Taped in New York City.

Ian Riccaboni, Matt Menard & Tony Schiavone were on commentary.

Chris Jericho (w/ Big Bill) defeated Anthony Bowens (w/ Max Caster) (9:38)

This match is non-title. Jericho is very New York proud for this match. Bownes and Caster are still doing the slow burn for the split. Jericho tried to scissor with Bowens, who opted for chops and strikes instead. Bowens pounded Jericho down, and Caster popped up on the apron to celebrate. This gave Jericho his opening to attack. Jericho backdrop suplexed Bowens and chopped him around the corners. Jericho went for a bulldog, but Bownes sent him crotch first into the turnbuckles. Bowens got a near fall off a shining wizard. Jericho tried for a Lionsault, but Bowens blocked it and drove him to the map with a twisting hanging DDT for a near fall. Jericho came back and locked in the Liontamer as the show went to a split-screen break.

Bowens spent the whole split-screen break in the Liontamer, and finally got to the ropes after the break ended. Jericho walked into a rolling forearm and a fameasser for a near fall. Bowens tried to go the top, but Jericho caught him. They fought on the top until Bowens sent Jericho to the floor. Bowens dove at (but not onto) Jericho and Big Bill.

Back in the ring, Bryan Keith ran in, and this distracted allowed Max Caster to come in and slam Jericho, then set him up for Bowens to drop the scissor legdrop. Jericho hit a Codebreaker on Bowens for a near fall while Keith skulked around ringside with the belt. Bowens ducked a Judas Effect and hit a superkick for a near fall. Behind the referee’s back, Bryan Keith tried to attack Bowens with the ROH belt, but Max Caster ran in to stop him. They engaged in a tug-of-war with the belt, which predictably ended up Caster wacking Bowens. The ref turned around and saw Jericho on top of Bowens to get the pinfall.

– Private Party was very publicly partying all around New York City, leading to…

Private Party defeated Leo Sparrow & Alex Price (1:03)

Both the job guys looked like they could use a hot meal. Private Party quickly ended their night with the Gin and Juice.

After the match, Leo Rusk and Action Andretti came out to get in a brawl with the champs. Top Flight came out and soon all three teams were going at it, and security came out to break things up.

– Powerhouse Hobbs threatened the Don Callis family and promised to take the belt from Takeshita.

Thunder Rosa defeated Leila Grey (7:05 aired)

It’s an absolute injustice that 25 minutes into this show we haven’t seen Harley Cameron once.

Rosa hit a sliding lariat for a near fall. Grey countered a bodyslam with a rollup for a near fall. Grey hit a shotgun dropkick.

After the usual long commercial break, Rosa came back and hit Grey with a diving dropkick against the ropes. Grey hit a side effect for a near fall. Rosa backdropped her way out of double-underhook suplex, then locked in a camel clutch after screaming “you can’t kill me!” and Grey quickly tapped out. Most of the match was during the split-screen break.

– Tony ran down the card for tomorrow night with no new matches added.

Hook defeated Nick Wayne (w/ The Patriarchy) (12:19)

Wayne jumped Hook from behind while he was standing in the corner with his back turned. Hook hit Wayne with an exploder suplex. Wayne came back with a suplex of his own. The fight soon went to the floor, where Wayne whipped Hook into the steel steps. While Wayne distracted the ref, Christian smacked Hook’s broken arm with his contract. The ref then ejected all of the Patriarchy from ringside.

Wayne spent the entirety of the split-screen break working over Hook’s arm. After the break, Wayne ripped off Hook’s cast and started stomping on his arm. Finally, Hook came back with an exploder. The crowd was behind Hook. Hook tossed Wayne across the ring with a judo throw. A northern lights suplex was followed up with a fisherman’s suplex for a near fall.

Wayne bit Hook’s arm and snapped his neck against the top rope. Wayne hit a frog splash for a near fall. Wayne stood over Hook and crossed his arms like Taz (although the commentator’s said Wayne was imitating Shibata, I think it was Taz). Hook popped up and floored Wayne with a clothesline.

Kip Sabian and Christian tried to come back out and interfere again, but Shibata was behind them and chased them away with a 2×4. Back in the ring, Wayne countered several attempts at the Redrum. But, when he went for Wayne’s World, he dove right into Hook’s grip and he locked in the Redrum and choked Wayne out.

During the match, QT Marshall v. Jeff Jarrett, Toni Storm v. Leila Grey, The Outrunners & Top Flight  v. Lio Rush, Action Andretti & The Murder Machines were all advertised in graphics for Zero Hour tomorrow night.

– In the back, The Death Riders are murdering Darby Allin. Claudio Pillmanized his neck, and Moxley pushed him down a metal staircase. Pac stood there in his wrestling gear because Pac is awesome. And then they headed into the Hammerstein Ballroom.

– Back from the break, Jon Moxley was in the ring and he called out anyone with a problem with how he’s been acting. First came Komander, and he was immediately jumped by Claudio. Top Flight followed, and they were no help. Orange Cassidy’s music hit, but Shafir blocked his way down the aisle. Willow Nightingale’s music hit and she jumped into a brawl with Shafir. While this was happening, Adam Page and Jay White surrounded the ring and with Cassidy, evened the odds. Lio Rush and Andretti jumped Top Flight, and pretty soon the locker room emptied and everyone was out brawling with everyone. While everyone brawled at ringside. While everyone was brawling, Pac and Wheeler Yuta snuck to the control area and smashed the light board, knocking out the lights for the show. The brawl continued in the dark, but the Death Riders snuck out the back.

Jon Moxley and the Death Riders then invaded the production truck, and Moxley “put an end to Rampage,” cutting the show off the air and sending it to black. Honestly I’m not sure if that move makes him a face or a heel.

Rampage started with an (Impact) World title change and the next week had the debut of CM Punk, but by the end it was the C show of all C shows.

AEW Rampage Holiday Bash live results: Brody King vs. Komander

AEW Rampage airs tonight from Washington, DC, for its penultimate episode which will include a Continental Classic battle.

The match will see Brody King (three points) taking on Komander (no points) in the Gold league. Komander is the injury replacement for Juice Robinson who went down with a broken leg his first tournament match. Both men have one final Classic match after tonight.

Former TBS Champion Willow Nightingale will be in action against Harley Cameron.

Don Callis and Kyle Fletcher will air their latest grievances before their Don Callis Family stablemates Konosuke Takeshita and Brian Cage face Powerhouse Hobbs and Mark Davis. This will be a ‘Timecop’ situation for Cage as he will also be in action on tonight’s head-to-head Ring of Honor Final Battle streaming special.

Lio Rush & Action Andretti will take on two enhancement talents. Rush and Andretti are first in line for a shot at AEW Tag Team Champions Private Party.

Taped in Washington, DC.

We’re closing in on the end of the show’s run with Holiday Bash!

Excalibur, Matt Menard & Ian Riccaboni on commentary.

– Don Callis & the Don Callis family came out for an interview with Tony Schiavone, including ROH TV Champion Brian Cage who is also up the road defending his ROH TV Title in New York. Fletcher made excuses for his loss last week to Mark Briscoe and blamed bad officiating. I haven’t seen the match but I totally agree. Callis was trying to get over “top 1%” or something for his group, and he called out Mark Davis & Powerhouse Hobbs, which lead to…

Konosuke Takeshita & Brian Cage (w/ Don Callis) defeated Mark Davis & Powerhouse Hobbs (12:29)

The crowd started chanting “Meat!” when Cage and Hobbs started exchanging heavy blows. Davis and Hobbs leveled Cage with a double shoulderblock. Takeshita saved Cage from a double suplex and that lead to a double team legsweep/knee strike on Hobbs. Cage & Takeshita double-suplexed Hobbs for a near fall. Hobbs came back with an exploder on Cage. Davis got the tag and tossed Cage around. Davis went for a senton, but Cage got his knees up. Takeshita came in an hit a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall.

Davis dropped Cage with a back suplex and tags were made on both sides. Hobbs floored Takeshita with a series of clotheslines, the floored Cage with one as well. Hobbs hit a pair of Oklahoma Stampedes (one on each opponent). Takeshita countered a spinebuster and hit a rolling forearm. Hobbs hit a spinebuster, but the pin was broken up by Cage.

Cage hit a German suplex and some kind of crazy pumphandle slam variant on Hobbs for a near fall. Soon, all four guys were slugging it out. Davis hit a way too high angle suplex on Takeshita while Hobbs and Cage tumbled over the top rope. Davis caught Takeshita with a pop-up enziguri. Takeshita escaped a piledriver attempt and floored Davis with a running knee. Takeshita finished off Davis with the Burning Fire and got the pinfall. This was a meat party match.

– Renee Paquette interviewed WIllow Nightingale about her match in the Tokyo Dome next month. Kris Statlander showed up to wish Nightingale good luck.

Lio Rush & Action Andretti vs. Goldy & Miles Hawkins (1:07)

Neither team got an entrance, as it was back from break with both teams in the ring and the bell ringing. A stunner from Rush into a neckbreaker from Andretti ended it for one of the enhancement guys.

After the match, Private Party came out to… party… in public? They know when you party in front of everyone it isn’t private, right? Top Flight’s music played and this actually distracted Private Party and gave Andretti and Rush the opportunity to jump the champs.

– Rene Paquette interviewed Harley Cameron about her upcoming match, when Penelope Ford came by to compare assets. By which, she meant win/loss records. Ford offered to watch Cameron’s back. “What’s on my back? Feel the wrath of Harley Cameron!” Rene: “But she was nice to you.” “Then… don’t feel the wrath of Harley Cameron!”

I hope a series finale is just a “Best of Harley” show from the last six months.

Willow Nightingale defeated Harley Cameron (5:38 aired)

Most of this match happened in a split-screen break. Nightingale missed a cannonball in the corner, and Cameron hit a Shining Wizard for a near fall. Cameron countered a fireman’s carry with a victory roll. Nightingale dropped Cameron with a Death Valley Driver for a near fall, then hit a Doctorbomb for the pinfall.

After the match, Penelope Ford jumped Nightingale, and Kris Statlander ran in for the save. The crowd chanted for Willow and Kris to hug it out, but Kris (who was struggling with her top) left the ring instead.

– Rene Paquette ran down a very good promo package for the Thunder Rosa/Mariah May “Tijuana Street Fight” next weekend at World’s End.

Brody King (2-2, 6 points) v Komander (0-3*, 0 points) in a Gold League Continental Classic Match (14:49)

Komander is mathematically eliminated and King can create a four-way tie on the top of the Blue League with everyone having six points.

King overpowered Komander at every turn. Komander’s legs were rubber after a clothesline to the side of the head. King mauled Komander with chops and forearms against the ropes. Komander caught King with a crucifix bomb, but King rolled to the floor. Komander tried a springboard crossbody to the floor, but King caught him and whipped him about the ring barricades. King charged at Komander for a bodyblock, but he got out of the way and King hit the ring barricade. King got to his feet, and Komander came off the top with a springboard moonsault.

Back in the ring, Komader tried to go to the top, but King caught him. Komander managed a sunset flip powerbomb off the top on King, then hit a 450 splash for a near fall. Komander dodged a shoulder tackle in the corner and dropkicked King to the floor. Komander hit another springboard moonsault to the crowd. The crowd chanted for Komander, as they were really into the match. Komander again went to the top and caught King with a ropewalk shooting star press just as King was sliding into the ring to break the count. Komander dove and King again, but this time King caught him and stuffed him with a piledriver to get the pinfall and the three points.

Tremendous match.

AEW Rampage Winter is Coming live results: Toni Storm vs. Harley Cameron

Toni Storm returns to an AEW ring for the first time since August on tonight’s AEW Rampage Winter is Coming.

Storm, the former AEW Women’s World Champion, made her surprise return to the promotion on Wednesday’s Dynamite in the main event segment following Mariah May’s successful World title defense against Mina Shirakawa. Storm is in action on tonight’s episode against Harley Cameron.

A tag team bout featuring members of the Don Callis Family is also set for the show, with Callis charges Konosuke Takeshita and Lance Archer taking on Powerhouse Hobbs and Mark Davis, formerly of Aussie Open.

Callis will also speak on tonight’s show in a promo segment with Kyle Fletcher.

The top contender to the ROH World title Matt Cardona faces Bryan Keith on tonight’s show. Cardona challenges Chris Jericho for the ROH World title at Final Battle next Friday. Jericho will be on commentary for tonight’s contest.

Deonna Purrazzo vs. Shazza McKenzie is also set for the show.

