Cage helped Sydal to his feet after the match and they shook hands.

**********

Ricky Starks came to the stage after the match to cut a promo. He told Christian that he’s his own man, but he’ll be on the sidelines for a while.

Moxley attacked Bowens as soon as he stepped through the ropes. Moxley and Caster began as the legal men. Moxley used forearm strikes to beat Caster down in the corner. Kingston tagged in for an STO and a delayed vertical suplex.

Moxley and Kingston traded tags and continued working over Caster. Caster came back with a dragon screw off the middle rope to turn the tide before an ad break.

Kingston made a hot tag to Moxley after the break. Moxley hit a German suplex and a piledriver on Caster. He choked Bowens out with a sleeper on the apron. Bowens popped back up and cut Mox off on the top rope.

Caster hit a superplex. Bowens hit Moxley with a crossbody for a near fall with Kingston saving. Caster threw a chain to Bowens. The ref grabbed the chain. Caster went for a boom box shot on Kingston, but Moxley blocked and hit Caster with it.

Jericho told Malenko that he’d forgotten a few holds.

**********

Scorpio Sky & Ethan Page call out Darby Allin & Sting —

Tony Schiavone was in the ring to interview Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page.

MJF said The Pinnacle is always on top.

Cassidy tore up the document.

Callis had another copy of the document ready and left it with Cassidy to think over.

Sammy Guevara said everyone knows what his answer is. He said he’ll spray bubbly on The Pinnacle or hit a shooting star press off the balcony on to their necks.

Jake Hager said they would be bitches if they didn’t accept.

Jericho cut a serious promo. He asked if it was all worth it. Was it worth it to go through Blood & Guts, to dislocate his elbow, to scare his family and his kids, to fall off the cage.

Jericho said it was worth it when he thinks of the revenge he wants on MJF.

Jericho said they accept the challenge.

He said The Inner Circle is going to dance all over Pinnacle’s faces and piss on their graves.

**********

Jade Cargill promo —

Jade was backstage with Tony Schiavone. Tony put her over as the hottest free agent in AEW.

NWA World Women’s Championship: Serena Deeb defeated Red Velvet to retain the title

Velvet is still green, but she has improved tremendously this year. Deeb is always good and was good here.

Deeb showed aggression right away with a series of forearms. Velvet came back by going after Deeb’s left arm. Deeb hit an uppercut forearm and a dragon screw in the corner. Deeb was firmly in control before an ad break.

Deeb hit a chop block to Velvet’s left leg, then used the Serenity Lock. Velvet tapped out.

**********

PAC promo —

Alex Marvez was with PAC backstage.

He said he’s tired of missing opportunities in AEW. He said he’s got his World title match now and there’s nothing that Omega, Callis, The Young Bucks “or any of those elitist pricks” can do about it.

PAC asked what fool would bet against The Bastard at Double or Nothing.

AEW World Tag Team Championships: The Young Bucks (w/Brandon Cutler) defeated Varsity Blonds (w/Julia Hart) to retain the titles

This was much different than your standard Young Bucks match. They sold more at the outset and worked more as traditional heels with slower-paced offense.

Nick bounced around like a ping pong ball for Pillman and Garrison at the outset. Pillman got cut off and the Bucks went to work on his back. Pillman was worked over through an ad break. Pillman tried a crossbody, but Matt side-stepped. Lots of mugging for the camera by the Bucks.

Pillman hit a crossbody to Nick after the break. Garrison got a hot tag. Garrison ran wild with hip tosses, corner clotheslines, a double spear and a plancha. The Bucks blocked a super powerbomb attempt. Matt and Nick hammered Pillman with kicks to the back.

Pillman hit a superkick for a near fall on Nick. Matt blind-tagged in and used a sharpshooter on Pillman. Nick sprayed cold spray in Pillman’s eyes as Cutler took the referee. Matt sprayed cold spray in Hart’s eyes.

Pillman tried to break the sharpshooter, but Nick hit him with a facebuster as Matt maintained the hold. Pillman tapped out.

**********

Moxley and Kingston appeared in the ring and went after Matt and Nick. Moxley and Kingston used stereo sleeper holds. Moxley and Kingston removed the Bucks’ Dior shoes.

The Young Bucks will defend the AEW World Tag Team titles against Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian of SCU. If Daniels and Kazarian lose, they will disband as a team.

Darby Allin will defend the TNT Championship against Miro. Allin will have Sting in his corner.

Show Report —

Jon Moxley and Yuji Nagata were shown warming up backstage.

Moxley came out to “Wild Thing” by The Troggs.

IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship: Jon Moxley (c) (w/ Eddie Kingston) defeated Yuji Nagata (w/ Ren Narita)

This was, of course, Nagata’s AEW debut. He hadn’t appeared on TNT in 23 years.

They immediately exchanged forearms in the center of the ring. Nagata was forced into the corner but landed a knee lift and a boot, sending Moxley to the floor. Rocky Romero was shown in the crowd. Out on the floor, Moxley landed a diving knee and sent Nagata into the barricade.

Back in the ring, Moxley hit a soccer kick and an elbow drop for two. Former IWGP US Champion Lance Archer was shown in the crowd accompanied by Jake Roberts. Moxley hit mid kicks for another two count. He went to the top rope, but Nagata caught Moxley’s dive and laid in kicks to the midsection. He caught Moxley with an exploder suplex for a near fall.

Nagata used his misdirection drop kick to take Moxley off his feet. He laid in mid kicks of his own, but Moxley fired up as they exchanged more forearms. Moxley hit a German suplex and a running lariat for two. Nagata powered out of a piledriver attempt and perched Moxley on the top rope, hitting an avalanche exploder and a mid kick for a close two.

Moxley turned it around by applying a rear naked choke, but Nagata escaped into the Shirome armbar. We saw the whites of Nagata’s eyes, but Moxley was able to reach the ropes. They traded strikes, Nagata hit an enziguiri, but Moxley came back with a sliding lariat and went for the Bulldog Choke. Moxley was cut open under his eye.

Repeated knee strikes and the Paradigm Shift were enough for Moxley to pin Nagata and retain the title.

– After the match, both Moxley and Nagata bowed and showed respect to each other.

**********

Ortiz, Jake Hager, and Sammy Guevara were interviewed about Blood & Guts. Ortiz admitted the Pinnacle won, but MJF showed his true colors. He said Santana was “arrested and detained” for his use of a fork. Hager wants another match. Guevara said tonight’s “Pinnacle Coronation” would become a “funeral.”

Cody Rhodes’ Double or Nothing Announcement

This was baffling. “USA vs. the World” stuff just does not work in 2021.

Cody discussed some of the classic patriotic conventions about being “proud to be an American,” prompting a “U-S-A!” chant. He talked about Anthony Ogogo talking down on the United States, bringing up that Ogogo makes his money in America and is afforded the same rights as others. He said “You didn’t come here to live the ‘England’ Dream.”

He broght up that Bruno Sammartino was an Italian-American immigrant as well as that Shad Khan is an immigrant. He got emotional as he talked about how 60 years ago, America was segregated, but soon, his wife Brandi will give birth to a beautiful baby with both white and black identities.

Cody announced that Anthony Ogogo will be wrestling at Double or Nothing, but it won’t be the American Nightmare who faces him. It will be Ogogo vs. “The American Dream” Cody Rhodes.

**********

A video promo played where SCU talked about how they don’t like the Young Bucks’ attitude recently. All that’s left is for them to beat the Bucks up. They brought up their “break up when we lose” ultimatum, saying it’s put them at the top of their game. They’re willing to go far to get what they want.

Don Callis joined commentary for the match. The Bucks were accompanied by the Good Brothers.

AEW World Tag Team Championship: Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) (c) defeated SCU (Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian)

If SCU loses, they must never team again.

The match was heated from the start as Kazarian and Nick exchanged slaps. Nick tried to bait Kazarian into an attack, but Kazarian didn’t fall for it as he and Daniels worked together to dispatch the Bucks with double teams. A leg drop from Kazarian got two. SCU was firmly in control, beating down Nick, until Matt illegally backdropped Daniels to the floor, allowing the Bucks to take out Kazarian.

Matt powerbombed Daniels into the apron and Nick landed a flipping senton into the break. During commercial, SCU regained control, and once back, Daniels and Kazarian worked together on a powerbomb neckbreaker combination for two. SCU hit Celebrity Rehab on Nick, but a distraction from Matt allowed Nick to come back with rising knees and a bulldog on Kazarian. A slingshot X-Factor allowed the Bucks to take advantage.

Out on the floor, Nick superkicked Daniels into the ring post, and Daniels had been busted open badly. He was gushing blood everywhere. As Nick taunted him, Kazarian slingshotted Nick back in the ring with a cutter for two. The Bucks realized Daniels was hurt, hitting a buckle bomb, but Kazarian fought out of More Bang For Your Buck and applied a double pin on both Bucks after a Northern Lights suplex for a cloe two.

Kazarian rolled up Matt for a visual pinfall, but Doc Gallows had the official distracted. Kazarian hit a Styles Clash on Matt, but Nick dove into the ring to break up the pin. He tried to maintain control, but Matt took him out with a superkick and a knee strike until Daniels broke up the pinfall. Daniels hit the Angel’s Wings and tagged himself in, but Matt immediately cut him off with a spear.

Daniels avoided a superkick, but Matt powered out of the Angel’s Wings. Matt mocked the “I’m sorry, I love you” HBK/Flair moment and crushed Daniels with a superkick, but Daniels kicked out of the pin attempt. Daniels hit a uranage and attempted the BME, but stumbled. On the second attempt, he hit the BME, but Nick broke up the pin.

The Good Brothers were dispatched by Daniels, but with the official distracted, Matt sprayed cold spray and smacked Daniels with the can for a great near fall. Nick tagged in and hit the BTE Trigger. Kazarian tried to break up the pin, but was too late.

The camera cut backstage, where Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston were destroying The Elite’s dressing room.

**********

Christian Cage was interviewed about Taz. Christian said Taz was a bad man at one point in time, but now, Taz won’t step up to the ring. Next week, Christian has an open challenge to any Team Taz member. He also announced he’s in the Casino Battle Royale, but was interrupted by Sydal, who wants to win. Sydal said that instead of Team Taz, it was him who signed the open challenge for next week.

AEW World Championship Eliminator: Orange Cassidy (w/ Best Friends) vs. PAC (w/ Lucha Bros.) went to a no contest

The winner of this match will face Kenny Omega in the main event at Double or Nothing. Cassidy is ranked #1, PAC is #2.

Cassidy put his shades on PAC, who subsequently smashed them. Cassidy was about to do his hands-in-pocket gimmick, but PAC wasn’t having it. Cassidy immediately turned it into the Beach Break for a close near fall before landing his hands-in-pockets tope suicida and putting on a backup pair of sunglasses.

During the commercial break, PAC took control with an attack on the floor. Once back, PAC sent Cassidy into the barricade.  Back in the ring, PAC climbed the top rope and hit two shotgun dropkicks. He hid a third to Cassidy’s back for two. PAC went back to the top, but Cassidy did his slow roll away, so PAC stomped him down.

Cassidy cockily rolled out of the way of the Black Arrow and gave PAC the thumbs up. He then countered an attack, sending PAC into the turnbuckle and applying a victory roll for two. A thrust kick from PAC stopped Cassidy in his tracks, which PAC followed up with a Liger Bomb for two. PAC pushed Cassidy to the floor into a second commercial break.

During the break, Cassidy was checked on by ringside officials. Don Callis came out and taunted PAC, allowing Kenny Omega to hit him with the belt. Neither man could make it up for the 10 count.

– Callis immediately pointed out that there was no winner in the match, so Omega has the night off. Omega said the two men in the ring were losers. Schiavone interrupted them, but before he could speak, Omega put on Cassidy’s sunglasses from last week. Schiavone has been told that it will be a three-way for the world championship at Double or Nothing, with Omega defending against both PAC and Cassidy.

**********

The Young Bucks and the Good Brothers were despondent about their dressing room which had been destroyed by Moxley and Kingston earlier in the show. The Bucks wanted to show they’re fighting champions and defend against the #1-ranked Varsity Blonds next week. Matt then invited Moxley and Kingston to a “superkick party” at Double or Nothing, essentially challenging them to a title match.

**********

Hangman Page, flanked by the Dark Order, was interviewed about his loss to Brian Cage. The Dark Order consoled him, but Page said it took three men to beat him down. It wasn’t Cage that took him out, but Taz. Page recommended that Cage meet Page in the ring one-on-one, challenging him for Double or Nothing.

The Pinnacle Coronation

The announcers recapped Blood & Guts.

The Pinnacle was joined by some women for the celebration. MJF said he took Chris Jericho’s spot — he’s the new Demo God and the greatest of all time. He demanded the audience bow to the Pinnacle. He talked about being ranked #1 on cable last week, breaking a record in Canada as well, thanks to Shawn Spears.

MJF talked about how the Inner Circle was down two men: one because he stabbed MJF, and another because he fell off the cage. He asked the crowd if they’d like to see a rematch, but MJF said “no.”

Tully said the Pinnacle took everything the Inner Circle could dish out last week, mocking the Inner Circle’s reasons and method in quitting the match. He revealed that he had bought expensive watches for the group, and every time they look at their wrist, they can say “That was a present from Tully Blanchard, and that’s what being part of the Pinnacle is all about.”

They were interrupted by a loud horn, which was Ortiz, Hager, and Guevara arriving in a vehicle pulling something behind it. MJF told them to drive off, because the Inner Circle is dead. Jericho popped out of the back of the vehicle with a cast on his arm and asked for a rematch. MJF said “no,” so Guevara sprayed them all with a high-powered hose containing Jericho’s “Bubbly,” which is what the vehicle was pulling in the trailer.

MJF lost it and screamed at the crowd to shut up. He took the Inner Circle up on the same match they lost last year: Stadium Stampede. If the Inner Circle loses, they have to break up forever.

**********

Britt Baker sat down with Jim Ross earlier today about challenging Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women’s Championship at Double or Nothing. She recalled Shida breaking her nose and busting her open, and now, Baker’s the baddest bitch on the block. It’s poetic that the monster she created is going to destroy her.

JR asked if Baker was taking it too far to break up a photo shoot, and if she cared. Baker was tired of being painted as the villain. She said Shida kept the division alive over the last year, but Baker’s the face of the division, the role model, the heart and soul, and the pulse. When you have a pulse, you don’t need a machine keeping everything alive. At Double or Nothing, the division will keep itself alive when Baker becomes champion.

**********

Thunder Rosa defeated Jazmin Allure

Rosa immediately laid in chops and beat Allure down in the corner. Allure reversed a whip and landed an uppercut, but Rosa exploded out with a shotgun dropkick. Rosa hit running sentons, a shoulder breaker, and the Fire Thunder Driver for the squash victory. The announcers talked about her potentially challenging NWA Women’s Champion Serena Deeb down the line.

**********

Jade Cargill was interviewed by Tony Schiavone. He recapped Mark Sterling offering his managerial services to Cargill. Schiavone asked who would handle Cargill’s business, but Cargill’s her own boss. She’s listening to offers, but she’s “that bitch.”

**********

Before the match, a video package recapped Allin being thrown down stairs last week. He said he didn’t have time to worry about it and dropped everything to return to Seattle, his hometown. It reminds him of who he is and how far he’s come.

Allin turned his attention to Miro, asking “what have you done since coming here?” Allin knows exactly who he is, but Miro is generic, and he won’t take Allin’s championship. No matter what happens, Miro will have to admit Allin’s one of the toughest men he’s stepped in the ring with.

TNT Championship: Miro defeated Darby Allin (c) to win the title

This was great.

Miro attacked Allin before the bell, tossing Allin all over the place on the floor. The official wouldn’t start the match after the beatdown. Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page were shown looking on.

The official eventually started the match, and Miro landed the Machka Kick right away for a close near fall. Allin fired back with a shotgun dropkick on the floor. He went for the flipping stunner, Miro countered it, but Allin sent Miro into the post. Allin then landed a fantastic missle tope with a great collision. Allin tried to follow it up with a Coffin Drop, but Miro caught him with a German suplex on the floor.

During the commercial, Sky and Page attacked Sting at ringside. Once back, Miro continued to dismantle Allin’s midsection with a gutwrench hold. Allin fought back with a sleeper hold, having to re-adjust the grip due to the attack. Miro started to fade but eventually reached the ropes.

Miro rolled the floor, where Allin re-applied the sleeper. He tried to use the championship to fight out, but hte official took it away, after which Miro just thrust himself and Allin into a wall to break the hold. Miro brought Allin back into the ring and continued to attack Allin’s right arm before just dumping Allin into the ropes.

Allin was pained, but Sting cheered him on, giving him a fist bump. Allin starched Miro with a slap and hit the stunner, cradling him for a close near fall. He hit a second stunner and climbed the ropes, but Miro caught the Coffin Drop. Allin flipped out of a German suplex and rolled Miro up for a fantastic near fall.

He then hit the Code Red for yet another close near fall. Miro popped up and locked on Game Over for the stoppage, winning the title.

– Page and Sky attacked Sting after the match as Miro taunted Allin. Lance Archer came out and pointed at Miro and the TNT title as the show went off the air.

Taz joined commentary for the match.

Page was attacked during his entrance and beaten down by all of Team Taz until the Dark Order ran out to make the save. Cage planted Page with a powerbomb on the ramp before the match got underway.

Brian Cage defeated Hangman Page

This was really good for the time allotted.

Cage continued the beatdown with stomps, strikes, and suplexes. Taz was great on commentary breaking down the different throws and suplexes that Cage deployed. They spilled to the floor where Cage repeatedly thrust Page into the barricade before dropping him with a back suplex on the apron.

Back in the ring, Cage taunted Page by curling him into an overhead throw, but Page got his knees up on a standing moonsault attempt. Page escaped to the apron but was met with a thrust kick before Cage suplexed him back into the ring the hard way for two.

Page countered a suplex and some strikes before sending Cage to the floor. Cage caught Page on the latter’s plancha attempt, but Page was able to fight out and send Cage into the ring post, following it up with an Orihara moonsault. In the ring, Cage countered the Buckshot Lariat into a powerslam before following it up with a powerbomb, a buckle bomb, and the Drill Claw to pick up the upset win in about six minutes.

The Elite (Omega, Callis, the Young Bucks, and the Good Brothers) were in a limousine celebrating after Omega’s title victory. Omega said that he’s used to people trying to ruin their lives after Moxley and Kingston destroyed their trailer. They’re not going to be intimidated or scared.

However, a horn went off, and everyone jumped — but it was just Michael Nakazawa pushing the wrong button in the vehicle. Omega said Kingston would come face to face with Nakazawa later tonight.

Don Callis joined commentary for the match.

AEW World Tag Team Championship Eliminator: Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) defeated Matt Sydal & Mike Sydal

If the Sydals win this match, they earn a title shot.

Mike and Matt Jackson started off. Mike landed a standing moonsault right away, forcing Nick to tag in, so Mike tagged in his brother as well. Matt Sydal outwrestled Nick, getting across the fact that he’s added a submission element to his game since joining AEW. The Sydal brothers landed stereo dropkicks, but Matt Jackson made a blind tag and took Mike out with a superkick.

Thoughout a break, the Bucks dominated the Sydals before performing twin magic after a double down. Matt Jackson “kipped up” after feigning an injury, but Mike fought out to reach his brother for the hot tag. Matt Sydal ran wild on everyone before crushing Matt Jackson with a brainbuster for two.

Matt Jackson countered Matt Sydal into perfect Indytaker position, but the latter fought out and landed a standing corkscrew moonsault. After a dive from both Sydals, Matt Sydal hit a hurricanrana on both Bucks and applied a crucifix pin for a great near fall.

Matt Sydal landed a leaping hurricanrana on Nick, but a second on Matt Jackson was countered as he was sent crashing to the mat. Mike tagged in and ran into a low blow with the official distracted. The Bucks superkicked Matt Sydal off the apron before killing Mike with the BTE Trigger for the win.

– After the match, Brandon Cutler sprayed the Bucks down with cold spray. SCU came out, with Kazarian recapping that they haven’t lost since making the “if we lose, we break up” ultimatum. They want the tag titles. Daniels was excited to wrestle his friends, the Bucks, but he doesn’t see his friends out there, he sees a couple “bitches.” They’re the #1 contenders, and they’re ready for the Bucks to sign the dotted line for the match.

Jade Cargill cut a video promo about all the managers in AEW wanting to sign her, but she’s not willing to give a cut of her money. She’s “that bitch.”

Alex Abrahantes translated a Penta promo. “Penta says” he’s gonna beat Orange Cassidy to a pulp.

Orange Cassidy (w/ Trent?) defeated Penta El Zero Miedo (w/ Alex Abrahantes)

They both did their schtick at the start, with Cassidy putting his hands in his pockets and Penta doing the “cero miedo” chant. Cassidy went for Beach Break and Penta went for the package piledriver, but both were countered as Penta eventually hit a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Cassidy got the upperhand and posed with the thumb up, so Penta just bit his thumb.

Penta caught a Cassidy tope suicida and just dumped him on the apron leading into the break. Once back, Penta landed multiple gamengiris but was met with a Cassidy crossbody. Penta countered a DDT into a brainbuster for two. Cassidy fired up with right hands, but Penta turned the Orange Punch into a pumphandle driver for two.

It looked like Penta was about to hit the arm-snap spot, but Cassidy fought to put the hand in his pocket. They traded thrust kicks, with Penta countering the Orange Punch into a thrust kick and a destroyer. Penta tried for the package piledriver, but Cassidy turned it into the Beach Break for two.

Penta landed a face wash kick in the corner, but Cassidy hit a Stundog Millionaire out of a brainbuster attempt followed by a diving DDT. A second spinning DDT got two for Cassidy.

Abrahantes grabbed a mic and started to cut a promo, but Cassidy pulled him into the ring. The distraction allowed Penta to hit a thrust kick, but Cassidy escaped and grabbed a mic from Trent, hitting a mic-assisted Orange Punch for the win.

