Kyle Fletcher: AEW is ‘the best place in the entire world to wrestle’

TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher believes AEW is ‘the best place in the entire world to wrestle.’

Currently in the UK to promote the upcoming All In PPV at Wembley Stadium, Fletcher and his partner Skye Blue recently appeared on WhatCulture Wrestling for an interview.

When asked about the current backstage atmosphere in AEW, Fletcher opened up and heaped praise on it. Previously expressing his love for the promotion, Fletcher did it again, but this time in more detail.

The vibe is just it’s hard to put your finger on, but it’s just I think it’s the fact that everyone there wants to be there and everyone is so passionate about not just pro wrestling, but the company itself, and everyone just wants to go out there and do their absolute best every single time. I think individually every single person on the roster is just on their absolute A-game and they want to see this place succeed,” Fletcher said.

Calling it the “best place,” he continued, “And they want to keep this momentum rolling, and you know the ratings and the pay-per-view buyers and all this stuff is kind of just reaffirming that AEW is the best place in the entire world to wrestle. It just makes me excited to go out there every single night.”

I could be doing anything. I could be wrestling anybody. I could be cutting a promo. I could be doing whatever. And I just want to go out there and do my absolute best for the fans, for the company, for all of it because I just feel like I’m so grateful to be in this position,” he added. “I’m so grateful to be with such a great company, and I just want AEW to be the biggest and best it possibly can be, and I want to do my part in that.”

The reigning TNT Champion, Fletcher, is also a former Trios Champion, where he held the titles with Mark Davis and Kazuchika Okada before losing them at the Revolution PPV.

Kyle Fletcher says winning Trios titles with Mark Davis ‘meant the world’

Earlier this year, Kyle Fletcher won the AEW Trios World titles with fellow Don Callis Family members Kazuchika Okada and Mark Davis.

Recently speaking to WhatCulture Wrestling, Fletcher opened up in detail about the feeling of winning the Trios titles with Okada and, especially, Davis.

Apart from the stuff you get to do yourself, seeing your friends and the people you love succeed — the way I feel about watching Skye wrestle, that’s almost sometimes better than the stuff you accomplish on your own. Davis, we traveled the world together for coming up to 10 years now. That kind of bond, you don’t get very often,” Fletcher said.

He’s one of my best friends in the entire world, and he really did get the s**t end of the stick for a little while. There was a couple of injuries, and yeah, he really had some bad luck. I’ve always known how good he was, people in the UK know how good he is, so to me it was just matter of time when things started to click for him.”

Before Fletcher joined The Don Callis Family a few years ago, he was a part of The Aussie Open tag team with Mark Davis. After Fletcher’s jump to a solo career, Davis found himself lost in the mix before forming a new tag team with Jake Doyle. Despite Doyle’s injury, Davis continued his run in the top spot with several opportunities, including the Trios titles win.

“Now he’s kind of in that spot where I was back in 2023 when he got hurt. I was given these really awesome opportunities, and I was able to take the ball and run with it. Now, he’s in that same spot, and he’s given opportunity after opportunity, and he’s smashing every single one out of the park like I always knew he would,” Fletcher continued. “He looks great, he moves great, he’s kind of putting all of the pieces together. It’s really rewarding for me to be able to see. The fact that we were able to be world trios champs together and get that reunion, it meant the world.”

Fletcher, Okada, and Davis won the Trios titles on March 4 before losing them on the March 15 edition of AEW Revolution.

Kyle Fletcher discusses on-screen pairing with Skye Blue: ‘I never want to force something’

In a relationship for a few years now, Kyle Fletcher recently opened up about the possibility of teaming with his partner, Skye Blue, on AEW television.

Promoting the upcoming All In PPV in the UK, Fletcher and Blue recently appeared on WhatCulture Wrestling for an interview. When asked about the possibility of him pairing with Blue in AEW, Fletcher teased the chances instead of confirming or ruling them out.

It’s something that we’ve definitely spoken about, I think it more comes down to timing and when it feels like the right thing. I never want to force something just because it’s something that I want to do or we want to do. I think right now, we’re kind of building ourselves and building our own brands,” Fletcher said.

At some point if it feels like the right time to make that move, then it’ll happen. I don’t want to rule out it ever happening. I think that moment will probably come. But yeah, I think we’re both on our own paths right now and we’re pretty happy.”

Fletcher is currently the reigning TNT Champion and a part of The Don Callis Family, while Blue finds herself a part of The Triangle of Madness with Julia Hart and Thekla.

