Countdown to Battleground

– Myles Borne was interviewed about his NXT Title Match against Oba Femi, as we then had Morant and Roberts discussing Borne’s chances of overcoming the dominant NXT Champion. The subject soon turned to Tony D’Angelo versus Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo.

– Our esteemed hosts talked about Joe Hendry defending the TNA World Championship versus Trick Williams before they tossed to an AJ Styles-narrated video about this match. WWE NXT Battleground 2025

– Vic Joseph’s voice over shots of several NXT stars arriving to the Yuengling Center welcomed us to tonight’s show as we then went to the cold open for the evening. Joseph was joined on commentary by Booker T and Corey Graves.

NXT Women’s North American Championship: Sol Ruca (c) vs. Kelani Jordan

As the bell rang, we got some fast-paced back and forth action between Ruca and Jordan, with flips and skillful dodges a’plenty. Ruca offered a hand to Jordan, who accepted. She then followed that up with a surfboard stance over Jordan’s body. Ruca caught Jordan in an STF momentarily, but the challenger made an escape. Ruca carthweeled over Jordan and hit a superkick afterwards. The stalling suplex from Ruca was followed by a modified moonsault as the two competitors then got into an exchange of pinss.

Jordan wriggled out of an attempted Samoan Drop from Ruca and turned it into a Crucifix Bomb pin attempt, but to no avail. Jordan took advantage by stopping an attempted springboard dive from Ruca to clip her foe. Jordan slammed Ruca with a spinning modified Samoan Drop, but Ruca kicked out again. The single-leg Boston Crab by Jordan managed to keep Ruca grounded, but the Women’s North American Champion made her escape.

On the apron, Ruca leapt up to the top rope and hit an impressive avalanche X-Factor that ended up being a rough landing for her and Jordan. Ruca began to pick up some steam with a running slam, followed by a knee to the face. Jordan scurried to the apron and caught Ruca with a kick as she then dragged her onto the apron. A kick from Jordan sent Ruca to the floor, as the feisty challenger followed up with a diving springboard moonsault.

Jordan tried for a dive from the top rope, but Ruca caught her and then delivered a modified Backstabber with her feet against Jordan’s back. The innovative Women’s North American Champion then soared with an impressive diving moonsault over the top rope. Ruca appeared to be attempting her take on Zaria’s Zone of Destruction, but Jordan countered and then hit her Frog Splash. One, two… not quite. Both Ruca and Jordan found themselves up the top rope as the latter attempted an avalanche Poison Rana, but Ruca landed on her feet. Ruca once again paid tribute to her partner with a Spear, but Jordan just kicked out at two.

Another skirmish on the top turnbuckle led to an avalanche Spanish Fly by Jordan. One, two… Ruca kicked out! Jordan and Ruca traded strikes for a good while until Ruca got the better of her foe. Jordan reversed her fortunes and looked to have Ruca dead to rights for her One of a Kind Moonsault, but Zaria pulled Ruca out of harm’s way. The referee saw this and had Zaria ejected from the match for her troubles.

Ruca headed up to the top rope once more with Jordan down and out and hit a super Sol Snatcher for the one, two, three, and the first successful defense of her Women’s North American Championship.

Sol Ruca def. Kelani Jordan via pinfall to retain the NXT Women’s North American Championship.

A hot opener to kick off the action at Battleground. It’s insane how much chemistry Ruca and Jordan have and I enjoyed this one greatly. The Sol Snatcher continues to be one of my favorite finishing moves in WWE and seeing Ruca find new variaions to hit this move will never stop being impressive.

– NXT General Manager was seen chatting with AAA’s Dalys and Chik Tormenta before we went backstage to Sarah Schreiber interviewing Mike Santana. The TNA star made it clear that he wanted a shot at whoever wins Joe Hendry vs. Trick Williams tonight as Charlie Dempsey interrupted proceedings. Tavion Heights seemed to reach an agreement with Santana for a challenge of some kind for Tuesday’s NXT. During this segment, Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne were seen arguing in the background.

Six-Man Tag Team Match: Hank & Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) & Josh Briggs vs. The Culling (Shawn Spears, Niko Vance, Brooks Jensen)

Briggs didn’t waste any time going after Vance to start off this match. He floored Vance with a huge clothesline before he amde the tag to Ledger. The NXT Tag Champions showed some nice teamwork to leave Vance stunned. As things broke down, the trio of Hank and Tank and Briggs left The Culling rocked with stereo dives to the outside.

Vance took back control with a rough Irish Whip on Walker that sent him crashing hard into the ringpost. This gave The Culling the opportunity to assert their will on Walker, with Vance laying it in on his opponent with repeated stomps. Spears found himself tagged into the match as he continued to work over Walker in the middle of the ring. Spears took too much time to taunt Briggs and Ledger, which allowed Walker to momentarily find some daylight., A back bodydrop by Walker on Jensen allowed him to tag his championship partner into the match.

Ledger was a house of fire as he unleashed his wrath on the Culling with a diving cannonball to the outside on Vance, followed by a shoulder block on Spears in the ring. Hank and Tank dropped Spears with a double superplex, but they got hit with simultaneous splashes from Vance and Jensen. Briggs hit a diving splash on the prone Spears, but found his pin broken up by the other two Culling members.

Jensen caught Ledger with a kick to the face and looked to hit a double team move on Ledger in the form of a double stomp/Dominator combination. One, two… Walker somehow managed to break it up in the nick of time thanks to an apparent mess-up on the referee’s part.

Briggs with the blind tag as Hank and Tank took out Spears with a double shoulder block. Briggs looked to have his former friend dead to rights, but Vance and Izzi Dame provided a distraction and a roll-up from Jensen nearly had the match won, but Briggs kicked out. The NXT Tag Team Champions entered the fray and crushed Jensen with the sandwich, followed by the double team slam to secure the win.

After the match, The Culling tried to attack the victorious trio. Spears ordered Dame to get a chair to finish the assault, but the hand of Yoshiki Inamura stopped Dame from doing so. Inamura then entered the ring to attack The Culling with the chair and turn the tide for his allies. The faces stood tall in the ring in the aftermath of the melee.

Hank Walker, Tank Ledger, and Josh Briggs def. The Culling via pinfall (Ledger pinned Brooks Jensen)

Just a fun six-man tag match and seeing Yoshiki Inamura return was a great moment and a nice surprise for sure. Hank and Tank continue to be impressive in terms of having an explosive offense to get the crowd on their feet.

– As Ethan Page talked about his upcoming North American Championship Match against Ricky Saints on Tuesday’s NXT, Ava interrupted and informed Page that he and Saints would be kicking off the show, with the winner set to defend the North American Championship at Worlds Collide on June 7th.

Tony D’Angelo vs. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo

D’Angelo responded to Stacks talking trash to him at the start of the match with a slap to the face, followed by some hard punches to the face. As Stacks stood on the apron, D’Angelo threw him back into the ring and looked to continue the punishment. Stacks responded with a kick to the gut as he then got his licks in on his former friend. D’Angelo countered Stacks as he threw him over his shoulders and right over the top rope.

At the ringside area, D’Angelo threw Stacks against the LED barricade and then right into the ringpost afterwards. He yelled into Stacks’ ears, “All you had to do was listen to me!” Stacks gained the advantage with a cheapshot, as he then hit D’Angelo with a dropkick that sent The Don’s back against the steel steps. As the action spilled back into the ring, Stacks targeted D’Angelo’s ribs in the corner. He flew right into D’Angelo with a running cannonball, but that got a near-fall.

Stacks wrapped his legs around D’Angelo’s ribs with the body scissors submission hold. D’Angelo fought out of the hold and rocked Stacks with bunches of punches, but got hit in the ribs in the process. Stacks drove his knee to the back of D’Angelo’s head and looked to have the victory. One, two… The Don kicked out just in time. D’Angelo fought back and threw Stacks with an overhead suplex as he then mounted a comeback of his own.

D’Angelo scored a satisfying spinebuster on Stacks as he then threw a series of uppercuts to his betrayer’s ribs. Stacks recovered, but he missed on the knee stomp, which opened him up to a deadlift German suplex from D’Angelo. Stacks managed to kick out at two, however. Stacks caught D’Angelo in a triangle submission, but D’Angelo used his strength to slam him with a powerbomb. D’Angelo battered Stacks with punches to the face until he abruptly stopped the attack, apparently showing some sort of remorse at his actions.

Stacks took advantage of this and sent D’Angelo right against the ringpost back-first. He appeared to have D’Angelo dead to rights with a running knee strike, but D’Angelo dodged out of the way, which caused Stacks to crash into the ringpost instead. D’Angelo hit the Forget-About-It fisherman suplex, but Stacks kicked out at two. Stacks woke up and dropped D’Angelo with a guillotine legdrop across the middle rope.

Stacks tried to look for his crowbar against one of the ringposts, but couldn’t find it. This allowed D’Angelo to take advantage once more iwth some strikes to the face. Stacks tried to beg off, but to now avail. He got dropped with a spinebuster from D’Angelo. Suddenly, Luca Cruisifino appeared at ringside, to D’Angelo’s confusion. This allowed Stacks to go low with a trip to Dick Kick City on D’Angelo. The Underboss put an end to this match with a running Busaiku knee to the back of D’Angelo’s head.

After the match, Cruisifino entered the ring and wanted to embrace D’Angelo, but got pushed aside by the defeated Don.

Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo def. Tony D’Angelo via pinfall

As hard hitting a match as you’ll certainly get. Both men sold the struggle between former friends quite well, in my opinion. Cruisifino’s appearance at the end, his first since apparently being left in the desert by Stacks adds some intrigue to this mafioso storyline on NXT.

NXT Women’s Championship: Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Jordynne Grace

Vaquer and Grace started off with a respectful handshake as the bell rang. We then got a test of strength as neither woman could take a clear advantage to start off. Grace took over with a pair of shoulder blocks, followed by an arm wrench. The two competitors then traded pins, which ended with a stalemate between Grace and Vaquer.

Grace missed with the chop in the corner, which gave Vaquer the opening she needed to gain momentum with a suplex, followed by a back drop. The NXT Women’s Champion looked to have Grace set up for the Devil’s Kiss, but Grace rolled her and Vaquer out of the ring and used her strength to slam Vaquer onto the commentary table. Grace threw Vaquer onto the barricade before she brought her champion foe back into the ring.

The challenger trapped Vaquer in a Boston Crab, but Vaquer reached the ropes in time to break the hold. Grace tried to use her strength to great success as she slammed Vaquer on her back. Grace hit a World’s Strongest Slam, but missed on the subsequent Vader Bomb attempt. As Vaquer headed up top, she caught Grace in a rope-assisted armbar, followed by the springboard crossbody. Vaquer had Grace prone in the corner long enough for the running Meteora. This left Grace stunned long enough for the Devil’s Kiss, much to the delight of the crowd (and Booker T). One, two… not yet.

Grace wanted to get Vaquer in a submission, but the NXT Women’s Champion fought out of it. Grace tanked a strike from Vaquer, as she hit her with a spinebuster, followed by a sitdown package powerbomb. Vaquer kicked out at two as the crowd had justified “this is awesome” chants for this match. Vaquer roared back with a suplex and a DDT on Grace, but that couldn’t put her resilient challenger away for the three. Grace used her power to block an Irish whip attempt from Vaquer, as the action headed to the top turnbuckle.

With Vaquer stunned, Grace hit a superplex/Jackhammer combo in an iimpressive show of strength. One, two, Vaquer kicked out! Vaquer used a bridge attempt to try for the SVB, but Grace fought out of it. A series of wild counters soon followed as Grace looked for Beast Mode to no avail. A kick to the head of Grace by Vaquer allowed the NXT Women’s Champion a moment to create some needed separation. Grace grabbed Vaquer from ringside and wanted to hit a powerful slam on the outside, but she got shoved right into the barricade to break it apart.

Vaquer threw Grace back into the ring and hit the SVB. Is this one over? One, two… Grace kicked out at 2.9999999999! The crowd was left incredulous at this turn of events. Vaquer and Grace, both battle-worn, traded back and forth strikes. In the corner, Vaquer twisted Grace’s leg with the dragon screw as she then headed up top. Grace intercepted her opponent as she and Vaquer jockeyed for position. Grace got sent to the mat, as Vaquer took flight and hit the Spiral Tap to get the three and the successful title defense in amazing fashion.

After the match, Dalys and Chik Tormenta were seein in the front row keeping a close eye on the victorious Vaquer.

Stephanie Vaquer def. Jordynne Grace via pinfall to retain the NXT Women’s Championship

One hell of a title match right here. Vaquer and Grace left it all on the line and it made for what has been the clear match of the evening. Just some solid action from Vaquer and Grace and the crowd was well into the action from start to finish.

Ricky Saints in-ring promo

Sarah Schreiber was in the ring as she introduced NXT North American Champion Ricky Saints for an interview.

Saints talked about how Ethan Page must be obsessed with him and that he was tired of Page getting into his business. Which meant, that if he had to start NXT on Tuesday to end this business with Page, then so be it. As the subject turned to the North American Title defense at Worlds Collide, Ethan Page himself tried to sneak in for the attack, but Saints met him at the pass to foil the ambush. Security officials stood in to keep Page separate from Saints. This prompted the North American Champion to take off from the top rope and fly right onto Page and the security corps.

NXT Championship: Oba Femi (c) vs. Myles Borne

Borne and Femi with the test of strength to start off as the challenger avoided Femi’s offense, culminating with Borne landing on his feet as Femi attempted to throw him high. Borne seemed to have Femi flatfooted with a dropkick, which prompted the NXT Champion to respond with a rageful shoulder block. Femi sent Borne into the corner and thrusted his shoulder onto his opponent’s ribs, but Borne refused to back down.

Borne soared from the top rope with a crossbody, but Femi responded by throwing his foe across the top rope. Femi slowed down the pace to his advantage with a suplex, as he began to go to work on Borne. Femi went after the back of Borne with clubbing blows as the fans were split on who they wanted to see to come out on top of this contest. Femi seemed to relish in punishing Borne as the assault continued, but the challenger created some much-needed separation with a dropkick to the face of Femi.

The comeback for Borne was all too fleeting as Femi once again made a target out of his back with a backbreaker. Femi nearly took Borne’s head off with a vicious clothesline. Borne refused to go down as he mounted on Femi’s back and applied the sleeper hold. Femi managed to escape by ramming Borne’s back against the turnbuckle.

Femi wanted to hit a suplex from the apron, but Borne blocked and hit the third dropkick of the match. The NXT Champion stopped a planned dive by Borne with a punch, as he followed that up with the double knees to the gut of Borne. One, two, not yet. Femi applied a championship chinlock on Borne, but he couldn’t hold it for long. Femi’s attempt at a shoulder charge was missed when Borne dodged at the last second, which sent Femi crashing into the ring post. This gave Borne the opportunity to finally take advantage with a dive to Femi outside the ring.

Diving crossbody by Borne to Femi wasn’t enough to end things just yet. Femi got sent to the turnbuckle as Borne hit a Randy Orton-style powerslam for another near-fall. Borne missed with the moonsault, but he countered Femi. Another set of counters allowed for Femi to catch Borne with the chokeslam. One, two… Borne kicked out!

Borne stunned Femi with the DDT in the middle of the ring, but he couldn’t connect with the splash. Femi’s attempt at Fall From Grace was countered into a pin by Borne, but that wasn’t the finish just yet. Borne delivered a powerful German suplex on Femi as he took flight from the top rope with the diving splash. One… two… Femi just kicked out at the last possible second. Blow for blow, Femi and Borne traded strikes as the challenger struck Femi with a dropkick. Roaring uppercut by Femi was followed by the Fall From Grace. One, two… 2.99999! An angered Femi tried to rock Borne with repeated uppercuts, but found himself in a roll-up attempt that he kicked out of.

Femi threw Borne like a sack of potatoes, followed by consecutive Fall From Grace powerbombs to leave no doubt in this hard-fought title defense.

After the match, Femi appeared to show respect to Borne’s efforts as he gave him a nod of approval before he walked off.

Oba Femi def. Myles Borne via pinfall to retain the NXT Championship

Certainly an intensely fought championship match that got only more intense as things picked up and they really did a great job in making you believe that Borne would somehow score a miracle victory. Borne showed that he could really go and he was the standout of this one, even in defeat. Don’t sleep on this match. I liked it a lot.

