Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson have won the NJPW Strong Tag Team Turbulence tournament.
The Good Brothers defeated Violence Unlimited (Brody King & Chris Dickinson) in 10:59 in the tournament finals on this week’s Strong. Anderson pinned Dickinson after hitting a Magic Killer to claim victory.
Following their win, Anderson cut a promo and listed off a series of cities in Japan. He said The Good Brothers are number one and are coming for the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship.
The Good Brothers outlasted Clark Connors and TJP in round one of the tournament, Yuji Nagata and Ren Narita in the semifinals, then defeated King and Dickinson in the finals.
Tag Team Turbulence marked the first NJPW action for Gallows and Anderson since leaving the company for WWE back in February 2016.
In addition to working for NJPW, Gallows and Anderson appear weekly on AEW Dynamite. They are also Impact Wrestling World Tag Team Champions, winning the titles at Slammiversary earlier this month.
Following Friday’s NJPW Strong, the finals are set for the Tag Team Turbulence tournament.
The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows) and Violence Unlimited (Chris Dickinson & Brody King) advanced to the finals with wins on Strong.
King and Dickinson were victorious over the West Coast Wrecking Crew duo of Jorel Nelson and Royce Isaacs. King pinned Jorel Nelson after hitting him with a lariat.
On the other side of the bracket, The Good Brothers advanced with a victory over Yuji Nagata and Ren Narita. Anderson pinned Narita following a Magic Killer.
The Tag Team Turbulence finals will be held on the Friday, July 30 episode.
This week’s Strong also featured an NJPW Strong Openweight Championship match between Tom Lawlor and Satoshi Kojima. Lawlor retained the title, winning by submission with a rear naked choke.
Strong airs Fridays at 10 p.m. Eastern time on NJPW World and is available on demand shortly after airing.
New Impact Tag Team Champions were crowned at tonight’s Slammiversary event.
The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows) defeated champions Violent by Design (Rhino and Doering), Fallah Bahh and the debuting No Way (formerly No Way Jose in WWE), and the team of Rich Swann and Willle Mack in a four-way match. The finish had Rhino setting up for the gore, but Anderson hit a cutter, then Gallows came in as the two hit the Magic Killer, giving Good Brothers the win and the titles for a second time.
Violent by Design had been champions since the Impact that aired on May 17, when they defeated Finjuice to win the titles. They defended the titles under the Freebird rule, giving Rhino, Joe Doering, and Deaner their first Tag Team title win and Eric Young his third.
No Way was a surprise tag team partner for Fallah Bahh. It was announced prior to Slammiversary that TJP, Bahh’s tag team partner, would be unable to make it to the show.
The other tag team titles in Impact, the Knockouts Tag Team titles, also changed hands. The Decay’s Rosemary and Havok defeated Fire ‘n’ Flava (Tasha Steelz and Kiera Hogan) to win the titles during the pre-show prior to Slammiversary.
Attempting to get a measure of revenge for being fired, Don Callis has assembled Impact World Champion Kenny Omega and the Good Brothers for a six-man tag team match against Sami Callihan, Moose and Chris Sabin, put together by Tommy Dreamer after Callis suggested the idea.
The match will be a preview for the July Slammiversary clash between Omega and Callihan for Omega’s title in addition to Moose vs. Sabin.
Thursday’s show will also feature Eddie Edwards vs. Satoshi Kojima one week after the two failed to wrest the Tag Team Titles away from Violent By Design; Chris Bey vs. Petey Williams in a match between former X-Division Champions; and TJP and Fallah Bahh vs. Rich Swann and Willie Mack.
A week after she defeated Susan, Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo will take on Kimber Lee in a non-title match on the BTI pre-show as the feud between the former stablemates rages on.
Our live coverage begins at 8 PM Eastern.

Opening video recapped Don Callis and Tommy Dreamer setting up tonight’s main event between Omega and the Good Brothers vs Callihan, Moose, and Sabin. Also, Edwards and Kojima challenged for the tag team titles last week, which ended with Edwards asking Kojima for a singles match, only to get confronted by W. Morrissey.
Show was going to open with Edwards vs Kojima, but before Edwards could come out, W. Morrissey appeared on the screen and said that Edwards was not going to make it to the match tonight. Morrissey said that everyone respected Edwards, but no one had his back when he jumped him in the parking lot.
Instead of Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers and Sam Beale came out. Myers talked trash to Kojima and ended up attacking him 2-on-1 until Jake Something came down for the save. Referee came out with word from management that a tag match was now official.
Satoshi Kojima & Jake Something defeated Brian Myers & Sam Beale
Match started as a brawl outside the ring, when Kojima and Something brought back Myers and Beale after they tried to leave to the back.
Once in the ring, Something got cut off by Myers and Beale, worked on for most of the match, they kept tagging in and out, never letting go of Something. It was until Something managed to hit a desperation double clothesline that he got a short breather, enough to tag Kojima in.
Kojima took out Myers, hit the machine gun chops on Beale, the top rope elbow, DDT, but as he was about to hit the Koji cutter, he got cut off by Myers. Something hit a blackhole slam on Myers, allowing Kojima to hit the Koji cutter and lariato for the win.
I take it Kojima either didn’t understand Morrissey, or he just wasn’t all that concerned about Edwards getting jumped outside the building. This should be his final night with Impact, so he probably didn’t care much about Edwards.
– Gia Miller interviewed D’Amore about Anthem’s decision to have Dreamer as their representative to oversee operations. He didn’t say much before Rosemary and Havok appeared before them and claimed that they had wins over Fire ‘n Flava and wanted to challenge for the Knockouts tag titles. D’Amore didn’t make it official, but he was going to consider it if they kept the magic to a minimum.
– D’lo Brown and Josh Matthews ran down tonight’s card.
Rachael Ellering (with Jazz) defeated Tenille Dashwood (with Kaleb with a K)
For weeks, Dashwood has been a thorn in Ellering’s shoe, she worsened the rift between Jordynne Grace and Ellering, and after weeks of polite rejections, Ellering finally had enough of Dashwood and challenged her to a match.
The action was back and forward early on, but as Ellering started to gain momentum, Kaleb was there to distract her and allowed Dashwood to cut her off and turned things around.
Dashwood had control for a long while, she kept going for pin attempts, but Ellering kept kicking out regardless of what Dashwood would throw at her. It wasn’t until Dashwood distracted herself taking a photo, that Ellering caught her with a running swinging neckbreaker and was able to cut off the momentum. Kaleb tried to interfere and give Dashwood control again, but Ellering got rid of him, blocked a sunset flip from Dashwood, and rolled her down for the pin win.
Dashwood and Kaleb ganged up on Ellering and later Jazz when Jazz tried to save Ellering. Grace ran down and helped clear the ring. Ellering offered a handshake, but Grace instead hugged her for the reconciliation. I was surprised they didn’t milk the dissension more.
– Miller interviewed Chris Bey about being a neutral party in the gang war that is happening in the X Division. Bey said that he was out there for himself only. Austin, Raju, Shera, and Fulton came down, and while Bey thought they would try to recruit them, they told Bey they didn’t need him, but appreciated he wasn’t getting in the way. The Chris Bey babyface turn is coming.
Rich Swann & Willie Mack vs TJP & Fallah Bahh ended in no contest.
While not official, this match came about as a friendly challenge between each team, as they both have eyed the tag team championships, currently in the hands of Violent By Design.
This was a fun match. It started with some stalemates between both teams, some high flying moves from Swann, but suddenly, Violent By Design ran down and attacked both teams. Rhino gored Mack, Deaner hit the Deaner DDT on TJP, Doering hit a DVD on Swann, and both teams were left laying as VBD posed over their bodies.
This surely has to set up a 3-way tag match for Slammiversary.
– Backstage, Hogan and Steelz argued that Havok and Rosemary shouldn’t be allowed to just jump in and ask for a title challenge, they should work from the bottom to earn their spot. They went looking for D’Amore, and as usual, as means to get rid of Steelz and Hogan, D’Amore just booked a match where Havok and Rosemary can earn their shot. Hogan and Steelz are too good.