Hologram gives update on injury status, return timeline

AEW fans haven’t seen Hologram since he suffered a knee injury last September. Today, he offered a cryptic update on his condition, and a warning for a rival luchador.

Hologram shared a picture of himself on social media. Standing on crutches and with his face obscured by a fire emoji, he showed his left leg, which is heavily wrapped from the upper thigh all the way down to the toes.

He included the following text:

Injury detected. Source: clone.

Surgical process complete

Recovery protocol active.

Countdown initiated.

I’m coming back to finish this.

Hologram wrestled as Aramis for over a decade in Mexico before debuting under his new name with AEW in July of 2024. As he went on an undefeated streak, AEW debuted an evil version of him named El Clon, the luchador formerly known as Ares.

Before the two could meet, however, Hologram suffered his leg injury last September. The injury occurred off-camera, but AEW filmed a backstage segment where Hologram was injured by Kyle Fletcher.

With Hologram sidelined, El Clon’s debut was delayed for months. He finally wrestled on Collision on January 3 of this year, defeating Angelico. But he suffered his first loss that same month, falling short in a challenge against Mark Briscoe for the TNT Championship.  He went on to lose to Jon Moxley in a Continental Championship Eliminator match on Dynamite on February 25.

New Trios champions crowned at AEW Revolution

Brand new Trios champions have been crowned at AEW Revolution.

Toward the final stages of the AEW Revolution PPV, fans saw The Don Callis Family (Kazuchika Okada, Mark Davis, and Kyle Fletcher) defend their Trios titles against Mistico, Kevin Knight, and “Speedball” Mike Bailey.

Following a closely contested fight and several near falls, the final moments of the match saw Mistico trap Fletcher in with La Mistica, Bailey hit Davis, and Knight follow it up with a Frog Splash on Davis and cover him for the pinfall victory.

With the pinfall win, Bailey, Knight, and Mistico crowned themselves the brand new AEW Trios Champions, ending The Don Callis family’s short title reign. Shortly after the win, production hit Mistico’s theme song as the crowd joined in. As the Los Angeles crowd vibed to the song, the news of Mistico’s All Elite signing was also announced.

Interestingly, Mistico, 43, is also a CMLL World Trios Champion with Mascara Dorada and Neon in CMLL. Former AEW Trios Champion Adam Page is currently scheduled to be in a Texas Deathmatch against MJF for the AEW World title.

New title matches announced for AEW Revolution

AEW has announced two brand new title matches as a part of the updated AEW Revolution lineup.

A few weeks ago, Thekla defeated Kris Statlander to become the new Women’s World Champion in a Strap match. She followed it up with a title defense win over Thunder Rosa. However, after their match on the March 4 episode of Dynamite, Statlander stopped the Triangle of Madness (Thekla, Julia Hart, & Skye Blue) from attacking Rosa.

Shortly after, AEW President Tony Khan announced on social media that Thekla will defend her title against Statlander in a two-out-of-three falls match on March 15th at AEW Revolution.

In the main event of Wednesday’s Dynamite, Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, and Mark Davis defeated Adam Page, Kevin Knight, and Mike Bailey to win the AEW World Trios title.

With Page scheduled for a title match against MJF, Okada, Fletcher, and Davis will now defend their Trios titles against Knight, Bailey, and Mistico at AEW Revolution.

Kyle Fletcher on AEW locker room: ‘We love this company’

Kyle Fletcher discussed the locker room atmosphere in AEW during a recent interview.

Fletcher appeared on 2GB Sydney with Michael McLaren on Thursday while promoting AEW Grand Slam, which takes place in Sydney on Saturday. During the interview, Fletcher was asked how he first got into wrestling, with McLaren noting that it is not a typical career path for Australians.

Fletcher said:

“I had a friend at school who watched it, was a fan of it, went over to his house and it was on. You watch one match, you see someone get dropped on their head and you go, ‘This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen.’”

Fletcher was later asked about the backstage atmosphere in professional wrestling. He said there is often a strong bond in wrestling locker rooms, adding that this is especially true in AEW.

“You have something you’re so passionate about. Like, I left my family, my friends to pursue this crazy dream. So you have, 20, 30 blokes in a locker room that all feel the same way about this super niche interest. Of course, you’re going to have that bond with them.”

“AEW specifically, the locker room vibe is just like I said, we’re just so passionate about it, we love this company, we want to see it succeed so we’re all just egging each other on.”

“It’s a really cool vibe, absolutely,” Fletcher added.

Fletcher is set to defend his newly won TNT Championship in Sydney on Saturday. He will put the title on the line against Mark Briscoe in a ladder match at the event.

Fletcher’s full interview with 2GB Sydney is available below.

