It’s been announced that Roadblock 2026 will take place at The Theater at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, March 31. The show will air as a special episode of NXT and should serve as a big stop for NXT on the road to WrestleMania weekend.
The Roadblock event is happening one night after Madison Square Garden itself hosts WWE Raw. The theater is a smaller venue connected to MSG that seats a few thousand people. It also hosted Roadblock in 2025 and was most recently the venue for NXT Gold Rush last November.
“NXT Roadblock returns to the Infosys Theater at MSG on March 31,” the venue’s announcement said. “Be there LIVE to see your favorite NXT superstars including NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, NXT North American Champion Ethan Page, NXT Women’s North American Champion Izzi Dame, NXT Tag Team Champions DarkState and many more!”
Tickets are going on sale to the general public this Thursday (February 5) at 10 a.m. Eastern. A pre-sale is set to begin on Wednesday at that same time.
WWE has yet to officially announce NXT’s plans for WrestleMania weekend in Las Vegas this April, but NXT’s Stand & Deliver PLE traditionally happens then. The brand has a big TV episode tonight where a new NXT Champion will be crowned. Oba Femi vacated the title last month as he prepared for his main roster call-up.

WWE NXT is in New York City tonight for a loaded-up television episode.
Roadblock 2025 takes place from The Theater at Madison Square Garden tonight and features three title matches. That includes a title vs. title match in the main event. NXT Women’s Champion Giulia is facing off against Women’s North American Champion Stephanie Vaquer — and the winner will leave with both title belts.
The Hardy Boyz are putting their TNA Tag Team titles on the like against Nathan Frazer & Axiom. if Fraxiom win the match, they will hold both the TNA and NXT Tag Team titles.
TNA star Moose is challenging for gold tonight, taking on Oba Femi for the NXT Championship.
In non-title action, Je’Von Evans and Ethan Page will attempt to settle their rivalry in a New York City street fight. Jordynne Grace vs. Roxanne Perez is also set.

TNA Tag Team Champions Matt & Jeff Hardy defeated Nathan Frazier & Axiom to retain their titles
Jeff Hardy pinned Axiom to win the match. Miscommunication by Fraxiom cost them at the finish. Great opener to kick off the show.
Lots of tandem offense from both teams and high spots galore, but not too many. They flowed well. They built to a series of dives to the outside from Fraxiom. The show cuts to its first commercial break with The Hardy Boyz on defense. Hot tag to Jeff when the show returns from the break.
Frazier goes for tope, but Matt catches him and gives Frazier a Side Effect on the floor. That left Axiom alone against the Hardys. Plot Twist by the Hardys for a near falls on Axiom. Hardys were setting up for their finishers when Axiom counters a Twist of Fate. Axiom shoves Matt into a corner, which trips up Jeff, who crotches himself on the top turnbuckle. That sets up a Spanish Fly.
Axiom with a Spanish Fly with Jeff. Frazier follows up with a Phoenix Splash on Jeff. Frazier goes for a cover, but Matt breaks up the pinfall. Match continues. Whisper in the Wind and Twist of Fate by Jeff for a near fall on Frazier.
Fraxiom went for a high/low combo, but Jeff counters Frazier’s grasp. Frazier was screaming at Axiom to jump. When Axiom finally does jump, he inadvertently nails Frazier with a missile dropkick. Axiom then takes a Twist of Fate from Matt. Jeff then climbs the turnbuckles and leaps off with a Swanton Bomb. Jeff then covers Axiom to win the match and retain the tag team titles.
TNA’s Mickie James has advice to NXT’s Jaida Parker, and Parker appreciates the pep talk.
Jordynne Grace defeated Roxanne Perez
Grace pinned Perez after going Beast Mode. Second good match in a row on this show.
Perez targets Grace’s leg. The match goes through a commercial break. Grace makes a comeback as the is returning from the break. They trade a lot of strikes. Grace wanted to do a signature power move, but her leg would not let her.
They trade near falls and counters, including a frog splash by Perez for a two count. They work very well together. Great sequences as they go home. Grace delivers a rolling fireman’s carry slam, and Grace follows with her finisher they are calling Beast Mode. Grace then covers Perez for a three count.
Cameo by The Undertaker! Oba Femi is walking backstage, heading for Gorilla, when he is stopped by Undertaker. Taker tells Femi is watched him for awhile now, and he is impressed with Femi. Undertaker stresses the importance of Femi’s match tonight. Undertaker tells Femi to protect his yard.
Trick Williams in a pre-taped vignette promises Eddy Thorpe he will knock him out cold next week. They meet next Tuesday in NXT Underground.
NXT Champion Oba Femi defeated TNA X-Division Champion Moose to retain the NXT Championship
Femi retains via pinfall. What a match! These two had a banger. The unstoppable force meets the immovable object.
This was a hoss fight. Femi gives Moose an uranage on the apron just before the show cuts to a commercial break. Moose turned the tide during the break, and Moose has Femi in a chinlock when the show returns from the break.
