MLW announces no ropes barbed wire match for Zero Hour tapings

MLW has made their first match announcement for their first television tapings of 2020.

It was announced today that Mance Warner and Jimmy Havoc will face off in a no ropes barbed wire match at MLW Zero Hour. The tapings are being held at the NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills, Texas on Saturday, January 11.

MLW hyped the stipulation for the match: “Why a barbed wire match? The answer can be tied [to] Jimmy Havoc brutally attacking Mance Warner with a coil of barbed wire that ultimately put Warner in the hospital. Since that time, the two men have fought and bled in and out of the ring including a Stairway to Hell match that saw Havoc once again bludgeon Mance with barbed wire. Now league officials look to contain both men by having them enter a ring to settle their feud once and for all in a match where the perimeter is wrapped in barbed wire.”

The  NYTEX Sports Centre also hosted MLW’s War Chamber tapings this September.

MLW’s final show of 2019 will be their Opera Cup tapings at the Melrose Ballroom in Queens, New York on Thursday, December 5.

AEW Dark results: Joey Janela & Jimmy Havoc vs. Jurassic Express

The Big Takeaway —

Shawn Spears picked up his first singles win and started a feud with Joey Janela.

************

The show started with Tony Schiavone introducing Spanish announcer Dasha Gonzales (the former Dasha Fuentes) as his newest co-host. Speaking of changes, this week Excalibur was joined at the booth by Maxwell Jacob Friedman.

**********

Shawn Spears (w/ Tully Blanchard) defeated Michael Nakazawa

I know they were on Dynamite last week, but it’s weird to not have The Librarians on the show. This was Nakazawa’s first match for AEW since facing Alex Jebailey back at Fyter Fest. MJF asked the Facebook meme question about if olive oil is made out of olives and coconut oil is made out of coconuts, what is baby oil, which Nakazawa slathers himself in, made of?

Spears had the early advantage until Nakazawa pulled out the baby oil. Spears was not happy with getting it on him and tried to wipe it off onto referee Aubrey Edwards. Both Spears and Tully Blanchard slipped and bumped due to the baby oil.

Spears used the chop to much success. For the finish, Spears blocked Nakazawa’s attempts at using his thong for an offensive maneuver and got the pin with a slingshot brainbuster.

**********

Allie & Sadie Gibbs defeated Mercedes Martinez & Big Swole

Gibbs and Swole started the match doing the running shoulder blocks at each other, which Gibbs won by finally taking Swole down.

They began running the ropes and we never found out what happened, as the director felt it was more important to show a fan sitting at ringside. This happened a second time later on when Allie was going for a sliding elbow to Martinez, but instead we saw the fans.

Gibbs picked Allie up and dropped her on Martinez, but did it in the “wrong” direction, as she dropped Allie vertically, across the face and chest. Martinez and Swole hit the H Bomb on Gibbs.

Gibbs ignored the beating she got, shoved Swole across the ring, and casually tagged in Allie. After the producer didn’t show Allie’s offense, the heels decided that was enough and cut her off to get the heat. We got the expected four-way, which culminated with a giant dive spot with Gibbs doing a cartwheel into a dive over the top rope.

Everyone hit a big move on everyone, including the Allie Valley Driver, and Gibbs pinned Swole with a moonsault. This was rough in spots, but it accomplished its goals at the end of the day.

**********

They formally announced Dr. Britt Baker vs. Bea Priestley for the Full Gear Buy-In show, which included a video package building it up. Baker called Priestley a piece of sh*t.

After that we got a recap of the Chris Jericho-Cody angle from last Wednesday.

**********

Up next was our weekly From Undesirable To Undeniable segment where Cody interviewed Jimmy Havoc. Havoc said he feels undesirable a lot of the time now and all you have to do was look on his Twitter feed.

Havoc did look back to a moment when he was three years old which started him down the road he’s on. He started feeling undeniable by wrestling the way he wants to now and said getting signed shows that he is good enough.

Honestly, this was the weakest of the four segments, but that’s mostly because the three before this were really good.

*********

Joey Janela & Jimmy Havoc defeated Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy & Marko Stunt)

Stunt put on a Luchasaurus mask, but he took it off as the match began. The announcers said he was 5’3″, which I am calling shenanigans on.

