Former WWE NXT wrestler signs with TNA Wrestling

The wrestler formerly known as Jakara Jackson has signed with TNA Wrestling.

Wrestling under the name Mara Sade, the former Jackson returned to TNA on Thursday’s live Impact episode as the mystery partner in a Knockouts trios match, teaming with The IInspiration’s Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay. The trio defeated Ash by Elegance, Heather by Elegance, and M by Elegance in the contest.

TNA announced that they have signed Sade to a contract, posting video of her inking the new deal with company president Carlos Silva and producer Tommy Dreamer.

Sade was part of the Meta Four stable in WWE NXT alongside Lash Legend, Noam Dar, and Oro Mensah. The group stood out in part due to a memorable and visually impressive entrance:

Jackson and LEgend made several appearances for TNA earlier this year, including challenging for the TNA Knockouts Tag Team titles at Rebellion in April.

Sade was released by WWE in May of this year, ending a nearly four-year-run with the company.

Jakara Jackson wrestles first post-WWE match in France

Jakara Jackson wrestled her first match outside of WWE this weekend.

Wrestling under her new ring name Mara Sade, she teamed with Tiara James and defeated Rhio and JGU at a 4th Rope Wrestling event in the suburbs of Paris, France on Saturday.

Sade also revealed that she recorded her new theme music herself.

Westside Gunn’s 4th Rope Wrestling

4th Rope Wrestling’s Heels Have Eyes: Pray Four Paris took place at Studio Jenny in Nanterre, France, and featured talent such as The Good Brothers, The Infantry, EJ Nduka, and Real1, the former Enzo Amore, who defended the promotion’s flyweight title against Thiago Montero. RevPro Champion Michael Oku and APC Champion Kuro went to a no contest in the main event.

4th Rope Wrestling was created by rapper Westside Gunn in 2024. So far, the promotion has run events in Austin, Texas (coinciding with SXSW), Las Vegas (during WrestleMania week), and Saturday’s show, which lined up with Fashion Week in Paris. Other events have taken place in Atlanta and Chicago.

Jakara Jackson’s first post-WWE match set for JCW event

Jakara Jackson’s first post-WWE match has been announced.

On Wednesday, Jersey Championship Wrestling revealed that Jackson, now wrestling as Mara Sadè, will challenge Masha Slamovich for the promotion’s world championship (provided Slamovich is still champion) at its July 6 event in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

Jackson was released from WWE on May 2. Shortly afterward, she published a video stating that she plans to continue her wrestling career.

“Do I wish that I could have shown the world what I can do on my own? Hell yes. And the way I see it, I’m still going to get that opportunity, just in a different way,” she said.

Although she initially stated she wanted to be referred to as Miss Jackson following her release, she has since updated her social media profiles to feature the name Mara Sadè.

Her most recent match took place at TNA Rebellion, where she teamed with Lash Legend in a four-way tag team title bout won by Heather and Ash By Elegance.

Jakara Jackson comments on WWE release, plans to continue wrestling

Jakara Jackson has commented on her WWE release.

Jackson was part of roster cuts the company made on May 2. In a video posted to her YouTube channel on Saturday, she asked to now be referred to as Miss Jackson. She also spoke about her WWE release, thanked her coaches, fans, and supporters, and confirmed she plans to continue her wrestling career.

“I did want to start by saying I’m very, very grateful and appreciative for my time in WWE,” Jackson said. “I don’t want anybody to think that just because something like this did happen that I’m upset.”

She added:

“Do I wish that I could have shown the world what I can do on my own? Hell yes. And the way I see it, I’m still going to get that opportunity, just in a different way.”

Jackson, who was a bodybuilder and fitness model before signing with WWE, appeared on NBC’s The Titan Games, hosted by The Rock, in 2020. She attended a WWE tryout the following summer and made her in-ring debut the next year. In 2023, she was paired with Lash Legend and joined Meta-Four with Oro Mensah and Noam Dar.

“I’ve gotten to do things that I never thought I would do,” she continued to say of her time in WWE. “I’ve gotten to speak to the best of the best who are in the business.”

