Mercedes Mone celebrates 12th title: ‘The best to ever do it’

After adding yet another belt to her collection, Mercedes Mone took a moment to celebrate the win on social media.

Mone had a very busy weekend, competing three different times in three different countries. It started off for CMLL in Mexico on Friday with a win against Persephone. On Saturday, Mone was back in the United States for a victory over Mina Shirakawa at WrestleDream. She then capped things off on Sunday by defeating Jody Threat for Winnipeg Pro Wrestling in Canada.

The latter two matches saw Mone win new gold: the interim ROH Women’s TV Championship and the Winnipeg Pro Women’s Championship. She is now in possession of 12 title belts. To celebrate that, Mone posted a video of all her gold.

“The best to ever do it!,” she wrote. “12 belts MONÉ”

The video — which shows Mone counting her money and laughing — serves to troll fans upset over her current belt collector gimmick. She has trademarked the phrase “Ultimo Mone,” playing off when Ultimo Dragon held a large number of Junior Heavyweight titles in the 1990s.

Mone’s belt collection is headlined by the AEW TBS Championship and CMLL Women’s World Championship and also includes belts from several international indie promotions:

  • AEW TBS Championship
  • AEW Owen Hart Cup Championship (ceremonial)
  • Interim ROH Women’s TV Championship
  • CMLL Women’s World Championship
  • RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship
  • Queen of Southside Championship (inactive, unified with RevPro title)
  • EWA Women’s Championship (Austria)
  • Bestya Wrestling Women’s Championship (Italy)
  • Prime Time Wrestling Women’s Championship (Poland)
  • Discovery Wrestling Women’s Championship (Scotland)
  • Bodyslam Women’s Champion (Denmark)
  • Winnipeg Pro Women’s Championship (Canada)

So far, the AEW Women’s World Championship is one belt that has eluded Mone. She has challenged Kris Statlander to a match for the title at AEW Full Gear next month.

Mercedes Mone wins 12th title belt in Canada

The belts keep coming for Mercedes Mone.

On Sunday, Mone defeated Jody Threat to capture the Winnipeg Professional Wrestling Women’s Championship. With the win, Mone is now holding twelve titles simultaneously, surpassing Ultimo Dragon’s ten titles. Mone’s win comes one day after she defeated Mina Shirakawa to win the interim ROH Women’s Television Championship at AEW WrestleDream, her eleventh title.

Mone has no plans of slowing down, either. After she won her eleventh title at WrestleDream, she was confronted by Kris Statlander, who she had dissed earlier in the night. Later in the night, she issued the challenge for Full Gear, making it clear she wanted the AEW Women’s Championship added to her collection.

The full list of titles Mone has won includes AEW’s TBS title, interim ROH Women’s TV title, CMLL Women’s title, BODYSLAM Women’s title, Discovery Wrestling Women’s title, EWA Women’s title, RevPro Undisputed British/Queen of Southside Women’s title, Prime Time Wrestling Women’s title, BestYa Women’s title, WPW Women’s title, and the AEW Owen Hart women’s tournament winner title.

World title challenge issued for AEW Full Gear

After being embarrassed by AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander at WrestleDream, TBS Champion Mercedes Mone has issued a title challenge to Statlander for November’s Full Gear pay-per-view.

After Statlander was celebrating her title defense over Toni Storm Saturday, Mone interrupted her moment and told her to get out of her ring. Statlander acquiesced, but returned after Mone won her record 11th simultaneous title to gain a measure of revenge, laying Mone out and sending her packing.

Later in the night, Mone issues the challenge in a backstage promo. Statlander has yet to answer as of this writing.

Once official, it would be their third singles meeting. They have twice squared off for the TBS title during Mone’s record run, once at last year’s Full Gear and again at Worlds End. In both cases, Mone picked up the win.

Mone unsuccessfully challenged then-Women’s World Champion Storm at this past July’s All In Texas.

Mone will look to add to her record with a 12th title on Sunday at a Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, indie show against Jody Threat.

Full Gear is set for Newark, New Jersey, on Saturday, November 22.

Mercedes Mone now has a record eleven simultaneous title reigns following the events of AEW WrestleDream.

In an open challenge for her TBS title at the pay-per-view, interim Ring of Honor Women’s TV Champion Mina Shirakawa came out to challenge Mone but had to put up her belt in order to do so.

