Miro made his return to AEW tonight, wrestling Johnny Elite on tonight’s Dynamite.
After Elite was in the ring, a video appeared with Miro saying that his neck was healed and has returned to redeem everyone. He then defeated Elite in a match, submitting him with the Game Over.
Miro had been gone from AEW since last November, last wrestling Bryan Danielson at Full Gear in the AEW World Title Eliminator tournament final. He reportedly signed a four-year extension with AEW earlier this year.
He had also recently been seen in a trailer for the upcoming CBS series ‘East New York’, where he appears in the pilot as the character Nikolai Dushkin.
Miro signed with AEW back in 2020, initially aligned with Kip Sabian. He later won the TNT Championship, losing the title to Sammy Guevara on September 29 of last year. He had replaced Jon Moxley in the World Title Eliminator tournament and made it to the finals before losing to Danielson.
Miro is featured in a trailer for the new CBS television series, “East New York.”
He plays the character of Nikolai Dushkin in the series pilot. In the trailer, his character can be heard asking for a lawyer during a police interrogation.
“Regina Haywood is the newly promoted deputy inspector of East New York, a working-class neighborhood at the edge of Brooklyn. She leads a diverse group of officers and detectives, some of whom are reluctant to deploy her creative methods of serving and protecting in the midst of social upheaval and the early seeds of gentrification,” reads a description of the show.
Miro hasn’t wrestled since AEW Full Gear on November 13, 2021. He was defeated by Bryan Danielson that night in the finals of the world title eliminator tournament.
In March, it was reported that Miro signed a contract extension with AEW that will keep him with the company through “at least the start of 2026.”
Even though he hasn’t been in an AEW ring since November 2021, Miro’s future with the company appears to be firm as Fightful reported Wednesday that the former TNT Champion has signed a four-year extension.
They reported the deal will keep Miro in AEW through “at least the start of 2026.” They added that the two sides agreed to terms in late-2021, but that it took some time for the contract to get officially signed.
Outside a handful of short vignettes, Miro hasn’t been seen in AEW since his November 13th Full Gear loss to Bryan Danielson in the finals of the World title eliminator tournament.
No reason has been given for his absence. He has wrestled just twice since losing the TNT title to Sammy Guevara on the September 29th Dynamite — both in November.
After being released by WWE in April 2020, the former Rusev debuted in AEW on September 9, 2020, as Kip Sabian’s best man for his impending wedding to Penelope Ford.
He eventually split with Sabian and went on his own as a singles wrestler, defeating Darby Allin for the TNT title in May 2021 and holding it until the aforementioned Guevara defeat.
The finals are set for the AEW World title eliminator tournament at the November 13 Full Gear pay-per-view following tonight’s Dynamite.
Serving as a substitute for Jon Moxley, Miro defeated Orange Cassidy by submission with Game Over to advance to the tournament finals. He will meet Bryan Danielson at Full Gear to determine the top contender to the AEW World Championship.
Danielson served as a guest commentator for the Miro vs. Cassidy match, then got into the ring for a brief staredown with Miro as Dynamite came to a close.
Six matches are now official for Full Gear. Here is the lineup:
AEW Full Gear, Saturday, November 13, 7 p.m. Eastern time on pay-per-view —
AEW World Championship: Kenny Omega (c) vs. Hangman Page
AEW Women’s World Championship: Britt Baker (c) vs. Tay Conti
AEW World title eliminator tournament finals: Bryan Danielson vs. Miro
AEW World Tag Team Championship: The Lucha Brothers (c) vs. FTR
Darby Allin vs. MJF
Minneapolis street fight: Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Jake Hager, Santana & Ortiz vs. Scorpio Sky, Ethan Page, Junior dos Santos, Andrei Arlovski & Dan Lambert
Guevara won the title in the main event of tonight’s Dynamite, defeating Miro. The finish had Miro exposing a turnbuckle in one of the ring corners. Fuego Del Sol, however, distracted Miro long enough for Sammy to dropkick Miro into the exposed turnbuckle. Guevara eventually laid out Miro and pinned him following a 630 splash.
Miro held the championship for 140 days, defeating Darby Allin on the May 12 edition of Dynamite. He had most recently defended the title against Fuego Del Sol on the episode of Rampage that aired on September 17. Miro put the title up against Fuego’s new car that he bought as a result of signing with AEW. After the match, Miro continued to attack Fuego until Guevara made the save, setting the stage for tonight’s match.
Following his title win, Bobby Fish tweeted that he wanted the first shot at Guevara. In a promo that aired during the first commercial break of Rhodes to the Top, Guevara accepted Fish’s challenge.
Miro will defend the TNT Championship against Sammy Guevara on tonight’s AEW Dynamite.
Miro has managed eight successful TNT title defenses since winning the belt from Darby Allin in May. The match will be Guevara’s first on Dynamite since defeating Shawn Spears on the August 18 edition of the show.
Adam Cole will be in action against Jungle Boy. Cole and The Young Bucks defeated Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus and Christian Cage on last week’s AEW Rampage Grand Slam.
Cody Rhodes and Lee Johnson of The Nightmare Family will team against Matt Sydal and Top Flight’s Dante Martin.
Penelope Ford and The Bunny will face Tay Conti and Anna Jay. Ford defeated Jay on last week’s Rampage.
Tonight’s show will be held in Rochester, New York, the hometown of the late Brodie Lee. Tony Khan announced on Twitter that the show will be dedicated to Lee’s memory.
Under the leadership of Brodie Lee Jr., Dark Order will face the Hardy Family Office in a 16-man tag match tonight.
Our live coverage begins at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

