Exclusive details on Rush’s knee injury & who influenced decision to skip surgery

Former Ring of Honor World Champion Rush will make his in-ring return on this Saturday’s AEW Collision and there’s some exclusive details from our Bryan Alvarez regarding his decision to skip surgery.

In late-November, AEW head Tony Khan revealed Rush wasn’t medically cleared due to a knee injury and had to be pulled from a planned match with ROH World Champion Bandido. Shortly thereafter, Alvarez reported that Rush had been dealing with the injury for years and he almost certainly needed to undergo surgery.

On Thursday, Alvarez stated that Rush was sent to an NFL doctor who told him he could either get surgery and be out for a considerable amount of time or do three months of “hard rehab” and see how he felt.

“Apparently, rehab went well as he returned last night and told people the knee felt great,” Alvarez wrote.

Rush’s brother Dralistico also took time off at the same to recover from two ear injuries. The brothers will be part of a four-way tag team match in Tucson, Arizona, this Saturday on Collision which will also feature Private Party, The Swirl and The Outrunners.

La Faccion Ingobernable in-ring return set for next AEW Collision

Rush and Dralistico of La Faccion Ingobernable are now confirmed for their in-ring return for the upcoming AEW Collision episode.

LFI member Rush and Dralistico will now take part in a 4-way tag match on the March 7 episode of Collision. Rush and Dralistico are now scheduled to face The Swirl (Blake Christian & Lee Johnson), The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum), and Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen) with $200,000 on the line.

Rush has been out of in-ring action and sidelined with a knee injury since November, 2025. He was previously scheduled to face Bandido for the ROH World Title at ROH Final Battle, which was later scrapped for a Survival of the Fittest match. His tag team partner, Dralistico, underwent surgery in December, 2025.

AEW Collision lineup | March 7, 2026

The upcoming March 7, 2026, episode of AEW Collision is set to take place at Tucson Arena in Tucson, Arizona.

LFI (Dralistico & RUSH) vs. The Swirl (Blake Christian & Lee Johnson) vs. The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum) vs. Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen) – $200,000 4-way tag team match

Update on Dralistico’s AEW return

Dralistico is close to returning from the injury that has sidelined him since late 2025.

In December, Dralistico announced that he had undergone an undisclosed surgery. He had been trying to work through ear injuries but was sidelined toward the end of October, last competing in a trios match where La Faccion Ingobernable lost to Komander, Mark Briscoe & Roderick Strong. It’s been four months since Dralistico last wrestled, but our Bryan Alvarez reports that Dralistico has received clearance from his own doctors and is now just waiting to be cleared by AEW.

“Dralistico is said to have been cleared by his doctors in Mexico and is awaiting clearance from AEW, so he should be back soon,” Alvarez writes.

When Dralistico had surgery in December, he sent out a message thanking the fans for their support and Tony Khan for everything Khan has done for him. Dralistico has been signed to AEW since 2023 and is part of the promotion with his brother Rush. Their younger brother Dragon Lee wrestles for WWE.

Rush is also out of action at the moment with his own injury, which is a knee issue.

AEW wrestler undergoes surgery

Dralístico had surgery today.

The LFI member suffered an injury to his ear in two different matches recently. He worked through it for a period but was eventually told he’d need surgery to fix it.

Dralistico revealed on Wednesday that he’s having the surgery today, writing, “The day has arrived. 🚑🏥 #AEW”

Dralístico hasn’t wrestled since the October 29 episode of Collision, when he teamed with Sammy Guevara and The Beast Mortos in a loss to Komander, Roderick Strong, and Mark Briscoe.

Bryan Alvarez addressed Dralistico’s injury last month, writing, “Dralistico suffered injuries to his ear in two different matches. He also worked through it since he was hoping to get regular work on the main roster, but eventually it became too painful and he was told he’d need surgery to fix it.”

Dralístico’s brother and LFI stablemate Rush is also out of action and expected to have surgery. He had been working through knee injuries he’s been dealing with for years. As a result of the injury, Rush and Sammy Guevara vacated the ROH Tag Team Championships and Rush was removed from the lineup for Final Battle.

Dralistico’s social media post is below:

On Monday, Rush posted a photo of him by a set of free weights at the gym:

Rush and Dralistico both likely need surgery for their injuries

Both Rush and Dralistico look to be out of action for some time.

