Trick Williams attacks Joe Hendry at TNA Rebellion

Trick Williams made a statement at TNA Rebellion.

Joe Hendry successfully retained the TNA Championship, pinning NXT’s Ethan Page in a match that also featured Frankie Kazarian. As he was celebrating, however, Williams emerged and attacked Hendry, hitting him with a kick then connected with the trick shot.

He grabbed the TNA title and looked at it before dropping it on Hendry, ending the show.

Shortly after Rebellion went off the air, Shawn Michaels posted that Hendry has an open invitation to come to NXT on Tuesday to settle his differences with Williams.

After his surprise WrestleMania appearance, Hendry came out on NXT and interrupted a conversation between Williams and NXT Champion Oba Femi. Hendry and Williams exchanged words, then Hendry told Femi that he has business with him after Rebellion. An angry Williams then confronted both men, leading both the NXT and TNA Champions to lay out Williams.

Later, Williams was seen backstage was irate at what went down and started to destroy the area, leading to GM Ava throwing him out of the building.

Countdown To TNA Rebellion Kicks Off

Gia Miller, O’Shea Jackson Jr. from the No Contest Wrestling podcast, as well as Dave LeGreca and Tommy Dreamer from SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio are shown seated at a table at the top of the entrance stage as the ‘Countdown to TNA Rebellion’ kicks off from inside the Galen Center.

Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx) vs. Lei Ying Lee, Rosemary & Xia Brookside

After running down the lineup and giving their respective thoughts on the matches, they send things to Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt at ringside, who introduce the first of two pre-show matches. Out comes NXT trio Fatal Influence — Fallon Henley, Jacy Jane and Jazmyn Nyx.

The trio settles inside the squared circle and their music dies down. Out next is the first two of their three opponents, Lei Ying Lee and Xia Brookside, who come out together. The third member of their team, Rosemary, comes out by herself next.

As soon as they reach the ringside area, the three babyfaces attack the three NXT Superstars before the bell. Inside the ring, Henley goes to work on Brookside as the bell sounds to get things officially off-and-running. Rosemary gets the tag and takes over. She calls out Jane, who comes in.

Rosemary teases the green mist spray, leading to Jane falling to her butt and scooting back. Henley comes in off the tag and gets bullied into the corner and overwhelmed by Rosemary. Rosemary goes for a roll-up, but Henley tags on the way down. Jane catches Rosemary with a knee before entering the ring.

Inside the ring, Jane adds to the offensive lead, helping Fatal Influence settle in their first prolonged lead of the match. Fans break out in a “NXT! NXT!” chant. A different group of fans drown that out with “TNA! TNA!” chants. Nyx tags in and picks up where Jane left off, taking it to Rosemary.

As the action continues, we see the babyface team hit back-to-back-to-back dives to the Fatal Influence team at ringside. Back in the ring, Jane and Brookside land simultaneous pump-kicks.

Rosemary tries sliding brass knuckles on Brookside, who gets up and dramatically refuses to use them. Jane blasts her from behind for the win. Rosemary stands at ringside looking angry about Brookside’s refusal.

Match Result: Fatal Influence defeated Lei Ying Lee, Xia Brookside & Rosemary

Eric Young Sends A Message To Steve Maclin

Backstage, Eric Young is shown with The Northern Armory. He talks into the camera about the word Rebellion and how it derives from Rebellious. He talks about his rebellious spirit and how he isn’t here alone tonight, but Steve Maclin is. He doesn’t plan on leaving without the TNA International Title.

The System Are Ready For Tonight

Backstage, The System are shown talking about their various matches tonight. Alisha Edwards asks if we want to know something. Moose vows to win the Ultimate X title tilt tonight and then help out The System with the rest of their matches.

Up walks Cody Deaner who mentions needing to prove something. He asks to take JDC’s spot in the match against The Rascalz and Ace Austin. The System call him a loser and walk off.

Elijah vs. Shane Haste

Elijah comes out strumming a guitar and doing some singing about Los Angeles-related sports and pop culture references, before settling in the ring to find out who is going to “Walk with Elijah” in this special open challenge on ‘Countdown to TNA Rebellion.’

The TMDK tron plays and out representing them comes Shane Haste. He settles inside the squared circle and the bell sounds to get things started. Elijah immediately takes the early offensive lead. He slams Haste’s head down on the ring apron from the floor.

Elijah continues to control the action for a few more minutes, and then Haste finally slows down his momentum and shifts things into his own favor. He connects with a side-suplex for a close two-count. Elijah floats-over on another move attempt, and counters with a big move of his own.

We see Elijah go for a follow-up, but he eats a falcon arrow from Haste. Haste then connects with a vicious kick that shatters the spine of Elijah. He looks for Bomb Valley Death, but Elijah escapes and blasts Haste with a flying knee. He hits Elijah with the Highwayman’s Farewell piledriver for the win.

Match Result: Elijah defeated Shane Haste

TNA X-Division Championship Ultimate X Match
Moose (c) vs. Matt Cardona vs. KC Navarro vs. Sidney Akeem vs. Leon Slater vs. El Hijo del Vikingo

After the performance of the national anthem and cold open video package, the pay-per-view portion of TNA Rebellion 2025 gets underway with the Ultimate X match for the TNA X-Division Championship. “Alwayz Ready” Matt Cardona’s theme hits and out he comes first. Then KC Navarro comes out with AJ Francis, Sidney Akeem comes out after that, and then Leon Slater.

Mikey and Jackson, “his biggest fans,” accompany El Hijo del Vikingo to the ring when he comes out as the last challenger before the champion made his entrance. Afterwards, the lights go down, the awesome theme for Moose hits and the reigning TNA X-Division Champion, who is legitimately afraid of heights, heads out for his title defense.

As soon as the bell sounds, all of the competitors start trading shots all over the place. Within seconds we see three or four bodies hanging from the Ultimate X wires above the ring. Nothing comes from it, and the whole field gets cleared out, leaving Moose in the ring.

Moose, afraid of heights, unfolds a steel chair and stands on it to try and reach the title. Not even close. More bodies start filling up the ring. We see El Hijo del Vikingo hit a big dive from the ropes to the floor. Moments later, Sidney Akeem hits a picture-perfect moonsault off the ropes to a pile of bodies at ringside.

Up next, Moose hits a powerbomb on Akeem from the ring to a pile of bodies on the floor. Moose then calls out to Alisha Edwards to climb for him. She takes her coat off and begins doing exactly that. Alisha stops and hesitates, but Moose begs her to continue. She does.

Alisha gets all the way up and is hanging from her legs and hands, crawling the wire to the center. She loses her footing and her legs fall. She kicks her legs and falls, but Moose catches her. While holding her, Slater hits the ring and super kicks Moose. Moose falls and Alisha rolls to the floor.

Slater and del Vikingo are on the ropes together. Slater propels off a push from del Vikingo all the way to the wire. He hangs from it and hits a spot off of it to del Vikingo. Navarro hits the ring and takes them both out for a ton of heat. He then looks up and begins his climb. Akeem stops him.

Navarro ends up hanging off the wire, where he lets go and connects with a wild tornado DDT to Slater. Cardona enters the mix but eats some kicks from Navarro. Navarro hits Cardona with his own re-boot spot in the corner.

As the action continues, AJ Francis, who was introduced as a special guest commentator at the start, only for his microphone to never work and him never actually doing it, he appears in the ring and hits his finisher and cleans house. Francis gets Navarro on his shoulders and walks him to right under the title.

Navarro hangs on and Moose spears Francis. Moose reaches up and power bombs Navarro down, but then turns and walks into Radio Silence from Cardona. Cardona turns into a leg-lariat from Slater. Slater climbs the 15-foot podium holding the wires in the corner.

He hits a leaping 450-senton onto a pile of bodies at ringside. They don’t catch him that well, and with full momentum his body smacks the mat on the floor. Ouch. Scary. He gets up and plays to the crowd and appears okay. How? Who knows. He gets up the wires again and climbs to the middle.

He unhooks the title, but they say it’s not over until he drops down. He goes to drop down, and does, but upon landing gets speared by Moose. Moose steps over him, picks up the title, and is declared the winner. Not as smooth as planned.

Match Result: Moose retains the TNA X-Division Championship

Joe Hendry’s WrestleMania ‘Moment’

After the PPV opener wraps up, a lengthy video package airs to show Joe Hendry’s “WrestleMania Moment.” That’s what they called it, don’t shoot the messenger. The best part is after it wraps up, they’ve got to make a big deal out of that guy being their main event later tonight. Whoops!

TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Championships
Ash & Heather By Elegance (c) vs. Spitfire (Jody Threat & Dani Luna) vs. Tatum Paxley & Gigi Dolin vs. The Meta-Four (Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend)

Inside the Galen Center again, the theme for Spitfire hits and out comes Jody Threat and Dani Luna. They settle in the ring for the next title tilt of the evening. Out next from WWE NXT are Tatum Paxley and Gigi Dolin, as well as The Meta-Four duo of Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend.

Finally, the reigning and defending TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Champions Ash By Elegance and Heather By Elegance make their way out to the custom ring introduction by their own personal concierge, George Iceman. “The Liaison” between WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling, Arianna Grace, sits in on special guest commentary. Her microphone works.

Ash and Heather are dressed up like Playboy bunnies, complete with the little bunny ears, etc. The tag-lines graphic shows some notable stats and while it’s still full screen, we hear the bell sound and the crowd pop as the action begins off-camera in the background. Ash and Paxley kick things off.

Ash tags Heather before anything happens. Paxley crawls around and freaks out Heather, too, who then tags out before anything happens. Luna comes in and she and Paxley finally start mixing it up in the early goings.

Hannifan mentions Threat having her hand wrapped up due to an injury she sustained doing jiu-jitsu. We see back-to-back-to-back ring-to-floor high spots. Dolin hits a Whisper in the Wind as the last one, until Jackson stops Heather’s attempted dive.

She picks her up and military press slams her onto the pile. She then puts Legend on her shoulders and Legend dives onto the pile of bodies at ringside. Back in the ring, Jackson tags in. Dolin tilt-a-whirls around Jackson into a roll-up for a two-count.

We see spot-fest 2025 break out, as each team has one member hit a finisher in sequential fashion. This leads to two big stacked suplex spots on each side of the ring. Maggie Lee runs out and holds onto Ash on one side, setting her up to hit her Rarified Air finisher for the pinfall to retain.

Match Result: Ash & Heather By Elegance win to retain TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Championships

TNA Injury Report & A Word From Elijah

After the TNA Injury Report presented by Bioflex airs with updates on Joe Hendry’s status, Zachary Wentz, and Sami Callihan and Mance Warner’s aftermath from their violent Barbed Wire Massacre match, we shoot backstage live to see Joe Hendry’s shoulder being checked on by the TNA medical team.

Backstage live, Elijah talks directly into the camera about winning his first-ever “Walk With Elijah” open challenge earlier in the evening. He says now he gets to sit-back and watch his friend, Joe Hendry, retain his TNA Championship. He believes in him and he’ll be sitting back enjoying it like everyone else.

