Former Dolph Ziggler signs new contract with TNA Wrestling

Nic Nemeth is staying with TNA Wrestling as the promotion enters a new era on AMC.

On Busted Open Radio this morning, the former Dolph Ziggler confirmed that he has signed a new contract with TNA. Nemeth called the decision a “no-brainer” and said he’s looking forward to the future. He first arrived in TNA in 2024 under a handshake agreement and has been a World Champion and Tag Team Champion while with the company.

“I am happy to be with TNA. My contract is signed,” Nemeth said. “Everything is official now.”

Nemeth praised the behind-the-scenes structure in TNA, including Carlos Silva, Tommy Dreamer, and Hunter Johnston. He also spoke very highly of the work Lance Storm is doing for the company as a producer.

In November 2025, Nemeth returned to WWE for a match in the Last Time is Now tournament. He stepped back into his Dolph Ziggler persona for one night, losing to Solo Sikoa in the opening round. It was Nemeth’s first time wrestling for WWE since his September 2023 release.

Nemeth called tonight a “monumental” moment for TNA with Impact debuting on AMC. Airing from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time, the episode is being headlined by a TNA World Championship match between Frankie Kazarian and Mike Santana. Nemeth could potentially factor into the title picture with the Call Your Shot trophy that he currently possesses.

An appearance by WWE star AJ Styles is also set for tonight’s Impact. The show is being held in Garland, Texas at the Curtis Culwell Center.

BVV: A bizarre episode of TNA Impact ends the AXS TV era

How many times in two hours can one reviewer ask “What did I just watch?” The answer, apparently, is “several.”

And with that, it’s time for a new Big Vinny V Show.

TNA’s last episode of Impact on AXS TV featured very little wrestling, a whole lot of talking, a bunch of wacky skits, some goofy angles, and some nonsensical booking. Wouldn’t be TNA without all that, I guess.

When the dust settled, TNA was left entering the next era with a World championship match in flux for their debut on AMC and no main event booked for the Genesis pay-per-view two days later. But they do have the Righteous getting a title shot they didn’t want a few weeks ago, Ryan Nemeth’s ongoing feud with Mara Sade, Elijah and his horse chasing Order 4 in slow motion, an unnamed man declaring that he must save the Elegance Brand, and an angle signaling the end of Fir$t Cla$$.

We’ll try to make sense of it all on the Big Vinny V Show!

Nic Nemeth says surprise WWE return was almost announced in advance

Nic Nemeth’s surprise return to WWE was almost announced by the company ahead of time.

On Raw at Madison Square Garden this Monday night, Nemeth had his first match as Dolph Ziggler in more than two years, facing off against Solo Sikoa against in The Last Time is Now tournament. It was a one-night-only return for Nemeth as Sikoa advanced in the tournament to determine John Cena’s final opponent.

Nemeth’s appearance on Raw was not announced in advance, though — despite his best efforts — it did leak online a few hours before the show. He’s happy that it was mostly still a secret for fans, though, with Nemeth saying that initial plans were actually for WWE to announce a tournament bracket weeks ago that would have revealed the participants.

“A few weeks ago when I was told, it’s like, ‘Hey, we’re going to have you in this thing and we’re going to announce it ahead of time. They’re going to like show brackets or something.’ And I go, ‘Oh my God, that’s such a bad idea.’ I go, ‘Is there any way we’re not doing this?’ They’re like, ‘No, look.’ They go, ‘There might be something they’re going to put out today, it’ll be on social media. Maybe retweet or something.’ I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I hope this doesn’t happen.’ And nothing happened,” Nemeth said on his SiriusXM Off The Ropes show with Jonathan Coachman.

Nemeth — now a star for TNA Wrestling following his release from WWE in 2023 — and Matt Cardona were the two biggest surprises of the opening round of the tournament. Rusev, Sheamus, Jey Uso, LA Knight, Gunther, and Sikoa have advanced so far: The two remaining first-round matches will take place on SmackDown this Friday: Penta vs. Finn Balor and Bronson Reed vs. Carmelo Hayes.

The tournament winner earns the right to face Cena in his final match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.

Dolph Ziggler reflects on ‘insanely fun’ WWE Raw return

Nic Nemeth had a lot of fun in his one-night-only return to WWE.

Reprising his role as Dolph Ziggler, Nemeth returned to WWE on Monday night for a Last Time is Now tournament match against Solo Sikoa. It was Nemeth’s first time competing in a WWE ring since he was released by the company in 2023. The night was a special one for Nemeth, who reflected on the experience during an appearance on Busted Open Radio this morning.

“Insanely fun and awesome and cool,” Nemeth said about his return. “I had to hide out all day, which was fun. In 20 years, I got to watch so many people hide or hide under the ring or sit on a bus somewhere — I never got to do the hiding. So I had all black on, and I put like a ski mask over my face and sunglasses. And they pulled me into the loading dock inside of the building. Then I got walked in and I got to hide out for like 5 or 6 hours. You know, once someone comes and visits you then a couple more people come to visit you. And then my brother goes, ‘Oh, I just found out online and it’s official that it’s you.’ And I’m like, ‘Okay, great.’ So it took a solid hour of people poking their head into wave to like put it online somewhere and some ‘journalist’ [reported it].

“But, like, it was awesome. The in-between for a lot of stuff was Bob Roode, who was a badass wrestler and we got to tag together. And he’s the agent, and he’s even better at agenting than he is in the ring. And he’s still jacked, and awesome, and great. It was so cool to have him, like, going back and forth between him before we figured everything out. Surreal moment.”

Nemeth said he first found out about the surprise appearance 2-3 weeks ago. With Raw taking place at Madison Square Garden, it felt like all the different pieces fell into place to create something special.

“All these different pieces all added up to like — I was excited, but it’s wrestling, we have these egos, we’re crazy,” Nemeth said. “I go, ‘I hope they remember.’ Because otherwise, what am I doing here? And then the music hits and you get that 1/1000th of like, ‘Okay, they do. All right. Let’s go to work.'”

Though they were a bit pressed for time, Nemeth feels like he and Sikoa delivered with their match. It saw Sikoa pick up a victory to advance to the next round in the tournament to decide John Cena’s final opponent.

“Solo was on point, great the whole way, so easy to work with,” Nemeth said. “But I really think, in the time allotted, we crushed it. We gave everybody everything we could have. We gave the ups and downs of it. And, man, was the crowd there. It was a beautiful thing. It always flys by, but, like, it flew by. Really wanted to soak that in a little bit more.”

In his post-WWE career, Nemeth competes for TNA Wrestling and is also a regular host on SiriusXM’s Pro Wrestling Nation 24/7 channel.

Sikoa and Gunther both advanced in the Last Time is Now Tournament on Monday’s Raw. The updated schedule for the tournament can be seen here.

Solo Sikoa’s surprise WWE Raw opponent revealed

Solo Sikoa’s mystery challenger has been revealed.

Sikoa was booked to face a surprise opponent on Monday Night Raw in The Last Time is Now tournament to determine John Cena’s final opponent. That opponent has now been revealed: former WWE world champion Dolph Ziggler. The two fought in a competitive back-and-forth match, but ultimately the head of MFT won, advancing to the next round of the tournament.

Over the weekend, Nemeth stated that he was not part of the touranment, saying he and brother Ryan were focused on their work in TNA.

Ziggler signed his first WWE contract in 2004. He debuted on the main roster as “Nicky” in the Spirit Squad in 2005, then re-debuted under the Dolph Ziggler name in 2008. He went on to win a multitude of championships and achievements, including two World Heavyweight Championships and the 2012 Money in the Bank match. He left the company in September of 2023.

Following some brief appearances using his real name of Nic Nemeth with New Japan Pro Wrestling, he signed with TNA Wrestling in January of 2024 and went on to win their world tag team and world heavyweight titles. He main evented TNA’s Turning Point app special last Friday night and is still carrying the Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy in TNA.

**********

Pre Show.

The Home Town Man v. Mance Warner (w/ Steph DeLander) v. Jake Something

The crowd is behind the Home Town Man. I’m going to call the Home Town Man “Homer” for short because I’m tired of typing three names for him and calling him “HTM” doesn’t feel right. There’s only one HTM, and that’s the Honky Tonk Man.

Anyway, Homer dominated both his opponents in the opening and got the crowd to cheer for him. Then Jake Something dropped both his opponents with a double clothesline, and got a near fall on Homer with a suplex. Something got dumped to the floor and then The Homer and Warner squared off. DeLander tripped up The Homer, and Warner got a near fall off a choke slam. Warner took down Something with a short bulldog for a near fall.