Femi powers out of the chinlock and he tosses Moose across the ring. Femi then delivers a pop-up powerbomb. Outside the ring on the floor, Moose whips Femi into the ring steps. They traded big strikes back in the ring. Moose springboards off the ropes, only to get cut down with an uppercut from Femi. Several near falls for Femi, but he could not put Moose away.
Dueling chants from the crowd, while Moose sets up for a superplex. They execute it to a big pop, but there was an even bigger pop afterwards. Moose lands with the superplex and rolls through to lift Femi for a vertical suplex. Femi counters with a suplex of his own.
They traded strikes and kicks, but neither will go down. Moose turns inside out with a clothesline, and Femi goes for a his pop-up finisher. Moose counters to deliver a powerbomb of his own for a near fall. Femi comes back to military press Moose and throw him out of the ring, where they tease a count-out.
The fight spills outside, Moose gives Femi a Rock Bottom through the announce desk. “Holy s***” chants from the crowd muted by CW censors. Moose rolls Femi back in the ring to deliver a spear for another good near fall.
For the finish, Moose goes for another spear. However, Femi blocks it to deliver a pop-up powerbomb. Moose then falls to the mat and drapes on arm over Moose for the deciding pinfall.
In a backstage skit, Fatal Influence is talking with NXT GM Ava. Up walks Ricky Saints, and he wants a match with Ridge Holland. Ava books it for next Tuesday.
Ethan Page interrupts them, and he gets in Saints’ face. Page tells Saints that NXT does not like outsiders like Saints. The irony here of course is Page was recently an outsider himself, which is noted on commentary as Page walks the aisle for the next bout on the card.
Ethan Page vs. Je’Von Evans in a New York City Street Fight
Evans pinned Page to win a heckuva street fight. What a brawl and some wild high spots, although it may have gone a tad too long. The finish was the wildest spot of the night.
They were both dressed in tank tops and pants, or street clothes in other words. Slugfest from the start and they brawl around the ring, and then they brawl around ringside. A metal folding chairs are soon in play, and the hit each other with the chairs. Page takes a bump on an unfolded chair, which looked awfully painful. Moments later, Page takes another bump on a folded chair, which looked like it hurt a lot as well.
Evans takes a bump on a chair bridge. Evans earlier in the match propped a table in a corner, only for Page to powerslam Evans through the table after the bump on the chairs. Yet, Evans kicks out as the show cuts to a commercial break.
Evans with a springboard as the show returns from the commercial break. Evans goes for another springboard, but this time is cut down. Razor’s Edge by Page for a near fall. They trade strikes and another slugfest develops.
A table was set up like a bridge from the apron to the barricade in a manner similar to what Sabu used to do in the original ECW. Evans leapt over the ropes for a cutter on Page, who was on the apron. They crash through the table on the spot. That deserved an “E-C-W” chant, but it got a “this is awesome” chant instead. Evans follows that by sailing high over the ropes on a dive to the outside.
Double springboard tornillo splash by Evans for a two count. In a callback to how the feud began, Evans teases using chair to Pillmanize the neck of Page. Escaping that, Pages throws the chair at Evans. Page goes for a move on the chair, only to take a cutter on the chair instead. In a helluva spot, Page has his head stuck in an unfolded chair. Evans then springboards into a cutter, and Page takes the bump with his neck in the chair. One…two…three. The babyface gets his revenge in the end. Great finish that fit the story.
After the match, Evans is attacked but the four mystery assailants that have terrorized NXT recently. They jump Evans and lay him out with an assisted powerbomb. The mystery four are supposedly Cutler James, Dion Lennox, Saquon Shugars, and Osiris Griffin.
Shawn Spears in a vignette talks with his faction, which is now called The Culling. We do that every year here on the ranch, but it is a much different culling altogether.
Eddy Thorpe cuts a promo on Trick Williams in a live interview with Sarch Schreiber. The crowd was loud, which drowned out Thorpe. The crowd chanted “whoop that trick!” As Thorpe is insulting the New York Mets, Trick Williams jumps Thorpe. A brawl erupts, and Trick whoops that other trick all the way to the ring.
After getting Thorpe in the ring, Trick spears him. Trick then clotheslines Thorpe over the ropes. Trick stands tall.
NXT North American Champion Stephanie Vaquer defeated NXT Champion Giulia in a title vs. title match
Vaquer pinned Giulia, and now Vaquer hold both titles. Great match to cap off a really great show.
Great counters and stalemate in the early part of the match. These two work so well with each other, and their styles matched together make for a different match than usually seen on WWE television. Vaquer springboards into plancha just before the show cuts to its last commercial break.
Vaquer does her signature headscissors spot as the crowd counts along. Vaquer takes a double-underhook superplex from Giulia. From here, I started having flashbacks to All Japan Women’s matches from yesteryear.
Tombstone driver by Giulia for a near fall. Vaquer turns the tide with a dragon screw, and Vaquer follows up with one of her finishers, but Giulia kicks out. Vaquer went for Spinal Tap off the top rope, but Giulia counters by trapping Vaquer in a triangle. Giulia transition to Rings of Saturn, but Vaquer gets a rope break. They keep trading near falls in the closing moments.
For the finish, Vaquer twice delivers her SVB (package neckbreaker) finisher. Vaquer then folds up Giulia for a pinfall, and Vaquer becomes a dual champion.
