Jordynne Grace one step closer to earning pilot’s license

Jordynne Grace is one step closer to earning her pilot’s license.

Grace posted to social media on Saturday that she has passed her FAA Airman Knowledge Test, a written aviation exam administered as part of the pilot certification process. The FAA lists the private pilot airplane knowledge test as 60 questions, with a passing score of 70 percent. Grace posted an image of her test report showing that she received a score of 85 percent.

“I passed my FAA Airman Knowledge Test today 😭” Grace wrote.

Grace also responded to a few questions on social media about the test. She noted that there were only a few weather-related questions, which is what she spent the bulk of her time studying.

“They barely asked any weather questions, which is probably what I spent the most time studying. They asked about soft field landings multiple times, which I had zero knowledge of,” she wrote.

Jordynne Grace recent WWE matches

Grace hasn’t wrestled a match on SmackDown since losing a Women’s United States Championship No. 1 contender’s match to Tiffany Stratton on the April 17 edition from Las Vegas, Nevada.

She dropped a match to Lash Legend on the April 24 Main Event taping in Fort Worth, Texas, and on May 15 in Columbia, South Carolina, Grace lost a match to Blake Monroe.

WWE wrestler Jordynne Grace training to get pilot’s license

Outside of the ring, WWE SmackDown wrestler Jordynne Grace is working toward achieving a lofty goal.

Grace shared on Instagram that she has now completed more than six flight lessons as she prepares to get her pilot’s license. In the latest training session, Grace took off and landed unassisted without help from her co-pilot instructor. Her ultimate goal is to join the charity organization Pilots N Paws, whose mission is to have volunteer pilots “fly abandoned pets from kill shelters and rescue groups to safe shelters and forever homes.”

Before documenting this pilot’s license journey on social media, Grace waited until five lessons in when she was sure she would actually go through with the pursuit and not let nerves overwhelm her. She joked that wrestlers can sometimes succeed without knowledge and experience, but that is not an option for pilots.

“I’ve spent the past 16 years in a physically demanding career field where talent, knowledge, and experience sometimes matter, but mostly not,” she wrote. “But if you say you know how to fly a plane, the test is either pass or fail when you get in one.”

Formerly one of the top stars in all of TNA, Grace made her official WWE debut in 2025 and spent a year in NXT before being called up to SmackDown at the start of 2026. She was recently in the Women’s United States Championship mix but lost a number one contender’s match to Tiffany Stratton, who went on to dethrone Giulia for the belt.

Four matches to make for WWE Backlash | Opinion

With WWE Backlash less than two weeks away, just three matches have been made: Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu, Asuka vs. IYO SKY, and Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker.

Beyond those, several rivalries also deserve a spot on the Backlash match card, some emerging from the WrestleMania 42 fallout, and others gaining new momentum.

Here’s a few matches I hope are added to WWE Backlash over the next week.

The Vision vs. The Street Profits for the WWE World Tag Team Titles

Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford made their WWE return on the Raw after Mania, taking out The Vision who were attacking Seth Rollins.

This week, Joe Hendry kicked off his Raw debut with a concert, encouraging fans to sing “Can we fire Logan Paul?” The Vision interrupted his performance and Paul went on a rant, leading to the Street Profits intervening once again.

Backstage, Rollins approached Dawkins and Ford to extend his appreciation for their support the previous week. To his surprise, Ford cut him off midway, citing their focus is to win the World Tag Team Titles and are in no way interested to be friends.

That journey should begin next weekend.

Carmelo Hayes vs. Trick Williams for the WWE United States Title

Their storied rivalry dates back to their NXT days. From allies to rivals, Hayes and Williams battled it out on numerous occasions.

Hayes has established himself as a key member of the SmackDown roster with his United States Championship reign — the same reign that came to an end in March when Sami Zayn defeated him for the title and then lost it to Williams at WrestleMania 42.

With Williams also recently saying Hayes deserved a spot on the WrestleMania card, Hayes could step up and demand a match for the title at Backlash.

Jordynne Grace vs. Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s United States Title

Stratton ended Giulia’s second U.S. Title reign last Friday. Instead of doing a rematch, WWE should pit Jordynne Grace to challenge Stratton. After all, Strattong did pin Grace to become the top contender for the title. It would lay the foundation for a potential long term feud as well, and re-position Grace as the next big star on SmackDown.

LA Knight vs. Jey Uso

On Monday’s Raw, Knight questioned the Usos on their reunion with Roman Reigns. He proceeded to define Jey’s singles run and accomplishments when he exited The Bloodline. Knight is no stranger to their affairs as he challenged Reigns for the Universal title at Crown Jewel in 2023.

