Carmella & Queen Zelina vs. Sasha Banks & Naomi set for WWE WrestleMania 38

Carmella and Queen Zelina have accepted the challenge from Naomi and Sasha Banks for a Women’s Tag Team title match at WrestleMania 38.

On tonight’s Raw, Carmella and Zelina said they accepted the challenge Naomi and Banks made on SmackDown this past Friday. The two were talking about Carmella and Corey Graves’ reality show on YouTube. Zelina remarked that all they talked about was sex. Carmella said if you thought that was something, when they retain the titles at WrestleMania, she planned to “celebrate” with her fiance in the ring.

After Banks defeated Shotzi on SmackDown Friday, Naomi entered the ring and announced they were going after the Women’s Tag Team titles.

Here are the current cards for both nights of WrestleMania, which will be held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas:

Night 1 (April 2)

  • Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship
  • Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship
  • Rey and Dominik Mysterio vs. The Miz and Logan Paul

Night 2 (April 3)

The Mysterios vs. Miz & Logan Paul official for WWE WrestleMania 38 night one

Logan Paul’s in-ring debut is officially set to take place on night one of WrestleMania 38.

WWE has announced that Rey & Dominik Mysterio vs. The Miz & Paul will be part of the card for WrestleMania 38 night one. AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas is hosting the two-night event on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3.

The social media and celebrity boxing star Paul was revealed as Miz’s WrestleMania partner on last week’s episode of Raw. After losing to Rey Mysterio on the Elimination Chamber pre-show, Miz teased that he would be finding a partner who is a “global superstar” to team with against Rey & Dominik.

Miz and Paul beat down The Mysterios during a Miz TV segment last Monday:

This will be the second consecutive year that Paul has been involved with WrestleMania. At WrestleMania 37 in 2021, he was stunned by Kevin Owens.

Update on title unification plans for WWE WrestleMania 38

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer gave an update on WWE’s title unification plans for WrestleMania 38 and its aftermath.

WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and Universal Champion Roman Reigns are set to face off in a winner-take-all championship unification match at WrestleMania 38 — but it doesn’t appear that WWE will only have one men’s World Champion for long. Meltzer noted on Sunday’s Wrestling Observer Radio that he’s been told WWE does not believe it is “feasible in the modern environment” to have one World Champion for both Raw and SmackDown.

“The deal here is that it is a unification match. From what I am told, it’s the same idea as the last time they unified the titles. Remember like 20 years ago, 18 years ago, when they did and then like a week later they just handed a belt to Triple H?,” Meltzer said.

“I was told that it is not feasible in the modern environment to not have each brand, given the two networks, have a champion. So this would be a unification match and then they will — not forget about it — but there will be two champions.”

On Friday, WWE added the title unification stipulation to Lesnar vs. Reigns. WWE is billing it as the biggest WrestleMania match of all time. It will headline WrestleMania 38 night two on Sunday, April 3.

Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair set for WWE WrestleMania 38 night one

Two Women’s Championship matches are set for night one of WrestleMania 38.

WWE has announced that Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair’s Raw Women’s Championship match will take place at WrestleMania 38 night one this April. AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas is hosting the two night event on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3.

This means that Lynch vs. Belair will be happening on the same night as the SmackDown Women’s Championship match between Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey.

WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and Universal Champion Roman Reigns’ winner-take-all title unification match has been announced for night two of WrestleMania 38.

Belair challenging Lynch at WrestleMania was confirmed when Belair defeated Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Doudrop, and Nikki A.S.H. in a number one contender’s Elimination Chamber match earlier this month.

Lynch retained her Raw Women’s Championship against Lita at Elimination Chamber.

At WrestleMania, Belair will be looking to avenge her loss to Lynch from last year’s SummerSlam. Lynch made her return to the ring at that pay-per-view and defeated Belair in 26 seconds to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Lynch became Raw Women’s Champion when she and Charlotte swapped title belts after changing brands in last year’s WWE Draft.