Britt Baker and Rebel were interviewed by Tony Schiavone. Baker is the top of the food chain on merch, ratings, and now the AEW women’s division rankings. She said she was signed to be the face of the women’s division, and it’s time for a new champion.

Inner Circle & Pinnacle Parley

This was incredible. Everyone except Spears completely nailed their promos, with MJF, Santana, and Guevara sticking out as particularly great.

Blood and Guts is next week. Schiavone hosted, bringing out the Pinnacle first and then the Inner Circle, whose security detail came out on motorcycles. Schiavone discussed the rules of the match (it’s War Games rules).

They were about to have a coin toss to say who should get the advantage in who enters first. Spears interrupted and said the Pinnacle deserves the advantage before calling out Guevara, saying he’d step on his head while he drowns. Guevara took the mic and called Spears a failure, both in AEW and “where he used to work.” Guevara said he’d start the match, and he doesn’t care who has the advantage. The Pinnacle will have the advantage.

Wheeler spoke next, saying he wants a different version of Santana and Ortiz at Blood and Guts, not the sanitized version that follows Jericho around. Harwood says he’s not afraid to die before talking about Santana and Ortiz’s kids. He recommended that they tell their kids “Daddy ain’t coming back home.” Ortiz calmed down his partner, and Santana said FTR would be locked in a cage with them. FTR have never been locked up like they have.

MJF addressed Jericho, thanking him and putting over his AEW career so far. However, Jericho must be feeling a lot of pressure. If Jericho doesn’t do well, he could be affecting the food on the table of every man and woman in the company. He said Jericho looks exhausted, so next week, MJF will take Jericho’s crown and replace Jericho at the top of the mountain. When that happens, he will thank Jericho once again.

Jericho called MJF a “self-righteous, self-gratifying little prick.” He said MJF can’t just inherit a spot. When Jericho was 25 years old, he’d already headlined arenas around the world in Japan and Mexico, because he’d learned the respect required to put him at the top of this game. If MJF wants Jericho’s spot, he’s gotta beat him. He said “we *are* Blood and Guts,” as the Inner Circle have been together since day one. If 1969 was the Summer of Love, 2021 is the summer of pain and violence. At Blood and Guts, summer starts early for MJF.

**********

Eddie Kingston vs. Michael Nakazawa never happened. Kingston cut a promo before the match saying he wasn’t doing this sports entertainment crap. He told Nakazawa to get out of the ring.

Omega walked out and said they should be paying Kingston back for what he and Moxley did. Nakazawa attacked Kingston with his laptop, but Kingston countered it into an exploder suplex and a spinning backfist. Kingston wrapped a chair around Nakazawa’s leg and demanded that Omega get in the ring, or he’d break his ankle. Omega said Nakazawa knew what he signed up for before bringing out Brandon Cutler, who had already been attacked by Jon Moxley who ran out.

Moxley choked Omega out with a sleeper and told Callis he wants a tag match with Omega and Nakazawa. Callis obliged, and the match was signed for next week.

**********

Taz was interviewed by Schiavone. Brian Cage is the new #1 contender, but Taz wanted to talk about Christian Cage, who arrived. Christian interrupted him, saying Taz used to be one of the baddest dudes in the ring, but now he basks in the accolades of his associates just so he can feel like that again. Taz didn’t come back to wrestling, but Christian did. Christian is happy to take out Team Taz one by one.

**********

Kris Statlander (w/ Orange Cassidy) defeated Penelope Ford (w/ Kip Sabian)

They laid in strikes right away before Statlander landed a powerslam and a press slam. Ford came back and went for a knee drop, but Statlander rolled out of the way, forcing Ford’s knees into the apron. Statlander booped Ford on the floor, but a distraction from Sabian allowed Ford to hit the knee drop.

Back from break, the two exchanged forearms until Statlander hit a lariat STO. Statlander attacked in the corner with a running knee before a Blue Thunder bomb got two. Ford came back with a diving blockbuster for two. Statlander came back on her own with as Solar Eclipse for two.

Statlander laid in ground and pound but ran into a high kick from Ford for two. Ford went for a handspring move, but Statlander countered it into a Big Bang Theory. Sabian tried to distract the official, but Cassidy stopped him, allowing Statlander to pick up the win.

Preston “10” Vance cut a promo video ahead of his TNT Championship match. He talked about his memories with Mr. Brodie Lee as well as wanting to bring the title back to the Dark Order. This was wonderful.

The Factory (QT Marshall, Nick Comoroto, & Aaron Solow) (w/ Anthony Ogogo) defeated The Nightmare Family (Dustin Rhodes, Billy Gunn, & Lee Johnson)

The two teams fought before the bell, with each member pairing off to brawl on the outside. Eventually the Factory isolated Gunn in the ring, who had his ribs taped after the gut punch from Anthony Ogogo last week.

Dustin tagged in and faced off with Comoroto, hitting his drop-down right hand before being flattened with a back elbow, leading to the commercial break. Throughout, the Factory dismantled Dustin with frequent tags and double teams. Once back, Dustin hit a powerslam, allowing him to reach Johnson for the hot tag.

Johnson ran wild on everyone, concluded with a back elbow into a neckbreaker followed by a kip-up. It was just Johnson and Solow in the ring, with Johnson hitting a Blue Thunder bomb for two. Johnson fought off Solow and Comoroto before landing a corkscrew dive, but with the official distracted, Ogogo killed Johnson and Gunn with gut punches. The punch was enough for Marshall to pin Johnson for the win.

– After the match, Comoroto attacked Dustin with a cow bell. The Factory walked to the back, but Marshall decided to taunt some more, where he was attacked by the Gunn Club. The Factory ran back out and brawled with the Gunn Club as Marshall walked out to the Nightmare Express bus, where he was surprised by a returning Cody Rhodes.

Marshall tried to escape on top of the bus, but was cornered by Cody, who took him down and applied the Figure Four. Marshall frantically tapped as the show ended.

  • Cody Rhodes vs. QT Marshall
  • Kenny Omega & Michael Nakazawa vs. Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston
  • Britt Baker in action
  • AEW Tag Team Eliminator four-way: SCU vs. Jurassic Express vs. Varsity Blonds vs. The Acclaimed

Cameras caught up to Kip Sabian backstage, where he tried to talk to Miro. Miro just killed him, tossing him into a garage door and choking him with a chain before stuffing him in a locker. He then slammed a door on Sabian arm before “forgiving” Sabian.

TNT Championship: Darby Allin (c) (w/ Sting) defeated 10 (w/ Dark Order)

10 looked impressive here as they played off the size discrepancy well.

They established 10’s power advantage early on. Allin tried to out-wrestle the bigger man but was flattened with a shoulder block. Allin fought out of a suplex and clawed at 10’s mask, but 10 powered out with a backbreaker. Allin took 10 down with a chop block, but 10 shrugged off a dive, sending Allin crashing to the mat into the commercial.

Back from break, 10 press slammed Allin to the mat before powering out of a triangle hold with a powerbomb. Allin came back with a stunner and applied the Fujiwara armbar. 10 tried to escape, but Allin rolled through and re-applied the armbar in the center of the ring, forcing 10 to fight to reach the ropes.

They spilled to the floor where 10 regained control, sending Allin into the barricade. Upon re-entry, however, Allin hopped to the top rope and dove onto 10 and Alan Angels with a flipping senton. Sting and the Dark Order faced off as the two competitors recovered. With the official distracted, Ethan Page attacked Allin, sending him into the ring post.

10 was conflicted after the attack but the Dark Order told him to continue the attack. He landed a wheelbarrow German for two. Allin came back by tearing at the mask, but 10 caught Allin on a Coffin Drop attempt, turning it into a full Nelson. Allin faded but rebounded off the ropes, cradling 10 for the pinfall victory.

– After the match, Ethan Page distracted Sting and Allin, allowing Scorpio Sky to attack. Sky dismantled Allin’s leg until Lance Archer ran out to make the save as the show ended.

Ricky Starks cut a promo ahead of the opener, saying he’d show why people call him “Absolute” Ricky Starks.

Taz joined commentary for the match.

Hangman Page defeated Ricky Starks (w/ HOOK)

This was a well-worked opener that could’ve gone even longer if they wanted.

Top-ranked Page plucked Starks out of midair on a leapfrog for the first offensive maneuver of the match. Starks avoided a springboard clothesline, but Page immediately hit it on the second attempt before following it up with a pescado. A pumphandle fallaway slam from Page got two.

Page tried to follow up the offense, but Starks took control by sending Page windpipe-first into the middle rope. Starks flipped out of a German suplex but springboarded into a lariat. Page landed repeated forearms and another fallaway slam before a brainbuster got a two count.

Starks avoided a sliding lariat and used the ropes to escape the Deadeye, forcing Page up into a powerbomb for a near fall. They fought up top where Page landed a third fallaway slam, this time from an avalanche position. He followed it up with a lariat for a close near fall. Page then went for the Buckshot Lariat, but Starks avoided it and hit a spear for another near fall.

It looked like Starks went for Roshambo, but Page escaped into a reversal sequence. Page then turned it into almost a seated sleeper while wrenching on the ankle, forcing Starks to tap.

– After the match, Taz grabbed a mic and said Page got lucky. He then told Page to watch his back as HOOK came in and took Page out with a chop block. Brian Cage came out and set up for a powerbomb, but Dark Order ran out to make the save.

The Elite was shown arriving at the taping into their own personal trailer.

Abrahantes translated Penta’s pre-match promo, which said that if Orange Cassidy got in Death Triangle’s way, they’d turn him into orange juice.

Penta El Zero Miedo (w/ Alex Abrahantes) defeated Trent? (w/ Orange Cassidy)

This was a fun back-and-forth match until the convoluted finish.

Penta did his glove gimmick early on. They exchanged strikes until a set of high knees from Trent took down Penta. Penta pulled Trent out of the ring and tossed him into the barricade, but Trent popped up and landed a hard lariat and then a wild tope con giro.

Back in the ring, a springboard crossbody and Sling Blade from Penta got two. Trent fought out of the package piledriver and hit a tornado DDT, but Penta popped off the ropes into a destroyer ahead of the commercial break. Once back, Trent countered a backstabber into a half-and-half suplex.

Trent landed a running knee for two. He tried to follow it up in the corner, but Penta kicked his leg out and hit a backstabber for two of his own. Penta then hit a pumphandle driver for a good near fall.

They exchanged chops on the apron until Trent landed a piledriver on the apron. Abrahantes grabbed a mic and distracted Trent, telling him he sicks, his friend sucks, and his momma sucks. Trent grabbed a chair and went after Abrahantes. It looked like Orange Cassidy and Trent had him trapped, but Penta surprised Cassidy with a superkick and then Abrahantes whacked Trent with the microphone, allowing Penta to pick up the win.

The Pinnacle sit-down interview with Jim Ross

This was sensational.

JR asked MJF about Jericho’s famous promo from a couple weeks ago. He talked about how his scarf was old and ragged, but then Wardlow opened a new scarf, a gift from Tully Blanchard.

Wardlow said that Jericho cut one of the best promos of his career, but he stumbled over his words when he got to Wardlow. MJF said Jericho wouldn’t elevate the talent around him, mocking the “Jericho rub.” He said Jericho’s outsmarted everyone in his career except himself.

MJF then exploded, saying he’s not just “great for his age,” he’s great — period. He’s undefeated, and he’s already beaten Jericho. He’s better than Jericho, and Jericho knows it. MJF wants Jericho’s spot, because the Pinnacle is always on top.

**********

A really nice pre-match video played hyping this match. Conti came across extremely likable.

Dark Order joined Conti for her entrance.

AEW Women’s World Championship: Hikaru Shida (c) defeated Tay Conti

This was the best match of Conti’s career.

They went into a forearm exchange right away. Conti went for judo throws, but Shida continuously blocked until Conti used the ropes as leverage for a takedown. Conti then hit two soccer kicks for two. She went for a Fujiwara armbar before transitioning into a waistlock chickenwing. Shida reached the ropes to force the break.

Shida avoided a soccer kick on the apron and sent Conti crashing down. She followed it up with the draped running knee. Still on the floor, Shida hit an enziguiri and then a brainbuster before rolling her opponent back into the ring. She applied a bow-and-arrow submission before transitioning into a forearm facelock into a commercial break.

Once back, Shida still maintained control of the match. She broght Conti into the ring the hardway with a suplex over the ropes, but Conti popped up with a pump kick for a double down. Conti landed repeated judo throws and a German suplex. She then placed Shida over the ropes and landed a senton for two.

Conti went for the DD-Tay, but Shida countered with a knee and the Falcon Arrow for two. Conti stopped Shida from hitting the Tamashii before they fought up top. Shida hit a headbutt before dropping Conti over the top turnbuckle with the Witch’s Shot.

Shida went for the Katana but ran into a pump kick. Conti followed it up with the Tay-KO for a close near fall. Shida fought out of the DD-Tay and hit a back-to-belly piledriver for two. Conti landed repeated elbow strikes but was just slapped for her trouble. Shida then hit a backbreaker and the Katana to win and retain the title.

– After the match, Britt Baker’s music played as she pointed out that she’s the top contender, setting up a future title match.

**********

Miro cut a video promo saying it didn’t matter who he fights. The only question is who he beats first.

**********

The Inner Circle are interviewed by Tony Schiavone

Jericho didn’t want to talk about the Pinnacle’s comments from earlier in the evening. Instead, he thanked the crowd and promoted the upcoming Blood and Guts match. Jake Hager pulled out straws and said everyone in the Pinnacle would be sucking food through a straw after Blood and Guts.

Santana pointed out The Pinnacle waits to have backup before they fight, saying that’s a “bitch move.” On May 5, we’ll see if the Pinnacle has heart.

Jericho said MJF has a lot of words but no conviction. Even though MJF can sing showtunes, Jericho can sing showtunes too. He sang a song, which prompted a “swirlie” chant. He said he washed his ass with MJF’s new scarf.

Even though it’s fun to make jokes, Jericho said Blood and Guts would be a show of violence we’d never forget. Next week the Inner Circle and the Pinnacle will meet face to face, and at Blood and Guts, the Inner Circle owns MJF’s ass.

**********

Before the match, Anthony Ogogo called America a dump before Marshall said he’d take care of business.

QT Marshall (w/ The Factory) defeated Billy Gunn

Billy attacked Marshall and co. before the bell before sending Marshall to the floor. Back in the ring, Billy maintained control with power moves and body slams. Out on the floor, Billy continued the attack, but a distraction from the official allowed Comoroto to take Billy down. The Gunn Club attacked from the crowd, leaving Marshall and Billy one-on-one at the ring.

Marshall tried to continue the beatdown, but Billy started to fire up. Marshall just hit a straight piledriver for a close near fall. He mocked DX, so Billy popped up and downed Marshall with clotheslines and a Blue Thunder bomb. Marshall fought out of the Fameasser but Billy fought off the Diamond Cutter.

With the official distracted, Anthony Ogogo ran out and crushed Billy with a gut punch, allowing Marshall to hit a Diamond Cutter and win.

– After the match, Marshall was about to continue the attack on Billy with a chair, but Dustin Rhodes ran out and attacked with a bull rope. Dustin and Ogogo faced off, with Dustin picking up the wooden chair that Marshall was about to use. Comoroto ran out, so Dustin smashed the wooden chair over Comoroto’s head as the segment ended.

**********

The Elite were filmed from their personal trailer. Don Callis introduced everyone before saying Kenny Omega was soon to be the new IMPACT champion. Matt Jackson said the Elite was the reason that business went up in Japan and pointed out that it’s called “All ELITE Wrestling.”

Omega was about to speak, but was interrupted by some honking from outside the trailer. It was Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston in a pickup truck. Moxley floored it and rammed the truck into the Elite’s trailer before walking out with a pipe. The two walked into the trailer, but the Elite were nowhere to be found.

**********

Taz joined commentary for the match, where he revealed that the rest of Team Taz had been banned from ringside.

Christian Cage defeated Powerhouse Hobbs

This was a strong match, better than Christian’s first match against Kazarian.

Hobbs overpowered Christian early on, sending him to the ramp. Christian baited Hobbs to the floor with some slaps, allowing him to hit a diving dropkick, but Hobbs popped up and just leveled him with a lariat. He sent Christian over the barricade and exposed the steel guardrail, grinding Christian’s face into it ahead of the break.

Back from commercial, Christian fought back and immediately went for the Killswitch, but Hobbs muscled his way out of it. He whipped Christian across the ring and went for a Vader bomb, but Christian got his legs up. Christian landed right hands and a pendulum kick before a diving uppercut for two.

Christian followed up the attack with some improvised offense, but Hobbs turned a running attack into a hard spinebuster for a near fall. Christian went for the swinging DDT but transitioned into a powerbomb and a frog splash for two. Hobbs shrugged off a spear attempt with a body block before a corner hip attack got two.

A sleeper attempt caught Hobbs by surprise, but he was able to turn it into perfect position for Town Business. However, Hobbs took time to taunt, and Christian hit the Killswitch to win.

– After the match, Ricky Starks limped out to check on Hobbs as he and Christian stared each other down.

TNT Championship: Darby Allin (w/ Sting) (c) defeated Jungle Boy (w/ Jurassic Express)

They performed technical wrestling early on, with a couple cradle attempts getting near falls. After a Snare Trap attempt, Allin took Jungle Boy down with a Thesz press and repeated right hands. They fought on the floor, where Jungle Boy tackled Allin over the barricade into the ringside seating area.

After the commercial break, Jungle Boy landed a strike combination before tossing Allin into the corner. He then hit a couple suplex bridges for near falls. Allin avoided the rebound lariat and hit a stunner for two. Jungle Boy fought out of a corner attack and hit a crazy move, like a body scissors where Allin bumped like it was a reverse hurricanrana.

Jungle Boy hit repeated topes, landing a tope con giro on the third. He tried to suplex Allin back into the ring, but Allin turned it into a guillotine. Allin then landed a Coffin Drop on the apron. As the referee made his count, Luchasaurus assisted Jungle Boy getting back into the ring, which prompted Sting to pick a fight. They fought all the way up through the tunnel.

Back in the ring, Jungle Boy hit his rebound lariat, a brainbuster, and a running elbow for two. He then applied the Snare Trap. Allin reached the ropes, but Jungle Boy pulled him back out with a rolling Romero special before re-applying the Snare Trap. Allin gouged at Jungle Boy’s eyes to escape the hold.

Jungle Boy battered Allin with ground and pound and hit a sunset flip, but Allin locked on the Last Supper cradle for the sudden win.

– After the match, Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page ran out and beat down both competitors. Page killed Allin with the Ego’s Edge, but Lance Archer ran out to make the save. Page and Sky beat down Archer after a low blow, but Sting ran out with a baseball bat and chased them off.

Our live coverage begins at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

**********

Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle rolled up in luxury vehicles to open the show.

Hangman Page defeated Max Caster (w/ Anthony Bowens)

This was #1 vs. #3 in the men’s singles rankings. Caster rapped before the match as always. Page attacked Bowens before the bell and then beat down Caster in the corner. He dominated the early goings, landing a fallaway slam and a big boot. They brawled on the floor until Page exchanged words with Bowens, allowing Caster to take control with a dropkick.

Page came back right away with a springboard lariat and a plancha to the floor. He dropped Caster over the barricade and hit a jumping lariat. Caster countered the follow-up and sold an injury as Bowens attacked Page on the floor, leading to the heat.

A spinebuster and an exploder suplex from Page led to his comeback. They exchanged forearms on the apron, where Page dropped Caster onto the ring frame. Page hopped up to the rop rope to go for an Orihara moonsault, but Bowens distracted him. Caster tried to pop up and hit a superplex, but he stumbled on the first try before hitting it. That was an awkward spot.

Caster tried to follow it up with a springboard but was met by a lariat. Page went for the Deadeye, but Bowens tossed the boombox into the ring, distracting the official while he slipped Caster a chain. Caster downed Page with a chain-assisted right hand for a good near fall. He tried to follow it up with the Mic Drop elbow, but Page rolled out of the way.

Bowens tried to stop the Buckshot Lariat, but Page dispatched him with a moonsault and hit the Lariat on Caster for the win.

Tony Schiavone brought out the Death Triangle for an interview. He announced that PAC & Rey Fénix would get their tag title shot next week.

Best Friends, Orange Cassidy, and Kris Statlander interrupted. Cassidy played clips of their interactions/feuds from early last year. Death Triangle shrugged it off, but PAC said he knew why they’re here. He thinks they want a shot at the next AEW World Tag Team Champions, but they’re far from worthy.

Trent said they’re the tag team with more wins than anyone in this company. They’re only out there to give the Death Triangle a heads up: the boys are back in town, and they’ve got an alien with them now.

**********

A video of Mike Tyson and Jacksonville Jaguars coach Urban Meyer chatting played.

**********

Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle came out to speak. He said “We are the Inner Circle, and we are back in black.” The Pinnacle’s beatdown taught them a lot, and it gave them a wakeup call. He apologized to the fans.

Those decisions were the result of MJF (who he called “my jerkoff friend”). Jericho said he’s not that smart, but what he is smart about is the wrestling business. He brought in MJF to keep him down, but he didn’t expect him to outsmart them. he said MJF is trying to grow up too fast, and he’s not as good as he thinks he is.

Jericho called MJF a “mark.” He’ll never, ever be better than Chris Jericho, and he knows it. Jericho then insulted each of MJF’s followers in the Pinnacle before challenging them to Blood and Guts on May 5.

**********

Christian Cage was interviewed by Dasha. He said he felt like last week was the culmination of years of scratching and clawing to make it back before saying he loved the match against Kazarian.

Taz interrupted and talked about their history together. He offered Christian a spot in Team Taz. Christian was about to respond, but Taz told him to sleep on it.

Before this match, there was a wacky Godzilla vs. Kong tie-in video package with Jurassic Express footage interspersed. It was billed as a “Godzilla vs. Kong match.”

Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus) defeated Bear Country (Bear Bronson & Bear Boulder)

This was the #2 and the #4 ranked tag team, respectively. Jurassic Express sent both opponents packing right away, with Jungle Boy landing consecutive suicide dives on Boulder. Bear Country caught him on the third, but Luchasaurus took them out with a step-up dive of his own.

Back in the ring, Boulder set up for a powerbomb on Jungle Boy, but Luchasaurus tried to break it up with a crossbody. I think the spot was supposed to be Boulder catching Luchasaurus, but that didn’t happen. Boulder then powerbombed Jungle Boy into the commercial break.

Bear Country isolated Jungle Boy throughout the break with frequent tags. Jungle Boy flipped out of a double team and reached Luchasaurus for the hot tag. Luchasaurus ran wild on everyone, beating down both of Bear Country with a flurry of big moves including a German suplex and a lariat. He went to the top rope but was cut off by Boulder, who hit a superplex.

Jungle Boy dove in to break up the pinfall and hit a springboard DDT on Bronson. Luchasaurus planted Boulder with a slam, but the pinfall was broken up by a Bronson hitting a driver on Jungle Boy. Bear Country hit a double team corner cannonball on Luchasaurus for a near fall. They set up for a big splash, but Jurassic Express cut them off with a boot.

Jurassic Express sent Boulder to the floor before Luchasaurus hit a chokeslam and the Mesozoic Moonsault for the win.

**********

A QT Marshall video played, flanked by his new group. He said he was left dead in the water before he even started, unlike Cody, who knew he would never be a superstar. He’s not worried about other people’s success, so he put over his group members.

Anthony Ogogo spoke for the first time, saying he punches people for fun. Marshall said this is his f—ing factory, and Nick Comoroto then threw paint on the Nightmare Factory wall. The group appears to be called “The Factory.”

Sting was brought out by Tony Schiavone. He was immediately interrupted by Jake Roberts, who pointed out that this happens every week. Lance Archer came out and demanded that the world, and Sting specifically, pay attention to him. This is Archer’s time.

In a shocking turn of events, Sting took the microphone and said he agrees with Archer. He told Roberts to help Archer channel that energy into being a main event talent before demanding that Archer make it happen.

A Team Taz video played. Ricky Starks said he wanted to hear from Brian Cage, but Taz told him to stop instigating things. They need to be smart, since they have an offer going out to Christian Cage right now.

TNT Championship: Darby Allin (c) (w/ Sting) defeated JD Drake (w/ Ryan Nemeth & Cezar Bononi)

This was a really good TNT Title match and a breakout showcase for Drake.

Drake dropped Allin with a chop right away, sending him to the floor. Allin whiffed on a dropkick before downing Drake with a dive to the floor. He tried to follow it up with another dive, but Nemeth distracted him, allowing Drake to shrug off the dive. Sting, baseball bat in hand, chased Nemeth out of the arena while Drake continued his beatdown of the champion through a break.

Back from break, we got a cool spot where Drake rebounded Allin off the ropes from the outside and leveled him with a forearm. Allin avoided a cannonball on the floor, sending Drake crashing into the barricade. Allin then took out both Drake and Bononi with a top-rope dive to the floor.

Drake pushed Allin off the top rope and attacked him in the tree of woe, concluding with another cannonball. A Vader bomb followed for a good near fall. Allin rolled out of the way of a moonsault and went back to the top rope but was cut off by Drake yet again. The two laid in hard strikes on each other before Allin hit an avalanche Code Red and the Coffin Drop for the win.

– After the match, Butcher and Blade attacked Allin, flanked by Matt Hardy and Private Party. Bunny wanted them to put Allin through the announce table, but Sting and the Dark Order ran out and chased them off. Tay Conti attacked Bunny as officials ran out to set up their singles match.

Chris Jericho was interviewed by Alex Marvez but was immediately attacked by the Pinnacle. They brought him out to the ring and beat him down, with MJF choking Jericho with the Burberry scarf. FTR killed him with the spike piledriver. The camera cut backstage to the Inner Circle being locked in their dressing room and having to break down the door.

It appeared as if Jericho was about to be sent through a table, but Mike Tyson interrupted, bludgeoning Shawn Spears with strikes. Tyson took his shirt off and has an amazing physique for his age. Inner Circle finally made it out as they and Tyson stood tall, with Jericho and Tyson shaking hands and burying the hatchet.

Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. and Rebel were interviewed by Schiavone. Baker demanded a championship match, but Schiavone brought up she’s only ranked #4. Baker said win/loss records don’t matter because she’s a draw. Either way, she’s going to keep racking up wins to get to a championship shot.

Tay Conti (w/ Dark Order) defeated The Bunny (w/ Hardy Family Offices)

Hikaru Shida was at ringside for this match for some reason.

Bunny attacked early on, but Conti came back with a capture suplex and kicks. Bunny caught a soccer kick, sending Conti into the apron before suplexing Conti on the floor. She sent Conti into the barricade and maintained control through a commercial break.

Conti was making her comeback when Dynamite resumed. She hit judo throws but missed a corner knee, running into a thrust kick from Bunny. Conti laid in forearms, but Hardy tried to distract her. She avoided Bunny trying to take advantage and hit the Tay-KO for two.

Bunny rolled to the floor and downed Shida with a cheap shot before hitting Conti with a kendo stick. Shida popped up and took the kendo stick from Bunny, allowing Conti to hit a superplex and the DD-Tay for the win.

Kenny Omega & The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson) (w/ Don Callis) defeated Jon Moxley & The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson)

The melodrama isn’t doing it for me. This is a simple rehash of the Young Bucks/Golden Lovers storyline from a few years ago in NJPW.

After some jawing back and forth early on, Callis joined commentary.

Matt and Omega faced off to start the action, with Matt instead opting to tag in his brother. Omega downed Nick with a shoulder tackle, but Nick came back with a hurricanrana, so Omega tagged in Anderson. Nick maintained his advantage, dispatching Anderson and Omega before Moxley helped to send Gallows to the floor. Moxley and the Bucks followed it up with three dives to the floor.

During the commercial break, Omega and the Good Brothers took control by forcing Matt into the corner and beating him down with frequent tags. Matt reached Moxley for the hot tag by flipping out of a suplex. Moxley ran wild with lariats on Anderson before starching him with a slap and a German suplex. More Germans followed for Moxley’s other two opponents.

Anderson countered the sleeper by dropping down to the floor, allowing Gallows to down Moxley with a boot. Moxley came back with a neckbreaker, allowing him to tag in Nick. Nick laid in kicks on Anderson and fought off both Good Brothers, concluding with a diving stomp on Gallows and a backstabber on Anderson. A soccer kick followed on Gallows, but Anderson countered an X-Factor into a spinebuster.

Matt and Omega tagged in, with Matt outwrestling Omega before downing him with a DDT. Omega was on roller skates but Matt couldn’t bring himself to superkick him, so Omega repeatedly slapped him. Matt snapped with a takedown, laying in ground and pound on the champion. We got a parade of big moves, concluded with Omega dropping Matt on his head with two snap dragon suplexes.

Moxley prevented Omega from hitting a V-Trigger with a huge lariat before Matt stuffed Omega with a piledriver for a near fall. The Young Bucks hit More Bang For Your Buck, but Anderson came in to break up the pin. Nick’s escalara dive took out the Good Brothers on the floor.

Matt wouldn’t keep up the attack on Omega, but Nick set up for the BTE Trigger. Matt wouldn’t hit it, so Moxley came in and demanded they fight. Moxley tagged himself in and hit the Paradigm Shift on Omega, before following it up with a second. He locked in the rear naked choke before setting up for a Gotch piledriver, but the Bucks superkicked Moxley, preventing him from getting the win.

Eddie Kingston limped out to stop the attack, but the Good Brothers cut him off with a Magic Killer. They hit a Magic Killer on Moxley and dragged Omega on top for the win.

– After the match, the Good Brothers set up Moxley for superkicks, and the Bucks obliged.

Christian Cage defeated Frankie Kazarian

This match was extremely decent, if that makes sense. Nothing was wrong with it, the work was pretty flawless, but it lacked energy and urgency from the start, especially going longer than 15 minutes.

Neither man could establish an advantage early on as they performed chain wrestling. A back elbow from Kazarian was the first big strike of the match, sending Christian to the ramp. Christian struck Kazarian with a hard slap but was backdropped back into the ring. Kazarian then laid in strikes in the corner before sending him off the top rope all the way to the floor.

Christian tried to attack upon-re-entry, but Kazarian surprised him with a leg drop before applying a cravat. Kazarian turned it into a front sleeler, and Christian began to fade before Kazarian hit a neckbreaker for two. He followed it up with a back suplex for another two.

A frustrated Kazarian shrugged off from shots from Christian and dropped him with one of his own. Christian made his comeback by fighting out of a corner attack and hitting a swinging DDT for two. He dropped to the floor and hit his draping right hand and the diving European uppercut for two. Christian attacked in the corner with a ten-count of right hands as the ten-minute call sounded.

Kazarian surprised Christian with a jackknife but was turned into a cradle himself for two. He went for the crossface chickenwing, but then Christian turned it around and went for the Killswitch. Christian escaped a suplex and hit a reverse DDT. He headed to the top rope, but Kazarian rolled out of the way of a diving headbutt.

Once again, Kazarian went for the crossface chickenwing, locking it on tight this time. After a long fight, Christian’s foot reached the ropes. Christian rolled Kazarian up but fell victim to a strike combination and a springboard leg drop for two. They went to the top rope and fought until Kazarian attacked with a well-placed headbutt. Kazarian followed it up with the Flux Capacitor for another near fall.

Christian avoided a springboard leg drop and landed a frog splash for a close near fall. He rolled out of a chickenwing attempt and sent Kazarian shoulder-first into the corner post before hitting the Killswitch for his first AEW victory.

Unsanctioned exhibition match: Cody Rhodes vs. QT Marshall w/ special guest referee Arn Anderson went to a no contest

This was a crazy angle.

All the Nightmare Factory trainees, including guys like the Gunn Club and Lee Johnson, were at ringside for this match.

Cody took Marshall down with a shoulder tackle before a criss-cross led to a series of arm drags. He teased stomping on Marshall until the latter reached the ropes. Cody then hit the Rhodes drop-down right hand but ran into a dropkick, allowing Marshall to target Cody’s shoulder through a commercial break.

Back from break, Cody turned the tables with a body slam before going for the figure four. He then opted not to apply it, based on his words from last week, before doing the same with the Cross Rhodes. Marshall starched Cody with a slap but missed a crossbody on the follow-up.

– Marshall snapped and attacked Arn with a cheap shot right hand. All the trainees ran into the ring to ostensibly make the save, but they all turned on the veterans and coaches (and Lee Johnson). Johnson took a powerbomb on the apron before a busted-open Dustin Rhodes took a piledriver from Marshall on the steel steps. The boxer Anthony Ogogo dropped Cody with a body shot.

They propped Cody up on the steel steps and Marshall was about to crack him with a chair shot, but Red Velvet ran out and got in the way of it to stop it.

The students that turned heel to join Marshall included Anthony Ogogo, Nick Comoroto, and Aaron Solow. The babyfaces were the Gunn Club, Dustin, Cody, and Lee Johnson.

Jon Moxley cut a promo about the Good Brothers’ attack on Eddie Kingston last week. He’s confused and pissed off about everyone’s motivations and everything else going on before talking about Cezar Bononi. He said someone Bononi might be a big moneymaker, but not if Moxley kills him first.

**********

Jon Moxley defeated Cezar Bononi (w/ Ryan Nemeth & JD Drake)

Bononi overpowered Moxley at the start before Moxley took him down with a leg crank and a dragon screw. Nemeth grabbed Moxley’s boot, allowing Bononi to down him with a vertical suplex for two.

This match surprisingly went through a commercial break, where Bononi maintained control. Moxley came back with strikes but couldn’t knock the big man down before suckering Bononi in for a German suplex. Bononi’s associates got involved, but Moxley downed Nemeth with a Paradigm Shift before transitioning into a rear naked choke on Bononi for the win.

**********

Team Taz relayed a message. Taz tried to explain everything, but Ricky Starks interrupted to ask for Brian Cage’s thoughts. Cage got heated about how it took them a long time to put their opponents away, but Taz calmed everyone down and said they couldn’t be stopped.

MJF’s gift to The Pinnacle

MJF introduced the gift: their new personal Pinnacle stylist. He also got them an interior decorator to remodel the locker room, including the bathroom, but when he opened the door, the Inner Circle was incide. The two stables brawled all over the backstage area, with the individual Inner Circle members gaining the upper hand each time.

Guevara sent Spears through a door, Hager tossed Wardlow through a table, Santana & Ortiz put Wheeler in an ice bath and beat down Tully and a busted-open Harwood, and Jericho gave MJF a swirlie in the toilet before sending him through a vending machine and dumping bubbly on him. They put the Inner Circle sign back on the locker room.

**********

The Young Bucks were interviewed by Alex Marvez but were interrupted by Don Callis, who told Marvez to beat it. Callis talked to Matt one-on-one, saying he loves Kenny Omega and he thought Matt did too, but last week, Matt broke Omega’s heart.

Callis tried to guilt Matt by bringing up the attack on Matt’s dad, clearly trying to provoke Matt into attacking him. Callis slapped Matt across the face, leading to Matt getting in Callis’s face, but Matt didn’t end up doing anything. Callis ended the segment saying “You make me sick.”

**********

The Lucha Bros and Laredo Kid cut a promo before the match, with Alex Abrahantes translating by saying they’re coming for all the championships.

Callis joined commentary for the match.

Kenny Omega & The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows) defeated Lucha Bros (Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fénix) & Laredo Kid

This was a fantastic, all-action tag match, with Laredo Kid in particular looking impressive in the same way Fénix has in recent months.

Kid attacked everyone right away with a dive, as did Fénix. They triple-teamed Omega in the ring with superkicks for two. The three luchadors then landed stereo dives on all three opponents on the floor.

With the match reset, it was Omega and Kid in the ring. Kid landed a couple moonsaults for two. Omega countered a corner attack with a running takedown before tagging in Gallows. Involvement from Anderson allowed Gallows to down Kid with a roundhouse kick.

The Good Brothers and Omega isolated Kid on their side of the ring with frequent tags and double teams, including throughout a commercial break. After the commercial, Omega and the Good Brothers landed a triple splash on Kid for two. Kid eventually reached Penta for the hot tag.

Penta hit slingblades before taggin in Fénix, who hit a double cutter. They hit their assisted cazadora splash before tagging for three consecutive dives on Anderson for two. The Good Brothers and Omega regained control with a triple team on Fénix, with Penta barely making it back in the ring to break up the count. Anderson hit a Claymore kick for two, then the Good Brothers set up for Magic Killer, before a Penta interruption led to a parade of big moves.

Fénix hit a hook kick and Penta hit a destroyer on Omega, but Anderson cut Fénix off with a spinebuster. Kid broke up the pin with a dive. Omega and Kid tagged in with a strike exchange, but Omega countered a dive into a powerbomb and a V-Trigger for two. Omega then set up for the One-Winged Angel, but Kid escaped and landed an insane tope on Omega.

Penta landed a dive on both Lucha Brothers as Omega and Kid both re-entered the ring. Fénix hit his rope-walk kick and Kid hit an great Michinoku driver on Omega for an awesome near fall. Omega avoided a Phoenix Splash, hit a V-Trigger, and hit the One-Winged Angel for the win.

– Jon Moxley, followed by the Young Bucks, walked out to face off with Omega and the Good Brothers, who bailed out of the ring.

**********

Britt Baker was interviewed by her associate Rebel. Baker talked about the new AEW Dark: Elevation show, pointing out that Thunder Rosa is on the show, which is good because her victory over Baker didn’t count in the win-loss column. Baker will continue to put Rosa and AEW on the map.

**********

A Matt Hardy promo aired before the match, pointing out that tomorrow is April 1, meaning he’ll start to make his money back.

Nyla Rose & The Bunny (w/ Vickie Guerrero, Matt Hardy, Private Party, The Butcher, & The Blade) defeated Hikaru Shida & Tay Conti (w/ Dark Order)

The teams brawled before the bell, with Rose attacking Shida with a leg drop right away. Bunny tagged in, allowing Shida to take control with a throw before going for the Fujiwara armbar. Bunny reached the ropes, leading to Shida’s draping knee lift. Shida got in Hardy’s face, allowing Rose to blindside her ahead of a commercial.

Once back, Shida made a comeback by suplexing Bunny into Rose. Conti tagged in for the first time and hit repeated judo throws before hitting multiple nice knee strikes. Out on the floor, she hit a backbreaker on Bunny right in front of Hardy. Dark Order and Hardy’s group started to brawl as Conti hit the Tay-KO, but Rose broke it up.

Shida dispatched Rose and then the two hit a convoluted dive sequence on Hardy’s group. With the official distracted, Bunny grabbed a kendo stick and whacked Conti with it, leading to the pin.

Arcade Anarchy: Chuck Taylor & Orange Cassidy defeated Miro & Kip Sabian (w/ Penelope Ford)

As expected, this match was a wild brawl with a ton of fun moments. The big story will be the return of both Trent and Kris Statlander but the match was great on its own terms.

This was Falls Count Anywhere with video game machines all over ringside.

Taylor and Cassidy attacked before the bell, with Taylor pairing off with Miro and Cassidy with Sabian. Miro flattened Taylor with a fallaway slam as Cassidy sent Sabian through the Whack-A-Mole machine. Miro came out of nowhere and leveled Cassidy before beating him down on the floor. He then propped up a barricade, but Taylor and Cassidy double teamed him. Miro powered out and suplexed Taylor through the barricade.

Miro grabbed a chair and beat down Cassidy in the ring before wedging the chair in the corner and sending Cassidy headfirst into it. Out of nowhere, Taylor jumped off an arcade cabinet to save Cassidy, allowing them to regain control. Cassidy then waffled Miro with a trash can lid as Taylor teed off with a kendo stick. They then used the barricade as a battering ram to take down Miro before dumping plunder on him to bury him.

Cassidy went for a cover, but Sabian came out to break it up. Sabian made a one-man comeback on both opponents, dropkicking Cassidy through a wall, but Taylor cut him off and sent him into the ring. Taylor grabbed a teddy bear and dumped out the contents: Legos.

Taylor tried to suplex Taylor onto the Legos, but Sabian escaped and powerbombed him onto them. Cassidy ran in to break up the pinfall. Cassidy hit a tornado DDT and the Beach Break for two before hitting the Orange Punch. Cassidy would’ve had it won, but Penelope pulled the official out of the ring and punted Cassidy for a low blow.

It appeared as if Penelope was going to attack Cassidy, but Kris Statlander returned by popping out of a claw machine, following it up with a fisherman’s buster through an arcade machine at ringside.

Miro showed up and tossed Cassidy the length of the ring with a biel. He attacked both opponents with a chair and propped up a table. While he did so, Trent’s mom Sue’s minivan rolled up and Trent made his return as well. The Best Friends all beat down Miro, but Miro fought them all off. Miro then made his way to the minivan, but Trent made the save.

Trent avoided having a token machine sent into his face and tossed a chair at Miro before spearing him through the propped-up table. On the stabe, Taylor hit a running powerslam through some staged tables for the win.

The Best Friends, plus Statlander, all hugged before giving Sue the thumbs up to end the show.

AEW Dynamite live results: Omega vs. Sydal World title eliminator

Kenny Omega will face Matt Sydal tonight on AEW Dynamite in a Word title eliminator match. If Sydal wins, he earns a future AEW World Championship match against Omega.

The TNT Championship will be on the line tonight as Darby Allin defends against John Silver of The Dark Order. This match was set up on last week’s Dynamite when Allin issued an open challenge to any member of Dark Order. The faction decided that Silver should get the shot.

The Pinnacle will see their first official action as a unit when members FTR and Shawn Spears take on Varsity Blonds and Top Flight’s Dante Martin.

In another trios match, The Young Bucks and Brandon Cutler will take on Rey Fenix, Penta El Zero Miedo and the returning Laredo Kid. This will be Laredo Kid’s first AEW action since Fyter Fest 2019.

Our live coverage begins at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

Kenny Omega (w/ Don Callis) defeated Matt Sydal (w/ Mike Sydal)

This was a fantastic opener and Sydal’s best match in years.

If Sydal wins, he earns an AEW World Championship shot. Callis joined commentary for the match.

They performed chain wrestling to start. Omega tried to establish a power advantage, but Sydal used his agility to evade some holds. Omega eventually downed Sydal with a back elbow. He laid in a hard chop, but Sydal came back with a tijeras and forced Omega to roll outside to avoid a kick.

Back in the ring, Omega regained control and beat down Sydal with shoulder blocks. Sydal avoided a V-Trigger and landed a twisting moonsault for two, following it it up with corner knees. He went to the top rope. Omega tried to counter it, was taken down by a headscissor, but immediately popped up and leveled Sydal with a lariat.

Omega continued his beatdown with a suplex on the apron and a hard backbreaker. He went for a powerbomb, but Sydal escaped and landed a couple kicks to start his comeback. Sydal followed it up with a top rope hurricanrana and a Northern Lights bomb for two. He tried for another top-rope rana, but Omega escaped and Sydal was sent crashing to the mat.

The snap dragon suplex and Aoi Shoudou followed for Omega, but Sydal countered the V-Trigger into a cradle for a great near fall. A roundhouse kick and Lightning Spiral followed for another close near fall. Sydal went for a meteora, but Omega countered it into a buckle bomb, another powerbomb, and a V-Trigger, but Sydal kicked out just before three.

Omega hit another V-Trigger, but Sydal countered out of the One-Winged Angel with a reverse hurricanrana. He set up for the shooting star press, but Omega kicked the ropes, buying him some time. Omega then crushed Sydal with another V-Trigger, but Sydal landed a victory roll for a super close near fall. Omega had had enough, hitting another V-Trigger and the One-Winged Angel for the win.

