AEW Dark results: Darby Allin vs. Jimmy Havoc vs. Jack Evans

The Big Takeaway —

Darby Allin got back in the win column, picking up the win in a falls count anywhere triple threat match.

Today is my 36th season premiere (aka my 35th birthday). It is never too late to send me a large sum of cash as a gift.

Dustin Rhodes & Sonny Kiss defeated QT Marshall & Peter Avalon (w/ Leva Bates)

Marshall was featured in an interview segment with Cody Rhodes last week and now debuts with his first AEW match this week on Dark.

Avalon cut his usual pre-match promo running down the local sports team, in this case being the Pittsburgh Pirates. Thankfully for me they won’t be in Buffalo anytime soon. Bates did tell Avalon to “shhhh,” continuing her possible face turn.

Kiss was born in December of 1993, which is when Dustin Rhodes was already in the business five years (and was WCW United States Champion to boot).

The heels got the heat when Bates grabbed Kiss’ foot and Avalon took his head off with a running kick. When Kiss was reaching for a tag, Avalon grabbed his foot and threw it down into the splits before locking on a chinlock, which at least explained why the splits would hurt here and not every other time Kiss does the splits.

Bates tried to interfere, but she got caught when she tried showing Rhodes her book. Rhodes placed her in the corner and sidestepped Avalon when he went running after The Natural. Rhodes hit the Final Reckoning on Avalon for the win.

Emi Sakura defeated Allie, Penelope Ford, and Sadie Gibbs in a four-way match

We had a four-way collar-and-elbow tie-up, followed by a four-way Greco Roman knuckle lock that Gibbs got the best of. In fact her knuckle lock on Allie and Sakura was so bad that Ford even sold it.

Sakura did a dosey-doe with referee Rick Knox and held his arm out long enough that he accidentally elbowed Ford. Sakura slapped a surfboard on Ford. Allie snuck in and tried to cover Sakura, but she was smart enough to let go of the surfboard and kick out.

Ford and Gibbs formed a brief alliance, but it broke down when they fought over who got to pin Allie. Excalibur claimed the fans were chanting for Sakura. They were doing no such thing. However, the fans did boo the Blonde Girl Alliance as all three teamed up on Sakura briefly.

Sakura came back and gave all three a Vader Bomb for a simultaneous two count on each. Gibbs threw a clothesline so high that Ford didn’t even bother ducking. Sakura pinned Ford with a Tiger Driver. They showed some of the least interested fans applauding.

This week’s From Undesirable to Undeniable with Cody Rhodes saw him interviewing Maxwell Jacob Friedman.

MJF said in his wrestling career he never felt undesirable, but he did when playing football as a kid because he was the only Jewish kid and the other kids didn’t like a Jewish person taking their spot on the team. In fact, his teammates bullied him by throwing quarters at him. MJF said the kid who bullied him (whose name they bleeped) is a drug addict who dropped out of college, while he is famous and hangs out with the coolest person in the world.

We were magically whisked away to the AEW Control Center where Tony Schiavone previewed Dynamite. This segued into a video building up The Lucha Bros vs. SoCal Uncensored in the finals of the AEW Tag Team title tournament.

**********

Alex Marvez interviewed Kip Sabian about his upcoming six-man tag. On Wednesday night, Sabian will team with Jack Evans & Angelico to face Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks. Sabian said he won the very first singles match in AEW history and he has the best record of everyone who hasn’t been on Dynamite yet. His plan is to beat The Elite and become The Elite. Sabian said he hated Marvez.

Darby Allin defeated Jimmy Havoc and Jack Evans in a triple threat falls count anywhere match

Main event time. This match was not sponsored by Cracker Barrel, so there was no Cracker Barrel barrel for Allin and Havoc to destroy.

Not that he had a ton of competition, but Allin had the best reaction of anyone who came out on the show tonight. Allin and Evans both were going about 125 miles per hour and it was up to Havoc to slow them down. Havoc held up a chair as Allin came through the ropes with a suicide dive. For once I’m not being facetious — Allin did a suicide dive and Havoc was almost like “Hey, look at this chair!”

Havoc did a dive over the guardrail and into the crowd, which gave Jim Ross and Excalibur a chance to plug AEWTix.com, saying that the only way to have Havoc dive over the railing and into your lap is to go to the show.

Evans, who has been wrestling for over a decade, gave a suplex to Havoc on the ramp, got up, and played to the crowd for a few seconds before making the cover. Havoc did a diving elbow drop onto Allin on the floor and, seconds later, Evans did a flipping dive onto both of them.