Final thoughts: This was a really great show! Clean finishes and good wrestling up and down the show. Some of the matches were bangers. No bad matches. Every match delivered on the show, and the setting made it seem even more important. Highly recommend watching this episode.
The Undertaker and WWE LFG coaches will appear on next week’s NXT Roadblock special.
As revealed during this week’s show, Undertaker, Mickie James, Bubba Ray Dudley, and Booker T, the coaches on the new WWE LFG reality show, are set to appear on next week’s episode. Booker T was already slated for the event as an NXT commentator.
A new match is also on tap for the March 11 NXT Roadblock show, with Roxanne Perez taking on Jordynne Grace. That bout was set up on Tuesday’s show after a backstage angle where Perez laid out Grace. Grace was victorious over Perez’s storyline ally Cora Jade on this week’s show via referee stoppage after an injury scare. Jade later posted on social media that she was “all good.”

A stipulation match is the latest addition to the card for WWE NXT’s Roadblock special.
Rivals Je’Von Evans and Ethan Page will face off in a New York City street fight when Roadblock takes place at The Theater at Madison Square Garden next Tuesday (March 11). The match was announced by NXT General Manager Ava in a video that WWE posted this afternoon.
Page defeated Evans in their match last month at Vengeance Day. In storyline, Evans had to sign a liability waiver to compete that night after having his jaw injured and teeth damaged by Page. There was a segment in December where Page wrapped a steel chair around Evans’ neck and stomped on it, causing Evans to bleed from the mouth.
Their feud has continued since then with Evans & Ricky Saints defeating Page & Wes Lee in the main event of NXT last week. Saints pinned Lee after Evans and Page brawled through the crowd and out of the arena.
Roadblock is airing live on The CW next Tuesday as a special episode of NXT. Here is what has been announced for the show so far:

WWE NXT is coming to New York City next month for a special TV episode.
It was announced today that NXT Roadblock will be held at The Theater at MSG on Tuesday, March 11. The episode is airing live on The CW at 8 p.m. Eastern time that night.
The Theater at MSG is a smaller venue located inside Madison Square Garden. The venue previously hosted an NXT house show in 2016. Without factoring production configuration, it has a capacity of 5,570.
Madison Square Garden itself is hosting WWE Raw on March 10, the night before Roadblock.
Roadblock tickets are going on sale to the general public this Friday (February 14) at 10 a.m. Eastern time. A pre-sale will begin at 10 a.m. this Wednesday and last through midnight on Thursday with “NXTLIVE” as the access code.
Since debuting on The CW last October, NXT has traveled outside the WWE Performance Center for select television episodes. Roadblock is taking place just over a month before NXT’s Stand & Deliver PLE, which will be held in Las Vegas during WrestleMania weekend.
Tuesday night’s Roadblock edition of WWE NXT averaged 654,000 viewers on the USA Network, up 14.7 percent from last week. It’s the best audience total the show has done since January 16 and is NXT’s fourth-highest viewership of 2024 so far.
NXT drew a 0.16 rating in the 18-49 demo. That’s the same rating the show did last week and matches the lowest rating NXT has drawn since July 4 of last year.
As compared to the same week in 2023, NXT’s overall audience was up 4.8 percent while its 18-49 rating was down 5.9 percent. It’s the first time since April 4 of last year that the show has had a year-over-year decline in the 18-49 rating.
Roadblock featured a number one contender’s match between Carmelo Hayes and Tony D’Angelo. Two Tag Team title matches also took place on the episode, including a defense by main roster stars The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane)
Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and 18-49 demo ratings for NXT, as well as the 10-week average in both categories. This week’s show was down 1.2 percent in overall viewers and down 15.8 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.
William Regal made a surprise appearance at Tuesday’s WWE NXT Roadblock special.
In just his second appearance on WWE TV since rejoining the company in 2023, Regal interrupted a celebration of new NXT Heritage Cup Champion Charlie Dempsey and the No Quarter Catch Crew at Roadblock.
Regal noted that the Heritage Cup is of the utmost importance to him, and that he will have his eye on the No Quarter Catch Crew as they defend the trophy under the “Catch clause,” where any member of the group can defend the Cup.
Dempsey stated that he would defend the Cup better than Regal ever could, a nod to the fact that Dempsey is Regal’s son in real life. Regal acknowledged Dempsey as his son in a social media promo in December, but that has yet to pay into NXT storylines.
After being released by WWE in January 2022, Regal had a run with AEW as the manager of the Blackpool Combat Club and occasional commentator that lasted from March 2022 to December 2022. He returned to WWE in January 2023 as the company’s Vice President, Global Talent Development after asking AEW not to pick up his contract option for 2023. AEW agreed, but with the stipulation that he could not appear on WWE TV until 2024.
Regal made his return as a television character on the January 23, 2024 NXT episode as an authority figure of sorts, naming Ava the new general manager of the brand.
On the road to WrestleMania weekend, a special edition of WWE NXT takes place tonight.
