A new National Heavyweight Champion was crowned at NWA 312 on Friday night.
EC3 defeated Cyon to win the title for the first time, making Cyon submit with a crossface. Cyon had held the championship for 224 days, defeating Jax Dane at NWA 74 back in August of last year.
Later in the show, Thrillbilly Silas won the Bob Luce Memorial Battle Royal. As a result, he will receive a future National championship match.
Kenzie Paige became the inaugural Women’s Television Champion, defeating Max the Impaler to become the first champion.
Other championship matches had Country Gentlemen defeat Jax Dane & Blake Troop to retain the NWA US Tag Team titles, Missa Kate and Madi Wrenkowskki defeat Pretty Empowered to retain the NWA Women’s Tag Team titles, Kerry Morton defeat Joe Alonzo to retain the NWA Junior Heavyweight title, and La Rebellion retained the NWA World Tag Team titles over Magnum Muscle (Dak Draper & Mims).
Kamille also successfully retained the NWA Women’s Championship against La Rosa Negra. In the main event, Tyrus defeated Chris Adonis to retain the NWA World Heavyweight title.
EC3 announced Saturday that he has signed with the NWA.
During the NWA Nuff Said pre-show, May Valentine did an interview with EC3 where he announced that he had signed with the company, and would be bringing Control Your Narrative with him. EC3 said in the interview that he would help people across the industry recover their passion.
EC3 is set to face Kevin Kiley, the former Alex Riley in WWE, later in the show.
First appearing for the NWA back in August of last year, EC3 has been involved in a feud with Thom Latimer, with EC3 attempting to get Latimer to join him in CYN. He most recently appeared on the live edition of NWA Power back on January 31, where his team (Team Tyrus) lost to Team Rock ‘n’ Roll in the Champion Series Final Team War match.
Since being released from WWE in 2020, EC3 has run vignettes and promos hyping his Control Your Narrative brand, including holding events and specialized matches. He’s also appeared in Impact Wrestling and Ring of Honor.
Several new matches have been announced for NWA Nuff Said.
The promotion revealed on Saturday that Kamille will defend her NWA World Women’s Championship against Angelina Love on the pay-per-view. Kerry Morton will defend his NWA Junior Heavyweight belt against Alex Taylor and EC3 will take on a debuting Alex Riley, who will wrestle under his real name of Kevin Kiley.
The 41-year-old Kiley returned to the ring in December for the first time since his release from WWE in 2016. He teamed with Tyrus on a Create a Pro event in Lynbrook, New York on December 8, 2022. He would later appear on Tyrus’ podcast and spoke about wanting to get back in the ring again soon.
On Sunday, the NWA also announced that Chris Adonis will face former NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Trevor Murdoch, Cyon will defend the National title against Homicide and Thom Latimer will face Fodder in a Singapore cane match.
NWA Nuff Said takes place Saturday, February 11, 2023, from the Egypt Shrine Center in Tampa, Florida. The lineup for the show is below.
NWA World Heavyweight Champion Tyrus defends against Matt Cardona
NWA World Women’s Champion Kamille defends against Angelina Love
NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion Kerry Morton w/ Ricky Morton defends against Alex Taylor w/ Danny Dealz
NWA National Heavyweight Champion Cyon w/ Austin Idol defends against Homicide
During last night’s episode of NWA Power, Thom Latimer challenged EC3 for the pay-per-view. EC3 accepted and the match was later made official.
Latimer and EC3 also faced off on the second night of NWA 74 on August 28. The match was ruled a no-contest, however, after members of Control Your Narrative interfered.
NWA Hard Times 3 takes place Saturday, November 12 from the Frederick J Sigur Civic Center in Chalmette, Louisiana. The only other match announced for the show thus far features NWA World Heavyweight Champion Trevor Murdoch defending his title against Matt Cardona and Tyrus in a triple threat match. The main event had originally just been Murdoch vs. Cardona, but Tyrus then announced he was cashing in his NWA Television Championship for a crack at the ten pounds of gold.
