AEW Dark results: Blake Christian vs. Rohit Raju

This week’s 14-match AEW Dark lineup from Universal Studios saw the AEW debut of Blake Christian against former Impact X-Division Champion Rohit Raju.

Jay Lethal defeated JD Drake (w/ The Wingmen)

This opener should have been better as both competitors seemed to have a lack of fire.

Drake gained an early advantage with the assistance that The Wingmen provided with their outside interference. With the momentum, Drake delivered a powerful dropdown headbutt before transitioning to a headlock. Lethal escaped the hold and begin to gain the crowd’s support, allowing him to hit a Lethal Injection for the pin and win.

The Butcher & The Blade defeated The Infantry (Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo)

Butcher isolated Bravo as the match began. Dean got a hot tag, but it would prove to be ineffective as the Blade was able to score the victory shortly after hitting Full Death.

Anthony Ogogo defeated Ray Jaz

Ogogo delivered a standing suplex and taunted the crowd. Jaz fought back with some light strikes that did virtually no damage. Ogogo delivered his signature knockout punch moments later, giving him the victory.

Nyla Rose (w/ Vickie Guerrero) defeated Kaci Lennox

Similar to last night’s Dark: Elevation, Guerrero distracted Lennox which allowed Rose to blindside her from behind. A Beast Bomb ended up being the fate of Lennox, giving Rose another win.

Blake Christian defeated Rohit Raju

This was a fun sprint match despite only lasting around three minutes.

Raju was aggressive in his first approach to Christian, delivering a foot stomp to his chest. Christian retaliated with a split-legged moonsault for a near fall. Raju responded with a running flatliner which only motivated Christian to get back up and hit a springboard 450 splash for the win.

The Acclaimed defeated The Skulk (Liam Grey & Adrian Alanis)

Max Caster delivered a great running elbow to Alanis as the bout started. Anthony Bowens tagged in and brought Grey into the match. After a few more moves, Caster delivered the Mic Drop elbow drop to Grey for the victory,

AQA defeated Valentina Rossi

Rossi didn’t take AQA lightly as she delivered a few knees to her stomach. Rossi wouldn’t get far as AQA planted her on the mat with a rolling neckbreaker which scored herself the win.

Tony Nese defeated Karam

Nese focused on taking Karam to the mat and working on the legs. After positioning Karam on the bottom turnbuckle, Nese delivered a running leg strike for the victory.

Abadon defeated Angelica Risk

Abadon toyed around with Risk for a moment before putting her away with her signature DDT.

Gunn Club (Austin & Colten Gunn) defeated Brick City Boyz

There was no tag team action here; it was practically a thirty second tornado tag match. Colten pinned Cruz after a Colt 45 in a very quick manner.

Mercedes Martinez defeated Gemma Jewels

Martinez delivered some hard chops as she gained steam from the crowd. After a series of running dropkicks in the corner, Martinez locked in a dragon sleeper on Jewels who tapped rather quickly.

Varsity Blonds (w/ Julia Hart) defeated Sotheara Chhun and Tony Vincita

Griff Garrison and Chhun started out. Garrison planted Chhun with a side slam while Brian Pillman came in off a tag. Pillman faced a double team from Chhun and Vincita for a few moments before he tagged back out to Garrison, who delivered multiple release overhead belly-to-belly suplexes. Pillman later successfully pinned Vincita with a brainbuster.

Marina Shafir defeated Leila Grey

Shafir struggled with Grey for a moment, but would tap her out shortly after with a cradle headlock-type submission that looked pretty neat.

Powerhouse Hobbs defeated Fuego Del Sol

Hobbs pummeled Sol into the mat and was in complete control early on. When the match spilled to the outside, Sol had a glimmer of hope when he shoved Hobbs into the ring post and followed it up with a tornado DDT for a near fall. After kicking out, Hobbs regained his footing and put Sol in the Torture Rack for the victory to finish out this week’s show.

AEW Dark results: Young Bucks & Brandon Cutler vs. Dark Order

This week’s matches were taped at the most recent Universal Studios tapings in Orlando, Florida.