Vince McMahon vs. Pat McAfee match listed in WWE WrestleMania 38 internal schedule

A match between Vince McMahon and SmackDown announcer Pat McAfee looks to be in the cards for WrestleMania 38.

Dave Meltzer reported this afternoon that the match between McMahon and McAfee is listed in the internal schedule for WrestleMania. This follows a Post Wrestling report from Friday where it was reported that a program between the two was expected to start and lead to WrestleMania.

It was announced on SmackDown that McMahon is scheduled to be interviewed live on Pat McAfee’s YouTube show this coming Thursday at noon eastern. It would be his first live interview since his interview with Steve Austin in 2014 on the WWE Network. His last match was in 2010, losing to Bret Hart at WrestleMania XVI.

In recent months, McMahon has appeared back on television, first promoting the movie Red Notice by taking part in a storyline where someone stole his golden egg that The Rock gave him. When it was revealed that Austin Theory stole the egg, McMahon took a liking to him and has since made appearances on television encouraging him.

Report: Vince McMahon expected to launch WWE WrestleMania 38 program with Pat McAfee

A new report indicates that a program between Vince McMahon and Pat McAfee for WrestleMania 38 is expected to be launched.

Post Wrestling reported tonight that the two will start a program which will include WrestleMania 38. When asking their source if their involvement at the show was going to be billed as an official match, Post Wrestling was told “most likely”.

It was announced on tonight’s SmackDown that McMahon would be appearing live on the Pat McAfee show on YouTube this Thursday at noon eastern. It will be his first live interview since his interview with Stone Cold Steve Austin back in 2014.

McMahon, 76, last had a match at WrestleMania XXVI in 2010, where he lost to Bret Hart in a no holds barred match. He also engaged in a brawl with CM Punk in 2012 and took a headbutt from Kevin Owens in 2017.

McAfee originally started as an announcer for NXT, and later had a match with Adam Cole at NXT TakeOver XXX in August of 2020, with Cole getting the win. That was followed by a WarGames match, with The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong) defeating Pat McAfee, Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan, and Danny Burch. Last April, McAfee moved to the SmackDown brand, where he became a color commentator alongside Michael Cole.

Edge appearance announced for WWE Raw

Edge is set to appear on this Monday’s Raw.

During tonight’s episode on SmackDown, it was announced that Edge would appear on the show to address his status for WrestleMania.

On this past Monday’s Raw, Edge came out for a promo and talked about WrestleMania, his first being WrestleMania XIV in 1998. After going over past matches with the likes of Mick Foley, the first Money in the Bank, and The Undertaker, he issued an open challenge for WrestleMania, saying if you fight him at WrestleMania, you’ll live forever.

Edge’s last match was at the Royal Rumble, where he and Beth Phoenix defeated The Miz and Maryse in a mixed tag match.

Already announced for Raw is a United States Championship match between champion Damian Priest and Finn Balor. On last week’s Raw, Priest asked for an opponent of world title caliber. Balor, a former Universal Champion, came out and accepted the match.

Raw will be held at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

Lesnar vs. Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 38 now a championship unification match

WWE has raised the stakes even further for Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns’ match at WrestleMania 38.

On WWE.com on Friday, it was listed in multiple places that Lesnar vs. Reigns at WrestleMania 38 will now be a championship unification match. WWE also stated on tonight’s SmackDown that Lesnar vs. Reigns will be a title unification match. Lesnar holds the WWE Championship, while Reigns is Universal Champion.

“The table has been set. 2022 Royal Rumble winner and WWE Champion Brock Lesnar has chosen to battle Roman Reigns in The Biggest WrestleMania Match of All-Time. It’s WINNER TAKE ALL in a highly anticipated Championship Unification Match on WrestleMania Sunday,” WWE wrote.

WWE is promoting Lesnar vs. Reigns as being the biggest WrestleMania match of all time.

