Dani Luna on why TNA Wrestling is ‘exactly what I needed’ after WWE NXT UK run

At 24 years young, Dani Luna has been wrestling for nearly a decade but it feels like her career is truly just beginning.

After beginning at just 16, Luna got her first big break as part of the now-defunct WWE NXT UK when she was 19 — just three years after she began training.

Luna now finds herself as a full-time member of the TNA Wrestling roster with title aspirations on her goals for 2024.

In our 20-minute interview you can watch on YouTube above, Luna and I talked about her TNA pay-per-view debut in a high-risk match, her NXT UK run, and those aforementioned goals.

She believes being with TNA is “exactly what I needed at this point in my career.”

“It was terrifying more than anything.”

The England native signed with TNA Wrestling in December 2023 after working for the company during both their Canadian and UK tours earlier that year.

She made her PPV debut at January’s Hard to Kill in an Ultimate X match with five other women for a future Knockouts title shot.

While she said the opportunity was “cool,” she also said it was more “terrifying than anything” due to fear about falling off the structure — something she wished she had done earlier than later in the match to get it out of her system.

“…The fear of falling off of that thing is so much worse than actually falling off of it. But, it was it was so cool…the amount of things you can do in a match like that. If you think of all the things you can do in a match and then you add six other people and then you add this huge structure that you can all hang off of….there’s just so many ways to get around it.”

“And obviously I was sharing it with some incredible women too, lots of women that I had never even wrestled before. So that was a whole thing in itself. But yeah, it was crazy. It was it was a great time, but I reckon I’d like to do another one, but maybe not loads of them.”

The night was a big one for TNA as it was the first following their rebrand from Impact Wrestling back to their iconic naming convention. The match was also first on the PPV, something that wasn’t lost on Luna.

“It did really kind of throw me into the deep end a little bit. So many people that might not have even been watching TNA at the time who tuned in because this was the first PPV back, and then I’m one of the first people they see and they might not have even never heard of me. So, it was a really nice way and a really good showcase for me to show what I’m all about in a really exciting way.”

Luna is still early in her TNA run, but has already found a friend in Jody Threat. The two teamed up last month and Threat backed her up following her win over Killer Kelly on Thursday’s Impact. It’s a partnership she hopes has gold in its future.

“I think our goal for 2024 is to win the Knockouts Tag Team Championships and I don’t think that’s completely out of left field. I think is absolutely something we could do. I think we’re starting to build a really good tag division in TNA now and I would love to get there on a bigger stage with her. She’s one of my favorite people in the world so I would love to hold gold with her in TNA this year.”

The NXT UK years

Luna first became a fan of wrestling when she was 14 after her brother introduced her to it. Two years later, she was in wrestling school at just 16. Three years after that, she was signed to a WWE deal for the NXT UK brand where she made her home from 2019 through 2022.

She went on to say that while she learned a lot in NXT UK, she was too young to be on a stage of that level and that it was a lot to handle.

“I don’t think I was necessarily ready for that sort of stage at my age and my experience level, but it gave me so many tools that I think now I can bring to somewhere like TNA where I’m a bit more grown up, a bit more experienced, and a lot more prepared for it.”

WWE announced the impending creation of NXT Europe in 2023 with NXT UK “ending in its current form and serve as the foundation for a bigger, better NXT Europe.” Two TV tapings were canceled recently and the group will go on hiatus after next month’s World Collide special.

Several NXT UK stars like Tyler Bate, Blair Davenport and Gallus appeared on NXT Tuesday night to set up the Worlds Collide event which was yet to be announced at that point.

It’s unknown at this point whether WWE will look to re-sign any of the talent listed above once NXT Europe launches and if they revive a TV show when they do.

NXT UK results: Meiko Satomura & Sarray vs. Xia Brookside & Eliza Alexander

This week’s WWE NXT UK was taped at London’s BT Sport Studio with Andy Shepherd and Nigel McGuinness on commentary.

Tiger Turan defeated Kenny Williams

Williams promised last week that not only would he defeat Turan on this week’s show, he would unmask him and prove to the world he is Amir Jordan.

The commentary team was divided on whether Turan is Jordan or not. Shepherd believes Turan is a brand new wrestler on the roster while McGuiness isn’t so sure.