The Young Bucks and Brandon Cutler defeated Dark Order (Evil Uno, Colt Cabana and Alan “5” Angels)

This opener was about as good as it got for the entire duration of the show.

Tags frequented early on with both Nick and Matt Jackson struggling to gain momentum as Uno and Cabana delivered a plethora of moves. This led to Cutler getting into the match and he immediately had his jacket ripped open, leading to a series of chops from Uno.

The Bucks quickly got tired of Cutler being beat down and made the save. A series of superkicks and reversals followed that saw all six competitors have at least a spot or two. Dark Order looked to be in firm control of the match when Angels came off the top for a splash on Cutler, but the Bucks were in the right spot at the right time and delivered a BTE trigger on “5”. Cutler was then thrown on top of Angels by The Bucks for the winning pinfall.

Ruby Soho defeated Ashley D’Amboise

Soho was rocked by a strike from D’Amboise early on, but quickly regained her composure and went on to nail her signature No Future kick for the win.

Josh Woods defeated AC Adams

The last Ring of Honor Pure Champion sent Adams flying about ten feet back with a pump kick before nailing him with his signature float over german suplex for the victory.

Woods cut a promo afterwards expressing his happiness about Tony Khan purchasing ROH.

Ricky Starks defeated Darian Bengston

Starks came off the middle turnbuckle with an axe handle to start the bout. After beating Bengston around the ring with various strikes, the FTW Champion finished the match after hitting his spear-twisting slam combination.

Diamante defeated Session Moth Martina

Martina got off to a good start, but her momentum came to a screeching halt when Diamante delivered a great russian leg sweep. Shortly after, Diamante delivered a rough-looking Code Red for the win.

Dark Order (John Silver & Alex Reynolds) (w/-1) defeated Chaos Project

Serpentico and Silver started out and Silver struggled to get on task as Serpentico kept him grounded. The match changed course when Reynolds entered off the hot tag.

Silver and Reynolds teamed up and delivered a series of double team maneuvers that got them a quick pinfall victory, their second in consecutive nights over Chaos Project.

Leyla Hirsch defeated Marina Tucker

Hirsch delivered a standing suplex to Tucker as the bell rang. After delivering a knee strike, Hirsch quickly tapped out Tucker with an armbar.

Top Flight defeated Invictus Khash and Ariya Daivari

Khash worked over Darius Martin’s neck early on, isolating him from his brother, Dante. Daivari got his turn and took the match to the outside, allowing his team to gain an advantage.

When Dante got the hot tag, it spelled the end for Khash and Daivari. The brothers hit a series of both high-flying and rapid fire moves before Darius pinned Khash with a bridging german suplex for the victory,

10 defeated Aaron Solo (w/ QT Marshall)

Solo heckled the crowd for being behind 10, which would only create a distraction that 10 took advantage of. 10 dominated the majority of the match until QT Marshall was kicked out of the building for nearly interfering in the bout. While the referee was distracted, Nick Comoroto came out of nowhere and speared 10 which resulted in a Solo near fall.

10 picked up the pieces quickly after and tapped out Solo with the full nelson submission.

Emi Sakura defeated Shalonce Royal

After playing to the crowd for a short amount of time, Sakura defeated Royal quickly with a twisting Vader Bomb.

Lance Archer defeated Sage Scott

Archer threw Scott into the ring during his entrance. After hitting a few clotheslines and shoulder tackles, Archer finished the match with a Blackout.

Daniel Garcia and 2point0 defeated Luke Sampson, Mike Reed and Shayne Stetson

This was all Garcia and 2point0 as the opposing team never even hit another strike. The bout lasted about 45 seconds until Garcia tapped out Sampson with a sharpshooter.

Frankie Kazarian defeated Jora Johl

Johl showed some resilience against Kazarian early on as he absorbed the majority of Kazarian’s offense. This only motivated the “Heavy Metal Rebel” to hit harder as the match went on. Johl had his moments in the match, including a very good big boot spot. He would eventually fall to Kazarian’s crossface chicken wing submission.