Adam Cole defeated Jungle Boy
This was a really excellent match all around. Both men have some pretty remarkable chemistry already. I’m exasperated with low blow endings from the Elite, however.
They wrestled around early on with some back-and-forth exchanged but neither man could establish an advantage. Jungoe Boy got the first big shot with a shoulder tackle. He later hit his step-up arm drag followed by a dropkick, sending Cole to the floor.
Back in the ring, Jungle Boy tried to fight off an attack by scaling the turnbuckles, but Cole pushed him down, sending him crashing to the floor. Cole slowed down the pace of the match, repeatedly whipping Jungle Boy into the turnbuckles. Jungle Boy fired up with a strike sequence and a rebound lariat.
They traded big strikes in the center of the ring, concluding with thrust kicks. Jungle Boy hit a belly-to-belly suplex followed by a German, bridging for two. He perched Cole in the tree of woe and closed in with a basement dropkick for two.
A cradle from Cole bought him some space for a two-count. Cole then hit a backstabber and the ushigoroshi for a near fall. Cole taunted, but Jungle Boy popped up with a reverse hurricanrana and a sliding forearm for a near fall. Jungle Boy then hit almost a modified Death Valley driver for another near fall.
Cole surprised Jungle Boy with a superkick, sending him to the floor. He thought about Panama Sunrise to the floor, Jungle Boy went for a dive instead, but Cole cut it off with a dropkick. Jungle Boy hit a sick hurricanrana over the top rope that sent Cole to the floor.
Upon re-entry, Cole crushed Jungle Boy with a superkick. He then hit the Panama Sunrise for a good near fall. He moved the knee pad and went for the Last Shot, but Jungle Boy avoided it and locked Cole in the Snare Trap. Jungle Boy had to re-apply his grip, and Cole used that separation to mule kick Jungle Boy low with the referee’s view obscured. Cole then hit the running knee (the former Last Shot) for the win.
– After the match, the Elite came out to celebrate with Cole through a commercial break. Once back, Karl Anderson talked up the Elite. To be Elite, you need to be the AEW World Champion or the greatest tag team of all time.
Cole said that he called his shot, beating Jungle Boy by himself. He’s undefeated. Brandon Cutler tried to say something but was cut off by Nick Jackson, who gave the mic to Michael Nakazawa, leading to “CM Punk” chants. Nakazawa said he had nothing to say.
Omega talked about all the positive response and accolades about how great his match with Bryan Danielson was. He said Danielson couldn’t get the job done, and he’s not getting a rematch. Loud “Yes!” chants.
Danielson’s music played and he walked out. He asked the fans if they wanted to see a rematch between him and Omega. They do, in fact, want a rematch. Danielson said Omega doesn’t have the balls. “Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Kenny ‘No Balls’ Omega.” Omega was livid. Danielson challenged any member of the Elite for a match at Rampage.
Omega said, “how about right now?” Danielson obliged, but said he wasn’t coming alone. Frankie Kazarian, Jurassic Express, and Christian Cage came out for backup as the Elite escaped up the ramp.
**********
The Lucha Bros were backstage. Andrade El Idolo walked up and congratulated them on their championships before asking where PAC was. Andrade’s assistant pointed out they hadn’t defended the AAA tag titles in a long time. Fénix said they’d defend them anytime, anywhere.
**********
Cody Rhodes & Lee Johnson (w/ Brandi Rhodes & Arn Anderson) defeated Dante Martin & Matt Sydal
This match had phenomenal intensity. All four men were extremely motivated tonight for whatever reason. The post-match was enthralling.
Cody, Johnson, and Arn were selling discontent from the very start. Cody and Dante started off and wrestled around before tagging in their partners. The high-flyers had the upper hand on Cody and Johnson for a moment. Dante and Johnson had a really entertaining athletic exchange before it broke down ahead of the break.
Johnson was in control on Sydal upon return. A dropkick bought Sydal enough time to tag in Dante as Johnson tagged in Cody. Cody’s snap powerslam got two, but then Dante’s tijeras took Cody down. A Disaster Kick took out Sydal. Cody then hit Din’s Fire for a near fall.
Sydal took out Johnson, then Dante came in with a springboard missile dropkick on Cody for two. Dante followed it up with a double-springboard moonsault for two more. Johnson forcefully tagged himself in and booted Sydal in the jaw. Dante rolled Johnson up for a good near fall. Johnson came back with a shoulder breaker for the win.
– After the match, Schiavone entered the ring to interview the winners. Cody challenged Malakai Black to come out, but Arn talked him down and told him to stop talking. Arn said that Black systematically destroyed every one of them. He told Cody that he should’ve finished that fight. He got into a metaphor about Cody being too passive. Arn’s not going to coach a loser; “Come with me, Lee.” Arn and Johnson left Cody in the ring.
**********
Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston, & Darby Allin (w/ Sting) defeated Bear Country (Bear Boulder & Bear Bronson) & Anthony Greene
The babyface team attacked before the bell. Allin immediately rolled up Greene with La Magistral before taking him down with a deep arm drag. Kingston hit the Kitchen Sink. Moxley and Boulder tagged in. Boulder shrugged off some shoulder tackles and a slap, catching a crossbody and planting Moxley with a powerslam. Bronson landed a running senton for two.
Kingston cut off a double team from Bear Country and just crumpled Bronson with a German suplex. Moxley did the same to Boulder. Greene tagged himself in as Allin took out Bear Country with a Coffin Drop. Moxley and Kingston shrugged off a springboard crossbody from Greene and hit the Violent Crown for the quick win.
– After the match, Sting hit a Scorpion Death Drop on Greene.

