Mixed Tag Team title match added to next AAA TV taping

Championship match added to upcoming AAA TV Taping.

Earlier this year at WrestleMania 41, WWE announced its acquitision of Lucha Libre AAA. Since then, the two promotions have closely worked together including several cross-promotional PLEs. Earlier this month, Chelsea Green and Ethan Page defeated La Hiedra & Mr. Iguana to become the new AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champions. Less than a month into their reign, the duo have already defended their titles once and are set to defend it again at the next AAA TV taping.

In a latest social media update by Lucha Libre AAA, it was announced that Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana will challenge Page and Green for their Mixed Tag Team titles in Mexico City on November 22nd at the Gimnasio Olímpico Juan de la Barrera.

17-days into their title reign, the duo recently defended their championship against Thea Hail and Joe Hendry on the week one episode of WWE NXT Goldrush.

Ethan Page says pairing with Chelsea Green is a ‘yin and yang situation’

Ethan Page discussed his pairing with Chelsea Green in a recent interview.

Page and Green won the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships from La Hiedra and Mr. Iguana on November 2. Five days later, Green defeated Giulia to regain the Women’s United States Championship on SmackDown.

Speaking with The Mark Moses Show, Page said Green brings out a softer side in him while he aims to bring out a more dangerous side in her.

“She definitely brings out a softer side in me, whereas I feel I will bring out a more dangerous side in her, maybe a darker side, a more violent side,” Page said.

“I think it’s like a yin and yang situation too. I am very obsessed with wrestling, have been my whole life, almost to the point of a historian, at least with the skill set of wrestling. And she is not. She is a full-fledged entertainer turned wrestler and has fallen in love with this throughout her career. So we have different perspectives on wrestling, and I think that helps it as well.”

Page was ringside at SmackDown for Green’s title win. Giulia dominated much of the match until Alba Fyre and Kiana James brawled at ringside, distracting Giulia and allowing Green to roll her up, put her feet on the ropes, and score the pin.

Up next, Green and Page have been challenged to defend their AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships against Joe Hendry and Thea Hail at the November 18 NXT Gold Rush show. Page is also scheduled to challenge El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. for the AAA Latin American Championship on December 20 at Guerra de Titanes.

Page’s full appearance on The Mark Moses Show is available below:

Chelsea Green wins Women’s United States title on WWE SmackDown

A new Women’s United States Champion has been crowned.

Chelsea Green is now the first-ever two time Women’s United States Champion, defeating Giulia on Friday in shocking fashion. After just over a minute of action, Kiana James helped Giulia at ringside by giving Green an elbow. Alba Fyre at ringside responded with a superkick. Giulia took out Fyre, but the distraction allowed Green to roll up the now former champion, putting her feet on the ropes for the surprise win.

After the match, Green celebrated with her tag team partner Ethan Page at ringside. He lifted her in the air as she held both of her championships.

Green has seen momentum in recent weeks, continuing her partnership with NXT’s Page that began earlier in the year. Last weekend at AAA’s Day of the Dead television taping, they defeated Mr. Iguana and La Hiedra to win the AAA Mixed Tag Team titles. Green now joins Page as a double champion, as he also holds the NXT North American title.

On Tuesday, the two were celebrating their Mixed Tag Team title win when Joe Hendry and Thea Hail interrupted, making it clear they wanted the first shot at the titles at Gold Rush. The show ended with the two getting pies thrown in their faces.

Mixed Tag Team title match official for WWE NXT Gold Rush

A mixed Tag Team title match has officially been booked for NXT Gold Rush 2025.

The two-week NXT TV special, being held at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City, begins on November 18. After a challenge was laid out this Tuesday, WWE has confirmed that the lineup will include AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions Chelsea Green & Ethan Page defending their belts against Thea Hail & Joe Hendry.

Green & Page won the AAA Mixed Tag Team titles from La Hiedra & Mr. Iguana in Mexico last weekend. The new champs then held a celebration on NXT, but it was crashed by Hail & Hendry.

During the confrontation, Page thought Hendry wanted to challenge for his NXT North American Championship at Gold Rush. But Hendry revealed that he wasn’t alone, naming Hail as his partner for a Mixed Tag Team title bout. They stood tall after Hail popped out of the cake and left Green, Page, and Alba Fyre covered in whipped cream.

