The Young Bucks reunite with Kenny Omega at AEW Full Gear

The Elite have reunited.

After weeks of debating whether or not to join the Don Callis Family, Matt and Nick Jackson finally rejected Don Callis’ offer on Saturday, choosing instead to lay out Don Callis’ family and reunite with Kenny Omega after a long period of estrangement.

The Young Bucks and Josh Alexander emerged victorious on Saturday at Full Gear, defeating Jurassic Express and Kenny Omega in a 1 million dollar trios match. After winning, Callis arrived and handed bags of money to the Bucks, walking them away as the rest of the family targeted Jurassic Express and Omega. When the Young Bucks saw what was going on at the entrance ramp, they debated for a moment before abandoning the money and making the save for their former friends.

Once the dust was cleared, Jurassic Express accepted The Young Bucks’ help. Omega made it to his feet but didn’t know how to react when Matt and Nick extended their hands. Omega swatted their hands away, instead choosing to embrace them as the three hugged, officially reuniting.

Since losing their EVP status at All In, The Young Bucks have struggled for money and became the joke of the locker room that they previously tormented. The one person who had their back was Don Callis, who paid for their elaborate entrances with the impression that they would be joining his family.

FTR win Tag Team titles at AEW Full Gear

New AEW Tag Team Champions have been crowned.

FTR are now three-time AEW Tag Team Champions, defeating Brodido at Saturday’s Full Gear event. In a wild back and forth match, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler managed to isolate Bandido after hitting Brody King with a piledriver on the apron. Bandido attempted to fight back, but eventually found himself outnumbered and accepted his fate as he took the shatter machine, giving FTR the win and tying with the Young Bucks for most AEW Tag Team title reigns.

In the weeks leading to Full Gear, FTR and Stokely Hathaway had focused on Bandido and his family, insulting his grandmother and Bandido’s brother Gravity during shows. At one point, FTR attacked Gravity while the champions were stuck in a locked room, with Stokely guarding. Eventually Brody King burst through the door and managed to escape.

Brodido had held the titles for 90 days, originally winning them from The Hurt Syndicate in a three-way match at Forbidden Door that also involved FTR. During their time as champions, they defended against the likes of Kazuchika Okada & Konosuke Takeshita and also defended the titles in CMLL. Bandido remains the ROH World Champion.

Sting’s son Steven Borden competes in first-ever singles match

Steven Borden has won his first-ever singles match.

The son of the legendary WWE Hall of Famer and AEW star made his singles debut for Defy on Friday night at Washington Hall defeating Kieran Gray, a fellow Darby Allin trainee. After the match, fans chanted ‘please come back.’

Borden wrestled his debut match back in October, teaming with JD Drake to take on Darby Allin and Killer Kross. That was part of a New York City art exhibition featuring artists Raymond Pettibon and Charlie Ramone.

In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, Allin seemed high on Borden when asked how far he could go in pro wrestling.

“As far as he wants to take it — as far as he wants to take it,” Allin responded.

Borden was part of Sting’s retirement match back at AEW Revolution 2024 dressed as Sting’s Wolfpac persona while his brother Garrett appeared as his dad’s Surfer Sting persona. In his final match, Sting would go on to team with Allin to defeat The Young Bucks, retaining the AEW Tag Team titles that would ultimately become vacant.

Teams finalized for women’s WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series

The teams for the women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series have now been finalized.

After the end of SmackDown, it was revealed that AJ Lee would join with the likes of Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, and IYO SKY at WWE’s next PLE on November 29. But the final moments of the show also had Becky Lynch join forces with the Kabuki Warriors, Lash Legend, and Nia Jax, solidifying their team.

In the main event segment, Ripley’s team came out for a face-to-face and revealed their fifth member: AJ Lee, who came down to the ring. However, the distraction allowed Asuka and her team to attack Ripley’s team from behind. As Lee entered ringside to make the save, she was suddenly blindsided by Becky Lynch. The final moments of the show had Becky Lynch and the rest of the heels standing tall, with Lynch shaking hands with Asuka.

On Raw, it was Lee’s distraction that helped Maxxine Dupri pin Lynch to win the Women’s Intercontinental title. Backstage, Lee talked about Dupri’s win when Ripley came in and asked if they could talk.

Quarterfinals set for WWE Last Time Is Now tournament, bracket revealed

Following WWE SmackDown, the quarterfinals for The Last Time Is Now tournament are now set.