Jey told Knight to stay in his lane before Jimmy took over the conversation, saying that it’s family business.

In the second half of 2025, The Usos and Knight seemed to be united against The Vision. However on an edition of Raw in September, Jey snapped and speared Knight. A week later, he retaliated and the tension was deflected with their individual storylines diverging on different routes, but it was never resolved.

At Backlash, the two could finally settle their score in the ring and bring closure to their unfinished business.

Seven WWE stars who deserve a major push | Opinion

WWE WrestleMania 42 crowned new champions while also setting directions for future storytelling.

The Raw after Mania saw three new members added to the main roster in Sol Ruca, Ethan Page and Joe Hendry. While the first two competed in their first matches on the brand to showcase their skills, Hendry debuted on Raw live tonight with a live concert.

However, several other talents from the current roster could emerge as the new faces of the company this year if booked effectively.

Royce Keys

Keys made his SmackDown debut on April 10 against Berto, whom he defeated within minutes. Prior to this, he was competing in dark matches which he later revealed was intentional to familiarize himself with both his new home and new audiences.

He won the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal on SmackDown before WrestleMania. It’s barely the tip of the iceberg for Keys’ WWE run and with WrestleMania 42 behind them, the page has officially turned over for new talents to make their mark.

Despite competing in just three matches so far, Keys has the potential to transition from promising newcomer in WWE to top card contender. A gradual boost and development over random surges of top tier matches could help establish him as a dominant force on the roster.

Je’Von Evans

Evans is already a fan favorite for his energetic approach and in-ring agility.

During his short time on NXT, Evans faced Randy Orton which displayed his readiness for the main roster, and that also displayed the faith WWE officials in his run.

Evans was officially added to Raw in January and has since competed in marquee matches featuring top names of the industry. He also made his WrestleMania debut competing in the ladder match for the Intercontinental Title.

Carmelo Hayes

Hayes gained fans’ sympathy after losing the United States title in an abrupt manner to Sami Zayn barely a couple of weeks before WrestleMania 42 — a show Hayes didn’t wrestle at. While he seemed to be fairing well, the rushed title loss established himself as champion. The lack of prolonged payoff left fans feeling the title reign was cut short before it could fully develop.

Regardless of the setback, Hayes has received support from the WWE fanbase. A natural direction to solidify the buzz around him would be to put him against his former NXT ally/foe Trick Williams for the title.

If handled correctly, Williams vs. Hayes on the main roster could evolve into a top tier WWE rivalry in the long run.

Jordynne Grace

Grace built a rapport with fans when she debuted at the 2024 Royal Rumble while holding the TNA Knockouts Championship at the time.

Earlier this year, she was one of the many stars officially called up to SmackDown. She was briefly in pursuit of the WWE Women’s Championship, feuding with Jade Cargill. It didn’t turn out to be much though as Cargill was already in the plans to face Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania.

With more consistent exposure and some big wins, Grace could both be positioned as a strong contender and emerge as a top name in the women’s division.

Finn Balor

Balor’s grit as a competitor was overshadowed by the Judgment Day, but his exit from the group gives him more leeway to prove himself as a strong World title contender again. He already brought back his former entrance theme, The Demon, and his signature look from a decade ago.

Despite losing two World Heavyweight Championship matches to CM Punk, Balor’s resume still remains strong to regain his glory days from nearly a decade ago.

Also, given how WWE has been riding the nostalgia wave with returns and reviving gimmicks, Balor’s push once again to the top of the roster feels like a natural move, especially considering he was the inaugural Universal Champion at SummerSlam 2016.

Giulia

Giulia walked into WWE with an extensive career in Stardom and NJPW. However, that momentum was diminished shortly after her main roster move.

She competed in NXT for a year, won the Women’s title, and was also the winner of the Iron Survivor Challenge in 2024. With this groundwork, her main roster transition made sense, but the results haven’t been what even she would probably say she expected.

She has already proven her versatility to stand out on the main roster, so with proper booking and long-term presentation, Giulia could be demonstrated as a dominant opponent in the women’s division.

Tama Tonga

Last month, Tonga expressed displeasure at Solo Sikoa stealing Uncle Howdy’s lantern amid The MFTs feud with Wyatt Sicks. He has continued to question Sikoa’s leadership on a few occasions and the latter’s patience seems to be wearing thin.

Tonga debuted in WWE in April 2024, attacking Jimmy Uso to secure an alliance with Sikoa.

He has the capacity to be a strong contender on his own and an exit from the faction could make for deeper storytelling, a developed character arc, and targeting the U.S. Title to kick off a singles run.