Jackson last wrestled at TNA Rebellion in the Knockouts four-way tag title match won by Heather & Ash By Elegance. Her final WWE match came during WrestleMania Weekend at WWE World, where she and Legend defeated Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx.

Jackson’s full video is available below:

**********

Laredo vs. Jason Hotch (w/ Tasha Steelz)

The show opens up with Jason Hotch coming to the ring with Tasha Steelz. He settles inside the squared circle for the first match of the evening. His opponent, Laredo, comes out to a nice pop from the crowd. The bell sounds to get things started.

Hotch takes the early lead, overpowering Laredo and blasting him with chops in the corner. Laredo begins fighting back, landing a big kick and a neckbreaker. He heads to the top-rope and connects with a missile dropkick that sends Hotch to the floor.

Laredo follows up with a head-first dive through the ropes to the floor for the first loud “TNA! TNA!” chant of the evening. In the ring, Laredo hits a twisting senton off for a two-count. Hotch hits a rolling neckbreaker, Mustafa Ali-style, for a two-count of his own.

Laredo fights back, takes Hotch up to the middle rope and hits a Super Michinoku Driver for a close two-count. Fans chant “Uno Mas! Uno Mas!” but Laredo does not oblige, opting instead to blast Hotch with kicks. Hotch fights back and hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for a two-count.

Hotch suddenly gets randomly paranoid about Mike Santana possibly being under the ring. He looks under the ring skirt as Tasha yells at him to focus. Laredo takes over, hits his finisher off the ropes for the pinfall victory.

Match Result: Laredo defeated Jason Hotch

Gia Miller Interviews Leon Slater

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Leon Slater. She mentions his match in the main event of tonight’s Countdown to Unbreakable edition of TNA Impact, as well as his Ultimate X match coming up at Rebellion.

Slater talks about how nice it sounds to possibly be the TNA X-Division Champion. He doesn’t want to get ahead of himself, however, as he’s got business to deal with tonight. He remembers being hit with The System ring, but he’s grown since then and is a different animal.

He tells Brian Myers his focus is on beating his arse tonight and then, and only then, will he focus on becoming the TNA X-Division Champion at Rebellion.

Cody Deaner Approaches Santino Marella For Help

When the show returns, Santino Marella is backstage when he is approached by Cody Deaner, who brings up his TNA contract expiring soon. He asks him to help him out. He says it’s not all about wins and losses, it’s about entertainment and the fans.

He brings up being close to nearly pinning the X-Division Champion Moose. He says that’s got to count for something. Santino tells him he can face KC Navarro in an Ultimate X qualifying match. If he wins that and wins Ultimate X, he’s got a good case to make to get Deaner’s contract extended. Deaner thanks him and heads off.

Jazmyn Nyx (w/ Fatal Influence) vs. Xia Brookside (w/ Lei Ying Lee)

Inside the Impact Zone, the Fatal Influence trio from WWE NXT make their way to the ring. Jazmyn Nyx will be in action in the next match of the evening. Her opponent, Xia Brookside, makes her way out next accompanied by Lei Ying Lee.

The bell sounds to get things started. Nyx takes the early offensive lead, dominating Brookside and verbally taunting her all-the-while. Brookside starts to fight back, but in a Rocky II moment, they land a big kick at the same time that knocks the other down.

Brookside takes over from there, but as she nears a victory, hell breaks loose at ringside with Jacy Jane and Fallon Henley causing a distraction at ringside. Rosemary comes out and mists them, seemingly unexpectedly helping Brookside, who rolls Nyx up in the ring seconds later for the win.

Match Result: Xia Brookside defeated Jazmyn Nyx

KC Navarro vs. Cody Deaner to qualify for Ultimate X at TNA Rebellion

When the show returns, KC Navarro of First Class makes his way down to the ring. He settles inside to boos from the crowd. Cody Deaner is out next with a microphone in-hand. He talks about his job being on-the-line in this match.