– We went backstage as we saw Stephanie Vaquer arguing with Dalys and Chik Tormenta, as we once again got a peek at Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley yelling at one another in the background. This eventually spilled into Jayne slapping Vaquer in the face, which only caused things to become more chaotic.

This Week on NXT (5/27/25)

  • NXT North American Championship: Ricky Saints (c) vs. Ethan Page
  • LFG Season 1 winner Jasper Troy’s in-ring debut
  • Tatum Paxley vs. Jaida Parker
  • TNA’s Mike Santana vs. Tavion Heights

TNA Championship: Joe Hendry (c) vs. Trick Williams

The crowd inside the Yuengling Center erupted in cheers as the match got underway, clearly excited at this main event. Williams shoved Hendry aside, but got sent outside for his troubles. Hendry followed that up with a dive to the outside that flattened Williams in short order. Insied the ring, Hendry maintained control with a shoulder block, followed by a stalling suplex, Early pin attempt by Hendry saw Williams kick out at two. Hendry with the side headlock takeover on Williams, but the challenger responded in kind with a fallaway slam. With a kip-up, Williams mocked Hendry with signature pose, followed by the Book End for a near-fall.

Williams headed up top, but Hendry ran up and hit a super fallaway slam for a close near-fall. Hendry used his speed to catch Williams with a couple of pinfall attempts, that the challenger kicked out of at each turn. Williams and Hendry exchanged strikes a’plenty, as Williams delivered a Booker T-style axe kick in the aftermath of the exchange. Williams paid tribute to the third man of the NXT commentary team with a Spin-a-Roonie, but this opened him up to a Rock Bottom by Hendry. One, two, not just yet.

The challenger got the better of Hendry with a series of kicks as he headed up top and looked for a Blockbuster. Hendry rolled through and used his strength to slam Williams down right in the middle of the ring. Williams sent Hendry outside and threw him into the steel steps. Inside the ring, Williams kept up the momentum with an unusual neckbreaker on Hendry. Williams rolled under a Hendry clothesline and hit a proper neckbreaker on the TNA Champion, but only got a two-count out of it. Williams squeezed away at Hendry with a body scissors, but the Scotsman powered out of it and dropped Williams with a suplex.

As both men struggled to get back on their feet, Hendry got up first and hit Williams with a flurry of offense to believe in. He connected with the fallaway slam as the champ did his signature pose. Hendry connected with the Standing Ovation, but Williams got his foot on the bottom rope at the very last second.

Hendry looked like he was going to hit an Attitude Adjustment, but Williams escaped. The fight headed out of the ring, as Williams threw Hendry face-first onto the base of the steel steps. Williams then hit a uranage onto the announce table as he followed that with a Trick Shot knee inside the ring. One, two… Hendry barely kicked out!

Williams introduced the TNA Championship and looked to use it as a weapon. The referee stopped him before he could do any damage. In the confusion, Hendry tried to roll him up, but Williams kicked out. Williams fought out of the Standing Ovation with a thumb to the eye, as he then slammed Hendry face-first onto the TNA Championship belt! Williams followed this up with one more Trick Shot knee for the three and that’s it, over. NXT’s Trick Williams is your new TNA World Champion.

Trick Williams def. Joe Hendry via pinfall to win the TNA World Championship

Certainly an interesting finish that won’t help dissuade the potential of WWE having bought out TNA Wrestling, but all that aside, it was a good main event that showed just how much these two wrestlers who have been often been accused of being nothing more but flashy entrances can really go. I was surprised at how much I was invested in this main event match.

It’s clear that NXT Battleground won’t be the biggest wrestling show of this evening (and that’s okay), but what we got was once again an enjoyable show from the silver-and-black brand of WWE. Just another solid set of matches (with the Vaquer vs. Grace title match being my favorite of the night) and certainly not a bad way to spend a Sunday night.

TNA Under Siege live results: Joe Hendry & Elijah vs. Frankie Kazarian & Trick Williams

Sherriff Stone & Santino Marella Open Countdown To Under Siege

The show begins with Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt welcoming the viewing audience at home, as arrival footage of various stars, including TNA World Champion Joe Hendry and WWE NXT Superstar Trick Williams, are shown.

Inside the arena, Robert Stone is in the ring with a microphone. He says he came out here to welcome everyone to the show. Also to say how surprised he is all of these hick losers were able to afford tickets. He calls himself Sherriff Stone and rants negatively about Santino Marella.

Toronto’s own Santino Marella’s theme hits and out comes the TNA Director of Authority to a big pop to confront Sherriff Stone. Santino tells “Bobby Stoner” that he has a big mouth. He tells Stone that these people believe in him, and that’s why he’s in the position he is.

Santino vows to make the decisions the people want tonight, the same way he always has. “And you’re a some-of-a-gun!” he concludes. Stone says “tonight your daughter is going to be in this ring with one of the most dangerous women in wrestling history.”

He warns Santino that Tessa isn’t gonna hold back. He says he’s a good guy and he called the local hospital to make sure they’ve got a comfortable room that says “Arianna Grace” on it. Santino asks Stone if he thinks he’s funny trying to intimidate a young lady.

Santino says he’ll react like a father, not an authority figure, if something happens to his daughter tonight. He tells Stone to look in his eyes so he knows how serious he is being when he says it. That’s how the opening segment wraps up.

Rosemary vs. Xia Brookside

A video package airs and then the show returns inside the arena, where the lights go out. Rosemary’s theme hits and out she comes for the lone advertised pre-show match. She settles in the ring and Xia Brookside’s “American Pie”-sounding entrance tune hits to bring out her opponent.

The bell sounds and Rosemary immediately charges across the ring, screaming and quickly going to work on Brookside. The commentators talk about how Rosemary has been trying to convince Brookside to turn to the dark side in recent weeks.

Brookside fights back, blasting Rosemary with a big kick. Rosemary rolls out to the floor and ends up stopping to yell at Hannifan at the commentary desk. She turns around to Brookside leaping off of the top turnbuckle for a big splash on the floor.

Back inside the ring, Rosemary starts to shift the offensive momentum in her favor. Upon settling into a commanding lead, she takes Brookside to the mat and slows things down, slapping a rear choke on her and squeezing away.

The crowd rallies behind Brookside and she eventually escapes. Rosemary stops to back the referee in the corner and intimidate him, before turning and putting the boots to Brookside some more on the mat. She goes for a running splash in the corner, but Brookside moves.

Rosemary wraps her legs around Brookside, looking for the upside-down tarantula in the ropes, however Brookside avoids it and counters with a big Samoan drop. She fires up with some rapid-fire-style clotheslines, before blasting Rosemary with a big super kick.

Brookside stomps Rosemary down in the corner, mud-hole-style like ole’ “Stone Cold” himself. She backs up, and runs into Rosemary with repeated knees, stopping only to let out a big scream. Rosemary fights back and catches Brookside off-guard with a spear.

Both are down and slowly recovering. Rosemary takes over again and heads out to the floor. She looks under the ring for something. She pulls out a staple gun. She also introduces a belt to the mix. Brookside gets her hands on the belt.

She ends up using it and going completely nuts, shrieking and screaming as she whips Rosemary with it, and a bunch of security guards who try and hit the ring. She looks around with a crazy look in her eyes after the referee calls for the bell.

Brookside sees the carnage she has caused all around her with bodies everywhere. The fans chant “One more time! One more time!” She looks around and after a slight hesitation, begins unleashing belt-whips to everyone-and-anyone in reaching distance. The crowd went absolutely nuts for that.

Match Result: Rosemary defeats Xia Brookside via Disqualification

Mike Santana vs. KC Navarro (w/ AJ Francis)

The Countdown to Under Siege pre-show wraps up and the elaborate cold open video package airs to get things started for the TNA Under Siege 2025 main card. Inside the arena, the theme for Mike Santana hits and out he comes through the crowd.

Santana is wearing pink and black in a tribute to Canadian legend Bret Hart in his home country. The entrance tune for his opponent, AJ Francis, hits. Francis comes out cutting a heel promo trashing the Toronto Maple Leafs for cheap heat.

Francis then reveals that it will be fellow First Class member KC Navarro, not himself, that Santana will be facing tonight. Santana at this point grabs Navarro from the ring apron and yanks him over the top-rope, slamming him onto the mat.

The bell sounds to get things officially started. Santana immediately jumps into a comfortable, commanding offensive lead. He hits a running back-elbow to Navarro in the corner. He slams him down and then hits a standing senton for a two-count.

In his second tribute of the show, Santana hits the Three Amigos sequence on Navarro and then pops up, stops and points to the fans as the Brampton crowd breaks out in a loud “Eddie! Eddie!” chant. Santana gets distracted dealing with Francis at ringside.

The distraction allows Navarro to hit a big move, which shifts the offensive momentum in his favor for the first time in the bout. He controls the action for a minute or two, but then Santana hits a Rolling Buck-50 to begin taking back over. Santana finishes things off with Spin the Block for the win.

After the match, Santana celebrates his win and then stops and looks at Navarro on the mat. He helps him up and begins showing him a sign of respect after going through battle with him, only for Francis to hit the ring with his crutch and attack Santana from behind.

Navarro didn’t seem to be into it. Francis orders him to come help. Navarro hesitates, but ultimately begrudgingly does so. Francis then grabs Navarro’s hand and raises it with his own, soaking up the boos from the Savannah crowd in attendance.

Match Result: Mike Santana defeats KC Navarro

Gabby Laspisa Fills In For Gia Miller Tonight

After the main card opener wraps up, Hannifan and Rehwoldt appear on camera and announce that Gia Miller is on vacation, so filling in for her tonight is Gabby Laspisa.

She then appears at ringside, where she does some interviews with local celebrities, including the Brampton mascot. It is mentioned that Gia Miller will return in two weeks at TNA Against All Odds.

Cody Deaner vs. Eddie Edwards

The video package airs to set the stage for the next match of the show, which features Cody Deaner fighting for his career in TNA Wrestling, as he battles Eddie Edwards in a match he must win if he wants to remain in TNA.

After the package wraps up, a nervous Deaner is shown watching on a monitor backstage. Eric Young walks up and approaches him and tells him he thinks he’ll be fine. Inside the arena, the lights go down and the theme for The System hits.

Eddie Edwards makes his way out accompanied by Alisha Edwards. He heads to the ring for the second main card match of the evening, and third overall. Canada’s own Cody Deaner comes out next to a pretty good reaction from his home country crowd.

The bell sounds and Deaner stops to look around and soak up the atmosphere. “Cody! Cody!” chants spread throughout the building. Edwards gets in Deaner’s face and finger pokes him in the chest. Deaner slaps him. Edwards and Deaner trade chops back-and-forth.

Deaner gets off to a surprising early offensive lead, only for it to be cut short when Alisha Edwards gets involved from ringside when the referee wasn’t looking. Edwards takes over and beats Deaner down. Edwards hits a brutal Blue Thunder Bomb to Deaner on the apron from the floor.

Edwards hits a super-plex to Deaner off of the ropes, and followed up with his finisher for a super close two-count. The crowd and commentators alike were shocked that Deaner survived that. Deaner fights back and hits Sliced Bread on the floor.

Back in the ring, Edwards puts on The System ring behind the referee’s back. He knocks out Deaner with it. He goes for the cover, but again somehow Deaner kicks out. The crowd explodes. Deaner comes to life and begins fighting back.

Unfortunately for Deaner, however, Alisha snuck in a low-blow moments later, which was immediately followed up by Edwards with his Boston Tea Party finisher. Edwards goes for the quick follow-up cover and gets the pin. It looks like Deaner’s career in TNA is over.

Match Result: Eddie Edwards defeated Cody Deaner

The Northern Armory (Eric Young, Judas Icarus & Travis Williams) vs. The System (Moose, Brian Myers & JDC)

The rest of The System come out to mock and taunt Deaner about that fact. Brian Myers then thanks his best friend Eddie Edwards for finally retiring Deaner. He tells the fans they can see Deaner tomorrow at his new job at their local gas station.

JDC gets a turn taunting him, and then Moose takes a long turn, where he also trashes Canada. This brings out Eric Young and The Northern Armory in cloaks and hoods. Young asks how long The System thought they were going to let them talk trash.

Young says it looks like The System has a honey badger with them. He says they’ll bring their own Honey Badger, the Brampton Mascot, to be with them. It’ll be an impromptu six-man tag-team bout. A referee runs down and the bell sounds.

JDC and Judas Icarus kick things off for their respective teams. Icarus starts off strong and tags in Williams. Williams picks up where he left off, and JDC tags in Myers. Icarus tags back in and goes to work on Myers. He goes for a cover, but Myers kicks out.

Myers tags in Moose. The TNA X-Division Champion gets chants of his name from the Canadian crowd. He points to Young and tells Icarus he wants him. Icarus backs up and tags in the TNA veteran. The crowd roars as Canada’s own Young enters the ring and stares down Moose.

The System begin to take over, shifting the offensive momentum in their favor. They make some frequent tags, keeping Icarus isolated in the ring and on their side of town. Icarus eventually lands a big kick that allows him to make the much-needed hot tag to Young.

Young comes into the ring with a ton of energy, hitting anything that moves. He climbs to the top-rope and leaps off, connecting with a picture-perfect cross-body splash on Moose for a close two-count. The Brampton Honey Badger gets the crowd going.

Moose crotches Young on the top, killing the crowd noise instantly. Icarus and Williams come over as Moose climbs up after Young. They hoist him up together and hit a double power bomb. Young follows up with a flying elbow smash off the top-rope for a super close two-count.

Young plays to the crowd and calls for the piledriver. Before he can hit it, however, he turns around and walks into a big spear from Moose. Moose goes for the immediate follow-up pin attempt, but Icarus hits the ring to break it up.

JDC helps clean house but walks into a super kick from Young. Moose rushes in for a spear, but is hit by a super kick from Young. Young gets Moose up on his shoulders and hits a strong death valley driver on the big-man.

Moose yanks Young into the corner and motions to Alisha for something. She pulls out a kendo stick from under the ring. The Brampton Honey Badget mascot tries to stop her, but she whacks him with the kendo stick and knocks him out.

She then blasts him with repeated shots on the ground before passing the kendo stick to Moose. The Brampton City Councilman gets involved, taking the kendo stick from Moose. The Head of the Brampton Board Trade gets the kendo stick and guards the ring as Young hits a piledriver on Moose for the win.

Match Result: The Northern Armory defeated The System

TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Titles (Match By Elegance)
Ash & Heather By Elegance (c) vs. Spitfire (Jody Threat & Dani Luna)

It’s time for championship action with a twist in our next match of the evening. The TNA Under Siege ‘Tag Lines’ graphic flashes on the screen to run down the TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Championship “Match By Elegance” bout.

The match features reigning champions Ash & Heather by Elegance and the challengers, the Spitfire duo of Jody Threat and Dani Luna, in essentially a “no rules” bout dubbed “Match by Elegance.” Spitfire vow to never team together if they don’t win tonight.

New TNA signees to the Knockouts division, Harley Hudson and Myla Grace, are shown in the crowd before the match gets started. Spitfire’s theme hits and Threat and Luna make their way out wearing apropos “Do or Die” shirts.

Reigning TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Champions Ash and Heather by Elegance are personally introduced by their concierge, George Iceman. They come out in outfits taunting the Canadian crowd, after Iceman took some cheap-heat shots at the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Spitfire charge across the ring and immediately get this no-rules bout underway, attacking the champs. After beating them down, the two reach under the ring and pull out a table. Within a minute into the match, a table is already set up at ringside.

Heather pulls out a can of hair-spray and sprays it into the eyes of Threat, shifting the offensive momentum in her team’s favor for the first time. Ash and Heather double-team Threat at the top of the ramp.

Heather holds her as Ash comes out with a dressed up stop sign looking like an old 1980s Jim Cornette tennis racket cover. She hits a big suplex to Threat onto the stop sign. She grabs a steel chair, unfolds it and sets it up. She does the same with a second chair.

Threat ends up hitting a suplex to Ash onto the two facing unfolded steel chairs. She lets out a big scream afterwards and then drags Ash by her hair back down the ramp towards the ring. The champs take back over and double-team Threat, giving her an impromptu makeover.

In the ring, a kendo stick is introduced into the mix, as is a bunch of baby powder and a pink umbrella. The fans chant “We want tables!” George Iceman throws the ‘glitter bomb’ into Threat’s eyes. He hands Ash a champagne bottle, which she breaks over Luna’s head.

