Athena’s next Ring of Honor Women’s title defense announced as part of special show

ROH Women’s World Champion Athena will put her title on the line as part of the run-up to AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

Announced Thursday, Athena will put her record-long title streak up against Stardom’s Syuri who will be making her promotional debut as part of the newly-announced ROH vs. CMLL vs. Stardom Global Wars show that will air on June 18 on HonorClub.

The match will be filmed either this Wednesday or next Thursday during AEW’s two nights in Cincinnati for their Summer Blockbuster shows. As of this writing, no other matches have been announced.

It will be a rematch from February’s NJPW The New Beginning USA where Syuri successfully defended her IWGP Women’s title. Both women also shared the ring during last July’s women’s Casino gauntlet match at All In: Texas that marked Syuri’s AEW debut.

Athena will be looking to extend her near-1300 day title run. She is awaiting her opponent in the semifinals of the AEW women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament which will likely take place while she is in Cincinnati as well.

Forbidden Door, which will feature talent from AEW, CMLL, NJPW and Stardom, is set for Sunday, June 28 in San Jose, California.

First women’s Owen Hart tournament semi-finalist crowned at AEW Double or Nothing

Athena has qualified for the semi-final of the 2026 AEW Owen Hart tournament.

AEW Double or Nothing 2026 officially kicked off the Women’s Owen Hart tournament. The women’s opening round began with ROH Women’s World Champion Athena taking on Mina Shirakawa.

In the third match of the night, Athena defeated Shirakawa in a closely fought match and crowned herself the winner.

Throughout the match, Shirakawa tried to inflict damage on Athena’s legs, but unfortunately for Shirakawa, the champion stood through it all. Toward the closing moments of the match, Athena executed the O-Face on Shirakawa and secured the pinfall.

With her win tonight, Athena has booked her spot in the semi-final of the tournament. The date for Athena’s semi-final match has yet to be announced.

The other matches for the tournament will see Alex Windsor against a wild-card opponent, Sareee against Skye Blue, and Hazuki against Persephone. Although the dates for these matches have not been confirmed yet.

Current longest-reigning World Champion wants ‘one more match’ with Asuka outside of WWE

Athena has nothing but praise for Asuka and holds her in high regard for the influence on her wrestling career. She expressed hope that they will share the ring one final time.

In an interview with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Athena relived her wrestling rivalry with Asuka. She recalled their first meeting at Shimmer Women’s Wrestling and then clashed in the NXT ring for the Women’s Championship.

“Oh, man. Like Asuka is one of those people, that’s a forever rival for me. Like when we were back on the indies, we actually ended up wrestling at Shimmer Women’s Wrestling. That’s where we met. We had one of the hardest hitting matches I think I’ve had in my career then, and then fast forward to WWE NXT for the NXT Women’s Championship. Asuka is my yin to my yang. I really hope she’s not stepping away. I’ve actually been trying to get a hold of her because I lost a whole bunch of people’s numbers when I switched my phone and everything.”

She referenced Asuka as a living legend that audiences still remain unaware of her capabilities and wrestling impact.

“But man, talk about someone who’s just the epitome of what legendary status is or what a living legend is. I, to some extent, don’t feel like people really understand how much she’s done for wrestling as a whole. Like from grinding on the indies to being like an independent contractor in Japan to getting signed to WWE. Not only that, like just excelling in WWE in every form and facet from match to match, but never changing who she was as a person, a character. I couldn’t be more proud, more happy for her. I hate her in that same breath, of course.”

Athena expressed interest in a final match with Asuka to conclude their rivalry out of respect for her legendary career. She emphasized how important competing against Asuka was in shaping her as a performer and wrestler.

“I also feel like I have to have one more match eventually and hope that this isn’t it. This isn’t the long goodbye, if you will. But like, Asuka’s one of those people that I wouldn’t be who I am as a performer, as an athlete, if she wasn’t in my life. If she wasn’t on the opposite side of the ring. I don’t think I would have gotten anything really if I didn’t have that experience with her.”

Asuka teased retirement after her WWE Backlash match against IYO SKY after a 22-year wrestling career. On the following edition of Raw, she bid farewell to SKY in a passing of the torch moment.

On the other hand, after Athena’s WWE release in 2021 she returned to the independent circuit before debuting on AEW. In December 2022 she captured the Women’s ROH Championship and continues to hold the title with her reign surpassing the 1250 day mark.

ROH Women’s World title Proving Ground match set for next week

ROH Women’s World Champion Athena will be in action on next week’s ROH on HonorClub.

She will face newly signed Maya World in a Proving Ground match. If World wins or the match ends in a time limit draw, she will earn a shot at Athena’s title.

World teamed with her partner Hyan and Deonna Purrazzo in a win over Athena, Billie Starkz, and Diamante at the ROH x CMLL Global Wars tapings on January 31.

In a backstage segment on last week’s episode, Athena challenged World to the Proving Ground match, saying she was embarrassed at Global Wars. The bout was made official during Thursday’s broadcast. It was taped on Sunday March 1, at ROH’s standalone TV tapings in Jacksonville.

Athena also appears to be building a program with ROH Women’s Pure Champion Deonna Purrazzo. In a backstage segment on this week’s show, Athena and Billie Starkz were shown having recently attacked Purrazzo backstage, with Athena later telling Starkz to win Purrazzo’s Pure title.

Athena vs. Syuri announced for NJPW New Beginning USA

A champion vs. champion match has been booked for New Japan Pro Wrestling’s New Beginning USA event later this month.

Ring of Honor Women’s Champion Athena announced on social media that she will be facing Syuri on that show, and that Syuri’s IWGP Women’s Championship will be on the line.

This will be the second defense of Syuri’s current championship reign, and the first since she defeated Saya Kamitani to win the NJPW Strong Women’s championship in a title vs. title match at WrestleKingdom 20 on January 4. That match barely went 12 minutes but still got a ****1/2 rating from Dave Meltzer.

Syuri’s last match in the United States was a Casino Gauntlet Match at AEW All In Texas last July. The winner of that match: Athena.

Athena has been ROH Women’s Champion for over 1,100 days, having defeated Mercedes Martinez for the title in October of 2022. It appears her title will not be on the line against Syuri.

NJPW New Beginning USA 2026 will take place at the CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, New Jersey, on February 27. Tickets are available here

Already booked for that show:

  • El Phantasmo defending the NJPW World Television Title against Konosuke Takeshita
  • Tomohiro Ishii defending the NJPW Strong Openweight Title against Oleg Boltin
  • Syuri defending the IWGP Women’s Championship against Athena

Athena has been running Metroplex Wrestling since 2022. The promotion runs weekly shows on Friday in Bedford, Texas.

“For the first time ever, ROH is going to collaborate, we’re going to team up with Metroplex Wrestling, which is run by the CEO of Metroplex and the match-maker of Metroplex, the ROH Women’s World Champion, the Fallen Goddess Athena.”

Athena said, “When my minions prove that we are the best in the entire world, we are going to continue this forever.”

Khan and Athena’s announcement is below:

**********

Final Battle has come and gone, but what will be left in it’s wake? Could it be that these last battles have not been so final? Let’s find out!

-The show opened with ROH Women’s World Champion Athena coming to the ring with Diamante and Bille Starkz. Athena has main evented three Final Battles in a row and was here to celebrate her 1000+ days as Champion.

Athena listed a few of her more notable opponents over the three years of her reign and took credit for all of ROH’s success. The crowd (well, a few in the crowd) started a “Forever” chant, and Athena said that nothing means more to her in the world than the ROH Women’s Title.

Athena then turned to Billie Starkz and berated her for not winning the Women’s Pure Championship at Final Battle. Athena said that in penance, Starks will have a tag match with Diamante as her partner against Deonna Purrazzo and a partner of her choosing.

Celebratory streamers rained down from the first few rows and everyone left.

Spanish Announce Project (Angelico and Serpentico) vs LSG and Josh Crane

And bam, just like that we were “vibing” according to Ian Riccabonni into the first match of the night.

Angelico started off against Crane and the two tried to out-muscle each other until Angelico got a wristlock on that was augmented by a stomp from Serpentico from the top rope. Serpentico went for a cover but Crane kicked out at two.

LSG got involved on the ring apron, allowing Crane to get some offense in and make the tag. LSG dropped a big elbow before tagging Crane back in for some chops. Serpentico got a hot tag to Angelico and he used his height advantage to avoid a double team.

Angelico hit a capuara kick and a big backdrop before grapevining LSG’s legs for a two count. LSG walked into a jumping flatliner, but the pin was broken up and Serpentico tagged in. SAP got both opponents into submissons and they tapped at the same time.

Match Result: Spanish Announce Project defeated Josh Crane and LSG

The Frat House (Griff Garrison, Cole Karter and Preston Vance) w/ Jakked Jameson vs The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds, Evil Uno and John Silver)

The Frat house have a mascot called Business Bear that for some reason is feuding with Ian Riccabonni. There was a lot of shouting about it. The Dark Order wore purple as they are apt to do.

Jameson started screaming like a Steiner at Riccabonni about Business Bear and the match began with Garrison and Silver. Silver managed to keep control through interference from Vance and Karter, and tagged in Uno. Garrison worked him into the Frat House corner to take a triple team and some shots from Vance.

Jameson got up on the apron and Uno punched him, but he also got kicked to the outside to be stomped by all four Frat House Members. They threw him back into the ring and continued the beat down three on one. Uno powered up on Karter, hitting a neckbreaker to recharge the Order. Vance cut off the tag though, until Uno hit a DDT.