Navarro ends up offering Deaner to take a $500 cash bribe to walk away and forfeit the match. He slaps each $100 on his chest for each of his four kids, and the fifth for his “misses.” Deaner says it’s not up to him if he leaves, but the people.

The people decide they want him to kick Navarro’s ass. He punches him and the match is off and running on that note. Navarro quickly fights back and takes over. Deaner eventually fights back and connects with his spinning TKO.

As Deaner seemed to have things won, Navarro wraps his chain around his fist and knocks out Deaner for the cheap victory. With the win, Navarro has qualified for the Ultimate X match at Rebellion.

Match Result: KC Navarro defeated Cody Deaner

Gigi Dolin & Tatum Paxley vs. Maggie Lee & Heather By Elegance

When the show returns from a break, a digital exclusive interview with KC Navarro gloating about qualifying for Ultimate X is shown. Highlights of George Iceman helping Maggie Lee beat Savannah Evans on TNA Xplosion is shown, and then a digital exclusive interview with Lee vowing no one can change her.

Inside the Impact Zone, George Iceman is on the microphone in the ring, introducing the crowd to Maggie Lee. He calls her an average farm girl. He brings out someone who is elegant, and that is Heather By Elegance. Their opponents, NXT duo Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley come out next.

Dolin and Lee kick things off for their respective teams. Dolin takes the early offensive lead over Lee. Lee eventually finds enough time to try and make a tag, but Heather refuses to take it. Eventually, Heather does get involved, hitting a double-team spot behind the referee’s back as Iceman provided a distraction.

In the end, however, it wasn’t enough, as two of NXT’s finest hit a double collision on Heather into a Sanitary Drive for the pinfall victory. With the win, they score a pinfall over one-half of the TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Champions, which the commentators emphasize on the broadcast.

Match Result: Gigi Dolin & Tatum Paxley defeated Maggie Lee & Heather By Elegance

Heather By Elegance Gives Out Title Opportunity To Multiple Teams

Backstage, The Meta Four, Gigi Dolin & Tatum Paxley and Spitfire all confront Heather By Elegance, Maggie Lee and George Iceman stating their claims for deserving TNA Knockouts Tag-Team title shots, after Heather and Iceman were already freaking out about Ash By Elegance learning of their loss tonight.

As all the teams are yelling at them, Heather panics and offers all of them a title match in a four-way. “Just stop yelling at me!” They’re all happy and leave. Iceman panics even more at the thought of Ash learning about this now as well.

Dani Luna (w/ Jody Threat) vs. Jakara Jackson (w/ Lash Legend)

After a quick digital exclusive where AJ Francis gloats about buying property ahead of his TNA International Championship match, a lengthy video package is shown documenting the historic AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe vs. Christopher Daniels match from 20 years ago at TNA Unbreakable.

Another digital exclusive interview airs with TNA World Champion Joe Hendry and TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich promoting their main event mixed tag-team match against Frankie Kazarian and Tessa Blanchard.

Inside the Impact Zone, The Meta Four duo of Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend head to the ring for the next match. As they do, Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt confirm on commentary that the four-way TNA Knockouts Tag-Team title match mentioned earlier is now confirmed for Rebellion.

Dani Luna comes out accompanied by Jody Threat and then the bell sounds for one-on-one action, with Jackson taking on Luna. Jackson immediately settles into the early offensive lead as the commentators spend several minutes ignoring the match to focus on the four-way title announcement.

The referee sees Lash Legend try and get involved one time too many, so she ejects her from ringside. Legend basically refuses to leave at first. Security and other referees come out but she knocks out the security. She ends up leaving anyways. A few minutes later, Luna picks up the pinfall victory.

Match Result: Dani Luna defeated Jakara Jackson

Elijah Takes Center Stage

When the show returns, a big grand introduction is made for Elijah. He appears in the ring with his guitar strapped over his shoulder. He sings one song and then plays to the crowd a bit. He then sings another song dissing Frankie Kazarian as the crowd claps along. “In TNA we Walk This Way!”

He goes on to issue the first-ever “Who Wants To Walk With Elijah” open challenge for TNA Rebellion on April 27 in Los Angeles, California. He mentions the challenge being extended to anyone from any company, whether they’re a legend or a new guy trying to make a name.

