ROH TV live results: Athena vs. Maya World

The 160th episode of Ring of Honor on Honor Club is set to air tonight.

It will be the first episode to air following the March 22 tapings in Jacksonville.

As of this writing, three matches have been announced for the show, including Athena defending the ROH Women’s World Championship against Maya World. The match comes after World and Athena went to a time-limit draw in a Proving Ground match that was filmed on March 1, also held at WJCT Studios in Jacksonville.

Persephone defends the CMLL World Women’s title against Lacey Lane, and Red Velvet defends the ROH World TV title against Trish Adora.

Matches for this week’s episode were taped on March 22 in Jacksonville. Ring of Honor then heads to Windsor, Ontario, Canada on Friday, March 27 for a joint show with Scott D’Amore’s Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling.

Our live coverage kicks off at 7 p.m. Eastern.

***********

Don’t tell me what to do! I’m not starting this recap until 7:01, so eat it!

…. 7:00:57, 7:00:58, 7:00:59… All right, there we go, 7:01 on the dot. I’m such a renegade.

What did you miss? Just another look at the TV studio that serves as ROH’s new home. There are some vast improvements from the last set of tapings, including new black curtains on the walls instead of the big white void (the void now has an ROH logo) and an interview with Lacey Lane!

Lane was asked about her match tonight against Persephone for the CMLL Women’s Title. Lane said that she has more Lucha Libre chops than people realize and people are not going to want to miss her match later.

Persephone responded immediately, saying that people don’t really know her. She then told us she was born in Texas, speaks English and Spanish, and that she’s ready for tonight’s fight against Lane.

CMLL World Women’s Title Match: Persephone (c) vs Lacey Lane

And to complete the trifecta, that very match kicked off the show! Then the one and only Tony Khan himself came over from his office across the street to present the CMLL World Women’s Title belt to the crowd.

Introductions were made, bells were rung and the fight was on. The two flipped and moved through a set of chain wrestling moves until Persephone got a crucifix pin for a two count. Lane returned the favour and armdragged Persephone across and out of the ring. Persepone chased Lane around the ring, but Lane was able to dodge just about everything, until an errant electric chair gave Persephone a chance to drop Lane onto the apron face-first.

Back in the ring, Persephone sent Lane into the corner for some stiff shots. Persephone started working Lane’s leg, kicking it and wrapping it up in the ropes. She dropped some hard knees into Lane’s gut, but could only get a two count on the cover.

Persephone grabbed a headlock, and then whipped Lane off the ropes. Lane countered and came off the ropes with some big kicks. Persephone caught her last one though and turned it into an exploder suplex. She tried a few cover attempts, but Lane kicked out of them all.

Persephone dragged Lane up and kneed her in the stomach a bunch before slapping on a double wristlock. Persephone tried to split Lane’s fingers, but Lane countered into a pin attempt. Persephone kicked out and took back momentum until Lane it a casadora to drag her down.

Lane landed a kick from the ground and sent Persephone against the ropes for a running knee. Lane hit a spingboard dropkick from the second rope and chopped Persephone until Persephone countered into a suplex for a two count.

Persephone rained down headbutts on Lane, and set her up for a Crucifix Bomb, but Lane countered and sent her into the ropes, landing a big boot of the recoil. Lane elbowed Persephone in the back of the head and then dropped an elbow from the second rope.

Lane dodged everything Persephone threw at her until she threw a spear. That caught her and Persephone was able to land the Crucifix Bomb and get the pin to retain the CMLL Women’s Title.

Match Result: Persephone defeated Lacey Lane

Mixed Six Person Tag Team Match: SkyFlight (Dante Martin, Darius Martin & Zayda Steel) vs Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson) & Isla Dawn

I’m not sure if the Martin boys are going by Skyflight when Scorpio isn’t around, but as a group, I like it so I’m going with it. The Vets and Isla don’t seem to have the same name consistencies, but they do operate as a team more often, so they could have an adventage here.

Darius and Drake kicked thing off with a lockup. Drake worked through wristlocks into hammerlocks into waist locks, all while swinging his gorgeous locks.

Darius jumped up and he and Drake tried to get ahold of each other but couldn’t. Gibson whispered some advice into Drake’s ear and he came out swiging, slapping on a facelock. Drake couldn’t get the suplex he wanted, so Gibson tagged in for a double team.

Gibson threw Darius with a suplex and then wrapped his arms up to try and force his shoulders to the mat. Darius kicked out and started throwing punches. He got a quick tag to Dante who hit an atomic drop on Gibson as Darious shoulder tackled him.

Drake grabbed a blind tag and they tried a double clothesline, but Dante went off the ropes in a double crossbody. Steel tagged in, but Darius and Dante clotheslined Gibson out of the ring before Dawn could get in.

When the ring cleared, Steel and Dawn brawled with Steel landed a dropkick on a prone Dawn. Drake caused a distraction and Dawn hit a superkick on Steel for a two count. She started driving knees into Steel’s back and European uppercuts in the corner.

Dawn hit Steel in the back of the head with her knee for a two count. Steel fought back and came off the ropes, but Dawn was ready and she hit a big boot before slapping on a modified Cobra Clutch. Steel got out of it and hit a pump-kick, and the both crawled to the corners for tags.

Dante and Drake made it in and Dante hit a spingboard dropkick that levelled Drake. Dante avoided Drake’s charges and Gibson tagged in. Darious came in and hit a DDT that sent Gibson rolling out of the ring.

Dawn got in the ring and got in the Martin’s faces, but Steel sent her out of the ring. All three then dove through the ropes to take out the other team on the outside.

Drake made it back into the ring and Darius hit a German suplex. Gibson tried to interfere, but Darious sent him out and rolled Drake up with a roll. Drake reversed it and tried to steal one with a handful of tights, but Darious kicked out.

Dawn and Steel tagged in and traded slaps that quickly turned into punches. Steel went for a waistlock, but Dawn hit a back elbow. Gibson tried to offer advice, but Dante pulled him off the apron. Steel hit a ripcord heel strike to Dawn’s head and rolled her up to get the pin and victory for Skyflight.

Match Result: SkyFlight defeated Grizzled Young Veterans & Isla Dawn

-Backstage, Lee Johnson and Blake Christian, who were going by the “swirl” again for some reason, said that Jay Lethal was already in Windsor for Global wars and that they would win their six-man match there. Cool.

Myron Reed (w/Dezmond Xavier & Zachary Wentz) vs Mansoor (w/Johnny TV & Mason Madden)

The still newly-bald Johnny TV and Madden were at ringside to even up the numbers game as Mansoor offered his tip for Reed to touch. The bell rang and they locked up with Mansoor getting an armbar.

As Mansoor worked the arm of Reed, there was a lot of smack talk from Madden and TV. Reed reversed the lock though and they got quiet. Mansoor rolled through and managed to fishhook Reed, but Reed shoved him into the ropes.

They ran the ropes and Reed hit a mid air leg drop (a somewhat fame-ass move, if you will) and Mansoor went to the corner for some reassurance from TV. He got back in the ring and Reed offered a consensual tip touch, but Mansoor kicke dhim at the last minute.

Reed ran Mansoor into the corner. TV caused a distraction and Mansoor raked Reed’s eyes before hitting a bulldog. He stomped Reed in the ring and started throwing chops. Mansoor dumped him over the ropes to where TV and Madden were waiting to poke him in the eye. Wentz and Xavier came over to run him off while Mansoor dragged Reed back into the ring.

