Full lineup revealed for Knockouts Ultimate X match at TNA Hard to Kill

All six competitors for the Knockouts Ultimate X match at TNA Hard to Kill have now been revealed.

Dani Luna is the sixth participant announced for the match, joining Gisele Shaw, Xia Brookside, Jody Threat, Tasha Steelz, and Alisha Edwards. The winner of the match will become the number one contender to the Knockouts Championship.

Trinity, the current Knockouts Champion, is defending her title against Jordynne Grace at Hard to Kill.

It was confirmed last month that Luna has signed a TNA Wrestling contract. She made her Impact debut in May of last year.

Luna was part of the NXT UK roster before being released by WWE when the NXT UK brand ended in 2022.

Luna is a member of Subculture with Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster.

This will be the second-ever Knockouts Ultimate X match in TNA/Impact Wrestling history. Steelz won the first Knockouts Ultimate X at Hard to Kill 2022.

Hard to Kill 2024 is taking place from the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas next Saturday (January 13). That night, Impact Wrestling’s name change back to TNA officially goes into effect.

This is the second time that a Knockouts Ultimate X match has ever taken place. Steelz won the first Knockouts Ultimate X at Hard to Kill 2022.

If there are six participants like the first Knockouts Ultimate X match, there’s only one spot remaining.

The winner of the match becomes the number one contender to TNA’s Knockouts Championship. Current champion Trinity is defending her title against Jordynne Grace at Hard to Kill.

The Grizzled Young Veterans making TNA debut at Hard to Kill

The Grizzled Young Veterans are coming to TNA Wrestling.

TNA shared a promo on Tuesday with The Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake) revealing that they will debut for the promotion at Hard to Kill 2024. Gibson & Drake declared that they’re coming for the Impact Tag Team titles.

“TNA has a long history of working with the top veteran teams in this industry, some for better and some for worse,” Gibson said. “We might not be the veterans that TNA are used to working with, but let me promise you this: we are the Veterans that TNA needs to work with to steer this ship in the right direction. Because God only knows teams like The Rascalz or The ABC are simply not the right men for the job.

“January 13, Hard to Kill, The GYV are coming to TNA. And we are coming for the TNA Tag Team titles.”

ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) are the current Impact Tag Team Champions. The Rascalz (Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz) are the other team that The Grizzled Young Veterans mentioned in their promo.

Gibson & Drake became free agents this October when they departed WWE. They had requested their release from the company in April, but the request was denied and they remained with WWE/NXT until their contracts expired.

The Grizzled Young Veterans are former NXT UK Tag Team Champions.

PCO vs. Dirty Dango added to TNA Hard to Kill

A new match announcement has been made for TNA Wrestling Hard to Kill 2024.

PCO and Dirty Dango will face off in singles action at the Saturday, January 13 pay-per-view in Las Vegas. Dango will be accompanied by Oleg Prudius (the former Vladimir Kozlov) and Alpha Bravo for the match.

TNA Wrestling wrote:

At TNA Hard To Kill, PCO will rise once again. Stepping up to the ‘French-Canadian Frankenstein’ will be the brash and arrogant Dirty Dango, who will surely inform the world of his feelings towards the sport of pro wrestling. PCO scored a dominant victory on the final IMPACT-branded event, Final Resolution and one can only imagine just how horrific his actions will be when the new era begins on January 13th.

It was revealed in October that PCO has signed a new TNA Wrestling contract. He defeated Moose, Rhino, and Steve Maclin in a Monster’s Ball match at Bound for Glory.

Dango has an anti-pro wrestling gimmick in Impact Wrestling.

Impact Wrestling officially rebrands back to TNA Wrestling starting with Hard to Kill. The PPV is being held at the Palms Casino Resort.

TNA has announced that Countdown to Hard to Kill will stream live exclusively on the TNA+ app starting at 7 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday, January 13. The 60-minute pre-show leads into the PPV portion of the card, which begins at 8 p.m. Eastern.

  • Eric Young & Frankie Kazarian vs. Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards (w/ Alisha Edwards)
  • Digital Media Champion Tommy Dreamer defends against Crazzy Steve

TNA also noted that they will be announcing perks for new TNA+ subscribers in the coming weeks.

TNA Wrestling and Endeavor Streaming have partnered together for the TNA+ app. There are two different price tiers for the service:

The ‘Special Attraction’ tier is priced at $9.99 per month or $95.99 per year and includes access to the full TNA/Impact Wrestling library and every TNA+ special event. The ‘World Championship’ tier is priced at $219.99 per year and includes those benefits as well as TNA’s four major annual pay-per-views (Hard to Kill, Rebellion, Slammiversary, and Bound for Glory).

Hard to Kill is taking place from the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas on January 13. That night, Impact Wrestling’s name change back to TNA officially goes into effect.

Triple threat X-Division title match booked for TNA Hard to Kill 2024

Chris Sabin will have two challengers for his X-Division Championship at Hard to Kill.