Brian Myers vs. Leon Slater

It’s main event time!

The Countdown to Unbreakable special episode of TNA Impact returns from commercial break to a special digital exclusive interview with Ethan Page. He talks about only having to focus on Joe Hendry in ten days. He knows Hendry’s arm is worse than he is letting on.

Inside the Impact Zone, Brian Myers makes his way to the ring for the final match of the evening in St. Joseph, MO., before things switch over to Las Vegas, NV. Because of this, the commentators point out none of his brothers in The System are here tonight to help him.

The rising rookie prospect Leon Slater makes his way out next to a good pop from the crowd. He settles inside the squared circle and the bell sounds to get things started. Slater goes to work on Myers with an assortment of kicks to take the early offensive lead.

Slater knocks Myers to the outside. He nearly does his dive over the ring post spot, but pumps the breaks as he notices Myers seeing it coming. Myers takes over when the match returns in the ring, focusing his attack on the knee and leg of “The Youngest in Charge.”

He ends up blasting him with The System ring for the cheap win. Hannifan and Rehwoldt run down the lineup for TNA Unbreakable and then the Countdown to Unbreakable special episode of TNA Impact wraps up.

Match Result: Brian Myers defeated Leon Slater

**********
Frankie Kazarian defeated Elijah

The theme for Joe Hendry kicked things off, as the TNA World Champion heads down to the ringside area to join Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt on special guest commentary for the first match of the show.

Frankie Kazarian’s entrance tune hits and the self-proclaimed “King of TNA” heads to the ring with his massive Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy in-hand. He settles inside, his music dies down, and the lights go down.

Elijah’s theme hits and out he comes with his trademark guitar over his shoulder. After he gets in the ring, the bell sounds and the first match of the show gets underway. Kazarian hits Elijah with a cheap-shot, but Elijah fights back and does Undertaker’s top-rope-walking “Old-School” spot.

Elijah looked to follow up with his signature piledriver, but Kazarian had it well-scouted and pumped the breaks. Kazarian slides out to the floor, but Elijah comes out after him. Kazarian ends up sending him face-first into the steel ring post.

Kazarian comes over and taunts Hendry, even slapping his headset nearly off his head. Hendry stands up and gets in his face. Hendry gets shoved into Elijah. Back in the ring seconds later, Kazarian rolls Elijah up and gets a handful of jeans to score the cheap pin.

After the bell sounds to end the match, Hendry hits the ring like a madman and tackles Kazarian down to the mat. He ground-and-pounds away until a ton of security guards hit the ring and break them up. They get free and the fight is on again. Elijah breaks it up.

The show went to a commercial break afterwards. When the show returned, Hendry was being checked by a TNA medic backstage about a potential arm injury. The medic, fearing a tear, insisted that Hendry go to get X-rays.

The System’s Bond Is Strong As Ever

Back inside the Impact Zone, Hannifan sets the stage on commentary for the next segment after showing video footage of Eddie Edwards talking to each member of The System last week. In the ring, Edwards brings it up himself and then tells every member of The System to come out.

The System theme hits and out comes Eddie’s wife, Alisha Edwards, as well as his tag-team partner Brian Myers, and fellow members Moose and JDC. He starts with JDC, saying he has known him longer than anyone, including his wife.

Edwards says he knows JDC is sick of losing. He wants him to tell him to his face if he’s in or out. JDC tells the fans to shut up and insists he’s in. The two hug. Edwards gives JDC his System ring. He moves on to his partner, Myers. He asks him the same. “Let’s finish what we started … I’m in!” he responds.

Eddie Edwards then moves on to his wife. He says he knows she doesn’t want to hang around losers. He asks her the same. She responds, as always, “Do you wanna know something?” She follows up, “I love you, I’m in.”

Last, but not least, Edwards approaches TNA X-Division Champion Moose in the corner. Fans start chanting Moose’s name. He asks if he’s in or not. Before Moose can respond, the theme for Cody Deaner interrupts them.

