Ric Flair & Mike Tyson sue cannabis company for alleged embezzlement scheme

Mike Tyson & Ric Flair are teaming up together in court.

The New York Post reported on Tuesday that the WWE Hall of Famer and boxing legend filed a lawsuit in Illinois accusing executives Chad Bronstein, Adam Wilks, and Nicole Cosby of former cannabis licensing company Carma HoldCo Inc. of criminal wire fraud, money laundering, extortion, and securities fraud. They are seeking $50 million in damages.

“Throughout their time at CARMA, Bronstein and Wilks treated CARMA as their own personal piggy bank, using more than $1 million to pay for unauthorized personal travel on private jets, costs associated with Bronstein’s personal yacht, renovations to Bronstein’s personal residence, a mortgage payment for Wilks’ personal residence, and lavish entertainment expenditures for Wilks, including exorbitantly priced meals and travel expenditures, as well as excessive and unapproved compensation and bonuses,” the filing obtained by the Post said.

Wilks denied the allegations in a statement.

“These claims are as credible as the people they come from — in short, the allegations are without substance,” Wilks’ attorney Terry Campbell said. “This is nothing more than an attempt to spit out an earful of salacious headlines and attempt to coerce my client into paying money to them when he did nothing wrong.”

Bronstein and Cosby’s attorney, Jonathan Cyrluk, also denied the accusations in a statement.

“The complaint is fiction dressed up as a lawsuit. Before filing, the plaintiffs tried to intimidate my clients with settlement demands that read more like a shakedown than a legal claim— demanding millions of dollars and attempting to force others to surrender their Carma shares. My clients won’t be bullied and are prepared to knock out this meritless lawsuit in court,” the statement reads.

Carma HoldCo previously filed a lawsuit against Bronstein after he had left the company, accusing him and Cosby of stealing the “Real American Beer” concept featuring Hulk Hogan.

Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather agree to future fight

Yes, you read the above headline correctly: Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather have agreed to a boxing match.

However, details are still a bit light. The exhibition fight is set to occur in the spring of 2026 but the location has yet to be determined. How people can watch is also unclear.

CSI Sports, “a multimedia company that acquires, produces, distributes, and broadcasts fight related content weekly in the U.S. and international markets,” is promoting the event. The company has previously acquired the rights to HBO boxing events in addition to the Tuesday Night Fights series that used to air on USA Network that now air on their Fight Sports network in addition to other combat sports, American Ninja Warrior and other content.

The 59-year-old Tyson famously fought and lost to Jake Paul last November on Netflix — his first bout in nearly 20 years. The 48-year-old Mayweather last fought professionally in 2017, defeating UFC star Conor McGregor. However, he fought nearly his entire undefeated career at welterweight (140-147 pounds) which is a far cry from Tyson’s heavyweight range.

Since then, Mayweather has fought in exhibitions against current WWE star Logan Paul, kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, former sparring partners, and YouTubers.

Former ESPN executive John Skipper, former HBO PPV executive Mark Taffet, and former Showtime PR head Chris DeBlasio all have joined the CSI Sports group with the promise of an impending “multi-event global media streaming and broadcast partnership that will launch with this event.”

Report: Undertaker, Mike Tyson in talks to appear on Indian reality show

The Undertaker is reportedly set to take part in a popular reality show in India.

Bigg Boss, hosted by actor/producer Salman Khan, is entering its 19th season and features celebrities living together in a house while being filmed 24 hours a day. Contestants are eliminated through tasks, nominations, and audience votes.

According to multiple Indian outlets, including The Times of India, Undertaker is expected to be one of three wildcard entries this season. The show began filming in Mumbai on Friday, and it is rumored Taker will stay in the house for between seven and ten days.

Another WWE Hall of Famer, Mike Tyson, has also been rumored as a potential wildcard entrant. Bigg Boss has not officially confirmed either name.

The Great Khali was previously a wildcard entry on the show’s fourth season in 2010. He advanced to the finals before finishing as runner-up to actress Shweta Tiwari.

Mike Tyson to appear at WrestleCon convention in Las Vegas

One of the most famous combat sports athletes of all time is set to appear at WrestleCon’s convention in Las Vegas.

Boxing legend Mike Tyson is the first talent confirmed for the convention, which is taking place at the Westgate Resort & Casino from April 17-20 during WrestleMania week. WrestleCon has not announced which days Tyson will be appearing. This marks the first time he’s been a guest at WrestleCon.

