El Hijo del Vikingo wins Latin American Championship at AAA Noche de Los Grandes

El Hijo del Vikingo is the brand new AAA Latin American Champion.

In the second match of the night on the May 30, 2026 edition of AAA Noche de los Grandes at Arena Monterrey, fans saw Vikingo defeat El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. to crown himself the new Latin American Champion.

Minutes after Rey Fenix won the Cruiserweight Championship, Vikingo, with Omos and Dorian Roldan by his side, defeated El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. in a short, almost 8-minute match. The match also saw the involvement of Galeno, who tried to take down Omos. It also had Mini Vikingo interfering and attacking El Hijo del Vikingo with a springboard dropkick.

Despite numerous disruptions, Vikingo ultimately secured victory by pinning El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. with a 630 senton in the final moments of the match. Moments after winning the match, Vikingo escaped the ring and celebrated his new championship win with Roldan and Omos at ringside.

Rey Fenix wins Cruiserweight Championship at AAA Noche de Los Grandes

Rey Fenix has won the Cruiserweight Championship at AAA Noche de los Grandes.

For the past few weeks, Fenix and Laredo Kid have been actively feuding in AAA. Despite Fenix’s victory over Kid earlier this month, Kid managed to retain his title against Fenix last week through the use of a low blow.

However, shortly after, it was announced that Kid would defend his title against Fenix at AAA Noche de los Grandes. In the opening match of the May 30, 2026 edition of Noche de los Grandes, Fenix defeated Kid and won the title.

The two engaged in an extremely closely fought battle. While Fenix blocked an initial low blow from Kid, he later received one when the referee was distracted by an exposed turnbuckle. However, Fenix still managed to continue the match.

The closing moments of the bout saw Fenix put Laredo Kid away with a Mexican Muscle Buster to become the new AAA World Cruiserweight Champion. Kid held the title since December 2024. Fenix had previously held the title from 2022 to 2023 before having to relinquish it. The title win at Noche de los Grandes also marked Fenix’s first singles title win since leaving AEW in 2025.

Updated lineups for AAA’s two-week Noche de Los Grandes event

AAA Noche de Los Grandes is now a two-night event and will continue for a span of two weeks, starting on May 30, 2026.

Fans will notice a star-studded event take place taking place at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. While a few more matches are expected to get added to the card, the current lineup has five matches, three of which are championship bouts. On the May 23 episode of AAA on Fox, it was announced that Noche de Los Grandes will be aired on Fox for two nights, similar to what they had done for the Rey de Reyes event.

After Laredo Kid cheated and low blowed Rey Fenix to retain his AAA World Cruiserweight Championship on the May 23 episode of AAA on Fox, new general manager Rey Mysterio booked another title match for Kid next week. On May 30, 2026, Laredo Kid will again defend his World Cruiserweight title against Fenix. Laredo has been champion since December 2024, and tonight’s title defense against Fenix was his eighth.

It was also later updated that the previously announced six-woman tag-team match will take place on June 6, 2026.

Rey Mysterio named new general manager of AAA

Rey Mysterio is Lucha Libre AAA’s brand new general manager.

After weeks of teasing on AAA on Fox, the promotion’s brand-new general manager was announced on Saturday, May 23, 2026, during the live episode.

AAA President Marisela Pena kicked off the May 23, 2026 episode with the new general manager announcement. Several AAA legends and current talent were in the ring and ringside for the announcement. Pena’s son, Dorian Roldan, was also inside the ring beside his mother, hoping to get the job.

However, in a shocking turn of events, Pena announced WWE Hall of Famer and legendary luchador Rey Mysterio as the promotion’s new general manager. With Mysterio announced as the new authority figure, fans also connected the dots of his voice missing from the English commentary at the start of the show.

While the wrestlers and legends present inside the ring and ringside celebrated Mysterio’s appointment, Roldan and AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio were visibly upset at the announcement.

Rey Mysterio will be joining The Undertaker, part of AAA on Fox’s creative team, as the new General Manager.

**********

And here we go, fresh from Saturday Night’s Main Event!

The show kicked right off with the announcement of the new AAA General manager: Rey Mysterio jr!

Dom is gonna be maaaaaaaad….

Mysterio then announced the start of the first match:

AAA World Cruiserweight Championship Match: Laredo Kid (c) vs Rey Fenix

Savio Vega joined the commentary team to replace new GM Rey Mysterio and the bell rang to start the match. Fenix started working the arm of Laredo, sending him off the ropes but falling victim to an arm drag.