The System (Moose, Eddie Edwards & Brian Myers) (w/ Alisha Edwards) vs. The Rascalz (Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz) & Ace Austin (w/ Sean Waltman)

Back inside the Galen Center, The System’s theme hits. Out comes the group consisting of Moose, Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers, accompanied by Alisha Edwards. They touch their System rings and begin their walk to the ring. Moose will be competing for the second time this evening.

Next, Ace Austin’s theme hits and out comes the ABC member by himself. His music dies down and he waits for his partners. The Rascalz theme hits and out comes Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz. They stop and do the nWo side-pointing gesture as Sean Waltman makes his way out to accompany them.

The bell sounds and it will be Wentz and Myers kicking things off for their respective teams. Went tries to pose to the crowd, which leads to Myers blasting him with a big boot to the bread basket to get things going. Wentz fights back, lays out Myers and tags in Miguel for a double-team spot.

After some initial back-and-forth follow-up action, things begin to pick up. Alisha keeps getting involved at ringside, leading to Waltman informing the referee. This happens one time too many, with Alisha entering the ring. Waltman confronts her. She goes to smack him, but he hits her with an X-Factor.

Waltman and the rest of the guys do the suck-it gesture together, and then The Rascalz and Austin hit Bronco Busters in three corners at the same time with him. Moose goes for a spear, but dives into an X-Factor from Wentz. He and Miguel follow-up with the finish for the win. Waltman celebrates with them. Fun.

Match Result: The Rascalz & Ace Austin (w/ Sean Waltman) defeat The System (w/ Alisha Edwards)

TNA International Championship
Steve Maclin (c) vs. Eric Young

It’s time for another title tilt, but first, Gia Miller is backstage trying to get a word with TNA International Champion Steve Maclin. She asks if he’s ready for this fight with his friend, Eric Young. He doesn’t respond or even react facially. After a long pause, he smirks and walks off.

Back inside the Galen Center, the lights go down and the theme for Eric Young hits. Out comes “The World Class Maniac” accompanied by The Northern Armory duo of Judas Icarus and Travis Williams.

Reigning and defending TNA International Champion “Bulletproof” Steve Maclin is out next with his “Dead Presidents” movie-style entrance mask on. He takes it off, lays his title in front of him and looks ready for battle.

The commentators talk about Young sliding Maclin the mask as his final offer to join The Northern Armory last week. Judas and Williams run up but Maclin lays them out and continues to the ring. He and Young lock eyes, the bell sounds, and they begin to battle.

Young takes the initial offensive lead, but it doesn’t last long, as Maclin fights back and hits a diving Air-Raid style high spot from the ring to the floor on Young and The Northern Armory duo. Back in the ring, Icarus tries getting involved to protect Young.

This leads to Maclin heading out to deal with him, only to be attacked by Williams. They send him back into Young, who goes for the cover, but only gets two. They continue to get involved, leading to the referee ejecting them from ringside.

Maclin fires up and has Young hanging upside down in the tree of woe in the corner. He goes for the spear, but Young does a sit-up and Maclin goes sailing through the ropes, where he crashes and burns hard on the floor.

The top of his head is cut badly. The referee puts on some gloves to check him. The doctor also checks on him. After the action resumes in the ring, literally out of nowhere, Maclin rolls Young up and hooks a leg for the win.

As soon as the match ends, Maclin is attacked by The Northern Armory, who come back out and help Young hang Maclin over the ropes with a giant steel chain. That’s how the post-match scene wraps up.

Match Result: Steve Maclin defeated Eric Young to retain TNA International Championship

Falls Count Anywhere
Mike Santana vs. Mustafa Ali

The commentary duo of Hannifan and Rehwoldt set the stage for the next match of the evening, which is the Falls Count Anywhere match between bitter rivals Mike Santana and Mustafa Ali. The elaborate pre-match package airs to show the road leading to tonight’s showdown.

Once the package wraps up, some Indian-dressed ladies come out dancing while a dude in Indian garb bangs on a drum at the beginning of the entrance aisle. Very upbeat, happy-go-lucky feel to it right before this Falls Count Anywhere blood-feud stemming from addiction issues gets going.

This transitions into the regular dramatic entrance tune for Mustafa Ali. Out first comes Tasha Steelz and The Great Hands duo of John Skyler and Jason Hotch in suits. Ali then comes out in his fancy ring gear with a look of focus in his eyes. He settles in the ring and is ready to rock and roll.

Two guys that are referenced as two decorated boxing champions are shown backstage with a bunch of alphabet-soup belts. Never heard of either of them, and I’m pretty well-versed in the sport of the sweet science. Anyways, they join Mike Santana for his hip-hop walk through the crowd.

The commentators point out that Santana is wearing a vest gifted to him by Homicide. His tights are a tip of the cap to another wrestling legend, Bret “The Hitman” Hart. The bell sounds and the two begin hockey-duking it out in the middle of the ring. Ali knocks Santana to the floor and hits a dive.

Santana takes apart the ring steps. He drags over the bottom half to the end of the entrance aisle. He sits it on its’ side, so it’s up long ways and kind of jagged. He picks Ali up, but Ali slams Santana face-first into what Hannifan calls the diving plate.

He goes for a running dive through the ropes but is sent head-first into the steel steps. The rest of his body folds over him in a scene that looked ugly. Not as bad as Leon Slater’s early in the evening, but just as scary in terms of potential disastrous consequences.

Like Slater, Ali seems fine somehow. Santana continues to beat Ali down as they fight through the crowd. He grabs a bucket of popcorn and whacks Ali with it. Somehow that dropped him to one knee. Must be stale popcorn. Santana climbs up one level and leaps off the barricade with a moonsault for a two-count.

As they continue to fight through the crowd, The Great Hands get blatantly involved. They double-team Santana, leading to Ali hitting a huge balcony dive onto all of them. He tries for a pin on Santana, but only gets a two-count. Fans chant “This is Awesome!” as they fight back to ringside.

Ali sets up to folding chairs. He unfolds them and faces them towards each other. He sits Santana on them and backs up. He charges at Santana, who pops up and in one quick motion, hoists Ali up for a death valley driver onto the pair of chairs. Ouch.

In another wild high spot, Ali has Santana laid out on the hard part of the ring apron outside of the ring ropes. He’s slumped over against the turnbuckles outside of the ropes, with a steel chair laying in front of his face.

Ali does a top-rope coast-to-coast, connects, but then bounces violently off the unforgiving apron to the floor. Moments after that, Ali hits a 450 splash off the top-rope to put Santana through a table at ringside. In the rubble, he goes for the cover, but somehow Santana kicks out.

Half of the ring steps are brought into the ring and set up long-ways in the corner. The Great Hands hit the ring and try and handcuff Santana, but he hits a double Spin the Block on them both. He cuffs them both to the aforementioned steps in the ring.

Santana’s big-reveal follow-up is hurt a bit, as he looks under the ring for something, and obviously has a one-in-four chance of checking the right spot. Let’s just say it took him four tries to find what turned out to be a barbed wire wrapped baseball bat.

Before he can use it, Ali attacks. Tasha Steelz heads under the ring and on her first attempt, pulls out another table and sets it up as the L.A. crowd goes wild. Ali is shown smiling as he watches her set it up from the ring.

Ali picks up Santana, who whips him into the ring post. Steelz slaps Santana. Santana points at her. She tries another slap, he catches it and hoists her up for a leaping power bomb off the ring apron through the table. A lot of man-on-woman violence tonight at TNA Rebellion.

As the crowd is going wild, and Santana is playing to them, he is whacked from behind by a steel chair from Ali. Ali pulls out a third table and slides it into the ring. The Great Hands are shown cuffed to the steps. Ali ignores them and sets the table up.

Ali heads up to the top-rope behind the steel steps that The Great Hands are cuffed to. Santana stops him and climbs up the steps. From up top there, he hits a super-duper-plex through the table. He goes for the immediate follow-up cover, yet somehow Ali klicks out. Santana hits Ali with the barbed wire bat and connects with his Spin The Block finisher for the win. Excellent, excellent match.

Match Result: Mike Santana defeated Mustafa Ali

Indi Hartwell ‘Crosses The Line,’ Joins TNA Knockouts Division

Immediately following the instant classic Falls Count Anywhere match, TNA broadcast member Gia Miller conducted a live interview at ringside.

Miller spoke with former WWE and WWE NXT Superstar Indi Hartwell in the front row, confirming that she has joined the TNA Knockouts division.

It was later confirmed by Hannifan and Rehwoldt that we will hear from Indi Hartwell on this coming Thursday’s special live episode of TNA iMPACT on AXS TV, Sportsnet 360 and TNA+.

TNA Knockouts Championship
Masha Slamovich (c) vs. Tessa Blanchard

Speaking of Knockouts, the TNA Knockouts Championship match is up next as part of what they are referring to as one of three matches featured as the triple-main event of TNA Rebellion. The pre-match video package airs to tell the story leading up to Masha Slamovich vs. Tessa Blanchard.

The package wraps up and upon returning inside the Galen Center, the theme for Tessa Blanchard hits and the challenger makes her way to the ring. The reigning and defending TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich is out next.

As soon as Slamovich hits the ring, she hits a senton off the apron onto Blanchard to get things started with a bang. She follows up on Blanchard on the floor, but soon after, Blanchard shifts the momentum into her favor.

Blanchard begins dominating the champion, focusing her offensive attack on the leg of Slamovich. Blanchard yanks the knee pad of Slamovich down and continues to isolate the limb of the defending champion. Slamovich fights back and hits Code Red to slow down Blanchard’s momentum.

Slamovich connects with a back-fist and follows up with a German suplex for a two-count. She pounds on her own knee to try and get the feeling back in it. The crowd rallies behind her as she sets up for Requiem. Blanchard avoids it and counters. She hits a dragon screw on Slamovich’s bum wheel.

After some more brief back-and-forth action, Blanchard hits a huge high spot off the top-rope, but Slamovich rolls through and pops up to her feet for a big knee. She then follows up with a modified armbar for the submission win to retain the TNA Knockouts Championship.

Match Result: Masha Slamovich defeats Tessa Blanchard to retain TNA Knockouts Championship

TNA World Tag-Team Championships
The Hardys (c) vs. The Nemeth Brothers

The pre-match video package airs to tell the story leading up to part two of our three-part triple-main event at TNA Rebellion. The TNA World Tag-Team Championships will be on-the-line as The Hardys duo of Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy defend against The Nemeth Brothers of Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth.

The tag lines graphic flashes on the screen with some notable stats that Hannifan runs down as fans are heard very loudly chanting “Hardy! Hardy! in anticipation in the background. We hear the familiar sounds of the unzip and the, well, pleased female moan, before Nic and Ryan Nemeth emerge.

The Nemeth Brothers make their way out wearing the TNA World Tag-Team Championships, which still belong to The Hardys, but were stolen by Nic and Ryan during their visit to the creepy Hardy Compound on the TNA Rebellion “go-home” episode of TNA iMPACT this past Thursday night.

After a healthy delay, the iconic sounds of The Hardys’ theme hits and the roof nearly explodes off of the Galen Center, as the legendary duo of Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy emerge and head to the ring to a sustained roar from the L.A. crowd.