George Iceman taps into his inner-Das Wonder Kid, Alex Wright, by doing his old one-move-only dance on the ring apron to taunt the Canadian crowd. Threat ends up making him pay for it, slamming him down to the floor.

She goes after Ash in the ring and hits a Tiger Driver for a close two-count, broken up by a shot from a pink garbage can lid by Heather. A sack of something is pulled out and poured all over the mat. It’s a bunch of rhinestones.

The champs hit a double-team spot to Threat onto the pile of rhinestones. They go for the cover, but Luna breaks it up just in time to keep this one going. Iceman gets involved again to help Heather. Maggie Lee gets involved as well.

This leads to Ash dropping Luna, and Luna’s head clipping the table on the way down. Ouch. Ash picks Luna back up and lays her on the table. She climbs back up to the top and leaps off to put Luna through the table.

Threat attacks Lee in the ring, but gets hit as she tries to dive through the ropes with a trash can lid by Heather. Ash hits her Rarified Air finisher and covers her for the win. With the win, Ash and Heather by Elegance retain the TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Championships.

t also means Spitfire must break up and never team together again. Ash throws something in the face of a fan as she is heading back up the ramp. The camera barely caught this. Didn’t seem like part of the show.

Match Result: Ash & Heather By Elegance defeated Spitfire to retain TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Titles

Order 4 (Mustafa Ali, Tasha Steelz, John Skyler & Jason Hotch) vs. Raj Singh, Indi Hartwell & The Rascalz (Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz)

A video package airs showing Mustafa Ali’s attack of Ace Austin, resulting in him being injured and pulled from a scheduled eight-man tag-team bout on tonight’s show. The package wraps up and the theme for Mustafa Ali hits.

Out he comes with the rest of Order 4 — Tasha Steelz and The Great Hands duo of John Skyler and Jason Hotch. The four-person team settle inside the squared circle for our next match of the evening. They await the arrival of their opposition.

The theme for The Rascalz hits and the Canadian crowd pops as Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz make their way down to the ring. Their entrance tune for their first partner hits, and out comes newcomer to the TNA Knockouts scene, former WWE and WWE NXT Superstar Indi Hartwell.

With the three known members of the opposing team now in the corner, they are taunted on the microphone by The Great Hands, who ask where Ace Austin is. They say it’s four on three, and they should just forfeit.

Before they can continue, out comes a completely different-looking Campaign Singh addressing Ali on the microphone. He says he used to treat Ali like a mentor. The crowd gives Singh the “What?” treatment after each sentence he speaks into the mic.

“Let me cook, Brampton,” he says, hoping to stop it. It, of course, only made it worst. Singh calls Ali a narcissist with a God complex. He says he’s here to tell him to his face that in his hometown of Brampton, Ontario, whether he likes it or not, he’s a B-Town Boy and representing this place in TNA Wrestling.

He says after all this time, everything he’s said is nothing more than him just being “full of sh*t.” Those are the final words from Singh, as he blasts Ali to get the fight off-and-running. Raj Singh, formerly known as Campaign Singh, is the mystery fourth competitor, and Ace Austin’s replacement for The Rascalz and Indi Hartwell team.

We hear the bell to make things official, and then we see The Rascalz hit a big dive to take out The Great Hands on the floor, as Singh works over Ali on the ramp. In the ring, Steelz is putting the boots to Hartwell. Hartwell takes over and hits a side-slam for a two-count.

Hartwell hits a huge high spot, connecting with a cutter to Steelz on the entire pile of bodies in the ring. The crowd exploded for that. Moments later, Ali hits a baseball slide to take out Hartwell on the floor for some dark heat. He finishes Singh off with a 450 splash in the ring.

After the match, he further attacks Singh as Steelz pleads for him to stop. While this is happening, Ali yanks his arm away, hitting Steelz and knocking her down. She looks shocked. The Great Hands look shocked. Ali looks unfazed. He walks off as Hannifan talks with disgust about him on commentary.

Match Result: Order 4 defeated Raj Singh, Indi Hartwell & The Rascalz

Arianna Grace vs. Tessa Blanchard

Backstage, Santino Marella is shown with his daughter, “The Liaison” Arianna Grace. He tells her it’s time. He tells her this is no joke. She assures him she’s ready. She says Tessa Blanchard has done nothing but underestimate her the entire time.

She vows to kick her ass tonight. Santino gets choked up with pride and they walk off together. Back inside the arena, veteran referee Jimmy Korderas is shown in a brief cameo appearance in the crowd. Tessa Blanchard’s theme hits and out she comes to a ton of heat.

Arianna Grace’s entrance tune hits next, and out in a “Macho Man” Randy Savage-looking robe comes Mrs. NXT and The Liaison, Arianna Grace. Santino Marella accompanies her to the ring. Before the match starts, Robert Stone makes his way out.

“Sherriff” Stone tells Santino without an official manager’s license, he’s going to have to ban him from ringside. He stands there and waits for Santino to leave before anything else happens. An official comes out and also makes sure he leaves. The bell sounds and off we go.

Tessa immediately takes an early dominant offensive lead, as the Canadian crowd just as fast gets on her case with loud “She’s a racist!” chants. Tessa gets Arianna on the ground at ringside and ground-and-pounds her with a vengeance as the “She’s a racist!” chants get going again.

Tessa walks over to the guard rail and just glares at the fans close-up, and it actually got them to stop the chant — for the time being. As the action resumes in the ring, Tessa puts the boots to Arianna as anti-chants get going again. She stops and taunts the crowd.

After some more dominant offense from Blanchard, things start to finally shift a bit, as Grace gets in some offense. She hits a big dropkick and a big slam for a two-count. After another minute in control, Tessa takes back over and hits Buzzsaw and Magnum for the win.

Once the match wraps up, Blanchard poses and taunts the crowd and then heads to the back. Santino Marella comes back out and checks on his daughter. He helps Arianna out of the ring. As this is happening, Robert Stone comes out and says big deal she lost, they’ve got a show to continue. He orders them to hurry up and leave.

Match Result: Tessa Blanchard defeated Arianna Grace

TNA Knockouts Championship
Masha Slamovich (c) vs. Victoria Crawford

From there, “Sherriff Stone,” still in the ring after his unnecessary spotlighting of an ejecting of Santino Marella and Arianna Grace from ringside, introduces who he says will be the next TNA Knockouts Champion. Victoria Crawford, formerly known as Alicia Fox, comes out.

The theme for the reigning and defending TNA Knockouts Champion hits and Masha Slamovich makes her way out. She settles inside the squared circle and after McKenzie Mitchell handles the formal pre-match ring introductions for the champion and challenger, the bell sounds.

Immediately Slamovich takes the early offensive lead. Almost immediately Robert Stone, who is still at ringside despite not having a manager’s license of his own, which the commentary team points out, gets involved. This leads to Crawford taking over and starting a prolonged offensive lead.

One single fan chants “Crawford’s Crazy!” which prompts Crawford to literally stop what she’s doing, pop her head through the ropes, which are facing the hard camera, and shouts an insult back to the fan loud enough that it was audible on the broadcast.

Now the crowd is dead silent. One fan is doing the “Booorrrringgg! Booorrrringgg!” chant. As Slamovich starts to take over, Stone gets involved from ringside again, distracting the referee. Crawford hits a huge piledriver for a close two-count.

Stone distracts the referee again and slides the TNA Knockouts title belt to Crawford. Crawford picks it up and goes to use it, but the referee stops her. Slamovich accidentally knocks out the referee and then turns around into a big belt shot from Crawford.

Stone gets involved again, but this time Slamovich fights back. She hits her Requiem finisher to Crawford on the title belt. She rolls her over and covers her. The referee makes the count and Slamovich wins and retains her TNA Knockouts Championship.

After the match, Slamovich talks about looking for a worthy challenger. She says she’s been seeing Lei Ying Lee as of late, and she has earned her respect. She tells her to come down and accept her challenge to face her next for the TNA Knockouts Championship.

The lights go out and Lei Ying Lee’s theme hits. Out comes the former WWE Superstar once known as Xia Li, fresh off of her debut MMA fighting win last week, something that is brought up and mentioned on the air by the commentary team.

Robert Stone comes back out. “Sherriff Stone” in his leather suit asks what is going on out here. He says wrestlers can’t just walk around making the matches they want. He says Lei Ying Lee might very well be worthy of a title shot, but if she wants it, she’ll have to earn it by winning a match next week on Impact.

Match Result: Masha Slamovich defeated Victoria Crawford to retain the TNA Knockouts Title

Sabu Tribute

From there, the camera pans over to the commentary desk to show Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt. Rehwoldt says at this time they turn their attention to a sad story from the pro wrestling world. He mentions the passing of the legend Terry “Sabu” Brunk.

He calls Sabu someone who motivated many wrestlers, including himself. A very special extended video package airs with footage of Sabu in TNA in the past, with new comments from several TNA wrestlers, pro wrestling veterans and personalities. Rest in peace to Sabu.

TNA World Tag-Team Championships
The Nemeths (Nic Nemeth & Ryan Nemeth) (c) vs. Matt Hardy & Leon Slater

After the Sabu tribute wraps up, the TNA Under Siege ‘Tag Lines’ graphic flashes on the screen to set the stage for the co-main event of the evening, where the TNA World Tag-Team Championships will be on-the-line.

The iconic sounds of The Hardys theme music hits the house speakers inside the CAA Centre in Brampton, and out comes Matt Hardy with his hand-picked partner, Leon Slater. The challengers settle inside the squared circle and pose on the ropes to a big pop.

We hear the trademark unzip and, well, pleased female sounds, that always precede the entrance tune for “The Wanted Man” Nic Nemeth, who makes his way out accompanied by “The Hollywood Hunk” and his little brother, Ryan Nemeth. The Nemeths settle in the ring for their title defense.

Nic Nemeth and Matt Hardy kick things off for their respective teams. Matt leads the crowd in “Delete! Delete!” chants. Nemeth takes over after a minute or two, and Ryan loudly cheers him on from the apron. “That’s my big brother!”

Leon Slater tags in, and starts off strong, but is ultimately beaten down in double-team fashion by Nic and Ryan. Nic settles in as the legal man and continues to go to work on Slater, as the fans try and rally behind him.

Ryan hits Slater from behind the referees back to kill Slater’s comeback attempt. Nic tags Ryan back in, and Ryan goes to work on Slater while continuing to keep him isolated on the Nemeth’s side of the ring. He stops to turn and taunt Matt, doing the Jeff Hardy hand-flip dance-style pose.

Fans break out in a loud “We want Matt!” chant as Ryan and Nic continue to utilize frequent tags to keep a fresh man on the beaten down Slater at all times. Slater finally hits a DDT on Ryan to buy himself some much-needed time. He makes the badly needed hot tag to Matt.

Matt Hardy hits the ring with a ton of energy as the Brampton crowd explodes. He goes to work on Nic, who tags in for the other team. Slater comes back in and hits a Twist of Slate, leading into a Plot Twist from Hardy for a close two-count. In the end, ultimately The Nemeths steal the win to retain.

Match Result: The Nemeths defeated Matt Hardy & Leon Slater to retain TNA Tag-Team Titles

Father & Daughter Want A Match Together

Backstage, Santino Marella is telling his daughter, Arianna Grace, that she had a good showing for herself tonight. She says that’s not what she wanted. She wanted a fair fight. Santino says he’s gonna talk to higher-ups and get a match against Robert Stone.

As he continues talking, Arianna stops him and says she wants in on it. She says how about Santino and Arianna against Stone and Tessa Blanchard. Santino says he’s gonna talk to some people and make it happen. He vows to make Stone pay to the Cobra on Impact.

Joe Hendry & Elijah vs. Trick Williams & Frankie Kazarian

It’s main event time!

The pre-match video package airs now showing the road to tonight’s tag-team main event, which features TNA World Champion Joe Hendry and Elijah joining forces to battle “The King of TNA” Frankie Kazarian and WWE NXT Superstar Trick Williams.

After the package wraps up, the show returns back inside the CAA Centre, where Kazarian’s theme hits to bring him out first. He settles in the ring to some heat from the Canadian crowd in attendance. Trick’s catchy-ass entrance tune hits next.

Loud chants of “Whoop that Trick!” echo throughout the building as the former WWE NXT World Champion makes his way out and heads to the ring to join his partner, Kazarian, as they await the arrival of their opposition for this headline attraction.

Elijah’s guitar strum is the next thing the fans hear, and they explode once again. Elijah makes his way out with his trademark guitar over his shoulder. The viral smash hit, “I Believe in Joe Hendry” hits next, and out comes the reigning TNA World Champion.

Hendry does the full ring entrance routine, with the crowd doing the wave in the background with him. The commentators, ironically enough, focus more on Hendry’s title defense against Trick at tomorrow night’s WWE NXT Battleground 2025 show than the main event about to happen now.

After the bell sounds to get things started, it is Elijah and Kazarian who kick things off for their respective teams. Elijah controls the early offensive exchanges. He tags in Hendry and the crowd roars. Hendry calls for Trick to tag in as well. The crowd wants it, too.

Trick does not. Kazarian continues the action instead, with Hendry beating him down and throwing him around the ring with hip-tosses, before tagging Elijah back in. The two hit a double-team spot on Kazarian. Elijah goes for the cover, but only gets a two-count.

Kazarian finally tags out for the first time, and slowly Trick makes his way into the ring. The crowd breaks out in loud “Whoop that Trick!” chants. He walks over and boots Elijah in the gut. He throws Elijah down to the mat and continues to shift the momentum to his team’s favor.

As the action continues, Trick and Kazarian get into an argument on the apron on opposite sides of the ring ropes. Trick is then knocked into Kazarian, sending Kazarian flying and crashing and burning on the floor at ringside.

All four end up brawling at ringside and through the crowd, which is making a ton of noise with the action up close-and-personal. Back in the ring, Hendry and Elijah take it to Trick and Kazarian. Hendry hoists Kazarian up for his stalled suplex.

At the same time, Elijah does his “Walk With Elijah” top-rope old school spot. Hendry holds Kazarian forever, and Elijah does the top-rope tight-rope walk all the way around the ring before leaping down at the same time Hendry finally finished his suplex.

Things calm down and settle back into man-on-man action in the ring. Trick hits a Trick Kick out of nowhere. Kazarian tags in and takes over, working over Elijah as the crowd tries rallying behind him, encouraging him to make the tag.

He finally does, but Trick hits the ring to distract the referee. The referee doesn’t see the tag as a result, and forces Hendry back to the ring apron. Kazarian goes to work on Elijah, but Elijah hits a float-over counter into a power bomb.

Both guys are down and out. They each slowly recover and begin crawling to their respective corners. They each make the tag. In comes Hendry and Trick to face off as the legal men in the ring for the first time in the match. Hendry immediately goes to work on Trick.

Hendry has Trick laid out. He looks around at the crowd and does the big dramatic turn. He then does the stomp and clap “We will rock you!” routine. He hits an Olympic slam on Trick for a close two-count. Trick fights back with a standing urinagi for a two-count.

Trick heads up to the second rope. He leaps and Hendry catches him, but the momentum takes him down. He rolls through and stands back up while holding Trick. He goes for a big move, but Trick counters into a DDT, and then tags in Kazarian.

Kazarian hits a leg drop off the ropes to Hendry for a close two-count. He sets the TNA World Champion up for the Chicken Wing, but Hendry avoids it and fights back. He hits an Attitude Adjustment on Kazarian for a close two-count of his own.

Hendry tags Elijah back in. Elijah looks for the Highwayman’s piledriver, but Kazarian avoids it. He tags Trick back in. Trick catches Elijah running at him with a big boot. Elijah fights back with a flying knee that flattens the WWE NXT Superstar.

He covers him for a two-count. Trick blasts Elijah with a Trick Shot as Kazarian attacks Hendry on the floor. Kazarian heads over and grabs the guitar that Elijah brought out with him. The commentators bring up Elijah blasting Kazarian with the guitar on last night’s Impact.

Kazarian doesn’t get to use the guitar before he ends up back in the ring. Elijah hits his piledriver. Trick comes in and he’s got the guitar. The referee wrestles it away from him as Elijah has a pin on Kazarian. The crowd was counting almost to ten before the referee finally counted, only getting to two.

Trick accidentally blasts Kazarian with his Trick Shot finisher. Hendry knocks Trick out to the floor and then hoists Kazarian up and connects with his Standing Ovation finisher. Hendry covers Kazarian and gets the three count for the victory.

