PCO explains smashing TNA title at People vs. GCW, confirms pay cut request

PCO has been active on social media today following his controversial appearance at People vs. GCW on Sunday.

After winning the kickoff rumble at GCW’s Hammerstein Ballroom show last night, PCO proceeded to smash the TNA Digital Media Championship and briefly cut a promo mentioning he’s drawn the biggest house (Slammiversary 2024 in Montreal) and sold the most merchandise of anyone in TNA. However, the live feed quickly cut away to a video package.

PCO has been responding to fans on X today, expressing his frustration with the new TNA management team that took over after Scott D’Amore’s departure last year.

PCO wrote:

“Eventually, you will understand, I am a fan of the Hardys and that Roster is so awesome, The production team and Creative team in TNA just so good , the new management ehhhnn. Scott D’amore was the architect. You need to get your evidence before judging.”

He added, “Time will tell the full story and it won’t be pretty!”

“People don’t care for victims, they care for the ones who stand up and Monsters their way through…..” reads another post.

PCO also confirmed a report from our own Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio last month that TNA was asking wrestlers to take pay cuts.

“70/100 paycut ! Asked Rhino,” PCO wrote. Rhino has since finished up with the company.

He also responded to BodySlam.net’s comments that Scott D’Amore had promised PCO a run with the TNA World Championship.

“Get your story straight Gerard, it was supposed to be for rebellion not Slammiversary. The story had moved on . People talk shit and they don’t know half of the stories. After the PCO vs Aj Francis Match A 1000 people left the building.”

He later noted that he was not supposed to be Nic Nemeth for the belt, writing, “Not Nic and it was a few days run but you seems to know more than me , Scott is the architect of the rebranding of TNA , the new management haven’t any experience in the wrestling business.”

PCO destroys TNA Digital Media title at The People vs. GCW

PCO destroyed a TNA title at a GCW event.

After winning the kickoff rumble at GCW’s Hammerstein Ballroom return on Sunday, PCO grabbed his TNA Digital Media championship and placed it on a chair. He then picked up a sledgehammer and proceeded to smash the championship multiple times as Emil Jay, GCW’s ring announcer, attempted to calm PCO down.

PCO proceeded to use Jay’s microphone to cut a promo talking about how he sold the most t-shirts out of anyone in TNA another person entered the ring to calm things down. As PCO continued his promo, the live feed cut to a video package, ending the segment. This all took place right as TNA began the main card of their Genesis pay-per-view event in Texas.

PCO last wrestled for TNA at their Center Stage tapings in Atlanta back in December, teaming with Sami Callihan. He has been Digital Media Champion since July 20, when he defeated AJ Francis for the title at Slammiversary. He has been with TNA since 2022 following the inital shutdown of ROH prior to Tony Khan purchasing the company.

The Hardys vs. PCO and Sami Callihan set for next TNA Impact

A tag team match with Genesis implications is set for the Thursday, January 16 TNA Impact.

TNA Tag Team Champions Matt and Jeff Hardy will face Sami Callihan and PCO on next week’s Impact, with Callihan and PCO added to the TNA Tag Team title match at Genesis on January 19 should they win. The Hardys are currently set to defend against Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz of The Rascalz at Genesis.

Three more matches are also set for next week’s Impact, with First Class’s AJ Francis & KC Navarro taking on Steve Maclin & Eric Young, Jake Something vs. Laredo Kid, plus a Trent Seven vs. Leon Slater tilt.

A “championship celebration” segment with Ash by Elegance and Heather by Elegance has also been announce for next week. The Elegances will challenge Spitfire for the Knockouts Tag Team titles at Genesis.

The TNA Impact lineup for Thursday, January 16:

  • The Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy) vs. PCO & Sami Callihan — PCO & Callihan added to Genesis Tag Team title match if they win
  • First Class (AJ Francis & KC Navarro) vs. Eric Young & Steve Maclin
  • Jake Something vs. Laredo Kid
  • Trent Seven vs. Leon Slater
  • Ash by Elegance & Heather by Elegance championship celebration

PCO returning to GCW for Hammerstein Ballroom show

PCO is returning to Game Changer Wrestling to take part in the promotion’s Hammerstein Ballroom event.

For the first time in three years, PCO will compete in a GCW ring on Sunday, January 19. His opponent has not been announced yet. The show — named The People vs. GCW — is taking place from New York City and will stream live on TrillerTV+.

PCO was also on the card when GCW ran the Hammerstein Ballroom in January 2022, wrestling in a multi-man ladder match. This is the first time GCW has been back to the Hammerstein since that night. The theme is that GCW has a chance at redemption after its first show at the legendary venue received negative-to-mixed reviews from fans.

Competing for GCW was critical to PCO’s late-career resurgence, with his match against WALTER (WWE star Gunther) from Joey Janela’s Spring Break 2 in 2018 drawing strong reviews. He’s a former Extreme Champion for GCW.

PCO is also a former ROH World Champion and is currently with TNA Wrestling.

Here is the updated lineup for The People vs. GCW:

  • GCW World Champion Mance Warner defends against Effy or Allie Katch
  • Effy vs. Allie Katch (winner challenges Mance Warner later in the night)
  • GCW Tag Team Champions Dominic Garrini & Kevin Ku defend against Cole Radrick & Alec Price
  • Doors, Ladders & Chairs match for the vacant GCW Ultraviolent Championship: Matt Tremont vs. Brandon Kirk vs. Drew Parker vs. John Wayne Murdoch vs. Matthew Justice vs. Dr. Redacted
  • Super Crazy, Tajiri & Little Guido vs. Arez, Gringo Loco & Jack Cartwheel
  • Masato Tanaka vs. Joey Janela
  • El Hijo del Vikingo vs. Sidney Akeem
  • Bloodsport match: Josh Barnett vs. TBA
  • Steel cage match: Charles Mason vs. Richard Holliday
  • Megan Bayne vs. Atticus Cogar
  • NYC OGs (Homicide, Grim Reefer, and a mystery partner) vs. Tony Deppen, Kerry Morton & Griffin McCoy
  • Matt Cardona, PCO, Maki Itoh, Amazing Red, and more set to compete

TNA Impact live results: Nic Nemeth vs. Matt Cardona

TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth will take on Matt Cardona in non-title action in one of the headlining matches of tonight’s edition of Impact.