A video package recapped Britt Baker vs. Ruby Soho from last week.

Hardy Family Offices were in the ring. Hardy said that a year and a half ago, he was supposed to make his debut in Rochester. That was deleted, because Rochester is an awful town and doesn’t deserve a legend like Hardy. Orange Cassidy’s music interrupted and he and the Dark Order made their entrances. Brodie Lee Jr. (-1) posed with the Dark Order on the apron.
Orange Cassidy & Dark Order (Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, Alex Reynolds, John Silver, Alan Angels, 10, and Colt Cabana) defeated Hardy Family Office (Matt Hardy, Marq Quen, Isiah Kassidy, Butcher, Blade, Angélico, Jack Evans, & Jora Johl)
Much like the Brodie Lee memorial show, this match could not have possibly been done better.
Dark Order showed disagreement right from the start. Angels unmasked himself and argued with Uno, allowing Butcher and Blade to hit a double team suplex for a quick near fall. Private Party hit an assisted bulldog flapjack for another two. Orange tagged in and put his hands in his pockets, taking down both members of Private Party with a dropkick. The match broke down into a sixteen-way ahead of the commercial.
Reynolds got a hot tag upon return. He and Uno tentatively worked together to take out Angélico, but more miscommunication got in the way. Orange tagged in and hit a top-rope splash for two. Uno walked out on his team. The match broke down once again.
-1, Amanda Huber, Tay Conti, and Anna Jay walked out to talk some sense into Uno and company. -1 tossed a paper into Uno’s face and they ran back into the ring. Everyone in the Dark Order landed dives followed by 10 hitting an insane spear through the ropes to the floor. Silver brought out the most ridiculous sequence of offense you’ll ever see, taking out everyone.
10 planted Johl with a spinebuster, Orange took out Hardy with the Orange Punch, Silver and Reynolds hit their combo offense, and Uno and Grayson hit Fatality for the win.

A Lio Rush promo aired. He said Tony Khan’s been calling him nonstop. He’s got a stock market speculator gimmick. “L.B.O. Lio.”
**********
FTR and Tully Blanchard cut a promo. Dax said they are revitalized, rejuvenated, and re-focused — that’s bad news for the rest of the division. “Top guys, out.”
**********
Dan Lambert was in the ring with the Men of the Year. He said he was here to pay Chris Jericho a compliment. He took this terrible company, joined it, and somehow it’s still standing. When Jericho decided to confront America’s Top Team, that was the end of his career. They’ve chopped off the head of the AEW snake, and made it more difficult for Tony Khan to peddle his snake oil. Loud “Shut the f*ck up” chants.
Scorpio Sky mentioned he was one of the first champions in AEW and won the Face of the Revolution ladder match — and it still wasn’t good enough. Lambert was paying attention, and he sees what the fans ignore: that Sky is a main eventer. Page has two black belts and has never been pinned or submitted in AEW. They’re done being overlooked. America’s Top Team and Men of the Year are *the* top team.
**********
A miraculous Hikaru Shida promo aired. She’s trying for her 50th win in AEW, and she will face Deeb. Deeb called herself the “woman of 1000 holds,” saying she’d submit Shida. They will face off at next week’s Dynamite Anniversary.
**********
Anna Jay & Tay Conti defeated Penelope Ford & The Bunny
Jay and Conti attacked before the bell and suplexed their opponents out on the floor. Conti hit repeated judo throws and tagged in Jay. They hit combination offense, but Ford and Bunny sent Conti to the floor and used the numbers advantage to isolate Jay in the ring.
Upon return, Conti got the hot tag and ran wild on Ford. She landed a nice springboard crossbody and hit an assisted suplex for two. Ford used a backbend to avoid a clothesline from Jay and hit a stunner followed by a fireman’s carry gutbuster for two. Jay rolled out of the way of a moonsault attempt as Conti hit the Tay-KO on Bunny on the floor. Jay then hit the Dangerous Jay kick followed by the Queenslayer sleeper for the win.

Jade Cargill vs. Thunder Rosa vs. Nyla Rose in a no disqualification three-way match was announced for Rampage this Friday. They each cut brief promos.

MJF came out with Wardlow. He wants to make this company successful as long as he’s given what he deserves. He brought up the concept of AEW’s four original future star pillars: Jungle Boy, Sammy Guevara, Darby Allin, and the most important, MJF. Without MJF, this company “ain’t sh*t.” He deserves to be AEW world champion.
He called out Tony Khan, saying he needs to start to listen to MJF’s demands. He teased bringing out Bruce Prichard, but then Darby Allin’s music played and he interrupted. MJF cut Allin off before he could speak, saying it’d be fine to just be a #2 guy. Allin’s Pippen, but MJF’s Jordan.
Allin asked if he was done talking and demanded that MJF leave if he doesn’t get what he wants. Nobody will care. “How can you be a pillar if I’m the only one who’s won a championship?”
MJF got hot and asked if the crowd knew why Allin is straight edge: because when Allin was a kid, his uncle died in a drunk driving accident with Allin in the car. MJF said that that night, the wrong man died, and demanded that Allin hit him. Allin wouldn’t budge, telling MJF to keep talking. MJF and Wardlow slinked off without a fight.

