Paige returns, wins gold at WWE WrestleMania 42

WWE is Paige’s house once again.

At WrestleMania 42 night one, Paige returned to WWE and worked her first match for the company in nearly a decade, teaming with Brie Bella to win the Women’s Tag Team titles. It was scheduled to be Nikki & Brie Bella teaming together in the match, but Nikki was unable to be cleared in time after suffering an ankle injury on SmackDown three weeks ago.

Nikki walked out with a crutch as The Bella Twins made their entrance tonight. Announcing that she would not be able to compete, Nikki said an “old friend” would be taking her place — bringing out Paige for her return.

That crutch ended up playing a big role in the fatal four-way match. Interfering during the finish, Nikki used the crutch as a weapon and struck Charlotte Flair with it. Paige then got her knees up when Alexa Bliss went for Twisted Bliss. She followed up with RamPaige on Bliss for the victory.

Nia Jax & Lash Legend were Women’s Tag Team Champions heading into tonight. The four-way bout featured Jax & Legend, Brie Bella & Paige, Charlotte & Bliss, and Bayley & Lyra Valkyria.

On commentary, Michael Cole brought up that Paige won the Divas Championship on her first night on the main roster back in 2014 and had now won gold again her first night back.

Paige was once medically disqualified from WWE due to neck issues, last wrestling for the company in December 2017. She remained with WWE in a non-wrestling role until departing the promotion in 2022. She then joined AEW, returning to the ring there and holding the AEW Women’s World Championship one time.

In March 2025, Paige (Saraya) and AEW mutually parted ways. She took the past year off from pro wrestling but had been training for her return recently.

Two title matches booked for next WWE Raw

Two title matches are set for next week’s Raw at Madison Square Garden.

WWE’s return to MSG will see a street fight for the World Tag Team titles. The Usos and Austin Theory & Logan Paul met on Monday but their non-title match ended in a DQ after Jey Uso used Paul’s brass knuckles to strike Austin Theory right in front of the referee. Backstage, an irate Paul Heyman demanded the title match for next week, with Adam Pearce saying he would take it under consideration.

After Bayley & Lyra Valkyria defeated The Kabuki Warriors, Bayley issued the challenge to Women’s Tag Team Champions Lash Legend & Nia Jax, saying she knew they could beat them. Bayley has been coming up short in title matches and is looking for a way to get to WrestleMania after missing last year’s show due to being attacked by Becky Lynch.

IYO SKY will meet Raquel Rodriguez after the two had a confrontation on Raw, with Rodriguez unhappy SKY got involved in her match last week.

WWE Raw (March 30)

  • Street fight for World Tag Team titles: The Usos defend against Austin Theory & Logan Paul
  • Women’s Tag Team titles: Lash Legend & Nia Jax defend against Bayley & Lyra Valkyria
  • IYO SKY vs. Raquel Rodriguez
  • Brock Lesnar will appear

The Bella Twins return to TV on WWE SmackDown

The Bella Twins are back, and are looking for the Tag Team titles.

Nikki and Brie made their return to WWE TV on Friday, coming out after Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss made their entrance for their imminent Tag Team title match against the Irresistible Forces. The twins declared that they were next in line for the Women’s Tag Team titles and would be at ringside for the upcoming title match to scout.

The twins ended up playing into the finish of the match when Nikki and Brie were caught in the crosshairs of a Flair/Jax brawl. Bliss got the upper hand for her team and was about to hit twisted Bliss on Jax when Brie entered the ring and attacked Jax for the disqualification. The confusion allowed The Irresistible Forces to recover and wreak havoc, laying out both teams in the process.

Brie Bella made her WWE return at the Royal Rumble, taking part in the women’s Rumble match. But after a promo featuring the two on the following Raw, they had been absent from TV ever since.

The Irresistible Forces win Women’s Tag Team titles on WWE SmackDown

New Women’s Tag Team Champions have been crowned.

Nia Jax and Lash Legend, the Irresistible Forces, defeated Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY to win the titles for the first time as a team. The finish had Ripley tag in and lay out Jax with the riptide. Legend came in from behind and planted Ripley with the Lash extension, pinning her to win the titles for her team.

