UFC on ESPN+ 121 live results: Steve Garcia vs. David Onama

The UFC kicks off a busy month of November as the Octagon returns home inside of the UFC Apex in Las Vegas for tonight’s UFC on ESPN+ 121.

The main event is a battle of ranked featherweights each competing in their first main event as 12th-ranked Steve Garcia takes on 13th-ranked David Onama. Garcia comes in riding a six-fight win streak, last beating Calvin Kattar in July. Onama enters the fight on the heels of four consecutive wins with his last coming over Giga Chikadze in April.

The co-main event sees top ten heavyweights square off as Waldo Cortes-Acosta takes on Ante Delija. Also on the main card is a welterweight bout pitting Jeremiah Wells against Themba Gorimbo; a battle of featherweight prospects as Isaac Dulgarian takes on Yadier del Valle; and a welterweight slugfest between Charles Radtke and Daniel Frunza.

> Women’s Strawweights- Talita Alencar (6-1-1, 2-1 UFC) vs. Ariane Carnelossi (15-3, 3-2 UFC)

They trade to start as Carnelossi lands a left hook. Alencar lands a body kick as Carnelossi fires in a combo. Alencar forces it against the fence as they clinch. Carnelossi lands a right hand as they break. They trade against the fence and Alencar circles away. Alencar lands a combination. Carnelossi looks for a takedown against the fence. Carnelossi with some punches as she’s pressuring Alencar against the fence. They trade knees as they take turns reversing position. Alencar gets a brief takedown as Carnelossi gets up. Alencar lands an elbow as they separate. They clinch back up with Carnelossi in control and she lands some knees. Alencar gets a takedown and Carnelossi is throwing upkicks. Alencar gets on top and lands to end the round. 10-9 Alencar.

They come out trading punches and leg kicks as Carnelossi is being aggressive to start the second. They trade punches. Carnelossi chasing Alencar around and landing. Alencar lands a high kick. They trade leg kicks. Alencar lands a right hand, and Carnelossi fires back a right hand and a leg kick. Carnelossi lands more heavy leg kicks. Carnelossi is taking over on the feet. Alencar rocks Carnelossi with a right hand and lands a big knee and gets Carnelossi down to the mat. Alencar has head control as they scramble. Alencar is looking for a crucifix position as Carnelossi is trying to break the grip. Alencar lands a few elbows and they go to the mat. Alencar lands from the back. Alencar has the back late and a choke locked in but Carnelossi survives. Wow. 10-9 Alencar, 20-18 Alencar.

Carnelossi pushing forward and they both land. Alencar lands a jab. Carnelossi landing with more volume as Alencar is tired. Carnelossi throws a kick and Alencar grabs the leg and scores a takedown. Alencar is working to get the top as Carnelossi is attacking a foot. Alencar controlling on the ground and landing to the body. Alencar has the back against the fence. Alencar locks in a rear-naked choke and it forces Carnelossi to tap late in the fight.

> Welterweights- Phil Rowe (11-5, 4-3 UFC) vs. Seokhyeon Ko (12-2, 1-0 UFC)

Ko with some early leg kicks and Rowe fires back one. Ko lands a left hand and scores a takedown. Ko controlling and lands some elbows from the half-guard. Ko gets inside the full guard of Rowe and then starts landing as he has the back on the mat. They stand and Ko is able to get Rowe back to the mat. Ko with some short elbows from the top. He continues to land some more. Ko with a few more. 10-9 Ko.

Rowe lands a right hand and Ko hurts him with a left hand. Rowe backs up to the fence and Ko grabs a leg and scores a takedown. Ko is working from side control with short shots and looks to take the mount, but only gets to the half-guard. Ko with lots of pressure and punches and elbows from the top. Ko landing lots of punches and elbows from the top. Ko looking for the mount but he keeps on top and keeps smothering Rowe. 10-9 Ko, 20-18 Ko.

They trade leg kicks. Ko lands another and Rowe lands a right hand. Ko scores a takedown and lands some big elbows from the top. Rowe is trying to escape from the top but Ko is keeping him pinned. Ko is mixing elbows and punches and even lands some knees when Rowe tries to scramble out. Rowe attacks a leg but Ko is defending and lands some elbows. They stand and Ko pressues it against the fence and lands some knees. 10-9 Ko, 30-27 Ko.

