Natalya details positive backstage interaction with Undertaker from AAA show

A recent backstage interaction with The Undertaker in Mexico reinforced to Natalya that she shouldn’t be so hard on herself for making small mistakes.

During a media tour to promote her new book, Natalya made an appearance on The Joe Vulpis Podcast. She opened up about how she’s learned to be kinder to herself than she was earlier in her career. It’s still something that she struggles with, though. Even as recently as last weekend, she felt the need to over-apologize for a mistake that happened during a match. Talking with Undertaker backstage after made her realize it was actually a non-issue.

“I did it this weekend, I was in Mexico. Listen, I’m a work in progress. But I was wrestling in Mexico,” Natalya said. “It’s for AAA — WWE is working with AAA so we’re doing these incredible shows in Mexico. Sold out crowd. It was amazing. I was in there with these amazing female wrestlers, and one little thing went wrong. We were both going for, like, this double surfboard move. We practiced it during the day, it went perfect. We did it at night, it just went off the rails.

“But I remember coming back and Undertaker was helping produce the show. The first thing I did was say, ‘I’m so sorry that the surfboard didn’t work out. We screwed it up. I’m so sorry.’ He’s like, ‘Oh, I didn’t even notice that was a mistake.’ Like, he didn’t even care. He was, like, giving us all this great feedback and positivity and all this stuff.”

Undertaker has been a driving force backstage in AAA since the lucha libre promotion was acquired by WWE. On October 25, the company held its Heroes Inmortales 2025 event in Mexico City. The card included a three-way match where Flammer retained the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship over Natalya and Faby Apache.

“When I got done with the match, I was thinking about the mistake and I’m like, ‘People loved the match.’ It was a great match, I’m so proud of the match,” Natalya said. “So who cares if there was a little mishap? We got the match back on track and everybody loved it.”

Natalya has made several appearances for AAA over the past several months. Since signing a new WWE contract in 2024, she’s also been given permission to take some matches outside the company for places like Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport and the NWA.

Raquel Rodriguez credits two WWE legends for helping her improve

Raquel Rodriguez is crediting two WWE Hall of Famers for helping her improve in the ring.

In an interview with The Metro, Rodriguez said The Undertaker has been helping her behind the scenes and giving her some tips. She has also used recent criticism from Kevin Nash to help improve her in-ring game.

“Undertaker’s really stepped up, and he’s been giving a little bit more of his time and advice and his knowledge to everyone in the business, including myself,” Rodriguez said.

One area of focus for Undertaker has been Lucha Libre AAA, where he’s become “one of the big driving forces” backstage following WWE’s acquisition of the promotion.

In comments made on his podcast this July, Nash criticized Rodriguez for working too small and not maximizing her size as a strength. Rodriguez responded to that criticism with grace, showing respect for Nash and saying that she was going to start working bigger.

“Kevin Nash has been so gracious since the comments, and I think he really took my response in a very nice way as well,” she told The Metro. “He’s been nice enough to message me here and there and give me a little couple of tips about videos and matches that he’s seen.

“So I know he’s watching the product. I know he’s watching me, and that makes me feel good, because he’s out there to want to make me better.”

Rodriguez and her Judgment Day partner Roxanne Perez are set for a tag match on today’s WWE Raw in France. They’ll be facing off against The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane).

Report: Undertaker, Mike Tyson in talks to appear on Indian reality show

The Undertaker is reportedly set to take part in a popular reality show in India.

Bigg Boss, hosted by actor/producer Salman Khan, is entering its 19th season and features celebrities living together in a house while being filmed 24 hours a day. Contestants are eliminated through tasks, nominations, and audience votes.

According to multiple Indian outlets, including The Times of India, Undertaker is expected to be one of three wildcard entries this season. The show began filming in Mumbai on Friday, and it is rumored Taker will stay in the house for between seven and ten days.

Another WWE Hall of Famer, Mike Tyson, has also been rumored as a potential wildcard entrant. Bigg Boss has not officially confirmed either name.

The Great Khali was previously a wildcard entry on the show’s fourth season in 2010. He advanced to the finals before finishing as runner-up to actress Shweta Tiwari.