Jordynne Grace reveals she is actively pushing for Paul Heyman angle

Jordynne Grace has revealed that she is “actively pushing” to become the first ever Paul Heyman Girl. It’s something that is covered in the MyRise story on WWE 2K26, but it appears as though she is desperate to actually make it happen on television.

Speaking to Aussie Heat PW, the former TNA Knockouts Champion revealed just how hard she is trying to push for Paul Heyman to become her mouthpiece:

“I’m actively pushing for it. My dream is to be a Paul Heyman girl, the first ever. So, [I’m] actively pushing for it. I’m messaging all the writers about it. All I need is someone like him and I’ll shoot straight to the top.”

Jordynne Grace as a Paul Heyman Girl

Grace is now on the SmackDown brand after officially joining the company in January 2025. It was clear prior to that how much WWE wanted her in the company, with Grace making multiple appearances on WWE programming whilst still the TNA Knockouts Champ at the time (both on NXT and at the Royal Rumble).

There’s currently no indication that WWE are going with a Heyman/Grace alignment in the near future, but it is clearly something that Grace wants and it would absolutely help her on the main roster.

Is the Paul Heyman Girl storyline happening on WWE TV?

No, not yet anyway. The pairing features in the MyRise mode of WWE 2K26, but there’s no indication WWE is moving in that direction on television. Grace’s comments make clear she’s lobbying writers directly, but a pitch from talent isn’t the same as a creative plan.

What brand is Jordynne Grace on?

She’s currently on the SmackDown roster.

When did Jordynne Grace sign with WWE?

Grace officially joined WWE in January 2025 after her TNA contract expired. She’d already been appearing on WWE programming before then, including a run on NXT and a spot in the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble while still the reigning TNA Knockouts Champion.

Jordynne Grace says she got in trouble for move used in Giulia NXT match

Jordynne Grace got in trouble in WWE for using a banned move in her match against Giulia on NXT last year.

Speaking with Adrian Hernandez, Grace revisited her No.1 contender match with Giulia for the NXT Championship in May 2025. She disclosed that while the bout received an overwhelming response from fans, WWE on the other hand was not too pleased. It was because she used the Michinoku Driver, a banned in-ring move restricted due to high-risk neck or spine injuries. However, the modified version is applied in WWE.

“I’ll give you a little behind-the-scenes information, we got in trouble for that match. They just said it was too much. I do the Michinoku Driver — at the time, I did not know that they don’t do the Michinoku Driver from Japan here. They do the one where you sit the person out all the way. I didn’t know that was a thing until after this match.”

Grace proceeded to praise Giulia and looks forward to rehashing their feud someday on the main roster.

“It was not taken very well but I loved the match. I love wrestling Giulia, she’s awesome. I cannot wait to wrestle her again. Those matches are really the best moments for me because that’s when the wrestlers really get to feel something, right? They feel like it’s real. It is real but it’s like real in that moment.”

Grace was one the few NXT talents who shifted to the main roster in January this year where she is associated with the SmackDown brand.

Barely ten days after their high-stakes NXT match, Giulia was announced as the newest member of the SmackDown roster in 2025. She is in her second reign as United States Champion.

On the April 17 edition of the program, Tiffany Stratton defeated Grace in a No. 1 contender match for the championship.

First time ever number one contender’s match set for WWE SmackDown

The next contender to WWE Women’s United States Champion Giulia will be determined on tonight’s WWE SmackDown — the final stop before this weekend’s WrestleMania 42.

Former WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton will take on Jordynne Grace for the first time ever in a number one contender’s bout, announced Friday afternoon. The date of the title match was not announced, but likely for next week’s SmackDown.

Stratton is coming off a late-March defeat to Giulia in a non-title match while Grace is coming off back-to-back wins over Candice LeRae (February on SmackDown) and Zelina (this month’s Main Event). Grace is looking for her first WWE title of any kind while Stratton last held the Women’s title in November 2025.

WWE SmackDown notes: Sami Zayn & Lil Yachty, Jordynne Grace, Danhausen

Notes from Friday’s WWE SmackDown.

Prior to the show Jordynne Grace made her in-ring return, squaring off against Zelina Vega in a match that will air on Main Event. Grace had been gone for the last month after suffering an ankle injury during a match against Alba Fyre that was also taped for the same show.

Later on SmackDown, Sami Zayn came out for a promo and declared that he didn’t care what fans thought about him because he only cared about those who had his back since day one. Trick Williams and Lil Yachty then arrived, with Williams promising he was going to whoop Zayn at WrestleMania.

