The Rascalz are officially #AllElite and will be debuting in AEW soon.
The group’s debut was teased Wednesday on AEW Dynamite shortly after a Fightful Select report revealed that AEW had signed all four men — Zachary Wentz, Trey Miguel, Dezmond Xavier and Myron Reed — to contracts.
The report also stated that The Rascalz were backstage during Dynamite with their signing coming a week after former TNA wrestler Jake Something recently made his AEW return and signed a contract.
Fightful reported that all four men are under multi-year deals after their various TNA contracts expired. While TNA attempted to retain The Rascalz, AEW reportedly came in with a better offer.
Reed’s planned bout with Leon Slater on TNA’s AMC debut was pulled earlier this week. While Reed was said to be happy to work the committed date, the match was canceled due to WWE possibly requiring Slater for their European tour or due to the contract situation.
While Reed and Xavier were never under TNA contracts, Miguel and Wentz’s deals expired at the end of 2025. The report also claimed that there was at least one member of the group who was determined to leave TNA.
AEW officially teases The Rascalz arrival
Midway through Wednesday’s Dynamite, AEW teased The Rascalz’s arrival. Although the promotion did not mention a specific date, they instead went with “coming soon to AEW” while sharing a graphic.
Maybe the best wrestling TV show of the week was highlighted by an outstanding X Division championship match. Zachary Wentz finally gets the title shot he earned way back in September and he and Moose stole the show.
Elsewhere, Joe Hendry and the Hardys show that they are still the biggest stars in the company, Mike Santana makes his championship aspirations known, the war between Steve Maclin and Eric Young intensifies, there’s some stuff with Cody Deaner, and Maggie Lee and Leon Slater pick up some wins. We’ll explain it all on the Big Vinny V Show!
TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace will put her title on the line in an open challenge on tonight’s Impact — the fallout edition from last Friday’s Emergence.
Grace has held the title for over 230 days with 15 successful defenses to her credit. If Grace survives, she will put the title on the line in another open challenge Tuesday on WWE NXT.
After their win in an eight-man match at Emergence, The System will be on hand to kick off the show. Moose & JDC will then team up to take on Mike Santana & Joe Hendry.
New TNA X-Division Champion Zachary Wentz will also be in the house after he survived an Ultimate X match at Emergence to win the title. He is also coming off a victory over former partner Wes Lee at Sunday’s NXT No Mercy as the crossover between both companies continues.
KUSHIDA will face Laredo Kid while former World Champion Eric Young will battle Jake Something.
********** The System Kick Off This Week’s Show
The lights in the Impact Zone go out as Tom Hannifan welcomes us to this week’s show in Louisville, Kentucky. As advertised, The System theme hits. Out comes Moose, Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards, JDC, Alisha Edwards and Masha Slamovich.
They all head to the ring in their Mark Henry early WWE days U.S.A. jackets. Alisha is wearing a neck brace after suffering an injury at Emergence this past Friday. “Do you wanna know something,” Alisha begins as always with her raspy voice.
She says The System has something to say. Fans drown them out, Dominik Mysterio and Don Callis style, with loud boos as they try to talk. Eddie Edwards says The System does not fail. All they needed was a nice little reboot. He says it’s time to get back their championship gold.
Brian Myers says as your former tag-team champions, he and Eddie are contractually obligated for a rematch. Much like Moose, they will be cashing in that clause at TNA Victory Road 2024. They announce they will be challenging ABC for the tag-team titles at the upcoming special event.
JDC gets his turn on the microphone and immediately says, “Shut up, town!” He hands the microphone over to Moose, who tells everyone to shut up because the face of the franchise has something very important to say. He addresses Nic Nemeth. He says in two weeks, he has to face a guy he’s never beaten.
“Like a British lad once said, at Victory Road, I’ve got bad news for ya….” he says because you’re looking at the four-time TNA World Champion. Before we get to Victory Road, he’s got something more important to talk about. And that’s JDC.
He says everyone wants to know JDC’s relationship with The System. He says tonight JDC has a big night. Because if they win their match against Joe Hendry and Mike Santana, JDC will officially become a member of The System. If they lose, JDC is out and everybody in this building knows what The System does to outsiders.
Alisha gets another turn on the mic. She says everybody is asking for their rematches. She’s wicked smart and she knows her right as a champion. She does not have to defend her title more than once every 30 days. She is also under the concussion protocol. Therefore, she can find a suitable replacement if her doctor does not clear her to wrestle.
The theme for Spitfire plays and out comes Dani Luna and Jody Threat. They have a microphone and tell Alisha it was unfortunate what happened to her at Emergence. Alisha tells them MAlisha already beat them once, so they can take their stupid faces and go back to whatever dive bar they crawled out of.
They reveal they spoke with Santino and got another Knockouts tag title shot at Victory Road. It’s do-or-die though, because if Spitfire loses, they must break up as a team. Alisha says they’re actually doing her a favor because she’ll never have to see their stupid faces again. They’re on.
Gia Miller Interviews Eric Young
Backstage, Gia Miller introduces her guest at this time, Eric Young. She asks him how he’s feeling after his battle with Steve Maclin at TNA Emergence. He says he got one over on him, but he’s a guy he respects. He says he has his back no matter what. He is asked about his match tonight with Jake Something. Young says they have history and he’s a bad dude. He’s gonna represent this company and win tonight.
Tom Hannifan Gives Update On JBL At TNA Emergence
We head to a commercial break after the Young interview. When the show returns, footage is shown of JBL’s surprise appearance at the end of TNA Emergence, where he whispered something into Nic Nemeth’s ear after Nemeth retained the TNA World Championship in the Iron Man main event against Josh Alexander. Hannifan says JBL left the building as soon as the show ended and Nemeth has yet to reveal what JBL said to him.
KUSHIDA and Laredo Kid ends in No Contest
The theme for KUSHIDA plays and out he comes in his Marty McFly gear to kick off things on this week’s show inside the squared circle. His opponent in what should be a high-flying wrestling fans dream match, Laredo Kid, heads out next.
After the bell sounds, KUSHIDA immediately isolates the arm of Kid, softening him up for the Hoover Board Lock. The action spills out to the floor and upon returning inside the ring, things are broken up before they can get fully going, as Josh Alexander randomly comes out and attacks.
Josh Alexander defeated KUSHIDA
As Alexander goes to leave, KUSHIDA gets on the microphone at ringside and demands a fight right now between he and “The Walking Weapon.” He charges at Alexander and the brawl continues, as Hannifan informs us on commentary that Santino Marella has made this impromptu bout official.
The two fight their way back into the ring and the bell sounds to get it started. As they get going, the show heads into a mid-match commercial time out. When the show returns, we see KUSHIDA mat wrestling with Alexander.
KUSHIDA gets Alexander in his own ankle lock submission. He hits a German suplex and then stomps on the fingers of Alexander. He lands a big follow-up kick for a two-count. KUSHIDA looks to slap on a straight arm-bar, but Alexander defends.
On the floor, KUSHIDA looks to secure his Hoover Board Lock, but Alexander avoids it and takes over on offense. Back in the ring, Alexander uses his entrance shirt as a weapon. The referee gets rid of it as “The Walking Weapon” proceeds to chop the hell out of KUSHIDA. Moments later, Alexander hits the C4 Spike for the win.
Joe Hendry Has A Message For Josh Alexander
The cameras follow KUSHIDA backstage as he is helped by a referee. He seems to have a neck or throat injury and Joe Hendry checks on him. Josh Alexander walks through the curtain and Hendry gets in his face about this, and for costing him the TNA World Championship at TNA Slammiversary. He assures him he’ll never forget that and he will make him pay. Jordynne Grace (c) defeated Karmen Petrovic in an open challenge to retain the TNA Knockouts Championship
Back inside the Impact Zone, the theme for Jordynne Grace hits and out comes the TNA Knockouts Champion. “The Juggernaut” settles in the ring as Hannifan promotes her title defense coming up in WWE NXT.
We await the result of who will answer her open challenge tonight first, however. It’s time to see who is assumed to be the loser, with TNA already promoting Grace’s upcoming title defense in NXT like it’s a foregone conclusion.
“Miss NXT” Arianna Grace comes out and says she knows everyone wishes it were her, but it’s not. She says she’s the liaison between TNA and NXT. She gets pretend emotional introducing her good friend, Karmen Petrovic.
The fellow NXT Superstar comes out with her katana sword in-hand to answer Grace’s challenge. The bell sounds and the two shake hands. Karmen throws out some kicks as Hannifan and Rehwoldt sing her praises for her martial arts background.
Rosemary is shown in the rafters watching on, as the commentators promote her involvement in NXT as of late as well. Grace hits a big spinebuster for a close two-count. After Petrovic kicks out, the show heads into a mid-match commercial break as the action continues.
When the show returns, we see footage of Petrovic getting a close two-count during the break. She blasts Grace with a wide variety of kicks as Rosemary is once again shown watching on from high above. Grace begins no-selling the kicks and Hulk’ing up.
All that’s missing was the standing seizure and dramatic “YOU!” finger-point. She takes over and hits her finisher for the win to retain. When the match ends, the lights go out. When they come back on, Grace is laid out with a pillow next to her. Rosemary is shown laughing in the rafters. Wendy Choo?
ABC, First Class To Run It Back Next Week
ABC are cutting a colorful pre-taped vignette when it is interrupted live by First Class duo AJ Francis and KC Navarro. They tell them they shouldn’t be worried about The System at Victory Road as much as they should be worried about First Class right now. Ace Austin and Chris Bey try to explain tag-team rules to them while the four reminisce about their recent match. They set up a bout for next week’s show.
Xia Zhao Is Coming Soon To TNA
After the ABC and First Class segment, the show heads into another commercial break. When the show returns, a “Coming soon” vignette for Xia Zhao, formerly known as Xia Li in WWE airs.
Zachary Wentz & “Speedball” Mike Bailey defeated The Good Hands
Inside the Impact Zone, new TNA X-Division Champion Zachary Wentz comes to the ring. He talks about thinking his career was over not too long ago. He says he worked his ass off and became TNA X-Division Champion.
“Speedball” Mike Bailey comes out and congratulates Wentz on winning the title but says he’s invoking his rematch clause for the X-Division Championship at Victory Road. The Good Hands come out and say Jason Hotch was robbed at Emergence. John Skyler and Jason Hotch attack Bailey and Wentz.
We learn via the ring announcer per Santino Marella that this impromptu tag-team match is now official. Bailey and Wentz fight back and lay out Skyler and Hotch. In the ring, Bailey and Hotch start things off as the legal two men in the ring. Skyler tags in and takes over on offense.
Wentz tags in and hits his finisher to pick up the win for his team. Bailey hands him the X-Division Championship after their win as Hannifan and Rehwoldt promote their upcoming showdown with the title on-the-line at Victory Road.
Steph De Lander Confronts Matt Cardona
Backstage, Steph De Lander is shown calming PCO down. She wants to confront Matt Cardona by herself. The show heads to another commercial. When the show returns, footage airs to show the connection between Rosemary and NXT’s Wendy Choo. It is alluded that was the pillow earlier in the Jordynne Grace beatdown.
A video package airs with Rosemary acting like, well, Rosemary, while referencing Choo and questioning if she can trust her. Back inside the Impact Zone, De Lander makes her way to the ring. She brings up Cardona ruining her wedding and being involved in her business lately.
De Lander demands Cardona come out to the ring. Cardona’s theme hits and out he comes. He reminds De Lander of a contract they each signed. The date was March 13, 2023, the day Cardona found her in Australia and plucked her from obscurity.
He promised to change her life and give her a career. He says that’s exactly what he did. He brought her to the U.S. and got her booked on the hottest indy shows in the business. He got her an action figure, magazine covers and a job in TNA. He paid for her tickets and hotels.
He held up his end up the contract, now it’s her turn to do the same. She’s his property and he owns her. De Lander says it’s true but she worked hard and had good matches. She would’ve been a star with or without him and this contract means nothing to her. He gets in her face until she cries and PCO comes out to run him off. The show heads into another commercial break.
The Hardys Set To Battle The System Next Week
When the show returns, a fired up Matt Hardy talks while Jeff Hardy stands next to him with cool face paint on. Matt talks about how everyone says The Hardys were great. They were fans’ childhoods. He says it’s not were. It’s they are. They are great. They will prove it next week against The System duo of Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards. By beating them, they claim they’ll be back in the mix to win the TNA World Tag-Team Championships and prove they still are great. The greatest of all-time.
Eric Young defeated Jake Something
Inside the Impact Zone, Eric Young makes his cool entrance to the ring for our next match of the evening. After he settles inside the squared circle, his theme dies down. Jake Something makes his way out as his opponent, the bell sounds and this one gets off-and-running.
Something immediately goes to work on Young in the corner of the ring, driving his shoulder into the mid-section of the TNA veteran repeatedly. Something hits a big power bomb for a close two-count. He gets frustrated at his inability to finish off Young.
Young fights back with a discus lariat. He looks for a death valley driver and connects with it on the big man for a close two-count of his own. He calls for the elbow drop and heads to the top, but Something stops him. Young hits a piledriver for the win.
After the match, Young tries to show respect but Something turns on him and Donkey Kong’s him into the mat. He continues to beat him down until Steve Maclin runs out to chase him off and make the save for the man he just battled this past Friday at Emergence.
Moose & JDC defeated Joe Hendry & Mike Santana
It’s main event time!
But first, we head backstage where Gia Miller catches up with Joe Hendry as he is preparing to head to the ring for our final match of the evening. He says you can’t deny the momentum he is riding and asks her to excuse him because he’s got a TNA World Championship to continue to chasing.
The show heads into a quick pre-match commercial break, as the main event with Joe Hendry & Mike Santana battling The System duo Moose and JDC is up next. If The System lose, JDC will be an outsider and face outsider consequences. If they win, JDC is officially part of The System.
When the show returns, the signing of Heather Reckless is announced. Her debut is set for next week against Gisele Shaw. After that, Gia Miller is joined backstage by Reckless for her debut interview. She says she’s excited to be here and says she’s here to show the world and the Knockouts division why her name is Heather Reckless.
Ash By Elegance comes in with George Iceman to interrupt her. Gisele Shaw comes in and ends up slapping her. Steve Maclin vs. Hammerstone is also announced for next week’s show. Inside the Impact Zone, the lights go out and The System make their way out for the tag-team headliner.
Out next is Joe Hendry. He settles in the ring to a rock star reception and fans singing along with his catchy-ass “I Believe In Joe Hendry” theme. He gets on the mic and says he knows how this goes. He riles the crowd up, gets them to wave their hands, and then he turns around and gets attacked.
He tells The System duo of Moose and JDC that they should turn around instead. They do and are met with a double clothesline by Mike Santana, who was in the ring behind them. As the four brawl, we see Josh Alexander walking down the ramp without any music.
“The Walking Weapon” settles in on special guest commentary alongside Hannifan and Rehwoldt as Hendry and Santana kick things off for their respective teams. The show heads into a quick mid-match commercial break as the main event of the evening continues.
When the show returns, Hendry is in the middle of hitting a big fall-away slam on Moose. He follows up with one on Santana but then walks into a pump kick from Moose. Hendry fights back and hoists Moose up for his stalled suplex as Alexander bickers with Hannifan while Rehwoldt kisses his butt on commentary.
Alisha Edwards provides a distraction from ringside, which allows Moose and JDC to take over and beat down Hendry. Moose works Hendry over on the floor a bit and then rolls him back inside the ring, where he continues to take it to him. Hendry fights back with a suplex and tags in Santana.
Santana hits the Rolling Buck 50 on Moose and then launches Santana out to him on the floor. Alexander tells Hendry at ringside to focus on the match and not him. As soon as he turns to do exactly that, Alexander pops up from the commentary desk and low-blows Hendry.
Santana splashes onto him from the ring for a big pop. Back in the ring, Moose hits a big spear and makes the cover on Santana to give The System duo the win. With the win, JDC is now officially a member of The System.
Nic Nemeth Sends A Message To Moose
Nic Nemeth is shown watching on his smart phone. “Not too bad Moose. Not too bad.” He congratulates them on “The System Reboot” catchphrase and tells Moose all he had to do was challenge him. He wanted to fight the very best since day one, that’s why he kicked Moose’s teeth down his throat on day one. He says now that he’s the champion, all he had to do was look him in the eye.
He says instead he took the child’s way out. He says it’s been killing him for months that he didn’t get to pin the man he thinks is the best to win the title. He vows to look him in the eyes and do exactly that at Victory Road. That’s how this week’s show wraps up and goes off the air. Thanks for joining us, and don’t forget to follow me on Twitter/X.
Next Week: * The Hardys vs. Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards * ABC (c) vs. First Class (TNA Tag-Team Titles) * Heather Reckless vs. Gisele Shaw * Steve Maclin vs. Hammerstone
Ethan Page will defend the NXT Championship against TNA’s Joe Hendry on tonight’s WWE NXT No Mercy from Denver, Colorado, with former champion Trick Williams as special guest referee.
This is Hendry’s first shot at the NXT title while Page is looking for his third title defense.
NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez will defend against Jaida Parker who won a gauntlet eliminator match to earn the shot.
Just two weeks after winning the titles, NXT Tag Team Champions Chase U (Andre Chase & Ridge Holland) will defend against former champions Axiom & Nathan Frazer in a rematch.
NXT North American Champion Oba Femi will look to continue his impressive run as titleholder as he defends against Tony D’Angelo, while NXT Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan will defend against Wendy Choo.
Fresh off his win for the TNA X-Division Championship at Friday’s Emergence, Zachary Wentz will cross the line into NXT to battle former partner turned enemy Wes Lee.
Nathan Frazer & Axiom defeated Chase U (Andre Chase & Ridge Holland) for the NXT Tag Team titles
Chase U worked as subtle heel to start with Chase landing a knee to the stomach and Vic Joseph bringing up that if you played the game, that would have been a kitchen sink. Frazer and Ridge had a killer David vs. Goliath vibe with Frazer flipping to evade and Holland taking him down with a delayed butterfly suplex for 2. Superkick party from Axiom and Frazer led to a standing SSP to Chase by Frazer to get 2.
Holland ran wild on Frazer with a double overhook suplex, an overhead belly to belly and a Yokosuka cutter for 2. Axiom came in and ate a powerslam and diving headbutt before Frazer saved at 2.5. Chase tagged in and hit a Spanish Fly and snap tiger driver for 2.5 on Axiom. Holland wanted a double chokeslam on the floor, but ate offense and double dives to avoid that. Chase tagged in and ate an Axiom frog splash and a Frazer springboard 450 for 2!
Frazer’s superkick is avoided by Chase, but it’s turned into a gamenguri to weaken Chase for a superplex and the brainbuster/Golden Ratio hit for 2.5. Golden Ratio missed Chase and hit Frazer before a Holland Clothesline from Hell and powerbomb/backstabber hit for 2.9! An Axiom flash cradle got 2 before a Spanish Fly from Axiom and Phoenix Splash from Frazer win it! Post-match saw Holland beat up Chase U with Thea Hail pleading for him to stop – and she is perfect in this role given how he looks three times her size. Holland stared at his hands after putting Chase into the announce table with the Redeemer/Rampage.
Pete Dunne hype video sets up him starting in wrestling at 12 and being in the business for 18 years and overcoming everything, including being beaten up on a bus by a group of people who didn’t help him. Trick’s side of it focuses on his hardships and like Dunne, blended his real-life toughness with what his character has gone through. The history of Wes Lee and Zachary Wentz is recapped, largely focusing on their WWE history and not getting into Wentz’s release two years ago.
Zachary Wentz defeated Wes Lee
It started off fast with each man countering everything else because they knew each other so well. Wentz got an edge off a dropdown opening the door for a sliding dropkick. Lee swept the leg on the apron and landed some soft kicks on the floor against the LED apron. Wentz landed a handspring knee and got a nice ovation from the crowd and a TNA chant. A Wentz swanton got 2 before a Lee meteora was turned into a mid-ring Boston Crab! Cardiac kick hit for 2 on Wentz before a blockbuster DDT hit and setup some floor combat.
Wentz was sent into the steps, but avoided a meteora to send Lee into and over the steps. A Wes Lee Black Mess sent Wentz into the announce table and through it, so Wes just did the Swerve Stomp to the floor anyway. Hopefully his ankles wind up okay. Trey Miguel showed up at ringside to open the door for a Destroyer by Wentz off the apron to the floor! UFO cutter hit for the win!
Fatal Influence hype video aired after Choo vs. Jordan is advertised. Oba Femi hype video airs before Hank and Tank appear with an Instagram Live video recapping the show so far.
NXT Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan defeated Wendy Choo to retain
Jordan got a quick 2 count off a Tiger Mask feint into a schoolgirl. Jordan landed a tornillo to the floor and landed right on her knees hard. A double-backflip moonsault got 2 for Jordan. Choo locked her in a tree of woe on the apron for a dropkick. Sunset flip into the buckle for Choo leads to a basement flatliner. The crowd is beyond dead here – to the point where the PC’s single ceiling fan made more noise than the fans are here. Jordan landed a Pele kick and a sitout DDT for 2.
Choo landed a power bomb and full nelson slam for 2. They go up top for a superplex in theory before they each just fall off and Choo locked on the cobra clutch. Jordan doesn’t quite fire up, but responds to avoid losing and landed a frog splash and split-leggedmoonsault to win to no reaction. This was a scary match crowd reaction-wise. After the match, Tatum Paxley jumped Wendy Choo and locked on the dragon sleeper to “stunned silence” according to Vic Joseph – so now he brings up how quiet the fans were.
-Jaida Parker hype video airs and we see Thea Hail leave with Andre Chase in an ambulance. Backstage, Ridge Holland offered no explanation for what he did. In a strange move given how many video packages have aired, Oba Femi vs. D’Angelo got none to actually build it up – but just the one to showcase Femi with Booker saying that Oba Femi passes the airport test.
NXT North American Champion Oba Femi defeated Tony D’Angelo to retain
Collar and elbow to start with Femi turning it into a headlock and then sending the Don down with a tackle. D’Angelo hits a Cactus Jack-style clothesline sending Femi and himself to the floor before landing a flying forearm mid-ring. Femi snap suplexed him down for 2 before a Bob Roop-style shoulderbreaker got 2.5. Femi boxed the ears with D’Angelo going for a belly to belly before they work to the floor for an apron DDT from D’Angelo.
Femi recovered and landed an overhead belly to belly before a Ken Shamrock-style standing side belly to belly got 2. They go back and forth on forearms before D’Angelo landed a powerslam and an electric chair drop got 2. D’Angelo got 2 off a spear, but ate a tossing back suplex and a Cactus clothesline from Femi. Femi hit the pop-up powerbomb for 2.9! D’Angelo hit a Ron Simmons-style spinebuster, but couldn’t follow up. Femi landed a powerbomb and then rolled him into a Batista bomb to win it. This was one of D’Angelo’s best singles matches yet and showed a powerhouse side that is rarely-seen while Femi sold more than usual and looked good doing so – an excellent showcase for both men who saw their stocks rise here.
Backstage, Trick Williams told Ethan Page to abide by his rules or he’ll whoop that Trick. Backstage, Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz chat and Wentz says he’s got one brother left and they want the new tag champs. Roxanne Perez vs. Jaida Parker is hyped up once again before Parker gets the now-traditional one-shot big entrance.
NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez defeated Jaida Parker to retain
Parker and Perez got into a game of one upsmanship with escaping ground moves – with Perez flipping out of a headscissor before returning the slap from the TV interview. Perez dove to the floor and almost ate a DVD on the floor before escaping and slamming Parker’s injured ribs into the steps and then arm-trapping her before stomping her ribs into the steps again. Perez brought her in for a trio of stomps to the stomach. Roxanne reminds me a lot of a female Bret Hart here – using every part of the environment to logically take advantage of an opportunity.
A kneeling abdominal stretch keeps the edge going for Perez. The top rope tear drop that worked against Parker earlier and opened the door for Perez’s advantage finally paid off and got 2 for Parker. Parker hit a slick inverted suplex, but Perez locked on the crossface before turning it into a Rings of Saturn with elbows to the ribs before Parker powered up and Samoan dropped her. Sole butt hit for Perez but Pop Rocks is avoided and sends her to the floor where Parker missed a hip attack through the timekeeper’s barricade. Pop Rocks on the fallen barricade on the floor leads to another in the ring and a title retention for The Prodigy. Match of the Night so far.
Giulia then walked out to stare down Roxanne and boy, does she just fit in right away from second one. That will probably be the Halloween Havoc women’s title match.
-Ava announces that Hank and Tank, Gallus and the Rascalz fight Tuesday for a no. 1 contender’s tag title triple threat and the winner of the NXT Title match will have an NXT CW show debut title match. Trick came out for the main event and Booker T was on fire for this and for anything involving Roxanne. Joe Hendry went from working any job he could during the pandemic-era of ROH to make ends meet to now main eventing a WWE PLE.
NXT Champion Ethan Page defeated Joe Hendry to retain
Hendry kipped up after a headlock takeover from Page as “We Believe” chants break out. Hendry walked around with Page in a slam position before delivering a suplex for 2. Page got a front choke that Hendry turned into another suplex for 2. Page wanted a superplex, but it’s almost turned into an avalanche Standing Ovation before Page turned that into an avalanche powerslam for 2.5. Hendry hit a superplex and an Air Sabut to the floor.
Page recovers with an Ego’s Edge on the floor. Hendry landed an Ego’s Edge mid-ring for 2.5! Hendry got a fallaway slam and a huge “We Believe” chant for stomping his foot before hitting the Standing Ovation, but Page got his foot under the rope to break the count. Page shoved Hendry into Trick and hit a Standing Ovation and got 2.5 with a replacement ref counting. Page hit a DDT on the belt before Trick slid in to prevent the new ref from counting three. Page hit a low blow and a standing Ego’s Edge ala Hernandez’s Border Toss to win it.
Pete Dunne jumped Trick on the floor and landed the Bitter End on the floor to further cement their match for Tuesday.
Former WWE star JBL made his TNA Wrestling debut on Friday’s TNA Emergence, continuing a recent storyline of him appearing at events as a surprise.
Following TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth’s successful title defense over Josh Alexander in the 60-minute Iron Man match main event, JBL came out from the back to eye down Nemeth, whisper something to him in the ring, and then leave.
It was a scene reminiscent of AAA Triplemania two weeks ago when he accompanied Nemeth to the ring for his Mega title defense against Alberto El Patron. He later joined the new heel faction of Konnan, Patron and Dorian Roldan, shaking Patron’s hand.
Last weekend, he made his GCW debut by taking out Effy in a four-way ladder match for the undisputed GCW title, paving the way for Mance Warner to climb a ladder to win the title.

Alisha Edwards is reportedly ok after being legitimately knocked out during a women’s trios match.
In the opening moments of a bout featuring Edwards, Masha Slamovich & Ash by Elegance against Jordynne Grace, Dani Luna & Jody Threat, the heels were on the floor with Grace, Luna and Threat in the ring. Grace threw Threat and then Luna onto the heels at which point Edwards got knocked out. Grace prepared to dive onto Edwards, but stopped as no one was there to catch her. Edwards didn’t get up afterward as the other women tried to help her up without knowing she was unconscious.
Prayers and speedy recovery to Alisha Edwards who was legitimately knocked out during the six women tag match at #TNAEmergence 🙏
Tommy Dreamer had to carry her to the back. Jordynne Grace & Spitfire got the W
Medical personnel tended to Edwards leading to Tommy Dreamer eventually coming out and carrying her back. Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp later posted on X that Edwards “seemed to be handling things okay backstage.”
Grace posted this on X after the match:
When we have live events, streaming in front of thousands of people, you want everything to go perfect.
Sometimes that doesn’t happen, and it’s no one’s fault. Freak accidents happen.
The Rascalz’s Zachary Wentz is the new TNA X-Division Champion after winning the title during the night’s Ultimate X match.
Wentz was battling with incumbent titleholder Mike Bailey in the five-man bout, and the two were hanging by their legs and trading shots in trying to get the belt to win the match. Wentz knocked Bailey off and unhooked the belt to win the bout.
It’s Wentz’s first singles title in TNA. He will now face Wes Lee at Sunday’s WWE NXT No Mercy.
EXCLUSIVE: @ZacharyWentz is the NEW X Division Champion!
Wes Lee stunned the NXT audience at the end of Tuesday’s show by turning on longtime friends Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel after MSK lost their NXT Tag Team title match against Nathan Frazer and Axiom, with Lee taking the pinfall.
After the match, Miguel and Wentz helped Lee to his feet and consoled him. Lee then superkicked Miguel to the shock of the audience. When Wentz asked what he was doing, Lee responded by kicking Wentz in the nether regions. Lee yelled at Wentz that he “left him alone” as he assaulted and kicked Wentz to the outside.
As Miguel tried to recover, Lee threw him into a nearby barricade. With Wentz propped up against the steel steps, Lee hit him with a double running knee strike to close off the show.
Following his loss to Oba Femi at Heatwave last month, Lee was considering his future when TNA stars Wentz and Miguel arrived. They ended up reuniting as a trio and earned a title match after defeating Axiom, Je’Von Evans, and Nathan Frazer on last week’s NXT.
Former Impact World Tag Team Champions Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz have re-signed with TNA, the company announced during Thursday’s Impact Wrestling episode.
Miguel, Wentz, and Myron Reed make up the current iteration of The Rascalz, a team that began as Dezmond Xavier & Wentz on the independent scene. Miguel & Reed would join the group on the indies and again later in Impact.
Wentz & Xavier would later join WWE NXT as MSK under the names Nash Carter & Wes Lee. Lee remains under contract to WWE.
Miguel & Wentz join Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers in prominent TNA re-signings in recent weeks, and the company has also announced the signings of Trent Seven, KUSHIDA, & Dani Luna this month as the company gears up for its return to the TNA name in 2024. Jade Chung has also been announced as the promotion’s new ring announcer.
TNA president Scott D’Amore has also hyped a debut of “one of the biggest signings in company history” for the Hard to Kill pay-per-view set for January 13.
The couple announced the news via social media on Tuesday. Yesterday, Dolin posted a video of the couple on a Disney Cruise and revealed that Wentz proposed during the trip.

And for me it’s filled with nostalgia, warm fuzzies and family memories for generations and I have been lucky enough to find a guy who is the exact same way. It was the most amazing weekend of my life.
I have been through a lot of heartache and so has @ZacharyWentz over the years. With each other we found peace, a best friend, we found home. And of course, he popped the question on the first night at The Rose. (Very fitting)
There’s so much I could say, but the bottom line is my heart is so full, I couldn’t have asked for a better human. Now it’s time to take on the world because “Adventure is out there!” Stay tuned for part two and three. Happy Halloween!

Both Wentz and Dolin had the week off from their respective promotions. Dolin lost to Blair Davenport in a Lights Out match at Halloween Havoc night one last week and Wentz took part in Impact Wrestling’s Chicago TV tapings last weekend but did not travel with the promotion for its UK Invasion tour.
An opportunity to enter the multi-team Tag Team title match at this month’s Slammiversary will be featured on next Thursday’s Impact on AXS TV — the go-home show for next Saturday’s pay-per-view.
The returning Zachary Wentz of The Rascalz will take on Chris Bey, one half of the tag champions with Ace Austin. If Wentz can pick up the win, he and Trey Miguel will enter the fray at Slammiversary, joining Sami Callihan & Rich Swann, Brian Myers & Moose, and Subculture (Flash Morgan Webster & Mark Andrews) and making the four-way title match a five-way.
After several years away, Zachary Wentz of The Rascalz has returned to Impact Wrestling.
During Chris Sabin’s X-Division title match against Trey Miguel Thursday, Sabin was aiming to finish him off with his Cradle Shock finisher when Wentz hit the ring and cause a DQ. The two continued to beat down Sabin until Alex Shelley ran out to make the save.
The two later did a backstage promo that they were back and were here to take what’s theirs.
Wentz had been gone from Impact since November 2020. Known as Nash Carter in WWE NXT, the former NXT Tag Team Champion was released in 2022 after past photos of him dressed as Adolf Hitler emerged. After apologizing, he eventually returned to the indies.

Impact announced two matches for next Thursday’s show with more to come.
In the other, Frankie Kazarian will do battle with Eddie Edwards. The two wrestled for the first time at Against All Odds with Kazarian picking up the victory. After teaming up last week against Bully Ray & Steve Maclin, with disastrous results, Edwards suggested this week that they were better off as opponents instead.
Zachary Wentz (former NXT Tag Team Champion Nash Carter) has issued his first comments since being released by WWE.
Wentz (real name Zachary Green) was released by WWE this April following social media posts made by his estranged wife Kimber Lee (Kimberly Green). Lee alleged that Wentz hit her so hard last year that he split her lip open, and she also tweeted a photo of Wentz impersonating Adolf Hitler with his mustache shaved and giving a Nazi salute.
Wentz was kept on NXT television after the abuse allegation but was released from his contract after the Hitler photo surfaced. Wentz was one-half of the NXT Tag Team Champions at the time of his release.
In a statement posted on his Twitter account on Monday night, the 28-year-old Wentz apologized for the photo and wrote that he’s ashamed of his behavior.
“This picture was taken in 2015, a time where I was uneducated on the topic and therefore didn’t understand the magnitude of how hurtful it was,” Wentz wrote. “In 2020 someone was trying to extort me by threatening to post it on social media. I sent it to my wife to discuss the situation. Apparently, she kept it and then decided in retaliation for the filing of the divorce to post it to social media. Regardless how the photograph came to light, there is still no excuse for my actions.”
Wentz’s full statement is available below:
A statement by Zachary Green.
No words can truly describe how ashamed and apologetic I am for my conduct in the photograph. There is no excuse for such behavior and I take full responsibility for my actions and ask for forgiveness. This picture was taken in 2015, a time where I was uneducated on the topic and therefore didn’t understand the magnitude of how hurtful it was. In 2020 someone was trying to extort me by threatening to post it on social media. I sent it to my wife to discuss the situation. Apparently, she kept it and then decided in retaliation for the filing of the divorce to post it to social media. Regardless how the photograph came to light, there is still no excuse for my actions.
Over the past month I have taken time to reflect on my conduct to which I express my utmost remorse and regret. I have spent time off social media to refresh and re-educate myself about of the horrors of the Holocaust. I truly do hope that this situation will teach and bring awareness to the horrific tragedy that took place so that something like this will never happen again. I can assure you that this is not who I am or what I represent as a human being, and I feel it is never too late to educate and better yourself.
If you are ever in the Orlando/Maitland area, take some time to visit the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida where you can learn about the history and depth of what took place. It was an incredibly eye-opening, and impactful experience that teaches the importance of this history.
Wentz is returning to the ring at a show for Circle 6 & No Peace Underground in Orlando, Florida this Saturday.
Nash Carter has been announced for Circle 6 No Peace Underground.
The event will take place May 21 from Orlando. It will be his first booking since being released from WWE on April 6. He will once again be wrestling under the name Zachary Wentz.
Carter was released from WWE following allegations by his wife, Kimber Lee. She alleges that Carter was physically abusive to her and also tweeted a photo of him impersonating Adolf Hitler while giving a Nazi salute.
Carter’s last match in WWE before being released was at NXT Stand & Deliver on April 2 from the American Airlines Center in Dallas. Along with his partner, Wes Lee, they won a triple threat match to win the NXT Tag Team Championships on the show.
Prior to signing with WWE, Carter was one third of the Rascalz in Impact Wrestling. He also won tag team championships in PWG and CZW while teaming with Lee (FKA Dezmond Xavier).
The team formerly known as The Rascalz made their debut on NXT tonight and advanced to the next round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
In their first match for NXT, Dezmond Xavier & Zachary Wentz defeated Isaiah “Swerve” Scott & Jake Atlas in the first round of the Dusty Classic tonight. Xavier & Wentz have also gotten new in-ring names. They’re using the name MSK as a team, Xavier is now going by the name Wes Lee, and Wentz is now Nash Carter.
MSK will face either Killian Dain & Drake Maverick or Curt Stallion & August Grey in the second round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
MSK’s old tag team name was referenced on commentary during tonight’s match. Vic Joseph said these rascals are high flying and exciting.
It was announced last month that Xavier & Wentz had signed with WWE and reported to the WWE Performance Center. Trey Miguel, who was also part of The Rascalz, hasn’t signed with WWE.
The Rascalz’s farewell to Impact Wrestling aired in November, with Rich Swann & Miguel defeating Xavier & Wentz.
With PWG not running any shows in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Xavier & Wentz never lost the PWG Tag Team titles.
Two members of The Rascalz have signed with WWE and been introduced as part of the latest class of Performance Center recruits.
WWE unveiled their latest group of signees today, confirming that The Rascalz’s Dezmond Xavier & Zachary Wentz have signed with the company. Their farewell match for Impact Wrestling aired two weeks ago and featured Wentz & Xavier losing to Trey Miguel & Rich Swann.
Xavier & Wentz are the current PWG Tag Team Champions and have held the titles since April 2018. PWG is currently on hiatus from running shows due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Alex Zayne, Jiro “Ikemen” Kuroshio, and Rust Taylor have also signed with WWE, along with former college basketball and WNBA player Anriel Howard. WWE’s full announcement is available below:
The latest class of recruits has reported for training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fla. The group brings a wide array of experience to the WWE PC, including independent and international wrestling experience as well as in professional sports.
Deveon Everheart Aiken, better known to fans as Dezmond Xavier, brings a dazzling array of aerial offense to the PC. Aiken, a nine-year-veteran of the squared circle, has competed for promotions including Combat Zone Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and Impact Wrestling.
Zachary Green, aka Zachary Wentz, is a frequent tag team partner of Aiken’s. The 26-year-old Ohio native is also a former MMA fighter.
Alex Brandenburg competed under the name Alex Zayne on the independent scene. The Kentucky native has made a name for himself in promotions like Game Changer Wrestling, Black Label Pro and Ring of Honor during his 15-year career.
Sojiru “Ikemen” Higuchi is a 26-year-old wrestler from Japan who was trained by former United States and WWE Tag Team Champion Tajiri, and he has competed for Wrestle-1 and All-Japan Pro Wrestling.
Twenty-three-year-old Georgia native Anriel Howard played college basketball at Mississippi State and Texas A&M. She was selected in the 2019 WNBA Draft, and played professionally for the Seattle Storm.
Russ Taylor of Phelan, Calif. brings plenty of global experience to the WWE PC. Taylor has competed for wXw in Germany, as well as in Japan and across the United States.
Zayne and Taylor have also wrestled for NJPW of America. Taylor was an entrant in ROH’s Pure title tournament this year, losing to Tracy Williams in the first round.
Impact Wrestling returns for the fallout of Turning Point, where two championships changed hands and Eric Young introduced his new reinforcer — Joe Doering.
The opening video was a recap of Purrazzo regaining the Knockouts title from Su Yung, Rohit Raju retaining the X Division title from Cousin Jake, Joe Doering’s debut, the Good Brothers winning the Impact tag team championships from The North, and Rich Swann’s successful title defense against Sami Callihan.
Moose defeated Willie Mack in a No DQ match
This is a rematch from Turning Point, where Moose beat up Willie Mack. This, however, is a no DQ match. These two have been feuding since Moose started to antagonize the Impact World Champion Rich Swann, and Mack made a stand to support his friend.
Match saw a far more motivated and dominant Mack early on, but once Moose cut him off and gained control, it was once again all Moose. Every time Moose would hit a big move, he would call out Rich Swann, telling him that this is what pain looks like.
Mack started a short comeback, injuring Moose’s left shoulder, but when he went for the six star frog splash Moose moved out, hit the Lights Out, followed by strikes until the referee stopped the match. This was shorter, but better than the Turning Point match.
With two dominant wins over Mack, it’s just a matter of time before they kick off the Moose vs Swann feud.
– Josh Mathews and Madison Rayne ran down tonight’s card.
– We got one final Treehouse with The Rascalz, remembering some of their best moments in the Treehouse. They’re gonna be missed.
– The Bravo shooting investigation continues with Dreamer. The Deaners approached Dreamer about the gun they found at Turning Point.
Suicide vs Gio ended in a no contest
Not even a minute in, Eric Young and Joe Doering hit the ring and took both men out.
EY cut a promo saying that everything was Impact’s fault for interfering with his plans because the world belongs to them.
– Gia Miller interviewed Deonna Purrazzo (with Kimber Lee) about regaining the title. Purrazzo said she felt fantastic for being a two-time champion in only six months. Kimber Lee said that tonight, they’re going after the Knockouts tag titles. The lights then went all crazy and when they returned, a message was written on the mirror saying “Next week, ur time haz come”, bad spelling and all.
– Heath and Rhino were chatting backstage. Heath told Rhino that he would be rehabbing with Swann’s doctor. After that, Rhino walked out and confronted Erich Young and Joe Doering, telling them they wouldn’t get away with it. EY and Doering responded by beating up Rhino and went after Heath next.
Brian Myers defeated Crazzy Steve
At Turning Point, Myers defeated Swoggle in a singles match, but after he kept attacking Swoggle post-match, Crazzy Steve made the save.
The story of the match was that Myers wanted a straight collar and elbow match, but Steve went at him with his unorthodox style, annoying Myers, so he cut Steve off and worked over him.
Crazzy Steve made a comeback and came close to winning, but Myers resorted to poking Steve’s eyes before hitting his new lariat finisher for the win.
No idea where this is going, but the ‘professional wrestler’ gimmick seems to be working for Myers.
– Impact+ Flashback Moment of the Week was Tara & Brooke Tessmacher vs Gail Kim & Madison Rayne from the November 3, 2011 edition of Impact for the Knockouts Tag Team championships.
– Dreamer interrogated Johnny Swinger and asked to go over his fanny pack. Swinger straight up had a gun in there and said it was a gimmick, but Dreamer wasn’t having it and said that next week, Wrestler’s Court is coming back for Swinger.
Havok & Nevaeh defeated Tenille Dashwood & Alisha Edwards (with Kaleb with a K) in a Knockouts Tag Team Championship Tournament first round match.
Dashwood and Edwards became a tag team during Turning Point after Dashwood and Grace failed to get along as a team.
The story of the match was virtually the same one we’ve seen in the last month with Dashwood controlling early on, but once things get hard, she will tag out and leave her tag partner dry. Dashwood did at one point try to join Edwards on double teaming Nevaeh, but in the end, it’s all about her, and she left Edwards to get pinned by Havok.
The match was ok, Dashwood’s performance was good, and Edwards looked better than usual.
Havok and Nevaeh advance to face the winners of the team of Killer Kelly and Renee Michelle vs. Jordynne Grace and a mystery partner.
– We saw Jordynne Grace backstage talking to whoever her teammate will be next week. They hinted that this person was thinking about retirement before Grace contacted her.
Hernandez defeated Fallah Bahh
These two have been feuding ever since Fallah Bahh stole a roll of money from Hernandez.
Basic match, Hernandez dominated early on, Bahh made a comeback. Hernandez cut him off and won with the Superman splash. If anything else, this was Hernandez’ best performance so far and Bahh wasn’t doing comedy.
Hopefully this finishes the feud and they can move into something better, but we know that Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz are in possession of the money, so we can’t be sure just yet.
– Backstage, Rohit Raju is complaining to D’Amore about being attacked by Eric Young and Joe Doering. D’Amore told Raju off, but was then approached by TJP, who was reminded that no one named TJP could get a title shot again. D’Amore brought up the question of what Dusty Rhodes would do? He couldn’t have spelled it out clearer for TJP.
– We got a video package recapping the Good Brothers’ path to the tag team championships.
– Ethan Page went for D’Amore and requested The North’s Tag Team championship rematch against the Good Brothers. Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows were there and said that Page should have to go through someone of their choosing before they could earn a title shot. They hinted at someone that was “phenomenal”.
– Mathews and Rayne ran down some of the matches for next week, including Rich Swann vs. Ken Shamrock.
Rich Swann & Trey Miguel defeated The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier & Zachary Wentz) in the Rascalz’s farewell match
This is The Rascalz’s final match with Impact Wrestling. In the storyline, they’ve been evicted from the Treehouse and thus can’t stay with Impact anymore. Last week, they saved Rich Swann from a beat down at the hands of Callihan, Shamrock, and Chris Bey, and so in return, he wanted to close off this chapter of the Rascalz’s career with them.
The match was great, it was just a celebration of the Rascalz’s spots. Early on, all four men paired off with each other for some fast-paced sequences of reversals. The meat of the match would see the team of Xavier and Wentz gain control when working more as a team doing double team moves or cutting the ring in half, but once either of them wanted to go one-on-one with either Swann or Miguel, it was the latter that would dominate. Highlights of the match saw all four men trade strikes on one another until they all hit stereo superkicks and they all fell to the mat knocked out.
Finish saw Xavier and Wentz go for a second hot fire flame, but Miguel managed to take down Xavier with a top rope meteora, only for Swann to jump in with his new shotgun superkick for the pin.
After the match ended, all three Rascalz just sat on the ring shedding tears and hugging each other. They all celebrated together in the ring for a couple of minutes, leaving their jackets in the ring before heading to the back. Really emotional.
Backstage, Sami Callihan and Ken Shamrock beat them all down. Callihan then threatened Swann to close out the show.
The way that commentary put over the Rascalz on their way out was a complete 180 from what we see in every other promotion. Even when they did the job, commentary still celebrated the relationship between the promotion and the wrestlers.
Final thoughts —
Good show. Strong inside the ring, especially the main event. Storyline wise, we have some hints towards Hard To Kill, but with Final Resolution happening early December, nothing is set.
