Nattie Neidhart autobiography movie reportedly drawing Hollywood interest

A movie based on Nattie Neidhart’s 2025 autobiography, The Last Hart Beating, could be in the works.

According to a report from WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select on Thursday, several Hollywood names have “expressed strong interest” in turning the book into a movie. An “A-list production company” is said to be interested.

In early 2024, Nattie posted a message to Instagram that she was working on a project “near and dear” to her heart, and tagged Rory Culkin and Yale Productions.

Later that year, Nattie spoke to TV Insider about The Iron Claw, the movie based on the Von Erichs, and also teased that a movie based on her family could be in the works. She also mentioned Paul Walter Hauser as someone who could potentially play her father, Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart.

Nattie said:

“If I were going to do a movie and could choose who I would personally want to play my dad, it would be Paul Walter Hauser. Paul is a huge wrestling fan. He just won the Emmy Award and called out Matt Cardona in his acceptance speech. I love Paul’s passion for the industry. I see old footage of my dad and think, ‘If there was a movie on the Hart family, call Paul Walter Hauser.’ I can’t unsee him as my dad. He has to be my dad. I love Paul. I think it’s so commendable that someone from his world has so much respect for us.”

Nattie pays tribute to Owen Hart: ‘There was no one like him’

Nattie Neidhart paid tribute to her late uncle Owen Hart on his birthday.

Owen would have turned 61 years old today. Nattie posted a video to Instagram featuring her and TJ Wilson speaking about Owen along with clips from Owen’s career.

She captioned her post with:

“Happy birthday to the King of Harts, Owen Hart, on his birthday.

I love being able to celebrate what an incredible person Owen was. He was deeply loved, and the impact he had on people is something that still lives on every single day. Owen’s spirit continues to shine so brightly.

I hope you take a moment to watch this and remember Owen Hart today. 🖤👑”

Nattie says in the video:

“As the years pass, I never stopped thinking about Owen. I never stopped thinking about the person that he was, what he brought to this world, what he did, and how he contributed to professional wrestling.

But most of all, I never stopped thinking about what an amazing person he was to his family.”

Wilson spoke about Owen’s sense of humor and how members of the Hart family try to keep that part of him alive:

“We just kind of do our best to imitate Owen in our daily lives. And if at the end of the night, if you came pretty close to imitating Owen, you had a hell of a day.”

Nattie added that she wishes she could ask Owen about growing up as the youngest member of the Hart family and trying to find his own way in wrestling.

“It would be so cool to be asking Owen questions about in a family full of greats, you being the baby, how did you stand out? Like, I wish I could ask Owen those questions about how he tried to make it in wrestling, and like what it was like when he first stepped foot in the dungeon himself.”

Nattie closed by saying that she and Wilson feel it is important to help preserve Owen’s legacy with their work at the Dungeon 2.0.

“It’s really, really important, especially with the dungeon, for TJ and I to help also keep Owen’s legacy alive, because there was no one like him.”

Nattie appears on WWE NXT, confronts Jaida Parker

WWE veteran Nattie recently appeared on NXT and confronted Jaida Parker.

In the opening match of the May 5 episode of WWE NXT, fans saw Kali Armstrong secure a win over Jaida Parker.

Later in the show, fans saw the surprising return of Nattie, aka Natalya, to WWE NXT. The former women’s champion and wrestling veteran, Nattie, appeared in the women’s locker room, where a devastated Parker was going through a breakdown following her loss.

Nattie confronted Parker and claimed that the rumors about her being soft were possibly true before walking off. “I guess what they are saying about Ms Parker is true. You’ve gotten soft,” she said.

It is currently unknown whether WWE plans to have Parker feud with Nattie or place them together in a mentor-mentee relationship.

Nattie wants to work with Jaida Parker

In a previous interview with Busted Open Radio, Nattie had opened up about her intentions of working with Jaida Parker (H/T Fightful)

I’d like to have really great matches, but I need women that are gonna really, really challenge me and knock me on my ass, and I think about some of the different women on the main roster. There’s quite a few that I would like to work with, but… for example, Jaida Parker, NXT… She only probably reached half of her potential, if that. But I see her as somebody that I’m like, this girl can throw down. I’ve seen her in matches where I’m like, she is somebody that I kind of want to start a fight with,” she said.