After the match, Hendry and Trick have a stare down as Hannifan promotes their TNA World Championship showdown scheduled for the upcoming WWE NXT Battleground 2025 premium live event on Sunday night. That’s how TNA Under Siege 2025 goes off the air.

Match Result: Joe Hendry & Elijah defeated Trick Williams & Frankie Kazarian

**********

Mustafa Ali (w/ Tasha Steelz & The Great Hands) vs. Ace Austin

The show settles inside the Impact Zone after the usual “Cross the Line” theme and video intro and recap package for the previous week’s show. The theme for Mustafa Ali hits and out he comes for the first match of the evening.

Ali’s arm is taped up, and he is accompanied by Tasha Steelz and The Great Hands duo of John Skyler and Jason Hotch. He settles inside the ring as the commentary duo of Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt put over Ali looking and being more dangerous than ever.

ABC’s theme hits and out comes Ace Austin. He makes his way to the ring and the bell sounds to get things officially off-and-running. Ali takes the early offensive lead, beating down Austin. Austin starts to fight back, knocking Ali to the floor.

He hits a cartwheel into a handstand to avoid a sweep from Ali from the floor, and then blasts him with a big shot that decks him at ringside. He picks Ali up and rolls him back into the ring. He charges at Ali in the corner. Ali avoids him.

Austin leaps up to the ropes in the corner, only for Ali to hit a leg-DDT. Ali smashes Austin’s leg into the steel ring post. The leg of Austin was already not 100% coming into the bout due to the attack he suffered at the hands of Ali and company backstage on last week’s show.

Ali gets Austin on the ropes hanging upside down in the tree of woe. He puts more pressure on the bum wheel of the ABC member. He backs up and charges at him, looking for a Steve Maclin-style spear to the upside down Austin, but Austin does a sit up and Ali slides and splits the post with his legs.

Ali recovers and locks Austin into the Boston Crab. Austin makes it to the ropes to break the hold. Austin goes to the top-rope and looks for the 450 splash. Austin moves, so Ali lands on his feet. Ali pulls Tasha Steelz into the ring and covers himself with her like a shield.

As Austin gets Steelz up and out of the away, Ali attacks Austin from behind. Ali slaps Austin in a leg submission on his injured leg and cranks back like a madman, forcing the tap out and getting the victory. The commentators once again talk about the look in Ali’s eyes. Ali heads over and yells at them.

Match Result: Mustafa Ali defeated Ace Austin via submission

The System Talk About Their Plans For Tonight

Backstage, we hear the annoying nails-on-a-chalkboard sounds of Alisha Edwards’ voice. “Do you wanna know something?” she begins.

The System members are standing with her and they all mention their plans for tonight. Eddie Edwards vows to get rid of Cody Deaner once and for all. Moose talks to Elijah and says he’s gonna stick his foot straight up his ass.

He says he’ll do the same to Joe Hendry as well. He says after that, they will head to Brampton, Ontario, and will make sure to let all of Canada know that you always “trust the System.” The show heads into a commercial break.

Rosemary Sends A Violent Message To Xia Brookside

When the show returns, Rosemary is shown talking to the camera, sending a message to Xia Brookside. She talks about the power she could wield if she would just choose to.

She says she hasn’t found what fuels her. Then she questions if she has or not, with a sadistic smile on her face. She points down. The camera pans down and we see Lei Ying Lee is laid out and unconscious.

She tells Xia she can come to the light herself, or she can be dragged, kicking and screaming, which she says as she lifts up Lee’s lifeless head.

The Northern Armory (Travis Williams & Judas Icarus) (w/ Eric Young) vs. Aztec Warriors (Laredo & Octagon Jr.)

Back inside the Impact Zone, the theme for The Northern Armory hits. It’s a modified remix-style version of Eric Young’s badass entrance tune. Young accompanies the duo of Travis Williams and Judas Icarus to the ring for scheduled tag-team action.

After they settle inside the squared circle, their music dies down and the lights come back on in the arena. The music for their opponents plays, and out comes the Aztec Warriors team of Laredo and Octagon Jr. The bell sounds and we’re off-and-running with this one.

Fans immediately break out in “Lucha! Lucha!” chants. Laredo and Travis Williams kick things off for their respective teams. The camera focuses a lot on Eric Young seeming on-edge, and irritated with the fans in the Impact Zone early into the match.

Williams handles things early on, but not for long. Fans rally behind Laredo with “Ole! Ole!” chants and he shifts the momentum in his team’s favor. He makes the tag, as does Travis. Octagon Jr. goes to work on Judas, until Judas starts biting him in the corner.

The camera focuses on the bloody shirts worn in the Dog Collar Match a couple of weeks ago. The commentators explain what the viewing audience at home are looking at while they are shown. Williams tags back in and continues controlling the action for his team.

Now we see a close-up shot of Young yelling and arguing with some fans in the front row. Williams gets involved with Young at ringside, while Icarus is getting beat down by Laredo and Octagon Jr. in the ring. A fight breaks out with Young and the fans.

After the camera focuses on the action in the ring again, Octagon is in control of things when he hits a spinning splash over the ropes onto Young and Williams on the floor. Laredo comes off the top-rope with a moonsault to the pile of bodies on the floor.

Icarus is rolled back into the ring. Laredo hits a running Superman forearm on him in the corner. He hoists him up and slams him down. Octagon Jr. comes off the top-rope with his finisher and makes the cover for the pinfall victory.

Match Result: Aztec Warriors defeated The Northern Armory

Xia Brookside Responds To Rosemary

When the show returns from a commercial break, Xia Brookside is shown backstage with a still-recovering Lei Ying Lee.

She responds to the comments made by Rosemary earlier in the show, vowing revenge on her at TNA Under Siege 2025 for all of those who are like her and refuse to sell their soul.

Eddie Edwards (w/ Alisha Edwards) vs. Jake Painter

Inside the Impact Zone, Cody Deaner is introduced alongside Hannifan and Rehwoldt on special guest commentary for the next match of the evening.

With that said, The System theme hits and out comes Eddie Edwards accompanied by Alisha Edwards. Deaner says on commentary he’s ready to beat Edwards and save his career at TNA Under Siege 2025.

In the ring, Edwards’ opponent is already standing. Jake Painter is then introduced and the bell sounds to get things started. Edwards immediately runs across the ring and nearly takes Painter’s head off.

Edwards delivers some more punishment to Painter at ringside, as Alisha yells at Deaner with the most annoying voice ever created. Edwards gets Painter in the ring and quickly finishes him off.

Deaner stands up and tells Edwards he’s going to beat him at TNA Under Siege 2025 because he needs to. The show heads to another commercial break after the match wraps up.

Match Result: Eddie Edwards defeated Jake Painter

Mance Warner & Steph De Lander Era Has Begun

The show returns to a new vignette with Mance Warner and Steph De Lander talking about finding their equal freak in the other. Footage is shown of the carnage that have caused since joining forces.

De Lander says it’s the Mance & De Lander Era now. “If you have a problem, tell someone who gives a sh*t,” are the words from De Lander that this ends on.

First Class (AJ Francis & KC Navarro) vs. Sami Callihan & Mike Santana

Back inside the Impact Zone, the familiar sounds of First Class’ theme hits to bring out AJ Francis and KC Navarro for scheduled tag-team action in our next match of the evening.

As the duo settle inside the squared circle, our second of three scheduled special guest commentator appearances is introduced, as actor O’Shea Jackson Jr., son of Ice Cube and host of the No-Contest Wrestling podcast is shown alongside Hannifan and Rehwoldt.

O’Shea talks about his dislike of First Class after their interaction on the First Class Penthouse on last week’s show. The theme for Sami Callihan hits and out comes the first of First Class’ two opponents. Mike Santana’s hip-hop tune hits next and out he comes through the crowd as always.

The bell sounds to get things started. Santana and Francis kick things off for their respective teams. Santana shoves Francis. Francis is held back by Navarro in the corner. Navarro backs into Santana and stops, realizing he has messed up.

Santana flips him and chops him down, following up with a standing senton. Callihan tags in. Navarro flips over his back off the ropes and taunts him. Callihan responds with a pop-up power bomb that nearly puts Navarro through the mat.

Callihan goes to power bomb Navarro over the ropes and onto the floor, but Francis is out there and he ends up catching him. Navarro goes to work on Callihan in the ring and tags in Francis. Francis and Navarro hit a double-team spot on Callihan and Francis follows up from there.

Santana finally gets the much-needed hot tag. He hits the ring with a ton of energy. He takes out Navarro with a Rolling Buck-50 and then hits the ropes and soars over the top-rope, flipping and splashing onto Francis on the floor at ringside.

Santana hits Outline in Chalk on Navarro for a close two-count after that. Francis hits the ring with a ton of steam, but is sent with just as much energy right back out to the floor. Santana tags in Callihan. The two go for a double-team spot, but Francis yanks Santana out of the ring.

He holds onto Callihan, allowing Navarro to hit a big kick. He follows that up with a Blessing in Disguise on Callihan for the cover and the 1-2-3. First Class gets the win. Afterwards, Santana calls Francis in to fight. Francis teases doing it, but walks off . The show heads to a break.

Match Result: First Class defeated Sami Callihan & Mike Santana

Authority Debate: Santino Marella (w/ Arianna Grace) vs. Robert Stone (w/ Victoria Crawford)

When the show returns, Gia Miller is standing in the ring to moderate the Authority Debate between TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella, and newcomer Robert Stone. With Santino is Arianna Grace, while Victoria Crawford is with Stone.

Miller tells each person they will get two minutes a piece. Santino gets to start. He talks about coming to TNA over two years ago and how he’s proud of the work he’s done. Stone gets a turn and flips out. He calls Santino a joke and says he’s never done anything to make TNA better.

It’s Santino’s turn again, but Stone refuses to stop. He says he’s gonna say his final statement now. He rants about once he’s in full power, he’s gonna fire all of the dead weight and do something Santino couldn’t do, which is create actual superstars.

Santino gets his final turn again and the crowd pops. As he begins talking, we see Arianna fall down behind him. She is dragged out of the ring by Tessa Blanchard, who showed up out of nowhere. She begins an attack and all hell breaks loose.

Masha Slamovich ends up coming down and she beats down Crawford, while Arianna actually recovers and gets her hands on Tessa for a big pop. Arianna and Masha go to double power bomb Tessa through the debate table.

It doesn’t break. The crowd chants for them to do it again, and they oblige. They walk off as Tessa is shown recovering and yelling in anger on the mat in the ring. On that note, the show shifts gears and heads into another commercial break.

Matt Cardona Gets New Date For TNA International Title Match

The show returns to Matt Cardona backstage with a piece of paper in his hands. He says it’s the contract for TNA Under Siege 2025 for his TNA International Championship match that he earned with his win last week.

He says the problem is, there is no match. Not because of him. Matt Cardona is “Alwayz Ready.” He says Steve Maclin isn’t medically cleared because of his Dog Collar Match. He calls Santino Marella on the phone to clear things up.

Santino appears live behind him. He tells him Maclin won’t be cleared by tomorrow, but he will be a few days later. He tells him the TNA International Championship match will take place on next week’s episode of TNA Impact.

Spitfire (Dani Luna & Jody Threat) vs. Vipress & Mazzerati

The show returns inside the Impact Zone to the familiar sounds of Spitfire’s theme music. Out to the ring for scheduled Knockouts tag-team action are the duo of Dani Luna and Jody Threat. Their opponents, Vipress and Mazzerati are already in the ring.

Before things get started, an ‘earlier today’ backstage segment is shown, where Luna and Threat talk about their urgency in getting back the TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Championships they believe rightfully belong to them.

They determine that like in the past, they have to put their future on-the-line and they know they’ll get it done under that pressure. They agree that if they don’t win back the titles, they will never team again. Back live, the bell sounds to get things started.

Mazzerati and Luna kick things off for their respective teams. Luna takes the early offensive lead as Hannifan and Rehwoldt talk on commentary about how this might be the final time on TNA Impact that fans see Spitfire together as a tag-team.

Threat and Vipress tags in, but it is surprisingly Vipress who takes over control of the offense. She isolates Threat on her team’s side of the ring and begins focusing her offensive attack on the arm of the former TNA Knockouts tag-team title-holder.

Mazzerati tags back in and lands a big kick on Threat, before dropping to the mat and sweeping her legs out from under her. She brings her back to her side of the ring and isolates her in a hold as Luna, and the fans in attendance, try and rally behind her.

Threat finally hits a jawbreaker to break free. She leaps and makes the much-needed hot tag to Luna. Luna hits the ring with a ton of energy and begins taking over, shifting the offensive momentum back in her team’s favor.

Threat and Luna hit their double-team finisher for the win moments later. After the match, Ash and Heather by Elegance run down and try and attack the champions with title-shots. Spitfire sees them coming.

Because Threat and Luna were aware of their presence, they avoid the title swings and end up laying them both out. They pick up the TNA Knockouts tag titles and take a look at them. They clang them together like beers and head off, as the show goes to a break.

Match Result: Spitfire defeated Vipress & Mazzerati

Matt Hardy Gives Leon Slater A Pre-TNA Under Siege Pep Talk

The show returns, and backstage Matt Hardy is seen with Leon Slater. Hardy tells Leon that tag team wrestling isn’t just about tagging in and out, it’s about finding a rhythm. He acknowledges that The Nemeths have that rhythm, but insists he and Leon can match it.

Matt points out that Leon brings youth to the table, while he brings experience and strategy. He warns Leon to keep his eyes on The Nemeths at all times. Leon confidently says he does have the rhythm, prompting Hardy to call him a weapon.

Matt reminds everyone he’s held tag team gold with MVP and Bray Wyatt, and now, at Under Siege, he plans to do it again with Leon Slater. The brief backstage pep talk-style segment wraps up on that note.

Joe Hendry & Elijah vs. The System (Moose & Brian Myers) (w/ Alisha Edwards & JDC)

It’s main event time!

But first, we hear the familiar sounds of Trick Williams’ theme and out comes the WWE NXT Superstar. As Williams makes his way to the commentary desk to join Hannifan and Rehwoldt on the call for the tag-team main event of the evening, Rehwoldt tries doing the Booker T hip-hop ad libs.

“Uh-huh, Yeah, I like it!” Hilarious. He tells Booker he’s sorry, but he had to try. Trick takes a seat alongside Hannifan and Rehwoldt and then his music dies down. The theme for the first team in tonight’s main event hits.

Out comes The System team of Moose and Brian Myers, accompanied by JDC and Alisha Edwards. They settle inside the ring and their music dies down. The lights in the building go out and we hear the familiar sounds of Elijah’s strumming of his guitar.

Out he comes with his trademark guitar in-hand, slung over his shoulder, as he begins his walk to the ring. Elijah settles at ringside, slides his guitar into the ring and claps hands with the entire front row around the ring, before settling inside himself and posing on the ropes.

His music dies down and then the familiar sounds of Joe Hendry’s viral smash hit entrance tune plays. The crowd goes nuts as the TNA World Champion makes his way out and heads to the ring for the final match of the evening.

As the fans do the Hendry entrance routine with him, Trick remarks on commentary, “Here we go again!” He refuses to do the wave, too. The show heads to a quick pre-match commercial break before things get started.

When the show returns, the bell sounds and Elijah and Myers kick things off for their respective teams. Elijah takes the early offensive lead over Myers and then slaps a side head-lock on him. He gets the better of Myers on the next offensive exchange as well.

This leads to Myers backing up and tagging in TNA X-Division Champion Moose. He comes in and Elijah leans back and tags in Joe Hendry for a big pop. The commentators point out it’s champion versus champion in the ring now.

The two lock up and Moose over-powers Hendry. Hannifan points out that Hendry has been dealing with shoulder and arm injury issues, and trying to fight through them for the past several weeks. Williams laughs on commentary, questioning if Hendry will even make it to Sunday.

Hendry tries fighting back with Moose, looking for a suplex, but his shoulder won’t allow it. Moose hits a big kick, but seconds later, Hendry fights back and this time, is successful in hoisting up the big man for a suplex. He tags in Elijah, who walks the ropes and leaps into a tornado DDT.

Myers quickly tags in and Elijah boots him in the gut, grabs his hand and walks the top-rope once again. This time, however, JDC hops on the ring apron and shakes the ropes, leading to Myers pulling Elijah down the hard way. Myers takes over on offense from there.