Later backstage the two were celebrating, with Jax noting she was now a three-time Tag Team Champion and that Legend had won her first title in WWE. They announced that they would hold a celebration on next week’s SmackDown.

The two have been teaming up since last fall, when Lash was called up to the main roster. In recent weeks, they have been going under the name The Irresistible Forces, a play off of Jax’s nickname. The two teams previously met on the February 13 edition of SmackDown, ending in a no contest when all four women started to brawl on the outside.

Ripley & SKY had been champions for 54 days, defeating The Kabuki Warriors on the January 5 edition of Raw.

Women’s Tag Team title match part of next week’s WWE SmackDown lineup

A rematch for the Women’s Tag Team titles is part of next week’s SmackDown in Louisville, Kentucky.

This week’s show saw Nia Jax and Lash Legend reveal their new team name, the Irresistible Forces. It was also announced that the two will challenge for the Women’s Tag Team titles on next week’s show. They came up short in defeating Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY on last week’s show.

A singles match between Uncle Howdy and Solo Sikoa will also take place. After Tama Tonga defeated Ilja Dragunov on Friday, the MFTs continued to attack Dragunov and also took care of Matt Cardona and Apollo Crews, who attempted to make the save. Uncle Howdy appeared on the screen and challenged Sikoa to appear by himself next week, noting that he would do the same.

Other matches will see Jordynne Grace take on Candace LeRae after a backstage confrontation and Oba Femi meeting The Miz after they too had an encounter backstage.

WWE SmackDown (February 27)

  • WWE Women’s Tag Team titles: Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY defend against The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax & Lash Legend)
  • Jordynne Grace vs. Candace LeRae
  • Oba Femi vs. The Miz
  • Uncle Howdy vs. Solo Sikoa

Giulia & Kiana James named top contenders to WWE Women’s Tag titles

Rhea Ripley & Iyo Sky, the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, have new challengers following a number one contender’s match on SmackDown.

Kiana James & Giulia won a triple threat match on Friday night in Montreal, defeating the teams of Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax & Lash Legend.

The finish came after Legend hoisted Bliss into crucifix position, then swung her around and dropped her onto her face. Before she could make a cover, however, Flair knocked her out of position with a spear. James quickly hit the ring and splashed Bliss to pin her.

James & Giulia had just lost to Bliss & Flair on last week’s SmackDown. They did get a win over Alba Fyre & Chelsea Green in their last televised match as a team back in December.

The WWE has not announced when James & Giulia will get their title shot, but it won’t be this weekend—Ripley & Sky are scheduled to defend against Liv Morgan & Roxanne Perez tomorrow night on Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Title match announced for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

Liv Morgan & Roxanne Perez are getting a Women’s Tag Team title shot at WWE’s next Saturday Night’s Main Event special.

The January 24 edition of SNME will see Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY defend their newly won belts against Judgment Day’s Morgan & Perez. That was made official on Raw today with Morgan & Perez winning a triple threat match to become the new number one contenders.

The Kabuki Warriors and Bayley & Lyra Valkyria were the two other teams in the number one contender’s match. Asuka & Kairi Sane were looking to get another shot at the belts after dropping them to Ripley & SKY last week, but Morgan ended up pinning Sane for the victory. Sane did not notice that Morgan had tagged in — and Morgan capitalized on that by hitting Oblivion while Sane was focused on Perez.

Montreal’s Bell Centre is hosting the January 24 SNME special just one week before the Royal Rumble takes place in Saudi Arabia. Airing live on Peacock, this is the first SNME since John Cena retired on the show in December.

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event (January 24) —

  • Fatal four-way number one contender’s match for WWE Championship shot at Royal Rumble (competitors to be determined by qualifying matches)
  • Women’s Tag Team Champions Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY defend against Judgment Day (Liv Morgan & Roxanne Perez)

New Women’s Tag Team Champions crowned on WWE Raw

New Women’s Tag Team Champions were crowned on Raw.

IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley defeated The Kabuki Warriors (IYO SKY & Kairi Sane) in the opening match of Monday’s show to become the new Women’s Tag Team Champions. The finish had Ripley hitting the riptide and IYO hitting the over the moonsault on Asuka, with Ripley covering for the win. With the win, IYO has won her third WWE Women’s Tag Team title while Ripley has earned her second.