Carmelo Hayes and Tony D’Angelo are set to face off in a number one contender’s match on tonight’s NXT Roadblock. The winner earns an NXT Championship shot against Ilja Dragunov at Stand & Deliver next month.
The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) are in NXT for a WWE Women’s Tag Team title defense against Lyra Valkyria & Tatum Paxley. The winning team will defend their titles against Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark on Raw next Monday.
That isn’t the only Tag Team title match scheduled for tonight. NXT Tag Team Champions Bron Breakker & Baron Corbin will put their belts on the line against Chase U.
One week after making his return, Shawn Spears will be in action. An Asylum match between Dijak and Joe Gacy has also been announced.

This supercard edition of NXT opens with an introductory video package, hosted by Lexis King. He is driving a sports car, and he uses a lot of automobile metaphors relating to the show being called “Roadblock”. King, along with video highlights, run down the top matches on the card.
Kicking off the show is an “Asylum” cage match from a soundstage at the Performance Center in Orlando. It is basically a weapons-filled cage match, and “asylum” is an apparent reference to whatever Joe Gacy’s character is supposed to be.
Dijak defeated Joe Gacy in an Asylum (cage) match
I still do not understand the Gacy character, but this was still a heckuva match. Lots of weapons and such, so this might not be everyone’s cup of tea. Yet, it is not ultra-violent or bloody like some hardcore matches.
Inside the cage are gimmicks that include a chair, table, door, fire extinguisher, kendo stick, straitjacket, and a mystery box of some sort with “DO NOT OPEN” stenciled on the side. The box was a Looney Tunes gag. Dijak opens the lid, and a boxing glove on a spring hits Dijak in the gut. That gag led into a near fall for Gacy, but Dijak kicks out just before the show cuts to a split-screen commercial break.
Just before the show returns from the break, Gacy craters a trash can with a Nestea Plunge. When the show does return from break, Dijak is climbing the cage. Dijak then does a moonsault off the top of the cage. Big pop, a near fall, and a “holy s***” chants follow.
Dijak puts the straitjacket on Gacy, but Gacy still fights back even with his arms restrained behind his back. The tease a superplex, but it was instead Dijak’s turn to take a Nestea Plunge in a bit of an irony. The heel falls backwards through a table he set up. Gacy follows up with a senton bomb for another near fall.
Gacy escapes the straitjacket, only to be leveled with a lariat. Dijak takes duct tape, and he tapes over Gacy’s head so that he is blind. Dijak uses a kendo stick to assault a seemingly helpless Gacy, but Gacy fights back. Gacy takes the kendo away from Dijak and hit him with it. Dijak tosses Gacy through a door propped up in a corner. I was seen doors used like this on the indies, but not sure I have ever seen it in a WWE ring.
Gacy kicks out of a near fall, and Dijak responds by executing Feast Your Eyes. Dijak then covers Gacy for the deciding pinfall.
In a locker room skit with The Family, Tony D’Angelo asks Luca Crusifino to be his consigliere. Crusifino agrees.
A different skit sets up a match a match for later on between Fallon Henley and Blair Davenport.
NXT Tag Team Champions Bron Breakker & Baron Corbin defeated Chase U (Duke Hudson & Andre Chase with Thea Hail, Jacy Jayne, Jazmyn Nyz & Riley Osborne) to retain their titles
Breakker pinned Chase, in what was another good match on this show. An angry Thea Hail stormed off after the match for some reason. Later in the show, Hail has a pull-apart screaming match with Kiana James and Izzi Dame.
The champs start out strong, but Chase U has a rally before the match goes through a commercial break. The tide turns during the break. Breakker does a Super Frankensteiner, and Chase takes a big bump for it.
The “Wolf Dogs” work over Chase, but Chase still kicks out for a near fall. Hot tag to Hudson, and he runs wild. The champs bump and feed, until they make a bling tag. Hudson counters before he can be blindsided. Chase & Hudson do a Gory Special/Flatliner combo for a two count on Corbin.
Breakker jumps off the apron with a flying clothesline that sends Hudson tumbling over the announce desk. Meanwhile, Corbin is seemingly in control of Chase in the ring. Not for long, as Chase counters Corbin. High cross by Chase for a two count on Corbin.
For the finish, Corbin gives Chase a Deep Six, and Breakker follows with a spear. Breakker then covers Chase for a three count. Wolf Dogs retain.
In a backstage interview, Carmelo Hayes puts over his personal security force. Hayes vows to beat D’Angelo tonight, and then go on to win the NXT title.
Shawn Spears defeated Uriah Connors
Spears pinned Connor after a C4. This was a short enhancement match to showcase the returning Spears. The “10” gimmick is long gone, but Spears does bring his chair gimmick from AEW. However, he still does not play it like a guitar like La Parka in WCW. That to me is a real shame.
Rather, Spears’ character is more serious. He cuts a promo after the match, and he name drops Ridge Holland. That looks to be Spears’ first program in NXT since his return. Spears almost flubbed some lines, but he recovers. He is supposed to be brooding I guess, since they used a split lighting technique on his face.