– Miller interviewed Dreamer and his team for tonight’s match and whether everyone is on the same page. Dreamer told them that they all had the same enemy and they needed to work together. Sabin said that he was there for Dreamer and Impact, and was willing to work with the team for it. Moose told them that he doesn’t care about anyone, all he cares about is winning. Callihan said that all that matters is beating up Omega and company.
Chris Bey defeated Petey Williams
Similar to Bey’s issues with Austin and Raju, he also has issues with Petey Williams and Trey Miguel, as they also hoped he’d join them to confront Austin and Raju, and instead, Bey left them for dead.
Great fast paced back and forward match. Williams got a couple of bear falls early on, but momentum quickly turned when Bey caught him with a scissors kick between the ropes. The match finally slowed down when Bey locked leg scissors on Williams, but he reversed the lock. Williams came back with a big German, running knees, but when he went for the Canadian destroyer, Bey blocked and hit a TKO version neckbreaker. Bey went for the art of finesse, but was countered into a Russian side leg sweep. Williams once again chased the destroyer, but was blocked and instead locked in the sharpshooter for another near fall.
Finish finally came after Bey blocked yet another destroyer, hit a cutter and the art of finesse for the win.
These two will meet again on Slammiversary in the Ultimate X match for the D Division title.
After the match, Ace Austin, Rohit Raju, Shera, and Fulton all came out. They attacked Williams while Austin and Raju teased Bey to not get involved. Bey was leaving to the back when Miguel and Josh Alexander ran down to save Williams. The numbers game was too much though, but Bey eventually had a change of heart and ran down to help attack Austin and friends. All the babyfaces took out Raju and Austin and controlled the ring. All the babyfaces accepted Bey to their side.
– Backstage, Susan and Kimber Lee plotted that their plans had failed and they had hit rock bottom. Lee tried to convince Susan that they should chase the titles, and if everything else fails, there’s always Su Yung as a backup plan. Susan didn’t know who Su Yung was.
– Jake Something cut a promo about not being the man he was before, he was strong and it didn’t matter what his name was, because he did the talking in the ring. He challenged Brian Myers to a match and if he wins, Myers must call him “professional”.
Steve Maclin defeated Manny Smith
Maclin debuted a couple of weeks ago, this being only his second match.
This was a squash match through and through, and while it was somewhat longer than usual, Maclin never lost control. Maclin got a headlock early on and kept it for a while, hit an olympic slam, a couple of lariats, a spear to a Smith on the tree of woe, and finally, a German and elbows before hitting his signature Michinoku driver II-B for the win.
Team Callis (Kenny Omega, Karl Anderson, & Doc Gallows) (with Don Callis) defeated Team Dreamer (Sami Callihan, Chris Sabin, & Moose) (with Tommy Dreamer)
Two weeks ago, Dreamer, on behalf of Anthem, fired Don Callis from his EVP position with Impact Wrestling. Last week, in a passive aggressive way, Callis challenged Dreamer to come up with a team to challenge his team of Omega and the Good Brothers.
Team Dreamer is a bit of turmoil, as Sabin and Moose are currently feuding and set to wrestle each other at Slammiversary, but also, neither man is on great terms with Callihan, who has always been the antagonist.
The dissension between Moose and Sabin quickly came up, and so Callihan decided to tag in first and deal with the match himself. He managed to maintain control throughout the break, working ok with Sabin, but once again, Sabin and Moose started tagging each other the hard way, and it was through these distractions, that Anderson was able to cut off Sabin and turned things around.
Omega and the Brothers mostly worked over Sabin with quick tags, a couple of triple team moves, constantly going for the head with strikes and chokes. Sabin at one point managed to escape and jump for the hot tag, but Moose didn’t extend the hand, so instead Callihan had to jump in for the hot tag.
Callihan was going for the package piledriver on Anderson, but Omega distracted the referee to allow Anderson to low blow Callihan and force him to tag in Sabin again. Sabin did keep down Omega and company, but now Moose blind tagged himself in, cut off Sabin’s momentum, and when Sabin complained, Moose instead tagged himself out via chokeslam on Sabin.
Outside the ring, Dreamer complained to Moose about turning on them, but because Callis pushed Dreamer into Moose without them noticing, Moose thought that Dreamer had attacked and so attacked back.
Back in the ring, without Moose and Callihan, Sabin was an easy prey for Omega and the Good Brothers to finish and pin for the win.
Omega and company celebrated in the ring as the show went off the air.
Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson will return to an NJPW ring for the first time since 2016.
The Good Brothers were announced as participants in NJPW Strong’s Tag Team Turbulence tournament, to be held beginning in July.
Gallows and Anderson last appeared for NJPW in February 2016. They left the promotion to join WWE in something of a talent raid, as AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Gallows and Anderson all left NJPW for WWE in January or February of that year.
Gallows and Anderson will be part of an eight-team field. Clark Connors & TJP, Yuji Nagata & Ren Narita, Fred Yehi & Wheeler Yuta, Kevin Knight & The DKC, Jorel Nelson & Royce Isaacs, Brody King & Chris Dickinson, plus JR Kratos & Danny Limelight will comprise the rest of the tournament.
The Tag Team Turbulence tournament will kick off on the July 16 episode of Strong. All four first round matches will air on that show.
The first round matches are:
The Good Brothers vs. Clark Connors & TJP
Yuji Nagata & Ren Narita vs. Fred Yehi & Wheeler Yuta
Kevin Knight & The DKC vs. Jorel Nelson & Royce Isaacs
Brody King & Chris Dickinson vs. JR Kratos & Danny Limelight
Gallows and Anderson held the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship three times in NJPW. The Good Brothers also won the 2013 World Tag League tournament.
Impact World Champion Kenny Omega makes his Impact Plus in-ring debut tonight when he teams with the Good Brothers to face Tag Team Champions FinJuice and Eddie Edwards at Under Siege.
Even though the world title won’t be on the line, the nine-match card features several championship matches, several of which were finalized last Thursday.
Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo will look to successfully defend her title once again when she faces former champion Havok; X-Division Champion Josh Alexander will take on New Japan’s El Phantasmo; and Knockouts Tag Team Champions Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering will rematch former champions Fire N’Flava.
Under Siege will also feature a six-way that will determine the next World title challenger in addition to a four-way that will determine the next Tag Team title challengers.
Also announced for the show: Brian Myers vs. Black Taurus; W. Morrissey vs. Willie Mack; and Tenille Dashwood and Taylor Wilde vs. Susan and Kimber Lee.
Our live coverage kicks off at 8 PM Eastern.

We’re live!
Brian Myers defeated Black Taurus (w/ Decay)
After losing his qualifier match against Matt Cardona, Brian Myers found himself as the punchline to Decay’s jokes as Rosemary tried to read him his future. On the last episode of Impact, Myers defeated Crazzy Steve, only to get taken out by Taurus seconds later, setting up tonight’s match.
Story of the match was that Taurus had the power advantage over Myers, but also, the numbers advantage outside the ring, with Crazzy Steve and Rosemary, something that Myers eventually had to use to distract Taurus, by attacking Steve, and finally managed to attack Taurus from behind and gain control of the match.
Myers worked over Taurus for a couple of minutes until Taurus got a desperation top rope crossbody to bring down Myers. Taurus had a good couple of lucha spots, a good near fall after a crucifix bomb and a shoulder breaker, but he couldn’t keep Myers down. After a couple more near falls, Myers managed to land a roster cut out of nowhere after he had poked Tauru’s eye.
Myers has wins over both Steve and Taurus, so I would imagine a tag team match is next.
– D’lo Brown and Matt Striker ran down tonight’s card.
Taylor Wilde & Tenille Dashwood (with Kaleb with a K) defeated Kimber Lee & Susan
Taylor Wilde made her big return at Rebellion and saved Dashwood from an attack at the hands of Deonna Purrazzo, Lee, and Susan. After doing so, Susan and Lee decided to put their focus on taking out Wilde, who’s only focus is the Knockouts Championship, but unfortunately for Wilde, Dashwood now thinks that she and Wilde are destined to be tag team partners, which Wilde is just not interested in being.