As PCO prepares to face Cardona at Bound for Glory in a Monsters Ball bout, the two agreed to Pick Your Poison matches and the former selected Nemeth to face Cardona. Conversely, Cardona picked Rhino to take on PCO tonight in a no DQ bout with PCO’s Digital Media and International titles on the line.

This will be the first meeting in TNA between Nemeth and Cardona.

Ahead of their title match at the pay-per-view, Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace will come face-to-face with Masha Slamovich.

X-Division Champion “Speedball” Mike Bailey will defend against prospect Leon Slater after Slater won a three-way qualifying match last week.

Mike Santana will face Brian Myers of The System as their rivalry continues.

Former World Champion Steve Maclin will also appear tonight.

PCO (c) defeated Rhino to retain his TNA Digital Media & International Heavyweight Championships in a Pick Your Poison match

After a recap package showing highlights from last week’s show, we shoot inside Skyway Studios in Nashville, TN., where Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt welcome us to this week’s show. The theme for Rhino hits and out comes the soon-to-be TNA Hall of Fame inductee for our opening match.

After “The War Machine” settles inside the squared circle, the theme for his opponent hits, and out comes TNA Digital Media & International Heavyweight Champion PCO. “The French-Canadian Frankenstein” heads to the ring to a big crowd reaction.

The bell sounds and these two immediately get after it in this, the first of two Pick Your Poison matches scheduled for tonight’s show. Rhino and PCO quickly end up on the floor at ringside, where Rhino runs and slams PCO into the ring barricade and ring apron.

PCO fights back and rams Rhino into the steel steps. Rhino gets back to his feet and the two trade stiff chops. Rhino hoists PCO up and slams him down spine-first over the steel ring steps. PCO gets hold of a steel chair and stabs Rhino in the mid-section with it before blasting him across the back with it.

The two fight to the ring apron. PCO has Rhino down and climbs up the top-rope. He attempts a senton but Rhino moves and PCO crashes onto the ring apron — hard. He also hit some steel chairs on the way down. Rhino takes over again from there, bashing PCO in the dome with a trash can.

PCO starts to fight back, chopping Rhino and sending him shoulder-first into the steel ring post. He rolls him back in the ring as fans in Nashville break out into a “PCO! PCO!” chant. PCO brings the trash can into the ring with him and smashes Rhino across the back and then over the top of the head with it.

“The French-Canadian Frankenstein” hoists “The War Machine” up and chokeslams him onto the trash can, which smooshes into a bent mess. Rhino rolls out to the floor. PCO hits the ropes to build up momentum and then dives through the ropes on the other side of the ring for a splash, only to be waffled by a perfectly-timed trash can shot from Rhino.

Back in the ring, PCO starts to fight back and take over again. He sends Rhino into a trash can stuffed between the ropes in the corner. He brings a steel folding chair into the ring and unfolds it. He sets Rhino’s upper-torso across it and begins climbing to the top-rope for a PCO-sault.

Rhino gets up before PCO takes flight, however, and brings him down the hard way, slamming him onto the unforgiving steel chair with authority. He goes for the cover, but only gets a count of two. A table is brought into the ring to the delight of the Nashville crowd.

PCO ends up putting Rhino through the table. He climbs to the top-rope and this time successfully connects with a PCO-sault for the win. Very fun, crowd-pleasing opening match from two salty veterans.

Gia Miller Interviews TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth

Backstage, we see Gia Miller standing by with her guest, current TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth. He talks about being a fighting champion and brings up his Pick Your Poison match later in the show against Matt Cardona.

He says he wanted to defend his TNA World Championship in the bout, but TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella told him he would be potentially compromising the TNA Bound For Glory 2024 main event.

He says Cardona used to be something special. He vows to steal the show and beat Cardona. After this wraps up, the show heads into the first commercial break of the evening.

Ash By Elegance defeated Brinley Reece

When the show returns, “The Liaison” between TNA Wrestling and WWE NXT, Arianna Grace, makes her way out with a microphone in-hand. She introduces another talent from WWE NXT, Brinley Reece. She makes her way out to the ring for our next match of the evening.

After Reece settles inside the squared circle, her music is cut off by the sounds of George Iceman’s voice. The personal concierge for Ash By Elegance tells Grace to hit the bricks and mentions being in Music City in Nashville.

He then rambles on before ultimately doing his job as the personal ring announcer for Ash By Elegance, and introduces her for her match against the aforementioned WWE NXT Superstar. She comes out to boos from the crowd and then the bell sounds to get things started.

The two take a moment before getting after it, and when they do, it is Reece who angers Ash after rubbing her lipstick off and smearing it around her face. Ash fights back and after landing a good shot, tries taunting with what Hannifan described as the worst push-ups ever.

Reece takes over and slams Ash, before dropping down for some push-ups of her own, complete with claps on the way down. Ash shifts the momentum in her favor and grabs a handful of Reece’s hair, before slapping a rear chin-lock on the WWE NXT Superstar.

As things progress, Reece ends up taking back over. She hoists Ash up seemingly with intentions of finishing her off, only for Iceman to hop on the apron and provide a match-altering distraction. Ash takes over as a result, hits her top-rope finisher and scores the pinfall victory.