Holland comes out to confront Spears, and they brawl. Holland pummels Spears, and Spears slides his metal folding chair over to Holland. Spears then dares Holland to hit him with the chair. This plays on Spears’ promo, where he likened himself to a mirror that exposing people for what the really are inside.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Kabuki Warriors (Kairi Sane & Asuka) defeated Tatum Paxley & NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria to retain their titles
Sane pinned Paxley to win the match. Another solid bout on the show. Roxanne Perez runs in after the match to attack Valkyria.
With tandem moves, Asuka & Sane showcase why they are such a good team. The challengers rally just before the match goes through a split-screen commercial break.
They did some good near falls. Valkyria has to calm down Paxley at one point for being too aggressive. Later on, Valkyria inadvertently roundhouse kicks Paxley. Valkyria then walks into a back fist from Sane, and Valkyria takes a bump out of the ring. That leaves Paxley alone against the Kabuki Warriors. They do their slop drop/elbow drop combo finish, and Sane covers Paxley for a pinfall. The champs retain.
Roxanne Perez storms into the ring after the match, and she jumps Valkyria. Perez targets Valkyria arm. Valkyria sells big, and she is posted shoulder first. Perez then stomps on the arm while Valkyria is draped in the ropes. That leads to an injury angle, as a stretcher is brought out for Valkyria. She leaves the building in an ambulance.
Fallon Henley defeated Blair Davenport
Henley wins via pinfall, after interference by a returning Sol Ruca. That is an odd way to get Henley over as a babyface, but whatever. Henley does have new theme music that reminds of all the bad bro country songs on country music radio. Although, I admittedly might not be hip to what is a cool country song these days.
Davenport works an arm during the match, which might have been more effective in getting heat if we had not just seen an injury angle based on the same premise. Nonetheless, Henley makes a comeback. They take turns crashing into the ring steps as the fighting spills onto the floor.
Sol Ruca make a surprise return as she is perched on the barricade. Ruca does a cartwheel into a DDT on Davenport. Ruca then rolls Davenport into the ring, and Henley hits Davenport with a shining wizard. Henley then covers Davenport for a three count.
Thea Hail has a tag match booked next week against Kiana James & Izzi Dame, based on a skit from earlier in the show. Hail wants Jacy Jayne to be her partner, but Jayne says she is busy next week.
A goofy skit with NXT General Manager Ava, Gigi Dolan and Arianna Grace sets up a future match between Grace and Dolan. Grace will only agree to a bout if a stipulation is added to their grudge match. If Dolan loses, Grace gets to give her a makeover. Dolan accepts the stip.
Shawn Spears has a cryptic threat for Ridge Holland in a backstage interview. The match is later made official for next Tuesday on NXT.
No Quarter Catch Crew is in the ring to celebrate Charlie Dempsey having won the Heritage Cup. Dempsey is joined by Drew Gulak, Damon Kemp and Myles Borne. They reveal that although Dempsey won the Cup, the “Catch clause” stipulates that any member of No Quarter Catch Crew can defend the Cup in a match. This is basically a take off of Freebird rules.
Drew Gulak also announces they are entered in the upcoming tag team elimination tournament.
Suddenly, William Regal interrupts the Crew. Big pop for Regal for the live studio audience. They also welcome him back with chants. The crowd then starts a “that’s your father” chant directed at Dempsey, since Regal is his shoot father. Regal no sells that chant.
Regal talks about how personally he takes the Cup. Dempsey tells Regal he will defend the Cup “better than you ever could.” Regal smirks, and says he will be watching them.
The former Cup holder, Noam Dar, is in the Meta-Four lounge. He apparently has not spoken since losing the Cup. Lash Legend tries to comfort him. Dar suddenly snaps out of it, and he says the past is behind them. Dar talks about looking to the future. This was a silly skit, but it at least gave Meta-Four a new direction.
Mr. Stone is watching video of a promo Lexis King cut on social media. Von Wagner vows to smash King, but Stone tells Wager that Stone’s beef with King is personal. Stone asks Wagner to fight King alone, without Wagner in his corner.
Tony D’Angelo defeated Carmelo Hayes in a number one contender’s match
D’Angelo pinned Hayes, after a Hayes was distracted by Trick Williams theme song. Williams himself would return in angle that followed the match. The bout itself was somewhat lackluster for a main event, but it set the stage for Williams’ return. The show would end with the crowd going wild for Williams.
In the match, Hayes works over “The Don” as the match goes through a commercial break. Hayes works an arm, which is the third time we see that kind of strategy on this show. Could be a tribute of sorts to Ole Anderson, but it was nevertheless overdone on this card.
They trade near falls. Hayes makes a cocky cover after hitting his “First 48” finishing move. D’Angelo kicks out, much to the chagrin of Hayes. Climbing the turnbuckles, Hayes appears to set up for his guillotine finisher.
With Hayes perched on the top rope, cue Trick Williams’ entrance theme. Big pop from the live studio audience as Williams’ theme plays. The crowd chants “whoop that trick,” while Hayes’ personal security force awaits Williams’ arrival. However, it was swerve meant to fool Hayes.
A distracted Hayes is given a pop-up spinebuster by D’Angelo. The Don then executes his twisting neckbreaker for the finsih. D’Angelo hooks a leg and covers D’Angelo for the deciding pinfall.