A couple people tried to start either an ECW or a CZW chant, but it didn’t pick up steam. Havoc and Jungle Boy were displaying fine technical wrestling until Havoc decided to gnaw on Jungle Boy’s wrist. Jungle Boy hit a beautiful high dropkick. Stunt did a suicide dive — diving between Jungle Boy’s legs to Havoc — and Jungle Boy hit a beautiful Asai moonsault on Janela.

There were a lot of people shown not paying attention, which is weird since this was the last match of the night, so if you’re not gonna watch or care, why not leave early? Havoc bit the neck of Stunt, which led to an announcer discussion about vampires.

Stunt made the hot tag to Jungle Boy, which the fans did pop for. Jungle Boy got tired of his team being bit, so he bit Havoc, which made the crowd happy. Jungle Boy gave Janela an atomic drop and an inverted atomic drop, both of which Janela sold like sure death.

A series of big moves saw Janela hit Jungle Boy with a big lariat as the last move. Jungle Boy ducked the Acid Rainmaker, but it led to Stunt nearly being pinned with a Michinoku driver.

Havoc pulled out a staple gun, but Janela blind tagged himself in and took the staple gun. Janela turned on his partner by stapling him in the head. Despite that, Havoc still helped his partner win, as Janela pinned Stunt with a top rope package piledriver.

After the match, Havoc took his staple gun, glared at Janela, and walked away.

**********

We were whisked away backstage, where Janela was smoking a cigarette after the match. Tully Blanchard approached him and said he wasn’t happy with how Janela treated him the last time they saw each other. Spears attacked Janela and appeared to force cigarettes down Janela’s throat, but the camera was turned away and the show came to its conclusion.

**********

Final Thoughts —

This was the first time the show really felt like Velocity. Unlike prior episodes that had some degree of stardom, this was the midcard and under showcase.

Falls count anywhere match added to MLW Blood & Thunder tapings

Mance Warner and Jimmy Havoc’s feud will continue at MLW’s Blood & Thunder television tapings.

MLW has announced that Warner and Havoc will face off in a falls count anywhere match at the tapings. They’re taking place at GILT Nightclub in Orlando, Florida this Saturday afternoon and will feature the fallout from MLW’s Saturday Night SuperFight pay-per-view.

With Bestia 666 added to make it a three-way match, Warner and Havoc faced off in a Stairway to Hell match at Saturday Night SuperFight. Warner got the win by pinning Bestia 666, but Havoc attacked Warner after the match, piledrove him into a guardrail, and laid him out with the Acid Rainmaker.

Here’s the updated lineup for the Blood & Thunder tapings:

  • Davey Boy Smith Jr. vs. Tom Lawlor
  • Mance Warner vs. Jimmy Havoc in a falls count anywhere match
  • Low Ki vs. Timothy Thatcher
  • Zeda Zhang vs. The Spider Lady
  • Mystery Box Battle Royal (participants not announced in advance)

AEW Dark results: Darby Allin vs. Jimmy Havoc vs. Jack Evans

The Big Takeaway —

Darby Allin got back in the win column, picking up the win in a falls count anywhere triple threat match.

Today is my 36th season premiere (aka my 35th birthday). It is never too late to send me a large sum of cash as a gift.

**********

Dustin Rhodes & Sonny Kiss defeated QT Marshall & Peter Avalon (w/ Leva Bates)

Marshall was featured in an interview segment with Cody Rhodes last week and now debuts with his first AEW match this week on Dark.

Avalon cut his usual pre-match promo running down the local sports team, in this case being the Pittsburgh Pirates. Thankfully for me they won’t be in Buffalo anytime soon. Bates did tell Avalon to “shhhh,” continuing her possible face turn.

Kiss was born in December of 1993, which is when Dustin Rhodes was already in the business five years (and was WCW United States Champion to boot).

The heels got the heat when Bates grabbed Kiss’ foot and Avalon took his head off with a running kick. When Kiss was reaching for a tag, Avalon grabbed his foot and threw it down into the splits before locking on a chinlock, which at least explained why the splits would hurt here and not every other time Kiss does the splits.

Bates tried to interfere, but she got caught when she tried showing Rhodes her book. Rhodes placed her in the corner and sidestepped Avalon when he went running after The Natural. Rhodes hit the Final Reckoning on Avalon for the win.

**********

Emi Sakura defeated Allie, Penelope Ford, and Sadie Gibbs in a four-way match

We had a four-way collar-and-elbow tie-up, followed by a four-way Greco Roman knuckle lock that Gibbs got the best of. In fact her knuckle lock on Allie and Sakura was so bad that Ford even sold it.