Once the match wraps up, Iceman gets back on the mic and announces that next week, there will be a VIP Makeover Launch Party By Elegance for Heather Reckless. He offers a teaser now, and Ash drops down and smears lipstick all over Reece’s face until Xia Brookside runs out to chase her off. The show heads into another commercial break.

“Speedball” Mike Bailey (c) defeated Leon Slater to retain the TNA X-Division Championship

When the show returns, an odd stalker-style vignette airs with Rosemary and WWE NXT Superstar Wendy Choo following TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Champions Spitfire (Dani Luna & Jody Threat) around and about. Their match for the titles is made official for TNA Bound For Glory 2024.

Once the package wraps up, we return inside the Impact Zone where Leon Slater makes his way to the ring for our next match of the evening. After he settles inside the ring, the reigning and defending TNA X-Division Champion “Speedball” Mike Bailey makes his way out.

The bell sounds to get things started, and immediately we see Slater taking it to the champ with kicks and fast-paced offense. They start to mirror each other, kipping up simultaneously, before “Speedball” starts to take over.

Bailey slows down and grounds Slater, securing a hammer lock. The commentators talk about this going against Bailey’s usual approach to victory. Slater fights back with a power game of his own, and then the two each miss back-to-back dives to the floor on the other.

Slater trips Bailey in the ring from the floor, and then slingshot splashes on him for a two-count. Slater tries to fly over the top onto Bailey on the floor, but falls right into a well-timed kick from the educated feet of the champ.

Bailey follows up with a top-rope moonsault. He hammer-locks Slater’s arm against and then slams it into the steel ring post, as the show heads into a mid-match commercial break. When the show returns, we see both guys recovering as fans chant “Fight Forever! Fight Forever!”

Slater fights into the offensive lead, hitting a wild slingshot splash onto Bailey at ringside with one-arm, as he has been selling the arm that Bailey worked on with the hammer-lock and ring post shot earlier in the bout.

Back in the ring, Slater gets the crowd on his side as he stalks Bailey, waiting for him to get up. He charges at Bailey with vicious intentions, but Bailey catches him coming in. He goes back to the hammer-lock on Slater, focusing on the weakened limb of the determined challenger.

The two end up on the floor and in one quick motion, Bailey hops up to the ring apron, hits the ropes and launches himself high in the way for a moonsault onto Slater. Back in the ring, Slater looked for a top-rope high spot, but Slater moves and he lands on his feet.

Slater capitalizes with a standing Blue Thunder Bomb for a close two-count. After some more back-and-forth fast-paced, high-flying offense, things finally culminate with a flamingo driver by the champ for the pinfall victory.

An absolutely excellent title tilt on this week’s Impact, which Hannifan calls “an instant classic that unfolded right in front of our eyes.” He is speaking the truth. After the match, Bailey and Slater share a moment of mutual respect in front of an appreciative Nashville crowd.

As Bailey continues his celebration, a video package airs showing highlights of El Hijo Del Vikingo in action in the past. The package wraps up with the announcement that Vikingo will be challenging Bailey for the X-Division Championship at TNA Bound For Glory 2024. The announcement draws audible gasps from the Nashville crowd. Afterwards, the show heads into another commercial break.

The Hardys & ABC Ready For Next Week & Bound For Glory

When the show returns, we see a video package promoting the TNA World Tag-Team Championship Full Metal Mayhem three-way bout for TNA Bound For Glory 2024. After it wraps up, we see The Hardys and ABC backstage.

The two teams share mutual respect to each other after recently sharing the ring together. They announce that they’ve got one more stop before Bound For Glory, which is next week, where they will team up to take on The System.

They talk about having that business to handle, but then they will be opponents again at Bound For Glory. The Hardys mention how everyone says in the past tense that they are one of the best teams ever. They aim to prove they still are in what they claim could be their last-ever Tables, Ladders and Ch…Full Metal Mayhem match. ABC says they’re ready to take out another veteran duo.

Josh Alexander, Sinner & Saint Beat Down Steve Maclin

We return inside the Impact Zone, where Steve Maclin’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring. He gets on the microphone and talks about having a talk with Eric Young. “The Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander comes out with Sinner & Saint.

Alexander asks if we’re really supposed to believe Maclin has had a complete change of heart after one talk with Eric Young. He says he’s spilled more blood in TNA than anyone in history. He says he’s the longest-reigning world champion in company history, the TNA poster boy and the heart-and-soul of the company.

He says at the blink of an eye, all the fans turned their backs on him. With that in mind, how does he believe that the fans are supposed to believe in a failure like Maclin. Maclin talks about his history with Alexander, and how he once told him he was not a failure, and not an outsider.

He was home grown. He stops talking briefly as he notices Sinner & Saint closely surrounding him at ringside with evil looks on their faces. Maclin says he and Alexander are nothing alike. Alexander says Maclin finally said something he agrees with.

Maclin says they say sometimes you have to check your ego. He says tonight is not one of those times, and then lunges at Sinner & Saint to start to a fight, which quickly goes bad for him. Alexander joins Sinner & Saint in a three-on-one beatdown.

They zip-tie his hands behind his back and then Alexander smacks him and hits him with a C4 Spike. Alexander vs. Maclin is official for TNA Bound For Glory 2024. The three leave him laying as the show heads into another commercial break.

Mike Santana Gets Laid Out By Moose

When we return, TNA/NXT Liaison Arianna Grace and TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella are backstage with the tumbler that will be used for the Call Your Shot Gauntlet match at TNA Bound For Glory 2024.

In comes Frankie Kazarian talking disrespectfully, prompting Marella to remind him that he’s the Director of Authority. After their verbal exchange, the brief backstage segment wraps up.

Back inside the Impact Zone, The System make their way out, back in their Mark Henry circa WWF 1996 red, white and blue matching jackets. They wish Brian Myers well and head to the back, as he heads to the ring.

