John Cena praises Natalya, Tyson Kidd after Dungeon visit

John Cena had kind words for WWE couple Natalya and TJ Wilson (Tyson Kidd) after attending a training session at their Dungeon facility.

On Wednesday night, Cena visited the Dungeon — a training ring Natalya and Wilson have in Florida where other wrestlers can come and practice. He posted a brief tweet today commenting on the experience and praising the husband-and-wife duo for their dedication to pro wrestling.

“The brilliance, ability & generosity of @TJWilson & @natbynature is astounding,” Cena wrote. “The Dungeon’s existence shows how dedicated my two friends are to the industry we love. Dungeon’s Rules – INVITE ONLY COST $0.00 fees are paid in passion & ‘hustle’. FLAKE OUT, invite revoked. All they ask is all any audience asks … give everything you have.”

“Thank you, @JohnCena. You understand the Dungeon the way my grandfather Stu Hart intended it to be—real, raw, and rooted in passion, hustle, and love for the game,” Natalya responded. “What you brought to our practice was a storytelling masterclass and a reminder of what greatness looks like. Truly surreal.”

Ilja Dravunov, Maxxine Dupri, B-Fab, and Angelo Dawkins were among a big group of wrestlers who also attended the Wednesday night session. The facility is named after the legendary Dungeon where Stu Hart trained wrestlers at the Hart House in Canada.

In addition to this visit, Cena stopped by the WWE Performance Center twice recently to spend time with the up-and-coming talent.

Cena only has four WWE appearances left on his retirement tour. His last Boston appearance will take place on the November 10 edition of Raw. He’ll then head to New York City for the final time for Raw at Madison Square Garden on November 17.

After that, Cena will compete at Survivor Series on November 29 and then have his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13. WWE is running a tournament to decide who will be his last-ever opponent, with Gunther rumored to be the most likely option.

Natalya details positive backstage interaction with Undertaker from AAA show

A recent backstage interaction with The Undertaker in Mexico reinforced to Natalya that she shouldn’t be so hard on herself for making small mistakes.

During a media tour to promote her new book, Natalya made an appearance on The Joe Vulpis Podcast. She opened up about how she’s learned to be kinder to herself than she was earlier in her career. It’s still something that she struggles with, though. Even as recently as last weekend, she felt the need to over-apologize for a mistake that happened during a match. Talking with Undertaker backstage after made her realize it was actually a non-issue.

“I did it this weekend, I was in Mexico. Listen, I’m a work in progress. But I was wrestling in Mexico,” Natalya said. “It’s for AAA — WWE is working with AAA so we’re doing these incredible shows in Mexico. Sold out crowd. It was amazing. I was in there with these amazing female wrestlers, and one little thing went wrong. We were both going for, like, this double surfboard move. We practiced it during the day, it went perfect. We did it at night, it just went off the rails.

“But I remember coming back and Undertaker was helping produce the show. The first thing I did was say, ‘I’m so sorry that the surfboard didn’t work out. We screwed it up. I’m so sorry.’ He’s like, ‘Oh, I didn’t even notice that was a mistake.’ Like, he didn’t even care. He was, like, giving us all this great feedback and positivity and all this stuff.”

Undertaker has been a driving force backstage in AAA since the lucha libre promotion was acquired by WWE. On October 25, the company held its Heroes Inmortales 2025 event in Mexico City. The card included a three-way match where Flammer retained the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship over Natalya and Faby Apache.

“When I got done with the match, I was thinking about the mistake and I’m like, ‘People loved the match.’ It was a great match, I’m so proud of the match,” Natalya said. “So who cares if there was a little mishap? We got the match back on track and everybody loved it.”

Natalya has made several appearances for AAA over the past several months. Since signing a new WWE contract in 2024, she’s also been given permission to take some matches outside the company for places like Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport and the NWA.