On that note, the show shifts gears and heads into a mid-match commercial break as the action continues with The System building on what is turning into a comfortable offensive lead. The show returns to Moose and Myers missing big shots on the floor.

Regardless, The System duo maintain control of the offense in the actual match, keeping Elijah isolated on their side of the ring and dominating the action with frequent tags, keeping a fresh man on him at all times. Elijah eventually makes the much-needed hot tag to Hendry, and the crowd roars.

Hendry hits the ring with a ton of energy, taking it to Moose and Myers. He beats Myers down as the legal man and then hits a pop-up powerbomb before tagging Elijah back in. Elijah hits his tombstone piledriver-finisher and covers Myers for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Frankie Kazarian hits the ring out of nowhere and begins beating down Elijah and Hendry from behind. Trick Williams, who will team with Kazarian against Hendry and Elijah at TNA Under Siege tomorrow night, is enjoying what he’s seeing.

As Kazarian is working over Hendry in the corner of the ring, he is hit by Elijah out of nowhere with a massive guitar shot to the dome. The guitar explodes into 1,000 tiny toothpicks as Kazarian is laid out in the ring.

At ringside on the floor, we see Trick Williams stand up from his seat at commentary as Hendry and Elijah celebrate. He stares and glares at them as they do the dramatic Joe Hendry soap opera-turn at the conclusion of Hendry’s theme. That’s how this week’s show ends. Thanks for joining us!

Match Result: Joe Hendry & Elijah defeat Moose & Brian Myers

A triple threat match between Je’Von Evans, Ashante Adonis, and WWE ID wrestler Sean Legacy is also part of tonight’s lineup. **********

Among those arriving to the sound stage at the Performance Center in Orlando is NXT North American Champ Ricky Saints. He saunters into the sound stage down the aisle. Saints is there for guest commentary, alongside the regular commentators Vic Joseph, Booker T, and Corey Graves.

Ring announcer Mike Rome introduces the three wrestlers in the opening match.

Sean Legacy defeated Ashante “Thee” Adonis and Je’Von Evans in a triple threat match

In an upset, Legacy won a thrilling opener. Adonis dropped the fall. Evans was able to save face after an Ethan Page run in at ringside. Page attacked Saints, and a bunch of security tried to pull them apart. Evans sailed over the top rope to dive on the group at ringside.

Meanwhile, Adonis missed a splash off the top. Legacy capitalizes and executes his “Shambles” finisher on Adonis. One. Two. Three. Legacy wins. The match was good, and it includes some great near falls.

Page and Adonis continue to brawl at ringside after the match is over.

NXT General Manager Ava is in her office with Stevie Turner and Robert Stone. Ava sends the two to find Page, as Ava is apparently upset about the brawl at ringside.

Ava then turns to WWE LFG winners Jasper Troy and Tyra Mae Steele, as they have signed their NXT contracts. Troy vows to make an impact.

Jordynne Grace is a subject of a video package hyping her match against NXT Women’s Champ Stephanie Vaquer this weekend.

Meanwhile, Vaquer is backstage talking with Lola Vice. Vaquer leaves and in walks Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Jacy Jayne) to insult Vice. Clearly tension within Fatal Influence, as Jayne dares Henley to have a match with Vice after Henley snipes at Jayne.

Out comes Trick Williams for a live performance, but first he insults Joe Hendry’s mother. That is definitely a heel move. William raps about “never backing down to an average Joe.”

After the rap song is over, Hendry is seen strumming his guitar backstage.

Josh Briggs is interviewed by Kelly Kincaid. Briggs says things are not as fun without his friend Yoshiki Inamura. Briggs dedicates the next match to him.

The entrance of The Culling takes the show into a commercial break. The next match begins during picture-in-picture. The bout was joined in progress when it returns from the break.

Shawn Spears (with The Culling) defeated Josh Briggs

Spears pinned Briggs after outside interference from The Culling. The referee is distracted by Brooks Jensen, who is Briggs former tag team partner. Niko Vance tries to attack Briggs, but Vance is thwarted and send crashing into the ring steps. Izzi Dame then kicks Briggs in the head, and Spears uses a small package to score a pinfall.

Jensen and Vance jump Briggs after the match in a post-match attack. NXT Tag Team Champions Hank & Tank run down for a save when they rescue Briggs. This would seem to set up a six-man tag team match.

Kelani Jordan has word backstage with Zaria and Sol Ruca.

Andre Chase is joined backstage by Uriah Conner and Kale Dixon. The new Chase U then heads towards gorilla.

Thea Hail, with a bandage over her eye, confronts Tatum Paxley in a backstage skit. Hail is trying to empathize with Paxley when Jaida Parker ambushes Hail. Parker taunts Paxley and calls her stupid.

OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price) defeated Chase U (Uriah Connors & Kale Dixon with Andre Chase)

While Chase U was able to shine at a times, OTM won in dominant fashion. OTM execute their finisher and Price scores the pinfall.

Up next is a face-to-face between NXT Champion Oba Femi and his challenger at Battleground, Myles Borne.

Borne is well dressed in a nice suit, and Femi is also dressed nicely in business casual with his title belt over his shoulder.

Femi ponders if Borne is brave or stupid, or possibly both. Borne is now number one contender and that is admirable, but Femi says it is also misleading. This is a cruel world, but good things do not always happen to good people. Femi knows in his heart that Borne is a good person, but this is not a Disney movie. Borne does not get a happy ending or a dream come dream.

Femi says Borne’s dream will die this Sunday. The dream was his big wins the last two weeks, but the dream is over. Soon Borne will understand he is “standing in the ring with the ruler, destroyer, the bringer of war.” Femi vows to me merciless and relentless. Borne’s fate will end in destruction at the hands of Femi.

Borne calmly responds to Femi with a helluva promo. Borne might be in the ring by himself, but he is not alone. Borne says he was No Quarter Catch Crew to help him train night and day. They are not the only one that have his back, as Borne insists he is carrying with him an entire community.

Borne says every kid who fills different, or every parent who worries their child will not fit in. Borne is going to make a statement, so he dares Femi to underestimate him. Doctors and nurses underestimated him. His opponents in amateur wrestling underestimated him. Borne says even “some coaches in my NXT tryout underestimated me.” But he proved them all wrong.

Borne says Battleground will be the toughest match of his career, but his whole life has been a battle. Borne agrees this is not a Disney movie, but “every ruler falls.” Borne might be hard of hearing, but “they are all going to hear the one-two-three loud and clear.”

After such a great promo by Borne, there is suddenly a run-in by Jasper Troy. Femi is attacked and slammed by Troy, but Borne runs down to make a save as Troy flees. Femi then have a standoff. Great segment aside from the errant run-in.

North American Champ Ricky Saints and Ethan Page are shouting at each other in Ava’s office. Ava also yells at them between all of the other yelling. Saints wants a match but Page will not grant him one, until Saints offers a title match. Then Page is interested. More yelling and Ava finally lays down the law. She books a title match between the two for next Tuesday.

Tony D’Angelo is focus of a video package, where he tells his perspective on his feud with Stacks.

Lola Vice defeated Fallon Henley (with Jacy Jayne)

Vice pinned Henley after Henley collided with Jayne. The match goes through a commercial break. Jayne was coaching Henley from ringside during the match. Jayne jumps on the apron at one point to argue with Vice, and Henley collides into Jayne. Vice then deliver her signature backhand elbow, and Vice scores a pinfall. Henley and Jayne argue after the match.

NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer is the focus of video package. Vaquer sits down with Kelly Kincaid for an interview that is mixed with photos and clips. Vaquer tells her story in both English and Spanish. That leads into hype for her title match on Sunday against challenger Jordynne Grace.

DarkState is the focus of a vignette where they introduce each other, and each one cuts a promo.

Kelani Jordan defeated Zaria (with NXT North American Champion Zaria)

Jordan pinned Zaria after “miscommunication” between Zaria and Ruca. In winning, Jordan earns a title shot against Ruca.

The match goes through a commercial break, and it was pretty good as they return from the break. Ruca catches Zaria in a trust fall of sorts, and they are talking at ringside when Jordan does a baseball slide to dropkick Ruca into Zaria. Moments later with Ruca on the apron, Zaria inadvertently spears Ruca. Jordan then rolls up Zaria with a schoolboy for the pinfall.

TNA Champion Joe Hendry is headed to the ring with his guitar for a live concert in the main event slot.

After the final commercial break of the show, Hendry is seated in the ring. The mat is covered in a red carpet. Hendry has some snide remarks about Trick Williams’ musical performance earlier tonight. Hendry then dedicates the next song to his challenger at Battleground — Trick Williams.

Hendry then sings a song about Trick while playing a guitar. In the song, Hendry references old footage of Trick in a haunted house with Carmelo Hayes, and the footage is spliced into the musical performance.

Henry sings and repeats a chorus:

“Whoop that Trick
Whoop that trick
Everybody else said ‘Melo’s bitch
‘”

Out comes Trick to interrupt the song. Some chants of “whoop that trick” from the live studio audience were drowned out by louder chants of “Mel’os bitch” from the crowd towards Trick. That hook on the song worked like a charm.

Trick says chant if you want to, but he heard someone say “Average Joe” to Hendry. Trick hits Hendry with a cheap shot, and Trick boots Hendry with a high kick. Hendry measures for his running knee strike, but Hendry grabs a gimmicked guitar that just happens to be in the ring (not Hendry’s good guitar he played during the concert).

Hendry then hits Trick in the knee with the gimmicked guitar. Hendry then choke slams Trick with a “standing ovation” and sings one last refrain. Hendry then poses with the TNA title over a fallen Trick.

Joe Hendry and Trick Williams concerts set for next WWE NXT

The build to WWE NXT Battleground continues on next week’s WWE NXT TV episode featuring a pair of musical performances.

Before they lock horns for the TNA Championship at Battleground, TNA Champion Joe Hendry and his challenger Trick WIlliams will perform on next week’s NXT. Hendry will hold a concert, while Williams will stage a rap performance.

Three matches are also on tap for the May 20 WWE NXT, the go-home show for Battleground.

Kelani Jordan and Zaria will go one-on-one next week, with Jordan likely to earn a Women’s North American title shot against Sol Ruca with a victory.

Je’Von Evans, Sean Legacy, and Ashante Adonis will square off in a triple threat match, with that winner likely to earn a future NXT North American title shot against Ricky Saints.

Uriah Connors and Kale Dixon of Chase U will also face the returning OTM’s Bronco Nima and Lucien Price in tag team action on the May 20 episode.

The WWE NXT Battleground go-home show lineup is listed below:

WWE NXT, Tuesday, May 20 —

  • Joe Hendry concert, Trick Williams rap performance
  • Kelani Jordan vs. Zaria
  • Je’Von Evans vs. Sean Legacy vs. Ashante Adonis
  • Chase U (Uriah Connors and Kale Dixon) vs. OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price)

WWE NXT live results: Joe Hendry-Trick Williams contract signing

WWE NXT tonight continues on the road to its next PLE, which is Battleground on May 25.

Joe Hendry and Trick Williams are set to clash for the TNA World Championship at Battleground. Both champion and challenger meet tonight on NXT for a contract signing.

Henry and Williams are also scheduled to compete in a tag match at TNA Under Siege on May 23 where Hendry & Elijah (the former Elias) take on Williams & Frankie Kazarian.

Myles Borne of No Quarter Catch Crew is the next challenger for NXT Champion Oba Femi. Tonight, Femi will face No Quarter Catch Crew’s Charlie Dempsey in non-title action.

Plus, Tony D’Angelo vs. Wes Lee is official for tonight.

Join us for live coverage starting at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

**********

Opening the show is Myles Borne and No Quarter Catch Crew. Borne enters the sound stage at the Performance Center for an in-ring promo. Borne is flanked by Charlie Dempsey, Tavion Heights and Wren Sinclair.

Borne is morphing from a development wrestler into a superstar before our very eyes. Borne first talks about shocking the world by winning the battle royal last week, thus earning a title shot at the NXT Championship.

Borne shifts his monologue to address something “we have been dancing around for awhile now.” Borne says he is partially deaf, which affects the way he talks. Last week, Borne heard the crowd so crazy when he won the battle royal. Borne does not “want be to known as the deaf kid.” He wants to be judges for his “ability, not his disability.”

“That is what everyone with a disability wants to be judged by,” says Borne.

Borne goes on to admit he is the underdog at Battleground against Oba Femi for the NXT title.

“I am facing a dominant champion, but I am fighting for all the kids out there who are struggling, fighting their own fight,” says Borne. “To prove that you too can achieve success.”

Borne vows to shock the world again at Battleground against Femi. Borne says he might be hard of hearing, but he will hear is name announced as the new NXT champion.

Ethan Page interrupts the promo, since no monologue in NXT can hardly go uninterrupted. Page says “enough with all the sentimental crap” as Page also accuses Borne of “pandering to these basic civilians.”

Page gets in the ring saying Borne won the battle royal on a fluke. Page then offers to talk slow so Borne can read his lips, while Page tells Borne he cannot beat Femi. Page says he is not on Femi’s level. Page then challenges Borne to put the number one contender status on the line in match tonight.

Charlie Dempsey chimes in as he tries convincing Borne to accept the challenge from Page, and Borne agrees to the match. Out comes NXT General Manager Ava, who makes the match official for tonight. She says that match is scheduled for later, as Dempsey’s match against Femi is scheduled for right now.

NXT Champion Oba Femi defeated Charlie Dempsey (with No Quarter Catch Crew) in a non-title match

Femi pinned Dempsey with Fall From Grace. The match itself begins just before the show cuts to its first commercial break. They wrestle through picture-in-picture.

Dempsey is getting ragdolled until he targets an arm. He works Femi’s arm, and Dempsey gets a near fall after a German suplex. Dempsey then applies a short arm scissors, but Femi powers out with a feat of strength.

Comeback by Femi as he mows down Dempsey with a series of uppercuts. Femi tosses Dempsey around the ring before delivering the Fall From Grace (pop-up powerbomb). Femi then covers Dempsey for a pinfall.

Backstage in a skit, Karmen Pertrovic and Thea Heal are walking and talking when they come across a distraught Tatum Paxley. She is freaking out about Gigi Dolan leaving her, although that name is never mentioned. Paxley warns the new friends they will only be betrayed.

Ethan Page is confronted backstage by NXT North American Champion Ricky Saints. Page is warming up for his match later on, and Saints remarks that Page loves “raining on people’s parade.” Page admits to getting pleasure in stealing people’s moment. Page then insults Saints before leaving.

Wes Lee (with Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe) defeated Tony D’Angelo

Lee pinned D’Angelo, after “The Don” was distracted by a pre-taped video from Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo.

The match goes through a commercial break. Just before cutting away to picture-in-picture, Lee takes a hip toss over the ropes into the waiting arms of Dupont and Igwe. “The Don” then jumps off the apron with a high cross on all three.

Few rest holds during the break, as Lee sails through the ropes with a tope suicida. Lee gets in D’Angelo’s face to taunt him about Stacks. Lee screams that D’Angelo will lose The Family. That fires up D’Angelo.

On the floor, they do a spot where “The Don” clotheslines Dupont & Igwe. Lee tries to steal a pin, but “The Don” kicks out. Lee bumps and feeds for D’Angelo. Near falls for D’Angelo after a powerslam.

Lee counters D’Angelo finisher with a hurricanrana. D’Angelo then counters Lee’s finisher, as “The Don” blocks a Cardiac Kick with a spear. Lee was almost dumped on his head. At that point, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo appears on a video screen.

Stacks is at Adrianna Rizzo’s safe house. A distracted D’Angelo is then hit with a Cardiac Kick from Lee, and Lee hooks a leg while covering D’Angelo for a three count.

As Lee is announced as the winner of the match, the pre-tape with Stacks continues to play on the video screen. Stacks vows to pay Rizzo a visit. D’Angelo rushes out of the ring and exits the sound stage.

For the second consecutive week, OTM is featured in a vignette sponsored by an insurance company.

NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer is headed to the ring. Vaquer is cutting a promo in English and Spanish when she is interrupted by two members of Fatal Influence — Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne.

Henley cuts a promo on Vaquer, and Jayne chimes in with a snide remark. Tension between Jayne and Henley as they bicker.

Out comes Jordynne Grace, and she gets in the ring to confront everyone else. There is some bickering and quick promos. Not sure what this accomplished as it just ended, but it somehow sets up a tag match for tonight’s main event.