Shirakawa held her own, but Mone eventually picked up the victory and her 11th simultaneous championship by pinning Shirakawa with one of her feet on the ropes. The win breaks Ultimo Dragon’s record of ten concurrent title reigns that lasted from December 29, 1996, to January 4, 1997.

The win extends Mone’s 511-day streak at TBS Champion and ends Shirakawa’s somewhat abbreviated reign that saw just one defense due to an injury suffered at July’s All In: Texas. Red Velvet holds the traditional TV title, but has been out of action for months due to injury.

Mone now holds the TBS, interim ROH Women’s TV title, CMLL Women’s title, BODYSLAM Women’s title, Discovery Wrestling Women’s title, EWA Women’s title, RevPro Undisputed British/Queen of Southside Women’s title, Prime Time Wrestling Women’s title, BestYa Women’s title, and the AEW Owen Hart women’s tournament winner title.

She will go for number 12 on Sunday as she challenges Jody Threat for the Winnipeg Pro Wrestling women’s title.

Mercedes Mone issues TBS title open challenge for AEW WrestleDream

Mercedes Mone is issuing an open challenge.

After retaining the CMLL Women’s Championship against Persephone at Arena Mexico on Friday night, Mone took to the microphone to issue an open challenge for AEW WrestleDream, challenging any champion in the world to face her for the TBS Championship.

Following her proclamation, she also accepted a challenge from Olympia for a future match for the CMLL Women’s Championship. However, Mone said it would take place in the United States and not in Mexico.

Mone had been coy about her plans for WrestleDream before Friday. During AEW Dynamite, she said she would be at WrestleDream, though wouldn’t specify what exactly she’d be doing in St. Louis.

Mercedes Mone files for new trademark

AEW’s TBS Champion has filed for a new trademark.

Mercedes Mone’s company Soulnado, Inc. has filed for a new trademark relating to merchandising. The term in the filing is “Ultimo Mone,” a play on the comparisons between Mone currently holding ten championships in wrestling, as Ultimo Dragon did in the mid 1990s.

Mone claimed her tenth title last Saturday on an indie show in Denmark with a victory over Aliss Ink for the BODYSLAM Women’s Championship.

An attorney representing Soulnado filed for the mark on Tuesday. The filing lists the potential uses:

Shirts and short-sleeved shirts; Shirts; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts; Hats; Bandanas

Mercedes Mone wins 10th title in Denmark

Ten Belts Mone is official.

The AEW star appeared at Friday’s Bodyslam event in Denark, defeating Aliss Ink to win the Bodyslam Women’s Championship, officially earning her tenth title. With this achievement, Mone has officially tied Ultimo Dragon for holding the most championships simultaneously.

Mone’s most prolific championship may be the TBS Championship she holds in AEW. She won that title back at Double or Nothing in May 2024, kickstarting her belt collector run. She most recently retained that title on this week’s AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday, defeating Lacey Lane.

The list of championships Mone currently holds includes:

  • AEW’s TBS Championship
  • RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship (includes Queen of Southside title belt)
  • Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament winner
  • CMLL Women’s Championship
  • EWA Women’s Championship
  • Prime Time Wrestling Women’s Championship
  • BestYa Women’s Championship
  • Discovery Wrestling Scottish Women’s Championship
  • BodySlam Women’s Championship

The prolific champion now holds title belts across the United States of America, England, Denmark, Austria, Italy, and Poland.

In an Instagram live session on Friday, Mone expressed interest in wrestling in Japan again, hoping to make a return at next year’s Wrestle Kingdom 20 event.

Mercedes Mone hoping to return to Japan soon

AEW star Mercedes Mone is hoping to be part of the card for NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20.

In an Instagram live session with fans today, Mone said she misses Japan and is hoping to return for Wrestle Kingdom in January 2026. The show — which is NJPW’s biggest annual event — is held at the Tokyo Dome every year on January 4.

“I miss Japan. I really, really want to go back to Japan,” Mone said. “I’m definitely hoping for Wrestle Kingdom that I would be back for Japan.”

Mone made her Tokyo Dome in-ring debut in January 2025, defeating Mina Shirakawa at Wrestle Dynasty. That is Mone’s most recent time wrestling in the country. She recently had talks to compete for Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling, but the scheduling did not work out.

Tonight (October 10), Mone is in Demark as she looks to add another championship to her belt collection. She is the current AEW TBS Champion and CMLL Women’s World Champion, along with holding a growing number of indie titles worldwide.

