The latest on potenital WWE return for Enzo & Big Cass | Exclusive

More on a potential Enzo Amore & Big Cass reunion.

In this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was noted that Amore is set to return to NXT soon. However, there hasn’t been much discussion on Big Cass, who remains under AEW contract.

“The current plan has Enzo Amore to be in NXT soon. Nothing on Big Bill, the former Big Cass, is official or even talked about heavily in the company, but outside the company there is a lot of talk,” Meltzer wrote. He compared the situation to Chris Jericho’s, where just because someone is off television for a period, doesn’t necessarily mean they are on their way out.

Bill’s last AEW match to date was in early April, when he and Bryan Keith wrestled during a set of Ring of Honor tapings.

Amore has already been spotted at the WWE PC

WrestleVotes reported earlier this month that WWE was interested in reuniting the two after Amore was reported to be visiting the WWE Performance Center.

The two became big stars in NXT. After being called up to the main roster, the two enjoyed further success before Cass turned against Enzo Amore. After their feud, the two continued as singles wrestlers until Amore was released in 2018 following sexual assault allegations. The Phoenix Police Department later announced that his case had been closed with no charges filed. In the time since his release, Amore was worked the independent scene.

Cass was released the same year and struggled with addiction following his departure. He eventually found sobriety and signed with TNA in 2021 before joining AEW one year later.

Report: Update on Enzo and Cass’ potential WWE return

Last week, we reported on the possibility of Enzo Amore and Big Cass reuniting in WWE. Now it seems that reunion is getting closer to reality.

A report at Fightful Select says that Amore’s indy schedule is becoming a lot lighter.

“Fightful Select has since learned from those close to Enzo Amore that some promoters are being told that he was not taking bookings in the future that he regularly would be taking,” the report reads. “Those promoters are operating on the assumption that Enzo is headed to WWE and will be signing there.”

Meanwhile, Big Cass’ contract with AEW/ROH (where he has been wrestling as Big Bill) is still reportedly expiring in the next few weeks. His last match with the promotion was a win alongside Bryan Keith against Nick Halen & Vin Parker in ROH on April 6.

Amore and Cass had teamed in NXT/WWE for several years before splitting up in 2017. Amore went on to win the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, but he was suspended and then released early in 2018 following an accusation of sexual assault. No charges were ever filed in the case.

Cass was released later that year due to behavioral problems. He has since discussed the alcoholism and other issues he was battling at the time. After a stint in Impact/TNA, he signed with AEW in 2022. He would go on to win the AEW World Tag Team Championships along with Ricky Starks (now wrestling on SmackDown as Ricky Saints).

WWE reportedly interested in reuniting Enzo Amore and Big Cass for return

New reports suggest WWE is interested in reuniting Enzo Amore and Big Cass for a return.

According to WrestleVotes on Fightful Select, WWE is interested in reuniting and bringing back Enzo Amore and Big Cass to the company. They have maintained a positive relationship with several producers backstage including from their NXT days. Big Cass’s AEW contract is reportedly set to expire by the end of May.

A few days ago, Amore was reportedly at the WWE Performance Center. He debuted in WWE in 2012 but was released in 2018 when sexual assault allegations came forward. Later, he made his wrestling return and competed in NJPW, MLW and even made his TNA debut at the 2025 Slammiversary pre-show.

Meanwhile, Cass signed with AEW in 2022 and made his official debut in May that year.

The two united as a heel tag team on NXT in 2013. They challenged for the WWE Tag Team titles on numerous occasions. Amore’s mic skills and Cass’s intimidating stature, made them a fan-favorite with their diverse in-ring personas.

Former AEW Tag Team Champion’s contract reportedly may expire soon

The contract of Big Bill may be expiring soon, according to one media outlet.

Fightful Select reported Wednesday that in April, there was the belief Bill’s contract was coming up at the end of May or the start of June. There was no news on contract negotiations or the chances of his returning.

The former AEW World Tag Team Champion hasn’t been in the promotion since an eight-man February parking lot street fight on Collision — one of just two AEW matches he’s had this calendar year.

He and Bryan Keith have appeared in Ring of Honor six times in 2026, last appearing at the brand’s Jacksonville, Florida, TV taping. He and Keith defeated Nick Halen and Vin Parker in a match that aired on April 6.