It was announced today that Sabin will put his X-Division title on the line against KUSHIDA and El Hijo del Vikingo in a three-way match at Hard to Kill on Saturday, January 13. The pay-per-view is taking place from the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

KUSHIDA is the newest addition to the Impact/TNA Wrestling roster. It was revealed earlier this week that he’s signed a contract with the company.

Though he’s now under contract with Impact/TNA, KUSHIDA has said that his relationship with NJPW will still remain the same.

Vikingo, one of pro wrestling’s brightest young stars, is the current AAA Mega Champion and has made frequent appearances for AEW/ROH. This will be his first time wrestling for Impact/TNA in the United States since 2020.

Vikingohas also been announced for TNA’s post-Hard to Kill television tapings in Las Vegas on Sunday, January 14.

Knockouts title match official for TNA Hard to Kill 2024

Trinity is officially set to put her Knockouts Championship on the line against Jordynne Grace at Hard to Kill.

Impact Wrestling has confirmed that Trinity vs. Grace for the Knockouts title will take place at Hard to Kill on Saturday, January 13, 2024. The pay-per-view is taking place at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. It marks the start of a new era with Impact Wrestling changing its name back to TNA.

Trinity vs. Grace became official for Hard to Kill after Trinity retained her Knockouts Championship against Deonna Purrazzo at Impact’s Turning Point special in the United Kingdom. Gail Kim was the special guest referee for the title bout. Following the match, there was an angle between Purrazzo and Kim. It ended with Kim laying out Purrazzo with Eat Defeat.

Grace earned a title shot of her choosing by winning the Call Your Shot gauntlet match at last month’s Bound for Glory PPV. Immediately after her win, Grace declared that she would challenge for the Knockouts Championship at Hard to Kill.

Trinity defeated Mickie James at Bound for Glory to remain Knockouts Champion. She’s held the title since July.

Digital Media title match official for Impact Hard to Kill

A new title match has been made official for Impact Wrestling’s Hard to Kill pay-per-view.

It was confirmed today that Impact Digital Media Champion Joe Hendry will defend his title against Moose at Hard to Kill on Friday, January 13. The PPV is taking place at Center Stage in Atlanta.

On last week’s Best of 2022 edition of Impact, a promo aired with Hendry calling out Moose for the title match.

“The Digital Media Title will be up for grabs when Joe Hendry defends against Moose at Hard To Kill. In a unique turn of events, it was the reigning champion Hendry who laid out the challenge for this championship showdown,” Impact Wrestling wrote. “The two have been at odds for weeks, ever since Moose ‘said his name’ on an early December edition of IMPACT. Hendry has been on a roll as of late, bringing a new level of prestige to the Digital Media Championship. But now he must face his toughest test, a former IMPACT World Champion in Moose. Brace yourself for this collision between two of the heaviest hitters on the IMPACT roster!”

Hendry won the Digital Media Championship by defeating Brian Myers this October.

Impact notes: New Hard to Kill match, year-end award winners

Even though Impact Wrestling had a year in review show Thursday, there was some news coming out of the promotion as a new bout has been added to Hard to Kill.

In a match to determine the next contender to the Knockouts title, Masha Slamovich will face Taylor Wilde and Deonna Purrazzo in a three-way. Slamovich recently lost to current champion Grace in a Last Knockout Standing match while Wilde and Purrazzo are former champions.

Grace will defend against Mickie James in a title vs. career match at the Friday, January 13th pay-per-view.

Additionally, Digital Media Champion Joe Hendry called out former World Champion Moose for a match at Hard to Kill, but it’s yet to be made official.

Bully Ray to challenge for Impact World title at Hard to Kill

The World Championship match is official for Impact Wrestling’s next pay-per-view.

Impact Wrestling has announced that Josh Alexander will defend his Impact World Championship against Bully Ray at Hard to Kill on Friday, January 13, 2023. The match was set up when Bully Ray attacked Alexander at Friday night’s Over Drive special.

The main event of Over Drive saw Alexander successfully defend his title against Frankie Kazarian. Following the match, Bully Ray blindsided Alexander, beat him down with a steel chair, and zip tied his arm to the bottom rope.

Alexander’s wife Jade Chung was in the front row and screamed for Bully Ray to stop the attack. Bully Ray pulled her over the barricade, threatening to piledrive her onto the concrete. Alexander managed to break free, but Bully Ray told him not to move. Bully Ray forced Alexander to give him possession of the Impact World title belt in exchange for not piledriving Chung.

Bully Ray defeated Moose in a tables match earlier in the night at Over Drive.

At October’s Bound for Glory PPV, Bully Ray returned to Impact Wrestling by winning the Call Your Shot gauntlet match. That’s how Bully Ray earned the right to face Alexander at Hard to Kill. During his attack at Over Drive, Bully Ray mocked Alexander for believing that he would keep his word and cash in the title shot honorably.

Alexander has been Impact World Champion since defeating Moose at Rebellion this April.

Hard to Kill is being held at Center Stage in Atlanta.

‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey to make Impact debut at Hard to Kill

With another change being made to the show’s card, “Speedball” Mike Bailey will make his Impact Wrestling debut at Hard to Kill tonight.

Bailey will face Chris Bey, Ace Austin, and Laredo Kid in a four-way match on tonight’s Hard to Kill pre-show. The pre-show starts at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time and will air live on YouTube.

Jake Something was originally announced for the four-way match before being replaced by Bailey.

Tonight will be the first time Bailey, who is from Canada, has wrestled in the United States since 2016. He had been unable to wrestle in the country due to visa issues.

It was announced last October that Bailey had signed with Impact Wrestling. It was said that Bailey would be debuting for the promotion in early 2022.

Bailey told Sports Illustrated that he accepted an offer from WWE before signing with Impact Wrestling, but WWE decided to go in a different direction before he ever signed a contract with them.

The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessica McKay) and Rachael Ellering were also removed from the Hard to Kill card in recent days.

Impact announced that The IInspiration were pulled from tonight’s show as a precautionary measure due to having close contact with someone who later tested positive for COVID-19. They were scheduled to defend their Knockouts Tag Team titles against The Influence (Madison Rayne & Tenille Dashwood) tonight.

Ellering has been replaced by Alisha Edwards in tonight’s women’s Ultimate X match.

The updated card for Hard to Kill is listed below:

  • Impact World Champion Moose defends against Matt Cardona and W. Morrissey in a triple threat match

The IInspiration off Impact Hard to Kill due to COVID-19 exposure

A title match has been pulled from the Hard to Kill card due to COVID-19 exposure.

Impact Wrestling announced today that The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessica McKay) will miss Hard to Kill due to being in close contact with someone who later tested positive for COVID-19. It was noted that, out of an abundance of caution and with the health of their co-workers in mind, Lee & McKay will self-isolate this weekend.

The IInspiration were scheduled to defend their Knockouts Tag Team titles against The Influence (Madison Rayne & Tenille Dashwood) at Saturday’s pay-per-view.

Lee & McKay won the titles from Rosemary & Havok at Bound for Glory last October. The match was Lee & McKay’s debut for Impact Wrestling.

Lee & McKay signed with Impact Wrestling after being released by WWE in April 2021.

“Impact’s COVID protocols are in place to keep our talent roster, staff and fans safe,” Impact Wrestling executive vice president Scott D’Amore said. “I am sure the fans will share The IInspiration’s and my disappointment that they won’t be in action at tomorrow’s stacked HARD TO KILL event, but we look forward to their return soon.”

The winner of the Ultimate X match will get a future shot at the Impact Wrestling Knockouts Championship. Mickie James currently holds the title and is set to defend it against Deonna Purrazzo in a Texas death match at Hard to Kill.

A stipulation has also been added to Trey Miguel and Steve Maclin’s match for the X-Division Championship on Saturday. If Maclin fails to win the title, he won’t get another shot as long as Miguel is champion.

Jonathan Gresham to defend ROH World title at Impact Hard to Kill

The Ring of Honor World Championship is set to be defended in Impact Wrestling for the first time ever.

It was announced today that ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham will put his title on the line against Chris Sabin at next month’s Impact Wrestling Hard to Kill pay-per-view. The PPV is being held at The Factory in Deep Ellum in Dallas on Saturday, January 8.

Earlier this month, Gresham became ROH World Champion by defeating Jay Lethal at ROH’s “End of an Era” Final Battle PPV. Gresham was originally supposed to challenge Bandido for the title at the show, but Bandido was pulled from the card due to testing positive for COVID-19. The ROH World title was declared vacant with Bandido unable to wrestle at Final Battle.

Gresham’s first title defense took place at GCW’s Blood on the Hills last Friday. He defeated AJ Gray in a Pure Rules match.

Gresham is also scheduled to defend the ROH World Championship against Blake Christian at The Wrld on GCW in New York City on Sunday, January 23. That show is GCW’s Hammerstein Ballroom debut.

With ROH going on hiatus for the first quarter of 2022, Final Battle and the post-Final Battle edition of ROH Week By Week featured tribute videos from members of the AEW and Impact Wrestling rosters who used to wrestle for ROH. Impact’s Moose, Eddie Edwards, and Jimmy Jacobs were among those who sent videos. Moose will defend his Impact World Championship against Matt Cardona and W. Morrissey in a triple threat match at Hard to Kill.

Impact Wrestling will be returning to Dallas to start off 2022.

As announced today by the promotion, January’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view event will take place at The Factory in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, January 8th. This will mark the second time that Impact has hosted an event in the building, as the 2020 edition of Hard To Kill emanated live from the same building. On that show, Tessa Blanchard defeated Sami Callihan to become the first woman to ever hold the Impact World Championship.

Tickets are set to go on sale on Friday, November 12th at 10 AM EST.

Impact has held their recent events at Sam’s Town in Las Vegas, as they held the Bound For Glory pay-per-view at the venue and have also done television tapings.
