UFC 327 live results: Jiri Prochazka vs. Carlos Ulberg

A new champion will be crowned as the Octagon heads back to The Sunshine State for UFC 327 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.

The main event will see the vacant UFC Light Heavyweight Championship on the line as former champion Jiri Prochazka looks to start another reign at top when he takes on Carlos Ulberg. Prochazka comes in on a two-fight win streak and a third-round knockout win over Khalil Rountree in an incredible fight in October. Ulberg looks to bring another UFC title to New Zealand on the heels of nine consecutive wins.

In the co-main event, undefeated light heavyweight contender Azamat Murzakanov looks to earn a title shot and a 17th straight win as he battles former middleweight title challenger Paulo Costa.

Also on the main card is a heavyweight bout pitting Curtis Blaydes against Josh Hokit; light heavyweight bout between Dominick Reyes and Johnny Walker; and long-time UFC and WEC veteran Cub Swanson in his retirement bout against Nate Landwehr.

A two-hour block of fights airs on CBS at 8 p.m. eastern time, featuring the main card bouts between Reyes and Walker, and Swanson and Landwehr. Two prelim bouts also air which sees a battle of former Bellator stars Patricio Pitbull and Aaron Pico; and Kevin Holland takes on Randy Brown.

They trade and Prado lands a left hook and then one to the body and a body kick. Radtke briefly hurts Prado with a jab. Radtke scores a takedown. They scramble and Radtke is able to remain on top. Radtke lands and they scramble, but Radtke is able to keep it down and is on the back of Prado. Prado is able to spin, but Radtke remains on top and is landing punches. Prado rolls for a leg and looks for a leg lock, but Radtke lands a left hand and stands to escape. Radtke gets back on top and lands some left hands. Radtke lands from the bottom and Prado with a pair of elbows to the body and head. Radtke with some elbows from the bottom that cut Prado open. Prado is bleeding badly, though he lands from the top. Main Event: Prochazka vs. Ulberg – Vacant LHW Title

This is one of the most stylistically fascinating title fights the light heavyweight division has produced in years. Jiří Procházka (-121) enters as the betting favorite with an implied win probability of 54.7%, while Carlos Ulberg checks in at +102 with a 49.5% implied probability…so essentially a near coin-flip on paper.

The key analytical debate here is level of competition. Procházka has faced the absolute pinnacle of the 205-pound division, including two brutal wars with Alex Pereira, while Ulberg’s nine-fight UFC winning streak, though impressive, has largely come against complementary-level opponents until very recently. That experience gap at the very top is the differentiating factor in the main event here.

Ulberg’s higher significant strike output is the tactical wildcard. If “Black Jag” can impose a fast, systematic pace and avoid the chaos Prochazka thrives in, he has a genuine path to the belt. But Prochazka’s chin is historically elite, only Pereira’s stone hands have stopped him, and if he smells blood, he will swarm.

Co-Main Event: Murzakanov vs. Costa

Azamat Murzakanov (-197) is the biggest favorite on the main card. The unbeaten Murzakanov arrives at 16–0, riding dominant UFC performances including a first-round KO of Aleksandar Rakic. Paulo Costa (+168) carries enormous power but has looked increasingly chinny in recent outings against elite competition.

Costa’s aggression could make for a wild opening round, but Murzakanov’s undefeated record is built on clean, composed finishing ability. That’s the kind of thing that exploits exactly the reckless forward pressure Costa provides.

Blaydes vs. Hokit

Josh Hokit arrives at a perfect 8-0 (3–0 UFC) and carries genuinely elite grappling metrics, averaging a staggering 8.74 takedowns per 15 minutes with a 100% takedown defense rate (via UFCStats). Curtis Blaydes (-134) is the more experienced and proven heavyweight, but Hokit represents a genuine spoiler threat.

Reyes vs. Walker

Dominick Reyes is listed as a -130 favorite, but Johnny Walker (+110) represents real underdog value here. Walker’s knockout power and lengthy frame (82″ reach) create structural problems for Reyes, who has been knocked out in two of his last four fights. This is easily the most explosive fight on the card outside the main event and it should hopefully be a barnburner.

Swanson vs. Landwehr

Nate Landwehr (-122) is the slight favorite, but Cub Swanson (+102 to +120) is the smart play in what could be the veteran’s retirement fight. The most intriguing prelim matchup analytically is Patrício Pitbull vs. Aaron Pico at featherweight. Pitbull is Bellator’s greatest champion and brings a technically diverse skill set, but Pico, a lifelong wrestling prodigy turned elite striker, represents the division’s future. At -325, Pico is heavily favored, but Pitbull’s championship experience makes him a live underdog worth monitoring at +260.

The Octagon heads back Down Under as the UFC ends the month of September with UFC On ESPN+ 118 from the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.

The main event is a potential title eliminator bout in the light heavyweight division as Carlos Ulberg takes on Dominick Reyes. Ulberg, ranked third at 205 pounds, comes into his first main event riding an eight-fight win streak. Reyes, a former title challenger currently ranked seventh at 205 pounds, is looking to score his fourth straight win.

In the co-main event, Jimmy Crute looks for his second straight win against Ivan Erslan. Also on the main card is a featherweight bout between Jack Jenkins and Ramon Tavares; a welterweight bout between Jake Matthews and the all-time UFC wins leader at 170 pounds, Neil Magny; and a lightweight bout pitting Tom Nolan against Charlie Campbell.

He pins an arm of Musasa and lands several right hands. Thicknesse keeps on top and continues to land a lot of punches that aren’t being defended. Thicknesse just pouring it on trying to find a finish but Musasa is doing enough on the bottom to keep it from being stopped. They trade kicks. Nolan lands a combination. Campbell with some more kicks. Campbell lands a right hand. Campbell lands again as they trade before clinching up. Campbell lands a combo as they break. They trade kicks. Nolan lands a combo. Campbell lands a right hand and lands some power shots. Nolan clips Campbell and he goes to a knee, but gets up and they clinch. Nolan with some short shots and gets Campbell to the mat and has the back. Nolan looks for a choke and has it in and Campbell taps! Nolan picks up the submission win.

There is some controversy as it looked like the referee may have stepped in before the horn sounded but apparently he didn’t. Replay shows the referee called it before the horn but then said the round is just over. This is a weird situation but the fight goes on. 10-9 Matthews.

Matthews moves into a mounted triangle and is landing. Magny is trying to escape and Matthews moves to the half-guard. They trade. Magny shoots for a takedown as Matthews grabs the neck and drops down looking for a guillotine choke. Magny scrambles out to his feet. Magny in the control position as he lands to the body. Magny then lands a flurry as they separate and he lands a knee as they are clinched. Magny has the neck and lands a knee. Magny gets on top as they go down to the mat. Matthews is able to scramble up and has a single leg. Magny has a D’Arce choke locked in and Matthews taps! Wow, Magny pulls out the submission win out of nowhere.