He says he’s been waiting all week to see someone get fired. He tries luring Moose into letting the fans decide, hoping he’ll leave The System, but in the end, gets beat down by all of them and left laying.

The Meta Girls (Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend) defeated Spitfire (Jody Threat & Dani Luna)

Backstage, Xia Brookside, Lei Ying Lee and TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich are with Gia Miller. They preview tonight’s match against Tessa Blanchard, Jacy Jane and Jazmyn Nyx. The show heads to another commercial break.

When the show returns, Santino Marella informs Moose that Matt Cardona and Leon Slater are the first two official participants for the Ultimate X match for the X-Division Championship at TNA Rebellion 2025. The System are told they’ll all be in matches on next week’s Impact.

Inside the Impact Zone, Spitfire duo Jody Threat and Dani Luna make their way to the ring, as do their opponents, Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson, the latter of whom receive loud “NXT! NXT!” chants from the fans in attendance.

In the early goings, the NXT duo overpower the former TNA Knockouts Champions. Threat ends up isolated in the ring for a prolonged period of time, with Jackson and Legend tagging in and out frequently to keep a fresh person on her at all times.

Threat starts fighting back, hitting Legend and Jackson over-and-over again by herself. Legend goes for a big shot but accidentally blasts Jackson and lays her out. Threat catches Legend with a big boot in the corner, but then leaps into Legend’s arms. Legend and Jackson hit the MKO for the win.

The Hardys (Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy) defeated The Great Hands (John Skyler & Jason Hotch)

Backstage, Mike Santana introduces Derek to TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella and walks off. Santino tells Derek he’ll show him around. Hannifan and Rehwoldt promote Santino’s “groundbreaking announcement” for later, and the show heads into another commercial break.

When the show returns, the iconic theme for The Hardys plays and out comes TNA World Tag-Team Champions Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy. Matt starts, addressing the attack he endured at the hands of Nic Nemeth. He shows a scar he suffered that scared his children and vows revenge.

Hardy even does some soft teases for a BROKEN Matt Hardy return with references to “BROKEN” and “DELETE! DELETE! DELETE!” Jeff Hardy laughs off The Nemeths’ claim of being the best brother duo in wrestling history.

The Hardys end up getting interrupted by The Great Hands duo of John Skyler and Jason Hotch, who come out to the ring with Tasha Steelz. After the two teams have words, Santino Marella comes out and makes a match between them.

The show heads to a commercial break, with the impromptu tag bout waiting on the other side. When the show returns, the bell sounds to start off the non-title bout. Steelz is on commentary with Hannifan and Rehwoldt. Matt starts off for his team and jumps into an early offensive lead.

After some more back-and-forth action, the show heads into a mid-match commercial break. When the show returns, after enjoying a few minutes in the offensive lead, The Great Hands find themselves back on the defensive after Jeff gets the hot tag, which leads to The Hardys scoring the pin.

Joe Hendry Medical Update

Backstage, Ryan Nemeth is getting under the skin of Leon Slater. This leads to some physicality, which several rush to the scene to break-up before it gets too far out of hand. Santino Marella enters the picture and makes a match between the two for next week.

The show heads to another commercial break on that note. When it returns, Gia Miler is backstage with the TNA lead doctor, who gives a medical update on the injury status of TNA World Champion Joe Hendry.

The doctor reveals that Hendry suffered a grade three severe sprain on his rotator cuff, which they mention is a bad injury. When asked about his status for TNA Rebellion 2025, it’s stated that it’s up in the air, while pointing out that Hendry is the champion and as tough as anyone who could fight through it.

Santino Marella Makes His “Groundbreaking Announcement”

Back inside the Impact Zone, TNA Digital Media Champion(s) Mance Warner and Steph De Lander make their way out to the top of the stage. They boast about being the champion(s) and talk about how in love they are, while also bragging about being on magazine covers.

Santino Marella’s theme cuts them off. He tells them they’ve never earned the TNA Digital Media Championship. He says he is taking the title. At TNA Unbreakable 2025, a tournament will be held to crown the first-ever TNA International Champion.

