Indi Hartwell announces engagement

Indi Hartwell is now engaged.

The current TNA star confirmed the news on Sunday, sharing photographs of the ring on social media, tagging herself and now fiance Lissette.

“It’s giving forever,” she wrote, showing a ring emoji. “Thank you @hinge.”

Wrestlers on social media congratulated Hartwell on her engagement including Taya Valkyrie, Kacy Katanzaro, Priscilla Kelly, Shane Haste, and Elayna Black.

Hartwell is best known for her run in NXT, where she was part of The Way with Austin Theory, Johnny Gargano, and Candice LeRae. She eventually formed a relationship with Dexter Lumis, which continued until his release from WWE. After winning the NXT Women’s Championship in 2023, she was called up to the main roster where she teamed with LeRae until she was released in October of last year.

Since joining TNA in April, Hartwell has been a notable competitor in the promotion’s Knockouts division. She failed to defeat Kelani Jordan at Bound For Glory, but rebounded at Turning Point on Friday when she defeated Dani Luna in a no disqualification match.

Torrie Wilson welcomes birth of new child

Torrie Wilson is a new mom.

The WWE Hall of Famer, 50, revealed on social media that she is a new mother via surrogate. She took time to reflect on her first-time experience, saying that she felt the moment had come just in the nick of time.

“Poppi Wilson Tupper was born via our angel surrogate a few months ago,” she announced. “I wasn’t sure if “Mommy” was going to be in the cards for me. As I write this, I’m filled with emotion & gratitude. I feel like I slid onto the subway train just as the doors were closing. Thank you for making my dream come true,” tagging husband Justin Tupper.

Other wrestlers took time to congratulate Wilson, including Mickie James and Carmella.

Wilson is best remembered for her time in WWE, joining the company in 2001 after WCW folded. She feuded with the likes of Stacy Keibler, Sable, Dawn Marie and managed stars such as Tajiri and Carlito. She retired from pro wrestling in 2008 but has made sporadic appearances since then, including competing in the 2021 Royal Rumble. She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019.

Report: Update on absent WWE NXT star

Tony D’Angelo’s status remains up in the air.

The former NXT North American Champion hasn’t been seen on television since the end of July. According to a new Fightful report, D’Angelo was backstage at the November 11 NXT show in Orlando, but wasn’t dressed to train or film anything for TV. The report noted that it had been “a rarity to see him these days” and people were happy to see him there.

D’Angelo was last seen on television back on the July 30 edition of NXT. After concluding his feud with former associate Stacks, he was seen at his restaurant eating alone when suddenly he spotted someone off-screen. The scene immediately went to black and the show ended, similar to the infamous series finale of ‘The Sopranos’.

Signing with WWE in 2021, D’Angelo quickly became popular in NXT, forming a group of associates that included Stacks, Adrianna Rizzo, and Luca Crusifino. After Stacks turned against D’Angelo at this year’s Stand & Deliver, the feud culminated in a triple threat match that took place in July, with D’Angelo defeating both Stacks and Crusifino.

Je’Von Evans on upcoming Last Time Is Now tournament match: ‘I’m so blessed’

Je’Von Evans is excited about his upcoming Raw match.

Evans will take on a returning Gunther this Monday on WWE Raw in an opening round match in the Last Time Is Now tournament. Talking to Yahoo Sports, Evans considered it a blessing to take part in the tournament to decide John Cena’s final opponent.

“I’ve always been a fan of Cena, especially me being younger. He always played to the younger fans. I’m so blessed to be in this position and have this opportunity,” he said. “There’s a picture of my first WWE event — I’m wearing John Cena’s headband and wrist joints. This is insane.”

“I know that the process to get into [Cena’s final match] is going to be trouble, for sure,” he added. “It’s going to be mountains, it’s going to be speed bumps, but I’m willing to get there. Whatever I need to do, whatever I’ve got to do, whatever helps me get to that match, to have that match with Cena, I’m ready to take all that on.”

Evans has a busy week ahead of him. In addition to his match on Raw, he and TNA’s Leon Slater will challenge DarkState for the NXT Tag Team titles on this coming Tuesday’s NXT Gold Rush, which will be held at The Theatre in Madison Square Garden.

Sheamus praises ‘incredible’ WWE NXT star following house show match

Sheamus has praise for one particular NXT talent.

Talking to Busted Open Radio, it was mentioned that Sheamus had been working NXT house shows this past week. On November 13, he defeated Je’Von Evans in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Celtic Warrior took time to give Evans his flowers, praising his athletic ability.