Mike Santana’s entrance tune hits next and out he comes with a steel chair, which he wraps around his hand at ringside. The referee goes out to try and get it off him, but he blasts Myers with it.

In the ring, Santana blasts each member of The System, one-by-one, as they rush down to the ring to try and attack him. Santana unwraps the steel chain and uses it to connect with his Spin the Block finisher on Myers.

He gets on the mic and says he’s sick of everyone in The System. He calls out Moose from the back and challenges him to get his “baby-boy b*tch ass out here right now.” Fans break out in a “Baby-Boy B*tch!” chant, but Moose never shows up.

He heads to the back to look for him, but gets laid out with a baseball bat to the dome. Moose tells Santana to be careful what he wishes for and walks off leaving him laying. The show heads into another commercial break on that note.

Jordynne Grace, Masha Slamovich Face-To-Face

In a special room, we see TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace and her challenger for TNA Bound For Glory 2024, Masha Slamovich, seated at a table, with color-commentator Matthew Rehwoldt sitting in-between them.

The two talk about their history after Grace questions Slamovich crossing her out on a picture on her wall of victims. They stroll down memory lane, with Slamovich talking about having to sit idly by while Grace worked the WWE Royal Rumble.

Grace talks about Slamovich being a former undefeated queen of the Knockouts division, until Grace beat her. Then she beat her again. Then she beat her a third time. She knows that eats at Slamovich everyday. Slamovich assures Grace that one way or the other, no matter what, she is leaving Bound For Glory with the TNA Knockouts Championship. She walks off on that note.

Nic Nemeth defeated Matt Cardona in the Pick Your Poison main event

It’s main event time!

When we return, the lineup for next week’s TNA Bound For Glory 2024 “go-home” episode of the show is announced (see below), and then Frankie Kazarian’s theme hits. The self-proclaimed “King of TNA” makes his way out, to the dismay of Tom Hannifan, to join he and Matthew Rehwoldt on special guest commentary for the main event of the evening.

The theme for Matt Cardona hits and Mr. “Alwayz Ready” heads to the ring as Kazarian gives him praise for always being tan and in-shape. He settles inside the squared circle for our second of two Pick Your Poison matches on this week’s show.

We hear the trademark unzip and pleased-female moan, followed by the familiar sounds of the entrance theme song for the reigning TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth. He heads to the ring as the show heads into a quick pre-match commercial break.

When the show returns, Kazarian warns Hannifan for his recent comments about him on a past broadcast, informing him that if it weren’t for his good friend, Rehwoldt, he would beat his brains in right now. The focus shifts back to the offense in the ring, which sees Nemeth jump off to a strong offensive lead in the early goings.

The camera pans up the entrance aisle, where a line of security guards are shown standing side-by-side, blocking the entrance tunnel. Hannifan points out they are security brought by Cardona, who is fearful of PCO heading into their scheduled Monster’s Ball showdown at TNA Bound For Glory 2024.

Meanwhile, “The Indy God” starts to find some success, shifting the offensive momentum in the match in his favor. The crowd groans and boos as Cardona taunts them and Nemeth after settling into a comfortable offensive lead.

He sends Nemeth into the steel ring post and then in paranoid fashion, looks over his shoulder to make sure PCO is nowhere in sight. Cardona heads out to the floor and decks Nemeth with a boot to the jaw. Cardona looks for a piledriver to Nemeth on the floor, but Nemeth counters with a back body-drop.

On the ring apron, Cardona blasts Nemeth with a cheap shot thumb to the eye, before launching him off the apron into the steel ring steps with authority. On that note, the show heads into the final commercial break of the evening as the Pick Your Poison main event continues.

When the show returns, Kazarian makes multiple references to being a big part of the upcoming main event for the world title at TNA Bound For Glory, only for Hannifan to point out each time that Kazarian lost to Joe Hendry, and that it will be Hendry-Nemeth one-on-one for the title.

Kaz plays it off and keeps talking like it’s a fact that he’ll be involved regardless. Cardona has been controlling the offensive momentum since the return from the break, however he walks into a big super kick from the champ. Nemeth begins to take over, only for Cardona to sneak a low-blow to Nemeth without the referee noticing.

As Cardona backs up and prepares to finish off Nemeth, the lights in the building start blinking as thunder is heard rumbling. Out comes “The French-Canadian Frankenstein” himself, PCO. He takes out Cardona’s security guards one-by-one, as Cardona looks on in fear from the ring.

While distracted, Cardona stands by as Nemeth recovers and blasts him with his Danger Zone finisher. Nemeth makes the cover and gets the win. PCO picks up a lifeless Cardona and carries him over his shoulders to the back, as Hannifan questions where he is taking him.

Special Guest Referee Announced For TNA Bound For Glory Main Event

In the ring, Nemeth is celebrating his win when out of nowhere, Kazarian leaves his spot at the commentary desk and attacks the TNA World Champion from behind. We hear the familiar sounds of “I Believe In Joe Hendry” and the crowd explodes as the challenger for Nemeth’s title at TNA Bound For Glory hits the ring and makes the save for his opponent at next weekend’s pay-per-view.

The two beat down Kazarian and send him out of the ring. Kazarian gets on the microphone and asks the crowd if they enjoyed Nemeth and Hendry manhandling him. They make it clear that they did. Kazarian says he hopes they’re equally enthused about this next announcement.

“The King of TNA” pulls out a zebra-striped shirt and announces that he has been named the special guest referee / enforcer for the Nemeth vs. Hendry main evet for the TNA World Championship at TNA Bound For Glory 2024.

The crowd boos as Nemeth and Hendry play the confusion as this week’s show goes off the air on that note. Thanks for joining us and don’t forget to follow F4WOnline.com’s Matt Boone on Twitter/X.

