After the promotion confirmed his impending return, EC3 confronted Eric Young on Saturday after Young spent time disrespecting Cleveland. He drove Young out of the ring and declared he was back, challenging Young to a match for this Thursday on Impact. He ended the promo by saying he was “from Cleveland, b****.”
In another return, KC Navarro interfered towards the end of the AJ Francis/Nic Nemeth match and distracted Francis, which allowed former Cleveland Browns player Bernie Kosar to hit Francis with a steel chair. Nemeth then scored the win over Francis after hitting the danger zone.
It was later confirmed that EC3 would face Young this Thursday, while Navarro would face Francis.
Lei Ying Lee failed to win the TNA Knockouts title at Sacrifice thanks to one person: her now former friend Xia Brookside. Lee had the match won with the Warrior’s Way, but was stunned when she found out that Brookside had put Arianna Grace’s foot on the rope. Brookside then dragged Lee out of the ring and attacked her, throwing the former champion into the ring steps. Grace then won the match with a knee to the back of the head.
On Friday, TNA posted a teaser video which featured several merchandise and ring gear items associated with the former two-time TNA World Champion, teasing him for Rebellion.
On Saturday morning, TNA Wrestling posted to social media that it is now confirmed that EC3 will be at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio for tonight’s pay-per-view.

EC3 announced in January that he was leaving the National Wrestling Alliance after four years with the promotion. He held the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship from August 27, 2023, to August 31, 2024.
In TNA Wrestling, EC3 is a two-time TNA World Champion. He left the promotion after receiving the pink slip in the 2018 Feast or Fired match, then signed with WWE, where he remained until his release in 2020.

BREAKING: You CAN'T MISS #TNARebellion THIS SATURDAY LIVE on PPV and TNA+!
Former NWA World Champion EC3 announced on Thursday that “my time with the NWA has come to an end.”
The 42-year-old took to X on the first day of 2026 to reveal the news without disclosing the reason they are parting ways. In a multi-image farewell, he reflected on his run as champion, specific events and matches that mattered to him, and that he helped “establish Exodus Pro as the NWA’s first territory.”
“I’m grateful for the opportunities I was given and the people I shared the work with,” he wrote, also hinting that he plans to continue in the ring without directly saying so.
The Ohio native debuted in Billy Corgan’s version of the promotion in August 2022 and made the promotion his home since then, wrestling his final official NWA match this past September. He held their World title for 370 days from August 2023 through August 2024, also holding the National title for 93 days in 2023.
He has spent time in WWE, Ring of Honor and also TNA where he was a two-time World Champion and Grand Champion nearly a decade ago.
Matt Cardona will have a chance to win back the NWA World Heavyweight Championship next month.
The 38-year-old has challenged champion EC3 to a death match at NWA Paranoia on January 13, 2024, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Cardona says in the video:
I’m going to keep this short and sweet. EC3, me and you, January 13, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, NWA Paranoia, I have an idea. We settle this once and for all in the middle of that ring.
Now listen, we have a lot in common, we are evenly matched, we both have chips on our shoulder, we’re both hungry, we both have something to prove. You’re the Over Man, I’m the Indie God. You’re something that I’m not, and I’m something that you’re not. You’re the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion but I am the death match king. So how about this? Me and you, Paranoia, NWA Worlds Heavyweight title on the line in a death match
EC3 later posted to his Instagram stories that he has accepted Cardona’s challenge. No other matches are confirmed for the show thus far.
The NWA will hold two shows on January 13. The other event, Viva Revolution, will be in collaboration with Coastal Championship Wrestling. Both shows are scheduled to take place at Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
NWA presented Samhain on Saturday night from Cleveland, Ohio.
Matt Cardona made his presence felt early in the show and attempted to get himself booked in the main event. He interfered in the Brady Pierce vs. Rush Freeman match, attacking both guys and then putting Freeman on top of Pierce for the pin.
Cardona then cut a promo about how he should be the NWA World Heavyweight Champion and then called out Billy Corgan for having stripped him of the title in the first place. Corgan came out and acted like he was going to add Cardona to the main event but then just told him to go to hell. Cardona went to attack Corgan but Kamille came out and speared him.
