Eddie Kingston says he has ‘a long road to go,’ addresses Bryan Danielson on AEW Collision

Eddie Kingston still has a long way to go.

The former ROH World Champion appeared on Saturday’s AEW Collision, saying right off the bat this wasn’t about giving an injury update, as he still had “a long road to go.” Instead, he focused his promo on Bryan Danielson, calling him out over his lack of urgency ahead of All In next Saturday.

Sporting a bushy beard and a large knee brace, Kingston asked Danielson just which version of Danielson this was, as it wasn’t the person who beat him up or the one that wrestled KENTA years ago in Ring of Honor. Kingston said that this version was disrespectful to the sport, and this version was someone who would be beaten by Swerve Strickland at All In. Kingston ended his promo by asking Danielson if he would step up and find that fire, or just go to Wembley Stadium to lose.

Kingston has been out of action since May, tearing his ACL, meniscus, and fracturing his leg in a match against Gabe Kidd at NJPW Resurgence.

Two title matches added to AEW All In

A three-way for the AEW Tag Team titles is now set for All In.

The main event of Saturday’s Collision saw FTR and The Acclaimed wrestle to a 30 minute time limit draw in a match that had been set to determine The Young Bucks’ opponents for August 25. As the two teams argued in the ring, both ended up fighting. Tony Schiavone announced on commentary that Tony Khan had officially made the Wembley Stadium match a three-way.

After being the number one contenders for the AEW Tag Team titles for weeks, The Acclaimed got their shot against The Young Bucks on Wednesday’s Dynamite. The finish of that match had Matthew Jackson attempting to use one of the titles as a weapon. FTR came out to prevent it, but ended up fighting The Young Bucks when Matthew spit in Dax Harwood’s face, causing the match to be thrown out.

Also announced is a London Ladders match for the AEW Trios titles. The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, Nick Wayne, and Killswitch) will face off against The House of Black, The Bang Bang Gang, and a third team yet to be determined. The final slot will be determined in a wildcard match that will take place on Collision next Saturday in Wales.

Here’s the current AEW All In card for Sunday, August 25 from London’s Wembley Stadium:

  • AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland defends against Bryan Danielson
  • AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm defends against Mariah May
  • AEW American Champion MJF defends against Will Ospreay
  • TNT Champion Jack Perry defends against Darby Allin in a coffin match
  • London Ladders match for AEW Trios titles: The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, Killswitch, and Nick Wayne) defend against The Bang Bang Gang, The House of Black, and TBA
  • AEW Tag Team titles: The Young Bucks defend against The Acclaimed and FTR
  • TBS Champion Mercedes Mone defends against Britt Baker
  • Casino gauntlet match for future AEW World title shot
  • FTW Champion Chris Jericho defends against Hook
  • Zero Hour: Willow Nightingale & Tomohiro Ishii vs. Kris Statlander & Stokely Hathaway, winners get to pick stipulation to Nightingale/Statlander CMLL Women’s title match for All Out

Sting on AEW All In 2025 in Texas: I’ll be watching from ‘somewhere’

Sting says he’ll be watching AEW All In from Texas next year.

AEW announced on Friday that All In will be held in Arlington’s Globe Life Field on July 12, 2025. Sting, who lives nearby, responded to the news, writing on X that he will be watching the show from “somewhere.”

“Hmmm… just down the road. I’ll be watching from ‘somewhere,'” he wrote.

Sting has not appeared on AEW programming since his retirement match AEW Revolution. However, Darby Allin recently noted in an interview with WFAA that Sting had been backstage at recent episodes of AEW Collision at the Esports Stadium in Arlington, Texas as he lives close by.

“He’s been backstage at some of the Collisions. I keep telling him you’ve gotta come out and have a mini-golf battle,” Allin said on the show. He continued to say that he is still training Sting’s son, Steven Borden.

“He’s doing really good,” Allin said of Steven’s training. “It’s funny because he’s never had, when it comes to wrestling, he’s never had that itch, like I want to be a pro wrestler. So, he did that spot in Sting’s last match at Revolution where he splashed one of The Young Bucks in the corner and then he just said, ‘Dad, I want to do this.'”

Jim Ross believes he’s scheduled to call Swerve vs. Danielson at AEW All In

It appears that Jim Ross will be providing commentary for the AEW All In main event.

While taking part in a Virtual Gimmick Table session for Highspots yesterday, Ross said he’s getting ready to head to the United Kingdom for All In. The pay-per-view is being held at Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday, August 25. Ross said he believes he’ll be calling the AEW World Championship match between Swerve Strickland and Bryan Danielson.

“I’m getting ready to go to London for AEW. I think I’m scheduled to call the Bryan Danielson-Swerve match,” Ross said. “And that’s gonna be a barnburner — a slobberknocker, if you will. Both of them are hungry, both of them are great.”