Next Week:
* TNA Bound For Glory Dual Contract Signing

TNA Impact live results: Nemeth vs. Ali World title match, PCO & Steph De Lander wedding

Tonight’s TNA Impact has a little something for everyone including a World title match and a wedding between PCO & Steph De Lander.

New champion Nic Nemeth will defend the title he won at last month’s Slammiversary against former X-Division Champion Mustafa Ali. Ali interrupted Nemeth’s title celebration last week to put this into motion.

After winning the TNA Digital Media and International titles at Slammiversary, PCO proposed to recent squeeze De Lander and the two will get married on tonight’s show with calamity sure to happen.

Joe Hendry will be on hand to give his thoughts after being attacked and pinned by Josh Alexander in the Slammiversary six-way World title match.

The Rascalz will take on X-Division Champion Mike Bailey, Trent Seven & KUSHIDA while Knockouts Tag Team Champion Masha Slamovich will go one-on-one with Spitfire’s Jody Threat.

The show will also see Ryan Nemeth battle Frankie Kazarian and the return to action of Rosemary following her surprise return at Slammiversary.

**********
The Rascalz (Wes Lee, Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel) defeated Speedball Mountain (“Speedball” Mike Bailey & Trent Seven) & KUSHIDA

Six-man tag-team action gets things started on this week’s show. After the bell sounds to get things started, it is Trey Miguel and KUSHIDA who kick things off for their respective teams. The two jockey for position and then it is KUSHIDA who takes Miguel down to the mat with a headlock.

They work their way back up to their feet and the pace picks up. Miguel tags in Wentz. Wes Lee also comes in and the three hit multiple triple-team spots. Lee tags in and goes to work on KUSHIDA, who fights back and tags in “Speedball” Mike Bailey.

TNA’s new X-Division Champion comes into the ring with rapid-fire kicks to the WWE NXT Superstar. He settles into a comfortable offensive lead and tags in Trent Seven, who picks up where Bailey left off, taking it to the former WWE NXT North American Champion.

Seven ends up running into a big boot from Lee in the corner, which allows The Rascalz member to regain some offensive footing. He tags in Wentz, who hits a Bronco Buster. Lee ends up hitting one at the same time in the opposing corner.

Tom Hannifan cackling like a fan-boy quips, “Sean Waltman, eat your heart out!” Very Michael Cole-esque. Miguel hits a big double stomp, but cartwheels and flips into a simple elbow from Seven, which shifts the momentum back in his team’s favor. He hits a DDT and tags in KUSHIDA.

KUSHIDA looks for a Hooverboard Lock on Lee, who ends up making it to his corner to get the much-needed tag. Wentz hits a big dive to Seven on the floor. Bailey kicks him from the apron and then splashes onto him with a springboard moonsault at ringside.

Back in the ring, Lee hits a flip into a big kick for a two-count. Seven tags in and climbs to the top, but Lee runs over and hits a kick that stuns him. He climbs up after him, but Seven counters and hits a super scoop slam off the ropes for a two-count of his own.

Lee walks into a super kick from Bailey and then a Seven Star Lariat from Seven. They go for Ultimo Weapon on Lee, but Wentz runs over to make the save before they can execute it. Lee hits a running back-elbow to Seven in the corner, and then tags in Miguel.

They hit a triple-team spot and then Miguel hits a diving splash onto KUSHIDA and Bailey on the floor. Lee and Wentz hit their double-team High-Flyer Flame on Seven in the ring for the pinfall victory. Good and very fun opening match to kick off the in-ring action on this week’s show.

The commentators close it out by flashing the WWE NXT Great American Bash graphic on the screen to promote The Rascalz’ match at week two of the annual themed event from WWE NXT.

Jordynne Grace Issues TNA Knockouts Championship Open Challenge

We shift gears and head into a video segment featuring TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace. “The Juggernaut” goes on to issue another open challenge for her title for next week’s episode of TNA iMPACT on August 8. After this wraps up, the show heads into the first commercial break of the evening.

Campaign Singh Must Prove Loyalty, Credibility To The Campaign Tonight

When the show returns from the break, we shoot backstage for an interview segment. Standing by is Campaign Singh and The Campaign. We are told that this was supposed to be an interview with Mustafa Ali about his TNA World Championship shot in the main event this evening against Nic Nemeth.

Singh is on the phone with Ali, who appears upset. Singh frantically talks about how he will prove his loyalty to The Campaign and his credibility tonight. After he hangs up, he appears nervous about how he’s supposed to do that.

Rosemary defeated Kristara

Back inside the iMPACT Zone, TNA Knockouts star Rosemary is introduced. She makes her way to the ring for her comeback match. Already in the ring is her scheduled opponent for tonight, Kristara.

After the bell sounds to get things started, Rosemary bum-rushes Kristara and gets the early offensive jump on her. She beats her down and lets out screams and shrieks after hitting big moves.

She hits her finisher for the pinfall to pick up an easy victory in what was a quick and basic match. She heads out to the ringside area and grabs a nap-sack and heads back into the squared circle with it.

She kneels over her fallen opponent and pulls a black rose out of the bag. She lays it on her chest and crosses her arms over it. Ash By Elegance was shown watching on a monitor backstage during and after the match.

The System Are Regrouped And Refocused Following A Rough TNA Slammiversary

We shoot to The System in a backstage interview segment. The group are still wearing the same red, white and blue gear that they wore last week on the show, due to being in the Montreal market.

Each member takes a turn speaking into the camera about how the group may have been dealt a blow or two in recent weeks, but they are still the most dominant force in all of professional wrestling.

They will show why you must trust in The System. After this wraps up, the show heads into another commercial time out.

Campaign Singh Confronts, Challenges Mike Santana

Backstage, we see Mike Santana sitting on a stairwell talking about how recent weeks have proven that there are some cracks in The System. As he continues talking, he is cut off by Campaign Singh. He stands up. Singh nervously tells him that he is challenging him to a match tonight.