Two more men advanced from the opening round on Friday when Carmelo Hayes and Penta won their respective matches. Hayes was the first to advance on Friday, defeating Bronson Reed by countout. Cody Rhodes, who was battered earlier in the night by The Vision ahead of their War Games match at Survivor Series, came out and jumped Reed, pushing him into the steel post. After Rhodes laid him out further with the crossroads, Reed was unable to make it to the ring before the ten count giving Hayes the victory.

In the second opening round match, Penta defeated Finn Balor after hitting the Mexican destroyer.

After their wins, WWE then revealed the brackets for the remaining matches of the tournament. On one side, Jey Uso will take on Rusev with the winner meeting the winner between LA Knight and a mystery opponent after Sheamus was pulled from the tournament due to a shoulder injury. On the other side, Penta will face Finn Balor with the winner facing either Solo Sikoa or Carmelo Hayes.

The winner of the tournament will face John Cena in his last-ever match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 in Washington, D.C..

Kenny Omega on Andrade contract situation: ‘I think everything will be alright’

Kenny Omega thinks the situation with Andrade will eventually work itself out.

Talking to SHAK Wrestling, Omega addressed the situation with the former WWE star. He said that while Andrade has been sidelined for now, he thinks the situation will eventually work itself out.

“To see him back in AEW was a happy moment for me because I felt he really wanted to be there and do well,” he said. “So now that he’s been sidelined for a little bit, I can imagine that when he comes back, he’ll still have that same amount of motivation, I think everything will be alright. And of course when things happen injury or otherwise, you have to pivot. The show must go on. It’s just the way it is. It’s the nature of the beast that is professional wrestling.”

Andrade made a shock return to AEW back on the October 1 edition of Dynamite, attacking Omega and siding with the Don Callis Family. However, he vanished from television soon after due to WWE enforcing a one year no compete clause after being fired from the company for cause.

In an interview this past week with Ariel Helwani, Tony Khan didn’t go into detail regarding Andrade’s situation, but hoped to work with him again whenever he is free from his contract.

Jacy Jayne wins Women’s Championship at WWE NXT Gold Rush

Jacy Jayne is once again NXT Women’s Champion.

Jayne regained the title Tuesday thanks to help from The Culling, who turned their back on Paxley. The end of the match saw Izzi Dame attempt to help Paxley by introducing a chair and later the NXT Women’s title into the match. Both times, Paxley refused to cheat in order to retain her title. After Jayne kicked out of a rollup, Paxley was sent to the floor.

When Paxley tried to get back into the ring, Shawn Spears and Niko Vance blocked her path. That was when Dame blindsided Paxley with a boot and threw her back in the ring. Jayne quickly took the opportunity to strike Paxley with the rolling encore to become a two-time NXT Women’s Champion.

The Culling had taken Paxley under their wing earlier this year after she was despondent over having no friend. During their association, situations repeatedly came up where it was questioned if The Culling had truly accepted Paxley or if they were just using her for their own gain.

Paxley held the title for only 23 days, defeating Jayne back at Halloween Havoc on October 25.

NXT Championship match confirmed for Deadline

A match for the NXT Championship is now set for Deadline.

Oba Femi will challenge Ricky Saints for the NXT Championship on December 6 in San Antonio, Texas. As Saints was set to deliver a promo on Tuesday, Femi immediately cut him off and the two had a war of words, with Femi saying he took time off to go to the motherland and become the version of himself that will beat Saints at Deadline. The two agreed to the title match for next month.

Suddenly, Trick Williams arrived and said he wasn’t done with Saints and wouldn’t be until he is NXT Champion once again. However, he was then jumped from behind by Myles Borne, retaliation for Williams’ attack the week prior. Borne told the two that he would win the men’s Iron Survivor Challenge and see them at New Year’s Evil.

Femi had been NXT Champion for most of the year, winning it at New Year’s Evil. However, Saints ended his nine-month reign at No Mercy. After Saints stood tall over Williams in their Last Man Standing match on last week’s NXT, Femi returned, making it clear he was aiming for the title once again.

NXT Deadline (December 6):

  • NXT Championship: Ricky Saints defends against Oba Femi
  • Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge: participants TBA
  • Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge: participants TBA

Two title matches added to WWE Survivor Series WarGames

Two new title matches are set for Survivor Series.

The open of Monday’s Raw saw new Intercontinental Champion John Cena come out for a promo but was immediately interrupted by former champion Dominik Mysterio, who was unhappy about his loss the previous week. He threw out the challenge for a rematch on his home turf: Survivor Series in San Diego. Cena agreed to the match, setting the stage for what will be his final premium live event match.