Kyle Fletcher makes unadvertised appearance at Australian indie show

Kyle Fletcher has returned to Australia as TNT Champion.

Pro Wrestling Australia (PWA) held an event at the Metro Theatre in Sydney on Friday, one day before AEW presents Grand Slam Australia at the Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday. Fletcher is from Sydney and started training at PWA when he was just 14 years old.

Fletcher was greeted with “Welcome home” chants from the crowd before cutting an in-ring promo.

Fletcher said:

“Everywhere I go all over the entire world I will always be flying the PWA flag. I will always be flying the flag for Sydney, for Australia, and for each and every one of you motherf—–s right here. Tonight, I brought the AEW TNT Championship back to PWA and one day it will be the world f—-ing title, I promise you.”

Fletcher won the TNT title from Tommaso Ciampa on Dynamite on Wednesday. He’s set to defend the belt against Mark Briscoe in a ladder match at Grand Slam Australia.

PWA Colosseum 2026 aired live on YouTube. The below video is cued to Fletcher’s appearance on the show.

Kyle Fletcher wins TNT title on AEW Dynamite, first title defense set

Kyle Fletcher is once again the TNT Champion, defeating Tommaso Ciampa on AEW Dynamite to regain the title and set up his first defense.

Fletcher ended the 13-day run for the former WWE star, pinning Ciampa after a brain buster that ended the physical bout.

Afterward, Fletcher took the microphone to say he would defend the title against anyone at this Saturday’s Grand Slam Australia as he is returning home. Former champion Mark Briscoe then came out and called his shot for the seventh match in their unofficial series.

Fletcher agreed, but then said if the seventh match was to happen, Briscoe would have to “reach for the sky” as it will be a ladder match which Briscoe quickly agreed to.

It’s Fletcher’s second run with the title after a 114-day reign that ended at last November’s Full Gear to Briscoe in a no DQ match.

TNT title match, new stipulation set for next AEW Dynamite

New matches and segments are set for the next AEW Dynamite.

The end of this week’s Collision saw Tommaso Ciampa defend the TNT title in a three-way against Roderick Strong and Claudio Castagnoli. After the match, Kyle Fletcher came out and issued a challenge for the next episode of Dynamite, saying if Ciampa wanted to be where the best wrestle, he’d have to go through him. The two agreed to the new title match.

Fletcher was influenced by Kazuchika Okada earlier in the show to go after the TNT title, saying that they could both be champions in the Don Callis Family.

The stipulation for the AEW Women’s Championship match was also set. As Kris Statlander was being interviewed in the ring, Thekla and the Sisters of Sin came out and attacked the champion, with Thekla whipping the back of Statlander with a strap. The Triangle of Madness then left the ring, but not before Statlander announced that her and Thekla’s match on Wednesday would be a strap match.

The Young Bucks advanced to the wild card match on Saturday, defeating the GOA. As a result of their win, they will now be part of the number one contendership match on Dynamite. They join The Rascalz and a wildcard team that has yet to be announced.

It was also announced that Kenny Omega and Swerve Strickland will meet face-to-face following the events of Dynamite where Omega and Strickland exchanged words.

Kyle Fletcher responds to criticism of ‘very dangerous’ AEW Worlds End spot

Kyle Fletcher understands why people have been critical of the scary-looking spot he was involved in at AEW Worlds End.

The December 27 pay-per-view saw Fletcher lose to Jon Moxley in the Continental Classic semifinals. It was a highly praised match, aside from one spot that received significant criticism. When taking a top rope dragon suplex, Fletcher landed on his neck and was lucky to avoid significant injury. William Regal — without specifically mentioning Fletcher — appeared to call out the spot by tweeting a plea urging wrestlers to avoid “stupid” moves where they drop each other on their heads.

“Of course, I have to take it [criticism] on board,” Fletcher said during an interview with Wide World of Sports in Australia. “Obviously it didn’t go to plan, I understand all the points that everyone is making – it was very dangerous.”

Fletcher admits that he landed higher on his neck than was intended. He could sense concern from the referee but felt fine.

“In the moment, it’s hard for me because I’m not watching it happen, I’m the one actually experiencing it. I didn’t see how nasty the landing was, I was just going off how I felt and to me, it was just one of those ones where I didn’t feel anything out of the ordinary,” he said.

“It was a bit higher on the neck than I was intending, but it didn’t hurt and I felt fine. The referee came over and usually they will check on you once and you’re like, ‘Yeah no worries, it’s all good.’ But then he came over a second time and asked again, which makes me think that there was maybe someone in his ear saying, ‘Make sure he’s okay.’