> Women’s Strawweights- Alice Ardelean (10-7, 1-2 UFC) vs. Montserrat Conejo Ruiz (10-4, 1-3 UFC)

Ardelean pushes forward and they trade leg kicks as both land punches. Ardelean with a right hand to the body as they trade in close range. Ruiz is landng and connects with a few left hands. Ardelean is landing in close range. Ruiz lands a left hand but eats a combo from Ardelean. Ardelean lands a combo but eats a combo from Ruiz. Ruiz initiates a clinch, but nothing much happens as they separate. Ardelean lands as Ruiz charges forward. Ardelean jumps on the back late and has control. 10-9 Ardelean.

Ardelean lands a high kick. They trade inside the pocket. Ardelean lands a combination and is getting the better of the volume. Ruiz looks for a takedown but Ardelean defends and Ardelean lands inside the pocket. They trade kicks and Ardelean lands a right hand. They clinch for a moment but break. Ardelean is pressuring Ruiz and lands, though Ruiz lands some. Ruiz shoots for a takedown but Ardelean defends it. Ardelean working to the head and body. Ruiz lands a left hand but Ardelean fires back a combination. Ardelean with a jab that Ruiz is walking right into. They trade to start the third as Ardelean is pressing forward and Ruiz is throwing punches that aren’t connecting. Ardelean lands a body kick and they clinch up. Ruiz has good position but Ardelean is scrambling out and Ardelean lands. Ardelean with a pair of jabs. They trade inside the pocket and Ardelean lands better but Ruiz connects with a left hand. They trade leg kicks. They trade combs and Ruiz lands short kicks. Ardelean lands inside the pocket. Ardelean hurts Ruiz with a right hand. Ruiz gets a late takedown. 10-9 Ardelean, 30-27 Ardelean.

Dumas lands a front kick and scores a takedown. Dumas is leaning on Johnson but there isn’t much action is going on. Johnson gets up and Dumas has the leg. Johnson with some hammerfists and he escapes and grabs body control. Johnson gets a big slam takedown despite Dumas trying to grab the fence. They scramble up and Johnson has control along the fence. Dumas lands a knee. They separate. Dumas tries to spin but Johnson gets a takedown and has the back as they stand. They break as Johnson lands. Dumas keeps spinning. Johnson lands a right hand and Dumas shoots, but Johnson ends up on top. Johnson with a big elbow. 10-9 Johnson.

Dumas lands a body kick as Johnson lands a left hand. Dumas shoots for a takedown but Johnson defends and then scores a takedown. Johnson is attacking the neck and lands some short punches. Cuamba lands a right hand as Lee lands a leg kick and Lee starts looking for a takedown against the fence. Lee has the back and drags it down. They stand with Lee on Cuamba’s back. Lee landing right hands from the back. Cuamba is fighting the hands as Lee is hitting him and Lee is looking for an opening. Lee controls from the back until the end as he takes Cuamba down. 10-9 Lee.

Cuamba lands a leg kick and tries a flying knee, but Lee grabs the body and is looking for a takedown. Cuamba has the neck and is looking to roll for a choke. Lee escape. Cuamba lands a right hand but Lee is able to clip him with a left hook. Lee lands and scores a takedown. Cuamba looking for a choke from the bottom. He lets go. They scramble up and Lee has control. They trade leg kicks. Elekana lands a front kick. Christian lands a leg kick. He lands another. Elekana fires back a leg kick. Christian with a body kick. He lands another. He lands an inside leg kick. Elekana drops Christian with a big left hand and starts lading from the top. Elekana grabs the back and locks in a rear-naked choke and Christian was tapping where the referee couldn’t see and he eventually goes out and the fight is all over! What a finish by Elekana!

He lands another leg kick. Nascimento with a leg kick as Durden works the jab. Nascimento with a pair of leg kicks. Durden lands a body kick. They trade punches. Durden lands a leg kick. Durden lands a right hand and then one to the body. Durden lands again and lands a leg kick. They trade and Nascimento is back landing leg kicks. They trade inside the pocket. Nascimento with some front kicks. Durden lands a right hand. They trade heavy leg kicks. Nascimento with a left hand. 10-9 Durden.

Radtke lands a leg kick. Radtke lands a high kick. They trade inside the pocket as Radtke lands an uppercut. Radtke scores a takedown and has the back with a hook in. Radtke lands some big punches from the back and Frunza is covering up. Radtke has the body triangle locked on and is landing before he locks in a choke. Frunza is trying to fight it but the choke is in deep. Frunza was able to fight it off. Both landing punches now. Radtke landing more. 10-9 Radtke.