A video promo recapped Miro vs. Fuego Del Sol and hyped up Miro’s upcoming match against Sammy Guevara.
TNT Championship: Sammy Guevara defeated Miro (c) to win the title
This was a wonderful title match with a thrilling title change.
Miro avoided a running knee right at the start and countered a second before laying in stomps and strikes. Guevara got some brief offense but was immediately cut off with a back elbow. Miro used Guevara’s chain to choke him. Guevara fired up and used a high crossbody to send both men crashing to the floor. Guevara sidestepped a running attack from Miro, sending him hard into the ring steps.
Back in the ring, Guevara went for a shooting star press. Miro somehow caught it and turned it into an overhead belly-to-belly suplex ahead of a commercial. Miro was firmly in control upon return to the broadcast. He countered the jumping knee once again with a German suplex. Guevara finally started his comeback with a standing Spanish Fly.
Guevara flipped out of a German and avoided a corner splash, sending Miro to the floor. He then landed an insane running dive over the corner post to the outside. Back inside, Miro avoided a crossbody and hit a black hole slam for two. He called for Game Over, but Guevara surprised him with two rising knees. He climbed the ropes, but Miro cut him off as they jockeyed for position.
Miro was sent crashing to the mat and Guevara landed a diving uppercut. Guevara wanted the GTH, but Miro fought out and hit his signature thrust kick for a near fall. Miro was frustrated as he started ripping turnbuckles off. Fuego Del Sol ran out and got in Miro’s face. The distraction allowed Guevara to hit the rising knee, sending Miro into the exposed turnbuckle.
Guevara hit the tornado DDT aand the GTH. He then scaled the ropes and landed the 630 senton to win the match and the championship.
– Confetti fell from the rafters as Guevara celebrated with Fuego and company to end the show.

Final Thoughts —
I don’t often do a “Final Thoughts” section on these reviews as I’m just a recapper, but I wanted to highlight how excellent this show was: This was one of the best editions of Dynamite in history. There were four thrilling matches, entertaining promo segments, returns, and surprises. Above it all, Tony Khan continued his unbelievably perfect treatment of Brodie Lee’s memory with that beautiful, emotional Dark Order match. After a run of middling shows (in my humble opinion), this show has me buzzing.
Miro will defend the TNT Championship against Eddie Kingston at AEW All Out on September 5.
Miro vs. Kingston was made official during this week’s Rampage show. Miro was attacking Fuego Del Sol when Kingston ran out to make the save. Miro and Kingston had a brief pull-apart to set up the bout for All Out.
Miro won the TNT title from Darby Allin on AEW Dynamite on May 28. He has since made successful defenses against Dante Martin, Lance Archer, Evil Uno, Brian Pillman Jr., Lee Johnson and Fuego Del Sol.
Ten matches are now official for All Out. Here is the lineup:
AEW All Out, Sunday, September 5 —
AEW World Championship: Kenny Omega (c) vs. Christian Cage
AEW World Tag Team Championship steel cage match: The Young Bucks (c) vs. Lucha Bros
AEW Women’s World Championship: Britt Baker (c) vs. Kris Statlander
CM Punk vs. Darby Allin
TNT Championship: Miro (c) vs. Eddie Kingston
Chris Jericho vs. MJF, if Jericho loses he must retire
The next challenger for TNT Champion Miro has been revealed.
During AEW Dark: Elevation Monday, the champion came out after Lee Johnson’s victory over Luther and gave him the news that he will get his shot at Homecoming on August 4th.
This will be Johnson’s first title opportunity in AEW. The win Monday got him back on the winning track after he lost to Jungle Boy recently, which snapped a six-match singles winning streak.
Since debuting in AEW in September, Miro is undefeated in singles action. Since defeating Darby Allin for the title in March, he is 4-0 in title defenses.
The only other match announced for the company’s return to Jacksonville, Florida, will see Malakai Black make his AEW in-ring debut against Cody Rhodes.
CJ Perry, the former Lana in WWE, talked to Chris Jericho on his podcast about her WWE tenure, getting released, and what she hopes her future holds — as long as it has a no-cut clause.
She said she was completely blindsided by getting the call from John Laurinaitis and thought it was about an outside TV project WWE had just given approval to. She got the call when a lot of her family was at a house she and husband Miro are renting so she could train more. Her heart dropped when she got the call, but she was also relieved.
Perry said she was texting with Mandy Rose at the time so she was the first person to know, followed by Natalya who she called. Budget cuts were given as the reason and she was glad it was Laurinaitis who gave her the news as he’s more business-like than Mark Carrano would have been.
She said Vince McMahon texted her to thank her for her contributions and work ethic. Perry was very complimentary of McMahon, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Brian “Road Dogg” James and Billy Gunn for helping develop the Lana character in NXT and her WWE work. McMahon scripted her promos for her first year in WWE.
She isn’t sure what’s next as it’s only been three weeks and she has a 90-day non-compete. She doesn’t want to be done with wrestling and felt like she was improving in the ring, working out of TJ Wilson and Natalya’s ring on the side to get better. If it is wrestling, she wants a no-cut clause due to the constant state of fear of being released wrestlers have.
She said it was hard to say goodbye to the Lana character as so much of it was what she wishes she could be.
On the Survivor Series match last year where she backed into a win by not really doing anything, Perry thought it would have got over bigger had it been in front of fans. McMahon wanted the finish as he and Shane McMahon thought it was hilarious if she didn’t get in there at all because it had never been done. There was supposed to be a table spot in the match, but there was pushback from Roman Reigns because of a planned table spot in his match that night.
She talked a lot about the ThunderDome era and how working in front of no fans was difficult. She turned to social media to get feedback and was overwhelmed with the negativity. She was happy to be out of the Performance Center and live in the ThunderDome because McMahon couldn’t “rethink the show and rewrite things 17 times.” She also told a story of how she was once on set for 19 hours just to do a 60-second backstage segment.
She said she was surprised by how much she gets buried on Twitter and “the dirt sheets” and feels she resonates with a live crowd much more than with the Internet. Jericho said the live audience is reflective of 90% of the overall audience while the real hardcore fans are about 10%.
In the hour-plus podcast, Perry also talked about the rise of the Rusev/Lana team and why it got split up, his release, getting put through a table for nine straight weeks, and the heat she got for her engagement picture to Rusev/Miro getting to social media even though she didn’t post it.
Three matches were announced for the June 30 edition of AEW Dynamite.
The show, which will be the final show at the Dalys Place before going back on tour, will include Miro defending the TNT title against Brian Pillman Jr., a tag team match with Britt Baker & Rebel facing Nyla Rose & Vickie Guerrero, and MJF vs. Sammy Guevara.
All three matches were set up on this week’s Dynamite. Miro attacked Pillman’s tag team partner Griff Garrison, causing him to retaliate. The two eventually had to be split apart by referees. Vickie Guerrero challenged Baker and Rebel, saying Tony Khan made the match as a favor to her after she brought in Andrade el Idolo to AEW. Guevara attacked MJF after MJF attacked Dean Malenko while he tried to stop The Pinnacle from attacking Chris Jericho and Jake Hager.
After June 30, AEW will return to live touring with a show in Miami on July 7 called Road Rager. A South Beach strap match between Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall has been announced for that card.
The TNT Championship will be on the line on tonight’s Friday Night Dynamite as Miro defends the title against The Dark Order’s Evil Uno.
Following their win over PAC and Penta El Zero Miedo on last week’s show, The Young Bucks will be in action again tonight. They will team with Brandon Cutler against PAC, Penta and Eddie Kingston. It was Cutler’s interference last week that cost PAC and Penta their match.
The Pinnacle will speak for the first time since their Stadium Stampede loss at the Double or Nothing PPV.
Cody Rhodes has teased a match announcement that will take place during an interview segment with Tony Schiavone. Sting and Darby Allin will also make an announcement on the show.
AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and Don Callis have promised to air footage that proves a conspiracy exists to force Omega to lose the AEW title.
Christian Cage will be in action against Angelico. Hangman Page and Preston “10” Vance will face Team Taz’s Brian Cage and Powerhouse Hobbs.
In the women’s division, Nyla Rose will take on Leyla Hirsch.
Lance Archer will also be in action tonight.
Our live coverage begins at 10 p.m. Eastern time.