The Don cuts a promo after the match, basically saying he has a “gift” for Hayes after deceiving him in the match. That gift was the actual return of Trick Williams.
Hayes’ security force is waiting for Williams to come down the ramp. Instead. Williams comes out of the crowd on the opposite side of the ring, and Williams slides into the ring. Williams jumps Hayes. The security teams tries to intervene, to no avail. Williams is a house of fire. He cleans house and clears the ring, all while the studio audience is going wild. Hot ending for the show.
Roxanne Perez faces off with a legendary challenger on tonight’s special edition of NXT.
NXT Roadblock features an NXT Women’s Championship match between Perez and Meiko Satomura. It will be the second time they’ve ever faced each other, with Satomura defeating Perez on NXT last September.
A grudge match will also take place as Gigi Dolin battles her former Toxic Attraction tag team partner Jacy Jayne. Toxic Attraction imploded with Jayne turning against Dolin last month.
Shawn Michaels will make an appearance, joining Grayson Waller on a new edition of The Grayson Waller Effect. Waller has been causing chaos in recent weeks after feeling disrespected by Michaels and NXT management.
A new match type will make its debut as Dijak and Tony D’Angelo face off in a Jailhouse Street Fight. NXT Champion Bron Breakker teams up with The Creed Brothers against Jinder Mahal & Indus Sher, and Andre Chase goes one-on-one with Joe Gacy.

Opening the show is a pre-tape featuring “Tiffany’s Epiphanies” hosted by Tiffany Stratton. She runs down the card and gives her thoughts. At Roadblock, all roads lead to Stand & Deliver in Los Angeles over WrestleMania weekend.
Kicking off the show live from the sounstage at the Performance Center is a gimmick match where the loser gets locked in a cell.
Tony D’Angelo (with Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo) defeats Dijak in a Jailhouse Street Fight
The rules are similar to a ambulance or casket match, except the prop is a cell. D’Angelo wins by putting Dijak into a cell and shutting the door. The match also played out like a WWE-style street fight. Other punder is used, like metal folding chairs, tables, a crowbar and such.
Dijak piles chairs into the ring just before the show is ready to take its first commercial break. Dijak goes to the top rope, but the chairs come back to bit him. D’Angelo cuts him off with a chair shot, and D’Angelo then suplexes Dijak off the top rope onto a pile of chairs in the ring.
Dijak turns the tables during a picture-in-picture break. He also sets up an actual table during the break, much to the delight of the live studeo audience. They chanted for tables earlier in the match.
Upon the show returning from the break, Dijak springboards off the top rope into a flying elbow drop on D’Angelo, who is laid out on the table. The table crumbles to pieces. Highlight reel type of spot.
Stacks interferes at one point, looking to help D’Angleo. That backfires when D’Angelo throws Dijak into the cell, and Dijak takes Stacks as a hostage. D’Angelo cannot bring himself to close the cell on Dijak while Dijak is choking out his charge. This allows Dijak to escape the cell, and he then boots Stacks in the face.
D’Angelo fights back, and he fires up on Dijak. Chairs shots by D’Angelo as Dijak feeds him his back. Low blow by Dijak to turn the tide. Dijak executes his Feast Your Eyes finisher, and Dijak goes to drag D’Angelo into the cell. Dijak is able to shut the door when Stacks throws himself in the way. Stacks takes Feast Your Eyes, and he is out.
The save by Stacks allows D’Angelo to recover, and D’Angelo gets up swinging a crowbar. Dijak eats shots from the crowbar, and D’Angelo slams the door in Dijak’s face to win the match.
Really good babyface promo by NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez in an interview with McKenzie Mitchell. Perez says beating a legend like Meiko Satomura means as much to her as winning the title altogether. Perez vows to leaving everything in the ring in trying to defend her title tonight.
Gallus and Pretty Deadly are face-to-face
NXT Tag Team Champions Gallus, dressed in street clothes, are heading to the ring to call out Pretty Deadly for a face-to-face meeting. Instead, Pretty Deadly appears on a perch overlooking the ring.
There is bantering back and forth, which leads to Pretty Deadly to challenge Gallus to defend their titles against them. Gallus takes off the straps, and they lay the belts into the ring. They dare Pretty Deadly to come take them.
Pretty Deadly charges to the ring, and Gallus cleans house. Gallus makes short work of Pretty Deadly, and Gallus boots them out of the ring. Pretty Deadly sure looked like geeks here. Nonetheless, this somehow sets up a tag title match for next week on NXT. The match is made official later in the show.
A vignette hypes Ilja Dragunov in his feud with JD McDonagh.
Dragon Lee in his NXT debut is seen in the front row at ringside. He waves to the crowd, and the announces put him over.
NXT Champion Bron Breakker, Julius Creed & Brutus Creed defeated JInder Mahal, Veer & Sanga in a six-man tag team match
Brutus Creed pins Veer to win this trios bout. It was a slobberknocker by the end.
Lumbering giants and hoss fights early on. The trios bout then goes through a commercial break. Just before the split screen break, Breakker and the Creeds jump over the ropes with a flip dive trifecta. Suddenly, a lumbering match looks more like Fantastica Mania.