Mansoor hit an elbow on the bridge of Reed’s nose and chopped him into the ropes, where he raked his face along the top one. Mansoor put on a smiling headlock in the middle of the ring, but Reed powered up and came out swinging, landing some right hands on Mansoor’s head.

Mansoor tried to go up top, but Reed pulled him off the turnbuckle. Reed hit a guillotine and then a parkour-flavoured insiguri. He went for a suplex, but Mansoor countered it. Mansoor went for a suplex and Reed countered it. Mansoor went for another, but Reed countered it into a DDT.

TV got up on the apron to cause a distraction and Mansoor went for an eye poke that Reed blocked. Mansoor hit a death valley driver and pretended that he got his eye poked as everyone brawled outside. Madden went to poke Xavier in the eyes, but he dodged and TV caught the fingers. Mansoor took out Xavier and Zachary with a baseball slide, but then Reed hit a diving cutter to take out the whole field.

Back in the ring, Reed hit a a picture perfect 450 splash off the top rope and pinned Mansoor to get the win. Madden then carried Mansoor to the back like Batman holding a dead Robin.

Match Result: Myron Reed defeated Mansoor

TMDK (Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste) vs Better Together (Hadar Horvitz & Ori Gold)

Horvitz and Haste started things off after a code of honor with Haste armdragging Horvitz to the mat. Haste hit a big dropkick and posed while Nicholls came in for a double team. They dropped elbows on Horvitz who kicked out of the cover.

Nicholls started throwing chops and Haste came back in to throw some kicks and taunts. Horvitz stumbled to the corner and popped out with a discus elbow. Haste went to the outside where Gold landed a huge kick to his head.

Gold tagged in and they hit a hugging double team on Haste before Hotvitz tagged back in. Quick tags from Gold and Horvitz led to a blocked double leg sweeo and Haste took them both out. He tagged in Nicholls who double clotheslined Gold and Horvitz.

Gold stayed legal and Nicholls hit a spiccoli driver, but Horvitz broke up the pin. Haste came in to help and Gold tried to take them both out. That did not work and TMDK hit a double elevator slam for the pin and victory.

Match Result: TMDK defeated Better Together

-Backstage, ROH Women’s Pure Champion called out her Global Wars opponent, MLP Women’s Champion Giselle Shaw. She warned Shaw that she would have to beat her the “Pure-azzo” way.

ROH Women’s Pure Title Proving Ground Match: Deonna Purrazzo [c] vs Robyn Renegade

The bell rang and the match started with an exchange of wristlocks. Purrazzo counterd a waistlock into a leg takedown and rolled up Renegade for a two count. They locked up again with Purrazzo sending Renegade to the corner where she was charged a rope break.

Renegade exploded back with a flapjack slam. She pulled Purrazzo up and into a facelock, but Purrazzo countered the suplex, looking for the fujiwara. Renegade managed to avoid it though and hit a high kick, allowing her to dance momentarily.

Renegade put an abdominal stretch on Purrazzo, but Purrazzo reversed it into a fujiwara, forcing Renegade to use a rope break at 6:34. Purrazzo threw some high knees and a side Russian leg sweep into the fujiwara in the center of the ring. Renegade rolled out of it and right into a pump-kick from Purrazzo.

They got to their feet and traded forearms, leading to a flurry of strikes. Purrazzo got the upper hand with a kick as the 5 minute warning rang out. Purrazzo set Renegade up for a suplex, but Renegade countered and hung her up on the ropes for a guillotine stomp and a two count.

Renegade hit an anarchist suplex and went for a moonsault, but Purrazzo dodged it and hit a big lariat. She powerbombed Renegade and locked in the Fujiwara, forcing Renegade to tap out.

Match Result: Deonna Purrazzo defeated Robyn Renegade

Anthony Ogogo w/ The Infantry (Carlie Bravo and Shawn Dean) vs Nick Comoroto

Fun Fact: Ogogo was an Olympic boxer. Funner Fact: Comoroto is a certified accountant.

Ogogo got in Comoroto’s face off the bat, so he picked him up and threw him at the mat. Comoroto put on a wrist lock and lifted Ogogo above his head before dropping him. Comoroto then splashed Ogogo in the corner while Bravo caused a distraction.

That turned the tide in Ogogo’s favour who threw some body punches at Comoroto. Ogogo allegedly threw some elbows, but Comoroto countered with a backslide for a two count. Ogogo punched him in the ribs and told him to stay down before flexing and shouting “God save the King.”

He threw a European uppercut at Comoroto who fought back with a powerslam out of nowhere. Comoroto hit a butterfly suplex on Ogogo and splashed him. He followed that up with another powerslam, but looked like he was favouring his ribs.

Ogogo got him with an Olympic slam, dumping Comoroto on his sore ribs. Ogogo tried another “right angle suplex” but Comoroto got out of it. Dean popped up and hit him in the face, allowing Ogogo to land a big punch to his face. Ogogo covered Comoroto with the Union Jack as the ref started counting, Comortoto unmoving under the flag.

Bravo and Dean celebrated at ringside, but Comoroto got up at 9. Ogogo simply punched him in the face again and that was in. He covered him and got the victory.

Match Result: Anthony Ogogo defeated Nick Comoroto

ROH Women’s World Television Title Match: Red Velvet (c) vs Trish Adora

Adora came to the ring with her tag partner Christian XO and what I thought was the Infantry, but was actually just XO’s legs.

Adora jumped Velvet from behind and sent her out of the ring as the bell rang. Adora stalked her, with XO keeping Velvet from getting away. Adora threw Velvet into the barricade, but as they turned the corner, Velvet began to fight back. Adora grabbed her and threw her headfirst into the ringpost.

Adora got back in the ring and stood at attention while the ref started his count. Velvet staggered her way back to the apron and got back in the ring just in time. Adora pounced on her with strikes and stomps.

Adora picked up Velvet and wrapped her up in an octopus-style stretch. Velvet tried to escape, but Adora kept control and threw some kicks into her back. Adora did her splits-stretch, bending Velvet over in two. She rolled her back, but Velvet kicked out at two.

Adora clubbed her back to the mat for a quick cover, but Velvet kicked out. Adora threw some body shots in the corner and started talking trash while Velvet fell to the first rope for XO to choke.

Velvet finally started fighting back, throwing strikes at Adora, but it was over quick as Adora bent her in half with a backbreaker. Adora tried to pick up Velvet, but she hit a crossbody counter and fell on Adora for a two count.

Velvet started kicking out of covers at one to prove she still had something left in the tank. Velvet started throwing bombs and countered a waistlock into a DDT. She sent Adora to the corner for some punches. Adora clung to the second rope and Velvet hit a meterora on her.

XO got up on the apron to give Adora chance to load up Lariat Tubman, but Velvet saw it coming and countered with a spinning kick. Adora picked her up for a running power slam, but Velvet countered it into a stunner of all things.

Velvet came off the ropes right into a big boot from Adora who went for the cover, but Velvet kicked out at two. Adora got Velvet up in a staaaaaaaalling suplex, but on the way down, Velvet counterd it into a rollup and then Mama’s Kitchen.

