TNA Impact live results: Oba Femi/Moose confrontation

Ahead of their impending title vs. title match this Tuesday, TNA X-Division Champion Moose and WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi will have a face-to-face confrontation on tonight’s Impact.

Tonight will also feature Elijah, the former Elias in WWE. Elijah aligned with TNA World Champion Joe Hendry after making his surprise debut and will take on Brian Myers of The System in his singles debut.

In a non-title match, TNA Tag Team Champions The Hardys will face Eddie & Orlando Colon who recently debuted.

Ahead of her title defense against NXT’s Cora Jade at Sacrifice, Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich will share some thoughts.

The Northern Armory (Eric Young, Judas Icarus & Travis Williams) will take on The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz) & Ace Austin in trios action.

Mike Santana will go one-on-one with John Skyler of the Good Hands.

AJ Francis and KC Navarro will return with another First Class Penthouse interview segment while Savannah Evans takes on Xia Brookside.

Elijah defeated Brian Myers

The recap package for last week’s show airs to get things started, and then the “Cross The Line” intro video and theme plays. Inside the Impact Zone, Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt welcome us to this week’s edition of TNA Impact.

Elijah’s theme hits and out comes the newest addition to the men’s roster in TNA for scheduled opening action. He settles inside the squared circle and his music dies down. We then hear “Trust The System!” and the theme for Brian Myers hits. Out he comes accompanied by Alisha Edwards.

As soon as the bell sounds, Elijah charges across the ring and blasts Myers with a big shot that decks The System member. Myers tries rolling to the floor and calling a timeout as Elijah rolls out after him. Instead, Elijah blasts him with a big chop in front of Alisha.

He puts Myers on the ring apron and drapes his head over the edge of the apron. From the floor, he picks his head up and slams it down on the corner of the apron. And again. He backs up, runs and leaps, blasting Myers with a hip-attack similar to Roman Reigns’ “Drive By” spot.

Back inside the ring, Myers begins to shift the offensive momentum into his favor. This doesn’t last for long, however, as Elijah takes back over and eventually hits his finisher for the pinfall victory. After the match, The System hits the ring to attack Elijah.

Joe Hendry’s theme hits and out comes the TNA World Champion to make the save, running off The System. Hendry and Elijah stand tall in the ring staring down The System as they head up the entrance ramp to wrap up the eventful post-match scene.

Gia Miller Interviews Ace Austin & The Rascalz

Backstage, Gia Miller is standing by with her guests at this time, Ace Austin and The Rascalz duo of Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz. Austin says he knows they are still unsure how much they can trust each other heading into TNA Sacrifice 2025.

He says they practically grew up in the business together and references some past interactions and instances that proves they can trust each other. The Rascalz vow to beat down Wes Lee and his wannabe Rascalz duo of Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe.

“Smoke ’em if you got ’em!” ends the brief backstage interview segment. The show heads to the first commercial break of the evening.

First Class Penthouse with AJ Francis & KC Navarro

When the show returns, First Class duo AJ Francis and KC Navarro make their way out for the second installment of their new talk show segment, First Class Penthouse. Francis says the streets are still talking about the debut edition of First Class Penthouse.

Francis says they have a special guest tonight. “The Prize Fighter KO!” He then reveals it was a joke and that he was referring to KC Navarro. K-N-O. For KC N-avarr-O. Out comes Steve Maclin out of nowhere, who hits what will no doubt be the line of the evening, as he calls AJ Francis “The Temu Suge Knight.”

Francis asks if people want to see the two of them fight tonight. Francis says give him 30 minutes to get his gear on and then he’s gonna kick Maclin’s ass. Maclin tells him, “Take your 30 minutes, big boy!”

Savannah Evans defeated Xia Brookside

Back to the ring for the second match of the evening, which will be one-on-one action contested in the TNA Knockouts division. Savannah Evans makes her way to the ring first and settles inside. The “American Pie” soundtrack-sounding entrance tune for her opposition hits, and out comes the bubbly Xia Brookside.

The bell sounds and the match gets officially off-and-running. The much larger Evans immediately charges across the ring in a hurry, looking to bum-rush Brookside and attack her while she was off-guard. Instead, Brookside, seemingly with a sixth-sense, noticed Evans coming and side-stepped her.

Brookside gets the early offensive jump on Evans, taking it to her much larger foe as the fans inside the Impact Zone cheer her on. Rosemary is shown watching on from the rafters. Evans ends up cutting Brookside’s offensive run short and taking over, slowing the pace down.

Evans makes one misstep, and Brookside capitalizes, securing a tarantula-style submission while hanging off the body of her opponent. Brookside hits a big move coming off the ropes for a close two-count, but then Evans started to come to life. She launched Brookside into the corner but missed a follow-up splash.

She goes for a running knee drop on Brookside on the mat, but Brookside rolls out of the way just in time. Brookside, distracted while dealing with a potential injury, gets blasted from behind by Evans with one stiff shot that turns her inside-out. Evans quickly follows up with the pin fall for the win. The show heads into another commercial break.

Mike Santana defeated John Skyler (w/ Jason Hotch)

When the show returns, a digital segment airs showing Ash and Heather by Elegance being given a rude awakening by Spitfire duo Jody Threat and Dani Luna. They dress them up like goth girls in their style and give them chores to do as their personal concierges.

After the video package wraps up, the show returns inside the Impact Zone, where John Skyler of the rebranded Great Hands duo with Jason Hotch makes his way to the ring cutting a promo about Mike Santana being “street trash.” Sounds familiar.

The hip-hop theme for Santana hits and out comes the fan-favorite for one-on-one action against Skyler in the next match of the evening. Santana enters the ring and the bell sounds to get things started.

Skyler gets the early jump on Santana, but fans chant his name and he fires up and begins taking over, running over Skyler with repeated clotheslines and then hitting a Three Amigos suplex sequence in an homage to Eddie Guerrero.

This gives Hannifan a good chance to plug TNA Sacrifice in El Paso, TX, where the Guerrero name is legendary. He mentions Chavo Guerrero Jr. will be there. Literally seconds later, Santana finishes off Skyler for a very quick and easy victory.

Once the match wraps up, Hotch tries attacking Santana from behind, but he avoids it and takes out The Great Hands member with his Spin The Block finisher. Santana notices the hammer that Hotch was about to use as a weapon on him. Fans chant for him to use it.

As he contemplates doing exactly that, he notices Mustafa Ali on the big screen with Tasha Steelz by his side. He calls Santana an animal and mentions how TNA is, as it should be, a safe working environment. He says it’s time for Santana to submit to a random urine screening.

Out comes someone in a suit with a cup and a lid, which he hands to Santana, presumably to “provide his sample.” Santana takes it and shakes his head. “This dude’s got me bugging, bro,” he says off-mic to end the post-match scene. The show heads to another commercial break.

AJ Francis (w/ KC Navarro) defeated Steve Maclin

When the show returns, the First Class entrance tune hits and out comes AJ Francis, accompanied by KC Navarro. The duo head to the ring together, where Francis is scheduled for one-on-one action in a match that was set up during the First Class Penthouse segment earlier in the show.

The familiar sounds of Steve Maclin’s theme song hits next and out comes the “Bulletproof” one himself. The bell sounds to get things started. Maclin takes the early offensive lead. The crowd is strongly behind him as he works over the First Class leader.

Francis ends up killing Maclin’s early momentum, stifling a big spot he tried in the corner. From there, Francis completely takes over on offense. He hits running knees to a seated Maclin on his way out to the floor, where he stands alongside Navarro and does their chant. “Money! Money! Money!”

Back in the ring, Francis eats a shot from Maclin. Maclin hangs Francis upside down in the tree of woe in the corner. He runs over and knocks Navarro off the apron when he tries interfering, and then runs and spears an upside down Francis. He looks for the K.I.A., but Francis avoids it and takes over.

Francis has Maclin by the throat when out of the blue, The Northern Armory duo of Travis Williams and Judas Icarus run out and hop on opposing sides of the ring apron. Francis capitalizes on the distraction and lays out Maclin.

The commentators bring up how The Northern Armory clearly seemed to be trying to help Maclin. Eric Young appears at ringside. Maclin comes out and tells Young he doesn’t need or want their help. He heads back into the ring, where Francis hits his Down Payment chokeslam finisher for the win.

Ryan Nemeth In Tears Over Nic Nemeth, Matt Hardy Face Time Call

The digital exclusive segment with Matt Hardy, Joe Hendry and Elijah discussing the members for their team in the scheduled ten-man tag-team match against The System and The Colons at TNA Sacrifice 2025 airs.

Ryan Nemeth wants on Hendry’s team. Hardy doesn’t. He calls Nic Nemeth, who pushes for his bro, but ultimately accepts that no one likes him. Nic tells Hardy to just please let him be the one to break the news to his brother.

Hardy tells him his brother has been listening. The others notice Ryan Nemeth fighting back tears. They ask if he’s going to cry. Ryan storms off in an emotional huff. The show heads to another commercial break.

Steve Maclin Confronts Eric Young & The Northern Armory

When the show returns, Steve Maclin catches up with Eric Young and The Northern Armory backstage and confronts them over them essentially costing him his match against AJ Francis.

Young tells him they did it for his own good, and had he not gotten distracted, it would have worked out. Maclin tells Young he trusts him, “but not this,” while pointing to The Northern Armory duo of Travis Williams and Judas Icarus. Young tells Maclin to “open your eyes and let the truth guide you.”

Maclin goes to walk off, but bumps into Frankie Kazarian. Kazarian, who looks like he borrowed an outfit from Seth “Freakin'” Rollins closet, is holding his Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy and taunting Maclin, who gives him one fair warning before walking off.

Fraxiom Sends A Message To The Hardy Boyz

Footage is shown of TNA World Tag-Team Champions The Hardy Boyz and WWE NXT World Tag-Team Champions Fraxiom having a showdown in the ring earlier this week on WWE NXT to promote their title tilt at WWE NXT Roadblock 2025.

When it wraps up, a backstage segment with Fraxiom airs. Nathan Frazer and Axiom talk about their upcoming title tilt with The Hardy Boyz and make it clear they will be keeping a close eye on their match later in tonight’s show against The Colons.

Oba Femi, Moose Go Face-To-Face Ahead Of WWE Roadblock 2025

The WWE digital exclusive video airs showing TNA X-Division Champion Moose of The System talking about his showdown against WWE NXT World Champion Oba Femi at WWE NXT Roadblock 2025. Moose vows to leave with the WWE NXT title and become the face of the franchise.