Warner set up Something for a superplex, so The Homer joined in and turned it into the powerbomb/superplex stacker spot. Homer went to the top, but Something cut him off. Something did a version of the Cactus Clothesline with Warner, and the The Homer came off the top rope with a crossbody to both guys, who were on the floor.

DeLander got into the Homer’s face, and Warner blindsided Homer with a clothesline. Back in the ring, Homer hit the Sliced Bread on Warner, and then Something came in and hit a Black Hole Slam on Homer to get the pinfall.

Match Result: Jake Something won via pinfall on The Home Town Man (7:29)

This was every triple threat match.

— Gia Miller interviewed the YouTube guy  BDE, who promised to make AJ Francis go viral.

The King’s Speech with the new TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian

Kazarian gave the normal “I’ve worked hard and I deserved this” speech, then lambasted the folks who complained about TNA’s stupid booking on social media. The hatred fulls him. Well his gas tank must be overflowing, because everybody hated last night’s finish. Kazarian also denied having anything to do with the NXT wrestlers attacking Santana last night.

Lacking a guest, Kazarian called up TNA President Carlos Silva. Kazarian wanted to know where Silva was last night to present him with his TNA World Championship, since he usually does that whenever a title changes hands in TNA (or actually, whenever there’s a title match of consequence in TNA). Kazarian gave Carlos the belt and has him present it to him as the new TNA World Champion. Carlos Silva then took the mic, and told Kazarian that TNA will be launching a full investigation into the NXT wrestlers invading TNA last night, and Kazarian is part of that investigation.

The Nemeths came out, Nic Nemeth carrying the trophy. Was there one trophy or were there two? After some bickering and accusations between Nic and Kazarian, Nic lets Kazarian know that he will be calling his shot tonight.

Turning Point Main Show.

Tom Hannifan & Matthew Rehwoldt were on commentary.

M by Elegance (w/ The Concierge and Heather by Elegance) vs. Kelani Jordan for the TNA Knockouts World Title

M looks like a giant next to the other members of the Elegance Brand, but according to the Tail of the Tape she’s only 5’11”.

M jumped Jordan from behind to start. M cut off a charge from Jordan with a hip attack. Jordan came off the top with a moonsault onto the floor that didn’t look like it hit. They then showed a replay that made it clear Jordan’s moonsault didn’t hit.

Jordan got hung upside down in the ropes, and M slid in with a kick to Jordan’s face. Back in the ring, M buried her knee into Jordan’s midsection and hit a dropkick. Jordan fought back, but M cut her off with a forearm to the back. M delivered a great looking Northern Lights suplex for a near fall.

M tried to wear down Jordan with a surfboard, then took her down with a hair pull. Jordan went for a body scissors but M turned it into a wheelbarrow suplex. M went to a top for the moonsault, but Jordan rolled out of the way and M hit the mat hard.

In the back, the baby face Knockouts were watching the match while M and Jordan struggled to their feet. They exchanged forearms until M cut Jordan down with a pump kick. Jordan hit a superkick. Jordan got a  near fall off a roll up, then hit a cartwheel into a forearm (or maybe a backfist?).

M tried for a suplex, but Jordan escaped and hit an inverted Rocker-dropper type move for a near fall. The crowd must have thought it was a three count, because they voiced their displeasure with the referee. M caught Jordan with a pump kick in the corner, then hit a modified death valley driver for another near fall. The crowd also hated the ref for that near fall too, but a replay showed that wasn’t even close to a three.

Jordan hit a split-legged stunner for another near fall, then locked in a single-leg Boston Crab. If I can be serious for a moment, M escaped by rolling through and sending Jordan into the corner. M tried to follow her into the corner, but Jordan basically stomped her face in, then hit the split-legged moonsault for the pinfall.

Match Result: Jordan pinned M to retain the title (9:41).

After the match, Gia Miller interviewed the other TNA Knockouts about Kelani’s victory. Ryan Nemeth came along to explain to Miller that she was not covering the real news, which was that Ryan wasn’t teaming with his brother. Ryan called Miller “dumb” and wondered why Mara Sade’s hair always looks wet. “We have towels back here!” This might have been the most I’ve ever been entertained by Ryan Nemeth.

— Hannifan and Rehwoldt run down the card for tonight and mention no one has seen Mike Santana all day.

— In the back, Santino Marella demanded to know what NXT General Manager Ava knew about last night’s attack. Ava claimed ignorance. She told Marella to handle the TNA locker room, and she’d handled the NXT one.

The next match is brought to you by the letters A, B, D, E and J.

BDE v. AJ Francis

BDE hit a pair of topes while holding his phone because social media is ridiculous. He then put his phone down and nailed an over the top rope plancha. But back in the ring, Francis floored BDE with a clothesline. Francis tried for a choke slam, but BDE flipped out of it. Francis missed a boot (badly) and BDE went for a sleeper. Francis dropped back on top of BDE to escape that.

Francis whipped BDE into the turnbuckles and BDE went in too low and hit his head against the top turnbuckle. Francis charged into BDE with a running knee, flipped himself over the top rope and landed on his feet. Francis then stretched BDE using the ringpost as a fulcrum. BDE tried a comeback and then got powerbombed on the edge of the ring apron and I dont know how he survived that.

BDE barely avoided being counted out, and Francis stepped on him. BDE started to comeback and came out of the corner with a tornado DDT. BDE hit a springboard cutter, then came off the tope with a springboard dropkick for a near fall. Francis went for a choke slam, but BDE turned that into a Canadian Destroyer. BDE hit a busaiku knee for a near fall.

BDE went for a frog splash, but missed. Francis drove BDE down to the mat with a chokeslam. BDE asked for more, so Francis chokeslammed him again and got the pinfall.

Match Result: AJ Francis pinned BDE (8:36)

TNA Injury Report:

  • Mike Santana’s arm was injured by the NXT invaders last night, but TNA medical hasn’t looked at him because he hasn’t been around.
  • Elijah’s recovery was set back last night by an attack from Mustafa Ali and he is not cleared.
  • Nic Nemeth was also attacked last night, but he’s passed concussion protocol and his cleared for tonight.

— Gia Miller interviewed Steve Maclin, who also hasn’t seen Mike Santana. Santana is starting to come off as kind of a jerk here. Maclin said he would take on Kazarain and Nemeth two on one or ten on one, and then he’ll stack up NXT bodies, too. This was a pretty good promo from the guy who should maybe be the face of the company if Santana isn’t sticking around.

Dani Luna vs. Indi Hartwell in a No-Disqualification Match

Not even a minute into this one, Luna and Hartwell were hitting each other with chairs and kendo sticks while brawling around ringside. Luna rammed Hartwell into a table and stopped for a drink. Hartwell then grabbed the drink and spit it in Luna’s face.

Hartwell looked around underneath the ring and found a bunch of weapons: a stop sign, another kendo stick, chairs and a ladder. Luna used a baseball slide kick into the ladder to knock Hartwell down. Luna then found a ridiculously oversized screwdriver and used it to choke Hartwell.

Hartwell got some separation from Luna and set up a table on the floor. But Luna blinded Hartwell with a bag of powder, then German suplexed her back into the ring at an ugly angle. Luna beat down Hartwell with the stop sign. Luna sent Hartwell into a steel chair headfirst, then hit a sliding clothesline for a near fall.

Luna set up a ladder in one corner and wedged a chair into two other  corners.  Hartwell mounted a brief comeback with a kendo stick. Luna sent Hartwell into a chair headfirst, then hit a slingshot blue thunder bomb for a near fall. Luna grabbed the kendo stick and wore Hartwell out with it, then used the kendo stick to choke Hartwell out. Hartwell eventually powered up and escaped the hold by backing Luna into the chair-covered ringpost. Hartwell then whipped Luna into the ladder.

Hartwell hit a spinebuster into the ladder for a near fall. These two are just killing each other with weapons but it didn’t feel like the crowd was reacting much. They fought over to the ropes, and Hartwell booted Luna onto the table. Hartwell then came off the top with an eblowdrop to put Luna through the table, and the crowd responded with a “TNA!” chant. Breaking a table always gets a reaction.

Hartwell pulled Luna back into the ring with a full nelson (to set up the Hurts Donut). Luna pulled Hartwell up into a fireman’s carry, but Hartwell reversed it into the Hurts Donut and Luna went facefirst into the edge of the back of a set up steel chair. Not the seat. The edge of the back. Maybe she got her hand up in time? Anyway Hartwell got the pinfall.

Match Result: Indi Hartwell pinned Dani Luna (14:04).