“Not only can he do athletic things, he looks like he’s bouncing on the moon, he’s got anti-gravity boots on,” Sheamus explained. “Took a beating and gave it back, and just you can see he’s just so excited to be there. He’s 21 years old, incredible.”

“He’s even put some muscle on as well, he’s bulked up a bit, and it hasn’t affected his athleticism or the stuff he does,” he added. “And also, he’s always smiling, he’s just so happy to be there.”

Evans has had some high profile matches in NXT, including wrestling Randy Orton. He will appear on Monday’s Raw as part of the Last Time Is Now tournament, taking on a returning Gunther. He will also team with TNA’s Leon Slater to challenge DarkState for the NXT Tag Team titles on the first night of Gold Rush this coming Tuesday.

The title win comes as Mone looks to make history with a potential 14th title victory next weekend at AEW’s Full Gear event when she challenges Kris Statlander for the AEW Women’s Championship, a title she failed to win earlier this year at All In. K&S Wrestlefest claims Goldberg walked out of private autograph signing

Goldberg walked out of a previously scheduled autograph signing.

K&S WrestleFest shared on social media Saturday that Goldberg did not participate in a previously scheduled private autograph signing, writing that he walked past them and left after doing a signing for another vendor.

“Unfortunately Goldberg PRIVATE Signing did not happen,” they wrote. “We had all our items laid out ready to sign as Goldberg was doing another Private for another vendor. After he was done, he got up and said he was done…He walked out past our stuff, and left..We are all super disappointed, and frustrated…My apologies to all…”

Goldberg had his final match earlier this year, losing to Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event back in July. As Goldberg was giving his retirement speech, he was cut off, leading to some controversy.

“Let’s just say I’m pissed off at the way I went out,” he said in an interview shortly after the match took place. “Because I put so much into it and I don’t feel as though the effort was reciprocated to put a stamp on what I’ve accomplished. Again, I’m not going to say that I’m not ecstatic with the opportunity that I got.”

The WWE Hall of Famer also caused a stir last month when he said in an interview that “some girl” beat his undefeated streak, referring to current WWE star Asuka.

Title unification match set for three-hour AEW Dynamite

A title unification match is now set for the final AEW Dynamite before Full Gear.

It was announced in the closing moments of Collision that Red Velvet will finally get her chance to unify the ROH Women’s Television Championship, squaring off against interim champion Mercedes Mone. This happens just days before Mone faces Kris Statlander for the AEW Women’s Championship at Full Gear.

Velvet has been out since June, suffering an injury that required AEW to crown an interim Women’s Television Champion. Mina Shirakawa originally won the title at Supercard of Honor, but lost it in a winner-takes-all match against Mone at AEW WrestleDream.

Two AEW Women’s Tag Team tournament quarterfinal matches will also take place. Toni Storm and Shirkawa will team to take on Riho and Alex Windsor, the latter of whom picked up a victory on Saturday. Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir will team together to face TayJay. Shafir attacked Tay Melo on Saturday, causing Melo cut a promo afterwards calling Shafir out.

After The Death Riders emerged victorious in the opening match of Saturday’s Collision, PAC cut a promo and referenced what he had done to Darby Allin at Blood & Guts, throwing him off a platform and onto a flaming table. PAC then issued the challenge for Full Gear one week from Saturday, and later it was made official.

A new match was also set for the Tailgate Brawl pre-show. A four-way match for $200,000 will take place between Max Caster & Anthony Bowens, the Bang Bang Gang, Bryan Keith & Big Bill, and The Outrunners. CMLL notes: New NJPW Strong Tag Champions, Templario, AEW stars announced

Notes from Friday’s CMLL show in Arena Mexico.

New Strong Openweight Tag Team Champions were crowned when Angel de Oro and Niebla Roja defeated Templario and TJP to win the titles. Towards the end of the match, it appeared that Templario suffered a right leg injury and was unable to continue further. After the match was over, TJP raised the hand of the new champions, who posed with the titles.

Templario & TJP won the titles back in May, defeating the World Class Wrecking Crew at NJPW Resurgence. With the company choosing not to run any events in the United States in the second half of the year, the duo had mainly been defending the titles in Mexico leading to tonight’s match.

AEW talent was announced for next Friday’s event. Komander and The Beast Mortos will appear, though it is not known who their opponents will be. Meanwhile, JetSpeed will take on two thirds of the Sky Team, Mascara Dorada and Neon.

Friday’s event, the third sellout in as many weeks with over 16,000 attending, had a Linkin Park theme as banners were seen in the arena featuring members of the band. The main event had Atlantis Jr. and Neon defeating Volador Jr. and Hechicero.