Sakura did a dosey-doe with referee Rick Knox and held his arm out long enough that he accidentally elbowed Ford. Sakura slapped a surfboard on Ford. Allie snuck in and tried to cover Sakura, but she was smart enough to let go of the surfboard and kick out.

Ford and Gibbs formed a brief alliance, but it broke down when they fought over who got to pin Allie. Excalibur claimed the fans were chanting for Sakura. They were doing no such thing. However, the fans did boo the Blonde Girl Alliance as all three teamed up on Sakura briefly.

Sakura came back and gave all three a Vader Bomb for a simultaneous two count on each. Gibbs threw a clothesline so high that Ford didn’t even bother ducking. Sakura pinned Ford with a Tiger Driver. They showed some of the least interested fans applauding.

**********

This week’s From Undesirable to Undeniable with Cody Rhodes saw him interviewing Maxwell Jacob Friedman.

MJF said in his wrestling career he never felt undesirable, but he did when playing football as a kid because he was the only Jewish kid and the other kids didn’t like a Jewish person taking their spot on the team. In fact, his teammates bullied him by throwing quarters at him. MJF said the kid who bullied him (whose name they bleeped) is a drug addict who dropped out of college, while he is famous and hangs out with the coolest person in the world.

**********

We were magically whisked away to the AEW Control Center where Tony Schiavone previewed Dynamite. This segued into a video building up The Lucha Bros vs. SoCal Uncensored in the finals of the AEW Tag Team title tournament.

**********

Alex Marvez interviewed Kip Sabian about his upcoming six-man tag. On Wednesday night, Sabian will team with Jack Evans & Angelico to face Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks. Sabian said he won the very first singles match in AEW history and he has the best record of everyone who hasn’t been on Dynamite yet. His plan is to beat The Elite and become The Elite. Sabian said he hated Marvez.

Darby Allin defeated Jimmy Havoc and Jack Evans in a triple threat falls count anywhere match

Main event time. This match was not sponsored by Cracker Barrel, so there was no Cracker Barrel barrel for Allin and Havoc to destroy.

Not that he had a ton of competition, but Allin had the best reaction of anyone who came out on the show tonight. Allin and Evans both were going about 125 miles per hour and it was up to Havoc to slow them down. Havoc held up a chair as Allin came through the ropes with a suicide dive. For once I’m not being facetious — Allin did a suicide dive and Havoc was almost like “Hey, look at this chair!”

Havoc did a dive over the guardrail and into the crowd, which gave Jim Ross and Excalibur a chance to plug AEWTix.com, saying that the only way to have Havoc dive over the railing and into your lap is to go to the show.

Evans, who has been wrestling for over a decade, gave a suplex to Havoc on the ramp, got up, and played to the crowd for a few seconds before making the cover. Havoc did a diving elbow drop onto Allin on the floor and, seconds later, Evans did a flipping dive onto both of them.

We fought back to the ring and Evans threw some chairs in. The fans chanted for tables, so Evans threw more chairs into the ring. Havoc gave Allin the old Cesaro superplex where Allin was standing on the ring apron and Havoc stood on the middle rope and lifted him for the superplex.

Havoc used a Tiger Driver 98 on Allin on a chair. Evans broke the pin up, so Havoc threw a chair in his face. However, Havoc learned that if you live by the chair, you die by the chair. Evans dropped him with a side suplex on the edge of a chair and then hit a 450 splash, but only for a two count.

We finally got our table, but it was used for Havoc to give Evans a piledriver through. As he went for the cover, Allin came out of nowhere (or the corner turnbuckle) with a chair-assisted Coffin Drop on Havoc and covered Evans for the pin.

Final Thoughts —

Not sure what happened to the loud crowd in Pittsburgh for Dynamite, because the Dark crowd was mellow. The main event was not as bat crap crazy as you might expect considering the stipulation, but that made it better.

VIDEO: Falls count anywhere match headlines AEW Dark episode four

Tonight’s AEW Dark will feature three matches that were taped at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania last Wednesday:

Tomorrow’s live episode of Dynamite and AEW Dark tapings are taking place at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Tag title match, Warner vs. Havoc Stairway to Hell added to MLW PPV

This week’s episode of MLW Fusion included two match announcements for the promotion’s first pay-per-view.

