World title match set for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door

The second title defense for new AEW World Champion Hangman Page will come at this month’s Forbidden Door pay-per-view against a familiar foe in former champion MJF.

During Wednesday’s Dynamite, the two had an in-ring confrontation as Page has been a thorn in MJF’s side for several weeks, unwilling to take his bait as he holds an anytime, anywhere World title shot earned at All In: Texas in the Casino Gauntlet match.

The two threw insults at each other until Page got MJF so heated by calling him a coward and demanding he cash in his shot at Forbidden Door that MJF finally agreed and then quickly regretted it.

It will be Page’s second title defense after retaining against former champion Jon Moxley on the July 30th Dynamite, and MJF’s first World title shot since he lost it to Samoa Joe at December 2023’s Worlds End.

The two have a history in AEW and one that has seen them in two singles matches before: one in the 2019 Dynamite Diamond ring finals that MJF won and another this past March at Revolution that Page won.

AEW Collision live results: Hangman Page & JetSpeed vs. LFI

AEW Collision returns live on TNT Saturday from Roanoke, Virginia — home state of AEW World Champion Hangman Page.

Page will be on the show, teaming with JetSpeed (Mike Bailey & Kevin Knight) against LFI’s Rush, Dralistico & The Beast Mortos.

After defeating Dustin Rhodes for the title last week in a violent street fight, Kyle Fletcher will defend the TNT title for the first time as he faces NJPW’s Tomohiro Ishii.

In a six-woman tag team match set up on Dynamite, former TBS Champion Willow Nightingale, Queen Aminata and Tay Melo take on the Triangle of Madness (Thekla, former TBS Champion Julia Hart and Skye Blue).

**********

AEW Collision comes on the air with Tony Schiavone welcoming us alongside Nigel McGuinness & Emmy and Golden Globe award winner Paul Walter Hauser, as the music for Kyle Fletcher hits and it’s time for our opening TNT Title match.

Kyle Fletcher vs. New Japan Strong Openweight Champion Tomohiro Ishii for the TNT Title

(This was like a refrigerator taking on a skyscraper, as the stare down to kick off the match was quite the sight to see. A great first title defense for Fletcher, who looked awfully impressive in this one, which should come as no surprise, as it’s impossible to have a bad match with Ishii. The post-match sets the stage for the challenge that Fletcher wants New Japan’s best to face him at Forbidden Door for the TNT Title. We’re told that challenge should be answered next week.)

The size advantage for Fletcher is beyond substantial during the opening face-off, but it doesn’t matter to Ishii, who showed no fear and immediately ramped up a forearm battle for a full minute. Lariat connected for Ishii, but Fletcher dodged a sliding lariat, threw a wild lariat of his own, which Ishii ducked, causing Fletcher to take a powder. Back inside, Ishii lit up Fletcher with corner chops, but Fletcher battled back with a huge big boot to regain control. Ishii answered with a Saito Suplex, but ran right into a Michinoku Driver, as Fletcher did the deal with things going to break.

It was all Fletcher during commercial, but when things returned, Ishii no sold and flattened Fletcher with a suplex before going back to corner chops. Taking a page out of his pal Willow Nightingale’s playbook, Ishii Pounced Fletcher clear across the ring before an uppercut headbutt in the corner led to a huge superplex for two. Ishii missed a charge, allowing Fletcher to hit a sprinting leg lariat. Fletcher fired off thrust kicks before hitting a violent brainbuster on the apron. Top rope elbow got Fletcher another near fall, which led to both men no selling snap Dragon/German suplexes respectively before colliding with dueling kicks for the double down.

Slugfest saw Ishii throwing an uppercut forearm, but Fletcher responded with a leg lariat, looked for a superplex of his own, but Ishii slid out into a powerbomb. Lariat turned Fletcher inside out for a close two. Both were up again, as Ishii hit a desperation uppercut headbutt and collapsed on Fletcher for two. Fletcher battled back with a powerbomb and multiple corner boots, leading to his Sheer Drop Brainbuster for the win.

Post-match, Fletcher said the fans have just witnessed history in the first defense in the greatest title reign in AEW history. Ishii was yet another legend Fletcher has mopped the floor with to go along with Adam Cole & Dustin Rhodes. Fletcher is thinking about Forbidden Door and also his former New Japan days. Fletcher wants NJPW to send their pound for pound best to face him for the TNT Title. It won’t matter who, though, as he’ll still be holding the title high above his head, while everyone will be forced to say his full name.

Match Result: Kyle Fletcher defeated Tomohiro Ishii to retain the TNT Title

-Don Callis was standing by backstage, happy that Fletcher defeated Ishii to kick off his destiny as the greatest TNT Champion of all time. Callis brought up his own success in New Japan years ago and sends a message to management to send their best in New Japan to face Kyle Fletcher in Cincinnati next week and answer the call for a match at Forbidden Door.

-Tony Schiavone tells us next week on Dynamite (but the graphic was for Collision) it will be a “Technical Spectacle” with Hechicero vs. Nigel McGuinness vs. Lee Moriarty vs. Daniel Garcia to see who will face Zack Sabre Jr. for the IWGP World Title at Forbidden Door.

-Earlier today, the Gates of Agony & Ricochet are shown demolishing some fellas in the back, as Ricochet said he has all this ammo and fire power. His patience is wearing thin, as he’s been nothing but respectful since coming to AEW. They have no problem dismantling everyone in their path, so you’ll give them what they want or they will take it. It’s not a request, it’s a demand.

*********

-Alicia Atout is backstage with The Patriarchy, asking why they did what they did to Christian Cage last week? Kip Sabian said Cage respected them for standing up to him, but didn’t like it when questioning his motives. Everyone is questioning them now, as Nick Wayne said it’s typical and hypocritical of Cage to tell himself what he wants to hear. How are they supposed to be fulfilled, when all Cage does is tell lies? Nick said Cage was right when he said Nick had every tool to be a star, except he’s already a star, so you shouldn’t be shocked of what happened to Cage, as their next goal is to end his career entirely.

Megan Bayne (w/Penelope Ford) vs. Emily Rose

Bayne exploded out of the corner with a shotgun dropkick, corner splash, butterfly suplex and diving clothesline to kick things off. Rose got a back elbow from the corner, slowly climbed the ropes, only to be flattened with a running Liger Bomb by Bayne for the easy win.

Match Result: Megan Bayne defeated Emily Rose

-Lexy Nair is backstage with Big Bill & Bryan Keith, who is furious at Juice Robinson & Austin Gunn for knocking them out of the Tag Team Tournament. Next time Bill sees Robinson, he’s ripping his head off, as he’s got exactly what’s coming to him.

Juice Robinson (w/Austin Gunn) vs. Ricochet

(Ricochet gets back in the win column, but there was so much chaos going around ringside during the finish, that none of the three commentators noticed the 7-foot-tall gentleman getting in the ring and clobbering one of the competitors with a big boot. After the promo before this match, you knew Big Bill would get involved somehow to continue the feud with Robinson after the Bang Bang Gang eliminated The Learning Tree from the Tag Team Tournament a few weeks ago.)

In the early going, Ricochet went to the floor and chopped poor Cardblade Jay White, as Gunn made the save and held it high. In the ring, Ricochet tried to dodge a chop from Robinson, who put on the brakes and paint brushed the bald head before hitting a senton for two. Corner punches in bunches from Robinson, until Toa Liona slowly walks out to the stage to run distraction not only on Gunn, but the referee as well. Bishop Kaun appeared ringside, pulling Robinson to the floor, allowing Ricochet to hit a dive taking things to break.

Robinson remained grounded during commercial, but managed a spinebuster to get things rolling, followed by some snap jabs and Axe Kick for two. Juice is Loose blocked into a wall walk from Ricochet into a corner dropkick for a near fall of his own. Ricochet dodged a second Axe Kick, but Robinson connected with the comeback lariat that turned Ricochet inside out. Ricochet continuously hung-up Robinson throat first over the top and followed with a springboard lariat and Lionsault before a standing Shooting Star got two. Ricochet took too long to follow-up, allowing Robinson to hit a Flatliner and cradle for two. Kaun jumped on the apron, but Gunn pulled him down, only for Liona to hit a huge Pounce across the announce table. Everyone is distracted, with no one seeing Big Bill appearing and clocking Robinson with a big boot, as Ricochet hit a Spirit Gun to win it as Bill & Bryan Keith shot finger guns from the stage.

Match Result: Ricochet defeated Juice Robinson

-By the Numbers video package on Athena is shown 67-0 in ROH singles matches, 30 title defenses, 25 different opponents and 3 former AEW Champions. The longest title reign in Ring of Honor history. The only title shot Athena has gotten in AEW, she’s lost, but wasn’t pinned, as the AEW Women’s Champion during that time, Timeless Toni Storm. This was a good, brief, package on the challenger for the AEW Women’s Title come Forbidden Door.

-Footage last week of La Faccion Ingobernable beating down Max Caster after Rush was the first to last the full 5 minutes during the Best Wrestler Alive Open Challenge. Lexy Nair is backstage with Max Caster, who said Rush had a moral victory last week by surviving 5 minutes with the Best Wrestler Alive. Nair brought up AR Fox & JetSpeed making the save, but Caster said thanks for the help, but next time, no thanks. Caster started doing push-ups while doing his chant, even standing by some large Nutcrackers (I’m serious) while Nair was holding back laughter.

Stokely & FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) vs. Ryan Zukko, Joe Keys & Josh Fuller

(I know they’re heels, but the crowd absolutely loved Stokely during this match. They wanted one thing and one thing only, for Stokely to get in the ring and popped big when he finally made the tag.)

Stokely came out with his crutch, but threw it down in defiance as the bell rang. Hauser brought up the trio of Zukko, Keys & Fuller look like fathers trying to coach their sons’ teams. There’s We Want Stoke chants from the crowd, as Harwood & Wheeler took their turns putting a beating on their opponents until finally Stoke tagged in. After a few punches, Fuller battled back and Stokely quickly scurried for a tag. Zukko tried a pin attempt on Harwood, who immediately kicked out and FTR hit a Shatter Machine. Both Harwood & Wheeler held up Zukko, as Stokely leapt off the second rope for a Spike Piledriver and got the pin for his team.

Winners: Stokely & FTR defeated Ryan Zukko, Joe Keys & Josh Fuller when Stokely pinned Zukko

-Video package on the recent history and feud between Darby Allin & Jon Moxley was shown and Allin’s challenge for Forbidden Door.

Hechicero vs. AR Fox

Daniel Garcia joined commentary for this bout, as McGuinness shook his hand, wishing him luck next week in the Technical Spectacle. Hechicero wasted no time attacking at the bell, as Lee Moriarty and the rest of Shane Taylor Promotions were watching on backstage. Fox reversed a whip into a Sling Blade, leading to two Topes before the third saw Fox clear the top with a Somersault Suicida. Back inside, Fox tried a Swanton, but Hechicero got the knees up. Hechicero countered a Tornado DDT into El Conjuro as things went to commercial.

Fox battled back with a kip up enzugiri and leaping corner elbow before a rolling cutter connected. Fox went up top and connected this time with the Swanton for a close two. Hauser called Fox a relatable underdog, as a rolling DVD saw Fox completely miss a 450 Splash, leading to Hechicero to hit the head scissors driver before sinking in the rolling submission for the win.

Match Result: Hechicero defeated AR Fox

-Video package on the ups and downs of Anthony Bowens & Max Caster of the past few months. Both have been losing a whole bunch, Caster has been getting his ass kicked, while Bowens is constantly complaining to Billy Gunn he’s not where he wants to be in his career. I still don’t know why either of these directions should make us want to see an Acclaimed reunion potentially, but I guess this is the direction we might get? Or Bowens turns on Gunn and Caster turns babyface.

**********

-Footage of Harley Cameron, with her face heavily bandaged, watching Megan Bayne slam her face into the ring steps during the No DQ tag match a few months ago was shown. Cameron got up, grabbed a face mask from the closet and did her best Jim Carrey impression from The Mask as she spun about before popping up wearing the mask.

Willow Nightingale, Queen Aminata & Tay Melo vs. Triangle of Madness (Thekla, Julia Hart & Skye Blue)

Thekla & Aminata pick up their feud where they left off, as Aminata tried Chocolate Kisses, but Blue put a stop to it. Hauser said Aminata learned that move from Harley Race, which popped Schiavone. Aminata was able to fight off the numbers, as Melo & Hart both tag in. Melo was visibly frustrated she didn’t get the pin 1 minute into the match, as Nightingale tagged in and flattened Thekla & Hart with a double suplex. Nightingale caught Blue coming off the top and sank in a Camel Clutch. Melo & Aminata cut off Thekla & Hart, as the babyface trio posed while using Blue as a prop and things went to picture in picture.

During break, Nightingale was worked over by Triangle of Madness, but Aminata made the save, planting Blue with a reverse DDT. Melo popped Hart with a pump knee, as Nightingale managed a lariat on Thekla, allowing a hot tag to Aminata. Spinning Fisherman’s Suplex on Blue, but Hart broke the count, only to be sent outside. Blue hit a thrust kick on Aminata who connected on a desperation headbutt, falling back to her corner and Melo tag. DD-Tay connected, but Thekla cut Melo off, did her Spider pose, only to be Pounced in mid-air by Nightingale. Hart cut off Melo from attempting a Gory Special on Blue, leading to a double team spinning Rock Bottom by Hart & Blue, who pinned Melo to win it.

Match Result: Triangle of Madness defeated Willow Nightingale, Queen Aminata & Tay Melo when Blue pinned Melo

-Video package of the feud on Collision between the Don Callis Family and recently formed Sky Flight. They told Callis to keep shooting and tighten your aim up, as they aren’t going nowhere.

-FTR & Stokley are celebrating their victory backstage, as Stokely said Adam Copeland turned him into the monster you saw tonight. After Stokely wins on Dynamite, he’s going to make Copeland his hoe. Wheeler said they’re going after the AEW Tag Team Titles and Harwood said forget his ugly wife and brat daughter, all he cares about is winning the Tag Team Titles back. They’ll beat Brodido and go on to hurt The Hurt Syndicate to reclaim their titles.

Max Caster Open Challenge

Max Caster is in the ring and said Rush survived 5 with the Best Wrestler Alive last week and all the Maximaniacs know to do one thing, chant his name. Let’s Go Max, You’re the Best Wrestler Alive got going, Caster stopped them, but said it was better.

AEW Trio Champion Katsuyori Shibata answered the challenge, as the clock started and Shibata chopped the holy hell out of Caster, whose chest is already beat red. Caster did manage a roll-up for two, but Shibata responded with his stalling dropkick and butterfly suplex. Rear Naked Choke applied, as Shibata quickly hit the PK for the win.

Post-match, Caster slowly got up and Shibata offered a handshake, which Caster accepted. Shibata raised his hand until LFI attacked both men. JetSpeed sprinted out, as Speedball Bailey had a board with a chain wrapped around it, while Kevin Knight wielded a hockey stick as things went to break before the main event.

Match Result: Katsuyori Shibata defeated Max Caster

**********

AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page & JetSpeed (Speedball Mike Bailey & Kevin Knight) vs. La Faccion Ingobernable (Rush, Dralistico & The Beast Mortos)

(Big time party match to close the show, as the fans were up for it all the way, especially with the AEW World Champ leading the way. LFI got in a lot of offense and I wouldn’t mind if we got a Rush vs. Page match on TV coming out of this, as they worked together quite well. Just a very solid trios match to send the fans home happy and end a pretty action packed episode of Collision.)