Back live inside the Impact Zone, the familiar sounds of Oba Femi’s theme hits and out he comes, with the crowd doing his entrance chant routine. He settles inside the squared circle for his advertised face-to-face meeting with Moose.

The System theme hits and out comes Moose and his goons. He stops and motions to someone in the back. On that note, a bunch of security make their way out and accompany him to the ring.

Inside the ring, Oba Femi and Moose each tell the story of how they first heard about the other, while vowing to be the one to take out the other and prove they are the true dominant Nigerian force in the pro wrestling business.

The two end up in a wild brawl, where it is revealed that the “security” Moose brought with him were just paid goons in street clothes. They all jump Femi when it first appeared they were just trying to separate the two. Regardless, Femi ends up firing up and clearing house in an impressive sight.

Eric Young & The Northern Armory (Travis Williams & Judas Icarus) defeated Ace Austin & The Rascalz (Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz)

Back inside the Impact Zone, the familiar sounds of Eric Young’s entrance tune hits the house speakers. Out comes the TNA Wrestling veteran along with his partners for this scheduled six-man tag-team contest, The Northern Armory duo of Travis Williams and Judas Icarus.

The ABC theme song for their opposition hits and out comes Ace Austin. The Rascalz’ music plays after that and the team of Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel head to the ring to a strong reaction from the fans inside Full Sail University.

After the bell sounds, things get started with a bang in this one. Things settle into Young and The Northern Armory in a comfortable offensive lead as the show heads into a mid-match commercial break. When the show returns, Wentz is isolated in the ring and being beaten down.

The crowd rallies behind Wentz, who eventually fires up and takes over, shifting the offensive momentum into his team’s favor. He tags in Miguel, who picks up where he left off. Wes Lee makes his way out. Wentz hits a big dive to take him out, but the distraction sets Young up for the piledriver for the win.

Mike Santana Approaches Santino Marella Backstage

Backstage, Mike Santana is holding his pee cup when he approaches TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella. He brings up all that he’s been through to get clean, including his meetings that the company has shown on TNA Impact, etc.

He asks if this pee test is really what they’re going to do to him. Santino says Mustafa Ali went above his head to the Anthem management. “I’ve got a boss, too,” Marella tells him. He says to just do it, prove him wrong, and get this whole thing behind him. Santino walks off.

Santana overhears Tasha Steelz scolding some regular Joe for not bringing the right kind of coffee for Ali. She tells him the correct kind and sends him off to get it. Santana stops him and tells him not to let anyone talk to him like that.

He then takes the cup and says he’ll handle it for him. He heads into the bathroom with Ali’s coffee cup as the show heads to another commercial break.

TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich Addresses Cora Jade

When the show returns, a second digital style segment airs showing the latest update of Spitfire duo Jody Threat and Dani Luna forcing their personal concierges, Ash and Heather by Elegance, to do tasks.

This time they are shown in the gym. When they leave, there is an incident with a janitor, who ends up being George Iceman in disguise. He tells Ash and Heather, who laid out Spitfire, “It’s me! Let’s get out of here!”

Inside the Impact Zone, reigning TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich makes her way down to the ring. She gets on the microphone and addresses Cora Jade. She tells the WWE NXT Superstar when she steps into the ring with her at TNA Sacrifice, it’s not going to be a match, but a fight.

She says it’s a fight she’s not going to walk out of, because Slamovich is built different. Cora Jade’s theme hits and out she comes with a microphone in-hand. She tells Slamovich all she hears is someone who knows their title reign is coming to an end.

Slamovich tells Jade she’s gonna expose her as someone who is not a real fighter. After she does, as Slamovich is staring down Jade at ringside from inside the ring, she is attacked from behind by Tessa Blanchard. Jade enters the ring to help out.

As Blanchard and Jade are beating down Slamovich in two-on-one fashion, the theme for Lei Ying Lee hits. Out to the ring comes Blanchard’s scheduled opponent for TNA Sacrifice 2025. She makes the save for Slamovich and runs off Jade and Blanchard.

Mustafa Ali’s Day Just Got Worse

Backstage, Mustafa Ali sees Tasha Steelz and asks her for an update. She tells him the coffee was delivered, but wasn’t right, so she sent the guy back out to get it. He says he doesn’t care about that and asks about Mike Santana’s drug test.

Steelz says she just spoke with Santino and unfortunately, Santana’s drug test came back negative, so he passed it. Ali is upset and says they’ve got to find a way to get him to take another drug test or something.

She hands him his coffee and after he takes a sip, he clearly knows what he just drank, so he rushes Steelz away to avoid further embarrassment. On that note, the show heads into another commercial break.

The Hardy Boyz defeated The Colons via Disqualification

It’s main event time!

But first, Hannifan and Rehwoldt introduce a quick video that runs down the advertised lineup for next week’s TNA Sacrifice 2025 “go-home” show (see below). Ryan Nemeth then comes out and announces that his big brother is coming back in eight days.

The Colons duo of Eddie and Orlando Colon make their way down to the ring. The iconic sounds of the theme music for The Hardy Boyz hits and out comes the reigning TNA World Tag-Team Champions for the main event of the evening.

The Full Sail crowd gives Matt and Jeff Hardy a huge reaction coming out. The bell sounds and things get underway in this, the tag-team main event of the evening. Matt Hardy kicks things off for his team coming out of the gate, establishing the early offensive lead over The Colons.

He plays to the crowd as the show heads into a mid-match commercial break. When the show returns, Hardy is still dominating the action, taking it to Eddie until Orlando makes the save for his brother. This leads to an offensive shift in momentum.

The Colons begin to enjoy their first prolonged run of offensive control. Matt is isolated in the ring and controlled for a few minutes, but ultimately, Jeff gets the much-needed tag and begins taking over. As The Hardy Boyz take their shirts off and look to finish things off, The System hit the ring for an attack.

The referee throws the match out. Joe Hendry’s theme hits and out comes the TNA World Champion to make sure The Hardy Boyz aren’t unfairly attacked in an outnumbered situation. As Joe Hendry, The Hardy Boyz and Leon Slater and Elijah, who also ran out, stand tall in the ring.

As The System and The Colons do the same outside of the ring, TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella’s theme hits. The shot-caller in TNA announces that the ten man tag-team match between the two teams of five at TNA Sacrifice 2025 will now be contested inside of a steel cage. That blockbuster announcement is how this week’s show comes to an end.

Cora Jade match stopped on WWE NXT due to injury

A match was stopped on NXT following an injury to Cora Jade.

During Tuesday’s show, Jordynne Grace and Jade were wrestling when Grace took Jade into the corner. Jade told the referee something as Grace backed off. Soon after, the referee stopped the match. Announcer for the night Lilian Garcia then announced that Jade was unable to continue, and Grace was awarded the victory due to referee stoppage.

Later, Jade posted on social media that her knees are all good, and ‘got rocked for a sec’ during the match.

Jade spent most of 2024 injured after suffering a torn ACL during a NXT live event that January. She returned in October, helping Roxanne Perez retain the NXT Women’s title against Giulia. Most recently, she took part in a fatal four-way match for the NXT Women’s title at Vengeance Day where she came up short against new champion Giulia in a match that also featured Perez and Bayley.

In recent weeks, Jade had been making appearances in TNA, building to a match between herself and Masha Slamovich for the TNA Knockouts title at their Sacrifice event on March 14. Slamovich was seen in the crowd during Tuesday’s match.

First matches signed for TNA Sacrifice, both feature WWE NXT talent

The first two matches are set for TNA Sacrifice on March 14, both featuring talent from WWE NXT.

As revealed during Thursday’s live TNA Impact, Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich will defend against WWE NXT’s Cora Jade at Sacrifice.

Jade appeared on Thursday’s live Impact in a sneak attack on Slamovich, with authority figure Santino Marella later making the title bout official for the Friday, March 14 TNA Plus special.

A six-man tag team match will also take place at Sacrifice, with NXT’s Wes Lee, Tyson Dupont, and Tyriek Igwe teaming against The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel) and Ace Austin. Wentz and Miguel defeated Dupont and Igwe in tag team action on Thursday’s show, with Lee and Austin ringside. Lee issued the challenge for the match at Sacrifice which was later officially announced.

A Knockouts Tag Team match with Spitifre’s Jody Threat and Dani Luna defending against Ash by Elegance and Heather by Elegance was also hinted at on the show, but TNA has yet to officially add it to the Sacrifice card.

Nic Nemeth’s return from his storyline suspension for hitting Marella with a superkick will also end at Sacrifice as the former World Champion announced he will be making his comeback on the show.

TNA Impact live results: Joe Hendry defends the World title

Joe Hendry will put his TNA World title on the line for the very first time on tonight’s Impact.

After defeating Nic Nemeth at January’s Genesis, Hendry will defend against Jake Something who is looking for his first TNA title of any kind.

After winning a battle royal last week to earn a title shot, Savannah Evans will get her opportunity at Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich. Evans has yet to hold TNA gold while Slamovich is gunning for her sixth title defense.

NXT’s Cora Jade will go one-on-one with Xia Brookside in her effort to go 2-0 in TNA.

After Judas Icarus & Travis Williams turned on Josh Alexander and aligned with Eric Young, Young and Alexander will go to battle in a clash of former TNA World Champions.

The show will feature the returning Mustafa Ali holding a town meeting.

Sami Callihan will face Frankie Kazarian, and Ash & Heather by Elegance will be in tag team action to round out the card.

Joe Hendry (c) defeated Jake Something to retain the TNA World Championship

The show kicks off with a bang this week. After the usual recap video package opener, the show settles inside the Impact Zone in San Antonio, TX. Opening up the show will be the first TNA World Championship defense of Joe Hendry.

Jake Something makes his way down to the ring first, after securing his spot by challenging Joe Hendry during his concert last week. Hendry’s viral theme plays next and he makes his way out with the gold, leading fans in the side-to-side wave as he settles inside the squared circle.

McKenzie Mitchell is shown in a close-up shot as she handles the final formal pre-match ring introductions for the challenger and the champion. Hendry flashes the cheesy smile upon hearing his name, and fans break out in their first “We Believe! We Believe!” chant.

The title is held up by the referee, and the bell sounds to start things off. The crowd immediately does the “We will rock you!” stomp-stomp-clap routine, without being led by Hendry to do so. The two lock-up and the bigger Something muscles the champ into the corner.