Cardona reappeared in the closing moments of the main event. It looked like he was going to attack Kamille but Latimer put himself in harm’s way to protect her. EC3 then hit a piledriver on Latimer and pinned him to retain the title.
After the match, Cardona confronted EC3 and made it clear he wants a shot at the title. After EC3 left the ring, Latimer attacked Cardona from behind and clotheslined him out of the ring.
EC3 closed out the show by sitting atop a throne on the stage and holding the 10 pounds of gold.
Other NWA Samhain notes:
The stipulation of the Ultimate Hardcore Team War match was that if Sal the Pal and Gaagz the Gimp’s team lost, which they did, Father James Mitchell will control their souls forever. Max the Impaler eliminated Sal and Gaagz last for their team.
The company announced that Hard Times 2024 will be the first PPV of the new year. A date and venue have not been announced.
Violent J pinned Vampiro in the Riddle Box match. He picked up the win for his team after delivering his own version of the Nail in the Coffin onto a bunch of tacks and various other debris that was scattered on the mat.
Despite being banned from ringside, Aron Stevens interfered in the tag title match, helping Blunt Force Trauma to retain. He was disguised as a knight and attacked Trevor Murdoch and Mike Knox.
The match was a “Round Tables” match, meaning you had to put your opponent through a round table and not one with any other shape. Several rectangle-shaped tables were used but did not result in the match ending.
Thom Latimer and Kamille were dressed as Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth during the main event.

Wrestling Observer Live with Mike Sempervive & Tom Lawlor returns with another installment of FILTHY FRIDAY to get you ready for another busy weekend around the world of professional wrestling. As per usual, with Bryan not here, things didn’t go exactly according to plan.
It started just fine, with NWA World champion EC3 joining the show to talk about his match this weekend against Thom Latimer at the NWA Samhain pay-per-view. But then, as the boys settled in to talk Saturday’s NJPW Strong Fighting Spirit Unleashed, they were rudely interrupted by Filthy’s opponent on Saturday – Bullet Club War Dogs’ Gabe Kidd.
The promotion put out a press release on Monday announcing the news. NWA World Heavyweight Champion EC3’s Exodus Pro promotion out of Cleveland was revealed as the first new NWA affiliate of the modern era. It will now be known as NWA Exodus Pro Midwest.
Today’s press release states the NWA will be looking to add more affiliates to its territory system both domestically and internationally.
NWA Press release:
NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE EMBARKS ON HISTORIC TERRITORY SYSTEM REVIVAL UNDER LEADERSHIP OF PRESIDENT WILLIAM PATRICK CORGAN
• The first affiliate territory for the Lightning One era is NWA Exodus Pro Midwest
• Territory is lead by NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion EC3
• More territories are being explored domestically and internationally
CLEVELAND, OH – In a move marking a pivotal moment in the history of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), President William Patrick Corgan has announced the revival of the promotion’s territorial system, a cherished tradition for the NWA, which harkens back to the roots of professional wrestling and the alliance’s formation 75 years ago. The move is aimed at fostering collaboration, unity and the development of future wrestling stars. The inaugural affiliate territory to join this initiative is NWA Exodus Pro Midwest, under the stewardship of none other than the NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion, EC3.
In a statement reflecting the essence of this moment, Billy Corgan remarked, “We are returning to the collaboration that defined the NWA, embracing a model that not only honors our rich history but also propels us into a future of young stars. This initial undertaking with NWA Exodus Pro, as well as all our affiliate promotions to come, will play a pivotal role in who appears on NWA television in the future, as well as affording those affiliate promotions consistent access to all the top NWA champions and superstars.”
