WWE Women’s Tag Team title match added to NXT Atlanta event

A date has been set for the next Women’s Tag Team title match.

Bianca Belair & Naomi will defend the titles against Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend in two weeks, when NXT holds a televised event at Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia on January 28. The two were successful in defending the Women’s Tag Team titles on Friday, defeating Nia Jax & Candice LeRae on SmackDown.

Legend & Jackson became the number one contenders on Tuesday’s NXT, defeating the Raw team of Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre, the Unholy Union. The two teams had been feuding in recent weeks leading to the number one contender’s match.

Naomi replaced Jade Cargill as Bianca’s teammate after Cargill was put through a windshield in November. The two noted backstage before their match that there were still no leads as to who actually took out Cargill.

Here is the updated lineup for WWE NXT at Center Stage:

  • NXT Women’s North American Champion Fallon Henley defends against Shotzi
  • WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair & Naomi defend against Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson

New WWE Women’s Tag Team title number one contenders crowned

Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson are the new number one contenders to the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

The Meta Girls (Legend and Jackson) defeated Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn) on this week’s WWE NXT in a number one contender’s match to earn the next shot at the Women’s Tag Team titles, currently held by Bianca Belair and Naomi.

Belair and Jade Cargill originally won the Tag titles at Bash in Berlin last August. Naomi was named the replacement for Cargill on the December 20 WWE SmackDown episode after an angle where Cargill was shown laid out on the hood of a car, implicating a mystery attacker. That storyline thread has yet to be tied up.

Tuesday’s WWE NXT also set up two title bouts for next week’s show, with Oba Femi defending the NXT title against Eddy Thorpe, plus Tony D’Angelo defending the North American title against Ridge Holland.

Another title match was also made official for the January 28 episode, with Fallon Henley defending the Women’s North American Championship against Shotzi. Henley interfered in a number one contender’s match between Shotzi and Stephanie Vaquer this week, allowing Shotzi to score the victory.

Giulia & Stephanie Vaquer vs. Meta-Four added to WWE NXT

A new match has been added to Tuesday’s NXT.

It was announced on social media that Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia will team together to take on Meta-Four’s Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend.

Vaquer and Giulia took part in the main event of last week’s program where they, Jordynne Grace, Zaria, and Kelani Jordan defeated Fatal Influence, Cora Jade, and Roxanne Perez. Towards the end of the match, Jackson and Legend attempted to interfere at ringside but were taken out by Giulia and Vaquer.

Jackson & Legend had been making appearances on the main roster in recent weeks which led to them being part of a four-way Women’s Tag Team title match at Crown Jewel, where they failed to win the titles.

The announced card for the Tuesday, November 12 WWE NXT:

  • NXT Women’s North American Champion Fallon Henley defends against Kelani Jordan
  • Iron Survivor Challenge qualifier: Wes Lee vs. Cedric Alexander
  • Iron Survivor Challenge qualifier: Cora Jade vs. Sol Ruca
  • Stephanie Vaquer & Giulia vs. Meta-Four (Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend)
  • Nikkita Lyons vs. Adriana Rizzo
  • Ava decides the next challengers to Nathan Frazer & Axiom’s NXT Tag Team titles

Wren Sinclair vs. Lash Legend announced for WWE NXT

Wren Sinclair’s first singles match on WWE programming has been announced.

Formerly known as Madi Wrenkowski, Sinclair got her start training with the Hybrid School of Wrestling in San Antonio, Texas. She is a former NWA Women’s Tag Team Champion and regularly performed on episodes of AEW: Dark and Dark: Elevation from late 2020 to late 2022.

The 28-year-old is believed to have signed with WWE around November 2023 after having attended a tryout that September.

  • Dijak vs. Joe Gacy

  • Wren Sinclair vs. Lash Legend

Trick Williams, Lash Legend qualify for WWE NXT Iron Survivor Challenge

Lash Legend and Trick Williams have qualified for the Iron Survivor Challenge.

Legend defeated Roxanne Perez on Tuesday’s NXT thanks to interference from both Jakara Jackson and Kianna James. Trick Williams later defeated Joe Coffey of Gallus to qualify for the men’s match, pinning Coffey after hitting a knee. After the match Carmelo Hayes, who seconded Williams for his match, kept looking at the updated graphic for the Iron Survivor Challenge with Williams in it.

With their wins, Legend and Williams now advance to NXT Deadline, which will take place on December 9 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. On last week’s show, Tiffany Stratton and Dijak became the first two to qualify for the match. Stratton defeated Fallon Henley, while Dijak defeated Tyler Bate.

