New match added to WWE NXT Gold Rush week two

A new match is official for week two of WWE NXT Gold Rush to air next Tuesday, November 25.

Former NXT Champion Trick Williams was attacked by Myles Borne on week one of Gold Rush on Tuesday, setting up a one-on-one match between the two for next week’s episode.

Williams was involved in a promo segment hyping the Iron Survivor Challenge set for NXT Deadline when Borne attacked and promised to win the Iron Survivor Challenge himself.

The new match makes five bouts official for next week’s Gold Rush episode which was taped Tuesday night at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

The updated card:

WWE NXT Gold Rush week two, Tuesday, November 25 —

  • Trick Williams vs. Myles Borne
  • TNA Knockouts World Champion Kelani Jordan defends against Lei Ying Lee and Jordynne Grace in a triple threat
  • WWE Speed Women’s Championship tournament finals: Fallon Henley vs. Zaria

Jacy Jayne wins Women’s Championship at WWE NXT Gold Rush

Jacy Jayne is once again NXT Women’s Champion.

Jayne regained the title Tuesday thanks to help from The Culling, who turned their back on Paxley. The end of the match saw Izzi Dame attempt to help Paxley by introducing a chair and later the NXT Women’s title into the match. Both times, Paxley refused to cheat in order to retain her title. After Jayne kicked out of a rollup, Paxley was sent to the floor.

When Paxley tried to get back into the ring, Shawn Spears and Niko Vance blocked her path. That was when Dame blindsided Paxley with a boot and threw her back in the ring. Jayne quickly took the opportunity to strike Paxley with the rolling encore to become a two-time NXT Women’s Champion.

The Culling had taken Paxley under their wing earlier this year after she was despondent over having no friend. During their association, situations repeatedly came up where it was questioned if The Culling had truly accepted Paxley or if they were just using her for their own gain.

Paxley held the title for only 23 days, defeating Jayne back at Halloween Havoc on October 25.