John Silver and the Dark Order were interviewed about whether Silver is ready for his title match against Darby Allin. They told Marvez to screw off and mocked the Coffin Drop. Hangman Page told Silver they’d be proud of him win or lose and wished him luck.

**********

Hangman Page defeated Cezar Bononi

Page landed a boot and baited Bononi out of the ring, where he attempted a plancha. Bononi caught Page and dumped him onto the apron. He downed Page with a lariat, but Page popped right off and laid in a sequence of strikes. Bononi countered with a bodyslam throw. Page avoided a corner clothesline and downed Bononi with an exploder suplex. The Buckshot Lariat followed for the win.

Lance Archer addressed Sting in a video. He said he looked up to Sting, but it’s Archer’s time now. Sting’s going to go down as one of the greatest ever, but people are going to remember Archer’s name, and sooner or later, it’ll be showtime.

A video recap of Thunder Rosa vs. Britt Baker played, including Rosa’s emotional post-match comments.

Tony Schiavone then interviewed Baker. She admonished the fans for the lack of a warm welcome and called them dumb and delusional. Baker told Rosa she should be thanking her for creating the moment with her blood — plus, everyone is talking about Baker. Even if Tony Khan is signing all the legends, the biggest one is already here. Baker put AEW on the map, but those three letters are secondary to D.M.D.

Christian Cage was talking to the Varsity Blonds and Dante Martin. Dasha arrived and asked what they were chatting about. Christian said they were talking shop and he was giving them some advice.

Frankie Kazarian showed up and acted all offended that he hadn’t been greeted yet. He said he lives the “Outwork Everyone” gimmick and was wondering when Christian would actually start to live up to the “work” part. Christian said it starts next week and offered to wrestle Kazarian next week. Kazarian accepted, noting that Christian hadn’t wrestled in seven years.

**********

The Pinnacle (Cash Wheeler, Dax Harwood, & Shawn Spears) (w/ MJF, Wardlow, & Tully Blanchard) vs. Varsity Blonds (Griff Garrison & Brian Pillman Jr.) & Dante Martin

Garrison and Spears started off. The babyfaces controlled Spears in the corner with frequent tags, but Harwood eventually made a blind tag and downed Garrison with a lariat to take control. They got a taste of their own medison with a blind tag from Martin, who landed a springboard moonsault, forcing the Pinnacle to the floor.

Martin & the Blonds looked to land dives, but Wardlow stepped between as the Pinnacle regrouped into a commercial break. During the break, the Pinnacle regained control with an attack on the floor after Tully got involved.

Harwood cut off a comeback attempt from Martin with a big brainbuster, and Spears hit the C4 for the win.

– After the match, Wardlow hit his corner turnbuckle drop finisher on Garrison.

Tony Schiavone arrived to interview the Pinnacle. Wheeler said the Pinnacle isn’t just a group, they’re a family. Harwood called out Santana and Ortiz because the marquee says “professional wrestling.” MJF called out Chris Jericho and demanded he and the Inner Circle come out right now.

Schiavone tried to defend the Inner Circle, saying they were hurt two weeks ago, but MJF got in his face and said “when you’re in the Pinnacle, you’re always on top.”

QT Marshall was interviewed by Schiavone. He mentioned his wife in the crowd and said that aside from Tony Khan, nobody in the company works as hard as him. He then called out Cody Rhodes for his cushy life, getting to go to sleep next to his wife while Marshall works. Marshall wants to rid himself of the “Cody’s friend” tag, so he challenged Cody to a singles match.

Cody came out with his headset on and a sling around his arm. He said he would accomodate Marshall’s request with Arn Anderson as the referee. Cody patronizingly said that he’s not going to hurt Marshall — if he puts on the Figure Four, he’ll let it go. Cody than accepted the challenge, calling Marshall his best friend.

**********

The Lucha Bros, joined by Alex Abrahantes, cut a short video promo before the match.

Lucha Bros (Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fénix) & Laredo Kid defeated Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) & Brandon Cutler

This was an all-action tag with more dives than you can count.

Fénix and Nick started. They performed a choreographed sequence, matching each other move for move. Matt and Penta tagged in with a nice sequence of their own, then Cutler and Kid entered the match. Kid starched Cutler with a kick and a slap before taking him down with a tijeras. The Bucks then cut off Kid’s run with a double team before Fénix took both down with a springboard arm drag.

Penta crashed down on the pile on the outside with a step-up tope, then Cutler cut off a Fénix dive and landed one of his own. Kid concluded the run of dives with a top-rope Orihara moonsault to the floor. The Bucks hit a Made in Detroit for two as the match went to commercial.

A DDT allowed Kid to make his comeback after the break. Penta tagged in as the Lucha Bros hit stereo thrust kicks and an assisted splash for two. Kid tagged in with a springboard hurricanrana, Penta hit a diving foot stomp, and Fénix landed a senton atomico, but the pin attempt was broken up. Fénix then hit a step-up kick, but Nick countered the cutter into a big corner strike sequence.

Fénix and Nick traded super kicks until Fénix hit a heel hook and Nick hit a rebound lariat for the double down. Matt and Kid tagged in and traded right hands, but Matt countered a DDT attempt into a series of Northern Lights suplexes, taking Penta along for the ride on the last one. The Bucks then hit Risky Business and Cutler landed a springboard elbow drop for two.

Nick crushed Penta with a flipping senton to the floor, and Fénix was isolated in the ring for an Indytaker. Nick then hit an escalara dive to the outside and Matt took out Fénix with a springboard DDT, but Kid hit a top-rope Spanish Fly on Cutler for the win.

– After the match, Kenny Omega ran out and attacked Kid, his former AAA Mega Championship challenger. He took a mic and flashed back, acting unhinged. Omega said that three years ago, Omega made a choice to come to AEW because of the Young Bucks, with the mission of making it the best promotion on the planet — but the Bucks just chose Brandon Cutler.

Omega said that even if Callis comes off as a little abrasive, he’s gonna give them one more chance to do the Too Sweet. He said it was “now or never.” The Bucks then turned their backs on Omega. Omega turned around into superkicks and the tag team finisher of the Lucha Bros and was left alone in the ring until the Good Brothers ran out. Omega was bleeding from the mouth.

**********

A Jade Cargill video package played where she called out Red Velvet. She said Velvet was just a pit stop away from Cargill taking her thrown. They’re both undefeated, but Cargill looks like money and she’s damn good too. When Velvet steps in the ring with Cargill, she’ll be stepping in the ring with “that bitch.”

Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston spoke. Kingston said he broke something and that the Good Brothers and Omega would pay for this. Moxley asked how far they’re willing to take this and if they’re willing to get as bloody as he and Kingston are. Moxley doesn’t know or like the Young Bucks, but he owes them one after last week. If the Good Brothers are going to play the game, they better be willing to get their hands dirty.

**********

Tay Conti defeated Nyla Rose (w/ Vickie Guerrero)

There were some rough spots, but Conti’s offense looked great.

Rose immediately overpowered Conti with a slam. Conti tried to apply almost a seated octopus, but the two got tangled up and Conti was forced to adjust to an armbar. Conti landed repeated judo throws, but Rose came back with a spinebuster for two. Rose continued to use her power to maintain the advantage. She set Conti up for the draping diving knee strike off the top rope and nailed it for two ahead of a commercial break.

Back from commercial, Conti got the knees up on a senton and made her comeback with a series of corner knees. She then went for a hammerlock DDT, but Rose powered out. Conti dropped Rose into the ropes and hit a diving knee for two. She went to the top rope again, but Nyla avoided a dive and downed Conti with a lariat.

Rose went for the Beast Bomb, Conti rolled through, but there was some miscommunication on what looked like a cradle attempt. Once they regrouped, Conti landed more strikes and the DD-Tay, a hammerlock DDT, for the win.

– Rose and Guerrero looked to attack after the match, but Hikaru Shida ran out to make the save. The Bunny then ran out and attacked both Shida and Conti with the Matt Hardy stable looking on from the ramp.

Hardy called the Women’s Eliminator Tournament a sham because the Bunny wasn’t in it. He said his clients had been overlooked for far too long.

A Scorpio Sky video played. He said this isn’t a new side of him, just a side we haven’t seen. He will face Mike Sydal on next week’s AEW Dark: Elevation.

TNT Championship: Darby Allin (c) defeated John Silver (w/ Dark Order)

Despite some moments that didn’t quite stick, this was a big-time, high-impact main event and yet another great performance from both men.

They established Silver’s power advantage right away. After some chain wrestling, Silver just crashed into Darby, sending him all the way out of the ring. He followed it up with a massive biel from corner to corner, then a second right into the turnbuckle. He then exploded with a knee strike and a brainbuster for two.

Through a commercial break, Silver continued to dominate, with Allin just ragdolling all over the place. The fight spilled to the floor, where Allin avoided an attack, sending Silver over the barricade to the ringside area. Silver almost didn’t make it back to the ring, but Alan Angels took a bullet on a dive. Silver then followed it up with a German suplex on the floor.

Sting came out, I guess to even the odds against the Dark Order. With Silver and Allin both back in the ring, the challenger laid in strikes, but Allin rolled through with La Magistral for two. Silver countered the stunner into the rear naked choke, or Anna Jay’s finisher, the Queenslayer. Allin rolled out with a cradle, forcing Silver to break, but Silver then hit a DDT for two.

Silver rolled Allin back to the ring as the announcers mentioned that there were only a few minutes left in the TV time limit. Silver hit a big palm strike and blocked a cradle attempt into one of his own for a good near fall. Allin hit a standing Coffin Drop, but Silver sent Allin flying with a pump kick before hoisting him to the top rope.

Allin countered a superplex and went for a Coffin Drop on the Dark Order at ringside, somehow splatting on the floor anyway. Silver than landed a top-rope F5, but Allin’s feet were over the ropes on the pin attempt. He then set up for Mr. Brodie Lee’s powerbomb, but Allin turned it into a Code Red to win and retain.

– After the match, Matt Hardy pulled out Allin out of the ring and sent him into the barricade. Hardy’s associates all came out, leading to a free-for-all brawl as the show ended.

AEW Dynamite live results: Britt Baker vs. Thunder Rosa main event

Britt Baker vs. Thunder Rosa in a Lights Out match headlines tonight’s AEW Dynamite St. Patrick’s Day Slam.

Rosa teamed with AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida and Ryo Mizunami to defeat Baker, Maki Itoh and Nyla Rose on last week’s Dynamite, but Baker and Itoh beat Rosa and Riho at Revolution on March 7. Baker also beat Rosa in singles competition on the Beach Break edition of Dynamite on February 3.

Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston will tag against Impact Wrestling’s Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson).

Gallows and Anderson interfered in Moxley’s exploding barbed wire deathmatch against Kenny Omega for the AEW World title at Revolution. Kingston and Moxley then brawled with Omega, Gallows and Anderson on last week’s Dynamite.

Cody Rhodes will take on Penta El Zero Miedo in singles competition.

Rhodes and Penta were both participants in the Face of the Revolution ladder match at the PPV, then had a pull-apart on last week’s Dynamite after Penta threatened to injure Cody so badly that he would not be able to hold his unborn daughter.

Promos from Christian Cage and Sting have been advertised.

It is also expected that MJF’s new group with Wardlow, FTR, Shawn Spears and Tully Blanchard will officially be introduced tonight after making their debut last week.

Matt Hardy, Isiah Kassidy, Marq Quen, Butcher and Blade will face Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, Marko Stunt, Bear Boulder and Bear Bronson in a ten-man tag.

Rey Fenix will also take on Angelico, plus Jade Cargill will be in action.

Our coverage begins at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

**********

Ahead of the match, Penta and his translator Alex Abrihantes cut a short video promo.

Cody Rhodes (w/ Arn Anderson) defeated Penta El Zero Miedo

This was a very good opener with lots of high spots, even if the psychology of the match didn’t make much sense.

Penta took Cody out with a dive before the bell. They brawled on the floor, where Penta sent Cody into the ring post and Cody tossed Penta into the barricade. Back in the ring, Penta laid in hard overhand chops, but Cody fired up with a release suplex. Penta came back with a sling blade for two. Cody went for Cross Rhodes, but Penta powered out and hit a backstabber for another two.

Out on the floor, Penta grabbed a table and propped it up against the barricade. Cody stopped whatever Penta was planning and hit a top-rope hurricanrana in the ring. Penta focused his attack on Cody’s injured shoulder with kicks. Cody tried to press slam Penta out to the foor through the table, but Penta fought out, eventually falling victim to the Disaster Kick. Cody followed it up with a tope suicida into the table, which didn’t break.

Back in the ring, Penta laid in more chops but ran into a thrust kick and a destroyer. Cody then hit the Cody Cutter for a near fall. He followed it up with the Cross Rhodes, but Penta kicked out for a great near fall. Cody set Penta up for Din’s Fire and hit it, but Penta kicked out once again. Penta landed a hard slap but Cody slammed Penta’s leg into the ring post. He followed it up by locking on the figure four.

Eventually, Penta reached the ropes to break the hold. He hit his signature arm break spot but was rolled up by Cody for three.

– After the match, Penta attacked Cody’s shoulder but was chased off by Dustin Rhodes and the Gunn Club. As Penta walked out, QT Marshall appeared, but he was too late to make an impact.

**********

The Young Bucks were interviewed by Alex Marvez. Matt said that even though Rey Fénix has beaten both of them in singles competition, they’re the better tag team.

Don Callis showed up and taunted the Bucks, admitting that they never attacked him. He said there’s nothing more for the Bucks in AEW. The Bucks said that Callis’s influence changed Kenny Omega, and Callis said that’s because Omega is now God. He asked the Bucks to reflect on whether they’re the same team he saw in NJPW.

**********

Jade Cargill defeated Dani Jordyn

Jordyn hit an elbow after a standing switch but ran face-first into a boot. Cargill just tossed Jordyn with a German suplex before hitting Jaded, a wheelbarrow facebuster, for the win.

– After the match, Cargill taunted Red Velvet at ringside, who took a swing.

MJF introduces his new stable

My recap won’t do this segment justice. Tully and especially MJF were outstanding.

MJF and his new group walked out, including FTR, Wardlow, Shawn Spears, & Tully Blanchard. Tully spoke first and said it’s great to be in here with this group, because they took out the greatest stable in AEW last week. He said they’re the baddest group in the company and at the pinnacle of the sport. Tully started his career with the greatest group in wrestling, and he’s gonna finish his career with the greatest group in wrestling.

Tully handed the mic to MJF, who said it wasn’t easy to take a backseat to Chris Jericho, but it worked. His perceived takeover of the Inner Circle was just a ruse, because he wanted to defeat the strongest faction in AEW and build one even stronger in its remains.

Their group name is The Pinnacle, and MJF then went down the line in their group, highlighting all their accompishments. MJF said that when all is said and done, he’ll be the greatest of all time, and the Pinnacle will be the backbone of AEW for years to come. They will take what they want. MJF concluded by addressing Jericho, saying “I’m better than you, and you know it.”

**********

Matt Hardy, Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen), and The Butcher & The Blade (w/ The Bunny) defeated Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus & Marko Stunt) and Bear Country (Bear Boulder & Bear Bronson)

This match’s story was that Jurassic Express and Bear Country couldn’t work together while Hardy’s unit worked like a well-oiled machine.

Stunt started off taunting Hardy, who just kneed him. Stunt escaped a powerbomb and laid in a slap before tagging in Jungle Boy. The match broke down into a free-for-all, after which the babyface team stood tall. Bear Country tossed Stunt over the top rope onto the pile, nearly killing him. Boulder tried to take Quen down with a body slam, but he inadvertently took out Jungle Boy in the process.

With the match reset, Hardy and his team beat down Jungle Boy through a commercial break, where even the Bunny got involved. Back from break, Luchasaurus got the hot tag, where he took out every single opponent. He concluded his flurry with a chokeslam moonsault combination on Kassidy, but Butcher broke up the pin. Butcher took a headbutt and fired back with a lariat but was met by a dive from Stunt.

Boulder tagged in and hit an exploder suplex on Kassidy. Jurassic Express and Bear Country couldn’t work together, so Stunt tagged himself back in, where he was overwhelmed by Private Party. Stunt got a brief hope spot but was attacked by Hardy, allowing Private Party to hit Gin ‘n’ Juice. Hardy tagged in and hit the Twist of Fate for the win.

**********

A Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston video played. Moxley said he wanted to take the week off, but he’s gotta fight the Good Brothers. He mocked Talkin’ Shop-a-Mania and their appearances. Kingston got serious and said that AEW is their yard. He quoted 50 Cent and 2Pac before the video ended.

**********

Christian Cage was interviewed by Dasha about why he joined AEW. Christian said he’s not just a workhorse, he’s *the* workhorse in wrestling, just in case anyone forgot. The only spot in the roster he’s interested is the AEW World Championship. He said that Kenny Omega’s on borrowed time as champion, and his mission in AEW is to cement his legacy and outwork everyone.

**********

Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston defeated The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows)

The Good Brothers attacked Kingston during his entrance, and the two teams brawled all over before the match. The Brothers took out Moxley with a Magic Killer before the match finally got underway.

With the fight now two on one, the Good Brothers took turns beating down Kingston in the ring. Kingston fired up just as Moxley made his way back to the match, but Gallows sent Moxley to the floor with a boot and the Good Brothers continued their beatdown through a commercial break.

An exploder suplex from Kingston finally allowed him enough time to tag in Moxley for the hot tag. Moxley sent Anderson into the corner with a shotgun dropkick and fought off Gallows, who tried to get involved. He flattened Anderson with a lariat and followed it up with a piledriver for two. Moxley then took out Gallows with a tope suicida.

Anderson surprised Moxley with a spinebuster upon re-entry. The Good Brothers then hit double teams on both opponents, but Moxley kicked out at two. They set up for the Magic Killer, but Kingston broke it up as he and Gallows fought on the floor. Moxley then rolled Anderson up with an inside cradle for the win.

– Immediately after the match, the Good Brothers attacked and Kenny Omega’s music played. Omega and Callis emerged with the former carrying a chair. Kingston tried to save Moxley but was overwhelmed by the Good Brothers, who hit him with a Magic Killer.

They wrapped Kingston’s left leg in the chair and Pillmanized it with a stomp. They then tried to do the same to Moxley’s head, but the Young Bucks ran out to stop it. After some heated words, the Bucks refused a Too Sweet, and Moxley grabbed a chair to chase everyone away.

**********

Sting and Darby Allin interview

Tony Schiavone welcomed the two out, then asked Allin about the TNT Championship. Allin said he needs to defend the title more, and paid tribute to Brodie Lee by offering an open challenge to any member of the Dark Order.

Lance Archer and Jake Roberts interrupted, calling Allin an “indie-riffic joke.” Archer said he’d put Allin in a coffin. Roberts said the winds of change are coming and warned Sting not to play with fire.

Team Taz then interrupted, but Brian Cage took the mic and said he respects Sting and he’s still the Icon. Team Taz argued with Cage as they walked off.

Sting didn’t say a word that entire segment.

**********

A Scorpio Sky video package aired. He tried to be the exception to “nice guys finish last,” but he failed, so now he has to make his own moments.

**********

Rey Fénix (w/ PAC) defeated Angélico

They performed chain wrestling early on into a commercial break. Fénix made his comeback with a somersault cutter, but Angélico spun into the Navarro Death Roll, forcing Fénix to grab the ropes. Fénix rolled through with a wheelbarrow cradle, then the two exchanged high kicks. Fénix hit a crucifix bomb and the Fire Thunder Driver for the win.

**********

Miro was interviewed by Alex Marvez about the match challenge from Chuck Taylor and Kip Sabian. Miro said he’s moved on, but Kip Sabian walked up and said that he hasn’t moved on. Sabian brought up Miro inadvertently hurting Penelope, but Miro told him to stop letting her distract him. Sabian then accepted the challenge on behalf of them both.

**********

Alex Marvez interviewed the Dark Order about who would accept the open challenge. -1 wanted to try, but they eventually settled on John Silver.

**********

Next week on Dynamite:

  • Nyla Rose vs. Tay Conti
  • The Pinnacle (FTR & Shawn Spears) vs. Varsity Blonds & Dante Martin
  • TNT Championship: Darby Allin (c) vs. John Silver
  • Kenny Omega vs. Matt Sydal – if Sydal wins, he gets an AEW World Championship match

MJF and the Pinnacle took over the Inner Circle’s locker room.

Justin Roberts went over the rules for the main event: anything goes, falls count anywhere.

Unsanctioned Lights Out match: Thunder Rosa defeated Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. (w/ Rebel)

This was the best women’s match in AEW history and the best career match for both of these women. Must-see.

Rebel attacked Rosa with the crutch as the match started. Baker speared Rosa onto the ramp and hit an air raid crash, but the cover only got one. Hikaru Shida was shown looking on. Baker missed a chair shot and Rosa turned the tables with hard chair shots of her own.

Rosa sent Baker over the barricade into the ringside area. She propped Baker up on a chair, but Baker moved out of the way on a senton and Rosa went crashing through it. Baker tossed Rosa into some staging before she and Rebel set up a table. Rosa tried to regroup, but Baker stomped on her head on the steel steps. Baker started tossing chairs into the ring, then turned her attack back to Rosa, who had been busted open. Baker continued her beatdown into the commercial.

During the break, Rosa came back and tried to suplex Baker into a propped-up chair in the corner, but mostly missed. They fought on the top rope, where Baker hit a superplex onto a pile of chairs. Rebel pulled out a ladder, but she and Baker took too long, allowing Rosa to bulldog Baker’s face into the ladder for two.

Rosa landed double knees in the corner before trapping her opponent in the corner with the ladder. She dropkicked the ladder into Baker’s face before rolling to the floor and grabbing a table. Baker was busted open badly. Rosa bit at Baker’s face but ate a thrust kick and a flatliner into the ladder. They fought up top again, where Rosa hit a Death Valley driver onto the ladder for a near fall.