XO distracted the ref again who missed the cover. So Velvet punched XO in the face about it. Adora grabbed her for a running slam, but Velvet kicked out at two. She loaded up Lariat Tubman, but Velvet dodged it and rolled her up for a 1-2-3 to retain the title.

Match Result: Red Velvet defeated Trish Adora

After the match, XO got in the ring and hit a back body drop on Velvet. She and Adora stomped her until who should arrive with a chair, but Zayda Steel. Steel ran off Adora and XO and helped Velvet to her feet. Velvet grabbed a mic and demanded the music be cut.

She thanked Adora for having the balls to step into the ring with her. She then challenged them to a tag match against her and Steel, but used the word “bi*ch” a lot more. Steel grabbed the mic next and repeated what Velvet said, but using the phrase “y’all” about 17 times.

Velvet and Steel then exited the ring and Adora and XO escaped out the entrance.

ROH Women’s World Title Match: Athena (c) vs Maya World

World earned this match a couple of weeks ago by lasting the the 10-minute time limit in a Proving Ground match, a rare thing in the world of the 1200+ day ROH Women’s World Champion. In fact, Athena had never lost or gone to a draw in the Proving Ground up to that point.

The bell rang after World refused the Code of honor. The two trade armdrags and then had a reset. World came in swinging, punching Athena then hitting a tilt-o-while back breaker before going for the cover. Athena kicked out a rolled out of the ring.

World followed her and chopped her against the ring apron (the choppiest part of the ring!). Athena came back through and went to throw World into the stairs. World reversed it though, sending Athena shoulder-first into the steps.

The two fought on the outside with Athena flapjacking World onto the steel steps. Athena threw her back into the ring and laid some kicks into the back of World’s head. Athena laid World out in the corner with elbows, yelling at the ref when he tried to break it up.

World started punching Athena in the midsection before dropping her with a chinbreaker. Athena came back with a shotgun dropkick and flipping punch in the corner. She suplexed World and went for the cover, getting only a two count.

Athena started throwing knees into World’s ribs, trying to knock the wind out of her. World got back up though just in time for Athena to throw her back down. World countered a full nelson and threw Athena into the corner. Athena went for another shotgun dropkick, but World stomped her out of mid air.

World picked up momentum culminating in a German suplex and two count. World came off the second rope, right into Athena’s knees. Athena then sent her out of the ring with a baseball slide. World managed to get back in at the ref’s count of 9 and Athena immediately put on the Koji Clutch.

World managed to reach the ropes with her foot to break the hold, but Athena did not let up, throwing slaps and talking trash. World threw her against the ropes, diving her knee into her stomach. Athena came off the ropes with a big kick, sending World to the outside.

Athena went for a dive, but World was waiting and punched her. She went for a piledriver on the apron, but Athena got out of it and countered with a suplex off the apron to the floor.

Athena made it back into the ring first, but World seemed out cold. The ref got to 15 (the standard ROH count is to 20) before she stirred and finally made it in at 19. Athena looked shocked and started throwing forearms. World came back with one of her own and the two traded shots.

They got to their feet and World connected with a kick. Athena tried for a suplex, but World countered. They traded pinning combinations until Athena hit a stomp from behind for a two count. A frustrated Athena screamed into the void.

Athena went up top for the O Face, but World dodged and hit a hurricanrana and then a dropkick. World went up top to try an O Face of her own, but Billie Starkz arried and pulled her off the turnbuckle. World took out an arriving Diamante and Hyan arrived to take out Starkz.

Back in the ring, World shot Athena off the ropes and Athena dove through on the recoil and took out Hyan. She got back in the ring and threw a knee to World’s head before hitting a destroyer for a two count. Athena looked stunned.

Athena slapped World repeatedly. She went for a spingboard, but World caught her in a twisting sunset bomb. World went for a modified Samoan drop, but Athena kicked out at two. World went up top and tried and O Face, but Athena blocked it, sending her to the mat.

Furious that World tried to use her move, Athena rained down punches and kicks. Athena hit a pump handle pile driver, but World kicked out. Athena demanded that the ref count to three and then picked up World, tossing her out of the ring.

Hyan showed up again and stopped Athena from sending World into the steps. Starkz came back and threw Hyan into the ring to stomp her with some big platform shoes. Diamante slipped Athena the title belt and she decked World with it.

Athena then went up and hit the O-Face, made the cover and won the match to retain the ROH Women’s World Championship.

Match Result: Athena defeated Maya World

After the match, Diamante put a fujiwara on World, wrenching her arm. MiT then celebrated in the ring as the show went off the air.

Report: New suitor is seeking ownership of TrillerTV

Combat sports streaming service TrillerTV is potentially on its way toward new ownership as Orange Crush, headed by Adam Abdalla, emerges as a new suitor.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider recently reported that Orange Crush is currently in the process of assembling private funding to purchase TrillerTV.

Abdalla’s plan for TrillerTV is to bring music videos back to the forefront by incorporating them, along with movies, onto the platform to augment the combat sports component,” the report noted.

Triller, formerly known as FITE, faced financial issues and was delisted from NASDAQ in January 2026. It is the home of streaming for several independent promotions such as GCW, HOG, and more. In the past, it also streamed AEW, TNA, and NJPW.

Who is Adam Abdalla, the new suitor for TrillerTV?

Abdalla currently heads the NYC public relations powerhouse Cultural Counsel. He also sits on the board of several artistic and historical institutions and is well-connected in the film, TV, and media industries.

Abdalla, known for his time as booker for Jersey Championship Wrestling, has now exited the promotion. He is now set to launch his own company, PRODUCE, a new wrestling promotion and concept that will debut in June with events in New York City and New Jersey.

This past Thursday in Miami, Abdalla launched GameTime Sessions. It is the first-ever museum-led culture and sports conference at the opening of the largest traveling contemporary art and sports exhibit in the United States. Abdalla is also known for curating and launching Sunset Flip, which features the artwork of AEW Women’s Champion Thekla as well as ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty, currently exhibited at the Perez Art Museum in Miami.

Notes from ROH’s second television taping in Jacksonville

Notes concerning Sunday’s ROH tapings in Jacksonville.

The promotion is currently holding their second set of tapings at WJCT Studios, which Tony Khan recently announced as being the new home of ROH moving forward. According to Bryan Alvarez, some changes have been made cosmetically compared to the inital show.

“We are told ROH looks way better than last time with the back wall now sporting the logo as opposed to just a blank white wall,” he writes.

Additionally, the company has managed to “sell out” the venue tonight, even though admission was free to the public.

“Tickets were free but every single seat filled for the ROH tapings tonight,” he continued.

Since purchasing ROH, Tony Khan has mostly taped ROH prior to AEW’s live shows. They continue to air every Thursday on Honor Club. In addition, matches have been uploaded to ROH’s YouTube channel featuring both classic and current content. The promotion’s last pay-per-view, Final Battle, took place back in December.

The current ROH World Champion, Bandido, frequently appears on AEW television. He recently lost to Andrade El Idolo at Revolution last weekend.

Ricochet’s opponent announced for ROH x MLP Global Wars Canada

Ricochet’s match for the Ring of Honor and Maple Leaf Pro joint show next weekend has been announced.

Ricochet vs. Rich Swann is now scheduled for ROH x MLP Global Wars Canada on Friday, March 27 at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. MLP will return to the venue the following night for MLP Uprising.