The two teams have been feuding for the last several months after the Kabuki Warriors turned against IYO, their former friend. They first squared off at Crown Jewel back in November, with SKY & Ripley scoring the win. Despite this, the Kabuki Warriors continued to target the duo, including Asuka misting both women at one point.

In the weeks leading up to tonight’s title match, other teams signaled that they wanted a shot at the titles as well, including Lash Legend & Nia Jax and former champions Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss. All four teams squared off in an eight-person tag team match on SmackDown, with Ripley, SKY, Bliss, and Flair scoring the win.

Title match confirmed for WWE NXT Homecoming

A WWE Women’s Tag Team title match is set for next week’s NXT Homecoming.

During Friday’s SmackDown, it was confirmed that Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss will be defending the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles against Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame, who won a three-way number one contender’s match on Tuesday’s show. SmackDown saw Chelsea Green and the Secret Hervice insisting they get their shot at the titles. Nick Aldis then confirmed that they would get a shot against whoever won the title match on Tuesday.

The Secret Hervice were originally set to get a title shot on the go-home SmackDown prior to Clash in Paris last month. However, Piper Niven was not cleared and as a result Green was set to replace her. But as the champions were making their entrance, the challengers attacked Charlotte’s knee, putting her out of action in storyline. Bliss instead defeated Green in a singles match.

Paxley & Dame defeated Fatal Influence and Sol Ruca & Zaria to become the new number one contenders.

WWE NXT Homecoming, Tuesday, September 16 —

  • Rhea Ripley, Tiffany Stratton & Stephanie Vaquer vs. Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx
  • NXT North American Champion Ethan Page defends against Tyler Breeze
  • WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss defend against Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley
  • Trick Williams & Carmelo Hayes vs. Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa
  • The Grayson Waller Effect with NXT Champion Oba Femi & number one contender Ricky Saints

Two title matches set for next WWE SmackDown

Two title matches are set for the next WWE SmackDown.

Sami Zayn will get his shot against US Champion Solo Sikoa just one day prior to Clash in Paris next Friday in Leon, France. Zayn shocked everyone last week by moving to the SmackDown brand and making it clear he was coming after Sikoa and his championship.

In a segment that took place on this week’s show, Zayn congratulated Jimmy Uso on he and Naomi’s pregnancy when the MFTs showed up. Sikoa said that Jimmy and Naomi’s newborn would have plenty of family members to welcome them into the world. Zayn told Sikoa that he wouldn’t be facing the underdog next week, he would be facing the WrestleMania main eventer.

The Secret Hervice will also get a title match, taking on Women’s Tag Team champions Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair. Piper Niven wrestled Flair on Friday and scored the upset win after Chelsea Green at ringside raked Flair’s eyes.

A number one contender’s match for the WWE Tag Team titles will also take place when The Street Profits take on Melo Don’t Miz. Both teams won matches on Friday, with the Street Profits defeating JC Mateo & Tonga Loa and Melo Don’t Miz pinning the Motor City Machine Guns.

WWE SmackDown (August 29, 2025):

  • United States Championship: Solo Sikoa defends against Sami Zayn
  • WWE Women’s Tag Team titles: Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair defend against The Secret Hervice (Piper Niven & Alba Fyre)
  • WWE Tag Team title number one contender’s match: Street Profits vs. Melo Don’t Miz

Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez recognized as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions

We now know what’s going on with the Women’s Tag Team titles.

After weeks of uncertainty, WWE clarified the status of the titles on Raw. Backstage, new World Tag Team Champions JD McDonagh and Finn Balor talked to Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce. Balor suggested that since Raquel Rodriguez had worked so hard to keep the Tag Team titles, she should be able to keep them with a new tag team partner, suggesting Roxanne Perez. After Pearce and Aldis briefly talked to one another they agreed to the plan, officially recognizing Rodriguez and Perez as Women’s Tag Team Champions.

The segment ended, however, with the GMs agreeing that the champions would have to prove their worth by defending the titles in a four-way match with teams from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT at WWE Evolution on July 13.

In a backstage segment later in the show, Raquel Rodriguez seemed hesitant to fully accept Perez as her new partner, noting that Morgan was already doing rehab. Balor said that rehabbing a shoulder injury would be hard work and all he wanted out of this was to see Rodriguez remain champion. A reluctant Rodriguez eventually agreed to the new situation.