He says the tournament is a tribute to TNA Unbreakable 2005, where AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe vs. Christopher Daniels took place for the TNA X-Division Championship. As a tribute to it, every match in the tournament will be a three-way match.

As Santino demands Warner and De Lander to hand over the TNA Digital Media Championship, as they are refusing to do so, out of nowhere Warner is attacked behind with a baseball bat by Sami Callihan. Callihan then launches Warner off the stage and through a table.

He then picks up the TNA Digital Media Championship and hands it to Santino. He walks off as Hannifan drives home the significance of the groundbreaking announcement regarding the TNA International Championship.

Mustafa Ali Bullies Derek

The show heads to another commercial break after Derek is told Mustafa Ali wants a word with him. When the show returns, Ali talks to Derek about being an addict as a way of getting to Mike Santana once again.

He gives him drugs and says he’s an addict, so he’ll ruin himself. Later in the show, Santana catches up with him and he’s high.

George Iceman Has Sights Set On Maggie Lee

Backstage, George Iceman and Heather By Elegance talk about Ash By Elegance being on vacation. Santino mentions having his eye on someone, who he says is Maggie Lee. He’s got some ideas. He and Heather go off to have a drink and talk about them.

TNA International Title Tourney Match, Another Ultimate X Participant

Santino Marella announces the first round TNA International Championship tournament match for TNA Unbreakable, which will feature Eddie Edwards vs. Ace Austin vs. Steve Maclin.

El Del Vikingo is also announced for the TNA X-Division Championship Ultimate X match at TNA Rebellion 2025.

Tessa Blanchard, Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx (w/ Fallon Henley) defeated Masha Slamovich, Xia Brookside & Lei Ying Lee

It’s main event (match) time!

After the rapid-fire, back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back announcement segments, the show settles back inside the Impact Zone where the first team in the six-Knockouts tag-team main event make their way out to the ring.

TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich, Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee make their respective ring walks. Their opponents, Tessa Blanchard, and her partners from NXT’s Fatal Influence, Jacy Jane and Jazmyn Nyx, make their way out accompanied by Fallon Henley.

The bell sounds and things get officially off-and-running with Slamovich and Blanchard representing their respective teams. Slamovich runs wild on Blanchard, Hulkamania-style, straight out of the gate. As the action spills to the floor, the show shifts gears and heads into a mid-match commercial break.

When the show returns, the match continues in progress, as we see Rosemary watching on from in the middle of the crowd. All hell breaks loose with all six in the ring, culminating with Slamovich about to hit her finisher, only for Blanchard to strike from behind. Blanchard connected with her Buzzsaw finisher for the win.

TNA Rebellion 2025 Main Event Announced

It’s main event (segment) time!

But first, Santino Marella is shown backstage with the big gold tumbler. He is ready to randomly pick the next three men who will compete in the second officially announced triple-threat opening round match in the TNA International Championship Tournament at TNA Unbreakable 2025.

It will be Sami Callihan vs. Eric Young vs. JDC. After this, we see a shot of the Call Your Shot trophy. Frankie Kazarian picks it up and Hannifan and Rehwoldt mention the news regarding Joe Hendry’s opponent for his TNA World Championship defense at TNA Rebellion 2025 coming up next.

On that note, the show settles into the final commercial break of the evening. When the show returns, Santino Marella reveals Zachary Wentz vs. Mance Warner vs. AJ Francis in the third triple-threat qualifying match for the TNA International Championship at TNA Unbreakable 2025.

Sami Callihan comes in and demands to be put in the match. He tells Santino he’s not gonna like what he does if he doesn’t get his hands on Warner. Santino tells him okay. It’s now Callihan vs. Warner vs. Francis. The other match is now Wentz vs. Young vs. JDC. We then get the matches for next week’s show (see below).

Frankie Kazarian’s theme hits inside the Impact Zone and out he comes to the ring. He gets on the microphone and mentions Joe Hendry suffering an injury. He says he’s at the hospital getting treatment right now. He says he’s sorry. Sorry he didn’t end that idiots career tonight, because he could have.