Bryan Alvarez is reporting that both members of LFI will likely need surgeries for their respective injuries. For Rush, Alvarez writes that he’s been working through knee injury and as a result, he’s worse off.

“We are told Rush has been working with a bad knee for years, but because he wanted opportunities on Collision and Dynamite he didn’t want to take time off,” Alvarez writes. “Working through it made it worse, and as Tony Khan noted in a media call this week, he’s off the Ring of Honor Final Battle show and almost certainly needs surgery. He will be evaluated in the next week or so and almost certainly undergo surgery. It is believed he had knee surgery previously in Mexico but it was messed up and didn’t solve the problem.”

As for Dralistico, he suffered an injury to his ear in two different matches. Like his brother, he tried to work through his injury, but eventually was unable to.

“Dralistico suffered injuries to his ear in two different matches. He also worked through it since he was hoping to get regular work on the main roster, but eventually it became too painful and he was told he’d need surgery to fix it,” Alvarez says. “He’s either already undergone surgery or will undergo surgery shortly.”

Rush was scheduled to face Bandido at Final Battle but was replaced by a Survival of the Fittest match. Additionally, it was announced on Friday that Rush would vacate the ROH Tag Team titles with Sammy Guevara, who will now team with The Beast Mortos to face Tommy Billington and Adam Priest in a match for the vacant titles at Final Battle.

Rush makes in-ring return at AEW Collision taping

The following contains spoilers for this Saturday’s AEW Collision.

After being away for a few months, former Ring of Honor World Champion Rush made his return to AEW Wednesday in Huntsville, Alabama, flanked by his brother, Dralistico.

In a match taped for this Saturday’s Collision, Rush became Max Caster’s first entry for his open challenge series. It was his first singles bout since last August and he picked up the victory convincingly. Afterward, he argued with LFI member The Beast Mortos.

The 36-year-old was last seen competing in a tag team match on the November 14th Collision as he and Mortos lost to Caster & Anthony Bowens in a Full Gear Tag Team title qualifying match. Fightful Select reported earlier this month that Rush and Mortos were originally supposed to win, but there was heat on them after Rush got physical with Richard Holliday on Rampage that same week as Holliday was being tended to by medical personnel.

Dralistico hasn’t competed in AEW since the October 30th Rampage where he, Rush and Mortos were victorious in a trios match. His in-ring return date is still unknown.

AEW mentioned the brothers in passing in early-December, saying they were home “dealing with family matters.”

AEW provides status update on Rush & Dralistico

AEW gave an update on the whereabouts of Rush and Dralistico during this week’s episode of AEW Collision.

Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness explained the recent absences of the two LFI members, saying that they have been absent due to being “at home with family matters.” No other specifics were provided during the broadcast.

Rush last appeared on AEW Collision on November 14th, teaming with fellow LFI member The Beast Mortos in a losing effort against The Acclaimed. In the case of Dralistico, he appeared at the Rampage taping on October 30th, teaming with Rush and Mortos in a winning effort against Beef, JD Drake & The Butcher. He did, however, turn up at the Arena Del Valle Lucha Libre show on December 1st.

Mortos worked this week’s Collision, earning a squash victory over Aaron Solo. It was announced afterward that he will be competing against AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada in the ongoing Continental Classic tournament at next week’s Winter is Coming edition of AEW Collision.

Lucha libre three-way match set for AEW Collision Grand Slam

A three-way lucha libre match featuring the return of Dralistico is set for Saturday’s AEW Collision.

AEW announced Monday night that a match celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month between The Beast Mortos, Hologram, and Dralistico would take place at AEW Grand Slam on Wednesday. It will be taped for Collision, which airs this Saturday.

“As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, don’t miss AEW live in New York this Wednesday!,” AEW wrote on X.

This is the first time Dralistico is wrestling for AEW in 2024. His last match for the company was at Full Gear 2023 last November, losing a tag team ladder match for the AEW Tag Team titles.

The Beast Mortos and Hologram regularly wrestle on AEW Collision. They last wrestled against each other on last week’s show, where Hologram & The Conglomeration defeated Mortos and The Premier Athletes.

Dralistico announces departure from Lucha Libre AAA

Dralistico is departing Lucha Libre AAA and going independent in Mexico.