WWE Hall of Fame talent will be announcing the qualifying matches over the next couple of weeks. Mick Foley announced the first set of matches, while Lita announced this week’s matches. JBL and Jerry Lawler will announce future qualifying matches.

Face-to-face segment, tag match added to WWE NXT Gold Rush

WWE has announced a tag match and a new segment for NXT Gold Rush week one.

Valentina Feroz & Yulisa Leon vs. Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend is now scheduled for Tuesday’s show.

During the Heritage Cup match between Nathan Frazier and Oro Mensah last week, Jackson and Legend attempted to interfere on behalf of Mensah. This led to Leon and Feroz running to ringside and evening up the score.

On Sunday, WWE made a tag match between the two teams official.

WWE has also announced that NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes will be involved in a face-to-face segment with upcoming challenger Baron Corbin on Tuesday. Corbin will challenge the champion for the title on week two of Gold Rush.

WWE has also confirmed that Chase U will throw a pep rally for Thea Hail on Tuesday. Hail will challenge Tiffany Stratton for the NXT Women’s Championship on week two of Gold Rush.

WWE NXT Gold Rush week one 6/20:

  • NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton vs. Thea Hall
  • NXT Tag Team Champions Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) defend against the winners of the triple threat on 6/20

Shotzi vs. Lash Legend announced for WWE NXT

A match between Shotzi and Lash Legend has been made for this Tuesday’s NXT.

In addition to Shotzi vs. Legend, The Schism will reveal their newest member, a masked figure who has been helping them in recent weeks.

On Saturday’s Halloween Havoc, Shotzi hosted the event along with Quincy Elliot. Legend came out and confronted them towards the end of the show, suggesting she would be a better host than either of them. All three traded words, but Legend was eventually laid out with a DDT.

After that segment ended, The Schism appeared with the hooded figure that has been seen with them in recent weeks. Gacy asked if the member was ready to reveal themselves, with the member indicating they were. Gacy then said the reveal would happen on Tuesday.

Here is the updated lineup for Tuesday’s NXT.

  • NXT Tag Team titles: Pretty Deadly defend against Edris Enofe and Malik Blade
  • NXT Women’s Tag Team titles: Katana Chance and Kayden Carter defend against Zoey Stark and Nikkita Lyons
  • Lash Legend vs. Shotzi
  • New Schism member revealed

Fallon Henley vs. Lash Legend added to WWE NXT 2.0 anniversary episode

A new match has been confirmed for NXT 2.0’s one-year anniversary episode.

WWE has announced that Fallon Henley vs. Lash Legend will take place on NXT this Tuesday. The two have been involved in a feud, with Henley aligned with Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen and Legend aligned with Pretty Deadly.

Legend & Pretty Deadly defeated Henley, Briggs & Jensen on the final NXT before Worlds Collide. Pretty Deadly then won a four-way match at Worlds Collide to become the unified NXT Tag Team Champions.

WWE.com wrote:

After countless run-ins and brawls, Fallon Henley and Lash Legend are finally set to settle the score in the ring.

The outspoken Legend made her feelings known when she blindsided Henley with a pump kick before joining Pretty Deadly to mock the country trio. Since then, Legend has added some extra flavor to the tasty snacks’ rivalry with Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen, scrapping with Henley at every opportunity.

Can Henley get retribution on Legend when the two Superstars go one-on-one? Find out Tuesday night on NXT 2.0 at 8/7 C on USA!

The updated card for the NXT 2.0 anniversary episode is listed below:

  • NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes defends against either Von Wagner, Wes Lee, or Joe Gacy (a fan vote will determine Hayes’ challenger)
  • NXT Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly defend against The Creed Brothers (a fan vote will determine whether this is a tornado tag match, a no DQ match, or a steel cage match)
  • Tony D’Angelo & Stacks vs. Cameron Grimes and a partner to be determined
  • Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark vs. Kiana James & Arianna Grace
  • Hank Walker vs. Javier Bernal
  • Fallon Henley vs. Lash Legend

Tag team match announced for WWE NXT

A women’s tag team match has been made official for this week’s edition of NXT.

NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Katana Chance & Kayden Carter will be in action as they face Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley on NXT this Tuesday night. It appears that Chance & Carter vs. Nile & Paxley will be a non-title match.