Radtke in total control from the top as he continues to land and gets top mount and half back mount. Frunza is doing nothing on the bottom and gets warned for grabbing the fence. Dulgarian is trying to roll out and del Valle starts landing punches. del Valle flattens Dulgarian out and is landing big punches. del Valle locks in a rear-naked choke. Dulgarian is trying to fight it off. del Valle is working for the choke. It is in deep. Dulgarian is trying to fight it off but he ends up tapping. Big finish from del Valle!

Gorimbo with some right hands from the top. Wells gives up his back. They get to their feet and Wells looks for a takedown, but Gorimbo counters and ends up on top in the half-guard. They scramble up, but Gorimbo is able to get it back down. They end up getting back to their feet and remain tied up. Wells gets a late takedown. 10-9 Gorimbo.

Gorimbo lands a body kick. Gorimbo scores a takedown and works inside the guard. They scramble up and Wells has the neck standing but ends up letting go. They trade and Wells lands a left hand. Wells scores a takedown and is working from the top as he lands to the body and has neck control. Wells gets the mount but Gorimbo is able to reverse to the top and end the round on top. 10-9 Wells, 19-19.

They trade body kicks and Wells lands a right hand. Gorimbo gets a takedown and Wells has the neck and is looking for a choke, but Gorimbo is being patient in trying to escape. Gorimbo gets his neck out and is in the top half-guard and looking for an arm-triangle choke. Wells slips out and they go to the fence and scramble to the feet. Wells looks for a takedown and is able to score. Wells is looking for an arm-triangle choke. Wells lets go and has the back. Gorimbo is trying to scramble out but Wells is maintaining control. Delija lands some leg kicks while Cortes-Acosta lands to the body. Delija looks for a takedown against the fence, but Cortes-Acosta reverses position and pushes Delija against the fence. They separate and Delija pushes it against the fence, but they separate. They start swinging big shots and Delija lands some big shots and is teeing off on Cortes-Acosta and lots of shots end it for Delija! Cortes-Acosta is claiming he was poked in the eye before the finish and referee Mark Smith is calling for a replay. The replay shows an eye poke and this fight is going to continue. They get back going and Cortes-Acosta lands a leg kick. Cortes-Acosta drops Delija and lands some hammerfists and it is all over! What a turn of events!

Garcia lands a combo and Onama lands a left hand. Garcia with a double jab. Garcia lands a couple of big left hands and Onama is backing away. Garcia lands a left hand as Onama lands a short right hand. Garcia continues to land left hands and Onama lands a jab, but Garcia lands a pair of combinations. Garcia with another left hand. Garcia lands a left hand. Garcia lands a left hand and Onama goes down but gets up, though he’s on wobbly legs. Garcia starts teeing off and Onama is hurt and backing up and Garcia is looking for the finish. Garcia continues to land and Onama goes to the mat and some follow-up shots end it. What a finish from Garcia!

UFC star Michael Chandler on potential WWE crossover: ‘It intrigues me’

UFC star Michael Chandler remains intrigued by the idea of crossing over into WWE.

The 39-year-old Chandler has already made one WWE appearance, cutting a promo on a February 2024 episode of Raw. He’s spoken with Paul “Triple H” Levesque about the possibility of competing for WWE — and Chandler is still interested in making that a reality.

“I mean, I think it intrigues me. I think it intrigues me,” Chandler said on Insight with Chris Van Vliet. “I think it’s a lot of fun. I do think I would enjoy it. I think there would be some intrigue and interest on both sides. And I think, you know, spending some time with Sheamus and a couple of other friends I have.

“Diamond Dallas Page has been a friend of mine for a very, very long time also. And what’s really cool about him, too, which would be kind of similar to my story, where he’s like, you know, cause he always said, ‘My career didn’t take off until I was 40.’ Wasn’t he a manager or something? [He debuted at] 35, right? And then he took off at 40, you know?”

Chandler said he likes that wrestling has a lot of mature competitors who are able to thrive into their 30s and beyond. He doesn’t love being the center of attention in his personal life, but he’s able to turn on that side of his personality when it’s time to compete.

“So I’m just a fan of the sport. Love to go to the live events, obviously,” Chandler said. “Love to watch it on TV.”