Josh Alexander Still Refuses To Fully Explain His Actions

We head back inside the iMPACT Zone where “The Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander is introduced. He doesn’t come out. He is introduced again. Once again he doesn’t come out. The commentators inform us that Gia Miller is with him backstage.

A fired up Alexander talks to Miller about how he doesn’t care where he is supposed to be right now. He says he’ll talk right here. He rants briefly about fans believing in Joe Hendry, but how it is he who has carried TNA on his back for years. He gets annoyed and walks off without saying much once again.

Frankie Kazarian defeated Ryan Nemeth

Things move on to the next action scheduled, which is a singles match pitting Ryan Nemeth one-on-one against Frankie Kazarian. Nemeth comes out first, followed by Kazarian. The bell sounds and Kazarian immediately steps through the ropes and calls over the ring announcer.

Kazarian orders her to once again introduce him, but this time insists she remind everyone that he is, in fact, “The King of TNA.” Nemeth acknowledges the groans from the crowd to that announcement, and in doing so, turns his back on Kazarian.

Kazarian quickly charges at him from behind and sneak-attacks him to get the early offensive jump on “The Hollywood Hunk.” Nemeth fights back and shifts the offensive momentum in his favor, isolating the arm of Kazarian and working over the limb.

Nemeth hits a picture-perfect dropkick as Kazarian started to fight back. He grabs him and begins turning him what a Rude Awakening-style neckbreaker, but Kazarian avoids it and hits a big counter that allows him to settle into the offensive drivers seat.

As he does, the show heads into a mid-match commercial break as the match continues. When the show returns, Kazarian is still in control of things, but not for long, as Nemeth gets his second wind and unleashes on the self-proclaimed “King of TNA” with a ferocious flurry of strikes.

Nemeth hits a gut-wrench suplex for a two-count as things slow back down. Nemeth heads to the top-rope and leaps off with a cross-body splash for another close pin attempt. After kicking out, Kazarian starts to fight back. He hoists Nemeth up for a Fade To Black, but Nemeth escapes out the back door.

Kazarian slingshots Nemeth from the ring apron outside of the ring ropes, over the ring ropes, into a perfectly-timed cutter. He immediately follows up with the pinfall for the victory. Good match with a very cool finishing spot.

Josh Alexander Unnecessarily Attacks Ryan Nemeth

When the match wraps up, Kazarian heads over to say something off-mic braggadocios about being the “King of TNA” to the commentators at ringside. As he heads to the back, we see Josh Alexander emerge and walk past him.

He heads into the ring and picks up Nemeth, hitting him with his finisher for no reason. He leaves him laying, never says a word, and heads to the back as fans once again sing “Na Na Na Na, Hey Hey Hey, Goodbye!” at him.

Jody Threat (w/ Dani Luna) defeated Masha Slamovich (w/ Alisha Edwards)

After this, the show heads to another commercial break. When we return, we head straight to the ring for Knockouts action, as the TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Champions Masha Slamovich and Alisha Edwards head to the ring.

Slamovich settles inside the squared circle for advertised singles action. Her opponent, Jody Threat, makes her way out accompanied by her Spitfire tag-team partner Dani Luna. The bell sounds and off we go.

Threat comes out strong, but it is Slamovich who ultimately settles into the early offensive lead, which she maintains for several minutes before Threat starts to show signs of life.

Threat hits a running double knees to the spine of Slamovich as she was draped over the bottom rope. She follows that up with a back suplex and a big clothesline for a close two-count. For the second time, Edwards hops on the ring apron.

This time, Luna runs over and yanks her down. Edwards sends her face-first into the steel ring post for her efforts. Meanwhile, back in the ring, Slamovich hits a gut-wrench powerbomb on Threat for another close two-count.

While the referee is distracted, Edwards wraps one of the Knockouts title belts around the middle turnbuckle. It backfires, however, as Threat knocks her off the apron and then drop toe-holds Slamovich face-first into the belt. She follows up with her finisher for the pinfall victory.

Joe Hendy Needs The Believers To Continue To Believe

Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt talk about Joe Hendry being the hottest rising star in the pro wrestling business right now. We then head to a video package with new comments from Hendry.

He talks about the fans believing in him and how he needs them to continue to support him as he continues to ascend the ladder in the business.

He talks about obstacles he has faced as he has transitioned into being somewhat of a full-time WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling crossover performer. After this wraps up, we head to another commercial break.

Mike Santana defeated Campaign Singh

After the show returns, we hear the familiar sounds of the entrance theme music for Mike Santana. Out he comes for our next match of the evening. Already in the ring is the man who challenged him earlier tonight, Campaign Singh.

As soon as the bell sounds to get the match underway, Singh charges at an unsuspecting Santana and attacks him from behind to get the early offensive jump in the bout. This doesn’t last long at all, however, as Santana quickly takes back over.

Santana wears out Singh for another minute or two and then finishes him off with his Spin The Block finisher for the easy pinfall victory. It looks like Campaign Singh will need to find another way to prove his loyalty and credibility to Mustafa Ali and The Campaign.

Once the match wraps up, Santana talks about what happened at TNA Slammiversary and sends a message to Moose, before vowing before God, his girl and his baby that he will become TNA World Champion.

He says he needs Moose to understand something and tells him to look into the camera. (That’s your job, Mike! He’s supposed to look into a television set!) He promises Moose that he’s going to hurt him and makes it clear that a “hit” has been put out on him as of this moment.

Nic Nemeth (c) defeated Mustafa Ali to retain the TNA World Championship

It’s main event (match) time!

When the show returns from the break, we learn some match and segment announcements for next week’s episode of TNA iMPACT on August 8 from Tampa, FL. (see below). After that, we return inside the iMPACT Zone in Montreal where the familiar sounds of Mustafa Ali’s theme hits the house speakers.