After another lock-up, Hendry’s arm is isolated, but he drops down, flips and pops up to escape. He turns and glares at Something with a smirk on his face. They lock up again and Something grabs a side headlock. Hendry shucks him into the ropes, but is shoulder blocked down twice.

Something runs into a knee-lift from Hendry that sends him out to the floor pounding the mat in frustration. Hendry then hoists Something up upon reentering the ring, executing his trademark stalled suplex spot, eliciting another “We Believe! We Believe!” chant. Hendry goes for a cover, but only gets two.

Something starts to land big shots on Hendry after he gets up, including a short-arm lariat that sends him to the mat. He does the thumb throat-slicing gesture, but Hendry surprises him with a counter slam for another two-count. The show heads into a mid-match commercial break as the action continues.

The show returns to Something pounding Hendry across the back with a big forearm shot that sends him to the mat wincing in pain. Something blasts him with another before leaning him over the ropes and chopping the hell out of him. Hendry comes off the ropes with a sunset flip for a two-count.

Hendry tries another one, but Something pops up and turns Hendry into a battering-ram-style short-arm clothesline for a two-count of his own. Fans try and rally behind Hendry with chants, but Something taunts them and continues to beat down the champion.

Hendry fights back and hits a fall-away slam for a two-count. He pops up and does the “We will rock you!” stomp-stomp-clap routine to bring the crowd to life in the background. Hendry looks for his Standing Ovation finisher, but Something blocks it and takes back over again.

After hitting a couple of big man moves on the champion, Something tried heading to the top-rope, only for Hendry to cut him off. Hendry climbed up after him and hit a super-fall-away slam. He does the “We will rock you!” crowd-play some more and then hits his one-armed Standing Ovation for the win.

Nic Nemeth Accidentally Lays Out Santino Marella

As soon as the bell sounds, we hear a voice talking. “My brother is not going to be happy about this match.” Ryan Nemeth pops out and babbles more about how his brother will not approve of this as he joins Hendry in the ring.

Santino Marella’s theme hits and in the distraction, Something blasts Hendry. Nic Nemeth runs out and as Santino tries talking, Nemeth accidentally takes out Santino with a super kick intended for Something.

Hendry recovers and sees Santino down. He checks on him and then turns and looks at Nic Nemeth standing behind him with confusion. The show abruptly heads to another commercial.

When the show returns, Nemeth is shown backstage apologizing to Santino, with his brother Ryan echoing his words behind him. Santino ends up suspending Nic for four weeks and telling him to leave it at that before he “presses-the-charges.”

Nemeth apologizes and walks off. Ryan assures his big bro that he’ll hold things down for the Nemeth’s in his absence.

TNA Unbreakable 2025 Coming On April 17 In Las Vegas, NV.

When the show returns, a promotional trailer airs to announce TNA Unbreakable 2025 for the Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nevada during WrestleMania 41 Week on April 17.

Ash & Heather By Elegance (w/ George Iceman) defeated King Bees (Charity King & Danni Bee)

George Iceman is shown inside the Impact Zone with “an important message.” He introduces Ash and Heather By Elegance, who come out in their Texas-appropriate gear as cowgirls.

They settle in the ring where their opponents, the King Bees duo of Charity King and Danni Bee, are already waiting for them. The bell sounds and Heather works over Charity. Danni tags in, but so does Ash, and the Elegant duo hit a double team spot to settle into a comfortable lead.

Heather tags back in as the crowd is loudly booing in the background. Ash hits a Glam-Slam and the two hit a double dropkick. Ash goes for the cover, but only gets two. Iceman is audibly heard on the broadcast yelling at the loud negative crowd in the background to “Shut up!”

Ash and Bee yank each other down to the mat face-first by the others’ hair, leading to both crawling to their respective corners to make the tag. The fresh teammates for each come in, however it is Charity who settles into a big offensive comeback for the King Bees.

She tags Danni back in, and then hoists Heather up on her shoulders. Heather escapes and Ash yanks Charity out to the floor, slamming her into the steel steps. Heather hits a high spot to the other half of the King Bees off the ropes for the victory.

After the match, the Elegant duo gives the King Bees an unwanted makeover, which brings out TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Champions Spitfire. Jody Threat and Dani Luna settle in the ring and Ash and Heather by Elegance quickly exit the ring and retreat.

The Hardys & Leon Slater Show Mutual Respect

Footage is shown of Leon Slater and The Hardys in action on last week’s show. Backstage, Leon Slater is on the phone gushing about it when The Hardys approach him. They share mutual respect and admiration and talk about their passion for the business at young ages.

Slater says he hopes to work with them again. The Hardys tell Slater it’s good to see him and guys like Joe Hendry with the same passion they had at their ages. Jeff Hardy praises Slater for his Swanton 450 on last week’s show.

Slater says if The Hardys believe in him, he won’t let them down. They hug it up and the segment wraps up on that note. Hannifan runs down some action still to come on the show, and then things head into another commercial break.

Mustafa Ali Town Hall Meeting

When the show returns, Mustafa Ali is shown with The Great Hands, John Skyler and Jason Hotch, as well as Tasha Steelz, for his special “Town Hall Meeting.” He talks about the company needing a great leader.

He says he is that great leader and the rightful number one contender for the TNA World title. He asks for all those in favor to say “I.” Tommy Dreamer walks up to Ali and Ali thinks Dreamer considers himself the real leader.

Ali says if not him then who. Dreamer says “him” and points to Mike Santana. Steelz interjects and insists there are no more questions at this time.

Frankie Kazarian defeated Sami Callihan

Inside the Impact Zone, Frankie Kazarian emerges with his Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy. He heads to the ring for the next match of the evening. He settles inside the ring and his music dies down.

Sami Callihan’s theme hits next but instead of him simply walking out, he comes flying out all beat to hell. Out behind him comes Mance Warner and Steph De Lander, who is still toting the TNA Digital Media Championship she “won in the divorce” from PCO.

They leave Callihan laying, but he stumbles his way down to the ring anyways and insists the referee ring the bell. The referee doesn’t want to, but does. Callihan surprises Kazarian with a stunner. He looks for his finisher, but Warner comes back out. The distraction allows Kazarian to secure a chicken wing for the win.

After the match, Callihan stumbles over and mumbles into a microphone while still barely conscious that he wants Warner to come to the ring so they can finish fighting. Warner obliges, but security rushes and breaks things up. Callihan breaks free and rushes Warner again. Security separate them again.

Josh Alexander With A Message To Eric Young Ahead Of Their Final Battle

Backstage, Gia Miller is standing by with “The Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander. She mentions how he has agreed to one final match in TNA Wrestling tonight against Eric Young.

Alexander says it’s a shame the last match he has is a fight against someone like Eric Young that he drove up and down the road with for seven years. He tells Young he doesn’t have to like him, but he’s going to make sure his last time out there that he does respect him.

Alexander says he loves this place but it’s time for his actions to speak louder than his words, and he’s going to do that tonight. Hannifan runs down the remaining lineup for tonight’s show and then the show heads into another commercial break.

JDC Gets Under Leon Slater’s Skin

The show returns to footage of JDC representing TNA on WWE NXT in a Heritage Cup match. Backstage, JDC confronts Leon Slater, who is on the phone again.

He tells him The Hardys told him all wrong earlier. He tells Slater he didn’t do that well last week. Slater points out they won. He says Slater is making a career off of potential without any substance.

He’s seen a million people like him. He keeps calling him kid and Slater loses his cool and shoves him. The two are broken up as Slater calls for a fight with no rules.

Cora Jade defeated Xia Brookside

Inside the Impact Zone, the American Pie soundtrack-sounding theme music for Xia Brookside hits and out she comes in her white cowboy hat. She settles inside the ring to a nice pop from the San Antonio crowd.

The theme for her opponent hits and out comes WWE NXT Superstar Cora Jade. The bell sounds and Jade hops up and puts her feet on the top-rope while leaning back. The two finally engage and Jade goes to work isolating the arm of Brookside.

Brookside rolls, flips and escapes. She then hops up with her feet on the ropes and taunts Jade with her own signature move. Brookside hits a monkey-flip to Jade out of the corner. Jade rolls out to the floor to regroup.

Back in the ring, Jade fakes an injury. She draws the sympathy of the referee and uses it to blindside Brookside with a sneak attack. She settles back into a comfortable offensive lead over Brookside and then begins taunting her and the crowd.

Jade begins looking to try and put Brookside away. Each time Brookside kicks out, Jade lets out a frustrated scream. She cranks back on both arms behind Brookside’s back. Brookside starts fighting back, knocking Jade down with clotheslines off the ropes.

Brookside drops Jade with a big kick in the corner. She backs up to the opposing corner, charges at Jade and blasts her with the Broken Wings double-knees for a two-count. Brookside puts Jade on the top in the corner, looking for her finisher, but Jade has it well-scouted and kicks her way free.

Jade gets Brookside’s arms under-hooked, looking for Jaded, but Brookside also has her opponents finisher well-scouted, and avoids it. Moments later, however, Jade hits it anyways and gets the three-count for the win. The show heads into another commercial break.

Santino Marella Loses Cool Dealing With Tessa Blanchard

When the show returns, backstage we see Arianna Grace approaching Tessa Blanchard, who talks down to her. Santino Marella walks up still upset from being kicked. He tells Tessa to chill before he loses his cool.

He tells her she’ll have a match next week or there will be consequences. She starts down-talking him until he pounds the wall and yells again that she’ll either have a match next week or there will be consequences. She walks off.

The Rascalz Call Out Wes Lee, Tyson & Tyriek

Inside the Impact Zone, The Rascalz make their way down to the ring. They waste no time talking about their issues with the wannabe Rascalz of Wes Lee, Tyson and Tyriek. They call them out and call them a “b*tch.”

Wes Lee comes out with a microphone in-hand and Tyson and Tyriek by his side. They say they have no problem coming down and beating them up. They begin to do so until Ace Austin’s theme hits.

Austin joins The Rascalz in beating down the NXT trio until they eventually take over and triple-team each guy one-by-one. The Rascalz nearly fight back from underneath until Lee blasts them from behind with a double low-blow.

The NXT trio hold Austin and Lee blasts him with a Cardiac Kick. Hannifan runs down the remaining lineup and the show heads into another commercial break.

AJ Francis Teases First Class Upgrade

Footage is shown of Savannah Evans earning her title shot against Masha Slamovich for the TNA Knockouts Championship on last week’s show.