They traded strikes before Baker hit a DDT onto a chair. She followed it up with a curb stomp onto the chair for a near fall. Baker applied the glove, but before going for the Lockjaw, Rebel produced a bag of thumbtacks, which Baker proceeded to pour out in the center of the ring. Baker went for the swinging neckbreaker, but Rosa fought out and avoided a crutch shot from Rebel. She then cracked Rebel with the crutch and dropkicked her through a ringside table.

Rosa escaped a DVD attempt and powerbombed Baker onto the tacks for a great near fall. When Baker kicked out, she had tons of tacks in her back, which was a great visual. Baker locked on the Lockjaw, but Rosa rolled into the tacks, forcing Baker to break. Baker hit another thrust kick and brought Rosa onto the apron, where Rosa countered and hit a Fire Thunder Driver through the table for the win.

Dynamite has a new opening video package featuring footage from Revolution.

Rey Fénix (w/ PAC) defeated Matt Jackson (w/ Nick Jackson)

Not counting the BTE cinematic match, this was Matt’s first singles match since 2016. He should do more. This wasn’t quite as spectacular as the famous Nick Jackson vs. Fénix match, but it’s almost at that level.

Fénix dropped Matt with a dropkick as top-ranked SCU looked on from the stands. He kept up the advantage with a springboard offense, feinted on a dive, then took down Matt with a tijeras on the floor. A springboard headbutt sent Matt to the floor yet again, where Fénix landed both a diving armdrag and tope con giro.

The beatdown continued with chops, then the two exchanged more chops while both were standing on the second rope. Fénix tried to take Matt down with a hurricanrana, but Matt countered it into a powerbomb. A slingshot senton from Matt followed for two. Matt targeted Fénix’s back and hit a cazadora facebuster for two.

Matt applied the Sharpshooter, but Fénix forced his way out of it by reaching the ropes. He made his comeback with a springboard dropkick, but couldn’t follow up with the Death Valley driver. Fénix then hit a cutter to counter some running offense from Matt, leading to the double down.

The two traded right hands in the center of the ring, then Fénix hit a limb-trap slam for two. Matt tried to suplex Fénix out of the ring. Fénix tried to counter with his rope-walk kick, but Matt had it scouted and came into the ring with a destroyer. He then hit a second destroyer on the floor, where Fénix barely made it back into the ring to beat the count.

Matt landed a top-rope elbow drop for a near fall before re-applying the Sharpshooter. Fénix fought his way to the ropes again. Nick took a bullet for Matt, then Matt got revenge by superkicking PAC on the floor. They traded strikes once more before Matt flipped out of a German and landed superkicks. Fénix popped up with an enziguiri, and both men were down once more.

They traded strikes and fired off superkicks that met each other’s feet. Out of nowhere, Fénix hoisted Matt up for the Fire Thunder driver to pick up the win over a tag team champion.

**********

Eddie Kingston & Jon Moxley talked about the events at the end of Revolution. Kingston implied he had a panic attack because the last time he was that scared was when he was in jail. He then called out Omega, asking if it was a joke. Moxley spoke up and said he thought Omega tried to really blow them up, but they came to the agreement that Impact built it.

Moxley didn’t win the world championship, but he did win a drinking buddy back. He and Kingston then had some funny banter, before Moxley told Omega if he had a weapon, he better use it.

**********

Cody Rhodes (w/ Arn Anderson) defeated Seth Gargis

Gargis is a Dark talent with an 0-2 record. Cody hit an Alabama Stampede right away, then locked on the Figure Four leglock for the submission victory in under a minute.

– Tony Schiavone came out but his microphone wouldn’t work, so they did some schtick before they got one that worked. He asked Cody about his shoulder, but Penta El Cero Miedo interrupted and got someone to translate for him. He told Cody to shut up and that he’s a thousand times better than him. If Cody’s the “prince of pro wrestling,” then Penta’s the “lord of lucha libre.”

Penta changed to English. He said that Cody lost at Revolution, and had it been just Penta & Cody, he would have lost even more. He would’ve hurt Cody’s arm so bad that he wouldn’t be able to pick up his baby girl. Cody ran out and attacked Penta, leading to a pull-apart brawl.

**********

Chuck Taylor, with Orange Cassidy, cut a promo from an arcade. Chuck asked Miro for one more match, with the added stipulation that if they lose, Chuck goes back to being Miro’s butler forever. They then added the stipulation with lots of video game machinery at ringside.

**********

Schiavone introduced Sting. Sting said that Darby Allin is a dangerous man and a risk-taker. Lance Archer and Jake Roberts interrupted Sting’s interview time, with Archer saying that if things don’t change, he’s going to take much more than “time.” They left, and with that, the interview segment was over.

**********

They tried to show a QT Marshall and Lee Johnson interview, but technical difficulties with the show made it impossible to hear. Ethan Page did the same thing.

Ethan Page defeated Lee Johnson (w/ QT Marshall)

There was basketball audio playing during this match. It sounded like a TNT issue, but it was particularly bad because it persisted through a commercial break. That’s too bad, because Page looked good in his Dynamite debut and Johnson is supremely underrated.

They had a nice back-and-forth exchange to start. Page downed Johnson with a shoulder block heading into the commercial. During the break, Page targeted Johnson’s back with slams and backbreakers.

Johnson came back with a back elbow and a neckbreaker. He followed it up with a Blue Thunder bomb for two. They both went to the top rope, where Page dumped Johnson down with a body slam and sprung in with a cutter for a near fall. Johnson tried to leapfrog out but was favoring his knee. Page took advantage with a bicycle kick while the official checked on him, a clear heel move.

Page hit the Ego’s Edge, which is a Razor’s Edge, for the win.

– Page continued the beatdown after the match, and Marshall didn’t make any effort to save. Dustin Rhodes ran out to make the save as Marshall walked out of the building.

**********

Earlier today, Hangman Page was interviewed about how he’s spending Matt Hardy’s money. He bought whiskey, a saddle, lots of vinyl music (which he donated), and a new lawn mower. All the Dark Order showed up to ride on the lawn mower, but they wouldn’t let Alan Angels hop on as they took off to go get some ice cream.

**********

Schiavone began to introduce Christian Cage, but was interrupted by Kenny Omega’s “Cleaner” entrance. He was joined by Don Callis and the Good Brothers.

Callis said we’re not going to get to hear from the new signee, because they call the shots in AEW. He said that at everything at Revolution went according to plan, except one thing. They’re getting blamed for not delivering a giant explosion, but it made them very happy to take away what the fans wanted. They took away Moxley’s big hero moment and Kingston’s heroism. Callis called it a win-win; if the explosives go off, Moxley is maimed, but if not, Moxley looks like an idiot.

Omega said he was getting goosebumps imagining seeing Moxley get vaporized in a ring, but now, he will cherish the memory of not only beating Moxley, but humiliating him.

Kingston walked out, but before he could speak, Callis talked about seeing Kingston’s talent in Impact, but he had to fire him, because every time he got close to success, he’d screw it up. Callis gave Kingston ten seconds to retreat, then they mocked Kingston’s actions at the end of Revolution with the countdown. Omega asked what Kingston hopes to accomplish and challenged Kingston to hit him.

Once Kingston obliged, he was immediately attacked by the Good Brothers, then Moxley ran out and he and Kingston cleaned house. Another countdown aired on the video board, and it was Christian Cage, who stared off with Omega. Omega tried to cheap shot Christian, but Christian had it scouted, and Callis pulled Omega out of the ring. Christian then picked up the AEW World Championship.

**********

Hikaru Shida, Ryo Mizunami, & Thunder Rosa vs. Nyla Rose (w/ Vickie Guerrero), Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. (w/ Rebel), & Maki Itoh

The teams brawled before the match as Itoh performed her singing entrance. She smashed Shida with the microphone, and then the match was underway.

Itoh immediately missed a Kokeshi but was able to do her “cutest in the world” schtick. Shida fought her off and tagged in Mizunami, who did her rope-pull schtick and downed Itoh with a clothesline. Rosa and Rose tagged in, where Rosa laid in kicks and strikes, but a distraction from Guerrero allowed Rose to hit a lariat ahead of the commercial break.

The heels beat down Rosa throughout the break. Shida tried to come back, attempting to suplex her partner onto Baker, but they completely whiffed. We got a parade of big moves, concluded with Rosa dropkicking Rose out of the ring. The rivals Baker and Rosa were the only ones left, but Rosa easily dispatched her opponent.

Rosa landed a tornado dive onto the pile. She tried to roll Itoh back into the ring, but Guerrera pulled Rosa’s leg upon re-entry, and Itoh barely made it back around for the swinging DDT. Rebel tried to interfere with the crutch, but Rosa sent her packing and caught Itoh with a Fire Thunder driver for the win.

– After the match, Baker immediately attacked Rosa with the crutch and locked on the Lockjaw.

**********

Matt Hardy was with Private Party. He was disappointed about the match, but he has more than enough money to fund this empire. He then introduced the newest additions to the team: Butcher, Blade, and Bunny.

**********

TNT Championship: Darby Allin (c) defeated Scorpio Sky

This was very good, with some cool counter sequences. Allin destroyed himself as always.

They showed respect before the bell. Neither man could establish a strong advantage early on as they performed chain wrestling. Sky would occasionally sell frustration as Allin would out-wrestle him at points. It got heated after a lax rope break from Allin.

Allin sent Sky to the floor, but Sky avoided a dive. Upon re-entry, Allin tried to flip up into the ring, but hurt his leg and was knocked down with a forearm, allowing Sky to take control. Despite the leg injury, Sky opted to target Allin’s back during the heat segment.

Sky went for a sunset flip, but Allin countered it into a cradle for two. Sky immediately followed it up with a strong right hand, dropping Allin to the mat. Allin turned another attempt into a stunner for two. Allin then hit Code Red for a good near fall. He was met with a big boot from Sky, who kept up the offense with repeated German suplexes. Allin tried to escape, but Sky hit another German into the turnbuckle.

Allin sent Sky to the floor and went for a tope suicida, but Sky turned it into a cutter on the floor. Back in the ring, Sky hit a brainbuster for two. Allin fired up and went for the Coffin Drop, but Sky turned it into a powerbomb. Sky then went for the TKO, but Allin locked on a small package to win and retain the title.

– Allin tried to show respect after the match, but Sky attacked and locked on a heel hook. Sky wouldn’t release it as Allin frantically tapped, and officials had to come out to try and break it up.

Inner Circle War Council

This was a phenomenal show-closing angle setting up months’ worth of main event programs.

The group out there was Chris Jericho, MJF, Jake Hager, Santana, and Ortiz — no Wardlow.

Jericho said the Inner Circle’s been in a little bit of a decline recently, but it can easily be remedied, because they are the smartest in the business today. He teased adding a new member, but MJF interrupted and said it was time to let somebody go.

Sammy Guevara’s music played and he walked out. He addressed Jericho and said he needed Jericho to see something. Jericho wasn’t having it, but Guevara fired up and practically begged Jericho to look at it.

A video played on the video board. Guevara had hidden a camera showing MJF planning to oust Jericho from the Inner Circle. MJF told the Inner Circle to attack Jericho and Guevara, but they all turned around, and Jericho told MJF to shut up. MJF is out of the Inner Circle as Jericho shoved him down and fired him. MJF begged them not to beat him up, but said he was building his own group.

The lights went out and FTR, Tully Blanchard, Shawn Spears, and Wardlow appeared in the ring. Harwood smashed a bottle over Hager’s head and Spears Pillmanized Guevara with a chair. Wardlow hit Jericho with his chokehold kneelift finisher, and FTR hit Santana and Ortiz with their Tully spike piledriver. MJF hit Jericho with the Dynamite diamond ring, bloodying him, and attacked him with his own bat. Finally, Wardlow powerbombed Jericho off the stage through two tables.

Show Report —

Before the opener, a video package aired recapping the feud from start to finish.

Shaquille O’Neal & Jade Cargill defeated Cody Rhodes & Red Velvet

This was so much better than it had any right to be. All four competitors should be commended for making it work.

Cody and Shaq started. They locked up right away, but Shaq was able to easily push his way out of an arm wringer. Shaq pumped up the crowd and performed a little jig. Cody forced him into a corner and laid in right hands, but Shaq turned it around with a frying pan chop. He then countered Cody running the ropes with a back body drop.

Shaq continued the offense with more overhand chops, then Cargill tagged herself in, as did Velvet. They wrestled around until Cargill downed Velvet with a bicycle knee. Velvet fought back with kicks but was overpowered once again by Cargill. Velvet landed a diving crossbody, but Cargill rolled through and downed Velvet with a fallaway slam.

Cargill provoked Cody into knocking Shaq off the apron, where he was met with a chair shot from Austin Gunn. Shaq ran wild on the Nightmare Family, including both Gunn children and QT Marshall. The camera panned over, where Velvet landed an Orihara moonsault onto Cody and Cargill on the floor.

Back in the ring, Cargill locked in the figure four on Velvet. After a long fight, she released the hold and taunted before heading to the floor. Cargill pulled out a table and set it up on the floor, but took too long, allowing Velvet to attack. Velvet then pulled out a table of her own and set it up right next to the first one.

Velvet scored a cyclone kick on Velvet and tagged in Cody, which meant Shaq had to come in too. Shaq called for a test of strength, but Cody booted him in the gut. Shaq hit a knee lift and then a nice powerbomb on Cody, but Cody hit the Rhodes right hand and was able to slam Shaq for two.

The women tagged in and traded strikes in the middle of the ring. After a long exchange, Velvet ran into a Cargill spinebuster and covered, but Cody broke up the count.

In one of the most ridiculous spots I’ve ever seen on television, Cody then dove over the top rope, taking out Shaq, and both crashed through the tables on the floor.

Velvet then hit a spear on Cargill for a close near fall. She tried to follow it up, but Cargill overpowered Velvet with a wheelbarrow facebuster for the win.

– During the commercial break, Shaq was loaded into an ambulance. However, it cut to Tony Shiavone, who tried to interview, and when the ambulance doors opened, Shaq was gone.

PAC & Rey Fénix defeated John Skyler & D3

This only went a minute or two. Skyler and D3 are Dark talent and they didn’t get a single bit of offense as PAC and Fénix threw bomb after bomb. The 450 from PAC and the Fire Thunder Driver from Fénix finished it.

Inner Circle Press Conference

The press conference was moderated by Dasha, and Jericho and MJF were joined by Santana, Ortiz, and Wardlow. Someone asked a question, but it wasn’t mic’d up correctly and we couldn’t hear it. Jericho talked about his career accomplishments, including being a seven-time world tag team champion. None of his partners are better than MJF, however.

Conrad Thompson was next, and the mic worked this time. He asked about the chance of Sammy Guevara coming back to the Inner Circle, so Jericho and MJF exploded on him and sent him packing. The next question was why they attacked the Young Bucks’ father last week. MJF said it was an act of self-defense, and he was upset because his suit got all bloody. He then said it wasn’t his idea. Santana took the mic and said there wasn’t a line that the Inner Circle wouldn’t cross.

Eric Bischoff asked the next question, specifically to Jericho. He asked if he knew the condition of Papa Buck, then asked how stupid it was to give more motivation to the Bucks. Jericho said they don’t know Papa Buck’s condition, and they don’t care.

The Young Bucks then interrupted. They talked about how their dad is the greatest person in the world, and everything he taught them — everything Jericho and MJF’s parents’ apparently didn’t teach them. It was those teachings that allowed the Bucks to help create AEW, which are the only reasons MJF and Jericho are currently in high profile wrestling positions.

The Bucks then landed superkicks on Jericho and MJF, then an all-out brawl ensued with the Inner Circle, The Good Brothers, Brandon Cutler, referees, and backstage officials getting involved. Santana and Ortiz were placed on tables, and both of the Bucks landed sentons on them, putting them through the tables.

A video package for Kenny Omega vs. Jon Moxley played. It focused on the background and brutality of the Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch. Atsushi Onita, innovator of this match, was a part of the video.

FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) & Tully Blanchard (w/ J.J. Dillon) defeated Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, & Marko Stunt)

There was so much NWA nostalgia in this great tag match, but modernized for a current audience.

This was Tully Blanchard’s first match since 2007. He came out with the old silver NWA United States title.

All six men squared off at the bell before Jungle Boy and Harwood were the two left in the ring. Jungle Boy dispatched both of FTR with dropkicks before immediately going for the Snare Trap submission. Harwood was too close the ropes, and Wheeler pulled Jungle Boy to the floor, where he fell victim to another Snare Trap.

While Jungle Boy and Wheeler wrestled on the floor, Dillon slipped Harwood his shoe, where a shot to Jungle Boy got two. Tully tagged in and teased making a dive, but he thought the better of it and strutted away heading into the commercial break, where the heels continued their beatdown of Jungle Boy.

Wheeler went for a corner splash but fell into a boot from Jungle Boy, allowing Luchasaurus to tag in. The dinosaur ran wild on FTR, and then he tossed Stunt into Tully for a crossbody. Luchasaurus then hit a double German suplex before going for a chokeslam, which Harwood escaped out of. Harwood then avoided a corner spear, sending Luchasaurus into the post.

Jungle Boy topped Harwood from going to the top rope, sending him into Luchasaurus for two. Wheeler pulled Luchasaurus to the floor and hit a swinging DDT, then FTR hit a superplex frog splash combination on Jungle Boy for two. Wheeler then hit repeated suplex bridges, but one was interrupted with a Stunt splash. Tully hit his signature slingshot suplex on Stunt.

Tully and Luchasaurus faced off in the ring, where Luchasaurus landed the Tail Whip kick. Jurassic Express hit their tag team finisher, the Thoracic Express, but Wheeler kicked out. Jungle Boy tried to land a dive on Harwood and Tully, but a cameraman got in the way and then attacked Luchasaurus with the camera.

FTR and Tully then hit the assisted spike piledriver, with Tully pinning Luchasaurus for the win.

– After the match, the cameraman unmasked, and it was a returning Shawn Spears. Arn Anderson briefly appeared on the ramp, flashing four fingers.

Tony Schiavone announced that his co-host for the new AEW Dark: Elimination show is the newly signed Paul Wight. Wight came out and jokingly asked if anyone saw this “turn” coming before emphasizing how happy he is to be here. He then said that he has a big scoop: this Sunday at Revolution, AEW is going to sign a Hall of Fame-worthy talent.

AEW Women’s Eliminator Tournament Finals: Ryo Mizunami defeated Nyla Rose (w/ Vickie Guerrero)

This was the third very good match of the show, a fitting tournament final. Some of Mizunami’s schtick didn’t really stick, but when she gets going, it’s pretty spectacular.

After being absent for most of Rose’s tournament matches, Guerrero returned to manage Rose in this match.

They had a strong style shoulder block battle to start before trading forearms. Rose got the first knockdown of the match with her own shoulder tackle. She went for a quick Beast Bomb, but Mizunami powered out of it and laid in machine gun chops in the corner. Mizunami then did her rope gimmick, concluding with a corner clothesline as always.

Rose easily flattened Mizunami with a flipping senton for two, then a powerslam for another two into the break. Mizunami got a couple brief hope spots, but Rose would always cut her off with her power as women’s champion Hikaru Shida was shown looking on.

Mizunami rolled out of the way of Rose’s senton bomb and fired up. She sent Rose to the apron and then tackled her out of the ring. Rose regained the advantage, but had her legs swept out and took a hard fall on the apron. Mizunami then landed the apron leg drop that allowed her to beat Kong by countout. The official reached the count of nine, but Rose rolled into the ring, where she was immediately met with another leg drop for two.

Rose weathered strikes from Mizunami and landed short lariats of her own. After a hard lariat, Rose hit a Death Valley driver for two. She draped Mizunami over the top rope and hit the diving knee drop, but Mizunami kicked out as Guerrero screamed on the floor. Rose tried to keep up the offense with the Beast Bomb, but Mizunami fought back with an exploder.

Mizunami then climbed the ropes but was met by Rose, who hit a superplex for two. Mizunami fired up with a German suplex and a spear before hitting another guillotine leg drop to win the tournament and advance to face Hikaru Shida at Revolution.

– After the match, Shida presented Mizunami with her trophy, but Mizunami wanted to keep fighting and exchanging forearms. They smiled at each other as Shida posed with her belt.

Tony Schiavone brought out Sting for an interview. Sting said his preparation evolves every single week, as he found out he wasn’t ready when Brian Cage powerbombed him through the ring. But now that he’s shaken off the rust, Sting feels like he’s ready for a street fight.

Ricky Starks interrupted alone and admitted that he’s seen some fire from Sting, and that Sting’s still got it. However, he still stands behind what he said, which is that Sting isn’t an icon. He then slapped Sting, who beat up Starks in return with a Stinger Splash and the Scorpion Deathlock.

Powerhouse Hobbs and HOOK ran in to break it up, then Cage and Taz made their way out, where Cage put Sting in powerbomb position. Allin then ran out and put Cage in a sleeper, allowing Sting to land another Stinger Splash. Allin followed it up with a shotgun dropkick as Team Taz regrouped on the ramp.

Scorpio Sky, who is in the Revolution ladder match, joined commentary for this match. He wasn’t that engaging, affecting a strange heelish tone.

Preston “10” Vance (w/ -1) vs. Max Caster in a Revolution Ladder Match Qualifier

Caster did his rapping gimmick and 10 had to hold -1 back ahead of the match.

10 rolled Caster up right away for two. They had a back and forth exchange where 10 landed a running crossbody for a near fall. He followed it up with ten right hands in the corner before clotheslining Caster out of the ring. Caster took control on the floor before rolling 10 back into the ring as the show went to commercial.

They recovered from a double down coming back from break and 10 immediately went into his comeback. He hit a spinebuster on Caster before landing a slingshot spear for two. Caster took 10 down with an arm drag and hit a nice brainbuster before going for Acclaim 2 Fame, where 10 rolled out of the way.

10 brought Caster back in the hard way with a powerbomb, but Caster put his foot on the ropes during the cover. With the official distracted, Jack Evans, of all people, whacked 10 with the boom box, and Caster covered for the win.