Charlie Dempsey is backstage on rubber legs. Myles Borne tells Tavion Heights and Wren Sinclair they should take Dempsey to the trainers’ room. Borne then says he will go “take care of business.”

Cameos from LFG as Undertaker is backstage with Bubba Ray Dudley. They are with Tyra Mae Steele and Zena Sterling from LFG. This leads to a confrontation with Izzi Dame, Nikkita Lyons, Lola Vice and Lash Legend.

Tony D’Angelo orders a camera operator to follow him as they get into a SUV. They speed off, presumably heading to save Rizzo.

Myles Borne defeated Ethan Page in a number one contender’s match

Borne pinned Page clean to retain his status as number one contender.

They wrestle a methodical match through a commercial break, and they are given plenty of time. Borne not only looks similar to Randy Orton, they have the most Randy Orton kind of match they can have without Randy Orton himself.

As they go home, Page counters a Olympic slam (which they established earlier in the match as one of Borne’s big moves). Borne in turn counters Page’s finisher, and Borne delivers a standing dropkick. Borne then flips over to cradle Page’s leg for the deciding pinfall.

In a promo posted to social media, Sean Legacy politely challenges Je’Von Evans to a singles match.

Evans and Ashante “Thee” Adonis then have words in a locker room skit. Ricky Saints overhears Adonis say he can “smoke” Evans, and Saints offers to grant the winner a North American title match at Battleground. That match between Evans and Adonis is later made official for next Tuesday.

Tony D’Angelo arrives at the safe house, and he gets out of the SUV along with the camera operator. “The Don” tells the driver to go get the rest of the boys. D’Angelo is approaching the house when he is jumped by Stacks. “The Don” is hit in the legs with a crowbar, and Stacks pummels him. Stacks vows to finish the D’Angelo family for good at Battleground.

Thea Hail defeated Tatum Paxley via disqualification

Paxley is disqualified for a blatant eye poke. Hail had Paxley locked in an armbar when Paxley goes for an eye poke. The referee stops the match, but a crazed Paxley keeps going for the eye. Paxley is pulled off of Hail by a group of referees.

Kelani Jordan and Zaria argue in a locker room skit, which sets up a return match between them for next Tuesday. Sol Ruca offers the winner a shot at the NXT Women’s North American Championship in a title match at Battleground.

TNA Champion Joe Hendry and Trick Williams meet with Ava in a conference room for a contract signing which is very tame for a contract signing gimmick in WWE. Ava first puts over the history and importance of the TNA Championship.

They exchange words and both stand up, presumably to fight. Ava threatens to call security if they do not sit down. They sit, and they proceed to cut promos on each other.

Hendry cuts a heckuva promo putting over TNA, while Trick proclaims himself “Hollywood”. Trick vows to the Hendry’s fame, his TNA title and his brand. Trick then signs the contract. Hendry cuts a final promo on Trick, and Hendry signs the contract.

Josh Briggs and Shawn Spears set up a singles match between them in a locker room skit. Briggs is talking with NXT Tag Team Champions Hank & Tank when Briggs is confronted by Spears.

In another skit, Chase U’s Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors convince Ava they need booked in a tag match. Ava agrees, and she books them in their NXT debut tag match against OTM.

Along with the matches set up for next Tuesday is a live concert from Joe Hendry, along with a rap performance by Trick Williams.

NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer & Jordynne Grace defeated Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Jacy Jayne)

Grace pinned Jayne after Beast Mode. While good in the ring, the tag bout was not exactly a captivating main event in storyline. They set it up with a convoluted angle earlier on the show, but the wrestlers made do with what they had, and they worked hard to have a good match.

Before the final commercial break of the show, the heels are in control after a few high spots. Jayne does a somersault senton off the apron. Henley follows up with a springboard off the middle rope into a high cross on the floor.

The heels work over Vaquer throughout the break, building heat as the show returns from picture-in-picture. Hot tag to Grace, and cleans house. They build to a spot where Grace takes a bullet for Vaquer, when the heels go for a high/low combo on the champ. Grace takes stereo knee strikes, but she kicks out for a near fall.

Vaquer is down as she sells on the floor. Meanwhile, Grace is being double-teamed in the ring. Grace make her own save, and Grace fights off both heels. Beast Mode finisher on Jayne, and Grace covers her for a pinfall.

Cut away to backstage where Ethan Page has apparently ambushed Ricky Saints. Cut back to the sound stage as Grace and Vaquer pose.

Next week is the go-home show ahead of Battleground.

Four TNA champions confirmed for AAA Triplemania Regia

Four TNA stars have officially been confirmed for an upcoming Lucha Libre AAA event.

Joe Hendry, Moose, and Nic & Ryan Nemeth are heading to Mexico next month for Triplemania Regia. The show is being held at Arena Monterrey on Sunday, June 15 and is the first major AAA event in Mexico since it was announced that the company is being purchased by WWE.

The matches Hendry, Moose, and The Nemeths will be competing in have not been announced yet. Their participation in Triplemania Regia was announced by Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown.

“We’re thrilled to welcome these four incredible TNA stars to AAA,” Dorian Roldan, general manager of AAA, told The Takedown. “This collaboration represents the best of both worlds — the passion and tradition of Lucha Libre, and the global momentum of TNA. Our fans are in for something truly special.”

Hendry, Moose, and The Nemeths are all currently champions in TNA. Hendry holds the TNA World Championship, Moose is the X-Division Champion, and Nic & Ryan Nemeth are the TNA Tag Team Champions. Nic Nemeth was a former World Champion for WWE as Dolph Ziggler.

WWE’s Angelo and Berto (Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo) will also be competing at Triplemania Regia.

The acquisition of AAA is expected to become official in Q3 of this year with WWE taking majority control of the promotion (51 percent) and Mexican sports and entertainment company Fillip owning 49 percent. Before Triplemania Regia, a Worlds Collide show will take place in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 7 with wrestlers from WWE, NXT, and AAA.

Joe Hendry: I ‘need to have a place’ to live in United States

With his popularity growing and his schedule getting busier, Joe Hendry is thinking about finding a place to live in the United States.

Hendry told Chris Van Vliet on a new episode of Insight that the last time he was home in Scotland was three or four weeks ago — and he was only there for one day. Hendry’s TNA and NXT schedule has made it so he doesn’t know when he’ll be home next

“Certainly,” Hendry responded when asked if he’s thought about finding somewhere to live in the U.S. “I was kind of thinking about it last year as well, but I think we’re at the point now where, like I said, I’ve been home for one full day, the time before I was home for two full days. I love Scotland. I love it. But I need to have a place here.”

Hendry said his travel days from Scotland to the U.S. can be as long as 21-28 hours. He views the travel time as a price he’s willing to pay to live his dream, and going back to Scotland is something Hendry needs to do from time to time to feel centered.

This year has seen Hendry win the TNA World Championship, compete at the WWE Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, and make appearances for NXT. He’s set to defend his TNA World Championship against Trick Williams at NXT Battleground later this month.

Hendry is in his contract year with TNA Wrestling, leading to speculation that he could join WWE full-time when his TNA contract is up. Paul “Triple H” Levesque praised Hendry after WrestleMania 41 and said he thinks there are more WrestleManias in Hendry’s future.

The 37-year-old Hendry told Van Vliet that he isn’t thinking about what’s going to happen next because he’s so focused on everything he has going on right now. At the moment, he is the TNA World Champion and his job is to bring as many fans to TNA as possible.

TNA Impact live results: WWE NXT’s Trick Williams appears, dog collar match

The feud between TNA World Champion Joe Hendry and former WWE NXT Champion Trick Williams will continue on tonight’s Impact from Irvine, California.

Williams will open the show as his challenge of Hendry at NXT Battleground and a tag team match at TNA Under Siege are both approaching.

The TNA International Championship will be on the line in a dog collar match as Steve Maclin defends against bitter rival Eric Young.

Victoria Crawford, the former Alicia Fox, will be in action in her promotional debut. She is set to challenge Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich at Under Siege.

After losing to Mike Santana at Rebellion, Mustafa Ali will look to rebound against Trey Miguel.

Former TNA Tag Team Champions The Hardys will be on hand to share some thoughts about new champions The Nemeth brothers.

The show is rounded out by Lei Ying Lee against former Knockouts Champion Rosemary, and the Aztec Warriors (Laredo & Octagon Jr.) against Jason Hotch & John Skyler of the Great Hands.

Trick Williams, Joe Hendry Brawl

Tom Hannifan welcomes us the viewing audience to Irvine, CA. The camera shot settles into the building, where the drumroll immediately hits to start the entrance tune for Trick Williams. Fans break out into a “Whoop That Trick!” chant as the WWE NXT Superstar makes his way to the ring.

As Williams settles inside the squared circle, Hannifan narrates video footage from last week’s Impact and the last two weeks of WWE NXT, with Williams and TNA World Champion Joe Hendry setting up their title tilt at WWE NXT Battleground 2025.

Back live, Trick-Willy drones on about being a ladies man as the Irvine crowd in attendance gives him the “What?” treatment. He boasts being the local NXT hero that took out Joe Hendry. He tells the fans they can boo him all they want to. He says Hendry tried to come to NXT to embarrass him.

He says he did the same to him in TNA. He points to a fan in the crowd and does the New Jack City line. “Sit yo five-dolla ass down before I make change!” He tells Hendry he wants to be liked. Trick-Willy wants to be respected. He tells Hendry he’s gonna take him out, take all his fans and then take his brand.

Williams finishes, “Let’s talk about it!” Well, say his name, and he appears. The viral smash hit “I Believe in Joe Hendry” hits and out comes the TNA World Champion with a very serious look in his face. A bunch of security guards stop him, but he fights past them and hits the ring.

As soon as he hits the ring, Williams is ready for him, and the slugfest is on. The two trade shots back-and-forth as security rushes to the ring to break them up. Once they do, fans chant, “Let them fight! Let them fight!”

Hendry breaks free and the fight is on again. Security breaks it up again. Hendry hits his Standing Ovation finisher on one of the security guards. Hendry stares down Trick-Willy as security leads him to the back. Hendry’s theme hits again to wrap up the eventful opener.

Rosemary vs. Lei Ying Lee

The show returns from the first commercial break of the evening to Robert Stone backstage with Victoria Crawford. He talks about how a Dog Collar match is not something he approves of, and can’t see upper-management liking it, either. He tells Crawford to focus on her debut later in the show.

Back inside the Impact Zone, the lights go down and out comes Rosemary for the first match of the evening. Joining Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt on special guest commentary for this one is Xia Brookside. They talk to her about her ongoing issues with Rosemary.

Lei Ying Lee makes her way to the ring next. She settles inside and the bell sounds to get things officially off-and-running. Rosemary quickly settles into the early offensive lead. Rosemary does her upside down tangle spot in the ropes on Lee.

On the ropes, Lee lands a kick that gets her back in the fight. As things continue, Brookside gets involved from ringside and stops Rosemary from using brass knuckles. Lee follows up with her Thunder Struck finisher for the pin and the victory.

Match Result: Lei Ying Lee defeats Rosemary

Backstage: Mike Santana, Trick Williams, Sami Callihan & First Class

Backstage, Mike Santana is seen walking the halls when he passes Trick Williams. The two stop and glare at each other and continue on their respective paths. Santana approaches Sami Callihan, seated on some stairs with John Goblikon.

As they talk with respect for each other, First Class duo AJ Francis and KC Navarro come into the picture, and end up trying to offer Callihan a spot in First Class. Obviously Callihan wasn’t interested. The show heads into another commercial break.

The Great Hands (John Skyler & Jason Hotch) vs. Aztec Warriors (Octagon Jr. & Laredo Kid)

The show returns to an Ash By Elegance Make-over cinema-style segment without any words, just a lot of giddy behavior and slow-motion shots with camera affects.

Back inside the Impact Zone, The Great Hands duo of John Skyler and Jason Hotch make their way to the ring, cutting a promo about how Mustafa Ali is changing and how the world will soon feel it. They settle in the ring.

After that, the theme for their opposition hits and out comes The Aztec Warriors team of Octagon Jr. and Laredo Kid. The Great Hands start off strong, however The Aztec Warriors fire up on offense and hit some big high-flying moves en route to the victory.

Once the match wraps up, Mustafa Ali hits the ring while The Aztec Warriors are celebrating their victory. An absolutely enraged Ali proceeds to violently beat down Octagon Jr. and Laredo Kid, as even Tasha Steelz and The Great Hands try and stop him. The Rascalz eventually run down to make the save.

Match Result: The Aztec Warriors defeat The Great Hands

Mustafa Ali vs. Trey Miguel

The show heads to a commercial break after The Rascalz make the save. When the show returns, Mustafa Ali and Trey Miguel are both in the ring and ready for their scheduled one-on-one match. The bell sounds to get things started.

Miguel goes right at Ali, blasting him with chops in the corner. Ali easily fights back and takes over, continuing to showcase his new more violent style. He hits a big powerbomb to Miguel and stomps away at him.

Miguel gets in some kicks, but ends up being planted into the floor by a draping DDT off the ring apron by Ali. Back in the ring, Miguel comes alive and starts fighting back. He knocks Ali out to the floor and hits a big dive.

He heads to the top-rope and lands a flying meteora for a close two-count. Ali fights back, but eats a tornado DDT from Miguel on the floor. Ali recovers back in the ring, as Miguel is beat down by The Great Hands behind the referee’s back on the floor. Ali hits his finisher after that for the win.

Match Result: Mustafa Ali defeats Trey Miguel

Indi Hartwell Wants To Be THE Knockout

When the show returns from another commercial break, an elaborate Indi Hartwell vignette airs, featuring a lot of photos of her wrestling fandom as a child and her showing off old TNA replica title belts and DVDs she’s had for years. She talks about her goal of becoming not a Knockout, but The Knockout.

The Hardys Confronted By The Nemeth Brothers

Inside the Impact Zone, the iconic sounds of The Hardys entrance theme song hits and out comes the legendary brother duo of Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy. They settle in the ring and Matt takes to the microphone first.

Matt talks about the connection they have always had with the fans, whom they call The Die-Hardy’s. He then mentions how they lost the tag-team titles at TNA Rebellion, and haven’t had a good past few weeks, either.

Matt vows that they will do what they have always done and fight, scratch and claw their way back to once again becoming TNA World Tag-Team Champions. Jeff Hardy takes the mic and reiterates that fact, but with quick impromptu song.

As they finish up, the theme for The Nemeth Brothers hits and out comes the reigning TNA World Tag-Team Champions Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth. Ryan starts off, mocking The Hardys. “That was so touching!” He then taunts them for blowing it at TNA Rebellion.

“But don’t worry guys, because my big brotherrrrr and I are gonna take the tag-team division to new heights.” The crowd boos. Nic grabs the mic, “Shut up, we’re talking.” They boo louder. Nic says they have a plane to catch, so he’s gonna continue, he doesn’t care.

The Nemeths tell The Hardys that this is their place now. “We run TNA!” Ryan follows up and claims the two are the single greatest brother tag-team of all-time. Nic says he’s feeling generous. He says at TNA Under Siege on May 23 in Canada, The Hardys can have their rematch.

Ryan says they can make it even better. They can make it a ladder match. The Nemeths then bring up how they forgot Jeff Hardy actually can’t travel into Canada. They say never mind and attempt to walk off, but are stopped by Santino Marella’s theme hits.

The TNA Director of Authority comes out and says he’s not sure what type of shenanigans they think they’re up to. He says Jeff can’t travel to Canada, so it’s gonna be like this. Next week it’ll be Jeff Hardy vs. Nic Nemeth one-on-one.

At TNA Under Siege it’ll be The Nemeths vs. Matt and a partner of his choosing for the tag-team title tilt. Jeff says he’ll see Nic next week. The commentators hype up who Matt will pick as his mystery partner for TNA Under Siege.

Victoria Crawford vs. Brittnie Brooks

When the show returns from a commercial break, the theme for Victoria Crawford hits and out comes the former WWE Superstar known as Alicia Fox. On special guest commentary for this one is Robert Stone.

Already in the ring is Crawford’s scheduled opponent, Brittnie Brooks. The bell sounds and things get officially off-and-running. Crawford immediately starts gobbling up Brooks.

She decks her straight out of the gate and then hits a back suplex into a bridge for a two-count. Crawford goes to work on her in the corner, but Brooks escapes. Brooks goes for a splash, but Crawford avoids it and hits an Axe Kick for the win.