TNT title match part of updated AEW Collision lineup

Three new matches are set for Saturday’s Collision.

During a livestream, Tony Khan announced that Kyle Fletcher was looking to defend the TNT title ahead of Full Gear, where he’s set to face Mark Briscoe. Khan decided to give the opportunity to Scorpio Sky, mentioning that he says has been undefeated since returning to AEW earlier this year.

Khan also took time to praise Maya World and Hyan, noting that they stepped up at the last minute to take on TayJay last week. He said they would get another chance to prove themselves on Saturday by taking on Riho and Alex Windsor. World & Hyan were last minute replacements for Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize, who walked out of last week’s AEW Collision after they were told they’d only get three minutes for their match that they were scheduled to lose.

In his final announcement, Khan said an All Star 8-Man Tag Team match would take place. Bandido will team up with Juice Robinson and JetSpeed to take on FTR, Sammy Guevara, and Rush.

Here is the updated lineup for Collision:

AEW Collision, Saturday, November 15 —

  • Riho & Alex Windsor vs. Maya World & Hyan
  • All Star 8-Man Tag: Bandido, Juice Robinson, JetSpeed vs. FTR, Sammy Guevara, and Rush

Tony Khan says he’s talked to Billy Corgan over AEW National Championship

Tony Khan and Billy Corgan have talked things out.

During a livestream on Friday night, Khan said he talked to the NWA President over his introduction of a new championship, the AEW National title. After stressing that this would have a completely different lineage from the NWA’s version of the title, Khan said he and Corgan had a “nice conversation.”

“I ended up having a really nice conversation about it with the President of the NWA, Billy Corgan,” Khan said. “I have a lot of respect for him and a lot of respect for what he’s doing. I really love the traditions of pro wrestling and I had a really nice talk with Billy and we hadn’t talked in a long time so I think it was good for him to hear this. I respect him and I respect the NWA, and we’re trying to do something different here.”

When the National title was announced, it caused controversy with some NWA wrestlers, including current NWA National Champion Mike Mondo.

AEW’s latest title will be determined in a Casino Gauntlet match at Full Gear on November 22. Khan said during the stream that matches will soon take place to determine the first and second spots in the match.

NXT vs. TNA storyline continues at Turning Point

The battle between NXT and TNA appears to be far from over.

After tonight’s main event that saw Mike Santana pin Frankie Kazarian in their tag team match, Nic Nemeth attempted to cash in his Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy. Before he could, however, a NXT group consisting of Stacks, Charlie Dempsey, Lexis King, Brooks Jensen, High Ryze, and Mr. Stone came out and attacked all three men as well as Santana’s tag team partner Steve Maclin. Sinner & Saint of TNA attempted to help, as well as The Hardy Boyz, but the numbers game proved to be too much. Santino Marella attempted to restore order, but Mr. Stone ordered he be taken out as well. The closing moments of Turning Point saw the NXT wrestlers stand tall.

The angle started on Thursday during a live episode of Impact when the same group of NXT wrestlers interfered in the main event that ultimately led to Santana losing the TNA Championship to Kazarian. During Turning Point, Marella confronted Ava backstage about the situation. The NXT GM said that she had no involvement with what happened on Impact and would provide additional security so it wouldn’t happen again. Shawn Michaels on social media said he was “looking into it.”

Back at Showdown last month, the two promotions held two Survivor Series elimination matches. NXT won the women’s match, but team TNA won the men’s, with Santana and Moose emerging as the winners after Trick Williams walked out on Ricky Saints. Santana would go on to beat Williams later that month to win the TNA World Championship.

Dezmond Xavier reunites with The Rascalz at TNA Turning Point

All four members of The Rascalz have now reunited.

The former Wes Lee returned to TNA at Friday’s Turning Point event, reuniting with Zachary Wentz, Trey Miguel, and Myron Reed. After a showcase match full of high-flying manuvers, Xavier picked up the win for his team by pinning Dango after a sky twister press. After the match, both members of The Rascalz and The System embraced one another, with both teams remaining on friendly terms.

Xavier was among a number of NXT and WWE ID talent cuts that took place last month. In the weeks following his release, Xavier has already been booked for appearances for Pro Wrestling Revolver and House of Glory.

Signing with WWE back in 2021, Xavier and Wentz teamed together as MSK on NXT until Wentz was released the following year. Xavier continued as a singles, at one point winning the NXT North American title. When NXT began their relationship with TNA, Wentz and Miguel made appearances on NXT and feuded with Xavier after he turned against them.