Laredo reset himself and Fenix grabbed him in a headlock. He broke out of that and Fenix went to the outside. Laredo hit a suicide dive onto him and threw him back in. He went for a top rope dropkick, but Fenix grabbed him in midair and turned it into a sit out powerbomb for a two count.

Laredo hit a neckbreaker and then a michinoku driver, but Fenix was able to kick out of the cover. Fenix went for a spingboard, but Laredo was waiting. He applied a waistlock on the second rope and Fenix fought him off, rolling into a cutter.

Fenix hoisted Laredo up for a brain buster, but Laredo kicked out of the cover. Fenix sent him to the corner, but Laredo countered into a destroyer DDT that shook the ring. Fenix somehow kicked out at two.

Laredo hit a poisonrana but Fenix came right back with a German suplex. Laredo hit a big forearm, but Fenix came back with a step up kick. He hoisted Laredo up for a Mexican Muscle buster, but Laredo countered it.

Fenix then went for a discus elbow, but Laredo collapsed. The ref checked on Laredo and then went to talk to the time keeper. While he was doing that, Laredo hit a low blow on Fenix. The ref turned back around in time to see Laredo hit a frog splash and get the pin to retain his title.

Match Result: Laredo Kid defeated Rey Fenix

It was then announced that Noche De Los Grandes will be two week event starting next week. Full card(s) to come, but the event will feature a Six Woman Tag Match, the War Raiders vs Pagano & Psycho Clown for the AAA Tag Team Championships and of course, the Mask-Vs-Mask match to end the Americano Civil War; Real El Grande Americano vs OG El Grande Americano.

-Back from break, Rey Mysterio approached Laredo Kid about his actions in the previous match. He said he was disappointed in Laredo, but Laredo said a win is a win. Mysterio said that Fenix would get another shot at Laredo at Noche De Los Grandes.

Los Hermanos Americanos (Julios and Bruto Creddos aka The Creed Brothers) vs. Los Americanos (Rayo and Bravo)

The Creed’s came down in their Los Hermanos Americanos personas while JBL and Graves debated if they were in fact the Creed Brothers. I’m sure everyone totally understood and wasn’t confused. Because I know I wasn’t. It must have be you.

Any way, The match would be contested under Superlucha rules which meant there wouldn’t be any tages needed. With that being the case, I won’t lie to you, the whole switcheroo between the Creeds and the Creedos was confusing as hell and made it really hard to follow what was going on. They were in the same outfits and it was a bit of a nightmare. So I tried my best.

The Creedos’ took out Rayo and Bravo on the outside with a double dive and then beat them up ant ringside. Rayo took out Bruto, but then Julios slammed him headfirst into the steel steps. They tossed Rayo back into the ring with a couple of chairs and tried to get him with a con-chair-to but Bravo pulle him out of the way.

Rayo and Bravo then used the chairs to take out Julios and then set up Bruto on the chair. They dropped him face-first onto the chair and then split Julio’s legs around the ring post. Bravo then pulled an OG Americano Piniata out from underneath the ring and hit Bruto with it, splitting it in half and spreading candy around the ring.

Rayo and Bravo then pulled a table out and set it up on the barricades. Julio and Bruto came down and beat them up, with Julio dropping Bravo on the ring apron. The Hermanos were in control now and Julio and Rayo fought in the ring. Bruto joined him and they beat up Rayo.

They slammed Rayo onto the chair and then dropped him back first onto it. Rayo popped back up and tried to fight them off but fell victim to the damn numbers game. Bravo came flying into the ring to break up a pin, but the Hermanos beat him up and sent him back out.

Bravo returned with an American flag and beat up Julio with it. Rayo sent Bruto flying off the ringpost and Bravo hit an Airplane spin into an olympic slam. Both Americanos went up top for duelling diving headbutts, but somehow Bruto kicked out of the cover.

Bravo dropkicked Bruto, then Julio took him out. Rayo tried to help but they both got caught in a super collider by the Hermanos. It led to a double kickout at two though.

Julio hit a double superplex off the ring post followed by a 450, but Bravo kicked out of the cover.

Bruto set up a table at ringside and they went to throw Rayo through it but Bravo popped up with a kendo stick and took them out. He laid out Bruto on the table and Rayo climbed up and hit a splash from the ringpost, driving Bruto through the table.