Hero’s welcome for Hangman Adam Page, who grew up nearby in Aarons Creek, Virginia. Page starts off with Mortos, as both handsprung to their feet, only Page was there with a big boot. Rush tagged in and immediately started a forearm exchange before switching to chops. Mortos tried a cheap shot on the apron, which was enough for Dralistico & Rush to get in some boots, until JetSpeed made the save. Rush was sent to the outside, as Page met him with an Orihara Moonsault with the fans going nuts. Back inside, Dralistico & Page exchanged chops, until Dralistico ran right into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. JetSpeed made quick tags, leading to a double gordbuster and dropkick as Dralistico really fought off a Bailey pin attempt before rushing him to his corner. LFI quickly hit locomotion corner splashes and triple snap dropkick until Rush spat at Page. Bailey was worked over until he dodged a Mortos corner splash, as Knight made the hot tag and was moving with lighting quick offense. Rush missed an attack on Knight, but kept running and decked Page as a result. Rush was sent outside with a Knight dropkick, as Dralistico ate a hurricanrana out of the corner, leading to a huge Knight springboard dive as things went to break.

Knight was worked over the entire commercial, as Rush again went to get another shot in on Page, but this time, Page wasn’t having it and decked him. Hot tag by Page, who lit up Rush with forearms in the corner, as Mortos ate a springboard lariat and Dralistico with a Fall Away Slam, as Page followed with a slingshot plancha on Mortos. Back inside, DVD to Rush, who battled back and looked for Bulls Horns, only to be met with a springboard clothesline by Knight. Dralistico flew in with a springing Destroyer, but Bailey saved his partner with a backflip double knee. Mortos laid out Bailey with a pop-up Samoan Drop, as Rush nearly pinned Page with a flash roll-up for two. Springboard crucifix bomb by Dralistico on Page, who again kicked out at two. Page was triple teamed until JetSpeed made the save, only to be flattened by a Mortos Tornillo and Rush Somersault Suicida.

Dralistico tried another springboard, but Page hit a powerbomb in mid-air, allowing him to try a Buckshot, but was hit with a corkscrew kick. JetSpeed flew in with a double team on Dralistico before hitting stereo dives on Rush & Mortos to the floor. Page finally managed a Buckshot to pin Dralistico and win it for his team.

Match Result: Hangman Adam Page & JetSpeed defeated La Faccion Ingobernable when Page pinned Dralistico

AEW Dynamite 8/13/25

  • Hangman Adam Page & MJF Face-to-Face
  • Adam Copeland vs. Big Stoke
  • Jon Moxley vs. Kevin Knight

AEW Collision 8/16/25

AEW Dynamite live results: World Championship match

The AEW World Championship is on the line as part of tonight’s Dynamite lineup.

In an All In rematch, Hangman Adam Page defends the AEW World title against Jon Moxley in a match where everyone is banned from ringside. Page defeated Moxley for the World title at All In in a Texas Death match earlier this month.

The AEW Tag Team title eliminator tournament continues tonight with a quarterfinals matchup pitting The Young Bucks against The Outrunners.

Coming off his appearance in Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2 movie released last week, MJF will speak on tonight’s show. Bobby Lashley made it clear last week that he wants MJF out of The Hurt Syndicate, a fact MJF will likely address tonight.

A women’s division tag team match is also set for the show, with AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm teaming with Alex Windsor against ROH Women’s World Champion Athena and Billie Starkz. Athena is next in line to challenge Storm for the AEW title after winning the Casino Gauntlet match at All In.

AEW Dynamite comes on the air with Excalibur running down tonight’s full card before going to a highlight package on the incredible war at All In between Hangman Page & Jon Moxley for their Texas Death Match, as well as Death Riders continuing to wreak havoc on Page’s friends in recent weeks. This was an excellent video package hyping tonight’s main event.

The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum) in an AEW Tag Team Title Eliminator Quarterfinal

(A very fun opening contest, as I love the way they’re treating The Bucks, but I didn’t really think the “local talent” should’ve won this match. Especially if all signs point to FTR being the ones to win this tournament. The crowd were loudly pissed off at the result of this, even though The Outrunners and Swerve Strickland stood tall in the post-match. I hope they run this match back down the line and Floyd & Magnum, who looked great in this (of course, they were in their with The Bucks), get their revenge and a win over Matt & Nick.)

The Outrunners cut an inset promo about win, lose or draw, they’re rich, having won $200,000 on Collision last week. The Bucks were already in the ring without an entrance and treated as enhancement talent with their graphic reading “Talent Name” and “Social Media” for their X & Instagram links. The Bucks inset promo was them heavily insulted, as this is no way to treat your founding fathers.

Magnum & Nick have a fast-opening sequence with Nick getting ping ponged between both Outrunners, who fired off a double big boot and huge back drop on both Bucks. Double corner punches in bunches delivered, but The Bucks battled back with dueling dives before hitting their pose for the crowd. Floyd was able to fight off a double back drop and dive for the hot tag to Magnum, who was a house of fire. Matt blocked a double boot in the corner, swung Magnum’s legs around, hung up and Nick hit a Swanton. Superkick laid out Floyd, as Nick followed with a Escalera, before getting into Tony Schiavone’s face, demanding who the superstar is? Excalibur was insulted he was interrupted trying to throw to commercial.

Back from break, Matt spat in the face of Floyd, who nearly got the hot tag, but Nick swept the legs as Magnum dove. Nick ran wild with a series of superkicks until Matt hit a somersault cutter off the apron to the floor on Floyd. Nick connected on a slingshot face buster on Magnum for two before hitting Risky Business with Matt for two. Magnum escaped More Bang for Your Buck and finally got the Floyd hot tag, resulting in the fans going nuts. Huge bodyslams and charging corner elbows as a Northern Lights Bomb on Matt led to a Son of a B*tch elbow attempt, which Nick superkicked away from. Running bulldog/clothesline combo from Floyd, as they tried Total Recall, but Matt made the save with a superkick, as a Superkick Party ramped up until Floyd no sold and turned both inside out with lariats. Son of a B*tch double elbow connects for two, as Nick made the save and hit a moonsault to the floor before an assisted Sliced Bread and running knee for a near fall.

Nick almost collided with referee Rick Knox, but managed a low blow mule kick on Magnum. Nick shoved Knox, who shoved him back, as Magnum got a roll-up for two. The Bucks accidentally superkicked each other, allowing Total Recall to connect on Matt, but Nick dove to make the save. This Is Awesome chants, as Total Recall was avoided a second time, with Matt getting a school boy with the tights for two. The Bucks managed a TK Driver, as Nick held off Floyd and Matt got the pin. The fans were pretty furious about the result.

Post-match, Kazuchika Okada came down to celebrate with The Bucks, as The Outrunners were both trying to get up in the middle of the ring, but were beat down. Swerve Strickland’s music hit and Okada turned his attention to the stage, not realizing The Outrunners made a comeback, leaving him being pinballed between Strickland, Magnum & Floyd. Huge backdrop by Floyd led to Strickland wanting House Call, but The Bucks pulled Okada to safety. Or so they thought, as Strickland dove onto the pile with a Swerve Stomp.

Match Result: The Young Bucks defeated The Outrunners when Matt pinned Magnum

-Renee Paquette is backstage with Mark Briscoe and brings up his issues with MJF before Ricochet walks in with G.O.A. as he said if Briscoe isn’t careful, Ricochet will bounce Briscoe out of town in a pool of his own blood like he did at Revolution. Briscoe said he’s on a war path and tonight, he’ll kick Ricochet’s ass, but that’s nothing compared to what he does to MJF. Ricochet snapped his fingers to get Briscoe’s attention, as he said tonight, he’s beating Briscoe again and called him a loser before doing his cackle.

**********

-Back from break, Excalibur & Taz mention MJF being in Happy Gilmore 2, as well as having a World Title contract any time he wishes, but brings up The Hurt Syndicate, especially Bobby Lashley, being sick and tired of MJF last week.

MJF is in the back and talks about being in the biggest movie in the world Happy Gilmore 2, but said he’s here to get The Hurt Syndicate back on track. He knocks on The Hurt Syndicate locker room, but only Shelton Benjamin walks out, as Lashley & MVP aren’t there.

MJF said from the bottom of his heart, he’s sorry for Bob’s actions last week, but wants to strategize to get his AEW World Title back, but was cut off. Benjamin said MVP isn’t there because he’s pretty disgusted with MJF. Benjamin asked what time it was and brings up the watch MJF gave him. Benjamin said it’s the nicest watch he’s seen from Temu and knows a cheap knockoff when he sees it. The only reason MJF didn’t get his ass kicked long ago was MVP stuck his neck out for him. He said MJF can get to stepping with his fake watch and if he doesn’t, he’ll leave in a pool of his own piss. Benjamin tossed down the fake watch and gave MJF a thumbs down before slamming the door in his face. MJF screamed for the camera to get out of his face.

Christian Cage Returns

Tony Schiavone welcomes Cage to the ring for the first time since All In. “My name is Christian Cage and I’m an A**hole.” Cage said he’s the type that’s numb to the world and everything in it, as he doesn’t care who is in his way or hurt, he was focused on winning the AEW World Title, fulfilling his destiny. Cage brought up Revolution, hitting a Spear, nearly winning the Title, but took a split second to look down and seeing his past. That hesitation cost him his future and didn’t realize that Kip Sabian & Nick Wayne’s nuts dropped and could stand up to him, despite not earning the right to do so. When it comes to this business, he’s spent more money on rental cars than they’ve spent combined in their career. Cage didn’t stick to the plan because he didn’t think The Patriarchy were capable of pulling off the plan. Nick, Kip & Shayna doesn’t know what it’s like to live the life of luxury and there’s probably a long line of people ready to destroy Cage for what he’s done.

As for Adam Copeland, he heard what was said a few weeks ago, talking about snapping Copeland’s neck and taking care of his wife when it was all said and done. Cage asks if what he said was all that bad, as Copeland understands the game within the game, as he himself was an Ultimate Opportunist, as he can see that in his accomplishments over his career. Maybe Cage did or maybe he didn’t find himself, they’re so different, but they’re also much of the same. The Patriarchy embarrassed Cage at All In, deciding they didn’t need a Patriarch any longer. Cage said Shayna was right, it was hard getting up that night, but he’s gotten out of large, gaping holes before, he’s always clawed his way out. Maybe they had issue with Cage ruling with an iron fist, but it came from the scars of his past. Cage asked Nick how it’s going to go when he has to show up and fight? Cage has always answered the bell for the things that he’s done and said. Cage said Nick is The Prodigy and has more talent than Cage, but he has the audacity to call himself the New Face of AEW, only he’ll have to go through Christian Cage to get that claim. Nick already has one dead father, but now he has a father that’s dead to him. From this moment, Christian Cage disowns them.

As Cage walked up the ramp, Shayne Wayne walked out and tried to slap him, but was blocked. Cage turned and caught Kip Sabian trying to sneak attack, but turned and was cracked with the ROH TV Title by Nick Wayne. Sabian & Nick both had chairs and hit a standing Con-Chair-To on Cage, who collapsed in a heap. Nick screamed that he disowned Cage. I thought the promo itself went pretty long, but the post-promo was good stuff and keeps The Matriarchy looking strong.

**********

-FTR are backstage with Stokely Hathaway, who said they’re one step closer to taking back their AEW Tag Team Titles. Adam Copeland deserves to be banned from ringside tomorrow night, what The Hurt Syndicate did last week was cowardice and The Bang Bang Gang are good, but they aren’t FTR. The Young Bucks walk in and FTR said they’re happy The Bucks won tonight as they put the past in the past and hope to see them in the Finals. They both shake hands as Hathaway stops and said The Bucks aren’t in charge anymore, right? The Bucks agreed, as Hathaway motioned like he was going to back hand them before hobbling away with his crutch. Matt screams that everyone in this company is so fickle! Hathaway was hilarious here.

Hangman Adam Page vs. Jon Moxley for the AEW World Title with Everyone Banned from Ringside

(PPV main event caliber match here in to start the second hour, as this crowd was on fire and ready to see Page stand tall over Moxley. They were rewarded that’s for sure, as these two, as usual, beat the living hell out of one another and it was incredibly refreshing to see it done without so much interference. Sure, it happened briefly towards the finish, but what got Death Riders so many wins over the last year, has continued to blow up in their face, as Moxley remains spooked by the ghosts from his past, this being Darby Allin. It would’ve been such a missed opportunity if this hole time at the Aragon Ballroom Darby didn’t dive off a balcony, which thankfully occurred tonight.)

Extra security is beefed up around ringside, as Tony Schiavone said they know there’s more matches planned for tonight, but they are going to stick with this until there’s a winner. Page wasted no time pouring on the forearms in the opening moments, as that switched to a stiff chop battle, until Moxley opted to bite the forehead. Page got a boot up in the corner and hanging Rear Naked Choke, but Moxley rolled to the outside, where Page decked him over the time keepers table. Back inside, a sliding lariat got Page a near fall, but Moxley recovered with a release German before dishing out punches in bunches in the corner. More release Germans from Moxley, but Page cut him off at the pass, backflipping onto his feet and clocked Moxley with a discus forearm. Fall Away Slam sent Moxley to the apron, as Page kipped up, tried his springboard lariat, missed, but hit the comebacker and slingshot cross body. Death Valley Driver back inside for a near fall, but Moxley answers with a kimura. Page got the ropes, Moxley tried a charge, but ran into a pop-up powerbomb for two. Moxley went outside, where he drove Page into the steps before bringing him up for a piledriver onto the steel as things went to break.

It was all Moxley during the break, as he lit up Page with kicks, only firing Page up in the process. Rolling elbow led to a loud forearm exchange until a misdirect big boot and back drop suplex resulted in a home run lariat from Page for the reset. Page wanted Buckshot, but Moxley exploded with a shotgun dropkick to the floor, as he frantically cleaned off the entire announce table. Moxley wanted a piledriver through it, but Page countered into Dead Eye, only the desk didn’t break. Another lariat back inside by Page, but Moxley kicked out, saying it’ll take a lot more than that. Incredibly impressive moonsault out of the corner by Page, who landed in a Tombstone position and connected for a close two.

Moxey desperately picked the ankle and got the Bulldog Choke, but Gator Rolled into a front face lock. Page managed to reverse into a Crossface, but Moxley just got the ropes. Page wanted a Dead Eye on the apron, but Moxley raked the back and hit a huge piledriver before delivering a Gotch Style version back inside for two. Moxley wanted Death Rider, but Page spun out for a left hook, which only amused Moxley, who had a smile. Forearms from Moxley only woke up Page, who booted Moxley outside before hitting an Orihara Moonsault. Page tried a Buckshot, but Moxley countered, tried Death Rider, Page countered into Dead Eye, only Moxley’s leg clipped referee Paul Turner, we’re told inadvertently.

Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta try coming in from the crowd, but are held off by security, as Marina Shafir threw the AEW Title into Moxley, decking Page, who was trying a Buckshot. Moxley nearly stole it, but Page kicked out to a huge reaction. Turner saw Shafir and booted her from ringside, as security and Castagnoli had to pull her away, as Shafir kept apologizing to Moxley. The pile started to leave, but Darby Allin appeared on the balcony and hit a dive on everyone. Moxley couldn’t believe it, as Page hit a big boot and Buckshot, but Moxley escaped Dead Eye, tried another piledriver, but Page hit Dead Eye. Another Buckshot was the final nail in the coffin and got Page the pin.

Match Result: Hangman Adam Page defeated Jon Moxley to retain the AEW World Title

AEW Women’s Champion Timeless Toni Storm & Alex Windsor vs. ROH Women’s Champion Athena & Billie Starkz

(Solid tag match with Windsor getting a lot of ring time in her Dynamite debut and the finish making the most sense to further the Athena & Storm feud.)