This was probably a bit too long, but I think Luna may have won for losing. She looked really good here.

— In the back, Ava told Santino that she’s got extra security for tonight (which the commentators have said earlier in the night were hired by Santino). Santino said he went to Costco and got a bunch of cameras that will send pictures to his phone via Bluetooth… that he hasn’t set up yet.

Mila Moore & Victoria Crawford vs. The Angle Warriors (Xia Brookside and Léi Yîng Lee) vs. The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessie McKay) in a Triple Threat match for the TNA Knockouts Championship

The IInspiration were dressed like referees for some reason. Tessa Blanchard, who was originally scheduled for the match, came out in street clothes. She announced that  she has not been medically cleared tonight (probably should have mentioned that on the injury report), and introduced her replacement, “The Bombshell” Mila Moore.

After a schomzz to start, Lee suplexed Moore into the ring. Crawford and Moore worked over Lee in their corner, mostly by sending her head into the turnbuckles. Moore locked in a chinlock. Moore took Lee down with a hair pull, then stomped her.

Moore hit both the IInspiration in the corner with a weak-looking clothesline to send them both to the floor. Lee eventually got the tag to Brookside, who took down Moore with a tijeras. Brookside came off the top with a crossbody for a near fall. Moore hit a boot on Brookside for a near fall which literally everyone else broke up.

So the match broke down into a six way brawl. Brookside hit Crawford with a lung blower. Moore dropped Brookside, then Lee superkicked Moore. Moore and Lee fought on the apron, where Lee pulled Moore into the ringpost. Lee hit Crawford and Moore with a crossbody to take them out of the match. But, back in the ring, the IINspiration hit their finisher on Brookside and got the pinfall.

Match Result: The IInspiration retained the championships when Cassie Lee pinned Brookside (8:28)

After the match, TNA President Carlos Silva presented the champions with their belts, and they danced.

The Hardys (Matt & Jeff) & Cedric Alexander v. Mustafa Ali, Jason Hotch & John Skyler (w/ Agent Zero & Tasha Steelz)

One fan was so freaked out to meet Jeff Hardy she literally had to be restrained by security. This was easily the most up the crowd was so far.

Alexander and Hotch started out for their teams, picking up where they left off last night with Cedric getting a near fall after a PK kick. Matt came off the middle rope with an elbow, and then worked over Hotch’s arm. Hotch escaped with an elbow and got the tag to Skyler who walked into a hiptoss from Matt. Matt then deleted Skyler’s head into the turnbuckles.

Ali got the tag and Matt backdropped him to the floor. Matt dumped Skyler to the floor as well, and then the Hardys and Alexander tripled up on Hotch to powerbomb him over the top ropes onto his partners on the floor. The Order 4 huddled up with Steelz to regroup.

Ali and Alexander squared off in the ring. Alexander caught Ali with a pop-up sitout powerbomb for a near fall. Ali hit one of his partners with a kick, then caught a German suplex form Alexander. Ali raked Alexander’s eyes and dumped him to the floor, where Agent Zero hit him with a big boot.

The Hardys and Order 4 squared up on the floor, but eventually things cooled down and the match got back in the ring, with Ali taking over on Alexander. Skyler hit Alexander with a short-arm clothesline. Alexander dumped him to the mat with a Michinoku Driver. Alexander caught Hotch with an enziguri, but Ali pulled Matt down to the mat before Alexander could tag Matt in.

Hotch went for the rolling neckbreaker again, and this time he rolled his way into a death valley driver from Alexander. Matt Hardy got the tag and took Skyler down with a side effect. Matt went for the Twist of Fate, but Skyler countered. Hardy went for another side effect, but he either couldn’t get Skyler up, or Skyler sandbagged him and they both kind of awkwardly fell.

Ali hit Matt with a foreign object to gain a brief advantage for his team, but Matt dropped Ali with a DDT. Jeff Hardy got the tag and caught Hodge with a neckbreaker and a splash for a near fall. The Hardys hit Hotch with the Poetry in Motion. Jeff hit a Twist of Fate on Hotch into a Lumbar Check from Alexander for another near fall when Hotch’s teammates broke up the pin attempt.

Ali dumped Matt to the floor, and Alexander hit Hotch with a flatliner. Skyler sling-shotted himself through the ropes with a spear. Jeff went to set up a Swanton, but Steelz got in the ring to interfere. Matt intervened and took Steelz and Hotch out with a double Twist of Fate. Agent Zero then pulled the ref out of the ring.

With the ref out, Agent Zero got in the ring but the Hardys got chairs and sent him all the way to the back with chair shots. But this left Alexander alone with three opponents. Ali hit Alexander with a low blow, and then rolled him up in a small package to get the pinfall.

Match Result: Mustafa Ali’s Team wins when Ali pinned Alexander after the Hardys abandoned their partner (13:34)

The System (Moose, JDC, Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers) (w/ Alisha Edwards) vs. The Rascals (Trey Miguel, Myron Reed, Zachary Wentz, Dezmond Xavier)

Xavier made his return to the Rascalz (and TNA) tonight.

The story of this match was the power of the System against the speed of the Rascals. And it was crazy fun with a lot of unique double, triple, and quadruple teams.

JDC started out with Reed. He took down Reed with a head scissors while Hannifan rattled off a list of accomplishments which included “beating Chris Jericho at WrestleMania.” Edwards tossed Wentz over his head with a belly to belly throw. Xavier got the tag, as did Moose. Moose missed a charge on Xavier in the corner, and the the four Rascalz swarmed all over Moose with an offensive flurry. That got a near fall, and then one chop put Wentz down.

Myers got the tag and wore down Wentz with a chinlock. Wentz came back with a handspring into a knee to Myers’ chin. Edwards and Zavier got tags, and Xavier put Edwards down with a cutter. Xavier caught Myers with a dropkick, then took Edwards down with a spinning DDT.

Edwards got Xavier with an enziguri and pulled him out of the corner with a backpack stunner. Moose got the tag and hit Xavier with a dropkick to send him over the top. Moose slammed Reed down with an uranagi, then hit a senton. Moose made Xavier go to hell (hanging tree sitout powerbomb) for a near fall. JDC dove in with knee onto Xavier, who was powerslammed by Moose. The Rascalz triple-teamed Moose.

Xaiver went for a plancha to the floor on Moose, who caught him and powerbombed him on the apron (but well into the middle of the apron so he didn’t kill him… AJ Francis take notes). More dives from both teams followed, ending with Reed jumping over the top ropes and pulling Myers down with a cutter in a pile of all their opponents on the floor.

Back in the ring, The System all dropped big moves on Xaiver and went for a pin, but Migeul dove off the top with a meteora to break up the pin attempt. Miguel ran the ropes and ran right into a boot from Moose.Edwards hit Miguel with a spear. Two of the Rascalz help up JDC in a torture rack, and the other two dove off the top and double-stomped JDC.  Someone went for a cover on JDC, but Moose broke that up by powerbombing Miguel onto the pin attempt.

Reed went for a cutter, but Moose pulled Reed into a headbutt. Moose dove off the top but Reed caught him with a cutter anyway. And Wentz followed up with another cutter.  Xavier then finished of JDC with a twisting senton off the top (the Spiral Tap) for get the pinfall.

Match Result: The Rascalz won when Dezmond Xavier pinned JDC (14:20)

Eric Young confronted Santino Marella and blamed Marella for all of TNA’s problems. So Marella booked last night’s finish? Marella pointed the finger at Young, so Young warned Marella that the Cleanse is Coming.

Rich Swann v. Leon Slater for the TNA X-Division Championship

Some great mat work from Slater to start. He worked Swann with a cravat. Swann caught Slater with a rana and a dropkick. Slater responded by dumping Swann to the floor with a big boot and following him out with a slingshot plancha.

Back in the ring, Slater backed Swann into the corner with a chop. Slater followed him in with a running boot. In another corner, Slater charged into him with a forearm. Slater tried another charge, but Swann caught him with a boot. Swann followed that up with a somersault into a clothesline.

Swann went for a rolling splash, but Slater got his knees up. Swann backdropped Slater over the top and Slater smacked his face against the floor or the ring steps and everyone freaked out. The ref held up Swann in the ring while the ringside doctor checked on Slater on the floor. The doctor looked at Slater’s eye, and held up two fingers, which Slater signaled back he could see. Swann dropped to the floor and charged at Slater, who caught him with a leg lariat. Slater struggled to go to the top rope and dove into a superkick from Swann.

The match continued the match while a replay showed that Slater did catch the ring steps with his face. Or maybe he managed to get his hand in the way?