  • WWE uploaded the full Kelani Jordan vs. Jordynne Grace TNA Knockouts Championship match that headlined NXT last night.
  • WWE’s YouTube channel did a free live stream today broadcasting both nights of WrestleMania 41 from earlier this year. The separate videos for night one and night two are both available.
  • In an interview with Fox News Digital, Natalya named Bayley and Liv Morgan as two wrestlers she sees some of herself in:
    • There’s bits and pieces I see of myself in certain women. I think Bayley is very selfless. She’s all about giving back. She loves helping men and women. She’s somebody that just loves to give to the business. Even if she’s in a rut about something, she’s quick to pull herself out of it. She’s very grateful. She’s very grateful for all she has.
    • I gave her a book the other day, and an hour later she’s posting about it and sharing it. She celebrates her friends and I love that. She’s somebody that the locker room looks up to. If it’s somebody’s birthday, she’ll get them a cake.
    • I see a lot of grit in Liv Morgan. I take a lot of pride in the grit that I have because you can go far in the industry, but you can’t get your furthest without the grit. And so, I see Liv Morgan as somebody who has a lot of grit. She is so tough and she loves the industry. (Monday) she posted on her social media. She’s like, ‘It’s my 11th year in WWE.’ We were talking backstage once when she won the title her last time, I said, ‘Just remember you’re not an overnight success story.’ I said, ‘You are somebody that worked really, really hard to get everything that you have today – and that’s why you’re still here.’
    • People will just see us sometimes and think this just happened overnight. Liv is a really great example of somebody that hasn’t given up, has a lot of grit, doesn’t take no for an answer. She’s just gonna keep on growing and building and also giving back.
  • TJ Wilson (Tyson Kidd) praised his wife Natalya’s new book:
    • I’ve known Nattie for over 30 years — we met when I was just 12 years old. When she told me she was going to write a book, I thought, ‘I already know this story.’ But I quickly realized I only knew it from my perspective. What I hadn’t fully understood was her perspective of her own story — until now. And it’s so different than anything I ever expected from her, in the best way. As I read each page, I felt myself drawn in closer and closer. By the time I reached the last chapter, I found myself wishing it wouldn’t end.
    • I’m so proud of you, Nattie. And all of what is about to come- from you having the courage to tell your story.
  • David Otunga told MuscleManMalcolm that the documentary WWE produced on the Nexus a few years ago will never see the light of day:
    • We recorded that. It was completed… I talked to the guy, one of the producers, and literally like the next day, two days later, he got fired. They all got fired. They got let go in COVID. But I had just talked to him. Man, this guy was telling me, he was like, ‘Yo, the documentary was so good.’ He’s like, ‘It was long, they made us edit it down.
    • He said he spent a whole day doing this, got it to where they wanted it. He was telling me how fire my part was. He told me my interview was so good they were saving me for last. I know I smoked it, I’ll be honest with you. But I was just happy that they appreciated it too. They put me on last. I was the main event of the documentary, if you will. But anyway, now it’s not going to see the light of day. I think we should figure out how to get there. But it’s completed. The guy told me, it’s completed.

WWE star Natalya explains goal of her new book

WWE star Natalya hopes her new book is something that can help people — whether they have any familiarity with wrestling or not.

Titled “The Last Hart Beating,” Natalya’s memoir is now available to purchase after being released on October 28. She spoke with the New York Post during a media tour and explained what her goal in writing the book was. Natalya hopes that her story can help readers redefine the way they look at success. Because in a family that has accomplished so much, Natalya believes her success story is being the first Hart who wasn’t broken inside whenever her career in the ring is over.

“It’s so much for me about redefining the way you look at success in your life,” she said. “And that’s a big takeaway is — in a family that has done everything, I am not going to be the first person in my family to win a World Championship. I’m not going to be the first person in my family to get into the Hall of Fame. I’m not going to be the first person in my family to main event WrestleMania.

“But I am going to be the first person in my family to not be broken, not be broken inside. That’s the most important thing, is to leave with my head held high. So while I was going through all these chapters, it’s like I kept chasing all of these things that I thought were going to make me happy. And then when you sort of get to the end, you realize all the things that I was chasing — they weren’t the things that were going to make me happy. So people that read it, will I think redefine the way they look at success in their own lives.”

In the book, Natalya is open about the struggles her late father Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart faced in his life. Neidhart long suffered from brain trauma, which Natalya believes dates back to his early days playing football.

Natalya re-signed with WWE in 2024 but has gotten permission to compete in some outside matches at places like Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport. She’s shown a different side of herself at those shows, playing a more ruthless version of her WWE character. Bringing that character to WWE is her ultimate goal.

“It’s all I think about,” Natalya said.