Joe Hendry is the only man on the roster anywhere near their level in terms of crowd reactions week-to-week. As soon as they hit the ring, they tussle briefly with The Nemeth Bros. Nic and Ryan bail to the floor, leaving Jeff and Matt to reclaim their belts. They pose with them on the ropes.

The referee takes the titles and holds them up high to show all four men what’s at stake in this one. Fans chant “Hardy! Hardy!” in the background. The bell sounds and all four collide once again. Jeff and Ryan powder out to the floor, while Matt goes to work on Nic in the corner.

Matt is isolated in the ring for a while, and is on the defensive the entire time. He finally makes the much-needed hot tag to Jeff, who helps shift the offensive momentum in the favor of The Hardys. They appeared to be wrapping things up, when Matt walks into the referee’s arm in mid-pin count.

This allows things to continue. Matt heads out to deal with Ryan at ringside. He ends up getting slammed in violent fashion on an unfolded steel chair set up on the floor. Meanwhile back in the ring, Nic hits Danger Zone on Jeff and covers him for the win. We have new TNA World Tag-Team Champions.

Match Result: The Nemeth Brothers defeated The Hardys to capture the TNA World Tag-Team Championships

TNA World Championship
Joe Hendry (c) vs. Ethan Page vs. Frankie Kazarian

The pre-show panelists, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Gia Miller, Tommy Dreamer and Dave LaGreca are joined by TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella at the top of the entrance stage. They give their predictions, with Jackson Jr. picking Ethan Page and the rest proclaiming they “believe in Joe Hendry.”

Santino then directs our attention to the big screen. The pre-match video package airs to tell the story leading up to our third and final portion of tonight’s triple-main event. When it wraps up, the Tale of the Tape graphic flashes on the screen.

Frankie Kazarian’s theme hits and out comes the Call Your Shot winner, who is cashing in his title opportunity in this triple-threat title tilt tonight. WWE NXT Superstar Ethan Page makes his way out next. Last, but certainly not least, Joe Hendry’s theme hits and the crowd erupts as the TNA World Champion emerges.

The ring announcer handles the final formal pre-match ring introductions for the champion and the challengers, and then the bell sounds to get things officially off-and-running in our final match of the evening. The commentators are quick to point out Hendry’s heavily taped up injured shoulder.

Hendry takes the initial offensive lead, looking for his Standing Ovation finisher straight out of the gate. Page starts to take over, focusing his attack on the aforementioned injured shoulder and arm of Hendry. Page hits a big suplex on Hendry into Kazarian as he was trying to get back into the ring.

Kazarian pulls out a table and enters it into the mix, prompting Hannifan and Rehwoldt to remind everyone that there are no rules in triple-threat matches, so it is perfectly legal to use. Kazarian heads into the ring and starts to go to work on Page, and then Hendry.

Hendry begins no-selling his punches. Kazarian rolls him up, sees Page coming, and hits him with a suplex into a bridge for a double pin attempt on Page and Hendry for a count of two. Kazarian looks for the Chicken Wing on Page, but Page backs him into the corner over-and-over again to free himself.

We see a wild power bomb and super-plex combo stacked spot out of the corner. Kazarian is sent crashing into the timekeeper on the floor. Page hits a draping DDT to Hendry on the floor. The Call Your Shot gauntlet trophy is used as a weapon. Back in the ring, Kazarian mocks Hendry and hits Fade To Black. He goes for the cover, but Page breaks it up.

Page hits a knee to Kazarian but then walks into an Olympic Slam from Hendry. Kazarian hits Angels Wings for a close two count of his own. All three guys are down and recovering as fans chant “This is Awesome.” Kazarian slaps the Chicken Wing on the bad shoulder of Hendry. They back body drop Page still in the hold. Hendry begins fading until a loud “We Believe” chant brings him back to life.

Kazarian tries Fade to Black on Hendry from the ring apron through the table. Hendry escapes and hits an Attitude Adjustment on Kazarian through the table on the floor. Back in the ring, Hendry goes for Standing Ovation, but Page tries countering into a RKO out of nowhere in a repeat of WrestleMania. Hendry avoids it and seconds later does connect with his Standing Ovation for the win to retain his TNA World Championship.

Match Result: Joe Hendry defeated Ethan Page and Frankie Kazarian to retain the TNA World Championship

Trick Williams “Whoops That Trick” Named Joe Hendry

Once the main event of the evening wraps up, Joe Hendry’s viral smash hit theme song plays as Hannifan and Rehwoldt sing his praises and begin wrapping up the broadcast. Just as they thank the fans for tuning in, out of nowhere, Hendry turns into a pump kick from WWE NXT Superstar Trick Williams.

The crowd is in shock. Hannifan and Rehwoldt are at a loss for words as well. Williams has an evil look in his eyes as he takes in the L.A. crowd inside the Galen Center. He waits for Hendry to get up and hits his Trick Shot finisher on him to leave him laying. That’s how TNA Rebellion goes off the air.

Thanks for joining us and don’t forget to follow F4WOnline.com’s Matt Boone on Twitter/X.

WOL: The right people believe in Joe Hendry

It’s Saturday and time for Wrestling Observer Live.

Friday saw an awesome TLC match on WWE SmackDown, some awesomely bad punches by Naomi to Jade Cargill, and John Cena going from disgruntled wrestler to the anti-Heath Slater. He’s tired of raising your kids.

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry may have disappointed some of his fans by losing to Randy Orton at WrestleMania, but It probably won’t matter as long as he impressed the right audience.

Plus, thoughts on WrestleMania 41, WWE seemingly leaning into bro culture with The Roast of WrestleMania featuring some of the hackiest, most obvious statements that are supposed to pass for jokes. Don’t be offended by the content. Be offended because they weren’t funny. No wonder WWE is trying to hide it.

The Nemeth brothers will visit the Hardy compound.

Before she challenges Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich on Sunday, Tessa Blanchard will be in action.

NXT’s Jacy Jayne will go one-on-one with Rosemary.

X-Division Champion Moose will team with JDC to take on Trey Miguel and Ace Austin.

Ahead of his falls count anywhere match against Mustafa Ali Sunday, Mike Santana will share some thoughts.

**********

Moose & JDC (w/ Alisha Edwards) vs. Trey Miguel & Ace Austin

The theme for The Rascalz hits and out comes Trey Miguel to the ring for the first match of the evening. The ABC entrance tune hits next and his partner, Ace Austin, joins him inside the squared circle. Their opponents, Moose and JDC of The System, make their way to the ring accompanied by Alisha Edwards.

Miguel and JDC kick things off for their respective teams. JDC controls the early action, isolating the left arm of The Rascalz member and focusing his offense on the limb. Miguel fights back and takes over. He then tags in Austin, who hits a double dropkick to JDC.

They deal with Moose and then hit a simaltaneous super kick to a seated JDC, Young Bucks-style. Miguel goes for a springboard off the ropes from the apron, but Alisha grabs his foot. Moose gets involved as well, leading to a baseball slide from JDC.

JDC then tags in Moose, and The System duo settle back into a comfortable offensive lead. Miguel is sent shoulder-first into the steel ring post as the show shifts gears and heads into a mid-match commercial break.

When the show returns, JDC is dominating Miguel, again focusing his offense on the softened up arm of The Rascalz member as the crowd in attendance try and rally behind him. Moose tags in and adds to the punishment Miguel’s arm is enduring.

Austin eventually gets the much-needed hot tag from Miguel, and the ABC member immediately shifts the momentum in the match to his team’s favor. Miguel tags back in after they settle into a comfortable lead, but he walks into a powerbomb from Moose that allows The System to take right back over.

We see some more back-and-forth action leading to Alisha Edwards providing a distraction on the apron, as Brian Myers snuck in a finisher on Miguel, leading to JDC scoring the pinfall victory for The System team. Myers and Eddie Edwards join Moose and JDC in the ring to celebrate.

Match Result: Moose & JDC defeated Trey Miguel & Ace Austin

Tommy Dreamer Reminds Masha Slamovich Never To Doubt Herself

A vignette airs with new comments from TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich, who is huffing and puffing into the mirror as she talks about her issues with Tessa Blanchard. “I’m not just ending your story. I’m the reason no one’s ever telling it again.”

As she continues to rant, quick-cut clips of her in action, as well as Blanchard, are shown. Tommy Dreamer ends up approaching Slamovich in front of the mirror, telling her “don’t ever doubt yourself, because [the fans] don’t either.” The show heads to another commercial break.

Mike Santana Shares At An AA Meeting

The show returns to a TNA Rebellion 2025 video package promoting the pay-per-view event coming up this weekend in Los Angeles, California. We then see Mike Santana sitting in a circle with a bunch of regular people.

Santana is asked if he wants to share after someone finishes up. He says he does. He talks about a great man once talking about “hard times” and the importance of staying true. He says anything he’s done in his life or career he’s stayed true to the people who matter to him.

He then talks about weakness. He brings up Mustafa Ali, a man who has made his presence felt in this very room. “Talk about weakness. That’s weakness. A man that can’t face the truth.” He says, “Come to think of it, Ali is the true addict. He’s addicted to Mike Santana.”

Santana continued, “He looks at someone like me, who has brought himself from the very bottom and rose and that’s gonna keep rising, he’s obsessed because he can’t stand the fact that he can’t control what’s meant to be. The fact that I’m gonna climb the ladder. I’ve said it once before, anything I do, I do it to be the best.”

He then began wrapping up his calmly spoken speech at the AA meeting. “What’s the definition of an addict? Someone who cannot admit that they have a problem. And another great man once also said sometimes you’ve got to become a monster to fight the monsters in the world.”

Finally, he finished with a message to his opponent at this weekend’s PPV. “At TNA Rebellion, Ali comes face-to-face with that monster. Ali comes face-to-face with the thing that he can’t stand. He’s gonna have no choice. He can’t run this time. It’s over. I’ll make sure. At TNA Rebellion, I fight. Fighting is all I know. Fighting is all we know. And I’m gonna keep fighting.” The show heads to another break.

Ash By Elegance Scolds Heather By Elegance

When the show returns, Heather by Elegance, George Iceman and Maggie Lee are all backstage and nervous as they prepare for a Zoom call with Ash By Elegance.

They make the call, and as expected, Ash scolded them for getting her stuck in a fatal-four-way tag-title tilt at TNA Rebellion. She cuts her own version of a mini-Steiner math promo.

Jacy Jane (w/ Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx) vs. Rosemary

Back inside the Impact Zone, the three-woman trio from WWE NXT, Fatal Influence, make their way to the ring for the next match of the evening. “The Liaison” Arianna Grace joins Matthew Rehwoldt and Tom Hannifan on special guest commentary for this one.

Jacy Jane settles in the ring, with Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx hanging around at ringside. Her opponent, Rosemary, makes her way out. The bell sounds to get things officially off-and-running. Rosemary starts well, but Jane quickly takes over after some distractions at ringside.

Rosemary escapes a rear chin-lock, begins screaming like a crazy person, and fires up for an offensive comeback. She bites Jane’s fingers and then bites her face. Jane fights back with a big knee strike, but Rosemary rises up like The Undertaker.