Back in the ring, Slater hit Swann with a spinning tombstone. Slater was still favoring his eye. Swann went in with a punch to the eye. Slater hit Swann with a slingshot cutter for a near fall. Slater went for a Styles Clash, but Swann kicked Slater in the eye to break that up. Swann hit Slater with another kick, then came off the top with a splash for a near fall. Swann kept going after Slater’s eye so if it was a legit injury they did a great job of working it into the match.

Slater and Swann exchanged chops and Swann hit some rabbit punches. Slater caught Swann with utopia (helicopter slam). Slater went for the Swanton 450, but Swann moved out of the way. Slater tried for another slingshot cutter, and a series of reversals lead to a rana and near fall for Swann.  Swann came off the middle ropes with a 450 splash for a near fall.

Swann went to the top, but Slater caught up with him. Slater got up with Swann and him a stiff shot. Swann went back to the eye with a headbutt, but Slater popped up and pulled Swann down to the mat. Slater hit Swann with the Styles Clash for another near fall. Slater followed that up with the Swanton 450 and got the pinfall.

Match Result: Leon Slater retained via pinfall on Rich Swann (14:04)

This was very good but not on the level of Slater/Evans from Bound for Glory. Slater and Swann hugged after the match, with Swann showing Slater respect.

Slater was selling the eye after the match when Gia Miller interviewed him at ringside. Miller stopped to take a moment to honor Slater’s grandmother, who passed away this year. That was a nice moment and the crowd was very respectful. Slater also put over his NXT tag team title match on Tuesday against Dark State.

Mike Santana(maybe?) & Steve Maclin vs. Nic Nemeth & Frankie Kazarian (w/ Ryan Nemeth)

Maclin came to the ring alone, and while the crowd chanted for Santana, the show-long storyline of Santana not being there continued. When Kazarian entered, Rehwoldt went into another rant about people complaining about Kazarian winning the title, saying it was a long time in coming. It had a lot of “Stand Up for TNA/You’re Watching it Wrong” type energy.

So without Santana, Maclin said “screw it” and went on the attack, taking Nemeth and Kazarian down with back elbows. Back in the ring, Maclin hit Nic Nemeth with an Olympic Slam for a near fall. Maclin hung Nic up in the turnbuckle, sent Kazarian flying with a forearm, and then hit a spear in the corner on Nemeth for a near fall. Ryan Nemeth distracted Maclin, so Maclin chased him up the entrance, where Mara Sade (with dry hair) met Ryan with a superkick to take him out of the match.

Maclin went back to the ring, and Nic Nemeth caught him with a Famouser for a near fall. Kazarian took him down with a kind of a running leg sweep for a near fall. Kazarian choked Maclin against the ring ropes and drove a knee into his neck.

Kazarian hit a springboard legdrop for a near fall. Nic Nemeth hit a hangman’s neckbreaker and dropped a big elbow for a near fall. Maclin mounted a brief comeback, but Kazarian cut him off with a back elbow. Nemeth and Kazarian set up Maclin for a double-team superplex, but Maclin fought his way out of it. Maclin sent them both tumbling to the mat, then came off the top with a dropkick for both guys.

With everyone down, Mike Santana pulled up to the arena lot, blew past all that security Ava or Santino brought while taping up his arm, and entered the arena for the match. Seven minutes into it. Santana went after Nemeth and took him down with a death valley driver. He then dove over the ropes onto Kazarian with a somersault plancha, missing Kazarian (who sold it anyway) and selling his still-injured arm.

Back in the ring, Nemeth attacked Santana’s arm, snapping it against the ring ropes. Nemeth hit Santana with a superkick for two.

Maclin took out Nemeth, leaving Santana one-on-one with Kazarian. Santana avoided the Fade to Black and escaped a roll up, then hit the rolling clothesline on Kazarian and got the pinfall.

Match Result: Steve Maclin & Mike Santana defeated Nic Nemeth & Frankie Kazarian when Santana showed up late and pinned Kazarian with a clothesline (10:22)

Frankie Kazarian laid unconscious in the ring, and after hesitating for a bit, Nemeth grabbed the trophy to call his shot. But before the ref could ring the bell, the NXT guys attacked again and Brooks Jensen laid him out. The NXT guys went after Nemeth, Steve Maclin and Mike Santana. It looked like Kazarian would remain unscathed… until the NXT invaders jumped Kazarian too.

Santino Marella ran out to yell at the NXT invaders, and Brooks Jensen levels him with a forearm! After the NXT invaders laid out some security, the Hardys came in with steel chairs. And they got beaten down, too! And bringing the chairs was a real mistake, because the NXT invaders got them and used them on the Hardys and Maclin.

The thing is, the NXT lead by Lexis King isn’t the nWo, it isn’t the Nexus and it isn’t even Aces and Eights. It doesn’t look like the stars from NXT are coming for TNA. It looks like the midcards from NXT are beating up TNA’s main event guys, now for two shows in a row. And I’m not sure how Santana losing his world title in under a minute last night, then in storyline pouting all day before coming to work late after his partner spends half the match getting beat up by two guys, is making him a bigger babyface.

The System v. The Rascals and the Slater/Swann matches were both worth checking out. The rest, not so much.

Tag team match announced for TNA Turning Point

A tag team match with potential title implications has been booked for TNA Turning Point 2025.

It’s been announced that TNA World Champion Mike Santana will team up with International Champion Steve Maclin at Turning Point this Friday. They’re facing Nic Nemeth & Frankie Kazarian, who were the co-winners of the Call Your Shot gauntlet match at Bound for Glory. Both Nemeth and Kazarian are now owed title shots that they can cash in on any champion of their choosing at any point over the next year.

Santana defeated Trick Williams in the Bound for Glory main event to become the new TNA World Champion. Earlier on the pay-per-view, Maclin defeated Kazarian to win back the International title.

Kazarian was the winner of the 2024 Call Your Shot gauntlet as well but failed to win the TNA World Championship when he cashed in.

After a one-month hiatus following Bound for Glory, TNA is back with a live Impact episode this Thursday (November 13) and Turning Point on Friday (November 14). The shows are both being held in Orlando, Florida at Full Sail University.

Turning Point will air live for TNA+ subscribers. This is the first announced match.

TNA Turning Point 2025 —

  • Mike Santana & Steve Maclin vs. Nic Nemeth & Frankie Kazarian

Controversial end to Call Your Shot Gauntlet match at TNA Bound For Glory

Two winners emerged from the Call Your Shot gauntlet match at Bound for Glory.

The final two participants in the match were Frankie Kazarian and Nic Nemeth. A referee bump caused a second referee to come in and make a two count. As the original referee recovered, a double pin took place with both men’s shoulders on the mat. Both referees counted three as controversy ensued. After both referees talked to Santino Marella, he announced for the first time ever both Kazarian and Nemeth would be co-winners. The two were given the trophy as they argued to the back. As a result, both men will receive a future championship match of their choosing.

Kazarian originally wasn’t part of the match but took out Jody Threat as she made her way to the ring. After arguing with Santino, he put himself in the match but was taken out by the next entrant, Santino, with the cobra. However Kazarian wasn’t eliminated and returned after Matt Cardona was eliminated, leaving he and Nemeth as the final two participants of the match.

Later backstage, the two winners confronted one another, with Nemeth calling out Kazarian for never winning the TNA World title. Kazarian teased he may become champion later tonight.

The full list of participants included Lei Ying Lee, Mara Sade, Ryan Nemeth, Nic Nemeth, Cedric Alexander, Rich Swann, AJ Francis, streamer BDE, Myron Reed, Zachary Wentz, Trey Miguel, Dani Luna, Eric Young, Jake Something, Rosemary, Home Town Man, Zack Clayton (with Little Guido), Frankie Kazarian, Santino Marella, Matt Cardona, and Mance Warner.

Nic Nemeth addresses whether he ever came close to signing with AEW

When he was a free agent, Nic Nemeth never came particularly close to joining AEW.

The former Dolph Ziggler was released from his WWE contract in September 2023 and is now a star for TNA Wrestling, where he’s had a World Championship and Tag Team title reign during his run. He also spent some time in Japan for NJPW after his WWE release but never made an AEW appearance.

Nemeth explained on a new episode of Insight with Chris Van Vliet that, while he thinks AEW is great for the wrestling industry, he doesn’t know if it’s the right fit for him from an in-ring perspective.

“I wasn’t,” Nemeth responded when asked how close he was to signing with AEW after his WWE departure. “I love so many people there. I’ve had a couple conversations with Tony [Khan] in the past, and I root for those guys.