Not much to the match, but it did the point across that even if Wilde does not want to be a team with Dashwood, both women ended up getting a win against the team of Susan and Lee. It was a short match with little to none heat from the heels. At one point, Dashwood was taken out and Wilde had to deal with Susan and Lee by herself, but at the end, it was Kaleb that assisted Wilde, by kicking Susan and setting her up for Wilde to pin her. Wilde didn’t see the assist, but she still didn’t want to celebrate with Dashwood.
This seems to be building to a Wilde vs Dashwood match, likely at Against All Odds.
– Sami Callihan cut a promo about going through the roster if necessary, all to win the championship.
Ace Austin & Madman Fulton defeated XXXL (Acey Romero & Larry D), TJP & Petey Williams, and Rohit Raju & Mahabali Shera in a Impact Tag Team title no. 1 contenders match
These teams are made from the competitors that failed to become #1 contenders to the X Division Championship. As a second opportunity, they all entered to this match to become the #1 contenders to FinJuice’s tag team championships.
Match started with Fulton and Romero going at it, but as it went on, we started to test out different pair ups between competitors. This wasn’t tornado tag rules, so every pair up got a chance to showcase and get some signature spots in before transitioning to a different pair. What made this dynamic was that half of the men involved were super heavyweights, and the other cruiserweight size wrestlers, so there were changes from seeing a hoss fight to fast paced counters and reversals.
The match slowed down a bit when Shera and Raju cut off Williams and kept him in their corner, and for that time, the match felt like a match between two teams. Eventually, Austin and Fulton got in and they worked over TJP the same way that Williams had been worked on by Raju and Shera. At this point, commentary started to sell that TJP and Williams were the only team that was really getting tired while everyone got time to rest, yet they are the most experienced in the field.
Williams got a hot tag against Austin, but as soon as it seemed that Austin was about to cut him off, XXXL had enough and decided to get in the ring and take out everyone.
Last couple of minutes, the match picked up a lot, with every team stealing tags on each other and attempting to end the match, but there were just too many people involved for a clear pin. Finish finally came when Fulton took out both Romero and D, ending with an assisted plancha for Austin to pin D for the win. For the amount of people, this was a great and organized match with great pacing.
It will be Ace Austin and Fulton vs. Tag Team Champions FinJuice in the future.
– Gia Miller interviewed Hogan and Steelz about their match. They said they’re regaining the titles tonight. Great stuff from both.
W. Morrissey defeated Willie Mack
Morrissey debuted at Rebellion and call it coincidence, but he made a statement by taking out Mack in his match. Mack decided to make a challenge that Morrissey answered in the form of a beat down and it all came down to this match.
Mack started hot, he rushed at Morrissey at the bell, and while having some hiccups, he kept the offense and at one point made Morrissey walk away to recoup, but as much as Mack did, Morrissey wasn’t that injured and easily recovered.
At one point, Morrissey knocked out Mack with a big boot and worked over him for a couple of minutes before Mack made a comeback, but it was a short-lived comeback. The beat down continued for most of the match, but at the end, Mack did manage to make a great comeback with a couple of near falls, but at the end, Morrissey cut him off again and destroyed Mack with a big boot to the back of the head. This went on way longer than I expected, but it was good.
After the match, Morrissey kept attacking Mack, but as he was about to use a chair, Rich Swann made his first appearance since losing the World title at Rebellion for the save. He and Mack cleared the ring before the big staredown between Morrissey and Swann.
Fire N’ Flava (Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz) defeated Jordynne Grace & Rachael Ellering to win the Knockouts Tag Team championship
This is the title rematch from Rebellion, where Grace and Ellering defeated Hogan and Steelz to capture the titles. Going into this match, Hogan and Steelz have been messing around with Grace’s confidence, making her believe that she is the weak link of the team and that it was all Ellering, who won the titles at Rebellion.
Even with Hogan and Steelz jumping Grace and Ellering at the start, it was the champions that managed to control the match early on with their power advantage. After watching Grace and Ellering show off, tossing around Hogan for minutes, Steelz finally got in and helped cut off Ellering, cut the ring in half on her, and completely turn the match around.
Hogan and Steelz worked over Ellering for a long time, constant tags, always keeping Ellering down on the mat, switching between kicks and submissions, with the occasional tease to Grace in the corner.
Grace made the hot tag and it led to both teams chasing the pin, trading big moves. At the end, it came down to Steelz and Grace, with the latter going for the Vader bomb before she got cut off. Outside the ring, Hogan took out Ellering with a sliced bread on the floor, but in the ring, as Grace went for a superplex, Steelz blocked it, dropped Grace, hit a frog splash, and won the match to recapture the titles. This was so much better than their Rebellion match.
Fire ‘n Flava are 2-time champions.
– We got a Swinger’s Palace skit with XXXL wanting to get a bet in for the main event and it went nowhere.
X-Division Champion Josh Alexander defeated El Phantasmo to retain the title
In a matter of two weeks, ELP debuted on Impact Wrestling with a singles win, and then a win to become the #1 contender to Josh Alexander’s title. There is no story between these men, just a championship on the line.
This was fantastically paced. The story of the match was that Alexander was a better wrestler, he had the upper hand when it came power and technique, but as it has been rumored, ELP’s boot is allegedly loaded, and surprisingly, while nothing was working against Alexander, it was the stomps and kicks that were hurting Alexander way more than they should, and thus it led to ELP dismantle Alexander’s limbs slowly.
Alexander would still deliver some desperation attacks here and there, because even with injured limbs, Alexander was still a better and stronger wrestler, he just happens to be across the ring from a troll level wrestler that is really hard to anticipate and counter.
Last couple of minutes saw Alexander start to chase the ankle lock, while ELP started going for the superkick over and over, but he just couldn’t make contact.
At the end, Alexander went for divine intervention, but ELP countered. Alexander locked in the ankle lock, powerbomb into the knee, and after a couple of stomps, submitted ELP! Awesome match.
I totally expected ELP to win the championship, but it’s great to see that Impact is putting their coins in Alexander’s basket.
– Gia Miller interviewed FinJuice and Edwards. Robinson said that there wouldn’t be any interference because everyone would be in there in the ring. Finlay hyped the match, saying this is a combination of some of the greatest active wrestlers today.
Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo (w/ Kimber Lee & Susan) defeated Havok to retain the title
Havok had been eyeing Purrazzo for a while, but it wasn’t until last week where she defeated Rosemary in a #1 contendership match, in which she finally achieved what she wanted, a one-on-one shot with Purrazzo for the title.
Havok is Purrazzo’s first actual powerhouse challenger since winning the championship, and so the story of the match was that of the technical wrestler trying to work herself around to bring down Havok to her knees and target one of her limbs, the left arm as usual, setting it up for the Fujiwara armbar.
Havok made a couple of comebacks using her strength to power out of Purrazzo’s holds, but Havok would end up back on her knees with Purrazzo working the arm. Havok got her biggest offense, locking in a single leg Boston crab, taking out both Susan and Lee, but as she went for the running kicks, Purrazzo dodged, brought her down to the mat, and submitted Havok with the Fujiwara armbar. Purrazzo looked great, even winning the match with her 3rd from the top signature move.
Eddie Edwards & Tag Team Champions FinJuice (Juice Robinson & David Finlay) defeated Impact World Champion Kenny Omega & The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows)
FInJuice and the Good Brothers have feuded over the tag team titles for months now, but now that Omega has joined Impact and won the championship, the group became a nuisance for Impact, and thus Eddie Edwards, the heart and soul of Impact, joined the fight. As of late, Omega and the Good Brothers cost Edwards his shot at the #1 contendership six-way match, and hence this match was booked.
Match started with some good back and forward tag team wrestling between FinJuice and the Good Brothers, neither team was able to gain proper advantage, and it all led to Edwards vs Omega for the first time. The match continued with Omega vs Robinson, with the latter actually having most of the offense until Anderson and Gallows had to get involved to allow Omega to cut Robinson out.