She hits a reverse DDT for a close two-count. Rosemary fights back and gets Jane on her shoulders. Nyx hopes on the apron and helps Jane escape. Rosemary spears Nyx off the apron but then turns around into a discus punch from Jane for the 1-2-3.

Match Result: Jacy Jane defeated Rosemary

Santino Marella Makes A TNA Rebellion Announcement

After the match wraps up, all three members of Fatal Influence hit the ring and proceed to beat down Rosemary in three-on-one fashion. This continues until Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee run out to make the save.

The TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella makes his way out as Fatal Influence are retreating up the entrance ramp. He says he wants to make an announcement. He says at TNA Rebellion it will be Rosemary, Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee taking on Fatal Influence.

The Nemeth Brothers Arrive At The Hardy Compound

We cut to a cinematic experience-style segment, where the black-and-white colored “Willow the Whisp” version of Jeff Hardy is shown like a carnival leading, welcoming those arriving to The Hardy Compound.

The Nemeth Brothers of Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth pull up to The Hardy Compound gate. The show heads to a commercial break as we hear a sinister laugh in the background.

When the show returns, we see Willow twisting his two-toned umbrella and doing another psycho laugh. The Kendrick Lamar song “They Not Like Us” then plays. No, seriously. We proceed to see some fighting, some drowning, some attempted stealing of the TNA Tag-Team titles.

In fact, the titles needed to be replaced with a small dumbbell to match the weight so a bomb doesn’t go off. “Twinkle twinkle little star” in a horror movie style starts playing as some more insanity ensues.

Ryan Nemeth arrives at some movie theater and sees himself in a black-and-white silent film with some other random old dudes. He ends up on a couch as a Hardy kid scribbles in a notebook and pretends to be Ryan’s psychiatrist.

Ryan takes it totally serious like he’s in a trance, admitting all of his past embarrassments. He ends up crying. Now Reby Hardy makes her cameo, showing off her ability to play the piano. Ryan approaches her and gets into an argument with the young Hardy daughter.

Ryan Nemeth thanks the gothic baby and turns into a fake-Sting looking Crow-style goth guy. He stands in front of a tree to do a comedy roast set. Another Hardy kid who can barely speak ends up bantering with goth-Nemeth while the non-existent crowd is loudly boing him off-camera.

Now we see Matt Hardy drowning Ryan Nemeth. That was all apparently in his head? Nic Nemeth appears holding the TNA tag titles telling Matt not to do whatever he was planning to do. Matt swims out of the pool and heads after Nic, who runs off with the titles. Some Hardy kid grabs Nic from behind.

Nic shoves him down to the ground. The horror music intensifies and Matt Hardy appears and attacks Nic, only to be attacked by Ryan Nemeth from behind. Jeff Hardy appears and walks in slow-motion with white contact lenses in. The Nemeths appear to get away with the TNA tag titles

It was as nutty as it sounds, and as you probably expect if you’ve seen any Hardy Compound stuff in the past. It was also way longer than it needed to be, also probably as long as you’re expecting if you’ve seen any Hardy Compound stuff in the past. The show heads to another commercial break.

Trey Miguel Makes A Call To Sean Waltman

When the show returns, Trey Miguel and Ace Austin are shown backstage. They talk about The System causing chaos as always. Austin says he can’t lean on Chris Bey, for obvious reasons.

Miguel mentions how they took out Zachary Wentz. Miguel grabs his cell phone and calls Sean Waltman. He says, “Hey O.G…Yeah, this is that call.”

Tessa Blanchard vs. Missa Kate

Back inside the Impact Zone, Tessa Blanchard’s theme hits and she makes her way to the ring for advertised one-on-one action. Her opponent, Missa Kate, is already in the ring waiting.

The bell sounds and off we go. Blanchard immediately overwhelms Kate and takes the early offensive lead. Kate gets Blanchard’s attention with a chop that echoes throughout the building. Blanchard quickly makes her pay for it.

Blanchard continues to dominate for another minute or so, eventually hitting her finisher and then Masha Slamovich’s Buzzsaw finisher on Kate for the easy win.

Match Result: Tessa Blanchard defeated Missa Kate

After the match, she glares into the camera, only to be attacked from behind by Slamovich. The TNA Knockouts Champion beats Blanchard down, secures her arm and cranks on it big time.

Slamovich ends up staring down Blanchard on the ground at ringside as her theme hits to wrap up the eventful post-match segment.

Eric Young Offers Steve Maclin His Help “For The Last Time”

We see highlights from TNA Unbreakable of Steve Maclin becoming the first-ever TNA International Champion. After that, we cut to a cinematic experience-style segment, where Maclin is sitting at a camp fire having a drink with Eric Young.

Young congratulates him on winning the title and tells him this isn’t a threat, but he wants to make it clear this is the last time he’s going to offer his help. Maclin tells him he’ll see him in Los Angeles at TNA Rebellion and walks off.

Young throws some pictures and notes in the fire and doesn’t seem so high on Maclin after all. The show heads to another commercial break.

Looking Back At Joe Hendry’s WrestleMania Week

When the show returns, a quick video trailer airs promoting the TNA Rebellion 2025 pay-per-view this weekend in Los Angeles, CA.

After it wraps up, an extended video package airs showing Joe Hendry’s surprise appearance at WrestleMania 41 as Randy Orton’s opponent.

Additionally, highlights are shown of his follow-up appearance on the post-Stand & Deliver 2025 episode of WWE NXT on The CW Network from this past Tuesday night.

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry & Elijah vs. Frankie Kazarian & Ethan Page

It’s main event time!

But first, when the show returns from a commercial time out, Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt are shown on-camera to run down the updated lineup for Sunday’s TNA Rebellion 2025 pay-per-view at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Announced as the two Countdown To TNA Rebellion 2025 pre-show matches are Fatal Influence (Jacy Jane, Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx) vs. Rosemary, Xia Brookside & Lei Ying Lee in six-Knockout tag-team action, as well as the inaugural “Walk With Elijah” open challenge.

The “Call Your Shot” gauntlet winner, Frankie Kazarian, makes his way out and heads to the ring with his massive trophy in-hand. He settles inside the squared circle and is then joined by his partner for the final match of the evening, WWE NXT Superstar Ethan Page.

Elijah’s guitar strums and the crowd roars as he walks, like only Elijah can, down to the ring. The viral smash hit “I Believe in Joe Hendry” hits the house speakers next and everyone in the building stands on their feet and loudly sings along.

Hendry’s shoulder is heavily taped up, and bothering him so much at this point that he even struggled to do his dramatic turn to the camera for his ring entrance routine. The bell sounds to get the main event of the evening officially off-and-running.

Elijah and Kazarian kick things off for their respective teams. Elijah settles into the early offensive lead. After some more brief back-and-forth action, the show shifts gears and heads into a mid-match commercial break as the bout continues.

When the show returns, Hendry is selling his shoulder while taking it to Kazarian. He tags in Elijah, who picks up where he left off, taking it to Kazarian in the corner of the ring. Page tags in and takes over, and he and Kazarian enjoy several minutes in the lead.

Elijah is left isolated in the ring and unable to tag. Several minutes later, he finally buys himself enough time to make the much-needed tag. Hendry comes in off the hot-tag selling his arm. He hits a fall-away slam and grabs it.

He grabs Page for one, struggles, but muscles him up and hits it. Hendry clutches his arm again. Kazarian tries to attack from behind as the legal man, but Hendry takes him out and goes for the cover, only to get a count of two.

Kazarian looks for Fade to Black, but Hendry escapes and rolls Kazarian up for a two-count. Kazarian hits a splash off the ropes and goes for a cover of his own, but he too only gets a two-count. Hendry hits a cutter to Kazarian off the ropes.

Joe tries for a Standing Ovation but is unable to lift Kazarian, leading to Elijah tagging himself in. Kazarian reaches for a tag, but Ethan refuses to tag in. Elijah then delivers the Highwayman’s Farewell to Kazarian and secures the victory.

Match Result: Joe Hendry & Elijah defeated Frankie Kazarian & Ethan Page

    • ‘Mongo,’ his nickname from his NFL days, then joined up with Ric Flair and The Four Horsemen, competing in a WarGames Match and having a long-running rivalry with Jeff Jarrett. His issues with Jarrett led to McMichael winning the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship at Clash of the Champions XXXV.
    • On Feb. 8, McMichael was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2024, and he will be enshrined in Canton, Ohio, on Saturday, Aug. 3.
    • WWE extends its condolences to McMichael’s family, friends, and fans.

  • In an interview with NJPW’s English-language website, Nick Wayne explained what he wants to gain from competing in the Best of the Super Juniors tournament:
    • Honestly, just being in Best of Super Juniors is a dream come true. Ask anyone close to me — this has been my goal for years. But beyond that, I want to grow. I want to go to Japan and come back a better man, better wrestler. I want to soak in everything — the training, the matches, the fans, the culture. I’m treating every match like it’s the main event. I want people to see that I belong here, and that I have the potential to be not just one of the best juniors — but one of the best, period. A lot of my favorites — the legends — came through Japan, and I want to follow that same path.
  • Wayne named Hiromu Takahashi as someone he’s hoping to face in BOSJ:
    • Hiromu, for sure. That’s number one. He’s won this tournament so many times, and I’ve studied all of his matches. If I can get in there with him, put on something special — or even beat him — that would mean everything. Ninja Mack is another. We’ve wrestled in the U.S. a few times, and I know what he brings. He’s made a name for himself over here too, but he’s someone I’d love to share the ring with again in this setting. But Hiromu and [El Desperado]? That’s the dream.
  • Tony Khan told the Way of the Blade podcast that he talks to Bryan Danielson nearly every day:
    • I still work with Bryan Danielson. He’s still a big part of my office. He’s not on the show, and he’s been injured and maybe retired for good, but he’s never said he’s done for good, and I hope that there’s some possibility he will be able to return to wrestling from the injuries and the way he left, but he’s still a part of AEW, so I’m still very fortunate to work with Bryan. I talk to Bryan almost every day. He’s got a great mind for wrestling, and he’s somebody that I’m really pleased and blessed came into AEW and got involved with us. He’s a great person in and out of the ring, and he’s a great leader in AEW.

Joe Hendry on WrestleMania 41 match with Randy Orton: ‘I’m so proud of what we did’

Joe Hendry says he’s “so proud” of his match with Randy Orton at WWE WrestleMania 41 on Sunday.

Hendry was Kevin Owens’ surprise replacement against Orton on the show. The match went 3 minutes and 10 seconds, concluding with Hendry doing his signature pose before getting RKO’ed and pinned.

Hendry feels he and Orton gave fans a fun moment, though others have been critical of the TNA World Champion being defeated so quickly.

“I’m so proud of what we did out there,” Hendry told Ariel Helwani on Wednesday. “That shot of the spin around into the RKO, it’s now been made into a trading card. I think it was a really fun moment for the fans. To walk into the ring in front of 60,000 people, it was a huge moment for me and what an honor to share the ring with Randy Orton.”

When asked how Orton felt about the match, Hendry said:

“My understanding is that he was extremely happy with how it went. We clicked immediately, and we were on the same page, which was an awesome thing. He was so amazing to work with.”

Hendry noted that Orton doing a version of his spin at the end of the segment was a show of respect.