NWA Hard Times 3 announced lineup:

EC3 says he hopes Velveteen Dream “finds the help he needs” but also forgives him for allegedly setting up a recording device in the bathroom of his home.
On Wednesday, Patrick Clark (FKA Velveteen Dream) posted a video on Instagram denying EC3’s allegations that he filmed people in the bathroom without their consent at a house party in 2018. Clark alluded to drug use during the party as well.
EC3 issued a response to Clark’s video to PW Insider on Thursday.
“In life, I forgive everyone for everything that has been done to me.
I personally have never failed a drug test from any employer, nor been arrested for drug usage, paraphernalia, assault, battery, or any inappropriate behavior.
My forgiveness includes Patrick Clark for setting up a video recording device in the bathroom of my home.
As far as any other accusations and allegations against him, I hope that he finds the help he needs.”

During an interview with Sportskeeda earlier this month, EC3 detailed what happened at the party.
“We had a party and it was at my place, and [Clark] came over because I’m being friendly and I’m…top guy and I tried to welcome everybody into the thing. He left his phone in my bathroom with the camera on trying to capture people taking pisses,” EC3 said.
Clark then gave his side of the story on Instagram live.
“I left my phone on your bathroom counter and because you were not sure of my sexuality at the time because of the character I played on TV and because we are not friends in real life at all, you tried to accuse me of recording you in your home. So what did I do? I went to our mutual friend who no longer works for the WWE, a former NXT talent, and I showed him my phone and had him go through my photos and videos and my recently deleted just to prove to you and the other person who was there, who because I respect him and he has a job, I’m not going to put him there. I had him prove to you that I was not recording you.”
Patrick Clark (FKA Velveteen Dream) has responded to EC3’s allegations he filmed people in the bathroom at a house party.
During a recent interview with NBC Sports Boston, EC3 reiterated his previous claim that Clark set up a camera in his bathroom during a house party in 2018 for the purpose of filming people without their knowledge.
“We had a party and it was at my place, and he came over because I’m being friendly and I’m…top guy and I tried to welcome everybody into the thing. He left his phone in my bathroom with the camera on trying to capture people taking pisses,” EC3 said to Sportskeeda.
On Wednesday, Dream posted a video response to EC3’s allegations on Instagram.
“I’m trying to help my old man out on a computer and I just type in WWE, right? Tell me why, the first thing I see is EC3 has talked to the dirt sheets. I guess since I’m on TMZ now, I’m somebody again. EC3 has gone to the dirt sheets saying, if you haven’t seen it, he had a party at his house one night, and if I’m to be correct, this was about 2017/18, EC3? I’m not going to tell people who was at this party out of respect for our mutual friends but one of our mutual friends is a former NXT talent that no longer works for the WWE and the other person is a current Monday Night Raw talent who used to wrestle talent for NXT.”
“Mike, EC3, you go out here, after I gave you the best match you’ve ever had in your entire career… I’m tired of people throwing dirt on my name, you throw this dirt on my name saying I tried to record you in your bathroom. Let’s be honest, MIke, you’re leaving out a lot of details.”
“What type of powder was on the table, Mike? So, let’s not leave out all the details.”
“The other two people, our mutual friends were there. I left my phone on your bathroom counter and because you were not sure of my sexuality at the time because of the character I played on TV and because we are not friends in real life at all, you tried to accuse me of recording you in your home.
Nearly two weeks after bringing an accusation to light about Velveteen Dream setting up his phone to film people urinating in his bathroom, EC3 said in a new interview that people within WWE knew about the incident.
EC3 previously claimed to SportsKeeda that in 2018, Dream (Patrick Clark Jr.) set up a camera in EC3’s bathroom during a party so he could film people as they relieved themselves. He said he chose not to confront Dream but rather end the party early instead, saying he did later inform other talent that were there.