During Williams’ match against Matt Cardona, the former NXT Champion dared Zayn to take him on. Zayn got on the apron but it was a trap, as Yachty tripped Zayn back to the floor. Zayn responded by laying out Yachty with the helluva kick on the outside. Williams was rolled up by Cardona due to the distraction but Williams quickly took out Cardona anyway with the trick shot for the win.

Danhausen wrestled his first match on Friday against Kit Wilson, who had the better of the mysterious new WWE star towards the end. However, Danhausen proceeded to curse Wilson again, leading to pyro bursting out of the turnbuckle and sending Wilson crashing to the ground. Danhausen then scored his first-ever WWE win with a running kick. After the match, the Miz popped up and looked to take out Danhausen, who proceeded to vanish before Miz could get to him.

Paul Heyman weighs in on a potential ‘Paul Heyman Girl’ in WWE

Paul Heyman is all praise for the women’s division and is honored to have collaborated with Jordynne Grace in WWE 2K26.

There is a storyline in the video game where Heyman manages Grace. Chris Scullion asked Heyman in his VGC interview whether the partnership with Grace in the video game was inspired by real-life decisions and whether she was a candidate considered to be the first ‘Paul Heyman Girl’.

He claimed to be a fan of Grace’s performances but pinpointing one name from the current women’s roster would be a difficult task given the level of talent across the division.

“I’m a big fan of Jordynne Grace, to say that there is a female in the locker room today that should be the first Paul Heyman Girl under the management and tutelage of Paul Heyman, would be a slight to the other women in this locker room.”

“There has never been a time in the history of WWE, professional wrestling, sports entertainment, or mixed martial arts that there has been such a ridiculously talented roster of females under one roof at the same time. I could sit here and run down all or actually I won’t even say ‘run down’ cause that’s a negative. Run up all the names that are on this roster. Start with Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill. You can go to Bianca Belair and AJ Lee. You can go to Nattie and Maxxine Dupri. You can go to Lash Legend and Nia  Jax. You can go to the Bella Twins. You can go to Liv Morgan. You can go to Raquel. You can go to, I mean my God! I can sit here for the next 20 minutes and rattle off these names. This is the most hyper talented group of women in history all under one roof.”

Heyman was a fan of WWE choosing Grace for the game collaboration. He added that it would be an honor to work with any of the wrestlers from the women’s division in the video game. He labelled them to be incomparable to any other sport or entertainment form.

“Jordynne Grace was the choice of 2K(26). A splendid choice. What a magnificent athlete and performer I’m honored that I have a chance to work with her within WWE 2K26. And there are many other women, too many to mention, even though I mentioned a few before, but too many to mention that I would be honored to work with within this video game. Because just like in real life, the women’s roster right now in WWE is incomparable to any other roster in any other sport or form of entertainment in history.”

Many of Paul Heyman’s managed talents have ultimately gone on to reach the top of the WWE pyramid, let alone in the industry.

Grace established herself on TNA before making her surprise Royal Rumble debut in 2024 as entrant #5. A  year later she officially signed with WWE and competed on NXT until January 2026 when she was moved to SmackDown.

Jordynne Grace shares what led to injury at WWE Main Event taping

Jordynne Grace has shared what led to her injury at Friday night’s WWE Main Event taping.

Fan footage from the show spread online showing WWE medical personnel attending to Grace in the ring as Alba Fyre had her hand raised by the referee. Grace later posted a photo of herself sitting in Chelsea Green’s wheelchair and wearing a walking boot.

On Saturday, Grace took to social media to post the moment from the match where she injured her ankle, writing, “My ankle glitched IRL.”

In the clip, Grace can be seen coming down awkwardly on her ankle while attempting to avoid Alba Fyre in the corner.

A clip of the injury is available here and below.

The extent of Grace’s injury is not currently known. She entered the match against Fyre after defeating Candice LeRae on the February 27 episode of SmackDown and losing a WWE Women’s Championship match to Jade Cargill on the February 13 episode.

WWE wrestler injured prior to SmackDown tapings

A wrestler was injured prior to the start of Friday’s SmackDown.

Footage on social media showed officials attending to Jordynne Grace following her match on Main Event against Alba Fyre. Shortly after, Grace posted a photo of herself in Chelsea Green’s wheelchair joking about the situation she was in.

“Well, at least there was already a wheelchair waiting,” she quipped.

The exact nature or the extent of Grace’s injury currently isn’t known.