**********

Matt Cardona def. Bryan Keith

Chris Jericho joined Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Matt Menard on commentary for this match between “the Bad Apple” and his Final Battle opponent, Matt Cardona of GCW. Before the match, we saw a highlight of Cardona and Jericho’s contract signing on last night’s episode of Ring of Honor on HonorClub.

Cardona and Keith started off with a lockup in the ring as the fans chanted “Always Ready”. Keith backed away from Cardona after the test of strength, but found himself down on the mat with a shoulder block from Cardona.

Keith got flattened by a flapjack from Cardona, followed by a clothesline in the corner. Keith rolled out of the ring to avoid a corner attack from Cardona, but he couldn’t escape the dropkick afterwards. Outside the ring, Cardona threw Keith into the barricade with a Russian leg sweep. On the opposite apron, Keith attempted to regain the advantage with a bite to Cardona’s forehead before he sent him face-first into the steel steps from the apron.

In the ring, Keith had the advantage with a resthold, followed by a jumping knee to the head of Cardona for a two count. In the corner, we got an exchange of chops between Cardona and Keith, but the Bad Apple regained momentum with a boot to the head. Another kick to the face from Keith kept Cardona reeling, as it sent him out of the ring, which led to a picture-in-picture break.

We returned to Rampage with Keith still in firm control of the action as he bit into Cardona’s ear in the corner. Cardona created some separation with a leg sweep, which allowed him to set up his second wind. With Keith stunned in the corner, Cardona hit his running knee in the corner for a near fall. A missile dropkick from Cardona was answered with a uranage from Keith for the close two-count.

Keith had Cardona set up in the middle of the ring, but he was reversed into a straitjacket slam. Cardona blocked a German suplex attempt from Keith and finished things off with the Silence for the one, two, three.

A good match, all things considered meant to build Cardona up as a credible challenger for Chris Jericho and the ROH World Championship. Job accomplished on that regard.

– A promo for ShopAEW with Harley Cameron singing a funny song about what fans can find on the official online store of All Elite Wrestling aired.

Toni Storm def. Harley Cameron

Like on Dynamite: Winter is Coming, Storm entered with her pre-Timeless entrance music and attire.

Storm offered a handshake to Cameron, but got caught in a side headlock. She responded with a shoulder block, dropkick, and a running boot. Storm worked over Cameron in the corner with the ten-punch combo until she got countered with a strike. Cameron hilariously cued up the picture-in-picture break by saying, “we’ll be right back when this idiot remembers who she is.”

We came back with Storm landing a backbreaker on Cameron, which led to her mounting a comeback. Fisherman Suplex from Storm only got a two count as Cameron regained the advantage with a shining wizard for a near-fall of her own. Storm roared back with a Sky-High powerbomb for a near-fall as she cued up the running hip attack in the corner by briefly going to her Timeless persona. Storm then put an end to this match with Storm Zero for the victory.

This was a great match and showcase for the returning Storm, and the subtle hints of her Timeless persona were quite interesting to see, so it’s clear that there is certainly more to Storm’s return than meets the eye. It’s something I’m wanting to see more of in the coming weeks and months. Meanwhile, Harley Cameron was a great opponent for Storm and she continues to be a highlight whenever she shows up.

**********

Deonna Purrazo def. Shazza McKenzie

Purrazo began by fiercely working over McKenzie in the corner with stomps and chops. A short burst of adrenaline from McKenzie got snuffed out early by a Purrazo clothesline as she found herself trapped in the tree of woe. Spear to the midsection, followed by the powerbomb, and the Fujiwara armbar spelled victory for Purrazo.

Short and sweet match to showcase Purrazo’s dominance, and it’s nice seeing Shazza McKenzie get a look in this one.

**********

– Alex Marvez interviewed Kris Statlander backstage, as he asked Statlander where she’ll go next. Statlander said that she gave credit to Mercedes Mone for being everything that she is, and that all she can do to move forward. She said that she’ll wrestle on Collision and that whoever wins on Dynamite: Holiday Bash this Wednesday between Mone and Anna Jay, that she’d be coming for the TBS Championship once again.

Don Callis Family Interview

Tony Schiavone was in the ring as he introduced the Callis Family: Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher, and Lance Archer ahead of tonight’s main event match. Schiavone started by saying that the crowd’s reaction is a tell-tale sign of what everyone thinks of the Callis Family.

Callis took the microphone and said that his Family is in the “getting over and making money” business, as he praised Archer, Takeshita, and especially Fletcher. He said that there was once a man who thought he was the greatest in the ring, a man by the name of Will Ospreay. Callis said that was before he ran into Kyle Fletcher. He asked Ospreay, “How does it feel, bruv?” Callis then brought up how Fletcher defeated “the best tournament wrestler” in Kazuchika Okada and asked, “How does it feel, bitch?”

Fletcher took the microphone and took in the Kansas City fans’ boos as he said he’d be the winner of the Continental Classic. He then had words for his C2 opponent, Mark Briscoe, stating that nobody would get in the way of his destiny.

Callis declared that his Family were the “one percenters of AEW”, and that nobody was bad enough and big enough to get in the ring with them.

Powerhouse Hobbs & Mark Davis def. Konosuke Takeshita & Lance Archer

Hobbs and Takeshita seemed to start off in the ring, but Archer was tagged into the match as Hobbs wanted a piece of Takeshita. In the ring, Archer and Hobbs, big meaty men that they were, traded meat as Hobbs got the advantage in the corner. Davis entered the match and teed off on Archer with some strikes of his own.

Davis and Hobbs got the advantage with a double team shoulder block on Archer, followed by a double-team standing suplex. Archer managed to kick out at one following that move as he regained the advantage after a well-placed Takeshita kick to the back of Davis, which sent us to our final commercial break of the night.

Rampage returned with Archer working over Davis, who tried to create some separation between him and the Callis Family. Just as Davis was about to tag Hobbs, Archer knocked him off the apron to the loud boos of the crowd. Takeshita tagged himself in and showed an impressive display of power with a suplex on the 285-pound Davis.

Davis knocked Takeshita down and finally got the hot tag on Hobbs, who teed off on Takeshita momentarily. Standing clothesline from Hobbs wasn’t enough to keep Takeshita out, as he is met with a powerful knee strike from Takeshita.

Davis and Archer tagged into the match for their respective teams and began trading strikes until a boot from Archer took Davis down. On the top turnbuckle, Takeshita and Archer had Davis set up for a double superplex, but Hobbs ran in and hit a tower of doom powerbomb on everyone instead.

Hobbs was tagged in as he pulled down the straps as Takeshita hit him with an elbow, which led to an Archer chokeslam for the close two-count. In the corner, Davis pulled out Takeshita from the apron, which led to Hobbs hitting the powerslam on Archer, followed by the Powerhouse Spinebuster to pick up the win in the Rampage main event.

Post-match, Takeshita attempted a cheapshot on Hobbs, but got met with a Powerhouse Spinebuster. Hobbs took the AEW International Championship and raised it over Takeshita as we ended the night on him and Davis standing tall.

Fun little main event with lots of big meaty men slapping meat, and it’s quite clear we’re getting a Hobbs vs. Takeshita International Championship match down the line, and this match did a great job in setting that up for the future.

As the end draws near for Rampage, we’re getting a lot of packed cards, which makes for a fun hour of AEW action. Tonight was no exception. I really enjoyed tonight’s episode as the hour went by like a breeze. Rampage will be missed when its run ends in a couple of weeks.

AEW Rampage live results: Three Continental Classic matches

The Continental Classic continues on tonight’s AEW Rampage with three tournament matches.

In the headliner, current Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada will face Mark Briscoe in the Blue league. Okada has one point as a result of his time limit draw with Daniel Garcia while Briscoe still has 0 points in the tournament.

In another Blue league bout, Garcia will take on The Beast Mortos. Garcia has one point while Beast has yet to get on the scoreboard.

In Gold league action, Ricochet takes on Komander as both wrestlers will try for their first points of the tournament. Komander is an alternate for Juice Robinson who suffered a broken leg in a match on last week’s Collision in a tournament bout against Will Ospreay.

Also announced for tonight’s show, The Vendetta (Deonna Purrazzo & Taya Valkyrie) will be in action.

This week’s Rampage was taped Wednesday night in Fishers, Indiana. Spoilers from the show are available here.

**********

Taped in Fishers, Indiana.

Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Matt Menard & Chris Jerciho were on commentary.

Kazuchika Okada (1-0-1, 4 points) defeated Mark Briscoe (0-2-0, 0 points) in a Blue League Continental Classic Match (13:17)

This is the first one-on-one meeting between Briscoe and Okada, but they have teamed and faced off in tag matches against each other in the past. Briscoe knocked Okada to the floor, the hit a driving dropkick through the middle ropes. Briscoe pounded Okada on the floor until Okada tripped Briscoe headfirst into a steel chair. There was a lot of brawling on the floor for a tournament that is supposed to be mostly clean. Finally, they got back into the ring where Okada maintained control.

Back in the ring, Okada dropped Briscoe with a DDT. Briscoe was bleeding from his forehead. Briscoe tried to come back with punches. Okada shrugged it off and returned fire with forearms and a headbutt that stunned both men.

After a split-screen break, Okada caught Briscoe with a boot. Briscoe blocked a superplex attempt and battered Okada with redneck kung fu! Briscoe hit a flying forearm and followed up with an exploder suplex. Briscoe ran into a boot, but came back with a clothesline and a fisherman’s brainbuster for two.

Okada came back with an inverted neckbreaker, then dropped an elbow off the top rope. Okada gives the Rainmaker Salute 2.0, which allowed Briscoe to hit a rolling death valley driver. Briscoe dropped the Froggie Bow and got a great near fall. Briscoe went for the Jay Driller, but Okada escaped and exchanged cradles with Briscoe until Okada stuffed Briscoe with a tombstone piledriver.

Briscoe ran into Okada’s dropkick. Okada went for the Rainmaker, Briscoe countered with another Jay Driller attempt, which Okada escaped again. Briscoe tried a third time for the Jay Driller, and this time Okada countered with the Rainmaker and got the pin.

Awesome match. Show this to people who think AEW is nothing but flips and dives.

Okada now has 4 points, Kyle Fletcher now has 6 points, and they face off on Collision tomorrow night. If I were a betting man, I’d bet on a draw tomorrow to keep the pressure on Okada.

– Chris Jericho entered the ring to talk trash about Matt Cardona, his challenger for Final Battle at Hammerstein Ballroom on Friday, December 20th. Jericho has a fantastic bejeweled cowboy hat with a “9” to celebrate his 9th World Title reign. Cardona came out to respond and promised to win the ROH title in his backyard. Jericho called Cardona “Zach,” slaps were exchanged and Bryan Keith jumped Cardona to make it a 2-on-1. Jericho whipped Cardona with the ROH title belt, and Keith nailed Cardona with his belt buckle. Jericho was done for the night on commentary after this.

Daniel Garcia (1-0-1, 4 points) defeated The Beast Mortos (0-2-0, 0 points) in a Blue League Continental Classic Match

Garcia beat Mortos in the semi-finals of the Best of PWG tournament back in 2022. Mortos countered a suplex attempt from Garcia and suplexed him to the floor. They fought on the floor, where Garcia pounded Mortos but ran into a stiff lariat. Back in the ring, Mortos hit the pop up Samona Drop to take control.

After a split-screen break (which Mortos mostly dominated), Garcia came back with a suplex. Garcia mauled Mortos with forearms and punches in the corner. Garcia with a delayed back suplex for two. Garica ran into a boot, and Mortos hit a pair of sling blades. A neck twist and a spinning powerslam got Mortos a near fall. Garcia caught Mortos on the top rope with a top rope superplex for another near fall. Mortos came back with a shoulder breaker and spinning lariat for another near fall.

Mortos went for a twisting moonsault off the top, but Garcia dodged it and got a near fall with a cradle. Mortos caught Garcia with a headbutt, but Garcia caught him with a jackknife cradle and got the pinfall. The crowd was really getting behind Mortos towards the end of the match.

Garcia now has 4 points (and a tie for second in the Blue League with Okada) and a match with Mark Briscoe on Collision tomorrow night. Also tomorrow night, Komander faces Darby Allin.

The Vendetta (Deonna Purrazzo & Taya Valkyrie) defeated Ella Elizabeth and Freya States (2:25)

Also on Collision tomorrow night, Mina Shirakawa and Emi Sakura will have a match more interesting than Purrazzo and Valkyrie squashing some enhancement talents. Purrazzo folded up Elizabeth with a powerbomb and the referee immediately went in to check if she was still alive. Purrazzo then finished off Elizabeth with the Fujiwara armbar.

During the main event, Excalibur ran down the card for Dynamite, but I think the only new match announced was Ricochet v. Brody King.