Others announced for the event include Desmond Xavier, The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows), Gisele Shaw, Mascara Dorada, Persephone, Bishop Dyer (formerly Baron Corbin), Michael Oku, Mistico, Ortiz, Maya World, Hyan, Eddie Kingston, Billie Starkz, and others.

MLP Champion Josh Alexander was also advertised for the show, but it is unclear if he will be cleared to compete after suffering a knee injury at the AEW Collision taping in Fresno last Wednesday.

Following online backlash over a controversial remark he made to a fan on social media earlier in the week, Ricochet did not appear on AEW Dynamite this week or in matches taped for Collision. He returned to the ring on Saturday at RevPro High Stakes 2026 in Wolverhampton, teaming with The Demand in a win over The Flying Bryant Brothers.

Mercedes Martinez says she was not utilized to her ‘full potential’ in AEW

Former AEW and ROH wrestler Mercedes Martinez recently opened up about her time in AEW and how she was not properly utilized there.

Speaking to A2theKWrestling, Martinez revealed the time she started to realize how her in-ring time was coming near its end.

I’m blessed for the opportunity that Tony [Khan] gave me for the last four years. But it felt like the last year and a half, almost two years, I just sat on the shelf not doing anything for the company,” she said.

Expressing how she was not properly utilized there, the 45-year-old continued, “And it kind of messes with your mind a lot. It kind of just makes you think, ’Am I worth it? Does he really want to utilize my talent and my expertise?’ I know my style is not like a TV style. It’s very just raw. It’s very rugged. It’s very old school in the sense of very power and strong style. And maybe the girls didn’t want to wrestle somebody like me with that style because it’s very raw. But I also look at Eddie Kingston and be like, ‘Well, if he can do it, I know I can do it. You need a female like that.’”

It’s kind of one of those things where I’m just like, ‘Man, I’m hitting that age group. I’m 45, and can I still go with the new generation?’ Maybe that’s their thing. Maybe they didn’t want to put me into creative storylines or anything like that I’ve pitched,” she continued. “So it’s just one of those things where I’m like, maybe if we don’t renew the contract, which I already knew wasn’t going to happen, that I’m gonna go out the way I want to go out.“

Earlier this year, she shared a thoughtful message and opened up about embracing one final run in 2026. Her career began in the late 2000s, but she had her first recorded match (as per Cagematch) in 2001. Throughout her long and celebrated career, Martinez wrestled across multiple promotions, including WWE, AEW, ROH, and many more.

Anthony Ogogo reflects on ‘long, frustrating last couple of years’

With an Olympic medal in hand before he ever started in pro wrestling, Anthony Ogogo expected to be one of AEW’s biggest stars. Instead he has been lost in the shuffle, but he’s still working to get to the top.

“It has been a long, frustrating last couple of years,” Ogogo admitted in an interview with Debottam Saha of ITR Wrestling. “I relocated my whole life from the UK to do this. I have trained and I’m in great physical shape as you can see, so I am ready to show the world what I can do again.”

Ogogo called AEW’s roster “stacked” and said he was waiting for an opportunity, “perhaps longer than I would have liked. When I joined,” he said, “I thought I would be one of the biggest stars in the company by now. But, listen, in the industry of pro wrestling you are at the behest of others. You can be the best but it’s not always down to you. It’s not my company.”

The former Olympian posted a pic earlier this month from a recent training session with the recently retired AJ Styles. He has also been appearing on Marshall’s 1FW promotion in Georgia. His last match in AEW was an appearance on the losing side of a 16-man tag team match at Zero Hour before All In London of 2024.

Ogogo won a bronze medal in boxing at the London Olympics in 2012. He is one of a handful of Olympians to wrestle matches for AEW/ROH, along with Jeff “JC Mateo” Cobb, Shaquille O’Neal, and Ronda Rousey. Mark Henry has also appeared as a commentator and interviewer for AEW.

Sareee on her time in WWE: ‘Most difficult period in my professional wrestling career’

Japanese wrestler Sareee recently opened up and talked about her time in WWE.

Speaking to Tokyo Sports, the 29-year-old talked about her transition from the Japanese wrestling scene to WWE. Sareee jumped ships and joined WWE in 2020 and stayed there till 2023. However, while sharing her run there with Tokyo Sports, the former Marigold World Champion did not recall a positive experience. (Quotes translated from Japanese)

That was the most difficult period in my professional wrestling career. WWE has a huge number of members, so it was difficult to even get selected for a match, and then the pandemic hit, so I couldn’t have matches as I wanted. And then I ended up playing a high school girl character. I went there intending to bring the strength of women’s professional wrestling from Japan, but what was required in reality was different, and it was tough,” she said.

The stress made me love sweets, and there were times when I would eat an American-sized parfait after lunch, then devour a huge Häagen-Dazs ice cream, and my face would be covered in acne. But even so, I did my best. Looking back now, I realize that everything was an experience that has become a valuable lesson for me, so nothing was wasted.

After a brief run in the United States, her contract with WWE expired, and she made her way back to Japan.

To be honest, I wondered if it was okay to return to Japan without accomplishing anything in the United States. But when I thought about what I really wanted to do, I realized that I should do the best I could in the limited time I had to do the kind of pro wrestling I believe in. I’ve been working towards becoming the strongest in the Japanese women’s pro wrestling world, which is where it all started.”

She was recently involved in a tag team match with Miku Kanae at SSPW Vol. 38 ~ First Generation Tiger Mask 45th Anniversary, where they defeated the duo of Kaoru Ito & Uta Shima.

Our live coverage begins at 7 p.m. Eastern.

*************

And begin it shall, sports fans! Five of the ten matchas on the card tonight feature the women’s division of ROH at it’s finest. Throw in some title matches, a smattering of Big Bill, a little mixed tag action, and I think we’re set up for a nice little Thursday night!

Also, I’d like to take a moment to note the re-naming of the Lethal Twist. I presume this was done becuase a) The Swirl sounds like a particularly athletic poop, and b) my legally-binding name “The Lethal Swirl” just sounds worse. So welcome, The Lethal Twist.

ROH Women’s Pure Title Match: Deonna Purrazzo (c) vs Billie Starkz

A few weeks ago, Purrazzo wondered aloud about her lack of matches on ROH given that she is the Women’s Pure Champion. Since then, she’s been on the show every week and now is in a rematch of the finals of the Women’s Pure Championship tournament. Just thought that was worth noting.

Purrazzo fell for Starkz’ left-handed code of honor and took a knee to the gut for it as the bell rang. Purrazzo came back with a clothesline though and Starkz went to the outside to yell at the audience for a moment.

Starkz begrudingly got back in the ring and grabbed a waistlock into some clubbing arms. Purrazzo came back with a shot to the midsection and then got Starkz in the fugiwara. Starkz went to the ropes and used her first break at 58:30.

Starkz came right back with a tornado DDT and it was Purrazzo’s turn to exit the ring to recover. Purrazzo came back in and Starkz leapt on her with some stomps. Starkz landed a suplex and a cover, but Purrazzo was up at one.

Starkz started slapping Purrazzo who came back with some strikes of her own. The ref issued Starkz her closed fist warning at 56:22, meaning another would disqualify her. Starkz continued with the stomps, but Purrazzo came back with some forearms of her own. They traded shots until Starkz was sent reeling.