Triple H calls Undertaker ‘one of the big driving forces’ behind AAA Lucha Libre

Triple H has commented on The Undertaker’s role with AAA.

On Sunday, one day after AAA Triplemania, Triple H posted a video to social media commenting on the event. In it, he says he never imagined The Undertaker would one day become an influential figure in lucha libre.

Triple H said:

“You know, if you’d have told me 20 years ago that one of the big driving forces behind AAA in Mexico would be the Undertaker, it would have been hard for me to, sort of, wrap my head around that.”

The video is available here and at the end of this article.

In June, Konnan revealed on his podcast that Taker had been backstage at AAA events, saying he believes Taker is hoping work in creative for WWE.

“I think that Undertaker wants to get into creative,” Konnan said on the show. “He was in creative at Money in the Bank, he was in the other one, and I think he’s very interested in being part of the creative team.”

Taker was also backstage at Worlds Collide in June, which may have been “the other one” Konnan referred to above.

Jelly Roll also recently commented on The Undertaker and Michelle McCool helping him prepare for his SummerSlam match with Randy Orton against Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul, saying both spent hours giving him pointers at the WWE Performance Center.

“Undertaker comes in with Michelle, his wife, and they come in and say, ‘Hey, we just want to watch for a minute, just kind of chill, is that cool?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, for sure.’ This is who he is as a human. The entire three-hour session, he and his wife stood on those ropes and just gave me pointer after pointer.”

The Undertaker chokeslams Trick Williams on WWE NXT

WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker made his presence felt on Tuesday’s WWE NXT episode.

In a much-hyped confrontation with TNA World Champion Trick Williams, Undertaker got the last word and left the champ laying after a chokeslam.

The Undertaker and Trick Williams segment on Tuesday’s live WWE NXT TV episode in Houston was set up on last week’s show with Williams bullying Undertaker’s WWE LFG charges in a backstage segment. The Deadman announced in a social media post during last week’s show that he would be showing up live in Houston to confront Williams.

During their confrontation, Undertaker told Williams that he lacked the same intensity as TNA Champion that he once had as NXT Champion. Williams went for a sucker punch, but Undertaker caught him and hit a chokeslam to end the segment.

Later in the show, Undertaker spoke with Je’Von Evans backstage and told the young star to continue targeting “the biggest dog in the yard,” hinting at Evans being NXT Champion Oba Femi’s next challenger. Femi retained the NXT title over Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura in the main event of Tuesday’s episode.

The Undertaker on joining WWE’s creative team: ‘I would definitely entertain it’

The Undertaker is open to being a part of WWE’s creative process.

Talking to WrestleSTAR, the WWE Hall of Famer said he would definitely entertain the idea of joining WWE’s creative team, but it would depend on scheduling working out.

“I’ve always kinda had and interest, it’s just a matter of making it work with my schedule and the other things I have going on because the ask for something like that, it’s really big,” he responded. “I have to be 100 percent committed to be part of that, right? I mean, you have to be involved in all of these creative meetings and all of this other stuff. If we can figure out a way to make that happen, make it happen, being obviously in Texas, I would definitely entertain it. If there is something I can do that can make our product better, help talent, then I’m on board for that.”

WWE Hall of Famer Michelle McCool was also interviewed and was asked about the possibility of competing at WWE Evolution, which takes place next month.

“If they ask, I’ll be there,” she said. “In fact I would love a Laycool reunion, that would be, I think Layla’s finally kinda getting back in the scene. But look, I’m always down to fight, I’m always ready. I have not been called but I would love to do anything they ask me to do.”

Both Undertaker and McCool will be judges for the upcoming season of WWE LFG, which premieres this Sunday.

Undertaker underwent heart surgery in April

The Undertaker (Mark Calaway) and Michelle McCool went through a difficult few weeks earlier this year as Undertaker navigated a heart issue.

Undertaker’s Six Feet Under podcast returned on Thursday with McCool joining the show as its new co-host. On the episode, they revealed that Undertaker underwent heart surgery in April after suffering from chronic AFib (atrial fibrillation), a condition where your heart does not beat regularly, increasing your risk of complications like a heart attack or stroke. Undertaker said he is now “all good” after the procedure, but things could have gone badly if the issue was not found.

