Bayley praises Chad Gable following AAA Noche de Los Grandes

Bayley was happy to see her friend Chad Gable get a chance to shine at AAA Noche de Los Grandes.

In a career highlight, Gable (as Original El Grande Americano) headlined the May 30 event in a mask vs. mask match against Ludwig Kaiser (El Grande Americano). Gable lost and is now forced to give up the Americano gimmick — but Bayley is confident that only great things are in his future. She was in Mexico for the show and made an Instagram post joining in on the chorus of praise for the main event.

“It’s not everyday that you get to watch your friend create magic in front of the most pure and passionate fans in the world!!,” Bayley wrote. “I’m so proud to know you, @wwegable! You take control of your opportunities and have always made everything count. It’s only up from here my dude!!”

Bayley and Gable came up together in the same era of NXT and have both now been with the company for more than a decade. When part two of Noche de Los Grandes airs this coming Saturday (June 6), a six-woman tag match with Bayley, Lola Vice & La Catalina vs. Flammer, Maravilla & La Hiedra will be part of the lineup.

Chad Gable comments on Noche de Los Grandes match —

It’s been less than two days since the match, but Gable took a moment to make his own Instagram post reflecting on the moment and how much the crowd meant to him.

“What an atmosphere. What a crowd. What a moment,” he wrote. “Thank you Mexico.”

Gable also shared an Instagram stories post from Finn Balor, who called the mask vs. mask match a “masterpiece” and said he’s already watched it multiple times.

“So good I already had to watch it twice,” Balor wrote. “I encourage you also. Masterpiece.”

Four WWE tag teams that could reinvigorate their divisions | Opinion

WWE has reportedly been discussing an overhaul of the tag team division following recent talent cuts, seemingly intensified after the departures of the Motor City Machine Guns and the New Day, two instrumental tag teams in the last decade+.

Their exits, particularly Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, left noticeable gaps in star power in the tag team division.

WWE already has several potential tag teams in place that could help re-shape both the men’s and women’s tag divisions. Let’s take a look.

Lainey Reid & Fallon Henley

Fatal Influence made a statement debut on the April 24 edition of WWE SmackDown. Led by Jacy Jayne, the stable attacked during Brie Bella and Paige’s Women’s Tag Team Title defense against Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair.

Jayne confronted Rhea Ripley later that same night and they squared off in an impromptu singles match. Her extensive time on the NXT roster has familiarized her with fans. Meanwhile, Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley’s pairing has the potential to take over the division as their presentation and chemistry as a team could evolve to strengthen themselves as challengers for tag team gold.

Additionally, it would prove beneficial especially at a time when the division is in need of newer, long-term teams beyond temporary and outdated pairings.

Rey Mysterio & Rey Fenix

While not an official tag team, Mysterio and Fenix’s union has proven to be entertaining and charismatic in previous matches. The two share and complement each other’s wrestling styles.

Following Mysterio’s injury earlier this year, he participated in the ladder match at WrestleMania for the Intercontinental Title. Despite still showcasing in-ring agility that defined his early years, the new AAA general manager could benefit from a tag team alliance with Fenix.

Fenix recently teased the pursuit of the Intercontinental Championship, currently held by his brother Penta. He remains a fan favorite, but has yet to win a title in the company. WWE could utilize the tag team momentum to give him his first championship win. Simultaneously teaming up with someone of Mysterio’s stature would permit the veteran to take fewer bumps and still continue a prominent on-screen presence.

The Creed Brothers

Brutus and Julian Creed were dominant and athletically impressive on NXT. They joined the Raw roster in 2023 and shortly after, won a tag team turmoil match to contend for the undisputed Tag Team Titles.

Barely a year later, they joined forces with Chad Gable but ultimately lost their identity as a tag team. Earlier this month, they were introduced as Bruto Credo and Julio Credo (Los Americanos Hermanos), joining the Original El Grande Americano in his battle against Los Americanos.

If the main roster audience is introduced to their former versions portrayed on NXT, they have potential to establish themselves as one of WWE’s finest tag teams. Their combination of amateur wrestling with intense in-ring athleticism already has sturdy credibility already built in.

Bayley & Lyra Valkyria

Bayley’s hard fought battle to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles has not been fruitful for more than a year now. Becky Lynch replaced her to team up with Lyra Valkyria at WrestleMania 41 to win the championship.