They both came off the ropes and collided in the middle of the ring. Starkz got to her feet first and charged. Purrazzo didged it and nailed her with a rope-assisted single arm DDT. Purrazzo went for a piledriver, but Starkz rolled through. Purrazzo came back with a sling blade into a sleeper.

Starkz got out of it and countered with a sleeper of her own. Purrazzo was charged a rope break at 53:12 to get out of the hold.

Purrazzo hit a chinbreaker on Starkz then went to work on her arm. Starkz tried to power out of it with strikes and knees and ended up going up top. Purrazzo pulled her off the turnbuckle and landed a powerbomb into a fujiwara. Purrazzo transitioned into a Venus De Milo and Starkz was forced to quit, giving Purrazzo the win.

Match Result: Deonna Purrazzo defeated Billie Starkz

After the match, Hyan and Maya World came down to celebrate with Purrazzo, but that brought Diamante and ROH Women’s Champion Athena to ringside as well. They all brawled and Starkz, Athena and Diamante were run off by the trio in the ring.

Next week, Athena and Maya World will have a match for the ROH Women’s Championship that has been held by Athena since dinosaurs roamed the Earth.

Mark Davis vs Angelico

Mark Davis is very big and has a beard. Angelico is very tall and high… flying. He’s a high flyer. Anyway, let’s fight!

Angelico grabbed a headlock off the top, but but Davis muscled out of it and growled like a bear. Angelico came off the ropes, but Davis was waiting with a shoulder block. Davis bounced Angelico’s head off the turnbuckle then hit a press slam.

Davis went for a senton, but Angelico got out ot of the way and threw some strikes. He twisted Davis’ wrist around, but Davis punched his way out of it. Davis started throwing forearms in the corner, absolutely devastating Angelico with them.

Davis went for a second senton and Angelico moved out of the way again. Davis put a knee in Angelico’s bread basket then scooped him up for a piledriver. Angelica got out with a kick and threw a back elbow out of the corner. He hit a second-rope clothesline but could only get a two count as Davis kicked out.

Angelico went for an abdominal stretch, but Davis turned that into a back supex for a two count. Davis hit a big insiguri and then a massive spinning lariat to knock Angelico clear across the ring. He made the pin and got the victory.

Then Ian Riccaboni made some AC/DC jokes. Neat.

Match Result: Mark Davis defeated Angelico

Alec Price & Jordan Oliver vs The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds & Evil Uno)

Always nice to see the Dark Order and as they came to the ring, Uno declared Jacksonville “Dark Order Country” which when you think about it actually makes a lot of sense. Price and Oliver appeared to be somewhat hyperactive on their way in.

Price and Reynolds kicked off the match with a battle of the Alec/Alex’s. Reynolds tried a backslide, but Price countered it as the two ran through a great technical exchange. Oliver tagged in and Uno came in with him for a classic test of strength lock up.

Uno tried to grab an ankle, but Oliver saw it coming and went for a drop toe hold, sending Uno’s face to the mat. Oliver sent Uno off the ropes, who levelled him with a shoulder tackle. Oliver started throwing chops and sent Uno to the corner. Price came in and they ran through a double team for a two count.

Oliver tagged back in and they hit double leg drops on Uno. Uno came up and Reynolds grabbed a blind tag so they could double team Oliver. Price came in with a high crossbody on them both to break it up though. That gave Oliver a chance to slam Uno, who went outside.

Oliver went for a a rope dive, but Reynolds caught him on the way out. Price tried to get involved and Uno powerbombed him on the ring apron (the evilest part of the ring!). Reynolds and Oliver were the legale men and Reynolds sent Oliver to the Dark Order corner.

Reynolds and Uno tagged in and out to knock Oliver around. Uno hit a back breaker and Reynolds dropped an elbow from the top turnbuckle in quick succession. Oliver started fighting back, chopping Reynolds, but Reynolds countered into a pin for a two count.

Reynolds cut off Oliver’s tag attemp and Uno knocked Price off the apron to put a point on it. Uno stomped Oliver’s hand and tagged in Reynolds for an abdominal stretch. Oliver got out of it and tried a sunset flip, and tagged in Price.

Price hit a dropkick on Reynolds and then a blockbuster on Uno, but could only get a two count. Oliver came in and they hit stereo moves on Uno. Oliver hit some high knees but Uno started fighting back and threw Price off the top turnbuckle to a waiting Reynolds for a cutter.

Uno nailed a piledriver on Price, but only got a two count. Reynolds and Uno hit a Gory Special and went for the pin but Oliver flew in and broke it up. Uno threw Oliver out of the ring and Reynold went up for a moonsault. Price moved out of the way though and Reynolds accidentally took out Uno.

Reynolds tried to end it himself, but Price and Olver ran roughshod over him. Oliver hit some flying knees int he corner and Price climbed up for a flying facebuster and that was it. Price and Oliver win.

Match Result: Alec Price & Jordan Oliver defeated The Dark Order

-Backstage Persephone was interviewed about how she’s having a great 2026. She said that the Gods want her on top since she keeps getting win after win. She said that ROH now belongs to Persephone, then she left.

Robyn Renegade vs Rachael Ellering

If Ellering loses this match, she has to change her name to Rachael Rellering to make the “r” thing work. That may not be true, but would be kinda awesome.

Ellering grabbed a waistlock off the top,b ut Renegade countered into a wristlock. They struggled back and forth until Renegade got a twisting armbar on and rolled it through for a two count.

They locked up again and Ellering used her power to land a big shoulder tackle. Renegade went for a kick, but Ellering blocked it. She tried again and connected, then went up top. Ellering pulled her down though and hit a spinning shoulder.

Ellering hit some big chops and threw Renegade from post to post. She threw some shoulders into Renegade’s midsection and hit a gutwrench powerbomb followed by a “big squish” senton.

Renegade got back to her feet and the two started trading open handed strikes. Renegade hit a leg lariat but Ellering counterd into a TKO. Renegade kicked out of the cover at two though.

Renegade hit a big boot followed by a springboard moonsault and managed to make the cover and get the victory over Ellering.

or Rellering, as it were.

Match Result: Robyn Renegade defeated Rachael Ellering

Big Bill (w/Bryan Keith) vs Logan Cruz

Then thing about Big Bill is that he is very big Much bigger than Cruz and off the top, Bill literally hoisted him up and dropped him on the turnbuckle. Bill splashed him in the corner, then the crowd demanded one more and Bill was happy to oblige.

Bill came off the ropes with a big boot and Cruz came up swinging. He got a few punches in, but Bill got him with a swinging side slame and that was it. 1-2-3 and Big Bill beat bLogan bCruz.

Match Result: Big Bill defeated Logan Cruz

The Infantry (Christyan XO & Trish Adora) vs Dream Girl Ellie & Kelsey Raegan

I really like this match for a couple reasons. First, it’s great to see Adora and XO as their own Infantry and second, it’s out first chance to see what XO can do after Carlie Bravo found her in the audience a couple of months ago.

Adora started things off against Ellie and knocked her about before landing a scoop slam. She hit a second which brought in Raegan. For some reason, the Infantry’s music played here, but we can assume that was by mistake.

Anyway, XO came in and used her very long legs to press Ellie into the corner. XO threw Ellie across the ring and tagged in Adora who caught a charging Raegan in midair and threw her into the corner, peppering her with shots. Raegan fought back with some forearms, but Adora countered with a low German suplex.