“I didn’t get to see the replay that everyone else saw and it wasn’t until later that I looked back and thought, ‘That was a little bit silly, wasn’t it?’ But you live and you learn.”

Fletcher will be back in the ring on the AEW Collision episode that airs this Saturday. He told World of Sports that he was maybe “a bit battered and bruised” after the Worlds End match, but it was nothing out of the ordinary.

World of Sports’ interview with Fletcher was to promote AEW’s return to Australia, which is happening next month with events in Sydney and Brisbane.

Andrade in-ring return, Trios title match part of full AEW Collision lineup

After reappearing and disappearing last fall, Andrade El Idolo will finally make his in-ring return on this Saturday’s Maximum Carnage edition of Collision.

Andrade will take on Angelico in his return bout after making his surprise on-screen return last week. Following his WWE release, he appeared on AEW TV and attacked Kenny Omega but soon disappeared as his non-compete clause was still in place.

The AEW Trios titles will be on the line as The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs & Katsuyori Shibata) will defend against Hangman Page.

Prior to Wednesday’s Dynamite on social media, Joe said he was putting a bounty out on Page and that they would also put the titles up on the line Saturday with Page later finding two partners — JetSpeed — later on during the show. The three men teamed last August on Collision, defeating LFI.

In his first match since last December’s Worlds End, former TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher will team with El Clon and Josh Alexander against Skyflight after the Martins and Scorpio Sky issued their own challenge.

New Skyflight member Zayda Steel will make her AEW in-ring debut against Marina Shafir following their confrontation on last week’s Collision.

A rivalry will cross over from Ring of Honor and recent AEW TV as Eddie Kingston & Ortiz will battle the Grizzled Young Veterans.

Penelope Ford has been cleared from her recent injury and will team with Megan Bayne on Saturday against opponents to be named.

The show is rounded out by a National title eliminator between Jack Perry and Anthony Bowens with the winner facing Ricochet at a later date.

Saturday’s show will be taped after Wednesday’s Dynamite. We’ll have spoilers on our site as soon as we get them.

Announced AEW Collision lineup | This Saturday (taped Wednesday)

  • Eddie Kington & Ortiz vs. Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson)
  • Andrade vs. Angelico
  • Skyflight (Dante & Darius Martin and Scorpio Sky) vs. Don Callis Family (Kyle Fletcher, El Clon & Josh Alexander)

Tony Khan responds to William Regal’s injury warnings: ‘The wrestlers want to do their very best’

Shortly after concluding AEW Worlds End last month, fans saw wrestling legend William Regal open up in public and address wrestlers performing dangerous and high-risk spots in wrestling as a fallout from the All Elite Wrestling PPV. Now, almost a week later, AEW President Tony Khan responded to Regal’s comments positively.

During his appearance on the Mark Hoke Show Pro Wrestling Radio Show / Podcast, the host brought up William Regal’s warning on social media before asking Khan about his thoughts on wrestlers performing high-risk spots.

Pro wrestlers are always taking hard-hitting and high-risk chances. That’s one of the things that makes pro wrestling so exciting. In AEW, we’ve been able to have all of these great events, and we’ve never had a career-ending injury like that from our wrestling,” Khan added.

I don’t think that AEW is any different than any other wrestling promotion in the world. The wrestlers want to do their very best, and sometimes a promotion will step in. AEW and I have at times stepped in and said, ‘I can’t do that. I don’t think that’s a good idea.’ I don’t want to do that every day or every match, but there are times where it comes up, and that’s okay.

Everything you talk about, these are things you constantly balance in sports. Not just AEW, but all sports. Taking care of your athletes and doing things to protect the health and safety of the athletes to make the sport work,” Khan concluded.

A spot from AEW Worlds End saw Kyle Fletcher land abruptly on his neck, which brought up concerns regarding the safety measures in pro-wrestling. Mark Hoke also noted on his show that it could have been the moment that led to Regal’s comments.

Tony Khan shares his thoughts on Jon Moxley vs. Kyle Fletcher from AEW Worlds End

In the same podcast, while addressing the injury concerns and risky moments in the sport, Khan also made sure to reveal his thoughts on the Moxley vs. Fletcher match.

I thought Worlds End was great, and I thought everything about it was wonderful. And if anybody was talking about Kyle Fletcher vs Jon Moxley, that’s my one of my favorite matches of all time. And, it’s all subjective. Best match is always in the eye of the beholder. And I do think it’s something to be really proud of AEW to hang our hats on. How fantastic a year that was. All our wrestlers are doing well, and what AEW accomplished in 2025, going into 2026.