Turan got the early advantage over a frustrated Williams until a chop block to the knee changed the tide of the match. Williams was then in control for a period.

Turan made a comeback, hitting a dropkick from the second rope that sent Williams out of the ring. Turan then hit him with a suicide dive. After tossing his opponent back in the ring, Turan went for a top rope senton but Williams got his knees up.

Williams hit a penalty kick and began to taunt his opponent. Turan countered by rolling Williams up in a small package to get the three count.

Williams attacked after the match. He hit Bad Luck and then ripped Turan’s mask off only to reveal that he was wearing another mask underneath. Referees and security then hit the ring before Williams could rip off the second mask.

– A clip of Sam Gradwell confronting Trent Seven in the back was shown. This took place last week after Seven had attacked a fan. Gradwell called him the “dirt worst.”

– Die Familia confronted Oliver Carter in the gym where he was with Charlie Dempsey. They asked him if he was “with them or against them.” Carter told them he and Dempsey that he would run through all of them. A match was later scheduled between Teoman and Carter.

Josh Morrell defeated Primate

Primate looked to have taken control of this match after hitting a german suplex from the second rope. He then hit a clothesline in the corner and a big back body drop for a two count.

Morrell managed to come back after avoiding a charge into the corner. He landed a plancha to the outside, but then missed a 450 splash. Moments later, he would end up hitting a Code Red for the victory.

The commentary team played up what an upset this was and how it is Morrell’s first win in NXT UK.

– Blair Davenport was shown arriving to the building. She was confronted by Amale. She told Davenport that she hopes her comments last week were not about her. Davenport said her comments were directed to the whole NXT UK roster that whatever “hopes they may have are about to change.” She then warned her not to “step to her like that again.” Stevie Turner then exited the building and Amale thought she was laughing at her. Amale told Turner she will beat her next week and that she hopes Davenport will be watching.

– A video package featuring NXT UK Champion Ilja Dragunov was shown where he spoke about never having faced Wolfgang before.

Trent Seven defeated Tate Mayfairs

Fresh off his attack of a fan last week, Seven was in action this week against Mayfairs.

Seven chopped his opponent down in the early moments before taking firm control with a DDT. He then worked on his opponent for awhile until Mayfairs made a short comeback.

Mayfairs got a two count off a running crossbody, but Seven regained control short after. He then hit a Seven-style lariat to get the three count.

After the match, Seven continued to put the boots to Mayfairs and then locked in a variation on a figure four leglock. Gradwell’s music hit and he came in to make the save, however. Seven slid out of the ring and made his way to the back.

– A video previewing next week’s Noam Dar vs. Mark Coffey for the Heritage Cup was shown.

NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura & Sarray defeated Xia Brookside & Eliza Alexander

Brookside and Sarray started the match. Brookside eventually got the advantage and she and Alexander isolated Sarray for a period. Sarray eventually hit a dropkick on Alexander and tagged out.

Satomura was then in control until she tagged out. Alexander would hit Sarray with a big clothesline shortly after. This led to the heels working on Sarray for an extended period once again.

Alexander had Sarray in a camel clutch until she eventually fought her way out and tagged in her partner moments later.

Once Satomura came back in, all the momentum was back with the babyfaces. She hit a frog splash on Alexander, but Brookside broke up the pin after.

Satomura would tag out moments later and once again, the heels were able to take control. Sarray fought back, however, and hit a brutal dropkick on Brookside while she was draped on the ropes. Satomura then tagged in and hit Scorpio Rising for the win.

Satomura and Sarray celebrated in the ring to end the show.

Next week:

  • Noam Dar defends the Heritage Cup against Mark Coffey
  • Teoman vs. Oliver Carter
  • Stevie Turner vs. Amale

Pete Dunne’s WWE contract reportedly expiring soon

(Photo: WWE.com)

According to a report, another top WWE NXT name is about to hit free agency.

Fightful Select reported on their Patreon page today that Pete Dunne’s WWE contract is set to expire in the near future. The report cites one source as saying that Dunne’s deal is up after SummerSlam weekend, but clarifies that they are working to confirm that detail.

Fightful’s report also states that they are uncertain if Dunne’s contract situation is similar to Adam Cole’s, in that Cole’s deal reportedly expired last month, but he agreed to continue on through SummerSlam weekend in the form of a short-term extension. Cole’s contract expiration was reportedly a surprise to top WWE brass, as they were under the impression that he was signed for a longer period of time.