The Dynasty (MJF & Richard Holliday) will defend their MLW Tag Team titles against Ross & Marshall Von Erich in a Texas tornado tag match at Saturday Night SuperFight. Mance Warner will also face Jimmy Havoc in a Stairway to Hell match at the PPV.

Barbed wire will be hanging above the ring in the Stairway to Hell match. Promos from Warner and Havoc aired on Fusion this week, with Warner issuing the challenge for SuperFight and Havoc accepting.

Warner and The Von Erichs both missed MLW’s television tapings with The Crash in Tijuana earlier this month. Warner missed the tapings due to a punctured lung, while Ross & Marshall Von Erich had passport issues.

In storyline, The Dynasty have to defend their titles against The Von Erichs after Holliday’s father/lawyer got them out of the match happening in Mexico.

Saturday Night SuperFight is taking place at Cicero Stadium in Cicero, Illinois on November 2. Here’s the updated card for the PPV:

  • MLW World Heavyweight Champion Jacob Fatu defending against LA Park in a no DQ match
  • MLW Middleweight Champion Teddy Hart defending against Austin Aries

The full episode is available to watch below:

Full Recap —

We opened with Rich Bocchini catching up with Marshall and Ross Von Erich after The Dynasty had their scheduled match pulled off last week’s show. They were frustrated at it not taking place but reassured us it will take happen at the Saturday Night SuperFight PPV in Chicago on November 2 in a Texas Tornado tag match.

The usual opening MLW video was replaced with a special ‘Jimmy Havoc’s Slaughterhouse’ edition. We then saw the executive producer of the week himself as he introduced us to the show and told us there would be a lot of blood and violence, and he will walk away as the greatest hardcore wrestler on the planet.

Los Haraganes (Animal, Demencia & Silver Star) defeated Triple Amenaza (Arandu, Star Boy & Zarco) (10:14)

This was crazy lucha libre at its best with referees cheating for the good guys by fast counting, blood, weapons, and wild action. After all that, Los Haraganes picked up the win with a triple-triple powerbomb on Star Boy.

These six have been feuding for the last year and it showed right from the get-go. Los Haraganes jumped their opponents before they got into the ring with a trifecta of dives to the outside. They immediately triple-teamed Arandu as he ate a face-first suplex from the middle rope, a top rope splash, and then an absolutely devastating looking top rope double foot stomp to the groin as he was held open ala D-Von Dudley and the “Whaaaasupp” headbutt. Zarco then ate a guillotine leg drop and Star Boy didn’t fare any better.

In the early going, the commentary team were calling everyone by the wrong name. In one exchange where no one tagged in or out, Arandu was called Zarco, then Arandu, and then Zarco again. Star Boy got the better of Los Haraganes by sending Demencia sliding face-first out the ring and into the guard rail.

A CONTRA Unit video interrupted the match talking about Jacob Fatu’s match with LA Park at SuperFight.

Back to the action, Star Boy hit a double underhook piledriver on Silver Star but Animal came in and cut him off. Arandu and Star Boy were both bleeding from the forehead. Everyone then took turns coming in for a spot as the match slowed down. Power move then submission and then next one in to break the hold…repeat.

The action broke down again as Silver Star hit a springboard arm drag to Star Boy off the apron and into a wooden board at ringside. Arandu and Zarco then tried to make the save but both ended up going through boards when they missed a pair of spears through the ropes. Zarco landed directly on his head in a horrible looking landing. Los Haraganes then got the win soon after, even with a very deliberate slow count, after they triple powerbombed Star Boy three times in a row.

— LA Park then cut a promo backstage in Spanish where he told Fatu he was going to break his damn f*cking face and was going to end him.

— H2tv was next up as Brian Pillman was poolside with a friend in a bikini. He was laughing and making fun of how Low Ki talked to him in their confrontation last week.

The Josef Samael vs. El Hijo de LA Park Tijuana street fight ended in a no contest (04:01)

Jimmy Havoc introduced this one from outside the arena where the fight took place. He was with Salina de la Renta, El Hijo de LA Park, and a referee but when Samael jumped Hijo out of nowhere, the fight was on.

Samael hammered Hijo up against a chain fence and headbutted him. He got face-to-face with Salina and pie-faced her away. Salina was screaming at Hijo to get up and he did, slamming Samael through a wooden board.