“Every step of the way, AEW being a thing helped a bunch of people out — worst case scenario — with negotiating and setting up their career for years down the line. And I go, if this ends in two or three years, it helped a bunch of people out and put some other people on TV. And they’re rocking and rolling and doing their thing. I watched every Wednesday because I have to talk about it on Thursday [on SiriusXM].

“I’ve come to learn all the people on the show and watch what they do. And I go, I don’t know if I could do all the stuff that everyone does. And their top circle of — the whole show, really — it has so many different moving parts and pieces to it that I don’t know that I could, from my old style, I can adapt to anything and I have been… But I don’t know that if in a 35, 45-minute match, if it wasn’t with me and [Bryan Danielson or Jon Moxley], like those guys [where] I know what they’ve done and I could move around and do some things. But if it’s remembering a sequence, like I’m getting 30 guys in contra every two minutes, I would be like — I would be more vacant in the match instead of feeling the emotion and just remembering it. And I go, I don’t know how they do it, but when it comes to those pay-per-views, they blow the roof off. And it’s incredible.”

Nemeth knows he’ll never be Kurt Angle, but his goal in joining TNA was to help provide a spark like when Angle signed with TNA in 2006, even if his presence only makes the company one percent better. Nemeth has fallen in love with the TNA locker room and knows that it’s the right fit for him. But when he was first released by WWE, his original intention was to not sign a contract anywhere.

“I wasn’t going to go anywhere. I didn’t want to,” he said. “A couple of dates for somebody and a couple of dates at AEW? 100 percent, I would have done that. But I just go, I need to travel the world and be able to sleep at night knowing that I can go, because I talked this sh*t for 15 years. ‘No one’s better than me. No one can follow me. Sorry about the booking, but that’s not my call.’ And now, it’s like back it up or don’t. And I had to. I would have gone almost anywhere for a few dates just to check it out, but TNA was the fit.”

Nemeth signed a contract extension with TNA in early 2025. He loves what he’s doing in the promotion and loves being able to team with his brother Ryan.

At the moment, Nemeth does not have a match for Bound for Glory announced, but he would figure to be an entrant in the Call Your Shot gauntlet at the pay-per-view. It’s taking place at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts this Sunday (October 12).

**********

Taped in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Tom Hannifan & Matthew Rehwoldt were on commentary.

— In the parking lot, Santino Marella told Mike Santana that he and Trick Williams are forbidden from touching each other outside of a sanctioned wrestling match.

Frankie Kazarian gives “The King’s Speech.” Kazarian demanded a congratulatory standing ovation from the crowd in recognition of his victory for the TNA International Title at Victory Road. Kazarian ran down all the babyface champions in TNA, but praised the World Champion Trick Williams. The crowd lost interest in what Kazarian was saying when he mentioned Williams and started chanting “Whoop that trick!” Kazarian brought out new TNA Knockouts World Champion Kelani Jordan, who will captain the TNA Women’s team at Showdown against the NXT Women’s team. The crowd chanted “NXT!” for Jordan, and Kazarian told her that all the other Knockouts thought that Jordan was a fluke. Jordan responded with the standard “résumé promo” where she listed off her accomplishments.  Kazarian said that the only reason Trick Williams is the champion is because he beat Joe Hendry, and not him.

Of course, this brought out Trick Williams, who called himself an “emperor” if Frankie Kazarian is a king. Williams called Kazarian “second rate,” reminded everyone he was carrying two brands. He was responsible for all the attention TNA was getting, not deadbeats like the Hardys. This brought out Matt Hardy (not Jeff), who called out the guys in the ring for trying to make themselves look bigger by running down TNA. Matt Hardy said “TNA will not die!” Kazarian finally pointed out the elephant in the room, asking where Jeff was? “Oh that’s right! He’s not allowed in this country!” X-Division Champion Leon Slater came out to defend Jeff.

Remember Kelani Jordan? She was still standing there and decided to call out Indi Hartwell because this segment is just off the rails. Indi came out and said she had the support of the fans and the locker room to fulfill her dream of being TNA Knockouts World Champion. Everyone started talking over each other until Santino came out to force me to start another paragraph.

“Take it easy!” Marella accused them of being like high school children (accurate). But, since he needs a match for tonight, he makes a six person tag match with everyone involved in this opening segment, and he also put Mike Santana on commentary for the match as well.

Matt Hardy, Leon Slater, & Indi Hartwell defeated Trick Williams, Frankie Kazarian & Kelani Jordan  (12:57 aired)

If Mike Santana interferes or gets physical with Trick Williams, the TNA World title match at bound for Glory is off.

Jordan and Hartwell started by exchanging pin attempts. Hardy and Kazarian got tags and Hardy worked over Kazarian’s arm. Slater got the tag and reigned down fists on Kazarian’s head in the corner, then monkey-flipped Kazarian across the ring. Jordan and Hartwell tagged back. Jordan hit a lung blower and got a near fall with a crossbody. Jordan worked a body-scissors and got a couple of near falls off of that while Santana was on commentary refuting the idea that WWE and NXT were running TNA. Williams got the tag against Slater and tripped him up into the ropes, and Kazarian dropped a leg to guillotine Slater against the middle rope.

Williams worked over Slater with a full nelson. Williams and Kazarian tried to encourage Jordan to sucker-punch Slater, but she wouldn’t do it. Kazarian hit a nice suplex on Slater for a near fall. Williams got the tag and worked over Slater in the corner with chops. Williams hit a hangman’s neckbreaker for a near fall, then wore Slater down with a front face lock.

Williams held Slater open for a cheap shot from Jordan, who wouldn’t do it. So Kazarian went for the cheap shot and Slater ducked. Hardy got the tag for his team and deleted Williams’ head into the turnbuckles. Hardy hit a Side Effect for a near fall. Hardy went for the Twist of Fate on Williams, but Kazarian ran in, so Hardy caught him and DDT both Kazarian and Williams. Hardy hit a Twist of Fate on Williams for a near fall. Kazarian tried for the chicken wing on Hardy, but he escaped and tagged in Slater. Hartwell tagged in and hit Kazarian with an elbow off the top rope. Hardy pulled Williams out of the ring, and Williams got into Mike Santana’s face. Hardy whipped Kazarian into Williams, who collided with Santana. Since Santana didn’t initiate the contact, he was free to beat up on Williams, which he did. Back in the ring, Slater hit Kazarian with a Swanton 450 to get the pinfall.

After the match, Santana held up the TNA World Championship before dropping it on a prone Trick Williams. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a “no touching or else” stipulation blown off so quickly.

— Tommy Dreamer cut a promo to fire up the TNA troops. This looked like it was taped at the end of the tv taping.

The TNA Injury Report:

  • Gia Miller was attacked by Tessa Blanchard in the parking lot, but she has been cleared for interviewing duties.
  • Ash by Elegance is out, with no details on her injury.
  • Everyone in the Knockouts Tag Team Title match later tonight have been cleared.

— Recap of NXT from Tuesday and more build for NXT/TNA Showdown.

Angel Warriors (Xia Brookside & Léi Yîng Lee) defeated Kat Von Hees and Ava Lawless (4:04)

Brookside got caught with a backpack stunner for a near fall. Lee got the tag and took down the much larger Heez with a dropkick. Brookside hit Lawless with a Codebreaker, and then assisted Lee with a senton off the middle rope (called “Heaven Sent”) to get the pinfall.

— Joe Hendry was in the stairwell crowing about his victory over Eric Young, but Santino interrupted and told Hendry he was in a no-disqualification match with Young next week.

Road to Glory, Part 2. This was another hype video for Mike Santana on his quest to win the TNA World Title. Santana sat in a chair in an empty ring while Amazing Red cut a really good promo, first talking about the early days of TNA when Amazing Red and Homicide took TNA by storm. They opened doors for guys like Mike Santana, who let someone come into TNA and disrespect them by taking the championship from TNA. Santana invited Red and Homicide to watch him win the title at Slammiversary, but they only saw disappointment. Santana can make everything right by winning the title at Bound for Glory. They are doing a really good job making Santana into a big deal here, but I fear that the NXT Showdown is taking away from some of the build for Bound for Glory.

Nic Nemeth (w/ Ryan Nemeth in a Home Town Mask) defeated The Home Town Man (4:15)

Ryan distracted the Home Town Man, but Home Town Man still got he advantage. Home Town Man hit a TKO out of an airplane spin for a near fall. Ryan tripped up Home Town Man to set him up for a hangman’s neckbreaker from his brother. An elbow drop got Nic a near fall. Nic distracted the ref so Ryan could choke out the Home Town Man against the rope. Nic locked in a sleeper and a body scissors. Home Town Man came back with a series of clotheslines and a slam. Home Town elbow drop was followed up with the Home Town Slice, but Ryan put Nic’s foot on the rope to break up the pin attempt. The Home Town Man hit Ryan with a dive on the floor, then got his mask back from Ryan. But when eh got back in the ring, Nic hit him with a superkick and the Danger Zone to get the pinfall.