Dunne, 27, made his WWE debut in 2017 at the inaugural WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament. He would make it to the finals of the tournament before losing to Tyler Bate in the match that crowned the first WWE United Kingdom Champion.

Dunne was the longest-reigning WWE United Kingdom Champion with a run of 685 days with the title. That title was later renamed the NXT United Kingdom Championship, and Walter would go on to surpass Dunne’s mark.

Dunne would later team with Matt Riddle as the BroserWeights in NXT. They would capture the NXT Tag Team Championship once, in addition to winning the 2020 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

WWE Worlds Collide preview: Imperium vs. Undisputed Era and more

So this is what it’s like when Worlds Collide.

The previous iterations of Worlds Collide really haven’t done it for me, and I’d venture to guess they haven’t done much for most people. Unless the card is incredible (think prime era PWG), it’s hard to get excited about something with little stakes and less of a story. This version, however, is different. There are some stakes and there has been at least some loose builds towards the matches.

Plus, this is kind of like a prime era PWG card. Plus, plus there are two titles on the line. Plus, plus, it’s been awhile since I typed out like a thousand words about wrestling into a Google doc. So there it is, and here we are. Let’s run through this tasty treat of a Worlds Collide card.

NXT Cruiserweight Champion Angel Garza vs. Travis Banks vs. Jordan Devlin vs. Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott in a fatal four-way

If this goes on first, it is going to be hard to beat. All four can absolutely go and it’s an interesting blend of styles. Banks and Devlin bring a well-defined super junior style that should mesh well with Swerve’s outrageous smoothness and Garza’s lucha background. One of the issues with Worlds Collide is that the domestic version of NXT is largely considered superior to its UK counterpart. This creates a fairly defined pecking order that makes it hard to find a place where the UK folks can come out on top. This match has a pretty clear pecking order of:

  1. Garza
  2. Swerve
  3. Devlin
  4. Banks

Of course, your mileage may vary with that ranking, but by all means, please get your own wrestling column if you’d like to present your personal ranks (for the record, my personal ranking of them is Swerve, Devlin, Garza, Banks but all of them are great!).

This is far too early for Garza to drop the belt (maybe Lio Rush gets involved?), so look for him to retain in a wildly entertaining sprint.

Ilja Dragunov vs. Finn BĂĄlor

This might be the first exposure some people are going to have to Dragunov which is totally fine and also totally unfortunate. My man goes full tilt full time, and has such a unique style and vibe. He’s very much in the Kota Ibushi-led group of “crazy dudes who might die in the ring and no one would be surprised”. He’s frantic. The UNBESIEGBAR (rough translation: invincible) stuff isn’t a gimmick. He lives it. He believes it. He wrestles with the urgency of someone desperate to feel something, to feel anything, and it’s a treat.

He also gets to take on the fully realized version of Balor. His best match in WWE was against Jordan Devlin at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool and I’m hoping going against another NXT UK bro brings out the best in him yet again. I’m interested to see what the endgame is for Finn in his NXT return. Is he back for the long haul? Or, is he here for a good time, not a long time, and just long enough to get some reps as The Prince.

There’s just no way Balor loses this. He’s too big and too important. But, he will sure let Ilja get his offense in, and both should come out of this looking good as hell.

NXT Champion Rhea Ripley vs. Toni Storm

The growth of Ripley from a green NXT UK champion to what she is now is staggering. She owns her character and demands your attention and commands the screen. What a testament to her talent, and the developmental system. Her ascent to the top was as well executed as it gets, so shout-out to her for being great, and shout-out to NXT for recognizing an absolute supernova and pulling the trigger on her.

If Ripley is a supernova, what does that make Storm? Probably a star, right? Where Ripley had to grow into her role as a top star in the company, Storm has quietly been there since she started with NXT. She was a semi-finalist in the first Mae Young Classic and won the damn thing the following year. Her being a top level performer isn’t a secret, so it’s surprising she hasn’t made more noise stateside.

This is a nice revisiting of the first major women’s program in NXT UK. Ripley beat Storm to become the first champ, and Storm took the title from Ripley. They have done some good acknowledgment of that and it’s worth wondering if this is a reintroduction of Storm to the larger NXT domestic audience. This is Rhea’s first title defense and, like with the Cruiserweight title match, there is just no way they take the belt off of her so soon.