Caster acted like he didn’t know what happened, but Hardy showed up as it appeared to be part of his mission to take out the Dark Order.

Hangman Page & John Silver defeated Matt Hardy & Marq Quen

Hardy landed a cheap shot on Silver early on, allowing his team to take control. Page tagged in and tried to lariat Hardy, but Hardy tossed Silver in the way, and Page stopped himself just in time. Quen tagged in ahead of the commercial break but was pounded in the corner by Page. The match layout here was odd, as the babyfaces controlled the action most of the way.

Back from break, Silver got tied in the ropes and Hardy sent him crashing down with a Side Effect on the apron. Hardy and Quen beat down Silver with frequent tags. Silver finally escaped for the hot tag to Page, who easily took control on Quen while continuing to try to go after Hardy. Quen took out Page’s knees, but inadvertently kicked Hardy on the follow up.

Page took advantage with a fallaway slam on Quen and a plancha onto Hardy on the floor. Quen stomped Page upon re-entry to the ring but was caught with a Death Valley Driver. Page tossed Quen into the corner, demanding that Hardy tag in, but Hardy wouldn’t do it. Quen was able to kick out Page’s knee and tag in Hardy, who called for the Twist of Fate. Page countered it with a back suplex before Silver tagged in.

Silver immediately crushed Hardy with a spear before laying in kicks and a brainbuster, but Hardy kicked out at two. Quen took out Page, Hardy downed Silver with a back suplex, and Quen landed a missile dropkick. Silver was able to tag in Page, and the two effortlessly worked together with a big sequence of moves on Quen, concluded with the Buckshot Lariat for the win. Hardy had a chance to break up the pin, but wouldn’t.

– After the match, Hardy attacked Page with the microphone and laid in shots with it in between cutting a promo on him. The rest of the Dark Order came out to make the save as -1 directed traffic on the stage. The rest of the teams in the Casino Battle Royal came out for a brawl with dozens of people involved as the show went off the air.

Show Recap —

Before the match, a brief Nemeth promo aired.

Jon Moxley defeated Ryan Nemeth

Moxley immediately shrugged off a grapple attempt and slapped Nemeth down. He laid in crossface strikes but fell victim to a cross chop and knees. Moxley came back with a backdrop suplex before turning his attention to Nemeth’s right hand with stomps and wrenches.

Nemeth took some chops but fought back with a dropkick. Moxley was unfazed and hit the Paradigm Shift out of nowhere for the decisive victory.

– After the match, Moxley grabbed a chair and a mic and sat down in the middle of the ring. He said that since he lost the AEW championship, he’s known that he’ll do whatever it takes to get it back.

He asked what images come to mind when you hear the words “Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch.” Fire, blood, burns, torture, agony, and vintage Japanese wrestling magazines. Do they make you feel revolted and disgusted? Or do you get a sick thrill?

Moxley said he’s addicted to being in this ring and laying his soul bare each and every night. The thought of the exploding barbed wire deathmatch is too attractive, it pulls him in. Omega followed a long, sad line of guys that tried to take him out, but win, lose, or draw, everyone watching will know that Moxley gave everything he had. If it comes to an end on pay-per-view, then that’s a hell of a way to go out.

That was one of Moxley’s best promos yet in AEW, which is saying something, considering he’s the Wrestler of the Year.

They played last week’s video where the upcoming Archer-Fénix match was announced.

Even though they had great chemistry, Archer said that he’ll easily beat Fénix next week. Fénix shot back in Spanish, saying Archer was the worst partner he ever had, and then they brawled.

The Young Bucks took a photo with their parents in front of a truck with their images on it.

Taz joined commentary for this match.

Team Taz (Ricky Starks & Brian Cage) defeated Varsity Blonds (Griff Garrison & Brian Pillman Jr.)

The Blonds controlled Starks early on until a drop-down tripped Starks out of the ring. Pillman followed it up with a nice diving dropkick for two. Pillman tried to follow it up, but Starks knocked him off on a springboard attempt and then Cage powerbombed him into the ring post ahead of the break.

Team Taz controlled the action throughout the commercial, isolating Pillman on their side of the ring. Starks landed a missile dropkick for two before tagging in Cage. Starks hit a cheap shot on Garrison, but the misdirection allowed Garrison to get the hot tag.

Garrison ran wild, concluding with a great tope on Cage to the floor. Pillman landed a springboard clothesline and then the Blonds hit a doomsday dropkick for two. The Blonds were cut off with a spear from Starks and a spinebuster from Cage, who finished Pillman off with the Drill Claw.

– After the match, the lights went out and a video played of Darby Allin emerging from the body bag. Sting’s music then played, and he made his entrance with a body bag in tow. Sting opened the bag and it was HOOK inside.

Sting then pointed at the rafters, and Allin zip-lined into the ring as the two beat down Cage and Starks. We got vintage Sting, hitting the Stinger Splash and the Scorpion Death Drop. Sting and Allin stood tall as Team Taz licked their wounds.

Tony Schiavone interviewed Kip Sabian, Penelope Ford, & Miro about the wedding. Sabian was mad that this interview is even taking place, because Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor ruined the wedding.

Miro said that he wants to wrestle Cassidy, but Chuck (Charles) is a different story. He said that Charles can come back to him and be his butler, but the interview was interrupted with a note asking if Miro and Sabian would wrestle them at Revolution. Miro said it was childish and challenged Charles to be a man before chewing up the note.

***********

Jake Hager defeated Brandon Cutler

No Inner Circle with Hager for this one. Cutler surprised Hager at the bell with some right hands, but Hager used his strength to hit a wheelbarrow German suplex. After hitting a second, Hager continued the beatdown with a big boot. The Hager bomb followed, but Hager wouldn’t cover.

Cutler landed a couple kicks to make a comeback and sent Hager to the floor. He followed it up with a tope suicida and a tope con hilo, but Hager caught him on a springboard upon re-entry with a powerslam. Hager then flattened Cutler with a running lariat for the quick victory.

– Santana, Ortiz, and Wardlow ran out after the match and beat down Cutler. The Young Bucks made the save and grabbed a mic. Matt said they didn’t have to wait until Revolution and demanded that MJF and Chris Jericho come out to the ring right here, right now.

Jericho’s music hit, but it was a ruse, as they appeared on the video board. It was revealed that they had attacked Papa Buck, who was busted open. They then threw him into the truck from earlier, smearing blood all over images of the Bucks. Jericho said they better call a doctor, and they’d see the Bucks at Revolution. The Bucks ran in to make the save and Matt nearly caught up to Jericho and MJF, but they sped away in a vehicle.

After the commercial break, they loaded Papa Buck into an ambulance.

A video played hyping next week’s Cody Rhodes & Red Velvet vs. Shaquille O’Neal & Jade Cargill match.

Hangman Page defeated Isiah Kassidy (w/ Matt Hardy & The Hybrid2)

This was a long match and a nice showcase for Kassidy, who looked good in a major singles contest.

Page attacked Kassidy before the bell and laid in hard shots right away. He caught a running crossbody and tossed Kassidy with a fallaway slam. Kassidy used evasive maneuvers to take advantage when Page tried to pursue, but Page regained control with a lariat.

Kassidy booted Page and went for a second-rope move, but Page returned the favor with a boot of his own. Page then landed a plancha and clotheslined Kassidy into the crowd. He set up to powerbomb Kassidy into a ringside table, but Kassidy escaped into the ring. A TH2 distraction allowed Hardy to send Page into the ring post.

John Silver and Alex Reynolds ran out to plead Page’s case, and the official ejected Hardy from ringside. Kassidy still had control, however, beating down Page in the corner. Kassidy maintained control through a commercial.

Back from break, Kassidy had been targeting Page’s right arm. Page wrenched Kassidy’s arm through the rope, but Kassidy caught him with a forearm on the Buckshot Lariat attempt. Page sprung in with a rolling elbow for two. Kassidy hit a cyclone kick, but Page came back with a Death Valley Driver.

Kassidy avoided the sliding lariat but fell victim to a brainbuster for another near fall. Kassidy caught a boot and hit a sequence of moves that concluded with a reverse hurricanrana for two. Immediately after the pin, Kassidy tried to apply an armbar, but Page reached the ropes.

Page attempted his springboard lariat, but Kassidy countered it by pulling his arm into the ropes. Kassidy then went for a springboard destroyer, but Page caught it and hit the Deadeye for the pin.

– After the match, Hardy cut a promo over the P.A. and said he’d hurt the Dark Order that Page cares so much about. He emerged from the ramp with Alan “5” Angels in tow and tossed him through a ringside table.

**********

Alex Marvez caught up to Kenny Omega and Don Callis, who were in the process of building something called a “Moxley extermination chamber.” Omega got excited about the violence and sent Marvez out of there.

This didn’t really work, because they made the baffling production decision to have deafeningly loud saws going at the same time Omega was trying to speak.

They recapped Monday’s AEW Women’s Eliminator Tournament matches.

AEW Women’s Eliminator Tournament Second Round: Nyla Rose defeated Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.

They both worked really hard but this wasn’t good. Some of the near falls at the end worked but the Rebel interference is terrible, go-away heat.

Rose overpowered Baker with body slams at the start. Baker threw a fit at ringside, knocking things over, and upon re-entering the ring, Rose crushed her with a Samoan Drop and a press slam. Baker rolled to the floor again, but was playing possum as she pulled Rose’s shoulder into the post.

Baker continued to target Rose’s arm during the break. She also pulled off the turnbuckle pad. Once back, Rose hit a superplex, but Baker countered the follow-up with a suplex into the corner. Baker laid in forearms but was downed with strikes from Rose. Rose climbed the ropes, but was distracted by Rebel, so Rose flattened her with a uranage.

The distraction wasn’t enough for Baker to take advantage as Rose hit a neckbreaker for two. Baker booted Rose and got the surgical glove from Rebel, but ran into a chokeslam. Rebel entered the ring and fell victim to a cannonball, but Baker took advantage and attempted to apply the Lockjaw. After a long fight, Rose powered out with a slam for two.

Rose messed with the turnbuckle pad, and the distractoin allowed Baker to roll Rose up for two. Baker then laid in thrust kicks and hit a crucifix bomb for a close two. Rose fought her way out of the Lockjaw again and starched Baker with a right hand before hitting the Beast Bomb, but Baker kicked out.

Baker missed a superkick and Rose hit a second Beast Bomb for the win. She will face the winner of Riho vs. Thunder Rosa this Sunday.

Lance Archer (w/ Jake Roberts) defeated Rey Fénix

This was a disappointing match. It wasn’t bad, and in fact was spectacular at times, but it felt more like a collection of athletic moves than a cohesive wrestling match.

The winner of this match receives a spot in the Revolution ladder match for a TNT Championship shot.

They had a mildly awkward choreographed exchange at the bell before Fénix downed Archer with a tijeras. Archer countered a handspring kick and just slapped Fénix down. Fénix sent Archer to the floor and hit his crazy tope suicida, landing in the crowd.

Fénix tried to follow it up, but Roberrts knocked Fénix off the top rope as the official checked on Archer. Fénix then barely made it to Archer on a dive off the stage. He tried to lay in strikes on the floor, but Archer overpowered him with big chops.

During the break, Fénix avoided a charging move from Archer, who went headfirst into the post. Archer regained control by battering the luchador with strong right hands. Fénix tried to fight back with chops, but Archer shrugged them off and powerslammed Fénix on the apron.

Archer continued the beatdown on the floor with a flipping senton into the barricade. Back in the ring, Archer flattened Fénix with a release vertical suplex. Fénix fought out of Blackout and hit a tiger feint kick to Archer’s abdomen, following it up with a diving foot stomp, which sent Archer to the mat.

Fénix couldn’t capitalize, so Archer crushed him with a release German. He followed it up with his spectacular rope-walk moonsault for two. Fénix tried to fight back with chops but was speared into the corner by Archer. Archer walked into a boot and took a gamenguiri before Fénix walked the ropes and landed a kick for two.

Archer avoided a moonsault but Fénix seamlessly transitioned into a cutter for two. Archer popped up and hit a fisherman’s buster for two. He tried for a top-rope chokeslam, but Fénix countered it into a Spanish Fly for a close near fall. Fénix laid in strikes but ran right into a pounce. Archer chokeslammed Fénix for a close near fall as we ran up against television time.

As we neared the time-limit draw, Archer hit Blackout to win and advance to Revolution.

AEW Dynamite live results: Tag Team title match

The Young Bucks will put their AEW World Tag Team Championships on the line tonight, taking on Santana and Ortiz.

The Bucks had been set to defend the titles against Chris Jericho and MJF at Revolution on March 7, but The Good Brothers pointed out in a backstage segment last week that Santana and Ortiz had eliminated them from the tag team battle royale the week prior. Matt Jackson then said that they would put the titles up this week.

Jon Moxley will team with Lance Archer and Rey Fenix against Eddie Kingston, The Butcher and The Blade. Moxley and Archer also teamed on last week’s Dynamite in a losing effort against KENTA and Kenny Omega.

The AEW Women’s World title eliminator tournament will continue as Riho makes her AEW return after 11 months away due to travel restrictions. She will take on Serena Deeb in a first round match.

Hangman Page and Matt Hardy will team up again, this time against The Hybrid 2. This was originally announced as an eight-man with Hangman, Hardy and Private Party vs. TH2 and Chaos Project. Hardy managed Private Party in a losing effort at Saturday’s Impact Wrestling No Surrender event. Hardy berated Private Party after their loss and the story continued on this week’s Being The Elite, where Hardy refused to answer Private Party’s phone calls.

A segment with Sting calling out Team Taz, plus FTR vs. Matt Sydal and Mike Sydal and Orange Cassidy vs. Luther have also been announced for tonight.

Our live coverage begins at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

“Hangman” Adam Page & Matt Hardy defeated TH2 (Angélico & Jack Evans)

TH2 immediately took the fight to Page, but the Hangman fought them off and tagged in Hardy, who hit a neckbreaker for two. Page re-entered with a running Shooting Star Press for another two. Page and Hardy continued to dominate until Angélico made a blind tag and kicked Hardy after a BT bomb.

Evans stomped Hardy into a sidewalk slam for two. Hardy tried to make his comeback but Evans, the illegal competitor, continued to attack him.

Hardy avoided a clothesline and hit a Side Effect, buying him enough time to reach Page for the hot tag. Page flattened Angélico with a spinebuster and sent Evans to the floor with a springboard clothesline. He concluded the flurry of offense with a fallaway slam and a plancha.

Angélico blocked a clothesline, but Page was able to hit a brainbuster for two. Page hit a pop up powerbomb on Angélico, then countered an Evans dive into another powerbomb.

Page went for the Buckshot Lariat, but Hardy tagged himself in and fell victim to a TH2 double team. Evans mostly landed a Phoenix Splash for a near fall. Hardy avoided a standing 450 and both of TH2 ran into the Buckshot, allowing Hardy to hit Twist of Fate for the win.

– After the match, Hardy grabbed a mic and asked the fans to cheer Page. He said Page looked like a billion bucks, and he’s excited for Page to make a lot of money, because he will get 30% of it.

Page brought out the Jaguars’ mascot to look over the contract, hinting that he switched it out last week. The contract isn’t for talent representation, it’s for a match: Page vs. Hardy at Revolution. If Page wins, he gets all of Hardy’s earnings for Q1 2021.

Hardy proposed that if he beats Page, he gets all of Page’s earnings for the same time period. Page accepted, and they shook hands, but the mascot attacked Page and unmasked as Isiah Kassidy.

TH2 joined the beatdown of Page, but the entire Dark Order, including -1, ran out to make the save. Alan “5” Angels was left in the ring with Hardy, but Hardy dispatched him and just barely avoided a Buckshot Lariat from Page. Hardy and Kassidy retreated as Page celebrated with the Dark Order.

Alex Marvez interviewed Santana and Ortiz, flanked by the entire Inner Circle, about getting their first tag title shot. They said that it took this long because the tag division was scared.

MJF said that Sammy Guevara crossed the line last week, despite all the evidence to the contrary. Jericho asked MJF to shut up, because everyone saw him goading Guevara into quitting the Inner Circle.

Jericho said this was all MJF’s fault, but it’s also Guevara’s fault. When you walk out on the Inner Circle, you walk out on Chris Jericho, and now Guevara is dead to him. He said that Santana and Ortiz would win the tag titles later tonight.

AEW Women’s Eliminator Tournament Round 1: Riho defeated Serena Deeb

This was Riho’s first AEW match since March of last year, and it was fantastic, maybe Riho’s best match as part of AEW.

They grappled at the start, with neither competitor gaining an advantage. Deeb won a test of strength, but Riho maintained a perfect bridge throughout. Deeb downed Riho with a shoulder block, but Riho bridged out of the pinfall and landed a dropkick.

Riho landed a jumping body press for two before dropping Deeb into the ropes. Deeb caught the tiger feint kick and catapulted Riho neck-first into the ropes. She maintained control throughout a commercial break.

Deeb locked on a straitjacket, but Riho broke free and hit a dragon suplex. Riho laid in corner forearms, but Deeb turned it around and hit a series of uppercuts. Riho kicked out of the corner and landed a running hurricanrana.

Riho escaped a brainbuster and downed her opponent with a dropkick before landing a diving crossbody. Deeb rolled through and targeted Riho’s left leg. Riho tried to evade the attack, but Deeb cornered her and hit a dragon screw.

Deeb hit a big swinging neckbreaker for a close near fall. Riho held onto Deeb’s leg, but dropped it and instead opted for more forearms. She sent Deeb into the ropes and hit the tiger feint kick before landing a diving foot stomp.

Riho hit a diving crossbody for two, and Deeb rolled out of the ring. Riho brought Deeb back into the ring, but Deeb caught her upon re-entry with a dragon screw. Deeb then hit a powerbomb and locked on a stretch muffler, but Riho turned it into an inside cradle for two.

A Northern Lights suplex from Riho got two, and then Riho stuffed Deeb with a diving foot stomp for a great near fall. Deeb avoided the running knee strike, Deeb went for the Deeb-tox, then they had a cradle exchange where Riho locked on a Gedo Clutch to win.

Riho will face Thunder Rosa in the next round.

Orange Cassidy (w/ Chuck Taylor) defeated Luther (w/ Serpentico)

Luther knocked Taylor off the apron and Serpentico landed a tope suicida on Taylor before the match started. Luther then surprised Cassidy with a big powerbomb for a quick two-count. He ripped Cassidy’s shirt off and moved to the apron, where Cassidy escaped and powerbombed Luther onto the floor.

Serpentico looked like he was about to go for a dive, but Taylor surprised him with the Awful Waffle. Cassidy then hit the Orange Punch on Luther for the quick win.

A video package played recapping the Darby Allin, Sting, and Team Taz feud.

Taz, Brian Cage, and HOOK came out to the ring. Taz ridiculed the “Sting will call out Team Taz” advertisement and said that Starks and Hobbs were out due to the weather. He challenged Sting to come out and call them out.

Sting made his entrance, bat in hand. Taz said that stepping in the ring was the worst thing Sting could’ve done, and said that without that bat, he’s done. Sting dropped the bat and took off his coat, attacking Cage.

HOOK tried to get involved, but Sting dispatched him. Cage took advantage by powerbombing Sting in the center of the ring. That wasn’t a light powerbomb, Cage absolutely planted Sting in the ring.

Team Taz celebrated as Sting recovered in the ring.

Eddie Kingston, flanked by Butcher, Blade, and Bunny, talked about his match later tonight. He called out each of his opponents (Lance Archer, Rey Fénix, Jon Moxley) and his beef with each one. He highlighted Moxley and said that the only way he could get rid of him was through beating him.

**********

Alex Marvez caught up to Kenny Omega, who was speaking at a preschool. Callis sent Marvez away.

Omega started to read the Young Bucks’ “Killing the Business” book, but before he started answered some questions from the students.

He read a passage talking about how he was the main reason NJPW’s business went up. Callis interrupted and said they were short for time, and they led the children in a “Kenny” chant.

The kids wanted to play with Omega, but Callis volunteered Michael Nakazawa. The kids said they hated Nakazawa and beat him up.

This was total comedy.

AEW World Tag Team Championships: Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) (c) defeated Santana & Ortiz (w/ Inner Circle)

This was a very good title match, although it wasn’t quite at the level of recent Bucks matches.

Santana & Ortiz came out to the Inner Circle’s theme music, not their own.

Santana out-wrestled Nick at the start. Ortiz tagged in and maintained control on Nick, but Matt was able to tag in and dispatch both opponents with hip tosses. Ortiz hit a lucha-style arm drag but walked into a dropkick, so Santana tagged in.

Omega, Callis, and the Good Brothers were shown looking on. The Bucks downed Santana with dropkicks. Santana and Ortiz came back with a big dropkick on Matt. MJF tried to get involved but was immediately sent packing by the official, who kicked out the rest of the Inner Circle for good measure.

Santana and Ortiz isolated Nick throughout the entire commercial break. Nick avoided a senton and hit a superkick, buying him enough time to reach Matt for the hot tag.

Matt hit clotheslines on both opponents before hitting a hurricanrana and laying in punches on Santana. Ortiz took advantage with a kick, but Matt dispatched Ortiz and hit a springboard stunner on Santana.

An Iconoclasm/powerbomb combination from the Bucks got two. They went for More Bang For Your Buck, but Santana had it scouted, hitting an avalance Falcon Arrow on Nick for two.

Santana and Ortiz hit a twisting neckbreaker and Ortiz applied a grounded octopus hold to Nick. Nick tried to bridge out of it, but Ortiz maintained the hold. Matt broke it up with a diving elbow drop.

Matt stopped a double superplex and put Santana in the electric chair, setting up a Doomsday Device. The Bucks hit their buckle bomb enziguiri combination followed by superkicks, but Ortiz broke up the pinfall.

The Bucks set up for the BTE Trigger, but their knees collided and Santana hit a double cutter. Santana and Ortiz then hit the Street Sweepter, but Nick broke up the count at the very last second.