NWA Exodus Pro Midwest, led by the illustrious NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion EC3, will see its Men’s Heavyweight Championship officially recognized by the NWA-a testament to the gravity of this new chapter in NWA history. This collaboration not only signifies a mutual partnership but also symbolizes a shared commitment to the growth and evolution of professional wrestling. EC3 expressed his excitement, stating, “I am honored to lead NWA Exodus Pro Midwest into this new chapter. I’ve long sought a way to create a platform of opportunity for up and coming talent to “tell their story.” With the WPC and the NWA, I have the right partner and wrestling’s most important legacy. To have the NWA’s brand, create shows, and cultivate talent, especially in the Midwest region, is something I’m incredibly passionate about. Together, we will pave the way for a future that respects the traditions of the past while pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Dare I say, we can “control the narrative.”
The inaugural celebration of this historic affiliation will be marked by “NWA Presents: Samhain” on October 28, 2023, hosted at Temple Live in Cleveland. Fans can secure their tickets and pay-per-view access by visiting NWATix.com and Fite.TV.
Up next for the promotion is NWA Samhain. The event will take place in EC3’s hometown of Cleveland, where he will be running the NWA Exodus Pro Midwest promotion. The lineup for the show is below.
NWA Samhain on October 28, 2023 lineup:
NWA World Women’s Tag Team Champions Pretty Empowered (Ella Envy & Kylie Paige) defend against Taylor Rising & Natalia Markova
NWA World Tag Team Championship Blunt Force Trauma (Damage & Carnage) w/Aron Stevens defend against Mike Knox & Trevor Murdoch in a Medieval Knights of The Round Tables Tables match
NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Colby Corino defends against Joe Alonzo
NWA World Women’s Champion Kenzie Paige defends against Ruthie Jay
NWA World Heavyweight Champion EC3 defends against Thom Latimer w/Kamille
The NWA World Heavyweight Champion EC3 will defend his title against Thom Latimer on the show.
EC3 called out Latimer on Tuesday’s edition of NWA Power, saying he didn’t want to waste time showing he’s the greatest champion ever. Latimer accepted EC3’s challenge and will vacate the NWA TV Championship in order to face him for the World title.
Kamille also confronted EC3 during the segment, saying he plays politics to get the opportunities he’s had, referencing his time in Dixie Carter-era TNA Wrestling.
NWA Samhain will take place from EC3’s hometown of Cleveland on Saturday, October 28. It will air as a pay-per-view on FITE.
EC3 became the 58th wrestler to ever win the NWA World Heavyweight title when he defeated Tyrus in a Bull Rope match at NWA 75. Tyrus’ reign with the title finished after 288 days and successful title defenses against Matt Cardona, Rolando Freeman, Daga, and Chris Adonis.
The NWA has announced a new pay-per-view for next month.
On Tuesday’s edition of NWA Power, the promotion revealed that NWA Samhain will take place on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from Cleveland, Ohio. A venue for the show has yet to be confirmed.
Tickets to the show are available beginning Friday at 12 p.m. Eastern time.
The new NWA World Heavyweight Champion, EC3, is from nearbyWilloughby, Ohio. He runs the Exodus Pro promotion out of Cleveland.
The name of the show comes from a Gaelic festival held on November 1 to mark the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter.
Father James Mitchell has been announced as hosting the show.
NWA Samhain will be the promotion’s sixth pay-per-view event of the year. The company is coming off its two-night 75th Anniversary Show on August 26 & 27 from the Chase Ballroom in St. Louis. Several new champions were crowned at the event. In addition to EC3 defeating Tyrus for the NWA World Heavyweight title, Pretty Empowered’s Kenzie Paige pulled off an upset over Kamille to win the NWA World Women’s Championship. Her stablemates defeated Madi Wrenkowski & Missa Kate for the NWA World Women’s Tag titles on night one as well. Colby Corino also won the NWA World Junior Heavyweight title by defeating Kerry Morton.
EC3 defeated Tyrus in the main event on night two of NWA’s 75th Anniversary show on Sunday in a bullrope match where Tyrus would be forced to retire if he lost.
Tyrus’s NWA Worlds title reign ends at 289 days, after he defeated Trevor Murdoch & Matt Cardona in a three-way to win the title at last November’s Hard Times 3 event.
In addition to the Worlds title switch, three other titles changed hands on Sunday’s NWA 75 show.