Reynolds and Garrison tagged in and had a quick exchange with Reynolds coming out on top. Garrison fell off the ring apron into the crowd of pledges and Reyolds flipped over the top rope onto all of them.

From there, Reynolds could only get a two count and he and Silver tried a pinning combo to no avail. A big knee from Uno delivered a big lariat to Vance and the Order tripled teamed Karter to get the pin and the victory.

Match Result: The Dark Order defeated The Frat House

Zayda Steel vs Rachael Ellering

Steel, who lost her debut, was touted as a big signing. Ellering arrived looking cheery and to some pretty hyped fans.

The two traded wristlocks with Steel taking Ellering down by the knee. Ellering tossed Steel across the ring and they had a reset. Ellering hit a shoulder tackle but Steel came right back. She threw some knees in the corner and a big dropkick to get Ellering off her feet.

Separation was created and Ellering threw a very strong lariat to take control. She threw a few hard chops and drove Steel in to the corner. Ellering hit a gutwrench suplex and a Squish senton, but Steel kicked out.

Ellering called for another Squish, but Steel countered it with a neckbreaker. Ellering charged the corner but Steel dodged it. Ellering hit a stiff elbow and big back slam followed by a bosswoman slam. Only a two count though.

Steel showed life though hitting and around the world DDT and getting the 1-2-3 to win the match.

Match Result: Zayda Steel defeated Racheal Ellering

Jay Lethal vs Nathan Cruz

Cruz was making his ROH debut, and tried to jump Lethal off the bell. He laid in some kicks but Lethal came back with an upper cut. Lethal took control, trying to get the ankle lock on. Cruz wormed his way out and tried to lure Lethal to the outside.

Lethal didn’t bite and Cruz started throwing punches and knee drops. Cruz put on a sleeper hold and brought Lethal to the mat. Lethal powered out and cruz hit a back suplex, trying to get the pin. Lethal tried a rollup but couldn’t get it to three.

Lethal hit a drang screw into the figure four and Cruz had to struggle to get to the ropes. Lethal landed a superkick into a Lethal Injection and got the victory.

Match Result: Jay Lethal defeated Nathan Cruz

Billie Starkz and Diamante vs ROH Women’s Pure Champion Deonna Purrazzo and Madison Rayne

Madison Rayne is an ROH Legend, so that’s pretty cool!

Diamante and Starkz jumped their opponents off the top, with Purrazzo getting tossed out and Rayne taking both Starkz and Diamante out.

When things settled down, Purrazzo wrapped Starkz up in a shoulder lock and Diamante broke it up. Diamante then dropped Purrazzo on her head on the ring apron.

The match went back and forth with Starkz and Purrazzo exchanging blows. Rayne reached for tag but Starkz got to Diamante first. Rayne tagged in and the two fought until Starkz broke up a cover. Rayne hit a double cutter on both Starkz and Diamante.

Starkz popped back up in time to take a flurry of offense from both Rayne and Purrazzo. Purrazzo locked in a shoulder lock and Starkz was forced to tap out.

Match Result: Deonna Purrazzo and Madison Rayne defeated Billie Starkz and Diamante

After the match, Athena stomped to the ring and yelled and screamed at Starkz over the loss. She dragged her minions away and the show transitioned into an interview with Red Velvet.

Velvet recapped her success at Final Battle and declared that the Kitchen was finally open.

Josh Woods vs Hechicero

This match was billed as a bout between wrestlers who both lost at Final Battle. Immediately it was a technical wrestlefest. Lots of quick locks and rolls with neither getting a clear advantage.

Hechicero started working the knees and ankles of Woods, with Woods finding ways to counter through roll overs. A quick reset and smattering of applause and the two were rolling through facelocks and crucifix pin attempts.

Woods stopped to offer his hand out of respect and Hechicero turned on the bralwer hitting a quick DDT and a snapmare takedown. He split Woods’ fingers and ground the pace down to a crawl with leg locks. Hechicero tossed Woods into the corner for nine punches and and elbow.

The speed picked up again with Woods running a knee into Hechicero’s throat. Woods hit a gutwrench takedown and both took time to recover.

Woods made it up first and delivered a knee. He hoisted Hechicero up, but Hechicero blocked the drop and rolled into a hammerlock triangle, forcing Woods to submit.

Match Result: Josh Woods defeated Hechicero

10-Man Tag Match: Dalton Castle, The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum), Tommy Billington and Adam Priest vs MxMxTV (Mansoor, Mason Madden & Johnny TV) w/ Taya Valkyrie and The Premier Athletes (Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari) w/ Mark Sterling

I think that is the longest match headline in recorded history.

As can be expected, this match was complete chaos. There was a full brawl before the bell even rang and then tag teams just started hitting finishers left and right. Mangnum and Mansoor had a good exchange and Magnum managed to dodge multiple splashes.

Castle and TV faced off and Castle started spamming suplexes dishing one out to everyone on the opposing team. Nese distracted Castle so Madden could get a double chokeslam attempt on the Outrunners. They countered it and dropped a couple of elbows.

Billington and Priest worked over Nese until Sterling and Valkyrie started competing to see who could distract the ref more. That allowed Nese to get suplexed by Billington in a bridge for the 1-2-3.

Match Result: Dalton Castle, The Outrunners , Tommy Billington and Adam Priest defeated MxMxTV and The Premier Athletes

-Shane Taylor Promotions cut a promo next about how they are great. And you know what? They are.

ROH Women’s World Television Championship Proving Ground Match: Red Velvet (c) vs Lacey Lane

Lane is the first to challenge Velvet after she re-acquired the ROH Women’s TV Title from Mercedes Mone at Final Battle.

The two shared a respectful tie ups and locks, feeling each other out. Velvet put on a short arm scissor lock, but Lane rolled out of it and tied her up with a face lock into a crucifix pin attempt.

Velvet stacked Lane with a backslide for a 2 count and Lane got caught by a lariat off the ropes. Velvet let herself be lured in and out of the ring and right into a springboard dropkick.

Lane hit a running dropkick on Velvet in the corner, but Velvet was able to kick out. Lane stomped her and hit a spring boarg guillotine for a two count of her own.

Velvet delivered a back knee to Lane, but Lane managed to dodge the Stir It Up Kick. Lane then hit guillotine death valley driver! Velvet wouldn’t stay down though and the match continued.

The “Five Minutes Remaning” announcement sounded and that lit a fire under Velvet who hit a Mama’s Kitchen and pinning Lane to win the match.

Match result: Red Velvet defeated Lacey Lane

Death Riders (Wheeler Yuta & Daniel Garcia) w/ Marina Shafir vs Aaron Solo and Willie Mack

Yuta and Solo started off which allowed Garcia to charge across the ring and take out Mack. Yuta got the jump on Solo until Solo sent him over the top rope with a backdrop. Yuta and Garcia met on the outside and beat up Solo through the ring apron before tossing him back in.

Garcia and Yuta double teamed Solo in the ring with Garcia remaining legal. Mack found his way back to his corner Solo powered out of a bunch of Garcia knees into a power slam. Mack and Yuta got tages respectively and Mack cleared the ring of both Yuta and Garcia.

Mack one hand slammed Yuta and tagged in Solo for a doiuble stomp and pin. Yuta kicked out at two though and worked Solo into a rollup with a handful of tights. Yuta and Garcia ran circles on Solo in the corner followed by a flying forearm from Yuta.

Garcia held solo for a Splash from Yuta into a dragon submission from Garcia. Solo tapped out.

Match Result: Death Riders defeated Aaron Solo and Willie Mack

8-Man Tag Match: Shane Talyor Promotions (Shane Taylor, Carlie Bravo, Sean Dean & Lee Moriarty) vs Skyflight (Scorpio Sky, Dante Martin and Darius Martin) and Komander

Moriarty and Komander started the match. Those two will face off on Dec 26th at Boxing Day Brawl. They gave a good preview and Komander seemed to frustrate Moriarty and Brave and Dante tagged in.

They locked up and Bravo got dragged to the Skyflight corner. That brought in Darius and Ian Riccaboni shouted out Jaleel White. How about that.

Back in the match, Talor tagged in and ragdolled Dante intot he corner. Dante rolled out and Bravo stomped him until Komander scared him off. Taylor tossed Dante back into the ring over the second rope and unloaded shots on him.

Taylor isolated Dante in the STP corner and Dean tagged in to lay in some knees. Bravo hit an eye poke and stomps on Dante, holding him so Dean could kick out his arm. Dean dropped some knees the Infantry continued tagging in and out on Dante.

Dante tried to get a hot tag, but STP charged and cleared the ring of his partners. They retreated and brought Dante with them, and Dean got distracted blowing snot at Skyflight and Dante got a dropkick in. Dante got the hot tag to Komander as a result.

Komander cleared the ring, ending up with Moriarty who he started the match against. Komander planted Moriarty with an around the world DDT, but Dean broke up the pin.

Dante hit a slingshot cutter on Bravo and Komander hit a spingboard shooting start press to get the pin on Bravo and win the match.

Match result: Skyflight and Komander defeated Shane Taylor Promotions

Here we go, friends! It’s the finalest of battles with over half a dozen titles on the line, an instant classic tee’d up and an Eddie Kingston match. Does it get better than that? I don’t think so. But ZERO HOUR is upon us, so let’s see if it does!

ZERO HOUR: The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum) vs The Premier Athletes (Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari) w/ Mark Sterling and Stori Denali

These are definitely two tag teams that would have made sense in the title match later tonight. But that said, it’s always nice to see the Outrunners dropping double elbows on jerks the caliber of the Athletes.