The Young Bucks part of 13-match AEW Dark lineup

For the first time since June 2020, former AEW Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks will return to AEW Dark.

Matt & Nick Jackson will team with Brandon Cutler to take on Dark Order’s Evil Uno, Colt Cabana and Alan Angels in trios action.

The last time the Bucks were on Dark was in a June 2020 win over Cutler and Peter Avalon. This will be the fifth time they have appeared on the show dating back to October 2019.

AEW has announced 13 matches for the show, all filmed on March 3 from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. This will be the first show to air from those tapings.

Other notable matches include 10 of the Dark Order taking on the Factory’s Aaron Solo, Frankie Kazarian vs. Jora Johl and Dark Order’s John Silver & Alex Reynolds facing Chaos Project in a rematch from Monday’s Dark: Elevation.

Ring of Honor’s final Pure Champion Josh Woods will return for his third AEW outing as he faces AC Adams.

AEW Dark results: Top Flight vs. The Wingmen

Anna Jay (w/ -1) defeated Marina Tucker

Jay ran through the motions early on, eventually nailing Tucker with a no-look superkick after dropping her to her knees. Tucker tried to execute some offense, but failed and tapped to the Queenslayer shortly after.

Scorpio Sky defeated Sonny Kiss

Kiss overwhelmed Sky with a flurry of fast-motion offense when the bell rang, capped off with a standing knee moonsault from “The Concrete Rose.”

Sky regained his focus after recovering, hitting a trifecta of backbreakers on Kiss. Sky followed that up with a high boot that Kiss sold very well. Shortly after, Kiss fell victim to Sky’s signature TKO.

Red Velvet defeated Kiera Hogan

Hogan cracked Velvet with a basement dropkick to literally kick off the match. Hogan would try to string together more offense but Velvet caught her with the Final Slice for a quick three count.

Top Flight defeated The Wingmen (Peter Avalon & Ryan Nemeth)

Darius Martin and Avalon started things out. Avalon got picked on as the two Martin brothers exchanged tags and high flying maneuvers. Nemeth would eventually halt the momentum after throwing Dante Martin into the ringside steps.

Nemeth showboated and worked Dante down with multiple strikes on the ground. Avalon would eventually come in to assist, but cost the team in terms of momentum as Dante sent both Wingmen crashing into one another.

Darius came in off the hot tag and bulldozed both Avalon and Nemeth while Dante recovered on the outside. When he was ready to go, Dante tagged in and hit the Nosedive springboard moonsault on Nemeth for the win.

Kris Statlander defeated Kelsey Raegan

Raegan slapped Statlander in the face which led to Statlander beginning a sequence of moves that concluded with the Big Bang Theory and a pinfall victory for the “Galaxy’s Greatest Alien.”

Ruby Soho & AQA defeated Diamante & Emi Sakura

Diamante and AQA started, but the two didn’t last long before Soho and Sakura came in. Sakura confused her opponents and tied them up together, allowing Diamante to dropkick them.

AQA was worked on by Sakura before Soho got the hot tag and delivered a flurry of kicks. Soho attempted a pin after a russian leg sweep, but was unsuccessful. When Sakura tagged out to Diamante, AQA came back in and hit a series of clotheslines. Shortly after, AQA hit her signature shooting star press for the victory.

The Butcher & The Blade defeated Dark Order (Alan Angels & Colt Cabana)

Angels tried to take out The Butcher at ringside, but was caught and swung head first into the steel steps. This would lead to Butcher and Blade dominating the first portion of the match, specifically working on Angels.

Cabana eventually found his way in the match and took down Butcher with a middle rope moonsault. Cabana’s efforts wouldn’t be enough for his team to get back into things as Angels fell victim a Butcher powerslam just a few moments later that gave them the win.

Nyla Rose (w/ Vickie Guerrero) defeated Skye Blue

Rose lifted up Blue for a Beast Bomb as soon as the bell rang, but Blue was able to counter. Rose was obviously upset by this, but Blue followed it up with a nice superkick. Rose shifted gears after recovering and eventually nailed Blue with the Beast Bomb for the pin and win.