Bravo then went at Julio with the kendo stickm, holding him while Rayo loaded up his mask and hit him with a diving headbutt. Before they could make the cover though OG Americano showed up and put Rayo through the announce table.

Real Americano came running down with a chair and beat up the Hermanos. OG got in the ring and they stared each other down, unable to touch each other lest they ruin their Mask-Vs-Mask match. OG bailed from the ring and Real grabbed a mic.

He said that OG will never beat him because he doesn’t understand Mexican wrestling. The only thing OG is going to be is a “shorty.” That brought OG back into the ring and he got ready to fight. OG pulled off his sweatshirt and he had a shirt underneath with a picture of Real’s girlfriend who OG got fired at their contract signing.

It was about to go off when the Hermanos and Americanos ran into the ring and pulled them apart. OG and Real broke free though and started slugging each other, violating the no touching rule!

Security arrived and everyone tried to pull them apart.

Match Result: The Creed Brothers vs. Los Americanos went to a no contest, I guess?

Rey Mysterio Jr came out and told them to calm down. He said that next week Mask vs Mask was on no matter what. At least I think thats what he said, Savio’s translations are not as good as Rey’s.

The brawl continued and the locker room emptied to try and maintain some control as the show transitioned into a comic-book style promo for Noches de Los Grandes.

Cruiserweight title match set for next AAA on Fox episode

A Cruiserweight championship match has been announced for the next AAA on Fox episode.

For several weeks now, WWE’s Rey Fenix has been in a feud with Laredo Kid for his AAA Cruiserweight championship.

Now, finally, after weeks of feuding, a title match has been set between the two. Next week on the May 23, 2026 episode of AAA on Fox, Fenix will face Kid for the Cruiserweight title.

Kid has held the championship since December 2024. Fenix is himself a former AAA World Cruiserweight Champion and held the belt for over 390 days before vacating the title.

A few weeks ago, on the May 5, 2026, episode of AAA on Fox, Fenix had defeated Kid in a non-title match, prompting the promotion to schedule the two this time with the title on the line.

Chasing the Cruiserweight title on AAA, Fenix had recently also expressed his desire to go after his brother Penta’s Intercontinental Championship on WWE RAW.

AAA on Fox next week lineup | May 23, 2026

As of now, only one match has been announced for the May 23, 2026 episode of AAA on Fox.

  • Rey Fenix vs. Laredo Kid for the AAA Cruiserweight Championship

Bayley returns to AAA, helps Lola Vice & La Catalina

Bayley has returned to AAA on Fox.

In the second match of the night during La Catalina’s AAA debut, fans saw the triumphant return of Bayley. La Catalina’s AAA in-ring debut took place on the May 9th episode of AAA on Fox, where she secured a win over Jessy Jackson.

Before the match began, AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Lady Flammer joined the commentary team. Following Catalina’s win, she was ambushed by Las Toxicas (Flammer, Maravilla & La Hiedra). Soon, the NXT Women’s Champion and AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion, Lola Vice, showed up to help. However, to make up for the number’s disadvantage, WWE veteran Bayley returned to AAA to help.

Bayley last wrestled for AAA at Rey de Reyes, where she lost her Reina de Reinas championship match against Lady Flammer.

Psycho Clown calling out Pagano rounds out the announced card while a four-way tag team match featuring La Parka & Mr. Iguana vs. Money Machine vs. Nueva Generacion Dinamita vs. Tokyo Bad Boys is also anticipated.

Our live coverage begins when the show starts: after the Backlash post-show ends.

**********

We are back and ready to serve up a hot helping of Lucha Libre action on tonights episode of AAA on Fox! WWE made a big announcement about Triplemania earlier during Backlash, so we’ll see how often that comes up tonight.

In the meantime, there’s two great looking matches and a whole bunch of Clown drama on the docket tonight, so let’s not waste any more time!

Triple Threat Match: Lince Dorado vs. Octagón Jr. vs. Cruz Del Toro

This is one of those matches where I think to myself “who cares why this is happening, I’m just stoked that it is!” because it’s just that awesome.

Off the bell, everyone took a second to see who could make the crowd cheer more. Dorado seemed to be the winner but ended up on the outside first. Cruz and Octagon fought in the ring with Octagon nailing him with a tornado shoulder block. Cruz popped back up though and put Octagon in a leg lock, complete with spin move.