Nese and Magnum kicked things off with some posing, then some wrestling, then some more posing, before finally settling on some wrestling. Eache held their own (because they are pretty good at this) but Nese got the better of Magnum with some headgames.

The match proceeded as expected from there, lots of quick tags, double teams and shenanigans from the Athletes. At one point Sterling tried to get involved and Denali took on Magnum in a staredown, but the Outrunners were able to keep their momentum.

In the end, Floyd came in off of a hot tag and the Outrunners disposed of Nese and Daivari with their classic double elbow into a Total Recall with Magnum getting the pin on Daivari.

Match Result: The Outrunners defeated The Premier Athletes

ZERO HOUR: Leila Grey vs Zayda Steel

Steel was one of the hottest free agents out there when Tony Khan snapped her up. She immediately set her sights on ROH mainstay Grey, so we will see if Steel can back up her rep in her ROH/AEW debut.

The two chain wrestled back and forth for the first part of the match, working each other pretty evenly. Steel began to take control until Grey hit a killer neckbreaker and some big lariats. Steel wasn’t out yet though, delivering some hard strikes and luring Grey into a half-crab hold.

Grey hit a devastating iron butterfly and it knocked Steel clean out. Grey got the pin and victory, but Steel looked great and will do well in AEW/ROH.

Match Result: Leila Grey defeated Zayda Steel

ZERO HOUR: Lee Johnson vs. Ace Austin

I’m 78% sure this match is happening because Johnson came to the event with Christian and was sad that he couldnt be in the Survival of The Fittest Match too. But that’s just speculation.

Austin and Johnson are both very, very athletic, so it was a match that was full of hold switches, lots of whips and lariats and standoffs as the two clashed in the air and on the mat. Johnson broke an Indian Death Lock with an eye poke at one point, and Austin was able to use brute strength to keep Johnson at bay.

Austin hit a Blue Thunder Bomb, but as we know, it’s impossible to win matches with that. Johnson tried to respond with one of his own, but again, no joy. Austin kept up with Johnson, dodging and reversing everything thrown at him until he managed to get Johnson with a huge slam to pick up the win in his ROH debut.

Match Result: Ace Austin defeated Lee Johnson

ZERO HOUR: Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson) vs The Death Riders (Wheeler Yuta & Daniel Garcia)

Two more teams that would not be out of place in the upcoming Tag Team title match, GYV have had some bangers this year. Yuta and Garcia are fresh off of a victory last night on Honorclub. Jon Moxley accompanied them to the ring and sat in on commentary for the match. I could almost understand what he was saying through the mumbles.

Yuta and Drake set the pace with a really fast and fun exchange off the top. Garcia took on Gibson in a technical display that saw Garcia worm his way out of everything that Gibson threw at him. Drake at one point climbed the ladder and jumed what seemed like 10 feet high to take out Yuta.

A great double hot tag gave the match it’s best sequence with Gibson and Garcia going absolutely wild on each other. Gibson threw Yuta into Garcia in the corner via a pumphandle slam, which was awesome. Garcia grapevined Gibson into a Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring which Gibson powered out of, but he couldn’t power out of the double beatdown the Riders gave him.

Drake went coast to coast with a dropkick on Yuta’s head, but it only got a two count. Garcia trapped Drake beneath the steel steps and he and Yuta delivered a double dropkick to the stairs, possibly killing him. After that, Yuta hit his big knee on Gibson and Garcia scooped him up for the pin.

Match Result: Death Riders defeated Grizzled Young Veterans

And with all that said, 8pm EST arrived and FINAL BATTLE began!

At the end of Zero Hour, Jon Moxley decided that he was going to stay on commentary. I took that to mean he’d hang around for the final moments of the pre show. Nope. There he was, dryly mentioning things as Final Battle began.

Finals of the ROH Women’s Pure Championship Tournament: Deonna Purrazzo vs. Billie Starkz

The Tournament to crown the inaugural ROH Women’s Pure Champion was announced on April 12, 2025. On August 29, 2025, at Death Before Dishonor, the tournament bracket was revealed. Last night (December 4, 2025) Queen Aminata had to forefeit her match against Purrazzo because of injury, sending her to the finals. Starkz beat Yuka Sakazaki on the same show to get her ticket punched. So here we are with the finals, almost 8 full months after the tournament of 16 women was announced.

Starkz tried to hit a lariat off the code of honor, but Purrazzo saw it coming and turned it into an armbar, forcing Starkz to use her first rope break just a few seconds into the match. Starkz did her best to enrage Purrazzo who channeled that anger into an armbar with a fish hook cherry on top.

Purrazzo controlled the match in the early going, having an aswer for everything Starkz threw at her. Starkz took some time to find her footing, but after luring Purrazzo to the outside used that foot to drive Purrazzo’s head into the steel steps.

Back in the ring, Starkz stalked Purrazzo around the ring, throwing strikes and driving Purrazzo to the mat with a snap DDT. Purrazzo came back though, continuing to work Starkz’ arm before sending her outside into the barricade.

Purrazzo tried to whip Starkz into the ringpost, but Starkz reversed it and threw some crazy forearms. Purrazzo eventually ducked though and Starkz hit the ringpost, further damaging that arm. Purrazzo then hit a side Russian leg sweep on Starkz, driving the back of her head onto the announce table.

Purrazzo threw Starkz back into the ring and locked in a Koji clutch. Starkz worked out of it and hit a spinning kick, sending both women to the mat. Purrazzo got up first and locked in another arm bar. Starkz refused to tap and dragged them both to the ropes, using her second break at 50:48.

Starkz hit a backbreaker that got a two count, but Purrazzo wasn’t fazed by it. She lured Starkz onto the apron, but Starkz got her with an Alabama slam and a cannonball off the apron. She threw Purrazzo back in and landed a picture-perfect swanton, but Purrazzo kicked out.

Starkz locked in a sleeper, but at 48:38, Purrazzo fell on the ropes, using a break for the first time EVER. From there, Purrazzo reversed a slam into a piledriver, but Starkz kicked out at two. Purrazzo went back to the armbar, but at 47:35 Starkz grabbed the ropes to break the hold.

Purrazzo then went to a surfboard hold through the ropes, but Starkz pulled herself out of it. She hit a DDT and then went up top for a second Swanton. PUrrazzo kicked out at two and locked in a Venus De Milo hold. Starkz couldn’t get to the ropes and was forced to tap, giving the match and the RON Women’s Pure Championship to Purrazzo.

Match Result: Deonna Purrazzo defeated Billie Starkz

After the match, an injured Queen Aminata came down to the ring to congratulate Purrazzo and put herself in line for a future shot at the title.

It took 8 months, but the matches and outcome were worth it. Starkz was great in this match and Purrazzo had a counter for everything she threw at her. It was a killer opener and worthy finals for the Women’s Pure Tournament.

30-minute Iron Man match: Nigel McGuiness vs. Lee Moriarty

McGuinness is often called the greatest Pure Champion in Ring of Honor history. Moriarty is no slouch either, holding said title for 498 days as of today, becoming the longest reigning Pure Champion. This match is nothing but an absolute gift to wrestling fans and can be justifiably called a classic before the show has even started.

McGuinness came to the ring with his “classic” Pure Title belt, setting the tone for this technical clash. Moriarty came to the ring with Shane Taylor, which also set a certain tone (a rumbling one).

The bell rang, the clock started and the “Holy sh*t” chants began. The two chain wrestled for the first minute or so, with McGuinness wrapping Moirarty’s wrists in various locks and holds before Moriarty kicked him off.

Neither man was in a rush here, using every second of the thirty minutes to place very deliberate and clearly thought out holds. Moriarty started showing a cocky side though, often mugging for the crowd.

The speed picked up about 5 minutes in with a flurry of offense from Moriarty that ended in a Border City Stretch. McGuinness tapped at 26:10, giving Moriarty the first point of the match.

Moriarty started working the clock, stepping out to talk to Taylor and taking his time engaging McGuinness. McGuinnes put on a wrist lock and Moriarty scrambled to the ropes to break it. McGuinness repsonded by grabbing Moriarty’s ear and twisting his head around to work the neck.

From there, the two locked arms and took turns wrenching on them. McGuinness eventually stepped over and hyperextended Moriarty’s arm. McGuinness tried to pick up the pace, but Moriarty kept it as slow as possible to eat up the clock.

McGuinness started getting frustrated at the pace and left an opening for Moriarty to put on an Octopus. McGuinness powered out and locked in an abdominal stretch, but Moriarty was able to get to the ropes to break it.

Moriarty tripped McGuinness onto the second rope and hit a 619. McGuinness went for a Tower of London, but Moriarty slipped out of the ring to run down more time. McGuinness followed and threw some European uppercuts, or as he calls them, Uppercuts.

Moriarty slid back into the ring and grabbed McGuinness in a quick rollup. The Ref counted to three and Moriarty went up 2-0 at 18:30.

McGuinness hit a hammerlock DDT and went back to working Moriarty’s arm. Moriarty reversed it into an ankle lock. McGuinness kicked his way out of it and put on London Dungeon. He was too close to the ropes though and Moriarty grabbed it to break the hold.

McGuinness changed tactics and went to strikes, kicking Moriarty in the back before grape vining the arm again. He got Moriarty in a shoulder stretch in the center of the ring, but Moriarty kicked out. Not before McGuinness hyperextended his arm again.

As the match passed the halfway point, McGuinness put Moriarty on the top turnbuckle. Moriarty pushed him off and hit a high crossbody. He went for an elbow drop, but McGuinness moved and turned it into a London Dungeon. Again, Moriarty was able to get to the ropes to break it.