Backstage, First Class duo AJ Francis and KC Navarro claim to have a big announcement. They say it’s time they upgrade TNA. They say it’s time for a First Class upgrade in TNA from the outhouse to the penthouse.

Why? Because, of course, if you ain’t First Class, you’re last. The commentators question what could be next for First Class.

Masha Slamovich (c) defeated Savannah Evans to retain the TNA Knockouts Championship

Inside the Impact Zone, Savannah Evans’ theme hits and she makes her way to the ring fresh off of her No. 1 Contender Battle Royal victory on last week’s show. She settles in the ring and awaits the arrival of the defending champion.

Out comes reigning TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich in a leather coat and black sunglasses, looking like a female Terminator. She settles inside the squared circle as well. McKenzie Mitchell is shown on-camera again for her formal pre-match ring introductions for this championship contest.

Slamovich’s reign has lasted 110 days thus far, as Hannifan points out on commentary as the bell sounds to get things started. They lock up and Evans muscles Slamovich into the ropes. The commentators talk about Evans having the strength and power advantage in this one.

Slamovich turns Evans in the corner and blasts her with some forearm strikes. Evans blasts her back with an open-palm strike that sends her to the mat. Slamovich fights back and hits the ropes to build up momentum, using all of her force to knock Evans down to the mat for the first time.

Evans fights back and blasts Slamovich with one single vicious shot that sends her crashing and burning out to the floor. Evans hoists Slamovich up and hits a choke-bomb onto the hard part of the ring apron.

Back in the ring, Evans builds on her lead as Tessa Blanchard is shown watching on backstage. After some more back-and-forth action, Slamovich hits her finisher and picks up the victory to retain the TNA Knockouts Championship.

Eric Young defeated Josh Alexander

It’s main event time!

After matches are announced for next week’s special live episode of TNA iMPACT from Full Sail University (see lineup below), the show switches gears and the stage gets set for the main event of the evening. The final match on the show will be the TNA farewell of former world champion Josh Alexander.

Eric Young makes his way to the ring first, and then “The Walking Weapon” makes his way out for his final showdown in the place he has called home for seven years. The bell sounds and the two get after it. Young takes the early offensive lead.

Young looks to work over the leg of Alexander in the corner, but Alexander begins fighting back and into the offensive lead. Alexander works over Young for the next couple of minutes until The Northern Armory duo of Williams and Icarus provide a distraction at ringside.

The distraction allows Young to take over. As he settles back into a comfortable offensive lead, the show heads into a mid-match commercial beak as the action continues in the ring. When the show returns, Young is shown still easily handling Alexander.

Young puts the boots to Alexander in the corner, and then begins to clearly focus his offensive attack on the twice-surgically-repaired neck of “The Walking Weapon.” Alexander tries fighting back, but Young cuts his comeback attempt short and feeds him to the wolves at ringside.

The Northern Armory duo of Williams and Icarus sneak in some cheap shots on Alexander on the floor outside of the ring, and then Young slaps a rear chin-lock on Alexander and cranks away while putting all of his weight on him on the mat.

Alexander begins fighting back again. He hoists Young up and hits a rolling senton. He drops Young on the back of his neck and covers him for a close two-count. He pops right back up and slaps an ankle lock on Young. Young makes it to the ropes, forcing the hold to be broken.

Once again Young uses The Northern Armory to his advantage to take over. He follows up with a top-rope elbow drop. He immediately covers Alexander afterwards, but only gets a two-count. Alexander’s signature head-gear was knocked off in the last few moments.

Alexander fights back and hits a Styles Clash on Young. He follows up with a cover of his own, but also only manages to get a count of two. Young breaks Alexander up to the top-rope. He literally hoists him upside down, looking for a top-rope piledriver.

Alexander breaks loose and slaps an ankle lock on Young on the mat. He transitions into a Boston crab. The Northern Armory gets involved again, but this time Alexander sees it coming. Alexander gets Young in an ankle lock, but again The Northern Armory hop on the apron.

Alexander lets the hold go to deal with them, but then turns around into a cheap shot from Young with the head-gear. Young follows up with a piledriver and covers Alexander for the win, beating “The Walking Weapon” in Alexander’s TNA farewell match.

Young celebrates his win with The Northern Armory as Hannifan talks on commentary about the significance of Alexander to TNA. Young leaves the ring and the camera shows Alexander down and out in the ring. The Northern Armory follow Young up the ramp and that is the final shot as this week’s show comes to a close.

Cora Jade added to WWE NXT Vengeance Day title match, card finalized

The Women’s title match at Vengeance Day is now a four-way following Tuesday’s episode of WWE NXT.

Cora Jade defeated Bayley on Tuesday’s show, and after the contest was added to Saturday’s Vengeance Day four-way for the NXT Women’s Championship by genera manager Ava. Giulia will now defend against Bayley, Roxanne Perez, and Jade. It was a distraction from Perez dressed as Bayley’s former NXT character that allowed Jade to score the upset victory.

An NXT Tag Team title match, plus a strap match have also been added to Saturday’s card.

NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom will defend against Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura in a new match announced during Tuesday’s episode.

A strap match with Trick Williams vs. Eddy Thorpe was also made official for Saturday’s lineup. Thorpe attacked Williams with a strap last week, then issued a challenge that Williams accepted during Tuesday’s show.

The finalized card for WWE NXT Vengeance Day which streams Saturday, February 15 at 6 p.m. Eastern time on Peacock in the United States and on Netflix in most of the rest of the world:

  • NXT Champion Oba Femi defends against Grayson Waller and Austin Theory in a triple threat match
  • NXT Women’s Champion Giulia defends against Bayley, Roxanne Perez, and Cora Jade in a four-way

WWE NXT live results: Vengeance Day go-home show

With Vengeance Day just four days away, WWE NXT presents a new episode tonight.

Bayley has a chance to become NXT Women’s Champion on Saturday when she faces Giulia and Roxanne Perez in a triple threat match. Tonight, it will be Bayley vs. Cora Jade in one-on-one action. Jade — who also has her eyes on the NXT Women’s title — attacked Bayley with a kendo stick last week.

Gold will be on the line tonight when Tony D’Angelo defends his North American Championship against Ridge Holland inside of a steel cage. The Heritage Cup is also set to be contested with Lexis King defending against TNA star JDC — the former Fandango.

Josh Briggs & Yoshiki Inamura vs. Hank Walker & Tank Ledger vs. Tavion Heights & Myles Borne has been announced for tonight as well. It has title implications with each team looking for a shot against NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer & Axiom.

Plus, WWE will follow up on Eddy Thorpe’s attack on Trick Williams that closed last week’s show.

– Vic Joseph welcomed everyone into the show. Tony D and his family were shown walking in the parking lot. Ditto for Ridge Holland. Back in the PC, Bayley made her entrance for the first match.

Cora Jade defeated Bayley [10:36]

The commentary team wasn’t exaggerating when they said this was the biggest victory of Jade’s career, but umpf, they had a bumpy road getting there. I expected a lot more from these two, but we all have a bad night here and there, so, well, life moves on. Missed spots aside, the women worked hard and Jade’s victory packed a punch because of how predictable it felt that Bayley would win heading into the triple threat at Vengeance Day. That said, the late addition of Jade to Saturday’s match justifies this upset and then some. Perez and Bayley showed good fire in their limited brawling. So much so that I almost prefer a singles match between the two this weekend, but perhaps they are saving that for ‘Mania weekend. Time will tell.

Jade tried to jumpstart the match, but Bayley ducked the attack and the action spilled outside. Bayley held control and went for a dropkick, leaping between the bottom rope and the mat, but Jade was a little out of place and Bayley barely connected. Back inside the ring, Jade gained the upper hand briefly, but Bayley came right back with a series of elbows for a two-count. Bayley landed a knee and Jade rolled to the outside. Bayley followed up with a dive through the ropes. As Bayley celebrated landing the dive, Jade attacked her and went on the offensive. Jade hit a series of strikes and with Bayley down in the middle of the ring, the show went to a commercial break.

The show returned and Bayley hit a type of cutter and the two brawled for a short time before Bayley hit a Bayley-To-Belly, but it only resulted in a near-fall. Bayley followed up with a series of clotheslines and a double-knees to Jade’s midsection. Bayley suplexed Jade for another near-fall. Bayley tried a Sunset Flip, but kind of missed and Jade sat on her for a pin attempt. Bayley caught Jade as Jade lunged at her and then slammed Jade for a two-count. Bayley went to the top, but Bayley’s old theme music hit and Roxanne Perez walked out in old school Bayley gear.

Bayley went to ringside and attacked Perez. Jade followed her out and hit a double underhook DDT on the floor. Back in the ring, Perez hit another one, and that was good enough to get Jade the win. Giulia was shown watching backstage and Ava walked up to her to whisper something. Soon after, Ava walked to the ring and announced that Saturday’s triple threat for the NXT Women’s Championship will now be a Fatal Four-way, including Jade. Jade and Perez hugge and Bayley attacked them both to end the segment.

– Zaria and Sol Ruca were shown talking in the locker room. Nikkita Lyons walked in and confronted them, saying one win doesn’t make Zaria and Ruca a tag team. Lyons challenged Zaria to match later tonight.

The Oba Femi/A-Town Down Under segment

Please. If nothing else. Please. I beg you, Shawn Michales, pull the trigger on the Theory and Waller break up this weekend. If there’s anything to come of this excursion back down to NXT for Waller and Theory, it should be a definitive split for those two. We’ve been waiting for months. We’ve been begging for months. I plead with you, man: End the madness. Anyway, this segment was fine. The heels showed good fire, though I can’t say I’m a fan of Femi taking a beating from these two. In some ways, he just seems above it. Then again, you have to keep the story moving going into this weekend’s PLE, and one way to do that is to have the guy take a beatdown. So it goes.

Femi started by reminding everyone who he will be defending his NXT title against on Saturday. Femi called it a handicap match because in Waller and Theory’s mind, they will gang up against The Ruler. Femi said it will be every man for himself and on cue, A-Town Down Under’s music hit. Waller and Theory walked out with microphones. Waller said he thought better of Femi than to try and turn Waller and Theory against each other. Theory said Waller never received his flowers in NXT. Theory said Waller has jumped off ladders and risked his career many times in NXT while other people like Carmelo Hayes and Tony D get all the credit. Theory called Waller a pillar of NXT. Theory then said Waller will help Theory become the NXT Champion on Saturday.