Dorado then rejoined the fray and broke it up, trying to grab a pin on Octagon, but Cruz did the breaking up this time. Octagon took a powder and Dorado hit an around the world DDT on Cruz. Cruz countered with an attempted baseball slide, but Dorado leapt onto the ropes to avoid it. He then flipped onto Cruz on the outside.

Dorado pulled Cruz back into the ring and put him in an armbar, but Criz powered out of it with a, well, a power bomb. Octagon showed back up with a twisting dive from the top turnbuckle and all three fought in the ring, with Octagon taking out Cruz with a head scissor.

Things were moving fast and furious as Octagon hit Cruz on the outside with a crossbody from the ring post. Tossing him back in the ring, Octagon hit a tornado splash, but Dorado broke up the pin. He started trading chops with Octagon, then hit a handspring stunner on Octagon off the ropes. Cruz broke up that pin.

All three started spamming superkicks until Octagon hit a cutter on Cruz. Then Dorado took him out, but Cruz was there to take Dorado out. As Corey Graves put it, “this was an all out sprint from the bell!”

Octoagon hit a moonsault slam on Cruz from the top rope, but Dorado was there to break up the pin just in time. Octagon dragged Cruz into position for a high move, but Croz pulled him off the ringpost, set him up in a tree of woe and then went coast to coast with a dropkick.

Dorado then snuck in with a shooting star press on Octagon. Cruz grabbed Dorado, but Dorado countered into a brain buster and got the pin to win the match.

Match Result: Lince Dorado defeated Octagón Jr. and Cruz Del Toro

La Catalina vs. Jesse Jackson

Catalina has been gunning for 1000+ day Reina de Reinas Champion Flammer of Las Toxicas. She gets a warmup tonight against someone who is neither a civil rights activist or an auxiliary member of the Jackson 5.

Before the match could begin, Flammer came down to the ring. She joined the Spanish announce team (or as they are known in lucha libre, the announce team) and the bell rang.

They locked up to begin, with Catalina shoving Jackson into the ropes. They traded wristlocks until Jackson bounced Catalina’s head off the canvas. Catalina returned the favor with an arm drag, sending Jackson into the corner.

Jackson dodged the charge though and Catalina had to think fast and hit her with a dropkick, sending Jackson to the outside. Cataline then dropped a leg on her from the apron and then said hi to Mrs. Roldan at ringside.

Back in the ring, Jackson hit Catalina in the face with an axe handle, then followed up with a meteora, but Catalina kicked out of the cover. Jackson started throwing punches, but Catalina wouldn’t stay down. Jackson sent her to the corner for some chops but Catalina fed her a big boot.

Catalina came off the top with a vicious missile dropkick and then a hip atack, but Jackson kicked out at two. Catalina went for a dropkick, but Jackson dodged it and countered with a running elbow. Jackson came out of the corner, but Catalina was waiting with a high knee.

Catalina went up top, but Jackson cut her off, pulling her down and bouncing the back of her head off the turnbuckle. Jackson then hit a knee and went for a cover, but Catalina kicked out. Jackson went for a suplex, but Catalina countered into a superkick.

She dumped Jackson in front of the ring post and went up top. Catalina hit a splash from the top and that was it. Catalina made the pin and got the victory in her AAA debut.

Match Result: La Catalina defeated Jesse Jackson

After the match, Flammer and Catalina talked trash until the other members of Las Toxicas ran down to beat up Catalina. They held her while Flammer kicked Catalina in the gut and smashed her with forearms. They were laying in a 3-on-1 beating when Lola Vice ran down to make the save. However, she was taken out by the damn numbers game, but who should show up to even the odds? Bayley!

Bayley, Vice and Catalina cleared the ring of Las Toxicas, sending them running up the ramp while they celebrated with the crowd. If this isn’t a six-woman match at Noche de los Grandes, I will be very disappointed.

Speaking of Noche de los Grandes, it was announced that El Hijo De Vikingo will take on El Hijo de Dr Wagner Jr for the AAA Latin American Championship on May 30th.

Psycho Clown Calls Out Pagano

Normally, a promo or interview segment instead of a match to end the night would bum me out, but I don’t think you understand how excited I am for this face off.