Simon Gotch and Ikuro Kwon ran into and beat Hijo down. Salina quickly got on her phone and ordered everyone to “get here now” but they did not come in time as Hijo was beaten down as the camera cut off.

— Mance Warner had a recorded message for Havoc, challenging him to a Stairway To Hell match at SuperFight as barbed wire will be hanging above the ring. Havoc accepted the challenge and told Warner that the Stairway to Hell was the first death match he ever watched, so he has studied everything there is to do and is going to enjoy it.

— Lifestyles of the Rich and Dynastic was up next. They were singing God Bless America on a rooftop celebrating that they were back home. Hammerstone brought up the tag title defense against the Von Erichs and Holliday dropped the bombshell on MJF that his lawyer/father got them out of the match in Mexico. However, the match now has to take place in Chicago instead.

Hammerstone thought the Texas Tornado rules meant that no shoes are allowed. Holliday wanted to change it to a Dynasty Tornado match, but they agreed to go make themselves feel better and go sailing on a yacht.

Jimmy Havoc defeated Damian 666 (w/ Salina de la Renta) and Savio Vega in a no DQ triangle match (9:48)

Havoc got a good reaction from the Tijuana crowd and gave Vega and Damian the two fingers to start things off, but they responded by kicking him out the ring. He then brought in cookie sheets but Damian no-sold them and smacked Havoc over the head with them instead.

Vega went wild with quick combination kendo stick shots. Damian whipped both men with belts and went to work on Havoc with a chair, but he ended up going head first into it when Havoc reversed a whip and sent him into his own creation. Then, we got the same situation in the opposite corner but with Vega and a trash can.

Havoc put thumbtacks onto a seated chair but ended up sitting on the chair first and then went face-first into it after a drop toehold by Damian. Vega added insult to injury by slamming Havoc back first into the same tack covered chair.

Vega then brought a table in and by the rules of hardcore matches, he should go through it. He tried to set Havoc up on it, but England’s Most Dangerous Man got up and crotched him on the top rope. Vega was then bundled out by Damian and superplexed through the table. Havoc snuck back in, tossed Damian out and hit Vega with the Acid Rainmaker short-arm clothesline to pick up the win.

Havoc beat up Damian 666 after the bell but Bestia 666 made the save for his dad as Fusion went off the air.

Warner vs. Havoc Bunkhouse match announced for MLW tapings

A Bunkhouse match is the latest addition to the lineup for MLW’s War Chamber television tapings.

MLW announced today that Mance Warner will face Jimmy Havoc in a Bunkhouse match at the tapings. They’re taking place at the NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills, Texas on Saturday, September 7.

MLW described the stipulation for the match: “Wrestlers can fight all over the arena and use whatever they want as weapons are legal! Just make sure to bring your cowboy boots, a durable pair of jeans and a 6-pack of whoop ass as that’s what it will take to win this wild southern stipulation match.”

Warner vs. Havoc is part of the ongoing storyline between Warner and Salina de la Renta. The MLW Fusion episode that aired on August 17 ended with Warner chasing de la Renta, Havoc, and LA Park away with a chainsaw.

Here’s the updated card for War Chamber:

  • Tom Lawlor, Ross Von Erich, Marshall Von Erich, and a partner (w/ Kevin Von Erich) vs. Contra Unit (Jacob Fatu, Josef Samael, Simon Gotch & Ikuro Kwon) in a War Chamber match
  • MLW Tag Team Champions The Dynasty (MJF & Richard Holliday) defending against The Hart Foundation (Teddy Hart & Davey Boy Smith Jr.)
  • Mance Warner vs. Jimmy Havoc in a Bunkhouse match
  • Austin Aries vs. Brian Pillman Jr.
  • LA Park & El Hijo de LA Park vs. Septimo Dragon & Magnus
  • A tribute to Gary Hart
  • Timothy Thatcher vs. Douglas James

Cracker Barrel sponsoring match at AEW All Out

Darby Allin, Joey Janela, and Jimmy Havoc’s triple threat match at All Out is now known as the “Cracker Barrel Clash.”

AEW issued a press release today announcing Cracker Barrel as the presenting match sponsor for Allin vs. Janela vs. Havoc. The partnership between AEW and Cracker Barrel also includes “cross-promotional activities with AEW talent, customized co-branded graphics, in-venue signage, and social media activation.”