Natalya praises fellow WWE star as ‘huge, huge inspiration’

At this moment in her WWE career, Natalya is taking a lot of inspiration from Cody Rhodes.

Natalya re-signed with WWE in 2024 but has gotten the company’s permission to take outside dates at places like Bloodsport and the NWA. She’s worked those shows as “Nattie Neidhart” — a more hard-hitting and ruthless version of her character — and her ultimate goal is to bring that persona to WWE.

While being interviewed on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Natalya said Rhodes is an inspiration for what she’s currently trying to do. Though it was under different circumstances, he was able to find himself outside of WWE and then do the best work of his career when he returned.

“Cody is actually somebody too that is an inspiration to me because he took a chance on himself. And I think about him a lot,” Natalya said.

“And I said to [her husband TJ Wilson] when Cody came back to WWE and he just took off and like everybody was, you know, he started doing the best work of his career. I’m like, ‘I admire Cody so much for the courage that he had to say, I have to step away and like find myself again.’ Cody is a huge, huge inspiration for me in that way where sometimes you got to take a step back [and] grow. He is proof of that. And he’s such a good person. He really, really is.”

Natalya and Cody are members of two of the greatest wrestling families ever — with Natalya representing the Hart dynasty and Cody continuing the Rhodes family legacy. Rhodes is the current WWE Champion and has a title defense against Drew McIntyre scheduled for Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1.

The release of Natalya’s new memoir — “The Last Hart Beating: From the Dungeon to WWE” — is now less than one week away. The book will be available to purchase on October 28.

Natalya: I wanted to be ‘everything that my dad wasn’t’ in WWE

Despite all the love she has for her father, Natalya modeled her WWE career on being everything Jim Neidhart wasn’t.

Natalya was the guest on Tuesday’s episode of Insight with Chris Van Vliet, promoting her new book that is set to be released on October 28. She discussed the current character evolution that she’s going through in the ring. After spending so much time just trying to make other people happy, Natalya is now focused on bringing a different side of herself with her “Nattie Neidhart” persona.

“I’ve done so many first-evers. I’ve had great matches. I’ve had monumental moments. I’ve had so much fun,” Natalya said. “But it was a character that I felt like I had to do to survive and make sure everybody was happy. I wanted to make the girls in the locker room happy. I wanted to make management happy. I wanted to make my family proud.”

Jim Neidhart (who passed away in 2018) had a Hall of Fame career in WWE as a member of The Hart Foundation, but his life was a tumultuous one and he was let go by the company multiple times. Because of that, Natalya was determined to always be dependable and do what was asked of her.

Natalya believes the difficulties her father went through were due to Neidhart suffering from brain trauma dating back to his early days playing football. That trauma also made it very challenging for Neidhart to be a good parent, but Natalya loved him unconditionally through all of his flaws.

“I wanted to just, you know, be everything that my dad wasn’t,” she said. “Which, you know, my dad wasn’t — he wasn’t stable. He wasn’t reliable. He was going through, which I talk about in the book, he was going through the hardest times of his life, suffering from — my dad had a very serious brain injury. And nobody knew that, but I just knew growing up, like, he got let go from WWE so many times. I was like, I am bound and determined to be everything everybody needs from me so I’ll never be like my dad and I’ll never let anybody down.”

When Natalya re-signed with WWE in 2024, she did so knowing that she still wanted to grow and evolve in her career. She is less of a people-pleaser than she used to be, and it’s been liberating for her to showcase her authentic self as “Nattie Neidhart” outside of WWE in promotions like GCW Bloodsport and the NWA. The persona is a more gritty and ruthless version of who fans have come to know her as.

Natalya said WWE and Paul “Triple H” Levesque have been very supportive in giving her permission for these outside appearances. Her hope is that she can now parlay her new character into WWE.

“While it’s taken me a long time for my ship to really come in, I really want to go on a powerful run in WWE. That’s my goal. That’s my dream,” she said.

WWE x AAA Worlds Collide notes: Xavier Woods, Reina de Reinas contender, Wyatt Sicks

Notes from Friday night’s World’s Collide event in Las Vegas.

In a backstage interview, it was revealed that Grayson Waller would be teaming with Kofi Kingston in the advertised New Day/Psycho Clown & Vikingo match for the AAA Tag Team titles. Xavier Woods revealed that he had surgery earlier in the week and as a result, was unable to wrestle.