Underwhelming to say the least. Once the match wraps up, Crawford gets on the microphone and talks trash until TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich comes out to confront her. They brawl and Tessa Blanchard joins the mix.

Santino Marella comes back out and announces that next week it will be Tessa Blanchard & Victoria Crawford against Masha Slamovich and a partner of her choosing. Robert Stone says he’ll pick for them. It will be WWE NXT Superstar Nikkita Lyons. The show heads into another break.

Match Result: Victoria Crawford defeats Brittnie Brooks

TNA International Championship (Dog Collar Match)
Steve Maclin (c) vs. Eric Young

It’s main event time!

When the show returns, Arianna Grace and Santino Marella are shown backstage, with Arianna whining to Victoria Crawford and Robert Stone about how they’re ruining everything around here. Tessa Blanchard comes up and verbally tears into Arianna and leaves.

Back inside the Impact Zone, the matches for next week’s show are announced (see below), and then the pre-match ring entrances and in-ring introductions take place for the scheduled main event of the evening.

The TNA International Championship will be on-the-line, as Steve Maclin defends against former friend turned rival Eric Young, in a Dog Collar match. Before the bell, the show heads into a quick pre-match commercial break.

When the show returns, Maclin and Young are shown finally strapped to separate dog collars with a big chain. Young does the big dramatic neck-pull like Roddy Piper vs. Greg Valentine at Starrcade many moons ago.

Matt Cardona is shown on special guest commentary alongside Hannifan and Rehwoldt for this match, as he will be in a four-way TNA International Championship Eliminator bout next week, and could very well be facing off against the winner of this one.

Young takes the early offensive lead over Maclin, and even uses the chain very early into the match, raking it into his forehead and near his eyes while standing on the middle rope. Maclin is already badly busted open and profusely bleeding all over the place. Bad.

Maclin rolls his bloody self to the floor, as Cardona talks on commentary about how bloody things have gotten already. Elijah is shown watching this unfold on a monitor backstage. Young whips an incredibly bloody Maclin with the chain.

Cardona comments about how this is too bloody and violent for him, and he’s “The Death Match King.” Cardona is choked with the chain near the ring post and the blood squirts out even more. The Northern Armory wipe some of the blood from Maclin onto each other’s own faces. Disgusting.

Young rolls a blood-soaked Maclin back into the ring, and has a brief talk with The Northern Armory at ringside. As he does, Maclin recovers and hits a running dive through the ropes to take out all three guys. Young takes Maclin over the rope throat-first.

The show heads into a mid-match commercial break as the overwhelmingly bloody action continues in this high stakes Dog Collar match for the TNA International Championship. When the show returns, Maclin begins fighting back.

The champ, with blood still heavily flowing from his face, fights off Judas Icarus and Travis Williams, as they try to interfere again. He hangs one upside down in the corner while the other is seated, and hits a double spear in the corner. Maclin hits the K.I.A. on Young for the win to retain. That’s how this week’s show goes off the air.

Match Result: Steve Maclin defeats Eric Young to retain the TNA International Championship

Randy Orton details how Joe Hendry was chosen as WWE WrestleMania opponent

In an interview with Billboard, Randy Orton detailed how his WWE WrestleMania 41 match against Joe Hendry came to be.

Orton vs. Kevin Owens was originally scheduled for the event and had even been officially announced by WWE, but plans had to change with Owens having a neck injury requiring surgery. With that grudge match off the books, WWE pivoted to something else entirely with Orton defeating Hendry — the TNA World Champion — in a quick three-minute bout.

This was Orton’s 20th WrestleMania, and he told Billboard that was an important milestone for him. He confirmed that he pushed for Hendry to be his opponent once a replacement was needed. Orton said a couple of people in WWE were unsure about the idea, but he was able to talk them into it.

“It kind of came down to, ‘OK. We need to get Orton an opponent. Who’s it gonna be?’ And there was a very short list of guys on our own roster, but we had some new guys coming in — and it was one of those things where I needed to win, but considering we knew where I was going to be going thinking about Backlash, we needed me to look good coming out of Mania,” Orton said. “It couldn’t be one of our new guys, because when we debut a new talent into the show [we couldn’t] have him start with a loss.

“So we put our heads together and it was actually my idea [for it to be] Joe Hendry. I kept pushing for it, and a couple people were unsure, but I was able to talk everybody into it. I’m really glad that they went with him. It was perfect. It was different from anything else on the card. It was a legitimate surprise, and we were able to keep it a surprise for the most part. We got that really cool, ‘Holy s–t’ moment when his music hit, and it was great. He was great. It was actually a stress-free fun Mania for me, because I didn’t have this crazy 30 minutes balls-to-the-walls match with all this high-risk s–t. I had this cool little segment with Joe, and we didn’t have to do much to have fun out there. So I was really able to enjoy the week and just soak it all up.”

Rusev and Aleister Black were two of the in-house options that WWE had making their returns. Both returned to WWE programming after WrestleMania.

Hendry is proud of the match he had with Orton and thinks it went exactly how it should have gone. A TNA World Championship defense will take place at NXT Battleground on Sunday, May 25 with Hendry putting his title on the line against Trick Williams.

At WWE Backlash this Saturday, Orton will renew his rivalry with John Cena when he challenges Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship. It will likely be their last time ever facing each other with Cena set to retire from the ring in December 2025.

Orton told Billboard that he hopes his hometown crowd in St. Louis brings the energy for this different dynamic of him being the babyface and Cena being the heel.

“Now, it has the potential to be completely opposite of how it used to be, and the pressure is on me as the good guy,” he said. “But I think being in the hometown [of St. Louis], him being the bad guy, it’s just really weird. There’s no way to call it — and I think the match itself will be good, but I think the energy in that arena is going to cause it to be possibly very good. It’s completely up to the energy of that St. Louis crowd. So I’m hoping they’re all ready to go.”

TNA title bout contract signing set for next WWE NXT

The TNA World Championship will be on the line at WWE NXT Battleground, with the contract signing for the bout set for next week’s WWE NXT.

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry will defend his title against Trick Williams at Battleground, with the contract signing to make the match official taking place on the Tuesday, May 13 WWE NXT episode. Hendry and Williams have been feuding across both TNA and NXT programming in recent weeks, wth NXT GM Ava making their Battleground bout official on this week’s show.

NXT Champion Oba Femi will be in action on next week’s episode in a non-title bout against Charlie Dempsey. Dempsey’s No Quarter Catch Crew stablemate Myles Borne won a number one contender’s battle royal on Tuesday’s episode to earn a title shot at Femi at Battleground, and Dempsey attempted to claim the title shot as his own in a backstage segment with Borne and Femi. His plan backfired, as Borne retained his shot, while Dempsey backed himself into a one-on-one match with Femi on next week’s WWE NXT.

Wes Lee will go one-on-one with Tony D’Angelo in another match announced for next week’s episode.

WWE NXT, Tuesday, May 13 —

  • TNA Championship contract signing for Battleground featuring TNA Champion Joe Hendry and challenger Trick Williams
  • Oba Femi vs. Charlie Dempsey
  • Wes Lee vs. Tony D’Angelo

The Hardys and Joe Hendry expected at AAA Triplemania Regia

TNA stars The Hardys and Joe Hendry are expected to be announced for AAA Triplemania Regia.

The June 15 event in Monterrey takes place just eight days after WWE and AAA present Worlds Collide from the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on June 7. Angel and Berto were confirmed for the show yesterday, and our own Dave Meltzer is reporting that Hendry and the Hardys will also be working the event.

Meltzer said on Tuesday’s Wrestling Observer Radio:

“I don’t know if this has been announced yet, but very interesting that the other names being sent are the Hardy brothers and Joe Hendry, which tells you about the relationship with TNA and WWE.”

“Obviously, Rey Mysterio can’t go because he tore his groin and had surgery but (AAA) were hoping for Penta, Fenix, Dominik Mysterio, Chad Gable, and big stars because it’s supposed to be a big show.”

“Angel and Berto, they’re not big WWE stars, but they are, in theory, stars in Monterrey. And the other names are the Hardys and Joe Hendry, who are not big names in Mexico, although the Hardys have been to Mexico before.”

AAA Triplemania XXXIII Regia is set for Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Arena Monterrey. This will be the fifth time a Triplemania event has been held in Monterrey, a city nicknamed La Ciudad Regia or “The Regal City.” Just two days later and about 560 miles away, AEW will make its Mexican debut in collaboration with CMLL, running a show at Arena Mexico in Mexico City on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.

TNA Impact live results: The fallout from Rebellion

New signee Indi Hartwell will make her Impact debut after announcing her signing at Rebellion.

After coming out of Rebellion still X-Division Champion, Moose will put the title on the line against Zachary Wentz of the Rascalz. Wentz pinned Moose in a trios match that also took place at the PPV.

KC Navarro goes one-on-one with Leon Slater in a match coming out of Ultimate X; Mike Santana will be in action after winning his falls count anywhere match Sunday; and Jody Threat will battle Maggie Lee in another match coming out of Rebellion.

The show is rounded out by an appearance from International Champion Steve Maclin.

**********
Joe Hendry Calls Out Trick Williams

The special live episode of TNA Impact from Irvine, CA. kicks off with TNA World Champion Joe Hendry coming to the ring, as Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt welcome the viewing audience to the post-TNA Rebellion 2025 episode of the weekly program.

Hendry settles inside the squared circle to a big pop, and gets on the microphone. Hendry brings up what went down on WWE NXT earlier this week, and then proceeds to call out Trick Williams.

The WWE NXT Superstar appears on the big screen and says, “Trick Willy is NOT in the billy!” He tells Hendry someone very well may get hurt later in the evening. Hendry then says he thought Trick was better than that, noting he didn’t show up live.

He tells the fans there will be live action tonight, however, as he will join forces with The Hardys to take on Frankie Kazarian and new TNA World Tag-Team Champions The Nemeth Brothers in the main event of the evening.

Zachary Wentz Excited For His Title Shot Tonight

Backstage, The Rascalz duo of Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel appear. Wentz is fired up as he will be challenging Moose for the TNA X-Division Championship on tonight’s show. “Smoke ’em if you got ’em!” wraps things up, and the show heads into the first commercial break of the evening.

Sami Callihan & Mance Warner Talk Barbed Wire Massacre

When the show returns, Sami Callihan is backstage talking with TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella, when in walks Mance Warner and Steph De Lander. Callihan asks if Santino set him up for a parent trap ambush.

De Lander brings up having to watch what Callihan did to Warner, and said they weren’t able to work TNA Rebellion 2025 because of the brutality of the Barbed Wire Massacre match at TNA Unbreakable 2025. She says that’s messing with their money.

After some more back-and-forth comments, Callihan and Warner agree that what they went through at TNA Unbreakable 2025 in the Barbed Wire Massacre made it so they have a respect for each other. They make it quite clear they still don’t like each other, but they shake hands and agree they’re done “for now.”

Mike Santana vs. Isaiah Moore

Inside the Impact Zone, the hip-hop sounds of Mike Santana’s theme music hits and out he comes through the crowd as always for the first match of the evening. Already in the ring is his opponent, Isaiah Moore.

The bell sounds and about two minutes later it sounds again, with Santana picking up the easy, emphatic squash match victory with his Spin the Block and other trademark finishing moves. After the match, Santana gets on the microphone.

With the microphone cutting in-and-out, following the first fifteen minutes or so of the episode not airing on TNA+ at all, Santana makes the point that he respects Joe Hendry, but is now coming for him and his title.

Santana says after reaching the top of the mountain with a win over Mustafa Ali at TNA Rebellion 2025, he finds himself at the bottom of a new mountain. One that ends with him climbing it and capturing the TNA World Championship.

Match Result: Mike Santana defeated Isaiah Moore

The Northern Armory Attack Steve Maclin

TNA International Champion Steve Maclin, fresh off of his victory over Eric Young at TNA Rebellion 2025, makes his way to the ring for the next segment of the show. Before he can even reach the ring, however, he is blindsided and attacked from behind.

Travis Williams and Judas Icarus of The Northern Armory beat “Bulletproof” Maclin down. Eric Young joins in and it becomes a brutal three-on-one beat down, which once again culminates with the trio hanging and choking Maclin by a massive steel chain over the ring ropes.

The show heads to a commercial break after this. When the show returns, Maclin is in a full on rampage trying to get his hands on Young and The Northern Armory backstage. TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella makes a rematch between the two for next week’s show.

TNA X-Division Championship
Moose (c) vs. Zachary Wentz

It’s time for our second match of the evening, which features a title on-the-line, as The System’s Moose defends his TNA X-Division Championship against The Rascalz’ Zachary Wentz. Wentz makes his way out first and settles inside the squared circle accompanied by Trey Miguel.

The bad-ass entrance tune for Moose hits next and out comes the reigning, defending TNA X-Division Champion. He settles in the ring accompanied by Alisha Edwards. The bell sounds and this title tilt gets officially off-and-running.

Wentz starts off fast, as expected, but the bigger and stronger Moose slows him down and Donkey Kong’s him down to settle into the first prolonged offensive lead of the match. Wentz crashes and burns on the floor, courtesy of Moose.

The show heads into a mid-match commercial break with The Rascalz member laid out. When the show returns, Moose is dominating the action with ease. Wentz’ ribs injury is acting up and Moose is focusing on it. Wentz fights back and hits a moonsault to Moose on the floor.

Back in the ring, Wentz hits a twisting splash on the X-Division Champion for a close two-count. Moose stops Wentz dead in his tracks with a massive pop-up power bomb. He goes for the immediate follow-up pin attempt, yet somehow Wentz kicked out before the count of three.

Wentz hits two or three more major high spots for additional photo-finish near fall attempts, however ultimately in the end, interference from Alisha Edwards at ringside led to Moose finishing Wentz off for the victory to retain his TNA X-Division Championship. The show heads to another break.

Match Result: Moose defeated Zachary Wentz to retain the TNA X-Division Championship

Cody Deaner’s Farewell Address

When the show returns, Cody Deaner makes his way to the ring. He gets on the microphone and talks about how his TNA Wrestling contract expires after midnight tonight. He says if this is it for him, it’s been a dream come true.

All Deaner wanted to do since he was a kid is become a professional wrestler. The three letters under his feet in the ring are the one company that gave him the opportunity to do so. He talks about being a family man and having multiple kids.

As he continues talking, the familiar sounds of Santino Marella’s theme hits and out comes the TNA Director of Authority. He says he doesn’t have the power to renew his contract, but he did get him a match against Eddie Edwards at TNA Under Siege 2025 and if he wins, he’ll be able to stay.

Robert Stone & Victoria Crawford Make Announcements

Robert Stone’s theme hits and out he comes with Deputy Director of Authority, Victoria Crawford (Alicia Fox). He talks trash about Deaner.

He also announces Victoria vs. Masha Slamovich for the TNA Knockouts Championship at TNA Under Siege 2025. Before he leaves, Stone tells Santino he’s gonna be watching him very close. “Good luck,” he says before leaving.

The show heads into another commercial break on that note. When the show returns, Stone and Crawford are backstage with Santino, when up walks Tessa Blanchard gloating about how it’s time for someone who respects her to call the shots, like Stone.

Maggie Lee vs. Jody Threat

Back inside the Impact Zone, INSIGHT podcast host Chris Van Vliet is introduced on the broadcast. The theme for Maggie Lee hits and out she comes for the next match of the evening.

Jody Threat of Spitfire makes her way out next as her opponent. The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one. Threat is a thousand miles per minute since the opening bell, and is taking it to Lee.

Lee slows down Threat’s momentum with a back elbow and a thumb to the eye. She hits a tower cutter off the ropes in the corner for a close two-count. After kicking out, Threat starts to fight back. She rolls Lee up for a close two-count. Threat hits her finisher seconds later for the win.

When the show returns, we see Maggie Lee looking upset in the locker room, when in walks Ash By Elegance, Heather By Elegance and George Iceman. They ask her what happened out there. She says she knows. They tell her the best thing to do now is to get a makeover. They pump her up and they leave.

Match Result: Jody Threat defeated Maggie Lee

Indi Hartwell Makes TNA iMPACT Debut

Back inside the Impact Zone, Gia Miller is shown at the top of the stage. She introduces her guest at this time, the newest addition to the TNA Knockouts division, former WWE Superstar Indi Hartwell. She makes her way out to chants of “Indi! Indi!”