Kenzie Paige defeated Kamille in the semi-main event to win the NWA World Women’s Championship, ending Kamille’s 813-day reign with the title.
Paige’s Pretty Empowered stablemates Kylie Page & Ela Envy defeated M95’s Madi Wrenkowski & Missa Kate earlier in the evening to capture the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Championship in another title change.
On the NWA 75 pre-show, Talos & Daisy Kill defeated The Country Gentlemen’s Anthony Andrews & AJ Cazana to win the NWA United States Tag Team Championship. Talos & Kill won a tournament final on night one of NWA 75 to earn the title shot on Sunday.
The NWA World Heavyweight Champion is set to defend his belt on the show against EC3, who earned the title shot by cashing in the NWA National title.
Tyrus recently announced on Instagram Live that he wants their title clash to be a Bull Rope match. In order to entice EC3 to agree to the stipulation, Tyrus said that he’ll retire if he loses.
“I’ll make you an offer you cannot refuse,” Tyrus said. “I’m so passionate, I want this Bull Rope match, I want to be the bull in the woods, if you will, prove it at the Chase, at the 75, that I’m willing to put my career on the line as well. So, if EC3 wins the 12 pounds of gold against me in a Bull Rope match, not only will he be champion, I will retire.”
There's a long history of Bull Rope matches in the @nwa and that tradition continues at #NWA75! @PlanetTyrus vs @therealec3 in a BULL ROPE MATCH for the NWA World's Heavyweight Title.
If Tyrus loses, he will retire from the sport of wrestling.
NWA 75 takes place on August 26 & 27 at the Chase Ballroom in St. Louis, Missouri. The pay-per-view will be available on FITE TV.

JR Kratos vs. Odinson vs. Silas Mason w/Pollo Del Mar in a triple threat match for the vacant NWA National Heavyweight Championship
Homicide vs. Joe Alonzo
The Brothers of Funstruction (Yabo & Ruffo) w/Violent J vs. TBA
Additionally, NWA TV Champion Thom Latimer, NWA Women’s TV Champion Kenzie Paige, NWA Women’s Tag Champions M95, and Matt Cardona are expected to wrestle on the show.
Joe Galli introduced this week’s NWA Power from Studio One in Highland Park, IL. He and Tim Storm were on the call as Velvet Sky was feeling under the weather and won’t be back until August’s NWA 75.
The Brothers of Funstruction (Yabbo & Ruffo) defeated NWA Tag Team Champions La Rebelion (w/ Vampiro) in a non-title match
They all started in the ring at once and after a staredown, Yabbo started spraying the champions with his flower like any clown would. Neither man was phased though. La Rebelion dominated most of this match and worked over Ruffo for most of the match. Yabbo finally got the hot tag and took out Bestia and Mecha Wolf. The clowns kept fumbling into each other and almost kicked one another to give the champs the advantage back.
This is where Vampiro tried to get involved and close it out, but Ruffo tripped him from the outside and Yabbo rolled up Mecha Wolf for the surprise upset.
Ricky Morton (w/ Kerry Morton) defeated Koa Laxamana in a catchweight exhibition match
Laxamana started screaming and started talking about how much of an honor it was to be in the ring with a legend like Ricky. He then offered his lei to Morton to which Joe Galli commented, “I never thought I would see Ricky Morton get “lei’d.” Interesting.
A couple of hip tosses by the Hawaiian Hitman started the match, but Laxamana was quickly distracted by Kerry on the outside. That was a trend throughout this entire match as it set up a Canadian destroyer by Ricky for the very quick win.
– After the match, May Valentine was in the back with Colby Corino and Samantha Starr. She pointed out how important each competitor was to the NWA since they were both generational wrestlers. Starr also hyped up her match against Kenzie Paige next week for the NWA Women’s TV Title. Corino went on about the same thing and then hyped his no. 1 contender match next week for the Junior Heavyweight title.
Zyon (w/ Austin Idol) defeated Rolando Freeman
This was Zyon’s first Power appearance, but we did see him at the Crockett Cup when his manager Austin Idol turned on his son to side with Zyon. Zyon was towering over Freeman — even when Freeman was standing on the first rope.