The 38-year-old first debuted in AEW in May 2022 (then W. Morrissey) in a loss to Wardlow. He returned later that year after signing a contract and aligning with Stokely Hathaway’s former faction, The Firm. He and Ricky Starks won the AEW World Tag Team titles in October 2023, holding them for 123 days.

He and AEW/ROH backstage interviewer Lexy Nair are married.

Lexy Nair credits stepfather DDP for meeting husband Big Bill

AEW backstage interviewer Lexy Nair has opened up on meeting her husband, Big Bill.

In a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, Nair opened up in detail about her marriage to AEW wrestler Big Bill. Sharing about her life with Bill, Nair also opened up and credited her stepfather, DDP, aka Diamond Dallas Page, for meeting her with Bill.

Yeah, we’re going back to Dallas. This was before I even got into wrestling; I was pursuing another career. Dallas has people over all the time, and for the most part, they’re older wrestlers, they’re not like young, super cute wrestlers coming to stay with us and do DDP Yoga,” she said.

So I had no knowledge of our house was a revolving door years ago and so so many people would come and stay with us, and I had no idea who was coming, who was going, whatever, I was living my life and whatever,” she continued.

Nair further opened up about her initial days of meeting him and how their relationship has evolved.

So he came by, and I was in my bathrobe, no makeup, my hair was crazy, and I was like, ‘You guys couldn’t have given me the 411 that there was this super cute, tall, jacked guy coming and staying with us for the weekend? Are you kidding me?’ We were friends, I was trying to play it cool, but I was totally thrown off, I ran upstairs, I got ready, I came back downstairs trying to act all cool. We just developed this really great friendship at first, and it ultimately ended up turning into a romance, and we haven’t looked back since. That was almost seven years ago, which is crazy.”

The couple got engaged in 2022 before marrying each other in December 2024 in Mexico.

AEW/ROH tag team debuts new name

Big Bill and Bryan Keith have a new tag team name.

On Thursday’s edition of Ring of Honor on HonorClub, the team wrestled under the name Paid in Full. A graphic for their match posted earlier in the day also referred to Bill and Keith by the same name.

AEW filed to trademark Paid in Full on February 23, 2026, for wrestling purposes.

Bill and Keith began teaming with each other in August 2024 when they were aligned with Chris Jericho as part of The Learning Tree. They challenged for the AEW World Tag Team titles against The Hurt Syndicate’s Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin at AEW Dynasty 2025 last April.

Some of the team’s other notable matches include defeating the Gates of Agony at Beach Break 2025. They also teamed with the Grizzled Young Vets in a loss to Eddie Kingston, Ortiz, and The Rascalz in an eight-man tag team parking lot fight on the February 4, 2026 Collision taping.

Eddie Kingston return match made official on AEW Collision

Eddie Kingston’s return is set.

On Saturday’s Collision, Big Bill came out and made the match between him and Eddie Kingston official for All Out, saying he’d see him in Toronto. Bill said the idiots on the internet actually think he’ll show up, but Bill knows he won’t.

AEW later made the match official for next weekend:

Bill made the challenge on last week’s Collision, saying that he wanted to call out someone who hasn’t been around in a while. On social media, Kingston responded by saying that contract had been signed on his end and was waiting for Bill to name the location. This would be the first match Kingston has had in over a year after tearing his ACL and meniscus during a match against Gabe Kidd back in May of 2024.

Also added to the show is a four-way ladder match for the AEW Tag Team titles. Champions Brodido will defend against three teams that will qualify for the match on the next episode of Dynamite. The qualifying matches include Heichero & Josh Alexander vs. Top Flight, Kip Sabian & Killswitch vs. Jet Speed, and The Bang Bang Gang vs. The Young Bucks.

Eddie Kingston responds to Big Bill’s AEW challenge

A date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but Eddie Kingston is officially ready to get back in the ring.

The stage was set for Kingston’s return when Big Bill called him out on AEW Collision last week. Kingston has now responded to the challenge and said he’s ready to compete.

“So got the phone call and the money is right contract is signed on my end,” Kingston posted. “So Big Bill you dumb goofy bastard just send [location].”