“At the end, when Randy does my spin and then does his pose, people who know what wrestling is know that was Randy giving his seal of approval.”

Helwani also asked Hendry about criticism that he was “buried” on the show.

“Ariel, if this is being buried, keep it coming,” Hendry replied. “We understood the assignment. At WrestleMania, we were the fun, the surprise. When you saw Randy’s promo after the match had taken place, that’s what he talked about, about this being fun.”

Our own Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez discussed Hendry’s WrestleMania appearance and what TNA Wrestling may receive in return on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio.

“In exchange for doing what they did with Joe Hendry, WWE will offer a surprise big star at the April 27 pay-per-view show in Los Angeles,” Meltzer said. “I guess a surprise big star from WWF probably would sell tickets without mentioning a name.”

Hendry is set to defend the TNA World title at TNA Rebellion on Sunday against Frankie Kazarian and Ethan Page in a triple threat match.

Meltzer suggested Randy Orton could be the WWE name appearing at the TNA event, while Alvarez noted LA Knight is a possibility.

Hendry’s full appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show is available below:

Joe Hendry returns to WWE NXT, confronts Oba Femi & Trick Williams

Joe Hendry has appeared once again in NXT.

Trick Williams was in the ring demanding a one-on-one match with Oba Femi when Hendry made a surprise appearance. The TNA Champion addressed Williams, saying he’s changed from the man he tagged with last year. Williams said he wasn’t the one that lost to Orton at WrestleMania. Hendry shot back that at least he wrestled at WrestleMania, and that he wouldn’t lose at Rebellion this Sunday.

Hendry told Femi that after Rebellion he has business with the NXT Champion. An angry Williams confronted both men, leading both champions to lay out Williams to end the segment. Backstage, Williams threw a fit and trashed the area, causing GM Ava to throw him out of the building.

At WrestleMania 41 Sunday Hendry made a surprise appearance, challenging Randy Orton who had no opponent after Kevin Owens became sidelined with a neck injury. Hendry was pinned in short order and after the match took another RKO from Orton.

Hendry is set to defend the TNA title against Frankie Kazarian and NXT star Ethan Page this Sunday.

Joe Hendry disagrees WrestleMania loss was a squash, teases WWE ‘megastar’ at TNA Rebellion

Image: WWE

While some fans felt it was wrong for TNA World Champion Joe Hendry to lose the way he did at WWE WrestleMania 41, he certainly doesn’t feel that way.

During an appearance on Busted Open Radio Monday, Hendry was asked about some of the online criticism for his defeat to Randy Orton after he answered Orton’s open challenge due to Kevin Owens’ untimely neck injury.

Hendry said “I disagree” with the negative notion, saying the offense was back and forth and to him, a squash would have been the bell ringing, him taking an RKO, and that being it.

“My job as TNA Champion and what defines this reign is business and getting as many eyeballs on TNA Wrestling as possible,” Hendry said, adding that John Cena once lost at WrestleMania in similar fashion.

“To me, that’s exactly as it should have gone,” Hendry said, noting that both John Cena and CM Punk said the same to him afterward and he felt going longer would have been detrimental.

“There’s no shame in taking the RKO and losing to a legend like Randy Orton,” Hendry said, noting earlier in the interview that he was “chill” the entire day until seeing the video package before the match.

Hendry declined to reveal when he got the call to be in the match, only saying it was difficult to keep it to himself. He later joked he didn’t eat much “for a week” and that he was in full disguise getting into Allegiant Stadium, given his unique t-shirt and WrestleMania 41 boot patch while hidden in a room.

WWE “megastar” appearing at TNA Rebellion?

While there is nothing new with WWE NXT wrestlers appearing on TNA TV and vice versa, a WWE main roster talent appearing in TNA as part of the partnership would be.

Hendry will defend the TNA title this Sunday at Rebellion against Frankie Kazarian and NXT’s Ethan Page in a triple threat — a pay-per-view that may also feature what Hendry says is a “WWE megastar.”

“We don’t need to reveal who it is, but I know (Tommy Dreamer) knows who I’m going to be speaking about here because this person told me that you guys had a conversation. You said you wonder who might show up at Rebellion. One of the WWE megastars, who has a tour bus, told me they wanted to show up to Rebellion with their tour bus,” said Hendry. “We’ve got WWE megastars who want to get involved.”

Triple H sees ‘bright future’ for TNA star Joe Hendry

Paul “Triple H” Levesque sees a bright future ahead for TNA star Joe Hendry — one that will include more WrestleMania moments.

The TNA World Champion made his surprise WrestleMania debut by answering Randy Orton’s open challenge on Sunday night. It was originally supposed to be Orton vs. Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 41, but Owens had to be pulled from the show due to a neck injury that requires surgery.

Explaining his thought process at the post-show press conference, Levesque said he chose Hendry as Orton’s opponent to provide a fun moment that was different from the originally intended Orton vs. Owens story. A late replacement was not going to match the intensity WWE had been building for the Orton vs. Owens feud, so they went in a different direction entirely.

“In this case with Randy Orton, the storyline, the angst of where we were with Kevin Owens piledriving Randy Orton — him being out for months, him finally coming back. There was just so much anger and aggression there. You really needed something different to make that,” Levesque said. “And I saw a lot of predictions of who it was going to be and what it was going to be. Just incredibly difficult to try to put somebody in the spot to fill that in. It has to be a completely different scenario, and that’s where Joe Hendry came in. And to me was the perfect opportunity to put him in there.

“It allowed Randy to go from being the ‘voices in his head angry, crazy Randy Orton’ to ‘I’m going to have some fun and I’m going to make this kid and I’m going to still showcase what I do and I’m going to leave him better than he came in.’ It was the right thing, right moment, right time, in the right spot in a show that had a lot of incredible action to still get incredible action, have a ‘holy crap’ moment, and sort of take you on that rollercoaster ride of everything being up here and give me something different, something fun, something entertaining. This was the perfect spot for it.”

The match went three minutes before Orton won with an RKO out of nowhere. He and Hendry then shared a moment of respect after the match before Orton had fun by dropping Hendry with another RKO.

Levesque praised the 36-year-old Hendry as a great talent and entertainer, sharing that he told Hendry before the match that Hendry will be back at WrestleMania again in the future.

“And I will just say: I love Joe Hendry. He’s a great talent, great entertainer, smart, respectful to what we do. Like, he’s got a bright future,” Levesque said. “And I was really, really happy that we could put him in this spot and showcase him for everybody on a bigger platform in the world. I told him, right before he walked out, I said, ‘You will be here again, so enjoy this one because the pressure gets heavy from here. This will be the easiest WrestleMania you ever do, and you will do more.'”

Hendry appeared with his TNA World Championship belt at WrestleMania, but it was not on the line. He has a title defense coming up at this Sunday’s TNA Rebellion pay-per-view, facing off against Frankie Kazarian and NXT wrestler Ethan Page in a three-way match.

Over the past year, Hendry’s “I Believe in Joe Hendry” theme music has gone viral on social media, helping to grow his popularity with wrestling fans. He had an NXT run in 2024 and worked his first WWE main roster match this February as a surprise Royal Rumble entrant. These appearances have been able to happen due to WWE and TNA Wrestling’s partnership.

WWE WrestleMania night two notes: More celebrities, announced attendance

Here are some news and notes from Sunday’s second night of WWE WrestleMania 41 action from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Celebrities in the house

Much like during night one, a large amount of celebrities and luminaries were shown on-screen for the second night.

The list included comedian Tony Hinchcliffe who will host The Roast of WrestleMania Sunday night; musicians Flavor Flav, Ava Max, Quavo, and Rich The Kid; music producer Metro Boomin; Jahmyr Gibbs of the NFL’s Detroit Lions; former UFC two-division champion Daniel Cormier, current UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili and UFC fighter Colby Covington; boxer Terence Crawford, and actors Dean Norris, Vanessa Hudgens (also at night one), and Rana Daggubati.

Additionally, Slayer guitarist Kerry King played Damian Priest down to the ring. King plays the guitar for Priest’s entrance theme with his South of Heaven finisher named for a Slayer song.

Attendance

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin was the legend designated to give the attendance for the evening: a sold-out 63,226 and a two-night attendance of 124,693. As of 4 PM EST, WrestleTix reported just over 60,000 distributed with a setup of just over 60,000.

Much like night one, the announced number is shy of the 63,969 for the 2024 Vegas Kickoff Classic between USC and LSU but more than the 61,629 announced for that same year’s Super Bowl. Night one’s attendance was announced as 61,467.

Before he did that, he managed to drive his four-wheeler into a barricade which appeared to knock a woman down. After Austin did his business, WWE head Nick Khan was seen checking on the woman.

WrestleMania Debuts

After Jacob Fatu, Tiffany Stratton and Rey Fenix made their official WrestleMania debuts Saturday, even more made their first in-ring appearance on the big stage Sunday.

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry answered the open challenge to take on Randy Orton following Kevin Owens’ neck injury. Even though he isn’t under WWE contract, it’s the second major PLE Hendry has appeared at in 2025 following his debut at the Royal Rumble.

After Fenix debuted Saturday, Penta made his debut Sunday, failing to win the WWE Intercontinental title in a four-way. That match featured Bron Breakker, who also made his WrestleMania debut in losing the belt to Dominik Mysterio.

Reigning Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria made her WrestleMania debut memorable by winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles with the returning Becky Lynch.

TNA Champion Joe Hendry answers Randy Orton’s WWE WrestleMania 41 challenge

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry was in action at WrestleMania 41 night two, answering Randy Orton’s open challenge.

Hendry made his surprise WrestleMania debut in a loss to Orton at Sunday night’s event in Las Vegas. Though Hendry entered with his TNA World Championship belt, it was not on the line in this impromptu matchup. They wrestled for three minutes until Orton got the win with an RKO out of nowhere as Hendry was posing.

After the match, Orton showed respect to Hendry and gave him a moment in front of the crowd — before dropping him with another RKO.

It was originally supposed to be Orton vs. Kevin Owens tonight, but Owens had to be pulled from the WrestleMania card due to injury. Owens announced on SmackDown earlier this month that he’s been dealing with a neck injury and needs to undergo surgery.

Insisting that he still wanted a WrestleMania match, Orton issued an open challenge for anyone to face him. WWE kept his opponent a surprise until Hendry’s music hit.

Hendry’s popularity has grown over the past year with his “I Believe in Joe Hendry” theme song going viral on social media. With the partnership that exists between WWE and TNA, Hendry made several NXT appearances in 2024 and was later a surprise entrant in the 2025 Royal Rumble.

Hendry became TNA World Champion this January — and his next title defense will be at TNA’s Rebellion pay-per-view next Sunday (April 27) in a three-way match against Frankie Kazarian and NXT wrestler Ethan Page.

TNA Unbreakable live results: Joe Hendry & Masha Slamovich team up

After a two-hour edition of Impact, TNA returns live with Unbreakable, their latest streaming special, emanating live from Las Vegas, Nevada, as part of WrestleMania week.

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry teams with Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich against Frankie Kazarian and Tessa Blanchard. Hendry will defend his title against Kazarian and NXT’s Ethan Page at the upcoming Rebellion while Slamovich will defend against Blanchard.