Later, Woods wrote in character that the surgery was to remove a lipoma from the back of his head as a result of Penta giving him a Mexican destroyer. A recent storyline on Raw is The New Day attempting to ban the destroyer, which is a signature move of Penta’s.

After Psycho Clown and Pagano retained the titles, they were set to be interviewed when the lights went out. The Wyatt Sicks then made their surprise entrance, where they went to the ring and laid out both men in a 5 on 2 assault, attacking them with stairs and putting them through tables. The segment ended with the group holding the AAA Tag Team titles, indicating they wanted the next shot.

A new number one contender was also crowned for the AAA Reina de Reinas title. Natalya proved victorious, pinning Faby Apache as they were trading pin attempts. Natalya came to the ring portraying her “low-key legend’ character that has been seen in places like the NWA and Bloodspoort.

After the match, the two continued to fight with the announcers saying their feud is far from over. Natalya has now earned a future match against champion Flammer.

Becky Lynch reacts to upcoming title match on WWE Raw

Becky Lynch doesn’t want Natalya, she wants Nattie.

In a video posted on Instagram, Lynch shared footage of Natalya telling Lynch she’ll never stoop to her level then showing footage of Natalya attacking Lynch from behind through the years.

“bring this version or Nattie. I’m sick of Natalya. Ps. I never forget,” the caption reads.

Natalya and Lynch have been feuding in the last couple of weeks on Raw, with Lynch defeating Natalya’s protoge Maxxine Dupri on last week’s show. It was announced earlier this weekend that the two will now meet on Monday for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

2025 has seen Natalya adopt a new, more aggressive attitude outside of WWE when making appearances for promotions such as the NWA and GCW, where she has competed on Bloodsport cards. On these shows, she’s been billing herself as Nattie Neidhart as opposed to Natalya.

At Saturday’s Triplemania, she competed for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship against Faby Apache and champion Flammer under her Nattie Neidhart persona. Flammer retained her title after pining Apache despite her foot being on the ropes.

Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIV results: Natalya vs. Masha Slamovich, Nick Khan in attendance

Natalya/Nattie Neidhart remained undefeated in Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport action, defeating TNA wrestler Masha Slamovich by TKO in the headliner of Saturday’s 14th event in Rutherford, New Jersey.

The beginning of the end saw Slamovich push Neidhart into the crowd and then hit a somersault dive. Back on the mat, the former TNA Knockouts Champion hit a spin kick and then some ground and pound before Neidhart got up and applied a sharpshooter.

Slamovich eventually escaped, the two exchanged some adult language and middle fingers, and then Neidhart spit in her face. Neidhart then started pounding on Slamovich until the referee called for the TKO to end the match in just over seven minutes.

The 43-year-old is now 2-0 in Bloodsport after debuting with a win over Miyu Yamashita in April.

WWE contracted wrestlers went 4-1 on the afternoon as Neidhart, Pete Dunne, Charlie Dempsey and Erik of the War Raiders picked up wins with only Ivar of the War Raiders falling in defeat.

WWE president Nick Khan was also in attendance at the show, but was not officially shown during the Triller+ broadcast. He has been in attendance for Bloodsport shows previously including during WrestleMania 40 weekend in Philadelphia.

Barnett himself was not in action on his event for the first time since the fifth edition back in February 2021.

Natalya’s Lucha Libre AAA debut match revealed

Natalya’s Lucha Libre AAA debut will be in a three-way tag match.

After announcing Natalya for their July 25 TV taping, AAA has now revealed that she will be teaming up with NXT wrestler Lola Vice at the show. They’ll be facing Lady Shani & Faby Apache and Dalys & Chik Tormenta in a three-way bout at Juan de la Barrera Olympic Gymnasium in Mexico City.

This AAA debut comes after Natalya has already made appearances for GCW Bloodsport, the NWA, and Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling. The 43-year-old WWE veteran’s mindset is that she wants to wrestle everywhere and continue to prove herself. She has another Bloodsport match scheduled as well, with Natalya vs. TNA’s Masha Slamovich happening in New Jersey on August 2.

AAA is in the process of being acquired by WWE with that deal expected to be officially finalized by the end of September. Vice — former MMA fighter Valerie Loureda — has now worked multiple AAA matches as she looks to grow as a performer and gain experience.