Week one of Gold Rush will air live on The CW at 8 p.m. Eastern on November 18. The following week’s part two on November 25 will be a taped episode filmed alongside the original night.

The following matches are also set for Gold Rush (nights to be announced):

  • Triple threat match: TNA Knockouts Champion Kelani Jordan defends against Lei Ying Lee and Jordynne Grace
  • NXT Women’s North American Champion Blake Monroe defends against Sol Ruca (if Ruca is cleared)
  • WWE Speed Women’s Championship tournament finals Zaria vs. either Fallon Henley or Skylar Rae

Championship celebration added to WWE NXT

On WWE NXT tonight, Chelsea Green & Ethan Page will celebrate their AAA title victory.

Green & Page became the new Mixed Tag Team Champions for Lucha Libre AAA by defeating La Hiedra & Mr. Iguana over the weekend. The new champs will now appear on NXT tonight for what WWE is calling a “Muy Grande Championship Celebration.”

Both Green & Page are Canadian but had not met prior to working together in NXT. Green recently said the pairing is going even better than she could have expected — and she would like for Page to work alongside her on the WWE main roster as well.

Ahead of NXT tonight, Shawn Michaels sent out a tweet congratulating Green & Page on their AAA win.

“Couldn’t be prouder of @OfficialEGO & @ImChelseaGreen,” Michaels wrote. “Hard work. Teamwork. Championship gold. Congratulations to the new @luchalibreaaa Mixed Tag Team Champions. #WWENXT”

Page is also the current men’s North American Champion in NXT.

Tonight’s broadcast begins at 8 p.m. Eastern time, with a six-woman tag match set to open the show. The bout will pit Tatum Paxley, Izzi Dame & Lola Vice against Fatal Influence.

Latin American title match set for AAA Guerra de Titanes

A new title match is set for Guerra de Titanes.

After Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. retained the title during Sunday’s AAA Day of the Dead television taping, Ethan Page ran in and jumped Wagner from behind. He told Wagner that he already beat him in his country in front of his people, and now he was going to do it in front of Dr. Wagner’s people. He claimed he would take the Latin American title, and would see him in Guadalajara on December 20.

Backstage, Wagner reacted to the attack while Ethan Page promised to become a triple champion on social media. Earlier in the night, Page and Chelsea Green teamed together to defeat Mr. Iguana and La Hiedra to win the AAA Mixed Tag Team titles for the first time.

The two have been feuding on NXT for the last several weeks, culminating in a Day of the Dead match that took place at Halloween Havoc. Page emerged as the winner, retaining the NXT North American title.

New Mixed Tag Team Champions crowned during AAA tapings

New champions have been crowned in AAA.

Ethan Page and Chelsea Green defeated Mr. Iguana and La Hiedra during Sunday’s AAA television taping in Monterrey to win the AAA Mixed Tag Team titles for the first time. The finish had Green pinning Hiedra to win the titles for her team. The match is scheduled to air next week in Mexico.

This ends the reign of Hierda and Iguana after nearly a year. They first won the titles by defeating TNA’s Decay (Crazzy Steve and Havok) back on December 8, 2024.

After the match, Lola Vice came out to console Iguana after the two were seen talking together earlier in the night. Hiedra didn’t like this and ended up slapping Iguana, officially ending their relationship. This left Vice to comfort Iguana in the ring.

The new champions celebrated their win backstage, which was shown on WWE’s socials.

Last month, Green had issued the challenge for AAA’s Day of the Dead event, reuniting with NXT North American Champion Ethan Page. The two teamed up to defeat Tavion Heights and Tyra Mae Steele at NXT Heatwave back in August.

Chelsea Green on pairing with Ethan Page: ‘Better than I could have ever imagined’

Chelsea Green says her pairing with Ethan Page in NXT and AAA is going better than she could have ever imagined.

Green and Page will challenge for the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championships against Mr. Iguana and La Hiedra in Monterrey tomorrow night. During a recent interview with Gabby AF, Green was asked about her pairing with the current NXT North American Champion and said she had never crossed paths with him before, but knew almost immediately that they had chemistry working together.

“I had never met this man in my life,” Green responded. “I had always heard about Ethan Page, obviously. We’re Canadian, we always know about people on the indies.”