Waller said this weekend, Theory can ride shotgun after Waller wins the NXT title. Femi chimed in and asked them if they both thought they’d become NXT Champion. Waller fired up and said he’d do whatever it takes to win … and was then cut off by Theory, who said he was never NXT Champion. Theory was then cut off by Waller, who said nobody cares about the things Theory has accomplished. Theory noted how Waller has never had a singles title run in WWE. Waller brought up how he had the WWE Tag Team Championships in his hands at a ‘Mania. Theory fired back and said he’d do whatever it takes to win this weekend. Theory and Waller turned their attention to how they want to attack Femi on Saturday.

Waller told Femi his plan didn’t work tonight and there is nothing or nobody who will stop him from winning the NXT Championship. Waller dropped the microphone and walked away, but Theory pushed Waller, who tried to clothesline Theory, but Theory moved and Waller hit Femi. Theory and Waller then double-teamed Femi and Theory hit his finisher on Femi before Waller followed up with a rolling Stunner. Waller then picked up the title. Theory took it from Waller and Theory and Waller posed together to close out the segment.

– An Eddy Thorpe vignette aired. Thorpe challenged Trick Williams to a strap match at Vengeance Day.

– Footage of Ethan Page busting up Je’Von Evans from a couple months ago aired. A doctor came on the screen and said that while Evans is cleared to wrestle this weekend, if it goes wrong, Evans could be out for months. Evans was then shown talking to Ava in her office and Ava made Evans sign a waiver saying if anything bad happens to him at Vengeance Day, WWE isn’t responsible. Evans signed it right away.

Josh Briggs & Yoshiki Inamura defeated Hank Walker & Tank Williams and Tavion Heights and Myles Borne [12:08]

My God, this felt like I was covering AEW TV again, what with the nonstop action, the quick tags and my constant use of the three words, “things broke down.” I’m not complaining. This was a lot of fun and the right team went over. Briggs and Inamura have a weird momentum going for them and the last-minute tag title match is a solid addition to Saturday’s card. Axiom and Frazer are main roster-ready, so do we think this is the time they drop the belts? Probably not, but a loss backed with a solid performance this weekend could set up a better moment for Briggs and Inamura during ‘Mania weekend. In the meantime – and back to the match at hand – Hank and Tank deserve some credit here because they looked better than most everyone else involved. Kudos to those fellas.

Tank and Inamura started the match, but things broke down fairly quickly and Heights tagged himself in, lifted Hank and Borne tagged in. The two dropped Hank, but Tank quickly tagged in and things broke down between the teams. Before long, Tank hit a cartwheel and took out Briggs and Inamura. Borne tagged in and was disposed of to the outside quickly. Heights tagged in and Hank and Tank took down Heights. Hank and Tank squished Borne on the outside of the ring, but soon after back inside the ring, Heights slammed Hank. Axiom and Nathan Frazer were shown watching match from the Designated NXT Eagle’s Next. The show then went to a commercial break.

Back to from the break, Inamura tagged in and worked over Borne, complete with a spinning body slam. Briggs tagged himself in and took out Heights and Borne. Hank tagged in and things broke down between the six wrestlers again. “NXT!” chants broke out. Hank and Heights were left alone in the ring and they traded blows. Briggs gave the big boot to Heights and Hank. Briggs chokeslammed/powerbombed Hank and went for a pin, but it was broken up. Hank hit a splash on everyone, who was on the outside. Hank then slammed Briggs back inside the ring for a good near-fall. Bodies were everywhere and “This is awesome!” chants started.

Hank went to the top, but Briggs cut him off. Briggs set up for a chokeslam, but Hank worked out of it. Inamura tagged in and hit a huge splash on Hank, which was good enough to get his team the win. After the match, Frazer and Axiom spoke to the winners and said they could have a title match at Vengeance Day on Saturday.

– Tony D was talking to his family backstage and Stacks apologized for the way he’s been acting. D’Angelo forgave him, and, of course, said, “Forget about it!” The show went back to the ring.

Lexis King defeated JDC to retain the NXT Heritage Cup [9:39]

I’m not in the camp of people who blindly hate King for the sake of hating King, and in a lot of ways, I root for something – anything – to work for him … but it’s just not getting there. Bringing in JDC, who you can’t have a bad match with if you tried, was a smart move because the in-ring work wasn’t going to suffer, but even with that loyal NXT PC crowd, King seems to never receive any notable reactions, no matter what he does and no matter how hard he tries. The fact that we are now making Heritage Cup matches just a regular old match does nothing for me, either, because … well … why? How does this allow the prize to standout among the other belts on the brand? At this point, it’s just a prop and that’s kind of sad.

The action was slow to start. JDC eventually took control and chopped the hell out of King repeatedly. JDC went for a backslide, but King kneed JDC in the face and JDC went to the outside. King wiped himself down with a towel in a corner and JDC came back at him. JDC then clotheslined King over the top and to the outside and the show went to a commercial break.

The show returned and King had the upper hand. King went for a single-leg crab, but JDC worked out of it and chopped King a few times, only to have King ultimately work a single-leg crab. King went to work on JDC’s back, but JDC came back with a strong clothesline. JDC followed up with a Russian Leg Sweep and a Falcon Arrow for a two-count. King went to the outside and JDC landed a dive over the top. Back inside the ring, JDC hit a leg-drop from the top for a nice near-fall. JDC went back to the top, but King hit the ropes and JDC stumbled. King then hit The Coronation for the win.

– Ava was standing between Perez and Bayley in her office and the women were bickering. Perez was still in her Bayley gear and Bayley said it was the best she ever looked, called her an idiot and walked away. Jade walked into the office and said she’d win the women’s title this weekend and walked away. Perez said “over my dead body” as she stood there with only Ava.

– Fallon Henry was walking backstage and Kelani Jordan walked up and said Fallon has yet to face “this version of Kelani Jordan.” Jaida Parker appeared and said she has next. Ashante Thee Adonis walked in and said his girl Karmen is the one who should have next. Everyone bickered and the segment ended.

Zaria defeated Nikkita Lyons [2:47]

More of this for Zaria, please. She came in as a monster, but for whatever reason, the booking minds have cooled her off in the last handful of weeks. This was a nice semi-squash that could help re-establish her has a force of nature. Lyons, meanwhile, held her own, but less is more with her as she’s still a bit of a work in progress. This was inoffensive and quick. You can’t ask for much more than that when it comes to a match that was made earlier in the show.

Lyons hit a German Suplex early on and went to the second rope, but Zaria cut her off … until Lyons turned Zaria over with a head-scissors takedown. Zaria came back with a German Suplex and the match reset. The two hit a series of simultaneous clotheslines before Lyons landed a kick to take brief control. Lyons worked a Camel Clutch until Zaria stood up and slammed Lyons. Zaria ran right into a knee from Lyons, but Lyons missed a splash. Zaria speared Lyons and then hit her finisher for the win.

– An Ethan Page vignette aired.

– Trick Williams was interviewed in the Eagles Nest while the cage for the main event was being set up in the background. Williams officially accepted Thorpe’s challenge for a strap match at Vengeance Day. The commentary team then ran down the card for Vengeance Day … until Ricky Starks showed up in the crowd. And I can’t believe I just typed that. The crowd chanted “Ricky Starks!” and Starks said NXT needs an “absolute superstar of the future” and NXT needs “the hottest free agent right now.” Starks said he was there to turn the place upside down. Starks talked about the revolution being televised, hit his pose and left through the crowd.

– Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia were shown talking backstage briefly until Ridge Holland walked past them. From there, footage of the main event participants walking was shown. The show went to a break.

– Andre Chase was shown walking backstage and ran into Uriah Connors and Kale Dixon. They wanted to go out with Chase, but Chase said it was a school night. Chase reflected on the fact that Chase U is dead and walked away.

Tony D’Angelo defeated Ridge Holland to retain the NXT North American Championship [11:08]

A good television main event. It felt like some shenanigans were in the works once the entrances for it started about 20 minutes to the hour, but I like the Shawn Spears alliance. He’s been cold since coming over from AEW, so this is a nice way to heat him and his faction up. Holland ostensibly no-selling the defeat only to rush out of the cage and attack Stacks felt a little out of place, but Holland is going to need something to do coming out of this loss anyway, and he could worse than a program with Stacks. Despite no title changes this week, it was quite the newsworthy go-home show between Jade beating Bayley, Izzi Dame turning on D’Angelo and Ricky Starks showing up. Never a dull moment these days in the land of NXT.

D’Angelo got the better of things early, hitting a series of strikes and a suplex for a two count. D’Angelo went for a belly-to-belly suplex, but Holland eye-gouged his way out of it. D’Angelo ultimately flipped Holland into the cage and tried to follow it up with a splash, but Holland moved and D’Angelo went into the cage hard. The show went to its final commercial break of the night.

The show returned and Holland had control, complete with a strong clothesline for a two count. Holland went to the top and went for a splash, but D’Angelo moved. D’Angelo then threw Holland into the cage repeatedly. D’Angelo followed it up with a series of belly-to-belly suplexes. D’Angelo hit a Fisherman’s Suplex for a two count. D’Angelo ran right into a pump kick and a Snowplow from Holland for a nice near-fall. Holland sold disappointment in not getting the three count.

With both wrestlers on their knees, they traded elbows. There was a tiny bit of miscommunication before D’Angelo threw Holland into the cage and followed it up with a spear for another nice near-fall. Izzi Dame tried to throw a crowbar into the ring. Stacks stopped her and threw the crowbar into the ring himself. Holland and D’Angelo fought over the crowbar and Holland ultimately got possession of it. Holland hit D’Angelo in the head with it and covered him for a very good near fall. Holland jawed at D’Angelo and D’Angelo eye-gouged Holland before hitting him with the crowbar and his finisher for the win.

Aftrer the match, Holland attacked Stacks and some of the family. They brawled to the back and Shawn Spears showed up with his crew. D’Angelo jawed at them and Izzi Dame hit D’Angelo in the back of the knee with the crowbar. Spears and his faction worked over D’Angelo from there, with spears working D’Angelo over with a chair. With the cage door locked, Stacks and the D’Angelo family ran back out for the save, but couldn’t climb the cage before Spears suplexed D’Angelo onto a chair in the ring. A video package on past Vengeance Days aired to end the show – until one final teaser for the new faction aired to truly close things down.

Big Vinny V: TNA Impact recap with First Class vs. the Nemeth brothers

This week’s Big Vinny V Show recaps last Thursday’s edition of TNA Impact.

