Dynamite averaged a 0.13 rating in the 18-49 demo. That’s up 30% from last week and was the second highest rating the show has done in that category since November 12th.

The show went head to head with Tru TV’s coverage of NCAA tournament play-in games which dominated the cable charts as well as CBS’s Survivor, which topped all television in both total viewers and 18-49. The show finished 8th on the cable charts for the night in the key demo.

As compared to the same week in 2025 the overall viewership was up 10.9% while the 18-49 rating was down 31.6%. It’s the 7th week out of the last 8 that the show has had a year over year increase in total viewers.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and 18-49 demo ratings for AEW Dynamite on TBS as well as the 10 week average in both categories. This week’s show was up 20.8% in overall viewers and 30% in 18-49 as compared to recent averages.

Update on Ricochet AEW social media controversy

Ricochet’s social media controversy has gotten some attention outside of wrestling with TMZ picking up on the story.

TMZ Sports published an articled on the situation on Wednesday, picking up Ricochet’s initial tweet and subsequent apology. The tweet was posted on Monday with Ricochet telling a fan he was “glad” she has multiple sclerosis after the fan criticized his acting ability. Ricochet then apologized the following day.

“I took out my hatred for the IWC on Sandi, and inadvertently others who are effected by MS,” he wrote. “She didnt deserve it and for that, I sincerely apologize. Moving forward I’ll do better.”

United Kingdom tabloid outlet The Sun has also posted an article on the situation.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Ricochet’s decision to delete the initial tweet came after a call from a friend who suggested that he do so. Meltzer said AEW did not force Ricochet to apologize.

“And then what ended up happening was, one of his friends called him and said, ‘You know, you really should take the tweet down.’ So he took the tweet down,” Meltzer said. “And upon thinking about it, he then apologized. Nobody forced his apology or anything like that. He decided to apologize and he did.”

Meltzer said there has been no word from AEW about the controversy:

“As far as where it stands elsewhere, as far as I know he has gotten no — I’ve heard nothing from AEW or anything like that as far as what happened.”

Ricochet, who lost the AEW National Championship at Revolution on Sunday, did not appear on Dynamite last night. His wife Samantha Johnson has deactivated her X/Twitter account after receiving violent threats.

Matt Jackson: FTR are ‘a true titan of tag team wrestling’

The Young Bucks believe FTR have already solidified themselves as all-time greats of tag team wrestling.

At Revolution this past weekend, the latest chapter in the Young Bucks-FTR feud played out with Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler retaining the AEW Tag Team titles. Matt Jackson spoke with Undisputed after the match and had high praise for his rivals.

“FTR, that’s an all-time great tag team,” Jackson said. “There are champions and there are dynasties. Much like the Boston Celtics, whose colors they wore at Revolution, FTR represents a dynasty. A team that’s been around for so long and dominated at such a high level for so many years…

“Dax and Cash, they’re a true titan of tag team wrestling. Does their greatness eat at me and bother me sometimes? Sure. But it also makes me better and pushes me to want to be the best. I’m sure we haven’t had our last encounter, one way or another.”

Revolution was a bucket-list moment for Jackson with the pay-per-view taking place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, where he and his brother Nick grew up going to wrestling shows. They wore Los Angeles Lakers-inspired gear and brought their children and other family members out with them as they made their entrance.

Having family so heavily involved in the match was an idea the Bucks came up with to help differentiate this from their other encounters with FTR.

“This was different from the other times we feuded,” Jackson told Undisputed. “We’d already explored the idea of our styles clashing, and the story of which team is truly the best team in the world, in previous matches. We thought, ‘How can we make it different and more personal this time?’ We decided family would be the subject matter. There’s nothing more personal than your relationship with your mom, dad, brother, sister, and your kids. It’s well known me and my brother are family men with family values, so we thought, ‘Let’s use that!’”

The Bucks and FTR have each held the AEW Tag Team titles three times. Harwood & Wheeler’s ongoing reign kicked off in November 2025 when they won the belts from Brody King & Bandido.

MVP loves ‘youthful exuberance’ in AEW locker room

MVP loves sharing the AEW locker room with a group of young and hungry wrestlers.

Appearing on the Battleground Podcast, MVP was asked what differentiates AEW from the other locker rooms he’s been in. He pointed to the amount of young talent that’s in the promotion and how they are always striving to put on the best match or segment.