Chandler named DDP and Steve Austin as some of his favorite wrestlers growing up. He’s even more into wrestling now than when he was a kid, listing Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, and Bryan Danielson as some of the people he’s liked watching.

At the moment, Chandler is still focused on his MMA career. Becoming a UFC champion is a big goal for him. He also has his eyes on the UFC’s White House show in June 2026, hoping to face Conor McGregor. A WWE transition does look to be a realistic possibility at some point in the future, though, especially given that WWE and UFC are owned by the same parent company.

“Obviously, they know I’m interested,” Chandler said about WWE. “I believe they’re interested. So we’ll see where we’re at.”

UFC, Paramount announce expansion of media rights deal

Before the new UFC U.S. media rights deal on Paramount begins in 2026, the two brands are already expanding on it.

Announced on Tuesday, Paramount (via parent company Skydance) and UFC (via parent company TKO) revealed a new seven-year media rights deal that will add Latin America and Australia to the mix via the Paramount+ streaming service, aligning them with the U.S. rights.

Like with the U.S. rights, the deal begins this January.

While the Latin America rights are identical to the U.S. which includes 13 numbered (formerly PPV) events and 30 Fight Night cards, the Australia portion includes just the Fight Night shows and prelims for the UFC numbered shows. That is because UFC PPVs are available on Kayo Sports via a multi-year deal announced in January 2024.

While ads have run on U.S. TV, the date and card for the first UFC event on Paramount+ and/or CBS has yet to be announced. The two sides announced a seven-year, $7.7 billion domestic rights deal in August.

UFC 321 live results: Aspinall vs. Gane, Jandiroba vs. Dern

The annual October trip for the Octagon to Abu Dhabi for a major pay-per-view event is upon us as two title fights headline UFC 321 at the Etihad Arena.

The main event sees UFC Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall making his first title defense since being named the undisputed champion as he defends against former Interim UFC Heavyweight Champion Ciryl Gane. Aspinall had two title wins in interim titles, and has won three straight fights overall. Gane gets another chance at becoming champion on the heels of two straight wins.

The co-main event will see a new champion crowned at 115 pounds as Virna Jandiroba and Mackenzie Dern rematch for the vacant UFC Women’s Strawweight Championship. The title became vacant after Zhang Weili decided to move to 125 pounds. Dern holds a win over Jandiroba, coming in December 2020.

The rest of the main card features fights all between ranked fighters as Umar Nurmagomedov battles Mario Bautista in a bantamweight bout; Alexander Volkov squares off against Jailton Almeida in a potential title eliminator bout in the heavyweight division; and Aleksandar Rakic takes on Azamat Murzakanov in a light heavyweight tilt.

Amorim scores a takedown. They scramble up and Amorim gets the back and drags it back down. Amorim is working for a choke and has it locked in at a weird angle, and Inoue is able to get out, though Amorim gets the full mount. Inoue is able to reverse and now is inside the guard of Amorim and landing. Inoue lands some big shots that hurt Amorim to end the round. 10-9 Inoue.

They trade to start the second. Amorim lands a right hand but is circling around. Amorim shoots for a takedown but Inoue sprawls. They clinch against the fence and Inoue is landing some short shots. Inoue gets a takedown and works from the half-guard. They get to their feet, but Amorim pulls guard and Inoue is back on top landing punches and elbows. Inoue postures up and lands as she gets back inside the guard of Amorim. Amorim looks for an arm but Inoue escapes and lands. 10-9 Inoue, 20-18 Inoue.

They trade and clinch up and Amorim lands some knees, but Inoue gets it back down to the mat. Inoue lands from the top before standing and Amorim is slow to get to her feet. They trade and a headbutt opens up a cut on Inoue. Inoue lands some body shots and Amorim looks for a takedown, but Inoue defends and ties up against the fence. Inoue lands some knees. Amorim falls to the mat and looks for a leg, but Inoue backs off, and Amorim is again slow to her feet. Inoue lands and Amorim shoots for a takedown, but Inoue defends. Inoue lands from the top. Inoue takes the back and lands as they get up. They are clinched against the fence and Inoue is landing. Inoue landing lots as they end it. 10-9 Inoue, 30-27 Inoue.

Volkov reverses to the top and lands some short elbows. Volkov stands as Almeida is really doing nothing. Volkov lands some punches from the top. Volkov lands some more short elbows and some right hands at the end. 10-9 Volkov.