After some more back and forth, Cena wrestled his final match on Raw. He teamed with Sheamus and Rey Mysterio to defeat Dominik, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh, scoring the win for his team with the AA.

Stephanie Vaquer will defend the Women’s World Championship against a newly-heel Nikki Bella, who last week attacked Vaquer from behind after initially making the save for her against Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. As Vaquer made her entrance on Monday, Bella again attacked her from behind. She cut a promo saying she didn’t return to WWE to sit at the sidelines and thanked Vaquer for reminding her who she is.

The updated lineup for Survivor Series:

WWE Survivor Series: WarGames (November 29)

  • Men’s WarGames match: CM Punk, Jey Uso, and Cody Rhodes vs. Logan Paul, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed

John Cena very likely to be WWE Hall of Fame 2026 headliner

A potential headliner for next year’s WWE Hall of Fame.

John Cena is currently winding down his career, with his final match set for Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13. Bryan Alvarez is reporting that the next stop for the 17 time World Champion is none other than the WWE Hall of Fame.

“Belief is Cena very likely the 2026 Hall of Fame main eventer,” he writes.

Cena wrestled his final WWE Raw match on Monday, teaming with Sheamus and Rey Mysterio to defeat the Judgment Day’s Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, and Dominik Mysterio. Earlier in the night, an upset Mysterio cut off Cena’s promo, mad about losing the Intercontinental title. The two agreed to a rematch at Survivor Series on November 29.

Starting his main roster career in 2002, Cena ultimately became one of the biggest stars in the industry, winning his first WWE title in 2005 and remained a headliner through 2017 when he shifted to part-time status in order to focus on his acting career. He was inducted into the Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame in 2012.

Stephanie McMahon was the first inductee announced for next year’s WWE Hall of Fame, which usually takes place WrestleMania weekend.

John Cena wrestles in final WWE Raw appearance

There are no more Raw appearances for John Cena.

In what was his final match on Monday Night Raw, Cena teamed up with Rey Mysterio and Sheamus to defeat The Judgement Day (Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, and Dominik Mysterio) in a six-man tag team match. Cena picked up the win for his team, pinning McDonagh with the AA.

The new Intercontinental Champion opened Raw on Monday but was immediately cut off by Dominik Mysterio, angry at his loss last week. He wanted a rematch on his own turf: Survivor Series in San Diego. Cena agreed to the match, but said he also said he’d wrestle tonight and offered Mysterio a one-on-one match. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh entered and immediately targeted Cena. However, Sheamus and Rey came down for the save, and the impromptu six-man tag started soon after.

Cena is winding down his career as there are now only two more appearances left for him. After the Intercontinental title match at Survivor Series, his final match will take place at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13. He will face the winner of a tournament currently taking place across both Raw and SmackDown.

George Tahinos, a longtime wrestling photographer, has passed away.

Tahinos’ family made the announcement on Facebook Sunday that he had passed away as a result of a “fatal cardiac incident.”

“It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden loss of our dear cousin, George Tahinos, on Sunday, Nov. 9 as the result of a fatal cardiac incident,” they wrote (via Slam Wrestling). “George was predeceased by his parents, George and Pauline. He grew up in Wayne, NJ and was a 1980 graduate of Wayne Valley High School. From an early age, George was an avid collector of sports memorabilia and a skilled photographer, which became his life’s work with the professional wrestling community. In his spare time, he was an enthusiastic New Jersey Devil’s fan and a talented amateur bowler. He was a regular at the Hollywood Bowl in Oakland, NJ, where he served as treasurer of the league.”

Tahinos took photographs across many promotions over the years, including WWE, WCW, and ECW events. He recently shot photos for the likes of Paul Heyman’s Heyman Hustle venture as well as Slam Wrestling.

“Really saddened to hear about the passing of George Tahinos,” Gabe Sapolosky wrote on social media. “Used so many of his pics in ECW programs. If you’ve seen anything with wrestling pictures since the 90s, you’ve seen George’s work. The best. Deepest condolences to his friends and family.”

Pro Wrestling Illustrated also released a statement on Tahinos’ passing: “George Tahinos was a talented photographer with a keen eye and a great work ethic. We were always delighted to include his pictures in our magazines, and we will, above all, miss seeing him at shows all across the tri-state area. Rest well, friend.”

Details regarding a memorial service and a GoFundMe page will be released on Tahinos’ Facebook page as arrangements are finalized.