#DIY (Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano) vs. Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate & Trent Seven)

This is a match that wouldn’t be out of place at the top of one of those classic PWG cards I mentioned earlier. MM is the perfect idea of a tag team: the preternaturally gifted Tyler Bate and his relatable, handsome dad with perfect hair. They are two pure white meat baby faces who are as good as it gets.

Also as good as it gets? #DIY (other than the forever terrible name). British Strong Style is synonymous with NXT UK much like Gargano and Ciampa are with the domestic brand. One team helped establish a new brand and the other elevated one to a different level.

DIY might not be the perfect idea of a tag team. Even though they have had some incredible matches as a team, they still feel like two singles competitors who just happen to be teaming up. There is a difference between a team and ‘A Team’ and this match illustrates that. Even though they aren’t one functioning organism like MM, Johnny and Tommy are two great tastes that go great together.

NXT domestic has taught us that Gargano and Ciampa are superpowered final bosses who wrestle street fights, 2 out of 3 falls matches, Ironman matches, or whatever. Maybe their weakness is a regular tag team match after such a long layoff? Nah, they just got new merch. DIY wins in what I think will be the match of the night.

Imperium (WALTER, Alexander Wolfe, Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel) vs. Undisputed Era (NXT Champion Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, NXT Tag Team Champions Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly)

It would be a fundamental failure if I did not include a link to the chop that ended Adam Cole’s life on Wednesday night. I know WALTER’s thing is the big boy chops, and I’ve seen just about all of them, but man alive, was that a horrifying sound. A full flip bump for a chop seems like a Dolph Ziggler level of oversell… but it really wasn’t.

This brings us to the showdown between the beautiful, tiny, wonderful, UE boys and their faction counterparts from across the pond; the not as beautiful, certainly not as tiny, and slightly less wonderful Imperium. All eight of these guys have worked at the highest level of every promotion they’ve been in, so this should be another well put together multi-man match.

Still, for some reason, I can’t find myself getting worked into a lather for this one. I know it’s going to be good, and I know these are the two biggest factions on either side, but here I am doing the Pete Dunne shrug whenever I think about this.

I could see this match being a clean Imperium win. NXT has been trying to balance the build toward Worlds Collide with the build towards TakeOver: Portland, and Imperium winning would continue the story of the Undisputed Era’s golden prophecy coming to an end. Let’s say Impermium closes the show standing tall; the mat is sacred, after all.

Kay Lee Ray, Jazzy Gabert appear at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool

Several talents, including Mae Young Classic standout Jazzy Gabert, made an appearance at this afternoon’s NXT TakeOver: Blackpool event.

Luke Menzies was shown in the crowd first. He’s a former rugby player from West Yorkshire who first began training for pro wrestling in 2016. He was signed to WWE in May of last year and has worked for the US NXT brand, losing to Keith Lee in his televised debut.

Kay Lee Ray and Jazzy Gabert were later also shown in the front row. Ray has been wrestling since 2009 on the British indy circuit, competing in the second TNA British Boot camp in 2014. She was also a participant in the 2017 Mae Young Classic, where she was eliminated in the first round by Princesa Sugehit. Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Observer that she was expected to sign with WWE.

Jazzy Gabert was also a participant in the 2017 Mae Young Classic, losing to Abbey Laith in the first round. She was a part of Impact at one point with a storyline involving her and Chris Sabin.

She was set to be signed to WWE following the 2017 Mae Young Classic, but WWE passed after it was revealed during medicals that she had three herniated discs in her neck. She underwent surgery to repair the damaged discs in March of last year.

Akira Tozawa heading to Fight Club: PRO’s Japan event

Akira Tozawa is coming to Fight Club: PRO.

The promotion announced today that the 205 Live star will be making an appearance for the promotions Project Tokyo event at Korakuen Hall on January 7. It wasn’t made clear who he would be facing.

Fight Club: PRO made the announcement on their Twitter this morning. Drave Maverick retweeted their tweet, saying he made the arrangement to loan Tozawa to FCP for the event.