Moriarty went for a spring board, but McGuinness dodged it and drove him into the corner to chop him as hard as he could. Moriarty reversed it for some chops of his own, but McGuinness poked the eye and regained control.

McGuinness put Moriarty in London Dungeon at 10:45 and Moriarty tapped, giving McGuinness his first point and making it 2-1 in favour of the Pure Champion.

McGuinness went back to the London Dungeon, but Moriarty flipped him over and got a three count to move the score to 3-1 at 9:55.

McGuinness continued working the arm and shoulder of Moriarty, but Moriarty wouldn’t go down. McGuinness put on an inside scissor lock to Moriarty’s arm, before using the London Dungeon again. Moriarty pulled his ankle and McGuinness fell, breaking the hold.

With eight minutes left, Moriarty switched to defense, trading blows with McGuinness while time ticked away. Another London Dungeon with a surfboard element lured Moriarty into a triangle choke. Moriarty resorted to fingerpulling, but McGuinness transitioned in to a Border City Stretch. Moriarty’s toe just grazed the ropes though, ending the hold.

Four minutes were left when McGuinness tried to grab Moriarty, but Moriarty squirmed out of everything. McGuinness went for a figure four, but Moriarty got out of it just in time to eat a flying lariat. McGuinness went for the pin, but Moriarty kicked out.

Moriarty slid to the outside and Shane Taylor stepped between them. That allowed Moriarty to grab McGuinness in a choke, holding it until 7 of the countout before scrambling back into the ring ring. McGuinness followed, but ended up right into a Border City Stretch. McGuinness rolled it over into a pin though, picking up a three-count with just a minute and a half left.

With the score 3-2 and time short, McGuinness and Moriarty ran into each other. With 30 seconds left, McGuinness hit a drop toe hold and pinned Moriarty. He got another quick one, but Shane Taylor knocked McGuinness out and Moriarty got another pin to tie the match at four as time expired.

McGuinness started up the ramp, but Moriarty grabbed a mic and said that they werent finished. Surprising no one officials decided that the match would go to one more fall, sudden death.

McGuinness returned to the ring and tried to steal one quick, but Moriarty kicked out. McGuinness tried two quick rollups, but no dice. The two rolled through a bunch of times, but neither could score the pin. The two rolled around until Moriarty was able to get a bridge pin and win the match, 5-4 in overtime.

Match Result: Lee Moriarty defeated Nigel McGuinness

After the match, McGuinness quieted the crowd and handed his classic Pure Title belt to Moriarty. The two bowed to each other, showing the ultimate respect to the passing of the torch.

27 minutes of that match were amazing. The quick pins to tie things up at the end were too fast and just made things confusing. I know what they were trying to do, but someone needs to let wrestling know that it’s ok for an iron man match to just end. They don’t ALL need to go to overtime.

-Next, Moxley decided that he was done with commentary and grabbed a mic to address his hometown Ohio crowd. He cut a promo on Konosuke Takeshita who he will face on Collision tomorrow. Then he left.

ROH Women’s Television Championship: Mercedes Mone (c) vs Red Velvet

As is required by law, if there is a vacat title in wrestling, it must end up on Mone’s shoulders. Red Velvet carried the TV title for 481 days before she was forced to step back due to injury. That allowed Mone to become the “Interim” champion until the two held a unification match on the Not-ROH show, Collision on November 19th, 2025. Mone won that and Velvet gets a chance at revenge here in the rematch.

Velvet jumped Mone during the introductions and began pounding her on the mat. Mone got back up and went to hit Velvet with her TBS title belt, but the Ref intervened and the two locked up and rolled through a few pinning combinations.

From there, they traded high speed shots until Velvet went for a flipping slam and Mone caight her and dropped her on her head. Money went to a couple of suplexes and earned a two count before hanging Velvet up in the ropes.

Velvet fought back, but Mone put an end to the comeback with a stiff forearm. Mone went for some three amigos suplexes and after the third, thew Velvet to the mat. Mone went up top for a crossbody, but Velvet got the knees up. A groaning Mone came back with a dropkick into the corner.

Mone started talking smack which drew Velvet out of her shell and she started throwing punches and then a big DDT. She executed a bulldog, but Mone kicked out at two. Velvet charged Mone in the corner, but Mone caught her in a lungblower, sending her to the outside.

Mone went for a baseball side, but Velvet caught her and wrapped her up in the ring skirt. Mone fought back and climbed the stairs for a leaping knee strike, driving Velvet into the concrete. Mone threw Velvet back into the ring where Velvet tried a quick pin, but no victory.

Mone tried to set Velvet up for the Money Maker, but Velvet reversed it. Mone grabbed her and set her on the turnbuckle. Mone set Velvet up for a super Money Maker, but Velvet fought back and hit a sunset flip into a two count.

Velvet hit a Stir It Up Kick, but Mone kicked out at two. She went for a big right hand, but Mone hit a lungblower to get a two count of her own.

Mone got up first and set Velvet up on the turnbuckle. She went for a Gut wrench from the second rope, but Velvet reversed it into a destroyer. She went for Mama’s Kitchen, but Mone kicked out at two and a half.

Mone pulled Velvet face down onto the bottom rope, stunning her. She set her up for the Money Maker, but Velvet turned it into a face buster. Velvet hit a spinning kick and Mone grabbed her in a crossface. Velvet got her foot on the ropes and used it to kick over and pin Mone to regain the ROH Women’s Television Title.

Match Result: Red Velvet defeated Mercedes Mone

That was, as one old Oklahoman would say, a Slobberknocker. Those two beat the hell out of each other. The finish was a little quick, but no one thought Mone was going to be sticking around ROH so Velvet winning was no big shock. She earned it though and I’m looking forward to her next feud.

Vacant ROH Tag Team Championship: The Beast Mortos & Sammy Guevara vs. Adam Priest & Tommy Billington

Guevara had a long run with the belts with Dustin Rhodes as his partner, until Rhodes had to vacate for injury reasons. Then, he had a reign with Rush, who had to vacate for injury reasons. The lesson here? Mortos should be careful being Guevara’s partner. As for Priest and Billington, they are a great team and great wrestlers, but it’s kind of strange that they get the shot here and nhot one of the more established ROH team. But I digress.

Billington and Priest came to the ring with Jay Lethal for some reason, who left when they got there.

Guevara and Billington started things off. Guevara took a little too long showboating and Billington went to work with hard strikes and technical holds. Guevara grabbed Billington’s nose to break a hold and went back to showboating while the crowd chanted for Mortos.

Guevara gave them what they wanted and tagged in Mortos. Priest did the same and charged him. Mortos no-sold the shoulder tackle and Priest ducked a Mortos charge into the corner. Priest didn’t waste any time and peppered Mortos with shots.

Billington tagged in and got Mortos off his feet with a jumping kick. Priest joined him for a douible team back body drop while Guevara stole Ian Riccaboni’s headset and joined commentary for a moment. Mortos knocked Priest down and shoved Billington off the apron. He tagged in Guevara who took some shots at the depleted Priest.

Guevara pretended he was going for Spanish fly, but then just kicked Priest in the face before tagging Mortos back in. Priest tried to escape, but Mortos followed him and dragged him back into the ring. Mortos hit a lungblower on Billington and Guevara followed it up with a knee from the top rope.

Mortos and Guevara isolated Priest in their corner and took turns beating him up. Priest fought back though, biting Mortos. That just seemed to make Mortos madder, and he continued the beating until Priest was able to slip a DDT in and tag Billington.

Billington cleaned house and went up top, hitting Mortos with a missile dropkick. Billington started to make headway, but Guevara entered the fray, giving Mortos a second to regain his composure. Mortos got Billington in an electric chair and Guevara went to make it a Doomsday Device but Billington ducked it.

Priest and Billington combined for a suplex/lariat on Mortos, knocking him off his feet. They went for a double suplex, but Mortos threw them off. Priest managed to land a hirricanrana and Billington went up top. Hechicero got involved out of nowhere and Guevara hit a low blow on him in the melee.

Mortos went up top for a moonsault, landed it and pinned Billington to win the match and the ROH Tag Titles for him and Guevara.

Match Result: The Beast Mortos & Sammy Guevara defeated Adam Priest & Tommy Billington

So, does this make Guevara a three-time tag champ? He’s definitely the first three-time tag champ who has never actually lost the titles.

Eddie Kingston vs. Josh Woods

Eddie Kingston is great. Josh Woods is great. So lets watch them hit each other for a bit, shall we? This is actually a tune-up match for Kingston’s upcoming match with AEW Champion Samoa Joe. As I look at the clock and see that this show has been on for three hours and there are still five matches to go, I can say yes, this is a good use of ROH time.

I’ll say this though: Kingston looks great. He’s really slimmed down and while he hasn’t lost his brawler edge, he looks very fit.

The bell rang and they grappled into the corner. Woods tried a takedown, but Kingston turned it into a series of stomps. Woods then hit a springboard knee to the head and put on a key lock, working Kingston’s arm.

The two started trading strikes with Woods pounding Kingston’s arm before whipping him into the corner. Woods threw some splashes and knees in the corner before suplexing Kingston into a two count.

Kingston got up and started throwing machine gun chops in the corner. Woods grabbed him into an armbar and Kingston wailed in pain. He finally reached the ropes and Woods was forced to break the hold. Woods went back to working the arm, but Kingston turned it into a lariat in the corner.