Talking on a different podcast, the former WWE wrestler then insinuated that even though the incident was known about in the company, Dream didn’t get disciplined because he was doing well at the time.
“It was known. Talent was involved. It’s a wild tale and a lot of people did know…even being part of it where I was kind of at the forefront of it because it was my home, taking it up the chain, being there, getting there. People sometimes don’t want the boat rocked from an office perspective. Sometimes, talent is doing well and drawing money. They’ll be protected,” he said.
He also accused Dream of “ruining” both his WWE run and his life following a concussion he suffered during their TakeOver match in August 2018, insinuating Dream acted in retaliation for the story initially getting out.
“The butterfly effect (of the incident), in theory, working with him later, being concussed. Was that purposeful? It kind of ruined my run and kind of ruined my life in a sense. It put me in a bad spot because of the issues with the concussions that stemmed from it. That’s not to put the blame on it, but that’s my story and it’s the truth,” he said.
After being released initially in 2013, EC3 re-signed with WWE in 2018 before being released against in the spring of 2020 as part of pandemic cuts. He has made appearances in Ring of Honor, NWA and Impact Wrestling in addition to starting his Control Your Narrative promotion.
Dream hasn’t worked in the business since being released by WWE in May 2021. He also hasn’t responded to these allegations.
Following last week’s news that former WWE NXT wrestler Velveteen Dream was arrested twice since mid-August, former 2018 rostermate EC3 made some accusations during an interview that involved filming male wrestlers’ genitalia in a bathroom.
In an interview with SportsKeeda seen below, EC3 accused Dream (Patrick Clark Jr.) of setting up a camera in his bathroom during a party so he could film people as they relieved themselves.
“We had a party and it was at my place, and he came over because I’m being friendly and I’m…top guy and I tried to welcome everybody into the thing. He left his phone in my bathroom with the camera on trying to capture people taking pisses,” he said.
When asked how he knew this was happening, EC3 said, “Because it’s my bathroom. When I walk in there and I see a phone selfie-style, propped up, on, filming, where if somebody is going to take a pee, they would have their phallus out urinating into the water.”
He said he didn’t confront Clark, but after seeing him go into the bathroom after he exited, he didn’t want to cause a scene and instead told everyone to leave because he was going to bed. He said he later told other people there so they were aware and one of those people was friends with Clark which caused further issues between the two.
Two journalists — David Bixenspan and Sean Ross Sapp — both acknowledged the story as being a long-standing rumor that no one could confirm.
The two worked against each other afterward at TakeOver Brooklyn 4 in August 2018 where EC3 said he professional and claimed he was concussed during the match.
The Control Your Narrative co-founder and former WWE, Ring of Honor and Impact wrestler will make his promotional debut at night one of NWA 74 on Saturday, August 27th in St. Louis, Missouri.
EC3 will take on Mims in singles action in what they are billing as a grudge match. It’s unknown what the grudge is based on as they have never wrestled and EC3 has yet to appear on NWA TV.
This will be Mims’ first match since unsuccessfully challenging TV Champion Tyrus at June’s Alwayz Ready.
Here’s the current PPV lineup for both nights from the Chase Ballroom:

Control Your Narrative has announced a 24-date tour.
Adam Scherr (FKA Braun Strowman) took to Instagram on Monday to announce the news. The tour will begin on October 13 in San Antonio, Texas, and conclude on December 11 in Des Moines, Iowa. The tour is being done with The Hello Group, an international entertainment company.
Scherr, Flip Gordon, Westin Blake, Austin Aries, Dirty Dango, and Killer Kross are scheduled to appear on the tour.
“With CYN, my mission is to create memories, characters and a platform that will last” said CYN co-creator EC3. “I have seen the highs and lows of the industry and determined to make CYN a platform where those following a dream have a place to create, grow and make a living.”
CYN events are currently available to stream on Pro Wrestling TV (PWTV).