“As he was kind of seeing his rise, so was I. But funny enough, we never wrestled together. We were never on the same shows, we never crossed paths.”

Green said they had a small rehearsal for their first segment together in NXT, but did not interact much at all before the show. Once they were in the ring cutting a promo together, Green said she realized how similar their characters are.

“He walks out and he starts talking and I’m like, ‘Holy s–t. Oh, is he? He’s me,'” Green said “I was just so caught off guard.”

“I get in the ring and I’m talking and I can feel like out of my peripherals I can feel his facial expressions. I can feel his energy and he like leans over like this and I’m like, he’s perfect.”

“I think we both immediately knew like this is something. And we just continued to build and learn that we had the same goals in mind and learn that we had the same work ethic and drive.”

Finally, Green said she wants Page to be called up to the main roster to be part of her group with Alba Fyre and the injured Piper Niven.

“It has been way better than I could have ever imagined and I have been so stuck on trying to get him to the main roster because I can’t unsee this duo and this group now with the girls too.”

Green’s full conversation with Gabby AF is available below:

Chelsea Green issues challenge for AAA Day of the Dead event

Chelsea Green and Ethan Page are looking to win the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships.

In a video posted by AAA on Sunday, Green issued a challenge to current champions La Hiedra and Mr. Iguana for the promotion’s special Day of the Dead event on November 2 in Monterrey.

Green says in the video:

“On November 2 in Monterrey, Mexico, Ethan Page and Chelsea Green plan to be your new AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions. La Hiedra, Mr. Iguana, how do you say it in Espanol? Ethan Page, Chelsea Green, numero uno, yes.”

AAA has yet to make the match official. Hiedra and Iguana have held the titles since defeating Crazzy Steve and Havok for them last December.

Earlier on Sunday, AAA announced the first match for the November 2 show. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. will defend his Latin American Championship against former AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo. Wagner is coming off a successful title defense against Page at NXT Halloween Havoc.

SmackDown star to challenge for North American title at WWE NXT house show

Ethan Page has an opponent for NXT Cleveland.

In a social media post, Ethan Page was bragging about his win over TNA star Trey Miguel at Friday’s house show in Detroit when he came across Johnny Gargano, who responded with an insult. The two then got into a brawl that had to be separated by the rest of the roster. Gargano then declared he’d be going after Page’s North American title at NXT Cleveland on Saturday night at the Agora Theatre.

Page responded to the promo on social media.

“I’m not gonna carry your bags, Johnny … but I’ll pack them for you. NXT is my show now,” he wrote.

Top results from Friday include Ricky Saints & The Motor City Machine Guns defeating Lexis King, Josh Briggs, and Trick Williams, Sol Ruca defending the Speed title against Kendal Grey, which went to a time limit draw, then defeated Grey in a second match, and Oba Femi defeating Je’Von Evans. Femi was confronted by Omos after the match, who had appeared at a NXT house show the day prior.

Updated lineup for next week’s WWE NXT Showdown

Teams are official and a new title match are set for next week.

The main focus on Tuesday’s show was setting the stage for next week’s Showdown event between NXT and TNA talent, including two NXT vs. TNA Survivor Series-style elimination matches. Additionally, Ethan Page will defend the North American title against TNA’s Mustafa Ali.

NXT GM Ava at the start of the show named Ricky Starks & Jacy Jayne the captains of Team NXT while TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella named new TNA Knockouts Champion Kelani Jordan and Mike Santana the TNA team captains. Two matches were set up to determine members of the NXT teams, with Myles Borne defeating Josh Briggs and Lola Vice defeating Fallon Henley.

In the final segment, the teams were officially named. For the men, Starks, Borne, Trick Williams, and Je’Von Evans of NXT will take on Santana, Frankie Kazarian, Moose, and Leon Slater of TNA. For the women, Jayne, Vice, Sol Ruca, and Jaida Parker of NXT will take on Jordan, The IInspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay), and Mara Sade (the former Jakara Jackson) of TNA.

The final moments of the show inevitably broke out into yet another interpromotional brawl as Shawn Michaels appeared in front of the crowd smiling, watching the chaos unfold.

A new match was set up on Tuesday when Mustafa Ali made his first appearance in NXT since his release from WWE in 2023. He told Page about the time that he had earned a North American title match, only to get released nine days before the match took place at NXT No Mercy 2023. He told Page he had talked to Ava and would see him next week. The segment ended in a brief brawl, with Ali dropkicking Page out of the ring.