It’s been a long road back for Kingston, who will be wrestling his first match since May 2024. He suffered a broken leg, an ACL tear, and other knee damage while facing Gabe Kidd at an NJPW event. Recovering was a difficult process both mentally and physically for Kingston, but he revealed last month that he was back training in the ring.

The 43-year-old Kingston has risen from a cult favorite to one of the most popular babyfaces in AEW. He was the winner of the promotion’s first-ever Continental Classic tournament in 2023 and has also held gold as a former ROH World Champion and NJPW Strong Openweight Champion.

In his promo calling out Kingston, Big Bill called himself a real New York tough guy while claiming that Kingston is someone who just runs his mouth.

Big Bill calls out injured wrestler on AEW Collision

Eddie Kingston could be returning to AEW sooner than later.

In a promo on Saturday’s Collision, Big Bill said he comes from New York City, and knows another guy from New York that claims to be a tough guy that likes to run his mouth. But he hasn’t been seen in a while and doesn’t know where he’s at. He officially called this person out, finally revealing his name: Eddie Kingston.

The former ROH Champion has been injured and out of action for over a year, recovering from a spot at last year’s NJPW Resurgence where he was suplexed through a table. Upon landing, Kingston smashed both legs on top of a nearby barricade, not only breaking one of his legs but also tore his ACL and meniscus in the process.

Last month, he appeared on Cezar Bononi’s podcast and gave an update on his status, saying at the time he wasn’t cleared, but was getting ready for his return.

“My job, right now, is to be ready for when it’s time,” he said. “You never know when that call is. I talked to my boss. I talked to him and everything is good. Everything takes time. I’m not cleared yet. I feel, because I’ve done practice, sparring matches, I feel like I can go right now, but again I’m not (medically cleared).”

Big Bill and Bryan Keith have mostly been working on Collision shows as a tag team since their mentor, Chris Jericho, decided to take a break from wrestling in April.

Injury caused change in plans for AEW Dynasty Tag Team title match

An injury to Brian Cage led to a change in plans for AEW’s upcoming Dynasty pay-per-view.

In the new issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer confirmed that Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin are scheduled to defend their AEW Tag Team titles against Big Bill & Bryan Keith at the Sunday, April 6 PPV in Philadelphia. It was originally supposed to be Cage & Lance Archer challenging for the belts, but Cage is dealing with a knee injury.

“The tag title match was a change as Brian Cage suffered a knee injury on an independent show on 3/20 in Los Angeles against Chris Masters,” Meltzer wrote. “So the originally planned but not announced Hurt Syndicate vs. Murder Machines match had to be changed and they had to pivot to new challengers, going with Bill & Keith.”

The build to Lashley & Benjamin vs. Big Bill & Keith began with a confrontation on Dynamite this week. After a challenge was issued, The Hurt Syndicate told Big Bill & Keith that they’ll need to win a match before they’ll be granted a title shot.

Big Bill & Keith vs. Top Flight is taking place on AEW Collision this Saturday.

Lashley & Benjamin were crowned the new AEW Tag Team Champions when they defeated Private Party this January. Big Bill is a former tag champ, holding the titles with Ricky Starks from October 2023 to February 2024.

A match between Cage and Rich Swann was scheduled for Future Stars of Wrestling’s Chris Bey benefit show on March 23, but Ricochet ended up facing Swann instead.

Bandido & Powerhouse Hobbs teaming up on AEW Collision

A new match for this Saturday’s AEW Collision was made late Wednesday night as former ROH World Champion Bandido will team with Powerhouse Hobbs against Big Bill & Bryan Keith.

Bandido and Hobbs issued the challenge in a promo shared on X which was later confirmed. Hobbs recently defeated Bill in a recent street fight and still isn’t done with him, and Bandido said that he also isn’t done with ROH World Champion Chris Jericho after losing to the champion last Saturday.

Hobbs is from the Bay Area of California where the show will be held while Bandido said Oakland is “Latino country.” It will be their first time teaming up while Keith and Bill haven’t been on AEW TV as a traditional team since last October.