In a barbed wire massacre match, Sami Callihan will take on Mance Warner.

Two International title three-way tournament bouts are on tap. In one, it will be Steve Maclin vs. Eddie Edwards vs. Ace Austin while in the other, Eric Young takes on JDC and Zachary Wentz. The two winners will advance to the three-way final later in the evening against AJ Francis to crown the new International Champion.

An open challenge from X-Division Champion Moose, and Mustafa Ali and the Nemeth brothers vs. Mike Santana and The Hardys round out the show.

**********
Eric Young defeated JDC and Zachary Wentz to qualify for the TNA International Championship three-way

The cold open video package kicks the show off, and then Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt welcome the viewing audience into the Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas, NV. The familiar sounds of Eric Young’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring for the opening contest.

Out next is JDC of The System, followed by Zachary Wentz of The Rascalz. The bell sounds to get the first of two qualifying matches for the first-ever TNA International Championship bout later in the show underway.

JDC and Young chase Wentz around the ring trying to team up on him out of the gate, but Wentz avoids them and then taunts JDC with a Fandango dance. Young and JDC finally get their hands on Wentz and double-team him in the corner.

He kicks his way free and then hits a spinning senton off the middle rope onto both of them. They roll out to the floor, where he hits a moonsault to both off the ropes. In the ring again, Wentz hits a cross-body splash onto both for a double-pin attempt that results in a two-count.

After kicking out, the JDC and Young alliance reemerges and they shift the offensive momentum back in their favor. JDC is the first to break the alliance, hitting a DDT on Young while slamming Wentz. Wentz fires up on offense in a big way, but ultimately Young takes over and hits a piledriver for the win.

Match Result: Eric Young defeated JDC and Zachary Wentz

Steve Maclin defeated Eddie Edwards and Ace Austin to qualify for the TNA International Championship three-way

After a quick on-camera check-in from Hannifan and Rehwoldt at ringside, we head back to the ring for the final qualifier to determine the third and final competitor in the inaugural TNA International Championship match later in the show.

Ace Austin of ABC makes his way out first. He is wearing the special Chris Bey Unbreakable limited t-shirt, 100% of the proceeds of which go to Chris Bey’s recovery. The System’s Eddie Edwards makes his way out next accompanied by Alisha Edwards.

“Bulletproof” Steve Maclin is the third and final competitor to make his way to the ring. Highlights are shown of Edwards beating Maclin and the drama that followed with Young and The Northern Armory. The bell sounds and the three stare each other down and then all trade strikes.

Maclin takes the early offensive lead. With Austin on the floor selling, Maclin takes Edwards to the top. He looks for a Super Olympic slam. Austin re-enters the ring and joins the fun for a three-man stacked spot. He hits a powerbomb on Maclin, at the same time Maclin is hitting his Olympic slam on Edwards.

Fans break out in a loud “This is Awesome!” chant after the stacked tower of destruction sequence. Edwards tries stealing the win with a roll-up and a handful of tights on Austin, but only gets two. Austin blasts Edwards with a spinning heel kick.

He heads to the top, but Alisha Edwards knocks him down. The crowd boos and breaks out in a loud “F**k The System” chant. The second of the night for those keeping score. Edwards climbs up to Austin and hits a belly-to-back suplex. He ends up hanging by one foot in the corner.

The referee and Maclin quickly try and help Edwards escape. Alisha hopped on the apron as well to help. They free him and then Maclin goes for K.I.A. on Edwards, only for Alisha to hop on the apron. They jaw at each other. Alisha goes for a smack but accidentally hits Eddie.

Eddie turns into a K.I.A. from Maclin, who follows up with the pin. With the win he qualifies for the TNA International Championship match against Eric Young and AJ Francis later in the show.

Match Result: Steve Maclin defeated Eddie Edwards and Ace Austin

Moose defeated Sidney Akeem in an Open Challenge

Shawne Merriman, the CEO of Lights Out Fighting appears to promote his May 10 special event in Long Beach, California. The former NFL player, who himself is no stranger to TNA, joins Hannifan and Rehwoldt.

After promoting his show, they bring up his history in costing Joe Hendry a match a year ago. He says he’s not a believer. The crowd boos. They promote the next match, which they mention features another former gridiron great.

With that said, TNA X-Division Champion and member of The System, Moose, makes his always-epic ring entrance. Alisha Edwards accompanies him to the ring for his scheduled open challenge to “the greatest high-flyer in Las Vegas.”

After the champ settles in the ring, after a delay, the theme for his opponent hits and out comes Sidney Akeem, formerly known as Reggie and Reginald in WWE. Moose smiles. The bell sounds to get things started and within seconds Moose is manhandling and overpowering his smaller opposition.

Akeem gets a chance to show off his flipping ability a time or two before Moose begins showing off his power some more, Donkey Kong’ing the former WWE Superstar onto any surface he can find, including a powerbomb from the floor to the ring apron.

Moose heads over to pound fists with Merriman on commentary before going back to work on the much smaller Akeem. Akeem gets in another hope spot and celebrates with the UNLV Hockey team in the crowd, the team that was publicly invited to the show.

Moose takes over and shoves one of the hockey guys, who shoves him back. Looked eerily similar to Bam Bam Bigelow and Lawrence Taylor from WWE’s past. Akeem shows off his acrobatic abilities again, flipping into a cool cutter.

Akeem follows up for a close pin attempt that only ended because Alisha pulled the referee out of the ring. The referee and Alisha bicker at ringside for what feels like forever before the ref ultimately ejects her from ringside for a big pop. Moose low-blows Akeem in the ring before the ref returns.

Moose follows up with a massive spear that nearly beheads Akeem. He goes for the cover and gets the easy 1-2-3 for the pinfall victory in a match that featured as many bells and whistles as one could possibly imagine. They thank Merriman on commentary and he heads off.

Match Result: Moose defeated Sidney Akeem

Steve Maclin Approaches Eric Young Ahead Of TNA International Title Tilt

Backstage, Steve Maclin tries to have a buddy-to-buddy chat with Eric Young about their friendship. He tells them may the best man win in the TNA International Championship match they are both in along with AJ Francis tonight.

He walks off and Young mumbles something under his breath about the best man winning, with a not-so-friendly look on his face. We see a “TNA Injury Report presented by Bioflex” covering Joe Hendry’s injury status.

Mike Santana, Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy defeated Mustafa Ali, Nic Nemeth & Ryan Nemeth

Back inside the arena, the theme for Mustafa Ali hits and out he comers for the next match of the evening, a featured six-man battle. His partners, The Nemeth Brothers duo of Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth, come out next.

Mike Santana makes his way through the crowd, Jey Uso minus-the-YEET-style. The iconic sounds of The Hardy Boys theme hits next to bring out his partners, the legendary duo of Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy. The bell sounds to get things started, and immediately Matt and Nic pick up where their bloody cage post-match beatdown left off.

The others enter the mix and it’s total chaos to get things started. When the dust settles and the smoke clears, Santana is beating on Ryan Nemeth in the corner as the legal two men in the ring. Ali tags in, but so does Matt, and he bounces Ali’s dome off the turnbuckles to chants of “DELETE! DELETE!”

Matt ends up isolated in the ring for several minutes as Nic, Ryan and Mustafa take turns tagging in and out to keep a fresh man at him at all times. Even that isn’t enough, as they begin sneaking in double-team and other cheap heel tactics behind the referee’s back.

Eventually, Jeff Hardy gets the much-needed hot tag and he immediately begins shifting the offensive momentum in his team’s favor. He hits a big Whisper in the Wind off the ropes to take out all three opponents.

Others filter in. Santana hits a Rolling Buck 50 but walks into a DDT from Ryan, who walks into a Twist of Fate from Jeff. Ali rolls in with a neckbreaker on Jeff. Ali backs into Santana and does the slow turn. Santana grabs him by the hair and throws him in the corner, but runs into a big kick.

Ali rolls for a big move but Santana sees it coming and plants him into the mat. He goes for Spin the Block, but Ali rolls to the floor. Santana hits a flipping dive over the top rope to take out Ali at ringside. Ali runs away to the back. Santana follows after him.

In the ring, Ryan tries rolling up Jeff, but only gets two. He hits The Big Hollywood Ending and goes for another pin attempt, but it is broken up. Matt is sent into the steel post at ringside by Nic. This leaves Jeff alone with The Nemeths in the ring.

Santana runs down and hits STB on Nic. Matt hits Twist of Fate on Ryan in the ring. Jeff takes his shirt off and heads to the top. He connects with his Swanton Bomb for the pinfall victory in a very crowd-pleasing match.

Match Result: Mike Santana & The Hardys defeated Mustafa Ali & The Nemeth Brothers

Celebrities In The House At TNA Unbreakable

Victoria Crawford (Alicia Fox) is shown in a cameo appearance in the crowd. Singer Debbie Gibson is also shown in the crowd. From 90 Day Fiancee on TLC, Tim Malcolm is also in the house. “The stars are out in Vegas at Unbreakable.” I guess so.

Joe Hendry & Masha Slamovich defeated Frankie Kazarian & Tessa Blanchard

It’s time for another featured bout, as Frankie Kazarian makes his way to the ring, followed by Tessa Blanchard. For their opposition, the ring walks are reversed.

The female portion of the team, TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich coming out first, and of course TNA World Champion Joe Hendry coming out last. The crowd, as expected, goes bonkers for TNA’s hottest rising star.

As the bell sounds, the commentators immediately focus on the medical tape on the injured shoulder of Hendry. Slamovich tries starting things off, but Blanchard avoids in. Kazarian comes in, so Slamovich tags in Hendry. The “We Believe!” chants spread like wildfire as the less-than-100% Hendry gets ready.

Kazarian stops and leans through the ropes. He insists that the ring announcer re-introduce him. McKenzie Mitchell does so, informing the crowd, per Kazarian’s demand, that he is, in fact, “The King of TNA.” Kazarian hits Hendry with a cheap shot but then Hendry shoulder-blocks him down to the mat.

Hendry sends Kazarian into the ropes, Kaz ducks and hits the ropes, only to run back into a perfectly timed knee lift that even Harley Race would be proud of. Kazarian tries bailing to the floor, but is met by Slamovich, who blasts him with some forearms and rolls him back in.

Blanchard finally tags in and takes over. The fans immediately get on her case — and bad. “F**k you, Tessa!” chants are the opening offering from the Vegas wrestling fanatics in attendance. Those quickly graduate to unmerciful “She’s a racist!” “You’re a racist!”

From there they got louder and evolved into the drawn-out, “Raaaacist! Raaaacist!” chants loudly aimed in her direction after anything she does. On the floor, Victoria Crawford, formerly known as Alicia Fox, gets involved briefly with Slamovich.

This allows the commentators a chance to crack insider jokes about her wild behind-the-scenes reputation in the past. Hendry takes over as the legal man and eventually finishes things off with the Standing Ovation for the win.

Match Result: Joe Hendry & Masha Slamovich defeated Frankie Kazarian & Tessa Blanchard

Santino Marella Makes A Falls Count Anywhere Match For TNA Rebellion 2025

Backstage, Mike Santana approaches TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella and tells him he’s had it with Mustafa Ali. Santino ends up giving him what he wants, which is a Falls Count Anywhere match at the upcoming TNA Rebellion 2025 show.