Almeida lands a right hand and immediately drops down and scores a takedown. He is inside the guard of Volkov. Almeida moves to the half-guard and is just holding and not doing anything at all. They trade in close as Gane lands a jab. Aspinall with a heavy leg kick. Aspinall lands a left hand as Gane lands a kick and also pokes Aspinall in the eye, so timeout is called. He was actually poked in both eyes and Aspinall is saying he can’t see. The doctors are called in and Aspinall says he still can’t see and the fight is stopped. This is such a bad way to end it as it will be a no contest.

The Octagon heads back north of the border, returning to Canada for UFC On ESPN+ 120 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The main event is a pivotal middleweight bout between Reinier de Ridder and Brendan Allen. de Ridder fights for the fifth time in just a year on the UFC roster, and is looking to remain undefeated inside the Octagon and earn a title shot. Allen, who is taking this fight on short notice replacing Anthony Hernandez, looks for his second straight win.

In the co-main event, Kevin Holland looks to build some momentum in the welterweight division as he looks to get back into the win column against rising Canadian contender Mike Malott, winner of his previous two outings.

Also on the main card is a pair of top-ten battles as Marlon Vera takes on Aiemann Zahabi in a bantamweight clash; and Manon Fiorot takes on Jasmine Jasudavicius in a big women’s flyweight bout. Plus, bantamweights Charles Jourdain and Davey Grant square off; and an explosive lightweight battle between Kyle Nelson and Matt Frevola kicks off the main card.

The Octagon returns to Brazil for the first time since May 2024 as UFC On ESPN+ 119 takes place from the Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro.

The main event is a five-round battle in the lightweight division as former UFC Lightweight Champion Charles Oliveira takes on Mateusz Gamrot. Oliveira is looking to bounce back from a title fight loss to Ilia Topuria in June as he fights in Brazil for the first time since March 2020. Gamrot takes this fight on short notice, replacing an injured Rafael Fiziev, looking to score his second straight win.

In the co-main event, former UFC Flyweight Champion Deiveson Figueiredo looks to get back into the win column as he battles Montel Jackson, winner of six straight fights, in a bantamweight clash.

Also on the main card is a welterweight bout between Vicente Luque and Joel Alvarez; a heavyweight bout pitting Jhonata Diniz against Mario Pinto; and a pair of featherweight fights as Ricardo Ramos takes on Kaan Ofli, and Lucas Almeida squares off with Michael Aswell.

Conor McGregor suspended 18 months under UFC anti-doping policy

If Conor McGregor returns to the UFC Octagon, it won’t be until March 2026 at the earliest.

Combat Sports Anti-Doping — UFC’s drug testing partner — announced today that McGregor has accepted an 18-month suspension for three policy violations that occurred in 2024. All three violations were for “whereabouts failures,” meaning that McGregor did not make himself available for testing. His suspension is retroactive to his third failure on September 20, 2024 and will run through March 20, 2026.

“Although McGregor failed to make himself available for testing on those dates, CSAD noted that he was recovering from an injury and was not preparing for an upcoming fight at the time of the three missed tests,” a press release said. “McGregor fully cooperated with CSAD’s investigation, accepted responsibility, and provided detailed information that CSAD determined contributed to the missed tests.

“Despite these mitigating factors, CSAD emphasizes that accurate whereabouts filings and the ability to conduct unannounced testing are essential to the success of the UFC ADP. Taking McGregor’s cooperation and circumstances into account, CSAD reduced the standard 24-month sanction for three whereabouts failures by six months. His period of ineligibility began on September 20, 2024 (the date of his third whereabouts failure) and will conclude on March 20, 2026.”

McGregor has publicly expressed interest in fighting on the card UFC is staging at the White House next year, though Dana White clarified that no deal has been completed for McGregor to fight as of now. The White House event is scheduled for June 14, 2026, so McGregor fighting at the event remains a possibility despite his suspension.

The last time we saw McGregor compete in UFC was more than four years ago, when he lost a pair of bouts to Dustin Poirier in 2021. The latter fight ended when McGregor suffered a broken leg.

A June 2024 return with McGregor facing Michael Chandler was planned until McGregor suffered a broken toe in training.

President Trump reveals date for UFC event at The White House

A date for the upcoming UFC event at the White House has seemingly been set.

During remarks at a speech on Sunday, President Trump said that the fights would take place on June 14, which happens to be his birthday. UFC has not yet confirmed the date.