Windsor & Athena picked up where they left off on Collision last week, but Athena posed for Starkz, not realizing Storm tagged in. Once she did, they both put their dukes up and Athena quickly tagged Starkz, who faked a handshake and got a cheap shot. Storm answered with a misdirect snap dropkick and back breaker before Windsor tagged back in for locomotion corner splashes. Both danced their way to the corner for a double big boot and wiped-out Athena for good measure, until Starkz was planted with a hanging DDT through the ropes for two. Chase was on after Athena broke up the count, as Starkz decked Storm with a cheap shot. While celebrating, Windsor hit a somersault dive from the apron to take control of Starkz back inside. Starkz fought back, shooting a double leg and slingshot into the waiting Athena for a spinebuster.

Back from break, Windsor continued being worked over with an assisted hanging double stomp by Starkz until Windsor threw a desperation headbutt. Athena jumped in, but missed a senton, as Windsor nearly got the tag, but Starkz pulled out Storm’s legs. Windsor had to fight back with a series of lariats leading to the double down. Liger Bomb spiked Athena, but Starkz broke the count and ate a charging boot from Storm for her efforts. Discus lariat from Windsor on Athena, but Starkz flew in with a Senton Atomico. Tags made to Starkz & Storm, who ran wild with dropkicks and hip attacks. Mongolian Chops from Storm led to a Thesz Press on Starkz, who ate Sweet Cheek Music, but Athena made a blind tag as it happened. Athena flew in with an O-Face and pinned the AEW Women’s Champion as a result.

Post-match, Starkz slammed Windsor into the barricade, as Athena held her contract over Storm saying it’s only a matter of time and her time is forever.

Match Result: Athena & Billie Starkz defeated Timeless Toni Storm & Alex Windsor when Athena pinned Storm

-Renee Paquette is backstage with Hangman Page, who is being tended to by doctors. MJF struts in and congratulates Seabiscuit on retaining his title. Last time MJF checked, heroes don’t stab people in the head with forks, as he views Page as a coward in this scenario and tries to goad Page into giving him a World Title match and not using his contract. Page said MJF is going to have to earn a title shot if he doesn’t want to use his contract, as he’s going to have to beat someone he’s known for almost 10 years in Mark Briscoe if he wants him to consider giving him a title shot. MJF said the hicks from the sticks always stick together, but Page said there’s no Hurt Syndicate around, there’s nothing holding him back from kicking his ass. MJF furiously stormed out.

**********

-Alicia Atout is backstage with Willow Nightingale and talks about her challenge last week to Thekla going unanswered, but Thekla still formed a new group in the Triangle of Madness. Nightingale said she can have a shape nickname too, calling herself The Trapezoid of Grappezoid and said she talked to Tony Khan about having a match with Thekla on Collision. She said Khan said “damn girl, you wanna get crazy Chi-Style?” and he gave her the match, as Nightingale said that’s how matches are made around here. Nightingale said she’s going to rip off Thekla’s eight legs tomorrow night. Excalibur said that was a shockingly accurate Tony Khan impression by Nightingale.

Mark Briscoe vs. Ricochet

(For the second week in a row, Briscoe gets a main event slot and win, as he’s being built as a legit contender in the World Title scene. I’d honestly love for Briscoe to ultimately win and get the unexpected title shot against Page, something no one would see coming, but it does seem this is a way for MJF to earn a title shot without using his contract. The crowd loves Briscoe and he’s been on an incredibly entertaining run this past month, I’m happy for him, he deserves it.)

Wall walk pump kick from Ricochet early, but Briscoe responded with an enzugiri and forearms in the corner. Briscoe remained in control, as he no sold the forearms Ricochet threw and gave him a hard corner buckle as a result. Briscoe missed a corner charge, but fired off a thrust chop to send Ricochet crashing outside. Gates of Agony make their way ringside and onto the apron, as the distraction was enough for Ricochet to attack from behind and hit a follow-up dive to stand tall with Liona & Kaun heading to commercial.

Back from break, Briscoe hulked up and fired back with strikes until he blocked a pump kick and sent Ricochet flipping over face first. Briscoe paint brushed Ricochet, who took referee Bryce, allowing Liona to pull Briscoe out to the floor, where Ricochet hit a corkscrew dive. Back inside springboard lariat connected flush, which led to a standing Shooting Star for two. Spirit Gun blocked, as Briscoe wanted Jay Driller, but opted to clothesline Ricochet outside instead. Kaun took the bullet, shoving Ricochet out of the way and eating a baseball slide from Briscoe. Setting up a chair in the ring, Briscoe launched off it to the outside onto Kaun & Ricochet as the crowd popped big.

Back inside, Jay Driller was blocked, but not the lariat, which turned Ricochet inside out. Briscoe wanted a Froggy Bow, but Kaun took the ref and Liona sent Briscoe crashing to the mat. Ricochet hit Vertigo, but Briscoe kicked out at two. Liona & Kaun went to get in the ring, but Brody King & Bandido made the save and fight the team they’ll be facing tomorrow on Collision. They all brawl to the back, as Ricochet was left alone, as Briscoe spun him around with a cradle for two. Ricochet up with multiple thrust kicks, but Briscoe turned him inside out again with a lariat before finally hitting a Jay Driller for the win.

Post-match, Briscoe took the mic and said they’re just getting started as he called out MJF. One time you bring up his brother’s name, shame on you, two times, shame on me for not obliterating his ass. Briscoe has never felt like this before, he needs help, he knows his brother is chilling in the mansion in heaven. If Briscoe kills MJF in cold blood and doesn’t repent, he’s worried he’ll never see his brother again, so MJF needs to make his day and get out there right now.

MJF’s music hit, but he never came out, he was on the big screen. MJF said he’s not an idiot and sensed Mascot Mark dropped the comedy routine, but it doesn’t mean MJF has to take him seriously. MJF has zero interest in a match, but now has to entertain it, since Seabiscuit told him he has to if he wants a shot at the AEW World Title. MJF talked to that mark Tony Khan and next week they’ll have their match, if Briscoe makes it. The video cuts and MJF is behind Briscoe, giving him a low blow before beating down Briscoe while wearing a MJF Did Nothing Wrong shirt. MJF told Hangman Page to watch, as he put on his Dynamite Diamond Ring, but Page’s music hit and he power walked to the ring. Page booted MJF, teased a Buckshot, but MJF spun back to Briscoe, who almost hit a Jay Driller, only MJF escaped and literally ran for his life up the ramp.

Match Result: Mark Briscoe defeated Ricochet

World title rematch with stipulation set for next AEW Dynamite

Image: AEW

A rematch from All In is set for next Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite as AEW World Champion Hangman Page will defend against Jon Moxley but with a new stipulation: everyone is banned from ringside.

The match was made at the close of Wednesday’s show after Mark Briscoe’s win over Claudio Castagnoli in the night’s main event. Moxley, Marina Shafir and Wheeler Yuta joined Castagnoli in attacking Briscoe when Page, who earlier defeated and bloodied up Yuta, came out.

Page and Moxley then came face-to-face and Page said he will prove it to Moxley that he can be the person he doesn’t think he is. He then offered up the title opportunity and said since Moxley is the challenger, he will play by Page’s rules, hence everyone is banned from ringside.

Page defeated Moxley for the title at All In, ending his lengthy title run in a violent Texas Death Match that saw oodles of outside interference from Darby Allin, the Death Riders, Will Ospreay, the Young Bucks, and Swerve Strickland among others.

The bout is the first announced for next week’s show from Chicago. Briscoe vs. MJF appears to be likely based on an earlier promo Wednesday.

AEW Dynamite live results: Hangman Adam Page vs. Wheeler Yuta

The new AEW World Champion will be in action on tonight’s live Dynamite from Chicago.

In a non-title affair, AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page will face Wheeler Yuta of The Death Riders in a one-on-one contest on tonight’s episode.

Page defeated Yuta’s Death Riders comrade Jon Moxley for the World title at All In two weeks ago, but the rivalry between Page and the group has not cooled off since. A team captained by Page defeated a team captained by Moxley on last Wednesday’s Dynamite, then The Death Riders retaliated by attacking Page’s friend Colt Cabana as he sat in on commentary on last week’s AEW Collision episode.

A Women’s World title eliminator bout is also on tap for tonight’s show.

AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm will face Billie Starkz in a title eliminator bout. Starks in aligned with ROH Women’s World Champion Athena, who holds the right to challenge Storm for the AEW title by way of winning the women’s Casino Gauntlet match at All In.

**********

AEW Dynamite comes on the air with Excalibur telling us Breaking News, as a Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament is set to start this evening, culminating at Forbidden Door in London on August 24th. The only teams we know so far will be competing tonight, as FTR takes on JetSpeed.

Renee Paquette approached Hangman Adam Page backstage, asking why he took this match with Wheeler Yuta tonight, despite not being in the best condition after the past few weeks. Page brought up Death Riders attacking his friend Colt Cabana on Collision and wants revenge tonight. MJF walks in and tells Seabiscuit that he will beat Page for the AEW World Title not by using his contract he won at All In. Page said MJF is a child, façade and gutless coward, as he walks off for his match, as MJF looks back angrily.

AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page vs. Wheeler Yuta

Yuta attacked Page during his entrance and hit a dive before Page quickly gained control as the match officially begin, hitting his springboard lariat to the floor, chucking Yuta into the barricade. Back inside, Page lit Yuta up with chops and a Death Valley Driver for a near fall. Yuta raked the eyes, went to charge, but ran into a huge lariat and Buckshot to give Page the quick and dominating win.

Post match, Page grabbed the chain he used at All In to win the World Title and cracked Yuta with it, delivering punches in bunches, busting Yuta open in the process. Page faked like he was going to hang Yuta after wrapping the chain around his throat, but screamed to Yuta that no one is coming to save him. “He Deserves It” chants from the fans in the Aragon Ballroom, as Page slowly walked off with the chain and AEW Title in tow.

Match Result: Hangman Adam Page defeated Wheeler Yuta

-ROH Women’s Champion Athena is backstage with Billie Starkz, who rattles off her Overlord’s nicknames and said AEW stands for Athena Elite Wrestling. Starkz said she’s going to beat Toni Storm tonight, but Athena corrected her, saying she must take Storm out. Athena holds the pen with all the power and tonight, she could cash in on Storm if she so chooses.

FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler w/Stokely) vs. JetSpeed (Speedball Mike Bailey & Kevin Knight) in an AEW Tag Team Title Eliminator Quarterfinal

(An excellent TV tag match, as the crowd hated FTR & especially Stokely a whole lot and were fully behind JetSpeed. So, the end result only added heat from the fans, until Cope made an appearance and apparently bought the services of The Hurt Syndicate. While we have zero clue as of this writing the other teams in this tournament, I think it’s safe to assume an FTR vs. Hurt Syndicate title match come Forbidden Door is in the cards.)

Stokely came out on crutches, selling the Spear he took from Adam Copeland last week. FTR tried Shatter Machine on Bailey early, but Knight made the save and Bailey nearly got a school boy for two. Thrust Kick/German Suplex combo on Harwood, who still hasn’t taken his ring jacket off, as JetSpeed hit dueling dives, as Bailey came up limping in the process (we got multiple replays). Knife edge chops from Harwood back inside on Bailey, as Taz said it’s a good way to lose an areola and you could hear that chop in Champagne. Harwood wanted a piledriver on the floor, but Bailey hit a backdrop on both FTR members as Bailey leapt for a tag to Knight as things went to commercial.

Back from break, Knight fought off the Power-Plex, as Bailey laid out Wheeler with a top rope hurricanrana. Dueling missile dropkicks from JetSpeed led to a pendulum DDT by Knight on Harwood for two. Knight with a splash on Harwood, at the same time Bailey hit a springboard moonsault outside on Wheeler. Harwood responded with a Dragon Screw in the ropes, zoning in on the leg back inside. Harwood tried to get a fan to high five him, instead flipped them off before sinking in a Figure Four around the post. Problem was, Harwood left himself open for Bailey to light him up with kicks, until Wheeler took out Bailey’s bad leg. More Dragon Screws back inside to Knight as Harwood sank in the Sharpshooter, while Wheeler locked one in on Bailey ringside, but Knight got the ropes. First part of the Power-Plex connected, but Knight got his knees up for a diving Wheeler, allowing Bailey to hit a Shooting Star Press for two.

Things returned from the second break with Bailey hitting a wild corkscrew springboard moonsault right in front of the commentary table. Bailey rolled through a Shooting Star Press attempt back inside, but fired a punt kick to Harwood, followed by a standing Shooting Star Double Knees for a near fall. Machine gun kicks ramped up, as Knight made the tag to hit the Doomsday Elevated Dropkick, but Wheeler broke the count. Wheeler was backdropped clear over the ring attendant’s tables, as Bailey leapt over it onto Wheeler. Back inside, Knight tried the UFO Splash, but Harwood got the knees up, inside cradle, only for Knight to kick out at two. Harwood tried a bounce back powerbomb, but Knight got a roll-up for a near fall. Bailey tried to fly in with a hurricanrana, but Harwood was successful with a bounce back powerbomb. Knight & Harwood traded pin attempts, as Stokley held in his crutch for Harwood to hold on and steal the pin.

Post-match, Tony Schiavone reluctantly came into the ring for an interview about what Adam Copeland did last week. Stokely (who is getting booed out of the building) said Copeland belongs in prison and had no business putting his hands on him last week. Copeland is a loser, a horrible human being and cancer to AEW. Copeland’s music hit and he was going to come to the ring with a mic in hand, but Stokely told him to stop right there and cut his music.

Stokely said last week he made it clear; Copeland is not allowed to be in the vicinity of FTR. Copeland forgot, but said he made a business deal with some gentlemen whose business, is hurting people. The Hurt Syndicate come out and Copeland shook MVP’s hand as Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin hit the ring and the fight is on. Referees hit the ring soon after to try and separate the four, to little success. The Hurt Syndicate stand tall on the ramp, as Copeland tried to hit another Spear on Hathaway, who pulled a security guard in his way to take the bullet. Copeland stared down FTR from the ring, as they slowly retreated

Match Result: FTR defeated JetSpeed to advance when Harwood pinned Knight

-The Patriarchy are backstage saying at All In, they took a big risk, with Nick Wayne said last week, they verbally explained themselves, so on Collision, they’ll prove it physically. They will prove what they are capable of doing when they don’t have to answer to a Patriarch nor being Un-Caged.

**********

-Jon Moxley is backstage with Marina Shafir and said Hangman Page fought the fight of his life at All In, digging deep down to find something he never knew was there. Moxley said it was good, get up and do it again tomorrow and the next day. Moxley admits he lost, but no reason to be a bitch about it, so why avoid a rematch, as the credits don’t role, the cowboy won’t ride off into the sunset. Moxley asks a lot from the people around him, but even more of himself. A mistake was made, but it’s nothing that can’t be fixed. By the end of tonight, we will find out who the Hangman Page was who rode out of All In.

Will Ospreay Addresses His Health

Tony Schiavone introduced Ospreay to the ring and brought up All In and hit incredible tag team match, but also what the Death Riders did to him in the main event. Ospreay said Tony Khan had no idea he was showing up today, as he flew himself over from London and asked for 5 minutes. Ospreay said he’s been struggling with his neck for 10 months and said he never told medical, as he wanted to make sure AEW got over the finish line at All In. Ospreay made promises to Swerve Strickland, to the fans, he would do his part in bringing back the AEW World Championship and is proud to say it happened. Ospreay said what the Death Riders did to him at All In, he was rushed to the hospital and learned there’s herniated disks that went into his spinal column, but it is treatable. With therapy and treatment, fingers crossed, he should be back by Forbidden Door. Ospreay thanks Swerve Strickland for everything he’s done for him, as it was a honor fighting by his side. The moment he’s feeling healthy, it’s an eye for an eye in regards to the Death Riders. As Ospreay made his way up the ramp, Swerve Strickland met him with a hug.