XO came in with a massiv axe kick on Raegan and Adora finished her off with a Lariat Tubman to win the match.

Match Result: The Infantry defeated Dream Girl Ellie & Kelsey Raegan

Mixed Six Person Tag Team Match: Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson) & Isla Dawn vs OXP, Rosario Grillo & Valentina Rossi

Grillo and Drake started things off with Drake getting the first wristlock on. Grillo threw a strike or two that Drake no-sold and then headbutted his hands. Drake and Gibson rand a bunch of moves on Grillo and Gibson stayed in to drive his elbows home.

Gibson landed a double underhook suplex and Grillo tagged in Rossi, which brought in Dawn. They locked up and Dawn hit a shoulder tackle off the ropes. Rossi rolled through, but couldn’t dodge the high knee. Rossi taggedin Red Lantern OXP and Dawn took him down before handing him to Gibson.

Gibson tagged in Drake who dragged OXP to the corner by his hair. He laid in a bunch of upppercuts then sent OXP reeling with a forearm. Drake went for a suplex, but OXP countered and got a tag to Rossi. Dawn charged back in and Rossi threw her into the corner for a high kick.

Dawn responded with a back suplex and then tagged in Gibson. Grillo came in as Dawn knocked Rossi off the apron. Drake and Gibson double teamed Grillo, knocking OXP off the Apron. They hit a “Grit Your Teeth” knee set and Drake made the cover for the win.

Match Result: Grizzled Young Veterans & Isla Dawn defeated OXP, Rosario Grillo & Valentina Rossi

After the match, Dawn put Rossi in a dragon sleeper, but Zayda Steel and Skyflight came to the ring to save the day. Dawn said a bunch of stuff, but she’s Scottish, so it might have been words. No one really knows.

Diamante w/ ROH Women’s Champion Athena vs Hyena Hera

Faster than I could type “w/ ROH Women’s Champion” Athena left and the match began. Hera had a height advantage over Diamante, but that didn’t stop her from sending her to the corner with some hard chops.

Diamante grabbed a headlock and then threw a shoulder tackle before a series of suplexes (supli?). Diamante started laying shins into Hera’s face, but Hera came back with a strike. The two punched each other until Diamante managed to get a big back elbow in.

Diamante hit another shoulder tackle and spiked Hera with a twisting DDT to get the win.

Match Result: Diamante defeated Hyena Hera

After the match, Diamante put Hera in the fugiwara, sending a message to Deonna Purrazzo. That message was “hey, I can do that move too.”

Six Man Tag Team Match: The Lethal Twist (Blake Christian, Jay Lethal & Lee Johnson) vs The Supastarz (Jimmy Wild, Nikki Eight & Tommy Mars)*

The Supastarz are the 2026 equivalent of 3MB which makes me instantly like them. They look like Motley Crew and Poison had a baby though, which makes me instantly hate them. I have layers, yo.

Johnson and Nikki Sixx, I mean, Eight started things off. They traded wristlocks and Johnson got a mouthful of hair. He tagged in Christian and they double teamed until Wild tagged in. Christian worked him over until Johnson tagged back in and hit a dropkick.

Mars tagged in and so did Lethal who went for a little strut. Lethal kicked Mars in the gut repeatedly and took a bow. Mars came back with some chopes, but Johnson got a blind tag in. Christian raced across the ring and tool out Eight and Wild, while Johnson hung Mars up in a tree of woe. Christian 619’ed him and then dove onto the other two on the outside.

Isolated in the Lethal Twist’s corner, Mars got stomped on until Lethal dragged him to the middle of the ring for a head lock. The Twist triple teamed Mars and that was it.

Match Result: The Lethal Twist defeated The Supastarz

*I’ll be honest here. They never really said which member of the Supastarz was which and I don’t think commentary knew who was who either, because they never really referred to any them by name. So I assigned them names based on entry order. Apologies to the Supastarz if I got it wrong.

After the match, the Lethal Twist continued the beatdown, but Bandido, Tommy Billington and Adam Priest came down to run them off.

ROH World Television Title Match: Nick Wayne (w/Mother Wayne) (c) vs Komander

Wayne defends his title here against the man he won it from, Komander. Wayne is 1-0 in 2026, so that’s pretty good three months in. Komander gave the gentlest fist bumps I’ve ever seen to some fans at ringside and we were off.

Wayne tried to steal one with a quick rollup off the Code of Honor, but Komander kicked out and the pace ramped up. They whipped and reversed each other in the ring, sending Wayne to the outside with Komander diving after him.

Komander tossed Wayne back into the ring and went for his springbaord move, but Wayne shoved him off the top rope. Komander landed hard on his knee and lay clutching it on the entrance ramp. Wayne didn’t care though and threw him back into the ring.

Wayne sent Komander to the corner and hit a corkscrew take down, ripping the knee out from underneath Komander. Wayne stomped and kicked the knee, wearing him down more and more. Wayne dragged Komander to the center of the ring and dropped elbows on his knee.

Wayne grapevined Komander’s leg and then dropped down, twisting the knee further. He put a figure four on Komander who dragged them both to the ropes to break the hold. Komander rolled under the ropes to try and get himself back together, but Wayne pulled him back in.

Komander started kicking with his good leg, sending Wayne backwards. Komander threw what kicks he could and hit a lariat to get Wayne off his feet. Komander hit a springboard crossbody off the top rope and went for a cover, but Wayne kicked out at two.

Still favouring the knee, Komander picked himself up and went for a suplex, but Wayne blocked it and hooked the knee, driving Komander into the corner. Wayne went up top, but Komander got him with an uppercut. Komander went for a kick, but Wayne caught his foot and corkscrewed Komander’s leg around the middle rope.

Wayne went up top for a douuble stomp, but Komander rolled out of the way. The two traded chops and kicks until Komander somehow hit a poisonrana. Komander went up top, but Wayne kicked his legs out from underneath him before he could do anything.

Wayne landed a superplex from the top rope then scrambled up for a frog splash, but Komander kicked out at two. Wayne went back to the figure four though, rolling it through every time Komander got close to the ropes.

Komander finally got to the ropes and broke the hold, still clutching his knee. Wayne got to his feet first and kicked Komander while he was down repeatedly. Wayne was distracted by a “you suck” chant from the audience and Komander got a chop in. Wayne no-sold it and kicked Komander’s legs out from underneath him.

Wayne removed the tape from his wrists and went for Wayne’s World, but Komander grabbed his ankle. Wayne threw some forearms and tried again, but Koamnder took out his legs and hit a mexican destroyer. Komander went up top and went for his splash, but Wayne moved and wrapped him up in a small package for a two count.

Wayne hit a pumphandle brainbuster and that was it. Wayne got the pin to retain the ROH TV Title.

Match Result: Nick Wayne defeated Komander

Our live coverage kicks off at 7 p.m. Eastern.

**********

And kick off it, shall! These bouts come to us from the marathon tapings earlier this month in Jacksonville and include two Proving Ground matches, two Title fights and the return of personal favourite Nick Comoroto, so let’s get it going!

Deonna Purrazzo appeared on screen with her ROH Women’s Pure Title to lament Athena’s insecurity. She said that Jersey Girls “don’t run scared” so Athena can throw everything she has at her. Next week, Purrazzo will face Billie Starkz in a Pure Rules match, but tonight, Athena should focus on her Proving Ground match with Maya World and try and win it the “Pure-razzo” way.

