WOL: The right people believe in Joe Hendry

It’s Saturday and time for Wrestling Observer Live.

Friday saw an awesome TLC match on WWE SmackDown, some awesomely bad punches by Naomi to Jade Cargill, and John Cena going from disgruntled wrestler to the anti-Heath Slater. He’s tired of raising your kids.

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry may have disappointed some of his fans by losing to Randy Orton at WrestleMania, but It probably won’t matter as long as he impressed the right audience.

Plus, thoughts on WrestleMania 41, WWE seemingly leaning into bro culture with The Roast of WrestleMania featuring some of the hackiest, most obvious statements that are supposed to pass for jokes. Don’t be offended by the content. Be offended because they weren’t funny. No wonder WWE is trying to hide it.

Closing out the weekend, “The Roast of WrestleMania Featuring Tony Hinchcliffe & Friends” will take place after WrestleMania 41 night two on Sunday, April 20. WWE and the Fontainebleau hotel are partnering together for the comedy show, which is being held at the BleauLive Theater inside of the hotel.