This year, Bayley and Valkyria competed in a fatal four-way match for the titles again, but came up short. Despite the losses, the pairing has showcased a balanced chemistry with Bayley’s veteran leadership and Valkyria’s rising star momentum.

Bayley’s influence on women’s wrestling has extended beyond WWE, particularly through the Lodestone Wrestling Seminars.

WWE has lacked consistent tag teams in the women’s division. Most have stemmed from mutual convenience or short-term storylines, case in point, Paige’s return to replace Nikki Bella.

NXT star teases rivalry with Bayley after WWE attack

Bayley demanded revenge against Zaria after the attack at a recent NXT event.

At an NXT live event this week, Zaria targeted Bayley in an ambush and proceeded to attack her with a steel chair. Bayley later reacted by calling out Shawn Michaels to take action.

Zaria showed no remorse and tweeted that she had no problem doing it again.

Bayley has been open to working with talents across brands. She also teased a crossover feud with Indi Hartwell on TNA, and against Tatum Paxley for the John Cena Classic. She is also focused on winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles with Lyra Valkyria.

Meanwhile, Zaria has taken over a commanding presence on NXT after her feud with Sol Ruca in a Last Woman Standing match. Following her move to Raw, Zaria set her sights on the NXT Women’s North American Champion.

The expansion of talents across brands enables a branding for this rivalry. Zaria has officially competed on the main roster as a tag team with Ruca last year but not as a singles competitor.

Lyra Valkyria eager to explore AAA’s wrestling style

Lyra Valkyria is eager to crossover and compete on AAA just like Bayley. She further discussed interest in the John Cena Classic and already has a dream opponent set.

In an interview with Soundsphere, Valkyria expressed interest to participate in the John Cena Classic and indicated at potentially squaring off against Kelani Jordan.

“Especially with all the talent, like you just said in NXT, you know, I feel like it just could be anyone’s chance to really make themselves the next big thing. So I’m really excited for this tournament, and to see who’s going to, like, stand out, and who’s going to step up.”

“I crossed over with time in NXT with Kelani Jordan… we never, we never crossed paths in the ring on NXT, but we got in the ring a lot together in the Performance Center.I’ve always thought she had such a fantastic work ethic, and she’s very cool… I want to see if she stepped up. I’d love to see what she’s got, if I was able to choose anyone.”

Valkyria further cited interest to compete in Lucha Libre AAA. She defined it as an entirely different experience and a new element to wrestling which she would like to be a part of.

“I’ve never been to Mexico, so I feel like, oh, it’s a whole new world. The style over there… it’s such a huge element of wrestling that I haven’t even touched.”

John Cena announced the special event for new and established WWE talent at Backlash.

Meanwhile, Valkyria and Bayley have been pursuing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. Bayley made her AAA debut in March in response to Flammer’s open challenge for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship.

Multiple WWE stars added to the AAA Noches de Los Grandes match card

A few matches consisting of multiple WWE superstars have now been added to the AAA Noches de Los Grandes match card.

Last week, after tension escalated between Pagano and Psycho Clown, The War Raiders (Erick & Ivar) appeared on stage and attacked the AAA World Tag Team Champions. However, with it still being unclear who attacked the rest of the clowns, Pagano and Psycho Clown will now team up despite their differences to defend their AAA World Tag Team titles against The War Raiders on May 30, 2026, at AAA Noches de Los Grandes.

Similarly, last week, after La Catalina’s debut win over Jessy Jackson, she was attacked by members of Las Toxicas. However, with the numbers advantage taking over, the debutant was saved by WWE NXT Women’s Champion Lola Vice and WWE veteran Bayley. The trio teamed up to fend off the villainous trio of Lady Flammer, Maravilla & La Hiedra.

A week later, on May 16, 2026, episode of AAA on Fox, it was announced that Bayley, Catalina, and Vice will now take on Flammer, Maravilla, & La Hiedra in a six-woman tag-team match at Noches de Los Grandes.