Ricochet (1-1-0, 3 points) vs. Komandor (w/ Alex Abrahanets) (0-1-0, 0 points) in a Gold League Continental Classic Match (12:29)

Abrahantes came out with Komander but went to the back when the match started. Komander is the “first alternate” and will only have four matches to everyone else’s five.

So, lots of flippy stuff to start before the took a pretty long split-screen break. After the break, Ricochet had control of Komander with a surfboard. Komander generated some offense off the ropes and sent Ricochet to the floor with a head scissors. Komander followed Ricochet out with a springboard moonsault. Back in the ring, Komander went for a tornado DDT, but Ricochet countered with a Northern Lights suplex into a brainbuster. Ricochet hit a standing shooting star press for a near fall.

Komander countered a superplex attempt, then hit a springboard hurricanrana for a near fall. The crowd got really loud and was very into this match. Ricochet went for a suplex, but Komander escaped. Ricochet and Komander exchanged strikes, which ended with Komander catching Ricochet with a back heel kick. Komander hit a 450 splash for a near fall.

Komander went to the top again for his top rope walk shooting star press, but Ricochet escaped. Ricochet dropped Komander with a brainbuster on the apron. Ricochet hit a springboard 450 for two. Ricochet hit an axe kick, then a running death valley driver. Ricochet hit the “Spirit Gun” (his not so Hidden Blade) and got the pinfall to pick up his first 3 points in the tournament. The crowd was crazy hot for this match, especially considering how late it had to be into the taping.

Best Rampage ever. I hope they’re building some kind of underdog story for Komander coming into the tournament late.

**********

Collision, taped in Chicago, Illinois.

Tony Schiavone & Nigel McGuinness were on commentary.

Will Ospreay defeated Juice Robinson in a Gold League Continental Classic Match (12:36)

Ospreay got a mega-pop, and Robinson also got a not-too-shabby pop himself, since he hails from nearby Joliet. Robinson blocked a Oscutter early-on, but couldn’t avoid a step-up hurricanrana. Ospreay hung Robinson up in the “tree of woe” then dove at him with a dropkick. Ospreay tried up Robinson in an octopus hold. Juice escaped and went for a senton, but Robinson lifted his knees. Robinson finally go the edge with a clothesline in the corner, then followed up with a cannonball and hangman’s neckbreaker for a near fall.

Robinson hit a crossbody off the top for a near fall. Ospreay fought out of a power bomb attempt. Ospreay went for a hurricanrana, which Robinson was likely supposed to block, but he awkwardly fell instead (and it looked like Ospreay came down on his neck, but that could have just been selling, too). Robinson powered Ospreay up from the mat and into a nasty powerbomb.

After a split-screen break, Ospreay sprung into the ring with a forearm on Juice. Ospreay hit Robinson with a plancha on the floor. Back in the ring, Ospreay caught Robinson with a running boot in the corner. Ospreay ran into a leg lariat from Robinson. Robinson followed up with rights. Ospreay ducked the Left Hand of God and hit a Stundog Millionaire. Robinson avoided another Oscutter and floored Ospreay with a lariat for a near fall. The crowd was really getting behind Juice. Ospreay caught Robinson with a kick and the Styles Clash for a near fall. Ospreay followed up with the Hidden Blade and got the pinfall. Great showing from Juice here.

During the match, it was announced that Ospreay v. Allin would take place on the December 18th Dynamite from D.C.

– Mariah May cut a promo on the set where she attacked Mina Shirakawa last week. May attacked Shirakawa to give Mina everything she ever wanted. Mina v. Mariah for the World Women’s Title is set for December 11th on Dynamite.

Private Party & Místico defeated The MxM Collection & Johnny TV (8:16)

Mansoor standing in the camera shot with a leaf blower to give Johnny the wind blown effect for his entrance was *chef’s kiss.*

Mansoor got double-teamed in the Private Party for a near fall. He got the blind tag to Madden, and Marq Quen got triple-teamed by the heels for the near fall. More triple-teaming from the heels lead to a mid-ring pose from the heels. The heels set up Quen for the most elaborate triple team kick to the posterior I’ve ever seen.

Quen finally got the hot tag to Zay by ducking a double clothesline. Zay went after all three men, catching Madden with a Cutter and dropkicking TV and Mansoor to the floor. Zay followed out with a dive on Johnny, then hit Madden with an Asai Moonsault. Back in the ring, Zay missed a senton on TV for a near fall.

Místico caught Mansoor with a springboard crossbody. Mansoor and TV tossed Zay into a high-angle spinebuster from Madden for a near fall. TV caught Zay with an enziguri and went to the top, but Místico crotched him. Místico caught MxM on the floor with a top rope dive, and Private Party finished off TV with the Gin & Juice. Pretty good, but I was surprised by what a non-factor Místico was.

– Lexi Nair interviewed Anna Jay, who can’t challenge for the AEW World Women’s title anymore (while Mariah is champion, anyway), so she’ll be taking a big swing at someone else instead.

Kyle Fletcher defeated The Beast Mortos in the Blue League of the Continental Classic (9:18 aired)

Don Callis was on commentary for this match. Wait. No seconds are allowed but Callis is allowed to be on commentary? The commentary desk is right at ringside!

Fletcher slammed Mortos and sneered at him. Mortos caught Fletcher with a tijeras. Fletcher countered a monkey flip attempt and sent Mortos to the floor with a forearm.

Fletcher hit a Michinoku Driver for a near fall coming back from the break. Mortos backdropped Fletcher, then hit a Canadian Destroyer, but a DDT instead of a piledriver. Fletcher dropped to the floor, and Mortos followed him out with a tornio. Back in the ring, Fletcher avoided a dive from Mortos, and followed up with a sit-out Last Ride style powerbomb for another near fall. Fletcher followed Mortos into the corner with a boot. He set up Mortos for a superplex, but Mortos headbutted him down. Mortos came off the top with a crucifix driver, then a stiff lariat for another near fall. Fletcher came back with his own lariat, hit another running boot in the corner, and finished off Mortos with a brainbuster. Fletcher got his first 3 points in the tournament.

Fletcher will face Shelton Benjamin in his next Blue League match on Dynamite Wednesday.

– A recap of the feud no one wants to see continue between MJF and Cole’Reily. This led to Lexi Nair interrupting an argument between Kyle O’Reilly and The Kingdom. I guess now the Kingdom wants Kyle to stay out of it while they finish off MJF? It sounds like O’Reilly respects what they want, but isn’t going to do it anyway.

The Outrunners defeated Iron Savages (w/ Jack Jamison) (2:51)

Not only do the Outrunners come out to a 4:3 aspect ratio, but they’ve added tracking errors on the screen. Boulder went to try a springboard something out of the corner, but missed tragically. Truth Magnum then got the “hot tag” (at 1:30) to Turbo Floyd, who bodyslam Bronson. He couldn’t bodyslam big Boulder on the first try, but did on the second. The Outrunner finished off Boulder with some kind of double-team neckbreaker.

After the match, FTR came out to shake hands with the Outrunners.

– Lexi Nair interviewed Max Caster, who challenged Swerve Strickland for Dynamite. Caster talked baldy about Billy Gunn and Anthony Bowens. Caster “gave [them] the week off” after Bowens lost the title match at Full Gear. Caster might make a great heel in the long run but this is absolutely the wrong time for it.

“Hangman” Adam Page defeated  Wheeler Yuta (12:13)

Page was chastised by the referee for trying to take the turnbuckle padding off one of the corner. Page clotheslined Yuta to the floor, then basically F-5’d him into the ring apron face-first. Yuta tried to toss Page back into the ring, but he rebounded off the bottom rope and hit Yuta with a lariat.

Back in the ring, Page hit a belly-to-belly suplex for a near fall. Yuta ducked a springboard lariat and caught Page by clipping his knee. Yuta went to work on Page’s knee.

After a split-screen break, Yuta countered a top rope superplex attempt by hanging up Yuta in the ropes. Page powerbombed Yuta out of the corner. Page booted Yuta to the floor and whipped him around the ring barricades. The crowd started to get behind Page. Back in the ring, Page hit a death valley driver for a near fall.

PAC and Claudio Castagnoli showed up in the crowd, and this distraction led to a near fall for Yuta. Page floored Yuta with a discus lariat. Page set up Yuta for the Buckshot Lariat as Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir showed up behind PAC and Castagnoli. Page went for the Buckshot Lariat, but he hurt his knee when he planted and Yuta went for the Seatbelt. Page countered, maneuvered Yuta into the Dead Eye reverse piledriver, and got the pinfall.

After the match, Page beat on Yuta. He threatened to break his neck with the chair, but Jay White ran out to save Yuta… then White gave Yuta the Blade Runner. White got into Yuta’s face and told him “Tell your king that the real king is coming for his title!”

– Thunder Rosa promoted the Lucha episode of Rampage. Also, watching Mariah May turn on Mira Shirakawa has Rosa interested in getting back into the title picture again. She will be closely watching the title match at Winter is Coming.

– In the back, Adam Page told Christopher Daniels the last thing he needed was advice from an old man like him.

Mina Shirakawa defeated Leila Grey (3:26)

Grey caught Mina with a kick while she was dancing. Grey and Shirawaka exchanged blows. Shirakawa caught Grey with a kick and a running lariat for a near fall. Grey dodged a charge in the corner and caught Mina with a running knee. Mina avoided a pump kick, then caught Grey with a spinning backfist for a near fall. Grey countered a Glamorous Driver with a roll up. Mina caught Grey with a blockbuster off the middle ropes, then finished off Grey with the Glamourous Driver.

– Lexi Nair interviewed Willow Nightingale abut her upcoming International Women’s cup qualifier. Nightingale will face Serena Deeb on Collision next week, and the winner of that match will face Jamie Hayter at Winter is Coming. The winner of that match goes on to the International Women’s Cup on January 5th at the Tokyo Dome.

Kazuchika Okada and Daniel Garcia went to a time limit draw in a Blue League Continental Classic Match (20:00 announced, 18:57 or so aired)

Garica has the classic gold TNT title, not that dirty one Jack Perry was wearing. And again, no seconds are allowed at ringside but there’s Matt Menard, sitting at the commentary desk.

Garcia countered a forearm attempt from Okada with a backslide, which set off Garcia getting a couple of near falls off cradle attempts. Okada faked out Garcia by offering a handshake and Garcia made him pay for it with chops and a shotgun dropkick.

After a split-screen break, Okada missed a slingshot senton. Okada ducked a clothesline and locked Garcia in the Money Clip. That move is as over in AEW as it was in New Japan. Garica fought his way out of the hold and kicked Okada In the corner. Garcia locked in a sleeper on Okada, then hit a running knee strike for a near fall.  Garcia locked in a sharpshooter, but Okada easily made the ropes, the dropped to the floor.

On the floor, Garcia stood over Okada and rained down punches on him, then hit Okada with a running shotgun dropkick. Okada was selling his shoulder, and when referee Aubrey Edwards turned to get medical help, Okada popped up and nailed Garcia with a chair. Okada then DDT’d Garcia on the floor and showed Edwards his shoulder was fine.

After a second commercial break, Okada and Garcia were brawling on the top rope. Garcia superplexed Okada from the top rope for a near fall. Okada caught Garcia with a neckbreaker for a near fall. Okada hit a top rope elbow, then taunted Garcia by mimicking his dance. Garica responded by catching Okada with an ankle lock. Okada escaped by making the ropes, and Garcia followed up with another shotgun dropkick. Okada went for a dropkick, but Garcia blocked it. Garcia went for the sharpshooter again, but Okada countered with a small package attempt. Okada and Garica then knocked each other out with a double clothesline.

Okada made it to his feet first and hit a lariat. Garcia ducked the Rainmaker but Okada hit him with a dropkick. Okada went for the Rainmaker again, but Garcia countered with a cradle and locked in the Sharpshooter! Okada crawled to the ropes, but Garcia pulled him back into the center of the ring and leaned all the way back into the Sharpshooter. But Okada hung on, didn’t tap out and the time limit expired. As a result, both Okada and Garcia will get 1 point each in the standings. This was fine but it was fairly obvious they were wrestling to the draw early on.

After the match, Okada offered Garcia a handshake, but then flipped him off instead.

During this match, PAC v. Jay White was announced for Dynamite Wednesday, and Claudio Castagnoli  v. Will Ospreay and Ricochet v. Brody King were announced for the December 11th Winter is Coming.

Now it’s time for Lucha Libre Rampage!

Taped in Reading, PA.

Excalibur, Matt Menard and Ian Riccaboni were on commentary.

