Young Bucks vs. Penta El Zero Miedo & Komander set for AEW Dynamite

The Young Bucks will be in action on Wednesday.

Tony Khan announced that the Young Bucks will face Penta El 0 M and Komander. He noted that Petna’s usual tag team partner, Rey Fenix, was unable to be cleared by the doctors for the bout.

“As AEW doctors cannot clear @ReyFenixMx for a rematch vs his rivals, Penta + @ontheairalex will bring Komander as Penta’s partner vs Young Bucks TOMORROW!” he wrote on Tuesday.

On last week’s Dynamite, The Young Bucks challenged Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho to a tag team match at Full Gear. Both appeared resentful of Omega focusing more on teaming with Jericho than spending time with The Elite.

Also added to Wednesday’s show is a match between Red Velvet and Skye Blue. The winner will face Kris Statlander and Julia Hart in a three-way match for the TBS title at Full Gear this coming Saturday.

Here is the lineup for Wednesday’s Dynamite:

  • Like a Dragon street fight: Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho, Kota Ibushi, and Paul Wight vs. Brian Cage, Powerhouse Hobbs, Kyle Fletcher, and Konosuke Takeshita
  • The Young Bucks vs. Penta El 0 M and Komander
  • TBS title eliminator match: Red Velvet vs. Skye Blue
  • Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta vs. Orange Cassidy and Hook

FTR win AAA Tag Team titles on AEW Dynamite

They won the titles tonight on Dynamite. FTR at first appeared as masked friends of Andrade El Idolo. During the early part of the match, Rey Fenix and Penta El 0 M unmasked the mystery tag team, revealing themselves as FTR. Towards the end of the match, Tully Blanchard came out to distract the referee. This allowed Dax Harwood to strike Fenix with one of the title belts, then covered him to win the titles for his team.

After the match, a backstage segment made clear that Andrade had paid MJF in order for Andrade to use FTR, who are part of the Pinnacle stable.

FTR ended the Lucha Brothers title reign after 853 days. They won the titles back at Verano de Escandalo on June 16, 2019, defeating the Young Bucks. Fenix and Pentagon most recently defended the AAA Tag Team titles when they defeated El Hijo Del Vikingo and Laredo Kid at AAA’s Heroes Inmortales event on October 9.

Page vs. Hardy, multi-man ladder match added to AEW Revolution

A new match has been added to AEW Revolution.

Hangman Page will face Matt Hardy in a singles match. If Page wins, he gets 100% of Hardy’s profits during the first quarter of 2021. However, if Hardy wins, he gets 100% of Page’s earnings. This follows what happened during the opening moments of tonight’s Dynamite, where Page & Hardy defeated The Hybrid 2. After they won, Page revealed to Hardy that he had switched contracts last week, and instead of them becoming a tag team, Hardy had instead signed a contract to a match against Page at Revolution.

Additionally, a ladder match has been added to the event. Called the Face of the Revolution ladder match, the winner will get a shot at Darby Allin’s TNT title. Cody Rhodes made the announcement tonight, saying that he, Scorpio Sky, and Penta El 0 M have already been entered.

Matches already announced for Revolution include Kenny Omega vs. Jon Moxley in a barbed wire death match for the AEW World title, Young Bucks vs. Chris Jericho and MJF for the AEW World Tag Team titles, Hikaru Shida vs. the winner of the AEW Women’s title eliminator tournament, and Brian Cage & Ricky Starks vs. Darby Allin and Sting in a street fight.