We fought back to the ring and Evans threw some chairs in. The fans chanted for tables, so Evans threw more chairs into the ring. Havoc gave Allin the old Cesaro superplex where Allin was standing on the ring apron and Havoc stood on the middle rope and lifted him for the superplex.

Havoc used a Tiger Driver 98 on Allin on a chair. Evans broke the pin up, so Havoc threw a chair in his face. However, Havoc learned that if you live by the chair, you die by the chair. Evans dropped him with a side suplex on the edge of a chair and then hit a 450 splash, but only for a two count.

We finally got our table, but it was used for Havoc to give Evans a piledriver through. As he went for the cover, Allin came out of nowhere (or the corner turnbuckle) with a chair-assisted Coffin Drop on Havoc and covered Evans for the pin.

Final Thoughts —

Not sure what happened to the loud crowd in Pittsburgh for Dynamite, because the Dark crowd was mellow. The main event was not as bat crap crazy as you might expect considering the stipulation, but that made it better.

VIDEO: Falls count anywhere match headlines AEW Dark episode four

Tonight’s AEW Dark will feature three matches that were taped at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania last Wednesday:

The episode premieres on YouTube at 7 p.m. Eastern time. A falls count anywhere match will headline the show, with Jimmy Havoc facing off with Darby Allin and Jack Evans.

Evans vs. Joey Janela was originally announced for last week’s Dynamite, but that was changed to Janela facing Kenny Omega.

This was the first time Allin wrestled since unsuccessfully challenging for Chris Jericho’s AEW World Championship in the main event of the third episode of Dynamite.

Emi Sakura vs. Allie vs. Sadie Gibbs vs. Penelope Ford is also set for tonight’s AEW Dark, along with Dustin Rhodes & Sonny Kiss vs. Peter Avalon & QT Marshall.

Tomorrow’s Dynamite is taking place at the Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, West Virginia. The episode will feature The Lucha Bros and SoCal Uncensored facing off in the finals of the AEW Tag Team title tournament.

Two matches announced for AEW Dark

AEW has announced two matches for next Tuesday’s edition of AEW Dark.

Both of the matches will be taped this Wednesday before premiering on YouTube at 7 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesday, October 29. Darby Allin, Jimmy Havoc, and Jack Evans will face off in a three-way match, while Dustin Rhodes & Sonny Kiss will team against Peter Avalon & QT Marshall (Michael Cuellari).

Evans vs. Joey Janela was originally announced for this week’s Dynamite, but the match was changed to Janela facing Kenny Omega instead.

Allin unsuccessfully challenged for Chris Jericho’s AEW World Championship in a Philadelphia street fight on last week’s Dynamite.

An Undesirable to Undeniable segment with Cody Rhodes and Marshall aired on this week’s AEW Dark. It covered Marshall’s career, his time in Ring of Honor and suffering a neck injury, and working behind the scenes in AEW. Cody revealed that Marshall would be having his first AEW match.

Tomorrow’s live episode of Dynamite and AEW Dark tapings are taking place at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

AEW holding fan vote to decide final team for Tag title tournament

AEW is holding a fan vote to determine the final team for their Tag title tournament.

On Twitter today, AEW opened voting to decide whether Luchasaurus & Jungle Boy or Angelico & Jack Evans will be the final team in the tournament. Both teams having winless records was the reason given for the fan vote.

As would be expected, Luchasaurus & Jungle Boy are solidly in the lead at press time. They have 85 percent of the vote to Angelico & Evans’ 15 percent.

Voting ends tomorrow (Saturday, September 14) at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time.

Angelico & Evans lost to Private Party (Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy) on the All Out pre-show last month. After the match, there was an angle where Angelico & Evans turned heel by attacking Private Party.

The Dark Order got a first-round bye in the Tag Team title tournament by defeating Best Friends (Trent Barreta & Chuck Taylor) at All Out. A first-round match between The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) and Private Party has been announced for week two of AEW TV on Wednesday, October 9. The rest of the teams for the tournament have yet to be revealed.

The semifinals of the tournament are set for week four of AEW TV on Wednesday, October 23. The inaugural champions will then be crowned on week five of AEW TV.

Private Party vs. Angelico & Jack Evans set for AEW All Out pre-show

A tag team match has been added to the All Out pre-show.