Thunder Rosa defeated  Harley-Gram (5:20)

Harley-Gram reminded me: whatever happened to Fuego Dos? Less than two minutes in, Harley removed her mask to reveal her secret identity was Harley Cameron all along! Rosa caught Cameron with a dropkick. Rosa tied up Cameron in the corner and hit her with a shotgun dropkick. Cameron came back with a Russian leg sweep for a near fall. Cameron put her mask back on, but Rosa yanked it back off while they were brawling on the floor. Back in the ring, Rosa finished off Cameron with the package driver.

– Renee Paquette interviewed Mercedes Mone, who is not here to talk about Camille. She’s here to talk about Lucha Libre and her favorite wrestler, Eddie Guerrero. Mone also wants more championship gold.

Atlantis Jr., Máscara Dorada & Katsuyori Shibata defeated Top Flight & Action Andretti (w/ Leila Grey) (11:56)

Wow. This was all kinds of crazy action. Dorado went for a hurricanrana on Andretti, who handspringed out of the move and landed on his feet. Dorado and Atlantis combined for a double-hiptoss into a sit-out powerbomb on Andretti for a near fall. Darius Martin saved Andretti from a back suplex. Then Andretti hit a flipping senton off to Darius’s shoulders for a near fall. Atlantis turned a hurricanrana from Darius into a sunset flip for a near fall. Atlantis hit a crucifix driver for a near fall. Darius came back with a dropkick.

After a split-screen break, Atlantis caught Darius with a cutter, then got the tag to Shibata. Shibata hit Dante with a boot and forearms, then ran in with a diving shotgun dropkick in the corner. A suplex on Datne got a near fall. Dante went for a sunset flip, but Shibata rolled through and floored Dante with a kick. Dorado hit a Fosbury Flop on Andretti. Back in the ring, Shibata had both members of Top Flight tied up in leglocks. Andretti broke it up, and Darius and Andretti hit superkicks on Shibata. But when Shibata fell backwards, it increased the pressure on Dante’s legs, which were still tied up in a leg lock!

Dorado caught Darius with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Dorado hit a 450 splash off the top for a near fall. Dorado went back to the top, but Dante pulled him to the mat. Andretti dropkicked Dorato into a suplex from Darius, and Dante picked him up for his half nelson slam. Andretti went for a brainbuster on Dorado, but Atlantis broke it up. Andretti caught both his opponents with handspring back elbows. Atlantis and Dorado caught Andretti with kicks, and Dorado finished off Andretti with a shooting star press.

– A recap of the Hook/Patricachy feud. This led to an interview with Nick Wayne and Mother Wayne and the announcement that Hook will face Nick Wayne at the Hammerstein Ballroom (unclear which show). Nick wanted to face Hook in his hometown in a venue that Hook’s father made his name. “I’ll see you at home, Hook… or will I?”

The Beast Mortos defeated Serpentico (5:12 aired)

Nobody mentioned Mortos getting dropped on his head two hours ago by Kyle Fletcher. Mortos crushed Serpentico with a pop-up Samoan Drop for a near fall.

After a commercial break (and talk about a match that shouldn’t have gone through a commercial), Serpentico got a near fall after a La Magistral cradle. Mortos gave Sperpencio a pair of backbreakers, then floored him with a lariat and got the pinfall. Most of this match took place in the picture-in-picture window, but I have no idea why a guy in the prestigious Continental Classic is going 5 minutes with a Dark jobber.

– In the back, someone has laid out Kamille.

– Kyle O’Reilly, Luther Reigns & Brian Cage, Mark Edwards, Komander, Adam Cole are the names announced for the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal. That’s not 12 guys. The winner of the 12 man battle royal gets a shot at MJF and his ring, I would assume at Winter is Coming.

Hechicero defeated Komander (w/ Alex Abrahantes) (13:06)

Hechicero pulled Komander out of the air on a leapfrog attempt, then dropped an elbow on his back. Lots of mat work early on in the match. Hechicero tried to go for a stretch muffler, but Komander climb out of it. Komander went for a tijeras, but Hechicero countered it into  apin attempt. More near misses and reversals from both guys ended with Hechicero getting Komander in trouble against the ropes.

A lot of this match took place in the split-screen window. After the long break, Komander sprung out of the corner with a top rope dropkick. Komander hit a hurricanrana off the top, but Hechicero caught Komander with a sleeper in the ropes. Komander dropkicked Hechicero to the floor. Komander followed him out with a top rope springboard moonsault. Back in the ring, Komander came off the top with a body press, then rolled up Hechicero for two.

Komander hit a spinning DDT. He went for a springboard moonsault, but Hechicero caught him with a armbar. Komander countered the armbar into a pinfall attempt for a near fall. Komander and Hechicero exchanged forearms. Komander countered a suplex attempt with small package. Hechicero caught Komander with a backbreaker and followed up with a charging knee in the corner. Hechicero then brought Komander down with what can best be described as a headscissors driver to get the pinfall.

Final rundown for Dynamite Wednesday: Brody King v. Claudio Castagnoli, Shelton Benjamin v. Kyle Fletcher, Jay White v. PAC, Swerve Strickland v. Max Caster, and the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal.

This was a fine three out block of professional wrestling.

AEW Rampage live results: Big Boom AJ and QT Marshall weigh-in

A weigh-in for the Full Gear Zero Hour matchup between Big Boom AJ and QT Marshall takes place on tonight’s AEW Rampage.

Before they meet on Saturday’s pay-per-view pre-show, Big Boom AJ of viral sensation The Costco Guys and stalwart QT Marshall will weigh in for their bout on tonight’s episode.

A trios match is also on tap for tonight’s episode, with The Dark Order’s Alex Reynolds, John Silver, and Evil Uno taking on The Conglomeration’s Mark Briscoe, Rocky Romero, and Tomohiro Ishii in six-man tag team action.

Mina Shirakawa teams with AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May against former Women’s Champion Nyla Rose and Harley Cameron.

The Bang Bang Gang’s Juice Robinson will go one-on-one with The Butcher in the other match set for tonight’s Rampage.

This week’s Rampage was taped Wednesday night, November 20 at Santander Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania alongside next week’s episode. Spoilers from the taping are available here.

**********

Taped in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Excalibur, Matt Menard & Ian Riccaboni were on commentary.

Mina Shirakawa & Mariah May defeated Nyla Rose & Harley Cameron (8:36)

Rose and Cameron don’t even get an entrance. Rose and Shirakawa teased us with a test of strength. Rose dominated Shirakawa with body slams. Cameron tagged herself in to the match, and Shirakawa took her down with a Russian Leg Sweep for a near fall. May came in with a spinning side slam and got another near fall. Shirawaka and May double-teamed Cameron with a double shotgun dropkick. Rose tried to attack, but Mina and May dumped her to the floor.

Back in the ring after a split-screen break, Rose hit May with a rolling neck snap. The crowd chanted “We Want Mina!” while Rose got the heat on May. Cameron hit a knee strike on May for a near fall. May countered an attempted Soul Food with a headbutt, and got the tag to Mina.

Shirakawa took down Cameron with a flying clothesline. Mina caught May in the corner with a kick, but Rose broke up the pinfall attempt. Mina tried for a figure-four on Rose, but Cameron interfered and Mina hit her with a DDT while Rose’s legs were all twisted up. May dropkicked Rose out of the ring. Cameron got a near fall off a cradle, but May hit her with knee strike. May and Shirawaka hit a double-team top rope bulldog (think the old Steiner Brothers move, if you’re old enough to remember that) on Cameron and got the pinfall.

– Lexi Nair hosted the official weigh in between QT Marshall and “Big Boom AJ,” accompanied by Big Justice. They actully have big banners with pictures of Marshall and Big Boom AJ in the ring, so I guess that WBD money isn’t going to waste. The crowd popped for something or someone called “The Rizzler.” I have no idea about any of this because the only things I follow on social media are cooking recipes. Marshall weighed in at 229 pounds (103.9 kilograms), which was displayed on the big screen. AJ weighed in at 550 pounds(249.5 kilograms). AJ is not a super-heavyweight, so either Paul Wight was running the scale in the back or there were some shenanigans. Big Justice (who is actually a child) got in Marshall’s face about rigging the scale. This lead to Marshall hitting AJ with a cutter to end the segment. I hope this stuff is creating fans out of whoever it’s supposed to appeal to.

Juice Robinson defeated The Butcher (9:02 aired)

The fight went to the floor and Butcher dropped Robinson back-first on the ring barricade.

Most of the match took place in the split-screen window. After a commercial, Robinson hit Butcher with a leg lariat. Butcher ducked the Left Hand of God, but hit with a DDT and a senton. Butcher countered a splash in the corner and hit Robinson with a lariat for a near fall. Robinson tripped up Butcher in the corner and hit a cannonball. Butcher ducked another left hand and hit a backbrearker and a modified jackhammer for a near fall. Butcher called for a brainbuster, but Robinson escaped and finally hit the Left Hand of God. Robinson hit is front-falling DDT for the pinfall. This felt slow at times.

– Lexi Nair announced with Thunder Rosa an “all Lucha” episode of Rampage. Thunder Rosa made an open challenge for any luchadora. The challenge was immediately answered by “Harley-Gram” the counterpart to “Hologram” who looked suspiciously liked Harley Cameron in a green hood.

– A hype package for Ricochet and Konsuke Takeshita for Full Gear tomorrow night.

Rocky Romero, Tomohiro Ishii & Mark Briscoe defeated Alex Reynolds, Evil Uno & John Silver (11:41)

Silver and Briscoe started off with a “kung fu” standoff, until Uno jumped Briscoe to allow the heels to get the advantage. Uno needs a better look; the ill-fitting dress pants, shirt and tie and mask aren’t working for him. After Uno got in trouble in the Conglomeration corner, Romero hit Uno with the forever clotheslines until Alex Reynolds broke that up. Uno hit a flatliner on Romero and the Dark Order took control.

After a long split-screen break during which Romero was taking all the heat from the Dark Order, Briscoe got the hot tag. He fought all three mebers of the Dark Order. Briscoe hit an exploder on Uno for a near fall. Uno hit Briscoe with a piledriver for a near fall. The Dark ORder set up Briscoe for a Pendellum Bomb, but Briscoe escaped and got the tag to Ishii. Ishii and Silver exchanged chops and kicks. Silver hit Ishii with a German suplex, but Ishii came right back with a clothesline. Romero took Reynods down on the floor with a hurricanrana, and Briscoe hit his springboard plnacha on Reynolds and Uno. Back in the ring, Ishii hit a brainbuster on Reynolds and got the pinfall.

– The show ended with the tremendous “November Rain” hype video for Full Gear.

AEW Rampage live results: Ricochet vs. Dante Martin

Two high-flying standouts square off in the featured match on this week’s AEW Rampage.

Ricochet will face Dante Martin on tonight’s show as he continues to climb the ranks on his way to an International title shot at Konosuke Takeshita. Dante and brother Darius were unsuccessful as a tag team as part of the four-way Full Gear contender’s series, losing to The Outrunners their last time out as a duo.

Former ROH Champion Mark Briscoe will face Ari Daivari in singles competition on the program, while Komander will take on Rocky Romero in another one-on-one contest.

Former AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida will take on Top Flight’s Flight Attendant Leila Grey.

LFI’s Rush & The Beast Mortos will team up against former MLW regular Richard Holliday and Alec Price in the show’s lone tag team matchup.

Tonight’s AEW Rampage episode was taped Wednesday night, November 13 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Spoilers from the show are available here.

**********

Taped in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Matt Menard, Tony Schiavone & Excalibur were on commentary.

Hikaru Shida defeated Leila Grey

Shida got a near fall after a dropkick off the middle rope. Grey blocked a kicked and rolled up Shida for a near fall. Shida hit the Falcon Arrow and got the pinfall.

– Renee Paquette interviewed Harley Cameron, who played a guitar and sang a song about a little girl, “not a child because that would be weird, but someone who is small in stature” until she ran out of time. Honestly the whole show should be just Paquette interviewing Cameron until it gets cancelled. The ratings would improve.

Mark Briscoe vs. Ari Daivari (w/ Mark Sterling)

Briscoe hit a suplex for a near fall. He followed up with some redneck kung fu. On the floor, Briscoe tossed Daivari into the ringside barricade and the brawled around ringside. Sterling broke up Briscoe’s attempt at using a chair for a springboard, and this distracted giave Daivari the opportunity to take control.