A Cracker Barrel themed-barrel was also in the ring during the introductions for Chris Jericho vs. Kenny Omega at Double or Nothing, and the barrel was used as a prop in Janela vs. Hangman Page at All In last year.

Allin, Janela & Havoc teamed together at Fight for the Fallen last month and lost to Shawn Spears, MJF & Sammy Guevara. The triple threat match for All Out was announced following an angle where Allin, Janela, and Havoc argued and brawled after their loss.

The Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois is hosting All Out this Saturday. Here’s the card for the pay-per-view:

  • Chris Jericho vs. Hangman Page for the AEW World Championship
  • Kenny Omega vs. PAC
  • AAA Tag Team Champions The Lucha Bros (Pentagon Jr. & Fenix) defending against The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) in a ladder match
  • Cody Rhodes vs. Shawn Spears
  • Hikaru Shida vs. Riho
  • Darby Allin vs. Joey Janela vs. Jimmy Havoc
  • Best Friends (Trent Barreta & Chuck Taylor) vs. The Dark Order (Evil Uno & Stu Grayson) (winning team gets a first-round bye in AEW’s Tag Team title tournament)
  • Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy & Marko Stunt vs. SoCal Uncensored (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky)
  • Women’s Casino Battle Royale (pre-show)
  • Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen) vs. Angelico & Jack Evans (pre-show)

MLW Fusion results: LA Park vs. Jimmy Havoc NYC street fight

Big Takeaways —

  • LA Park defeated Jimmy Havoc in a New York City street fight, tearing the house down — and each other apart — in the process.
  • In a battle of alliteration, Austin Aries defeated Ace Austin.
  • It was another bad night for Salina de la Renta as Konnan continued with his blackmailing and Mance Warner continued his path of chaos through Promociones Dorado.
  • Kevin Von Erich will be ringside during the War Chamber match next month. It will be Tom Lawlor, Ross & Marshall Von Erich, and a partner against Contra Unit (Jacob Fatu, Josef Samael, Simon Gotch & Ikuro Kwon).

Full Recap —

– We opened backstage with Mance Warner and his chainsaw. He threatened Ricky Martinez and the rest of Salina de la Renta’s Promociones Dorado stable, saying he is going to cut them all down.

Mance Warner defeated Ricky Martinez (w/ Salina de la Renta) (2:14)

De la Renta introduced Martinez, who got the upper hand on the Southern Psycho with a middle rope-assisted low blow as Warner was entering the ring.

Martinez’s advantage was brief as Warner soon cut him off with a headbutt as Martinez was coming off the middle rope. A running knee from Warner was quickly followed up by a big lariat and the one-two-three.

De la Renta entered the ring after the bell and spat in Warner’s face. Warner, who was celebrating with a beer, took a sip and returned the lovely gesture at the Empress of Promociones Dorado, but de la Renta ducked — and it was Martinez who ended up with an unwanted beer bath.

– Lifestyles of the Rich and Dynastic was up next. Richard Holliday was in a hotel room in Las Vegas admiring the view from his room. A female friend entered and took Holliday’s attention away from his wealthy ramblings and the camera faded to black.

– We saw a recap of Alexander Hammerstone injuring Savio Vega last week via his Nightmare Pendulum. There was also a recap of Marshall Von Erich getting mist spat in his eyes two weeks ago.

– A recorded message from Marshall then played and he said his vision is a bit impaired — but he will be at War Chamber in Texas for the four-on-four war against Contra Unit, and he is bringing Kevin Von Erich with him.

– Rich Bocchini then interviewed de la Renta as she was backstage, but Konnan quickly interrupted and again blackmailed her into giving him his three demands.

– H2tv was up next. Brian Pillman Jr. had Alexander Hammerstone’s jacket from last week. Teddy Hart called out The Dynasty for their dress sense before Pillman urinated all over Hammerstone’s jacket.

Austin Aries defeated Ace Austin (08:46)

Which Austin is better? Disregarding Stone Cold, in this instance it was Aries, but Ace continued to look great and put on a solid match.

Aries slowed Ace early on by dodging a springboard leg drop and following up with his European uppercut off the top rope. However, Ace shuffled his deck and recovered to hit a draping middle rope swinging neckbreaker soon after.

Ace hung Aries in the tree of woe, but Aries fought out and landed a stunner out of the corner. Aries shifted gears and picked up the pace with a discus forearm, a rope-assisted neckbreaker, and a suicide dive.