More Celebrities In The Crowd At TNA Unbreakable

Inside the arena again, Hannifan and Rehwoldt point out some more celebrities in the crowd. Morlon Greenword, President of the NFL Alumni Las Vegas Chapter, Andreas Hale from ESPN and Westside Gunn are some other celebrities shown in the crowd at TNA Unbreakable 2025.

Chris Bey Appears Live At TNA Unbreakable

Ace Austin makes his way out to the ABC theme for the second time in the evening. He does so this time to introduce a very special guest, his tag-team partner and friend, Chris Bey. Bey makes his way out on his own two feet, as the commentators point out.

Bey talks about 172 days ago he had an accident in the ring that changed the course of his life forever. He broke his neck and paralyzed himself. He gets emotional saying this. He mentions having a successful surgery but his future is still uncertain.

He says he was told it wasn’t clear if he would ever walk again. He smiles while pointing out that he is doing exactly that. The crowd goes wild. Bey points out Austin standing next to him and says he never left his side.

He says when you’re going through what he’s going through, you need a real brother. He says this man is exactly that. Fans break out in a “ABC! ABC!” chant. One person yells, “Greatest story ever told!” Bey responds, “There it is!”

He says outside of day one saying this will be the greatest story ever told, in his heart and mind, he never thought he was going to stand here again. He then reminded himself who he was. He listened and felt the energy from the fans. Because of that, he beat the odds.

Fans chant “You’re unbreakable!” He says he was able to do it because “We Believe!” He says, “Joe, I owe you $20 now!” A fan yells, “We Bey-lieve!” He says, “There you go, I’m gonna put it on a shirt now!” Fans chant that loud. He calls this the greatest story ever told, hugs Austin and heads off.

Sami Callihan defeated Mance Warner in a Barbed Wire Massacre match

The crew is shown working on setting up the ring for our next match, the sixth ever Barbed Wire Massacre in TNA Wrestling history. Hannifan and Rehwoldt mention viewer discretion is advised for the audience at home for this next contest.

The pre-match video package airs to tell the story leading up to this one. After the package wraps up, we return in the arena where the crew is finished up setting the ring up with all of the goodies for this unique match.

Mance Warner makes his way out first accompanied by Steph De Lander. The two head to the ring as the commentators continue to stress how violent this match is going to be, and how neither man is going to be the same coming out of it.

Sami Callihan makes his way out to a big pop. “The Death Machine” comes to the ring in a white button up shirt and tie, doing the “Bang Bang!” and all, in a clear homage to “The Hardcore Legend” Mick Foley. The bell sounds and Warner goes to work on Callihan.

Callihan immediately hits a Death Valley Driver on him through a barbed wire door laying in the corner. Literally seconds in. Hannifan freaks out and asks the camera man for a shot of Warner’s shoulder. Callihan grabs a barbed wire bat and smashes it on the ripped up left arm of Warner.

The camera finally shows it and it is a pretty gnarly chewed up pile of flesh. “Look at Mance Warner’s arm — dear god!” is the first reaction from Hannifan. A camera man hands a black bag to Callihan. Callihan pulls out a Nintendo 64 controller wrapped in barbed wire.

He cheese-grates it on the forehead of Warner. Fans break out in a “You sick f**k!” chants. Hannifan mentions No Mercy was his favorite N64 game, while Rehwoldt mentions Golden Eye. Warner’s face is now a bloody mess in addition to his arm. We’re about two or three minutes deep.

After some more madness, fans break out in an appropriate “This is Madness!” chant. That shifts to dueling “This is Madness!” / “We want more!” chants. They try a “We want fire!” chant. Calliahan runs himself through a barbed wire door. He spits blood up in the air and it falls on his own face. Disgusting.

A big ball of barbed wire is entered into the mix. Fans break out in bowling-related chants. Callihan yells at Warner to look at him as he grates it on his face. Warner ends up stuck in barbed wire. The referee has to cut him out.

Callihan goes for a Cactus Driver through a barbed wire board across two tables, but Warner avoids it. Callihan yells at Warner, “Come on b*tch!” We see a stunner into a barbed wire board for a “Holy sh*t!” chant. Callihan’s leg gets stuck in barbed wire just from backing up. The referee has to free him.

“The Death Machine” leans through the ropes and finds something that stops him in his tracks. He pulls out a lemon and wears a sadistic smile. Fans chant “You sick f**k!” He tears away padding that was put around Warner’s ripped up arm earlier in the match.

He squeezes the lemon and juice pours into the wound. He then grabs a bunch of salt. He lets it falls around him so fans know what it is. He smiles like a psycho again as fans break out in a “Salt in the wound!” chant.

Callihan then grabs a staple gun, pulls Warner’s tongue out and staples it to a barbed wire door. He breaks the barbed wire board stapled to his tongue with another weapon. He goes for the bag of salt but before he can use it, Warner low-blows him and then dumps the bag of salt in Callihan’s wounds.

Fans chant “You deserve it!” De Lander hands Warner a screwdriver. This is the dastardly weapon after balls of barbed wire, psycho video game controllers, lemons and salt bags? Callihan gets a big spike. They have a sword-fight type of stand-off. Fans hilariously chant “This is Wrestling!” They stab each other.

We see another stand off and this time they trade regular shots. Callihan grabs Mr. Socko and wraps him in barbed wire in another ode to Mick Foley. He then pays one final homage to him by hitting the Cactus Driver through barbed wire for the pinfall victory. That was absolute insanity.

Match Result: Sami Callihan defeated Mance Warner

Steve Maclin defeated AJ Francis and Eric Young to become the first-ever TNA International Champion

It’s main event time!

But first, Elijah comes out for some impromptu singing. He sings his “In TNA We Walk This Way” tune, while giving props in the lyrics to Chris Bey and the original three-way at Unbreakable 20 years ago. He promotes his Walk With Elijah Challenge for TNA Rebellion 2025 and off he goes.

Criss Angel “The Mindfreak” is shown in the crowd. Rehwoldt and Hannifan run down the updated lineup for TNA Rebellion on April 27 in Los Angeles, CA. After that, we return to the ring for our final match of the evening, where the inaugural TNA International Champion will be crowned.

AJ Francis of First Class makes his way out, as the commentators point out he is the only one of the three men involved in this match who is coming in fresh. He qualified well before tonight’s show, whereas his two opponents both earned their way into the match with wins earlier this evening.

Out next is “Bulletproof” Steve Maclin, as Hannifan and Rehwoldt remind the viewing audience at home of his on-again, off-again relationship with Eric Young, and how it has been going in recent weeks. His pre-match talk with Young backstage is also brought up.

The lights in the building go down and the bad-ass theme for Eric Young plays as he comes out last. He is by himself, as is Francis, with The Northern Armory not accompanying Young, nor KC Navarro with Francis. Who will become the first-ever TNA International Champion? It’s time to find out.

The bell sounds to get things officially off-and-running. Immediately Young and Maclin join forces to beat down Francis and throw him out to the floor. Now they are left alone in the ring. The commentators remind everyone how they agreed “The best man will win” between them tonight.

Francis recovers and tries to hop on the apron a couple of minutes later, only to again be blasted back to the floor, leaving Young and Maclin to duke it out. Several minutes later, the fans start to badly turn on the match, killing them with “This is boring!” chants over and over again.

In the corner, Young and Maclin are trading shots until Francis hoists both across his massive shoulders. He slams them both down and goes for the cover, but only gets a count of two. “AJ go away!” chants spread like wildfire. Francis hits TFL that sends Young to the floor.

He stalks Maclin in the corner, but Maclin moves and hangs Francis upside down in the tree of woe. Maclin hits a spear to knock Francis down. He goes for the K.I.A., but Francis counters. He looks for a Down Payment, but Maclin counters the counter. He hits the K.I.A. on Francis and covers him for the win.

Match Result: Steve Maclin defeated AJ Francis and Eric Young

BROKEN Matt Hardy Invites The Nemeth Brothers To The Hardy Compound

Backstage, The Nemeth Brothers find an invitation. Ryan Nemeth shows it to Nic Nemeth. He tells him to open it with caution. They open it and some CGI affects are shown on the screen.

BROKEN Matt Hardy appears and invites them to The Hardy Compound for a Final Deletion. That’s how TNA Unbreakable 2025 goes off the air. Thanks for joining us!

Big Vinny V Show: TNA finally reveals card for Unbreakable

With just a week to spare, TNA Wrestling finally revealed the card for Unbreakable, their WrestleMania week streaming special from Las Vegas, on last Thursday’s episode of Impact.

The big news is that despite recent injury angles, both TNA World Champion Joe Hendry and TNA Tag Team Champions The Hardys will be in action. But with Unbreakable and Rebellion airing only ten days apart, Impact was focused less on great wrestling last Thursday and more on promoting those two shows. How did they do? I will break it down on the latest Big Vinny V Show!

Big Vinny V: TNA Impact review with Joe Hendry injury & Ethan Page’s return

Image: TNA

TNA has brought back an old face to main event their next pay-per-view as former TNA Tag Team Champion and current WWE NXT star Ethan Page has returned to challenge TNA World Champion Joe Hendry at Rebellion.

I get into that on this week’s Big Vinny V Show.

At least, he will be if Hendry is able to compete as TNA announced he had suffered a shoulder injury after a show-opening brawl involving Frankie Kazarian and Elijah, an injury that seems awfully convenient for storyline purposes.

Also announced for Rebellion: Moose defending the X-Division title against some surprising names, and the Nemeths challenging the Hardys for the Tag Team titles. Oh, and we finally have something on the table for Unbreakable too.

We’ll get into the details on this TNA Impact review on the new Big Vinny V Show.

TNA Impact live results: Joe Hendry & Elijah in tag team action

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry will team with Elijah as a featured match on tonight’s edition of Impact — the fallout episode following last Friday’s Sacrifice.

The duo will take on former TNA Tag Team Champions Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards of The System.

After viciously attacking Matt Hardy after Friday’s ten-man cage match, Nic & Ryan Nemeth will address their actions.

In a rematch from last Friday, Mustafa Ali will go one-on-one with Mike Santana with everyone banned from ringside.

After dispatching NXT’s Cora Jade at Sacrifice, TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich will kick off the show to address what’s next for her.

Former TNA Tag Team Champions The Rascalz will battle Judas Icarus & Travis Williams of the Northern Armory.

Chavo Guerrero Jr. will appear on the show to join AJ Francis and KC Navarro in an interview segment while new Knockouts Tag Team Champions Ash & Heather by Elegance will celebrate their title win Friday and address NXT’s Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson’s surprise callout.

**********
Masha Slamovich, Tessa Blanchard & Jacy Jane Kick Things Off

After a recap video package looking back at TNA Sacrifice airs, the show opens inside a jam-packed El Paso County Coliseum with TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich coming to the ring. She gives Cora Jade props for coming to fight, but says it wasn’t enough.

She claims she’s on a new mission to prove she is the best champion in all of pro wrestling. She says her belt proves it, and she’ll defend it against anyone, anytime, anywhere. She says, “At Rebellion …” but before she can finish, Tessa Blanchard makes her way out.