“Youth and spirit. Extremely young locker room and lots of spirit,” the 52-year-old MVP said. “Just some young people that are extremely hungry, and they want to make a name for themselves, they want to make a career for themselves, and they’re constantly battling amongst each other for who can be the absolute best. No one’s skating on past accomplishments. Every week, everyone’s trying to go out there and compete for the best match, the best entertaining segment. And the fans win in the end. So I love the youthful exuberance that I find in the locker room week after week.”

MVP named Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher as two AEW wrestlers who have the potential to be the next “guy” in professional wrestling.

After making his AEW debut in 2024, MVP signed a contract extension with the promotion last year. He’s part of The Hurt Syndicate with Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin. Their faction — formerly known as The Hurt Business in WWE — is looking to get back in action after some time off.

MVP noted during the Battleground Podcast interview that The Hurt Syndicate is discussing the possibility of adding a new member. He thinks they could use someone with a “youthful spark.”

AEW Collision ratings up for Revolution go-home show

Saturday night’s episode of AEW Collision averaged 458,000 viewers on TNT, up 23.8% from the previous week. It’s the highest audience for the show since February 21st.

Collision averaged a 0.07 rating in the 18-49 demo. That’s up 40% from last week and was also the highest rating the show has done in that category since the February 21st episode.

On a Saturday night with the typical heavy sports competition, Collision finished tied for 19th on the primetime cable charts for the night in the 18-49 demo. It went head to head with UFC on Paramount+, the WBC on FOX, and college basketball games on various cable and network stations which dominated the charts.

As compared to the same week in 2025 the overall viewership was up 12.3% while the 18-49 rating was down 30%.

Listed below are the last 10 weeks of available overall viewership and 18-49 rating totals as well as the 9 week average in both categories. This week’s show was up 20.8% in overall viewers and 16.7% in 18-49 as compared to recent averages.

Young Bucks discuss bucket-list AEW Revolution moment

At AEW Revolution, The Young Bucks got to cross something off of their bucket list.

Sunday’s pay-per-view included an AEW Tag Team title match where FTR retained over The Young Bucks. It was a big moment for Matt & Nick Jackson with the two wrestling at Crypto.com Arena for the first time. Formerly known as the Staples Center, the venue is where the Bucks went to see pro wrestling when they were growing up in Southern California.

In a new video uploaded to the Being the Elite YouTube channel, Nick Jackson said Crypto.com Arena was one of only two venues remaining on their bucket list of places to wrestle at. All that’s left is Madison Square Garden in New York City.

“We went to many wrestling shows prior, years ago in this same exact building. WrestleMania 21, I want to say. And that was 20-something years ago,” Nick Jackson said before the PPV.

“And to do it all tonight with our kids, their cousins, our family. We have 30 people coming here tonight. It’s going to be a big, emotional day,” Matt Jackson added. “I think we may be a mess. Maybe the most emotional day of our career, possibly. I have nerves that I don’t normally have. I always have butterflies, but they’re fluttering around a lot today. So it’s going to be a big night for us.”

The Young Bucks brought their children and other family members to the ring when they made their entrance at the PPV. They had special gear for the occasion, using the Los Angeles Lakers’ color scheme while FTR dressed in Boston Celtics colors.

AEW’s post-Revolution episode of Dynamite will also take place from California, with the Save Mart Center in Fresno hosting Wednesday’s show along with a taping for AEW Collision.

AEW files for ‘Continental Cup’ trademark

Though the Continental Classic won’t be happening until late 2026, AEW made a trademark filing this week that could be related to the tournament.

AEW applied to trademark the term “Continental Cup” on March 16. In the application details, it’s listed that the filing is to cover goods and services related to pro wrestling performances:

Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services in the nature of live professional wrestling performances; Entertainment services in the nature of production of professional wrestling programs and events; Entertainment services, namely, production and distribution of ongoing television programs in the field of professional wrestling

The Continental Classic was introduced in 2023 and has become an important part of AEW’s end-of-year calendar. It’s not known whether this trademark is for a trophy or some kind of other element for the round-robin tournament.

Since its debut, the Continental Classic has been won by Eddie Kingston, Kazuchika Okada, and Jon Moxley. Moxley is the current AEW Continental Champion and is coming off a successful title defense against Konosuke Takeshita at Revolution on Sunday night. Following that match, Will Ospreay made his return from neck surgery and targeted Moxley and the Death Riders.

Tony Khan stated at the post-Revolution press conference that AEW will be introducing Continental Classic tracksuits for the tournament participants.

Chris Jericho to guest star on CBS TV show

It’s still not clear when or where we’ll see Chris Jericho in a wrestling ring next. But Jericho will be making a television appearance this Sunday night.