Sterling distracted Briscoe when he went to the top, and Daivari caught Briscoe with a sleeper. A short-arm lariat followed up with a hammerlock DDT got Daivari a near fall. Briscoe mounted his comeback with more redneck kung fu and a series of forearms. Briscoe hit a fisherman’s buster for two. Daivari blocked a Jay Driller and hit a superkick. Daivari charged into a Death Valley Driver and Briscoe went to the top, but Daivari crotched him. Daivari then tried for a Jay Driller, but Briscoe escaped. Sterling distracted Briscoe, so Rocky Romero ran interference and took out Sterling. Romero tossed Briscoe the chair, and Briscoe hit his launchpad plancha onto Sterling and Daivari, then dropped the Froggy Bow for the pinfall. This went far too long for what it was, but was fine.

Komander (w/ Alex Abrahantes) v. Rocky Romero

MVP was shown watching the match in the back. After some even lucha exchanges, Romero started to overpower Komander. Romero delivered a superplex and both guys were down.

Komander hit a walking-the-ropes springboard moonsault coming out of a commerical. After a series of reversals and counters, Komander hit a springboard dropkick off the middle rope. Romero kicked Komander in the face when he went for a moonsault. Romero hit a running sliced bread for a near fall. Komander rammed Romero in the corner with a running powerslam. Komander walked the top rope and hit a shooting star press for the pinfall. I thought Rocky was winning this, but then remembered that Komander has a bigger match tomorrow night on Collision with Shelton Benjamin.

– Lexi Nair’s interview with Anna Jay was interruped by Taya Valkyrie. Valkyrie offered Jay some insurnace for her no-dq Women’s World Title match, but Jay would have none of it.

Rush & The Beast Mortos (w/ Dralistico) defeated Richard Holliday & Alec Price

Mortos destroyed Price with a powerslam and a pop-up Samoan Drop. Rush tagged in and Holiday held his own with Rush for about 12 seconds. Rush tossed him to the floor and bounced his head off the ring barricade. Rush brutalized the poor job guy. Back in the ring, Rush hit the running shotgun dropkick in the corner and got the pinfall.

– Lexi Nair asked MVP if he was scouting talent in AEW. MVP thinks some talent in AEW needs motivation and better management, while others are arrognat talent that needs to be beaten down. Guess what kind of talent Swerve Strickland is? MVP also had kind things to say about Komander and Ricochet.

– Hype package for Anna Jay v. Mariah May for Collision tomorrow night.

Ricochet defeated Dante Martin

Richochet kept Martin from getting to the rope to break a wrist lock, so Dante countered by flipping out of it. Dante went for a sunset flip, but Ricochet countered it somehow with his own sunset flip. Ricochet snapped off a mean looking dropkick. The fight went to the floor, where both guys avoided moonsaults. Back in the ring, more creative avoidance of each other’s offense ended with Ricochet hitting a gamengiri and a springboard clothesline.

After a long split-screen break, Martin went for a double-jump springboard moonsault but it was more like a carthwheel into a a knee to Ricochet’s head. Martin hit a springboard frog splash for a near fall. Ricochet hit a Northern Lights suplex and rolled right out of that and into a brainbuster. A standing shooting star press got Ricochet a near fall. Martin tried a springboard into a bulldog, but Ricochet turned that into a Blue Thunder Bomb for another near fall.

Martin countered a Vertigo attempt with a cradle, but Ricochet dropped him with a backdrop suplex. Ricochet hit a sliding elbow strike and got the pinfall.

After the match, Ricochet helped Martin to his feet and they showed each other respect after a good match.

AEW Rampage live results: Lio Rush vs. Komander II

A rematch from last week’s AEW Rampage is the featured bout on this week’s edition as Lio Rush faces Komander.

Komander won the match last week as Rush looks to even the score tonight.

In a three-way tag team contest, Mike Bennett & Matt Taven of The Undisputed Kingdom take on John Silver & Alex Reynolds of The Dark Order, plus The Infantry’s Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo who recently aligned with Shane Taylor Promotions.

Former AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida will face Viva Van. This is Shida’s first appearance since September while Van remains winless in 13 AEW matches.

Top Flight (Dante Martin & Darius Martin) will team against JD Drake & Beef. Top Flight will also be in action on Saturday’s Collision against The Outrunners in a Full Gear four-way contenders series matchup.

This week’s Rampage episode was taped this past Wednesday in Manchester, New Hampshire. Spoilers from the show are available here.

**********

Taped in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Tony Schivaone, Excalibur & Matt Menard were on commentary.

Hikaru Shida defeated Viva Van (5:20)

This match feeks like it should be the six minute match in the middle of the show where four minutes are wrestled during the picture-in-picture break. It’s started out like they were wrestling in quicksand. Shida hit a dropkick off the middle rope and got a reaction from the crowd. Shida got a running knee strike for a near fall. She went for a katana kick, but Van avoided it. Van tried a crossbody off the top, but  Shida rolled through for a near fall. Van set up what looked like an attempt at a One Wing Angle, but Shida countered that into a cradle for a near fall. Shida caught Van with a hook kick, then dumped Van with a Falcon Arrow to get a pinfall.

– Renee Paquette interviewed Harley Cameron, who recapped her year. Before she could say what her plans will be going forward, Paquette had to end the interview because they were out of time.

Undisputed Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) defeated Dark Order (John Silver & Alex Reynolds) and The Infantry (Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo) (w/ Shane Taylor, Lee Moriarty and Trish Adora) in a three-way (9:31)

The Undisputed Kingdom got a babyface pop. Reynolds was sporting the DDP Memorial rib tape. Reynolds hurt himself delivering a splash on Charlie Bravo. Taven got a tag and caught Bravo with a dropkick. Dean caught Bennett with a cutter against the ring apron, and the Infantry beat on Bennett around ringside.

Ater a split-screen break, The Infantry continued to double-team Bennett in their corner. Bennett caught Bravo with a spinebuster, then tagged in John Silver. Silver suplexed Dean and delivered a straight jacket back stabber. Taven got the hot tag and took out both members of the Dark Order. Taven hit everyone but Silver with a moonsault off the middle rope to the floor. Taven went to the top, but Dean pushed him to the mat.

Dean buried a knee into Reynolds’ injured ribs. Reynolds went for a rolling elbow strike on Taven, but fell victim to a pop up uppercut. Taven and Bennett finished Reynolds off with a powerbomb/cutter combo to get the pinfall.

After the match, Brian Cage came down the aisle to taunt the Undisputed Kingdom, which allowed his partner Lance Archer to blindside Bennett and Taven. Cage and Archer left the Undisputed Kingdom lying.

– Lexi Nair interviewed Roderick Strong about how his buddies were getting beaten in the ring, but Jake Roberts interrupted. Roberts told Strong to leave The Beast Mortos alone, and this leads to a match between Mortos and Roderick Strong on Collision tomorrow night.

– During the last match, it was announced that Dr. Britt Baker will be on Dynamite this week.

– Another vignette for Deonna Purrazzo & Tyra Valkyrie, “The Vendetta.”

Top Flight (w/ Leila Grey and Action Andretti) defeated  JD Drake & Beef (7:13 aired)

I thought Drake and Beef were babyfaces? Anyway, Private Party were scouting potential future challengers by watching this match backstage.

Drake and Beef double-teamed Darius during the split-screen break. After the break, Dante got the hot tag and flew around attacking Drake, hitting him with a springboard senton and a flying splash for a near fall. Drake spun Dante around with a lariat for a near fall. Beef splashed Dante into the ropes, and Drake pput Dante down with a spinebuster. Darius broke up an attempt at a top rope splash from Beef, and took out Drake with a spinning DDT on the floor. Darius and Dante caught Beef with a double-team DDT to get the pinfall.

After the match, the Top Flight and Drake and Beef respected the Code of Honor and shook hands after the match.

Lio Rush defeated  Komander (w/ Alex Abrahantes) (12:08)

Now that Komander doesn’t have a bigger match on the horizon, it was time for Rush to get his win back. This match started with a hand shake. Lots of face-paced mat work to start. Rush blocked a cazadora and turned it into an arm drag. Komander offered Rush a handshake again, and this was meant with a punch and forearms. Rush caught Komander from behind with a lariat to the back of the head.  Rush hit a backdrop suplex for a near fall. Komander rolled to the floor. Rush followed him out and hit a Asai Moonsault, springing off the bottom rope.

Komander hit a standing moonsault. He hit Rush with an enziguri. Rush rolled to the ring apron. Komander went for a back stabber on the ring apron, but Rush blocked it. Rush hit Komander with a tope suicida. Back in the ring, Rush hit a blue thunder bomb for a near fall. Rush went to the top, but Komander rolled out of the way. Komander went for an Alabama Slam, but Rush countered it with an F5 for a near fall. Rush missed a dive off the top and Komander suplexed him into the corner.

Komander hit a top rope moonsault for two. Rush dodged a shooting star press, and Rush caught Komander with an enziguri and a bottom rope springboard stunner. Rush came off the top with the frog splash and got the pinfall. Excalibur teased a rubber match.

Opening with basically a squash really set a down tone for the show.

AEW Rampage live results: Lio Rush vs. Komander

Five matches are set for tonight’s AEW Rampage from Cleveland, Ohio.

Lio Rush will face Komander in a match showcasing two of the great high-flyers in the industry. Rush is looking to snap a five-match losing streak in AEW while Komander has lost 13 straight in AEW dating back to July 2023.

La Faccion Ingobernable (Rush, Dralistico & The Beast Mortos) will face The Butcher, JD Drake & Beef while in another trios bout, Dark Order (Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds & John Silver) will face Top Flight (Darius & Dante Martin) and Action Andretti. Both Dark Order and Top Flight/Andretti have been feuding with the Blackpool Combat Club as of late.

Top Flight’s Leila Grey will take on Queen Aminata in a battle of two up-and-coming stars in the women’s division while Taya Valkyrie will also be in action, flanked by new running mate Deonna Purrazzo.

This week’s show was taped Wednesday following Fright Night Dynamite. Spoilers from the show are available here.

LFI (Rush, Dralistico & The Beast Mortos) vs.  The Butcher, JD Drake & Beef (9:20)

Everyone was in the ring brawling before the credits from Thor had finished rolling. This match actually stemmed from the Beef match last week, where LFI laid out Beef and Drake. Rush and Butcher exchanged forearms in the ring before a rolling elbow took Butcher down and out in the LFI corner. Drake flopped into Mortos with a knee strike off the middle rope and chopped him in the corner. Somehow, Mortos got Drake up for a pop up Samoan Drop for a near fall. Drake got dumped the floor, and Rush sent him into the ring barricade.

Back in the ring, Rush chopped Drake in the corner. Rush splashed Drake in the corner, and Dralistico hit a superkick. Rush set up Drake for the diving corner dropkick with his partners disposed and could have just ended the match, but he did that dumb spot where he just stopped and gave him a love tap instead. Because I guess all Rampage openers just have to run through a commercial.

After a split-screen break, Drake caught Rush with the spinebuster and got the tag to Beef. Beef was the proverbial house of fire, until he ran into a chop from Rush. Beef actually staggered Rush with a series of right hands (with the crowd chanting “Beef!” with each shot). Beef then took him out of the corner with the bulldog. Beef went up to the top for a splash, but Dralistico crotched him. Mortos clipped Butcher’s knee, Dralistico hit a springboard lung blower on Butcher, Mortos followed up with a cannonball, and finall Rush finished him off with the Bull’s Horns diving dropkick in the corner.

The crowd is into Beef so just push him already.

– Renee Paquette asked Stokely Hathaway if he had a hand in Private Party winning the World Tag Team titles on Wednesday, and of course he takes credit. He called himself the “Architect of Champions.”

Taya Valkyrie (w/ Deonna Purrazzo) defeated  Zoey Lynn (0:54)

Valkyrie by locking her opponent in a surfboard, then stomping her face into the mat.  I like Purrazzo, but Valkyrie does nothing for me.

After the match, Renee tried to interview Valkyrie and Purrazzo. But Hathaway stirred the point and told Valkyrie that Lynn was talking trash about them before the match. So Valkyrie ran out and attacked Lynn, giving Lynn her finish on the floor.

– A promo for the Thunder Rosa/Harley Cameron match tomorrow from Collision in Philadelphia.

Queen Aminata defeated  Leila Grey (5:35)

So there was a spot where Aminiata was supposed to get a suplex out of a side headlock, but Grey tried to countered with a small package. When Aminata kicked out, it looked like Grey’s hair got caught on Aminata’s outfit and came off (they cut to a wide shot). I had to watch this a couple of times to figured out what happened. They cut away from Grey and I think she dumped her wig on the floor. Then they spent another minute working the headlock to set it up Aminata hitting the suplex a second time.