“We told you Vegas was going to be big! Our first of ~200+ talent announcements will deliver a knock out,” WrestleCon tweeted. “Welcome for the first time @MikeTyson to @wrestlecon courtesy of @FitermanSports”

A celebrity WWE Hall of Famer, Tyson’s association with the pro wrestling industry dates back decades. His most famous wrestling role came at WrestleMania 14 in 1998 when he served as the special enforcer for the main event match between Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels. Tyson has made a couple of AEW appearances in recent years.

In November 2024, the 58-year-old Tyson returned to boxing, losing to Jake Paul in a spectacle that was broadcast on Netflix.

WrestleMania 41 is taking place from Allegiant Stadium on Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20. It’s only the second time Las Vegas has ever hosted WrestleMania.

Jake Paul defeats Mike Tyson as Netflix experiences major streaming issues

On a night marred by Netflix buffering issues and poor streaming quality, Jake Paul did what many expected and defeated the legendary Mike Tyson in an eight round boxing match on Friday in Arlington, Texas.

Paul won the fight on the judges’ scorecards by counts of 80-72, 79-73 and 79-73.

The bout itself was devoid of any firefights between the two or even signature moments. The 58-year-old Tyson, who fought with a knee brace on his right leg, slowed as the fight went on as did Paul. The crowd responded in kind, booing in frustration as the fight developed.

Perhaps the bigger story of the night were the issues the streaming giant had starting with the Amanda Serrano vs. Katie Taylor co-main event rematch. Users on social media complained loudly about experiencing problems with buffering, unavailable video, and the video quality itself — a narrative Netflix didn’t want to deal with as their NFL Christmas Day games approach in addition to the launch of WWE in January.

However, it should be noted that the amount of viewers worldwide for the Tyson vs. Paul fight was considerably more than the NFL or WWE are expected to garner. During his post-fight promo, Paul referenced 120 million viewers but that is unverified as of this writing.

Tyson declined to announce his retirement with Jake’s brother Logan Paul offering to fight Tyson next which the legend quickly agreed to.

The rules were eight two-minute rounds with 14 ounce gloves, four ounces bigger than for usual heavyweight fights.

The fight between Tyson (50-7) and the 27-year-old Paul (11-1) was first announced in early-March for late-July, but was pushed back due to Tyson suffering ulcer complications in June.

Perhaps the most viral moment of the night was Tyson doing a backstage interview, walking away, and showing his bare buttocks in an unintended moment of hilarity.

It was Tyson’s first fight of any kind since a November 2020 exhibition boxing bout with Roy Jones Jr. which was preceded by a 15-year-gap of inactivity.

New date announced for Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul boxing match

The much-discussed Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul boxing match on Netflix will now take place on Friday, November 15th after needing to be rescheduled due to a recent Tyson medical issue.

The event will still emanate from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, with the same Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano co-main event rematch.

The decision to move was announced last week following Tyson suffering what was called ulcer complications after boarding a flight. It was stated that Tyson’s doctors instructed him to take it light on training for a period of time that caused concern due to the timeframe in which the July 20th fight was originally set to take place.

The fight between the 58-year-old Tyson and the 27-year-old Paul was first announced in early-March. It will be Tyson’s first fight of any kind since a November 2020 exhibition boxing bout with Roy Jones Jr. which was preceded by a 15-year-gap of inactivity.

Mike Tyson’s ulcer flare-up causes Jake Paul boxing match to be postponed

One of the most anticipated sports spectacles of the summer is being postponed due to, of all things, an ulcer.

On Friday night, it was announced that the July 20th boxing match between legend Mike Tyson and social media sensation turned fighter Jake Paul is being moved back due to a well-publicized ulcer flare-up Tyson suffered on a plane trip recently.

Despite feeling fine afterward, the 58-year-old Tyson was reportedly advised to only do minimal-to-light training in the weeks ahead which didn’t work with his timeline ahead of the clash with the 27-year-old Paul.

The fight will still air on Netflix and will still emanate from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, with a new date promised by next Friday.

Tyson vs. Paul was first announced in early-March to much surprise. It will be Tyson’s first fight of any kind since a November 2020 exhibition boxing bout with Roy Jones Jr. which was preceded by a 15-year-gap of inactivity.