Heat on Julius Creed, and he is being worked over as the show returns from the break. Meanwhile, Carmelo Hayes is now at the announe desk for surprise guest commentary. Hot tag to Brutus, but he is soon cut off. Brutus quickly comes back with feats of strength. Breakker does a moonsault, and Julius follows with a 2 Cold Scorpio 450 splash.
The teams trade near falls. Near fall as Veer saves Sanga from taking a pin. Indus Sher does the old Demoltion finisher, but that pinning attempt is also broken up. Amid a melee, Breakker delivers some spears. Veer strikes to take out Breakker.
The Creeds double team Veer, and he is placed in a Doomsday Device. Brutus then leaps off the top rope wth a cannoball on Veer, and Brutus covers Veer for a three count.
A promotional tie-in with Progressive insurance highlights the toxic feud between Gigi Dolan and Jacy Jayne.
Johnny Gargano returns to NXT on The Grayson Waller Effect with special guest Shawn Michaels
Waller welomes viewers “to the most important Grayson Waller Effect of all time.” He gets right into it as Waller introduces Shawm Michaels. Full entrance for HBK, as he dances on stage dressed like he is going to a country music awards show. The crowd sings HBK’s theme, and they chant his name. He is over huge of course.
Michaels sits down with Waller behind a desk. Waller starts with a zinger about Bret Hart. Michaels asks Waller what is his problem with Michaels. Waller says Michaels is doing to Waller what Vince McMahon did to Michaels — he is holding him back. Huge eye roll.
Waller keeps accusing Michaels of holding him down. Michaels scoffs at that, and Michaels says Waller is not “the guy” because Waller lost at Vengeance Day. Michaels tells Waller to look in the mirror.
Waller claims the only reason Micahaels is in charge of NXT is becuase his friend Hunter had a heart attack. Shots fired! Michaels deflects that zinger, with Shawn saying he stepped in to help out his friend.
Michaels tells Waller to get something straight — Triple H used to run NXT, but HBK is steering the ship now. Waller responds by saying that ship is headed into an iceberg. Waller rants some more about how he is being held back.
Michaels says Waller is a part of NXT, but only a part. Waller does not take this well. He sarcastically asks Michaels when did he suddenly become a team player. HBK admits during his active career it was all about him, but Michaels says that changed the moment he walked into NXT. HBK felt this place was special.
Waller gets up and mocks Michaels. He rants about being tired of this place, and Waller runs down the NXT brand. Michaels finally has enough, and he shouts “ENOUGH!” Head coach Shawn suddenly morphs fully into The Heartbreak Kid as Michaels proceeds to cut a promo on Waller.
HBK can handle someone running down his name, but he will not allow Waller to run down the NXT brand. Waller asks HBK if that pisses him off, and HBK says it does. Waller then dares HBK to do something about it. Michaels takes off his jacket and says nothing more would make him happy that kicking Waller’s ass. But there is someone else who wants to kick Waller’s ass even more than HBK.
Michaels introduces a returing Johnny Gargano as Waller’s opponent for Stand & Deliver. “Johnny Wrestling” is back in NXT to defend the honor of the brand. Gargano rushes into the ring and he peppers Waller with punches. Waller powders.
Gigi Dolan defeated Jacy Jayne
Dolan pinned Jayne, and Jayne attacks Dolan after the match to get her heat back.
They had a wrestling match to settle a blood feud. Granted, they brawled and worked hard, but this was anticlimatic. Escpeially considering the build to this match and the other gimmicks used on this show, this grudge match never felt intense enough.
Jayne gets the heat on Dolan as the live studo audience seems to mostly sit on their hands. There is some chants and such, but there seems to be a clear lack of energy. Dolan eventually fights back, and she counters Jayne with a curcifix bomb to score a pinfall on Jayne.
Jayne jumps Dolan after the match to get her heat back. Jayne gets a folding chair, and they tease Pillmanizing Jayne’s neck. Referees pour into the ring to break up the post-match beatdown.
A reoccuring skit on the show has Josh Briggs finally agreeing with Fallon Henley that Kaina James is cheating on Brooks Jensen. Henley knows just what to do about it.
Main event made for Stand & Deliver
NXT Champion Bron Breakker comes out in what is sold as an impromptu segment. Breakker comes to the ring and grabs a microphone. Breakker addresses the main event of Stand & Deliver, and he calls out Carmelo Hayes.
Out comes Hayes to confront Breakker in the ring. This leads to them both agreeing to a title match at Stand & Deliver.
Tyler Bate is doing breathing exercises with Thea Hail in a backstage skit. Bate is helping Hail overcome her trauma. Andre Chase is happy to hear it is helping Hail. However, Duke Hudson is not buying it.
Joe Gacy (with Ava & The Dyad) defeated Andre Chase (with Duke Hudson & Thea Hail)
The match begins during a commercial break and is joined in progress. Silly gimmicks aside, Chase and Gacy have a good match.
Hail is trying to do her breathing exercises, but she suddenly explodes with rage. Hail storms over to Ava and screams at her. Ava just smirks at Hail, but Hail has apparently overcome her fear.