Back in the ring, Aries went up top but Ace rolled away and picked up his cane. However, the referee saw it. As his back was turned disposing of the cane, Ace went low and hit Aries, then rolled him up for a near fall.

Ace then went for the kill and ran at Aries, but the veteran caught him coming in, lifted him high, and dropped him with the brainbuster for the win.

Aries took the mic and called out Middleweight Champion Teddy Hart after the match.

– A cameraman caught up with The Dynasty earlier in the day. Hammerstone called out The Hart Foundation and called them the criminals they know they are. Aria Blake arrived with Hammerstone’s jacket, but he gave it one sniff and tossed it away. MJF yelled that the jacket touched his face and Holliday was right in there offering to clean him up.

– Douglas James was announced as MLW’s newest signee.

– Rich Bocchini and Tony Schiavone then announced another partnership, this time with Martial Arts Research Systems (MARS). They will provide the league with data analytics on injuries, performance, and TV viewership.

LA Park defeated Jimmy Havoc in a New York City street fight (12:42)

De la Renta was ringside with a face like thunder as she watched two of her wrestlers battle each other. This was the first of Konnan’s three wishes de la Renta has granted him in their ongoing cell phone blackmail issue.

Havoc turned his back on Park, which was a bad move as he ate a chair shot to the back for his disrespect. Havoc rallied though and hit a few nice arm drags and a suicide dive to the outside, where he repaid the favor and hit Park with his chair.

Garbage cans, cooking sheets, and steel chairs were all put to good use on the outside. Inside the ring, Havoc came off the top with a double foot stomp onto a chair and hit a running bulldog onto a wooden board. The same wooden board was then used by Park as he hung Havoc in the tree of woe. He placed the board in front of Havoc and destroyed it — and Havoc’s face — with a basement dropkick.

On the floor outside the ring, Park set up another wooden board between two chairs but crashed and burned as he missed a double foot stomp from the top rope! Back inside, Havoc brought out a staple gun and used it to staple Park in the head, chest, and groin.

It was then Havoc’s turn to crash and burn as Park powerslammed him into a three-chair structure in the corner. Park then hit an amazing top rope springboard corkscrew and finished off Havoc with a spear into the chair structure.

De la Renta entered the ring after the bell and shook both participant’s hands. Park and Havoc eventually shook hands too. De la Renta got on the mic and called out Konnan, Mance Warner, and Jacob Fatu, saying that none of them will take her down.

This brought out Warner, who came through the crowd wildly swinging his chainsaw around. De la Renta, Havoc, and Park all ran from the ring and backed up the ramp as Fusion went off the air.

Six-man tag match added to AEW Fight for the Fallen

A six-man tag match has been added to the card for Fight for the Fallen.

On this week’s Road to Fight for the Fallen episode, it was announced that Jimmy Havoc, Darby Allin & Joey Janela will team against MJF, Sammy Guevara & Shawn Spears at the show. It’s taking place at Daily’s Place Amphitheater in Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday, July 13.

Allin vs. Cody Rhodes at Fyter Fest last weekend ended in a 20-minute time-limit draw. After the match, Spears appeared and laid out Cody with a chair shot to the head. MJF came out to the ring to help Cody after.

MJF responded to the announcement of the six-man tag match: “…….Seriously?!?!?!?”

Hangman Page defeated Havoc, MJF, and Jungle Boy in a four-way match at Fyter Fest. The finish was Page pinning Havoc after hitting a Buckshot Lariat and the Dead Eye. MJF moved out of the way of the Buckshot Lariat, with Page hitting Havoc instead. MJF tried to throw Page out of the ring after that, but Page countered and threw MJF out.

Jon Moxley defeated Joey Janela in a “non-sanctioned match” in the main event of Fyter Fest.

Guevara lost to Kip Sabian on the Double or Nothing pre-show in May.

Fight for the Fallen is benefiting Jacksonville’s Victim Assistance Advisory Council. The show will air for free on B/R Live in the United States and Canada and will be available to purchase via Fite TV elsewhere.

Here’s the updated card for the event:

  • The Young Bucks vs. Cody & Dustin Rhodes
  • Kenny Omega vs. CIMA
  • Brandi Rhodes vs. Allie
  • Hangman Page vs. Kip Sabian
  • Jimmy Havoc, Darby Allin & Joey Janela vs. MJF, Sammy Guevara & Shawn Spears