In a social media post on Tuesday, Dralistico announced that he’s no longer with AAA and is now totally independent in Mexico. Dralistico is still under contract with AEW in the United States. After being added to the roster page on AEW’s website in October, Dralistico officially announced his AEW signing on November 1.

Dralistico thanked AAA and left the door open for him to compete for the promotion again in the future.

Dralistico is the brother of AEW wrestler Rush and WWE wrestler Dragon Lee. Dralistico & Lee were briefly AAA Tag Team Champions together in December 2022.

Last month, Dralistico main evented AAA Guerra de Titanes in a loss to Mega Champion Dragon Lee.

In AEW, Dralistico and Rush are part of La Faccion Ingobernable. Dralistico & Rush teamed together in a four-way Tag Team title ladder match at AEW’s Full Gear pay-per-view in November. Ricky Starks & Big Bill won the match to retain their titles.

Dralistico & Preston Vance defeated Angelico & Serpentico on last week’s episode of Ring of Honor television.

Dralistico signs contract with AEW

Dralistico has signed a contract with AEW.

The La Faccion Ingobernable member shared on Wednesday a video of himself signing a contract with AEW, shaking hands with Tony Khan upon completion. Last week, he was added to AEW’s roster on their webpage.

“Un honor pertenecer ala empresa que soñé llegar ahora soy oficialmente ALL ELITE [WRESTLER] y simplemente #AEWFightForever #AEWRampage #dralistico #AEWCollision END THEY WILL BURN l Thank you very much @TonyKhan for the opportunity #lafaccioningobernable,” Dralistco wrote.

Dralistico was the second Mistico to wrestle in CMLL until his departure from the company in 2021. Since then, he has wrestled for AAA. He started appearing for AEW last year as a member of La Faccion Ingobernable with his brother Rush, Preston Vance, and Jose the Assistant. His other brother, Dragon Lee, signed with WWE earlier this year.

After being off TV for the last several months, La Faccion Ingobernable made their return last Saturday on Collision, saving FTR from an attack by The House of Black.

MJF promo, Texas Tornado match announced for AEW Dynamite

AEW World Champion MJF will be on this Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite in his first live promo since last Sunday’s Double or Nothing.

MJF successfully defended the title at the PPV in a four-way over “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry, Darby Allin and Sammy Guevara, and appeared in a taped promo last Wednesday.

Speaking of Perry, he and FTW Champion Hook (JungleHook) will reunite for a Texas Tornado tag team match against LFI’s Dralistico & Preston Vance. While Hook was in the ring with Tony Schiavone Wednesday, LFI interrupted and as they were about to attack, Perry ran out to back Hook up.

The match and promo join a lineup headlined by Orange Cassidy defending his AEW International title against Swerve Strickland.

Here’s the current lineup for Colorado Springs, Colorado:

  • AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy defends against Swerve Strickland
  • Jay White vs. Ricky Starks [Juice Robinson & FTR banned from ringside]
  • MJF promo
  • JungleHook (Jack Perry & Hook) vs. Preston Vance & Dralistico in a Texas Tornado match

A Trios match featuring The Acclaimed is set for this week’s Rampage.

Britt Baker and Hikaru Shida will team together to take on Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir. Baker and Shida have joined forces against The Outcasts, who have targeted the two in recent months.

Ethan Page and The Gunns will also be in action. Following The Firm Deletion, Page has joined forces with The Gunns to take on The Hardys and Isiah Kassidy. On last week’s Rampage, Kassidy’s neck was injured after Page and The Gunns wrapped a chair around it and stomped on the chair.

Announced during Friday’s broadcast, Vikingo will defend the title against Dralistico after Jose The Assistant offered up the challenge in a pre-taped promo.

The show will air at 10 PM Eastern Saturday, April 22nd due to the NBA playoffs at TNT.

While the two have worked in tag team matches both with and against each other, this will be their first singles bout according to Cagematch.

This will be Vikingo’s second match in AEW after his much-discussed debut against Kenny Omega on Dynamite last month. He’s gone 2-0 in Ring of Honor with wins over Blake Christian and Komander with the latter happening at Supercard of Honor.

Vikingo defended the title against Gringo Loco in a match taped this past Wednesday that is expected to air on this Thursday’s Ring of Honor TV show on HonorClub. He will also defend the title in a four-way at this weekend’s AAA Triplemania Monterrey against Swerve Strickland, Komander and Rich Swann.