Aside from sometimes being out of breath when he’d walk up stairs or play with their dog, Undertaker was not experiencing any significant symptoms. He had a routine heart exam scheduled for the end of March, where it was found that he had been in chronic AFib for a while. Medication did not work and Undertaker ended up having to spend four nights in the hospital a couple of weeks before WrestleMania 41. His heartbeat was off, his ejection fraction was low, and doctors had to shock his heart back to normal rhythm, but it only lasted 24-48 hours before he was back in AFib.

Undertaker said he wasn’t supposed to go to Las Vegas for WrestleMania 41 weekend because of the heart issue, but he still made the trip. He helped induct his wife McCool into the WWE Hall of Fame on the Friday night before WrestleMania. Shortly after getting home from Vegas, Undertaker had surgery done.

“That was a rough five weeks,” McCool said. “Everybody came up to me like, ‘How was Hall of Fame? How was this?’ And I did enjoy it literally when I stepped out on the stage, but we had a lot more important things going on before then.”

Undertaker, 60, has been retired from the ring since 2020. He and McCool will both be coaches on season two of WWE LFG, which premieres on A&E on June 22. Undertaker was also a coach on the first season of the show, while McCool is replacing Mickie James for season two.

WWE NXT notes: Undertaker, LFG talent, Meta-Four split

The Undertaker was on this week’s NXT.

While Oba Femi was talking about Trick Williams and other potential challengers for his NXT Championship, the Undertaker walked in and told Femi that NXT was his yard for now, but his guys from LFG are going to be coming for it very soon. Shiloh Hill, Anthony Luke, and Jasper Troy walked in. Femi told Undertaker he was looking forward to the challenge.

Undertaker has been a judge and mentor on the first season of LFG along with Mickie James, Booker T, and Bubba Ray Dudley. He appeared at the WWE Hall of Fame during WrestleMania weekend, inducting his wife Michelle McCool. Last month, it was announced that LFG would be renewed for a second season with McCool being added as a coach.

Earlier in the show, Meta-Four officially reunited following Noam Dar’s surprise return last week, winning back the Heritage Cup trophy. Lash Legend, however, shared her feelings on the reunion saying she felt it was time for Oro Mensah to do his own thing on Evolve and for Jakara Jackson to branch out and do her own thing. Dar agreed, ending the segment with a group hug.

The group first formed back in 2023, helping Dar win and keep the Hertiage Cup. However the group largely went their seperate ways after Dar suffered a leg injury in 2024, keeping him out of action for the rest of the year. Mensah feuded with Ethan Page while Jackson & Legend continued as a tag team.

Undertaker appearance, new match added to WWE NXT Roadblock

The Undertaker and WWE LFG coaches will appear on next week’s NXT Roadblock special.

As revealed during this week’s show, Undertaker, Mickie James, Bubba Ray Dudley, and Booker T, the coaches on the new WWE LFG reality show, are set to appear on next week’s episode. Booker T was already slated for the event as an NXT commentator.

A new match is also on tap for the March 11 NXT Roadblock show, with Roxanne Perez taking on Jordynne Grace. That bout was set up on Tuesday’s show after a backstage angle where Perez laid out Grace. Grace was victorious over Perez’s storyline ally Cora Jade on this week’s show via referee stoppage after an injury scare. Jade later posted on social media that she was “all good.”

The lineup for the Tuesday, March 11 WWE NXT Roadblock special from The Theater at Madison Square Garden:

  • NXT Champion Oba Femi defends against Moose
  • Winner takes all double title match: NXT Women’s Champion Giulia vs. NXT Women’s North American Champion Stephanie Vaquer

  • Street fight: Je’Von Evans vs. Ethan Page
  • Roxanne Perez vs. Jordynne Grace
  • WWE LFG coaches The Undertaker, Mickie James, Booker T, Bubba Ray Dudley appear

Undertaker explains why he’s such a big fan of Gunther, praises Jacob Fatu

Gunther and Jacob Fatu are two of The Undertaker’s favorite wrestlers currently active in WWE.