Jericho has announced that he’ll be guest starring as a villain on the March 22 episode of the CBS drama series “Tracker.” The show airs from 9-10 p.m. Eastern time.

“Stoked to announce I’ll be playing the lead bad guy on this Sunday’s episode of @trackercbs, the NUMBER ONE SHOW on network tv!!!,” Jericho posted. “The episode is called #Breakaway also starring @justinhartley, @fionarene, @davidpaulramsey & @durance.erica and was directed by @davidmbarrett395!

“I play #VirgilDean and let’s just say, he’s not a nice guy. Can’t wait for you all to see it, THIS SUNDAY at 9pm EST on @cbstv & @paramountplus!”

The character Jericho plays is described as a stuntman-turned-criminal. Here is the official description for the episode:

After Baxter, a veteran stuntman, disappears following a risky stunt, his girlfriend, Laura, calls Colter to investigate a B-movie set, uncovering shady producers and a trail that leads into a dangerous underground world.

Jericho has now been away from pro wrestling since April 2025. At the start of this year, there were rumors that he could be returning to WWE upon expiration of his AEW deal, but he remains on the AEW roster and is believed to have had his contract frozen.

Last month, Jericho noted that he hopes to do more acting in the future and had filmed four projects that were waiting to come out.

Will Ospreay reveals when he was cleared for AEW return

Before returning at AEW Revolution, Will Ospreay had already been medically cleared for a couple of weeks.

Ospreay made his surprise return at Sunday night’s pay-per-view in Los Angeles, targeting Jon Moxley after Ospreay had been written off AEW programming last year in a Death Riders attack. Ospreay last wrestled in August 2025 before undergoing surgery for a neck injury. He is now ready to compete again.

In a tweet today, Ospreay shared that doctors gave him the okay to return on February 25. That’s a few weeks after AEW started building the hype for Ospreay’s return with a video on the February 4 edition of Dynamite.

The Revolution card included a Continental Championship match where Moxley choked out Konosuke Takeshita to retain. Following the match, Moxley extended a handshake to Takeshita in a show of respect. Takeshita was initially hesitant but did end up shaking Moxley’s hand.

As Moxley was then leaving, Ospreay emerged for his comeback. He fought off the Death Riders before Moxley escaped.

Ospreay’s return coincides with the ticket pre-sale for All In 2026 beginning today. He figures to play a big part in the show in his home country of the United Kingdom. The PPV is being held at Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday, August 30.

During his time away from the ring, Ospreay stayed involved in wrestling through his role as a producer for the U.K. women’s indie promotion Pro Wrestling Eve.

Tony Khan addresses Ronda Rousey-AEW relationship

Tony Khan had high praise for Ronda Rousey after her AEW Revolution appearance and addressed the possibility of her signing with the promotion.

Sunday night’s pay-per-view saw Rousey make a surprise arrival after Marina Shafir lost to “Timeless” Toni Storm. When asked about how the appearance came about at the post-show press conference, Khan cited Rousey’s friend Shafir as being key to making it happen.

“Well, Ronda is a really good friend of Marina Shafir, and Marina brought her in as backup,” Khan said. “Everyone was banned from ringside, so that match was a great wrestling match. I thought Toni and Marina Shafir was a great wrestling match. [Shafir and Storm are] going to have a no holds barred fight on Wednesday night, and I’m looking forward to that.”

While further addressing Rousey’s AEW status, Khan expressed that she’s welcome any time she wants, referencing the one match she worked for ROH in 2023.

“Ronda’s actually wrestled for me before, but never in AEW. Ronda wrestled in ROH,” Khan noted. “We had a great match a few years ago, also here in Los Angeles, it was Ronda and Marina teaming up in ROH against Billie Starkz and the World Champion Athena. I thought it was fantastic. I love that match.

“And when Marina said Ronda was going to be her backup, it was like, ‘Okay, well, everyone’s banned from ringside.’ But once the match was over, Ronda did get involved, she made her presence known, and then Marina really took advantage of the situation, landed a sucker punch on Toni Storm while everybody was very mesmerized that Ronda Rousey was in the house.

“Ronda Rousey is a huge star. So, we have a great relationship with her. She’s wrestled for me before in ROH and she’s always welcome here in AEW anytime.”

At the PPV, Storm defeated Shafir before Rousey showed up to assist her ally. She called out Storm, which led to referees having to break up a confrontation between the two. Shafir then sucker-punched Storm while she was distracted.