After a stint on NXT, Grace was called up to the main roster in January, immediately starting a feud with Jade Cargill over the WWE Women’s Champi onship. On the February 13 edition of SmackDown, Cargill defeated Grace to retain the title. Two weeks later, she returned by defeating Candace LeRae.

Grace first achieved success in TNA, winning the Knockouts Tag Team titles and is also a multiple time TNA Knockouts Champion. During her time in the company, she became one of the first TNA stars to appear on WWE television while being a TNA champion. something She made appearances while under TNA contract in NXT until early 2025 when she signed with WWE.

Jade Cargill, Jordynne Grace trade shots online after WWE SmackDown segment

WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill and the newest member of the SmackDown roster Jordynne Grace appear to be headed for a match.

Grace defeated Alba Fyre in her first official match as a member of the main roster on Friday in Berlin. As she was walking to the back after her win, she was confronted by Jade Cargill, who told Grace that she was now on “her show.”

Grace posted a photo of her SmackDown confrontation with Cargill to social media, leading to several messages being exchanged between the two:

Cargill: “You left your glutes at home though.”

Grace: “Since a bitch is a female dog, it does make sense that you’re barking a lot.”

Cargill: “Okay little one…Calm down before I step on you.”
“Say it again. Maybe you’ll grow 💅🏾🥱 Correction : I’m THAT bitch”

When someone asked Grace about frequently having storylines regarding her physical appearance, Grace responded: “I don’t love playing into them. But they can’t say anything else about me. So let them have it.”

Cargill responded: “LAME. Girl you were talking about your arms being ‘bigger’ . Don’t play victim. And stop skipping your glutes.”

Grace: “I work out legs twice a week and don’t appreciate you making fun of my genetically concave ass”

Cargill: “Oh lord. She’s a victim. 🥱🥱. It’s been a murder.”

The exchange between Cargill and Grace is available below:

Jordynne Grace oficially joins WWE SmackDown roster

Jordynne Grace is officially on the main roster.

On Friday’s SmackDown, it was revealed that Grace had officially signed with the blue brand. She immediately got into a confrontation with Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre outside of Nick Aldis’ office, with the two squaring off in a singles match later in the night. Grace emerged victorious, but as she walked away Jade Cargill came out, telling the former TNA Knockouts Champion that she was now on “her show.”

The tease for Grace on the main roster started on last week’s SmackDown, when it was revealed she was the latest NXT talent to enter free agency. After a confrontation with Cargill, Grace told the WWE Women’s Champon that she was making her choice a lot easier.

In addition to Grace, Je’Von Evans and Trick Williams have also been signed to the main roster, with Evans singing with Raw and Williams becoming the a member of the SmackDown brand. There have been reports of other stars being considered for a main roster spot including Blake Monroe and Oba Femi, who vacated the NXT Championship on Tuesday.

Grace signed with WWE last year after making several appearances in the company as the TNA Knockouts Champion.

‘Free agent’ Jordynne Grace appears on WWE SmackDown as call-up appears imminent

Image: WWE

The call-up of Jordynne Grace to the WWE main roster appears imminent based on Friday’s WWE SmackDown.

Grace appeared in a backstage segment with SmackDown GM Nick Aldis who was courting Grace and wanting to make her part of his plans as the show expands to three hours. Grace said Aldis gave a lot to consider, but didn’t accept the offer.

Current WWE Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green interrupted the segment, leading Grace to say that “some people are going to make this decision a lot easier.” Green is set to defend the title against Giulia later on the show.

Grace has appeared on the main roster before, debuting in the 2024 women’s Royal Rumble. After a multi-year run with TNA, the 29-year-old officially signed with WWE in 2025 and competed in that year’s Rumble match as well. She has been solely in NXT during the last year, but has yet to win any titles.

Once confirmed, Grace would be the latest recent call-up including Trick Williams and Lash Legend.

Jordynne Grace shares photo of NXT main event aftermath

Jordynne Grace shared a photo of the aftermath from her match against Kelani Jordan on Tuesday.

Jordan successfully defended the TNA Knockouts title against Grace in the main event of NXT last night. In the closing moments, Jordan hit Grace with the title belt as the referee was distracted by the brawling Ricky Saints and Trick Williams.

Grace posted to X on Wednesday:

In his notes from Tuesday night’s show, our own Bryan Alvarez debated whether Jordan’s actions were a heel turn, or if she has already been a heel for some time now.

“I was watching this trying to figure out if we had yet another babyface match, but I cannot for the life of me tell you if Kelani is supposed to be a babyface or a heel,” Alvarez wrote.

After the finish to the match, he added, “I’d say this was a heel turn, but I’m not sure she was a babyface before this.”