ROH Women’s World Title Proving Ground Match: Athena [c] vs. Maya World

And apparently the Pure-razzo way is to get right into the match, so that’s what we did! This would be a Proving Ground match in which World can earn a shot at Athena’s ROH Women’s title by pinning or submitting the champion, or lasting to the 10 minute time limit.

Right off the bell, Athena came out swinging, punching World in the face and sending her to the ropes. World hit a spin kick and a headscissor takedown to come back and sent Athena to the ring apron (the earliest part of the ring!).

World pump-kicked Athena on the outside and tossed her back into the ring. Athena sent her into the corner for a meteora and a lax cover, which World kicked out of. She clubbed World over the bottom rope and stood on her to drive the point home.

Athena went for a scoop slam, but World countered it into a DDT. World got Athena to her feet and they traded forearms. World went to come off the ropes, but Athena caught her with a clothesline and sent her to the outside. Athena dove onto World and then threw her at the stairs. World saw it coming and countered, but Athena countered the counter and threw her off the stairs and back into the ring.

Athena put World into a cravot lock, smiling the whole time. World got to her feet, but Athena kicked her in the spine and slapped on a headlock, wearing World down. Athena went for a senton, but World got out of the way and started knocking the champion around the ring. She went for a rollup, but Athena shoved out of it.

World started throwing knees, but Athena tripped her and sent her to the mat for a two count. She sent World to the corner, but World got her foot up. She landed a body scissor on Athena, who then picked her up for a sit out powerbomb. The announcer let us know that 2 minutes remained in the match.

Athena went up top, looking to put World away, but World got to her feet and scared her off the turnbuckle. They fought in the corner with Athena looking for a lungblower, but World counterd it into a falcon arrow for a two count. One minute left!

The two slugged it out in the middle of the ring, countering and recountering everything. World went for a big swidewalk slam, covered Athena and the ref counted 1, 2— and no! The time expired, making the match a draw, but that still gets World her title shot.

Match Result: Athena vs. Maya World went to a Time Limit Draw, earning World a future ROH Women’s World Title shot

After the match, Athena threw a fit that would make Christian proud as World celebrated with Deonna Purrazzo and Hyan.

ROH Women’s World Television Title Match: Red Velvet (c) vs Hyan

From the Proving Ground right into a Women’s World Television Title match! Hyan had left ringside after her celebration with Maya World and then re-entered, so that’s neat.

They locked up off the bell, with Velvet getting a wristlock throw on Hyan to send her to the corner. They reset and this time Hyan went for a wristlock, but Velvet flipped out of it. Hyan tried to bear hug Velvet, but couldn’t get it set.

Hyan sent velvet off the ropes and blocked a lariat, sending Velvet to the mat with a pump kick. Velvet switched it up with a leg lariat, but only got a one count. Velvet guillotine kicked Hyan over the ropes then shoved her to the center of the ring for a cover attempt that went two.

Hyan snuck in a hard forearm which gave her a chance to get Velvet up in a staaaaaalllling suplex. Velvet countered before she sould complete it though. The two rolled through a couple of pinning combinations, until Hyan stood up with Velvet on her back and pushed her into the corner.

Hyan hit a shotgun dropkick and started tuning up the band. She landed a knee to the face and then dropped Velvet with a falcon arrow. Hyan went for a high knee, but Velvet ducked and landed a forearm on her chin. Hyan avoided Mama’s Kitchen and took a second shot with her knee, connecting for a two count.

Velvet took out Hyan by the knee and landed a spinning kick to the side of her head. She quickly pinned the dazed Hyan and won the match.

Match Result: Red Velvet defeated Hyan

ROH World Six Man Tag Team Title Proving Ground Match: Shane Taylor Promotions (Carlie Bravo, Shane Taylor & Shawn Dean) (w/Anthony Ogogo and ) [c] vs Aaron Solo, Nick Comoroto & QT Marshall

And straight out of the TV Title picture, we head back to the Proving Ground! Nick Comoroto has been out for a really long time, so it’s great to see him back and hairier than ever. Shane Taylor Promotions came to the ring in full force.

RIght off the top, STP dispatched MArshall and Solo, focusing on Comoroto. Comoroto used MArshall and Solo as weapons, throwing them at Bravo in the corner. Solo and Bravo remained legal off the schmozz until Dean tagged in and they tried to double team Solo. Taylor turned it into a triple team, dropping a leg on Solo on the apron.

Back in the ring, Dean and Solo fought with Dean landing some hard strikes. He tagged in Bravo who hit a spingboard splash on Solo for a two count. He drove his knee into the back of Solo’s head, while Taylor punched him through the ropes.

Bravo began working Solo’s foot, repeatedly stomping it. Bravo sent him to the STP corner, isolating him so that Taylor could tag in and punch the daylights of him. Taylor threw open hands and chops on Solo until Dean tagged in and hit the (sigh) BBC in the corner.

Dean put Solo in a sleeper but Solo fought back until Dean sent him to the corner with a slingshot spear. Dean then knocked Comoroto off the apron, but missed Marshall. Dean took Solo back to the STP corner for a beat down. Bravo hooked the leg, but Marshall broke up the pin.

Solo finally hit a neckbreaker on Dean and made a stretching tag to Marshall who unloaded right hands on all three members of STP. Marshall hit a spinning kick on Dean, knocking him to the mat. He called for the Diamond Cutter, but Bravo cut him off. Solo came in and gave Marshall some backup, but Bravo and Dean started spamming superkicks and then hit a double cookie cutter on Marshall.

Taylor tagged in and so did Comoroto, pitting the two big men against each other. They exploded out of the corners, but all six men started brawling. When the dust settled, Comoroto and Taylor were the only ones standing, making everyone ask, why did we do that?

They traded blows until Taylor got Comoroto up in a body slam. Comoroto got back up and landed one of his own, but it wasn’t enough to get the pin. On the outside, Agogo took out Marshall and in the ring, the infantry hit a double slam on Solo. Comoroto then took down both members of the Infantry, but that left him open for a Taylor left hand.

The infantry hit boot camp on Comoroto and Taylor made the pin to end the Proving Ground match.

Match Result: Shane Taylor Promotions defeated Aaron Solo, Nick Comoroto & QT Marshall

The Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions, Sammy Guevara and Dustin Rhro— I mean, Rush—, I mean The Beast Mortos, came down to the ring next. Guevara had issued an open challenge last week for any team to challege for the titles, so all that remained was the answer to the question of who would it be?

Guevara grabbed a mic and heel’ed it up with the crowd while I took a moment to note that Mortos, a real life lawyer, had started coming to the ring in a tattered suit and tie along with a pair of black glasses over his mask. Perfection. No notes.

Guevara said that Tony Khan was making them defend the titles, so could an opponent come out please so they could get it over with and he could go home? That led to:

Open Challenge: ROH Tag Team Champions LFI (Sammy Guevara & The Beast Mortos) vs The Colons (Eddie and Orlando)

That’s right, the Colons answered the challenge! The former Primo and Epico looked great, even in the absence of Carlito.

Eddie stood in the ring, while Mortos and Guevara tagged in and out, playing to the crowd. Eventually, Eddie had enough and took down Mortos. Orlando tagged in and tried a sunset flip, but Mortos stalled him. That let Orlando tag in Eddie, but Mortos was on fire, taking off his suit and tie.