Matt Hardy, flanked by The Hybrid2, addressed Christian Cage. He said Christian was jealous of how much money Hardy’s made, and that he would never financially recover from this. Angélico’s mission in this match is to injure Christian.
Christian Cage defeated Angélico (w/ Matt Hardy & Jack Evans)
They performed chain wrestling early on, with Angélico getting the better of Christian. Christian smacked him and did the ten punches in the corner. He stayed on the top rope, but Angélico cut him off and brought him down hard. Angélico targeted Christian’s arm.
Christian fought back with a couple strikes and a sunset flip, but Angélico tried to turn it into the Navarro Death Roll before landing a soccer kick. He locked on a modified juji gatame, forcing Christian to reach the ropes to break it. Christian made his comeback with a reverse tornado DDT.
A missile dropkick from Christian got two. Angélico sent Christian to the floor and Jack Evans tried to get involved, but Christian scared him away and hit a neckbreaker over the ropes. A diving headbutt followed for two.
Angélico wrenched Christian’s arm to take him down, but Christian countered a dive with an up kick and cradled him for two. A kick and a jackknife pin from Angélico got two of his own. They conked heads on a ripcord, leading to a double down.
Christian avoided a corner attack and hit a pendulum kick followed by a diving uppercut. He went for the Killswitch, stared Hardy down, and hit it for the win.
– Evans attacked after the match, but Christian fought him off. Hardy used the numbers advantage to hit a Twist of Fate. Jungle Boy ran out for the save.

Cody Rhodes interview
Schiavone announced that Brock Anderson, the son of Arn, would be making his debut next week in a tag team match — teaming with Cody Rhodes against QT Marshall and Aaron Solow. He brought out Cody, Arn, and Brock.
Cody said that next week, Brock would steal home base and hit a home run. It’s a tough standard that dads have for us, but if anyone can do it, Brock can. Cody wants revenge himself, considering last week he was beaten by Anthony Ogogo.
Marshall interrupted and said he pinned Cody in the middle of the ring all by himself, just like he came out all by himself. He told Cody he’d had enough with the nepotism and passion projects. When they go back on the road, Marshall wants a full house to see him whoop Cody’s ass. He proposed a South Beach strap match.
Cody wanted to do the match now, but after cooler heads prevailed, Marshall whipped Arn with his belt. Brock took Marshall down with a Thesz press before officials ran out to break it up.