Kingston delivered a second rope suplex to Woods, but only got a two count. Woods fought back, driving his knee into Kingston’s shoulder. Woods went for a bridge pin, but Kingston grabbed the ropes. Kingston caught Woods in a springboard and turned it into an exploder.

The straps came down and Kingston dumped Woods down with a DDT to get the pin.

Match Result: Eddie Kingston defeated Josh Woods

Hey, that’s great. I’m glad that Eddie could have this practice match before taking on Samoa Joe. That’s called SYNERGY, friends.

ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championship: Shane Taylor Promotions (c)(Shane Taylor, Carlie Bravo & Shawn Dean vs Skyflight (Scorpio Sky, Dante Martin & Darius Martin)

STP are the most dominant group in wrestling right now. They kick ass, talk trash and no one has come close to taking those belts since they won them at Death Before Dishonor. Also, I accidentally typed “Skyfight” instead of Skyflight and I think they might have missed an opportunity there.

All six men brawled off the top, with Sky and Dean remaining in the ring. When the dust settled, Darius had tagged in and brought Dante with him. They double teamed Dean and Darious tagged back in, bringing Sky with him. Dean drove Sky into the STP corner and all three started punching him.

Taylor tagged in and he and Sky threw hands. Dean tagged in and went for the BBC but Sky moved and sent Dean to the mat before diving through the ropes to take out Taylor. Bravo then dove onto Sky, completing the Sky-fecta.

Taylor and Darius faced off in the ring and Darius made the mistake of throwing hands. Taylor knocked him silly and hit a 747 splash before tagging in Bravo for a devastating shoulder block. Dean joined him and they went for a double back body drop, but Darius saw it coming and kicked them both. Bravo responded with a DDT and the dance continued.

STP took turns splashing Darius in the corner and then Dean leapt over the top rope to take out Dante and Sky. That made Dante made and he cleaned house coming in off of a hot tag. He even leapt off the top rope onto Taylor on the outside.

Dante and Bravo remained legal as Trish Adora grabbed Dante’s ankle. Turnabout was fair play and Leila Grey grabbed Bravo’s ankle. That brought both women into the ring and then started throwing punches. That allowed Anthony Agogo to get in the ring, but Christopher Daniels cut him off. That left Bravo and Dante in the ring and Dante hit a slingshot cutter to get a two count, broken up by Dean.

Taylor came in and Dante hit a DDT form the top rope to send him packing. Bravo hit a Carlie Crossover and Sky came in on a blind tag and took out both Infantry members. Taylor reached through the ropes and knocked Darious into nest week, allowing Bravo to stack him up and get the victory to retain the titles.

Match Result: Shane Taylor Promotions defeated Skyflight

I loves me some STP and this was as hard hitting as they come. I love it when STP takes on teams that can fly with the Infantry and it made for some exciting action.

AEW National Championship: Ricochet (c) vs Dalton Castle

Inaugural AEW National Champion Ricochet defends the title he won two weeks ago in a Casino Gauntlet Match here against Dalton Castle because, why not? Ricochet? Good! Castle? Gooder! An AEW title defended on an ROH event for the first time? Again, why not?

Off the top, the two chain wrestled, with Ricochet matching Castle’s technical prowess blow for blow. Ricochet went for an elbow drop, but Castle dodged it and started working the core with an alligator roll. Castle ragdolled Ricochet for a bit, but Ricochet escaped and went out of the ring.

A frustrated Ricochet threw chairs, kicked stairs and then made the mistake of kicking on of Castle’s Boys. That brought him out of the ring, and Ricochet scrambled back in to land a corkscrew dive. He tossed Castle back in and started hitting Stone Cold style elbows off the ropes.

Castle fought back, driving Ricochet into the corner. Ricochet picked up the speed and landed a pendulum dropkick to get a two count. Ricochet went up top, but Castle rolled out of the ring. Ricochet threw him back in and went up top again, but Castle rolled out of the ring one more time.

This happened three times while the crowd chanted “roll forever.”

Castle snapped to attention after that though and caught Ricochet, delivering a huge suplex. The Boys cheered as Castle threw Ricochet around the ring, hitting suplex after suplex. Castle went for a Bangarang, but Ricochet turned it into a sunset flip followed by a running shooting star press.

Castle ducked a lariat and almost got a Bangarang on, but Ricochet reversed it into an around the world DDT for a two count. Ricochet went up top for a flipping slam, but Castle moved. Ricochet brought Castle out onto the apron, but it didn’t work out as Castle suplexed him on the apron (the boy-est part of the ring!).

Back in the ring, Castle went for Bangarang again and finally landed it. He covered Ricochet, but only got a two count. Ricochet hit a spirit gun before Castle could recover and got the pin to retain the AEW National Title.

Match Result: Ricochet defeated Dalton Castle

I love ultra-serious Ricochet taking on the weird and wonderful Castle. This was a fun match and I’m glad it happened, but I’m also pretty excited to move on to the first part of the double main event!

Survival of the Fittest match for the ROH World Championship: Bandido (c) vs Blake Christian vs The Beast Mortos vs Sammy Guevara vs Komander vs Hechicero

Bandido has carried the ROH title for 244 days after winning it from Chris Jericho. He’s defended it in some of the best matches I’ve seen all year, against all comers, including Hechicero. Komander has been tearing it up recently (defeating Mortos just last night) but the rest of the field in this match are headscratchers. Guevara and Mortos are a tag team (and now Champions), so will they help or hinder one another? Christian, for his part, complained his way into the match, like you do.

The bell rang and alliances were quickly formed. Guevara, Mortos and Hechicero, Bandido and Komander, and Christian was left alone because only Lee Johnson likes Christian. After some posing and crowd work, the fight began with Bandido, Komander and Christian bailing form the ring.

Guevara, Mortos and Hechicero went after Bandido and Komander and Christian casually watched from the entrance ramp. In the ring, Guevara tried to take Komander’s mask off while Hechicero wrapped Bandido’s ankle in a chair on the outside.

Hechicero entered the ring and stomped Komander with Mortos. Christian asked if he could play and Hechicero and Mortos surrounded him. Christian flew through the ropes and he and Guevara had a really fun high-speed exchange. Guevara came off the ropes and Christian hit him with a Spanish Fly.

Mortos then hit a bulldog on Christian. Jay Lethal was shown on a monitor disapproving of Guevara using his strut.

In the ring, Mortos and Guevara turned on Hechicero, stomping him in the corner. Hechicero fought back, but it was short lived as the stomping continued. Hechicero got some momentum, sending Mortos into the corner and hitting a backbreaker on Guevara.

Bandido and Komander entered and sent Hechicero packing to the outside. Christian followed him with a dive and then threw him back into the ring, trying to ally himself with Bandido and Komander. They didn’t buy it and kicked him out.

Komander and Bandido got together for the sickest top rope DDT I’ve ever seen on Hechicero and Christian. Komander then stood on Bandido’s shoulders and leapt out of the ring to take out Guevara, Christian and Hechicero. Then Bandido did the same to Mortos.

Christian wandered back into the ring just in time to take a double back elbow from Bandido and Komander. Komander hoisted Christian up and threw him onto Bandido’s knees. Komander and Bandido were about to face off when Guevara came in and knocked them both down.

Bandido hit an x-Knee and Komander hit his springboard 450 to pin and eliminate Guevara. That made Mortos mad, and he entered and hit a pop up samoan drop on Komander, a backbreaker on Christian and a big shoulder block on Hechicero.

Komander hit s spingboard poisonrana and Bandido landed a German suplex on Mortos. Christian then used Komander as a springboard to hit a Canadian destoryer on Mortos. That allowed Hechicero to slide in and hit a driver to pin and eliminate Mortos, clearing LFI from the match.

Hechicero put a cross armbar on Bandido, trying to get him to tap, but Christian broke it up. Hechicero turned his attention to Komander, but Komander dodged it. Bandido got Hechicero on his shoulder and slammed him. Bandido and Komander went up top, but Christian climbed up and hit a double poisonrana. He then hit a Lethal Injection on Komander, pinning and eliminating him.

Bandido, Hechicero and Christian remained and Hechicero and Christian joined forces to beat up Bandido. They took turns working him over, but Christian tried to roll up Hechicero, ending the budding friendship.

Bandido hurricanrana’d Hechicero out of the ring and then tossed Christian onto him. Bandido was the only one standing and he sent Christian back into the ring. Hechicero went up top and hit a frog splash, but Christian kicked out at two.

Bandido went for the 21-plex, but Christian reversed it into a Lethal Injection. He went for the pin, but Bandido kicked out. Christian went for a second Injection, but Bandido caught him with an X-Knee. Hechicero took advantage, hitting a spinning hammerlock backbreaker.

Hechicero grapevined Christian’s legs, twisting and turning him. Bandido got up and Hechicero put a Sleeper on him. Christian charged and Bandido broke free and hit a mexican destroyer to pin Christian, eliminating him.

That made Christian really mad and he hit a shoulder breaker on Bandido on his way out. Hechicero went for Bandido and continued working the previously injured shoulder. He grabbed the steel steps, but doctors came out to check Bandido before he could do anything with them.

Hechicero demanded a countout and the ref held him at bay while they checked on Bandido. Bandido climbed back into the ring and Hechicero brought a chair in. The ref removed it and Bandido started chopping Hechicero with one arm.

Hechicero threw him off and sent him to the corner for some punches to that injured shoulder. Hechicero suplexed Bandido on the ring apron, driving him shoulder first into the mat. He then placed the stairs next to the apron for a pile driver, but Bandido blocked it. Hechicero dove over the top rope, but Bandido moved and Hechicero landed on the steel steps.