AAA Noches de Los Grandes updated match card

AAA Noches de Los Grandes is set to take place on May 30, 2026, at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico. Here is the updated match card:

  • El Grande Americano vs. Original El Grande Americano in a mask vs. mask match
  • El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. (c) vs. El Hijo del Vikingo for the AAA Latin American Championship
  • Pagano & Psycho Clown (c) vs. War Raiders (Ivar & Erik) for the AAA World Tag Team Championship
  • Bayley, Lola Vice & La Catalina vs. Las Toxicas (Flammer, Maravilla & La Hiedra)

  • May 15 in Buffalo, New York

Where the three currently stand in WWE

Penta is the current Intercontinental Champion and has been appearing on Raw following WrestleMania, feuding with new NXT callup Ethan Page. The two will meet at the next Saturday Night’s Main Event later this month.

Since WrestleMania, Bayley has mainly kept a low profile on main roster television. She made an appearance this past weekend on AAA’s television, helping La Catalina and Lola Vice against Las Toxicas. She was one of NXT’s biggest stars during her run on the brand.

Grayson Waller has been directionless since it was announced earlier this month that The New Day had departed WWE. Prior to their release, Waller had been teasing dissension with the group, annoyed that Kofi had been talking to Je’Von Evans in what looked like a mentor role.

Bayley teases match with WWE NXT name for The John Cena Classic

At Backlash, John Cena announced The John Cena Classic – a new event and championship to launch the next big star in WWE basis fan votes.

A fan posted on X showcasing interest in voting for Bayley vs. Tatum Paxley. Bayley tagged and called out Paxley in the post thread whether she was ready for a match. Paxley responded that she was.

Paxley is the NXT Women’s North American Champion. She signed with WWE in 2021 and has been actively competing on the NXT brand. Last year she defeated Jacy Jayne to win the Women’s Championship despite being for a short reign of 24 days.

Bayley’s eagerness to foster and mentor talents has been evident in WWE and beyond. She hosted a couple of Lodestone Wrestling Seminars to give back to the industry and uplift the next generation of talents.

Last year, she teamed up with Lyra Valkyria and competed for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. They participated in the fatal four-way tag team bout at WrestleMania 42 for the titles eventually won by Brie Bella and Paige.

Bayley returned to AAA last weekend and assisted Lola Vice and La Catalina from Las Toxicas’ ambush.

Dakota Kai reveals Bayley’s original pitch for an all-women’s faction in WWE

Dakota Kai revisited her WWE return at SummerSlam 2022 citing how Bayley pushed for her return as a part of an all-women’s faction. She also revealed two other names originally considered but ultimately were not a part of the group.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on the latest Insight Podcast episode, Kai discussed her WWE return, forming Damage CTRL with Bayley and IYO SKY. Bayley called and informed her about the pitch she made to Triple H about the women’s only faction. Kai was uncertain given how it was during her first release from the company.

“That whole thing came out of the blue. It was probably two days before SummerSlam, and Pam, Bayley, just texts me out of the blue. She’s like, ‘Hey, I just pitched this to Hunter.’ I’m like, ‘What are you talking about?’ So she was talking about an all-women’s faction for years, like, since I was starting at NXT, she’d always been pitching this idea of, ‘I want an all-women’s faction. Think this would be so cool. I hope we get the chance.’”

Kai revealed that a year before that SummerSlam, Bayley was pushing for the same pitch including Raquel Rodriguez and Alba Fyre in the fold.

“And then the year before SummerSlam, we actually were at the Performance Center. It was me, IYO Bayley, and also Raquel and Alba Fyre, and we were taking photos together as a female unit to try and have Pam basically pitch to Hunter and be like, ‘Hey, this is what I want.’”

“Nothing really came from that. But then she texts me a few days before SummerSlam, ‘I pitched it again, I really want you to be a part of this.’ And even at that point, I’m not with the company. I’m like, ‘Yeah, right, dude. You really think this is gonna happen?’ And then next thing (it happened).”

In May last year, Kai was released from WWE ending her three-year run stint. She stepped away from wrestling for a while before making her in-ring return in December, using the ring name Charlie. Kai competed at Wrestle Queendom VIII taking on Kris Statlander for the Pro-Wrestling: EVE International Championship.

Bayley shares trailer of second Lodestone Women’s Wrestling Seminar

Bayley shared a trailer of the second Lodestone Women’s Wrestling Seminar she hosted on April 16.