Santana and Ortiz powerbombed Matt into the crowd at ringside, but upon re-entry to the ring, Nick cradled Ortiz for the three count, retaining the titles.

– The Inner Circle immediately attacked right after the match. Omega, Callis, and the Good Brothers were shown looking on. Omega wanted to out and make the save, but Callis wasn’t having it.

Brandon Cutler ran out, but he couldn’t take on the Inner Circle by himself, falling victim to Jake Hager. Jericho and MJF applied their signature submissions to the Bucks, and then the Good Brothers ran out. so Jericho and MJF escaped to the outside.

The Bucks’ parents were at ringside, and Jericho and MJF got in their face. Papa Buck shoved Jericho, who smirked as the segment ended.

A Brandi Rhodes video played where she said she misses the fans. She’s the only one who knows their baby’s sex – not even Cody knows.

Cody and Brandi came out to the ramp, and pink pyro shot off as “It’s a girl!” showed up on the video board.

Ahead of the next match, Cody joined commentary.

It was announced that there would be a six-way ladder match to determine the next TNT Championship challenger at Revolution. Cody, Scorpio Sky, and Penta El Cero Miedo were announced for the match.

FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) vs. Matt Sydal & Mike Sydal

No Tully Blanchard with FTR tonight. This was a really fun little sprint, with Matt Sydal in particular looking strong.

Wheeler immediately flattened Mike with a back suplex and laid in a big chop. Mike came back with a dropkick and tagged in his brother., who laid in kicks on Harwood. Wheeler made a blind tag and surprised Mike with a big German suplex ahead of the commercial break.

Back from break, Mike was able to tag in his brother and hit a hurricanrana. Matt hit kicks and knee strikes followed by the lightning spiral, sending Harwood to the floor. Mike then hit a top-rope Orihara moonsault all the way to the floor.

Matt rolled Harwood into the ring and covered for two. He rolled Harwood up, but on the kickout, ran headfirst into a Wheeler forearm. Matt tried to fight back against the double team but was met with a dragon suplex for two.

The Sydals both hit top-rope moves, but Wheeler reached the ropes on the cover. Harwood made a blind tag and FTR hit the Big Rig for the win.

– After the match, FTR took Doc Sampson’s medical kit and removed the scissors from it, setting up to cut Mike Sydal’s hair. The lights went out, and when they came back on, Jurassic Express were in the ring. Luchasaurus has a new mask

The Jurassic Express beat down FTR, as Jungle Boy put Harwood in the Snare Trap and Luchasaurus flattened Wheeler with a chokeslam.

Jon Moxley addressed Eddie Kingston. He said he’d whoop Kingston’s ass as many times as he needs to.

He then promoted his upcoming IWGP US Championship defense against KENTA on NJPW Strong before setting his sights on the AEW World Championship. He’ll pursue Omega as long as it takes to settle the score.

Jon Moxley, Rey Fénix, & Lance Archer (w/ Jake Roberts) defeated Eddie Kingston, The Butcher, & The Blade (w/ The Bunny)

They brawled all over early on. Blade isolated Moxley and allowed Butcher to crush him with a leg drop in the ring. Kingston and co. worked together, allowing Blade to hit Moxley with a powerslam for two.

Moxley hit a neckbreaker on Blade and tagged in Archer, who downed all three opponents, concluding with an overhead choke suplex. Archer hit a series of running elbows and a belly to belly slam. He went to the top for his arm-trap moonsault, but Butcher tried to break it up, so Fénix walked the ropes and kicked Butcher out of the way, allowing Archer to hit the moonsault.

The babyface team maintained control throughout the break until Kingston tripped up Archer. Kingston’s team isolated Archer on their side of the ring until Archer caught Kingston and Butcher, downing them both with a running crossbody.

Fénix got the hot tag and hit a springboard heel kick on Butcher before nailing a springboard armd drag on Kingston. He followed it up with a tope con hilo on Kingston and a rolling cutter on Butcher. Fénix then landed a frog splash for two.

Kingston interrupted with an exploder suplex, leading to a parade of moves. Every single competitor hit a big move, leading to everyone being down. Moxley and Kingston were the first men up, and they both tagged in.

Moxley and Kingston exchanged forearms in the center of the ring. Kingston hit an enziguiri, but Moxley avoided the spinning backfist and after his partners attacked, Moxley locked in the Bulldog Choke. After the choke was broken up, Archer chokeslammed Fénix onto Butcher and Blade and hit a running cannonball himself.

Kingston and Moxley traded more strikes. Kingston hit the spinning backfist, but Moxley no-sold and hit a lariat and the Paradigm Shift for the win.

– After the match, the Good Brothers ran out and attacked Moxley, followed by Omega and Callis. Omega said that Moxley looks pathetic, revealing that Moxley slipped a rematch clause into his championship contract.

Omega granted Moxley the rematch, proposing that it takes place in an exploding barbed wire deathmatch. Moxley headbutted Omega, busting him open, but was met with a V-Trigger and then a second one as Omega berated Moxley to end the show.

AEW Dynamite live results: Omega & KENTA vs. Moxley & Archer

KENTA makes his in-ring AEW debut on tonight’s Dynamite, teaming with Kenny Omega against Jon Moxley and Lance Archer in a falls count anywhere, anything goes match.

TNT Championship: Darby Allin (c) defeated Joey Janela

These two have met in spectacular matches at PWG and EVOLVE. This wasn’t quite as death-defying but it was a very enjoyable opener.

They performed chain wrestling at the start until Allin took control with an arm drag and a dropkick. They fought on the apron, where Janela dropped Allin over the side of the ring with a release suplex. Janela followed it up with a tope suicida and rolled Allin back in for two.

Janela tried to maintain control with corner forearms, but Allin fired up. He tried to whip Janela into the corner but Janela countered it into a strong Irish whip of his own for two.

Allin tried to make his comeback a few times but Janela would cut him off with his power. Janela landed a diving axe handle and taunted, but Allin pulled him off the top rope on the follow-up. Janela maintained control with a knee strike before Allin sent him into the corner with a running dropkick.

Janela’s arm was the target of Allin’s attack, and Allin followed it up with a low tope that looked great for two. Allin applied the Fujiwara armbar and Janela had to fight to make it to the ropes.

Allin went for the Coffin Drop but Janela turned it into a nice German suplex and followed it up with a thrust kick for two. Janela took too long on the follow-up so Allin sent him to the mat with an arm-wringer.

They exchanged forearms in the center of the ring until Janela downed Allin with a lariat. Allin countered into a stunner and a jackknife pin for two. Allin applied more cradles until Janela hit a spike piledriver for a close near fall.

Janela set Allin up on the top rope and starched him with a slap, but Allin turned it into a top-rope Code Red for two. An arm-trap STO set Allin up perfectly to land the Coffin Drop to retain the title.

Jon Moxley addressed KENTA and his attack last week. What he thinks happened is KENTA realized the time for talk is over, and on February 26, they are going to stand toe to toe in a war of attrition.

That’s a sanctioned match for the IWGP US Championship, but tonight’s match is unsanctioned. Tonight is just for tun.

Moxley did not mention NJPW or Strong by name, but did mention the IWGP US title.

**********

Sammy Guevara entered the Inner Circle locker room and sent everyone but MJF packing. He said he watched the show last week and knows exactly what he’s doing: trying to take over the Inner Circle.

MJF thought that this was just jealousy at first, because MJF is the new favorite. But now MJF thinks Guevara hates Chris Jericho and wants to take over the Inner Circle.

Guevara got defensive and said “What, you want me to say I hate Chris Jericho?” MJF said that that was exactly what he wanted to hear, and revealed that he had been recording on his phone. Guevara took the phone, chucked it against the wall, and laid out MJF.

The segment came across well but if the cameraman was recording the whole segment, why would Guevara care about MJF recording his voice?

**********

Cody Rhodes & Lee Johnson defeated “Pretty” Peter Avalon & Cezar Bononi

Cody easily took control over Avalon right away. Johnson tagged in and Bononi made a blind tag and laid out Johnson. Avalon tagged back in, where he was sent to the mat with a dropkick. Johnson reared back for a right hand, but Avalon fled to Bononi for the tag.

A jawbreaker allowed Johnson to tag in Cody, who landed clotheslines on Bononi. Bononi came back with a fallaway slam ahead of the commercial break.

Cody caught an Avalon springboard out of the break and used a backbreaker to escape to Johnson for the hot tag. Johnson hit a series of strikes and a neckbreaker before sending Bononi to the floor, where he landed a great Fosbury flop.

Avalon avoided a springboard but ran into a thrust kick and a neckbreaker for two. Cody tried to dispatch Bononi but the big man was too strong, and he dropped Johnson down hard. Avalon went for the Marti-Knees, but Johsnon avoided them and rolled Avalon up for his first AEW victory.

After the match, Tony Schiavone interviewed Johnson with the whole Nightmare Family looking on. Johnson said he wish he had a lot of words but he doesn’t. He started 0-29, but his trainers showed him that hard work pays off. The Rhodes Family is his family, and they did this for him.

**********

The Young Bucks were interviewed by Dasha about how they were eliminated so early last week. The Good Brothers showed up and were all hyped and excited about ratings, but the Bucks were angry about them showing up and messing things up.

The Good Brothers pointed out that the Bucks’ real beef is with the Inner Circle, who eliminated them and taunted them. Matt suggested that the Bucks defend their championships against Santana and Ortiz next week. The Good Brothers wanted to Too Sweet, but the Bucks were embarrassed about it because Sting’s with the company now.

**********

Hangman Page was interviewed by Dasha about a potential tag team with Matt Hardy. Hardy showed up and said that they’re undeniably special together before inviting him to an all-you-can-drink bar. Page accepted the invitation, but as he went to walk away, he ran into the entire Dark Order, which led to an awkward encounter.

**********

PAC (w/ Rey Fénix) defeated Ryan Nemeth

PAC immediately sent Nemeth to the mat with knee strikes and followed it up with a ridiculously rapid snap suplex. A corner lariat was followed by a missile dropkick, with PAC methodically picking apart Nemeth.

Nemeth tried to fight back with a forearm but PAC laid him out with more kicks. He got a hope spot with a counter DDT but PAC rolled to the floor and sent Nemeth into the barricade.

Back in the ring, PAC beat Nemeth down with more stomps and landed the Black Arrow before transitioning into the Brutalizer for the decisive victory. PAC wouldn’t let go after the match.

A video played recapping last week’s Kip Sabian & Penelope Ford wedding. Miro cut a promo over it, calling out Orange Cassidy.

**********

Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle were interviewed ahead of their match, but MJF, Guevara, Santana, and Ortiz weren’t there. MJF arrived with his ribs all taped up, complaining about Guevara’s attack, but it was time for the match.

Guevara was the only Inner Circle member not out with Jericho & MJF.

The Acclaimed did their usual rapping schtick.

Before the match, a video played with MJF cutting a promo on the Acclaimed.

Chris Jericho & MJF (w/ Inner Circle) defeated The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens)

MJF rolled to the floor right away, selling his ribs. Jericho tagged in but was met with a shoulder block from Caster, who tagged in Bowens with an enziguiri and an elbow drop. MJF tagged in but was immediately met with a suplex for two.

The Acclaimed targeted MJF’s ribs until MJF forced Caster into the corner, allowing Jericho to make a tag. MJF and Jericho beat Caster down with frequent tags and taunts leading into a commercial break.

Caster and MJF had an abdominal stretch battle coming back from break, and a hip tos bought Caster enough time to reach Bowens. Bowens ran wild on both opponents and dropped Ortiz, who tried to interfere.

Jericho went for the Lionsault, but Caster smacked him with the boombox for a close near fall. The Acclaimed set up for Acclaim to Fame, but Jake Hager knocked Caster off the top rope and Jericho landed the Judas Effect for the win.

– After the match, Sammy Guevara’s music played and he walked to the ring. Jericho asked him what his problem is, and Guevara said that months ago, he gave Jericho the ultimatum about one more thing happening with MJF being the breaking point. He’s done with the Inner Circle — he quits.

**********

Alex Marvez caught up to Guevara about leaving the Inner Circle, and Guevara said that he needs time to focus and get away from this place.

**********

Page and Hardy were getting along at the bar. Hardy made a quick toast but secretly dumped out his drink, implying Page was the only one drunk. He pulled out a contract for Page to sign, and while Page signed it, he talked to the cameraman about ensuring that this is documented.

**********

Tony Schiavone brought out Sting and asked what was on his mind ahead of his street fight. Taz and Powerhouse Hobbs interrupted on the video board, and the camera panned to the back of their vehicle, where Ricky Starks and Brian Cage had put Darby Allin in a bodybag. The vehicle drove away with Allin in the bodybag attached to the back.

**********

Alex Marvez caught up to Kenny Omega at the golf course. Omega was flabbergasted but told Marvez to watch his shot, which he chunked way over the green.

Marvez asked if Omega should maybe be preparing for tonight’s match instead of golfing, but Omega said he’s already mastered professional wrestling, and golfing allows him to prepare spiritually. He said he wasn’t gonna lose today or tonight, and looked up to the green, where Don Callis had put the ball in the cup.

**********

Before the match, a video played where Rosa said that her three goals were to win the tournament, win back the NWA Women’s Championship, and beat Britt Baker.

Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament Round 1: Thunder Rosa defeated Leyla Hirsch

They performed some good technical wrestling to start. Neither competitor could gain an advantage until Rosa hit a slam and a senton. Hirsch came back with an escalera hurricanrana and a tope suicida.

Back in the ring, Hirsch tried to lock on a cross armbreaker, but Rosa escaped and hit a rope-hang neckbreaker into the break. Rosa maintained control throughout.

Rosa hit corner knees and a dropkick for two. Hirsch fought back with a series of German suplexes, but Rosa fought out of the third. Hirsch landed a diving crossbody for two.

Hirsch went to the top, but Rosa got her knees up on the moonsault. She followed it up with bicycle knees but missed a step-up moonsault. Rosa went for the Fire Thunder Driver but Hirsch transitioned into the cross armbreaker. Rosa was forced to power out and hit the Fire Thunder Driver to win and advance.

It was announced that the Japanese side of the Women’s Eliminator Tournament would air on YouTube on Monday at 7pm Eastern.

Tony Schiavone talked to Jungle Boy about FTR kidnapping Marko Stunt. Schiavone said that Stunt is okay, but didn’t elaborate. Jungle Boy addressed Dax Harwood and said he had never been in a fight like that, but he came out on top a different man. Jungle Boy didn’t want FTR suspended, but when he sees Harwood again, he’s gonna make him his “bitch.”

KENTA came out to his NJPW music and graphics holding the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship briefcase, and Moxley came out with the belt itself.

Don Callis joined commentary.

Unsanctioned Falls Count Anywhere: Kenny Omega & KENTA defeated Jon Moxley & Lance Archer (w/ Jake Roberts)

This match was must-see television, a complete spectacle of professional wrestling and one of the best matches in Dynamite history.

KENTA cracked Moxley with the briefcase right away, while Archer attacked Omega. KENTA hit Archer with the briefcase, but Archer no-sold it, and Omega chop-blocked him from behind. Omega hit the Kotaro Crusher on Archer and he and KENTA took turns beating down Moxley, but they weren’t on the same page.

Whatever their issue was, they resolved it, and traded strikes on Moxley. Archer pounced Omega across the ring, and he and Moxley hit runnign clotheslines on their opponents. Archer went for a powerbomb, but Omega hit a hurricanrana out of it and the two went to the floor.

In the ring, Moxley and KENTA exchanged forearms. KENTA went for the GTS, Moxley went for the Paradigm Shift, but Omega interrupted with a trash can shot on Moxley. You Can’t Escape followed, using a trashcan for assistance on the moonsault. KENTA hit the corner dropkick through the trash can for two.

Archer introduced a ladder into the mix and ran over both Omega and KENTA. Moxley landed a tope suicida on KENTA and Archer suplexed Omega head-first into the ladder, which looked terrible.

This was a commercial break you don’t wanna tune out for — lots of brawling and weapon shots. KENTA and Moxley fought over a chair while Omega and Archer brawled at the ringside area.

Back from break, KENTA attacked Pretty Peter Avalon for some reason with a GTS. Archer attacked KENTA, but Omega went for a springboard. Archer caught him out of midair and chokeslammed him through Avalon’s bed setup at ringside.

Moxley entered the fray and sent KENTA into the barricade. He set KENTA up on a chair and landed a mid kick for two. Moxley brought KENTA up into the stands, where they brawled up the stairs.

The camera cut to the kitchen area, reminiscent of the Young Bucks and the Butcher & Blade’s great Falls Count Anywhere match. Moxley and KENTA took turns tossing each other into all the equipment. They fought on top of a table, where KENTA hit a DDT and locked on Game Over.

Archer broke up the submission with a box of potatoes, but Omega beat him down with a trash can. The announcers recapped the action so far and cut back outside, where Omega and Moxley brawled towards the ring. Moxley attacked with a chair and a kendo stick.

Moxley went for a diving kendo stick shot, but Omega hit a V-Trigger out of midair. KENTA and Archer appeared out of the tunnel as Omega hit another V-Trigger on the floor, setting Moxley up on the table. Archer sent the announcers away and tried to powerbomb KENTA through the table, but KENTA fought out and jumped off the stage with a diving foot stomp through Moxley.

Omega tried to defend himself against Archer with a kendo stick, but Archer caught it and snapped it over his knee. Archer hit a chokeslam and his rope-walk moonsault for a close near fall.

Archer set up for Blackout, but the Good Brothers ran out, allowing KENTA to attack with the distraction. KENTA hit two spinning backfists, but Archer no-sold them. Anderson hit a Gun Stun on Archer, but Jake Roberts came into the ring and dispatched Anderson with a short-arm clothelsine.

KENTA hit the GTS on Moxley, Archer went for a double chokeslam, but Omega and KENTA both hit low blows. The Good Brothers hit the Magic Killer and Omega hit the V-Trigger and an assisted One-Winged Angel on Archer to end it.

A promo from Sammy Hagar played before the match, cheering on Jake Hager & Sammy Guevara.

MJF & Chris Jericho won the AEW World Tag Team Championship Challenger Battle Royale

There were ten teams in the match, and both members needed to be eliminated. FTR was removed from the match as a result of their post-match attack on Luchasaurus last week. They were replaced by John Silver & Alex Reynolds.

The Young Bucks were the last to make their entrances, and they dove on everyone ahead of the match. They dispatched a series of teams with spears and superkicks before the battle royale officially started, and Isiah Kassidy missed a big dive.

Daunte Martin was eliminated by Private Party. Jake Hager eliminated Alex Reynolds. Stu Grayson stayed in with a great show of strength, and Silver eliminated Hager. Matt Jackson was backdropped onto the ramp and eliminated early on.

Chris Jericho & MJF eliminated Anthony Bowens. Luchasaurus got a showcase spot where he knocked down half the field with strikes. Grayson tried to suplex Luchasaurus over the top, but Luchasaurus suplexed him onto Bowens before being eliminated by the Dark Order.

MJF tossed out Evil Uno. Darius Martin blocked Private Party’s Silly STring and eliminated Quen. Silver suplexed both of Santana and Ortiz, but he celebrated and the team eliminated him. Nick Jackson ran wild on Santana and Ortiz and tossed out Santana before eliminating Ortiz with a superkick.

Darius downed Jericho with a dropkick but was sent to the apron and eliminated with the Judas Effect. Jericho and MJF are the #1 contenders.

Tony Schiavone brought out Darby Allin and then Sting for an interview. Next week, Allin will defend the TNT Championship against Joey Janela.

Team Taz interrupted. They’ve been barred from the building due to their actions from last week. Taz said they’d be watching Allin’s match closely next week.

Starks said that Sting’s not the same guy from the past or the “icon” they call Sting. He said Sting would get hurt playing in the jungle, and wished Allin good luck, because he’d need it.

Sting said that he’d be with Allin next week to make sure it’s just a one-on-one match. If Starks doesn’t see the “icon” in Sting’s eyes anymore, maybe he needs to take a closer look.

**********

Ahead of the match, a video package played recapping Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker’s feud.

Dr. Britt Baker. D.M.D. (w/ Rebel) defeated Thunder Rosa

This was a great match, probably Baker’s best performance yet, before the rather underwhelming finish.

Rosa attacked Rebel before the bell, but Baker immediately went for the Lockjaw. Rosa rolled out of it and landed a short dropkick. She followed it up by laying in corner strikes on Baker, who turned it around with some chain wrestling.

A flipping senton from Rosa got two, so Rosa kept up the offense. Baker moved out of the way of a corner attack and landed a pump kick. She maintained control on the floor and taunted Rosa, but Rosa drove Baker into the apron and the barricade leading to a commercial break.

Baker regained control during the break when Rosa went into the ring to break the count. They battled on the ramp, where Rosa hit a Death Valley Driver. Back in the ring, Rosa landed a jumping clothesline, double knees, and a corner dropkick for two.

Rosa went for her finish but Baker rolled out of it and hit a Sling Blade and a thrust kick for two. Rosa hit a series of kicks, but Baker fought out of piledriver attempts and hit an Air Raid Crash for two.

Baker put on the glove and went for the Lockjaw, but Rosa reached the ropes. Baker hit the Rollins stomp and cradled Rosa into the Lockjaw. Rosa tried to cradle out of it, but Baker kept it applied for a while before Rosa finally reached her feet and suplexed her way out of it.

Rosa hit another Death Valley Driver for a close near fall. She then applied an omoplata, while Rebel pulled off a turnbuckle pad. Rosa let go of the hold to chase off Rebel, and Baker avoided a corner attack, sending Rosa face first into the turnbuckle. Baker then applied the Lockjaw, leading to the referee stoppage.

Last week, Matt Hardy and Hangman Page were interviewed by Tony Schiavone in Hardy’s dressing room. Hardy said that they’d have great chemistry, but Page didn’t want any partnership or contract. Hardy said that he had no ulterior motives, and so he proposed that they team up against Chaos Project to get revenge for them interrupting -1’s birthday party.