Bandido got back in the ring and dove out onto Hechicero, quickly bringing him back into the ring for a frog splash. Hechicero kicked out at two though. Bandido started chopping Hechicero who demanded more.

Hechicero hit a flapjack and then rolled Bandido around, putting more pressure on the injured shoulder. Bandido then hit a poisonrana into a quick rollup to get the 1-2-3, eliminate Hechicero and retain the ROH World Title.

Match Result: Bandido survived Blake Christian, The Beast Mortos, Sammy Guevara, Komander, and Hechicero

After the match, Brody King came to the ring to congratulate his tag team partner.

That was a fun match, I love the Survival of The Fittest match concept and with the talent in the match, it was guaranteed to deliver. These multi-person matches can drag, but this one was well timed, with the eliminations coming fast enough, but not too fast. Great effort from everyone involved.

ROH Women’s Championship: Athena (c) w/Diamante vs Persephone

As of this writing, Athena has held the ROH Women’s World Championship for a measly 1092 days. Persephone is making waves coming out of CMLL, but I don’t konw if she has it to end the reign of the Forever Champion.

The two locked up and Persephone sent Athena into the corner. They were pretty evenly matched strength-wise and Athena was doing her best to get into the head of Persephone. Fed up, Persephone slapped her and they locked up in a test of strength.

Athena came out on top and tried for a pin, but Persephone arched her back, lifting her shoulders. Persephone popped up and hit a hurricanrana. Athena rolled out of the ring, demanding “time out.” after a quick discussion with Diamante, Athena re-entered the ring.

Athena tried to get the drop on Persephone, but she saw it coming and dropkicked Athena to the mat. Athena exited the ring again and Persephone followed. Athena got the jump on her, but Persephone countered and sent Athena into the barricades twice.

Persephone went to throw Athena into the stairs, but Diamante got between them, allowing Athena to leap off the stairs and drive her knees into Persephone’s back. Athena threw her back into the ring, but was favouring her back as she climbed in after her.

Athena started driving knees into Persephone’s sides, then hung her up on the ropes for some stiff kicks. Athena picked up the speed and suplexed Persephone in spite of the pain in her back. Persephone tried to fight back, but Athena knocked her down and hit a running senton.

Athena pulled Persephone up by the hair and threw her into the corner. Athena charged, but Persephone moved out of the way and grabbed her in a tilt-o-whirl backbreaker. Athena got caught by Persephone again for another backbreaker. Persephone then repeatedly drove her knees into Athena’s back, finishing up with a standing surfboard.

Persephone sent Athena into the corner, smashing her face on the turnbuckle. She stomped Athena on the bottom rope and then threw her into the corner. Athena put a big boot up and tried a waistlock takedown but Persephone punched her in the back. Athena left the ring and Persephone followed. They started throwing punches and Athena sent Persephone into the barricades.

Persephone came back and lifted Athena up by the throat, slamming her onto the announce table. Persephone threw her back into the ring and knocked Athena down with a huge kick. The two ran the ropes and then ran into each other with a double clothesline.

They got back to their feet and Persephone sent Athena back down with a pump-kick. She stomped Athena in the corner and started throwing fists and chops at her. She went for a stalling splash, but Athena dropkicked her, sending Persephone to the outside. Athena dove through the ropes onto her. She tried it again, but Persephone caught her in mid air and turned it into a fallaway slam.

Persephone went for a powerbomb, but Diamante made the save. Athena tried to throw a forearm, but Persephone ducked and she hit Diamante. Persephone threw Athena back into the ring and went up top for a shotgun dropkick. She went for a cover but Athena kicked out at two.

Persephone put Athena in a Texas Cloverleaf, well out of reach of the ropes. Athena struggled but finally made it there, breaking the hold. Persephone charged, but Athena caught her in a flapjack on the top rope. Athena hit a springboard Moonsault, but Persephone kicked out.

Persephpone hoisted Athena up for a Razor’s Edge, but Athena reversed it into a Koji Clutch. Persephone was able to get up though and Athena broke the hold with some running knees. She grabbed her again and re-applied the Koji Clutch. After some time, Persephone was able to get her foot on the ropes.

Athena got up first and started kicking Persephone. Persephone caught her leg and went for a bridge after a series of Northern Lights Suplexes. Persephone went for another Razor’s Edge, this time hitting it in the middle of the ring. Somehow, Athena kicked out though.

Persephone went up top but Athena scrambled up and hit a suplex, dropping her on her head. Athena went up and hit an O-Face and that was it. She pinned Persephone 1-2-3 and retained her title. Athena will see 1100 days as Champion.

Match Result: Athena defeated Persephone

ROH PPV events never fail to deliver and honestly for $10, they are absolutely worth the money. It was a damn good night of wrestling and a great way to finish out the 2025 ROH PPV slate.

Ring of Honor World Women’s Champion Athena will put her title on the line against recent rival Harley Cameron as part of tonight’s ROH on HonorClub.

Cameron is looking for her first AEW or ROH title while Athena is hoping to extend a 1000+ day run. This match comes out of Cameron pinning Athena in a recent AEW World Tag Team title tournament match.

The Costo Guys will make an appearance as they will back up QT Marshall as he takes on Jacked Jameson. Marshall and Big Boom AJ will take on RPG Vice at Saturday’s Full Gear.

CMLL’s Persephone will be in action.

Top Flight will take on The Infantry as a potential ROH Six-Man Tag Team title match looms in the distance.

In a pair of Pure Rules bouts, Deonna Purrazzo will take on Viva Van while Billie Starkz battles Katie Arquette.

The undefeated Satnam Singh will also be in action.

**********

Thursday night brings thrills! Chills! Hot Wrestling Action! And also Satnam Singh will have a “match” here on Ring of Honor on Honorclub!

The show kicked off with Athena interrupting a Billie Starkz interview. The champ made an “apology” for picking Mercedes Mone as her tag team partner and she and Starkz tried to hug Lexy Nair, former minion.

ROH Women’s World Title Match: Athena (c) vs. Harley Cameron

Immediately following that, the Women’s World Title match kicked off with precious cargo Harley Cameron receiving a big ovation. Athena came to the ring alone with a graphic touting her current 69-0 record as Champion.

Cameron started off with a series of armdrags and shoulder blocks. Athena tried one of her own, but Cameron rolled through into a one-count. Cameron worked the arm of Athena and the two traded dropkicks until Cameron hit a side russian leg sweep for another one-count.

Athena racked Cameron’s neck on the ropes, followed by a side effect on the ring apron (the Aussiest part of the ring!). Athena started throwing punches into Cameron’s back, tossing her into the corner for some chops and a high foot to the throat.

Athena kicked Cameron in the chest and went for a cover, but only a two count. She fish hooked Cameron’s face and threw her into the corner, screaming that she was “nothing!” Athena landed a fierce punch out of the corner and Cameron seemed dazed.

Cameron fought back with some elbows to the gut of Athena, but lost the momentum when Athena put on a headlock. She missed on a senton, allowing Cameron to stack her for a two count. Athena picked up the speed after that, throwing Cameron’s head at the mat.

Cameron blocked a charge in the corner and splashed Athena, followed by a sling blade. She landed a shining wizard, but only got a two count as Athena kicked out. The two traded waistlocks and Athena hit a spingboard crossbody off the second rope.

Athena clubbed Cameron’s back on the ropes, but Cameron ducked back when she threw a knee and hit a Soul Food that sent Athena to the outside. Cameron threw Athena into the apron and the barricade before trying a suplex. Athena blocked it and grabbed Cameron, throwing her into the corner of the barricade and then the ringpost.

Athena threw Cameron back into the ring, but took a little took long working the crowd from the top rope. Cameron kicked her and the two traded punches. Cameron landed a superplex on Athena followed but a pumphandle back suplex for a two count.

Athena suffered a backstabber at the hands of Cameron and Cameron locked in an STF. Athena started biting Cameron’s arm, forcing her to break the hold. Athena twisted Cameron into a Koji clutch and Cameron tapped out, giving the 70th win to Athena.

Match Result: Athena defeated Harley Cameron

Killer match off the top! Cameron is a superstar waiting to break out and Athena is the best champion in wrestling. I’m really glad to see her back around the ROH halls.

Pure Rules Match: Billie Starkz vs. Katie Arquette

After a half-effort code of honor, the clock started and Arquette used her first and second rope breaks within the first thirty seconds. Starkz kept grabbing her in headlocks and pushing her into the ropes, forcing the breaks.

Arquette reversed a headlock next and Starkz pushed her into the ropes, meaning Starkz was charged a rope break at 1:36. Immediately after that, Starkz was given her only warning for a closed fist as she clocked Arquette square in the face.

Starkz appeared frustrated and started stomping Arquette. She whipped her into the corner and hit a falling DDT after that. Starkz went up top, but Arquette rolled out of the way. She planted Starkz with a headscissor and then a bronco buster in the corner.

Starkz raked the eyes and then hit a brainbuster on her own knee, but Arquette Kicked out. Starkz went up top for a diving swandive and that was it. Starkz got the victory with a quick pin.

Match Result: Billie Starkz defeated Katie Arquette

After the match, Deonna Purrazzo arrived at the toop of the ramp, crossing paths with Starkz who tried to give her a cheap shot. Purrazzo shrugged it off and Starkz slunk away.

Pure Rules Match: Deonna Purrazzo vs. Viva Van

Purrazzo reversed a waistlock off the top, but Van was able to knock her back right away. She hoisted Purrazzo up on her shoulders, but Purrazzo got free. The two traded moves until Purrazzo hit a big lariat to send Van to the mat.