To bring you up to speed: Pagano and Psycho Clown are currently the AAA Tag Team Champions. They are also part of the Psycho Circus group that includes Panic Clown, Murder Clown and Dave… The Clown. Someone has been taking out the clowns (not sending them in) one by one over the last few months. Pagano and Psycho have been trying to figure things out while defending their tag titles, leading to the questioning of their co-existence. So

On the April 23rd episode of AAA, Psycho had a match against Ivar of the War Raiders. As one would expect, Erik got involved and Psycho fell to the 2-on-1 advantage. Pagano ran down to help, but was way too late to stop Ivar from winning. This lead to a backstage argument between Pagano and Psycho. Pagao stormed off and Psycho went into the locker room to discover that Murder Clown had been beaten unconscious! Psycho rushed to help his brother-in-clowning only to discover a telltale bandana at the scene. A bandana belonging to Pagano!

So tonight, they will try and hash things out clown-to-clown in an effort to get to the truth of what’s been happening in the Psycho Circus.

Best. Story. In. Wrestling. Right. Now. Maybe. Ever.

Psycho stood in the ring as a recap of the last few months played. He grabbed a mic and addressed the crowd (with Rey Mysterio translating, thanks Rey!). He said he can’t ignore what’s been going on and called Pagano to the ring.

Pagano came down to his version of Sol Ruca’s music and got a mic of his own. Psycho said that they were brothers and their other brothers have been taken out one by one. He then asked Pagano what he had to say about it. He then confronted Pagano with the bandana.

Psycho asked Pagano what was going on. Pagano said that after all they have been through together, how could Psycho believe that he could do something like this? Pagano said that someone was trying to destroy them.

Pagano said that he understands why Psycho would accuse him, but maybe he should take a look at himself in the mirror, because it wasn’t Pagano. He said he would never turn his back on his family and went in for a hug, but Psycho shoved him off.

Psycho threw down his mic and left the ring. Pagano called him back saying when the truth comes out, Psycho will find out that Pagano was innocent.

Suddenly the War Raiders appeared and jumped Psycho from behind. Pagano rand down to help and drove the War Raiders off. Psycho and Pagano then stared each other down and exited through different sides of the entrance as the show came to an end.

Drama! Intrigue! Clowns!!

AAA on Fox spoiler: WWE main roster star returns

Bayley returned to AAA on Saturday in Queretaro, Mexico.

In addition to Saturday’s episode, which aired live on Fox in Latin America and on social media everywhere else, AAA also taped episodes last night for the remainder of the month leading to Noche de los Grandes on May 30.

At the taping, Bayley returned to the promotion and aligned with La Catalina and Lola Vice against Las Tóxicas (Flammer, Lady Maravilla & La Hiedra) for an angle.

Bayley in AAA

The last time we saw Bayley in AAA was at Rey de Reyes on March 14 in Puebla. She answered La Hiedra’s open challenge for a Reina de Reinas title match but was defeated after interference from Flammer and Maravilla.

Spoilers from the rest of Saturday’s tapings at the Auditorio Jose Maria Arteaga in Queretaro, Mexico are not currently available.

A clip of Bayley’s appearance at the taping is available below:

El Hijo del Vikingo suffers apparent injury during AAA on FOX match

On the May 2, 2026 episode of AAA on Fox, El Hijo del Vikingo apparently suffered an injury during his match.

In the opening match of the night on Saturday, May 2, 2026, El Hijo del Vikingo faced off against Mini Vikingo in a high-flying and brutal match. Following a closely contested fight, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. interfered and helped Mini Vikingo secure the victory.

However, toward the closing point of the match, fans saw Vikingo clothesline Mini Vikingo and hit a scary Urinagi from the top turnbuckle. Shortly after, he was seen clutching his shoulder.

Although not confirmed yet, it seemed Vikingo suffered a shoulder injury following that Urinagi spot. After the match, Omos made his way to the ring and took out Wagner Jr. and Mini Vikingo, while the medical team checked out El Hijo del Vikingo.

While the injury has not been confirmed yet, Vikingo is next scheduled to face El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. at AAA Noche de Los Grandes for the AAA Latin American Championship.

AAA Noche de Los Grandes updated lineup

La Catalina debut, Pagano/Psycho Clown confrontation part of next week’s AAA lineup

La Catalina is set to make her wrestling debut on next week’s episode of AAA on Fox on May 9, 2026.

Following her explosive debut and confrontation against Las Toxicas a few weeks ago, La Catalina is now all set to make her AAA on Fox in-ring debut.