-Video package of the new trio in the AEW Women’s Division of Thekla, Julia Hart & Skye Blue. It’s only a sin to resist, they aren’t friends or sisters, they have one bond and you’ll feel it’s effects. They have one goal, to infect the entire women’s division. The Hart Always Wins and the last thing you see will be us three.

Renee Paquette is backstage with Willow Nightingale, who said she’s spent so much time feuding with Death Riders & Kris Statlander, but there’s a lot of good going on in AEW, like a New AEW World Champion and lots of new girls on the roster, like Thekla. Nightingale said spidey can find her in the ring.

**********

-Renee Paquette is back in the locker room with The Hurt Syndicate, asking how that partnership with Cope came about? MJF walks in, demanding to know what is going on, as he could’ve used them earlier in his run in with Hangman Page and said it took him forever to get into The Hurt Syndicate and Cope can just walk in? MVP told him they’re in the business of hurting people.

MJF said that’s cute, but how about getting in the business of getting his damn title back? MVP asked Paquette to leave, as Lashley slammed MJF against the lockers by the throat saying they don’t owe him sh*t, as they are not his lackeys. Lashley gave a thumbs down, saying he doesn’t want him in the group and walks off, as Benjamin shakes his head and walks off with MVP, leaving MJF furious and alone.

AEW Women’s Champion Timeless Toni Storm vs. Billie Starkz in a Title Eliminator

(Very solid back and forth battle, as the few times we’ve gotten a chance to see Starkz on Dynamite, she’s delivered. I’d love her for her & Athena to be featured more on AEW TV and especially Dynamite if I’m being biased. The concept of Athena teasing cash-ins has been done by almost everyone, but it’ll be interesting to see how Storm can continue to dodge them, as this time she was lucky for the assist from Alex Windsor, as I wouldn’t be surprised if a tag match happens in the future.)

Athena was watching from the balcony, as her minion fired off forearms in bunches to start, looking to Athena for approval. The brief distraction allowed Storm to get a series of near falls before both traded side headlocks until a misdirection snap dropkick by Storm leading to a back breaker. The first monkey flip worked, but the second saw Starkz put on the brakes and get a few chops in before sweeping the leg on the apron and hitting a low Tope. Running senton on the spine, as Starkz stayed in control back inside heading into commercial.

Back from break, Mongolian Chops from Storm led to a Thesz Press got the crowd amped up for Storm’s comeback. Starkz threw an enzugiri, but ran into a huge sit-out choke bomb for two. Starkz avoided the TCM Chicken Wing, got a face buster and neckbreaker over the knee for a near fall of her own. Storm tried a backslide, but turned it into a Fisherman’s Suplex for two, but Starkz was up first to fire off a pump kick. Storm rolled through a Sugoi Driver attempt and connected with Sweet Cheek Music, looked for Storm Zero, but Starkz got a roll-up for two. Rebound enzugiri from Starkz, who wanted her Swanton Bomb, but Storm got the knees up and sank in the TCM Chicken Wing for the submission.

Post-match, Storm posed for the crowd, not realizing Starkz was behind her to clock her with the AEW Women’s Title. Starkz yelled to Athena to come to the ring to cash in her contract, as referee Aubrey got into it with Starkz, leading to Starkz tossing Aubrey from the ring. Athena came in and decked Storm with the contract case, hit a double knees against the steps before another case shot back inside. Starkz threw Aubrey into the ring and was about to sign the contract when Alex Windsor hit the ring and made the save. Windsor took out Athena with a headbutt and discus lariat to Starkz, as both the Overlord and her Minion retreated.

Match Result: Timeless Toni Storm defeated Billie Starkz

Swerve Strickland (w/Prince Nana) vs. Hechicero (w/Don Callis)

(I was curious when this match was announced earlier today how both would be kept looking strong, as neither should be taking losses, especially if Strickland is targeting the Unified Title and Hechicero the ROH Title. They got around it after a very good match, as having Callis on commentary only adds to Hechicero’s presentation, as he’s the perfect loud mouthed manager who thinks he’s speaking the right Spanish, but is completely off when doing so.)

Callis cut off Justin Roberts from introducing his client so that he can do it himself, saying Hechicero is the greatest luchador in the great country of Mexico. “Better than El Santo, Mil Mascaras & Bandido, Yo Soy Hechicero!” Excalibur then informed us Calls just said “I Am, Hechicero” as Taz was bummed Callis didn’t lose blood pressure in his head after that introduction. Callis joined commentary and called himself Bilingual Jones, which popped Taz. Callis said Hechicero is a killer who’s not worried about social media followers like Strickland is.

Hechicero picked the leg of Strickland and had a scramble, which led to an early stalemate. Strickland sank in an abdominal stretch, but Hechicero got a rope break. Chop battle led to a series of reversal until Hechicero hit the Mad Scientist Bomb before Strickland responded with a tilt a whirl back breaker and rolling suplex as things went to picture in picture.

Back from break, a slugfest ensued until Hechciero hit a step-up pump knee and slam for a one count, as Strickland popped right up, daring Hechicero to keep it up. Headbutt cracked Hechicero, as Strickland connected on his corner uppercut before hitting the Griddy and mocking Hechicero’s magician pose. High roundhouse kick connected, as Strickland went up top and hit a 450 Splash for two. Hechicero rolled through a suplex and popped up Strickland into a cross-arm breaker into a La Magistral (Callis called it a Magic Strall) for another near fall. Strickland kicked free and managed a rolling Flatliner, as he went up top again, but Lance Archer hit the ring with Josh Alexander to shove Strickland off the top rope, leading to the disqualification.

Brody King & Bandido hit the ring to make the save in the post-match, as they brawled to the back with Archer & Hechicero. Kazuchika Okada appeared and waffled Strickland with a chair from behind with a big smile on his face while Callis cackled. Okada wanted a Tombstone on the chair, but Strickland escaped and fired off an uppercut headbutt. Strickland wanted to Pillmanize Okada’s neck using a House Call, but Okada escaped just in time with Callis & Alexander.

Match Result: Swerve Strickland defeated Hechicero via disqualification

-Footage of Collision last weekend of Ricochet beating AR Fox and The Gates of Agony winning the $200,000 four-way tag match. Alicia Atout is then backstage with Ricochet and G.O.A. as Ricochet said maybe people are listening now. Ricochet they are taking their $200,000 and investing it in their futures. You will respect us or fear us, that’s not a request, that’s a demand. Ricochet did his cackle before being amazed at how good he looks.

MJF & Mark Briscoe Back & Forth

Coming to the ring with his World Title contract case in hand, MJF said he doesn’t need Bobby Lashley to get back his World Championship, he doesn’t need, Bob. As far as Hangman Page goes, he’s a hypocrite, as MJF will beat Page in the ring fair and square, as he doesn’t need the contract, that World Title will be back around his waist. (I should point out; there was zero mention of MJF being in Happy Gilmore 2 as Adam Sandler’s son. Feels like a big missed opportunity there to promote that.)

Mark Briscoe’s music hit and he walked out with mic in hand. Briscoe said much like MJF’s kosher pickle, he’ll keep this short. Briscoe said MJF stole that Casino Gauntlet win from him at All In, as he wants him in the ring next week in Chicago. MJF simply said, no, as he mocked Briscoe saying if he was supposed to win the Gauntlet, he would’ve but he always chokes when the pressure is on. MJF is a generational talent, the most complete pro wrestler in the world today and from the bottom of his heart, Briscoe sucks as does everyone from the M-M-Mid-West. MJF isn’t stupid, he knows everyone loves Mark Briscoe and knows why, Briscoe has a missing tooth, wonky eye, Southern accent that makes everyone warm and fuzzy. But not even Briscoe’s biggest fans think he’s a top guy or anywhere near MJF’s level. MJF said Briscoe is the circus clown they parade around for cheap laughs and pops. The fans don’t respect him and knew a guy from Delaware that the fans did appreciate, that guy would’ve been worth his time. How depressing it must be for Briscoe to wake up every morning looking his family and friends in the eye knowing they respected his brother Jay more. Briscoe hit the ring and MJF ran for his life before going to the back.

Claudio Castagnoli’s music hit and he had a visually impressive entrance as he rose up from the stairway of the Aragon Ballroom before walking through the crowd to the ring.

Claudio Castagnoli vs. Mark Briscoe

(Just a hard-hitting main event with both competitors beating the living crap out of one another, so, exactly what you’d expect in a match involving these two. Briscoe gets a main event victory on Dynamite and I’m glad they’re giving him wins, especially with his feud with MJF being far from over. The post-match sets the stage for yet another round with Page & Moxley, only thing different this time, it’s Moxley as challenger and fighting to win back his title.)

Stiff chop/uppercut battle right as the bell sounded, as Briscoe won the exchange briefly before Castagnoli responded with a boots in the corner. Briscoe blocked a corner charge, as they traded overhand chops on the apron until Briscoe went for the eyes and pulled Castagnoli to the floor. Castagnoli avoided the baseball slide, catching an incoming Briscoe with a Giant Swing into the barricade as things went to commercial.

(As Excalibur went over the card for Collision, he mentioned Colten Gunn injuring his leg last week during the 4-way tag match and they won’t be in the Tag Title Eliminator Tournament. You have to feel for Colten, as the Bang Bang Gang continue to be bitten big time by the injury bug over the last year.)

Back from break, both men were fighting on the top rope, as Briscoe hit a wildly loud chop, but as he dove off the top, Castagnoli met him with a huge uppercut. We then see Darby Allin slowly emerge in the crowd, momentarily distracting Castagnoli, as Briscoe took the chance to fire up. Enzugiri staggered Castagnoli, allowing a Briscoe Exploder for two. Castagnoli was booted outsider, where Briscoe followed with a somersault Tope and Cactus Elbow off the announce table. Running Blockbuster off the barricade by Briscoe, as Castagnoli rolled back inside, where Briscoe met him with a Froggy Bow for two. Briscoe wanted a Jay Driller, but Castagnoli backed him up in the corner, only for Briscoe to fire off an uppercut chop. Castagnoli raked the eyes and crotched Briscoe on the top before delivering an Avalanche Bodyslam for two. Anvil elbows led to a Neutralizer attempt, but Briscoe avoided, only ref Bryce stepped between the two, with Castagnoli getting an eye poke and charging uppercut for two. Neutralizer second attempt was countered into an inside cradle, as Briscoe got the flash pin.

Post-match, Marina Shafir hit the ring for a chop block, as Jon Moxley joined with Wheeler Yuta. Castagnoli slammed Briscoe midsection first on a set-up chair, as Moxley said Page isn’t World Champion yet, as they just want to make sure everyone isn’t getting too comfortable. Hangman Page power walked to the ring and said when Moxley said Page didn’t want Texas Death, they both know that wasn’t true. When Moxley said Page wouldn’t do it again and again, he might believe that, so Page will prove it to him. Next week, Hangman vs. Mox for the World Championship, but this time, Moxley is the challenger, so he’ll play by Page’s rules. Everyone but a referee banned from ringside. Page already knows Moxley’s answer is yes, so he’ll see you next week, dumbass. Page power walked back to the stage, as the graphic is shown, it’s official for next week.

Match Result: Mark Briscoe defeated Claudio Castagnoli

Hangman Page match set for AEW Dynamite

Image: JJ Williams

AEW World Champion Hangman Page will be in action on this Wednesday’s Shark Week edition of AEW Dynamite.

Announced during Saturday’s Collision, Page will take on Wheeler Yuta in non-title action. The two have been at odds for over two years and have wrestled each other twice in singles competition with Page taking home both.

The only other previously announced bout — AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm vs. Billie Starkz in a non-title match — now has a stipulation.

Athena was addressing the crowd Saturday and taunting Storm who then ran out and demanded they have their World title match right then and there. Athena declined but she reminded Storm of the Starkz match, Storm said if Starkz wins, she will also earn a title shot which Athena didn’t care for.

Storm is 3-0 against Starkz all-time.

Here’s the current lineup for this Wednesday in Chicago:

  • AEW World Champion Hangman Page vs. Wheeler Yuta (non-title)
  • AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm vs. Billie Starkz (non-title_

Hangman Page to open AEW Dynamite following World title victory

We’ll hear from Hagman Page this Wednesday.

It was announced on social media that the new AEW World Champion will open Wednesday’s show in Chicago. It will be his first appearance since defeating Jon Moxley at All In this past Saturday to win the AEW Championship for a second time.

“AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page will speak! We’ll see the @AEW World Title on tv for the first time in 2025! NEW World Champion Hangman Page will speak live to open Dynamite before the main event vs Death Riders TOMORROW!,” Tony Khan wrote on social media.

It has already been announced that Page will team with Powerhouse Hobbs and Mark Briscoe to take on his All In opponent Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta.

The only other segment announced for Dynamite is Toni Storm holding a victory speech following her win over Mercedes Mone last weekend.

AEW Dynamite lineup for Wednesday, July 16, 2025:

  • We’ll hear from Hangman Page
  • AEW World Champion Hangman Page, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Mark Briscoe vs. Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta
  • AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm to give a victory speech

Hangman Page to face Jon Moxley in AEW Dynamite trios match

Four days after headlining All In, Hangman Page and Jon Moxley will meet in the ring again.

A trios match with Page, Powerhouse Hobbs & Mark Briscoe facing the Death Riders (Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta) will take place this Wednesday on the All In fallout edition of AEW Dynamite. The match was announced by Tony Khan in a social media post this afternoon.

Page triumphed over Moxley in a Texas death match at All In, kicking off the second AEW World Championship reign of his career and freeing the title from the Death Riders. Moxley had kept the championship belt hidden away during his nine months as champion.

Following his title win, Page sent out a thank you to the AEW fans and indicated that he will speak on Dynamite this week.

“Thank you for everything,” Page wrote. “I dont have the words to do the feeling justice because i havent slept in four days but ill try to find them by wednesday.”

Wednesday’s Dynamite is being held at Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom in Chicago and marks the beginning of a six-show AEW residency at the venue. This is the first match announced for the episode.

AEW All In review: Hangman Page frees us from the Death Riders

After months of speculation and dread regarding whether AEW was going to send fans home happy at All In, the answer ended up being obvious: of course they did.

Hangman Page defeated Jon Moxley on Saturday to finish his story and finally take away the AEW World title from Jon Moxley and the Death Riders. After spending a year lost in his own hate and self-pity, he overcame everything to finally defeat Moxley, who since October has held the AEW World Championship hostage in a stuffy, stifling briefcase. It was a fantastic, bloody, and downright painful match that was booked perfectly, exactly what it needed to be.

Of course, there was copious amounts of interference. After Samoa Joe was injured earlier in the night, Will Ospreay also fell to the Death Riders, who interfered constantly throughout the match. The arrival of the Young Bucks also seemed to put a damper on things. But the returns of Bryan Danielson and Darby Allin helped even the odds once more. Swerve Strickland ended up being the deciding factor, helping Hangman by striking the Young Bucks with a chain and tossed it to our hero, who then used the chain he left in Swerve’s locker room on Collision to hang Moxley off the ropes, eventually earning the submission win.