“I want her to knock me on my ass so I can kick her ass back. I need that to survive. It’s like that rush of kill or be killed sort of thing, so if I was looking for a fight with somebody, I’d be like, I’d like to start a fight with Jaida Parker, for example.”

Nattie vs. Shayna Baszler added to Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XV

A new match is official for the next Bloodsport card.

It was confirmed on Friday that Nattie would face former WWE wrestler Shayna Baszler on April 17. On social media, Nattie asked Baszler to bring the version of herself that was feared in the WWE locker room.

“I want you to bring me the killing machine Shayna,” Nattie wrote. “Bring me the most feared woman ever in the WWE locker room. Bring me the MMA pioneer who men and women knew to avoid. I know I’m on borrowed time, if I don’t deliver, then back comes the sparkles, back comes the Bimbo. I’m marching into your match, in your world, Shayna. And I’m coming to f*** you up.”

Nattie previously competed at last year’s Bloodsport that took place during WrestleMania weekend, where she defeated Miyu Yamashita.

Baszler was released from her WWE contract last year, but continues to make appearances on their television and has worked at the WWE Performance Center. Most recently, she was seen training Kelani Jordan in her match against Lola Vice that took place at NXT Vengeance Day earlier this month.

New match announced for WWE Raw

The two met on the February 9 edition of Raw in a match that lasted just 1 minute and 35 seconds before both wrestlers were counted out.

“Maxxine Dupri will go one-on-one with Nattie. There is plenty of bad blood there.”

WWE website makes Natalya’s name change official

WWE has officially updated its website to reflect Natalya’s recent name change.

As of today, Natalya is officially listed as “Nattie” on WWE.com’s roster page. It’s a persona that she first adopted outside of the company and is now bringing to WWE. She shifted into the Nattie character last month when she turned heel and attacked her protege Maxxine Dupri.

Natalya signed a new WWE contract in 2024 that allowed her to make some outside appearances at places like Bloodsport and the NWA. That’s where she cultivated this hard-hitting and more ruthless version of herself that we’ve seen as Nattie.

Tonight’s episode of Raw will feature a grudge match between Nattie and Dupri. Their feud has played off the real-life dynamic of Natalya mentoring Dupri and helping her become one of 2025’s most improved wrestlers.

After her heel turn last month, Nattie cut a promo explaining her actions and announcing her name change.

“Maxxine, I made you — and you failed. You didn’t fail you, you failed me,” she said. “You’re just like the rest of them. You think because you’ve rolled with a legend that you can roll like a legend. But that will never happen again. This is a whole new me. And when I’m done with you Maxxine, I’m coming for it all. Because Natalya elevates, but Nattie decimates.”

Natalya to headline event for Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling

WWE star Natalya is officially set to headline an event for Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling this weekend.

After already announcing that she would be wrestling at the show, Reality of Wrestling has confirmed that Natalya vs. Promise Braxton will be the main event of their all-women’s Heart and Soul card this Saturday (June 28). The announcement comes after an exchange between the two wrestlers on social media.

Natalya is being billed as “Nattie” for the match, which was also the case for the recent non-WWE appearances she made for Bloodsport and the NWA. It’s a more aggressive side of her character than she usually shows in WWE.

Yesterday, Natalya cut a social media promo responding to Braxton after Braxton called her washed up.

“You want to say that I’m washed? I’m going to remember those words, Promise, when I’m choking out your tired lifeless body,” she said. “Because usually I only train little bitches like you in my Dungeon. But on June 28, I’m going to teach you the toughest lesson of them all: Natalya elevates, and Nattie decimates.”

Natalya signed a new multi-year contract with WWE last year but has been allowed to make some select appearances outside of the company. Despite being a veteran, she’s hungry to still prove herself and isn’t content with just taking a paycheck.

Braxton is a former champion for Reality of Wrestling, holding their Diamonds Championship twice.

Reality of Wrestling is one of the training schools that WWE has partnered with for their WWE ID talent development program. This Saturday, Reality of Wrestling is holding two shows in Texas City, Texas with Heart and Soul being the second half of the doubleheader.