Obviously, Zyon started throwing Freeman around like a rag doll. It was also a good technical performance as Zyon was locking in all kinds of holds and switching between until Freeman got the ropes. He even bodyslammed Freeman so hard that his bowtie flew off. Freeman fought back into it for a split second, but Zyon caught him with a few backbreakers and a sleeper hold for the win.
– DLZ was in the back and caught us up on Laxamana being upset and The Brothers of Funstruction wanting a title shot. He also hyped up next week’s Women’s TV title match.
– Valentine was with the Southern 6. She asked about what just happened with Ricky Morton and Laxamana, and they really didn’t answer it all. They just put each other over and said that he doesn’t have to.
Natalia Markova & Pretty Empowered (Roxy, Ella Envy and Kylie Paige) defeated NWA Women’s Champion Kamille, Ruthie Jay & and M95 (Madi and Missa Kate)
The heels were out first and they clearly did not want to team with Markova as Galli suggested they were being jealous of Markova getting the title shot at NWA 75.
Markova and Kamille started by pushing each other, but Envy tagged herself in. Kamille dominated Envy though as she got a two-count around one minute into the match. Each woman then took their turn getting their moves in. It ended with Roxy and Jay in the ring and Roxy hitting a Canadian destroyer for the surprise win.
– May Valentine was with the U.S. Tag Team Champions The Country Gentlemen. They hyped up the US Tag Team Challenge in a few weeks.
EC3 defeated “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason (w/ Pollo Del Mar) to retain the NWA National Heavyweight Title
Mason was locked in and came in with a full head of steam. He got the early offense in with chops and work in the corner. EC3 got to the point where he wanted to walk out on the match, but it ended up just being bait that Mason did not take. EC3 still turned it around with his own corner work. Both men were working dirty using the ropes and heel tactics behind the ref’s back. Mason went for a surprise Thrillride off the ropes but EC3 turned it into a One Percenter and actually hit two of them.
Mason kicked out, however, and EC3 went outside of the ring to grab his belt. Del Mar entered the ring and tried to stop him. Mason threw her out of the way violently and EC3 used the belt behind the ref’s back for the pin and three count.
After the match, EC3 was celebrating with the title but in an instant, he dropped the title and walked out. Apparently this was him relinquishing the title to get a NWA World title shot at Tyrus at NWA 75 which Galli noted was the main event.
The NWA World Heavyweight title match for NWA 75 is set.
After retaining the NWA National Championship on this week’s NWA Power against Thrillbilly Silas Mason, champion EC3 held the championship in the air, then dropped the belt on the floor. Announcer Joe Galli said that by doing this, EC3 had relinquished the championship, and that the main event of NWA 75 would be Tyrus defending the NWA World title against EC3. NWA 75 will take place at The Chase’s Khorassan Ballroom in St. Louis on August 26 and 27.
EC3 won the National title from Cyron back at NWA 312 on April 7.
Galli also confirmed earlier on NWA Power that Natalia Markova would be challenging Kamille for the NWA Women’s Championship at NWA 75. The two met earlier this year at NWA Crockett Cup back on June 4, with Kamille successfully defending the title.
Here is the updated lineup for NWA 75:
NWA World Heavyweight title: Tyrus defends against EC3
NWA Women’s title: Kamille defends against Natalia Markova
NWA Power started with Women’s Champion Kamille and Kyle Davis in the ring. After getting a great reaction, she asked the question, “Who can beat Kamille?” and thought the answer was nobody.
Daisy Kill and Talos then made their way down to the ring. Kill talked about Natalia Markova being the one to beat Kamille. Kill played a ukulele and attempted to sing, insulting her with the lyrics.
Kamille said Markova could have the match tonight if she wanted it. Kamille is over, folks. She is one of the few acts in NWA that is working very well and is treated like a superstar by the audience.
NWA National Champion EC3 defeated Carnage (w/ Aron Stevens) to retain the title
This was not good. No heat at all.
EC3 and Carnage are both heels, and EC3 walked out to virtually no reaction. His gimmick of being the “over man” is definitely not true. They started doing rest holds two minutes into the match, and the fans went mild. EC3 hit a jawbreaker, but ate a dropkick and then a powerslam for a two count.
EC3 hit a Thesz press and did an Ultimate Warrior-type rope shake which got a small reaction. Stevens tried to punch EC3 with a loaded glove, but EC3 ducked and Stevens punched the ring post. EC3 locked on The Purpose (a cobra clutch) for the win and not to be confused with the purpose that Odinson uses to hype himself up.
– Yabo The Clown was with May Valentine and he laughed about facing Ricky Morton next week. Valentine was disturbed as he blew up a balloon and busted it. He then booped her.
NWA Women’s Tag Team Champions M95 (Madi & Missa Kate) defeated The Hollywood Blondes (Ray Lyn & Heather Monroe) to retain the titles
This was fine. All four women are still green, but there is a lot of potential here.
Kate took down Lyn, but got taken over with a headscissors after trying to get in the face of Monroe. Monroe chopped Madi in the corner before the Blondes hit a leg sweep and a meteora. The spot was a bit slow, but I have seen far worse and usually with the NWA World Champion.
Monroe got a good hot tag, hitting cartwheel elbows, shoulder tackles, and a double stomp to Kate for a near fall.
Madi broke up the pinfall attempt and M95 went right back to being in control. M95 tried to hit a suplex, but Lyn broke it up. Monroe tried to fight off the champions, but Kate hit the Kick-fil-A and Madi hit a Reality Check (axe kick) for the pinfall.
– Speaking of the champion, Tyrus came out and was getting ready to announce his tag team partner for the Crockett Cup. He announced Chris Adonis because they would be an unstoppable team. These two squared off for the title at the recent 312 pay-per-view.
Adonis came out and said that he didn’t know what Tyrus was up to naming him him partner, but Adonis was busy and had a match right now.
Chris Adonis (w/ Tyrus) defeated Cyon (w/ Austin Idol)
Decent match. Adonis really is far better than Chris Masters ever was.
Cyon indicated to Tyrus he was upset that he wasn’t named as Tyrus’ partner since he and Tyrus are aligned in Idolmania Sports Management. Adonis went for a stalling suplex, but his knee gave out, leading to Cyon working over the knee for a little bit. The two exchanged chops in the corner before Cyon sent Adonis crashing into corner back-first. Cyon locked on the figure four on Adonis as Idol instructed Cyon on how to twist the knee.
Adonis rolled over and Tyrus curiously cheered Adonis on in the process as Cyon made the ropes. Cyon went for an elbow off the middle rope, and almost crashed into Adonis with his back instead of the elbow as Adonis rolled away. Adonis hit a Manhattan drop and a flying shoulder tackle. He called for the Master Lock, but Cyon blocked it and hit a slingblade. Idol shouted more instructions, but Cyon screamed, “Shut up! It’s your fault we lost the title.” He then turned into Adonis cradling him for the pinfall.
– Ricky Morton was backstage talking about his upcoming match with Yabo. He also talked about the conflict he was having with his son as of late.
NWA Women’s Champion Kamille vs. Natalia Markova went to a time limit draw in a non-title match
This was easily the best match on the show and potentially sets up further matches.
The two locked up and tried to outpower each other. Eventually, Kamille got the advantage over Markova. This led to the fans chanting for a test of strength and they obliged. Kamille had more power, but not by much. The two started exchanging forearms and Markova’s strikes started to show a big effect after a bit, leading to a Markova cutter for a nearfall.
Kamille drove Markova into the turnbuckle before hitting a series of punches in the corner. Kamille went for a spear in the corner, but Markova dodged and the champion flew through the ropes, hitting the ring post while in midair before crashing to the floor. That looked brutal. Markova also crashed to the floor after Kamille swept the legs on the apron. She then sent Markova into the ring post hard.
Markova hit a chop block on Kamille and locked on an arm submission, but Kamille survived it until the time limit expired.
Kamille is one of the only reasons to watch these shows and Markova is right there with her in terms of getting the crowd into her matches.