She says she’s proud to be here. She’s proud to be on this roster. She says she’s not just a TNA Knockout now, she’s the TNA Knockout now. Gia asks her if she’s got her sights set on anyone particular. She mentions having history with many of them.

Hartwell vows not to be just another member of the roster. She promises to shake things up. “Because Indi Hartwell has officially ‘crossed the line!'” Hannifan plugs her first TNA t-shirt as the brief segment wraps up.

KC Navarro vs. Leon Slater

After a quick TNA Under Siege 2025 promotional trailer airs, we return inside the Impact Zone where the First Class theme hits. Out comes KC Navarro accompanied by AJ Francis. He settles inside the squared circle for the next match of the evening.

Leon Slater’s entrance tune hits and out comes the rookie sensation to a pretty healthy crowd reaction. Hannifan mentions Slater going viral because of the wild high spot from TNA Rebellion 2025. They also mention how close he came to winning the TNA X-Division Championship.

The bell sounds to get things started, and Navarro and Slater start zipping all over the ring, hitting the ropes on all four sides, before ultimate Navarro flips over Slater’s back and then dances to gloat afterwards.

Slater takes advantage of his lapse in focus and jumps in the early offensive lead. Slater knocks Navarro out to the floor. He goes to slingshot onto him, but lands on his feet and blasts him with a shot instead. Slater hits a modified Drive-By from the floor to the ring apron.

Back in the ring, Slater heads to the top-rope. Francis hops on the ring apron. The referee immediately ejects him from ringside. Slater hops off the ropes and taunts him, but then turns around into a huge tornado DDT from Navarro for a close two-count.

Slater hoists Navarro up for a suplex, but turns it into a twisting neckbreaker instead. He follows up with the cover, but only gets a count of two. Slater backs in the corner and stalks Navarro on the floor. He runs and leaps, flipping over the ring post from the ring to the floor and landing on his feet.

Navarro thought he out-smarted him by side-stepping him, but didn’t realize Slater landed on his feet. As Navarro finished gloating, he turned around into a big shot from Slater. Slater gets Navarro back in the ring and hits his top-rope swanton 450 for the victory. The show heads to another break.

Match Result: Leon Slater defeated KC Navarro

Joe Hendry & The Hardys vs. Frankie Kazarian & The Nemeth Brothers

It’s main event time!

But first, when the show returns, Joe Hendry is shown talking with NXT Tag-Team Champions Hank & Tank. Tom Hannifan promotes their match against Darkstate for next Tuesday night’s episode of WWE NXT on The CW Network.

From there, after a Masha Slamovich response backstage regarding her TNA Knockouts Championship defense against Victoria Crawford at TNA Under Siege 2025, the show heads back inside the Impact Zone for the final match of the evening.

The familiar sounds of Nic Nemeth’s “Wanted Man” entrance tune hits and out come the new TNA World Tag-Team Champions The Nemeth Brothers — Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth. They are then joined by the self-proclaimed “King of TNA” Frankie Kazarian.

The viral smash hit “I Believe in Joe Hendry” hits for the second time inside the Impact Zone this evening. It transitions into “I Believe in Matt Hardy, and I Believe in Jeff Hardy,” with the two doing the same cheesy-smiley clapping. The trio head out as The Hardys regular theme plays and the crowd roars.

As soon as all six are settled inside the squared circle, they all begin duking it out. Hendry and The Hardys clear Kazarian and The Nemeths from the ring. They all do the dramatic Joe Hendry soap opera-style turn to the camera, and then all three lead the fans in a “DELETE! DELETE!” chant.

On that note, the show shifts gears and heads into a mid-match commercial break as the six-man tag-team main event of the evening continues. Back live, Matt Hardy is shown working over Ryan Nemeth. He hits his trademark middle rope leg drop for a two-count.

Matt ends up getting guzzled up in three-on-one fashion, as quick tags and referee distractions allow The Nemeth Brothers and Frankie Kazarian to manhandle and isolate Hardy in dominant fashion. They spit at Hendry, who comes in, prompting another beatdown while the referee is busy.

Jeff Hardy finally gets the much-needed hot tag for his team. He comes in off the tag with a ton of energy, taking it to all three members of the opposition, as they continue to feed into “The Charismatic Enigma’s” offensive flurry.

All six end up in the ring, with Hendry hitting fall-away slams on all three members of the opposing team. He plays to the crowd. He does the stomp-stomp-clap, “We will rock you!” routine and then connects with a Standing Ovation on Nemeth.

Out of nowhere, WWE NXT Superstar Trick Williams yanks Hendry out of the ring and attacks him. Nemeth hits Danger Zone on Jeff Hardy in the ring for the victory. After the match wraps up, Kazarian and The Nemeths celebrate and leave.

Trick is alone with Hendry in the ring. He lays him out with his Trick-Shot finisher. That’s how the special live episode of TNA iMPACT goes off the air.

Match Result: Frankie Kazarian & The Nemeth Brothers defeat Joe Hendry & The Hardys

As announced during this week’s show, the next challenger for Oba Femi’s NXT Championship will be decided in a 25-man battle royal on the Tuesday, May 6 WWE NXT. The winner will challenge Femi for the NXT title at Battleground on Sunday, May 25.

The battle royal was announced during an in-ring promo segment with Trick Williams. As Williams declared himself the biggest star in NXT and in TNA after attacking Joe Hendry at Sunday’s TNA Rebellion show, general manager Ava interrupted and said that if Williams wants a shot at Oba Femi’s title, he will have to win next week’s number one contender’s battle royal. The match will feature a mix of NXT and Evolve talent.

NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer’s Battleground opponent will also be decided on next week’s episode. Giulia and Jordynne Grace will go one-on-one with the winner advancing to Battleground to challenge Vaquer.

A six-man tag team bout is also official for next week’s show, with TNA World Champion Hendry teaming with NXT Tag Team Champions Hank Walker and Tank Ledger against three members of the DarkState group. DarkState attacked Hendry on this week’s episode, with Hank and Tank agreeing to team with Hendry next week as the TNA Champion looks for retribution.

Kelani Jordan vs. Zaria is also on tap for next week’s episode. Jordan confronted Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca and her partner Zaria in a backstage segment on this week’s show to set up the match. Jordan would likely be next in line for a title shot at Ruca should she get past Zaria.

**********

The episode begins with a video package recapping the story so far in feud between Joe Hendry and Trick Williams.

Opening the show are commentators Vic Joseph, Corey Graves and Booker T from a sound stage at the Performance Center in Orlando in front of a live studio audience.

Joseph speaks the name of TNA Champion Joe Hendry, and he appears. Such is his gimmick. Tonight, Hendry enters the sound stage wearing his WrestleMania-branded t-shirt. The live studio audience responds accordingly, as they wave their arms in unison to the beat of Hendry’s theme song.

Hendry enters the ring for a monologue. He plays to the crowd and mentions wrestling Randy Orton at WrestleMania, and then Hendry days later defended the TNA Championship. That is where Trick Williams attacked Hendry in a cliffhanger ending to the TNA Rebellion pay-per-view.

Hendry cuts a promo on Trick, and Hendry gets the crowd to chant “we believe” in him. Hendry figures that Trick knew Oba Femi was not going to give him a shot at the NXT Championship, so Hendry says that Trick is instead trying to get a shot at the TNA Championship. Hendry then calls out Trick.

Before Trick came enter, the lights so out on the sound stage. The DarkState faction appears, and they jump Hendry. They powerbomb Hendry and leave him laying in the ring as they stand over Hendry.

The show cuts away to a skit from earlier today, where WWE Women’s World Champion IYO SKY is in the office of NXT General Manager Ava. She booked SKY in a tag team match, and Ava asks if SKY found a tag partner. Not yet, but in walks Jordynne Grace to volunteer. SKY accepts the offer, so her and Grace will team up later on.

NXT North American Champion Ricky Saints and Lexis King prepare for their title match, which is “next” after a commercial break.

What was actually next after the break is a quick recap from last Tuesday night when Liv Morgan & Raquel Gonzalez defended the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Gigi Dolan & Tatum Paxley. That recap led into a skit from the NXT lounge.

Karmen Petrovic was talking with Dolan & Paxley when they are interrupted by Ashante “Thee” Adonis. He basically tells her to ditch the two losers because Adonis got her booked in a title match tonight. Petrovic takes exception at him calling them losers, and she also says she in not ready for a title match tonight. Adonis responds by saying she better get ready because “we” have a title match.

NXT North American Champion Ricky Saints defeated Lexis King to retain his title

Saints pinned King clean after a Roshambo. It was a good match with lots of action. The match goes through commercial break.

King jumps Saints before the bell rings to start the match. Saints soon counters King, and Saints goes on to pose atop the barricade as the show cuts to commercial.

When the show returns from the break, King gets a near fall after a Swanton Bomb. More near falls for King, until Saints attempts a comeback. King goes for his finisher, but Saints counters him. Saints spikes King with a tornado DDT, and Saints executes his finisher. Saints then covers King for a pinfall. And still…

“NXT Spotlight” sponsored by an insurance company features a vignette where Shawn Spears addresses The Culling.

Tony D’Angelo makes his first appearance in front of the studio audience since Stacks turned on him at Stand & Deliver. D’Angelo begins his monologue by saying we can all relate to betrayal. Still, “The Don” did not expect it at Stand & Deliver.

D’Angelo expected a man-to-man conversation, but not the betrayal. The Don talks about when he stuck up for Stacks when they were kids. D’Angelo insists that Stacks always had his eyes on being the boss of The Family. D’Angelo then talks about the times Stacks stepped up, so he was rewarded with being the Underboss. Yet at the same time, Stacks was impulsive. D’Angelo had to step in to show why he was still “The Don” of the The Family.

The Don says Stacks waited until the world was watching to stab him in the back. D’Angelo says Stacks will pay for his sins. The Don also mentions that Luca Crusifino is missing and Adrianna Rizzo remains in hiding.

A bunch of security enters the ringside area as the Titantron shows a pre-taped promo from Stacks. He is on bridge somewhere, which is a callback a usual meeting place for The Family. Stacks cuts a promo on D’Angelo, with Stacks saying he is tired of taking orders. Stacks also says D’Angelo has grown soft, and Stacks accuses The Don letting The Family get pushed around by groups like DarkState.

Stacks wants to become the new Don of the Family. He knows D’Angelo better than anyone, and Stacks knows that D’Angelo is losing power. Stacks questions whether D’Angelo can trust his own Family.

The security detail turns out to be henchmen for Stacks. D’Angelo cleans house on the henchmen, as what appears to be other mobster look on from the apron. They do not help D’Angelo, but he does not need any as he easily suplexes a henchman over the top rope. End Scene.

In a backstage skit, Meta-Four splits up as they all agree to go their separate ways. Oro Mensah, Jakara Jackson, Lash Legend and Noam Dar all hug and then depart as singles wrestlers. Not the only break-up on this episode, but the only amicable break-up of the night.

NXT Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca (with Zaria) defeated Karmen Petrovic (with Ashante “Thee” Adonis)

Ruca pinned Petrovic clean after a Sol Snatcher. After the match, Petrovic breaks up with Adonis. She turns on him as he is barking at her about why she lost. Petrovic heard enough. When Adonis grabs her arm, Petrovic lays out Adonis with a roundhouse kick. Adonis is dazed as the studio audience chants “one more time.”

Before the next commercial break, a clip plugs a cameo appearance by Trick Williams on the CW’s All American television series.

Trick Williams enters the sound stage to address the audience. Tricks name drops Joe Hendry, but he does not appear. Trick says Hendry should be glad DarkState got to him before Trick got to Hendry. Trick says even “those punks know” that Hendry does not belong here.

Trick responds to anyone thinking he “crashed out” last Tuesday. Trick then talks about his run-in at Rebellion. He also plugs his acting appearance on All American. I remember All American when Bobby Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon hosted the show, but that is story of another time.

Trick says he and Hendry are not on the same level. Trick is Hollywood, while Hendry is “local talent” in NXT. Trick wants his title back, and he wants to challenge Oba Femi.

Ava interrupted Trick and scolds him for his recent actions. Trick says he realized after Sunday (at Rebellion) that he is bigger than NXT. He refers himself as the “biggest superstar” in NXT, along with the biggest star in TNA.

While Ava agrees to give Trick another chance at a title shot, that will come in a 25-man battle royal next Tuesday on NXT to determine a number one contender. The winner of the battle royal will face Femi at Battleground for the NXT title. A battle royal? How original.

Roxanne Perez and Giulia talk ahead of their tag match later on against IYO SKY and Jordynne Grace.

Kelly Kincaid interviews NXT Champion Oba Femi, who vows to retain the title at Battleground. The interview is interrupted by a cameo from The Undertaker. He tells Femi that NXT is Femis’ yard now, but Undertaker warns him that some guys from LFG will be coming for Femi soon. In walks Shiloh Hill, Anthony Luke and Jasper Troy from LFG. Femi says he looks forward to the challenge, and he shakes hands with Undertaker.

NXT Team Champions Hank Walker & Tank Ledger defeated Josh Briggs & Yoshiki Inamura to retain their titles

Hank Walker pins Josh Briggs, and the champs retain. Rough and tumble match from the start. It was fun. The tag bout also goes through a commercial break.

After the break, Briggs & Inamura work over Hank. The match builds to a hot tag, and Tank is a house of fire. Soon thereafter, Hank is sent crashing into the ring steps at ringside. That leaves Tank at a two-on-one disadvantage.

Tank takes a chokeslam and a lariat from Briggs, and Inamura follows up with a splash off the top rope. Hank jumps into the ring to break up the subsequent pinning attempt. Moments later, Tank is again being double-teamed. Hank goes to make another save when he is scooped up by Inamura. He spins Hank around to complete the scoop slam, but Inamura inadvertently swings Hank’s feet into Briggs.

For the finish itself, Hank & Tank double-team Briggs with spear/powerslam combination. Hank then covers Briggs for the deciding pinfall, and the tag champs retain their titles. Inamura pleads his case to Briggs after the match, trying to explain the mishap.

DarkState cuts a promo that was posted on social media.

Chase University is back in a skit with Andre Chase welcoming students back to class. Chase proclaims today is a “new semester” for Chase U. Kale Dixon and Uriah Conners show up late for class, and a goody two shoes tries to call them out for being late. Chase cuts a promo on them and curses at them.

In a locker room skit, Kelani Jordan challenges Sol Ruca to a North American title match next week. Ruca is about to accept when Zaria cuts them off to tell Jordan she is not getting a title shot next Tuesday. Zaria tells Jordan she must go through Zaria to get a shot at Ruca. “Fine,” says Jordan.

Hank & Tank interact with Joe Hendry in the trainer’s room. They all three to the “honk, honk” hand gesture. This skit sets up Hendry teaming with Hank & Tank against DarkState in a six-man tag match next Tuesday on NXT.

WWE Women’s World Champion IYO SKY & Jordynne Grace defeated Roxanne Perez & Giulia

SKY pinned Perez to win the match. Really good tag match with a lot of action. Some storytelling within the match, but this was mostly just fun.

The tag bout begins with a melee at ringside. They all soon get in the ring. SKY and Grace get to shine early on. Eventually, Grace is cut off. She is being double-teamed when Grace suplexes both Perez and Giulia at the same time.

Hot tag to SKY for a missile dropkick. Grace and SKY work well as a team, until they are cut off. Grace has SKY on her shoulders when they are tripped up. As the show cuts to its final commercial break (which is picture-in-picture), SKY and Grace are in peril as they sell big.

Heat on SKY during the split-screen break, and the show returns with SKY in trouble. Hot tag to Grace, and she runs wild cleaning house. Perez with a save with a high cross. Everybody is down selling when SKY gets to her feet and hulks up.

Perez with a Super Frankensteiner on SKY. Giulia and Perez look to finish SKY, but Grace jumps in for a save. Grace and Giulia began to brawl on the floor at ringside. In the ring, Perez and SKY exchange a series of great near falls.

For the finish, SKY counters Pop Rocks with a backflip. SKY then kicks Perez and follows up with a moonsault press. SKY then covers Perez for a pinfall.

The show ends with a skit where Ava is talking with NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer, and Ava announces a number one contender’s match for next Tuesday. Jordynne Grace and Giulia meet next week in a singles match, and the winner gets a title shot against Vaquer at Battleground.