After the match, the Nemeths put the boots to the Home Town Man, but Matt Cardona ran in to make the same. Cardona was soon overwhelmed by the Nemeths as well.

— In the back, Gia Miller cut a promo about Tessa Blanchard. Miller was jumped by Blanchard from behind, after Victory Road. Now, Miller will face Blanchard in a match at Bound for Glory. Miller may not be a wrestler but she will still be Blanchard within an inch of her life. This doesn’t feel like the best use of Blanchard.

Tasha Steelz (w/ Order 4) defeated Alicia Edwards (w/ The System) (4:19)

One of the Great Hands tripped up Edwards to allow Steelz to get the upper hand. Steelz get a near fall off a place kick. Edwards came back with a pair of clotheslines. Edwards splashed Steelz in the corner for a near fall. Steelz came back with a Falcon Arrow for a near fall of her own. Edwards blocked a cutter but got hit with a superkick for two. Steelz gave a signal of the members of Order 4, who started arguing with the members of the System. The ref dropped to the floor to deal with that, allowing Ali to slip Steelz a kendo stick. Edwards got the kendo stick, nailed Steelz, and hit an inverted pedigree to get the pinfall. Steelz jumped Edwards after the pinfall, but the System stood Order 4 down.

— Tessa Blanchard gave some more of the backstory for her match with Gia Miller. Blanchard got Miller into Highspots with her trainer George South, but Miller wasn’t cut out for it. So she went to Mike Jackson’s school, someone who was nothing but a jobber. Blanchard is scared for what she’s going to do to Miller at Bound for Glory. Blanchard thinks that Miller should just pack up and move on.

The IInspiration defeated M and Heather by Elegance (w/ the Concierge) to win the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship (14:05)

M and Heather are dressed like race cars or something. The Brand has really taken a hit with Ash gone, and she’s not even been gone for a week!

The IInspiration dominated the early going. Cassie Lee caught Cassie Lee in the corner to take control. M got a near fall after a vertical suplex. M hipped Lee into the corners while the crowd chanted for the IInspiration. Heather stomped on Lee in the corner. Lee dropped to the floor, and Heather followed to ram her head into the ring apron. Back in the ring, Heather got a near fall.

Heather missed an elbow drop, allowing Lee to get the tag to Jessie McKay. McKay caught Heather with a running knee in the corner. M tripped up McKay, allowing the Elegance Brand to double-team her in the corner.

McKay dove for the tag, but M pulled Lee to the floor to keep McKay in the ring. M hit a pump kick for a near fall. M wore down McKay with a surfboard. McKay powered out of the surfboard and hit M with a back elbow.

Lee got the tag and took it to both members of the Elegance Brand. Lee hit a lung blower on Heather for a near fall. M broke up a suplex attempt from Lee. Lee hit Heather with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. The Concierge distracted the ref and they argued for like what seemed like forever. A rake of the eyes set up Lee for a superkick from M (who was standing on the apron while Lee was in the ring). A DDT from Heather got another near fall.

The Concierge gave Heather some champagne. Heather went to the throw champagne at Lee, but she ducked and Heather blinded M with the champagne by mistake. Lee and McKay took out M with the Idolizer, and Lee got the pinfall. The IInspiration are now two-time Knockouts Tag Team Champions.

BVV: TNA Impact recap with Nemeths vs. Hardys tag title match

Tuesday means a new Big Vinny V Show and another TNA Impact recap.

The main event last Thursday saw Nic & Ryan Nemeth getting their TNA Tag Team title rematch against the Hardy Boys with Matt Cardona making a cameo appearance.

Elsewhere, Brian Myers battled Mustafa Ali as things heated up between The System and Order 4; Judas Icarus stealing the show in a very fun match against Eric Young; Victoria Crawford continuing to be crazy; the IInspiration teaming with Masha Slamovich against the By Elegance brand; Frankie Kazarian hosting the King’s Speech with the return of Mr. Anderson; Dani Luna squaring off against Indi Hartwell; Lei Ying Lee and Xia Brookside formally annoucing their tag team name; and Mike Santana destroying a jobber but then gets destroyed by an invader from NXT.

All this and more on the new Big Vinny V Show with me, Vince Verhei

BVV: A stupid & dumb TNA Impact with a great main event

As a TV show, last Thursday’s TNA Impact was both stupid and dumb, but at least the main event was great. Vince Verhei talks about it all on this week’s Big Vinny V Show.

It turns out Nic Nemeth and Jeff Hardy still know what they’re doing out there, and they had a tremendous match to save the show.

But the show needed saving, because nothing here makes any sense any more. Santino Marella vs. Robert Stone sounds like an awful feud on paper and it’s significantly worse in real life; NXT’s Nikkita Lyons guest starred to do some embarrassing self-parody; and Cody Deaner got neverending promo segments to establish that he’s a bottom-of-the-roster guy at best.

Also, The Great Hands won a match they should have lost after losing a match they should have won; Xia Brookside is apparently turning heel, and Indi Hartwell is there too.

I will try to figure it out on the latest Big Vinny V Show.

TNA Impact live results: Indi Hartwell debuts, Jeff Hardy vs. Nic Nemeth

Indi Hartwell’s TNA career officially begins on tonight’s TNA Impact from Irvine, California.

After news of her signing was revealed last month, the former WWE/NXT wrestler will compete for the first time as she battles Kelsey Heather.

In their first singles meeting since 2009, Jeff Hardy takes on Nic Nemeth as the feud between their respective teams continue.

Tessa Blanchard teams with Victoria Crawford (the former Alicia Fox) against Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich and WWE NXT’s Nikkita Lyons.

In a four-way International title shot eliminator, it will be Elijah vs. Mance Warner vs. Matt Cardona vs. Ace Austin.

Rosemary takes on Xia Brookside while The Rascalz battle The Great Hands.

Frankie Kazarian will discuss his upcoming Under Siege tag team match with Trick Williams against Joe Hendry and Elijah.

**********

Tessa Blanchard & Victoria Crawford vs. Masha Slamovich & Nikkita Lyons

The show kicks off with an “In Memory Of” graphic in honor of Terry “Sabu” Brunk. After the usual recap package showing highlights from last week, the show settles inside the Impact Zone. Tessa Blanchard’s theme immediately hits and out she comes for the opening contest.

Blanchard settles inside the squared circle and her music dies down. The theme for Victoria Crawford hits and out comes the former WWE Superstar known as Alicia Fox. TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich is out first for the opposition. WWE NXT Superstar Nikkita Lyons comes out last.

After the bell sounds, Blanchard and Lyons kick things off for their respective teams. Lyons takes the early offensive lead. Blanchard and Lyons both tag out. Crawford takes over on Slamovich initially. Slamovich starts to fight back. She hits a spinning back-fist and a step-up enzugiri.

Both ladies try to head to their corner for the tag, but Blanchard rushes over and yanks Lyons off the apron, where she blasts her face on the corner on the way down. Crawford goes to work on Slamovich. Blanchard slides a steel chair into Crawford.

Slamovich gets a hold of it and whacks Crawford. The referee calls for the bell. Blanchard and Crawford get the win via disqualification. Blanchard yanks Crawford out of the ring to save her from any post-match punishment.

Apparently things aren’t over just yet. TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella’s theme hits and out he comes. He says things won’t end that way. He orders the match to be restarted. Fans chant “Santino! Santino!” Before the match can restart, Robert Stone comes out and says the decision stands.

Blanchard and Crawford remain the winners via disqualification. Santino didn’t like that. Blanchard and Crawford did, and they rub it in on Lyons and Slamovich as they head to the back with their hands raised. The show heads to a commercial break after that.

Match Result: Tessa Blanchard & Victoria Crawford defeated Masha Slamovich & Nikkita Lyons via Disqualification

Cody Deaner Knows Significance Of TNA Under Siege

The show returns to an in-depth sit-down interview with Cody Deaner, who talks about the importance of his match coming up at TNA Under Siege 2025, and how he must win if he wants to continue his future in TNA Wrestling.

He tells a story about the first time his son saw him wrestle. He recalls his son crying afterwards. He thought it was because his son thought he was hurt. It turns out it was because he lost. He says he’s determined to make sure his son doesn’t cry after TNA Under Siege 2025.