This comes after a number of NXT UK talent were pulled from the show, including British Strong Style, Jordan Devlin and Travis Banks. NXT UK talent have signed new contracts in recent weeks that have put even more restrictions on where they can work. One of the new restrictions also bars wrestlers from competing on a show one week out before a NXT UK taping, and there will in fact be a taping that following weekend.

Tozawa has wrestled infrequently this year as he hasn’t been focused much on 205 Live and the brand doesn’t tour. In recent weeks, however, he has been teaming with Brian Kendrick feuding against Drew Gulak and Jack Gallagher.

WWE UK tournament night two live results: Four title matches

The second day of live to tape UK action this afternoon on the WWE Network will feature a mix of UK and NXT talent, including yesterday afternoon’s UK title tournament winner.

Zack Gibson will get a chance to take out current United Kingdom champion Pete Dunn at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England. After defeating Travis Banks in the finals of the United Kingdom tournament yesterday, he’ll ride that momentum into the title match that he’s earned today.

Most interestingly, there will also be another number one contender’s match tonight to determine the next challenger for the championship. Travis Banks, Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster will compete to see who will step up to the challenge next.

Other matches set for this afternoon include a women’s championship match, with Toni Storm earning a shot to face champion Shayna Baszler. Moustache Mountain will get a NXT tag team title shot against Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong while Wolfgang will face Adam Cole for the NXT North American championship.

Join us this afternoon at 3 p.m. EST for live results.

**********

Moustache Mountain defeated Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly to win the NXT tag team titles

Things start off hot for the challengers, but O’Reilly cuts off Trent Seven and works on him with strikes. Seven manages to eliminate both Strong and O’Reilly but right as he’s about to tag in Bate, Strong on the outside takes him out. Bate finally comes in with the hot tag and clears house.

Bate airplane spins both guys but O’Reilly hooks in a sleeper to break it up. While in the sleeper, Bate grabs Strong and hits a German suplex, taking out both men. Moustache Mountain hit a double back suplex on O’Reilly but Strong breaks it up. They focus on Bate as they go for a double move, but Bate dodges and sends them both reeling.

Bate hits a giant dive to the outside on Strong then goes to the top rope. With an assist from Seven, Bate hits a knee from the top rope and Seven connects with a burning hammer on O’Reilly, pinning him to win the titles. Great match with a hot crowd.

Charlie Morgan defeated Killer Kelly

Both start off with some good chain wrestling. Kelly gets the advantage, locking in a dragon sleeper. Morgan escapes, but Kelly strikes Morgan with a boot that sends her to the outside.

Morgan strikes Kelly with a superkick but Kelly comes back and goes for a straightjacket suplex. Morgan powers out and blocks a suplex attempt with a cradle, which gets her the win. Good, simple match that gets Charlie Morgan over.

Before the match starts, NXT UK GM Johnny Saint comes out and makes it a fatal four way match. Noam Dar comes out, returning from a knee injury after six months on the shelf.

Noam Dar defeated Flash Morgan Webster, Mark Andrews and Travis Banks

Everyone exchanges knee strikes as people try and recover. Webster meets Andrews on the top rope and goes for a hurricanrana but Andrews gets on his feet, then strikes Webster with a reverse rana. Dar comes in and takes Andrews down with a kneebar.

Banks hits the slice of heaven but is still favoring his arm. Andrews takes him out but doesn’t connect with a shooting star press. Dar attacks the injured arm of Banks on the apron then hits a knee strike for the win. That makes him the next contender for the UK title.

After the match Joe and Mark Coffey run down and attack the other three competitors. Noam Dar made his exit, not interested in what was going on.

Adam Cole defeated Wolfgang to retain the NXT North American title

Wolfgang starts out on the offensive, striking Cole with a forearm, then follows with a double knee gutbuster. Being the bigger of the two, Wolfgang had no problem taking down Cole again and again. Cole tries to build some momentum, but is taken out with another gutbuster.

Wolfgang went to do something on the top rope, but Cole met him with a superkick then follows with a backstabber. Wolfgang hits the forward slam and goes for a moonsault but Cole rolls out of the way. He repeatedly kicks Wolfgang until he first back with a lariat.

Heading to the top rope, Wolfgang launches off with a swanton bomb but Cole gets the knees up. He follows with what was originally the last shot, then hits the new last shot (running knee strike on the ground) for the win. Good match, weird dynamic. Cole is usually the heel, and here he was a total babyface. Crowd absolutely loved him too. Solid stuff regardless.