A video promo played where Kingston said “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” He said they’d have to work together tonight, but PAC just stared silently and walked off.
Don Callis joined commentary for the match.
Eddie Kingston, PAC, & Penta El Zero Miedo defeated The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) & Brandon Cutler
PAC and Matt started off, with the babyface team easily beating Matt down. The Bucks forced Cutler to tag in, where he was immediately taken down by PAC. Kingston wanted to tag in, but PAC ignored him to tag in Penta, who hit a diving stomp to the rear for two. Penta ripped open Cutler’s tracksuit and starched him with a chop.
Kingston tagged in and hit repeated knees to the gut followed by a stomp for two. He followed it up with a vertical suplex and an elbow drop for another two. PAC tagged himself in, leading Kingston and him to exchange words, but PAC took the fight to Cutler and implored the Bucks to tag in. Matt did, and was immediately taken out with a hip toss and a dropkick. Nick tripped entering the ring but tripped up PAC, allowing Matt to hit a dropkick ahead of the commercial.
The Bucks and Cutler controlled throughout the break. Once back, PAC kicked his way out to reach Kingston for the hot tag. Kingston sent Matt flying with a belly-to-belly before taking out Nick with an exploder. Penta tagged in with a diving crossbody on both Bucks. Cutler controlled Penta, but Penta got out of the way on double superkicks. Penta rolled out of a cazadora into a destroyer on Nick.
Cutler swept out Penta’s legs but inadvertently ate a kick from Matt for his trouble. Penta hit Made in Japan, but Cutler ran in and broke up the pin. PAC tagged in and Kingston stopped Cutler from hitting PAC with the camera. We got a parade of big moves, concluded with a step-up tope from Penta.
PAC hit the 450 splash on Matt and transitioned into the Brutalizer, but Nick broke it up. Kingston cut off Nick with a boot, then he and PAC hit stereo dives to the outside. Matt rolled PAC up with a handful of tights for a good near fall. PAC laid in kicks, but a kick from Nick allowed Matt to hit an enziguiri-assisted buckle bomb. Cutler tagged in, but PAC avoided a springboard leg drop. Kingston killed Cutler with a spinning back fist, allowing PAC to pin him for the win.
– The Bucks immediately attacked after the match, joined by the arriving Good Brothers. Frankie Kazarian ran out to even the odds, crushing Cutler with a running lariat for good measure.

The Pinnacle Speaks
Harwood said that Stadium Stampede didn’t go the way they wanted it to go. He called out Santana & Ortiz, saying they and FTR weren’t that different — they both overcame adversity and made something of themselves. The difference is that Santana and Ortiz lost their edge. Harwood’s got a wife and kid, and he uses his edge to fill his bank account. Wheeler doesn’t have a family, and he doesn’t give a sh*t about theirs. FTR works together to build their legacy, while Santana and Ortiz are happy being a footnote.
Spears said that Guevara got lucky. It’s ridiculous that Jericho called him a “hero” last week. Guevara’s nothing more than a glorified indie wrestler. The Pinnacle are professionals, and Spears is the hero.
Wardlow said that Hager is obsessed with him. He brings out the best in Hager. Hager invited Wardlow to his comfort zone, because he knows he could never beat Wardlow in a wrestling ring. No matter where they are, they’re always in Wardlows world. He accepts Hager’s challenge.
MJF is tired of acting like he has something to prove when he’s already the best. Being the best is daunting, and it bring pressure. He grew up idolizing Jericho – he watched every promo and read every book. Back in 2019, after the Double or Nothing rally, MJF saw Jericho backstage. His heart was beating a million miles a minute because he’d have the opportunity to work with Jericho. That should’ve been a dream come true, but it wasn’t.
That haunted MJF at night, until it hit him: he had been idolizing a false god. He thought he would be like Jericho, but Jericho’s not even on MJF’s level. He’s already beaten Jericho twice, so his match request is denied.
MJF then addressed Guevara, calling him a “chickensh*t.” Guevara doesn’t belong in a ring with MJF because he’s better than him and he knows it.
Jericho appeared on the video board. The Pinnacle knows what happens when they don’t give the Inner Circle what they want. They can talk it over as they’re walking home. The camera panned over to the Pinnacle smashing the Inner circle’s limo with sledgehammers and Floyd. Santana slashed the tires and Ortiz spray-painted the side. Hager appeared with a forklift, ramming through the side of the limo and lifting it up. Guevara said he’d fight MJF any day of the week.

Darby Allin answered Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page’s challenge. He said he wouldn’t replace Sting next week: he wants a handicap match. He told Sting to stay home. Sting was concerned, but Allin said “I’m not stupid,” and he wants to prove to them he can beat them. Sting said Allin’s got nothing to prove. Allin told Sting to stay home, and after some hesitation, they bumped fists.

A video played where Evil Uno talked about his relationship with Mr. Brodie Lee. He called him “one of his best friends.” Uno would be thrilled to see any Dark Order member win the TNT Championship, but he selfishly wants it for himself. He wants to make Brodie Lee proud. Miro’s going to find out just how devious Uno can be.