Former TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth appeared for the first time since losing the title at Genesis and his little brother immediately got him into trouble, running his mouth and picking a fight that didn’t need to happen. Things deteriorated from there.

Elsewhere, we got to witness NXT’s Cora Jade, ring general; Leon Slater vs. Brian Myers with the rest of The System making their presence known; Sami Callihan and Mance Warner kept fighting; Mustafa Ali, squared off with Laredo Kid in his first TNA match since July; Josh Alexander teamed with Eric Young against The Northern Armory but again only found disappointment; and NXT’s Wes Lee battled Ace Austin in an inter-promotional battle that I loved even if the live crowd didn’t.

TNA Impact live results: NXT’s Cora Jade & Wes Lee in action

The WWE NXT invasion of TNA Wrestling will continue on tonight’s Impact.

After confronting Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich at Genesis, Jade will make her TNA in-ring debut tonight against Hyan.

She will be joined by fellow NXT roster mate Wes Lee who will take on former X-Division Champion Ace Austin. Lee returned briefly last July as part of the initial NXT/TNA crossover.

For the first time since losing the TNA World title, Nic Nemeth will give his thoughts that will kick off the show.

After making his surprise return at Genesis, former X-Division Champion Mustafa Ali will take on former Digital Media Champion Laredo Kid.

Following his unsuccessful attempt to quit the company, Josh Alexander will team with Eric Young against Alexander’s former teammates The Northern Armory (Judas Icarus & Travis Williams).

Leon Slater vs. Brian Myers and a Sami Callihan promo directed toward Mance Warner and Steph De Lander rounds out the show.

The Nemeth’s & First Class Kick Off This Week’s Show

The show opens up inside the Impact Zone in San Antonio, TX. with Nic Nemeth’s entrance tune. McKenzie Mitchell is shown in the ring and she introduces “The Wanted Man” himself, who comes to the ring to kick things off.

“Genesis was a hell of a night for TNA. Unfortunately, it was not a great night for myself,” Nemeth begins. He makes no excuses. Joe Hendry was the better man, and now Joe Hendry is your TNA World Champion. He insists that isn’t a sob-story, and he makes it clear when one gets knocked down, they get up and do something about it.

He says so in 2025, that’s what he plans to do. As he tries continuing, he is cut off. “My brother is not happy with what happened at TNA Genesis,” says Ryan Nemeth, who comes to the ring and insists Nic got robbed, and that Hendry got lucky.

Ryan goes on to call Hendry a poser, a loser and a “two-pump chump.” He tells Nic he’s better, even if he’s too modest to say it. He vows 2025 will be Nic’s year and calls Hendry a fraud. Nic stops him. He thanks him for the kind words but again insists Hendry earned the win and the title.

“It’s not all doom and gloom, think about it,” Nic continues. He says he can go for the world title and he and Ryan can go for the tag-titles. He is interrupted by KC Navarro, who annoyingly repeats the phrase, “Pardon me?!” in obnoxious fashion.

AJ Francis begins, “Allow me to reintroduce myself, my name is …” well he didn’t continue with “HOV,” we can say that much. He says he’s not here to talk to Ryan, he’s here to talk to the Nemeth brother who actually matters. He mocks Nic’s plans to go for the world title.

Francis goes on to talk about his own end of 2024 and how since then, “Papa’s got a brand new bag,” another song rip-off, to boast about his new TNA deal. He says it’s a new era in TNA and it’s the “T-N-AJ-Francis Era.”

Ryan yells back, “Hey my brother does not deserve to be interrupted, my brother demands respect!” Nic goes on to tell First Class he doesn’t know who they think they are. Ryan cuts him off and says he and his big brother are going to fight them tonight.

TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella’s theme hits and he comes out to announce Ryan & Nic Nemeth vs. First Class in tonight’s main event. His theme hits again and just as fast as he appeared, he was gone.

Tessa Blanchard Punks Out Arianna Grace & Gia Miller

Backstage, Gia Miller is standing by with “The Liaison” Arianna Grace, when up walks Tessa Blanchard. Grace introduces herself to her in bubbly fashion. Blanchard tells her she doesn’t tell her what to do. Grace insists they’re on the same team.

Blanchard blasts her for playing dress up and having everything handed to her. Grace runs off crying. “That’s right, go,” Tessa taunts. She then tells Gia she’s not needed, punks her, takes her microphone and says, “Tessa Blanchard answers to nobody.”

On that note, Tom Hannifan and Matt Rehwoldt run down the advertised lineup for tonight as the match graphics flash on the screen. We then head to the first commercial break of the show.

Cora Jade defeated Hyan

When the show returns, the digital exclusive shared before the show, which features Cora Jade “big-timing” and getting into a pull-apart with Xia Brookside is shown. Jade was initially looking for TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich.

Inside the arena, Cora Jade’s theme hits and the WWE NXT Superstar makes her way to the ring for the first match of the evening. In the ring already is her opponent, Hyan. The bell sounds to get things started, and the two lock-up.

Jade takes the early control with ease. She hits a dropkick on Hyan and hops on the ropes to lay down and boast. She yanks Hyan down by her hair and then plays to the crowd again. She chokes Hyan over the middle rope and then hits a running elbow to her back.

She tries the same thing a second time, but Hyan moves. Hyan hits wasteland and goes for the cover, but Jade kicks out and takes over on Hyan in the corner, before hitting her Jaded finisher for the easy win. Jade beats Hyan down some more afterwards, prompting Xia Brookside to run out for the save.

Jade pretends to run off, and as Brookside turns to check on Hyan, Jade re-enters the ring behind her and hits Brookside with Jaded. Jade is standing tall admiring her dastardly deeds when the theme for Slamovich hits. The TNA Knockouts Champion runs to the ring, and this time Jade runs off for real, stopping briefly to wear Masha’s cowboy hat and taunt her from the ramp.

Gia Miller Interviews Wes Lee, Tyriek & Tyson

Backstage, Gia Miller is standing by with Wes Lee, Tyriek and Tyson. Lee guesses the question is “Why?” in reference to his actions towards his former partners, The Rascalz. He talks about his goal of being NXT Champion and mentions how Tyriek and Tyson are after tag-team gold.

Lee says it all starts tonight when he takes out “The Resident Magician that ya’ll have, Ace Austin.” The three walk off on that note and then the show heads into another commercial time out.

Santino Marella Served Papers & Makes An Announcement

When the show returns, Ash & Heather by Elegance are with George Iceman, who serves Santino Marella with papers from their lawyers. He complains about the Knockouts tag-team title match from Genesis and demands justice.

Santino tells them to relax and announces a battle royal for next week, where the winner earns a Knockouts title bout. He says they are both in it, as are these two who walk up, Spitfire.

Dani Luna and Jody Threat talk trash and get under the skin of the Elegant duo while also being announced for next week’s high stakes battle royal.

Brian Myers (w/ Moose, Eddie Edwards, JDC & Alisha Edwards) defeated Leon Slater

Inside the Impact Zone, The System’s theme hits and out comes the entire group for Brian Myers’ advertised match. Moose, Eddie Edwards, JDC and Alisha Edwards enter the ring with him and they all show off the rings they got each other.

The theme for Leon Slater hits, and out comes the promising young prospect to the ring. After a competitive early back-and-forth, Slater pulls ahead. With Myers on the floor, Slater hits the ropes to build up momentum for a dive, only for all of The System to stand in front of Myers and stop him.

Due to the distraction at ringside as Slater tried pursuing The System on the floor, Myers takes over on offense and brings the action back into the ring. Myers enjoys a few minutes in the offensive driver’s seat until Slater hits a big splash off the ropes.

After shifting the momentum into his favor, Slater goes on his trademark, fast-paced, explosive high-flying offensive showcase for his big comeback. He heads to the top but sees Myers standing, so he leaps over his head and lands on his feet, before blasting Myers and getting a close two-count.

Myers surprises an unsuspecting Slater with an enzugiri, before following up with an even bigger move for a close two-count of his own. The crowd bit on that as the finish. Myers backs into a corner and stalks Slater. He charges at Slater, who drops and rolls up Myers for a crafty two-count.

Slater hits a single leg dropkick that sends Myers to the floor. Slater plays to the crowd before building up a full head of steam. Once again his big dive tease is shut down. This time, however, Slater sprints towards the corner and hits a turning spiraling splash over the ring post to Myers on the floor.

On the floor, Slater dodges an attempted attack by Moose and Eddie Edwards, before blasting JDC on the apron with a big kick. Alisha Edwards slides one of The System’s bulky rings on Myers’ hand. Myers blasts Slater with it behind the referee’s back. He hits his finisher and gets the win.

Sami Callihan Attacks Mance Warner Backstage

Backstage, Mr. 23 himself, no, not Michael Jordan, but Mance Warner, is shown walking-and-talking with Steph De Lander, who still has the TNA Digital Media Championship.

Out of nowhere, Sami Callihan attacks Warner from behind. Hannifan says we’ll hear from Calliahan next. On that note, the show heads into another commercial break.

The System Taunts Leon Slater Backstage, The Hardys Defend Him

When the show returns, Leon Slater is being mocked by Frankie Kazarian. The System come in and do the same, telling Slater he can hold their rings or be their errand boy. The Hardys finally come up and defend Slater.

The System taunt them, calling Slater the English Hardy Boy. Matt Hardy insists Slater has star written all over him. He says next week, The G.O.A.T.’s will stand next to that man. The System say they’ll see them there.

Sami Callihan & Mance Warner Brawl Continues

Although we were scheduled to “hear” from Sami Callihan, instead we “see” him, as he emerges from the production arena next to the entrance area, still brawling with Mance Warner. Callihan beats Warner down at ringside and throws him in the ring. He grabs a baseball bat and heads into the ring with it.

Rehwoldt talks on commentary about Callihan’s questionable history with bats in TNA. Callihan blasts Warner with a steel chair and then places it over his head. He hoists his baseball bat up, but sees Steph De Lander coming down to the apron.

Callihan reaches over to deal with De Lander, who throws Warner the belt. Warner blasts Callihan with it. De Lander holds Callihan’s lifeless head up and Warner charges at him and blasts him with a knee strike. He taunts Callihan and then makes out with De Lander as the crowd boos.

Steve Maclin Warns Eric Young About Josh Alexander

When the show returns, Eric Young and Steve Maclin are talking backstage. Maclin warns Young about aligning himself with Josh Alexander. He says he’s not going to say, “I told you so.” He walks off. Young says, “I’ll be fine.”