Grey went for a butterfly suplex, but Aminata transitioned into an Air Raid Crash for a near fall. Aminata tied up Grey’s arms from behind with her legs, then transitioned out of that into a Dragon Sleeper and a body scissors at the same time. Aminata hit a second snap suplex, and Grey looked seriously winded. But Grey got out of the way of an attack on the corner and hit a bulldog for a near fall. Grey hit a blockbuster out of the corner for a near fall. Grey laid in some forearm shots, but Aminata cut her off with an axehandle. Aminata then tied up Grey with something that looked like it was out of Zach Sabre’s playbook, and Grey tapped out. I thought this was pretty clunky at first, but actually they held it together really well considering how the match started.

Top Flight (Darius and Dante Martin) & Action Andretti vs.  Dark Order (Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds & John Silver) (7:31 aired)

Both sides of this match are standing tall against the Moxley World Order, so it doesn’t make much sense that they’re fighting. Reynolds ribs are taped up, and after a shoulder tackle he had to tag out because of how bad he was hurting. Dante countered a back suplex attempt from Uno into a DDT. Uno went to the floor, and Andretti hit him with an Arabian Press.

After a commercial, Andretti hit Silver with a Falcon Arrow. Darius kicked Silver into a neckbreaker from Andretti for a near fall. Uno saved Silver from a double suplex, then hit Something Evil on Darius for a near fall. Silver and Reynolds hit the Wombo Combo on Darius. The Dark Order tried to set up Darius for a pendulum bomb, but Reynolds’ couldn’t hold him up due to his ribs. Andretti dove in off the top with a high cross to take out Silver and Uno. Andretti went after Reynold’s rib tape, but Dante wouldn’t let him. Uno took out Dante, and Andretti got the rib tape off Reynolds. Andretti then sent Reynolds into the ringpost ribs first. Andretti finished Reynolds off with a split-legged moonsault. After the match, Top Flight shook hands with The Dark Order, and eventually Andretti shook hands with the Dark Order as well.

Komander (w/ Alex Abrahantes) defeated Lio Rush (11:55)

Komander dropkicked the taste out of Rush’s mouth. Komander went for a springboard, but Rush avoided it. Rush sent Komader to the floor with a handspring into a kick, then hit a plancha on the floor.

Komander and Rush wrestled through a four minute split-screen break. After the break, Rush missed a frog splash off the top and caught a back elbow. Komander hit a springboard crossbody off the middle rope. Komander did some fancy rope-walking and hit a superkick. Komader hit a top rope moonsault for a near fall.

Rush caught Komander with a stunner. Rush locked in a cravat, then hit another stunner. Komander countered a suplex attempt, but Rush blocked a hurricanrana attempt with a powerbomb. Rush hit a Falcon Arrow for two. Rush walked into an up kick from Komander on the apron. Komander hit Rush with a backstabber on the apron. Back in the ring, Rush hit a springboard stunner off the bottom rope.

Rush went to the top and missed a frog splash. Komander caught him with a crucifix for two. Komander hit a superkick. Komander walked the ropes and hit a shooting star press to get the pinfall. Not as good as I thought it would be.

Going in, I thought Rush was going to win this, but Komander has a big match tomorrow night against Kyle Fletcher.

After the match, Rush and Komander shook hands. But Top Flight and Andretti met Lio Rush in the aisle. Andretti looked intense and he gave Rush Alex Reynold’s rib tape.

AEW Rampage live results: Ricochet vs. Nick Wayne

Four matches will highlight Friday’s AEW Rampage from Salt Lake City, Utah.

In the featured contest, Ricochet will go one-on-one with The Patriarchy’s Nick Wayne. The bout is a tune-up for Ricochet who is also in action on tomorrow’s AEW Collision against Lio Rush.

In a three-way tag team match, the Undisputed Kingdom’s Mike Bennett & Matt Taven will take on the Gates of Agony (Toa Liona & Bishop Kaun) in addition to the Shane Taylor Promotions duo of Taylor & Lee Moriarty.

The next contender for Mariah May’s AEW Women’s World Championship will be in action as Anna Jay faces Leila Grey. Jay earned a title shot on last weekend’s Battle of the Belts event by pinning May.

The Beast Mortos vs. Beef in a hoss battle rounds out the card.

This week’s Rampage was taped Wednesday night, October 23 in Salt Lake City, Utah at Maverik Center. Spoilers from the show are available here.

Taped in Salt Lake City, Utah, home to the world’s largest Costco.

Excalibur, Tony Schiavone & Matt Menard were on commentary.

Undisputed Kingdom defeated Shane Taylor Promotions and  Gates of Agony in a three way match (8:54)

Roderick Strong joined the commentary team for the opener.

Matt Taven and Lee Morairty had a good sequence on the mat to start that was punctuated by a dropkick from Taven. Bishop Kaun got the tag and overpowered both members of the Kingdom.  Kaun floored Taven with a lariat and followed up with a standing moonsault for a near fall. The Gates of Agony double teamed Taven in their corner. Taven side stepped a charge from Kaun, hit Toa Leona with an enziguri, and got the tag to Bennett. Bennett superkicked Leona into a tag from Shane Taylor, and Taylor took Bennett down with a hanging tree slam for a near fall. Bennett fired back with chops on Taylor, but Taylor floored him with a lariat. Bennett and Moriarty ganged up on Bennett in their corner.

Taylor and Moriarty worked over Bennett during the split-screen break. Taven got the tag and took out all four of his opponents. Taven hit Moriarty with a Stinger Splash, then sent Moriarty into a death valley driver from Bennett. Taven followed through with a sliding knee strike for a near fall. Taylor floored Taven with a knee strike, and Kaun took Taylor down with a Samoan Drop. Leona gave both Moriarty and Bennett a Samoan Drop at once. Kaun and Leona gave Moriarty a double-team slam. The Gates of Agony got dumped to the floor and Taven dove in with an elbow on Moriarty to get a pinfall.

– Renee Paquette interviewed Beef about Anthony Henry, his second cousin by marriage, his reluctant corner man who is injured. JD Drake showed up to promise to be in Beef’s corner tonight. There is some kind of ROH angle (I guess?) between Henry, Drake and Beef but I have no idea about that so this whole thing felt out of place.

– Paquette brought the Undisputed Era and The Beast Mortos together for Strong to try and recruit Mortos for the Undisputed Era.

Anna Jay defeated  Leila Grey (3:12)

Jay started out with some solid stuff on the mat. Grey came back with a sloppy blockbuster and a slight better bulldog. Jay did some okay selling here. Jay reversed Grey’s suplex attempt. Jay caught Grey with a flying forearm. Jay pulled Grey off the middle ropes with a cross arm slam, hit a shotgun dropkick. Jay hit the Gory bomb for the pinfall. Jay is wrestling with a lot more confidence.

After the match, Deonna Purrazzo and Tyra Valkyrie were shown watching from the back.

Jay White v. Shane Taylor & Anna Jay v. Viva Van were announced for  Collision tomorrow night.

– A recap of Dynamite.

The Beast Mortos (w/ Rush  and Dralistico)  defeated  Beef (w/ JD Drake) (8:27 aired)

Mortos dropped Beef with a back suplex. Mortos hit a knee strike for a near fall. Beef rolled out of the way of a senton. Both guys fought for a suplex until Mortos dropped  Beef with a headbutt.

After a commercial break, Beef escaped a back suplex and caught Mortos with a crossbody. Beef took Mortos down with a bulldog for a near fall. Mortos hit a pop up fallaway slam for a near fall. Mortos came off the top with a twisting senton for another near fall. Beef caught Mortos with an enziguri. Beef followed up with a crossbody into the ropes. Beef went to the top for his finish, but Rush tripped him up.  Mortos dropped Beef with a piledriver variation and got the pinfall.

After the match, LFI beat up Beef and choked him with an extension cord. JD Drake watched from the outside. Rush jumped Drake from the outside and choked him out, too.

– Renee Paquette interviewed Harley Cameron. Cameron was her fantastically charming self, promising that whatever Thunder Rosa can do, she can… also do.

– Fright Night Dynamite preview.

Ricochet defeated Nick Wayne (13:14)

Lots of stalling to start. When they finally engaged, Ricochet worked a side headlock for a couple of near falls. Ricochet took Wayne down with a head scissors and a dropkick. Wayne avoided a moonsault off the apron on the floor. A distraction from Mother Wayne allowed Nick to catch Ricochet with a boot. Nick then dumped Ricochet into the crowd.

After a split-screen break, Ricochet started to mount his comeback. Ricochet hit a gamengiri, then took Wayne down with a twisting tope on the floor. Back in the ring, Ricochet hit a springboard crossbody and a standing shooting star press for a near fall.

Ricochet went to the top, but Mother Wayne distracted him and Nick Wayne raked his eyes. Ricochet sent Wayne down with a headbutt. Ricochet missed a 450 (landed on his feet), but Wayne caught Ricochet with a stunner for a near fall. Wayne hit a full nelson suplex with a bridge for a near fall. Wayne went for Wayne’s World, but Ricochet blocked it. Ricochet hit a high kick and a deadlift German suplex for a near fall. Ricochet and Wayne exchanged kicks. Ricochet hit a half and half suplex. Ricochet dove into a cutter, and Wayne nailed a double underhook destroyer for a near fall.

Wayne set Ricochet up again for the Wayne’s World, but Ricochet avoided it and floored Wayne with a knee. Ricochet delivered a Vertigo driver, then finished Wayne off with his own version of the Hidden Blade for the pinfall. That was tremendous.

After the match, Kenosuke Takeshita came out to the entrance stage to taunt Ricochet with his International Title belt.

During the main event, Ricochet v. Lio Rush and The Outrunners vs. MxM Collection were also announced for Collision.

AEW Rampage live results: Mark Briscoe vs. The Butcher

Four matches are set for tonight’s AEW Rampage from San Jose, California, including Mark Briscoe vs. The Butcher.

Briscoe, the Ring of Honor World Champion, squares off with The Butcher in a non-title affair with his Ladder War title defense against Chris Jericho set for next week’s AEW Dynamite.

Before she gets a crack at AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May in a World title eliminator on tomorrow’s Battle of the Belts XIl, Anna Jay faces Trish Adora of The Infantry.

Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen) will attempt to move on from their feud with The Elite as they take on MxM Collection. The Young Bucks defended their AEW Tag Team titles against Private Party at WrestleDream and rebuffed their attempt at a rematch.

Kyle O’Reilly will be in action against Aaron Solo as the former continues his attempt to get a shot at AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada.

**********

Taped in San Jose, California.

Excalibur, Tony Schiavone & Matt Menard were on commentary.

Mark Briscoe defeated The Butcher (9:55)

This isn’t advertised as an eliminator match or anything like that. Briscoe took Burther out with a somersault plancha, then battered him with chopes against the ring barricade. Back in the ring, Briscoe hit a middle rope dropkick. Briscoe locked in, then hit some redneck kung and this match is playing like a squash for Briscoe. Butcher finally got some offense going with a counter to the Jay Driller and a lariat for a near fall. Butcher hit a release suplex and legdrop for a near fall.

Butcher got some more offense during a split-screen break. After the break, The Butcher locked in a chinlock. Briscoe broke free and hit a running forearm, then countered a half nelson attempt with a gamin giri. After a bit more back and forth, Butcher delivered a jack hammer for a near fall.

Butcher set up Briscoe for a superplex. Briscoe escaped with redneck kung fu, then delivered the Froggie Bow to get the pinfall.

Oh man, what is Butcher even going to do when Rampage is canceled? Maybe we can start a petition to get AEW Dark back on YouTube.

Kyle O’Reilly (w/ Orange Cassidy) defeated  Aaron Solo (4:29)

Since he’s from the Bay Area he tried to endear himself to the local fans with a picture of The Golden Gate bridge on his tights. O’Reilly worked over Solo with body shots, knees and kicks. Solo caught O’Reilly with an exploder suplex for a one count. He tried an overhead armbar. O’Reilly went 50/50 with a jobber who is barely on TV. I hope he doesn’t have a title match with a protected champion on TV anytime soon, cause I can’t believe anyone would buy him as a contender. He caught Solo with a guillotine choke out of nowhere and got him to tap out.

After the match, O’Reilly challenged Kazuchika Okada to a title match on Battle of the Belts 12 tomorrow night. Oh man there have been twelve of those things? That match was made official later in the show.

– Renee Paquette interviewed Jamie Hayter, fresh off of raiding Austin Powers’ closest. Hayter threw out a challenge to Penelope Ford to show up at Collision tomorrow night.

– Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie cut a promo continuing… whatever it is they’re doing. It was another promo with vague mafia undertones, I guess?

– Mariah May joined the commentary team to class things up a bit.