Purrazzo tried a pile driver, but Van blocked it. The two traded forearms with Purrazzo transitioning into chops until Van hit a European uppercut followed by an axe kick to the back of the head. Van went up top, but Purrazzo got out of the way and threw a knee followed by a side Russian leg sweep and armbar. Van got to the ropes and used her first break at 2:51.

Van continued with the kicks to Purrazzo’s head, but Purrazzo responded with a powerbomb and another armbar in the center of the ring. Van had no choice but to tap and give the victory to Purrazzo.

Match Result: Deonna Purrazzo defeated. Viva Van

After the match, Billie Starkz returned and jumped Purrazzo from behind. She threw a spinning heel kick at Purrazzo’s head and stomped off, leaving Purrazzo out cold in the ring.

-Next, Persephone appeared backstage and called out Athena. She challenged her for Final Battle saying she was going to end Athena’s story.

Satnam Singh vs JP Grayson

OK, let’s do this. Singh came to the ring. The bell rang.

Grayson tried to suplex Singh. Singh threw him at the ground.

Singh charged him in the corner. Chop. Chop. Throw. Military Press. Chokeslam.

The end. #LOLSinghwins.

Match Result: Satnam Singh defeated JP Grayson

QT Marshall vs Jacked Jameson (w/ Cole Karter, Griff Garrison and Preston Vance)

Jameson said that this was his first singles match in ROH and that is actually surprisingly true. He hasn’t had a singles match in ROH despite being there since mid 2023.

Anyway, Marshall came to the ring with Big Boom AJ and Big Justice to watch his back and offset the Frat House numbers game, which I have to say, was pretty smart of him.

The bell rang and Marshall went right to Jameson who did not take off his baseball cap for the match. Marshall threw Jameson out of the ring and followed with a dive to take out all four. He dragged him back into the ring (sans baseball cap) and Jameson sent QT over the top rope where the Frat House stomped him.

Jameson started throwing elbows and and forearms in the corner, sending Marshall reeling. Marshall started powering up and hit an insiguri. He hit a Cookie Cutter and that was it. Marshall pinned Jameson.

Match Result: QT Marshall defeated Jacked Jameson

After the match, the Frat House surrounded the ring, but Big Justice took out Vance and Big Boom hit a powerbomb on Garrison. Then Rocky Romero and Trent Barretta arrived and beat them up, taking out Marshall with Barretta’s cast.

They did the same to AJ and then wen for Big Justice. Romero pushed him out of the way and grabbed a chair. They put AJ’s arm in the chair and Romero stomped it from the top rope.

-Footage was then shown from Collision, where Mercedes Mone cut a promo on Kris Statlander with the ROH Women’s TV title on her shoulder. That was about all it had to do with Ring of Honor because at Full Gear, Mone and Statlander will meet for the AEW Women’s World Title.

Persephone vs Valentina Rossi

Persephone went right to a head lock and dragged Rossi to the mat. Rossi threw her off, but Persephone hit a shoulder block followed by a hurricanrana. Rossi fought back with a splits slam and some really vicious elbows to Persephone’s traps.

Persephone leapt out of a whip to the corner and clubbed Rossi in the face. Rossi tried to steal one but only got a one count. The two rolled around until Persephone landed a powerful dropkick. She tried a suplex, but Rossi blocked it and countered with a slam.

Persephone hit a bridgeed slam, and then threw Rossi in a crucifix. That was enough and Persephone got the pin and the victory.

Match Result: Persephone defeated Valentina Rossi

After the match, Athena arrived and marched to the ring. Seemingly accepting Persephone’s earlier challenge, the two stood toe-to-toe in the ring until Diamante attacked Persephone from behind. She held Persphone while Athena screamed that Ring of Honor is “her show!” and slammed Persephone’s head into the mat.

The Infantry (Carlie Bravo & Shawn Dean) (w/Trish Adora) vs. Top Flight (Dante Martin & Darius Martin) (w/Christopher Daniels & Leila Grey)

Two-thirds of the ROH World Six Man Champions came to the ring for a 2-on-2 match with the Martin brothers of Top Flight. These guys have a long history as both teams have had great success in ROH. The Infantry hooked up with Shane Taylor Promotions and Top Flight were taken under the wing of Christopher Daniels.

A brawl broke out off the top with all four men fighting. The Infantry tried to double team Dante, but he fought them off and Darious joined him. They sent Bravo and Dean to the outside and Darius threw Bravo back in to be legal against Dante.

Quickly, Dean tagged in and hit a spear through the ropes on Dante. he added a second one sending him into the corner so he and Bravo could double team the isolated Martin brother. Bravo hit a spinning backbreaker and Dante reached for a tag, but was cut off.

Bravo hit a down low drop kick and held Dante so Dean could punch him in the stomach. Dean stayed in and pounded on Dante, keeping him from a tag and whipping him into the corner. Dean hit a Bronco Buster.

Bravo tagged in and hit an inverted atomic drop. Dante fought back, but took a big cutter from Dean. Bravo put on a headlock and brought Dante to the mat. Dante reached for a tag, but Dean cut him off. Darious, frustrated complained to the ref, but that just gave the Infantry a chance to double team Dante.

Dante finally got the hot tag to Darius who took out Bravo with some kicks and stomps. Darius threw a cutter and then hit a bridged suplex for a two count. Dante tagged back in and the two double teamed Bravo. Dean tried to help, throwing Darious out of the ring.

Dante and Bravo were legal, but Dean came in for a double neckbreaker. The pin was broken up by Darius though. Bravo threw Dari=us crotch-first into the ringpost on the outside and grabbed the Six Man belts. He slid one to Dean, but the Ref saw and took it away. Dante took advantage and landed a sunset flip to pin Dean and get the win.

Match Result: Top Flight defeated the Infantry

After the match, Shane Taylor stomped down to the ring and he and the Infantry beat down Top Flight. The grabbed Christopher Daniels and were about to take him out, when Scorpio Sky appeared. The ring cleared and he fought Taylor for a moment, sending him to the outside.

Sky grabbed one of the Six Man belts that the Infantry left behind and raised it high, signalling that Sky Flight will get Shane Taylor Promotions at Final Battle.

Ring of Honor TV live results: Athena & Billie Starkz in tag team action

As part of tonight’s Ring of Honor on HonorClub, ROH Women’s World Champion Athena will be in tag team action.

Athena will team with Billie Starkz against Hyan and Maya World ahead of Athena’s title defense against Harley Cameron next Thursday.

In an eight-person tag team match, MxM TV will take on Skyflight.

In a Proving Ground match, ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty will face Willie Mack where the challenger must defeat or draw the champion to earn a future title shot.

The Swirl will be in tag team action while The Outrunners & Dalton Castle will be in trios action.

Rocky Romero and Hechicero of the Don Callis Family will take on Angelico and Serpentico to round out the show.

**********

It’s all about family on this week’s ROH on Honorclub! With two Callis Family matches, Athena and perpetual MiT (kind of like a little sister) Billie Stakz in action and The Martin Brothers holding it down with Scorpio Sky and Leila Grey in Skyfight against MxMxTV. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy, don’t it?

Dalton Castle & The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd) vs Savage King, Warren Johnson & Zack Mason

Speaking of warm and fuzzy, it’s Dalton Castle, The Boys and The Outrunners! All very warm and somewhat fuzzy. Let’s go break some hearts!

We got some Magnum vs Mason action off the top including a brief pose-off. Magnum wrangled Mason into a wristlock and tagged in Floyd to send Mason over with a big back drop. King tagged in, complete with luchadore mask and God of War outfit. He threw hands at Magnum, but Floyd tagged back in and hit a bulldog/clothesling combo on Mason and King.

Castle tagged in and suplexed Johnson across the ring. He followed that up with a stalling double pump german suplex to Mason, and then one to King for good measure.

All six men brawled briefly before the Outrunners hit their double elbow on Johnson followed by a Bangarang from Castle and that was it, the Castle made the pin and then celebrated with the Outrunners.

Match Result: Dalton Castle & The Outrunners defeated Savage King, Warren Johnson & Zack Mason

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Castle and the Outrunners are a match made in heaven. I’d love to see them feud with the Frat House or the ultra-serious STP. With Final Battle three weeks away, hopefully they don’t want until day-of to announce matches for any of these teams.

The Don Callis Family (Hechicero & Rocky Romero) vs Spanish Announce Project (Angelico & Serpentico)

Angelico, Serpentico, Hechicero and Romero. Let’s call this, the “O-Bowl.”

Hechicero started off against Angelico with some almost insultingly soft kicks to the shins. From there, the two traded arm locks until Hechicero got Angelico in a headscissor. Angelico broke free but Hechicero went right back to working the legs, followed by and over the top rope tornado slam.

Angelico picked up some momentum with a series of leg sweeps, but Hechicero dodged most of the offense thrown his way. After a brief dance off, Serpentico and Romero tagged in Serpentico tried to get the crowd to boo him. Romero took exception with this and shoulder blocked him to the mat.

Serpentico hit and around the world and sent Romero into the corner. Romero tried to charge, but Serpentico caught him in a hurricanrana. Serpentico started throwing jabs and kicks in the corner. Hechicero kicked him through the ropes and Romero tossed Serpentico up the ramp.

While Angelico complained to the ref, Hechicero snuck up on him and launched him off the apron. Romero dragged Serpentico back in and Hechicero took over with a surfboard style hold. Romero came in a kicked Serpentico in the side before backing off.