El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser) is also set for the July 25 AAA event and will face off against Octagon Jr.

Natalya set for Lucha Libre AAA debut

Natalya is set to make her AAA debut.

She’s been announced for the promotion’s show on Friday, July 25 at the Gimnasio Olímpico Juan de la Barrera in Mexico City. The show goes head to head with CMLL’s event at Arena Mexico that night with Hechicero vs. Mistico and Neon vs. Mascara Dorada.

“NATALYA will visit MEXICO CITY to take part in the #AlianzasAAA tour event this FRIDAY, July 25,” AAA wrote on X.

An opponent for Natalya has not been named. However, Lola Vice is advertised to be wrestling alongside a mystery partner on the show in a triple threat tag bout against Lady Shani & Faby Apache and Dalys & Chik Tormenta.

The show on Friday will also feature El Grande Americano (allegedly Ludwig Kaiser) vs. Octagon Jr., and a match between Alberto El Patron and El Mesias with the stipulation that El Patron must leave AAA if he loses.

It will be Natalya’s fourth match this year for a promotion other than WWE, although WWE purchased AAA earlier this year. She beat Miyu Yamashita for GCW in April, lost to Kenzie Paige at the NWA Crockett Cup in May, and beat Promise Braxton at a Reality of Wrestling event last month.

AAA Alianza tour lineup for Friday, July 25 in Mexico City:

  • El Mesias vs. Alberto El Patron (El Patron must leave AAA if he loses)
  • El Grande Americano vs. Octagon Jr.
  • Faby Apache and Lady Shani vs. Chik Tormenta & Dalys
  • Mr. Iguana, Pagano & Psycho Clown vs. Mech Wolf, Sanson, and Forastero
  • Lola Vice & TBA vs. Chik Tormenta & Dalys vs. Faby Apache & Lady Shani
  • Natalya in action

Natalya to face Masha Slamovich at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIV

Natalya is returning to Bloodsport.

Josh Barnett made a match between Natalya and Masha Slamovich official for Bloodsport XIV on August 2 in East Rutherford, New Jersey after the two spent most of Monday trading words on social media.

“If you both are so willing to fight then I’ve got the perfect place for it. Let’s see who gets first blood Aug 2nd,” he wrote.

After Natalya made a post reflecting on WWE’s Evolution pay-per-view, Slamovich asked Natalya if she was grateful for the women out there waiting to beat her. The two continued to exchange words until Barnett made the match official.

Slamovich is not only the JCW World Champion, but also currently holds the TNA Knockouts title. She is set to defend it at Sunday’s TNA Slammiversary event against NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne in a match where both titles are on the line.

The bout is the first to be announced for Bloodsport XIV. Talent scheduled to appear include Jonathan Gresham, Nick Comoroto, Simon Gotch, Matt Mako, Dominic Garrini, and Janai Kai. It will stream live on Triller.

Natalya to headline event for Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling

WWE star Natalya is officially set to headline an event for Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling this weekend.

After already announcing that she would be wrestling at the show, Reality of Wrestling has confirmed that Natalya vs. Promise Braxton will be the main event of their all-women’s Heart and Soul card this Saturday (June 28). The announcement comes after an exchange between the two wrestlers on social media.

Natalya is being billed as “Nattie” for the match, which was also the case for the recent non-WWE appearances she made for Bloodsport and the NWA. It’s a more aggressive side of her character than she usually shows in WWE.

Yesterday, Natalya cut a social media promo responding to Braxton after Braxton called her washed up.

“You want to say that I’m washed? I’m going to remember those words, Promise, when I’m choking out your tired lifeless body,” she said. “Because usually I only train little bitches like you in my Dungeon. But on June 28, I’m going to teach you the toughest lesson of them all: Natalya elevates, and Nattie decimates.”

Natalya signed a new multi-year contract with WWE last year but has been allowed to make some select appearances outside of the company. Despite being a veteran, she’s hungry to still prove herself and isn’t content with just taking a paycheck.

Braxton is a former champion for Reality of Wrestling, holding their Diamonds Championship twice.

Reality of Wrestling is one of the training schools that WWE has partnered with for their WWE ID talent development program. This Saturday, Reality of Wrestling is holding two shows in Texas City, Texas with Heart and Soul being the second half of the doubleheader.