Anna Jay defeated  Trish Adora (w/ The Infantry) (7:13 aired)

This is a warm up for Jay, who has a title eliminator match with May tomorrow night on Battle of the Belts. The Infantry disappeared from ringside faster than they did from the tag team scene after they got that “big win” over the House of Black last spring.

May was fantastic on commentary. Jay hit Adora with her butt and delivered a snap suplex. Jay and Adora exchanged forearms, then took Adora down with a shoulder tackle and blew May a kiss. Jay hit a short dropkick and continued to taunt May. “Maybe she learned that on her two week holiday in Japan?”

After a long commercial, Jay hit a flying forearm. May continued killing it on commentary. “Yes, I’m on Battle of the Belts. Also known as ‘Tony Schiavone, trying to get dressed.’” We don’t deserve May’s commentary. Adora delivered a german suplex with a bridge from her knees for a near fall. Adora hit a vertical suplex with a bridge for another near fall. Jay caught Adora with a backstabber, then nailed a gory bomb to get the pinfall. May looked grumpy at the result. Anna Jay really is much improved after her Japan tour.

After the match, May taunted Jay over the house mic. This match actually got me interested in Battle of the Belts!

– Renee Paquette interviewed Harley Cameron about the Saraya, who is “in the capacitation.” Cameron will face Kris Statlander on Collision tomorrow night.

– After the match, a commercial aired plugging upcoming dates and matches for Dynamite and Collision. Then back from break, the Undisputed Kingdom, Shane Taylor Promotions, and the Gates of Agony all cut quick promos plugging the main event of next week’s Rampage, a three way tag match. AEW… advertising matches ahead of time?

Private Party defeated  MxM Collection (12:06)

It sounded like the MxM Collection got a big reaction. Rico (who appeared on Zero Hour Saturday night) is “not cosmetically cleared” for tonight, according to Menard.

Mason Madden is huge compared to everyone else in the ring. Private Party did pretty good early on until Quen went to the top rope, and Mansoor pushed him to the floor.

After a break, Madden suplex Quen into a powerbomb/neckbreaker combo with Mansoor for a near fall. Great move. Mansoor locked in a full nelson, but Quen dropped down and cradled Mansoor for a near fall. Quen finally go the hot tag to Zay, who took out Madden with a springing cutter. He took Madden down with a spinning flatliner on the floor, then sprung into the ring and hit Mansoor with a crossbody for two.

Mansoor countered the Silly String with a death valley driver in the corner for a near fall. Mansoor caught Quen with a kick while Mansoor delivered a spinebuster. MxM tried to set up Kassidy for their finisher, but Quen broke it up. Private Party hit the Silly String on Madden. Kassidy hit a “cutter” (I guess they can’t say “Twist of Fate” with the Hardys in TNA) on Mansoor, then hit Mansoor with the Bang For Your Buck and got the pinfall.

After the match, Kassidy promised “on his momma” to win the World Tag Team Titles.

This show is getting shockingly good on its way out.  In a few weeks, The Butcher, Harely Cameron, MxM and myself aren’t gonna have anything to do Friday nights!

AEW Rampage live results: The Conglomeration vs. Undisputed Kingdom

Five matches are set for tonight’s AEW Rampage from Spokane, Washington, including faction warfare between two of AEW’s key stables.

The Conglomeration’s Orange Cassidy & Kyle O’Reilly will team up against The Undisputed Kingdom’s Matt Taven & Mike Bennett in this week’s featured contest. The Conglomeration has been tied up in a feud with The Learning Tree as Mark Briscoe defends his ROH World title against Chris Jericho at Saturday’s WrestleDream.

That feud will continue on the show as Bryan Keith of The Learning Tree goes one-on-one with Rocky Romero after a staredown on Wednesday.

Ahead of his two-of-three falls match with Hologram Saturday, The Beast Mortos of the rebooted LFI will take on The Butcher.

Kris Statlander, who has got TBS Champion Mercedes Mone’s attention, and Lance Archer, now under the leadership of Don Callis, will each be in action against enhancement talent.

The show will be the final stop before Saturday’s pay-per-view.

**********

The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy & Kyle O’Reilly) defeated The Undisputed Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett)

Cassidy and Bennett traded offense until Cassidy’s taunting quickly enraged Bennet. Tagging himself in, Taven hoped to use the Undisputed Kingdom’s combined efforts to stop Cassidy, but that only resulted in a double clothesline to Bennett. O’Reilly tagged himself in so Cassidy could recuperate. Bennet & Taven teamed up on O’Reilly but he outsmarted them.

Cassidy attempted a double-crossbody, which was caught mid-air. O’Reilly saved him and applied a leg and arm hold on Bennett (to which Cassidy politely offered a dainty kick). The pair later kicked Bennett into the turnbuckle, with Cassidy hoping for a pin, broken by the 2-count. After clotheslining each other, Cassidy and Bennett made their tags. Taven had a hot tag, the freshest man in the match. His momentum was thwarted by a Stun-Dog Millionaire and a Rolling Elbow from Cassidy and O’Reilly respectively. Bennett tried a Rolling Elbow of his own and chopped the chest of O’Reilly.

A brawl ensued, with everyone trading their signature strikes and maneuvers. O’Reilly maintained a Guillotine Choke on Bennett while Cassidy fended off Taven. Bennett tapped out, with O’Reilly and Cassidy being the victors.

I don’t typically give The Conglomeration and The Undisputed Kingdom enough credit, but they both put in an excellent opening performance. Poor Bennett though, he got the brunt of the offense. Cassidy seems to be accepting his Conglomeration more, and I’m finally beginning to enjoy them as a team.

– Mercedes Mone and Kamille backstage segment, Mone announced Kamille would be present for Kris Statlander’s match

– The Acclaimed made their entrance but were attacked by MxM Collection, Mansoor declared MxM Collection to have a surprise in their corner and touched tips

– Kris Statlander promo vignette, rechristened herself as a born-again

– Rocky Romero and The Conglomeration promo

Kris Statlander defeated Amira

Starting the match with a vertical suplex powerslam, Statlander swiftly dispatched Amira with a Friday Night Fever and got the 3-count within mere minutes after the bell.

There’s nothing insightful to add other than that Statlander makes just as good a squash wrestler as she is a plunder match and brawler.

– Chris Jericho promo

The Beast Mortos defeated The Butcher

Roderick Strong joined the commentary booth as Mortos’s strength and agility saw him gain the upper hand against Butcher. With a flurry of strikes and dodges, Mortos followed up with a snap-mare, but Butcher managed to swing some momentum his way. Charging after Butcher, Mortos accidentally swung himself over the top rope and spilled to the outside. Slamming Mortos onto the steel steps and fighting dirty, Butcher confidently picked at Mortos in the ring.

The two brutes charged at each other, finally knocking the other down. Mortos aimed for a top rope dive on Butcher, but he evaded, attempting a Jackhammer which resulted a 2-count. Mortos found that another top rope move would be a benefit after he performed a flying headbutt on a horizontal-prone Butcher for the win.

A nice hoss match. Thankfully this wasn’t some sort of squash that would typically make Butcher look like a complete geek. He put on a great performance against Mortos and I’d love to see more between them.

– Harley Cameron promo

“The Murderhawk” Lance Archer defeated Matt Brannigan

Brannigan flexed confidently to Archer, who bravely pushed him to a nearby corner. Imploring Brannigan to hit him back, Archer delivered a lariat. Throwing himself at Brannigan back in the corner three times, Archer flipped him over to another corner in a blink-and-miss-it moment.

Clutching Brannigan from the top rope, Archer courageously sent his opponent to the mat with a Blackout and got the 3-count pin.

Yet another good squash match. Hopefully, the newly active Archer will find more dynamic and heart-stopping matches soon.

– Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Los Faccion Ingobernables promo

Bryan Keith defeated Rocky Romero

An irate Romero overwhelmed Keith, leaving him no room to find an opening. Romero, seeking a Hurricanrana on the steps, was countered by Keith with an Exploder on the floor outside the ring. Using referee Aubrey Edwards as a shield, Keith applied a hold which Romero spiritedly pushed against. Reinvigorated through adrenaline, Romero’s goals were dashed by a knee after an unsuccessful double-underhook for a 2-count.

Battling on the top rope, Romero sent himself and Keith flying onto the mat, but Keith escaped to the outside. Dragging him back in, Romero became victim to a blindsided attack by Big Bill. Keith finished the match with a Diamond Dust.

– Post-match, The Conglomeration entered the ring to fend off Bryan Keith and Big Bill as the show went off the air.

Romero made for an enthralling foil to Keith’s underhanded tactics that kept me hooked. I knew he’d lose, but that’s a testament to his tenured experience and Keith’s unique writing style—a small man fighting like a big man. Funny how Big Bill and Bryan Keith’s work outside of Chris Jericho’s 2024 presence make for an exciting experience.

AEW Rampage live results: The Elite vs. Private Party & Katsuyori Shibata

A six-man tag team bout featuring the TNT Champion and the Tag Team Champions headlines this week’s AEW Rampage.

TNT Champion Jack Perry and AEW Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks of The Elite face off against Private Party and Katsuyori Shibata. Shibata will challenge Perry for the TNT title at WrestleDream next week, while Private Party look to be next in line for a shot at the Tag titles.

The feud between The Learning Tree stable and The Conglomeration continues tonight with Learning Tree’s Big Bill and Bryan Keith versus Orange Cassidy and Kyle O’Reilly of The Conglomeration. Chris Jericho will be on commentary for the bout.

Kamille will be in action against an enhancement talent on the show. TBS Champion Mercedes Mone will be in Kamille’s corner.

Queen Aminata versus Harley Cameron in another women’s division bout rounds out Friday’s card.

Tonight’s episode was taped Wednesday night in Pittsburgh. Spoilers are available here.

Taped from Pittsburgh, PA.

Excalibur, Tony Schiavone & Matt Menard were on commentary.

Katsuyori Shibata & Private Party defeated The Young Bucks & Jack Perry (15:00)

Shibata and Perry started things out. Nothing like loading up a show with star power after it’s been canceled. Shibata got Perry down on the mat and went for a juji gatame, but Perry quickly got to the ropes. Nick Jackson blindsided Shibata and both he and Perry took advantage. Marq Quen got a tag and took Nick down with a step-up rana, then both members of Private Party double-teamed both of the Young Bucks. Shibata ran in and booted Perry to the floor, and Private Party hit stereo planchas on the Bucks on the floor. Soon all six guys were fighting on the floor. Perry whipped Shibata into the ring barricade.

Back in the ring, Nick hit one member of Private Party with a senton while Perry dropped the other with a hanging DDT on the floor.

After the split-screen break, Zay took both the Bucks down with a hiptoss, backdropped Perry to the floor, and avoided a dive from Matt Jackson. He dove for the tag to Shibata, but Perry pulled Shibata to the floor. The Bucks hit Zay with an assisted Sliced Bread and a sliding knee for a near fall. Perry set Zay up for a powerbomb in the corner, but Zay countered with a rana (that sent Perry into a double kick from The Bucks). Zay finally got the tag to Quen, who caught Matt with a powerslam and took both Bucks down with a rana. The Bucks dropped to the floor, and Quen followed them out with a springboard dive. Back in the ring, Quen hit a springboard crossbody on Matt for a near fall.

Quen went to the top, but Perry crotched him. Matt sent Quen crashing down with a top rope Falcon Arrow for a near fall. Shibata got the tag to square off with Perry. Perry hit Shibata with a dropkcik but Shibata came back with forearms. Private Party and Shibata triple teamed Perry, and Shibata got a near fall after a boot. Shibata hit the PK kick for a near fall, but Matthew Jackson broke the pin attempt up.

Shibata worked over Perry in the corner with forearms. The Bucks caught Shibata and Zay with a pair of superkicks, and Perry joined them to give Quen a tripe superkick. The Bucks got a near fall on Quen with a slingshot sitdown powerbomb. Perry set Quen up for something, but Zay used his partner as a springboard for a Canadian Destroyer. Private Party hit the Gin and Juice on Perry for a near fall.

Matt blocked the Silly String with a Northern Lights suplex. The Bucks wiped out Zay with the EVP Trigger. They set up Quen for the Meltzer Driver, but Zay tripped up Nick and Quen rolled up Zay to get the pinfall! I didn’t see that one coming. Fun party match.

Top Flight v. House of Black v. Private Party for the title shot at WrestleDream will happen on Collision tomorrow night.

– Renee Paquette interviewed Kris Statlander, who called herself a “born again Kristin.” She started to put herself over, but was interrupted by Kamille, who shoulder-checked her on the way to her match.