The Great Hands (John Skyler & Jason Hotch) (w/ Tasha Steelz) vs. The Rascalz (Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz)

Back inside the Impact Zone, the team of The Great Hands make their way out to the ring accompanied by Tasha Steelz. John Skyler talks on the microphone as they settle inside the squared circle about how he blames the fans for Mustafa Ali’s recent change in personality.

The theme for their opposition hits and out comes The Rascalz duo of Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz to a good pop. The bell sounds to get things officially off-and-running with this tag-team tilt, and it is Miguel and Skyler who kick things off for their respective teams.

After some good back-and-forth action, we see The Great Hands start to take over. They do a good job of isolating their weakened foe in the ring and preventing him from making a tag. However, the momentum begins to shift, with The Rascalz making a comeback.

Ultimately, Mustafa Ali would interfere, leading to Skyler and Hotch getting the win. After the match, Ali viciously assaults The Rascalz in a continued showing of his new, uncontrollable persona. Ace Austin eventually ran down to make the save. The show went into another commercial break afterwards.

Match Result: The Great Hands defeated The Rascalz

TNA International Championship Eliminator
Matt Cardona vs. Mance Warner vs. Ace Austin vs. Elijah

The show returns to Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt on commentary setting up special video footage that took place during the commercial break. We see Ace Austin backstage still enraged about what just happened.

He looks for The Great Hands, and eventually finds them. Unfortunately, John Skyler, Jason Hotch and Mustafa Ali all beat Austin down until security and officials rush to the scene to break it up. Back in the Impact Zone, we get ready for our next match.

Matt Cardona’s theme hits and out comes “The Complete” Cardona for this high stakes four-way showdown, where the winner will receive a shot at the TNA International Championship currently held by “Bulletproof” Steve Maclin.

Ace Austin comes out still selling the affects of the assault he just endured backstage. Mance Warner comes out with Steph De Lander. Finally, Elijah comes out strumming his guitar to a big pop from the Ivrine crowd. The bell sounds and off we go.

After some back-and-forth action, which sees De Lander get involved a few times on Warner’s behalf, and all four men having their respective moments in the spotlight, it is Cardona who picks up the win after hitting his Radio Silence finisher on Austin for the pin. Cardona has earned a TNA International title shot.

Match Result: Matt Cardona defeated Ace Austin, Elijah & Mance Warner to earn a TNA International Title shot

Tessa Blanchard Slaps The Hell Out Of Arianna Grace

The show heads to another commercial break after the TNA International Championship Eliminator wraps up. When the show returns, Tom Hannifan does a live ad-read to promote TNA’s involvement in the upcoming Border Brawl show.

From there, backstage we see “The Liaison” Arianna Grace is not happy about Santino Marella’s authority being overturned by Robert Stone in regards to the Tessa Blanchard & Victoria Crawford win over Nikkita Lyons & Masha Slamovich.

Blanchard says she’s sick of Arianna’s mouth and smacks the living crap out of her. She walks off as Arianna is on her knees from the slap, possibly with a bloody mouth. The brief backstage segment wraps up there.

First Class Penthouse With O’Shea Jackson Jr.

Back inside the Impact Zone, the theme for First Class hits and out comes AJ Francis and KC Navarro to host the latest installment of their God-awful talk show segment, First Class Penthouse. They begin with their usual boasting.

They then hit the usual pop culture insults for cheap heat, with some rap and basketball references, before bragging about how they always bring the best when they show up. They hype up their special guest as a bonafide movie star.

With that said, after listing his IMDB credits, they introduce O’Shea Jackson Jr. The son of Ice Cube and recent TNA Rebellion 2025 pre-show panelist makes his way out wearing a First Class t-shirt, which Francis and Navarro quickly show off.

Jackson Jr. grabs Francis’ hand and takes it off of his shoulder, Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall-style. Francis asks why they have static. Jackson Jr. tells him that he might think he’s Suge Knight, but he looks more like a “broke-ass Uncle Phil.”

The crowd explodes with “Uncle Phil! Uncle Phil!” chants. Francis has a decent comeback, noting how he should be like Uncle Phil and treat Jackson Jr. like Jazz, and throw his ass out of here. Jackson Jr. breaks bad and Navarro tries keeping him and Francis apart.

On that note, Mike Santana’s hip-hop theme hits to calm things down. Santana makes his way through the crowd, as always, as Navarro and Francis complain about being interrupted by him. In very annoying fashion, by the way.

Santana chases them to the back without saying anything. He and Jackson Jr. shake hands and pose for the crowd to end what was actually the first tolerable First Class Penthouse segment ever. That’s how the talk show-style segment wraps up.

Indi Hartwell vs. Kelsey Heather

Without wasting much time, the theme for Indi Hartwell hits and out comes the former WWE and WWE NXT Superstar to the ring for her highly-anticipated TNA Wrestling in-ring debut. Hannifan and Rehwoldt talk on commentary about how it’s a lifelong dream for Indi to compete in a TNA ring.

Already in the ring is her opponent for this scheduled one-on-one contest in the TNA Knockouts division, Kelsey Heather. The bell sounds to get things officially off-and-running. Fans immediately break out with a loud “Indi Wrestling! Indi Wrestling!” chant.

Kelsey slaps Hartwell to get the physicality started, and all this does is anger Hartwell, who quickly goes to work on Heather. She hits a side-slam and some big strikes, but then Heather hops on Hartwell’s back with a sleeper-hold.

Heather taunts Hartwell while holding onto the hold, but Hartwell escapes and shifts the offensive momentum back in her favor. She sends Heather into the ropes and hits a big sidewalk slam.

She hits a running booty to the side of Heather’s head as she was draped over the middle rope. Hartwell hits her “Hurt Don’t It” finisher after that for the pinfall victory. Hannifan and Rehwoldt run through the match highlights while singing Hartwell’s praises. The show heads to another commercial break.

Match Result: Indi Hartwell defeated Kelsey Heather

Tasha Steelz & Indi Hartwell Verbally Clash Backstage

When the show returns, Indi Hartwell is shown backstage talking to the camera about getting her first TNA Wrestling match, and win, in the books tonight. As she sits down to continue talking more, she is cut off by Tasha Steelz.

Steelz puts her hand in Hartwell’s face and says she doesn’t know what Hartwell is talking about, noting “I’m sure it’s a cute promo,” but she claims to have more important matters to discuss. She turns to the camera and mentions that Mustafa Ali has been kicked out of the building.

Before she can say anything else, Hartwell stands up and cuts her off. Hartwell says she just had a successful debut, and Steelz is going to have the audacity to take her camera time? Tasha says she’ll deal with Hartwell later. She heads off looking for Santino Marella or Robert Stone.

Rosemary vs. Xia Brookside

Inside the Impact Zone, the lights go down and the familiar sounds of Rosemary’s theme hits. Out she comes, heading to the ring for the next match of the evening as a split-screen interview she did earlier in the day is shown.

The theme for her opponent hits, and out comes Xia Brookside. Hannifan and Rehwoldt talk about the new side of Brookside that has been seen in recent weeks. The bell sounds and things get officially off-and-running.

Brookside charges at Rosemary, who exits the ring and does a sadistic laugh at Brookside as she avoids the early action on the floor. Back in the ring, the two finally engage and begin getting after it. Brookside takes the early lead, but it isn’t long before Rosemary takes over.

Rosemary grabs some brass knuckles, but before she can use them, Brookside stops her. Rosemary secures a submission on Brookside in the ring, and the two push-and-pull with the brass knuckles inches away. Brookside recovers and begins shifting the offensive momentum into her favor.

Brookside climbs to the top-rope after establishing a comfortable offensive lead. She is stopped when Rosemary once again picks up and puts the brass knuckles on her hand. Brookside hops down and fights with Rosemary over them. She headbutts Rosemary and gets the brass knuckles.

She debates putting them on and eventually does. Rosemary turns her cheek and invites her to blast her with a free shot with the brass knuckles. Rosemary pops up and thumbs Brookside in the eye. Rosemary goes to load up with the green mist, but before she can spray it, Brookside decks Rosemary.

She has Rosemary tied up on the ropes. The referee tries to break things up, but once again Brookside’s darker side shows itself, as she shoves the referee off of her and continues a physical rampage on Rosemary. Lei Ying Lee ends up running out and chasing Rosemary away.

She stands tall in the ring shouting at Rosemary. The post-match scene wraps up on that note, We then see a quick “TNA Injury Report” video package. Steve Maclin suffered a minor skull fracture, lacerations and an extreme loss of blood. The show heads to another commercial break after that.