Tony Khan thinks long term, very long term when it comes to storylines so sometimes it’s hard to see what the endgame is. The rise of the Death Riders and their rampage across AEW will be remembered as divisive, to say the least. While Moxley’s run as AEW World Champion can be credited for AEW’s upswing in 2025, the matches he defended the title in were a mixed bag, and the promos stopped being interesting a few weeks in. But in the end, after months of sour endings and fans wondering if he should piviot away, Khan stayed true to his vision and delivered the ending he wanted. And it can’t be labeled anything other than a success.

This was a grittier, bloodier version of Cody Rhodes’ WWE Championship win from last year. Some people will be upset about that comparison, but it’s true! It’s okay to copy ideas that work really well, and booking a long-term storyline leading to a cathartic-like win, as we witnessed Saturday, always works when everything comes together. With Page’s win, it does feel like a new era in AEW has begun, and while it’s not immediately clear what the future holds, it does look bright after a show like this.

I don’t think this was the best show of the year, as I thought Revolution was a tad better. And also, at six hours, yes this was a very long show. But the main event and its conclusion will likely be remembered by fans around voting time.

My other thoughts from the show:

  • The Trios titles opener was fine, but seemed like more of an angle to ensure there would be hijinks in the main event after Samoa Joe was taken out on a stretcher. And sure enough, it was. I kind of wish for the days where these titles seemed like a big deal, they’ve really fallen by the wayside. But don’t get me started on AEW and its titles.
  • MJF won the men’s Casino Gauntlet match, earning a future world title shot. I liked this mostly, it featured a ton of good workers like Konosuke Takeshita, Mistico, Mark Briscoe and Josh Alexander going at it and the mystery people coming in kept things going well. The finish pretty much means we’ll see the long-teased MJF and Hangman Page match, though if it’s like last year where people can cash in at any time, you know MJF’s going to use that to his advantage.
  • Dustin Rhodes won the TNT title in an impromptu four-way match to crown a new TNT Champion after Adam Cole gave an emotional speech questioning his career status after vacating the title earlier in the day. This was a solid match that was overshadowed by Cole’s emotional announcement, but people reacted to the surprise win for hometown hero Rhodes. This was all designed to give fans something to cheer for, and they did.
  • The Young Bucks are no longer EVPs, losing that status to Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland in what I thought was a fantastic match. It’s not just that The Young Bucks are one of the best tag teams ever, but Ospreay and Strickland gel very well as a tag team, their synchronicity are top notch. There were some sequences here that were just incredible. The Young Bucks losing is probably a way to keep them off TV for a while until they pop up once again later this year.
  • Athena ended up winning the Women’s Casino gauntlet match, giving herself a future chance at the AEW Women’s title. This was pretty good, everyone worked hard. Syuri from Stardom made her debut and looked great, as did Alex Windsor. Athena winning makes it seem like we’ll see a future match between her Toni Storm soon enough, which sounds good to me.
  • To nobody’s surprise, The Hurt Syndicate retained the tag team titles over JetSpeed and Christian Cage & Nick Wayne. This took place long into the show and no one really reacted to the work here as nobody thought the Hurt Syndicate, who had been booked like demigods in the weeks leading to this match save for this last week, was going to lose the titles here. They didn’t.
  • The match was also overshadowed by Nick Wayne turning on Christian Cage, which was a weird dynamic was it was Christian being mean to Wayne in the weeks leading to this match. Wayne, Kip Sabian, and FTR were about to take out Cage with the conchairto when Adam Copeland made his return, taking out everyone. He then helped Cage to his feet and told him to go…find himself. Deep. All Out is in Toronto so they will likely be buddies again by then, but this all seemed abrupt.
  • Mercedes Mone was not successful in winning the AEW Women’s Championship, as she sustained her first AEW loss to Toni Storm, who won with an avalanche storm zero. This was fantastic with a lot of great nearfalls and submission attempts toward the end. Between the entrances and the work, this felt like a big time main event. Don’t know where they go from here as I feel this is just the start of a series that could eventually see Mone win the title.
  • Kazuchika Okada emerged victorious over Kenny Omega in what I thought was his best match since arriving in AEW last year. The question coming in here is what kind of Okada were going to get — an Okada that works at a 5 or an Okada that works at 10? We got something closer to the latter, probably a 7. With that in mind, this was not as good as their matches from several years ago in NJPW as their bodies are battered, but this was still a great match. With Omega’s loss, he may be taking some time off as he continues on his road to recovery.

Hangman Page wins World title at AEW All In, Bryan Danielson & Darby Allin return

For the first time since May 2022, Hangman Page can call himself AEW World Champion.

Page defeated Jon Moxley in the main event of Saturday’s AEW All In to reclaim the title under Texas Death Match rules — an incredibly violent match which featured a slew of the main players in the story that began last October at WrestleDream.

The final stages began when Moxley called for a plastic bag to suffocate Page. A video from Darby Allin played, filmed atop Mount Everest where Allin said he was coming to take everything from Moxley. Bryan Danielson then ran into the ring with a Blue Panther mask on, revealed himself, and delivered a running knee to Wheeler Yuta, taking out he and Gabe Kidd. He then took out Claudio Castagnoli to boot as Allin descended from the top of the stadium.

Page then hit the Buckshot lariat on Moxley as he was distracted by Allin who then hit a Coffin Drop on the heels on the outside of the ring. As Danielson and Allin dispatched the Death Riders, Page then hit a Deadeye on Moxley on a table outside of the ring. Moxley nearly couldn’t answer the ten count and had to be assisted by Marina Shafir.

The Young Bucks then appeared, superkicked Page, and hit an EVP trigger. Moxley and Shafir brought out a bed of nails from the outside of the ring, hitting a curb stomp on it followed by a Paradigm Shift. Page was able to stand up at the count of nine and Moxley demanded Shafir grab the briefcase and leave. She then got handcuffed by a hidden Prince Nana and out came Swerve Strickland with a chain to take out the Bucks, assisting his old rival.

Strickland then tossed the chain, given to him by Page on Thursday’s Collision, back into the ring. Page then used it on Moxley, wrapping it around his neck. Page hit a Buckshot lariat on Moxley who landed on the bed of nails. Page then tossed Moxley over the top and hung him with the chain in a callback to their previous Texas Death Match. After struggling, Moxley tapped out to a thunderous ovation.

An emotional Page then got the key to the briefcase and revealed the World title belt that had been hidden since last October. Fireworks went off and an exhausted Page celebrated, closing a pay-per-view main card that began at 3 PM Eastern and finished six hours later.

***********

As expected, the blood began in the first few minutes when Page pulled out a fork and stabbed Moxley in the head repeatedly. That was followed by Page getting busted open when Moxley used barbed wire across his forehead. The violence continued throughout with more barbed wire usage, a bucket of broken bottles, as well as tables: both with barbed wire and without.

Chairs were also used as Moxley got powerbombed from the corner onto the top of two put back-to-back. Later, Moxley suplexed Page from the ring apron through two tables covered in barbed wire.

Shortly after, the first run-in happened when Yuta hit Page with a chair and then was taken out himself. Shafir, at ringside for the entire match, then jumped on Page’s back only to get driven through a ringside table with a death valley driver.

Castagnoli then ran into attack Page, joined by Yuta. That brought out Will Ospreay who was followed by Kidd. Kidd then piledrivered Ospreay on the floor and Castagnoli put his head through a chair, delivering a running stomp similar to what he did to Samoa Joe in the night’s opening match. Like Joe, Ospreay was then stretchered out.

It’s Page’s second win over Moxley in a Texas Death Match with the first coming at March 2023’s Revolution. Page is now 5-1 under the rules all-time.

The loss ends Moxley’s fourth World title run that began at WrestleDream when he defeated Danielson to end his full-time in-ring career.

Zero Hour

The WrestleAunts (Renee Paquette & RJ City), Jeff Jarrett & Paul Wight welcome us to Zero Hour to the sounds of Machinehead by Bush and run down today’s card. They have a chart No Time Limit, No DQ, No Match Stoppage of Blood, Pinfalls Don’t Matter, as the only way to win is when someone Submits or Unable to Answer the 10 Count.

Video of earlier in the week of Paquette on the road with Jon Moxley, as he said it’s the smartest decision Page has ever made to make sure his family won’t be ringside to see this main event. Paquette questions why it has gotten to such extremes and how Moxley continues to push boundaries as champion, starting with what he did to Bryan Danielson. Moxley said exactly, failure doesn’t exist, I just keep moving forward. So Page won 2 years ago, he thinks he can just move on? This is a war of attrition, is Page better than he was 2 years ago, have they been positive, stronger in character? Moxley doesn’t think so. Paquette said she has a F’n pit in her stomach about the match, while Moxley is at peace and has clarity. Page can’t do sh*t to him, the people in the arena in Hangman shirts, they are so sure he’ll pull this off. What in the last year makes you believe Page will win at All In and what leads anyone to believe Moxley will lose? Moxley has brought a cold reality to AEW and while Page has done nothing personal to Moxley himself, he just can’t stand the guy due to his relatability and how fans can see themselves in him, something Moxley can’t do. Page has everything in front of him, but just can’t see it. Being champion isn’t a luxury to enjoy, it’s a responsibility that people don’t understand. This was a fantastic video and a rare on screen interaction we get between a concerned Paquette & her husband.

Madison Rayne joined the panel to go over the Women’s Title Match. Wight said he’s going with Storm to win it and thinks Mone will have one less title after tonight, but none of Mone’s titles are on the line. RJ then talked to Kris Statlander earlier in the week about the Women’s Casino Gauntlet and she said out of all the women in AEW, she has the most experience in a Women’s Gauntlet, so that gives her the advantage. Statlander dodged a question about Willow Nightingale and told RJ it’s up for her to decide on the offer from Wheeler Yuta to join up with his crew and no one else. If Statlander if feeling petty, she could stick it to Mone or go the easy route and cash in her Gauntlet title shot on Storm. RJ brought up Statlander is now the Pro Wrestling Eve International Champion and she said she’s no longer looking for someone to hold her, as she now has something to hold. She’s been working harder than ever and is on top of her game.

Paquette informed us that Tony Khan has informed us Adam Cole is not medically cleared to compete tonight and it will now be a 4-way between Kyle Fletcher vs. Daniel Garcia vs. Dustin Rhodes vs. Sammy Guevara for the vacant TNT Title.

Clips of the fantastic piece by The Players’ Tribune on Mark Briscoe and his family was shown. This is go out of your way stuff to check out if for some reason you haven’t yet. Nigel McGuinnes joined the panel and talked about his history with The Briscoe Brothers. He also talked about the Men’s Casino Gauntlet and saw a few men in the back who will raise a few eyebrows if they make it to the match.

Excellent video package on Kenny Omega vs. Kazuchika Okada was shown and then the panel was joined by Josh Mathews who talked about The Young Bucks vs. Swerve Strickland & Will Ospreay, as he interviewed Strickland & Ospreay following Dynamite last week. Strickland asked how Ospreay is feeling about the stipulation he made for the match now? Ospreay said as confident he is that they’ll beat The Bucks, he said anything can happen in pro wrestling and if the worse happens, it’ll be his life’s mission to make it up to Strickland for costing him a title shot for a year. Strickland started laughing and said he wouldn’t be here if he didn’t believe in Ospreay & himself. Mathews asked if either have gratitude to The Young Bucks for getting them jobs in AEW? Both said they have respect for them and a huge footprint on AEW, but at the same time, The Bucks should respect the talent who show up week in and week out. Mathews said Ospreay & Strickland haven’t teamed much at all and asks if they feel like they can win on Saturday? Ospreay knows the game plan, it’s just a matter of putting it into action, they are The Franchise & The Feeling. Another excellent promo ahead of the PPV (aside from Mathews asking “do you think you’re going to win?” that was ridiculous).

Jeff Jarrett sat down with Hangman Adam Page earlier this week to talk the Texas Death Match. Page knows All In will be violent, buckets of blood, harm his health, but he’s grateful to have been part of this company since the beginning. Jarrett said out of all his opponents, he has a much respect for Page than any of them. Page asks if it was before or after he whipped him with a belt and they laughed, saying the respect grew after. Page said he knows this isn’t just a battle with Jon Moxley, it’s the rest of the Death Riders and admits it’ll take help, which he’s never been big on accepting. At the end of the night, it’ll be just Moxley & himself, but Page has been miserable for the last two years and his family could tell something was wrong. All In and winning the championship could prove to them that taking the right path can get you what you want.

Sons of Texas (Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara) & The Von Erichs (Ross & Marshall w/Kevin) vs. Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, Carlie Bravo, Shawn Dean & Lee Moriarty w/Anthony Ogogo & Trish Adora)

Guevara immediately hit his signature leap frog, dropkick, kip-up before Moriarty bailed and The Von Erichs picked apart Bravo with a double team. Dean ran distraction enough for Ross to eat a cheap shot and isolated. Dean hit a dive to wipe out Guevara & Marshall, Taylor got a head of steam around ringside to run over everyone like a freight train. Too much trash talk back inside allowed Ross to hit a huge bodyslam on Taylor as Ogogo stalked Kevin around ringside before Wyatt & Wayne Rhodes, the grandsons of Dusty, showed up as Ogogo retreated. Dustin made the tag and spiked Bravo with a Cross Rhodes, but Shane Taylor Promotions stopped the count as the match broke down. 4-way Iron Claw applied until Ogogo got in the ring, followed by Kevin Von Erich. This led to Kevin locking the Claw on Ogogo to the biggest pop of the match as STP were all collectively pinned simultaneously for the finish.

Match Result: Sons of Texas & The Von Erichs defeated Shane Taylor Promotions

Big Boom AJ (w/Big Justice & The Rizzler), Hologram, Kyle O’Reilly & Tomohiro Ishii vs. Lance Archer, Hechicero, Trent Beretta & Rocky Romero

(This had a little bit of everything, including AJ briefly working Hechicero and Beretta pie-facing a 12-year-old, to the biggest reaction of the match outside of The Rizzler doing his pose. I do suppose Hologram can thank the Costco Guy for helping keep his undefeated streak in tact. I can’t believe that’s a sentence I just typed.)

An amazing sign of Don Callis as a hot dog was shown in the crowd before the match, just wanted to acknowledge that. Nigel McGuinness on commentary said AJ his 15 minutes are up and can return the WCW 90s enhancement costume, which was a great line. Callis Family attacked at the bell, but The Costco Conglomeration turned the tides quickly with punches in the corner and is wild we saw AJ paired off with Hechicero during all of that. Belly to belly by AJ on Romero for two, as fast tags were made until Romero scurried away and we get a lucha sequence between Hologram & Hechicero. O’Reilly was tagged in and became distracted by Beretta, allowing Archer to hit locomotion corner splashes before tossing O’Reilly outside. Romero put the boots to O’Reilly in front of Big Justice (who is taller than Romer) & The Rizzler until Beretta pie-faced Justice down to a huge reaction from the crowd. AJ became furious ringside as O’Reilly remained isolated. Hologram managed a hot tag and despite an awkward looking head scissors on Hechicero, was able to get back on track with a Spanish Fly on Romero.

Ishii made the blind tag, as Hologram hit a dive on Hechicero, who landed rough by the commentary desk. Ishii wanted a brainbuster, but Archer was too big, slamming Ishii down. Archer wanted a brainbuster, but Ishii countered this time and managed to connect. AJ tagged in and ran wild until Archer started no selling, teased a chokeslam, AJ clotheslined him outside. Spinebuster on Beretta, Gorilla Press on Romero, who was tossed onto Archer outside. AJ wanted a PowerBoom on Beretta, but Hechicero broke it up with strikes and step-up boot. The match broke down until Hologram dove onto a pile as AJ was too busy doing BOOMs and ate a Beretta superkick. Beretta wanted a charging knee, but AJ caught him with a clothesline as Romero took the ref. Big Justice got in the ring and hit a Spear on Beretta, as AJ laid out Romero with a PowerBoom to win it.