Mustafa Ali defeated Laredo Kid

Inside the Impact Zone, the theme for Laredo Kid hits and out comes the popular masked wrestling star for the next match of the evening. He settles in the ring and then the theme hits to bring out Mustafa Ali as his opponent in what will be Ali’s first TNA match in six months.

The bell sounds and this one gets underway with Ali slowly circling Kid with an ear-to-ear smile on his face. The lock up and Ali grabs a headlock. He hits the ropes and shoulder blocks Kid down. He hits the ropes again and hits a hurricanrana, stopping to admire his work.

Ali traps Kid in a submission on the mat. Kid escapes, but Ali hits him with a hard open-hand slap. He hits the ropes but runs into a big move from Kid that nearly takes his head off. Kid goes for the cover, but only gets two. Ali goes for a backslide with his feet on the ropes, but the referee catches him.

While arguing with the referee, Ali is rolled up from behind by Kid, who gets a close two-count. Ali blasts Kid with a loud open-hand chop. Kid answers back with one of his own. With Ali on the floor, Kid hits the ropes to build up a full head of steam before diving head first into a standing Ali.

On the floor, Ali grabs and tears at Kid’s mask while also hitting him with a thumb to the eye. Kid answers back with a Bas Rutten style palm strike. Ali fights back and hits a cradle DDT off the apron onto the floor. In the ring, Ali immediately heads to the top-rope and hits a 450 splash for the win. The show heads to another commercial break after the match.

Mike Santana Confronts Mustafa Ali Backstage

When the show returns, Mustafa Ali is all smiles backstage with his personal security. He talks about the successful start to his campaign and how it is going to continue, when up walks Mike Santana, who asks if they have a problem. Ali’s security moves in, so Ali tells them it’s okay.

Santana says they can handle this like men after the disrespect Ali showed him at TNA Genesis. Ali says he just had a grueling match. He says he knows a supporter of his campaign who might be interested and walks off.

The Northern Armory (Travis Williams & Judas Icarus) and Eric Young & Josh Alexander fight to a No Contest

Inside the Impact Zone, The Northern Armoy duo of Travis Williams and Judas Icarus make their way out to the ring for the next match of the evening. They settle inside and their music dies down.

The catchy-ass entrance for Eric Young goes down next, with the commentators catching the viewing audience at home up on the risk Young is taking in trusting Josh Alexander tonight.

Finally, Josh Alexander’s tune hits and out comes “The Walking Weapon” in his first in-ring performance since quitting TNA after losing in an “I Quit” match to Mike Santana at TNA Genesis. Alexander and Young talk before the bell.

Young and Icarus kick things off for their respective teams. Young slams the hell out of Icarus, who tags in Williams. Young tags in Alexander, who takes the early offensive lead over his former ally. Icarus comes in, but Alexander handles both Northern Armory members by himself.

Alexander backs Icarus into the corner and chops the hell out of him. He does the same and whips him into the opposing corner, but Williams runs the apron and leaps in front of the turnbuckles to prevent his partner. Icarus follows up and blasts Alexander and then tags Williams in.

Both members of The Northern Armory hit back-to-back diving splashes onto Alexander on the floor. Back in the ring, Williams goes for the cover on Alexander, but only gets two. Alexander fights back and makes the much-needed tag, only for Young to hit the ring, turn around and knock the hell out of him.

Young does the slow, horror movie-style evil turn and flashes the equally evil smirk to the crowd after a long glare. Meanwhile, Icarus and Williams are beating the crap out of a lifeless Alexander, as Young directs traffic. Young finishes Alexander off with a jumping piledriver. The show heads to another commercial break.

Wes Lee defeated Ace Austin

When the show returns, Wes Lee’s theme hits and out comes the WWE NXT Superstar for the second NXT vs. TNA crossover match of the evening. The ABC entrance music hits next and out comes Ace Austin, as the commentators do a live read for TNA’s new deal with BLCKSMTH.

Austin snatches up a side head-lock off the initial lock-up. Lee cartwheels his way out of it and isolates the arm of Austin, cranking on the limb until Austin reverses and brings Lee down to the mat, controlling his arm.

The slow-paced action speeds up from here, with each guy running the ropes, hitting the match and flipping to avoid move-attempts from the other, all while ultimately doing nothing but landing one up-kick each.

At this point, fans chant “NXT! NXT” but they are eventually overtaken by a “TNA! TNA!” chant. Interestingly enough, the chants continue to out-shine the slow action in the ring, with a loud single “Boring!” chant being heard as Lee throws nothing-happening kicks at Austin.

Austin starts to fight back, and things begin to pick up once again. Austin hits a big leaping forearm to Lee from the apron. He looks for a springboard kick, but Lee avoids it. Austin hits a side-Russian leg-sweep, and quickly pops back to his feet for a fancy leg-drop.

The crowd comes to life in the background as Austin works over Lee in the corner. Austin comes off the ropes with a big kick to the back of the neck of Lee. He follows up with a cover, but only gets two. Austin muscles Lee up with a gut-wrench seated powerbomb for another two-count.

Austin calls for his finisher, but as he waits for Lee to get up, Tyson and Tyriek run out. Austin sees them coming and meets them at the end of the ramp from the apron. He hits a couple of kicks and then builds up a head of steam for a turning dive, where he almost landed on his head.

Back in the ring, Austin looks to springboard off the ropes from the apron, when Tyson and Tyriek get involved again from the floor. The distraction allows Lee to blast an unsuspecting Austin with his finisher for the win.

The NXT trio attack Austin afterwards. The Rascalz run out to make the save, and then the show heads into another commercial break, with the main event waiting on the other side.

Joe Hendry Concert Next Week

When the show returns, a commercial airs for TNA at Full Sail University. We then shoot to TNA World Champion Joe Hendry in a blue room. “Say his name, and he appears,” Hendry begins, as always.

He talks about how he’s unsure who will emerge as his first title challenger. In the meanwhile, next week, on TNA iMPACT, you’re going to see Joe Hendry in concert. He tells us we’ll be treated to a form of entertainment like no other.

The Nemeth Brothers (Nic Nemeth & Ryan Nemeth) defeated First Class (AJ Francis & KC Navarro)

It’s main event time!

After Hannifan and Rehwoldt run down the advertised lineup for next week’s TNA iMPACT on February 6 (see lineup below), the show returns inside the Impact Zone where First Class duo KC Navarro and AJ Francis make their way out for the main event of the evening.

The obligatory unzip and moan precedes the theme for the former top dog in TNA, as Nic Nemeth makes his way out accompanied by the man proud to be his little brother, Ryan Nemeth. The Nemeth Brothers head in the ring, with Ryan wearing a jacket to match his big brother.

After the bell sounds, Francis and Ryan Nemeth kick things off for their respective teams. Francis kicks Ryan down to one knee and demands he tag in “big bro.” Ryan obliges, and “The Wanted Man” hits the ring, shifting the offensive momentum in his team’s favor.

Nic lands a big leaping forearm that gets Francis second-guessing himself enough to voluntarily head over and tag out. Navarro comes in, but doesn’t fare much better in the initial exchanges. Navarro mocks Nemeth’s hip-swivel taunt, but it backfires as Nic blasts him upon turning around.

Nic and Ryan team up for some double-team spots, which culminates with Francis and Navarro both on the floor upset and re-grouping. On that note, the show heads into a mid-match commercial break as the main event of the evening continues.

When the show returns, the First Class duo of Francis and Navarro are in a comfortable offensive lead, utilizing frequent tags to keep a fresh man on the beaten down Ryan at all times, all-the-while taunting Nic on the apron.

Eventually, Ryan makes the much-needed hot tag to Nic, who comes in the ring with a ton of energy off the hot tag, immediately shifting the offensive momentum back in his team’s favor. He hits the Jerry Lawler Heart Attack special rapid-fire elbow spot on Navarro, which brings Francis in.

Ryan also hits the ring and takes care of Francis, while Navarro surprises Nic with a roll-up in the ring for a close two-count. Navarro blasts Nic with a big super kick for another close pin attempt seconds later. Nic fights back and hits a FameAsser on Navarro.

Ryan tags himself in, just as Nic hits Danger Zone. Ryan steals the pin and over-celebrates as Nic watches in disbelief, before ultimately hesitantly celebrating with his little brother. Francis carries Navarro like a baby to the back as Hannifan and Rehwoldt wrap things up.

WWE NXT live results: Bayley & Giulia vs. Roxanne Perez & Cora Jade

WWE NXT is on the road this week with tonight’s episode taking place live from Center Stage in Atlanta.

Bayley will continue her feud with Roxanne Perez as the two meet in tag team action. It will be Bayley and NXT Women’s Champion Giulia against Perez and Cora Jade.

A Women’s Tag Team title match is also set with Bianca Belair and Naomi putting their belts on the line against Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson. In another title match, Shotzi challenges Fallon Henley for the NXT Women’s North American Championship.

NXT Champion Oba Femi will appear as Grayson Waller and Austin Theory’s guest on The Grayson Waller Effect.

Last week, Trick Williams made it clear that his sights are set on winning the NXT Championship back from Femi. Williams will be in action tonight when he goes one-on-one with Wes Lee.

Personally, seeing pro wrestling on television from Center Stage again is very nostalgic for me. I have watched wrestling on TV from the venue since 1989. Production has come a long way.

The show starts with Bayley’s first match on NXT since 2020.

NXT Women’s Champion Giulia & Bayley defeated Roxanne Perez & Cora Jade

Bayley pinned Jade to win the match. This was such a fun match. Really good opener.

The babyface duo gets to shine early on, but the heels take over before a commercial break. Perez & Jade both do dives just before the show cuts away to a split-screen. Bayley is trying to rally as the show returns from the break.

Bayley tries to climb the turnbuckles, but the heels work together to trip her up and stomp on her. Bayley is separated from her corner, and the heels work her over. Bayley-to-belly and a hot tag to Giulia. Some Matrix moves and Giulia is on fire. Missile dropkick for a two count.

Miss-communication by the heel duo, as Jade inadvertently hits Perez with a forearm smash. Giulia hit a knee for a near falls where Jade dives in to break it up. Bayley rushed into the ring to fight with Perez, and their fight spilled outside the ring.

Perez takes a hard bump into the barricade, and she is down selling the rest of the match. Meanwhile, Giulia drops Jade with a headbutt. Bayley climbs the turnbuckles around Giulia tags her, and Bayley leaps off the top rope with a flying elbow drop. Bayley then hooks a leg and covers Giulia for a three count.