The latest episode of AEW’s Road to All Out series included the announcement that Private Party (Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy) vs. Angelico & Jack Evans will take place on the pre-show for the pay-per-view. The pre-show will also include AEW’s women’s Casino Battle Royale.

Private Party and Angelico & Evans have each had two matches for AEW thus far. Quen and Kassidy were entrants in the Casino Battle Royale at Double or Nothing. On the Fyter Fest pre-show, Best Friends (Trent Barreta & Chuck Taylor) defeated Private Party and SoCal Uncensored (Scorpio Sky & Frankie Kazarian) in a three-way match.

Private Party are facing The Young Bucks in a Tag Team title tournament first-round match on week two of AEW television.

Angelico & Evans lost to Best Friends at Double or Nothing, with The Dark Order (Evil Uno & Stu Grayson) attacking both teams after the match. The Dark Order then defeated Luchasaurus & Jungle Boy and Angelico & Evans in a three-way match at Fight for the Fallen.

All Out is taking place at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois on Saturday, August 31.

Episode seven of the Road to All Out is available to watch below:

Three-way tag match announced for AEW Fight for the Fallen

A three-way tag match has been made official for Fight for the Fallen.

The Dark Order (Evil Uno & Stu Grayson) vs. Angelico & Jack Evans vs. Luchasaurus & Jungle Boy is set for Saturday’s show. The winning team will advance to All Out on August 31, where they’ll have a chance to earn a first-round bye in AEW’s Tag Team title tournament.

Uno & Grayson were formerly known as the Super Smash Bros. They appeared at Double or Nothing in May and attacked Best Friends (Trent Barreta & Chuck Taylor) and Angelico & Evans.

Best Friends defeated Private Party (Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy) and SoCal Uncensored (Scorpio Sky & Frankie Kazarian) on the Fyter Fest pre-show. As a stipulation of winning, Best Friends advanced to All Out and will compete for a first-round bye in the Tag title tournament.

A video from the Dark Order aired after Best Friends’ win at Fyter Fest. Uno & Grayson said Barreta & Taylor are first on their list of targets.

Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy were both in the Casino Battle Royale on the Double or Nothing pre-show. Hangman Page defeated Jimmy Havoc, MJF, and Jungle Boy (w/ Luchasaurus) in a four-way match at Fyter Fest.

During his appearance on the Steve Austin Show last month, AEW’s Tony Khan said the Tag Team title tournament will be “one of the main focuses” of AEW television when it debuts this fall.

Fight for the Fallen is being held at Daily’s Place Amphitheater in Jacksonville, Florida this Saturday. Here’s the updated card:

  • The Young Bucks vs. Cody & Dustin Rhodes
  • Kenny Omega vs. CIMA
  • Brandi Rhodes vs. Allie
  • Hangman Page vs. Kip Sabian
  • Chris Jericho will have a “live mic”
  • Pentagon Jr. & Fenix vs. Scorpio Sky & Frankie Kazarian (w/ Christopher Daniels)
  • The Dark Order vs. Angelico & Jack Evans vs. Luchasaurus & Jungle Boy (winning team advances to All Out for a shot at a first-round bye in AEW’s Tag Team title tournament)
  • Jimmy Havoc, Darby Allin & Joey Janela vs. MJF, Sammy Guevara & Shawn Spears
  • Sonny Kiss vs. Peter Avalon (w/ Leva Bates)

Two tag matches added to AEW Double or Nothing

With the show now under two weeks away, AEW has added a couple of matches to the card for Double or Nothing.

During this week’s episode of Being the Elite, two tag matches were announced for Double or Nothing. Best Friends (Trent Barreta & Chuck Taylor) will face Angelico & Jack Evans, while Aja Kong, Yuka Sakazaki & Emi Sakura will team against Hikaru Shida, Riho & Ryo Mizunami in a six-woman tag match.

Angelico & Evans joining AEW was revealed last week. Best Friends had been involved in a storyline where they were refusing to be in the battle royal at Double or Nothing and demanding to be in a different match.

Dave Meltzer reported in the most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Riho has signed a five-show deal with AEW and wants to see how she likes working in the United States before she commits to a longer deal. Aja Kong and Sakazaki were announced for Double or Nothing at February’s ticket announcement party, while Shida signing with AEW was confirmed in April.