She arrived at the promotion on the April 11th episode of AAA. The May 2, 2026, episode of AAA on Fox featured a segment highlighting La Catalina’s arrival. She is now set to be in a match against an unnamed opponent on the May 9, 2026, episode of AAA.

In addition to this, Psycho Clown is also set to confront Pagano on next week’s episode of AAA on Fox. For the past few weeks, several members of Psycho Circus were attacked, causing a rift between Pagano and Psycho Clown. The two are now scheduled to come face-to-face next week.

AAA on Fox next week’s updated lineup

The next episode of AAA on Fox is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Here are the two segments announced for the show:

Creed Brothers arrive in AAA to help OG El Grande Americano

Fans on the May 2, 2026, episode of AAA on Fox were treated to the arrival of The Creed Brothers.

Julius and Brutus Creed, a part of Chad Gable’s American Made, appeared on the May 2, 2026, episode of AAA on Fox and attacked El Grande Americano.

El Grande Americano and OG El Grande Americano are scheduled to be in a mask vs. mask match at Noche de Los Grandes on May 30th. During their contract signing on Saturday, the original El Grande Americano (Chad Gable) presented a new contract with his terms that needed to be put in place.

The new contract provisions noted that if any physicality takes place before their match, El Grande Americano 2 (Ludwig Kaiser) will automatically lose his mask. The second provision asked that the AAA backstage interviewer, Andrea Bazarte, be removed from AAA. Interestingly, Bazarte is the real-life partner of Kaiser.

After Bazarte agreed to the terms and asked Grande Americano 2 to defeat Gable’s Americano, the original El Grande Americano signed the contract.

However, as the original one exited the ring, Kaiser’s Americano was ambushed by The Creed Brothers (Julius Creed & Brutus Creed). They slammed El Grande Americano 2 through a table, before Rayo and Bravo Americano (Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate) appeared in time to make the save.

AAA Noche de Los Grandes updated lineup

  • El Hijo Del Vikingo vs. Mini Vikingo
  • El Grande Americano and The Original Grande Americano sign their contract for Noche de los Grandes

Our live coverage begins at 10 p.m. Eastern.

*****************************************

It’s AAA, it’s live live live, and it’s right now now now!

There’s lots to get to tonight including a non title dream match, the possible attempted murder of a small man and of course a completely normal and uneventful contract signing.

There may also be clowns. But first:

The show kicked off with Dorian Roldan telling El Hijo Del Vikingo that he will have a match against El Hiji De Dr Wagner Jr for his Latin American Championship on May 30th, while Omos looked on. Then they said some stuff about family.

El Hijo Del Vikingo vs. Mini Vikingo

The term “blood feud” gets tossed around a lot, sometimes even in wrestling. Mini Vikingo and Regular Sized Vikingo have been embroiled in a bitter battle for weeks now. It started when Vikingo started hanging around with that no good Dorian Roldan and Omos. They picked on Mini Vikingo and after a loss, Vikingo rescinded Mini’s permission to use his name and likeness. Then Vikingo and Omos put him in the hospital. Not satisfied with making Mini’s mom cry, Vikingo went to the hospital and beat him up some more. Then Mini Vikingo interfered in Vikingo’s Rey De Reyes match for the AAA Mega Championship against Dirty Dom Mysterio and spoiled Vikingo’s chance to win the WWE Intercontinental Title from Penta. So this Battle of The Vikingos has built to tonights match, where Mini faces Regular Sized one-on-one.

Right off the top, Vikingo threw his cape over Mini and stomped him. He flattened Mini with a dropkick as the bell rang and stomped his chest in the corner. Vikingo brutalized Mini, throwing strikes and slams around the ring. Mini kicked out of every pin attempt though.

Vikingo fishhooked Mini in a modified camel clutch then sent him off the ropes, dropping him with a takedown into an ankle lock. Vikingo bounced Mini’s head off the mat until the ref made him stop.

Mini found some fight in him though, open hand slapping Vikingo. Vikingo hit him with a superkick, which staggered him against the ropes. Vikingo then dropkicked Mini to the outside. He sent Mini into the steel steps and then walked him up to the ramp where he suplexed him on the steel.

Vikingo then powerbombed Mini on the ramp, throwing him about ten feet towards the entrance. Vikingo pulled Mini back to the ring by the hair and went for a cover. The ref counted one, two and then Vikingo pulled Mini up to continue the assault.