Match Result: Big Boom AJ, Hologram, Kyle O’Reilly & Tomohiro Ishii defeated Lance Archer, Hechicero, Trent Beretta & Rocky Romero

FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood w/Stokely Hathaway) vs. The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd)

(This was a really fun tag match to end the kick off show, as I’d say I’d give the slight edge to their match on Collision last week as to which I enjoyed more, but it’s close. While I could see some wanting The Outrunners to win this, FTR are on a whole other level right now for this heel run and deserve to be in the Tag Title picture sometime soon. That said, I could see this match happening time and time again and I wouldn’t hate it. They work great together.)

McGuinness informs us Magnum & Floyd were trained by Verne Gagne and had to do 500 Hindu Squats every day. The Outrunners ran wild to start, causing FTR to take a powder to regroup with Hathaway. Wheeler returned to a huge back drop and flying head scissors by Magnum before Floyd tagged in for a back suplex and scramble for a pin attempt for two. Harwood attacked from behind, as FTR launched Floyd over the top outside, as he clutched his knee. Harwood put on a fans glasses and mocked him before picking apart Floyd’s left leg with a Figure Four. Floyd was able to battle back and make the tag to Magnum who ran wild with punches in bunches before sending Harwood head first into the post and clotheslining Wheeler to the floor. The numbers game became too much, as Harwood clobbered Magnum with a lariat.

Magnum managed to spin out of a sleeper into a back suplex for the double down, as Wheeler tried to stop Magnum with a slingshot dive, but crashed and burned. Harwood made the legal tag and almost Pounced Magnum from a failed diving tag attempt. Multiple missed elbows by Harwood, as Magnum tried a sunset flip for two, as he followed with a double DDT on FTR. Wheeler pulled Floyd to the outside before Magnum could make the tag, as FTR hit a Rocket Launcher for two.

Wheeler started getting in the refs face, causing Paul Turner to shove Wheeler to the floor, as Hathaway ran distraction, missing Magnum’s tag. Regardless, Magnum was able to dodge an attack and finally make the hot tag to Floyd, who was a house of fire and bulldog/clothesline combo. Son of a B*tch elbow connected on both FTR to a huge pop, but only managed two. Wheeler crotched Magnum, as Harwood nearly stole it with a school boy and tights. FTR wanted a Spike Piledriver, but Magnum sent Wheeler crashing outside, hit a cross body on Harwood, as Floyd rolled through with a jackknife for two. A Floyd hit a sunset flip on Harwood, Magnum tried one on Wheeler and didn’t get over enough, as it looked really rough, but both teams were up slugging it out. Floyd avoided Shatter Machine, as The Outrunners hit Total Recall, but Hathaway pulled out Magnum. The chase was on briefly between Hathaway & Floyd, but ended with Harwood getting a school boy, handful of tights, feet on the rope and assist from Wheeler & Hathaway to steal it.

Match Result: FTR defeated The Outrunners

AEW All In Texas

The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs & Katsuyori Shibata) vs. Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta & Gabe Kidd) for the AEW Trios Titles

(Excellent opener, with everyone involved getting a chance to shine. The involvement of Kidd gives him future matches with anyone coming out of this, as he looked especially great in this. Early on, commentary brought up injured “former member of The Opps” HOOK. While he returned briefly during Anarchy in the Arena, Joe seemed happy to see HOOK, but HOOK didn’t seem to reciprocate such expression. That’s the first time I’ve ever heard them mention any dissension or HOOK at all since Double or Nothing. The post-match attack is a solid way to write-off any potential help Hangman Page could’ve hoped for in the main event.)

Kidd was ready to fight the World before the bell even sounded, as The Opps hit the ring and the brawl was on. Joe & Yuta, Castagnoli & Hobbs fought outside, as Kidd & Shibata picked up from where they left off on Collision with a chop battle. Both men collapsed, but rose from the dead at the same time to ramp it back up before tagging Joe & Yuta, who got mercilessly chopped by everyone until finally hitting a dropkick on Shibata and made a tag to Castgnoli.

Shibata tagged Joe back in, but the trash talk from Kidd distracted Joe enough to be brought outside and have the boots put to him. Back inside, Joe continued to be worked over until Joe hit a running senton to the back of Castagnoli, sending him face first into the mat. Hobbs made the hot tag and ran wild with corner splashes until the straps were lowered, Kidd tried to attack from behind, but was mowed down as well. Castagnoli ate a spinebuster, but Yuta made the save. Kidd was sent outside, allowing Hobbs to turn back into a pop-up uppercut for two. Doomsday Device attempt was countered, as Hobbs hit a powerslam in mid-air on Yuta to a huge reaction. Locomotion corner splashes on Yuta led to a PK by Shibata for two.

Giant Swing on Hobbs outside into the barricade by Castagnoli, as back inside, Yuta skinned the cat low into a snap German on Shibata for two. Kidd tagged in just as Shibata hulked up, as he kicked out of a brainbuster at one. Headbutt collapsed Shibata, but an overhand chop led to Joe making the tag and slugfest with Kidd was on. Kidd wanted a bounce back lariat, but Joe countered into a snap powerslam. Fastball Special was cut off by Hobbs, as Kidd tackled him to the floor. Shibata punted Yuta with a boot in the corner, leading to Joe hitting the Muscle Buster to win it.

Post-match, Death Riders attacked The Opps, as Kidd hit a piledriver on Shibata, Castagnoli with a Neutralizer on Joe and Yuta wore out Hobbs with a chair ringside. Castagnoli then Pillmanized the neck of Joe with a chair before telling the doctor that Joe needs help as Death Riders left through the crowd. Joe, meanwhile, was carried out of the arena on a stretcher.

Match Result: The Opps defeated Death Riders to retain the AEW Trios Titles when Joe pinned Yuta

Men’s Casino Gauntlet

(I enjoyed this Gauntlet, there was some very noteworthy returns and moments sprinkled throughout, but comparing it to last year’s Gauntlet, I preferred that one more I’d say (with the exception of the winner). It felt like there was a lot of down time down the stretch, as I don’t know why we needed the Caster comedy at the end. Regardless, the winner was who many expected, which is a good thing, as having someone like MJF getting to call his shot is far more fitting than Christian Cage was last year. You get a lot more out of MJF being the winner here.)

Mark Briscoe & MJF started things off, as the bell sounded and immediately MJF scrambled for pin attempts until Briscoe shot a double leg to brawl. Briscoe floated over a back drop and hit a flying forearm, teased a Jay Driller until Ricochet was out a #3. We get a handshake between he & MJF, who put the boots to Briscoe until ROH Champion Bandido is #4 to a loud reaction. MJF shook Ricochet’s hand again, but poked him in the eyes and bailed, as Bandido hit a one arm press slam until MJF scurried in for a school boy for two. Briscoe hit a Cactus Elbow on Ricochet and Blockbuster off the apron on MJF, as MVP on commentary screams at him to get off his back. Konosuke Takeshita is #5, as he flew in with a clothesline on Briscoe, as Ricochet hit a wall walk, but turned right into a Blue Thunder Bomb for two. Bandido & Takeshita faced-off 24 hours after their excellent match at Supercard of Honor, as Bandido hit a Helluva Kick and Poison Rana. Bandido tried a leap frog on MJF, who countered into a powerbomb on the knee for two. MJF teased unmasking Bandido until Mistico was #6 and we had a face-off while Me Muero continued to play. MVP yelled for not to wait around for this bullsh*t, as we got the chorus of Mistico’s theme until he hit a handspring kick on MJF and Escalera on Takeshita before diving onto a pile outside. La Mistica was applied in the center of the ring, but Briscoe dove in to prevent a MJF tap out, as he applied a Fujiwara Armbar until Takeshita broke it up.

Josh Alexander was #7 allowing the Don Callis Family members a chance to wreck shop for a bit including a World Strongest Slam by Alexander on Bandido on the edge of the ring until Takeshita flew out with a somersault dive onto a pile. Anthony Bowens is #8 and immediately hit a float over DDT on Alexander & Fame Asser on MJF. Ricochet missed a roundhouse, as Bowens hit a spinning reverse Torture Rack slam. Bowens dropped Briscoe with a thrust kick and opted to pose before telling Takeshita & Alexander to Suck It, resulting in him getting his ass kicked as a result. A visually amazing Doomsday Power Drive Knee off the second by Alexander & Takeshita on Ricochet until Roderick Strong is #9, who sprinted and clocked MJF as he followed with backbreakers aplenty to everyone else. Brody King in at #10 immediately dishing out chops until Bandido just got enough of a pop-up dropkick with King. Black Hole Slam planted Ricochet, as King kicked out of a MJF school boy, tried to choke him off the apron, but MJF went to the eyes. Locomotion corner cannonballs from King, as Bandido went up top and hit a Frog Splash on Ricochet, who found himself alone after Takeshita & Alexander tackled King & Bandido outside.

The returning (and freshly shaven) Juice Robinson is #11 to a massive reaction, as he slapped the dome of Ricochet before lighting him up with jabs and spinning Full Nelson Slam. Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona show up and attacked Robinson, allowing Ricochet to hit a Shooting Star for two. Gates of Agony were about to hit Open the Gates when Austin & Colten Gunn returned, took them out on the ramp before laying out Ricochet with 3:10 to Yuma. The Gunns & Gates of Agony brawled to the back as Kota Ibushi is #12 and dropped everyone with kicks and got a few near falls until Beast Mortos was #13 and left Ibushi falling like a mannequin with a headbutt. Mortos continued to run wild until Strong tried to have a reunion with his former buddy, but was unsuccessful.

Mistico hit a top rope hurricanrana on Mortos for two until Ricochet flew in with an attempted Shooting Star, but didn’t get enough. Bandido hit X-Knee on Ricochet, lined him up for 21-Plex, but Takeshita cut him off and German Suplexed both Bandido & Ricochet. Strong in with a Tiger Driver for two, as Alexander cut it off with a Rack Bomb, but Briscoe flew in with a Froggy Bow. Bowens connected on his spinning corner DDT, as King met him with a sit-out Tombstone. Robinson in with a back suplex, but Mortos followed with a pop-up Samoan Drop. Ibushi waffled Mortos with a lariat and Kamigoye, as Strong was in with End of Heartache. MJF hit an Alabama Slam and jackknife pin attempt for two, but Strong responded with a Sick Kick

After a long delay between entrants, Max Caster is #14 doing his chant to a downed Bowens on the ramp. Caster didn’t even make it to the ring before Strong hit a jumping knee on the apron. Briscoe turned Strong inside out with a lariat and hit the Jay Driller before MJF ran in and threw Briscoe out of the ring to steal the pin on Strong. MJF held up the contract for his future AEW Title shot saying up next, he reclaims his Triple B.

Match Result: MJF won the Men’s Casino Gauntlet to earn an AEW World Title shot pinning Roderick Strong

-Stokely Hathaway said FTR is now done with The Outrunners and will be special Guest Commentators for the AEW Tag Team Title match and hopes everyone has a good time.

Adam Cole Relinquishes the TNT Title

A somber Adam Cole walked out ahead of the upcoming match and apologized for being unable to defend the title, as he’s going to be gone for a while. Cole said he doesn’t want to talk retirement, but if this indeed goodbye (Cole started breaking down) he felt like he owed it to the fans. Since he was 9 years old, all he’s ever wanted was to be a pro wrestler and their support has meant the world to him. From the highest moments and current lowest, he’ll love the fans forever. Cole said you’ll continue to watch AEW do PPV like no one else in the world and thanks the fans for making AE what it is and for changing his life, he’ll love them always. Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly join him for a hug, as fans are shown crying in the crowd before Cole does one last Adam Cole Bay-Bay pose. Cole kisses the TNT Title goodbye, as Excalibur said hopefully this isn’t goodbye and more see you later. This was incredibly emotional and health comes first, obviously, but I hope this isn’t it for Cole, as these last few years have been filled with injuries, he was just getting going with a solid run. Daniel Garcia was out with Matt Menard, as Garcia gave a long hug to Cole before making his entrance.

Kyle Fletcher vs. Daniel Garcia (w/Matt Menard) vs. Dustin Rhodes vs. Sammy Guevara for the vacant TNT Title

(This was a wide range of emotions for everyone involved, as the fans headed into the show thinking they’d get Cole vs. Fletcher, instead we had a potential retirement speech from Cole and were pretty quiet for a majority of this match. That was until the finish, which zero people aside from maybe Paul Wight, who picked Rhodes to win this on Zero Hour, saw coming. Everyone thought Fletcher was taking the gold here, but this was a fun pivot to give Rhodes a huge moment in front of the Texas fans, as you can have Fletcher win the title next and as soon as you’d like.)

Fletcher has new entrance music, as the Sons of Texas double teamed him in the early going. Fletcher pulled Rhodes to the outside, as Guevara & Garcia picked up the pace with pin attempts until both hit a double dropkick onto Fletcher. Guevara started posing to not much reaction, as Garcia did his dance, until Fletcher ran through both with a clothesline and decked Rhodes with a big boot. Garcia & Guevara took out Fletcher, fought each other on the apron until Guevara hit a Spanish Fly to the floor. Back inside, Guevara & Rhodes had Figure Fours on Garcia & Fletcher, who rolled through into double counters leading to both having a slap exchange. After a rope break, a slugfest ensued until Guevara low bridged Fletcher and hit a huge springboard moonsault. Back inside, Garcia cut Guevara off in the corner with a superplex, held on and hit another one, but as he went for a third, Fletcher cut him off, but ultimately Garcia hit a 2 for 1 superplex.

Garcia delivered corner punches, but Rhodes was up to hit multiple snap powerslams until a Destroyer & Cross Rhodes spiked Fletcher for two. Rhodes wanted Unnatural Kick on Fletcher, but Garcia & Guevara got their kicks in first before Rhodes capped it off. Garcia ducked a thrust kick and Guevara caught Rhodes, giving Garcia a chance to apply a Boston Crab. Guevara escaped into a Code Breaker and GTH, but Rhodes broke the count. The ROH Tag Champs start arguing until Garcia tries a schoolboy, but Guevara turns it into Three Amigos to again, zero reaction. Knees up by Garcia on the Frog Splash, as he sank in a Dragon Tamer.

Fletcher pulled Garcia to the floor and delivered an apron bomb and suplex on Guevara on the edge of the ring before cracking Rhodes with a multiple corner kicks. Fletcher wanted a brainbuster, but Guevara flew in with a Cutter, as Garcia was in with a snap piledriver. Garcia sank in the Dragon Tamer on Rhodes, who countered into an inside cradle and got the flash pin, shocking everyone. The fans were stunned and then realize what just happened and cheered loudly for Rhodes, who got a standing ovation from the commentary team. Aubrey Edwards presented Rhodes with the TNT Title, as Wyatt & Wayne Rhodes were out to celebrate with their uncle, as well as Ross & Marshall Von Erich. They hoisted Rhodes up on their shoulders and this turned into a hell of a moment.

Match Result: Dustin Rhodes defeated Kyle Fletcher, Daniel Garcia & Sammy Guevara to win the TNT Title

Will Ospreay & Swerve Strickland (w/Prince Nana) vs. The Young Bucks (Matthew & Nicholas Jackson)

(This was one hell of a tag match and the crowd were on fire, as they only grew louder and louder down the stretch. I was genuinely shocked by the result, as with this win, not only do The Bucks lose their EVP status, Ospreay & Strickland can still challenge for the World Title. This was an AEW Match of the Year candidate on a show where I’m sure we’re going to have one or two more by nights end.)