Blanchard tells Slamovich she beat Jade, which is fine, but Blanchard could do the same in her sleep. She says it’s time she beats her and take what’s hers. As she continues taking, out of nowhere, Slamovich is attacked from behind by WWE NXT Superstar Jacy Jane.

A ton of officials hit the ring to break things up. As they do, the theme for Santino Marella hits and out comes TNA’s “Director of Authority” to a big pop and chants of his name. He tells Jane this isn’t how you conduct yourself in TNA. He says next week it’ll be Jane vs. Slamovich.

Santino turns and tells Blanchard that the world doesn’t revolve around her. He says Blanchard will be banned from ringside during the Jane-Slamovich showdown next week. After this wraps up, the show heads into the first commercial break of the evening.

When the show returns, a fired up Santino approaches “The Liaison” Arianna Grace and says he has to know ahead of time about things like this. She swears she didn’t know Jane was coming, and that she only knew of the same surprise Santino knows about for later in the show.

The Rascalz (Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz) defeated The Northern Armory (Judas Icarus & Travis Williams)

Back inside the Impact Zone, the theme for Eric Young hits and out he comes accompanying The Northern Armory duo of Judas Icarus and Travis Williams to the ring for the first match of the evening. He joins the gang on special guest commentary for this one.

Out next comes their opponents, The Rascalz duo of Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel. The bell sounds and things get officially off-and-running with Wentz and Icarus. Wentz takes the early offensive lead, however, Icarus tags in Williams and The Northern Armory settle into the offensive lead.

After several minutes on the defensive end of things, Wentz finally fights back into competitive form and gets the tag to Wentz. The two hit a back-to-back double-team high spot sequence, leading to Miguel scoring the pinfall. Eric Young comes to get involved afterwards until Ace Austin runs out with a chair.

Gia Miller Interviews Xia Brookside, Rosemary Interrupts

The show heads to another commercial break after the tag bout wraps up. When it returns, footage is shown of Rosemary spraying Xia Brookside in the eyes with the poison mist last week. Backstage live, Gia Miller introduces her guest at this time — Xia Brookside.

She asks how her eyes are. Brookside said the doctors told her that her eyes are fine, but she can still feel it. Gia asks her about nearly using a chain as a weapon, something very out of character for her. She says she always tries to fight fair, but then things like this happens.

Brookside says she knows Rosemary is trying to get into her head. As she continues talking, she is cut off by Rosemary in a video on the monitor behind her. Rosemary says Xia is finally starting to understand. She brings up Xia hesitating against Savannah Evans.

She tells Xia to get a partner and meet us in the ring. “We’ve got a little surprise for you!” Brookside tells Gia she will take her revenge tonight and that she has the perfect partner in mind.

First Class Penthouse With AJ Francis, KC Navarro & Chavo Guerrero Jr.

Inside the Impact Zone, the theme for First Class hits and out comes AJ Francis and KC Navarro to a chorus of boos from the El Paso crowd, as it’s time for the latest installment of the First Class Penthouse. They babble for only a few minutes before they are interrupted by Chavo Guerrero Jr.

The legend comes out and banters back-and-forth with them until quickly another theme hits and Frankie Kazarian comes out. AJ Francis asks what the hell is going on. Great question that could apply to any First Class Penthouse segment. Kazarian tells Chavo he remembers him costing he and Christopher Daniels the tag titles in 2012.

After they go back-and-forth for a bit, The Aztec Warriors duo of Laredo Kid and Octagon Jr. come out and a lucha tag bout is made for next week’s show, with the Aztec Warriors and Chavo taking on First Class and Kazarian. This madness wraps up and the show heads into another commercial time out.

Mike Santana defeated Mustafa Ali via Count Out

The show returns, the theme for Mustafa Ali hits and out he comes with The Cabinet banned from ringside for a TNA Sacrifice rematch. Mike Santana’s music hits next and out he comes through the crowd amped up and ready for some get-back.

As soon as they are in arm’s reach, Santana goes after him and hits a big dive on the floor. The bell hasn’t even sounded yet to get this officially started. Ali fights back, but Santana sends him flying onto and across the timekeepers table.

Ali tries fighting back and focusing his attack on the injured arm of Santana. The bell eventually sounds to make things official. After just a few more minutes of back-and-forth action not really going Ali’s way, he decides to walk out on the match.

Mustafa stops by Hannifan and Rehwoldt and talks into their headset, saying he is the one addiction that Santana will never be able to conquer. He walks off through the crowd waving and smiling at Santana as the referee counts him out. Santana gets the win by count out. The show heads into another commercial break.

Ryan Nemeth & His “Big Brother!” Nic Nemeth Explain Their Actions

When the show returns, Ryan Nemeth makes his way to the ring. He talks about his “Big Brother!” before calling himself the greatest brother in the world. He says Nic Nemeth finally did the right thing. He then introduces his big brother, whom he calls the best wrestler in the world.

“The Wanted Man” makes his way out to a ton of heat and boos from the El Paso crowd. Nic comes out with a similar John Cena heel face. Expressionless. No remorse for his actions. Fans chant “Hardy! Hardy!” as he settles in the ring. Nic begins, “They ain’t coming.”

Nic says “if everyone would shut up for a second, I’d like to say a few words.” He goes on to talk about how people have been talking about TNA again for about the past year. He connects that to when he arrived on the scene, and brings up The Hardys sneakily coming in and taking credit.

Leon Slater comes out and calls them crazy. He says someone needs to step up next week, and that he’s going to beat Nemeth’s ass right now. A brawl breaks out. Nemeth beats Slater down, leaving him lying in the ring. He and Ryan walk off as the show heads to another commercial break.

Xia Brookside & Lei Ying Lee defeated Rosemary & Savannah Evans

The show returns inside the Impact Zone to Rosemary’s theme playing. The red lights come on and out she comes to the ring. She settles inside and the entrance tune for her partner plays. Out comes Savannah Evans.

After the two heels make their way out, the theme for Xia Brookside plays and out she comes. She settles in the ring and then the lights go out. When they come back on, Lei Ying Lee’s name appears on the big screen. The crowd couldn’t have reacted less.

She makes her way out and some respectful cheers spread throughout the El Paso crowd. The bell sounds and Brookside and Rosemary kick things off for their respective teams. Rosemary decides against it and tags in Evans. Brookside shows her fiery side, taking it right to Evans.

Evans blasts Brookside with a big shot and tags Rosemary back in. Brookside fires up again and takes over, hitting Broken Wings on Rosemary in the corner. She follows up with a DDT for a two-count. Lei tags in, but she too finds herself mostly on the defensive.

After some more back-and-forth action, Rosemary accidentally sprays Evans with the mist. Brookside follows up. Lei goes to show off her strength, picking up Evans, but she appeared to drop her. She hits her Thunderstruck kick for the win. The show heads to another commercial break.

Championship Celebration By Elegance Interrupted By Multiple WWE NXT Stars

The show returns to George Iceman in the ring with a neck brace on. He introduces the new TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Champions Ash & Heather by Elegance. The duo make their way out to their Championship Celebration by Elegance, complete with a “$4,000 cake” and some “beefcake models.”

As Ash and Heather drone on, Ash demands her cake be brought over. She kneels down to make a wish, but the lights go out instead. WWE NXT Superstars Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson “cross the line,” coming out and telling the TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Champions that they are the best team in the women’s scene, regardless of promotion.

While they bicker back-and-forth, they are cut off by the entrance tune for former TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Champions Spitfire. Jody Threat and Dani Luna come to the ring wanting their immediate rematch. As they all talk, even more music plays. Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley “cross the line” and say they want a shot at the titles as well.

Ash throws a fit. Gigi tells her to kiss her ass. A big brawl breaks out with all of the ladies. Security rushes to the scene to break things up. TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella’s theme hits and out he comes to another monster pop. Next week it’ll be Ash & Heather vs. Gigi and Paxley. Spitfire are banned from ringside. Jackson and Legend are banned as well.

Jackson and Legend beat down some of the security. They get in Santino’s face and intimidate him. Arianna Grace comes out and says he might not have authority over him, but she does. She says there’s still banned from ringside next week. The show heads to another commercial break.

Mance Warner defeated Magno

When the show returns, Mance Warner’s theme hits and out he comes accompanied by the TNA Digital Media Championship-toting Steph De Lander. They head to the ring, where Warner will be in action in the next match of the evening.

His opponent, already in the ring, is Magno. He is introduced as from El Paso, TX., and gets a good pop as a result. The bell sounds and things get officially off-and-running with a bang, as Warner runs over Magno with a big lariat.

Seconds later Warner runs over Magno with another big shot. He follows up with a knee strike and after all of two minutes, maximum, Warner picks up the easy squash match victory. Poor Magno.

Steve Maclin Refuses To Join The Northern Armory

A video airs with Steve Maclin talking as quick-cut clips are shown of his recent interactions with Eric Young and The Northern Armory. He makes it clear that he didn’t like the look he saw in Young’s eyes, that he never wanted or needed his help, and that he will not join The Northern Armory.

Joe Hendry & Elijah defeated The System (Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards)

It’s main event time!

The theme for The System hits and out comes Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers, accompanied by Alisha Edwards. The trio head to the ring for the final match of the evening, a tag-team tilt in the main event.

After they settle inside the squared circle, the theme for the first of their two opponents hits, and out comes Elijah. He settles in the ring with his guitar in-hand, but before he can strum or play anything, the viral smash hit, “I Believe in Joe Hendry” hits and the crowd goes bonkers as the TNA World Champion emerges.

The bell sounds and Hendry and Myers kick things off for their respective teams. Hannifan points out today marks the 60th day of Hendry’s world title reign. Hendry takes the early offensive lead over Myers, showing off his power with a spinning powerslam.

Edwards tags in, but he doesn’t fare any better. Elijah tags in and takes over, picking up where Hendry left off. Hendry joins him in the ring when Myers tries to interfere. Both members of The System are knocked to the floor. Hendry and Elijah stand tall in the ring as the show heads to a mid-match commercial break.

When the show returns, The System are shown taking over, thanks to interference and distractions by Alisha Edwards at ringside. Elijah is kept isolated in the ring and away from his corner so he can’t make the much-needed tag to Hendry. He end up blasting Edwards with a big shot that buys him some time.

Elijah makes it to his corner for the tag to Hendry, just as Edwards tags in Myers. Hendry takes the hot tag and hits the ring with a ton of energy. The crowd comes to life as Hendry hits a pair of Fall Away Slams before doing his big dramatic head-turn.

He leads the crowd in a “We will rock you!” stomp-stomp-clap sequence as he looks to finish things off. Edwards hits the ring and knocks Elijah off the apron. Hendry is hit with a big spear by Myers for a close two-count. Edwards hits a splash on Hendry in the corner.

Edwards goes for the Back-Pack Stunner into a System Overload, but Hendry avoids it and counters with a Standing Ovation thanks to help from Elijah. Hendry goes for the follow-up cover and scores the pinfall to pick up the victory for his team. The two celebrate as Hendry’s theme plays. That’s how this week’s show wraps up.