Undertaker has consistently sung Gunther’s praises on his podcast and in media interviews — and he did so again when SHAK Wrestling asked who stands out to him on the WWE roster. Undertaker explained that he’s impressed not just with Gunther’s work in the ring but how he carries himself backstage as well.

“Gunther, that’s my guy. I love that dude,” Undertaker said. “Honestly, everything that he does — because he’s so different. He’s so different. He can work with anybody, and he does his style regardless. And he’s not a bunch of flippy-doos and meaningless moves that he does. Everything that he does makes sense. He cuts a great promo. He believes in who he is. And in turn, the audience believes that’s who it is.

“And I haven’t really seen him ever where he was that far different than what you see on TV, even backstage. Which, you know me, I appreciate that more so than anything.”

Undertaker also had praise for Jey Uso and Jacob Fatu, saying Fatu is someone who has unlimited potential.

“I like Gunther. Obviously, Jey Uso’s ascent. Jacob [Fatu], he hasn’t even scratched the surface. Dude, he is — I love watching Jacob. He’s got that thing. He’s got ‘it.’ Like, when he’s on TV you want to see what he’s doing. So, again, another one of those who have just scratched the surface of where he has the potential to go.”

Gunther and Uso will clash at WrestleMania 41 this April with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line. Uso earned the title shot by winning the 2025 men’s Royal Rumble match.

Undertaker is featured as a coach on the new series WWE LFG, which premiered on A&E on Sunday night.

Undertaker praises Ricky Starks, reacts to WWE NXT debut

The Undertaker says Ricky Starks’ WWE NXT debut last night caught him off guard

While last night’s episode aired, Taker was interviewed by Bully Ray on Busted Open Radio with NXT on in the background. When Taker noticed Starks’ debut, it led to a discussion about how they first met.

Taker shared that they met at a gym in 2015, and years later, Starks helped his wife, Michelle McCool, train for her Royal Rumble return.

Taker said:

“Yeah, so I’m training at this gym. I noticed this kid is there every day. Doesn’t say anything, really respectful. As the training went along and we needed different spotters and different help, he was always like right there. Finally, we struck up a conversation and he told me that he was trying to break in the business and I’d kind of talked to him about different things.”

“For one of the Rumbles where Michelle was a surprise guest, she wanted to get in the ring, so he came down and trained with her. And I’ve seen him a few times here and there, and I’ve always had great, great conversations with him. He’s such a good kid, such a respectful kid.”

Reacting to Starks’ debut, Taker said it took him by surprise.

“Yeah, so that caught me completely off guard. I hadn’t seen him in probably a year, year and a half maybe. And then I just looked up and saw him there. But yeah, that’s how we met. We met in a gym while I was getting ready for Shane (McMahon) in WrestleMania.”

Starks made his debut for a major promotion in 2018 at the NWA 70th Anniversary show. He later won the promotion’s TV title in 2020, shortly before making his AEW debut. That summer, Starks answered Cody Rhodes’ open challenge for the TNT title, leading to Tony Khan signing him after the match. He went on to win the FTW title and AEW World Tag Team Championships with Big Bill before AEW stopped using him last March.

WWE 2K25 announces ‘Deadman Edition’ featuring The Undertaker

2K has announced a special edition of WWE 2K25 featuring The Undertaker.

Social media accounts for the company revealed early Monday morning that a “Deadman Edition” of this year’s game will be available for purchase. However, further details regarding what is included in the Deadman Edition have not been released.

In recent special editions of the game, legends such as John Cena and Rey Mysterio were featured in Showcase Mode. This mode allows players to relive some of the most memorable matches from their careers

Although an official release date for the game has yet to be announced, recent editions have been released in March.

An upcoming announcement regarding the game was teased earlier this month during the Raw on Netflix premiere. During a backstage segment on the show, Roman Reigns told Paul Heyman that they need a platform for him to be acknowledged on now that he’s the Tribal Chief once again. As they left the room, the WWE 2K25 logo appeared on the door as it closed behind them. Our own Bryan Alvarez would later report that Reigns will eventually be revealed as this year’s cover star for the game.