Kazarian talks about being here to call his shot like a man. He mentions his plans to take the TNA World Championship from Joe Hendry at TNA Rebellion 2025. Ethan Page’s theme hits and out he comes. He and Kazarian have words.

Page mentions going to Santino and reveals he’s also in the TNA title tilt. It will be Joe Hendry vs. Ethan Page vs. Frankie Kazarian in a triple-threat match for the TNA World Championship at TNA Rebellion 2025. Kazarian didn’t like this news. TNA Sacrifice notes: Cora Jade, Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson, Nic Nemeth

Notes from Friday’s TNA Sacrifice event.

Cora Jade, who has been out of action since a match was stopped on last week’s NXT, did end up wrestling at Sacrifice, losing to Masha Slamovich in a match for the TNA Knockouts title. Jade had been spending the last several weeks hyping the bout between her and Slamovich, not only on Impact but also on NXT.

Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend, also of NXT, made a surprise appearance following the Knockouts Tag Team title bout. After Ash & Heather by Elegance won the titles from Spitfire (Dani Luna and Jody Threat), the Meta-Girls made their entrance on stage, staring down the new champions.

The main event of Sacrifice was a 10-man tag team steel cage match that saw Nic Nemeth, Matt Hardy, Joe Hendry, Elijah, and Leon Slater defeat The System (JDC, Brian Meyers, and Eddie Edwards) and The Colons. After the match, the show was wrapping up when all of a sudden Nemeth turned on Matt, with Nemeth’s brother Ryan coming in and closing the cage door, preventing the rest of the team from making the save. The two brothers then attacked Matt, bloodying him up to close out the show.

WWE Women’s Tag Team title match added to NXT Atlanta event

A date has been set for the next Women’s Tag Team title match.

Bianca Belair & Naomi will defend the titles against Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend in two weeks, when NXT holds a televised event at Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia on January 28. The two were successful in defending the Women’s Tag Team titles on Friday, defeating Nia Jax & Candice LeRae on SmackDown.

Legend & Jackson became the number one contenders on Tuesday’s NXT, defeating the Raw team of Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre, the Unholy Union. The two teams had been feuding in recent weeks leading to the number one contender’s match.

Naomi replaced Jade Cargill as Bianca’s teammate after Cargill was put through a windshield in November. The two noted backstage before their match that there were still no leads as to who actually took out Cargill.

Here is the updated lineup for WWE NXT at Center Stage:

  • NXT Women’s North American Champion Fallon Henley defends against Shotzi
  • WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair & Naomi defend against Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson

New WWE Women’s Tag Team title number one contenders crowned

Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson are the new number one contenders to the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

The Meta Girls (Legend and Jackson) defeated Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn) on this week’s WWE NXT in a number one contender’s match to earn the next shot at the Women’s Tag Team titles, currently held by Bianca Belair and Naomi.

Belair and Jade Cargill originally won the Tag titles at Bash in Berlin last August. Naomi was named the replacement for Cargill on the December 20 WWE SmackDown episode after an angle where Cargill was shown laid out on the hood of a car, implicating a mystery attacker. That storyline thread has yet to be tied up.

Tuesday’s WWE NXT also set up two title bouts for next week’s show, with Oba Femi defending the NXT title against Eddy Thorpe, plus Tony D’Angelo defending the North American title against Ridge Holland.

Another title match was also made official for the January 28 episode, with Fallon Henley defending the Women’s North American Championship against Shotzi. Henley interfered in a number one contender’s match between Shotzi and Stephanie Vaquer this week, allowing Shotzi to score the victory.

Giulia & Stephanie Vaquer vs. Meta-Four added to WWE NXT

A new match has been added to Tuesday’s NXT.

It was announced on social media that Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia will team together to take on Meta-Four’s Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend.

Vaquer and Giulia took part in the main event of last week’s program where they, Jordynne Grace, Zaria, and Kelani Jordan defeated Fatal Influence, Cora Jade, and Roxanne Perez. Towards the end of the match, Jackson and Legend attempted to interfere at ringside but were taken out by Giulia and Vaquer.