NXT/TNA Showdown (October 7, CW)

  • TNA vs. NXT Survivor Series men’s match: Team NXT (Ricky Starks, Trick Williams, Myles Borne, and Je’Von Evans) vs. Team TNA (Mike Santana, Frankie Kazarian, Moose, and Leon Slater)
  • TNA vs. NXT Survivor Series women’s match: Team NXT (Jacy Jayne, Sol Ruca, Jaida Parker, and Lola Vice)  vs. Team TNA (Kelani Jordan, The IInspiration, and Mara Sade)

  • NXT North American title: Ethan Page defends against Mustafa Ali

Report: WWE NXT duo could appear on main roster

Chelsea Green & Ethan Page’s NXT pairing could potentially be coming to the WWE main roster.

WrestleVotes reported today that “several” people in WWE would like to see Green & Page appear together on SmackDown in the near future. Inspired by their shared Canadian heritage, the Green & Page duo formed during the build to NXT Heatwave. That event took place this Sunday with Green & Page defeating Tyra Mae Steele & Tavion Heights in a mixed tag bout.

“Hearing several within WWE would like to see the current pairing of Chelsea Green & NXT North American Champion Ethan Page appear on SmackDown in the near future, as their chemistry on NXT TV has impressed many,” WrestleVotes tweeted. “Additionally, some believe this newly minted Canadian faction would quickly establish Page as a key player.”

Green and her Secret Hervice members Piper Niven & Alba Fyre are already members of the SmackDown roster, while Page is the current NXT North American Champion. Following his departure from AEW, Page debuted for NXT in May 2024 and had a nearly three-month reign as NXT Champion last year.

We know Shawn Michaels is a big fan of the Green & Page team, with the NXT boss recently praising them in an interview with Undisputed.

“Ethan Page and Chelsea Green, to me, are two of the most enjoyable people that I watch on television,” Michaels said. “Whether Chelsea’s on a main roster show or she’s on ours, I just get a kick out of her. She’s fantastic and a hard worker. With Ethan Page, it’s the same thing.”

WWE NXT live results: Santino Marella challenges for North American title

On NXT tonight, Santino Marella has a chance to win his first WWE gold in 13 years.

The 51-year-old Marella is challenging Ethan Page for the NXT North American Championship on tonight’s show. It’s a match that was set up last week when Marella confronted Page, who had just introduced a Canadian flag-inspired design for the North American title belt. Marella said the title deserves to be held by someone with dignity, honor, class, and pride.

Marella is currently an on-screen authority figure in TNA Wrestling with the title of Director of Authority.

A couple of women’s division matches have also been announced for tonight with Lash Legend vs. Fallon Henley and Jaida Parker vs. Jazmyn Nyx scheduled to take place. Legend and Parker are both angling for a title shot against NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, who now also holds the TNA Knockouts Championship as well.

Join us for live coverage starting at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

**********

The show opens on a somber note with a ten-bell salute to Hulk Hogan, while members of the NXT roster stand in the ring and at ringside. A music video tribute to Hogan follows the ten-bell salute. After that is an early commercial break.

Back from the break, a recap highlights the previous episode of NXT, which sets the stage for tonight’s card. Opening the show is a women’s match.

Jaida Parker vs. Jazmyn Nyx (with Fallon Henley and TNA Knockouts & NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne)

Parker pinned Nyx after a running hip attack. Nyx got some offense, but Parker made an impressive comeback. The result was a coordinated push of Parker to set her up to challenge Jayne in a title match. The match itself was largely good as Parker looked strong.

Jaida Parker defeated Jazmyn Nyx

— Je’Von Evans passes by The High Ryze at the start of a backstage skit, and Evans clowns on them. Evans then meets Chase U on Evans’ way to the ring for a monologue. Andre Chase is telling Kale Dixon and Uriah Connor to essentially take the bulls by the horns. That would lead into a later skit with Hank & Tank.

Confrontation sets up Wes Lee vs. Je’Von Evans for later tonight

Evans begins with a monologue, where he begins by talking about getting advice from Undertaker last week. Evans is going after the biggest dog in the yard.