Jay Lethal defeated Serpentico (w/ Luther)

Serpentico tried to put together some type of cohesive offense, but Lethal seemingly had a counter for everything. After clocking Luther off the apron, Lethal hit a Lethal Injection for the quick victory.

Private Party (w/ Matt Hardy) defeated Lee Johnson & Brock Anderson (w/ Arn Anderson)

Johnson and Isiah Kassidy started out. With some assistance from Matt Hardy, Kassidy took control and worked over Johnson while tagging in and out to Marq Quen.

Anderson came in off the hot tag and planted Quen with a spinebuster. Anderson then tried to apply a headlock to Quen, but Kassidy sprinted in the ring out of nowhere and rolled up Anderson with a foot on the rope for the victory. Kassidy had made a blind tag while Anderson was charging at Quen.

AEW Dark results: Dante Martin vs. Jack Evans

It’s Tuesday and you know what that means: an eleven-match AEW Dark taped in The All Elite Zone at Universal Studios. As usual, Taz and Excalibur were on the call.

Lee Johnson defeated Darian Bengston

Bengston and Johnson were pretty much equal in terms of speed and things were pretty much a tie between both wrestlers. Bengston tried to go for a moonsault but failed to hit his target. Johnson then connected with theFisherman’s Buster for the win. Johnson was able to pick up his first win of 2022 in AEW and his record is now 1-1.

Sonny Kiss defeated Ashton Starr

Sonny started the match with a very impressive hurracarrana and Starr, not wanting to be outclassed, pulled off a great tilt a whirl backbreaker. Sonny Kiss with a Gamengiri was able to pick the win. His record is 2-1 in 2022 following this match.

The Acclaimed defeated B. Jack & Donovan Izzolena

This match was the AEW debut of Jack and Izzolena. Squash match, Max Caster with a Mic Drop to Izzolena and Bowens covered to improve their overall tag team record to 34-8.

Marina Shafir defeated Danielle Kamela

This match was the AEW debut of Kamela. Kamela worked Shafir’s left arm and shoulder for a good portion of the match. Shafir followed it up with a brutal bow and arrow to Kamela’s lower back. Shafir with a modified gogoplata won this match by submission and improved her 2022 record to 3-0, remaining undefeated.

Dante Martin defeated Jack Evans (w/ Jora Johl & Angelico)

This match had a very hot start. Martin tried to go for his usual high-flying stuff, but Evan’s experience helped him anticipate and counter any move from Martin. Evans used some llaveo (grappling) on this match to try to ground Martin, all while Johl and Angelico helped him from ringside. Evans worked most of the match on Martin’s chest with kicks and chops. Evans during the match pulled off a Suicidal Rider kick, a staple from The Great Sasuke. Dante Martin connected with an outside tornillo and the nosedive, and he was able to win this match and improve his overall record to 42-20.

Abadon defeated Sahara Seven

Sahara Seven dropped the biggest scream someone has never done during a match with Abadon, and it was pretty funny. This was basically a squash match. Abadon was able to win this match with a leg hook stomp and Abadon’s record is now 28-3.

Diamante defeated Vipress

Short match, Diamante with Code Red won this match, and her overall record is 35-19.

Kiera Hogan defeated Kelsey Raegan

This was the AEW debut of Kelsey Raegan. Hogan with several dropkicks during the match was able to keep Raegan at bay. A superkick by Hogan was able to end the match and improve her record to 5-1.

Daniel Garcia (w/ 2point0) defeated Josh Woods

Two technical wrestlers going at it. Woods worked Garcia’s left arm, all while using his size to take control of the match. Garica slowly took Woods down and took control of the match with his grappling. Garcia got a near fall with a stacked Saito suplex. Garcia tried to go for a Scorpion Deathlock, but Woods was able to counter into a small package. Garcia with a Gotch-style piledriver was able to win the match and his record is now 18-15.

Shawn Dean defeated Will Austin

Dean before this match talked about the upcoming Who We Are album and his track. Dean tried to go for a suicide dive but Austin connected with a kick and was able to stop Dean. However, Dean came back with a combination of a frog splash and The Deal was able to score the win. His record is now 3-0 in 2022.

Orange Cassidy & Wheeler Yuta defeated Aaron Solo & Nick Comoroto (w/ QT Marshall)

Wheeler Yuta made the mistake of trying to overpower Nick Comoroto and paid big time for that mistake. Comoroto took Cassidy’s sunglasses off him with a kick, Cassidy was able to get them back and put them back on. Marshall intervened in favor of Solo and Comoroto during this match and was later sent to the back by referee Bryce Remsburg. This match had all the comedy bits we are used to in Orange Cassidy’s matches. An Orange Punch and a German Suplex from Yuta on Solo was all Cassidy and Yuta needed to win.

Final Thoughts:

Taz and Excalibur were fun to listen to as usual, especially anything regarding Taz and his hatred of Bryce Remsburg. The Wingmen had a fun backstage promo segment talking about fashion and spring. Dante Martin vs. Jack Evans the highlight of the show, but I would also recommend watching Garcia vs. Woods and the main event.

AEW Dark results: Matt Sydal vs. Serpentico

This week’s AEW Dark featured seven matches taped at Universal Studios in Orlando, headlined by Matt Sydal vs. Serpentico.

Varsity Blonds defeated Guillermo Rosas and Marcus Kross

Brian Pillman Jr. started off against Kross, but couldn’t get much done so he tagged out to Griff Garrison who immediately came in and delivered a boot to Kross. Rosas tagged himself in and poked Garrison in the eye when the referee wasn’t looking which led to a small period of success for himself and Kross. Pillman eventually came in on the hot tag and delivered a dropkick to Kross, followed by a clothesline in the corner.

Garrison came in shortly after and delivered a reverse body slam which got the Blonds the victory.

The Wingmen (Peter Avalon, JD Drake, Cezar Bononi & Ryan Nemeth) defeated Rohit Raju, Karam, Sotheara Chhun and Caleb Teninity

If nothing else, this match made me laugh.

The Wingmen all jumped the opposing team as the bell rang, clearing the ring. When The Wingmen went to celebrate, Raju and company led the charge and jumped them from behind before celebrating themselves.

Avalon and Raju eventually focused on the actual task at hand. Avalon wore him down in the corner, exchanging tags with Nemeth. The Wingmen spent a long time celebrating, allowing Chhun to get back into the match. Shortly after, all of The Wingmen hit their finishers on Chhun and pinned him for the victory.

Skye Blue defeated Ruthie Jay

I have high hopes for Blue in AEW, but this wasn’t the best display of her skills.

Blue did a great cartwheel fake out pump kick to start the match. Blue was slow in between offensive maneuvers, allowing Jay to have a moment of hope when she had Blue down in the corner. This didn’t last long though as Blue won shortly after with a flatliner that looked to land rough.

Nick Comoroto (w/ The Factory) defeated Lamar Diggs

Diggs actually came in with some powerful offense and had Comoroto backpedaling, but that momentum was halted quickly after Comoroto delivered a impressive standing suplex. Marshall, who was standing on the outside, delivered a cheap shot to Diggs as he was recovering.

Diggs had some crowd support when he was attempting a comeback, but Comoroto didn’t let it go far, pinning him after hitting a spinebuster.

10 (w/-1) defeated Ben Bishop

Bishop had a clear size advantage on 10 who quickly got frustrated after not being able to perform any of his power moves. Bishop took advantage of the frustration and nailed 10 with a side slam.

Bishop then hoisted up 10 for a power bomb, but it was reversed. 10, with the support of -1, bulldozed Bishop with a impressive spinebuster before following up with the full nelson submission that ended the match.

Fuego Del Sol defeated David Ali

Del Sol and Ali exchanged wrist control early on. Del Sol jumped through hoops to escape the hold, but it would cost him as Ali delivered a kick to the back.

Ali motioned through his “greatest hits” moveset, delivering a pull-up suplex while Del Sol was down in the corner. Ali got too cocky though as Del Sol made his comeback quickly and spiked his opponent with a tornado DDT for the pinfall victory.

Matt Sydal defeated Serpentico (w/ Luther)

Luther screamed at ringside which distracted Sydal and allowed an opening for Serpentico. Serpentico dumped Sydal to the outside, allowing Luther to drop the seasoned veteran on the barricade. Serpentico didn’t do much with Luther’s distractions though as Sydal turned the match around back in his favor with a series of meteoras.

Sydal stuck Serpentico with a roundhouse kick after “Snakeman” failed to hit a 450 splash. Sydal followed up with a lightning spiral which scored him the victory.

AEW Dark results: Anthony Bowens vs. Fuego Del Sol

This week’s matches were taped at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

Dark Order (John Silver & Alex Reynolds) defeated Ariya Daivari and Invictus Khash

Khash took a free shot at Silver when the bell rang, but it made no effect. Reynolds came in after helping Silver perform a double team move, but before Reynolds could make an impact, Khash dragged him down from the top rope with a handful of hair — leading to a small period of dominance from he and Daivari.

Silver eventually got the hot tag and delivered a sit-out power bomb to Daivari. Shortly after, Reynolds assisted Silver with some double team maneuvers before pinning Khash with an bridging German suplex.

QT Marshall (w/ The Factory) defeated Pat Brink

Brink surprisingly unloaded some great offense early on and had Marshall reeling. The match changed course when Brink was distracted by The Factory, leading to Marshall pushing him into a steel post.

Marshall worked on Brink very methodically and the match started to drag. Brink found himself in a position to win after he was able to nail a few clotheslines and a powerslam. After an unsuccessful pin attempt, Brink fell victim to Marshall’s diamond cutter.

Max Caster (w/ Anthony Bowens) defeated Cameron Stewart

One half of The Acclaimed dominated from the bell with Stewart getting very little offense in. There was one spot where Stewart had pushed Caster off the top rope and had a moment of hope, but that was put to bed after Caster delivered a brainbuster followed by a Mic Drop for the win.

Tony Nese defeated Carlie Bravo

This was a fun bout for what it was, mainly because of Bravo’s great facial expressions. Bravo also had some great crowd backing.

Nese tossed around Bravo early on, flexing in between moves. Bravo didn’t go down too easy and had a great fake out punch spot in the corner that disrupted the Nese’s focus. Nese had a hilarious spot a few seconds later where he was doing a bicycle exercise on Bravo who was hanging upside down from the turnbuckle.

Nese would go on to win shortly after with a running piledriver.

Emi Sakura defeated Angelica Risk

Sakura immediately threw Risk to the mat by her hair. While playing to the crowd, Sakura locked in a submission and mocked Risk which would come back to cost her momentarily. Risk did a hip toss in the corner with her spare seconds before Sakura took back control of the match, hitting the Queen’s Gambit for the three count.

2point0 (w/ Daniel Garcia) defeated Metro Brothers

2point0 dominated from the bell with the Metros getting no offense in at all. The duo hit Chris Metro with The Show to win the match in about twenty seconds.

MT Nakazawa defeated Joey Sweets

Nakazawa started by talking through his headset. Sweets took advantage of the distraction and struck him from behind, but Nakazawa recovered quickly. Nakazawa kept getting distracted with different tech equipment, but was still wrestling. After striking Sweets with a clipboard, Nakazawa hit a piledriver for the win.

Frankie Kazarian defeated Luke Sampson

Sampson tried to bull rush Kazarian early, but was met with a dropkick from the “Heavy Metal Rebel.” Sampson rolled to the outside to recover and when he returned, he delivered a chokeslam to Kazarian.

Kazarian was up in no time and would go on to make Sampson submit with a crossface chicken wing.

Jora Johl defeated Axel Rico

Johl delivered an onslaught of forearms early as the match spilled to the outside. Rico tried to fight back, but was the victim of a backbreaker on the apron courtesy of Johl. When the match ended up back in the ring, Johl delivered a fantastic pump kick to secure the win.

Dark Order (Alan “5” Angels & 10) defeated Chaos Project

This was a display of what both teams represent: high octane offense mixed with good comedy.