It didn’t take long for Finlay to get the hot tag and run wild against Anderson, but he too was cut off by the teamwork and cheats from Omega, Anderson, and Gallows. At the end, it all built to a second Edwards vs Omega face off, a proper one with more time where Edwards got himself a near fall with a blue thunder bomb. Edwards hit a Tiger bomb for a near fall, which was the point that Omega woke up and started hitting V-triggers and snap dragon suplexes.
Finish saw FinJuice stop a magic killer. Finlay hit the stunner on Anderson, pulp friction by Robinson, and the Boston knee party by Edwards for the pin.
This was great. Whether it is Against All Odds or Slammiversary, Edwards vs Omega is coming close to a boiling point.
– Brown and Striker announced that Austin and Fulton challenge FinJuice for the titles on next week’s Impact.
Moose defeated Trey Miguel, Chris Bey, Matt Cardona, Chris Sabin, & Sami Callihan in a World title no. 1 contender match
Each of these men won qualifiers in the last couple of months in order to advance to this six-way match, where the winner will challenge Kenny Omega for the Impact World Championship. Callihan comes in with momentum, as he got the win over Sabin on the go-home show’s Moose, Bey, and Callihan vs Sabin, Miguel, and Cardona match.
Match started with Moose taking everyone out single handedly, it took the combined forces of Bey and Sabin’s superkicks to finally get him off his feet and out of the ring. The match continued with everyone coming in and out of the ring, taking each other out, only to get taken out too, and so on. It wasn’t until a tandem dive from Bey and Miguel that things slowed down a bit inside the ring.
We got our first big multiman spot with Bey hitting a German on Callihan on the ropes, as Callihan brought down Cardona with a superplex, only for Sabin and Miguel to dropkick Bey off the ropes. Moose came back and once again started to take everyone out until Bey and Miguel teamed up on him. At this point, Callihan introduced a chair into the match, but we got no disqualifications.
Callihan actually continued cheating in order to gain some momentum, but that was when the Good Brothers ran down, pulled out Callihan, and took him out, so serves him right.
Sabin got a great near fall after hitting cradle shock, but was stopped by Moose, who delivered a trifecta of lights out spears for the win. Good match with the exception of Callihan using chairs and low blows.
It will be Kenny Omega vs. Moose, who told the camera and Omega that he is coming to get back what is theirs. Impact could pull the trigger on a babyface Moose right now and it would be huge.
Two new matches have been added to Thursday’s Impact Wrestling.
NJPW’s Juice Robinson will face Doc Gallows in a singles match. Finjuice (Robinson and Dave Finlay), the current Impact Tag Team Champions, successfully retained their titles at Rebellion, defeating The Good Brothers (Gallows and Karl Anderson). Finlay, Robinson, and Eddie Edwards will face Kenny Omega, Gallows, and Anderson at Under Siege on May 15 following the end of the last episode of Impact Wrestling, where Omega and The Good Brothers laid out Edwards and Finjuice.
Rachael Ellering, meanwhile, will face Kiera Hogan. Ellering made her in-ring debut at Rebellion as Jordynne Grace’s tag team partner, replacing Jazz who was forced to retire last month. Together, they defeated Hogan and Tasha Steelz to win the Knockouts Tag Team titles.
Segmemts already announced for Impact include:
NJPW’s El Phantasmo debuts
Moose vs. James Storm in a number one contender qualifying match
Rhino vs. Chris Sabin in a number one contender qualifying match
Trey Miguel vs. Rohit Raju in a number on contender qualifying match
Impact has announced a Impact World Tag Team title match for next month’s Rebellion pay-per-view event.
The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows) will get their Sacrifice rematch, facing off against new champions David Finlay and Juice Robinson.
Good Brothers confronted FinJuice on tonight’s Impact, demanding a title match, saying they were not ready to defend the titles against them at Sacrifice last weekend. Finlay and Robinson said they were going back to Japan and wouldn’t be back until April. The two teams ended up brawling.
Backstage, Good Brothers complained to Scott D’Amore about the champions leaving to go back to New Japan Pro Wrestling. D’Amore then made the rematch for Rebellion on April 24.
The only other match announced for Rebellion thus far is also an interpromotional match. After unifying the Impact and TNA Heavyweight titles last weekend, Rich Swann will defend the unified title against AEW World Champion Kenny Omega in a title vs. title match.
Two new champions were crowned during tonight’s Impact Sacrifice event on Impact Plus.
A new X-Division champion was crowned, with Ace Austin defeating TJP to win the championship for the second time. He ended TJP’s third reign with the championship after 92 days. Austin defeated TJP after pinning him with a double stomp and The Fold.
FinJuice (David Finlay and Juice Robinson) defeated The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson) in the co-main event to win the Impact World Tag Team titles, with Juice coveiring Anderson following a doomsday device. FinJuice, who are signed to New Japan Pro Wrestling, are holding the titles for the first time. Anderson and Gallows had held the titles for 120 days, winning them from The North (Ethan Page and Josh Alexander) back on November 14.
Rich Swann in the main event unified the Impact and TNA Heavyweight titles, defeating Moose. He will move on to the Rebellion pay-per-view event on April 24, where he faces AEW World Champion Kenny Omega in a title vs. title match.
Tonight’s Impact Wrestling on AXS will feature the contract signing for the Good Brothers vs. FinJuice Tag Team title match on this Sunday’s Sacrifice special on Impact Plus.
In the preview video, the signing goes from laughs to clenched fists rather quickly. The two teams united last week in a win over XXXL and Reno Scum with a tag title match seemingly in the cards ever since David Finlay and Juice Robinson debuted.
Also on Tuesday’s show, former X-Division champions Ace Austin and Chris Bey will go one-on-one after current champion TJP tricked the two into a match as they were confronting him on last week’s show, and Rohit Raju will team with Shera to take on Beer Guns (Chris Sabin and James Storm).
On the BTI pre-show, the aforementioned TJP will battle Madman Fulton in a non-title match.
Our live coverage begins at 8 PM Eastern.

TJP defeated Madman Fulton (with Ace Austin) in the BTI match.
TJP won with the Mamba Splash. Austin and Fulton attacked him after the match.

Opening video recapped last week’s match where the Good Brothers and FinJuice teamed up to defeat XXXL and Reno Scum, that eventually led to dissension and the challenge made for a tag team title match at Sacrifice. Also featured, was the main event where Purrazzo defeated Grace and Hogan, only to be attacked by ODB.
Jazz (with Jordynne Grace) defeated Tasha Steelz (with Kiera Hogan)
The team of Jazz and Jordynne Grace will be challenging for the Knockouts tag team titles at Sacrifice. Last week, Hogan and Grace clashed in the 3-way that also included Deonn Purrazzo, this time around, it’s time for Jazz and Steelz.
Steelz started the match cocky, making fun of Jazz, so Jazz got in some offense in order to teach her a lesson. Steelz finally took Jazz seriously and cut her off. They went back and forward for a couple of minutes.
Jazz got a couple of near falls before locking in an STF for the submission win. This was really good once they started going back and forward.
– Gia Miller interviewed ODB about challenging for the Knockouts title at Sacrifice. ODB said she’d be a 5-time Knocked Up Champion soon. Susan confronted ODB and challenged her to a match. ODB was fantastic.
– D’lo Brown & Matt Striker ran down tonight’s card. D’Amore is set to make an announcement about the Swann vs Moose match at Sacrifice.
– Backstage, Trey Miguel saw Sam, one of his trainees, the one that was approached by Sami Callihan last week. Sam said that Callihan told him that if he showed up at Impact and challenged Miguel, he’d wimp out. Sam pushed Miguel’s buttons into accepting the match.
– We got a video package for Swann vs Moose, similar to last week’s, with Moose talking about going for Swann so he’ll be taken seriously, while Swann wanting to beat Moose, who is stronger and faster, but doesn’t want it as much as he does.
Beer Guns (James Storm & Chris Sabin) defeated Desi Hit Squad (Rohit Raju & Mahabali Shera)
These two teams have had a slight feud going for some weeks after Storm’s beer got spilled by Raju. Storm defeated Raju in last week’s episode of BTI, but ended with problems between Storm and Shera.