Mone has a trip to Mexico coming up for a CMLL title defense against Persephone on October 17.

Mercedes Mone’s opponent announced for indie show in Denmark

Mercedes Mone will be challenging for another title belt when she wrestles in Denmark this weekend.

Earlier this week, Mone was announced for BODYSLAM Wrestling’s show on Friday, October 10, in Greve Municipality, Denmark, although no opponent was revealed at the time.

BODYSLAM has since announced that Mone will challenge Aliss Ink for the promotion’s Women’s Championship, writing:

“For a staggering 1,100 days, Aliss Ink has worn the gold. Will October 10 in Greve be the final day of the reign of Scandinavia’s greatest wrestler of this millennium? Mercedes Moné is unparalleled in history, and if she ‘slays the Scandinavian Dragon,’ it will be another achievement in an already unmatched career. You’ve heard of the Forbidden Door, but on Friday AEW’s Mercedes Moné will be going through the Portal! Will it be the night when ‘The CEO’ wins her 10th belt? From AEW Dynamite to Danish Dynamite! History will be written on Friday. Be a part of it! Secure your ticket now – see you ringside!”

When Mone was first announced for the show, it was unclear if Ink would be available for the match. She had recently revealed in an Instagram post that she was out dealing with an injury, writing, “Absolutely gutted that I couldn’t join the party due to injury. To everyone missing me yesterday, the Dragon will be back, with thicker scales than ever.”

Mone has another title match lined up for later this week. She’s scheduled to challenge Jody Threat for the WPW Women’s Championship on Sunday, October 19, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. As of this writing, Mone is not scheduled to appear at AEW WrestleDream, which takes place the night before in St. Louis, Missouri.

Mercedes Mone announced for indie show in Denmark

Mercedes Mone is set for another international indie show.

The AEW TBS Champion has been announced for BODYSLAM Wrestling’s show on Friday, October 10, in Greve Municipality, Denmark.

The promotion wrote on Instagram:

“BREAKING: Mercedes Moné comes to 🇩🇰 Denmark October 10! 🤑 For the first time on Scandinavian soil the AEW superstar and TBS Champion comes to BODYSLAM this Friday October 10 in Greve. 🔥 An absolutely unique chance for Danish and Nordic wrestling fans to experience the world famous performer LIVE in front of your eyes. And it’s this coming Friday! We know Danish fans are some of the best crowds in the world. Let’s take it up another notch October 10. With already 9 championship belts to her name, could “The CEO” have her sights set on more gold? Get your tickets now to a historic night!”

The news comes one day after Winnipeg Pro Wrestling announced Mone will challenge Jody Threat fro the WPW Women’s Championship on  Sunday, October 19 at WPW Rumble in the Bert in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Unfortunately for Mone, the BODYSLAM Women’s Champion is currently injured. Swedish wrestler Aliss Ink, who has wrestled for promotions such as Stardom and wXw, wrote on Instagram last week that she had to miss a show due to injury, writing, “Absolutely gutted that I couldn’t join the party due to injury. To everyone missing me yesterday, the Dragon will be back, with thicker scales than ever.”

Mone currently holds nine championship titles: the AEW TBS Championship, CMLL World Women’s Championship, RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship, Queen of Southside Championship (merged with the RevPro title), Discovery Wrestling Scottish Women’s Championship, EWA Women’s Championship (Austria), PTW Women’s Championship (Poland), BestYa Women’s Championship (Italy), and the 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Championship belt.

Mercedes Mone to challenge for 10th title belt this month

Mercedes Mone has eyes on her tenth championship belt.

Winnipeg Pro Wrestling has announced that Mone will challenge TNA’s Jody Threat for the WPW Women’s Championship. The match will take place Sunday, October 19 at WPW Rumble in the Bert at the Burton Cummings Theatre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

WPW wrote on X:

“THE CEO COMES TO WPW Mercedes Moné challenges Jody Threat for the WPW Women’s Championship. Will Moné add another belt to her collection, or will The Wild Child put the CEO out of business?! Nearly 1300 tickets are gone, don’t miss out on the biggest event in WPW history!”

Also advertised for the show are Danhausen, Shotzi Blackheart, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, and more.

Mone currently holds nine championship belts: AEW TBS Championship, CMLL World Women’s Championship, 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Championship belt, RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship, EWA Women’s Championship (Austria), PTW Women’s Championship (Poland), BestYa Women’s Championship (Italy), Queen of Southside Championship (merged with the RevPro title but still carried by Mone), and the Discovery Wrestling Scottish Women’s Championship.

CMLL notes: Tessa Blanchard, Mercedes Mone, Persephone

CMLL made two major announcements regarding their women’s division on their Wednesday night CMLL Informa talk show.

Tessa Blanchard will return to the promotion for the first time in 2025 on the Friday, October 10 event at Arena Mexico as announced on Informa. Blanchard was a regular for the promotion throughout 2023 and 2024, but has not worked for the promotion in 2025 after rejoining TNA Wrestling at the beginning of this year.

No opponent has been announced for Blanchard.

Also announced on Informa, Mercedes Mone will make her next defense of the CMLL World Women’s Championship on their Friday, October 17 event. Persephone will challenge Mone for the title at that show.

Persephone was part of the TBS title four-way at Forbidden Door in London in August, a match where Mone retained the Championship. Mone has held the CMLL World Women’s title since defeating Zeuxis for the gold at AEW Grand Slam Mexico this past June.

The full CMLL Informa episode is embedded below.

Three matches set for AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday

The first three matches are set for next week’s Title Tuesday edition of AEW Dynamite.

After successfully defending her title against Riho at last month’s All Out, TBS Champion Mercedes Mone will look to keep her near-500 day run as champion going in an open challenge against “someone local from Florida.”

After the Gates of Agony defeated Swirl during Wednesday’s Dynamite, The Hurt Syndicate came out to confront the GOA and Ricochet and challenge them to a trios street fight this Tuesday.

Also during Dynamite, Don Callis issued a backstage challenge to reigning AEW World Tag Team Champion Brodido for a match against AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita, who was not happy about Callis offering up the match. It was never formally announced so it’s unclear if it’s for the titles.

The live show from Jacksonville, Florida, is taking place on Tuesday with Collision airing live on Wednesday due to the Major League Baseball playoffs on TBS.

Current AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday lineup:

  • TBS Champion Mercedes Mone defends against TBA
  • The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona) vs. Hurt Syndicate (MVP, Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin) in a street fight
  • AEW World Tag Team Champions Brodido (Brody King & Bandido) defend against Kazuchika Okada & Konosuke Takeshita (title or non-title TBA)

AEW All Out preview & predictions: Opportunity knocks

Editor’s Note: This is an opinion-based preview that reflects the views of the author and not our website.

Seven years in, Saturday’s AEW All Out is both a pay-per-view and a checkpoint: a place where AEW takes stock of what it is, where they are as a company, and what it might become.

The roster is battered and its depth is tested for the first time in a long time. Yet, the company still stands tall as the most viable alternative in modern wrestling history. A second, viable North American wrestling promotion is a boon to the entire industry; iron sharpens iron and all that. A perfect approval rating will never exist, but the alternative AEW provides is needed.

Injuries to Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay, and Swerve Strickland leave this year’s card without some of its most reliable big show anchors. All performers who, if they weren’t closing the show, were a sure bet to steal it. But absences lead to opportunities and AEW has a roster filled with names: Willow Nightingale, Daniel Garcia, Kris Statlander, Jamie Hayter, Queen Aminata and Konosuke Takeshita are among those who are ready for more.

A new generation in wrestling comes faster than anyone expects. For growth to continue, new stars must be developed.

All Out 2025 (3 PM Eastern main card start on PPV) is a test of depth, of patience, and of AEW’s ability to make new stars when old ones aren’t available. Let’s take a look at the card.

AEW All Out 2025 Cage Cope FTR

Adam Copeland & Christian Cage vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) (with Stokely Hathaway)

FTR has to be kicking their feet in the air and giggling at the thought of this match. Two men who live and breathe tag team wrestling get to square off with Hall of Fame-level Canadians in front of their home crowd. It’s the perfect storm for Dax and Cash who have looked revitalized in recent months. Cope, for me, has always been a mixed bag — overlong matches, overstuffed with drama — but there’s no denying that he’s a living legend.

Christian, a different kind of legend but one all the same, refuses to soften his edges and fully give the crowd what they want. Together, it works.

AEW does this kind of nostalgia showcase better than anyone. FTR will do everything in their power to make the legends shine. Cope and Christian will hit their spots, soak up the deserved love, and go over. Let’s keep this one under 15 minutes, boys.