It was announced earlier today that Lesnar vs. Reigns will be the main event of WrestleMania 38 night two on Sunday, April 3. A contract signing for the match will take place later on tonight’s SmackDown.

Lesnar vs. Reigns was made official for WrestleMania after Lesnar won this year’s men’s Royal Rumble match. Lesnar entered the Royal Rumble after Reigns and Paul Heyman caused him to lose the WWE Championship to Bobby Lashley earlier in the night.

At Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia last Saturday, Lesnar regained the WWE Championship by winning an Elimination Chamber match.

Reigns has held the Universal Championship since August 2020. He retained the title against Goldberg at Elimination Chamber.

Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns to headline WWE WrestleMania 38 night two

The main event of WrestleMania 38 night two is now officially set.

In an announcement that was made via ESPN today, it was confirmed that Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns’ winner-take-all title vs. title match will headline WrestleMania 38 night two. Lesnar’s WWE Championship and Reigns’ Universal Championship will both be on the line in the match.

Dave Meltzer had reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter last month that Lesnar vs. Reigns was scheduled to main event WrestleMania 38 night two.

WrestleMania 38 is being held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3. Charlotte Flair defending her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey is set for night one of the show.

Lesnar was confirmed as Reigns’ WrestleMania challenger after he won last month’s men’s Royal Rumble match. Their WrestleMania bout became a title vs. title match when Lesnar won the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia last Saturday.

A contract signing for Lesnar and Reigns’ match at WrestleMania will take place on tonight’s episode of SmackDown.

Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey confirmed for night one of WWE WrestleMania 38

WWE has confirmed which night one of the top matches for WrestleMania 38 will be taking place on.

It was announced on Thursday that Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey’s SmackDown Women’s Championship match will be part of the card for WrestleMania 38 night one on Saturday, April 2. The two-night event is being held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, with night two set for Sunday, April 3.

Before making the announcement today, WWE put out polls on its website and social media accounts asking fans which night of WrestleMania 38 they thought Charlotte vs. Rousey, WWE Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Universal Champion Roman Reigns, and Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair would be taking place on.

Lesnar vs. Reigns is expected to be part of the card for WrestleMania 38 night two.

Rousey was confirmed as Charlotte’s WrestleMania challenger after winning this year’s women’s Royal Rumble match. Rousey made her return to WWE at the Royal Rumble after having not appeared for the company since WrestleMania 35 in 2019.

Rousey teamed with Naomi to defeat Charlotte & Sonya Deville in a tag team match at Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia last Saturday. The match had a stipulation where Rousey had to wrestle with her arm tied behind her back. She got the win by submitting Deville.

WWE announces two presenting sponsors for WrestleMania 38

Two presenting sponsors have been announced for this year’s WrestleMania.

WWE issued a press release on Wednesday announcing that Snickers and WWE 2K22 will both be presenting partners of WrestleMania 38. The two-night event is taking place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3.

WWE touted that this is the first time two brands have served as the presenting partners for WrestleMania. This will be the seventh consecutive year that Snickers has been a featured sponsor of the event.

WWE 2K22 will officially be released on March 11.

Snickers and WWE 2K22 will be the sponsors of the main event of each night of WrestleMania 38. Both brands will be showcased on Raw and SmackDown leading into WrestleMania, along with being showcased on both nights of WrestleMania and their pre-shows. They will also be featured in custom digital and social content on WWE.com and WWE’s YouTube channel.

“WrestleMania 38 in Dallas will be the most stupendous two-night WrestleMania in history, so it seemed fitting to bring together two of our longest-reigning brand partners,” said Claudine Lilien, WWE Head of Global Sales & Partnerships. “The 360-degree partnership with Snickers and WWE 2K22 will provide maximum reach with activations across our broadcast, digital and streaming assets as well as our world-renowned roster of WWE Superstars.”

“Mars is excited to continue to bring fun to WWE fans by returning as a Presenting Partner of WrestleMania, this year alongside our friends at 2K,” said Michelle Deignan, Senior Director, Mars Wrigley. “At Mars, we know the WWE fan base is passionate and hungry for more entertainment, and we look forward to giving them a solution to those moments when they are feeling out of sorts, in a way only Snickers can deliver on.”