Morgan suffered the shoulder injury minutes into a match with Kairi Sane on the June 16 episode of Raw. It was revealed last week that she has already undergone surgery.

Becky Lynch possibly replacing Bayley in WWE WrestleMania 41 Tag Team title match

Lyra Valkyria needs a tag team partner, and Becky Lynch could be it.

WWE shot an angle during the WrestleMania 41 Saturday pre-show in which Valkyria was seen running backstage only to see her tag team partner for Sunday, Bayley, lying on the floor and clutching her shoulder. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were then seen walking by, laughing at the predicament. Raw GM Adam Pearce confronted the champions but both denied having anything to do with the attack. Pearce said the match would take place as scheduled, and told Valkyria that she had 24 hours to find a tag team partner.

Bryan Alvarez is reporting that the Bayley injury is a story and has been in the works for a while, with the idea being that Becky Lynch will replace her in the upcoming WWE Women’s Tag Team title match on Sunday. Lynch notably was in town during WrestleMania weekend, sitting next to Seth Rollins during the Hall of Fame ceremony on Friday.

Valkyria & Bayley were named number one contenders after winning a gauntlet match on last week’s SmackDown.

This is not the first WrestleMania match that has been changed today. After suffering an injury during SmackDown, Rey Mysterio announced that Rey Fenix would be taking his place in the match against El Grande Americano.

Gigi Dolin & Tatum Paxley earn WWE Women’s Tag Team title shot

In the first match of WrestleMania weekend, Gigi Dolin & Tatum Paxley secured themselves a shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles.

The pre-show of NXT Stand & Deliver saw Dolin & Paxley win a fatal four-way elimination match to put themselves in line for a shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. They’re getting their match for the belts on NXT this Tuesday (April 22), but it remains to be seen who the champions will be. Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez have a title defense against Bayley & Lyra Valkyria at WrestleMania 41 night two tomorrow.

Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson were the first team eliminated from the four-way match. Roxanne Perez & Cora Jade were then eliminated next after Perez walked out on Jade.

It came down to Dolin & Paxley against Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Jacy Jayne). The babyfaces overcame interference by Jazmyn Nyx to get the win. Paxley took out Henley, then she and Dolin hit their Cemetery Drive finisher on Jayne for the victory.

Tuesday’s post-Stand & Deliver episode of NXT will air live from the BleauLive Theater at the Fontainebleau hotel in Las Vegas.

WWE Women’s Tag Team title match added to NXT Atlanta event

A date has been set for the next Women’s Tag Team title match.

Bianca Belair & Naomi will defend the titles against Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend in two weeks, when NXT holds a televised event at Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia on January 28. The two were successful in defending the Women’s Tag Team titles on Friday, defeating Nia Jax & Candice LeRae on SmackDown.

Legend & Jackson became the number one contenders on Tuesday’s NXT, defeating the Raw team of Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre, the Unholy Union. The two teams had been feuding in recent weeks leading to the number one contender’s match.

Naomi replaced Jade Cargill as Bianca’s teammate after Cargill was put through a windshield in November. The two noted backstage before their match that there were still no leads as to who actually took out Cargill.

Here is the updated lineup for WWE NXT at Center Stage:

  • NXT Women’s North American Champion Fallon Henley defends against Shotzi
  • WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair & Naomi defend against Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson

Women’s Tag Team title match added to WWE Bash in Berlin

The Women’s Tag Team titles will be on the line in Berlin.

SmackDown General Manager Nick Alids announced on social media Friday that The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn) would defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles against former champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair at Bash in Berlin on August 31.

Fyre and Dawn shocked everyone by winning the titles back in June at Clash at the Castle in their home country of Scotland. Belair & Cargill got their rematch on the August 2 edition of SmackDown. They won the match by DQ when Blair Davenport ran in and made the save for the champions, also saving their belts in the process. Cargill defeated Fyre the following week on SmackDown.

The champions most recently made a successful defense on Raw this past Monday, defeating Damage CTRL and Pure Fusion Collective in a three-way match.

Here is the updated card for Bash in Berlin:

  • Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes defends against Kevin Owens
  • WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther defends against Randy Orton
  • WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Unholy Union (Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn) defend against Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair
