Nash Carter issues apology for Hitler photo that led to WWE release

Zachary Wentz (former NXT Tag Team Champion Nash Carter) has issued his first comments since being released by WWE.

Wentz (real name Zachary Green) was released by WWE this April following social media posts made by his estranged wife Kimber Lee (Kimberly Green). Lee alleged that Wentz hit her so hard last year that he split her lip open, and she also tweeted a photo of Wentz impersonating Adolf Hitler with his mustache shaved and giving a Nazi salute.

Wentz was kept on NXT television after the abuse allegation but was released from his contract after the Hitler photo surfaced. Wentz was one-half of the NXT Tag Team Champions at the time of his release.

In a statement posted on his Twitter account on Monday night, the 28-year-old Wentz apologized for the photo and wrote that he’s ashamed of his behavior.

“This picture was taken in 2015, a time where I was uneducated on the topic and therefore didn’t understand the magnitude of how hurtful it was,” Wentz wrote. “In 2020 someone was trying to extort me by threatening to post it on social media. I sent it to my wife to discuss the situation. Apparently, she kept it and then decided in retaliation for the filing of the divorce to post it to social media. Regardless how the photograph came to light, there is still no excuse for my actions.”

Wentz’s full statement is available below:

A statement by Zachary Green.

No words can truly describe how ashamed and apologetic I am for my conduct in the photograph. There is no excuse for such behavior and I take full responsibility for my actions and ask for forgiveness. This picture was taken in 2015, a time where I was uneducated on the topic and therefore didn’t understand the magnitude of how hurtful it was. In 2020 someone was trying to extort me by threatening to post it on social media. I sent it to my wife to discuss the situation. Apparently, she kept it and then decided in retaliation for the filing of the divorce to post it to social media. Regardless how the photograph came to light, there is still no excuse for my actions.

Over the past month I have taken time to reflect on my conduct to which I express my utmost remorse and regret. I have spent time off social media to refresh and re-educate myself about of the horrors of the Holocaust. I truly do hope that this situation will teach and bring awareness to the horrific tragedy that took place so that something like this will never happen again. I can assure you that this is not who I am or what I represent as a human being, and I feel it is never too late to educate and better yourself.

If you are ever in the Orlando/Maitland area, take some time to visit the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida where you can learn about the history and depth of what took place. It was an incredibly eye-opening, and impactful experience that teaches the importance of this history.

Wentz is returning to the ring at a show for Circle 6 & No Peace Underground in Orlando, Florida this Saturday.

Nash Carter’s first post-WWE indie booking announced

Nash Carter has been announced for Circle 6 No Peace Underground.

The event will take place May 21 from Orlando. It will be his first booking since being released from WWE on April 6. He will once again be wrestling under the name Zachary Wentz.

Carter was released from WWE following allegations by his wife, Kimber Lee. She alleges that Carter was physically abusive to her and also tweeted a photo of him impersonating Adolf Hitler while giving a Nazi salute.

Carter’s last match in WWE before being released was at NXT Stand & Deliver on April 2 from the American Airlines Center in Dallas. Along with his partner, Wes Lee, they won a triple threat match to win the NXT Tag Team Championships on the show.

Prior to signing with WWE, Carter was one third of the Rascalz in Impact Wrestling. He also won tag team championships in PWG and CZW while teaming with Lee (FKA Dezmond Xavier).

WWE NXT Tag Team titles vacated, new champions to be crowned

New Tag Team Champions will be crowned on Tuesday’s episode of NXT.

Following the release of Nash Carter, WWE announced today that the NXT Tag Team titles have officially been relinquished. New champions will be crowned on NXT this coming Tuesday, but WWE hasn’t revealed how the new champions will be determined.

“The current NXT Tag Team Champions have relinquished the titles,” WWE wrote. “New champions will be crowned this Tuesday night at 8/7 C on USA Network. Stay tuned to WWE.com and WWE social accounts for updates.”

Carter (real name Zachary Green) was released by WWE after being accused of domestic abuse by his wife Kimber Lee (Kimberly Green). Lee also posted a photo of Carter impersonating Adolf Hitler with his mustache shaved and giving a Nazi salute.

Lee alleged that Carter hit her so hard last year that he split her lip open.

Prior to Carter’s release, MSK (Carter & Wes Lee) won the NXT Tag Team titles by defeating Imperium (Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner) and The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed) in a triple threat match at NXT Stand & Deliver last Saturday.

MSK had been scheduled to defend their titles against Grayson Waller & Sanga on NXT next week.

The Creed Brothers defeated Imperium in a tag match on this week’s NXT. During the match, Aichner walked out on Barthel. There was then a post-match angle where The Creed Brothers were attacked by the debuting Pretty Deadly.

Nash Carter released by WWE following domestic abuse allegation

Nash Carter has been released from WWE.

As first reported by Sean Ross Sapp, the 27-year-old Carter has been let go following allegations of domestic abuse by his wife, Impact Wrestling’s Kimber Lee. Photos of Lee with her lip split open, allegedly caused by Carter, were posted by her on Monday.

Lee tagged the official NXT Twitter account in her tweet along with the caption, “Hey @WWENXT this is my face after your tag champ @NashCarterWWE got wasted and hit me so hard he split my lip open. He told me I’m a wrestler so I’m always marked up. I’ve hid this for a year and even forgave him. But I can’t hide it anymore.”

“You all wanted the proof. There it is. I’m sorry I backed out but he was telling me lies all weekend to get me to not say anything,” a follow-up tweet reads.

On Tuesday, Lee posted a photo of Carter impersonating Adolf Hitler and giving a Nazi salute. She captioned the photo with, “Just another look into the kind of person @NashCartweWWE is….@WWENXT @WWE I’ve hid so much for so long because I was so mentally abused. Not to mention the countless anti LGBTQIA+ statements him and his family make…..”

It’s not clear when the picture was taken.

At the time he was released, Carter was one-half of the NXT Tag Team Champions along with his MSK partner, Wes Lee. They defeated The Creed Brothers and former champions Imperium in a triple threat match to win the belts at NXT Stand & Deliver last Saturday.

Imperium win NXT Tag Team titles at Halloween Havoc

Imperium are the new NXT Tag Team Champions.

Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel are the new champions, defeating MSK (Nash Carter and Wes Lee) at tonight’s NXT Halloween Havoc event. After a back-and-forth competitive match, Aichner pinned Lee after he hit a brainbuster on Lee and after both he and Barthel laid out Lee with an Imperium bomb.

MSK held the NXT Tag Team titles for over 200 days, winning them in a three-way tag team match back at TakeOver: Stand and Deliver on April 7 of this year. This is Imperium’s second reign with the titles, winning them for the first time back in April of last year.

Two other titles changed hands on tonight’s NXT. Mandy Rose pinned Raquel Gonzalez to win the NXT Women’s Championship, and her Toxic Attraction stablemates Gigi Dolan and Jacey Jayne defeated Io Shirai & Zoey Stark and Persia Pirotta & Indi Hartwell in a three-way ladder ladder match to win the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles.

The Rascalz debut on WWE NXT, get new in-ring names

The team formerly known as The Rascalz made their debut on NXT tonight and advanced to the next round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

In their first match for NXT, Dezmond Xavier & Zachary Wentz defeated Isaiah “Swerve” Scott & Jake Atlas in the first round of the Dusty Classic tonight. Xavier & Wentz have also gotten new in-ring names. They’re using the name MSK as a team, Xavier is now going by the name Wes Lee, and Wentz is now Nash Carter.

MSK will face either Killian Dain & Drake Maverick or Curt Stallion & August Grey in the second round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

MSK’s old tag team name was referenced on commentary during tonight’s match. Vic Joseph said these rascals are high flying and exciting.

It was announced last month that Xavier & Wentz had signed with WWE and reported to the WWE Performance Center. Trey Miguel, who was also part of The Rascalz, hasn’t signed with WWE.

The Rascalz’s farewell to Impact Wrestling aired in November, with Rich Swann & Miguel defeating Xavier & Wentz.

With PWG not running any shows in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Xavier & Wentz never lost the PWG Tag Team titles.