Prediction: Cope and Christian

AEW All Out 2025 Eddie Kingston vs Big Bill

Big Bill vs. Eddie Kingston

It’s a stroke of booking genius to announce this match rather than have it be a surprise. It gives the audience something to be excited about while saving the outrageous return pop Kingston will receive. Kingston’s authenticity and fervor in the ring are desperately needed. His absence was glaring. I’m thrilled he’s back.

Few things in wrestling are as satisfying as Kingston walloping another man. Bill, meanwhile, has quietly become one of AEW’s most effective big men: simple moves presented without irony. This won’t be pretty and it shouldn’t be. Kingston thrives in these meat-and-potatoes brawls, the kind where emotion carries more than execution. Bill will get his moments: a chokeslam here, a big boot there, but make no mistake, this is Eddie’s showcase. He’ll drag Bill into the deep water, spit in his face, yapping the whole time.

Prediction: Eddie Kingston

The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin & MVP) vs. Ricochet and GOA (Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona)

Just because this is likely the filler match doesn’t mean it won’t be good with a solid faction on one side, a reinvented daredevil and two bruisers on the other. Lashley and Benjamin are closer to the “greatest hits” stage of their careers rather than their prime, but that can still be wildly effective when paired with Ricochet’s chicanery and the raw power of Kaun and Liona.

The wheel won’t be reinvented, but it doesn’t need to be in order to be successful. Expect Ricochet to bounce around like a pinball, Lashley to hit one or two spears that could be considered like assault, and for the Gates of Agony to show people who they are and what they can do (they’re good!).

Prediction: The Hurt Syndicate

AEW All Out 2025 Jon Moxley vs Darby Allin

Jon Moxley vs. Darby Allin in a coffin match

I should have saved the ‘kicking their feet in the air and giggling’ reference I used earlier for this match. Moxley and Allin have to be over the moon coming up with some really sick things they can do to each other during this match. These are two men who would happily hurl themselves into actual caskets and get buried alive if the occasion called for it. Maybe even light it on fire while we’re at it, but it’s also a perfect match for a perfect pairing.

Moxley is the connective tissue of AEW. There is no situation where he can’t shine. It doesn’t matter who the opponent is, the program, or the match. You can drop him into anything and trust it will land. Darby, meanwhile, remains wrestling’s crash test dummy, a man with no regard for either his body or tomorrow. If this clicks, and it should, this won’t feel like a stipulation match, but more like a natural extension of who these two are.

Expect a car crash watched between slits in your fingers, full of blood, and bodies crumpled in unnatural shapes. No one will be left wondering if they held anything back. Darby is one of the few performers in wrestling who is not hurt by losses. Mox wins and continues his path of destruction on whoever steps up next.

Prediction: Moxley

MJF vs. Mark Briscoe in a Tables ‘n’ Tacks match

AEW is never better than when it leans into chaos and there are few wrestlers more chaotic than Mark Briscoe. He’s a one-man demolition derby. The idea of him and Darby Allin working on a blank canvas fills me with joy. Pairing Briscoe’s brand of unhinged with MJF, a man who is all about control and theatrics, is a recipe for either disaster or delight, depending on how self-indulgent the newly married Max (congrats!) is feeling.

He must show restraint and let the match itself be the theatrics. The match will be over the top without his typical antics. His job is to hold the match together and to provide structure around the madness. If he leans into being more of a conductor instead of a melodramatist, this could be special.

The stipulation pushes MJF out of his comfort zone while Briscoe will gleefully throw himself through every piece of furniture in the building if it means entertaining the crowd. Blood is promised; just how much is the unknown. As much as I’d like to see Briscoe gain some constant momentum, I don’t think that’s happening.

Prediction: MJF

AEW All Out 2025 Mercedes Mone vs Riho

TBS Champion Mercedes Mone defends against Riho

Mercedes Mone is at her most compelling when she can lean into cruelty. Against Riho, she has a rare size and power advantage which should allow her to work with a different cadence: stretching her out, bullying her, making every bump feel violent.

Riho is an AEW original, someone who can pull on the crowd’s heartstrings and rallying them through her resilience. The success of this match depends on contrast: Mercedes as the precision villain vs. Riho as the stubborn survivor. Play that chord and we have some music. It’s not an epic waiting to happen, but it’s a smart piece of matchmaking.