Here’s the current lineup for Saturday’s live show from Oakland:

  • TNT Champion Daniel Garcia defends against Adam Cole
  • Kenny Omega live in person
  • FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) vs. Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly
  • Powerhouse Hobbs & Bandido vs. Big Bill & Bryan Keith

International Championship Series begins, Big Bill vs. Powerhouse Hobbs added to AEW Dynamite

A series of matches to determine Kenny Omega’s opponent for Revolution will begin this coming Wednesday.

It was announced during Grand Slam Australia that the International Championship Series will kick off on Dynamite when Orange Cassidy takes on Roderick Strong. The winner of that match will move on to face current champion Konosuke Takeshita the following week in Oceanside, California. Whoever emerges as champion will then defend the title against Omega at Revolution on March 9.

Also announced for Dynamite is Big Bill taking on Powerhouse Hobbs in a street fight. In recent weeks, Hobbs has been targeting members of The Learning Tree, coming face-to-face several times with Bill. Already set for Wednesday is a face-to-face between MJF & Hangman Page as well as The Opps taking on The Patriarchy.

Here is the updated lineup for Dynamite:

  • AEW International Championship series: Orange Cassidy vs. Roderick Strong
  • Street fight: Big Bill vs. Powerhouse Hobbs
  • MJF and Hangman Page face-to-face
  • The Ops (Samoa Joe, Hook, Katsuyori Shibata) vs. The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, Nick Wayne, Kip Sabian)

Powerhouse Hobbs has legitimate injury, planned AEW Collision match postponed

A planned street fight between Powerhouse Hobbs and Big Bill for this week’s AEW Collision had to be postponed due to a legitimate injury.

On Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, a Hobbs backstage promo aired where he said he wasn’t cleared by the doctors but promised Big Bill that hell was just the beginning between them.

On Wednesday’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez reported that Hobbs got injured during he and Bill’s wild brawl as part of last Saturday’s Collision. The plan was to do another big brawl on Dynamite which would then have led to a street fight on this week’s Collision which was taped after Dynamite in Huntsville, Alabama.

The actual injury is unknown and his potential return date is unknown.

Alvarez said the Hobbs promo was filmed in Huntsville and that the doctor would not clear him when he arrived at the arena. As a result, the Mid-South street fight between FTR and Jon Moxley & Wheeler Yuta was put together for Collision instead.

AEW’s next live show is this Wednesday’s Dynamite from Atlanta, Georgia.

Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Big Bill added to AEW Collision

Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Big Bill has been added to this Saturday’s Homecoming edition of AEW Collision from Jacksonville, Florida.

The match was made during a backstage segment with Chris Jericho, Bryan Keith and Bill where Jericho essentially blamed their loss in a 12-man tag team match last Saturday on Bill due to not fully taking Hobbs out in a pre-match attack. After Jericho asked him what he’s going to do about it. Bill then challenged Hobbs to a match.

It will be Hobbs’ first singles bout since failing to defeat Jon Moxley for the AEW World title on last Wednesday’s Dynamite. Bill will be looking to snap a two-match losing streak in hopes of picking up his first win since this past April.

Here is the current card for AEW Collision Homecoming:

  • Mariah May & Toni Storm meet face-to-face
  • Big Bill vs. Powerhouse Hobbs
  • Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard & Angelo Parker vs. Undisputed Kingdom (Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong)
  • Buddy Matthews & Brody King vs. The Gates of Agony

Nearly two years after they announced their engagement on Christmas Eve of 2022, AEW’s Big Bill and Lexy Nair are officially married.

Nair shared photos of the wedding weekend via her Instagram stories.

It’s the first marriage for the 28-year-old Nair, who is the stepdaughter of “Diamond” Dallas Page and for the 38-year-old Bill (William Morrissey).

Nair is a backstage interviewer for both AEW and Ring of Honor, the latter of which she is also an on-screen character for as part of ROH Women’s World Champion Athena’s Minions group which includes Billie Starkz.

Bill has been part of Chris Jericho’s Learning Tree faction along with Bryan Keith. He hasn’t been in the ring since the November 6th Dynamite when he was taken out by Kyle O’Reilly in a trios Fight Without Honor match.

Nair has been with AEW since January 2020 while Bill debuted in AEW in May 2022, signing a full-time deal in August of the same year.