TNT Championship: Miro (c) defeated Evil Uno (w/ Dark Order)
This was genius.
Miro overpowered Uno right away. He laid in body shots until Uno came back with knife-edged chops. Miro shrugged them off, but was sent to the floor, selling frustration. He dragged Uno to the floor, but Uno avoided a right hand as Miro punched the ring post. A cannonball senton followed.
Back in the ring, Miro cut Uno off with a back suplex, beating him down throughout a commercial. Once back, a running shoulder block from Miro sent Uno to the floor. Stu Grayson and Alan Angels ran out to fire Uno up, and Uno barely made it back in the ring at the nine count.
Miro rolled to the floor and sent Grayson over the barricade before pursuing Angels. Uno came back with a jawbreaker before laying in forearms. A running hurricanrana took down Miro, as did a Brodie Lee-esque big boot. Uno climed to the top rope and landed a senton atomico, but Miro kicked out at one.
-1 and the rest of the Dark Order ran out to cheer on Uno. Uno stomped on Miro’s hands and landed another forearm, but Miro caught a crossbody and rolled Uno up for two. Miro was sent into the turnbuckle on the kickout, and Uno covered for a good near fall.
Uno called for the Brodie Lee discus lariat, but Miro shrugged it off and leveled Uno with a lariat of his own. Miro locked on Game Over, forcing Uno to tap.

An Andrade El Idolo video package aired. It was mostly just him putting on a suit. His name was captioned with “Face of Latinos.” Next week, he will sit down with Jim Ross.

Kenny Omega & Don Callis interview
Callis called Jungle Boy a one-hit wonder for outlasting 20 men in the Casino Battle Royale. Omega’s not going to act like Jungle Boy is some incredible challenger for the title, but he can’t bring himself to say anything disparaging about him, because he sees a little bit of Omega in himself. One day, Jungle Boy might be champion, but there’s something Jungle Boy is missing.
Omega asked what Jungle Boy is missing, and Callis said he didn’t have the guts. Jungle Boy’s music played, and he came out. Omega said he’s surprised because he’s never known Jungle Boy to be a promo guy. He knows Jungle Boy has nothing to say, because he doesn’t have the guts. He asked Callis if anyone was better on the mic than him, and Callis said no. He gave Jungle Boy five seconds to speak.
Jungle Boy simply said “you talk way too much.” Omega tried to cheap shot Jungle Boy with the microphone, but Jungle Boy avoided it. Omega raked Jungle Boy’s eyes. Jungle Boy fought out and tried to lock Omega in the Snare Trap, but the Young Bucks ran out for the save.

Jade Cargill and Mark Sterling cut a promo. Sterling said that Cargill’s revenue was up by 43%. They’ve gotten rid of the hangers-on and the bamboozlers. Cargill’s got a family to feed, and they’re ensuring she can feed them. Cargill said they should capitalize on her catchphrase, and then she said it: “I’m that bitch.”

Scorpio Sky said he and Ethan Page gave Allin an opportunity, but he didn’t take it. This is the dumbest decision Allin’s ever made. Page said that actions have consequences. They’ve already done all these things to Allin – what’s he going to do when they pin him in the middle of the ring? It’s only up from here for the men of the year.
Archer attacked before the bell and cut off a quick springboard with a chokeslam. He hit Blackout for the squash victory.
**********
The Wingmen spoke. Nemeth said Orange Cassidy is poorly dressed, so they invited him to for a makeover. Either they can re-make his wardrobe, or Cezar Bononi can re-arrange his face.
**********
Nyla Rose (w/ Vickie Guerrero) defeated Leyla Hirsch
Rose attacked before the bell and hit a body slam. Hirsch surprised Rose with a cross armbreaker, forcing Rose to hit the ropes. She laid in repeated forearms and a shotgun dropkick, sending rose to the floor, but Rose intercepted the tope and sent Hirsch into the ring frame.
They brawled on the floor, with Hirsch avoiding a right hand as Rose punched the ring post (just like in the Miro match). Hirsch went for an armbar on the floor, but Rose fought out and sent Hirsch into the barricade. A powerslam from Rose got two ahead of the break.
Back from break, Hirsch landed a release German suplex and a Shining Wizard. She followed it up with a step-up moonsault, but Rose grabbed the ropes on the cover. Hirsch went for the cross armbreaker, but Rose powered out with a one-arm powerbomb.
Rose draped Hirsch over the top rope, but took too long to follow up. They fought up top, but Rose sent Hirsch to the mat. Hirsch popped up and went for a top-rope Frankensteiner, but Rose caught it and landed an avalanche Beast Bomb for the win.
– Britt Baker (joined by Rebel) was interviewed. She addressed Rose, saying she was mad about Rose interrupting her celebration. She admonished Rose for making fun of Hirsch’s height. Baker’s already the best champ in company history, but Rose has nothing. She’s just another “jealous bitch in the back.” This title makes Nyla Rose, but Baker makes the title, just like she makes the division. “Yours truly, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.”