Earlier this month, Chance & Carter became NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions by winning a fatal four-way elimination match. Nile & Paxley, Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne, and Yulisa Leon & Valentina Feroz were the other teams in the match.

The NXT Women’s Tag Team titles were vacant going into that four-way match following the breakup of Roxanne Perez & Cora Jade’s team.

There was a backstage segment on NXT last week where Chance & Carter said they’re ready for any challenge:

Tuesday’s NXT will feature the final build to Worlds Collide, which takes place this Sunday (September 4).

Here’s the updated lineup for the episode:

WWE NXT (Tuesday, August 30) —

  • Apollo Crews vs. Grayson Waller
  • Josh Briggs, Brooks Jensen & Fallon Henley vs. Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) & Lash Legend
  • Diamond Mine (Brutus Creed, Julius Creed & Damon Kemp) vs. Gallus (Mark Coffey, Joe Coffey & Wolfgang)
  • Katana Chance & Kayden Carter vs. Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley

Roxanne Perez, Lash Legend advance in NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament

Roxanne Perez and Lash Legend have advanced in the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament.

Legend was the first to advance during tonight’s episode of NXT, pinning Tatum Paxley with a high kick. Later in the show, Perez defeated Kianna James after a code red out of the corner. As a result, Perez and Legend will face one another in the semifinals.

Fallon Henley and Nikita Lyons were the first two to advance in the tournament. On last week’s NXT, Henley defeated Jacobs with a knee strike, becoming the first to advance in the opening round. Lyons then became the second by defeating Ariana Grace with a split-legged legdrop. They will face one another in the next round.

The NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament is the first to feature women. The winner of the tournament will get a future NXT Women’s Championship match. Previous winners of the breakout tournament include Carmelo Hayes, who won the 2021 tournament, and Jordan Myles (ACH), who won in 2019.

Four NXT 2.0 wrestlers coming to NXT UK

Several members of the NXT 2.0 roster have been advertised for future episodes of NXT UK.

On Thursday’s edition of the show, footage was shown of Damon Kemp (Bobby Steveson), Ivy Nile, Von Wagner, and Lash Legend arriving at the BT Sport Studio in London for Wednesday’s tapings.

“Starting next week, the Americans are coming,” Nigel McGuinness said on the broadcast. “NXT Superstars Lash Legend, Ivy Nile, Damon Kemp, and the imposing Von Wagner arrived here earlier this week. I, for one, cannot wait to see what matchups NXT UK General Manager, Johnny Saint, comes up with for this fresh batch of talent.”

Von Wagner was then shown tearing up an autograph Saxon Huxley signed for a young fan, perhaps setting up an angle between the two of them.

Kemp posted a photo of himself in front of the NXT UK logo to social media on Wednesday. Legend and Nile both posted similar photos on April 15.

Nathan Frazer debut, three more matches announced for WWE NXT

Nathan Frazer’s NXT 2.0 debut, plus three more matches have been announced for the April 26 episode of WWE NXT.

Frazer’s debut was announced in a video vignette on this week’s show. No opponent was announced for Frazer, an NXT UK regular who made his WWE debut on the January 7, 2021 episode of NXT UK. Prior to WWE, Frazer worked as Ben Carter during a 2020 cup of coffee with AEW.

Also announced, Nikkita Lyons will face Lash Legend as the rivalry between the two continues. Lyons defeated Legend in their prior singles meeting on the April 5 NXT 2.0.

A six-person mixed tag match was also announced for next week, with Fallon Henley, Josh Briggs, and Brooks Jensen taking on Elektra Lopez, and Legado del Fantasma.

Prior to challenging for the NXT North American title at May 3’s Spring Breakin’, Solo Sikoa will face Trick Williams on next week’s show.

The announced lineup for next week:

WWE NXT, Tuesday, April 26 —

  • Solo Sikoa vs. Trick Williams
  • Fallon Henley, Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen vs. Elektra Lopez & Legado del Fantasma
  • Nikkita Lyons vs. Lash Legend
  • Nathan Frazer debuts

Amari Miller stretchered out following match on WWE NXT

Amari Miller was stretchered out during tonight’s NXT.

Following her loss to Lash Legend, footage on social media showed Miller was stretchered out backstage to the locker room during a commercial break. PWInsider reported that she is being checked out by WWE’s medical staff.

Legend and Miller competed in the Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament on last week’s show. However, they lost to the team of Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray, who advanced to the second round. A segment prior to their match tonight showed dissension between the two, with Legend blaming Miller for their loss. Legend then proceeded to defeat Miller with a modified fireman’s carry slam.