Eddy Thorpe is the focus of a vignette, where is standing by a fire as he cuts a promo. He vows to make his mark, and he will not be broken. Should be noted he still has that strap like in a strap match.

After a fun wrestling match to open the show, now is the sports entertainment portion of the program.

“The Grayson Waller Effect” with NXT Champion Oba Femi

Although it starts as a talking segment with Femi facing off with Garyson Waller and Austin Theory. That leads to Femi issuing a challenge to either Waller or Theory, asking which one will face him at Vengeance Day. Trick Williams is shown watching the proceedings on a monitor backstage.

After Femi challenges Austin and Waller, out comes NXT General Manager Ava. She tells Femi he does not make the matches around here, she does. Ava is then interrupted by the entrance of Trick. He storms past Ava and into the ring. Trick throws both Waller and Theory out of the ring, but Femi cuts off Trick and give him a pop-up powerbomb. The show cuts to a commercial break with Trick down, and has a match up next.

Sarah Schreiber interviews Izzi Dame to ask what is going on with Dame and Tony D’Angelo. Dame says nothing is going on, and they are not even friends. They just have a similar enemy. Up walks Ridge Holland to interject, and he calls Dame a liar.

Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo comes up to take up for Dame, and Holland says he does not want to talk with D’Angelo’s lackey. Holland and Stacks get face-to-face when they are separated by referees.

Referees are at ringside checking on Trick Williams, who is still selling the powerbomb from Femi. Trick vows to wrestle, and the refs let him.

Trick Williams vs. Wes Lee (with Tyriek Igwe & Tyson Dupont)

A day after JD McDonagh took a nasty bump on an announce desk, they do a spot in this match were Lee jumps off the apron with meteora that drives Trick backwards on the announce desk. From there, the show cuts to a commercial break.

Igwe and Dupont get involved at one point, and there is blatant interference. The ref lets it go, as Trick thwarts the heels. However, Trick starts kicking too much butt.

Trick won’t back off when the ref says so, and Trick shoved the ref down. The ref then disqualifies Trick. A miscarriage of justice as Gorilla Monsoon would say. Trick picks up a metal folding chair, and he heels flee.

In a backstage skit, Ava tells Femi that he will defend the NXT title in a triple threat match against Theory and Waller at Vengeance Day. Another triple threat match. How original. But wait, there’s more.

After a commercial break, Ava is talking with Trick, who is upset he is not getting the title shot at the PLE. Ava tells Trick to prove it, and she books him in a tag match with Femi as Trick’s partner against Waller and Theory for next week on NXT.

NXT Women’s North American Champion Fallon Henley (with Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyz) defeated Shotzi (with Tatum Paxley & Gigi Dolan) to retain her title

Henley pinned Shotzi with ‘The Hoedown” to win the match. Rough to watch at time because Shotzi took such crazy bumps.

Shotzi does a dive on to everyone at ringside. From there, the respective entourages start fighting at ringside. They fight their way up the ramp and exit stage right. Henley chop blocks Shotzi’s knee, and the show cut to a commercial break wondering whether Shotzi can continue.

Shotzi makes a comeback after the show returns from the break. She takes some crazy bumps. Moments late, she drops all her weight on Henley when Shotzi jumps off the ropes with a senton bomb.

Henley cuts off Shotzi, and Shotzi gets trapped in the tree of woe. Henley then suplexed Shotzi, and Henley does a famouser (Rocker Dropper), that Vic Joseph on commentary called the “The Hoedown”. Silly name, but Henley is so damn good.

After the match, Stepahnie Vaquer enters stage right to confront Henley. Then a title match is officially announced that Henley defends against Vaquer at Vengeance Day.

Kelani Jordan was very rude to Karmen Petrovic, and Petrovic calls her a “bitch” as Jordan walks off.

Sarah Schreiber interviews Ava in a backstage skit. Ava is about to announce the NXT Womens’ title match for Vengeance Day when Roxanne Perez interrupts with Cora Jade in tow. Perez assumes she is not the challenger, and she blames Jade for losing in the tag match.

Ava instead announces Perez is challenging for the title in yet another triple threat match. What such an overdone concept. Anyway, the women’s title match is Giulia defending against Perez and Bayley in a triple threat.

Jade storms off, as she is upset over the news. Perez chases after her. Later in the show, Jade tells Ava they need to “have a word!”

Ethan Page vs. Cedric Alexander

Page pinned Alexander.

The match goes through a commercial break. Page works over Alexander’s hand, targeting it and smashing the hand on the ring steps. After a while, Alexander fights back with a suplex. Alexander then makes a comeback. Michinoku Driver by Alexander for a near fall. Brainbuster for a two count as well.

Alexander has Page in a submission when Page snaps Alexander’s fingers to break the hold. There is a slugfest and they trade strikes. Page blocks Alexander’s handspring finisher, and Page executes a Diamond Cutter. Page then covers Alexander for a pinfall.

Page pulls the bottom turnbuckle pad off, as if Page is going to smash the injured hand. Je’Von runs down the ramp for a save, and Evans leaps into the ring to splash Page. Evans is a house of fire, and Page is set sailing out of the ring.

Fatal Influence cut a promo where they announced Stephanie Vaquer against Jacy Jayne in match for next week.

Josh Briggs gives Yoshiki Inamura a leather vest in a vignette. Now they have matching vests like a real team.

WWE Women’s Tag Tea Champions Bianca Belair & Naomi defeated Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson to retain the titles

Belair pinned Jackson to win the match, and the champions retain their titles. My feed of the CW was in-and-out several times during the match, so it seems disjointed to me.

The live crowd booed heavily at the false finish, thinking Jackson has pinned Belair. The crowd turned on the match when Belair kicked out.

Belair and Naomi execute a tandem sit-out finisher on Jackosn, and Belair scores the deciding pinfall.

There was a teaser of some sort at the end of the show for Vengeance Day.

Cora Jade match announced for TNA Impact

NXT’s Cora Jade will be on TNA Impact this week. 

On Monday, TNA announced that Jade “will be in action” on Thursday’s show. 

Jade wrestled two matches for TNA Wrestling last week. The promotion held TV tapings in San Antonio following a live episode of Impact that aired on Thursday night. Then, they returned to the same venue the following day to tape additional matches for upcoming episodes. Spoilers from the shows are available here. 

Jade’s matches this weekend were her second and third ever in TNA. Her first occurred in October 2019 when she lost to Havok in three minutes at a taping in Indiana.

Bayley and Giulia vs. Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade set for next WWE NXT

A women’s division tag team match featuring the newest member of the WWE Raw roster is set for next week’s WWE NXT.

After a promo segment and brawl involving new Raw roster member Bayley, NXT Women’s Champion Giulia, Roxanne Perez, and Cora Jade on this week’s show, a tag team match has been added to next week’s WWE NXT in Atlanta at Center Stage, with Bayley & Giulia vs. Perez & Jade.

Former NXT Champion Trick Williams will also return to the ring on WWE NXT for the first time since losing his title on January 7 on next week’s show, taking on Wes Lee. Williams and Lee had a backstage interaction this week, then Lee called out Williams in the ring. Williams laid out Lee.

A Grayson Waller Effect talk show segment has also been added to next week’s lineup in Atlanta, plus Ethan Page will go one-on-one with Cedric Alexander.

Already announced for next week, The Meta Girls Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson will challenge Bianca Belair and Naomi for the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles, plus Fallon Henley puts the Women’s North American title on the line against Shotzi.

Fraxiom & Cora Jade among WWE NXT surprises at TNA Genesis

As promised, members of the WWE NXT roster made themselves known during Sunday’s TNA Genesis pay-per-view including the reigning Tag Team Champions Fraxiom and Cora Jade.

Nathan Frazier & Axiom came out prior to The Hardys’ TNA Tag Team title defense against The Rascalz to take a closer look and then inadvertently got involved. After Trey Miguel dove outside at the Hardys and then accidentally hit the NXT Tag Team Champions by mistake, things got heated before security escorted Fraxiom to the back.

As a result, Fraxiom will now defend the titles against The Rascalz at this Thursday’s live edition of TNA Impact.

That wasn’t the only NXT involvement on the show.

Following TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich’s successful title defense over Rosemary, Cora Jade made her own surprise appearance to confront Slamovich. Slamovich appeared in the crowd during last Tuesday’s NXT and teased defending the title against someone in NXT.

Ashante “Thee” Adonis came out during the pre-show with an open challenge that was answered by Jake Something who defeated Adonis in under four minutes.

Arianna Grace returned during the night to resume her role as the liaison between NXT and TNA.

After the two sides worked together during the second half of 2024, WWE and TNA announced a formal partnership last week that will continue the talent exchange that could spill over to the main roster as well.

Stephanie Vaquer vs. Cora Jade announced for WWE NXT Christmas Eve episode

Stephanie Vaquer will go one-on-one with Cora Jade in one of the new bouts and segments confirmed for next week’s Christmas Eve edition of WWE NXT.

Vaquer vs. Jade was officially announced following a vignette highlighting Vaquer’s journey to WWE aired on Tuesday’s NXT episode.

A four-way to crown new number one contenders to the NXT Tag Team titles will also take place on the December 24 episode. No Quarter Catch Crew’s Tavion Heights & Myles Borne take on Hank Walker & Tank Ledger, The Family’s Stacks Lorenzo and Luca Crusifino, and OTM’s Bronco Nima & Lucien Price for the right to challenge Axiom & Nathan Frazer for the NXT Tag Team titles.

Already announced for the December 24 episode, Charlie Dempsey will defend the NXT Heritage Cup against Lexis King.

A special appearance by Santa Claus has also bee announced for next week’s show.

Iron Survivor Challenge qualifying matches official for WWE NXT

Iron Survivor Challenge qualifiers have been announced.

On social media Saturday, NXT GM Ava announced the first two qualifying matches for the Iron Survivor Challenge that will take place at NXT Deadline on December 7 in Minneapolis. For the men, Wes Lee will face Cedric Alexander. Meanwhile, Cora Jade will face off against Sol Ruca.

Wes Lee in recent weeks has been targeting Alexander’s tag team partner Je’Von Evans, with the two facing off on Tuesday during NXT’s event at the former ECW Arena. Thanks to Rob Van Dam’s assistance, Evans won the match after hitting a frog splash.

Jade competed in a ten-woman tag team match in Tuesday’s main event. However, her team failed to topple Jordynne Grace, Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia, Kelani Jordan, and Zaria as they stood tall to end the show.