Assassins Creed entrance for Ospreay, who sprung up from under the stage. Jojo Offerman sang Ain’t Nobody by Chaka Khan, the music Swerve Strickland used as an entrance early in his career, before Strickland came out with Nana to his usual theme. The Bucks made their standard entrance initially, until they went to the back and were driven out and raised up on a wooden ship as Justin Roberts read a speech from The Founding Fathers as fife music played. Excalibur said while Washington crossed the Delaware, this was The Jacksons crossing the first baseline, which popped all of commentary, this entrance took forever, but that line made it all worth it.

Fast start by The Bucks, as Nicholas did some Lucha Libre until a double Northern Lights from Matthew led to The Bucks hitting their pose, forcing Ospreay & Strickland to regroup and get on the same page. They do just that as a thrust kick suplex combo connected before Ospreay launched off Strickland’s back with a Sky Twister Press for two. Wall walk enzugiri on Matthew, who superkicked out Ospreay’s leg while trying an Oscutter, as Nicholas flew in with a Senton and then another to the outside. The Bucks wanted a super TK Driver, but Strickland cut them off, flipped to the floor, landed on his feet, but ate a double superkick as a result. Ospreay was isolated until he tried a handspring, The Bucks dodged, wanted a superkick, Ospreay ducked and hit a hangspring Pele Kick leading to a Strickland hot tag. Diving uppercut into the Griddy before a powerbomb into the powerslam on Nicholas for two. Double hurricanranas sent the Bucks outside, where they were met with stereo slingshot dives.

Stereo Sky Twister Presses both inside and out of the ring connect, as Matthew saves his brother from eating a Storm Breaker/Swerve Stomp combo, leading to an assisted Sliced Bread on Ospreay before delivering the double stomp bounce back powerbomb and Escalera dive onto Strickland outside by Nicholas. Matthew started slapping Ospreay, firing him up in the process, as a slugfest ensued. Nicholas tried a Buckshot, Ospreay floated through, thrust kick, Strickland returned and everyone starts throwing a crazy series of superkicks before Matthew hit a Cazadora face buster, but Strickland & Ospreay no sold double Destroyers into stereo Hidden Blade & House Call as the crowd came unglued.

Ospreay & Strickland were both crotched in the corner, fought free and hit stereo Styles Clashes for dueling two counts. Storm Breaker/Swerve Stomp (could be the coolest looking combo ever) connected, but Nicholas just made the save. Nicholas tripped up Strickland before he could hit a House Call, as he slammed him into the steps before delivering a superkick to Nana. Roll-up on Ospreay by Matthew with feet on the ropes got a two count, as a mule kick from Matthew as Rick Knox didn’t see it. The Bucks followed with a TK Driver off the apron on Strickland before Nicholas hit Hidden Blade on Ospreay before More Bang for Your Buck got two. Ospreay kipped up out of an EVP Trigger, tried an Oscutter, but The Bucks blocked into an EVP Trigger, only for Strickland to just break the count. Ospreay tried Hidden Blade, but Matthew ducked and Ospreay hit Strickland, leading to a Poison Rana from Matthew and another EVP Trigger, but again, Ospreay kicked out. TK Driver connected once more, but Ospreay again didn’t quit.

Superkick Party ramped up on Ospreay, but Strickland crawled into the shot to protect his partner. Strickland took the bullets (similar to Ospreay taking the superkick with tacks a few weeks back), but blocked the EVP Trigger, allowing Ospreay to hit one Hidden Blade, as Strickland did a backslide into a Swerve Stomp/Tombstone for a close two. Strickland held off Nicholas as Ospreay hit Hidden Blade on Matthew, but Nicholas broke the count. Strickland hit a Swerve Stomp off the apron onto Nicholas, as back inside, Strickland & Ospreay hit stereo House Call & Hidden Blade on Matthew to win it.

Match Result: Will Ospreay & Swerve Strickland defeated The Young Bucks and now Matthew & Nicholas Jackson have lost their EVP Status

Women’s Casino Gauntlet

(I thought all the ladies involved in this wrestled super hard and they all showed up. I’m glad newcomers Alex Windsor & Syuri got an extended period to show what they’re capable of as a little appetizer for the future, which certainly looks bright for the loaded AEW Women’s Title. This was another case where the winner was the odds on favorite by many, as this not only finally places Athena into the Women’s Title picture, but hopefully on more AEW programming going forward. Her run in ROH has been amazing, but we need her on Dynamite & Collision more and this is a way to do it.)

Kris Statlander & Megan Bayne (w/Penelope Ford) are entrants #1 & #2 as Bayne almost immediately did the deal and hit a Falcon Arrow for a near fall. Statlander responded with an Angle Slam and swinging moonsault off the apron, but opted to pose for the crowd, allowing Bayne to recover and hit a Tope Suicida. Back inside, Statlander avoided Fate’s Decent and hit one of her own as Willow Nightingale is #3 to a huge ovation. Statlander offered a handshake, but Nightingale declined, opting to slug it out. Statlander missed an axe kick, allowing Nightingale to hit a low cross body and spinebuster, but Bayne broke up the Doctor Bomb. Statlander & Bayne hit a double chokeslam until Tay Melo (w/Anna Jay) is out at #4 and runs wild until she scarily counters Fate’s Decent into a Rings of Saturn, as Bayne spiked her own head into the mat it looked like. Ford saved her buddy as she went up top, but Jay distracted enough for Harley Cameron to slowly rise into the camera shot and sent Ford crashing outside. Double DDT by TayJay on Bayne, as Ford was chased to the back by Cameron & Jay. Thekla is #5 immediately hitting a head scissors on Nightingale and huge dive off the top onto Statlander & Bayne outside yelling “F You!” in the process, popping commentary. TayKO dropped Thekla, but Melo turned into a Pounce by Nightingale, who hit a Doctor Bomb on Thekla, only Statlander broke the counter. Doomsday Device by Statlander & Bayne onto Nightingale as everyone is down, leaving Julia Hart (w/Skye Blue) to come out at #6, who Excalibur calls Sisters of Sin.

Moonsault onto Bayne & Statlander by Hart, who does an Old School rope walk on Bayne, who was met with a running boot from Blue for good measure. Flying Octopus applied on Bayne, but Melo returned and spiked Hart with a Gotch Style Piledriver. Thekla hit the Spider Walk, but was distracted when Queen Aminata’s music hit at #8. The brawl was on, as both traded stiff headbutts and slaps before a swinging Fisherman’s neckbreaker connected for Aminata, who destroyed Thekla with Off with her Head. Hart & Blue attacked Nightingale as Blue hit Cheeky Nandos kick leading to stereo superplexes, leaving Hart & Thekla locked eyes doing the Tree of Woe pose. The new Interim ROH Women’s TV Champion Mina Shirakawa is #8 and cleans house before doing her dance until she was blindsided by Bayne & Statlander. Shirakawa locked Blue in a Figure Four and Blue taps, but she thought Blue was in the match, she wasn’t.

Athena hit the ring at #9 and completely wrecked shop on everyone in her way to a huge reaction. Tombstone spiked Aminata, but Nightingale broke the count. Thunder Rosa is #10 and picks up where she left off with Athena last night. Everyone starts doing head scissors on each other until the debuting Syuri is #11 and immediately shotgun dropkicks Rosa to the outside, leading to a stare down with Athena. Backstabber connects and Shirakawa comes in for a Stardom reunion before Syuri connects on multiple punt kicks. Alex Windsor (who is officially All Elite) is #12 and she slugs it out with Syuri before hitting a Blue Thunder Bomb. Both no sold German suplexes until Syuri hit a pump knee for two as literally every other woman broke it up.

12-way brawl in the ring is ramped up until double Scorpions from Hart & Thekla, while Aminata has Statlander trapped in Chocolate Kisses. Bayne explodes in with a dropkick on Aminata, but delivered a front face suplex on Statlander on the apron. Nightingale hit a DVD on Athena on the apron and Athena came super close to spiking her head in the process. Bayne wanted a dive, but Statlander cut her off and powerbombed her to the floor onto the pile. Back inside, Shirakawa hit a Sling Blade on Rosa out of the corner, followed with a corkscrew kick and spinning back fist. As Shirakawa went for a Figure Four, Athena flew in with the O-Face and won it. Huge ovation, as Athena held her Title contract high in the air.

Match Result: Athena won the Women’s Casino Gauntlet to earn an AEW Women’s Title shot pinning Mina Shirakawa

The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin w/MVP & MJF) vs. JetSpeed (Speedball Mike Bailey & Kevin Knight) vs. The Patriarchy (Christian Cage & Nick Wayne w/Mother Wayne & Kip Sabian) for the AEW World Tag Team Titles

(Lots of moving parts in this one, as I was surprised how much offense the challengers were able to get off, even in defeat. The finish firmly plants FTR into the Tag Team Title picture, eventually, as the post-match was the big story here. Not only is Cope back, but The Patriarchy have finally turned their backs on Cage and we’re finally in full gear with this story after such a long time it’s felt like.)

FTR & Stokely Hathaway join commentary as Westside Gunn & Smoke DZA rapped The Hurt Syndicate to the ring. The bell sounds and immediately Benjamin & Lashley (who you’d never know had his leg Con-Chair-To’d multiple times on Wednesday, zero limp, not taped up, nothing) destroyed everyone, even MJF getting in some cheap shots. JetSpeed started to battle back, as MJF & MVP have words with Sabian & Mother Wayne ringside. Back inside, JetSpeed keep up the offense on Nick, as FTR are insulted on commentary that JetSpeed steal their athletic offense. Lashley got his grips on Knight and rag dolled him to the floor, as Benjamin dropped Knight face first on the steps. Back inside, Cage & Nick keep Knight grounded, until he dodged a double clothesline with a dropkick, making a hot tag to Bailey.

Rapid fire kicks on Nick into an enzugiri before he continued to light up Nick with kicks into a running Shooting Star for two until Benjamin turned Bailey inside out with a lariat. Sabian tried to save Cage from an Ankle Lock an ate a pump knee for his troubles. Massive spinebuster by Lashley flattened Bailey, as Knight tried to save his partner, but Lashley mowed him down as well. Bailey was launched onto The Patriarchy outside via overhead German as The Hurt Syndicate stood tall.

Bodyslam after bodyslam delivered to Bailey by Benjamin, who missed a corner rising knee, but Cage came in and tried a Spear on Lashley, but was pressed high in the air. Bailey kicked out the legs, as Knight flew in with a rolling clothesline on Nick and backbreaker on Cage. Inside Cradle by Nick for two, as Benjamin made the blind tag, blocked a Bailey hurricanrana out of the corner initially, but Knight sprung up and finished the move for two. Stereo moonsault/springboard splashes on the outside/inside for a near fall, as Benjamin recovered and took Knight to Suplex City. Handspring Cutter on Knight by Nick, who followed with Wayne’s World onto the apron on Bailey. Cage flew in with a splash off the top on Knight, but MVP distracted the ref long enough to delay a pin.

Knight crawled to his corner, but didn’t realize that Lashley had disposed of Bailey, so Lashley made the tag and like he does, cleaned house. Nick was flattened with a Dominator, but Cage managed a reverse DDT, as Benjamin flew in with a spin kick. Knight sprung off the top with a clothesline, but Nick met him with a snap German. Bailey caught Nick on his shoulders on the apron, as Knight hit a huge standing dropkick, causing Nick to backflip onto Sabian & Benjamin, clipping his head on the apron in the process. JetSpeed hit stereo dives, as Lashley sent Cage into FTR, before pie-facing Harwood. Cage dodged a Spear, tried Killswitch, but Lashley sent Cage crashing into FTR on the apron, leading to a Lashley Spear for the win.

Post-match, FTR & Hathaway got in the ring, but Nick & Sabian stood in front of Cage who shoved them aside. After brief trash talk, Cage told them they were leaving, but Nick laid out Cage with a Killswitch. Mother Wayne is laughing in delight, slapping Cage, as Sabian got steel chairs, with FTR presenting them to Nick to do the honors, as he was about to put Cage out of his misery with a Con-Chair-To when the returning Adam Copeland’s music hit and he has Spike with him. Sabian ate a big boot and FTR planted with a double Spear before Nick bailed, leaving Sabian to nearly get Speared out of his shoes. FTR & Hathaway bail through the crowd, as Nick & Mother Wayne leave up the aisle. Cage is slowly realizing what is happening, as Cope tosses Spike aside and helps Cage up and says “Go Find Yourself” before leaving Cage to ponder his next move.

Match Result: The Hurt Syndicate defeated JetSpeed & The Patriarchy to retain the AEW Tag Team Titles when Lashley pinned Cage

Timeless Toni Storm (w/Luther) vs. TBS Champion Mercedes Mone for the AEW Women’s Title

(Absolutely incredible match and I certainly wouldn’t argue if anyone had this up there with one of the best women’s match in AEW history. I was blown away by both ladies performances and the crowd was with them from the opening bell. This was absolutely the right call IMO, as Storm gets the big W, but Mone retains all her titles and is forced to refocus and regroup. Both ladies knocked it out of the park on this one.)

The Texas Rangers Six Shooters dance squad accompany Mone to the stage, as she’s wearing a robe with the list of all the women she has defeated in AEW, so needless to say, it’s a big robe. An old timey film was shown before Storm’s entrance, where a single spotlight was on stage as she walked out with a cane like an old woman, but she tossed it aside, clicked her feet and made her entrance with Luther. Both ladies lockup and refuse to break, as they spill outside, climb the steps and back to the apron, as Mone held the ropes open, but Storm slid under the ropes, posing the process. Mone gets a Statement Maker briefly, but Storm escapes, spanking Mone, calling her a bad girl for early mind games. Misdirect dropkick from Storm, as Mone is forced to regroup, leaving Storm to do the CEO dance. Luther had Storm on his shoulders, allowing Storm to get a running start as she bealed Mone to the floor. Step-up knee sent Storm falling back into the arms of Luther, so Mone took them both out with a Meteora. Mone broke Luther’s glasses and posed with the AEW Women’s Title before Storm tackled her into the commentary table, as I think the title decked Taz, who was happy he was wearing a cup tonight.

Back inside, sunset bomb out of the corner and another into the opposing corner by Mone, who slid between the legs of Storm and delivered a powerbomb on the floor. Mone continued the onslaught in the ring with a release German and double knees for a near fall. Storm momentarily regained the advantage with a Sky High, but Mone sank in a cross-arm bar before snapping it back. Three Amigos connects, as Mone slowly went up top for a Frog Splash, but Storm got the knees up, hooked a Big Package for two. High stack German suplexes from Storm, as it was followed with Sweet Cheek Music and Storm Zero for a close near fall. TCM Chicken Wing slapped on, but Mone bit her way out. Both traded Tombstone attempts before Mone locked in an Ankle Lock, Storm rolled through and we get a forearm battle leading to both throwing dueling headbutts, causing a collapse and reset.

Mone got a close series of near falls before spiking Storm with Mone Maker for two, leaving Mone shocked. Mone pulled Storm up and kissed her before trying Mone Maker again, but Storm countered into a Toni Driver. Mone hooked a double wrist lock, but Storm powered up and broke free. Mone slammed her in the buckle, missed a Meteora, but Storm hit a snazzy over the back spinning Cutter for two. Both scramble until Mone got a backstabber into a Statement Maker variation, which Storm counters with a Bulldog Choke. Storm rolled through into three consecutive rolling Storm Zeros, but Mone kicked out. Storm wanted another Sweet Cheek Music, but Mone popped up into a small packaged for two, as she held the ropes right in front of Aubrey Edwards, but didn’t acknowledge it.