This could be the final match of Danielson’s career. It has a stipulation where, if Danielson does not defeat Strickland, he will retire from in-ring competition. Strickland has been AEW World Champion since April.

The 72-year-old Ross announced this March that he signed a new one-year AEW contract where his role is to contribute on commentary for PPV events. Ross told Highspots that, through all of the health issues he’s battled over the last year, he’s “without question” feeling better at the moment. He underwent surgery for a broken wrist last month after tripping over a charging cord at his condo.

Tony Khan: AEW All In will return to London in 2026

After he announced that All In would be heading to Texas in July 2025, AEW head Tony Khan likely eased some minds in the United Kingdom by also announcing that All In would return to London in 2026.

Khan made the statement during the All In: Texas press conference Thursday, but didn’t add any information in terms of a date or a confirmation it would emanate from Wembley Stadium for a third time.

Those details could come as soon as next Sunday’s All In from London.

While London appears to be out for next year, AEW might still be heading out internationally again in 2025 for a major event as news broke this week that they are in advanced talks to run a stadium show in Australia. Khan has yet to address that rumor publicly.

In addition to Wembley, Khan has also ran AEW events in Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York, for their annual Grand Slam Dynamite & Rampage every September.

AEW announces All In Texas stadium show for July 2025

The rumors of AEW running a stadium show in Texas have became a reality as the promotion announced on Thursday that they are bringing All In to the Lone Star State.

The pay-per-view will emanate from Globe Life Field in Arlington on Saturday, July 12th where the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball play. It will be the first pro wrestling show held in the venue.

The lead-up will also feature “a series of events in Arlington” that will be announced in the future, along with ticket info.

During a press conference with city officials, AEW head Tony Khan also confirmed that All In will return to London in 2026 (seen below).

Khan called the Texas event the first-ever stadium show in the United States despite running Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York, several times including this September.

Last month, when asked about the rumors of a stadium event in Texas, Khan denied it, saying “It’s not something that we would be looking to do anytime here in the immediate future. But it is an exciting idea and something I think that we absolutely could do and something that would be very interesting.”

Arlington’s Esports Stadium is where AEW launched their inaugural residency this summer for their weekly Collision show in addition to Ring of Honor tapings. After starting in July, that residency concludes this Saturday.

The All In event is a production of AEW, REV Entertainment, the Arlington Sports Commission, and the City of Arlington. It’s unknown what financial incentives the promotion is being given to host such an event(s).

The announcement is assumed one of those teased by Khan this week which some assume to be the details of a new TV rights deal. News also broke this week that AEW is in advanced planning for their first-ever visit to Australia in 2025 that would also feature a stadium show which they have yet to confirm or deny.

Chris Jericho to defend FTW title against Hook at AEW All In

Image: AEW

Former FTW Champion Hook will try to both gain revenge and his ceremonial title back at this month’s AEW All In as he faces current titleholder Chris Jericho.

Hook conducted an in-ring promo Wednesday on Dynamite where he said he couldn’t see out of the left eye Jericho burned with a backstage fireball. However, he said he could see out of his right eye and wanted to fight Jericho for the title tonight.

Jericho, Big Bill and Bryan Keith then came out and after Jericho pretended he was going to oblige, he declined instead. He then said he would honor the request at All In from London’s Wembley Stadium but with two stipulations that Hook agreed to:

  • If Jericho wins, Hook can never challenge for the title while he’s champion and his business with The Learning Tree is done.
  • He must face Big Bill on Dynamite next Wednesday in Cardiff, Wales.

Jericho defeated Hook for the title at April’s Dynasty and has defended it three times since then, including one time against both Hook and Katsuyori Shibata at May’s Double or Nothing.

  • TBS Champion Mercedes Mone defends against Britt Baker
  • Casino gauntlet match for future AEW World title shot
  • FTW Champion Chris Jericho defends against Hook
  • Zero Hour: Willow Nightingale & Tomohiro Ishii vs. Kris Statlander & Stokely Hathaway

First Casino gauntlet entrant set, stipulation made for Darby Allin vs. Jack Perry at AEW All In

The first entrant for the Casino gauntlet match at this month’s AEW All In is now set after a three-way on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.

Orange Cassidy defeated both Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong in a three-way to determine who would guarantee they have a shot at participating in the gauntlet in which the winner earns a future AEW World title match.

Cassidy pinned O’Reilly with a crucifix after O’Reilly was attempting to get Strong in an armbar as a counter to End of Heartache.

As the rules of the gauntlet match go, two men will start but the bout ends after the first pinfall or submission, meaning the earlier a wrestler enters the better.