Hechicero started throwing clotheslines in the corner before dragging Serpentico to Romero in the corner. They double teamed Serpentico with Romero hitting a dropkick after Hechicero worked in a rope sleeper.

Serpentico staggered to his feet and tried to fight back, but Romero threw him into the corner for a series of lariats. Serpentico came off the ropes with one of his own that turned Romero inside out. Hot tags were made to Angelico and Hechicero.

Angelico used his reach to clean house, clotheslining Romero and knocking Hechicero back with a series of kicks. Angelico tagged in Serpentico and they double teamed Hechicero with sentons and head kicks. Romero came in though and sent Angelico out of the ring with a hurricanrana. He followed him out with a dive.

Serpentico and Hechicero battled in the ring. Hechicero hit a buckle bomb and then the swinging cobra clutch into a sit-out cobra clutch. Ironically, Serpentico was forced to tap out.

Match Result: The Don Callis Family defeated Spanish Announce Project

-Next, a Harley Cameron ft. the other people in QTV segment aired and Solo and QT talked about the match on the weekend with Big Boom AJ. Cameron interjected with hilarity and talked about her match next week with Athena for the ROH Women’s World Title. Solo asked if she was going to make a puppet, or funny song. Cameron said no, she was just going to beat the sh*t out of Athena instead. Cameron asked “why not me?” and told her to feel the wrath.

Athena & Billie Starkz vs Hyan & Maya World

Seeing Athena back in an ROH ring is always a treat and it should surprise no one to hear that Athena jumped World off the bell and stomped her into the corner before hanging her up in the ropes.

Athena screamed at Carmeron through the camera, allowing Starkz to make a blind tag. Athena was mad as heck about that, but Hyan tagged in as well and knocked them both down. Hyan beat Starkz and Athena around the ring, but Athena came back.

Starkz became legal and took Hyan to the mat with a suplex. She tagged in Athena who brought her usual aggression to Hyan fish hooking her, preventing World from tagging in. Athena went to suplex Hyan after calling her Cameron, but Hyan reversed it. The momentum was short lived as Athena returned to pounding her in the center of the ring.

Starkz tagged in and the two traded throwing knees and strikes at her in the corner. Starkz tagged back out for Athena to hit Hyan with a pump kick to the back. She tried to hoist her up, but Hyan blocked it and hit a DDT.

Athena got a tag to Starkz and Hyan got one to World who went right for Starkz with a roll through stomp that got her a two count. Starkz went right for World’s eyes, raking them and hitting a knee into her back.

Athena pulled Hyan to the outside and threw her into the barricade repeatedly. Athena tagged in with World and smashed her face with a facebuster into a koji clutch. World tapped out, but Athena wouldn’t break the hold until Starkz raised her arm.

Match Result: Athena & Billie Starkz defeated Hyan & Maya World

Always amazing to see Athena work. I know she and Starkz were on a bit of the outs recently, but they seem pretty in tune these days. Can’t wait for next week’s match against Harley Cameron!

The Swirl (Blake Christian & Lee Johnson) vs Vin Parker & Will Allday

It is so much fun to hate the Swirl, and I don’t just mean the name. They are killing it as heels right now and given the athleticism of both Christian and Johnson, they should be in the tag title picture sooner than later.

Allday and Johnson started things off with some snappy chain wrestling. Allday looked really good against Johnson as they flipped and rolled with Allday eventually getting the upper hand with a crossbody. Johnson came right back with a dropkick though.

Christian tagged in with a flying clothesline and started strutting around the ring. Allday got a kick in which gave him a chance to tag in Parker who threw some lariats at Christian. Christian caught him in a kick though and punched him to the mat about it.

Christian wrestled circles around Parker into a leaping dropkick. He knocked Allday off the apron and Johnson joined him for a double team on Parker. Johnson dove over the top rope to take out Parker and Allday and he and Christian hung them up on the barricade.

Christian then hit a flying splash on them both and Johnson threw Parker back into the ring. The Swirl hit their brainbuster finish and that was it, 1-2-3.

Match Result: The Swirl defeated Vin Parker & Will Allday

The Swirl: dumbest name since “Chaz” but great wrestlers.

Lance Archer vs Aaron Solo

Speaking of dumb, Archer jumped Solo as he entered and beat him down to the ring. He then started no-selling chops from Solo, whipping him through for a clothesline.

Archer started throwing fists and elbows in the corner, then hit a bunch of splashes. Solo dodged the last one, but Archer literally stepped on him, stomping him to the ring. Archer called for the chokeslam, but on the way up, Solo kicked him.

Archer picked up Solo by the head and Solo turned it into an around the world DDT followed by a spinning kick. Archer was off his feet and Solo went up top, but Rocky Romero appeared and knocked him off the turnbuckle.

Archer hit the chokeslam followed by the Blackout and that was it.

Match Result: Lance Archer defeated Aaron Solo

I know that Archer’s thing is one-sided squashes and I was glad to see Solo get some offense in, but it was really disappointing that it wasn’t a more competitive match, given Solo’s abilities and name recognition.

Mixed Eight Person Tag Team Match: SkyFlight (Dante Martin, Darius Martin, Leila Grey & Scorpio Sky) vs MxM TV (Johnny TV, Mansoor, Mason Madden & Taya Valkyrie)

Shane Taylor Promotions appeared at Ringside during Skyflight’s entrance, so it can be surmised that one of these teams might be in line for a Six Man Title Shot.

Mansoor offered his tip to Darious, but there was no touching as the bell rang. Mansoor got Darious in a headlock, but Darious came back, dodging an elbow. He tossed Mansoor into the corner and then armdragged him out.

Grey tagged in which brought in Valkyrie, but not before Grey hit a hurricanrana on Mansoor. Valkyrie ate a bulldog from Grey and then TV tagged in. Grey looked like she was going to go for him for a second, but then tagged in Dante. Darious and Sky joined in for a triple team with Sky remaining legal.

Mansoor caused a distraction so that TV could hit a low blow on Sky before he and Mason hit a high/low on Sky. Mason then dropped some elbows and pounded Sky against the mat. Mansoor tagged back in, leaving Sky isolated in the MxMxTV corner where all four wailed on him.

Mansoor threw sky into the corner for an absolutely hilarous 67 joke, but that allowed Sky to grab him for a powerbomb and tag in Dante. Dante kicked Mansoor mercilessly before hitting a springboard crossbody for a pin attempt, broken up by Valkyrie.

That brought in Grey who dragged her out of the ring and a brawl broke out with the men in the ring and the women on the outside.

When the dust settled, Sky and Mason were in the ring. Mason hit a lateral press and went for a pin, but Top Flight broke it up sending him out of the ring. TV and Darious battled in the ring with TV landing a lariat before Sky hit him with a lowdown.

Madden went to deiver a high kick to Dante, but he ducked and Mason hit Mansoor by accident. Darious came in and the planted Mansoor with a double facebuster to get the pin.

Match Result: SkyFlight defeated MxM TV

After the match, Shane Taylor Promotions stormed the ring and took out all the men while Grey and Valkyrie kept fighting on the outside. The Infantry delivered a double cutter to Sky and STP stood tall over him in the ring. Suddenly, Lee Moriarty’s music hit which meant it was time for:

ROH Pure Title Proving Ground Match: Lee Moriarty [c] vs Willie Mack

Lee fought Komander to a time limit draw in the Proving Ground last week, so he was looking to make a statement against Mack. Mack on the other hand makes a statement everywhere he goes, including with his awesome purple and gold gear.

Mack’s pants came off and the 10-minute countdown began. Moriarty isn’t used to facing a man as large as Mack in the Pure division, so there was a bit of a prolonged feeling out process. Moriarty got a wristlock on and Mack reversed it until Moriarty knocked him down.

After a quick cover try, Moriarty locked on the arm of Mack and Mack scooted to the ropes to use his first break at 8:36. Mack put on a headlock then threw Moriarty off the ropes, knocking him down with a shoulder-block.

Moriarty flung himself at Mack, trying to knock him off his feet and managed to succeed with an armdrag. Mack returned the favour with a three-peat of armdrags and a Shining Wizard of all things! Moriarty slipped out of the ring to compose himself and Mack humped the ring. Literally.

Moriarty got back in and found himself on the receiving end of a punch from Mack. Moriarty blocked a hand thrust from Mack and wrapped his arm around the ropes, wrenching it. He bulldogged Mack by the arm and then split his fingers, trying to get him to quit.

Moriarty put on the Border City Stretch, but it was too close to the ropes and Mack used his second rope break at 5:19. Moriarty charged Mack who got him with a pop up punch to the face. Mack was favouring his arm though and as they both got back up, Moriarty started throwing punches.

Moriarty tried to clothesline Mack off his feet, but Mack dodged and threw a forearm that knocked Moriarty senseless. He hit a massive cannonball in the corner and followed that with a swing out slam. Mack’s arm needed popping back into place, which he did on the ropes before hitting a standing moonsault on Moriarty.

Mack hit a one-armed spinebuster on Moriarty and went up to the top turnbuckle with 2:22 left on the clock. Moriarty knocked the ropes and he fell off and right into a Border City Stretch. Moriarty rolled him into the middle of the ring where he couldn’t use a break and Mack tapped out.

Match Result: Lee Moriarty defeated Willie Mack

After the match, Komander appeared on the ramp and he and Moriarty jawed at each other as the show went off the air.

I really do love Moriarty as Pure Champion. He’s having really great matches against really varied opponents. One can probably safely assume that he’s going to face Komander at Final Battle, but we’ll have to see when they make that official (I’m assuming it will be about 15 minutes before bell time).