Out comes TNA World Heavyweight Champion Trick Williams in jeans that sparkle bright. The biggest dog has arrived, and he offers advice not to tug on Superman’s cape or try Trick Williams. That leads to Evans saying he was not talking about Trick when he calling out the biggest dog in the yard. Instead, Evans was talking about NXT Champion Oba Femi.

High Ryze soon interrupts to interject in the conversation. Playing off the skit from earlier, Wes Lee is flanked by Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe. Lee has Trick’s back, and Lee cuts a promo on Evans. There is some bickering back and forth before Evans responds by decking Lee. Outnumbered, Evans is jumped by High Ryze and Trick. This sets up a singles match tonight with Lee against Evans. Lee and company stand over a prone Evans.

— In a comedy skit, Uriah Connors and Kal Dixon have chairs in hand outside the locker room of NXT Tag Team Champions Hank & Tank. They intend to rush in and attack Hank & Tank, and they barge in. Instead of an assault, there is a comedy where Hank says all they had to do was ask. In comes Andre Chase, who is apologetic as he did not mean for his students to attack with chairs. This all was mildly funny, but more importantly, it sets up a tag title match for next Tuesday on NXT.

Charlie Dempsey vs. Tavion Heights

Heights pinned Dempsey after a belly-to-belly suplex. In winning, Heights can now leave No Quarter Catch Crew.

The match goes through a commercial break, and it was very good as well. Wren Sinclair was again at ringside, and she teased tossing in a the towel once more. She ultimately didn’t, and Heights made a comeback after Dempsey is working a leg.

Double down as the show cut to commercial. After the break, Dempsey targets the leg. Heights’ leg is smashed in the ring steps. Dempsey then goes to work with a half crab. Heights eventually hulks up into a comeback. He fights back and gets a near fall with a small package. Moments later, Heights counters Dempsey to execute a belly-to-belly suplex. Heights then covers Dempsey for a pinfall. Heights in now free to leave No Quarter Catch Crew.

Tavion Heights defeated Charlie Dempsey

— Trick William instructs High Ryze to finish off Je’Von Evans. In exchange, High Ryze wants Trick to use his pull to get them a tag team title match. Up walks Santino Marella, who chides Trick for thinking he was pull. Marella is the stroke in TNA. But do not worry about that, Marella says as he takes off his TNA badge. Tonight, Marella is a WWE superstar looking to win the NXT North American title. Marella also does his gimmick where he mispronounces the name of Ethan Page.

— Blake Monroe is heading to the ring for a monologue.

Blake Monroe promo turns to chaos

Monroe first cuts a promo on Booker T for mispronouncing her name last week. Monroe then shifts to cutting a promo on Jordynne Grace.

Monroe shows a picture on the big screen of Grace working as an extra, with Monroe chiding Grace’s appearance. Monroe then shows a recent picture, and she makes a crack at Grace about needing a gym membership instead of a title match.

Monroe then insists she herself is championship material. Monroe shows photos of her modeling days.

Lola Vice interrupts Monroe’s monologue, and Vice cuts a promo on Monroe. Vice talks about representing WWE in AAA and dancing with Nikki Bella at Evolution, instead of talking selfies in the locker room (which is a dig at Monroe).

Out next to interrupt the interruption is Jaida Parker. She cut a great promo about not chasing clout, she is chasing the championship.

Jordynne Grace’s music blares, but out comes Kelani Jordan instead. Not the “Jordan” you were expecting, Jordan says with a smirk. Jordan also says to expect the unexpected in WWE. Jordan hen proceeds to cut a promo on Monroe. Jordan basically challenges Monroe to a match.

Monroe accepts the challenge by threatening to put Jordan in a “local medical facility” next week. Monroe headbutts Jordan, which ignites a huge brawl. Vice and Jordan send Monroe and Parker packing, and Monroe begs off by hugging Parker, who shoves Monroe away.

— In a backstage skit with The Culling, Shawn Spears informs Tatum Paxley she has a title match next week against NXT North American Champion Sol Ruca. The Culling will be in Paxley’s corner to ensure she wins the title.

Lash Legend vs. Fallon Henley (with Jazmyn Nyx and Jacy Jayne)

Much of the match is overshadowed by a main roster run-in, as Nia Jax attacks Legend. When he fight spills outside the ring. Nyx tries to interfere, but Legend knocks her down with a punch. Legend also thwarts interference from Jayne, as Legend drops Jayne with a pump kick. Suddenly, Jax ran in to attack Legend from behind.