Double or Nothing is taking place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 25. Here’s the updated card:

  • Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho
  • AAA Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks defending against The Lucha Bros (Pentagon Jr. & Fenix)
  • Cody vs. Dustin Rhodes
  • Hangman Page vs. PAC
  • Dr. Britt Baker vs. Nyla Rose vs. Kylie Rae
  • SoCal Uncensored (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky) vs. Strong Hearts (CIMA, T-Hawk & El Lindaman)
  • Aja Kong, Yuka Sakazaki & Emi Sakura vs. Hikaru Shida, Riho & Ryo Mizunami
  • Best Friends (Trent Barreta & Chuck Taylor) vs. Angelico & Jack Evans
  • Casino Battle Royale (pre-show, winner gets a title shot against the AEW World Champion)
  • Sammy Guevara vs. Kip Sabian (pre-show)

Jack Evans, coach Jerry Lynn, referee Rick Knox join AEW

All Elite Wrestling has announced three new additions to the company.

In a video that Angelico posted confirming that he’s signed with AEW, it was revealed that Jack Evans will be joining him in the promotion. Angelico & Evans are former three-time AAA Tag Team Champions as Los Gueros del Cielo.

The other two additions AEW announced aren’t part of the in-ring roster. Former ECW and ROH World Champion Jerry Lynn has joined AEW as a coach/producer, while Rick Knox has signed with AEW as a referee.

PWG and Lucha Underground are among the promotions that Knox has refereed for. The announcement of Knox signing with AEW was made at Bar Wrestling’s show in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday night, with SoCal Uncensored noting that Knox will be the referee for The Young Bucks’ AAA Tag Team title defense against Pentagon Jr. & Fenix at Double or Nothing in Las Vegas on May 25.

The Young Bucks appeared at Wednesday’s Bar Wrestling show and made the announcement that Knox has signed with AEW.

Lynn and Knox both took part in All In last September as referees.

Lucha Underground results: Pentagon vs. Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Chavo Guerrero

The show starts off with a recap of Pentagon Dark snapping the arm of El Dragon Azteca Jr.

We see him beat Chavo Guerrero, and then get a recap of the Famous B saga with Mascarita Sagrada and Dr. Wagner Jr. joining the fray. Johnny Mundo’s anger over not getting a Lucha Underground title shot is shown, setting up Jack Evans vs. Sexy Star for the Gift of the Gods title later tonight.

El Dragon Azteca Jr. talks to the spirit of his mentor about fighting with honor when his opponent won’t. Chavo attacks him with a chair and says that he won’t let a punk take his chance for revenge away from him — so he batters the camera from Azteca’s POV with a chair. Rey Mysterio Jr. comes in to survey the scene and begs for help before screaming to the heavens that it’s Chavo.

Slapbak is our house band, thankfully preventing Matt Striker from making monkey jokes this time around. Dr. Wagner Jr. and Famous B team up for the first time tonight, and Famous B sees in-ring action for the first time in over one season of the show. Son of Havoc teams with Mascarita Sagrada here, and Havoc rides down to the ring with Sagrada in a customized sidecar. Well, that’s adorable.

Dr. Wagner Jr. & Famous B defeated Son of Havoc & Mascarita Sagrada

The faces start things off with flip dives, and Sagrada beats Wagner up on the floor. Fortunately, Famous B spends more time with Sagrada after that. Mid-ring, Wagner gets two with a sit-out powerbomb. Famous B stomps away at Sagrada while the fans chant 423-U-Suck. Famous B holds Sagrada so Wagner can superkick his leg. Brenda is perfectly annoying on the floor degrading and insulting Sagrada. Wagner eats a flying headscissors, opening the door for Havoc to come in.

He lands a slick pump kick and elbows away before getting two off a crossbody. Famous B gets caught making the save and eats a back suplex. Wagner is thrown out and Havoc grabs B and tags in Sagrada, who crossbody blocks him and hits an airplane spin. Havoc goes up top, but Wagner kicks him down and a Wagner Driver ends things for Sagrada. B gets his stethoscope on and covers Sagrada with it to win, earning B his first win in three seasons.

The unseen white rabbit tribe asks how long forever is. Vampiro hypes up Pentagon Dark vs. Azteca before hyping the main event. Striker says that Dario’s Dial of Doom returns, and now we get clips of past shows along with still photos of the action to show you what happened before. Jack Evans comes out to face Sexy Star. Evans talks smack and gets the hell slapped out of him for it.

Gift of the Gods Champion Sexy Star defeated Jack Evans to retain her title

Evans stalls for a bit and then dropkicks Star down before posing. She lands a flying armdrag off the top and then flies off the apron with a seated senton. She drags him around by his hair and lands some forearms. She posts him leading to a “post-traumatic stress disorder” line from Striker that actually makes Vampiro laugh.