Story of the match was that Storm and Shera wanted each other, so even when Sabin and Storm had control over Raju, Storm threw it away to get Shera in. Storm was able to get the upper hand on Shera, but when he tagged in Sabin for the double team, Shera regained control and cut off Sabin.
Eventually, Storm got the hot tag and ran wild over Raju. After a couple of minutes, Raju managed to bring down Storm and get ready for the kill, but Shera, who was still hot, jumped in and interrupted Raju to attack Storm. Raju and Shera exchanged words, allowing Sabin and Storm to recover with Sabin hitting Cradle Shock for the win on Raju.
– Backstage, XXXL and Reno Scum discussed who lost last week’s match. Decay interrupted them. XXXL walked away because they didn’t want to deal with Rosemary, but Reno Scum was all in for a match with Decay at Sacrifice.
– Deaner was finally let out of his week-long punishment. James Storm and Chris Sabin approached them and called out EY for the things they were doing to Deaner. Violent By Design attacked Beer Guns and left them laying.
– Brian Myers confronted D’Amore and tried to get Eddie Edwards terminated if he wanted to avoid a lawsuit. D’Amore said that he and Edwards can settle things at Sacrifice in a No Rules match.
– Prior to the match, Sami Callihan came out to cut a promo and call Miguel a quitter, saying the only good thing Miguel has ever done is train Callihan’s new protege.
Trey Miguel defeated Sam Beale
Last week, we saw Callihan go to Trey Miguel’s gym, attack the trainers and trainees there, cause some mayhem, and try to recruit one of Miguel’s guys, Sam Beale
Match lasted one minute when Miguel locked in Beale in a submission and tapped him out.
After the match, Callihan dropped Beale with a package piledriver and used his magic hacking skills to disappear.
– Sabin and Storm cut a promo to EY, asking whatever happened to him. They’ve known EY for 20 years and don’t know where he went wrong. Storm said that at Sacrifice, they’re coming for Violent By Design. Jake Something walked up to them and offered his help to neutralize EY while Beer Guns worked the match.
– We got our weekly AEW commercial with Tony Khan and Tony Schiavone. They said they had a big buyrate at Revolution, they talked about some of the results from Revolution, and even referenced that Omega is terrible at building exploding rings and Eddie Kingston’s actions at the end of the pay per view.
– Good Brothers and FinJuice sat down with D’Amore for the contract signing. D’Amore couldn’t get them to sign because they were challenging each other to drink some shots. D’Amore eventually left and told them to sign the contract and get it back to him. They just kept drinking shot after shot after shot before finally signing the contract. Last shot ended all over the Good Brother’s face before they started brawling all over D’Amore’s conference room.
Chris Bey defeated Ace Austin (with Madman Fulton)
Ace Austin and Chris Bey were both in the #1 contendership 3-way match along with Black Taurus, the match that was won by Austin after Fulton helped him take out Bey. Chris Bey wants revenge on Austin, and after being tricked by TJP, this match came about.
The match was fantastic. It started with a good series of reversals and chain wrestling.
The match then turned into a more aerial match, with Austin gaining control of the match after a couple of kicks and dives on Bey.
Bey made a comeback and the match proceeded with both men going back and forward, some amazing sequences of counters and dodges. At one point, both men fought on top of the turnbuckles, ending with both men spilling to the floor after Austin failed to hit a double underhook superplex.
There were a couple of great near falls, a big one when Austin blocked the art of finesse, only to get hit with the Verta-bey-ker for a near fall.
At the end, Austin was hurt and had to hide behind Fulton and allowed Austin to attack Bey. TJP came out and made sure to lure Fulton to the back, but with the distraction, Bey recovered and hit the art of finesse for the win. Great match.
At this point, Bey may get added to Austin vs TJP.
– Over at Swinger’s Paradise, Josh Alexander confronted TJP for not taking Austin seriously. Cocky TJP said that he beat Alexander, and so he’ll beat Austin too. Alexander told him he’ll be coming after him if he retains.
– Rohit Raju confronted Shera for costing him his second match. Shera attacked Raju and told him he didn’t owe him anything.
ODB defeated Susie
Purrazzo, Kimber Lee, and Susan have been feuding with Jordynne Grace, Jazz, and ODB for some weeks. ODB pinned Susan when both teams met in a 6-woman tag match, and so Susan wanted to get some revenge on ODB.
Match was a squash, ODB beat on Susan from bell to bell, hitting all her signature moves. Susan’s only hope spot came after poking ODB’s eyes, but the advantage didn’t last long. Match ended when Susan threw out all of ODB’s alcohol, ODB got angry, and finished off Susan for the win.
After the match, Purrazzo and Lee came out and attacked ODB until Grace and Jazz made the save. Hogan and Steelz joined the brawl and attacked Grace and Jazz, who they’ll be wrestling at Sacrifice. Heels dominated the ring afterwards. This was good for what it was.
Brown and Striker ran down the Sacrifice card, including the newly added matches of Edwards vs Myers, VBD vs Beer Guns, Decay vs Reno Scum, and Dashwood and Kaleb vs Havok and Nevaeh.
– It was time for D’Amore’s announcement. Moose came out to the ring to hear the announcement and called out D’Amore, who came out and brought out Rich Swann to give the announcement to both men.
D’Amore announced that the main event of Sacrifice will be a title vs title world title unification match. D’Amore also added that whoever wins as the World champion, will be defending at Rebellion against Kenny Omega, in an Impact Championship vs AEW Championship, winner takes all match.
Afterwards, we saw Don Callis talk with Omega, telling him that things are going according to plan.
Impact Wrestling has announced that the Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows) and FinJuice (David Finlay & Juice Robinson) will take part in a contract signing on Tuesday’s episode of Impact. The Good Brothers are defending their Impact Tag Team titles against Robinson & Finlay at Sacrifice.
Sacrifice is airing on Impact Plus on Saturday, March 13.
At February’s No Surrender Impact Plus special, it was revealed that NJPW’s Finlay & Robinson were coming to Impact Wrestling. They defeated Reno Scum (Luster the Legend & Adam Thornstowe) in their debut and were then confronted by Anderson & Gallows after the match.
The Good Brothers & FinJuice defeated Reno Scum & Team XXXL (Acey Romero & Larry D) in an eight-man tag match on this week’s Impact. The Good Brothers and FinJuice argued throughout the match and after it was over and tried to show each other up.
The Good Brothers have been Impact Tag Team Champions since November of last year. They retained their titles against James Storm & Chris Sabin and AEW’s Private Party (Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy) in a triple threat match at No Surrender last month.
Here’s the updated lineup for Tuesday’s Impact:
Good Brothers and FinJuice Sacrifice Tag Team title match contract signing
Chris Bey vs. Ace Austin
James Storm & Chris Sabin vs. Mahabali Shera & Rohit Raju
Three title matches were announced Tuesday for March 13th’s Sacrifice on Impact Plus.
A match for the Tag Team titles was announced as The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson) will defend against New Japan Pro Wrestling’s David Finlay and Juice Robinson, aka FinJuice.
The two teams have traded exchanges in the last few weeks. On this week’s Impact, the two teams defeated XXXL (Larry D and Acey Romero) and Reno Scum (Luster The Legend and Adam Thornstowe) in an eight-man tag. The winners all had a staredown afterward.
The X-Division title will be on the line as TJP will defend against former champion Ace Austin. Austin defeated Black Taurus and Chris Bey in a number one contenders three way Tuesday. Austin later confronted TJP backstage, which then led to Chris Bey appearing and challenging Austin for a match on next week’s Impact.
Finally, ODB will challenge Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo. Tuesday’s show ended with ODB attacking the champion for her attack on ODB backstage last week. The Impact veteran made it clear as the show was going off the air that she wanted a title match.
Here is the current card for Sacrifice:
Impact World Champion Rich Swann vs. TNA Champion Moose
Knockouts Tag Team Champions Fire ‘N Flava vs. Jordynne Grace and Jazz
Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo vs. ODB
Impact Tag Team Champions Good Brothers vs. David Finlay and Juice Robinson
The Good Brothers will team up with FinJuice on tonight’s Impact Wrestling in what is expected to be a preview of a future Impact Tag Team title match.