Kamille (w/ Mercedes Mone) defeated Zoey Lynn (0:16)

Kamille hit a spear as soon as the bell rang, then hit an inverted neckbreaker/Cross Rhodes to get the win.

– Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie cut a weird promo about their partnership.

Queen Aminata defeated Harley Cameron (6:57)

Aminata worked the arm early on, but Cameron countered with a pop up enziguri. Aminata hit a sliding knee, then a sliding kick in the corner.

After a long commercial break, Cameron hit a sliding knee on Aminata for a near fall. Cameron sent Aminata to the floor with an axe kick. Back in the ring, Aminata hit a snap suplex and a lariat for a near fall. Cameron avoided a second sliding kick in the corner. Cameron countered an air raid crash with a cradle, but Aminata came back with a tilt-a-whirl neckbreaker, then hit the Queen’s Crown (a headbutt) for the pinfall.

After the match, Serena Deeb jumped Aminata from behind, but Britt Baker (in a “Brittsburgh” football jersey) ran in with a chair to save Aminata.

– Rene Paquette interviewed the Acclaimed, who threw out threats to the MXM Collection.

Orange Cassidy & Kyle O’Reilly defeated Big Bill & Bryan Keith (w/ Chris Jericho) (12:24)

Jericho joined the commentary team.

Lots of stalling and psychology back and forth between Bill and Cassidy. O’Reilly got in on the act, and they both avoided contact, frustrating Bill. “Too Much Man” is on Bill’s tights, and I hope that is sticking as a secondary nickname for Bill.

Keith tagged in to square off with O’Reilly. The match started to break down, with O’Reilly chasing Keith around the ring. Bill and Keith were stacked up against the ring barricade, and both O’Reilly and Cassidy mauled them with kicks going into the break.

After the break, O’Reilly went for an ankle lock, but Keith escaped and got a german suplex on O’Reilly. Bill got the tag and squashed both Cassidy and O’Reilly with avalanches. Taped in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Tony Schiavone & Matt Menard were on commentary.

Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews(w/ Brody King) defeated  Lio Rush and Action Andretti (w/ Top Flight & Leila Grey) (9:04)

At least Top Flight weren’t dressed like airline pilots. Black calmy sat in his corner while Rush and Andretti argued over who would start. Rush caught Black with a quick stunner which didn’t really phase Black. Andretti and Matthews got the tags and there was more dissension between Andretti and Rush. Rush was aggravated and it was distracting Rush. Rush ate a knee from Matthews that sent him to the floor.

On the floor, Andretti kept trying to get into it with Matthews. Back in the ring, Andretti flew in and hit Matthews with a springboard forearm. Matthews blocked a double-suplex attempt, only to get hit with a double dropkick. The Righteous was shown watching the match from the back.

After a split-screen break, Black nearly choked out Andretti with a chinlock. Andretti fought out of it, and both guys crashed into each other going for crossbody blocks. Rush and Matthews got the tags, and Rush caught Matthews with a poison rana and a springboard cutter. Black got the tag and floored Rush with an elbow. Rush came back and set up Black for a splash off the top, but Andretti got the blind tag. Rush and Andretti argued, but that gave Black the opening to hit Andretti with the Black Mass kick and got the pinfall. The arguing between Rush and Andretti was over the top.

After the match, Andretti threw a water bottle at Brody King, who mauled him with a clothesline. Top Flight drug Andretti out of the ring before things got worse for him. Later in the show, it was announced that Andretti and King will face off at Collision: Grand Slam tomorrow night. So I guess things are gonna get worse for Andretti anyway.

– Lexi Nair interviewed Anna Jay, who’s going to find her new place in AEW tonight after a tour of Japan.

Anna Jay defeated  Robyn Renegade (2:39)

This is Jay’s first match back from a tour of Stardom. Jay blocked a hip toss attempt and buried a series of knees in Renegade’s midsection. Jay yanked Renegade out of a corner and hit a shotgun dropkick. Renegade came back with a stiff forearm. Renegade clawed at Jay’s face… then licked her own fingers afterward. Jay fired back with chops, ducked a clothesline and hit a forearm. Jay hit a rolling neckbreaker, then hit a Gory bomb to get her 60th win all time in the women’s division. Jay looked improved here.

– Renee Paquette moderated a face-to-face between Ricochet and WIll Ospreay. Ospreeay kind of ran down Ricochet for not winning the IWGP Junior Heavyweight  Championship, and Ricochet responded that with his decades of experience, failing to win that title didn’t matter. The full interview is available on YouTube.

Konosuke Takeshita defeated Angelico (8:05 aired)

Takeshita hit a flying cutter just before the long commercial break.

After the break, Angelico caught Takeshita with a pair of clotheslines and a small package for a near fall. Angelico tied up Takeshita’s arms, but Takeshita broke free and hit a forearm. Angelico tied up Takeshita with a leg scissors and chinlock combination, but Takeshita made it to the ropes. Both guys climb the ropes, but Takeshita raked Angelico’s face to send him to the mat. Angelico climb back up again and backdropped Takeshita off the turnbuckles! Angelico then went for a blind dive, but dove right into a forearm from Takeshita. A spinning blue thunder bomb followed by a falcon arrow finished off Angelico.  Most of the match took place in the split screen before the break, but the finish was awesome.

– Recap of Bryan Danielson & Nigel McGuinness and Dabry Allin & Jox Moxley from Grand Slam.

The Acclaimed (w/ Billy Gunn) defeated  “Fancy” Clancy and TJ Crawford (2:03)

Max Caster’s rap was quite political. He rapped about “eating cats and dogs in Springfield,” but they weren’t in that Springfield. A few weeks ago it looked like Acclaimed was thisclose to getting the tag titles back, but they look further away from the top of the division than ever. Clancy had a nice looking dropkick. Other than that, this was a squash for the Acclaimed. Bowens hit the uranage on Clancy, followed by the mic drop from Caster. He wasn’t the legal man, so Caster and Bowens hit some kind of double team powerbomb out of a press slam on Crawford for the finish.

After the match, Caster cut a promo on the MXM Collection (calling them the Maximum Male Models), The MXM Collection responded with just an incredible promo from the big screen in the arena.

Willow Nightingale defeated Taya Valkyrie (10:53)

Willow avenged a earlier loss to Valkyire with a victory here.

Valkyrie tried to whip Nightingale out of the corner, but Nightingale did a cartwheel and caught Valkyrie with an enziguri. Nightingale followed up with several slams. Nightingale hit a shotgun dropkick off the middle rope, and Valkyrie dropped to the floor. There was no respite for Valkyrie on the floor, as Nightingale followed her out with a cannonball.

Nightingale was fighting from underneath after the split screen break. Nightingale floored Valkyrie with a lariat. Nightingale mauled Valkyrie in the corner and hit a spinebuster for a near fall. Crowd chanted for Willow, but she missed a shotgun dropkick. Valkyrie came back with a clothesline and hit a meteora in the corner for a near fall.

Valkyrie hit a superkick and went to the top, but Nightingale cut her off with a superplex. Valkyrie hit a series of forearms, but Nightingale came back with the pounce. Willow got the pinfall after a Doctor Bomb.

Sabian has been trailing The Patriarchy in recent weeks which has raised the ire of Christian Cage and Wayne.

**********

Taped in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Excalibur, Ian Riccaboni and Matt Menard were on commentary.

Mark Briscoe defeated Bryan Keith (12:21)

Briscoe is ROH World champion, but this was non-title. Briscoe sent Keith to the floor, hit Keith with a dropkick through the ropes, then dropped a Cactus Jack style elbow on the floor. Back in the ring for some hard chops and redneck kung-fu. Briscoe tossed a chair in the ring to use as a springboard for a plancha, but Keith cut him off. While Aubrey Edwards got rid of the steel chair, Keith hit a low blow behind her back to take control.

When Keith was offense, it was pretty uninspired. Keith chopped away at Briscoe on the floor, then hit a snap suplex on the floor.

Aftert a split-screen break, Keith cut off a comeback from Briscoe with a boot and a headbutt. Keith went for Diamond Dust, but Briscoe countered with a face rake. Briscoe hit a top rope superplex. Kieth and Briscoe exchanged forearms mid-ring, then exchanged chops around the ring. Briscoe hit a flying forearm, but Keith came back with an enziguri. Briscoe came back with one of his own, then hit an exploder suplex. But Keith came back with an exploder suplex of his own!

Briscoe charged into a boot from Keith, but caught him with a death valley driver. Briscoe missed the froggy bow, and Keith hit a knee strike out of a tiger driver attempt for another near fall. Keith went for the Diamond Dust again, but Briscoe hit a pair of lariats to counter, then hit the Jay Driller to get the pinfall. Great opener for Rampage.

Before Briscoe could celebrate his victory, Chris Jericho ran in and attacked Briscoe with a bat. Orange Cassidy, Big Bill and Kyle O’Reilly all ran in, with Big Bill dominating O’Reilly and Cassidy.

Wheeler Yuta defeated The Butcher (4:02)

Butcher jumped a disinterested Yuta before the bell and dropped him with a backbreaker. On the floor, Butcher dropped Yuta against the ring barricade and clotheslined him against the ring apron. Back in the ring, Butcher hit a pair of short-arm lariats. Yuta tried for a German suplex, but got a back elbow. A couple of slaps woke up Yuta, who fired up with a shotgun dropkick and mauled Butcher in the corner with forearms and chops. Yuta took Butcher down with a high angle slam and rolling German suplexes. After the hammer and anvil elbows, Yuta locked in the Cattle Mutiliation and got the submission. Yuta held on the hold until well after the bell, and almost attacked the ref after the match. Yuta is playing up this new conflicted character great.

– The MXM Collection have stolen Max Caster’s “Best Wrestler Alive” jacket! And they’re planning to give it makeover.

Hikaru Shida v. Harley Cameron (w/ Saraya) (7:04 aired)

Two and half minutes of almost every women’s match on Rampage takes place during the picture in picture break, usually after the first two minutes of action. Then there’s a full commerical (no split screen) before the show starts back up again with the babyface making her comeback. The point of this is to say that off the seven minutes they gave the match, really only the last three mattered.

After the commercial, Shida hit a kneestrike for a near fall. Shida went for the Falcon Arrow, but Saraya distracted her and Cameron hit a blind side kick for a near fall. Cameron avoided an enziguri and exchanged pin attempts with Shida. Cameron went for a knee strike, but Shida blocked it and hit a question mark kick. Saraya distracted Shida again, and Cameron hit another knee strike for a near fall. Saraya grabbed Shida’s kendo stick to use as a weapon, but Jamie Hayter (still being dressed by Disco Inferno) ran out to chase Saraya away. Saraya hit the Falcon Arrow to get the pinfall.

After the match, Saraya challenged Jamie Hayter for Grand Slam in a “Saraya’s Rules” match, which Hayter accepts.

The Beast Mortos & Roderick Strong (w/ Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) defeated Joe Keys & Marcus Mathers (1:24)

Strong hit one of the Mathers with a knee strike and Mortos dropped Keys with a pop-up Samoan Drop and they got stereo pinfalls.

– Darby Allin v. Evil Uno and Mariah May v. Lady Frost has been added to tomorrow night’s Collision line up.

– Deonna Purrazzo has some wine and finds a friend in Taya Valkyrie.

Nick Wayne pinned Rockey Romero to win a four way match that also included Lio Rush (w/ Action Andretti) and Kip Sabian

Sabian tripped of Rush and hit an Arabian Press on Wayne and Romero on the floor. Rush caught Sabian with a back kick then took him out with a plancha. Rush tricked Romero into a rollup for a near fall. Sabian caught Romero with an enziguri and Rush with a knee strike. Nick Wayne then crotches Sabian on the ringpost.

Wayne hit a snap suplex on Romero and taunted the crowd. Wayne backdroped Rush and hit him with a kick while the rest of the Patriarchy looked on approvingly from the back.

Wayne dominated through the split-screen break. Rush faked Wayne out and caught him with a Spanish Fly for a near fall. Sabian sprung in with a dropkcik on Rush, then followed up with a cannonball. Romero hit a Northern Lights suplex on Sabian, then hit forever clotheslines on all his opponents in the corners. Romero hit the Sliced Bread on Rush for a near fall.

Wayne and Sabian dumped the other two the floor so they could have the ring for themselves. Wayne went for the Wayne’s World, but Sabian blocked it and hit a half-and-half suplex. Romero and Rush got back into it, and Rush went for a frog splash on Romero, but instead caught a cutter from Wayne.

Sabian went for a Burning Hammer on Wayne, but Wayne made the ropes. Sabian hit Romero with a Burning Hammer, but Wayne dumped Sabian to the floor, and then Wayne covered Romero to get the victory.