Legend’s first match on WWE television aired on the December 7 edition of 205 Live, where she defeated Miller. Prior to her match on NXT last week, she had mostly been wrestling on 205 Live, though she did host a segment on NXT called Lashing Out with Lash Legend. Miller has been wrestling on NXT television since June of last year.

WWE 205 Live results: Sarray vs. Lash Legend

Sarray defeated Lash Legend

Sarray made her in-ring return after a month-long hiatus against the very new Lash Legend. Sadly, the match wasn’t good, and the closing angle was just strange.

Sarray offered Legend a handshake to open, but Legend slapped away her offering. Legend then succeeded in using her power to take control and maintain it for some time. Sarray eventually had a short rally that Legend ended with a rollup attempt, and Sarray took advantage, reversing the pin into one of her own; Legend failed to kick out.

After the match, Legend hit Sarray with a boot and a facebuster variation.

Legend then cut a promo, claiming she used to like Sarray and that she was cute. Legend’s appraisal of Sarray changed, however, when Sarray dared to pin her.

Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz defeated Erica Yan and Fallon Henley

This match was as formulaic as possible, and as a result, it was utterly forgettable.

This match opened with some grappling. Feroz, who started the match, stayed in as her opponents traded tags. Eventually, this left Yan and Henley with control. Henley forced Feroz to fight out of an extended ground control segment, leading to the hot tag.

Leon hit the ring, delivering multiple suplexes before tagging Feroz back into the match. Leon lifted Feroz, allowing her to hit Yan with a crossbody that led directly to the pinfall.

Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde defeated Malik Blade and Ru Feng (Legado Del Fantasma)

Wilde and Mendoza made their return to 205 Live, following more than a year of absence.

This was very similar structurally to the previous match. The work in-ring was better than the match before it, but was still not worth seeking out.

Blade and Feng gained a quick lead that Feng maintained even as Wilde and Mendoza tagged in and out; this lasted until Mendoza slipped free from Feng’s shoulders. After escaping, Mendoza and Wilde traded many a quick tag to take over the match. It wasn’t long before LDF had Feng desperate for a tag.

Feng finally escaped from a prolonged submission, leading to the hot tag. Blade ran the gauntlet, taking out both of his opponents. Blade’s offence was short-lived, though, as he ran into Feng on the apron, causing enough of a pause for LDF to catch Blade with a tandem kick. Blade was then pinned.

WWE 205 Live results: Lash Legend debuts

Lash Legend defeated Amari Miller

Lash Legend was dominant in her debut. Legend (real name Anriel Howard) is a former basketball player who played for Mississippi State and Texas A&M in college and was drafted by the WNBA’s Seattle Storm. She’s hosted her “Lashing Out With Legend” talk show on NXT but had her first match here.

I think this was the tenth 75/25 squash this month on 205 Live.

Legend opened the match with dominance, hitting Miller with uncontested moves before trying for mocking pinfalls. Even in dire straits, Miller taunted Legend. Miller finally sidestepped Legend late in the match and connected with an offensive… thing. Legend didn’t let this last, however, as she grabbed Miller, slamming her into the ropes before dropping her.

Andre Chase defeated Guru Raaj

I don’t think I’ll ever rewatch this one. Not that it was insufferable, I just doubt I’ll remember it happened this time next week.

Andre Chase now has a “student of the week,” and he has a flag.

Guru Raaj and Chase proved to be on equal footing early in the match. Just as Raaj was gaining some leverage, Chase grabbed the hair of Raaj to drop him. Chase followed up by leading a “CHASE U” chant.

Raaj ducked a lariat to open Chase up for significant striking, and a bulldog left Raaj with a near fall.

Chase ducked a kick to work his way back into control. He then connected with a giant boot and hammerlock DDT to close the match.

Solo Sikoa defeated Malik Blade

This was a tedious watch. There was nothing substantive in this one to sink your teeth into.

Malik Blade took Solo Sikoa to the mat, working the arm, following the opening bell. Sikoa eventually overpowered Blade, only for Blade to gain a headlock moments later. Thankfully, Sikoa hit a shoulder tackle to begin his first offense. Sikoa then took Blade to the mat.

Late in the match, Blade started a rally with a series of dropkicks and a superkick. A dropkick from the top left Blade with a near fall. Blade climbed to the top again, but he was caught by a Sikoa kick this time. Sikoa then hit Blade with a spinning thumb strike to close the match.