They will face XXXL and Reno Scum in an eight-man tag that will headline the show. While things have been jovial between the new arrivals from New Japan Pro Wrestling (David Finlay and Juice Robinson) and the champions (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson) thus far, the writing is on the wall for a title challenge at either this month’s Sacrifice or April’s Rebellion pay-per-view.
In another high profile match, the winner of Chris Bey vs. Black Taurus vs. Ace Austin will earn a future shot against X-Division champion TJP.
The show will also feature Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo against former champion Jordynne Grace in a non-title match, and Eddie Edwards vs. Brian Myers with friend and former partner Matt Cardona as special guest referee.
Former X-Division Champion Rohit Raju (w/ Shera) will face James Storm (w/ Chris Sabin) on the BTI pre-show.
Our live coverage starts at 8 PM Eastern.

James Storm (with Chris Sabin) defeated Rohit Raju (with Mahabali Shera) in the BTI Match
* * * * * * * * * *
Opening video showcased the ongoing meetings between FinJuice and the Good Brothers, who are teaming up to night, as they face off with XXXL and Reno Scum. Also, last week’s main event where Moose defeated Jake Something for the newly reinstated TNA World Championship.
Ace Austin (with Madman Fulton) defeated Black Taurus & Chris Bey in an X Division #1 Contendership Match
These three participants teamed up last week against Trey Miguel, Josh Alexander, and Willie Mack, who they defeated to advance to this triple threat, where the winner becomes the #1 contender to TJP’s X Division.
Match saw both Bey and Austin team up against Taurus, who had to take on both of them. Austin and Bey actually managed pretty well as a team until they took out Taurus with a tandem dive.
With Taurus out, Bey and Austin finally went at it between them, they did some great chain wrestling and a short sequence of reversals. Bey was barely taking control when Taurus recovered and came back to the match. He took turns wrestling Austin, and then Bey for a couple of minutes each. At one point, Taurus caught Bey’s plancha and turned it into a suplex, that had extra power after a missile dropkick from Austin to both.
Finish saw Austin and Bey take out Taurus again, and just as Bey was about to finish Austin, Fulton held his foot, allowing Austin to hit the fold for the win. Good match, Taurus looked really dominant.
Ace Austin vs TJP for the X Division title is set for Sacrifice.
– Gia Miller interviewed Jazz and Jordynne Grace for becoming #1 contenders to the tag team titles. They were talking about ODB’s attack last week when Fire ‘n Flava approached them and told them to focus on them, not ODB. Grace said that she’d talk D’Amore to invite Hogan to her match tonight with Purrazzo.
– Backstage, Myers found Cardona training and tried to talk nice to him since Cardona is the referee in Myers’ match with Eddie Edwards tonight. Cardona told him that he’d call it down the middle.
– D’lo Brown & Matt Striker ran down tonight’s card, including the newly signed Hogan vs Grace vs Purrazzo.
Tenille Dashwood (with Kaleb with a K) defeated Havok
This match was booked during BTI after Dashwood had been messing around with Havok and Nevaeh for some weeks, taking advantage of their small dissension after going on a losing streak.
Match saw Havok dominate early on, she blocked everything that Dashwood tried on her and turned it into a power move of her own. Eventually, Kaleb aided Dashwood, allowing her to get her with an elbow to the back of the head that rocked her and with that, Dashwood cut her off.
After some minutes of Dashwood working over Havok’s neck, Havok finally got Dashwood off her, and got some offense in. When she was ready to finish off Dashwood, Kaleb distracted her again, giving Dashwood the opening to hit the spotlight for the win.
After the match, Nevaeh came down and saved Havok from Kaleb and Dashwood. Nevaeh took out Kaleb with her DDT. Nevaeh looked good as the babyface making the save.
– We got a promo from Sami Callihan, broadcasting from the Skulls and Bones School, where Trey Miguel trains. He talked trash about Miguel, beat up some of the staff and trainees, and trashed the place. Callihan tried to recruit some of Miguel’s students before leaving. Really good angle if not for the annoying ‘hacker’ production in Callihan’s promos.
– TJP was hanging out in Swinger’s Paradise when Ace Austin confronted him and told him to not bet against him. Chris Bey came in and accused Austin of winning only because Fulton interfered, and so TJP tricked them into a match between them. And here I was hoping for a Bey and Austin tag team.
– We got a promo with Violent By Design where EY said he’d be punishing Deaner for failing to take out Jake Something in the tables match that HE had asked for. Behind a wall, Joe Doering beat up Deaner, who had to drag himself out. Deaner gracefully accepted his punishment.
– We got our weekly AEW commercial with Tony Khan and Tony Schiavone, promoting Dynamite and Revolution. Khan actually put Impact over a bit saying that they, Impact, and NJPW are all in the same team, but AEW is now calling the shots. Khan hyped up Shaq and Paul Wight’s debuts.
– Moose cut a promo, talking about how he has held the TNA World Championship for months, and defended the title, even if no one considered it a real championship. And so he had nothing against Swann, but he had the recognized Impact World Championship, and so he had to beat him to make it clear that he was the real champion. Great promo.
The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows) & FinJuice (Juice Robinson & David Finlay) defeated XXXL (Acey Romero & Larry D) & Reno Scum (Luster The Legend & Adam Thornstowe)
Ever since FunJuice debuted, them and the Good Brothers have been teasing each other, not in a hostile way, but Anderson and Gallows keep trying to make fun of them for being young boys in Japan when they were there. In return, Robinson and Finlay make fun of them for being bad drinkers. In the last weeks, FinJuice defeated Reno Scum, while Anderson and Gallows defeated XXXL.
Match saw FinJuice and the Good Brothers dominate early on with a couple of hard tags between them, they’re showing off to each other and trying to one up each other. They were so focused on each other, that they allowed Reno Scum to cut off Finlay and separate him for a couple of minutes. XXXL and Reno Scum didn’t get much heat before Finlay escaped and once again, Robinson and the Good Brothers kept racing each other to take the tag and actually take the pin, which ended up being Gallows, who hit Magic Killer along with Anderson for the win on Thornstowe. This was 100% a squash.
After the match, FinJuice and the Good Brothers had a staredown as they argued who won the match. These two teams are ready to collide.
– We got a video package with Rich Swann, talking about Moose, who is a fake world champion, walking around with a dead title. He knew that Moose was stronger and faster, but he didn’t have Swann’s fire and determination.
– Backstage, the Good Brothers and FinJuice argued that they also lost the match because of Anderson and Gallows. Anderson said they should go back to carrying their bags, so Finlay replied that it’s the tag team titles that they’ll be carrying in. Gallows made the challenge to make it happen at Sacrifice.
Eddie Edwards defeated Brian Myers via DQ
Edwards and Myers have been feuding for a couple of weeks now after Myers started calling Edwards unprofessional. For several weeks now too, Myers has claimed to have an eye injury because of Edwards and Cardona, which he has used as a crutch to get away from facing Edwards in a singles match. Tonight, we have that singles match with Matt Cardona as the special guest referee.
Story of the match was that Cardona called the match right in the middle and it was annoying Myers. At the end, Myers loaded up his elbow pad and hit the roster cut lariat for the pin, but Cardona saw him cheat and DQ’d him.
As for the match, Edwards had a strong start, later cut off by Myers. Myers worked on Edwards for a couple of minutes until the latter made a comeback. They started chasing their finishers, trading a couple of good near falls, right before the finish. Really nothing match, had a lot of potential, but they didn’t really do much with the story, not got enough time for it.
I was expecting for a finish that could cause dissension between Cardona and Edwards, but they went for the straight DQ and good referring.
– Brown and Striker ran down the Sacrifice card, with Moose vs Swann, Good Brothers vs FinJuice, Ace Austin vs TJP; also for next week, Chris Bey vs Ace Austin, and Desi Hit Squad vs Beer Guns.
Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo (with Kimber Lee & Susan) defeated Jordynne Grace (with Jazz) and Knockouts Tag Team Champion Kiera Hogan (with Tasha Steelz) in a non-title 3-way match.
Grace and Jazz are the #1 contenders to Fire ‘n Flava’s titles, they won the spot by defeating Kimber Lee and Susan. After that match, they found their friend ODB taken out backstage, and their immediate suspicion went to Purrazzo. Grace had originally challenged Purrazzo for tonight, but after a confrontation with Fire ‘n Flava earlier in the show, Grace asked for Hogan to be added to the match and make it a 3-way.
Similar to the opener, the two heels teamed up against Grace, who is the only babyface and currently feuding with both parties separately. In this match however, the heels quickly broke up their truce and fought each other.
The match was a good clash of Hogan’s speed, Grace’s power, and Purrazzo’s technical proficiency, especially because all three women were in the ring together for most of the match, there were barely any one-on-one parts to the match. At one point, all three got into a 3-way striking exchange, right before the brawl broke out with the seconds, with Grace taking them all out with a big plancha.
Throughout the match, we mostly got near falls with Purrazzo chasing the Fujiwara armbar from all corners, but at the end, it was Purrazzo stealing the win with a roll up on Grace after the latter failed to hit the Vader Bomb on Hogan because Steelz had pulled her off. This was a fantastic match.
After the match, Grace and Jazz brawled with Fire ‘n Flava to the back, but in the ring, ODB came down and took out Purrazzo and made her intentions clear that she wanted a match for the title.
MJF and Chris Jericho won tonight’s tag team battle royal, setting them up for an AEW Tag Team title match at Revolution.
Chris Jericho was the last man standing in the battle royal, eliminating Darius Martin of Top Flight to win. The last three men in the ring were Jericho, Sammy Guevara, and Martin. Jericho inadvertently eliminated Guevara, who was on the apron, after Jericho tried to eliminate Martin.
Jericho and MJF will face The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team titles at Revolution, which takes place on March 7. The champions were also in the battle royal. They were eliminated when The Good Brothers, who were at ringside, helped Nick Jackson eliminate Isiah Cassidy of Private Party. Jackson argued with The Good Brothers, with the distraction leading him to be eliminated by MJF.
The only other match announced for the Revolution thus far is a street fight tag team match, with Sting and Darby Allin teaming up to take on Ricky Starks and Brian Cage of Team Taz.
Jon Moxley teams with Death Triangle’s PAC and Rey Fenix against World Champion Kenny Omega and Impact Wrestling’s The Good Brothers on tonight’s Beach Break episode of AEW Dynamite.
Omega and The Good Brothers attacked Fenix’s brother Penta El Zero Miedo on the January 20 Dynamite, while Moxley, Penta and Fenix attacked Gallows, Anderson and Omega on the January 13 episode to set up tonight’s main event.
The wedding of Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford will be held tonight. “The Best Man” Miro and his butler Charles Taylor will be in attendance.
A tag team battle royal will be held to determine the number one contenders for the AEW World Tag Team titles, currently held by The Young Bucks. The Bucks will participate in the battle royal and will choose their challengers should they win. Chris Jericho & MJF, Santana & Ortiz, Sammy Guevara & Jake Hager, Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus, Private Party, John Silver & Alex Reynolds, Evil Uno & Stu Grayson, The Acclaimed and Top Flight round out the field.
Britt Baker vs. Thunder Rosa in a match that was originally set for New Year’s Smash will also take place tonight. Matt Hardy and Hangman Page will team up against Luther and Serpentico. Lance Archer vs. Eddie Kingston in a lumberjack match is also scheduled.
Our live coverage begins at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

A promo from Sammy Hagar played before the match, cheering on Jake Hager & Sammy Guevara.
MJF & Chris Jericho won the AEW World Tag Team Championship Challenger Battle Royale
There were ten teams in the match, and both members needed to be eliminated. FTR was removed from the match as a result of their post-match attack on Luchasaurus last week. They were replaced by John Silver & Alex Reynolds.
The Young Bucks were the last to make their entrances, and they dove on everyone ahead of the match. They dispatched a series of teams with spears and superkicks before the battle royale officially started, and Isiah Kassidy missed a big dive.
Daunte Martin was eliminated by Private Party. Jake Hager eliminated Alex Reynolds. Stu Grayson stayed in with a great show of strength, and Silver eliminated Hager. Matt Jackson was backdropped onto the ramp and eliminated early on.
Chris Jericho & MJF eliminated Anthony Bowens. Luchasaurus got a showcase spot where he knocked down half the field with strikes. Grayson tried to suplex Luchasaurus over the top, but Luchasaurus suplexed him onto Bowens before being eliminated by the Dark Order.
MJF tossed out Evil Uno. Darius Martin blocked Private Party’s Silly STring and eliminated Quen. Silver suplexed both of Santana and Ortiz, but he celebrated and the team eliminated him. Nick Jackson ran wild on Santana and Ortiz and tossed out Santana before eliminating Ortiz with a superkick.
Kassidy and Nick Jackson had an exchange, but Gallows and Anderson appeared and eliminated Kassidy by pulling down the ropes. Nick exchanged words with the Good Brothers, and MJF took advantage and dumped Nick.
Jericho, MJF, Guevara, Jungle Boy, Darius, and Max Caster were the final six. Each Inner Circle member wrestled one-on-one with one of the other three. The Inner Circle worked together to try to eliminate Jungle Boy, but the other two wrestlers broke it up. MJF then eliminated Jungle Boy.
MJF and Guevara faced off, but Caster attacked them both. Caster held MJF up for an attack from Guevara, but MJF avoided the superkick. Caster then eliminated MJF, and Darius eliminated Caster.
The final three were Jericho, Guevara, and Darius. Le Sex Gods worked together against Darius, but Darius downed them with a double DDT. Darius nearly eliminated Guevara, but Jericho tried to eliminate Darius, inadvertently dumping Guevara.
Darius downed Jericho with a dropkick but was sent to the apron and eliminated with the Judas Effect. Jericho and MJF are the #1 contenders.

Tony Schiavone brought out Darby Allin and then Sting for an interview. Next week, Allin will defend the TNT Championship against Joey Janela.
Team Taz interrupted. They’ve been barred from the building due to their actions from last week. Taz said they’d be watching Allin’s match closely next week.
Starks said that Sting’s not the same guy from the past or the “icon” they call Sting. He said Sting would get hurt playing in the jungle, and wished Allin good luck, because he’d need it.
Sting said that he’d be with Allin next week to make sure it’s just a one-on-one match. If Starks doesn’t see the “icon” in Sting’s eyes anymore, maybe he needs to take a closer look.

Ahead of the match, a video package played recapping Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker’s feud.
Dr. Britt Baker. D.M.D. (w/ Rebel) defeated Thunder Rosa
This was a great match, probably Baker’s best performance yet, before the rather underwhelming finish.
Rosa attacked Rebel before the bell, but Baker immediately went for the Lockjaw. Rosa rolled out of it and landed a short dropkick. She followed it up by laying in corner strikes on Baker, who turned it around with some chain wrestling.
A flipping senton from Rosa got two, so Rosa kept up the offense. Baker moved out of the way of a corner attack and landed a pump kick. She maintained control on the floor and taunted Rosa, but Rosa drove Baker into the apron and the barricade leading to a commercial break.
Baker regained control during the break when Rosa went into the ring to break the count. They battled on the ramp, where Rosa hit a Death Valley Driver. Back in the ring, Rosa landed a jumping clothesline, double knees, and a corner dropkick for two.
Rosa went for her finish but Baker rolled out of it and hit a Sling Blade and a thrust kick for two. Rosa hit a series of kicks, but Baker fought out of piledriver attempts and hit an Air Raid Crash for two.
Baker put on the glove and went for the Lockjaw, but Rosa reached the ropes. Baker hit the Rollins stomp and cradled Rosa into the Lockjaw. Rosa tried to cradle out of it, but Baker kept it applied for a while before Rosa finally reached her feet and suplexed her way out of it.