Vikingo charged Mini in the corner, but Mini woke up and avoided it. He hit him with a headscissor, nearly getting a three count. Vikingo bailed from the ring and Mini took him out with a spinning leap over the top rope into a crucifix driver, spiking Vikingo on the floor and making a highlight reel moment that should be relplayed daily. It was honestly incredible.

Mini took control, clubbing and stomping Vikingo. He went for a springboard frog splash, but Vikingo got his knees up. Vikingo powerbombed Mini in the middle of the ring, but Mini somehow kicked out of the cover.

A frustrated Vikingo started kicking and punching Mini like a schoolyard brawl. He then went over and removed the pad from the second turnbuckle. Vikingo went to throw Mini into the exposed turnbuckle, but Mini countered with a drop toe hold and sent him face first into the steel.

Mini then scrambled up and landed a 450, but Vikingo kicked out, preventing the upset. Vikingo then threw Mini into the official, who was sent to the outside. Mini hit a hurricanrana and pinned Vikingo. The bell rang, but no one knew who rang the bell, if there was a count, or who won.

In the chaos, Vikingo clotheslined Mini and then hit a very scary urinagi from the top turnbuckle. He made the pin, but again, there was no one to count it. Vikingo rolled out of the ring clutching his shoulder and grabbed a chair.

Vikingo went to use the chair on Mini, but Dr Wagner Jr ran down and hit a Wagner Driver on Vikingo on the chair! Mini scrambled up and hit a, I kid you not, 630 onto Vikingo and the ref slid back in to count 1-2-3 in one of the biggest upsets in Lucha Libre history!

Match Result: Mini Vikingo defeated El Hijo Del Vikingo

After the match, Omos stomped down to the ring and took out Wagner Jr. He then lawn-darted Mini into the ringpost and rolled Wagner into the ring. He chopped and kicked him and was about to powerbomb him when Glaneno Del Mal (Wagner’s brother) ran in with a chair! He nailed Omos and the two chased him out of the ring.

I don’t mean to be a hater, but the first 23 minutes of this episode of AAA were more exciting than both nights of this year’s Wrestlemania combined. Absolutely fantastic match, storytelling and even then run-in was fun and made sense. AAA ¡Para toda la vida!

Non-Title Match: AAA World Cruiserweight Champion Laredo Kid vs. Rey Fenix

If you joined us last week, you’ll remember Laredo Kid losing a non-title-champion-vs-champion match to El Hijo de Dr Wagner Jr abd neing pretty salty about it. After the match, Fenix tried to cheer him up, but Laredo blew him off and angrily stomped away, leaving Fenix staring after him and thoughtfully stroking his chin. That’s wrestling code for “I think I want to fight that guy who I was just trying to cheer up next week…” So here we are!

Laredo tried to keep Fenix off his feet in the opening minutes, but Fenix was able to dodge and kip up everything thrown at him. The pace picked up with neither one gaining control, each countering the other until Laredo bailed from the ring to collect himself. Fenix went off the ropes to dive, but Laredo was already back in the ring and cut him off with a spear.

Laredo went back to basics, throwing punches and slaps at Fenix. He dropkicked him in the head, but Fenix kicked out at two. Fenix tried a spin kick, but Laredo countered it into a Michinoku driver. Laredo went up top and landed a perfect crossbody splash. Fenix kicked out of the cover at two.

Fenix started a comeback with a back elbow and superkick. He punted Laredo’s head off the top rope, but Laredo kicked out of the cover. Fenix insiguir’ed Laredo to the outside and then leapt off the apron for a hurricanrana.

Fenix threw Laredo back into the ring and hit a moonsault from the top turnbuckle. Another kickout at two though for Laredo. Fenix continued with the kicks to the head, setting up Laredo for a Mexican Muscle Buster.

Laredo got out of hit though and dropped Fenix with a hard right hand and then a moonsault from the bottom rope. He went for a second one, but Fenix moved. No bother because Laredo hit him with a Mexican Destroyer DDT. Fenix somehow kicked out at ONE though!

Laredo set up Fenix, but Fenix exploded out of nowhere with a cutter. They started trading chops, until Fenix sent Laredo into the corner. He charged him but got caught by another right from Laredo. Laredo went up top, but Fenix climbed the ladder and hit an uppercut.

He grabbed Laredo and nailed him with a Mexican Muscle buster. Fenix made the cover and the ref counted three to give him the victory.