Next week’s Dynamite lineup:
Matt Jackson & The Good Brothers vs. Eddie Kingston, Penta El Zero Miedo, & Frankie Kazarian
Cage and Page started off, with Cage repeatedly throwing shoulders into Page’s midsection. Page turned it around, beating Cage down in the corner. Both men had each other scouted, avoiding big moves, until Page hit a running shooting star press. Cage came back with a hip toss backbreaker.
10 made a blind tag and laid in strikes on Cage. He sent Cage into the corner and landed a running pump kick, but Hobbs cut him off with a kick, allowing Team Taz to take control. An assisted powerbomb got two as Hobbs tagged in. 10 got a brief flurry of offense but was cut off with a kitchen sink knee lift into the commercial.
Once back, 10 landed on his feet on an F-5 attempt and took down Cage with a pump kick. Hobbs made a blind tag, but 10 took him out with another pump kick, allowing him to reach Page for the hot tag. Hobbs shrugged off a lariat and a powerslam. Page went for a plancha on Cage, Cage caught him, but Page countered into a hurricanrana.
Back in the ring, a moonsault press from Page to Hobbs got two. He went for the Buckshot Lariat, but Hobbs cut him off with a running crossbody before 10 broke up the pin. A tijeras sent 10 into the ropes, where Cage hit a tiger feint kick, but Cage took him out with his springboard clothesline.
10 tagged in and hit a spinebuster on Hobbs. Hobbs forced 10 into the corner, allowing for a Cage tag. Cage landed a flurry of offense on 10 followed by a High Low with Hobbs, but 10 kicked out at two.
HOOK distracted the official and Starks threw Cage the belt, but Cage tossed it aside. Starks slapped Cage, and Cage pursued him to the back. 10 tried to take advantage, but Hobbs hit a spinebuster, with Page breaking up the pin at the last second. Hobbs sent Page to the floor, but 10 hit a ripcord cutter and Page hit the Buckshot Lariat, allowing 10 to pin Hobbs for the win.
– -1 and the rest of the Dark Order came out to celebrate to end the show.
A new match for the TNT title has been added to the AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view event that will take place on May 30.
AEW’s social media announced this afternoon that Miro will defend the TNT title against Lance Archer. They showed a video of Archer saying he should be TNT Champion and his destiny will be fulfilled at Double or Nothing.
Miro won the TNT title last week in the main event of Dynamite, defeating Darby Allin who had held the title since winning it at Full Gear last November.
AEW is set to announce the full card for Double or Nothing on tonight’s episode of Dynamite. Matches announced so far include:
Kenny Omega vs. Orange Cassidy vs. PAC for the AEW World title
Hikaru Shida vs. Britt Baker for the AEW World Women’s title
Cody Rhodes vs. Anthony Ogogo
The Pinnacle vs. The Inner Circle in a Stadium Stampede match
Miro vs. Lance Archer for the TNT title
Casino Battle Royal for a future AEW World Championship match
Miro is the new TNT Champion, defeating Darby Allin on tonight’s episode of Dynamite.
The two had a big back and forth match, despite Allin’s injuries last week after being thrown down stairs by Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky, as well as a pre-match beatdown by Miro. The finish had Allin going for the coffin drop, but Miro grabbed him as he landed and applied the Game Over. Allin passed out, giving Miro the win.
After the show went off the air, Allin cut a promo saying how the TNT championship was the only title he cared about, he didn’t need any other title. He promised that it was not the last time he would be champion, and thanked everyone for their support.
Allin won the title back on November 7, defeating Cody Rhodes at Full Gear, holding it for 186 days. In recent weeks, he has defended the title in the main event of Dynamite, successfully defending against the likes of Matt Hardy, Jungle Boy, and 10.
Two new matches have been announced for AEW Revolution on Sunday, March 7th.
A Casino Tag Team Royale for a future Tag Team title shot will take place with seven teams announced. Bear County, Alex Reynolds and John Silver, Evil Uno and Stu Grayson, Ortiz & Santana, The Butcher and The Blade, Private Party and Top Flight were shown as participants during the announcement with more teams expected to be announced prior to Revolution.
Additionally, a new tag team match was announced as Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor taking on Kip Sabian and Miro. During a sitdown interview on Wednesday’s Dynamite, Miro was given a yes/no/maybe note from Taylor and Cassidy asking if they wanted a match. Miro dismissed the note, calling it childish, but the match was made regardless.
Here is the current card for the Revolution pay-per-view:
World Champion Kenny Omega vs. Jon Moxley in an Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch
Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida vs. the title eliminator tournament winner
Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks vs. MJF & Chris Jericho
Hangman Page vs. Matt Hardy for the loser’s Q1 2021 earnings
Team Taz (Brian Cage & Ricky Starks) vs. Sting & Darby Allin in a street fight
Casino Tag Team Royale for a future Tag Team title shot
Miro & Kip Sabian vs. Orange Cassidy & Chuck Taylor
The wedding of Penelope Ford and Kip Sabian will take place on February 3, a special edition of Dynamite called Beach Break.
On tonight’s episode of Dynamite, titled Holiday Bash, Miro, Sabian, and Ford came out to announce the wedding date. When they first threw it to the video screen for the announcement, Best Friends’ music played. The trio acted shocked at first, but then laughed, as it was all a ruse. They threw it to footage of Trent being stretchered out after being attacked backstage. Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy boarded the ambulance, which then left the arena.
Sabian then announced the date for the wedding, which Tony Khan confirmed on Twitter.
“It’s official, Beach Break on #AEWDynamite on February 3 on @tntdrama, a huge card with great matches + we’re all invited by @ToBeMiro to the wedding of @thePenelopeFord & @TheKipSabian Live at Beach Break! Thank you everyone joining us tonight on TNT for our @AEW Holiday Bash!” Khan wrote.
AEW’s next special televised event will be New Year’s Bash, which will take place over the next two weeks. Kenny Omega vs. Fenix will headline next week’s card.