While Hail might have overcome fear, her antics at ringside distracts Chase. He takes the Upside Down from Gacy, and Gacy covers Chase for a pinfall.
Hudson’s explodes in a backstage skit, and there is turmoil within Chase U. Hudson says they aren’t a university, they are a joke.
Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre are practicaing witchcraft, or something like that.
Another open challenge next week for NXT North Amercian Champion Wes Lee.
NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez defeated Meiko Satomura to retain her title
Perez pinned Satomura in a great match. Although Perez retains, she is unconsious after the match in an injury angle. In a takeoff of an angle with Shawn Michaels on Raw in the mid-90s, Perez takes a number of shots to the head. That leads into the injury angle after the match.
After the ring introductions, the match begins during a split-screen commercial break. The bout is joined in progress when the show returns from the break.
Satomura works a leg, but Perez is able to counter. Satomura plays subtle heel. Perez shows a ton of fire as she fights a mentor. Proverbially turning of the tables as Perez uses a dragon screw to target Satomura’s leg.
Perez fires up on Satomura, showing even more fire. Perez avoids Satomura’s finisher, and Perez leaps through the ropes with a dive outside the ring. They go on to tease a superplex and other spots on the top rope. Satomura goes for a splash, but Perez gets her knees up.
Satomura cuts off Perez with a lots of kicks. They trade near falls and they trade strikes down the home stretch. Combos and and a Saito suplex by Satomura, but Perez kicks out. Satomura uses a Death Valley Driver, and Satomura follows with a signature falling kick. Yet, Perez valiantly kicks out again.
The fight spills onto the apron, and they trade strikes and kicks. They fight on the floor, and Perez goes for Pop Rocks. Satomura blocks it somehow, and Satomura delivers a kick on the floor. Perez is rolled back into the ring, where she gets a foot on the bottom rope to break a count.
Satomura goes for her Scorpio Rising finisher, but Perez counters to roll up Satomura for a three count. Perez withstood the onslaught and retains her title. Perez is motionless as she lays face down in the ring. She is unconious as referees pour into the ring.
Booker T leaves the announce desk to check on Perez. Medical staff and referees tend to Perez as Satomura is in tears. Perez leaves on a stretcher. Shawn Michaels also comes out to check on Perez as she is taken to a waiting ambuance. Michaels is fittingly involved in an on-screen role with the injury angle, as he starred in a similar cliffanger years ago. The show closes with Perez being loaded into an ambulance.

Grayson Waller invited Shawn Michaels to be a part of the Grayson Waller Effect at NXT Roadblock in two weeks.
The end of Tuesday’s NXT saw Waller hijack the production truck. He said that he was taking things over and called himself the new showstopper and Mr. Stand and Deliver. He invited Shawn Michaels to a special edition of the Grayson Waller Effect at Roadblock on March 7.
Waller has had issues with Michaels since NXT Vengeance Day, when he interrupted a media call to tell Shawn Michaels that he was upset, and asked why he wasn’t one of his guys. As a result, Waller was suspended for a week. When he came back, he argued with Michaels backstage after losing to Tyler Bate in his return match.
In addition, Tony D’Angleo on Tuesday’s show challenged Dijak to a jailhouse street fight. The two have been feuding since Vengeance Day, when Dijak dived on both D’Angelo and Stacks.
A match between Meiko Satomura and Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship is set for the special edition of NXT.
The first match for NXT Roadblock appears to be set following the end of Tuesday’s NXT.
After Meiko Satomura and Roxanne Perez defeated Katana Chance and Kayden Carter, Satomura grabbed the microphone. She told Perez that since she did something for Perez, perhaps she could do something for her, pointing to the NXT Women’s Championship. Perez said it would be an honor as the two posed to end the program.
As the two were posing, announcer Vic Joseph repeatedly pushed that Satomura had now become “a roadblock” for Perez. Earlier in the show, it was announced that NXT Roadblock would take place on the March 7 edition of NXT.
On last week’s NXT, Chance and Carter confronted Perez, upset that they had lost the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles to Kiana James and Fallon Henley at Vengeance Day. Perez was sympathetic, but Chance and Carter continued to be upset and ultimately told Perez to find a tag team partner for next week. After Perez made a phone call, she announced that Satomura would be teaming with her.
Tuesday’s Roadblock edition of NXT averaged 613,000 viewers on the USA Network, up 11.3 percent from last week. It’s the best audience for the show since February 1 and is NXT’s fourth-best audience of 2022 so far.
The episode was headlined by Dolph Ziggler defeating Bron Breakker and Tommaso Ciampa in a triple threat match to win the NXT Championship.
In the 18-49 demo, NXT drew the same 0.13 rating as last week, matching the show’s best number in that category since January 25. With news stations dominating the charts as well as stronger-than-usual sports competition, NXT finished 55th for the night on cable in the demo.
As compared to the same week in 2021, NXT was down 10 percent in overall viewers but up 8.3 percent in 18-49. That’s being compared to when the show was in its last few weeks of airing head-to-head with AEW Dynamite on Wednesdays.
