Hulk Hogan’s widow denies Ric Flair’s ‘street drugs’ death claim

Hulk Hogan’s family is denying Ric Flair’s claims regarding his death.

Hogan’s widow Sky told TMZ Sports on Monday that Flair’s allegations that street drugs caused his death were not true.

“That didn’t happen at all,” she said.

Sky said that Hogan was under constant care of Morton Plant Hospital in Florida, and the only changes to Hogan’s medicine came following his neck procedure to make sure whatever he was taking didn’t impact his lungs. TMZ additionally asked other family sources about Flair’s claim who also denied the allegations.

On social media, Ric Flair said he should have never mentioned it and asked to move past the incident so Hogan’s legacy can be focused on instead.

“Okay Sky! I Got Bad Information According To You,” he wrote. “I Should Have Never Mentioned It. I Have Known Hogan Since 1979. Let’s Just Move Past This And Concentrate On His Legacy. Period, End Of Story. Let’s PRESERVE HIS LEGACY Rather Than Dwell On Any Negative Energy. I Repeat- Hulkamania Forever!”

Flair claimed in a recent interview that Hogan’s death was due to “street drugs” he sought out after doctors stopped prescribing him medicine for pain. Flair later posted on social media said he was only repeating what he knew to be a fact through family members.

Hogan died on July 24, with his official cause of death being listed as a heart attack. It has been previously reported that Sky is looking to file a malpractice lawsuit against “at least one of [Hogan’s] doctors and others” over an operation that took place shortly before his passing.

Becky Lynch declares she’s boycotting WWE Raw ‘until my demands are met’

Becky Lynch is ‘boycotting’ WWE Raw.

On social media, Lynch declared she was boycotting the show until a list of demands were met: the return of the Women’s Intercontinetnal title she lost last month, the suspension of referee Jessika Carr, and an apology.

“EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, I, BECKY LYNCH, THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME (NOT JUST ME SAYING IT), WILL BOYCOTT MONDAY NIGHT RAW UNTIL MY DEMANDS ARE MET: MY TITLE IS RETURNED TO ME (SIDE PLATES INCLUDED), CARR IS SUSPENDED, AND AN APOLOGY IS ISSUED,” she wrote. “THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!”

In addition, Lynch shared an in-character vlog documenting her Survivor Series week, including the aftermath of her loss.

Lynch took the submission loss for her team on Saturday, tapping out to AJ Lee’s Black Widow. The two have been feuding since Lee returned to the company back in the fall, with Lee and husband CM Punk defeating Lynch and Seth Rollins in a mixed tag match. Lee also cost Lynch the Intercontinetnal title after distracting Lynch long enough for Maxxine Dupri score the pin with a crossbody.

Joe Doering battling third brain tumor, GoFundMe launched

Joe Doering continues to battle brain cancer.

In a GoFundMe post, Doering’s sister-in-law Mandy Banh gave an update on Doering’s health, writing that he is battling a third brain tumor and has undergone radiation and his first round of chemotherapy.

“Hi, my name is Mandy, and as my brother in-law approaches 10 years of battling Brain Cancer, he finds himself in the midst of battling a third brain tumor. Joe has underwent radiation & his first round of chemotherapy- to continue for at least 5 more months,” she wrote. “Joe and my sister have put so much determination and resilience into Joe’s fight over the past 10 years I was hoping to help alleviate some financial worries that naturally come along with medical bills combined with my sister needing to take some time off work to accommodate Joe’s multiple medical and rehabilitation appointments.”

“This journey has not been easy on them, and with Joe not having any family in Canada, all of the load ends up on my sister’s shoulders,” she continued. “After Joe’s last brain surgery in 2022, located on his brain stem, he developed ataxia on his right side, which has greatly impacted his mobility. Joe works very hard with physiotherapy, however, he mostly uses his wheelchair in his day-to-day life, requiring assistance when using stairs, a walker, and any transitioning. This has been a great change, as one would imagine, from being a professional sports athlete.”

Banh wrote that despite the current situation, Doering remains focused on fighting the disease privately.

“However despite this great challenge, Joe has remained determined, focused, and most of all- in good spirits! He chooses not to feel sorry for himself and battles his journey very privately. I feel after 10 years, to show Joe more love- that he still has support and encouragement- will help him embark on this latest battle!,” she wrote.

Doering previously battled cancer in 2016 before returning to AJPW the following year. He joined TNA in 2020 and continued to be part of the roster until 2022, when it was announced his cancer had returned and would be undergoing surgery shortly thereafter.

Rush and Dralistico both likely need surgery for their injuries

Both Rush and Dralistico look to be out of action for some time.

Bryan Alvarez is reporting that both members of LFI will likely need surgeries for their respective injuries. For Rush, Alvarez writes that he’s been working through knee injury and as a result, he’s worse off.

“We are told Rush has been working with a bad knee for years, but because he wanted opportunities on Collision and Dynamite he didn’t want to take time off,” Alvarez writes. “Working through it made it worse, and as Tony Khan noted in a media call this week, he’s off the Ring of Honor Final Battle show and almost certainly needs surgery. He will be evaluated in the next week or so and almost certainly undergo surgery. It is believed he had knee surgery previously in Mexico but it was messed up and didn’t solve the problem.”

As for Dralistico, he suffered an injury to his ear in two different matches. Like his brother, he tried to work through his injury, but eventually was unable to.

“Dralistico suffered injuries to his ear in two different matches. He also worked through it since he was hoping to get regular work on the main roster, but eventually it became too painful and he was told he’d need surgery to fix it,” Alvarez says. “He’s either already undergone surgery or will undergo surgery shortly.”

Rush was scheduled to face Bandido at Final Battle but was replaced by a Survival of the Fittest match. Additionally, it was announced on Friday that Rush would vacate the ROH Tag Team titles with Sammy Guevara, who will now team with The Beast Mortos to face Tommy Billington and Adam Priest in a match for the vacant titles at Final Battle.

Backstage on Friday, The Miz begged Nick Aldis to be put in the match and by a stroke of luck, his name was pulled out of the tumbler. Despite the break, Miz wasn’t able to defeat Knight, who scored the victory with the BFT.

On the other side of the bracket, Gunther is set to take on Solo Sikoa after Gunther defeated Carmelo Hayes and Sikoa defeated Penta following a referee stoppage. Sikoa also emerged victorious on Friday after emerging as the sole survivor in a traditional Survivor Series elimination match.