Backstage, Moustache Mountain were happy that they won the titles here tonight.

Aleister Black and Ricochet defeated Velveteen Dream and EC3

Dream demanded Black to be tagged in. Ricochet is soon in, however, and clears house. Dream takes Ricochet on the apron and drags him down, throwing him into the barricade.

Both Dream and EC3 work over Ricochet until he makes the hot tag to Black, who takes them both out with a double springboard moonsault. Dream takes out Black and goes to the top rope, but Dream hurts his knee and is unable to hit the purple rainmaker.

EC3 lands a DDT on Black as Ricochet comes in to lay his opponents out, with Black coming in to help. Dream hits a DDT of his own on Black, but he kicks out. Ricochet is tagged in but eats a rolling death valley driver by Dream. EC3 comes out and goes for the TKO but Ricochet fires back with a standing shooting star press. EC3 takes him out again, but when he goes to tag in Dream, he bails on EC3, tending to his injured leg instead.

Meanwhile, Black recovers and strikes EC3 with black mass, scoring him the win. Pretty good match, but felt a little long. Dream is still really green, but I think he’s improving in regards to in-ring work.

Ricochet takes the NXT title from the referee after the match and hands it to Black, perhaps a sign that soon he’d like a title match.

Cathy Kelly talks to Toni Storm, who says she’s been a champion all over the world. Baszler knows what she’s about. She promises to win the title tonight.

Shayna Baszler defeated Toni Storm by count out to retain the NXT Women’s title

They start off with some chain wrestling, with Baszler getting the upper hand until Storm escapes. More chain wrestling ensues until Storm is able to send Baszler out of the ring and scores a dive to the outside. Baszler avoids a running boot to the guardrail, with Storm catching her foot in the rail. Baszler pounces, attacking the prone Storm.

Baszler chop blocks the leg of  Storm as she begins to work it over. After some ground and pound, Baszler focuses on the leg some more. Storm manages to build momentum regardless. They both meet on the top rope, where Baszler plants Storm with a gutwrench suplex. Baszler follows with a kneebar. She escapes, strikes Baszler with a headbutt and hits the air raid clash, but Baszler kicks out.

Storm bridges Baszler but is still unable to get the pinfall. Baszler catches Storm in the kirifuda clutch but Storm rolls over and grabs the bottom rope. Bazler latches it on again on the outside. Storm struggles to get to her feet as the referee eventually counts to 10, giving the win to Baszler. Really good match, Baszler is improving and is really good at what she does. Storm has a ton of potential, especially at such a young age.

Baszler jumps Storm after the match, putting her in the kirifuda clutch once again.

Pete Dunne defeated Zack Gibson to retain the WWE United Kingdom title

Dunne outwrestles Gibson to start things off. They travel to the outside, where Gibson trips Dunne on the apron and shoves him into the barricade shoulder first. Gibson works over Dunne until he strikes with a headbutt. He follows with a running knee to the corner and an x-plex.

Dunner latches on to Gibson and applies a wrist lock submission Gibson escapes, but Dunne counters and lays him out, then goes to the top rope and flies off with a moonsault.

Gibson starts to mount a comeback, driving Dunne to the corner and pummeling him with strikes, his mouthpiece falling off. Dunne calmly puts it back on and starts attacking, soon leaving them both on the floor. The two trade headbutts with Dunne getting the better of it. He plants Gibson with the Bitter End, but Gibson kicks out.

Gibson lays out Dunne and hits the ticket to ride. Dunne kicks out, but the Shankly Gates is immediately put on by Gibson. Dunne manages to get to the ropes.Gibson takes him to the top rope and hits a big helter skelter off the top rope. Gibson puts on the Shankly Gates again, but Dunne still finds a way to make it to the ropes.

Dunne is completely out of it at this point. He plays possum , grabbing one of Gibson’s fingers and breaks it. Gibson uses his feet to make it to the top rope, but Dunne meets him on the ground with a punch and lays him out with the Bitter End a second time to retain the UK title. Excellent main event match. Gibson will likely be a big deal on this brand.

Triple H and the rest of the WWE UK come out. Hunter says this is the next chapter of UK wrestling. This is your time, this is your brand, and we are NXT.