**********

After a backstage brawl between TNT Champion Jack Perry and Darby Allin, their title bout for London’s Wembley Stadium is now a coffin match.

After a promo during a video package, Allin came out to the ring and then got jumped by the champion. A brawl ensued and eventually ended up backstage where Perry put Allin under a large bay door and then threatened to roll a cart into his prone head twice before being stopped by security. Perry then called for the new stipulation which was later made official.

At last year’s All In, Perry battled Hook for the FTW title where the infamous “cry me a river” line was uttered that led to a backstage skirmish between he and CM Punk that helped lead to Punk’s exit from the company.

On that same show, Allin competed alongside Sting in a tag team coffin match against Swerve Strickland and Christian Cage. Allin is undefeated in four AEW coffin matches, three of them as a singles wrestler.

  • TBS Champion Mercedes Mone defends against Britt Baker
  • Casino gauntlet match for future AEW World title shot
  • FTW Champion Chris Jericho defends against Hook
  • Zero Hour: Willow Nightingale & Tomohiro Ishii vs. Kris Statlander & Stokely Hathaway

Triller offers first-ever AEW PPV bundles for U.S. audience

With more streaming providers now offering AEW pay-per-views, Triller is attempting to lead the pack by rolling out two separate PPV bundles that will save money for fans.

Officially announced on Monday, the former FITE.tv is packaging together this month’s All In from London’s Wembley Stadium with September’s All Out from Chicago for $84.99 — a 15% discount from buying the two separately at their $49.99 price point.

They also announced plans to offer a triple pack bundle for the final three AEW PPVs of the calendar year: October’s WrestleDream, November’s Full Gear and December’s Worlds End.

While the price hasn’t been announced, the release states, “The bundles provide a significant discount of over 25% compared to buying the individual pay-per-views separately, making them an excellent way to enjoy All Elite’s slate of regular PPV programming on TrillerTV.”

The bundles are also available for international buyers via AEW Plus.

It’s unknown if other AEW PPV providers like WBD-owned Bleacher Report, YouTube and PPV.com will also be able to offer bundled pricing.

In June, Triller announced that fans could buy past AEW PPVs individually or in bundles at a discount.

Casino gauntlet match, Trios title defense announced for AEW All In

With just a few weeks to go until their biggest event of the year, AEW announced two new matches for this month’s All In from London’s Wembley Stadium during Wednesday’s Dynamite.

The popular Casino gauntlet match will make a return for the first time since this past May with the winner earning a future AEW World title shot. Per usual, no participants were announced for the bout which starts with two men and keeps going until there is a winner by pinfall or submission.

The other new addition is a Trios title between The Patriarchy and either the Bang Bang Gang (The Gunns & Juice Robinson) or House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King & Buddy Matthews) following a title eliminator match to take place this Saturday on Collision. Current champion Christian Cage will be the special guest referee for the match as announced by Cage himself.

Here’s the updated card for Sunday, August 25th in London:

  • AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland defends against Bryan Danielson
  • AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm defends against Mariah May
  • AEW American Champion MJF defends against Will Ospreay
  • TNT Champion Jack Perry defends against Darby Allin
  • TBS Champion Mercedes Mone defends against Britt Baker
  • Casino gauntlet match for future AEW World title match
  • AEW Trios Champions The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, Nick Wayne & Killswitch) defend against either House of Black or Bang Bang Gang

Bryan Danielson to retire if he fails to win AEW World title at All In

Bryan Danielson has upped the stakes for his challenge of AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland at next month’s All In from London’s Wembley Stadium.

During a heated promo between the two on Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite based around Danielson’s promises and being present, Strickland was pointing out Danielson’s physical failings and that the title wasn’t a career achievement award.

Danielson then decided to offer up his in-ring career if he fails to defeat Strickland for the title which they shook hands on. Strickland then said Danielson doesn’t need to keep his promise to him, but to his own family.

The 43-year-old has been public in promos with saying he is in the final year of being an active competitor. However, he has never said he would retire from in-ring action this year. During his promo, he said his current AEW contract ends Thursday and that he had promised his family he will never sign another full-time contract again.

Danielson has yet to win AEW gold in his multi-year tenure even after challenging for the belt on several occasions. He earned the opportunity by winning this year’s Owen Hart Foundation men’s tournament.

Strickland will be looking for his fifth successful title defense.

This will be a rematch from an October 2023 Dynamite bout that Danielson won.

Here’s the updated All In card for Sunday, August 25th:

  • AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland defends against Bryan Danielson in a title vs. career match
  • AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm defends against Mariah May
  • AEW American Champion MJF defends against Will Ospreay
  • TNT Champion Jack Perry defends against Darby Allin
  • TBS Champion Mercedes Mone defends against Britt Baker
