Triller offers first-ever AEW PPV bundles for U.S. audience

With more streaming providers now offering AEW pay-per-views, Triller is attempting to lead the pack by rolling out two separate PPV bundles that will save money for fans.

Officially announced on Monday, the former FITE.tv is packaging together this month’s All In from London’s Wembley Stadium with September’s All Out from Chicago for $84.99 — a 15% discount from buying the two separately at their $49.99 price point.

They also announced plans to offer a triple pack bundle for the final three AEW PPVs of the calendar year: October’s WrestleDream, November’s Full Gear and December’s Worlds End.

While the price hasn’t been announced, the release states, “The bundles provide a significant discount of over 25% compared to buying the individual pay-per-views separately, making them an excellent way to enjoy All Elite’s slate of regular PPV programming on TrillerTV.”

The bundles are also available for international buyers via AEW Plus.

It’s unknown if other AEW PPV providers like WBD-owned Bleacher Report, YouTube and PPV.com will also be able to offer bundled pricing.

In June, Triller announced that fans could buy past AEW PPVs individually or in bundles at a discount.

AEW to offer next three PPVs on Triller/FITE for US buyers

After years of B/R Live being the sole domestic streaming source to buy AEW pay-per-views from, the next three AEW PPVs will also be available to purchase on Triller, the former FITE.

That change in availability will begin with next month’s AEW Dynasty and will continue with May’s Double or Nothing and June’s Forbidden Door. It’s unknown what will happen after that point as it was described as a “right now” situation.

On Tuesday, the ability to purchase Dynasty went live on Triller for the traditional $49.99 PPV price. The ability to purchase all three PPVs as a Triple Pack bundle as international buyers are able to do will not be an option for domestic buyers.

The news comes on the heels of last month’s Revolution which was marred by so many technical issues early on that the PPV was made available to buy on Triller for the U.S. audience as the show was going on.

Triller and AEW have been in business together for years as the former offers AEW Plus for international audiences — a monthly subscription package that includes Dynamite, Collision and Rampage. Additionally, that is where AEW PPVs can be purchased.

B/R Live is owned and operated by Warner Bros. Discovery who holds both AEW’s domestic TV rights and PPV streaming rights through what’s believed to be the end of 2024. Dynasty is currently available to purchase on that service.

Impact Wrestling’s Australia events to air as live FITE pay-per-views

FITE has revealed that both of Impact Wrestling’s upcoming Australian shows will air as live pay-per-views.

Impact first announced in May that they would be making their debut “Down Under” on Friday, June 30th and Saturday, July 1st in Wagga, Wagga, New South Wales, Australia. It will be part of a four-day, two show tour that includes a live Conrad Thompson podcast and fan events.

Impact is replacing NJPW on the shows who had to pull out due to talent scheduling issues.

FITE announced a $24.99 bundle for the events. When first announced, Impact stated the shows would be available on their “broadcast platforms, digital and social media.” As FITE was the one to make this announcement Friday, it’s unknown if the shows will also be made available to Impact’s Ultimate Insiders subscribers live and, if not, when.

It will be Impact’s first shows outside North America since a September 2018 event in the United Kingdom.

Current Impact World Champion Steve Maclin, Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo, current Tag Team Champions Chris Bey & Ace Austin, current Digital Media Champion Joe Hendry and the Motor City Machine Guns have already been announced.

MLW to air live events on FITE+

As mentioned by company founder Court Bauer in an interview recently, MLW will move into the live event business and will do so with FITE.tv.

Announced Tuesday, live MLW events will now air on FITE+, their monthly subscription service that gives viewers access to all GCW and Wrestling Revolver events in addition to other indies who have come aboard the service since it refocused last year.

The deal will begin with Never Say Never from Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena on Saturday, July 8th. It’s unknown how many events per year is part of the contract and how many years the deal is for.

While not specifically mentioned, it appears no other weekly MLW TV programming will be moving to FITE as part of the deal. It’s also unknown if matches from the live events will then make up future TV episodes of Fusion or Underground.

While the future of where Underground can be seen domestically is still unknown due to MLW’s situation with Reelz, new episodes of Fusion will being airing on beIN Sports and YouTube on Thursday, May 25th.

JNPO: FITE co-founder Michael Weber on GCW streaming deal, future of FITE+, AEW

One of the big news stories this week in pro wrestling was GCW, Wrestling Revolver and Black Label Pro getting out of the pay-per-view business and moving both live events and their content libraries to FITE+.

While we initially heard from GCW owner Brett Lauderdale, I wanted to hear about the decision from FITE’s perspective.

Enter company co-founder & chief operating officer Michael Weber.

Michael and I talked for 30+ minutes about the future of FITE+ and the decision to bulk up the streaming service including why GCW was such a key component of it. Mike also reveals how many shows GCW plans on running per year as part of the deal.

We talk about the financial importance of AEW+ on FITE for an international audience.

He also dishes about his wrestling front office triple crown past, working for WWE, WCW and TNA (with an ROH consulting stint added in for good measure).

We also talk about the PPV business and some of the barriers to concerts becoming a big part of the equation.

This was a fun conversation that wrestling business aficionados will love.

Wrestling Revolver, Black Label Pro moving live events, content libraries to FITE+

Tuesday saw FITE take more steps toward becoming a player in the pro wrestling streaming space.

The first was announced in the morning as GCW’s future live events and content library are moving to their FITE+ service with the second announced at night with both Wrestling Revolver and Black Label Pro following suit.

Like GCW, subscribers to FITE+ now have access to both both companies’ entire libraries and future live events. Wrestling Revolver next runs on November 12th for Smoke ‘Em If Ya Got ‘Em while Black Label Pro runs on the same date with Slamilton.

FITE+ costs $4.99 a month or $49.99 for a year and includes catalogs from companies like the NWA, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, Top Rank, and more.

The Iowa & Ohio based-Wrestling Revolver, owned by Sami Callihan, didn’t have a streaming home and was strictly on pay-per-view while the Crown Point, Indiana-based Black Label Pro is moving from IWTV.

GCW live events, entire archive moving to FITE+ streaming service

GCW is moving to FITE.tv on a full-time basis.

Company owner Brett Lauderdale announced Tuesday that moving forward, all future live GCW events will be available on the FITE+ service in addition to their entire back catalog.

While the back catalog is available starting today, their first live event will air on November 12th with the Nick Gage Invitational in Chicago.

FITE+ costs $4.99 a month or $49.99 for a year and includes catalogs from companies like the NWA, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, Top Rank, and more.

Talking to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Lauderdale said that in talking with FITE, the company is willing to make the investments into their platform and service to the point GCW is ready to commit to them and leave their pay-per-view model behind.

He sees this as an opportunity to expand to new fans who are subscribers to FITE+ and to make past shows available to newer GCW fans.

It also appears as though the annual Collective shows during WrestleMania weekend will also be part of the FITE+ service. Lauderdale said they have to work out some of the details as there are different organizations involved from around the world, but he expects all the events that weekend to be available.