“CYN is consistently the most asked about promotion on our network, with fans craving to see its fresh take on wrestling more regularly, “ PWTV President Brandon Blackburn said. “We are thrilled to give the fans what they want by taking CYN to this next phase of its evolution, which will not only star some of today’s biggest names but introduce the audience to tomorrow’s stars.”
CYN also has upcoming dates in Winston-Salem, NC on July 30 and Goldsboro, NC on July 31.
EC3’s Control Your Narrative promotion is partnering with a new streaming network.
It was announced today that Control Your Narrative has reached an “exclusive agreement” to make Pro Wrestling TV its television home. Pro Wrestling TV “will debut in April with a linear channel and on-demand streaming app, provided as a free ad-supported service to viewers worldwide.”
Control Your Narrative’s first live event is taking place in Orlando, Florida this Saturday. The promotion also has a show scheduled for Dallas, Texas on March 31, which is the Thursday of WrestleMania week.
“With PWTV, the way professional wrestling is consumed will change forever,” said EC3. “We are very excited to partner with PWTV to bring the stories, skills, and abilities of a distinct and driven group of talents to the wrestling world.”
Adam Scherr (formerly known as Braun Strowman in WWE) and EC3’s business partner Jedediah Koszewski are also co-founders of Control Your Narrative.
Control Your Narrative will be taking a seasonal television approach to its product on Pro Wrestling TV.
”In addition to continuing to produce full-length cinematic wrestling features, CYN and PWTV will bring a unique perspective of presenting and distributing wrestling to the fans in the form of a seasonal television approach. Each episode will build the stories of the wrestlers, their conflicts, and their journeys culminating each season with a live event special,” the promotion touted.
“While the traditional wrestling format will be represented, CYN’s television will be anything but the norm. In addition to its televised show and specials, CYN is planning a live tour to provide talent an opportunity to perform and fans to see them live.”
“The wrestling will be real. The stories will be real. We want to put the power back in the hands of the wrestlers and create a place they can make a living,” said Scherr.
EC3 was released by WWE in April 2020, while Scherr was released by the company in June of last year.
Prior to the launch of Control Your Narrative, EC3’s Free The Narrative produced two cinematic shows in 2021.
“Control Your Narrative will give professional wrestling fans something never seen before. From the presentation to how its stories are told, we are thrilled to give them a home to bring their brand to a worldwide audience,” said Pro Wrestling TV president Brandon Blackburn.
The new Control Your Narrative promotion co-founded by former WWE wrestlers EC3 and Adam Scherr (fka Braun Strowman) tweeted Thursday that a network TV deal is “imminent.”
From the tweet: “The one thing missing for CYN to ‘become who they are supposed to be’ was a proper platform and network distribution. That has been achieved.”

Additionally, Killer Kross will be on the March 31st event that will also include “a panel of nostalgic legends who will be making an announcement that can very well change the course of wrestling consumption forever.” That announcement might be the aforementioned TV deal.
Control Your Narrative: Awakening events will be held in Orlando, Florida and Dallas, Texas this March. The Orlando show will be held at The Tin Roof at Icon Park on Saturday, March 5, while the Dallas show is taking place at the Southside Music Hall at Gilley’s Dallas on Thursday, March 31.

Control Your Narrative (CYN) has found it’s ‘purpose’ and is proud to announce ‘Awakening: Live’, a series of live events featuring combative PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING action and the real stories of those who choose to fight.
Headlined by ‘The Titan’ Adam Scherr, ec3, the newly recruited Killer Kross, and other top names in the field of ‘sports and entertainment,’ ‘CYN Awakening: Live’ is a live event under the guise of a ‘traditional wrestling show’ that will be everything but ‘traditional.’
‘CYN Awakening: Live’ will offer an unique, interactive experience, where fans can not only meet and greet their favorite stars, but watch them do what these world class competitors do best.
Control Your Narrative will soon be announcing more names for the shows.
It was noted that Control Your Narrative is “completely independent of any wrestling promotion. Set to an original score, CYN blends professional wrestling, cinema, and harsh reality in what will become the true definition of ‘creative freedom’ for an industry that desperately needs it and any performer that truly seeks it.”
EC3 launched Free The Narrative following his release from WWE in March 2020. It produced two cinematic shows last year.
Scherr (formerly known as Braun Strowman) was released by WWE in June 2021. Kross (formerly known as Karrion Kross) was released in November 2021 and recently became a free agent.
Quinn McKay joined the show from the ROH studio and quickly ran down the card for tonight’s show, which includes two regular singles bouts — with one bout pitting Chelsea Green against Miranda Alize, and the other seeing EC3 take on Eli Isom. The opening contest, however, is a falls count anywhere match between Sledge and PCO.
Sledge defeated PCO in a Falls Count Anywhere match (14:59)
This was a fun, grueling way for PCO to end his ROH run.
Holidead joined commentary for this match.
Sledge jumped PCO from behind as the bell rang. PCO fell in the corner, which prompted Sledge to place a trash can on his head and perform a running kick to the head. The bout then spilled to the outside with the two giants slugging each other back and forth. Sledge slanted a ladder off the ring apron and back body dropped PCO onto it shortly before the first commercial break.
When the break returned, PCO positioned himself on the top rope and hit a frog splash for a two count. PCO, seemingly frustrated, returned to the top rope and attempted a PCO-sault, but was met with a pair of knees from Sledge.
Both guys rolled to the outside afterwards, with PCO taking control. PCO set up a table and clocked Sledge with a right forearm, which caused the “Metalhead Maniac” to fall right on the table. PCO took advantage of the situation and climbed to the top rope and performed an insane top rope senton onto Sledge.
After a short recovery period, both guys kept slugging it out around the barricaded areas. Sledge clocked PCO with a few chair shots before adjusting PCO into a sitting position on the barricade. Sledge then set up a chair, backed up, and ran full speed at his opponent — resulting in a float-over clothesline over the barricade.
The ending of the match came quickly when the two ended up on the stage. After a few moves here and there, Sledge hit an elevated DDT on PCO off the stage onto two tables and a barricade. Sledge then made the cover and scored the three count.
Miranda Alize defeated Chelsea Green (9:54)
Fun match, but Green came out of the match not looking good. The finish was rather baffling.
The Allure (Angelina Love & Mandy Leon) joined the commentary booth for this bout.
The match started out with some rhythmic sequence between both women, with neither woman getting the upper hand. Alize went to the outside and made Green chase her around the ring for a good sixty seconds, before baiting her back to the ring apron in order to hit a dropkick.
After a commercial break, Chelsea Green nailed Alize with a middle dropkick in the center of the ring. Green attempted a pin shortly after, but Alize kicked out at two. Green was firmly in the driver’s seat of the match, but the Allure ran down to ringside and distracted her as she had a single leg crab cinched in.
Green was easily distracted, which allowed Alize to attack her from behind. Alize called her shot and hit the drive-by knee strike shortly after — which scored her the win.
EC3 defeated Eli Isom (16:15)
A great main event showing here for both guys, especially Isom — who is one of my favorite babyfaces in wrestling.
Isom took EC3 to the mat immediately and locked in a head scissors, but was met with hard resistance, which broke the hold quickly. Both guys had their fair share of offense in the beginning stages, trading various types of submissions and working down certain body parts. The match turned to EC3 favor when Isom attempted a springboard clothesline, but was sent crashing to the mat after EC3 clipped the ropes.
EC3 continued his dominance on the outside after nailing Isom with a suplex on the arena floor. EC3 took way too much time in between moves as the two transitioned back in the ring, as Isom caught a second wind and began delivering a flurry of strikes. Isom delivered a sidewinder suplex shortly after, followed by a northern lights suplex.
Isom went to the top rope with all of the momentum in the world, allowing him to deliver a stunning crossbody to EC3 for another close near fall. Isom seemed like he was going to score a victory here, but EC3 snatched the control right back from Isom and delivered a double underhook facebuster out of nowhere. Shortly after, Isom submitted to EC3’s “The Promise” cross face submission.
Final Thoughts: From ROH’s standpoint, I’m not sure what the point of doing TV is at this point — but the wrestling was still very good.
Quinn McKay welcomed us to the show from the ROH studio and ran down the three match card for tonight’s show: Danhausen & PCO vs. The Briscoes, Jay Lethal vs. EC3, and a ROH World Women’s Championship match between Rok-C and Gia Scott.
The Briscoes defeated Danhausen and PCO (8:54)
Mark Briscoe distracted Danhausen as soon as the bell rang by grabbing Danhausen’s jar of teeth. Danhausen tried to argue with Mark, but was met with a right hand. Danhausen tagged out and instructed PCO to come in, which tempted Jay Briscoe to come in and exchange strikes with the big man.
When the break returned, Danhausen was being isolated by frequent tags from the Briscoe brothers. When Danhausen was able to make the hot tag, PCO malfunctioned and allowed the Briscoes to keep on the attack.
As the match went on, Danhausen came back in and poured the jar of teeth into Mark’s mouth before delivering a running kick — sending the teeth flying everywhere. When Danhausen tried to chokeslam Mark, PCO came in and helped complete the move. After the move, PCO malfunctioned again and the two partners got into a shoving match.
PCO was going to walk off to the back when Sledge appeared out of nowhere and the two began to fight into the ringside area. Danhausen was left without a partner, which resulted in a Jay-Driller on the pile of the teeth — allowing the Briscoes to pick up the win.
ROH Women’s World Champion Rok-C defeated Gia Scott in a title match (9:06)
Scott taunted Rok-C with the size difference early on as the two women exchanged shoulder tackles. Rok-C was dominated until she was able to string a series of moves that turned into a rolling pin that almost got her the three count. Rok-C tried to do a springboard arm-drag but lost her balance mid-move.
Scott continued her dominance, but began to lose control. Rok-C tried to apply a guillotine lock but Scott drove her right into the middle turnbuckle. Rok-C was unphased and tried to continue her onslaught of offense, but was bulldozed out of mid-air when attempting a standing moonsault.
In the final stages of the bout, Scott taunted Rok-C in the corner and was looking for a running maneuver. When she attempted it, Rok-C caught her with a knee to the face and followed it up with a cross face — which made Scott submit.
EC3 defeated Jay Lethal (15:11)
Lethal was overwhelmed by EC3 early on and rolled to the outside into the first commercial break.
Lethal looked like he had lost his confidence as he climbed back in the ring, but instead immediately turned on the jets and nailed EC3 with a dropkick. Although Lethal hit a few moves afterwards, he wasn’t able to sustain his momentum and EC3 took control shortly after.
After another short break, EC3 was still dominating Lethal after delivering a few chops in the corner. EC3 bent down on one knee and began “preaching” to Lethal — which lit a fire underneath “The Franchise” and gave him a second wind.
Both men went to the top rope and brawled before spilling the arena floor separately. After almost being counted out, both Lethal and EC3 rolled back in the ring and began to exchange strikes. Lethal hit a Lethal Combination, followed by a top-rope elbow drop. Lethal didn’t stop there and decided to attempt a Lethal Injection, but was ultimately stopped because his “I don’t like the Foundation” video was played on the video screen. EC3 used this as a distraction and locked in his signature “The Purpose” submission, causing Lethal to tap.
Next Week:
Taylor Rust vs. Chris Dickinson
Mandy Leon vs. Willow – ROH Women’s Title Number One Contender’s match
PJ Black vs. Bandido
Final Thoughts: This week’s episode of ROH TV was largely fine, but didn’t feature any standout matches or key storyline developments heading into the Final Battle pay-per-view that is only two weeks away.