Following the success of the inaugural seminar in December 2025, Bayley brought back the initiative ahead of WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas. It once again created a platform for experienced wrestlers to refine their crafts and in-ring skills. Bayley shared a trailer of the latest Lodestone Wrestling Seminar stating that a mini-documentary is in the works and set for release soon, offering a behind-the-scenes look at training and mentorship involved.

Bayley announced the second edition of the seminar in February this year inviting experienced wrestlers to participate regardless of their level of training. Becky Lynch, Lyra Valkyria, Seth Rollins, CM Punk and Rey Mysterio were a part of the seminar training future talents.

The first Lodestone seminar headed by Bayley took place over the course of three days in Orlando, Florida. And she did not charge a fee for the seminar.

Meanwhile, in WWE, Bayley and Valkyria competed in the fatal four-way match at WrestleMania for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. The match was eventually won by Brie Bella and Paige replacing Nikki Bella after her ankle injury.

CM Punk, Rey Mysterio among names who stop by Bayley’s Lodestone seminar

Several wrestlers have posted to social media about attending Bayley’s Lodestone Women’s Wrestling Seminar.

The seminar took place on Thursday, April 16 in Las Vegas. It was the second camp Bayley has run, with the first having taken place in Orlando last December.

Among those who confirmed they attended the camp was Charli Evans, who also wrestled at Podermania on Wednesday night. Evans also wrestled at the ROH tapings when AEW went to Australia in February.

Brittnie Brooks also posted that she was at Lodestone. The 21-year-old wrestles for Future Stars of Wrestling in Las Vegas and has also wrestled for DEFY and Limitless. She was defeated by Thekla on an episode of Collision in February.

Harleen Lopez, who wrestled at a set of ROH tapings last month, also attended the camp.

According to social media posts from attendees, CM Punk, Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, Lyra Valkyria, and Rey Mysterio all dropped in on the camp.

Social media posts from Bayley’s Lodestone camp in Las Vegas are below.

Charlotte Flair names the Four Horsewomen as her Mount Rushmore

Charlotte Flair considers WWE’s Four Horsewomen her Mount Rushmore of wrestlers.

Flair was part of the group during her NXT tenure. On Episode 4 of the Complex Graps Wrestling Podcast, Flair cited that without the Four Horsewomen she would not have the same passion for wrestling. They inspired each other to level up their game in the ring.

“I always say the Four Horsewomen just because they’re who and why I fell in love with wrestling. Not that I didn’t respect or love or look up to the women before me, had I not, we all have kind of gone our separate paths, but had I not been with that core when I started, I don’t know where I’d be today. They’re the reason why I fell in love with wrestling, got good at wrestling, and we all took it to the next level together. So, that’s my four.”

The Four Horsewomen of NXT comprised of Flair, Bayley, Becky Lynch and Mercedes Mone (fka Sasha Banks in WWE). Their time on NXT led to the evolution of the women’s division on the main roster by 2015.

Flair talked about the rushed tag team with Alexa Bliss on SmackDown last year. She cited the transition from a singles competitor to a tag team did not budge her stance on wrestling.

“It’s not that I never thought it would be successful, but I mean I like wrestling. I like being in there. I like being in there the whole time and I like being able, you know, to dance with my opponent. So, in any tag team situation that I’ve been in since I started, not that it hasn’t gelled, but it hasn’t been like I maybe, I mean it didn’t have the chemistry or it wasn’t given the time to get the chemistry or whatever that looks like. But with Lexi, it just seems like one of those, you know, the best things are the ones that you don’t plan. And this wasn’t planned and it was out of nowhere. So, I think that’s why it’s doing so well.”

Flair and Bliss’unlikely pairing happened last year despite their contrasting personalities. The duo won the Women’s Tag Team Titles at SummerSlam 2025. However, this was not Flair’s first time winning tag team gold. In 2020, she won the title with Asuka.

Barring Mone, who is signed to AEW, the other three ‘horsewomen’ remaining in WWE are vying for gold this WrestleMania.

Bliss & Flair and Bayley’s tag team with Lyra Valkyria are headed for a potential tag team bout. Meanwhile, Lynch’s mindgames were successful to get AJ Lee to issue a rematch for the Women’s Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 42.