Serpentico flipped off Angels as the two started out. Angels tried to end the bout early with a backslide, but Luther pulled Serpentico out of the ring in an attempt to coach him up.

Angels tagged out to 10 which didn’t bode well for “Snakeman.” 10 threw Serpentico around with ease before he allowed Luther to enter the match for the first time. Angels came in and got powerslammed by Luther. He then instructed Serpentico to lift him up which didn’t end up working out.

The conclusion of the match came quickly after when 10 submitted Serpentico with the full nelson.

Anthony Bowens (w/ Max Caster) defeated Fuego Del Sol

Del Sol pushed Bowens of The Acclaimed in the corner when the bell rang and tried to put together a string of high speed offense. Bowens rolled outside in an attempt to recover, but Del Sol hit a torpedo off the second turnbuckle to take him out.

The match made its way back to the ring with Del Sol still firing off with great offense. After hitting a standing shooting star press, Del Sol scored a near fall.

Bowens found his second wave of momentum shortly after the kickout and slowed down Del Sol very quickly. After firing up with a few big moves, Bowens hit a reverse draping DDT to pick up the victory.

Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, Tony Nese set for 11-match AEW Dark

The Acclaimed’s Anthony Bowens and Max Caster will be in separate singles matches as part of an 11-match AEW Dark lineup Tuesday on YouTube.

The matches were recently filmed at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

Bowens will take on Fuego Del Sol while Caster will face Cameron Stewart. Bowens is coming off consecutive losses to Darby Allin, Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley while Caster is looking for his second straight win.

Tony Nese will return to action against Dark regular Carlie Bravo, gunning for his fifth straight win.

AEW Dark results: The Blade & Private Party vs. Dante Martin, Matt Sydal & Lee Moriarty

The matches for this special Thursday episode of AEW Dark were taped before the January 21st Rampage from the Entertainment and Sports Arena in Washington, DC.

Excalibur, Taz, and Mark Henry were on commentary.

Aaron Solo (w/ QT Marshall & Anthony Ogogo) defeated Sonny Kiss

Taz spent some time on commentary during the match talking about Marshall’s issues with Hook.

Kiss got the early advantage until Marshall grabbed his foot while he was coming off the ropes and Solo took advantage. Marshall also interfered in similar fashion a few times.

Sonny made a comeback and got a near fall off his leg drop/split move. He got another two count after a Cross Rhodes-esque move. Kiss then missed a moonsault and Solo hit a double underhook into a facebuster (similar to a Pedigree) for the win.

After the match, Excalibur spoke about the Factory’s Blake Li taking on Hook this Friday on Rampage.

Abadon defeated Gia Scott

Scott held her own early when they were exchanging strikes. After Abadon landed a head scissors and lariat, Scott battled back with a Samoan Drop. Abadon no sold it, sitting up zombie-style, and gave Scott a stunner and a DDT for the pin.

— Lee Johnson spoke about the “Who We Are” album to benefit the Bootsy Collins Foundation and his song “Fully Loaded.” Johnson also spoke about how his uncle who passed away was nicknamed “Shotgun” which is where “Big Shotty” comes from.

Powerhouse Hobbs (w/Ricky Starks) defeated Lee Johnson

Hobbs tried to attack before the bell, but Johnson saw him coming and countered. After the match spilled to the outside, Hobbs rammed Johnson head first into the post which Ricky Starks was really excited about.

That led to Hobbs going on offense, wearing Johnson down with power moves until Big Shotty made a comeback. He hit a few clotheslines, an enziguri and a vertical suplex on his bigger opponent. Hobbs then hit a spinebuster for a near fall. Shortly after, he picked his opponent up in the torture rack for the submission.

Dante Martin, Matt Sydal, & Lee Moriarty defeated AHFO (The Blade & Private Party)

This match was taped before Matt Hardy’s “erratic behavior” on Dynamite last night as while managing Isiah Kassidy, he left ringside and exited through the crowd.

On commentary, Taz spoke about Martin breaching their contract and how he is still quite upset with his lawyers about it.

The AHFO attacked before the bell and went on offense early. The babyfaces fought back, however, and at one point early on, they had three synchronized abdominal stretches on their opponents.