The former TNA X-Division Champion takes his time coming out and settling inside the squared circle for his big title opportunity. The “Tale of the Tape” graphic for this TNA World Championship bout flashes on the screen, as Hannifan and Rehwoldt quickly run down some of the more interesting statistics.

After that, the entrance tune for the reigning and defending TNA World Champion hits. Out comes the man who promises to be a fighting champion, Nic Nemeth. As he poses on the ropes in the corner with his title raised high in the air, we head to a quick pre-match commercial break.

When the show returns, the bell sounds to get this title tilt officially off-and-running. Nemeth slaps a side-headlock on Ali and controls him, but Ali escapes and puts Nemeth in one of his own. Ali slowly starts to settle into the initial offensive lead.

Ali makes the mistake of gloating after getting Nemeth down and out in the corner. This allows Nemeth time to recover, and he comes back at Ali with a vengeance. He picks up the speed and pace, as he hits the ropes and runs over Ali with a massive clothesline.

Moments later, Ali sends Nemeth sternum-first into the turnbuckles with a rib-cracking ferocity. Nemeth returns the favor, plus some, as he does the same to Ali, but sending the former X-Division Champion face-first into the middle turnbuckle with even more momentum.

Ali grabs Nemeth and hits a modified electric chair slam on the unforgiving floor at ringside. We see officials checking on Nemeth as Ali gets back up and celebrates his work, gloating to the crowd as they loudly boo.

On that note, the show shifts gears and heads into a mid-match commercial break as this championship clash continues. When things return, we see Ali get closer and closer to stealing the win, and potentially the title, with cheap heel tactics. Ultimately, Nemeth picks up the win with The Danger Zone to retain.

PCO, Steph De Lander Wedding

It’s main event (segment) time!

Once the main event title tilt wraps up, the show heads into another commercial break. When it returns, Hannifan and Rehwoldt set the stage for the nuptials of PCO and Steph De Lander, mentioning Santino Marella will preside over the ceremony.

We shoot back inside the iMPACT Zone in Montreal, where Rhino comes out in his ring gear with a tie on. We are informed that he is the best man for the groom, PCO. Next out comes the TNA Digital Media and Quebec International Champion to chants of “PCO! PCO!”

He settles in the ring next to the best man Rhino and Santino Marella. “Here comes the bride” plays next and out comes the beautiful bride-to-be, Steph De Lander, in an extravagant white wedding dress with a bouquet of flowers.

Hannifan pulls another Michael Cole, pretending to get choked up at how beautiful this scene is. Marella begins in his comedic broken English-style of presiding over the ceremony. He informs us that the bride and groom have decided to read their own vows.

De Lander says she takes PCO to be his unlawful, undead bride. She promises to never bolt on him, nor complain when the electricity bill is really high. She promises to always make him love and keep him in stitches with her sense of humor. She rhymes, poem-style, about how they are meant to be. She finishes with “’til death do us part.”

Marella tells “Pico” (not gram) that it is his turn. PCO lets out a big roar into the microphone, and that’s it. Marella responds, “[Laughs] Okay! Now the ring presentations!” De Lander puts a ring on PCO’s finger. PCO goes to do the same, but has to take it off the stiff, cold, cut off finger of his dead grandmother, which he pulls out of his pocket on the spot. Eek!

“If anyone has a good reason why these two shouldn’t get married, speak up now or forever shut-up-your-face!” Marella says as the final line. Of course, someone does. The theme for AJ Francis hits and out he comes with his First Class brother Rich Swann.

Francis assures them that they’re only out to be witnesses to the freak show. They have no intentions of spoiling the party. Santino reveals he got certified at ICanMarryYou.com and then says, “normally I’d say you can kiss the bride.” He follows up, “this is Montreal, though, so you can French-kiss the bride!”

The theme for Matt Cardona hits and out comes “The Indy God” to crash the festivities. He comes out with a gift in-hand with a giant bow on it, as Hannifan and Rehwoldt remind everyone of Cardona’s past with De Lander. Cardona walks into the ring and reveals his gift was a piece of a cinder block. He walks right up to PCO and knocks him out with it.

He tears down the wedding set as fans boo and a sad-looking De Lander watches on. Cardona stops from leaving the ring. He heads back in and snatches De Lander by the hand. He tries yanking her forcefully out of the ring with him, but she freaks out and yells off-mic about this being her day, questioning why he is doing this to her.

He backs off in the corner as she continues to freak out on him. Cardona exits the ring and yells back off-mic, “What are you doing? You’re with me! It’s not supposed to be this way!” We see De Lander crying in the ring as PCO slowly gets back to his feet. That’s how this week’s show wraps up. PCO match booked for TNA No Surrender

PCO is set for action at TNA Wrestling’s No Surrender special.

TNA has announced that PCO vs. Kon will take place at No Surrender 2024, which is being held at the Alario Center in Louisiana on Friday, February 23. It’s being billed as a match to prove who the baddest man in TNA is.

On Impact two weeks ago, Kon targeted PCO in an attack. Kon also betrayed his former The Design stablemate Deaner by attacking him too.

PCO and Kon then brawled on last Thursday’s Impact episode.

TNA Wrestling wrote:

Recently on iMPACT!, Kon was on a mission to prove that he is the ‘Baddest Man in TNA.’ After telling Deaner that The Design is dead, Kon made a bold statement when he viciously assaulted the ‘French-Canadian Frankenstein,’ PCO. One week later, Kon demolished not one but two unlucky opponents before PCO attacked in retaliation. We can now confirm that at No Surrender, these two behemoths will face off one-on-one. Brace yourself for this hard-hitting collision between two of the most fearsome individuals on the TNA roster: PCO and Kon.

No Surrender will air live on TNA+ and TNA’s Ultimate Insiders YouTube service. Here’s everything that’s been announced for the show so far:

PCO vs. Dirty Dango added to TNA Hard to Kill

A new match announcement has been made for TNA Wrestling Hard to Kill 2024.