“And on June 14, next year, we’re going to have a big UFC fight at the White House, on the grounds of the White House,” he said.

President Trump has frequently brought up the idea of a UFC event at the White House as part of America 250 celebrations taking place next year. Dana White confirmed the event was taking place back in August. Both Jon Jones and Conor McGregor have expressed interest in the event, though Dana White has said that the card has yet to be decided.

Both UFC and WWE officials have enjoyed a relationship with President Trump during his second term. White has been seen frequently with the president, appearing during his victory speech upon being re-elected last year. Trump has also been spotted at a few UFC events since returning to office.

This past week, both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon appeared with President Trump at the Oval Office as part of an executive order on using AI to help pediatric cancer treatments.

The Octagon is back on pay-per-view and back home in Las Vegas as UFC 320, with two titles on the line, takes place inside the T-Mobile Arena.

The main event sees a rematch for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship as current champion Magomed Ankalaev defends against former champion Alex Pereira. Ankalaev defeated Pereira for the title at UFC 313 in March, winning a unanimous decision. He makes his first title defense looking to extend his 14-fight unbeaten streak, while Pereira looks for his second reign at 205 pounds, and third title reign overall.

The co-main event sees UFC Bantamweight Champion Merab Dvalishvili make his third title defense in 2025 as he takes on challenger Cory Sandhagen. Dvalishvili has won 13 straight fights and is coming off wins over Sean O’Malley and Umar Nurmagomedov this year. Sandhagen gets his long-awaited title shot off the heels of a win over Deiveson Figueiredo in May.

Also on the main card is a light heavyweight battle between former champion Jiri Prochazka and Khalil Rountree Jr.; a featherweight fight pitting Josh Emmett against Youssef Zalal; and a middleweight opener with Abus Magomedov taking on Joe Pyfer.

They scramble up and Magomedov keeps back control and then rag dolls Pyfer back down. Magomedov is looking for an armbar but he lets go and gets back to side control and lands a knee to the body. They get to their feet. Magomedov lands a front kick and a left hand. Magomedov with a jab. Pyfer lands a right hand. 10-9 Magomedov.

Pyfer lands a right hand and then lands again and Magomedov goes down to the mat. Pyfer gets on top and lands a couple of big elbows. Pyfer is looking for an arm-triangle choke and has it locked in. Magomedov escapes but Pyfer is still in the mount and then takes the back. Pyfer landing from the back and locks in a rear-naked choke and Magomedov taps! Big win for Pyfer.

JNPO: ‘The Smashing Machine’ review & a talk with Bas Rutten

First announced two years ago, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s biopic on MMA legend Mark Kerr — The Smashing Machine — finally hits theaters this Friday.

After seeing a screening of the movie last week, Josh Nason gives you his full spoiler-free thoughts on the performances by Johnson, Emily Blunt and Ryan Bader. He also talks about whether this is a potential Oscar winner and movie critic culture he observed while in the theatre.

Then, Josh talks with one of the stars of the film: the one and only Bas Rutten. The former UFC and Pancrase champion turned broadcaster talks about his involvement in the film, whether it was difficult to go back to that time in his life, and his interactions with Johnson and Blunt.

TKO’s Zuffa Boxing signs TV rights deal with Paramount

Paramount/Skydance is doubling down on their relationship with TKO, announcing a media rights deal with their budding Zuffa Boxing promotion.

Announced on Monday morning, it is a “long-term media rights agreement in which Paramount+ will become the exclusive home of Zuffa Boxing throughout the U.S., Canada, and Latin America.”

Unlike the UFC’s seven-year, $7+ billion contract signed in August, no financial terms were disclosed.

The promotion is backed by Saudi Arabia’s Turki Alalshikh and includes UFC’s Dana White and WWE’s Nick Khan as the management team.

The deal begins in January 2026 with 12 events in the calendar year “with plans to grow that number in subsequent years.” The shows will stream on Paramount+ “with the potential for select events to be simulcast on CBS.” The wording was less definitive on the CBS front than in their UFC release.

TKO was involved in the promotion of this month’s Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford fight in Las Vegas.

UFC on ESPN+ 118 live results: Carlos Ulberg vs. Dominick Reyes

The Octagon heads back Down Under as the UFC ends the month of September with UFC On ESPN+ 118 from the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.