Eventually, the heels isolated Sydal and worked on him with quick tags in and out. Sydal later countered Gin and Juice and made a hot tag to Moriarty and the babyfaces went on offense for a bit.

All three of the AHFO spilled outside onto the entrance ramp and Martin dove on all three. He picked up Blade and sent him back into the ring, hit his Nosedive (double springboard moonsault), and got the pin for his team.

Four-match AEW Dark announced for Thursday

Here’s the lineup:

  • Abadon vs. Gia Scott

AEW Dark results: Wheeler Yuta vs. Aaron Solo, Lee Moriarty vs. Anthony Henry

This Tuesday’s AEW Dark was taped at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

Julia Hart defeated Kelsey Heather

Heather tried to control Hart’s arm early on, but Hart fought back with fiery strikes. Shortly after, Hart trapped Heather in a headlock with her legs, forcing her to submit.

Powerhouse Hobbs defeated Gus De La Vega

Hobbs clotheslined Vega in the corner as soon as the bell rang. Vega tried to escape from the path of destruction, but Hobbs positioned him on the top turnbuckle and beat on his chest. Shortly after, Hobbs submitted him with the Torture Rack.

Hobbs beat down Vega after the match until Dante Martin made the save and chased him off.

Gunn Club (Austin & Colten) defeated The Skulk (Adrian Alanis & Liam Gray)

Both Gunn brothers jumped Alanis and Gray as the bell rang. They took turns isolating Gray, mainly focusing on his back. Gray found a moment of hope when he was able to tag out to Alanis, but the move proved to be unsuccessful as Alanis was pinned after an assisted neckbreaker.

Mercedes Martinez defeated Queen Aminata

Martinez threw some few forearms early on which got Aminata stumbling. Martinez kept her offense up, delivering a half and half suplex followed by a spinebuster. Martinez won shortly after with a fisherman’s buster.

Anthony Ogogo (w/ QT Marshall & Nick Comoroto) defeated Tony Vincita

Ogogo beat down Vincita and talked trash to the crowd. Vincita found his moment in the short match to attempt a top rope dropkick, but he completely missed. Ogogo finished him shortly after with his pop-up knockout punch.

Lee Moriarty defeated Anthony Henry

Henry and Moriarty were evenly matched up early on, trading grappling maneuvers back and forth. Henry focused on Moriarty’s neck after doing a twist using his feet. Moriarty fought back valiantly, eventually finding a second wind and initiating his comeback.

After nailing a few kicks and slams, Moriarty fell back into dangerous territory with Henry applying a stretch muffler. Moriarty came close to submitting, but worked his way out. Shortly after, Henry fell victim to a Moriarty flatliner for the win.

Anna Jay (w/-1) defeated Kaci Lennox

Jay nailed Lennox with a variety of different kicks before locking in the Queenslayer submission which made Lennox submit quickly.

Fuego Del Sol defeated Serpentico (w/ Luther)

Del Sol nailed a kick that sent Serpentico reeling to the outside. When Del Sol went to dive on his opponent, Luther carried him out of the way and prevented it. This allowed Serpentico to regain his focus and piledrive Del Sol on the apron, followed by a senton from the top rope. All of that only got him a near fall.

Del Sol and Serpentico ended up on the outside of the ring where Del Sol performed a tornado DDT on the floor. He tossed Serpentico back in the ring shortly after and hit a double stomp on the neck which got him the win.

Wheeler Yuta defeated Aaron Solo (w/ QT Marshall)

Yuta went in with confidence and it translated immediately as he nailed Solo with a great standing dropkick. Yuta was in full control of the match until Marshall got involved — a move that allowed Solo to get back into the contest.

Solo slowly worked Yuta to the mat until the crowd got involved and willed him back into the match. Marshall kept trying to get involved but Yuta telegraphed it and shut it down rather quickly. After Solo missed a kick to the head, Yuta rolled him up for the surprise win.

After the match, Nick Comoroto ran down to the ring and helped Marshall and Solo beat down Yuta. Orange Cassidy made the save to end the show.