PCO and Dirty Dango will face off in singles action at the Saturday, January 13 pay-per-view in Las Vegas. Dango will be accompanied by Oleg Prudius (the former Vladimir Kozlov) and Alpha Bravo for the match.

TNA Wrestling wrote:

At TNA Hard To Kill, PCO will rise once again. Stepping up to the ‘French-Canadian Frankenstein’ will be the brash and arrogant Dirty Dango, who will surely inform the world of his feelings towards the sport of pro wrestling. PCO scored a dominant victory on the final IMPACT-branded event, Final Resolution and one can only imagine just how horrific his actions will be when the new era begins on January 13th.

It was revealed in October that PCO has signed a new TNA Wrestling contract. He defeated Moose, Rhino, and Steve Maclin in a Monster’s Ball match at Bound for Glory.

Dango has an anti-pro wrestling gimmick in Impact Wrestling.

PCO signs new contract with Impact Wrestling

PCO has decided to stay with Impact Wrestling.

Impact announced on Tuesday that PCO has signed a new contract with the company. Further details about the terms of the new deal were not disclosed.

“I really wanted to be part of the new era of TNA Wrestling and Scott D’Amore made me an offer I could not refuse,” PCO said.

PCO’s previous Impact contract was set to expire on October 30. As of last month, PCO had given notice to Impact and was expected to depart the company at the end of his deal. But PCO giving notice “reopened” the discussions between the two sides. PCO spoke about the negotiations with Impact during an interview with Les Anti-Pods de la Lutte.

At Impact’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view over the weekend, PCO won a Monster’s Ball match against Moose, Rhino, and Steve Maclin.

Impact hyped that PCO is the first signing of the new era of TNA Wrestling. At the conclusion of Bound for Glory, Impact Wrestling revealed that it’s changing its name back to TNA Wrestling. The name change starts with the promotion’s Hard to Kill PPV in January 2024.

PCO started with Impact in the beginning of 2022. Previously best known as a former WWF Tag Team Champion as part of The Quebecers, the 55-year-old PCO has gone through a career resurgence in recent years. That included an ROH World Championship reign for PCO from December 2019 to February 2020.

Monster’s Ball match announced for Impact Bound for Glory

One of Impact Wrestling’s signature match types is returning for Bound for Glory 2023.

Impact Wrestling announced today that PCO, Rhino, Steve Maclin, and Moose will face off in a Monster’s Ball match at Bound for Glory. The pay-per-view is taking place from Cicero, Illinois on Saturday, October 21.

Monster’s Ball is a hardcore match that first debuted in 2004. More than 50 Monster’s Ball matches have taken place since then. In the most recent edition of the match, Trey Miguel defeated Crazzy Steve this February.

PCO’s contract with Impact Wrestling is set to expire shortly after Bound for Glory. His contract is up on October 30.

Here’s the updated Bound for Glory card:

PCO talks Impact Wrestling negotiations, free agency, AEW in Montreal

PCO recently discussed why he is leaving Impact Wrestling during an appearance on Les Anti-Pods de la Lutte.

The 55-year-old’s contract expires on October 30 and he says negotiations for a new deal broke down over recent weeks. PCO told Pat Laprade and Kevin Raphael that he asked for a salary increase and more control over his character when the promotion approached him about re-signing.

“The company began approaching me in White Plains on the weekend of September 8 and 9. They said they wanted to re-sign me, that they wanted me to stay and all that,” PCO said on the show. “And that it was important for the company. I asked if they could increase my salary, and creatively speaking, if I could get more involved with my character.”

“The next day, I thought we were going to agree on terms. It came close twice, then it drew on a bit. Then, I was told that we had to reach an agreement, at least on the phone, before Memphis, which was the 22 or 23, in order to know how to book Memphis and Bound for Glory. On Saturday no news, no phone calls, radio silence in a sense. There are a lot of people around me in the locker room who have not been renewed yet and who finished on the 22. So I figured I wasn’t going to stretch it until Bound For Glory, since my contract finishes on October 30. I felt negotiations were tough so I decided to control how I was gonna leave.”

“I think that’s part of the negotiations too. When there’s radio silence after they tell you ‘We want you and we will sign you’. There’s like some kind of a war of nerves that is being played. Who will break first? If they show too much interest, they know you’re going to ask for the moon, but if they show less, they think you’re going to feel less important. The goal is to find the right balance.”

PCO was asked if he felt the recent WWE releases influenced his negotiations with Impact Wrestling.

“Of course it did,” he responded. “Already there were names mentioned by people close to the office. The names that were circulating were (Matt) Riddle, (Dolph) Ziggler and Mustafa Ali. These are the three names that supposedly Impact would try to sign.”

News broke last week that PCO would be testing free agency when his contract expires. PCO says that he’s in a good position to choose the best possible offer.

“There has been some kind of a movement since I submitted my resignation. It seems that everyone has realized that PCO is leaving. It reopened the discussions a bit,” he said.

“Therefore, it puts me in a position where I can take the best offer possible. There are many things to consider. How are you going to be used, how much are they willing to invest in a character like mine, which is a character that’s extremely expensive because sometimes, it takes pyrotechnics, sometimes it takes a coffin, sometimes it takes a hearse. It takes a lot of creativity. It would take me the equivalent in another company.”

AEW is set to debut in Montreal, Quebec on December 5 and 6 from the Bell Centre. PCO says he could help move tickets for the shows if he is on them.

“I’m sure that if I’m on the shows, I would (sell) tickets. We could do a lot of promotion, a media tour, conventional media, and then explain what All Elite Wrestling is. I think it could make a big difference. Because we see it when Kevin and Sami come to Quebec, Quebecers get behind us in a strong way.”