Match Result: Rey Fenix defeated Laredo Kid

Another absolutely stellar match. Fenix should be in line for a shot at Laredo’s Crusierweight Title asap. Hey, maybe on May 30th? The match was so good that the crowd started throwing coins into the ring, which is a sign of great respect in Lucha Libre.

Next, a video package aired recapping all the clown drama in the Psycho Circus lately. Someone took out Panic Clown and Dave The Clown and Psycho Clown began to suspect his tag team partner Pagano after Pagano was late to help Psycho in a match against the War Raiders. They argued and Pagano stormed off, but Psycho turned the corner and found an unconscious Murder Clown, a telltale bandanna left on his chest. A bandanna belonging to none other than Pagano! Next week, Psycho and Pagano will meet face-to-face to get to the bottom of this and I can almost guarantee that it will be awesome. Clown-level awesome.

It was also announced that next week, La Catalina will make her in-ring AAA debut.

Real El Grande Americano and Original El Grande Americano Contract Signing for Noche de los Grandes

As anyone who’s ever seen wrestling knows, the most dangerous moment in any competitor’s career is when they must face their opponent one-on-one in the ring and do the paperwork to make their match official. I’ve often wondered if other matches on the card had to go through this same paperwork and they just don’t make a big deal out of it, or if these contracts are only for big-time matches. It seems like we should have more of these segments and yet, I’d really be happy with less of them, in spite of how much WWE loves them.

Anyway, to bring you up to speed on the El Grande Americano Civil War, the “Real” El Grande Americano was living high on the hog, getting over huge in both WWE and AAA. Then, the “OG” El Grande Americano returned at the Royal Rumble in January. They both won spots in the finals of Rey De Reyes with Real Americano winning the whole darn thing and getting the bigass sword. OG Americano was not happy about this and they interfered in each others business to the point it became comical. Now, Real Americano has challenged OG Americano to a Mask-vs-Mask Match on May 30th to settle things once and for all. But first, the paperwork!

Both Americanos calmly walked to the ring. Then they signed the paper, shook hands and that was it. See you May 30th!

Just kidding!

The ring was filled with Security, ring announcers and Dorian Roldan as the Americanos made their entrances. It felt kinda pointless, as everyone knows there is noone more ineffective than a security guard on a WWE payroll. Regardless, they made it to the ring.

Roldan announced that Mask-vs-Mask is one of the most important matches in Lucha Libre. He asked the Americanos to sign the contract. OG Americano then pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket and handed it to Roldan.

Roldan read it, saying it was a letter from OG’s attorney. It said that OG Americano would not face Real Americano unless the following condition was met:

No Physical altercations from now until May 30th. If this was breached, then the attacking wrestler would automatically lose their mask.

Real Americano agreed and signed the addendum to the the match contract.

Roldan then read that there was one more condition: OG would not participate in the match if the current ring announcer was not removed from AAA.

This greatly upset Real Americano and was clearly an attempt to draw him into a fight. The ring announcer (who’s name I missed, apologies), left and both Americano’s signed the match contract.

OG Americano left the ring and then suddenly the Creed Brothers showed up and drove Real Americano through the table in the ring! They covered him with the American Flag, but Rayo and Bravo Americano arrived to run them off and even the odds.

So, until the match on the 30th of May, the Americanos (Real and OG) cannot touch each other or they will automatically lose their match.

The show ended with an Americano staredown.

I am not a fan of contract signings, but as they go, this was a pretty good one. The stipulations added will make the next couple of weeks really interesting! Also, if they don’t re-name the Creeds Brutus Americano and Julius Americano, they are missing out.

Another great episode of AAA! ¡Esto es lucha libre!

Lucha Libre AAA is all set to reveal their brand new general manager next month, in May 2026.

Last week, during the April 18, 2026, episode of AAA on FOX, Dorian Roldan approached his mother, Marisela Pena Roldan, with the proposal of naming him as the new general manager of AAA.

However, she stated that she needed time to think about the decision. On the April 25 episode of AAA on Fox revealed that she will be on the search for a new general manager in the upcoming weeks.

Marisela Pena Roldan further revealed that AAA’s brand new general manager will be revealed on Saturday, May 23, 2026, on the show in Mexico City, Mexico. According to Pena Roldan, nothing in AAA will remain the same once the new general manager is unveiled.