It’s always nice to see Riho pop back up for her semi-annual six-week run. There were certainly signs of ring rust, but she’s a proven performer on big stages. There’s the potential for some seriously gruesome bumping in this match. Count me in.

Prediction: Mone retains

AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada defends against Konosuke Takeshita and Mascara Dorada in a three-way

For all of Okada’s undeniable greatness, this match feels like Takeshita’s to define. He’s been on the cusp of superstardom for what feels like forever and it’s only a matter of time before he makes his move to that tier. If Kenny Omega couldn’t bring out the full Okada experience, can Takeshita? At some point, perhaps, but not in a triple threat.

The subtle teases for an Okada/Takeshita collision have been there for a while, but this doesn’t feel like two titans settling a final score. This is the amuse-bouche for something more and hopefully something greater. It should lead to the Don Callis family imploding in some capacity with Takeshita emerging as a top of the card babyface that’s been inside of him all along.

The intrigue comes in the form of Dorada. He prevents the straight-line collision between Okada and Takeshita. He’s certainly not here to win, but to add a sense of bombast and excitement to the match. Besides, if Big Kazu decides to run this one at 60% capacity, Dorada can certainly pump up the heartbeat of the match.

Prediction: Okada retains

AEW World Tag Team Champions Brodido (Brody King & Bandido) defend against The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson), JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & “Speedball” Mike Bailey) and The Don Callis Family (Hechicero & Josh Alexander) in a four-way ladder match

This is AEW at its most AEW: eight wildly different wrestlers thrown into a ladder match with full intentions to tear the house down. JetSpeed brings the juice, Knight and Speedball look better and better every week, and Hechicero’s unorthodox brilliance meshing with Josh Alexander’s no-nonsense power.

Then there’s Brodido, a pairing that shouldn’t work on paper but absolutely does. What do you mean the lead singer of a hardcore band is partnering with a masked bandit?  That brings us, then, to the Young Bucks. Not much needs to be said about these absolute legends. 20 years of wrestling their style, wrestling their way, and transforming an industry. Their style doesn’t lend itself to longevity, but here they are, as good as they’ve ever been after all this time.

Expect insanity, expect bodies flying off ladders, and expect at least one terrifying spot that will have the older pro wrestling ‘intelligentsia’ clutching their pearls. But don’t expect the belts to change hands. Let Brodido cook for awhile as they’re too much fun to cut short. The Bucks will come close, JetSpeed will shine, and the Callis Family will menace, but Brodido stays on top.

Prediction: Brodido retains

AEW All Out 2025 Womens Four Way

AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm defends against Jamie Hayter, Kris Statlander and Thekla in a four-way

An ace elevates everyone around them. Toni Storm is exactly that. More than anyone else in the company, she is a foundation. The entire women’s division works because of her. She is the sun everything revolves around. Not everything is a home run, but nothing ever misses. The three most important people to AEW right now are Toni, Moxley, and Hangman and she’s not third on that list.

Kris Statlander is here to take the pin, I fear. She remains AEW’s perennial “almost,” talented enough for the spot but perpetually stuck in holding patterns. The parallels with Daniel Garcia’s character are certainly noted. Booking replete with half measures and unfulfilled teases leave her in perpetual limbo. The talent is well and truly there, but something has to change for it to completely click.

Prediction: Storm retains

AEW All Out 2025 Hangman vs Kyle Fletcher

AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page defends against Kyle Fletcher

When I listed people ready to make the leap, Kyle Fletcher’s name wasn’t listed. That’s because he’s already made it. He’s seized his opportunity and run through a wall with it. He is ruthlessly efficient. His moves hit hard and hit with purpose. His rise has been consistent with no moment too big for the preternaturally talented Aussie. This is the biggest moment of his career. I doubt he shrinks from it.

Page is as reliable a champion as AEW could want. He’s always good for a fight, always capable of tapping into emotion. Will this be as memorable as his clashes with Omega or Swerve? Probably not as there’s not enough heart in the story. When emotion is involved, no one is better than Hangman. If this had a few more weeks, maybe we could get there. As is, we’re looking at an incredibly solid main event with the potential for more.

Expect Hangman to give Fletcher a ton, maybe too much, before closing the door. The goal of this match isn’t for Page to dominate, but to put the final stamp on the main event version of “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher.

Prediction: Page retains