At a random point during the match, an image of Joe Hendry flashes across the screen. This would also happen in a later match on the card.

A stunned Legend is then rolled into the ring, where Henley executes a Rocker Dropper (famouser). Henley then covers Legend for a three count.

Fallon Henley defeated Lash Legend after interference by Nia Jax

In a post-match attack, Jax furthers her assault on Legend. Jax does a Bonsai Drop on Legend after the match.

— Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura get into an argument backstage, and they were separated. Stacks chimes in and gets slapped by Inamura. This sets up a match for next week with Inamura against Stacks.

Je’Von Evans vs. Wes Lee (with High Ryze)

TNA Champion Trick Williams is ringside for guest commentary.

They wrestle through a commercial break, and they had a great match. Big dive by Lee over the ropes to the floor before the commercial break, which leaves the babyface in peril. The high-flying action continues after the show returns from the break, and the bacyface fights back.

In the highlight of the match, Evans goes coast-to-coast with a flying dropkick as Lee is tied in a tree-of-woe. Great near fall when Evans delivers a frog splash on Lee. The finish came soon after as they go home.

Interference by Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe, but they are thwarted after a dive by Evans. Lee hits his finisher, but Evans gets a toe on the middle rope to break the hold. The idea allows Lee to save some face as he hooked Evans leg too much, which causes it to make contact with the rope. Regardless, the hold is broken.

For the finish, Evans delivers two cutters. The last cutter includes a double springboard off the ropes. Evans then covers Lee for a pinfall. Best match on the show by far.

Je’Von Evans defeated Wes Lee via pinfall

— Vic Joseph sits down with Myles Borne, who tells his emotional story of overcoming serious health conditions as a baby. Borne addresses Lexis King, accusing him of stirring the pot. Borne showcases his positive mental attitude as he describes his battles as a child on a ventilator, where he lost 90% of his hearing. Borne talks about how he could read lips to help understand people. Borne then dismisses King and tries to block him out.

— In a corresponding skit after a commercial break, Lexis King cuts a promo in Ava’s office. King again accuses Borne of faking his deafness. This sets up a match between Kind and Borne for next week on NXT.

— The Fatal Influence trio bicker in a TMZ-style interview. Suddenly, Nia Jax hijacks the interview to cut a promo on Lash Legend. Jax says Legend does not measure up.

NXT North American Champion Ethan Page vs. Santino Marella

Marella with a series of near falls at the start of the match, but Page escapes. The match also includes another mysterious video clip of Joe Hendry.

Heat spot as Page works over Marella. Fighting back, Marella does an airplane spin. Double down from there, and both are seemingly out. They rise and Marella counters Page’s finisher. Marella tries to rally, but he is dropped by a kick.

Page off the top rope with an attempted splash, but Marella gets his knees up. Comeback by Marella and he is firing up. Plancha by Marella, and he rolls Page back into the ring. Out comes The Cobra, but Page uses the referee to shield him. The ref is shoved aside. With the ref’s back turned, Page pokes Marella in the eye. Page then delivers a Twisted Grin, and Page covers Marella for a three count.

Ethan Page defeated Santino Marella to retain the North American title via pinfall.

— Closing the show is a skit with Tony D’Angelo seated at a restaurant. The cliffhanger is Tony D is seemingly being attacked when the show goes off air.

Santino Marella challenging for WWE NXT gold

TNA’s director of authority will challenge for an NXT title next week.

Wrestling under the WWE banner for the first time since a brief cameo in the 2020 women’s Royal Rumble match, Santino Marella will take on Ethan Page in an NXT North American Championship match on the Tuesday, July 29 NXT TV.

Page unveiled a new customized version of the North American Championship on this week’s episode, with a Canadian flag strap. Page strongly put over his Canadian heritage and denounced the United States in a promo on Tuesday’s live episode in Houston.

Marella interrupted and threw out a challenge for next week.

The TNA authority figure’s full-time in-ring career ended after leaving WWE in 2014, but Marella has wrestled sporadically for TNA and on the independent scene in the years since. 2025 has been his most active in-ring year since 2014, including appearances for MLP, AAA, TNA, and on the indies.