Jackson & Legend had been making appearances on the main roster in recent weeks which led to them being part of a four-way Women’s Tag Team title match at Crown Jewel, where they failed to win the titles.

The announced card for the Tuesday, November 12 WWE NXT:

  • NXT Women’s North American Champion Fallon Henley defends against Kelani Jordan
  • Iron Survivor Challenge qualifier: Wes Lee vs. Cedric Alexander
  • Iron Survivor Challenge qualifier: Cora Jade vs. Sol Ruca
  • Stephanie Vaquer & Giulia vs. Meta-Four (Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend)
  • Nikkita Lyons vs. Adriana Rizzo
  • Ava decides the next challengers to Nathan Frazer & Axiom’s NXT Tag Team titles

Jakara Jackson out of WWE NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament

Jakara Jackson is out of the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament.

On Monday afternoon, NXT’s account on X announced that Jackson was out of the tournament due to not being medically cleared. Brinley Reece, a newcomer to NXT TV, will replace her in the tournament.

“BREAKING: @JakaraWWE has not been medically cleared and will be withdrawing from the #WWENXT Women’s Breakout Tournament,” NXT’s account on X wrote. “@brinleyreecewwe will be taking her place.”

Reece responded to the news on X, writing “I’m ready to show the world what Brinley Reece is all about.”

Reece, real name Breanna Ruggiero, was signed at a tryout held during last year’s SummerSlam. She has a background in tumbling and acrobatics and comes from Sacramento State University.

Jackson, who is part of the Meta-Four stable with Noam Dar, Oro Mensah, and Lash Legend, was slated to face Arianna Grace in an opening round match. The winner between Reece and Grace will advance to the semifinals, where they will face Kelani Jordan.

Jakara Jackson to debut on WWE NXT Level Up

Jakara Jackson is set to make her WWE television debut on this week’s NXT Level Up against Thea Hail.

Jackson, real name Jamara Garrett, was part of the SummerSlam weekend tryouts in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2021. Jackson suffered a concussion during the in-ring portion of her tryout, but was later offered a WWE contract by Paul “Triple H” Levesque.

Prior to her WWE tryout, Jackson was a contestant on NBC’s Titan Games, hosted by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. She detailed her journey to WWE in a video posted to Dr. Beau Hightower’s YouTube channel.

Jackson had her first WWE match on August 5 this year at an NXT house show in Florida, teaming with Lash Legend against NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Katana Chance and Kayden Carter.

NXT Level Up airs on Peacock and WWE Network at 10 p.m. Eastern time on Fridays. Here is the full lineup for this week’s episode:

  • Trick Williams vs. Brooks Jensen
  • Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo vs. Tank Ledger
  • Thea Hail vs. Jakara Jackson

Tag team match announced for WWE NXT

A women’s tag team match has been made official for this week’s edition of NXT.

NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Katana Chance & Kayden Carter will be in action as they face Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley on NXT this Tuesday night. It appears that Chance & Carter vs. Nile & Paxley will be a non-title match.

Earlier this month, Chance & Carter became NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions by winning a fatal four-way elimination match. Nile & Paxley, Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne, and Yulisa Leon & Valentina Feroz were the other teams in the match.

The NXT Women’s Tag Team titles were vacant going into that four-way match following the breakup of Roxanne Perez & Cora Jade’s team.

There was a backstage segment on NXT last week where Chance & Carter said they’re ready for any challenge:

Tuesday’s NXT will feature the final build to Worlds Collide, which takes place this Sunday (September 4).

Here’s the updated lineup for the episode:

WWE NXT (Tuesday, August 30) —

  • Apollo Crews vs. Grayson Waller
  • Josh Briggs, Brooks Jensen & Fallon Henley vs. Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) & Lash Legend
  • Diamond Mine (Brutus Creed, Julius Creed & Damon Kemp) vs. Gallus (Mark Coffey, Joe Coffey & Wolfgang)
  • Katana Chance & Kayden Carter vs. Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley
