AEW Dynamite video highlights: Cody responds to Brodie Lee

A dog collar match for the TNT Championship is on for next week’s Dynamite.

Cody responded to Mr. Brodie Lee in an in-ring interview on last night’s show. The two then had a massive pull-apart.

AEW World Champion Jon Moxley successfully defended his title in the main event of the show, defeating The Butcher.

FTR retained their AEW World Tag Team titles in the first title match of the evening, using underhanded tactics to defeat the SCU duo of Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky. 

Dr. Britt Baker made her in-ring return on Dynamite, defeating Red Velvet. 

Ricky Starks came up short in the show’s opener, as Darby Allin was able to walk away with a victory. 

After losing to Lee in a TNT Championship match last week, Orange Cassidy got some measure of revenge by defeating 10 from The Dark Order.

AEW Dynamite video highlights: Parking lot fight

Best Friends defeated Santana & Ortiz in a brutal parking lot fight in the main event of last night’s AEW Dynamite.

After the win, Trent’s mom Sue showed up in her van to take Trent, Chuck Taylor, and Orange Cassidy home.

FTR defeated Jurassic Express in the show opener. FTR relied on an assist from manager Tully Blanchard to score the pinfall win over Jungle Boy.

Hangman Page defeated Frankie Kazarian in singles action. Kenny Omega joined the commentary desk for the match. Omega teased a singles run rather than teaming with Page again.

Dynamite featured a bunch of promos from some of the best talkers in the game as MJF, Eddie Kingston, Jake Roberts, Taz, and Jon Moxley all worked the microphone.

Taz’s clients, Brian Cage and Ricky Starks, attacked Moxley before Will Hobbs made the save.

AEW Dynamite video highlights: Fyter Fest night two

Night two of AEW Fyter Fest was headlined by Chris Jericho vs. Orange Cassidy, but it was the eight-man tag team match that stole the show.

The Lucha Brothers, The Butcher & The Blade teamed up to defeat The Young Bucks & FTR in a memorable clash. 

On almost any other night Jericho and Cassidy would have a rightful claim to match of the night honors after a strong main event match that saw Jericho defeat Cassidy with a Judas Effect. 

Fyter Fest night two also featured a strong opener as Kenny Omega & Hangman Page retained their AEW World Tag Team Championships with a win over Private Party.

AEW Dynamite video highlights: Fyter Fest night one

Hikaru Shida defeated Penelope Ford last night at Fyter Fest to retain her AEW Women’s World Championship in arguably the match of the night. 

This was a strong outing from both women and probably the best match of Ford’s career. 

Two other title matches also highlighted night one of Fyter Fest.

Kenny Omega & Hangman Page retained the AEW World Tag Team titles last night. They defeated Best Friends to keep their championships as well as their 2020 undefeated tag team records. Omega & Page will defend their titles again next week at night two of Fyter Fest against Private Party. 

Cody retained the TNT Championship with a win over Jake Hager. Hager had Cody locked in an arm triangle, but Cody flipped over into a cover to score the pinfall victory. The match also saw Hager’s wife Catalina, Cody’s manager Arn Anderson, and Cody’s brother Dustin Rhodes get involved before the finish.

AEW Dynamite video highlights: Orange Cassidy gets his revenge

The AEW World Tag Team Championship match participants for Fyter Fest were decided on last night’s Dynamite. 

The main event saw Best Friends defeat Sammy Guevara & Chris Jericho to retain the right to challenge for the tag belts at Fyter Fest. Additionally, Orange Cassidy got revenge on Chris Jericho and a match between the two was announced for Fyter Fest. 

Kenny Omega & Hangman Page defeated Dustin Rhodes & QT Marshall in the Dynamite opener to retain the AEW Tag Team titles. 

It was a busy night in the tag division as The Young Bucks took on Kip Sabian & Jimmy Havoc, while FTR and The Butcher and The Blade got involved in a brawl with the other teams after the match. 

Cody also retained his TNT Championship with a win over the debuting Ricky Starks.

AEW Dynamite video highlights: Cody’s first TNT title defense

Two title matches headlined last night’s AEW Dynamite. 

In his first TNT Championship defense, Cody retained with a win over Jungle Boy in the main event. Kenny Omega & Hangman Page also retained the AEW Tag Team titles in a victory over Jimmy Havoc & Kip Sabian in the opener. 

The show also saw Jon Moxley go face-to-face with his Fyter Fest opponent Brian Cage and Cage’s manager Taz. 

FTR participated in a sit-down interview with Tony Schiavone on the show.

AEW Dynamite video highlights: Tyson confronts Jericho, FTR debut

Playing off a forgotten angle from Monday Night Raw more than a decade ago, Mike Tyson and Chris Jericho were involved in a pull-apart angle on last night’s AEW Dynamite. 

Jericho called an end to The Inner Circle’s pep rally and demanded Tyson’s head be delivered to him on a platter. Tyson then entered with an entourage. 

Dynamite was also notable for the long-awaited AEW debut of FTR. Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler saved The Young Bucks from an attack at the hands of The Butcher and The Blade. 

The next challenger for Jon Moxley’s AEW World Championship made his Dynamite debut as Brian Cage defeated Lee Johnson. Taz then called out Moxley in a strong promo segment. 

Jungle Boy won a number one contender’s battle royal for a shot at the TNT Championship. Earlier on the show, Cody cut a promo discussing the importance of the TNT title and issued a weekly open challenge for the championship. 

In the women’s division, new AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida had her first match since winning the title, while Britt Baker addressed her injury status and her recovery timetable.

AEW Dynamite video highlights: The Young Bucks & Page return

Wednesday’s edition of AEW Dynamite saw the final build to Double or Nothing as Jon Moxley took out 10 of the Dark Order and The Young Bucks and Hangman Page returned to the show to back up Kenny Omega and Matt Hardy against The Inner Circle. 

After Hardy defeated Sammy Guevara in the main event of last night’s show, Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Santana, and Ortiz attacked Omega in TIAA Bank Field. The Bucks then appeared in the stands and made the save for Omega. Page then made his return, sprinting the length of the football field to aid The Elite. 

Moxley defeated 10 in the show’s opener and proceeded to pin his arm in a chair, attacked it with another chair.

Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara defeated Matt Hardy and Kenny Omega in a street fight on last night’s Dynamite. The match spilled from Daily’s Place into the adjoining TIAA Bank Field. 

Also on the show, AEW Champion Jon Moxley’s next challenger was set when Brodie Lee and The Dark Order attacked the champ. 

Jake Roberts responded to a verbal attack from Brandi Rhodes with a familiar weapon. Cody, meanwhile, defeated Joey Janela in a tune-up match. Shawn Spears also questioned where Cody’s current loyalties lie. 

AEW Women’s World Champion Nyla Rose returned to action on Dynamite and put the rest of the women’s division on notice. 

MJF also made his Dynamite return on Wednesday and responded to his critics.