“Getting a front row seat to watching this woman shine as her most authentic self brought me so much joy – I’m sorry I couldn’t keep it together better and resist grinning ear to ear all night but I couldn’t be more proud watching @marinashafir’s growth and determination on full display,” Rousey posted on Instagram.

“Thank you @aew and @tonyrkhan for letting me steal the best seat in the house.”

Rousey made her pro wrestling in-ring debut for WWE in 2018 and had two separate runs before wrapping up with the promotion in 2023. This May, she returns to her MMA roots in a highly anticipated clash against Gina Carano that will stream live on Netflix from the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.

Tony Khan clarifies Hangman Page AEW World title stipulation

Hangman Page can never challenge for the AEW World Championship again — unless he breaks his word and goes back on the stipulation he agreed to.

The main event of Revolution on Sunday night saw MJF retain the AEW World Championship against Page in a Texas Death match. As a result, Page is unable to challenge for the title ever again. Tony Khan was asked about that stipulation at the post-PPV press conference and described it as a “gentleman’s handshake.” Like when Cody Rhodes faced Chris Jericho at AEW Full Gear 2019, there is nothing on paper in AEW canon that means the wrestler has to follow through on the stipulation. But Khan believes Page is a man of his word.

“It’s the same thing with Cody, it was a gentleman’s handshake with both of them,” Khan responded when asked how strict the stipulation is. “They both came to me and said, ‘I want to put this at stake.’ And both of them, I told them, ‘That sounds f***ing nuts, dude.’ Both of them really wanted to do it. And in both cases I said, ‘Are you sure?’ And they both said, ‘Yeah.’ So it is an agreement we made. Second time it’s happened. [Page] is somebody that’s known for being a man of his word, and we made an agreement. So it’s a verbal contract.”

After Rhodes lost to Jericho at Full Gear 2019, AEW legitimately stuck to the stipulation and never had Rhodes challenge for the World title again, with Rhodes instead focusing on the TNT Championship until leaving the promotion for WWE in 2022.

Khan said he believes the MJF vs. Page stipulation added a lot of intrigue to the Revolution main event. When asked about filling Page’s void in the title picture, Khan noted that AEW has a “fantastic line of competitors” who want a shot at the championship.

Page is a two-time AEW World Champion, having held the title in 2021-2022 and 2025.

Tony Khan comments on AEW signing Mistico: ‘One of my all-time heroes’

Tony Khan is thrilled to have one of his favorite wrestlers of all time under contract with AEW.

It was announced during AEW Revolution last night that Mistico is officially All Elite. He is now dual-contracted to CMLL and AEW and will be working for both promotions. Along with the announcement, Mistico won his first AEW gold at Revolution, winning the Trios titles with Kevin Knight & “Speedball” Mike Bailey.

At the post-show press conference, Khan discussed the new signing and addressed what Mistico’s schedule will look like.

“I think we will be splitting time,” Khan said. “Obviously, CMLL is an amazing partnership for AEW. And what a sign of trust between the two promotions to have one of the greatest wrestlers of all time now as a dual-signee, joining us in AEW as a champion. Somebody that I have admired for decades, somebody who is a personal hero of mine in the wrestling business. To be able to sit here with Mistico, next to Kevin and Mike, to be able to sit here with JetSpeed and say that they are world champions along with Mistico, who, again, to reiterate, one of my all-time heroes in this business. Somebody who’s accomplished so much. And it’s an honor to be able to sit on the stage with him and say that he’s part of AEW and now a world champion here. It’s so cool.”

Khan noted that he’ll be working with CMLL boss Salvador Lutteroth Lomeli to figure out Mistico’s schedule.

“We’ll be working with Salvador. Now that he’s a champion in AEW, I’ll work with Salvador very closely to make sure we see Mistico in both CMLL and AEW as much as possible,” Khan said.

Hechicero, Persephone, and Mascara Dorada are among the other CMLL stars under similar dual-contracts with both promotions.

Through a translator, Mistico said he’s happy to be All Elite and proud to be a Trios champion. He also sent out a tweet thanking Khan for the opportunity.

Mistico won Wrestler of the Year in the 2025 Wrestling Observer Newsletter Awards. He’s now a two-time winner, having won the award in 2006 as well. He was the biggest star in CMLL in 2025 and helped lead the promotion to a very successful year in business.

Earlier in his career, Mistico spent time in the United States working for WWE as Sin Cara. He’s also competed for MLW recently and is a former MLW Middleweight Champion.