Evans regains control and kicks Star on the mat hard. Evans insults her in Spanish, leading Striker to ask Vampiro if his poor Spanish offends him. A mafia kick lands for Star but only gets two. Evans lands a series of sick knees to the face before rubbing Star’s face against the buckle. Evans flips around a bunch before a multi-backflip thumb to the eye. Star reverses a whip and lands a series of shoulders to the gut and a pair of bronco busters for two.

Star slaps Evans’ chest before putting him in a Gory special and dropping him to his knees for two. Star charges into the corner, but eats a kick and a neckbreaker for two. Evans goes up top and gets slammed to the floor before Star hits a crossbody to the floor.

PJ Black flies around from the crowd into the ring before Mundo spears Star on the floor and then rolls under the ring. That only gets two. Mundo tries to come in, but Drago and Aerostar come down to take Mundo and Black out. Evans gets his flipping backslide, but his feet are on the rope — so Fenix points it out and then leaves.

Star gets a Singapore cane and hits Evans in the groin before hitting a spinning fisherman suplex for the win.

Dario Cueto is on the phone and thanks someone before telling Chavo that Azteca isn’t leaving any time soon. Cueto makes Chavo vs. Azteca, but Mysterio calls Chavo a piece of sh*t for taking Azteca out. He wants to face Chavo in the main event tonight. But first, a kung fu fight breaks out as it always does, and Mysterio wins this one.

Cueto says he loves this and Chavo gains a brief edge. This gives Dario an idea — Pentagon Dark is in the main event because he promised him, but he’ll make a three-way match tonight between all of them.

Pentagon Dark defeated Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Rey Mysterio Jr.

Mysterio gets double teamed to start, but lands a series of headscissors and ranas. Chavo gets sent to the floor and Mysterio lands a deja vu headscissors on Pentagon. He flies over the top with a huge dive to both before enjoying the cheers of the crowd. Mysterio sends Pentagon in and lands a seated senton. A springboard crossbody gets two.

Chavo grabs his chair and boots Mysterio on the floor. Pentagon lands a series of nasty kicks on each before kicking Mysterio down on the floor and yelling Cero Miedo into the camera.

Pentagon grabs the chair and slaps it to get the fans hyped and wedges it in the corner. He goes to toss Mysterio in, but it’s reversed and Chavo drop toeholds him into it. Mysterio gets a cradle for two before Striker talks about the WWE history of Mysterio and Chavo, while Vampiro says that this really goes back to Chavo Classic and Chavo against Rey Sr. and Rey Jr.

Chavo lands a sick kick in the corner to Pentagon before uppercutting Mysterio in the corner. Mysterio slides under Chavo and lands an enzuigiri on Chavo. Pentagon baseball slides Mysterio on the apron and gets sent to the floor. Chavo lands a dropkick and a senton gets two.

Mysterio monkey flips Chavo out of the corner. Chavo lands three amigos, drawing the ire of Striker for some reason. Pentagon Dark powerbombs Mysterio for two. Mysterio rolls Pentagon into Chavo for a dual 619. Pentagon gets the win on Mysterio after the package piledriver. Mysterio attacks Chavo, but he gets pounced and Chavo hits him with the chair on the head and then the knee. Chavo wraps him into a tree of woe and chair shots the knee.

Lucha Underground results: Johnny Mundo vs. Cage; Taya Valkyrie debuts

The show opens with a recap of Mundo and Cage talking smack last week before transitioning to Texano beating up Chavo. The recap ends with Cage kicking Mundo’s ass and hitting Weapon X. We hear a monologue about how “Ian just thought Vampiro was a voice in the head” and how Vampiro would be freed from Ian’s mind thanks to using Pentagon Jr. So basically, “Vampiro” is like the alien symbiote in Spider-Man.

Striker and black rimmed glasses Vamp welcome us to the show. Jack Evans interrupts Melissa Santos and tells the crowd to be quiet – the hero they didn’t know they had was trying to speak.

PJ Black vs. Jack Evans

Striker gets in his second “Dr. Black” reference in regards to PJ Black, and Evans gets a cheapshot to the gut off a handshake. PJ lands some shots, but gets crotched up top briefly. German suplex gets 2, and Black lands a suplex after Evans goes for a spinning headscissors. Striker gets off a wacky line and Vamp threatens to take away his notes. Drago is in the crowd looking “Lucifer-iffic” according to Striker.  Evans talks smack and tosses a water bottle at Drago, so he comes down. This distraction lets PJ hit the Black Diamond lifting cutter for 2.5, but a mist attempt misses, hits Black and the bridging backslide wins for Evans.