The main event is a potential title eliminator bout in the light heavyweight division as Carlos Ulberg takes on Dominick Reyes. Ulberg, ranked third at 205 pounds, comes into his first main event riding an eight-fight win streak. Reyes, a former title challenger currently ranked seventh at 205 pounds, is looking to score his fourth straight win.

In the co-main event, Jimmy Crute looks for his second straight win against Ivan Erslan. Also on the main card is a featherweight bout between Jack Jenkins and Ramon Tavares; a welterweight bout between Jake Matthews and the all-time UFC wins leader at 170 pounds, Neil Magny; and a lightweight bout pitting Tom Nolan against Charlie Campbell.

For the third straight year, the UFC celebrates Mexican Independence Day with a special Noche UFC event as Noche UFC 3 takes place from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.

The main event is an exciting five-round bout in the middleweight division as Diego Lopes takes on Jean Silva. Lopes is looking to rebound from an unsuccessful shot at winning UFC gold, as he suffered a title fight loss to Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 314 in April, ending a five-fight win streak. At that same event, Silva scored a second-round submission win over Bryce Mitchell, moving his win streak to 13 straight fights.

In the co-main event, top-ten bantamweight Rob Font takes on David Martinez as Martinez steps up for the big challenge on short notice. Also on the main card is a lightweight bout pitting Rafa Garcia against Jared Gordon; a middleweight bout between former TUF winner Kelvin Gastelum and Dustin Stoltzfus; and a lightweight bout between Alexander Hernandez and Diego Ferreira.

Lopes with a leg kick. Silva with a front kick to the face. They trade leg kicks. Lopes with more calf kicks. Silva lands a pair of leg kicks. Silva tries a spin kick and Lopes grabs him and scores a takedown. Lopes ends up in the mount as he lands. Lopes gets the back of Silva and is landing lots of punches. Lopes gets back into the mount and is landing elbows. Lopes with more big elbows and now he lands punches as Silva is trying to escape. Lopes is landing lots of shots. Silva is able to reverse and they get to their feet. Silva with a front kick to the face. Silva lands a combo and lands another right hand. 10-8 Lopes.

Silva rocks Lopes with a right hand. Silva with another big right hand. Silva lands a combo and a left hand. Lopes lands a left hand. Silva with some body shots as Lopes lands a left hand. Lopes ducks under a Silva punch and takes the back and starts to land. Lopes gets a takedown but they stand, and Lopes gets it back down and is in side control. They get to their feet and Silva lands some big combinations. Silva with a body kick. Lopes lands a spinning elbow and Silva goes down. Lopes starts landing big shots and Silva is gushing blood and it is all over! WOW, what an incredible fight!

TKO’s Mark Shapiro on athlete pay: We’ll share ‘as much as makes sense with the stars’ of WWE & UFC

Of all the things that came up during a 35-minute appearance at a technology conference Wednesday, getting asked about fighter and wrestler pay likely wasn’t at the top of TKO COO Mark Shapiro’s list.

That did happen, however, as during the annual Goldman Sachs Communacopia & Technology Conference, Shapiro (seen above) was asked about his take on fighter and wrestler pay as relates to the level of reinvestment into the company and how investors should take that into account.

Shapiro said they already run “a pretty lean cost structure” that fighter and wrestler pay is part of, but they will “continue to do right by our fighters and our (WWE) superstars.”

“The cream of the crop will get paid the premium dollars,” he said, adding that when they sign big rights deals like UFC’s with Paramount and WWE’s with ESPN, they reinvest in the product. He used UFC doing “of the night” bonuses when they signed with ESPN as an example of that, perhaps not realizing UFC bonuses began long before the ESPN deal.

“We’re going to share as much as makes sense with the stars of both leagues. We will be very competitive…we are very competitive. We pay more than any other competitor in the combat sports space. We know why we’re here and it’s a team effort,” he said.

Citing the amount of events TKO runs in a year, Shapiro said, “We have to pay for performance in terms of our people and the same goes for our fighters and (WWE) superstars.”

He said there are cases where Conor McGregor and Jon Jones get paid more, but they “deliver more in return. It’s a scale and a formula, and we’re very transparent about it with our fighters and (WWE) superstars.”

Shapiro also talked about how ticket prices remain an area of opportunity for WWE as Vince McMahon priced tickets for families, and that Wrestlepalooza is seen by TKO as a potential “Big Four” PLE of the year for WWE.