Mone quickly applied a STF, tried a cradle pin, Storm powered up, so Mone hit a backstabber, only for Storm to answer with desperation Sweet Cheek Music. Storm brought Mone up the ropes, returned the favor with a kiss of her own before we get an Avalanche Storm Zero to give Storm the win, handing Mone her first singles loss in AEW.

Match Result: Timeless Toni Storm defeated Mercedes Mone to retain the AEW Women’s Title

International Champion Kenny Omega (w/Kota Ibushi) vs. Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada (w/Don Callis) in a Winner Takes All Match for the AEW Unified Title

(Even after not having a match with one another since 2018, these two picked up where they left off. The finish and involvement of Callis makes me think this won’t be the last time these two will face each other in an AEW ring, as I hope I’m right, I’d welcome seeing it over and over again. They are currently at 2 wins Okada, 2 wins Omega and 1 draw, so it certainly makes sense. This almost felt like it was just about ready to hit yet another level when the finish came. Regardless, this was an excellent battle and chapter in the story of the greatest wrestlers of all time.)

Jim Ross joins commentary for the final two matches of the evening, as it’s great to see and hear him on the call after all he’s been through. Don Callis joins the crew, as Jim Ross puts over Okada as being one of the best in the world and having “it”. Omega had druids and Jason Charles Miller, the singer of his Take Flight theme, sing him to the ring, as he walked through a massive Omega symbol that was on fire. I know everyone loves Battle Cry, but this was as big of an entrance as you can get for Omega with this newer theme he uses for big matches. Bell sounded and the crowd exploded and are on their feet already.

Feeling out process early, as Omega teased Okada’s clean break in the ropes, but Okada booted him in the midsection. Omega answered with a Kotaro Krusher and slingshot cross body outside before back inside, missing a cross body, landing on his ribs. Omega tried You Can’t Escape, but hesitated after the first portion, allowing Okada to get the knees up during the moonsault. Huge flapjack and senton from Okada, who hit his dropkick in the corner, leaving Omega crashing outside. Okada rammed Omega into the barricade and took the referee, allowing Callis to get in some cheap shots before Okada went back to work, planting Omega with a DDT on the announce table, as Excalibur said it was on the unforgiving oak. Back inside, Omega scrambled for a submission, but Okada easily escaped and drove an elbow onto the midsection. Omega started waking up after each forearm thrown, ultimately hitting a snap hurricanrana that sent Okada outside. Omega ramped up for the Rise of the Terminator, connected and dove at Callis, who high tailed it quick. Missile dropkick right to the neck back inside, but Okada was out at two.

Okada dodged a corner charge and flattened Omega with a sit-out fireman’s carry slam before going up top, but was cut off. Both trade stiff shots until Omega hit an Avalanche Aoi Shoudou, the cross-leg fisherman’s suplex, for two. Okada dodged V-Trigger, into a German, but missed a Rainmaker. Fast sequence of counters led to Omega hitting the first Snap Dragon, but Okada connected on his dropkick before the reset. Okada really had to work for the bodyslam before going up top for the flightless elbow drop. Omega fought off a Tombstone, but Okada changed levels and turned it into a gut buster using his shoulder. Another flightless top rope elbow followed by a Rainmaker flip off pose. Omega blocked a head shot, so Okada hit a kitchen sink knee to the abdomen and short arm lariat with a big smile on his face. Omega threw a desperation knee of his own before delivering a massive powerbomb into multiple V-Triggers for near falls.

Flying corner V-Trigger connected as Omega brought Okada to the top rope for a scary Avalanche Dragon Suplex, planting Okada right on his face. Omega fired off another V-Trigger, teased One Winged Angel, which Okada countered into a spinning Tombstone. Discus lariat turned Omega inside out for a near fall. Omega was able to battle back with Croyt’s Wrath, but couldn’t make the cover initially. Rocky Romero showed up on the apron, as Kota Ibushi quickly dispatched of him. I believe Trent Beretta also got knocked to the floor by Omega, as Callis tried to run distraction, but failed, as Omega hit One Winged Angel, only Callis pulled out referee Bryce Remsberg and put the boots to him. Ibushi checked on Bryce, as Omega called for another official. Aubrey sprinted out from the back, as Omega hit another V-Trigger, but Okada escaped One Winged Angel into a Rainmaker for two. Both rose slowly trading forearms, as Okada went to the midsection, Omega hit a V-Trigger, Okada nailed the dropkick, but Omega ducked Rainmaker into an inside cradle, as Callis nearly dove into the ring to break it. Both men up at the same time, as Okada hit a tilt-a-whirl slam before hitting another Rainmaker flush to win it. Omega held the Unified Title high as he laughed at Omega who was helped to the back by Ibushi.

Match Result: Kazuchika Okada defeated Kenny Omega to win the AEW Unified Title

Jon Moxley (w/Marina Shafir) vs. Hangman Adam Page for the AEW World Title

(An absolute all timer of a main event, one you knew would be filled with blood, interference and returns. It delivered all of those in one of the most emotional main events in AEW history. I’m so happy they were able to stick the landing and give this massive show the finish it deserved. The callbacks to previous feuds, the returns of beloved babyfaces, the visual of Moxley fighting his hardest not to let the title go and finally to Page getting an assist from the unlikeliest (or likeliest) of allies, made this legit one of the best endings to a wrestling show ever.)

Page had a video prior to his entrance as whistler Molly Lewis and guitarist Thomas Stankiewicz played until Page’s theme kicked in and he power walked to the ring with pyro and massive ovation. Moxley was driven into the arena in a huge truck (redneck chariot as JR called it) by Claudio Castagnoli with Marina Shafir, Wheeler Yuta & Gabe Kidd in tow, but only Shafir accompanied Moxley to the ring. Forearm battle immediately, until Moxley flipped Page off, only pissing him off in the process. Moxley tried using a fork, but Page had one as well, as he trapped Moxley in a triangle and stabbed him repeatedly, causing Moxley to pour blood in a gnarly visual, as things were just ramped up to 100 real quick.

Page brought out a strand of barbed wire and Moxley got control of it, driving it into the face of Page before Shafir bit him in the forehead. Moxley grabbed a chair, but tossed it aside, opting for a barbed wire covered chair, which he slammed a now bloody Page on. Clubbing blows across the face, as Moxley licked his hand, which is pretty gross. Barbed wire chair placed in the corner, as Page battled back, missed a charge, grabbed the chair, but Moxley hit a big boot to the chair into Page’s face. Shafir helped Moxley set up a table ringside, as he dropped Page with a Cutter before asking Shafir to bring in a bucket of glass. Moxley stomped on the glass bottles and started stabbing Page in the head with it, looking for a piledriver, but pulled the legs out from Page and dragged him back first through the glass, then got his piledriver, but Page wouldn’t stay down. Both slapped the hell out of each other before a second piledriver put Page down longer this time as Shafir started throwing in multiple chairs, as Page was up at 8.

Moxley set up the chairs and brought Page to the corner, but Page started to battle back, looked for a superplex, but Moxley had a strand of barbed wire, raking it across the back. Page fell back to the chairs and turned them both back-to-back, Moxley didn’t realize and Page hit a powerbomb right on the edges, as Moxley found himself writhing in the crushed glass as well. Page wrapped his arm in barbed wire and hit multiple rolling elbows until Wheeler Yuta showed up with a chair shot to the back, but Page no sold and decked Yuta. Angels Wings to Moxley into the glass, as Page skinned the cat for a Buckshot, but Shafir piggy backed onto Page who hit a Death Valley Driver off the apron through the table, causing the crowd to explode.

Back inside, Page sent Moxley into the barbed wire chair in the corner and flattened him with Dead Eye into the glass, but Claudio Castagnoli hit the ring to attack and set up another table ringside with Yuta. Will Ospreay rushes out with a steel chair, as Gabe Kidd joins the fight as well, delivering a piledriver to Ospreay on the floor. They placed a chair around the neck of Ospreay and Castagnoli Pillmanized it with a massively bloodied Moxley looking on as Ospreay was loaded onto a stretcher. Moxley looked for a piledriver on the apron, Page teased a Dead Eye counter, but Moxley escaped into the rear naked choke before hitting a suplex off the apron through two barbed wire tables. Both crawl back into the ring and rise at the same time for a bloody forearm exchange until Moxley bit at the forehead and hit a lariat. Gotch Style Piledriver connected, as Moxley sank in the Bulldog Choke, releasing it as the ref put on the count. Page just barely broke the count at 9.999, as Moxley spiked him with a Death Rider through a chair, but again, Page just beat the count.

Castagnoli handed Yuta a plastic bag and he jumped in the ring about ready to put it on Page when footage of Darby Allin at the top of Mount Everest was shown on the big screen saying once he got down, he’ll take everything from Moxley. That distraction led to someone in a Blue Panther mask appearing and doing Yes Chants and Busiaku Knee to Yuta, as Bryan Danielson took the mask off and took out Kidd & Castagnoli on a double dive before firing off Yes Kicks. Just then, we see Darby Allin repelling in from the top of the building into the ring, as Allin stares Moxley down until Page flew in with a Buckshot, while Allin hit a Coffin Drop onto the Death Riders. Another Buckshot flattened Moxley, as Danielson & Allin fought the Death Riders out of the arena. Page brought Moxley to the apron where he hit Dead Eye off it through a table. Shafir reappeared and helped Moxley up at 9, as she flipped off Page, whose back was turned, allowing The Young Bucks to appear and hit superkicks and a BTE Trigger.

Moxley & Shafir threw a bed of nails into the ring, as Moxley hit just enough of a Curb Stomp and Paradigm Shift onto the bed. Page somehow beat the count, as Moxley demanded the key around Shafir’s neck as she went to grab the briefcase from under the ring attendant table, but found herself handcuffed and Prince Nana was the culprit. Swerve Strickland appeared, laying out The Bucks with his hand wrapped in the chain Page left for him after their talk on Collision. Strickland tossed the chain to Page, as Moxley stumbled back in and Page wrapped the chain around the throat of Moxley, who was tossed over the top, but Moxley avoided being hung. Page managed a Buckshot, as Moxley collapsed back onto the bed of nails, leading to Page choking him with the chain and hung him off the apron. Moxley is in a massive panic and has no choice but to submit and the crowd absolutely loses their minds as a result, with Strickland giving a smile on the aisle.

Post-match, Page unlocked the briefcase that’s been held captive by Death Riders and we see it for the first time since WrestleDream last year. Huge pyro goes off with Justin Roberts introducing the new AEW World Champion. Page looked to the fans and told them this title is theirs, as Excalibur said Page can now breath a sigh of relief as they begin a new era of All Elite Wrestling as the show goes off the air.

Match Result: Hangman Adam Page defeated Jon Moxley to win the AEW World Title

It will be nice to (we hope) see the AEW World title again | Opinion

The following is opinion-based and reflects that of the author and not the website.

It has been 274 long days, but today, we finally get to see an old friend again after AEW All In: the AEW World title belt.

Trapped in an enhanced briefcase since last October’s WrestleDream, the symbol of everything that those in the company strive and compete for will see sunlight once again. It’s been basically four seasons worth of hiding for our old friend and we are now hours away from seeing it in all its glory.

That is definitely going to happen, right? There’s no way Hangman Page doesn’t come out of Arlington as your AEW World Champion for the second time and have the big moment with fireworks and the AEW good guys including Bryan Danielson and Darby Allin surrounding him, right?

(You nodding in approval.) Ok, good.

Because the opposite – Jon Moxley retaining the title – would be a really bad decision. No offense, Jon, but it’s time.

**********

I’m sure they are out there, but I don’t feel like there’s a big or vocal fan base for the Death Riders which perhaps was the idea to begin with. Being a heel in 2025 seems to be extremely hard for reasons I’ll write about another day, but Moxley and his crew have pulled off one aspect: no one seems to like them or like seeing them on TV.

At times, this fourth Moxley run has felt like, well, a lot. There was a little intrigue at first when he mentioned this whole movement was about something bigger which some took to wishcast Shane McMahon as the end all, be all behind it. That obviously didn’t happen and the group had a focus on, uh, something which has been disrupting matches and causing chaos just because. There seemed to be a focus on one point of them winning all the AEW titles, but that stopped and ended with the Trios titles. Why? Who knows. (Also, if Moxley hid the World title as a symbolic move, why didn’t they do the same when they won the Trios belts?)

The remnants of the Blackpool Combat Club weren’t exactly elevated along the way. Claudio Castagnoli feels he’s always going to be Claudio Castagnoli while Wheeler Yuta does have a great opportunity to cash the hated heel checks for a long time. I keep forgetting PAC is part of the group but getting hurt a lot will do that. Gabe Kidd is a convenient fly-in part of the gang when they need him to be.

And then, there is Marina Shafir who has played the Chyna role in beating up men with relative ease but for some reason, has had no storyline interest in wrestling for any titles and also for some reason, only one woman has seemed to have an issue with her in Willow Nightingale. This feels like a situation where Tony Khan isn’t quite sure what to do with her. She has wrestled just three times in AEW and another three times in ROH since Moxley won the title which feels like a missed opportunity if you wanted to make the group really dominant.

The Death Riders as we know them are coming to a long-awaited end. What comes next (a heel Daniel Garcia sending Moxley packing on a vacation?) could be fun, but it can’t be this anymore. It just can’t.

**********

That brings us to that hidden title belt – the idea of which I have despised since I realized it was going to be a thing after Moxley won it. One thing I am a firm believer in is that the World title is the most important thing to a combat sports promotion — the North Star for anyone competing because why wouldn’t it be? If you’re not ultimately gunning for the top title, what’s the point?

AEW has had past issues with their World title not feeling like the most important angle/match on their pay-per-views, something Tony Khan has wisely course corrected in the last six months or so. Regardless of what happens today (outside a combo of a Moxley win and Swerve Strickland & Will Ospreay losing), there’s a sensible mix of top contenders and stories to be told that can result in true World title PPV headlining matches.

But the only way that happens is with Page winning the title today and removing it from that god damn briefcase. As a wise man once said, cowboy up.

Texas Death Match rules added to AEW All In World title bout

Next Saturday’s AEW World title match between champion Jon Moxley and Hangman Page at AEW All In: Texas will now be a bit more violent than expected.

Made on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, the Moxley vs. Page title bout will now be a Texas Death Match, a rematch from more than two years ago.

Page opened the show by issuing the challenge to Moxley after the events of last Wednesday when Page was choked out by a chain amid a Death Riders attack. This week, he said to bring on The Elite and Death Riders or give him death: a Texas Death Match. Moxley came out and initially turned him down, challenging Page’s manhood and saying he was going to lose because he didn’t want to win.

Moxley said Page wouldn’t survive it and it wouldn’t be something he’d walk away from. The two then began to brawl before Page pulled out a fork. Wheeler Yuta, Marina Shafir and Claudio Castagnoli then attacked Page and left him laying. Page called out Castagnoli as a b*tch afterward for the attack and The Opps backed Page up as the Death Riders slinked away.

Shafir attempted to hit Page with a briefcase, but Page grabbed the case instead and told Moxley to give him the match as he had something he wanted. A fired up Moxley then agreed, followed by Page hitting the Buckshot lariat on Shafir as payback.

Among their extensive rivalry was a Texas Death Match at March 2023’s Revolution that Page won (seen above). Page is 4-1 all-time in his speciality match while Moxley is 1-2.