Rosa hit another Death Valley Driver for a close near fall. She then applied an omoplata, while Rebel pulled off a turnbuckle pad. Rosa let go of the hold to chase off Rebel, and Baker avoided a corner attack, sending Rosa face first into the turnbuckle. Baker then applied the Lockjaw, leading to the referee stoppage.

Last week, Matt Hardy and Hangman Page were interviewed by Tony Schiavone in Hardy’s dressing room. Hardy said that they’d have great chemistry, but Page didn’t want any partnership or contract. Hardy said that he had no ulterior motives, and so he proposed that they team up against Chaos Project to get revenge for them interrupting -1’s birthday party.
Hangman Page & Matt Hardy vs. Chaos Project (Luther & Serpentico)
Hardy dominated Serpentico early on before tagging in Page, who hit the running Shooting Star Press for two. Hardy hit the Side Effect but Luther blind tagged his way in and beat down Hardy with strikes.
Luther used his partner as a weapon against Hardy. Serpentico missed a Swanton bomb and Hardy reached Page for the hot tag. Page ran wild with a fallaway slam and a plancha, concluding it with a spinebuster on Serpentico for two.
Page wanted the Buckshot Lariat but Luther pulled him off the apron, where Luther whiffed on a running cannonball. Page then hit the Buckshot on Serpentico, but Hardy tagged himself in and got the pinfall.
Hardy wanted a high five after the match, but Page was perplexed.

Chris Jericho and MJF were interviewed by Alex Marvez about being the #1 contenders. MJF called him “Mark-vez” and joined the Inner circle in their locker room. Guevara said that only Jericho & MJF were the contenders, as everyone else lost. Jericho called them “collateral damage,” and Guevara wondered why it was always everyone else who was “collateral damage.”
MJF said it was time to have a conversation, and Wardlow sent the cameraman packing and shut the door.

Kip Sabian, Miro, & Charles Taylor were interviewed by Tony Schiavone. Sabian said that Tony was lucky to be there, and Vickie Guerrero arrived and said “it’s time.”
Kip Sabian & Penelope Ford’s Wedding
There was a lovely little setup in the ring. Guerrero escorted Sabian to the ring, flanked by his wedding party. Ford was escorted by Jerry Lynn. Schiavone got emotional on commentary.
Father James Mitchell was the presiding official. He called it “unholy matrimony” and asked the bride and groom to share their vows.
Sabian objectified his bride, in a weirdly sweet way. “You are beautiful on the inside, and damn, you are hot on the outside.” Ford started by saying “You have the biggest…” but Sabian cut her off, because he knows how much she wants to spend her life with him.
After presenting the ring, and Father James went through an absurd tirade about “groping” and “kayfabe,” they both said “I do.” He was about to ask if anyone objects, but Miro said he’d been there a few times and asked to move on. Father James then pronounced them man and wife.
The newlyweds made out, tongue and all, before Miro began a toast. He demanded that Charles bring everyone champagne. Miro said that he, himself, is Sabian’s wedding present before asking who brought this giant present in the back. Charles said it was from him, so Miro attacked it and tossed it out of the ring.
The crowd started chanting “What Is Love?” and Miro played along before saying it was time for cake. He looked down and noticed that he had been shackled to the bottom ropes, and Charles shoved Sabian, who in turn knocked Ford face-first into the cake. Sabian tried to attack Charles but ended up hitting Miro.
Ford jumped on Charles’ back and allowed Sabian to attack him, but Orange Cassidy popped out of the cake table. Charles used the distraction to attack with a wine cooler, and Cassidy hit the Beach Break on Sabian.
Weirdly, the show went to picture and picture next, but as far as I could tell, nothing of note really happened.

A recap of Shaquille O’Neal accepting the challenge with the Inside the NBA TNT crew played. Shaq was really funny, saying his finisher was called the “black tornado,” which was essentially a spinning back elbow like he used to do in the post as a player. The match, Shaq & Jade Cargill vs. Cody Rhodes & Red Velvet, was announced for the March 3 episode of Dynamite.

Lance Archer (w/ Jake Roberts) defeated Eddie Kingston in a lumberjack match
This was a chaotic spectacle that didn’t really come together for me.
Archer was a house of fire, tossing Kingston right away, but Kingston made his way back into the ring before anyone could attack. Butcher and Blade tripped Archer and beat him down, but Archer fought them off. He tried to chokeslam Peter Avalon, one of the lumberjacks, but Avalon escaped and Archer went headfirst into the ring post.
Kingston was sent outside next, but Billy Gunn sent him back in the ring immediately, but Kingston still went after Butcher and Blade on the outside. A brawl ensued, which Archer dove onto leading into a commercial break, where Kingston took control.
Archer hit a full nelson bomb and landed some running offense. Bunny ran in the ring and hopped on Archer’s back. Archer was going to hit her with the Blackout, but Kingston cut it off with a spinning backfist.
Jake Roberts attacked Angélico for some reason and a shot from Butcher allowed Kingston to hit an exploder suplex for two. Blade set up a table, but Bear Bronson of Bear Country ran in and speared him through it, as they evened the odds for Archer.
Archer hit a big uranage for two. Kingston went to the top rope, but Archer cut him off and hit Blackout for the win.

Kenny Omega & The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows) defeated Jon Moxley, PAC, & Rey Fénix
This match was a fantastic six-man tag, exactly as advertised. Fénix was the star.
PAC and Anderson traded forearms right away. A hurricanrana frustrated Anderson, so he tagged in Gallows. Moxley tagged in and went right after Gallows with forearms, but Gallows downed him with a right hand. Moxley avoided a sit-down splash and hit the Regal Knee, but Gallows kicked out right away.
Anderson and Fénix tagged in as Death Triangle worked over the former. With the official distracted, Omega grabbed the leg of PAC and Gallows slammed him off the top rope. The heels isolated PAC until he hit a snap German on Omega and reached Moxley for a tag.
Moxley hit a release suplex on Anderson for two and followed it up with a plancha on Gallows. He sent Anderson to the floor and landed a tope suicida on the Good Brothers before sending Omega into the barricade.
During the commercial break, Moxley was met with a Gun Stun upon re-entry to the ring, allowing Omega and the Good Brothers to take control. A mule kick and evasive maneuvers allowed Moxley to reach Fénix for the hot tag.
Fénix spiked Omega with a hurricanrana and dispatched Gallows with kicks before landing a springboard headbutt on Anderson. He and PAC hit stereo Orihara moonsaults onto the Good Brothers before Fénix landed a cutter on Omega for two.
Omega fought out of the Fire Thunder Driver and the two traded chops. Omega sent Fénix off the top rope and crushed him with a draping snap dragon suplex. Gallows tagged in and hit a big boot for two. PAC tagged in and peppered Gallows with strikes, but Gallows kicked out at one.
PAC ran face first into a Gallows thrust kick and the heels beat down PAC, concluding with a triple neckbreaker. Moxley broke up the pinfall and Omega flattened PAC with a Liger bomb for two. Omega hit a V-Trigger and went for the One-Winged Angel, but PAC fought out and his teammates made the save, concluding with a PAC German suplex bridge for two.
Moxley tagged in and went for the Bulldog Choke, but Good Brothers ran interference. Moxley and Omega had an exchange where Omega hit the V-Trigger, but Moxley sprung up with a huge lariat. Fénix dispatched both Good Brothers with an absurd tope con hilo.
Omega hit his own Paradigm Shift, but PAC broke up the pin attempt with a 450 splash. Anderson tagged in and went for the Gun Stun, but Moxley hit a Gun Stun of his own. Fénix tagged in and hit a springboard moonsault press for two. Anderson caught the follow-up and hit a spinebuster.
The Good brothers hit the Magic Killer on Fénix as Omega sent PAC packing with a V-Trigger for the win.
The two teams brawled after the match, but Lance Archer ran out and sent the Good Brothers packing. It was just Moxley and Omega in the ring, but a masked man ran in and laid out Moxley. It was NJPW’s KENTA, who holds the rights to challenge for Moxley’s IWGP United States Championship – and is a member of the current Bullet Club. He finished Moxley with the Go To Sleep to end the show.