Famous B gets a wacky ’80s used car salesman ad saying that if you call his number, he’ll make ya famous! This was hilarious, and had a VHS filter on that is perfect for El Rey. King Cuerno is just in the ring for a match, against Killshot.

King Cuerno vs. Killshot

Lots of chops and kicks to start this off. Killshot sends him to the floor with a nasty chop and gets a flip dive. Cuerno recovers and goes for a Thrill of the Hunt off the apron to the floor, but it gets countered into a cutter off the apron instead. We get a boo/yay punch exchange that turns into a chop exchange. A nasty single leg dropkick hits from Cuerno! Killshot goes for a middle rope moonsault, but eats a kick to the gut. They go for tombstones and counters before Killshot decides “no, the TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER isn’t enough – and gets a gutbuster”. Cuerno recovers and hits the Thrill of the Hunt to win. Cuerno goes for the Thrill of the Kill piledriver, but Fenix saves Killshot. Next, Taxano faces Chavo and the Crew in a gauntlet match.

Texano vs. The Crew and Chavo Guerrero – Gauntlet Match

Chavo sends Mr. Cisco out first. Texano superkicks him while Striker says that Lt. Loco is losing it. Chavo distracts him, so Castro can attack – but he eats a back elbow. Corner lariats hit for Texano, but he then eats a high kick in the corner. Tornado DDT gets 2 for Castro. Castro goes for a La Magistrol, but Texano gets one of his own after a wacky lucha setup. Discus elbow by Castro leads to him running in and eating a powerbomb for the win. Chavo jumps Texano and gets 2. Shortarm lariat hits for Chavo, and Striker calls him a man who was at one point one of the best in the world. Vamp rightfully buries him for this. Texano runs wild with a big forearm smash in the corner. Big backdrop hits for Texano. Texano goes for a suplex on the apron, but Castro uses the bullrope to hold the foot down ala Heenan doing so to Warrior to give Rude the win at WrestleMania V.

375 miles from Boyle Heights, Matanza kills some dudes inside the warehouse. Dario tells Black Lotus that she started a war, and that their mother hurt Dario and Matanza. One day, he stood up to her and he wasn’t strong enough then to back up his words. Matanza saved him from a hot iron, but Matanza hit her with the red bull decoration until he killed her. For Dario, it was a happy memory and he leaned how much he loved violence that day. Catrina saunters around the Temple and Pentagon Jr. tells her that the needs to go teach Prince Puma a lesson.

She tells him that she has no reason to give him the match, and as is customary, a wacky kung fu movie fight broke out. Pentagon wins and gets her in the arm snapper position – so she gives him his match, disappears, reappears in the other corner and tells him he’s got his match, but he has made the biggest mistake he could ever make. Johnny Mundo comes out to face Cage. Cage is still a machine.

Johnny Mundo vs. Cage

Mundo slaps him to start and takes him down for some mounted punches. They get up and Mundo gets some gut punches and then eats a hopefully low-carb lariat. Hiptoss into a neckbreaker lands for Cage. They fight up top and Johnny hops down the apron to kick Cage. They go to the floor and Mundo gets a step-up dive using the ringpost! Mundo grinds him down with a chinlock. Mundo avoids a pumphandle and Mundo lands a calf kick. Cage lands a backdrop and hits a lariat. Cage gets 2 off a sitout Albama slam-style powerbomb.

Mundo gets his back/neckbreaker combo and goes for the End of the World, but gets stopped and chopped for 2. Mundo lands a superkick on the apron and slides through for a sunset flip for 2. Mundo’s foot is caught and hits a flip kick, but eats a Lucha Destroyer for 2. Flying Chuck hits for Mundo, but the End of the World misses. Discus lariat hits and he stares at Mil. Weapon X hits before Taya Valkyrie comes out. Mundo cracks him in the head with a lead pipe to win. Taya and Johnny put the furry boots to Cage. Taya saunters into the corner and lands a pair of shotgun knees to the face.

Cuerno goes to Catrina’s office and says that Fenix won’t die and he’s tired of carrying the title around – he wants his title match. Catrina tells him that he’ll get a match – against Fenix for the Gift of the Gods Title. Catrina says that Fenix can fly, and she hopes Cuerno can too because it’s a ladder match.