Match Result: Rosemary defeated Xia Brookside via disqualification

Arianna Grace Wants Tessa Blanchard At TNA Under Siege

When the show returns, Arianna Grace demands a match against Tessa Blanchard at TNA Under Siege. Santino Marella doesn’t like the idea, but agrees to it. Robert Stone comes in and thinks it’s the first smart decision he’s made.

Frankie Kazarian & Trick Williams Confronted By Joe Hendry & Elijah

Highlights are shown of the WWE NXT Battleground 2025 contract signing between TNA World Champion Joe Hendry and Trick Williams is shown. Back live inside the Impact Zone, Frankie Kazarian’s theme hits and he makes his way down to the ring.

The self-proclaimed “King of TNA” goes on to rant and complain about being “robbed” of the TNA World Championship at TNA Rebellion. He then moves on to discuss the upcoming TNA Under Siege show, and mentions how there’s someone who feels the same about Joe Hendry as he does.

On that note, the familiar sounds of Trick Williams entrance tune hits the house speakers in Irvine, CA. The crowd breaks out into a loud “Whoop That Trick!” chant as the WWE NXT Superstar heads down to join Kazarian in the ring.

Trick says it’s no secret that he doesn’t like Kazarian, and that Kazarian doesn’t like him either. He says they’re not out here to be liked. They’re out here to be respected. If they were out here to be liked, they’d be like Joe Hendry.

As always, the rule applies, as someone said his name, and so out he comes to appear. The crowd goes wild as the TNA World Champion settles at the top of the entrance stage. They provoke Hendry, saying he claims to be a fighting champion. They challenge him to prove it.

Before Hendry heads down for a one-on-two impromptu battle, we hear the familiar sounds of a guitar strum off-camera. With that said, Elijah walks … out to join Hendry at the top of the stage. As they get ready to fight, Santino Marella’s theme hits.

The TNA Director of Authority comes out and mentions how the four of them are scheduled to battle it out at TNA Under Siege. He says they all seem ready tonight, so it’ll take place tonight instead. The crowd loves it. Robert Stone comes out and shuts it down. He even mentions “suitable replacements” for next week.

Nic Nemeth (w/ Ryan Nemeth) vs. Jeff Hardy (w/ Matt Hardy)

It’s main event time!

After the show returns from another commercial break, the TNA Moment of the Week segment airs, showing footage of RVD vs. Sabu from years ago. The lineup is announced for next Thursday night’s TNA Under Siege “go-home” episode of TNA Impact on May 22 (see below).

We return inside the Impact Zone in Irvine, CA., where Nic Nemeth’s “Wanted Man” theme hits. Out comes one-half of the reigning TNA World Tag-Team Champions accompanied by his brother, “The Hollywood Hunk” Ryan Nemeth, for our scheduled main event of the evening.

He settles inside the squared circle and his music dies down. The legendary theme for The Hardy Boyz hits next, and out comes Nemeth’s opponent, “The Charismatic Enigma” Jeff Hardy, accompanied by his brother, Matt Hardy.

Hannifan mentions to the viewers at home that this is only the second ever singles match between Hardy and Nemeth. He mentions how Hardy won their lone singles match from over 16 years ago. The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with our final match of the evening.

Hardy immediately takes Nemeth down. He goes to hit the ropes, and Ryan tries grabbing his foot. Jeff catches him, and turns to yell at him, only to then turn around into a big DDT from a prepared Nemeth. Nemeth charges at Hardy after that, but Hardy sends him up and over the top-rope.

Nemeth crashes and burns on the floor at ringside. Jeff hits a follow-up dive from the ring to the floor to take Nemeth out for a big pop. He celebrates that with his brother Matt, as the show heads into a mid-match commercial break as the action continues.

When the show returns, the action is back in the ring, with Nemeth controlling the offense. Hardy begins fighting back, hitting his trademark Whisper in the Wind spot off the ropes in the corner. Hardy looks to follow-up with a Twist of Fate, but Nemeth counters and slaps on a sleeper-hold.

Hardy begins to fade as Nemeth squeezes away. Fans break out in a “Hardy! Hardy!” chant. Hardy fights back to his feet and drops down into a jawbreaker to force Nemeth to release the hold. Nemeth ends up sending Hardy shoulder-first into the steel post.

He immediately follows up with a FameAsser and quickly covers him, only to get a close two-count. Nemeth tunes up the band in the corner waiting for Hardy to get up. He charges at him looking for a super kick, but Hardy avoids it and counters with a Twist of Fate.

He takes his shirt off. He heads to the top-rope. He leaps off for his trademark Swanton Bomb, but Nemeth counters him on the way down and quickly tries rolling him up, again only getting a close count of two.

Hardy rolls Nemeth up out of nowhere seconds later, but Nemeth kicks out before the count of three. Fans break out in a loud “This is Awesome!” chant. Hardy looks for another Twist of Fate, but Nemeth counters with a super kick. He covers him, but only gets two.

Fans break out in a loud “Let’s go Hardy!” chant, rallying behind “The Charismatic Enigma” as Nemeth stalks him, waiting for him to get up. As soon as he does, Nemeth leaps for a Danger Zone, but Hardy avoids it and counters with a Twist of Fate.

He follows up with a Swanton Bomb that connects this time, and covers Nemeth for the pinfall victory. Excellent main event. As soon as the match wraps up, Ryan Nemeth hits the ring for a post-match attack, but Leon Slater runs out to make the save. The Hardy Boyz iconic theme hits again. That’s how this week’s show goes off the air.

Match Result: Jeff Hardy defeated Nic Nemeth

TNA reveals Matt Hardy’s partner for Under Siege Tag Team title match

Matt Hardy has found a partner for his Tag Team title challenge at TNA Under Siege.

At the TNA+ special, Hardy will team up with Leon Slater against champions Nic & Ryan Nemeth. The Nemeths won the TNA Tag Team titles from The Hardy Boyz at Rebellion, but Jeff Hardy is unable to compete at Under Siege due to the show taking place in Canada, where he cannot wrestle because of past legal trouble.

An angle took place on Impact last week where The Nemeths — knowing that Jeff couldn’t cross the border — mockingly told The Hardys they would give them a rematch at Under Siege. TNA authority figure Santino Marella then told The Nemeths that they would have to defend their titles against Matt Hardy and a partner of his choosing. Matt has enlisted the help of the 20-year-old Slater, a Hardy ally who is being mentored by him and Jeff.

Slater, a UK indie star, has been signed to TNA Wrestling since late 2023. He made headlines at Rebellion last month for a high-risk 450 splash spot where his fellow Ultimate X competitors failed to catch him. Slater was not seriously hurt despite the rough landing. Moose won the match to retain the X-Division Championship.

The CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario, Canada is hosting Under Siege on Friday, May 23. Here is the updated lineup:

  • Joe Hendry & Elijah vs. Trick Williams & Frankie Kazarian
  • Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich defends against Victoria Crawford (the former Alicia Fox)
  • TNA Tag Team Champions Nic Nemeth & Ryan Nemeth defend against Matt Hardy & Leon Slater
  • Eddie Edwards vs. Cody Deaner (Deaner will receive a new TNA contract if he wins)

Four TNA champions confirmed for AAA Triplemania Regia

Four TNA stars have officially been confirmed for an upcoming Lucha Libre AAA event.

Joe Hendry, Moose, and Nic & Ryan Nemeth are heading to Mexico next month for Triplemania Regia. The show is being held at Arena Monterrey on Sunday, June 15 and is the first major AAA event in Mexico since it was announced that the company is being purchased by WWE.

The matches Hendry, Moose, and The Nemeths will be competing in have not been announced yet. Their participation in Triplemania Regia was announced by Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown.

“We’re thrilled to welcome these four incredible TNA stars to AAA,” Dorian Roldan, general manager of AAA, told The Takedown. “This collaboration represents the best of both worlds — the passion and tradition of Lucha Libre, and the global momentum of TNA. Our fans are in for something truly special.”

Hendry, Moose, and The Nemeths are all currently champions in TNA. Hendry holds the TNA World Championship, Moose is the X-Division Champion, and Nic & Ryan Nemeth are the TNA Tag Team Champions. Nic Nemeth was a former World Champion for WWE as Dolph Ziggler.

WWE’s Angelo and Berto (Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo) will also be competing at Triplemania Regia.

The acquisition of AAA is expected to become official in Q3 of this year with WWE taking majority control of the promotion (51 percent) and Mexican sports and entertainment company Fillip owning 49 percent. Before Triplemania Regia, a Worlds Collide show will take place in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 7 with wrestlers from WWE, NXT, and AAA.