Guevara tagged in (why didn’t you do that before he got undressed, Sammy?) but quickly got out of the ring, saying he wasn’t ready. Guevara and Mortos argued for a second on the outside, allowing the Colons to dive on them and throw Guevara back into the ring.

Orlando had Guevara in the ring, but he went off the ropes and that let Mortos grab his ankle. Sammy tagged out and Mortos hit a slingblade bulldog on Orlando for a two count. Guevara tagged back in and got Orlando up in a staaaaaaalllling suplex. Mortos tagged back in and they double whipped him into the corner for a series of high knees.

Guevara hit a powerslam, and Mortos hit a senton, but they could only get a two count. They double teamed Orlando some more until Orlando countered with a senton. Guevara accidentally hit Mortos with a shot and while apologizing, Orlando hit him with a cutter.

Guevara fought back and got Orlando up for GTH, but Orlando countered with a flatliner. That got him the chance to tag in Eddie, who came out of the corner to face Mortos. Eddie hit a clothesline and dropkick, staggering Mortos.

Eddie caught Mortos in a lungblower for a two count, broken up by Guevara. Eddie went up top, but Guevara pulled him off the turnbuckle. Orlando took out Guevara on the outside, while Mortos hit a pop up samoan drop on Eddie to get the pin and the victory.

Mixed Six-Person Tag Match: The Premier Athletes (Ariya Daivari, Tony Nese and Stori Denali) w/ Mark Sterling vs Parker Lee, Angelica Risk and Mark Davidson

Davidson started off against Daivari, who headlocked him and then hit a shoulder tackle off the ropes. Denali tagged in, which triggered Risk’s entrance. Davidson tried to get out of the ring, but Denali just stood on him until Risk got close enough for her to kick.

Denali tagged in Nese, who seemed way to excited at the prospect of fighting Risk, but Lee came in to take her place. Nese dispatched him quickly and Davidson tagged in to eat a neckbreaker. That brought Denali and Risk back together and Denali choke slammed her to end the match.

-Backstage, Jay Lethal, Lee Johnson and Black Christian cut a promo about how they are great. Christian held up the mask of Bandido and Christian said that the next trophy they take will be his championship.

Scorpio Sky (w/Christopher Daniels) vs Bryan Keith

So, when Big Bill isn’t around, Bryan Keith’s entrance has way more aggressive gesturing. Just a note.

They locked up off the top with Sky sending Keith to the corner. They reset and went for an old-school test of strength, but Sky rolled it through into a wristlock. Keith reversed it and I started wondering what was happening on The Pitt.

Keith, not satisfied with how slowly the match was going, exited the ring to think about things for a bit. Keith got back into the ring and Sky hit a shoulder tackle. He arm dragged Keith into an armbar, but Keith poked him in the eye. Sky went right back to offense though, working Keith’s knee.

Keith came back with a heavy chop, knocking Sky down. He sent Sky into the corner, but Sky came back with a headscissor takedown. He whipped Keith into the corner and Keith came out with an open hand, knocking Sky to the outside.

What seemed like 74 minutes later, Keith exited the ring and chopped Sky on the barricade. Sky crawled back up onto the apron and Keith threw some more chops at him. Karate chops, I mean. Sky rolled back into the ring and Keith paint brushed him with his feet.

Sky started throwing big hands, but Keith put a knee in his gut for a two count. Keith hit a big booton Sky in the corner. Sky got to his feet and threw a back elbow when Keith wasn’t expecting it. Keith then sent him back out of the ring. Keith went after him and threw some punches. Sky came back with some chops, tossing Keith back in the ring.

Sky got back in just in time to eat a big knee, but managed to kick out at two. Keith then kneeled next to Sky for a few minutes while Sky lay on the mat. Then he started slapping him. That seemed to hulk Sky back up and he started throwing forearms and a double stomp.

Sky hit a high knee and a clothesline before hitting a Sky High on Keith off the ropes for a two count. Sky hit exactly ten punches in the corner and Keith exploded out of it with a headbutt spear. Keith went for a big boot, but Sky countered it into a TKO and that was it. Sky wins.

Match Result: Scorpio Sky defeated Bryan Keith

After the match, Big Bill and Grizzled Young Veterans ran down to the ring to take out Christopher Daniels at ringside. They dragged Sky into the ring and Bill chokeslammed him. A few weeks ago, GYV paid Big Bill and Keith to team with them and now I think they are paying them to be friends with them as well. What’s important is that Isla Dawn was also there.

It was then announced that next week, Nick Wayne would defend the ROH World Television Title against Komander.

ROH Pure Title Match: Lee Moriarty (c) vs Josh Woods

Get your VCRs going friends as these two had one hell of a Pure match last fall and this one had no reason not to top it.

He locked in a body scissor, forcing Moriarty touse his second rope break at 33:32, the first time anyone could remember Moriarty needing two rope breaks.

Moriarty hit a single arm DDT, damaging Woods’ shoulder. That let Moriarty to work the fingers, and bend Woods’ arm back. Woods grabbed the rope at 54:27 to break the hold.

Moriarty went right back to the arm, putting pressure on Wood’s shoulder. Moriarty started getting mean, stomping the fingers and hyperextending the elbow with a wrist pump. Moriarty out Woods in a wrap around body lock, and Woods used the ropes at 53:32, leaving each man with only one break.

Woods rolled Moriarty into a half nelson facelock. Moriarty got out of it and the two exchanged hard strikes in the middle of the ring. The two went for simultaneous pump kicks and knocked each other down.

When breath was caught, Moriarty went for a bridging pin, but Woods kicked out. Moriarty hit a spingboard crossbody, but again a kickout from Woods. Moriarty went back to the ankle lock, transitioning into the Border City Stretch. Woods tried crawling to the ring and managed to get there at 50:34 for his last rope break.

ROH Women’s World Champion Athena will be in action on next week’s ROH on HonorClub.

She will face newly signed Maya World in a Proving Ground match. If World wins or the match ends in a time limit draw, she will earn a shot at Athena’s title.

World teamed with her partner Hyan and Deonna Purrazzo in a win over Athena, Billie Starkz, and Diamante at the ROH x CMLL Global Wars tapings on January 31.

In a backstage segment on last week’s episode, Athena challenged World to the Proving Ground match, saying she was embarrassed at Global Wars. The bout was made official during Thursday’s broadcast. It was taped on Sunday March 1, at ROH’s standalone TV tapings in Jacksonville.

AEW/ROH tag team debuts new name

Big Bill and Bryan Keith have a new tag team name.

On Thursday’s edition of Ring of Honor on HonorClub, the team wrestled under the name Paid in Full. A graphic for their match posted earlier in the day also referred to Bill and Keith by the same name.

AEW filed to trademark Paid in Full on February 23, 2026, for wrestling purposes.

Bill and Keith began teaming with each other in August 2024 when they were aligned with Chris Jericho as part of The Learning Tree. They challenged for the AEW World Tag Team titles against The Hurt Syndicate’s Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin at AEW Dynasty 2025 last April.

Some of the team’s other notable matches include defeating the Gates of Agony at Beach Break 2025. They also teamed with the Grizzled Young Vets in a loss to Eddie Kingston, Ortiz, and The Rascalz in an eight-man tag team parking lot fight on the February 4, 2026 Collision taping.