“The WWE 2K22 team is thrilled to co-present WrestleMania alongside a fantastic — and delicious — partner in Snickers,” said Alfie Brody, Vice President of Global Marketing Strategy at 2K. “We’ll all be cheering on our WWE 2K22 cover Superstar Rey Mysterio as he ‘hits different’ at The Showcase of the Immortals.”

Logan Paul to make in-ring debut in WWE WrestleMania 38 tag match

Logan Paul is set to make his in-ring debut in WWE at WrestleMania 38.

In a segment on tonight’s episode of Raw, The Miz introduced the social media star Paul as his new tag team partner in his vendetta against The Mysterios. Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio stated that if Paul was The Miz’s partner, they accept the challenge for a match at WrestleMania 38.

Paul made a series of WWE appearances in the build to WrestleMania 37, then seconded Sami Zayn in his match against Kevin Owens at the event. Owens hit Paul with a stunner. Paul would return to WWE programming last August, appearing in a segment with Miz and John Morrison. In a Raw appearance last September, Paul aligned with Happy Corbin in another segment with Owens.

WrestleMania 38 is set for Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The show will air on Peacock and WWE Network.

The WrestleMania 38 lineup so far:

  • Winner-takes-all match: WWE Champion Brock Lesnar vs. WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns
  • WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship: Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Ronda Rousey
  • WWE Raw Women’s Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bianca Belair
  • Logan Paul & The Miz vs. Rey Mysterio & Dominik Mysterio

WWE confirms winner-take-all stipulation for Reigns vs. Lesnar at WrestleMania 38

WWE has confirmed it will be title for title at WrestleMania 38.

In their preview for the upcoming Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns match, WWE confirmed on their website that it will be “winner-take-all”, meaning both the WWE Championship and the WWE Universal Championship will be on the line.

At the end of this afternoon’s Elimination Chamber event, Brock Lesnar won the WWE Championship, last eliminating Austin Theory in the Elimination Chamber match. As Lesnar was posing with the championship, announcers pushed that it would be a champion vs. champion match, but didn’t specify if the WWE Championship would also be on the line.

Lesnar originally won the WWE Championship at Day 1 back on January 1. At the Royal Rumble later that month, Lesnar lost the title to Bobby Lashley after Roman Reigns interfered. Lesnar was then inserted into the Elimination Chamber match.

Matches currently announced for WrestleMania, which will take place on April 2 and 3, include:

  • Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE and Universal Championships
  • Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship
  • Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship

Brock Lesnar wins WWE title, set for champion vs. champion match at WrestleMania 38

It will be champion vs. champion when Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns face off at WrestleMania.

At Saturday’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia, Brock Lesnar won an Elimination Chamber match to become the new WWE Champion. With Reigns retaining his Universal Championship against Goldberg earlier in the show, it was confirmed that Lesnar vs. Reigns at WrestleMania 38 this April will be champion vs. champion.

Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins, Austin Theory, AJ Styles, and Riddle were the other participants in the WWE title Elimination Chamber match. Lashley was champion going into the match but was taken out before he even entered the Elimination Chamber.

There was an angle during the match where Rollins powerbombed Theory into Lashley’s pod. Lashley was taken out of the match, with it being said that he was injured and had entered concussion protocols after the pod broke when Theory was powerbombed into him.

Lesnar eliminated Theory, Styles, Riddle, and Rollins with F-5s. When the match came down to him and Theory, Lesnar eliminated Theory by hitting a super F-5 from the top of one of the Chamber pods.

At last month’s Royal Rumble PPV, Lesnar lost the WWE Championship to Lashley after interference by Reigns and a betrayal by Paul Heyman. Lesnar went on to win the men’s Royal Rumble match later in the night.

WrestleMania 38 is being held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3.