Hangman Page & Matt Hardy vs. Chaos Project (Luther & Serpentico)

Hardy dominated Serpentico early on before tagging in Page, who hit the running Shooting Star Press for two. Hardy hit the Side Effect but Luther blind tagged his way in and beat down Hardy with strikes.

Luther used his partner as a weapon against Hardy. Serpentico missed a Swanton bomb and Hardy reached Page for the hot tag. Page ran wild with a fallaway slam and a plancha, concluding it with a spinebuster on Serpentico for two.

Page wanted the Buckshot Lariat but Luther pulled him off the apron, where Luther whiffed on a running cannonball. Page then hit the Buckshot on Serpentico, but Hardy tagged himself in and got the pinfall.

Hardy wanted a high five after the match, but Page was perplexed.

Chris Jericho and MJF were interviewed by Alex Marvez about being the #1 contenders. MJF called him “Mark-vez” and joined the Inner circle in their locker room. Guevara said that only Jericho & MJF were the contenders, as everyone else lost. Jericho called them “collateral damage,” and Guevara wondered why it was always everyone else who was “collateral damage.”

MJF said it was time to have a conversation, and Wardlow sent the cameraman packing and shut the door.

Kip Sabian, Miro, & Charles Taylor were interviewed by Tony Schiavone. Sabian said that Tony was lucky to be there, and Vickie Guerrero arrived and said “it’s time.”

Kip Sabian & Penelope Ford’s Wedding

There was a lovely little setup in the ring. Guerrero escorted Sabian to the ring, flanked by his wedding party. Ford was escorted by Jerry Lynn. Schiavone got emotional on commentary.

Father James Mitchell was the presiding official. He called it “unholy matrimony” and asked the bride and groom to share their vows.

Sabian objectified his bride, in a weirdly sweet way. “You are beautiful on the inside, and damn, you are hot on the outside.” Ford started by saying “You have the biggest…” but Sabian cut her off, because he knows how much she wants to spend her life with him.

After presenting the ring, and Father James went through an absurd tirade about “groping” and “kayfabe,” they both said “I do.” He was about to ask if anyone objects, but Miro said he’d been there a few times and asked to move on. Father James then pronounced them man and wife.

The newlyweds made out, tongue and all, before Miro began a toast. He demanded that Charles bring everyone champagne. Miro said that he, himself, is Sabian’s wedding present before asking who brought this giant present in the back. Charles said it was from him, so Miro attacked it and tossed it out of the ring.

The crowd started chanting “What Is Love?” and Miro played along before saying it was time for cake. He looked down and noticed that he had been shackled to the bottom ropes, and Charles shoved Sabian, who in turn knocked Ford face-first into the cake. Sabian tried to attack Charles but ended up hitting Miro.

Ford jumped on Charles’ back and allowed Sabian to attack him, but Orange Cassidy popped out of the cake table. Charles used the distraction to attack with a wine cooler, and Cassidy hit the Beach Break on Sabian.

Weirdly, the show went to picture and picture next, but as far as I could tell, nothing of note really happened.

A recap of Shaquille O’Neal accepting the challenge with the Inside the NBA TNT crew played. Shaq was really funny, saying his finisher was called the “black tornado,” which was essentially a spinning back elbow like he used to do in the post as a player. The match, Shaq & Jade Cargill vs. Cody Rhodes & Red Velvet, was announced for the March 3 episode of Dynamite.

Lance Archer (w/ Jake Roberts) defeated Eddie Kingston in a lumberjack match

This was a chaotic spectacle that didn’t really come together for me.

Archer was a house of fire, tossing Kingston right away, but Kingston made his way back into the ring before anyone could attack. Butcher and Blade tripped Archer and beat him down, but Archer fought them off. He tried to chokeslam Peter Avalon, one of the lumberjacks, but Avalon escaped and Archer went headfirst into the ring post.

Kingston was sent outside next, but Billy Gunn sent him back in the ring immediately, but Kingston still went after Butcher and Blade on the outside. A brawl ensued, which Archer dove onto leading into a commercial break, where Kingston took control.

Archer hit a full nelson bomb and landed some running offense. Bunny ran in the ring and hopped on Archer’s back. Archer was going to hit her with the Blackout, but Kingston cut it off with a spinning backfist.

Jake Roberts attacked Angélico for some reason and a shot from Butcher allowed Kingston to hit an exploder suplex for two. Blade set up a table, but Bear Bronson of Bear Country ran in and speared him through it, as they evened the odds for Archer.

Archer hit a big uranage for two. Kingston went to the top rope, but Archer cut him off and hit Blackout for the win.

FTR accused Jurassic Express of essentially tattling and trying to get them removed from the battle royal. Blanchard got heated about all the stipulations they’ve had to adhere to and asked what it would take to let the best tag team in the world compete.

Dax said that they werent bad men, but sometimes they have to do what bad men do. It was revealed that they have kidnapped Marko Stunt, as he was handcuffed to a chair and his mouth was taped.

Don Callis joined commentary for the match. PAC and Fénix got their Death Triangle music and entered from the stands with Moxley.

Kenny Omega & The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows) defeated Jon Moxley, PAC, & Rey Fénix

This match was a fantastic six-man tag, exactly as advertised. Fénix was the star.

PAC and Anderson traded forearms right away. A hurricanrana frustrated Anderson, so he tagged in Gallows. Moxley tagged in and went right after Gallows with forearms, but Gallows downed him with a right hand. Moxley avoided a sit-down splash and hit the Regal Knee, but Gallows kicked out right away.

Anderson and Fénix tagged in as Death Triangle worked over the former. With the official distracted, Omega grabbed the leg of PAC and Gallows slammed him off the top rope. The heels isolated PAC until he hit a snap German on Omega and reached Moxley for a tag.

Moxley hit a release suplex on Anderson for two and followed it up with a plancha on Gallows. He sent Anderson to the floor and landed a tope suicida on the Good Brothers before sending Omega into the barricade.

During the commercial break, Moxley was met with a Gun Stun upon re-entry to the ring, allowing Omega and the Good Brothers to take control. A mule kick and evasive maneuvers allowed Moxley to reach Fénix for the hot tag.

Fénix spiked Omega with a hurricanrana and dispatched Gallows with kicks before landing a springboard headbutt on Anderson. He and PAC hit stereo Orihara moonsaults onto the Good Brothers before Fénix landed a cutter on Omega for two.

Omega fought out of the Fire Thunder Driver and the two traded chops. Omega sent Fénix off the top rope and crushed him with a draping snap dragon suplex. Gallows tagged in and hit a big boot for two. PAC tagged in and peppered Gallows with strikes, but Gallows kicked out at one.

PAC ran face first into a Gallows thrust kick and the heels beat down PAC, concluding with a triple neckbreaker. Moxley broke up the pinfall and Omega flattened PAC with a Liger bomb for two. Omega hit a V-Trigger and went for the One-Winged Angel, but PAC fought out and his teammates made the save, concluding with a PAC German suplex bridge for two.

Moxley tagged in and went for the Bulldog Choke, but Good Brothers ran interference. Moxley and Omega had an exchange where Omega hit the V-Trigger, but Moxley sprung up with a huge lariat. Fénix dispatched both Good Brothers with an absurd tope con hilo.

Omega hit his own Paradigm Shift, but PAC broke up the pin attempt with a 450 splash. Anderson tagged in and went for the Gun Stun, but Moxley hit a Gun Stun of his own. Fénix tagged in and hit a springboard moonsault press for two. Anderson caught the follow-up and hit a spinebuster.

The Good brothers hit the Magic Killer on Fénix as Omega sent PAC packing with a V-Trigger for the win.

The two teams brawled after the match, but Lance Archer ran out and sent the Good Brothers packing. It was just Moxley and Omega in the ring, but a masked man ran in and laid out Moxley. It was NJPW’s KENTA, who holds the rights to challenge for Moxley’s IWGP United States Championship – and is a member of the current Bullet Club. He finished Moxley with the Go To Sleep to end the show.

AEW Dynamite live results: Young Bucks & Good Brothers team up

The Young Bucks and The Good Brothers team up on tonight’s AEW Dynamite.

Dissension has been teased between The Bucks and the Kenny Omega-Don Callis-Good Brothers faction. On last week’s Dynamite, Callis attempted to pay Matt and Nick Jackson off to leave Kenny Omega alone. The Bucks apparently retaliated by nailing Callis with superkicks. Tonight, Matt, Nick, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson will face Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, John Silver and Alex Reynolds of The Dark Order.

The build to next week’s Beach Break edition of Dynamite will continue tonight. Jon Moxley will discuss his trios match at that event, where he will team with PAC and Rey Fenix against Omega, Gallows and Anderson.

Sting and Darby Allin will appear tonight to address their upcoming street fight with Team Taz at AEW Revolution on March 7.

Dax Harwood will face Jungle Boy this evening. Cash Wheeler and Tully Blanchard will be handcuffed to Luchasaurus at ringside.

Lance Archer vs. Eddie Kingston, Hangman Page vs. Ryan Nemeth, Britt Baker vs. Shanna, plus Chris Jericho and MJF vs. Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr. are also set for tonight’s show.

Our live coverage begins at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

Eddie Kingston defeated Lance Archer

Neither man had any associates out with them.

They traded stiff strikes early on until Archer downed Kingston with a pounce. Archer continued to chop Kingston until he chokeslammed Kingston onto the corner of the ring to the floor in a ridiculous spot. “That had to have broken his back” were the words of Tony Schiavone.

Archer kept up the offense on the floor before flattening Kingston with a uranage in the ring. Kingston dropkicked Archer down and landed a running forearm for two, but Archer popped back up with a ripcord lariat. He went for Blackout, but Kingston fought out, so Archer hit another chokeslam and his rope-walk moonsault.

The EBD Claw followed, but Butcher and Blade appeared on the ramp with an incapacitated Jake Roberts, and Bunny slipped Kingston a knuckle duster. Kingston landed the weapon-assisted spinning backfist for the pin.

After the match, Butcher and Blade hit their tag team finisher on Archer and Kingston hit a second spinning back fist.

A Jon Moxley video aired where he tried to decipher the Elite storyline. He’s a simple guy who trusts in his right hand and left hand. The story doesn’t matter because he loves a good six-man tag match (he teams with the PAC & Rey Fénix against Kenny Omega and the Good Brothers next week). It’s gonna be wild, so “don’t blink.”

**********

Sting and Darby Allin addressed their upcoming street fight against Team Taz. Sting started, saying that he was hurt by being called a “hoodlum,” but Allin is a hoodlum. Allin said it doesn’t matter how dirty you play in the streets, because it’s all about survival. Allin threw his skateboard through a window behind them, and Sting broke some windows with his bat. Sting ended up deciding that he is, in fact, a hoodlum, and it will be “showtime” at Revolution.

Chris Jericho & MJF (w/ Inner Circle) vs. Varsity Blonds (Griff Garrison & Brian Pillman Jr.)

This was a nice match, especially for the Blonds. Garrison has a great hot tag.

Before the match, MJF said that he needed to talk to Sammy Guevara after the match. He then addressed Garrison, and asked him to skip the formalities and say “I quit.” Garrison struck him and laid in strikes, but MJF escaped and grabbed a chair. The announcers pointed out that Guevara was applauding when Garrison attacked MJF.

Jericho tagged in but was met with a flurry of offense from the Blonds. He tried to fire back with strikes, but Pillman clotheslined him down until MJF took control with an illegal kick from the apron, leading into a commercial break.

During the break, Pillman made a comeback with a diving crossbody, leading to a really nice Garrison hot tag. Garrison ran wild with clotheslines and foiled multiple attempts to cut him off. He finished it off with a double spear on MJF for two.

Pillman tagged in and landed a missile dropkick before downing Jericho with a thrust kick for two. He sent Jericho to the floor with a dropkick, but was met with a Judas Effect and a Lionsault to finish it back in the ring. The Lionsault was intentionally superfluous after not hitting it perfectly last week, and it was a great little touch to end the contest.

MJF and Guevara exchanged words after the match.

**********

PAC talked about Kenny Omega. He called him a manipulator and a cheater and told Omega to bring his Good Brothers, because he and Fénix will show them the true meaning of brotherhood. Next week, Omega faces the consequences of his actions.

The video of Shaquille O’Neal challenging Cody Rhodes played. He called Cody a “punk” and told him to name the time and place before landing on March as the time.

Cody and Arn Anderson came out to be interviewed by Tony Schiavone. Schiavone asked Cody to respond to Shaq and Jade Cargill. Instead, Cody said he’d like to just promote it for March 7. However, he can’t do that, because he and Brandi are having a baby. Cody decided to defer the decision to his coach, Arn.

Arn said that the fact of the matter is that Cody’s about to be a dad. It’s the most important thing in his life. He asked if June 29, 1985 meant anything to Cody. That’s where Arn watched Dusty fight Tully Blanchard, hop on a flight, and see the birth of his baby boy, Cody. Cody got tears in his eyes.

Arn said that if Cody decides to fight in March, he should do it with no regrets. He went over Shaq and Cargill’s pedigrees, but Arn’s seen something from the last two weeks that can’t be measured like those two.

Red Velvet made her entrance and joined everyone in the ring. Arn said that both she and Cody have fire. Velvet took the mic and said that she’s fed up and tired of getting attacked and watching Brandi get disrespected. Cody would never lay a hand on Cargill, but she would, because she’s Red Velvet, and she’s about to “stir her bitch-ass up.”

Schiavone concluded the segment by saying that the ball is in Shaq and Cargill’s court. It looks like Cody & Red Velvet vs. Shaq & Jade Cargill is the match.

A video played hyping the upcoming wedding between Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford.

Hangman Page defeated Ryan Nemeth

Nemeth is the younger brother of WWE wrestler Dolph Ziggler, and this was his AEW debut.

The two performed chain wrestling until Page downed Nemeth with a boot. Page kept up the offense with more strikes, pounding on Nemeth in the corner. He sent Nemeth to the floor with his springboard clothesline and followed it up with a plancha.Back in the ring, Page missed a corner clothesline and Nemeth downed him with a dropkick.

Matt Hardy made his way down to the ring, appearing to scout the wrestlers in the match.

Nemeth maintained control with a neckbreaker, but he only got a one count. Page fired out of the corner with a lariat and downed Nemeth with a spinebuster. The sliding lariat followed for two. Nemeth countered a backdrop with a DDT for a quick two. Page countered out of a suplex and landed a discus forearm, and the Buckshot Lariat for three.

– Tony Schiavone came down to the ring after the match to talk to Page and Hardy. Hardy said that he came out to be in Page’s corner and support him. He said that Page seems lost and knows how much love Page had for Omega and the Bucks.

Hardy said he doesn’t want anything from Page, and wants to let him know that he’s a good person who deserves to be happy. Hardy offered Page a spot to dress in his dressing room, and Schiavone said that he should take him up on it.

Jungle Boy defeated Dax Harwood

This was a very good back-and-forth TV match. Aside from main events, there are few Dynamite matches that go this long – it was about fifteen minutes.

Luchasaurus was handcuffed to Cash Wheeler and Tully Blanchard so nobody could interfere in the match. Before the match, a video played where Harwood and Jungle Boy discussed what that means for the match.

Harwood powered Jungle Boy into the corner, where they exchanged words. Jungle Boy achieved a takedown with an armdrag, so they were even and locked up again. Harwood downed Jungle Boy with a shoulder tackle, but Jungle Boy won the following sequence with a dropkick. He looked for a submission, but Harwood reached the ropes.

Luchasaurus and Harwood jawed, but Jungle Boy brought his opponent back into the ring. Harwood took control with a boot to the midsection before laying in chops in the corner. Jungle Boy fired back with chops of his own, but Harwood was too powerful, kneeing Jungle Boy in the bread basket.

Jungle Boy used evasive maneuvers to send Harwood shoulder-first into the post, allowing him to target Harwood’s left arm. Harwood downed him with an uppercut, but Jungle Boy hit a back suplex and sent Harwood to the floor. He went for a baseball slide, but Harwood sent him into the barricade, leading to a commercial.

Harwood continued during the entire break until a jawbreaker allowed Jungle Boy to start his comeback. A series of elbow strikes sent Harwood to the mat. Jungle Boy went to the top rope, but took too long, and Harwood flattened him with a Saito superplex.

Jungle Boy fired up and slapped Harwood, leading to a great strike exchange. Jungle Boy escaped out of multiple powerbombs and landed a thrust kick, but Harwood cut him off with a lariat. Harwood went for a powerbomb, but Jungle Boy hit a hurricanrana out of it for two. Harwood hit a slingshot Liger Bomb for a close two.

Harwood set up for a dragon suplex, but Jungle Boy fought out by attacking the injured arm. Jungle Boy landed a series of German suplexes but was cut off with a back elbow. Jungle Boy returned fire with a clothesline, but Harwood hit a misdirection DDT for another two.

Jungle Boy landed a diving crossbody, but Harwood rolled through and they exchanged a ton of cradles. Harwood landed a knee to the midsection and rolled Jungle Boy up for a great near fall, but Jungle Boy kicked out and applied the Snare Trap submission, which is like a deathlock crossface. Jungle Boy adjusted the hold, and Harwood tapped.

After the match, Tully threw powder in Luchasaurus’s face and Wheeler beat down Jungle Boy. Harwood hit a slingshot suplex on FTR and Tully hit the diving spike piledriver on Luchasaurus as FTR held him. FTR then handcuffed Luchasaurus to the ropes as Harwood cut the horns off Luchasaurus’s mask. It looked like they were about to cut off Jungle Boy’s hair, but Marko Stunt (with a chair) and SCU ran out to make the save.

Team Taz responded to Sting and Darby Allin’s promo from earlier tonight. Taz began to speak, but they noticed a merch stand that was selling Sting gear, and everyone (including HOOK) attacked the workers and broked down the stand. Cage sent one of the guys head-first into a truck with a lawn dart throw, and Starks put another one through the table. Taz said that Starks and Cage would beat Sting and Allin’s ass in the street fight.

**********

Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. (w/ Rebel) defeated Shanna

They performed chain wrestling early on. Baker took control until Shanna downed her with an enziguiri. Shanna went for a running dropkick but Rebel pulled Baker out of the way, and Baker took advantage with an attack on the floor ahead of the break.

Shanna sent Baker to the canvas and landed a clothesline for two. Baker escaped out of a move into a cradle for two before hitting a short thrust kick. A swinging neckbreaker followed for another two. Baker went for the Lockjaw, but Shanna cradled out of it for two and hit a stunner and a running dropkick.

Rebel distracted the official as Shanna went for a Tiger Driver, allowing Baker to apply the Lockjaw for the submission.

After the match, Baker hit a curb stomp on Shanna and applied the Lockjaw again, btut Thunder Rosa’s music played and Rosa chased Baker and Rebel away.

A camera crew was following MJF as he looked for Sammy Guevara. MJF promised that he didn’t tell Wardlow to get involved in the match last week, so he docked Wardlow’s pay. Guevara called MJF one of the best manipulators in the business and said that he sees exactly what MJF is up to. MJF got serious and asked if Guevara wants to play it this way. Guevara said “I’m not playing.”

Dasha interviewed the Young Bucks and the Good Brothers. The Good Brothers acted all wacky like when they were in the Bullet Club, and said they’d beat up Jon Moxley next week. Matt didn’t want Don Callis to get involved. They were about to argue, but Kenny Omega showed up with a heavily bandaged Don Callis. Callis said that the Bucks assaulted him, but their music played to start the match.

The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) & The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows) defeated Dark Order (Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, Alex Reynolds, & John Silver)

The announcers mentioned the Bullet Club by name.

Uno and Anderson started off. Uno hit an atomic drop and rolled Anderson up for a quick two. Silver tagged in and wanted Gallows, the big guy. The height difference was a great visual, and Gallows taunted him for it. Silver laid in forearms but Nick kicked him in the back, allowing Matt to tag in.

Matt did his usual heel work, including raking the back. Reynolds and Matt had an exchange, but Nick tagged in with his corner knee into a bulldog sequence. All four of the Bucks and the Brothers worked together to beat down Reynolds, concluding with the Too Sweet pose. Both teams tripped the wrestlers in the ring and Reynolds reached Grayson for a tag.

Grayson dispatched everyone in his path with a fantastic hot tag. He concluded it with a frog splash on Anderson for two ahead of a break. During the break, the Bucks and the Brothers took control by double-teaming Grayson with the official distracted.

Back from break, a well-placed kick allowed Grayson to escape to Silver for the hot tag. He backdropped Nick all over the place and followed it up with a sequence not unlike his incredible hot tag from the Brodie Lee tribute show. A brainbuster on Nick followed for two.

Uno tagged in and hit a neckbreaker, but whiffed on the senton bomb. Matt tagged in and hit a double Northern Lights suplex and a double clothlesline on the entire Dark Order. Silver and Reynolds double-teamed Matt in the ring before Dark Order hit Fatality, but the Good Brothers broke it up for a great near fall.

Nick hit superkicks on everyone and followed it up with an escalera dive onto the pile. Uno, Silver and Reynolds were all powerbombed onto the ring apron outside, and they hit a triple superkick on Grayson in the ring, but Uno was somehow able to break it up. The Good Brothers dispatched Uno with the Magic Killer and the Bucks hit the Meltzer Driver on Grayson to win.

After the match, Matt talked about next week’s tag team battle royal. He said that if they win, they get to handpick their opponents for Revolution. Matt said it could be “anybody” and looked at the Good Brothers, and they posed with the Too Sweet.

Rey Fénix ran out and attacked the Good Brothers, but he was overwhelmed with the numbers advantaged and the Brothers set up for the Magic Killer. Moxley ran out to make the save and Fénix took out the Good Brothers with a ridiculous tope. Kenny Omega ran out to attack Moxley, but Moxley spiked him with a Paradigm Shift as he and Fénix posed to close the show.