MJF: Tony Khan ‘understands and respects the idea of a traveling champion’

Understanding the value of a traveling World Champion is one thing that differentiates Tony Khan from Vince McMahon.

During his second AEW World Championship reign, MJF has taken the belt to indie promotions like Limitless Wrestling and House of Glory. Bringing back this tradition of defending the World title outside of your home promotion was a goal for MJF, and Khan has given him the freedom to do so. It’s a custom that went away when McMahon had a monopoly over the wrestling industry in the United States.

“The likes of Buddy Rogers and Harley Race … Jack Brisco, Dory Funk, these gentlemen would travel around, not just their local territory, but around all of the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Japan, Australia, and they would wrestle whoever was deemed the best of the best in that local territory or area,” MJF told Uncrowned ahead of AEW Revolution.

“Another thing is we have lost the history and the tradition of our sport, because for a very long time, professional wrestling was a monopoly. It was WWE, and that’s it. The idea of seeing — I’m just going to use an example — John Cena at your local independent company was sacrilegious to a Vince McMahon. But to a Tony Khan, who both understands and respects the idea of a traveling champion, it’s not ridiculous.”

MJF is set to defend his title against Hangman Page in a Texas Death match at Revolution this Sunday. If he retains, MJF will be on track to head into upcoming appearances for One Fall Wrestling and Beyond Wrestling as champion.

In the Uncrowned interview, MJF hyped that the World title picture in AEW right now is better than it has ever been.

“This is the most competitive the top of the card has ever been in the history of our seven-year-old promotion,” he said. “You have me, Hangman, Swerve [Strickland], Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega, Samoa Joe, Andrade El Idolo. Now you’ve got Brody King, who just popped up there and he fits like a glove, whether I want to admit it or not. You’ve got your Kyle Fletchers of the world, who are chomping at the bit, and your [Konosuke] Takeshitas, who are chomping at the bit. I mean, the list goes on and on — and that’s the scary part.”

Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles is hosting Revolution on Sunday. The MJF vs. Page match comes with a stipulation where, if Page loses, he will not be able to challenge for the AEW World Championship again.

Swerve Strickland names his AEW Mount Rushmore

Narrowing it down to four choices is difficult — but Swerve Strickland would choose Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, and Sting as his AEW Mount Rushmore.

Strickland was asked to name his Mount Rushmore of AEW stars while being interviewed by radio station 107.7 The Bone in advance of Sunday’s Revolution pay-per-view. To Strickland, the most important element of being a Mount Rushmore-worthy name is the influence you had. He believes AEW wouldn’t be where it is today without Moxley, Jericho, Omega, and Sting.

“I feel like Mount Rushmore comes up when it’s the guys that really, we wouldn’t be here without these guys. That’s how I always put the Mount Rushmore,” Strickland said. “If I had to go with that, I would say Moxley, Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, and I would say, man, honestly, I’d put Sting up there too. Because that was like — we needed that. All those guys are veterans, but we needed that true legend. He was our legend…

“I felt like Sting also helped get them through the COVID era too. Like, I wasn’t over there at the time, but Sting really held it down and he made such a big difference that I don’t think people talk about enough. When I finally came over and got there, you felt the difference. I was like, ‘Okay, yeah, this matters. This means so much.'”

There are plenty of other options, though, with Strickland pointing to talent that were pivotal in shaping the men’s, women’s, and tag team divisions.

“It’s tough because you still have the Hangmans, you still have MJF over there. You still have the Bryan Danielsons,” he said. “You still have all these guys that matter so much — and girls. Britt Baker mattered so much at the time. Riho, [Hikaru] Shida, Thunder Rosa. Then that evolved into Athena coming in, Mercedes [Mone], Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter. The evolution just kept, like, boom, boom, boom. Willow [Nightingale] with the TBS title. You had Jade [Cargill] at the time. There’s so many different chapters you could turn on the page of AEW just in the women’s division alone.

“And then the men’s, I came in, then Bryan Danielson after me, [Will] Ospreay changed the whole act three. It’s scary how deep this is. [Young] Bucks, FTR. It can be endless. Even still, these guys don’t get enough credit too for the tag division, but I’ll say The Acclaimed. I’ll go say Acclaimed and Billy [Gunn]. They don’t get enough credit either for being day ones to finally hitting their stride after a couple of years”

This May will mark the seventh anniversary of AEW’s first-ever event. The promotion has Revolution coming up this weekend, then Dynasty in April and Double or Nothing in May. Strickland vs. Brody King is part of the lineup for Revolution.
